Trying to pressure myself less today, to take things with calm and ease, to remind myself that whatever I get done is good enough, that baby steps still count as progress and to let go of doing things with perfectionism so I can get stuff done. Sometimes things are out of my control and that’s okay, I accept that. I can’t do everything, I can’t change everything, and I get to just… be as imperfectly as I am because there is no rule to follow that demands the impossible out of me. I get to just exist as I am, with no shame and no guilt for not being able to perfect. No one should get to ask that of me, myself included. Today I’m trying to let go of that, and just show up as I am.
