Okay, so if I were creative or funny or could draw, I would love to ship two totally random characters. Like two extras you see in the background for just a few seconds.

And I would start a comic about them. How they first meet, fall in love over time. And all the important bits would be where the ineffable husbands had a fight or break up. Like they have their first kiss/saying "I love you" at the bandstand.

They would talk about going to travel together and in the background Crowley is asking Aziraphale to go to Alpha Centauri.

They move in together and in the background is the Bentley with the plants and Crowley sleeping in it. They decide to get married after some years together while you can see the aftermath of the ineffable divorce in the background.

I would really love to do that. Sadly I'm neither creative nor funny and I can not draw.

A long post about the way we express our feelings

When we express our feelings we often use physicality metaphors like when we’re having a terrible day we say things like “I’m slowly dying” when in reality (generally) we just feel internally distressed and overall exhausted. Everyone knows (generally) that when we say things like that we are not in literal danger of death but we are expressing that we not doing well. When we express desire we say we “need” whatever or whoever has captured our attention but know that this is a feeling, not an actual signal of need. You will recover. But our feelings are telling us that while the exact object our attention may not be what we need there IS a need. We normally find a substitute our resolve the issue somehow but that feel was a signal.

So! When we exaggerate our language to express how we feel there is truth in that expression. And that expression says a whole fucking lot about how we think. When someone is angry and says they want to beat the shit out of someone it’s easy to surmise that inwardly they are violent and there is a chance that they don’t know how to (or weren’t raised learning how to) control their emotions.

When we say that men are predators we obviously don’t mean that all men are predatory or that men literally chance women and children like lions after antelope. But we do mean that there are men that stalk women and use children for their own pleasure, destroying their lives. We do mean that we fear all men to some degree because we can almost never tell which man is the one that does this. When we say that someone “lost their virginity” it implies that sex wasn’t entirely consensual and pleasant even though it generally is. Because if we had faith that sex was always a good time for everyone we would use plural language that implied general enjoyment and agreement. We probably wouldn’t believe in virginity in the first place but an example would be “gave their virginity” because words like like “take” imply force. Words like smash, bang, fucked all imply destruction and are generally used to indicate it was a one person doing rather than two or more people participating. Sex, in our culture, is spoken of like it’s a violent act in which one person comes out supreme. Bisexual people are spoken of like they’re dangerous to those they are attracted to and who they have sex with. Because in the ‘80s and earlier they were framed that way. Like they were perverse, like they destroyed the lives of those they slept with, like they were constantly sleeping around, spreading STDs and lying. Especially bisexual men. So when people say bisexual people are losing when they aren’t having sex, it means that the way we think about the sex bisexual people have is violent and that they aren’t being bisexual the way we think they should. Even while knowing in the conscious in others ways that sex is not inherently harmful and there is no specific way to be bisexual.

The way to change this way of subconscious thinking is to change the way we phrase things. Instead of using winning or losing language around sex using together language. Instead of saying someone fucked someone else saying these two people fucked or had sex. Instead of joking that bisexual people are predatory to those they’re attracted to, or anyone is predatory to who they’re attracted to, just say they’re attracted to a certain type of people and find a better joke about something else.
