App Idea
idk what it would be called, but Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikToks all merged into one app so when your friends send you things from one, you don't have to be stuck on the shitty web version that is like "MIMIMI DOWNLOAD MY APP NOW SO YOU CAN WATCH MORE" when all you want is to watch the one video.
Example: me
I use YT shorts as my poison.
At the moment, when I click on a TikTok link from my friend, I get sent to the web version and it tells me I suck and should download the app. It blocks part of the video, which is particularly irritating when the captions are up there, or when something is happening up there.
With the use of this app that doesn't exist, the link (bc I don't have tiktok) would direct me either to the App I downloaded for this reason, or the Web Version of the App that makes it good and doesn't block anything. This website/app functions almost exactly how it would if you had the app (you can like. you can comment and you get a little badge that says you commented from App), except for one major thing: You can't scroll.
It serves as a purpose to not doom scroll, and also allows you to easily access TikToks, Shorts, or Reels that you may have found difficult to access before.
I'm a genius. if this exists already someone tell me. if this doesn't exist and someone wants to make this. you can credit me if you desire. take the idea and respond to this post. I need this I just wanted to attempt to watch a meme compilation from reels and it didn't fuckin let me and I'm sad

just wanted to add some thoughts to the memory vial/brain dead au (or whatever we're calling it)
because of course ford's guilt about using the memory gun on stan is so much worse than it is in canon, not just for the obvious reasons but also because like
this wasn't the plan
Stan agreed to have his memories erased—of course he did, the whole thing was his idea. But he didn't know he was going to die. Granted, I feel like Stan probably still would've been willing to make that sacrifice if he had known that. But I don't think Ford would've.
Ford just thought he was turning his brother into an amnesiac, and even then he almost couldn't bring himself to pull the trigger. And of course he knew it was going to hurt, having Stan look at him like he's a stranger, but at least that's the outcome he was preparing himself for.
He was not prepared to see Stan's body topple over on its side, his unblinking eyes staring blankly ahead. Ford rushes to his brother's aid, grabbing him by the shoulders, trying to rouse him, calling his name (except, he wouldn't know his own name anymore, would he?). Stan's not moving. He's not breathing. Oh God, he's not breathing. Ford glances at the memory gun on the ground next to them, and horror washes over him as he realizes what he's done. The gun erased more than just memories, it erased everything. Stan's brain was a floppy drive and Ford was the magnet, wiping it clean and leaving it broken beyond repair.
No, no, this wasn't the plan. Time to call off the con. This wasn't supposed to happen. Stop, cut, abort mission, abort mission!
But it's too late. What's done is done, and he can't take it back.
Oh God, I killed him.
Sobbing now, Ford mutters choked-out apologies, first to Stan's body as he holds him tight—and again at his grave after he's buried. And the apologies start up anew every time he visits.
As the years go on, Ford is haunted by all the what-ifs that might've saved his brother's life. What if he had thought to type "Stanley Pines memories" into the memory gun instead of just "Stanley Pines", would it have kept his essential brain functions intact? Hell, what if he typed in "Bill Cipher"? Would that have been enough to kill the bastard and still let Stanley keep most of his memories and, more importantly, his life?
Ford doesn't know the answer to that question. And he'll never know. Because as much as he longs for it, he'll never have that chance to go back and do it differently.

Typing a prompt into a box and letting an AI program generate an image for you does not make you an artist.
Typing a prompt into a box and letting an AI program generate a story for you does not make you a writer.
Typing a prompt into a box and letting an AI program generate a song for you does not make you a musician.
If the AI is doing 99% of the work for you, then you're not an artist.

It was meant to be a nice day, visit the current location of the circus, meet up with some acquaintances, play with the puppies of the acrobatic dogs act.
Just don't think about the bat stuff for a while. Dick had let the tension slip out of his shoulders.
Rookie mistake.
Now here he is, fighting with a weird new primarily black with some white Amazo like robot who for some reason targets ghosts?
Dick was just having a nice little talk with his old friend Boston when this thing came out of nowhere.
And seriously, it's really hard to protect someone you can't see but the enemy very obviously can. Thankfully the thing seems to be programed to target ghosts and only ghosts. And it seems very averse to Dick's escrima sticks.
Dick has already contacted Barbara and she's trying to figure out what the acronym G.I.W. that's stamped on the robot stands for.
Trying to reason with it by, for example mentioning that Deadman is with the league, simply leads to the thing rattling off a bunch of anti ghost laws. Why are there anti ghost laws?!
Backup should arrive soon though, it turns out that Tim has already stolen a batjet earlier that day and is now on his way after checking an old young justice member.
Over the comms they talk,
"Nightwing, I think you and I have the same target"
"Yes I would hope so!?"
"No, I mean, I think that robot attacked my old teammate first, but she's not a ghost anymore so it left again without doing much"
"... who is out here with a grudge against already dead people? I thought this was just targeted against Deadman!"
Oracle pops up, "sorry to disappoint boys, it's a whole thing apparently, an offshoot of the global occult coalition"
Twin groans are heard over the line with one being cut off as Nightwing has to dodge a piece of circus tent getting thrown in his general direction.
Though the relaxing day off is ruined there is a part in Dick that's a little excited to shut this thing down and take it apart back in the cave, this is shaping up to be a somewhat fun mystery for once.

"Here," Danny slides his business card over, and Victor fries takes it.
"Contact my parents, go to Amity Park. They can explain and answer every question you have, Mr. Fries."
Victor, still in his suit and staring, frowns. "What about Nora?"
"I can promise you, she will be alright. I'll give you daily news of her condition and make sure everything is on top condition."
Mr. Fries hesitates, glancing at his frozen wife. He contemplates it, the decision and its cost if he were to trust.
"Nora can't handle transportation in these conditions, but with me here, she will get enough ectoplasm exposure that will make her liminal." Danny explains carefully, eyes crinkling as he looks at the man.
"She will turn into a ghost and come back. Anger may be stronger than love, but love is one of the main emotions one will form in the Infinity Realms."
Victor exhales shakily, breath tinted white from the cold.
"The same will happen to me if I depart to amity park?"
"Yes." The halfa nods. "You will be exposed to ectoplasm like every other civilian there, but unlike here with Nora, my parents will make sure you understand every little thing about this process."
"And if she does come back as a ghost... how long...?"
Danny bites his lip. "I'm not sure. Once her ghost forms, she will be under my protection, many know to not go against me. She will learn of her new culture and then of the traditions."
He explains slowly, making sure Mr. Fries is concentrated and on line with every word he tells.
"Her memories will slowly trickle in, but she will remember and most likely go and find you."
Victor, the ever careful man he is, tilts his head. "How will she come back?"
"My parents again, they have a portal. She will be led to it by associates and friends safely. You will meet her at Amity Park, that's why I suggested moving in the first place. She won't be strong enough to leave amity at first."
"Why me? Why us? This program is not public, and you can not possibly be joking either."
"Valid," Danny shrugs at his gaze. "Call it fondess or maybe attachment, but Nora really grew on me despite... not being very expressive."

(They talked for so so long, until Victor Fries aka Mr. Freeze finally agreed and left.
Danny gave them the privacy needed for their temporary goodbye, he would help them, he'd promised so.
And Phantom doesn't break promises.
So he helps Mr. Fries escape Gotham, made sure he arrived at the meeting place with Jazz, and gave updates on Nora in her cryochamber.
He would buy flowers for her, talk, throw jokes, despite no answer.
Aunt Nora's life would flicker at a time, and sooner than later, Danny knew her time was up.
He left when Victor came back, got her out of her sleep, and held her for her last moments. He was here when Victor departed again, ready to prepare his new apartment at Amity for Nora's arrival.
He felt unbridled happiness when the news came back months later that Nora managed to get back. She became a winter spirit like he is, more alive than she was in the last live.
Danny was happy for the Fries family.)

Barbara Gordon's Cram School posts free online courses for both coding and computer engineering. Think Crash Course in terms of entertainment, but college lecture in terms of depth. Hundreds of thousands of viewers flock to it— students who missed a class, people looking to add new skills to a resume, even simple hobbyists. It’s a project Barbara’s proud of.
Sometimes, when she wants to relax, she’ll even hop in the comments and spend an afternoon troubleshooting a viewer’s project with them.
User “Fryer-Tuck” has especially interesting ones. Barbara finds herself seeking out his comments, checking in on whatever this crazy kid is making next. An app for collecting GPS pings and assembling them on a map in real-time, an algorithm that connects geographic points to predict something’s movement taking a hundred other variables into account, simplified versions of incredibly complex homemade programs so they can run on incredibly limited CPU’s.
(Barbara wants to buy the kid a PC. It seems he’s got natural talent, but he keeps making reference to a PDA. Talk about 90’s! This guy’s hardware probably predates his birth.)
She chats with him more and more, switching to less public PM threads, and eventually, he opens up. His latest project, though, is not something Barbara has personal experience with.
FT: so if you found, hypothetically, a mysterious glowing substance that affects tech in weird and wacky ways that could totally have potential but might be vaguely sentient/otherworldly…. what would you do and how would you experiment with it. safely, of course. and hypothetically
BG: I’d make sure all my tests were in disposable devices and quarantined programs to keep it from infecting my important stuff. Dare I ask… how weird and wacky is it?
FT: uhhh. theoretically, a person composed of this substance once used it to enter a video game. like physical body, into the computer, onto the screen? moving around and talking and fighting enemies within the game?
FT: its been experimented with before, but not on any tech with a brain. just basic shields and blasters and stuff, its an energy source. also was put in a car once
FT: i wanna see how it affects software, yk? bc i already know it can. mess around and see how far i can push it

Honestly. Kid genius with access to some truly wacky materials and even wackier weapons, she needs to start a file on him before he full sends to either hero or villain.

What if GIW was created by Justice League
to answer the never ending calls for help?
I mean, it would be more believable then JL just ignoring it, right? (Black out, blocked off and isolated Amity park - no complaints, you’re doing great sweetie)
Maybe they’re different than what is seen in the show, but what if? They’d definitely hide their actual goals, and try to set the narrative, benefiting them. Maybe while they were formed, the government somehow affected the recruitment and its legal purpose (idk how to word it any other way, bear with me here), so GIW doesn’t turn out how JL expected?
Like, the main thing is the League knows about the problem and thinks it’s being handled, completely blinded by the GIW doing everything to JL from paying more than a glance towards Amity park. Possibly even gently swayed by the GIW , who’re being careful to give just enough info to make JL to draw their own conclusions, but not too much to alert the League of their less then moral goals and methods

Lan Wangji hears that Wei Ying is missing and it takes everything in him not to abandon his people and his family to go searching for her.
Xichen glances at him, concern shining plain on his face as the scout gives the rest of his report, but he does his best not to let any of his longing show on his face. He knows that his brother doesn't understand or approve of his relationship with Wei Ying but that doesn't mean he's ignorant of it.
After, when they're alone, he says, "Wangji, you can't-"
"I know," he says. Cloud Recesses burned and there's a war to be fought and he is the Second Jade of Lan - he has a duty to his clan that he does not have to Wei Ying, no matter how he feels for her. "Jiang Cheng will find her."
She's his fiance and his best friend and his other half in almost every way. He won't abandon her.
And if he takes too long, Lan Wangji can use that time to construct an acceptable reason to slip away and join him.
In the end, he barely has any time to worry before news of Wei Ying at the Jiang camp makes it through the grapevine.
Of course, it's accompanied by the ridiculous rumor that she and Jiang Cheng are going to attempt to sneak back into Lotus Pier to retrieve Sect Leader Jiang and Madame Yu. He doesn't believe a word of it until he finds out who else is currently residing at Lotus Pier.

Yk I don't think ai art will ever really substitute real art. Like I don't think a future like that is possible, and if I'm wrong, we'd be living in the saddest, most depressing version of reality.
The thing about ai is that it will never be able to tell you a story in the way that an artist who actually drew the image will. Even my old drawings I did at age 13 with the wonky poses and huge anime eyes could tell you more of a story than ai ever could, even if it was just a very human story about a kid who liked soulcalibur iv and wanted to draw her ocs. If I'd only been messing with ai back then instead of picking up a pencil, imagine how sad it would be to look back and realize the art said absolutely nothing about me or my personality or intentions or where I was at in my life and with my skills.
It might look pretty. Maybe. But that's it. The result is shallow. You can't read into it, you can't think about the person behind it, because it says nothing about them. It's honestly the saddest thing. I hate to think about a future where people only want to produce ai art because it just sounds so empty. You can see none of yourself and your tastes and your history in an ai produced image. I think that's what people mean when they say ai art is souless and has no human behind it, because even if a human used the ai tool to generate it, there's none of themselves in it.
Real art feels more like an inescapable mirror. An amalgamation of the things you love poured into every line and brushstroke. A frankenstein of everything in the visual world that has ever inspired or fascinated you, built up over a lifetime of learning and repetition. And the more you learn and the better you get the more it grows and the more of yourself you can see in it, the more it looks back and screams at you the story of who you are. If your art doesn't feel like a living thing your hands have birthed then what's even the point?
#I still have a lot of my old sketchbooks(I was just looking through them ajkdshksd)#where I scribbled over the years. when I was 13. 14. 15 16 17#it's such a unique feeling to look back over your old highschool sketches and just. understand#yk?#real art creates a beautiful and unique connection with yourself#there's a relationship behind it#but if a machine produces most of the work for you.......#there's just so much you miss out on#I think the most valuable thing abt art isn't even how good it looks to others or even to you#but the relationship you form with it#and I just think humans need that#there's a reason why something like 'art therapy' exists#even when creating art is frustrating or when it doesn't turn out how you imagined it#the process of creating it forms a relationship and understanding of the world and of yourself#that you wouldn't get if you took the easy path of typing a prompt and hitting a button a couple of times#sleep.txt#anti ai#anti ai art#and that's not even to mention how much we miss out on when analyzing art#bc analyzing art made by a human can give you so much understanding about a person and the world around them#while analyzing ai will only give you more understanding of the machine. the program that produced it. not of the person#which is also really sad and cold

okay but like here's the thing with chatgpt. outside of the negative environmental impact chatGPT and similar programs have, there is also a high chance that whatever you have it do for you is wrong. sometimes it is something small and inconsequential, but it can also be dangerously wrong. because what it does is it's looking on the internet for a source, and it will give you whatever source it finds (seemingly at random? i'm not 100% sure how chatGPT works but it seems very much like it's just picking something and spitting it out). i'm not even that old and i'm still an average college age but i remember commercials and ads telling people to not trust things you see on the internet because you don't know what is or isn't true. you might come across something that seems entirely legit, but is complete and total bullshit. that is something to keep in mind when using chatGPT that i think people don't consider. it may be wrong. it very likely is wrong. you won't be certain that it's wrong unless you ask it for its sources and examine them yourself which at that point you may as well just be doing your own research without AI anyways.
#anti genAI#me and my family joke around about things on the internet being “totally 100% reliable” <- sarcasm#but like. i can make anything up and post it on tumblr and there will be at least one person who doesn't think to look it up but doesn't#know any better so they take me at my word. then chatGPT can stumble across it and use it as a source when someone prompts it#for a related question. this might very well be misinformation because im not a genAI dev. i don't know how it's programmed.#but i've seen some of the sources that google gemini uses and that's. essentially what it does#is it grabs a source and gives it to you as essentially the top result#old google used to do something similar except it WAS with the top result. which was usually a wikipedia article.#idk about other institutions but my uni considers generative AI use for assignments plagiarism when you're using it to do the assignment fo#you. which means you could get expelled if you keep using it.#personally i don't want to take the chances plus i know my reading comprehension isn't up to par#(autistic burnout will do that to you)#so i need to exercise it otherwise it could just end up getting worse#plus i like writing essays and reports and stuff. it's. well enjoyable isn't the right word but its stimulating for me

DC x DP Prompt *15*
When Batman is out in his cowl he is able to record anything so that he can few it later. The faces he sees will run through a program for face recognition. This makes it easier to recognize faces of potential villains civilian identities. Because of that, the camera system of Wayne Enterprises is also linked to the program. The problem is, the same things applies to his league colleagues.
Of course he already knows the identity of most of them, but that is because they told him or he found out on pure accident.
But because of this he takes his colleagues faces out of the program. As long as they don't go rouge he sees no reason to infringe on this part of their life.
Well at least that is what he normally does, but he didn't bother with Phantom. Not only are there few cameras that can even catch him. He is also a dead, fourteen years old boy.
So really, it isn't Bruce fault. If he had known that Danny Phantom had a civilian identity, he would have gone through the trouble of blocking his face in the program.
But now a young man in his early twentieth sat before him, with a nervous smile on his face. And he is making puns. Daniel Fenton (and God they needed to talk about a better hero name, now that he knew the boy had a very similar civilian name) was the negative of Phantom. Black hair, blue eyes, older and alive.
But he could scold him later, after the job interview was over and Bruce found a way to explain to Danny that his new boss was also a founder of the Justice League.
That wouldn't be fun...
