• i've noticed when Uranus is aspecting Venus, you're likely going to enter a relationship if you're single because Uranus represents unexpected change. if you're already in a relationship, you're probably going to go through a breakup or your relationship dynamic is going to change.

• the year i blocked everyone with 0 remorse, i had Saturn 3H. only talked to 2 close friends & my family members. i didn't speak less verbally but i developed more communication barriers for everyone through phone. i hated talking through phone (still do)

• the year i had Mercury sextile Jupiter, i was rude to everyone who deserved it & quick with my insults. basically an anti-hero. i also did it for fun mostly (Mercury 5H) to anyone who was being mean/fake.

Mogtober 2023 Day #18

Prompt: Jupiter North

(Quick summary: To all appearances, Jupiter has a lot of confidence, but he tends to feel differently when he looks at himself with his Witness ability, until one day Frank inspires a deep lesson.)

Jupiter North hated the mirror.

Well, that wasn't *exactly* accurate.

It was more of a love-hate relationship, but on many days, the hate was very predominant.

Such was the case on one particular day when he found himself lost in thought, wandering down a hall in the Deucalion toward his office. Halfway there, he happened to catch sight of himself in a hallway mirror.

What he saw made him stop.

His general appearance was about enough to make anybody stop on any given day, what with his bright ginger hair, flashy wardrobe choices, and all around handsome features. But for himself as a Witness, there was always so much more.

Jupiter gazed at his reflection with a perceptive eye that saw far more than the average person ever could. With regards to himself, it was a criticizing eye, most of the time. He had learned to tune it out a lot, just like how he filtered what he saw anywhere else in the world in order to maintain not only respect for other people's boundaries, but also his own sanity. But sometimes he just couldn't ignore it all.

Today was one of those days.

Standing before the mirror, he cringed as he took note of the sizeable gray cloud that was hovering around him. Stress, discouragement, and worries - that's what that represented. Jupiter was generally a pretty positive person, but lately he'd been carrying a lot of concerns for Morrigan, and how to figure out what was going on with the disappearance of the Hollowpox, and how to keep Squall from getting into his little girl's head. Well, not *his* little girl, technically, but close enough. Enough that the concern Jupiter carried for her expressed itself through the Gossamer in a bigger, denser gray cloud than Jupiter typically saw with average levels of stress.

In addition to the gray cloud, there was also that flickering light around his head, blinking in and out, suggesting an unsolved mystery, questions with answers just out of reach. Jupiter had an inquisitive mind and always seemed to be on the trail of some mystery or another. So this wasn't an unfamiliar sight, but it was a constant reminder of multiple pressing concerns. Sometimes he couldn't tell if he was chasing the questions or if they were chasing him.

Beneath the obvious, glaring layers of stress and discouragement, Jupiter could see some of his own older battles. Over his heart was one particular scar, old, but still bleeding a bit. That was from the death of his sister and the way he still carried some guilt for feeling like he should have been able to prevent it somehow. Very close to it was another old wound, mostly healed by now, that represented how he hurt for Jack without parents in the world to guide and support him. It was connected to a vague shape like weights on his chest. That was the responsibility he felt for giving Jack a better world now.

Jupiter sighed deeply as his eyes followed the innumerable strings of multiple colors and textures that tied his person and his heart to one thing or another, mostly life events and happenings, a few to people. In them he could read just about every moment of his history. All the joys and happiness, yes, but also all the pain, the losses, the sad times. Even more than that, he could see all his personal flaws and shortcomings and guilt for every instance he felt he had not been or done enough. These dark, dreary smudges tended to overpower the marks of good things, laughing at him, mocking him.

"You're not enough, you're not enough, you're not enough," they chanted. They repeated over and over until they filled his head with their echoes, like the complex layers of some polyphonic music. He could almost feel the ambiguous shadows that leered over his shoulders.

Along with this was a dread as black as the blackest night, surrounding his heart like the cold waves of a threatening ocean. Sometimes their tide was low, sometimes it was high, but it always existed in some measure. Jupiter knew he was seeing the fear of failing Mog. It was the dread of making one wrong move and letting her be torn away by Squall or overcome by the voices of her past that said she was cursed - or worst of all, of himself somehow accidentally letting her down and losing her trust. Jupiter shuddered at the slightest notion of it.

Here and there and everywhere, he was marked with scars and shadows and shatters of various shapes and size. How could he ignore them? Why did he ever look in the mirror anyway, when these constant reminders of who he was always glared at him from his reflection?

"Admiring yourself, Jove?" a voice came from behind him.

"Hm?"

Jupiter was suddenly pulled out of his deep thoughts. He hadn't noticed Frank approaching him.

"Oh, no, never," Jupiter answered, mustering up the smirk and playful, half sarcastic tone that almost always threw others off the trail of his true thoughts in these cases. "Why would I do that?"

"Oh, only because of the half million wonderful things that make you Captain Jupiter North," Frank shrugged. "Ask anyone. What's not to admire?"

The vampire dwarf gave Jupiter's arm a friendly bump and meandered on his blissfully ignorant way, but his words turned Jupiter back to the mirror again.

"What's not to admire?" he'd said. "Half a million wonderful things."

Jupiter squinted at himself. He was so used to seeing his flaws and his burdens, so used to both examining them and yet also ignoring them, that he rarely took much note of his positive traits. But now that he thought about it, what was there?

Determination - there was that - like the constant beating of a heart that just wouldn't give up. Values that had an appearance similar to beautiful plants with roots that buried themselves in the deepest part of his core. Intelligence and an inquisitive nature that looked sort of like the flashing lights of unanswered questions, but were more of a constant glow around his head, almost halo-like. Similarly, the radiance of a positive and caring nature shone in the center of his chest near the sternum, much like the constant candle of kindness Dame Chanda carried within herself. And a consistent life purpose, made greater than ever by the new addition of his investment in Morrigan.

Right then, something shifted, not so much in Jupiter's actual sight as his perspective, and suddenly he saw a person alive and aglow with a beauty and value that went much deeper than gorgeous hair or fine clothes.

Why did he not remember ever seeing himself like this? It had all been there. He'd even seen it before - only he hadn't *seen* it. Even as a person who was generally self aware and had a measure of value for his own positive traits, he'd somehow always felt that it was just strange to look at his own good qualities with that level of scrutiny. Besides, the weight of all his cares and concerns had so long overclouded them that he must've unconsciously trained himself only to see his person as an amalgamation of all his scars and battles and shortcomings.

He was all of that, yes, but he was so many good things, too. So many smiles and happy moments like warm little nooks in his heart to sustain him through the winters of his lapses into harsh self judgement. Brightly colored strings tying him to wonderful experiences, beautiful places, and the best of people.

And running through all of it was a massive tide of love, surging and pulsing and coursing through positively everything. There was love for Jack, love for his Wunsoc unit, love for even the family and friends who were long gone like his sister. There was love for Fen and Frank and Dame Chanda and the whole Deucalion family. There was love, newer and perhaps greater than any of the others, for Mog, sparkling with the bright hue of newfound purpose.

The river of love was so great it was impossible to tell where it began or ended, and it flowed out into so many different branches in multiple directions. But it didn't just give; the love of other people was constantly splashing into the tide that sourced from his own heart, too.

Jupiter could hardly tear his eyes away from the mirror now. This change of perspective was so overwhelming. It wasn't until he heard footsteps behind him that he looked away from the sight.

Turning to see who was approaching, Jupiter was met with the familiar black eye-patched face of his nephew.

Jack started to open his mouth as if to start a conversation, but seemed to catch something, and closed it immediately. Jupiter didn't need his Witness ability to watch Jack take in the sight of his uncle in such deep thoughts in front of the mirror and make the connection of what was going on. No words were spoken, but they made brief eye contact and something unspoken passed between them. Jack's eyes reflected a sense of recognition, and he gave a simple, understanding nod before continuing on his way again. But that confirmed to Jupiter what he'd really always known. Jack knew. He got it. He did this, too.

"Jack," Jupiter called the boy back. "There's something important I need to tell you."

He put his hands on Jack's shoulders and turned him to face the mirror.

"I want you to remember, whenever you look at yourself in the mirror - with or without your eye patch, but especially without - to always try to see yourself as a whole. It will save you a lot of trouble."

Jack nodded, silent for a moment, until Jupiter released his shoulders, then said, "Thanks. I'll try to remember that."

"Well," Jupiter said at last, reaching out to make a quick adjustment to Jacks collar. "I've got things to do now. But remember, Jack: the mirror is not your enemy."

Broken Ribs and Whole Hearts

Description: A Deku x Reader where the reader is a nurse who finds an unexpected guest in her emergency room. A continuation of this post.

Warnings: Descriptions of injury/some light gore. Talk of painkillers administered by a medical professional. Fluff.

It was safe to say that when you woke up this morning you weren’t expecting to find the life of the number one hero in your hands.

It wasn’t that you hadn’t worked with heroes before. You had plenty of experience with them, since they had a way of getting themselves hurt. That being said, you’d never worked with this particular hero before, and you were a little bit starstruck.

You wouldn’t call yourself a fan of Deku, but you weren’t not a fan. You saw him on the news all the time, but that was virtually impossible to avoid since he seemed to find his way onto every crime scene. If there was someone who needed help, Deku was there.

Right now though, he was here, bleeding out.

You had heard about the fight from your coworkers. It was hard to avoid hearing about a battle on that scale when you worked in a hospital. You had already been getting civilians in for treatment, but the heroes came last and were, naturally, priority since their injuries tended to be far more severe. Deku was no exception to this rule, and when he was rushed through the doors you were quick to fill your empty hands, not even realizing who he was until you went to assess the patient.

You jolted back a little bit in surprise, seeing the shock of green hair and bleary green eyes peering up at you. In your moment of surprise leaning over him, he cracked a blood-smeared smile.

“Are you an angel?” He asked softly.

“He’s delirious from the blood loss,” you declared, quickly getting to work surveying the rest of the damage. “Several cracked ribs, and I think he may have punctured a lung.”

As you continued to rattle off instructions and commentary, Deku continued staring at you. You, unwittingly, had become his lifeline. He kept his eyes open out of sheer desire not to look away from you. You were so capable, not faltering once after your initial shock. He was in awe of you.

Eventually, Deku was rushed into the operating room, and then he had no choice but to go under. When he woke up though, lo and behold, it was you there, checking his vitals and adjusting some things.

He opened his dry mouth, preparing his cracked voice to speak. “Well if it isn’t the prettiest nurse in all of Musutafu.” 

You jump slightly, not having expected him to wake up. You fidget with your hands, a nervous habit.

“Oh, hello Deku. You’re awake. How are you feeling?”

“I’ve been worse.” Deku would have shrugged, but he knew from experience that would make things worse.

He turned his eyes to the rest of the hospital room, taking a look around. He was in a standard hospital gown, which he joked was his “back-up uniform”. An IV fed drugs into his arm as necessary, and he knew he must be on some pretty good pain killers if the slightly hazy feeling in his head and the warm confidence in his chest were any indication. 

“So, any chance you’ll go out on a date with me?” he asked.

You stiffen in surprise, but then grin teasingly at him. “Wow, the morphine is talking pretty loud today, huh? Who knew the number one hero was such a light-weight? Maybe I should lower your dosage.”

Deku winced. “Please don’t. I have a high pain tolerance, but not that high.”

Your beautiful smile turned to a look of concern.

“Are you in any pain right now?”

Deku quickly shook his head, which actually did cause him some pain from the force of the movement. 

“I’m fine. Just keep doing what you’re doing. It’s working great.” He smiled encouragingly at you.

You visibly relaxed from where you stood by his bedside.

“Okay, well just let me know if you need anything, okay? I’m sure you know the drill, but you can just press this button right here for help.” You showed him where it was.

“Any chance I can get your number before you go?” He asked hopefully, unwittingly throwing you into cardiac arrest.

“I will take away your painkillers, Mr. Midoriya,” you threatened over your shoulder as you walked out.

Little did either of you know it, but Izuku was going to be spending a lot more time with you. His tendency to get injured on your shifts almost made you believe he was doing it on purpose. You asked him once when he was drugged up, but he would admit to nothing, only giving you a slightly loopy smile before falling asleep.

Once he was settled into his hospital rooms though, he made no secret of it. He would blatantly request you, or rather, “the prettiest nurse in Musutafu.”

“You know I have a name right?” you asked, looking at his chart like you didn’t have it basically memorized.

“Yes, I just happen to think this more fitting. I can stop if it bothers you though.” 

Suddenly your confident hero had turned into a Christmas tree, whole face from the neck up turning red as a cherry. Feeling a desperate need to sooth him, you hurriedly corrected yourself.

“No, this is fine! I mean, I can’t really complain, can I?”

“Pretty sure you just did,” he teased.

You two continued on in this way until you would nearly consider yourself friends with the hero. In fact, you had started a routine of eating lunch with each other after an incident where you had both been in the hospital cafeteria at the same time and had sat together. Since then you had repeated the encounter a few times, though never exactly on purpose. You had even gone to dinner with him once, just as friends, to some fancy new restaurant he claimed to need a date to, since eating alone was ‘boring’. You had grown into a comfortable rhythm with him over time, and then it happened.

It was the first rain of the season, and you had your window open to let in the smell. You were peacefully making some soup in your kitchen on your night off. Your gray sweats clung to your hips, comfy t-shirt wrapping you up under the warm lighting of your cozy kitchen. The cheerful paint of the walls beamed at you as you swayed softly, humming along to the song on the radio.

All of your peace was shattered the moment Deku fell through your window, hand clutching his side, at the exact same moment your tea kettle screamed at you. You quickly moved it off the heat, nearly sloshing water onto your usually steady hands before rushing across the room to your fallen hero.

“Izuku!” you gasped, turning him over on the floor.

He smiled up at you, not looking nearly as concerned as he should be.

“Hi.”

“Why are you here? You should be in a hospital.”

“I just wanted to see you.” He reached up to cup your cheek in his warm, broken hand.

“You can’t be here Izuku. You’re hurt.”

“You’re my nurse. You’ll take care of me.”

He smiled at you with so much faith it cracked something in your chest. An overflowing font of affection for this man, this hero, welled up in you, begging to be let out. You thought of every time you had seen him broken, the implicit trust he had in you to piece him back together. To take care of him. 

You swallowed down your tears, mirroring the smile on his face, trying to be as brave as he was. “You have a stab wound in your side. It doesn’t look too deep, but you still need serious medical attention.”

“It’s just a scratch.”

He was staring at you, those deep green eyes brushing up against your soul, flirting with your deepest secrets, dancing around the unspoken truths weighing down your tongue, things you both knew. Things neither of you could say, as far as you were concerned, but Izuku Midoriya had always had an open heart and a loose tongue, and so he said them slow and easy, honey slipping through his teeth and coating his cracked lips.

“Kiss me.” 

“That...that wouldn’t be very ethical of me.” Despite your words you are leaning in, nose brushing his.

It is not a demand, not a question, not a request. It is a gasping, haunting, wavering plea, he is begging and you are teetering on the edge of a cliff you wouldn’t admit existed until you were borderline tumbling off of it.

"Can I...?"

This time it is a question, and you find yourself drawn into him. He is the Jupiter to your Io, and you are lost to a constellation, entwined in your own milky way. Your shadow blends into his, pressed flat against the grain of your wood floors, as your lips whisper against his. It is barely a touch, just a taste of what is to come, but it is all the permission he needs.

He surges forward to kiss you, and it is something foreign, something incomprehensible as he catches you with his chapped lips. He tastes of bitter, salty blood as the rush of his breath fills you, slipping down your throat and curling through your lungs. You have never done this before, never felt whatever is warping the planes of your chest and the contours of your heart. It is as though you have met yourself in him.

It is a ravaging sort of feeling, even though the kiss itself is achingly soft, heartbreakingly slow. He is so gentle with you, as though you are the breakable one here, when in fact you have had to put him back together too many times to count. You allow it though, you allow it because you have seen firsthand how Izuku Midoriya’s large, scarred hero hands touch everything with this sort of gentle kindness, a piece of his heart slipping through the spaces between his knuckles and digging into the pads of his fingertips. 

When you pull away it is slowly, reluctantly, a smile taking over your face. Izuku's smile matches yours, his eyes sparkling as he reaches up to brush a thumb across your lip, a light laugh escaping him. It is this action that brings you back to yourself, snaps you out of your haze as his thumb streaks blood across the swell of your mouth. Your body jerks back away from him suddenly, and worry flickers over his face.

"Izuku Midoriya! How dare you distract me like that! Did you think I wouldn't take you to the hospital if you kissed me?"

He has the nerve to look a little guilty.

"I don't need to go, really. It will just inconvenience them."

You grind your teeth. "We. Are. Going."

And over time, Izuku learns that eventually, all roads lead to the hospital. Because all roads lead to you.

Leo’s feet patter silently through the darkness, his eyes set upon the door at the far end of the hall. Despite the warm air outside, a chill still rustles against his sleeves; he has to hold an arm across his torso to keep out the cold. In the other hand, a cup of hot chocolate steams in the dark hallway.

When he sees the beam of gold light underneath the door, Leo sighs. He told Jason to sleep earlier tonight, but what else did he expect? He wouldn’t have made this hot chocolate if he didn’t know Jason was going to be up anyway.

Leo toes the door open. It creaks silently as it swings inward, and a wave of gentle gold light washes over him. Soft music plays in the background - some alternative pop song that he can’t name - and LED lights glimmer by the window.

Jason dozes by the desk, his blond head ducked into his arm to keep the light out. A purple sweatshirt hangs loosely off his limbs and dark sweatpants spill over his legs. The demigod’s pale feet press gently against the tiled floor.

Leo’s heart sinks at the sight of his boyfriend. Jason has barely been getting sleep recently; he’s been too busy preparing for college, along with designing the temples for Camp Jupiter. Typically it’s him telling Leo to sleep, but these days Mr. Pontifex has been taking the weight of exhaustion on himself.

Leo rolls his eyes as he steps over, grumbling, “Ever the dutiful hero.” The mug in his hand clinks as he sets it down at the corner of the desk. Running a soft hand against Jason’s blond hair, he whispers, “Wake up, Sparky.”

To his surprise, Jason rises right away. A pair of glasses balance precariously against his blue eyes and he reaches to fix them. A confused expression balances across the demigod’s face.

“Leo?” he murmurs. “Why are you up?”

Leo rolls his eyes again and covers Jason’s head with his hoodie, which pulls out a surprised, playful laugh from the latter’s chest. “I’m up because you’re up,” he responds, irritation overwhelming his voice. “Didn’t I tell you to sleep tonight?”

An exasperated sigh slips through Jason’s lips and he leans back from his work, stretching his arm behind him. “I’m almost done,” he promises. “I thought I could finish it tonight.”

“Well, you’re not getting anything done tonight if you’re already falling asleep.” Leo leans back against the table and crosses his arms across his chest. A pointed look strikes his features.

Jason shakes his head. “I wasn’t sleeping. I was just closing my eyes. They’re kinda burning.”

Leo barks a laugh. “Then that just proves my point. You need sleep. I’m sure even a Pontifex deserves a break every once in a while.” A pout pulls at his lips and he brushes his fingers against Jason’s face, tilting his pale face up. A small smile quirks at the corner of the blond’s lips. “Besides,” murmurs Leo, “we just finished high school. Don’t you think you deserve to just celebrate this momentous occasion before we go off to college?”

Jason gazes up at the curly-haired boy, a sparkle coming over his pale eyes. Even after so many years of knowing him, Leo’s heart still manages to skip a beat every time he looks at him like that. As warmth blooms under his cheeks, he smiles softly in adoration.

Then Jason offers a quiet laugh. The sound of it soothes Leo from the inside out, and his chest billows with an overwhelming admiration for the gorgeous blond before him.

My boyfriend, he thinks elatedly. After so many years, that laugh is for me.

In a moment of sudden bravery, Leo throws a leg over Jason’s body. He pulls himself over his lap, and at the sudden contact, the blond flinches. A spark of hesitation bursts between the boys; tension billows in the gap between them. Then, hesitantly, eagerly, Jason pulls his hands around Leo’s waist and presses his face against the crook of the demigod’s neck.

After a nervous moment, Jason admits his defeat; he spills his burdens into his boyfriend and pulls Leo’s body closer, so close that there’s no telling where one person begins and the other ends. His waist tingles where Leo’s thighs touch him; his chest hums where Leo’s heart presses against his. Taking advantage of this rare vulnerability, the curly-haired demigod drapes his arms around Jason’s shoulders and presses the tip of his nose against the soft, mussed hair. A citrusy scent overwhelms Leo’s senses and he closes his eyes, submerging himself into Jason’s warm, loving embrace.

A wave of intimate silence washes over them. Jason’s hands glide over Leo’s back gently, and in response, Leo takes his own fingers through the blond’s soft hair. Soft music floats around them, but Leo barely hears it over the loud drumming of his heart.

Jason’s nose twitches against his boyfriend’s neck. When he speaks, his lips gently tickle Leo’s skin and he has to bite his bottom lip to suppress his laughter.

“I’m tired,” sighs Jason, “but the deadline to the temples is almost here.”

“Oh, please,” Leo groans. “You already have most of it done now. Take the night off. Let’s just lay in bed together and watch a movie or something. I miss not falling asleep with you at the same time.”

A pillowy laugh falls from Jason’s chest, the sound of it like molten gold in Leo’s ears. “I’m almost done,” promises the exhausted demigod. “Just another few days. Then we can spend the summer together.”

Leo sighs, “Alright, fine.” Then he pulls his face away and frowns at Jason. “But you’re done for tonight. You’ve been in here for hours.” To prove his seriousness in the matter, Leo twists around, closes the files and drawings on the dark desk, and pushes them to the side. A strangled sound lurches out of Jason, but Leo simply swats his hand away as he tries to reach for his files.

An irritated frown lingers over the blond’s face for a quick second, but when Leo offers a flirtatious and elated smile, Jason’s discontent melts away and his chest echoes with a hesitant laugh of exasperation. Taking this as a sign of his own victory, Leo chuckles, too, and presses his forehead against Jason’s gently. His soft fingers haunt the blond’s neck and cheeks, and in response, he leans into Leo’s touch.

Here, in the quiet night, music floats around them, but neither boy can make sense of the lyrics. They drown out everything around them; they lose all sense of themselves in the soft silence. It’s only Jason and Leo in the light right now. No upcoming deadlines, no paperwork, no nothing. Just their love.

Gently, hesitantly, Leo trails his fingers against Jason’s jawline. He wants to run his touch against every scar, every inch of skin that he can. Pressing his thumb gently underneath Jason’s chin, Leo tilts his head up. Surprise sparks against the other boy’s pale eyes, but there’s an acceptance there, too, an admittance. A daringness.

In the dim, comforting light, Jason has never looked more beautiful. A lazy sparkle overwhelms his face and a dazed eagerness comes over his pink lips.

In a moment of passion, the two lean in closer. A quiet hunger sparks in the inches between them, but that spark turns into an electric burst of passion as their lips meet.

Quiet. All is quiet around them. They’re swimming in some kind of innocent, syrupy admiration. Leo’s fingers trail the back of Jason’s neck, his touch as gentle as a ghost, and Jason’s hands hold Leo’s waist like he’s his lifeline.

Soft lips. Soft touch. Soft hair. That’s all that Leo feels as he kisses Jason. Soft, soft, soft.

Warmth blooms in his chest, and he smiles against Jason’s lips. But that ruins the moment, because a puff of laughter bubbles from Jason’s lips and he pulls an inch away, amusement glimmering in his eyes.

“Don’t do that,” he whispers. “You’re only going to make me less tired and then I’ll go right back to working.”

Leo rolls his eyes, but an exhilarated smile lines his mouth. “This is kinda homophobic.”

“You’re homophobic.”

“Would a homophobe make out with you and enjoy it?”

“I have that kind of power, don’t I?”

A burst of laughter escapes Leo’s chest and he ruffles Jason’s hair. Then he stumbles off the blond’s warm body, but at the lack of contact, a rush of cold overwhelms his senses. He's tempted to climb back on and touch Jason, but he forces himself to tame that urge.

Instead, to make up for the loss of his boyfriend’s heat, Leo takes Jason’s hand and raises an eyebrow. “You have five minutes to come to bed, or else I’m hogging the blanket.”

“You’re going to do that anyway. I know you like it when I hug you for warmth.”

A smile lingers over Leo’s lips and a mischievous sparkle comes into his eyes. “Maybe I do.” He smiles mockingly. “But tonight I’ll turn to fire all night just so you get really hot. That way you won’t even be able to sleep in the same bed.”

Jason shakes his head. “Such a cruel boyfriend.”

Leo grins. “It’s what I do best.” He pecks at Jason's empty lips. “But I only do it because I love you.”

Smiling softly, Jason whispers, “I love you, too.”

But what about self-care via food? After all, we are eating more than ever during this season! From holiday-themed food to holiday-themed drinks, it seems never-ending!

What about consciously eating to stay warm and benefit from the magickal and practical properties? How could we benefit from that and what are these herbs and teas that are going to help us in this mission?

Sun ☉

Giorno, DIO, Diego Brando, Jonathan

All of them are natural leaders who hate being bossed around. All of them crave power (except, maybe, Jonathan), though for different reasons. Having lots of pride, Diego and Dio take their hatred of humiliation to extreme levels, desiring to rule the whole world in order to be treated like gods, and finally erase their underprivileged pasts. They are also very narcissistic and put themselves above everyone else except their moms.

Jonathan and Giorno represent the holy side of the sun. Giorno shares with his father the same pride and deep hatred of humiliation, though he wants to be the king of his own world so no else will be humiliated like he was. Like the sun that share its light to all beings, Giorno and Jonathan love justice and treat everyone equally, punishing people only according to their wrongdoings and never for sadistic purposes. Both have warm and dignified manners. Jonathan is also the patriarch of the Joestars, a very solar status, given that Sun represents both fathers and authorities.

Giorno is canonically an Aries, so he has an exalted sun.

Moon ☾

Enrico Pucci, Guido Mista

Father Pucci is intelligent, passionate, devoted, attached to his kin, has a nurturing side and treats Dio's children as his own. The moon is a mirror of the sun, and Pucci is the follower of a solar figure, Dio. Also, he has a stand called C-Moon, which evolves from a baby raised by himself. No villain is more lunar than Pucci.

Mista is the faithful peer of another solar figure, Giorno. He also has a very childish stand and never forgets to feed salami to all six of them.

Mercury ☿

Josuke

Josuke is very light-hearted, youthful and witty, and can keep his cool even in the hardest moments. I don't even know his sign, but that's a pretty Gemini thing. Apart from his Peter Pan like personality, he also has a quick mind and great analytical skills.

Mars ♂

Jotaro, Jolyne, Iggy

All three of them give zero fucks to your feelings and are aggressive, athletic and action-driven. Jotaro is also a man of science and as a marine biologist, he's probably very good at math*, which is a lesser known trait of Mars.

Venus ♀

Mariah, Straizo, Shigechi, Yukako

I don't even need to explain Mariah. Straizo is very attached to his physical body and has a total aversion to the idea of becoming old, weak and ugly, which resembles the materialistic and vain side of Venus. His personality is very rajasic but at the same time cool, composed and noble, just like the vedic god of Venus, Shukra.

Shigechi is obsessed with money and Yukako is jealous and love-obsessed. Both can be taken as archetypes of the dark side of Taurus.

Jupiter ♃

Joseph Joestar

No matter how hard you try, you will never be as Sagittarian as Joseph Joestar. Joseph represents Jupiter's intense love of life and quest for thrilling experiences. Jupiter is also a planet of elevated intellect, and even though Joseph is a school dropout, his enthusiasm for literature and history can be seen through his many bookish references, from Sun Tzu to Jules Verne. Furthering your knowledge just for the sake of it and not because someone told you to is a very Jupiterian thing.

Not to mention Joseph's devilish good luck, which just can't not be Jupiter's work.

Saturn ♄

Johnny Joestar

The ultimate saturnine man, who attains wisdom through intense pain and suffering. Johnny is persistent, hardworking and resilient, still he doesn't believe himself, thanks to his cruel father and the death of his elder brother, of which Johnny feels guilty. Shame, guilt, death, a weak body, oppression, a harsh father and the weight of past experiences: all Saturnian themes permeating Johnny's life and making his sensitive soul thougher, until suffering becomes power, resulting in the liberation of mind and body. In short, Johnny's saga can be literally taken as a lesson on how Saturn works. In vedic tradition, Saturn is represented as a handicapped man (in analogy to the planet's slow moves) and is associated with the color blue; that's very easy to relate with Johnny's own physical condition and color aesthetic. Gyro describes Johnny as having "the eyes of a killer", and the vedic god Saturn is known for having a look so fierce no one dares to look at his eyes. Johnny Joestar is the incarnation of Saturn! This is going to be my headcanon from now on.

Rahu ☊

Power, ambition, politics and conspiracies are all under the domain of Rahu, and Valentine is among all JoJo characters the best representative of those themes. A master of deceitfulness with a one-track mind, he collects allies for purposes they can't even imagine, and that can change the fate of the entire world. It doesn't get more Rahu-ish than this.

Ketu ☋

[Lunar South Node]

Diavolo

Ketu is the shadow planet of ghosts, mysteries and everything otherworldly, which fits Diavolo perfectly: given the supernatural circumstances of his birth, we're not even sure he's a human being. Ketu is the planet of detachment, losses and disappearances, acting like a cosmic eraser; Diavolo's power is literally to erase time.

Speaking of losses and detachment, Diavolo has given up on his own identity, living as an anonymous hermit. Like Ketu, he's invisible and can be perceived only through his influence.

He was also raised in a church, which resembles Ketu's connection to the spiritual realms.

Finally, Ketu is the demon who lost its own head. That could be an accurate description of Diavolo.

*Yes, marine biology has lots of mathematics. This single piece of information ruined all my childhood dreams.

[Time had lost all sense of meaning.

He’d “seen” it coming, of course. They weren’t quick about it. It wasn’t the first time they’d shot him, either.

He had just enough time to brace himself for the impact—

—which was enough to knock the wind out of him—

And then…

…nothing seemed to happen.

He wasn’t sure why.

But he became even more confused as looked down in a dazed state, putting a hand to his chest—

And seeing shards of Life.

He looked up and out into the darkness, noticing for the first time how quiet it was.

Silent.

He struggled to catch his breath, but found that impossible. The more he tried, the weaker he felt, and he ended up sinking to his knees before collapsing onto the ground.]

[With his hands firmly against the surface, his head bowed as he struggled to avoid passing out…

Honestly, the last thing he expected was to start falling down.

It was as if gravity had reversed itself and Time had lost all meaning. As he continued to fall, he felt weaker and weaker—and the shards of Life became ribbons flowing off into the distance. Vibrant, with ethereal colors that were beyond description—not like any aura he had ever seen before…

…except… …once.

Felix’s eyes widened in shock as the flicker of memory sparked recognition in his mind… and even more as one of the strands glowed with ominous intensity in time to the recognition.

He’d seen something like this before…

He wasn’t sure he’d ever heard such a dreadful sound as the harrowing tone produced as the shears slowly drew together, coldly severing the yarn of Life. As each thread fell away—starting to unravel—the bonds that had hold on him dissolved into nothing, leaving him untethered.

It burned. As the shears cut through the thread of hope, he was left burning with despair.

His hopes and dreams were burning away. All the things he had been looking forward to doing, all the things he had wanted to experience. They were being taken from him—he had failed.

He hadn’t been enough. He had been convinced that he would be able to turn them back, that they wouldn’t have the mettle to oppose such vibrant determination. And he’d been wrong; he’d underestimated their brutality and overestimated their human decency. They’d overtaken him. He’d been weaker, in the end. And now—now he was losing everything. Even if he managed to continue—dead or alive—it would have to be in a dark, dismal world bereft of joy.

And without a doubt, if Felix knew one thing, it was suffering. His was a life of suffering that just would not end. Just when it seemed that he had finally found peace, something or someone would rob him of serenity. This always happened. Always… without fail… again… and again… and again… and again.

And he knew his fate. The weight of the accursed prophecy burned right through the sense of hope.

For his was a terrible fate, a burden one would not wish on any man.

He had lived through so much pain. His misery would compound just as soon as he was reaching a state of peace. How much worse would it get—for him, for those he loved—if he continued?

What reason did he have to live if there was never to be any joy?

He just wanted for this madness to end. For the sun to rise, to celebrate their deliverance from such a dark, oppressive shadow.

[He’d made a promise. He had things to do. People relied on him.

He had a duty to uphold.]

[Even as he was falling, he grabbed hold of the chain—abruptly coming to SUCH a sudden stop that it felt his heart would be torn from his chest.]

[The weight straining on him immensely as everything else seemed to be dragging him down into darkness.

The chain held strong. The Shears had come to a stop.

It all held still.]

[He had something to live for, a reason to continue; there was a duty he must carry. If life was to be a burden to him, it was still his burden to carry—his responsibility.

And that… that was enough. That was a reason. A reason to endure. He could not lay it down, nor cast it away; it was his obligation to carry on, even if he was doomed to suffer.]

[But a chain is only as strong as the weakest link, and the fire of despair was all-consuming.

He was slipping, slipping from the suffocating weight.

He had failed. He had failed his duty, and now—

What more could he do? What good would it be to anyone, to drag out the consequences? He was a doomed man, and his was a life of sorrow and loss. If he couldn’t help others and only compounded their struggles with his own curse of misfortune…

Honestly, he’d rather die than live a life under tyranny. And he’d said as much. He’d meant it, too.

Those had been his last words, when they’d ordered him to surrender—

“{Death first!}”

And he was a man, only a man; he did not have the power of the spirits, let alone of Creation. As indestructible as he was, he was still a mere mortal, with everything that mattered subject to other things.

And even the strongest devotion and willpower in the world could not turn back Death.

His own demise had been a long time coming. Time and again, he’d slipped from the net and evaded his reckoning.

But he was in this situation now because he had finally been outnumbered, and his day had come at last—the last thing he could remember were the archers unleashing a volley. A volley that had to prove fatal.

Why else would it feel and seem as if he were dying?]

Dying… but not dead.

Not yet, at any rate…

[His ever-looming fate was calling to bring his life to a close, to claim him in the fate that was sealed with his doom. But even in such a dreadful hour, against over a hundred armed soldiers, it STILL hadn’t been enough to slay him outright; even THEN, he managed to—somehow—actually survive such a strike, and yet lived… strong enough, perhaps, in each fragmented moment, to endure.

He was having to fight for his life against the weight of the darkness—

But that meant that the fight wasn’t over, and he had the choice to continue. He was badly injured, but was living yet; in order to die, he would have to actively let go.

How long could he hold on? The strain was immense, and the fatigue was atrocious. He was so tired of pain and sorrow; he wanted to rest, to live on in peace. There was no peace to be had in a life of oppression; he’d lived eight years in the wilderness to try and escape such a dictatorship, and STILL his life had been ruled by fear and bitterness. It was only in recent time that he had finally started to escape from the shadow, and had truly begun to heal—

But now, the darkness that pursued their destruction had overtaken him once more. He might never see a time of true happiness again. He might, to be sure—but at what cost would it be? And how long would it take? And even if they triumphed—would the damage be too much to be undone? Was it even possible for them to live a life of prosperous peace?

That was all he wanted, all he wanted for his people. As a Venus nomad and exile, he had no singular nation; his duty was to the Lighthouses—Venus especially—and to the peoples that guard them. His heart and his fate had brought him to defend Lalivero against the brutality of the Tolbi Empire, and Angara was no longer his home. His heart burned with the noble flame of Mars—which was more intense than most of his friends could handle.

And the reminder made it burn in him now.

Venus may be Life and Death, but it was Mars that encapsulated the {[spirit]}; Venus was the vessel that carried the wisdom of Jupiter and clarity of Mercury, but it was the essence of Mars that illuminated the soul with passion and hope.

Venus was the will to endure—to suffer out of obligation to others and an _accepting_ sense of obedience.

And to that end, he had been pushed to his limit.

He slipped further, only just barely hanging on, feeling the desire to let go and sleep REALLY start to sink in to every fiber of his being.

He was absolutely exhausted, and held no energy to muster.

He’d seen more suffering in the last two decades than most would see in a lifetime; he barely managed to force himself through it all, and he had no desire to return to those dark days where his sanity could barely keep hold. He had such heavy obligations he’d have to carry, […] even in a time of oppression and despair. He would have to resist the oppression and speak out against it, refuse to give in to it, enduring the worst of the malice that tyrants could bare. Such torture as he had endured would be inflicted again; there would be threats and violence, and he wouldn’t be the only one to be punished for daring to dissent, to speak out against their Pride-driven evil.

But he would have to do just that, to adhere to true justice; he could not abandon the innocent in the hour of need, and it was his responsibility now to suffer and toil for the benefit of others, for those that came after him. He may never enjoy a life of serenity, but it was his duty to work for such a future so that others may live. For such was the sacrifice that all men are called to; a lifetime of service for the loved and the innocent, that they may know peace.]

This week will cause a lot of self examination as the New Moon in Aries will kick off a new cycle which will examine the direction we are choosing to take in our lives and heal any past grievances before we can move forward. The transits offer a lot of space for inner healing before we can charge onwards and periods of rest in between.

Energy: The energy in the air can feel palpable today as restless and energetic mars merges with transformative pluto which brings an incredible increase in sex drive, ambition, desire for control and power. This energy may be a bit of a powder keg going off with everyone forced to stay home and face the unjust circumstances of the governments slow responses to this global pandemic in effort to save the wealthy's interests in their finances. Additionally if your home life isn't stable this energy could make the space feel more on edge. However the moon finishing it's transit in Pisces (conjunct Neptune giving it even more of an empathetic compassionate nature) will help to find understanding between others in the home and this moon will make a lot of influential positive sextiles with the planets and Mars x Pluto conjunction. With the moon binding these energies together, one could find this flow of power useful to bring the community together and find solutions to help us feel empowered in the face of this crisis. Alternatively this time is great to work independently on something you are passionate about. Overall do not try to suppress this energy because Pluto the guardian of shadows likes to expose whatever is shrouded in secrets and this energy will burst out. If you are feeling unsafe or angry at a situation yet you cannot express it without some consequence then journal or channel it into something creative.

Energy: This new moon in Aries takes us on a new Lunar cycle where we will review our goals and intentions this half of the year to come. With the moon sextiling Saturn in Aquarius it will give us a boost to get tasks done and look at our goals responsibly. Pairing with recent events and the transits from yesterday along with Saturn now in communal Aquarius we may feel the desire to take responsibility in helping our community. Our minds may be focused on our roles in society and the direction we are going for the next cycles to come. The new moon will bring a lot of intense feelings as it will conjunct Chiron in Aries. This will bring up deep wounds regarding our self worth to the surface of our emotional body. Anywhere where we feel a lack of nurture can be a trigger for us. With the pandemic revealing the lack of empathy the government has for anyone who is not wealthy, this could push a lot of people to plan new solutions to help their local communities or the fiery new moon could trigger them into wanting an uprising. However this new moon will impact you, use it to reflect on where you want to go and plan out your goals for the cycle to come.

Energy: Today will be a day for revelations and intense emotional healing. Yesterday the moon briefly conjuncted chiron which would have foreshadowed the mood of today. With the Sun conjunct Chiron in Aries our deeply buried emotional wounds mostly regarding how we view ourselves will become the theme of the day. We may feel moody or reflective or easily triggered but there will be an opportunity for understanding and inner healing. The moon will oppose Juno rx in Libra that will ask us to examine our relationships or other areas which we have devoted ourselves to and see if it is still worth it. There will be a positive sextile with Ceres in Aquarius which will aid us in nurturing ourselves and others in our community that need it.

Recommendations: trance meditation, sound healing, positive affirmations, shadow work, kitchen magic (food is healing) bath magic.

Energy: From whatever wisdom you've gathered from yesterday it's time to make a change! You will find you will be drawn to making changes to your private life whether it be the space in your home or internally. The moon making a conjunction with Uranus in Taurus will push you to do that and will give you the ability to break any habits you wish to change or transform any areas of the home you were contemplating doing before. Just be wary with Uranus and the Moon energies combined this also gives way to sudden strange emotional outbursts so be self aware and give others space. The moon will also square Saturn in Aquarius which will make you want to seek solitude (good thing we are self isolating) but also potentially feel the weight of your responsibilities or goals you want to achieve which could either make you feel keen to act on them or feel depressed under the weight. The effect of the moon squaring Saturn could also bring up feelings of loneliness, shame and loss which could be raw points based on the previous two day transits with highly influential celestial bodies conjuncting Chiron. If you need an extra day to be alone and self heal then today may call for that additional alone time. However Moon conjunct Uranus may also push for you to change your perspective and personal life!

Energy: Today will be a day to re-emerge from your cocoon and chat to people as the moon in Taurus will sextile Mercury in Pisces. This aspect creates a need for socializing and connecting to others emotionally. Conversations could become very sentimental or focused on the past emotional days we had to endure and what could have brought certain feelings to the surface. It'll be a great day to reach out to a good friend on video chat or rant on social media to a supportive community that will lend a helpful ear. People will feel a little more inclined to be a listener and be empathetic towards each other. However whether you decide to reach out or not, the clarity mercury and the moon's sextile will bring can illuminate certain elements you could have overlooked that were influencing your moods. Hobbies and Talents: Ches’s main hobbies are playing piano and archery (she forever misses her bow and arrow while she’s at school), as these are also the two things that are best at calming her down. She has an intense love for acting, so it’s not uncommon for her to be one of the first people to sign up for auditions, and she tends to sing a lot so musicals are truly her shit. It’s not uncommon to see her in the library, reading a book late a night.

However, a talent she doesn’t exactly own up to often is her talent for forgeries and lockpicking. While she doesn’t use these skills as they’re intended for often, she does tend to practice them a lot, so she’s not rusty for when they are actually useful.

Ches left Luxor due to a family emergency in October, it was a really hard decision (and it was a really hard decision to come back). She is just now coming back to school.

Growing up as an Elswood means two things, you have a lot of siblings and a lot of money. Her parents had decided to raise their children in Manhattan, New York, where they could keep a close eye on their multi-billion dollar conglomerate. Her mother, Julia, would take them on trips constantly too - when she wanted to get the children away from the hustle and bustle of the city they’d go to their vacation home upstate, or their private island, or even to visit their family in Paris. At that point in life, Ches was happy. She had a solid group of friends, she had the best friend she could ever imagine having in the form of her twin brother, she had a loving and warm family, and she had a parent who would tell her no.

When she thinks back to her life before the incident, it feels like a completely different story. A fairytale even, perfect and happy in every way compared to her life now. However, it wouldn’t last, after all, fairy tales didn’t exist and reality was a much crueler mistress. One could say Lin-Manuel Miranda described it best; “life doesn't discriminate between the sinners and the saints. It takes and it takes and it takes.”

Everything changed on her eighth birthday when her mother took her out shopping to get a present for twin brother Jonah at Palisades Mall. A man came up with a gun while they were in the parking lot and asked for all of their money. Julia Elswood compiled but she made one mistake, the simple utterance of “Cours, Ches” as she gave the man her purse.

Ches might have gotten out of the event alive, but not she was not unscathed. Julia Elswood was pronounced dead when medics finally arrived on the scene, her blood coating her daughter’s hands and clothing from Ches’s attempts to stop the bleeding. She might have survived the event without physical harm but she was never the same child she was before after that.

One day she had an intact family, the next day the Elswoods were in ruin. Her father completely shut himself out from the family, only coming out for birthdays and holidays. Her oldest brother stepped up as their parental figure, first starting out with homeschooling before he eventually dropped out to ensure his siblings were getting as much of his time as they possibly could. He tried his hardest to make the loss of their mother easier on the younger girls especially, given how young they were at the time. She helped him with the girls as much as she could (and overtime she slowly started filling the role as their second parent). Because of how busy the younger Elswood children kept him, sometimes Logan didn’t have the time to comfort Ches when she woke up in the middle of the night, haunted by their mother.

That was when Emmett stepped in. It wasn’t uncommon for him to sleep on her floor so he’d be there when she woke up terrified out of her mind, and he was there when she just eventually stopped sleeping like people tended to. Over time she realized that Jonah and her weren’t truly two peas in a pod the way they used to be, that Emmett was the only Elswood who truly got her. He wasn’t perfectly normal either, his thoughts and feelings were flawed like hers.

In a family that made her feel so broken at times, Emmett was a saving grace - a reminder she wasn’t alone.

Going to school in Carnifex was an easy decision when you felt so alone at home, at school she found a close group of people she loved and cared about - she felt less alone and less like her family were judging her, and when the feeling came up - she could always toss herself back into her schoolwork and pretend that maybe, just maybe, she was just a normal kid living a normal boring life. Family issues easily bred vulnerability though, and it was that vulnerability that was exploited not long before she was set to start Carnifex.

Long-distance relationships weren't’ supposed to be easy, but when she fell in love for the first time. At the time, she had thought she was as fucked up as she could ever be, that at this point she was just focused on healing the wounds her mother’s death had left in therapy and after that, everything would be fine. James Ruth quickly showed her how mistaken she had been, even now she doesn’t like thinking about everything he had done to her. She doesn’t discuss everything he had put her through in the time they were together nor does she have any intentions on truly discussing the worst of the abuse she endured while dating him and she was home - even in therapy. It did, however, have an effect on her, it made her terrified of truly falling in love with somebody again.  (Note: James is also a massive reason why she doesn't get along with her brother Jamie, the two Elswood siblings never recovered from Jamie sleeping with Ches’s boyfriend. It causes a good deal of tension in the Elswood home but Ches can’t just forgive him, her brother never even apologized for his actions, she wasn’t going to pretend he didn’t hurt her because her father wanted them to get along for his own sake. They were on the rocks before this and afterward, the tension just got a whole lot worse.)

Going back to Carnifex her sophomore year was a key factor in helping Ches get away from her relationship, and it became as much of a home for her than her actual home was the longer she attended. Sure, she still misses her younger sisters, she misses Emmett and Camellia, and she misses her friends in the city. She also dislikes just how restricted she truly is when it comes to Instagram and trying to grow her influence while she attends Carnifex. Networking had to wait until she was home and sometimes she questions why she decided boarding school was a good idea. And then Ches looks at her friends, at the education she’s receiving, and all the fond memories she’s developing. Carnifex, and now Luxor, was well worth the fear of missing out she feels. 

If you had asked her at the start of this school year, she would have told you nothing could have gotten her to leave school for any amount of time her senior year, she had spent the whole summer at Luxor (even after hearing about her baby niece, that meant a lot) - she finally settled in, she couldn’t imagine anything happening that would cause her to leave the academy. And then, on October 16th at two am in the morning, she got a phone call from Ella. Their oldest brother, Logan, had overdosed. While his drug addiction had never been a secret to the family, his relapse had been a surprise to Ches. Her brother had sworn up and down he was fine, that everything at home was okay. Going back to New York was a no brainer, her family needed her - and she needed them.

Logan, who’d been the closest thing to a parent she had since her mother died, almost died - she almost lost all the parental figures she ever knew. It was hard, getting adjusted back to New York City, she threw herself into her school work and did her best to fill the shoes Logan left open as he went through rehab, and then, adjusted back to being home. While she stayed in touch with the people she had at Luxor, she wouldn’t come back until her brother way okay - until she felt safe about leaving him with his daughter and their siblings without her as a backup. Coming back to school this time was really hard on her, the homesickness is worse than ever and she’s constantly trying to check in on her siblings (because mom!Ches is truly in full force and she’s trying to get it back down) but she’s glad to be back. She’s missed being at Luxor, a lot, so she’s glad to be back.

north node in taurus south node in scorpio - the nodes are mathematical points opposite each other in the chart. south node indicates your comfort zone and north node indicates what somebody wants out of life and has to go out of said comfort zone for. this alignment indicates somebody who struggles between holding onto things and letting shit go. TRUST ISSUES. also rly strong sexual energy that fucking asshole.

lilith in pisces - lilith is a fictional point opposite the actual moon. in mythology, lilith refused to submit to adam, rejected the world of adam & eve and decided to go chill with satan instead. which, lilith did nothing wrong but whatever. so yr lilith alignment can show what you have fascination with and what you reject about yourself. lilith in pisces people often have a fascination with self-sacrifice and often feel connected with EVERYTHING, which then leads to a lot of suffering. vulnerable to alcoholism/drug issues. people tend to find ppl with this alignment captivating but also can be intimidated/unsettled by them.

chiron in pisces - chiron is an asteroid btwn saturn and uranus. in mythology, chiron was an immortal centaur who was a healer and a teacher. he was injured by a poisonous arrow by heracles and it should have killed him but due to his immortality, he was suffering in excruciating pain but couldn’t die. he gave his immortality for prometheus and upon being sent to the underworld, zeus showed mercy on him and raised him up into the heavens as a celestial body. chiron symbolizes unhealable trauma but can also indicate how one can accept their suffering and move forward. people with chiron in pisces tend to feel the weight of the world on their shoulders and feel they’re all too aware of the suffering of other people and things like violence and injustice. these people often respond to this by helping others in some way.

The next hour passed in such a daze of quick events that Michiru scarcely recalled them even as they occurred, one moment bleeding into the next like inexpertly applied watercolors, mingling until the entire canvas was muddied beyond recognition of what it once was, what it should have been.  There were doctors in and out of the room, she recalled, and she knew that she had signed several documents with a shaking hand, her signature remaining as delicate and ornamental as it had ever been, still a perfect piece of artistry even as the canvas of her world rended itself into scraps of confetti.  

Haruka never left her vision again, staring at her intensely with those green eyes that she knew couldn’t be real but somehow had never felt more alive, the lips that she knew could not be there, and yet she could feel when they brushed against her head, her hand, her cheek.  The pain as her wounds knitted back into place was nothing compared to the searing agony in her chest, each beat of her traitorously living heart a reminder that she had ruined everything to save Haruka, to save the woman that she loved, and she had not even succeeded in that effort.

Once she was settled at home the others left her room, Rei doing so only after instructing her gently to get some sleep.  Hotaru offered to stay and provide healing, but Michiru asked to have some time alone - except she wasn’t really alone, Haruka was sitting on the bottom of the bed - and Hotaru did not push further.  The heavy wooden door shut and Michiru turned to the phantom of her lover, not wanting to say the words aloud but knowing that she needed to in order for them to become true.

“You are not really here.  My Haruka is dead.”  The sentence came out in a whisper that turned into a strangled, choking sob, her weakness on full display as tears ran openly down her face, dotting the hospital gown she still wore with markers of her own incompetence.

Haruka - not Haruka, she corrected internally, some manifestation of my own subconscious - shrugged in that same casual way she had a thousand times, her shoulders lifting slightly before relaxing again.  “I’m as here as you want me to be, Michi.”  She flipped herself onto her knees and crawled closer, and Michiru could swear that she felt weight and heat from where Haruka’s body covered her own.  “I’m as real as you need me to be.”  She kissed her again, less gently this time, a hand winding through Michiru’s hair in a familiar caress. 

“This isn’t real,” Michiru whispered between kisses, shaking her head.

Haruka smirked devilishly, her free hand wandering downwards, Michiru gasping softly.  “I’ll make it feel real.”  Michiru bit her lip, knowing that the touches weren’t really happening but unable to deny their effect on her regardless.  “Does this feel real to you?”  She let out a soft whimper under the familiar caresses, Haruka’s practiced hands knowing exactly what she wanted.

Haruka drew back suddenly, ceasing her touches, and Michiru nearly groaned with frustration.  “Do you want me to go away, Michi?  Just tell me to leave, and I’m not real any more.”  The sparkle in her eyes and the growing, almost predatory smile on her face indicated that she already knew the response, and as Michiru leaned forward to press her lips against her lover’s, she tasted of apples.

At the Shrine across town, Mercury pored over her handheld computer and studied the flashing symbols on the screen with ferocity.  The knowledge of how to unlock the hidden data from the days of the Silver Millenium had been gifted to her when she remembered the ancient, long-dead language that had been used then, its characters foreign to all living eyes but hers now.  She smiled at the thought that she was the last person with such knowledge, her lips pressed together in a thin line.

“How are we progressing, Mercury?”

Mercury jumped internally as the cool voice washed over her like a wave, whipping around and falling to a knee as instinctively as she breathed, the motion just as effortless and necessary.  “My Queen,” she responded, the air in front of her lips fogging just slightly, her element showing itself more in the presence of its mistress.  Her eyes stared at the hem of the white gown in front of her, everything else in the room dim and dull by comparison of its pearlescent shine.

“‘Princess’; I am not Queen as of yet,” she corrected, and Mercury felt a trickle of sweat freeze to the skin on her back, icing over.  “Stand, Mercury, and give me a report.”  A pause - then, as an afterthought: “Please.”  The last word sounded out of place with the others, a switch from her natural cadence to an attempt to pronounce a concept from a newly-learned foreign language.  Mercury stood and raised her eyes to the face of her ruler, though never high enough to make eye contact, her gaze resting on the flawless porcelain cheekbones.

“Princess,” Mercury forced out with mild effort, which she endured because she could not fathom the thought of disobedience, “As you are aware, Jupiter expended her energies greatly during the battle.  She was left in a comatose state.  You chose to revive me -” revive seemed the wrong word somehow; she had never been dead, just slumbering beneath the surface of a weak-willed teenage girl, one whose favor of kindness over science disgusted her - “two days ago, and have been resting your energies since then.”  

Her gaze drifted past Serenity to the bed behind her where Jupiter lay, Sleeping Beauty tucked between Rei’s anime-themed sheets, still and unresponsive as a fairytale illustration.  “There has been no change in Jupiter’s status.  I remain unable to wake her, and it is only through your daily energy sharing that she continues to exist in this state.”  The knowledge of her failure hung greatly over her head, and she resisted the urge to drop to her knees and beg forgiveness, if only because her Princess would not stand groveling from her soldiers.

“Scan me.  I would know the probability of a successful revival at my current energy levels.”  Mercury nodded and took a step backwards, raising the computer and tapping a few buttons to bring up the proper display.  Data scrolled across her visor and screen simultaneously as she allowed the computer to work, a few moments of silence passing as the calculations were completed.

“The probability of success at this time would be approximately 86.83%, Princess.  There is a 8.49% chance that she would improve slightly but not wake; a 3.14% chance that no change would occur, and a 1.54% chance that you would extend your own energies too greatly and damage yourself.  Given these values, I believe that you could safely awaken her at this time.”

The Princess-Queen glanced over at Jupiter in the bed, still and fragile and somehow looking so small, despite being taller than either of the other women.  Serenity nodded sharply.  “Very well, Mercury.  Your diligence is noted and appreciated.”  She frowned even as Mercury bent at the waist slightly, a thanks for the compliment that her body performed naturally.  “Will I need to recharge so long before waking Uranus?  And what of Pluto?”

Mercury shook her head lightly, ice-blue hair sweeping out of her eyes.  “No, my Q- Princess,” she corrected hastily, “your powers were much more significantly depleted from your own transformation, eliminating the opposing army, and purifying myself.  Awakening Jupiter will use a large amount of your energy, but it should recharge significantly faster.  I estimate that you will be able to revive Uranus within 24 hours.”

Serenity’s rose-petal lips curled into a tiny smile, so minute and controlled that a less observant party could have assumed it was a trick of the lighting; but Mercury was nothing if not an efficient tool for data intake, and so she catalogued the discrepancy as she continued to speak.  “Pluto’s body has yet to be discovered.  As the area has been thoroughly canvassed, my current theory is that she dematerialized and was instantly reincarnated at the Time Gate, as is typical of her position.  We do not currently possess a means of reaching the Time Gate to confirm this hypothesis.  My recommendation is to classify Pluto as a lost asset.”

The rose of Serenity’s lips wilted, and the thorns of her perfectly white teeth poked out from underneath the small curl of disgust.  “That is...disappointing, indeed.”  Pluto had been one of the stronger defensive Senshi, and Mercury knew that from a tactical standpoint the loss of her power was not insignificant.  “Still,” Serenity continued, taking small, gliding steps towards the bed where Jupiter lay.  “We will have the rest back soon.  Beginning with her.”

She stopped at the bedside, pale hand reaching out somewhat tenderly to brush back the bangs from Jupiter’s forehead.  Serenity’s eyes, as blue and as cold as the most rare of sapphires, closed as she touched a single finger to the center of the prone woman’s forehead.  The golden moon on her face began to glow, its aura traveling downwards over her unearthly pale skin from her neck, to her arm, to that extended finger, and finally onto Jupiter before disappearing into her forehead.  Serenity’s brow creased slightly as the light increased in strength, crescendoing until there was a single bright flash of white light that forced Mercury’s eyes to squint shut, unable to withstand the intensity.

When she reopened her eyes, Serenity looked slightly less radiant than she had a few moments prior - her sapphire eyes were fogged over as though in need of a polish, and the subtle sparkle that her skin always seemed to hold now was emphasized by the light layer of sweat that crossed her chest.  The woman in the bed looked much the same, except that her hair had lightened a few shades, a more medium-brown at the roots fading into a tan shade towards the bottom.  Her eyes opened to reveal the other change in Jupiter’s appearance, the bright yellow irises seeming to crackle with electricity.  

She sat up quickly, a near-predatory smile on her face as she cracked her neck, then her knuckles, the second causing small sparks to fly from her hands as she did so.  Jupiter rose from the bed, steady as though she hadn’t just been in a coma moments ago, and knelt at Serenity’s feet.  Mercury knew chastising her for such strain would get nowhere - Jupiter had never been one to listen to reason - and so chose to put her energy into performing a basic vitals scan, just to ensure that all had gone as it should have.

“My Queen,” came Jupiter’s voice, rumbling and sure.

This time, Serenity did not correct the title.  “Rise, Jupiter.  There is much work to be done if we are to enact Crystal Tokyo.”

Jupiter did as she was commanded, a broad smirk spreading across her face as tiny crackles of electricity danced across her knuckles.  “I can’t wait to begin.”

First let me answer your personal questions first, it’s totally ok to relate to your moon. I mean, that’s the point? The sun usually takes a while to get to for most people, because it tends to play out throughout your life. Some might want/need to grow into themselves to find themselves. But what matters is that we have an inkling/footpath on where we’re going/who we are/what we’re doing. So that we can eventually lead ourselves to where we want to be, ought to be 💕❤️ 

There’s a lot of information on sun signs because sun sign astrology is very.. ‘mainstream’? 💕❤️ It’s how people who might be super detached from astrology (other planets involved) probably remember/think about astrology as a concept/subject. As well as, the sun technically being the center of well, everything. The planet evolves around the sun, the sun doesn’t evolve around the planets right? 💕❤️ 

But yeah there’s a lot more on sun signs than other planets. I could say it might be because people like the quick and dirty, the easily digestible and doesn’t have the time to get attached/involved in learning about other planets (very plausible, considering not everyone has the dig deeper into astrology unless they can just get their interpretations for free/quick) and the nitty gritty of it? But it could also be because technically– we’re all trying to learn more about the center of our galaxy here. Trying to move more and more towards it, but hey yeah – that’s just something that played out over time, people using sun signs to make a quick ready-to-go dish for the general population as well? 💕❤️

So. You mentioned weighted. And I’ve been wanting to talk about sect for a while now. Hence, here’s a quick and very very simplified guide to working with/talking about sect for beginners 💕❤️

Friendly Beginner’s Guide to Sects

First of all, hello! 💕❤️ When you mentioned the sun and moon, and asked how they are weighted. This is more to do with diurnal/nocturnal chart and how it might affect you. Just to clarify, this is more in the realms of traditional astrology than modern. 

So if you haven’t heard of it (fear not!) i’ll talk about it now. 

Step 1. 

Please take a look at your chart and note where your sun is 💕❤️ 

What you just need to focus on is your ASC-DSC line. Your horizon and whether your Sun is above/below that line.

Say your Sun is above your ASC/DSC – you have a diurnal chart. I’d say you can tell from your time of birth, but sometimes it’s a little wonky with daylights saving. So just see where your sun is relative to your horizon line instead (also with houses, if you’re using whole signs– your asc will be marked/isn’t the start of the house. So just see where it is relative to the ASC/DSC marker). 

If your sun is BELOW the ASC/DSC – you have a nocturnal chart.

Step 2.

Now we look at sect. Sect usually has teams (groups/factions). Think of this as a team-sports. Dodge ball or basketball, anything that’s a team. If you’re a diurnal chart, your Sun is the captain of the team. If you’re a nocturnal chart, your Moon is the captain. On the Sun side, you have Jupiter and Saturn in your team. On the Moon side, you have Venus and Mars.

You’re either one of them – you’re a Sun team, or a Moon team. Unrelated to how you ‘feel’ about the chart. 

What’s important here is that you DO have sun, moon, venus, mars, jupiter, saturn ALL in your chart. But how is it weighted? With this system, there’s favouritism. It favours a team. 

You have the players ready – if your chart is a diurnal chart. It favours the diurnal side. If it’s a nocturnal chart – it favours the nocturnal side. 

Usually, we say it has more power. The opposing team still functions/has a will, but relative to the one the that is favored– it may be less of a focus than you realize.

Again– this is very methodical. So regardless of how we ‘feel’ about it– this is just a technique to delineate the chart and work on it in a way. I think keeping an open-mind and trying to understand it could be helpful, particularly because we’re trying to work with what we have. And this is a system that’s impartial to feelings. Making the best of our potentials– can sometimes mean being open to learning about ourselves despite how we relate to it sometimes. But yeah hey anyways, let’s move on a little bit more 

Step 2.5 - Mercury 

Mercury is a different story. I’d say it’s like the referee, but it can also have allies on one side > the other. To really look/think about Mercury – see where it is relative to the Sun. If your Mercury is rising BEFORE the sun - it’s a morning star (diurnal sect) if it sets AFTER the sun – it’s an evening star (diurnal).

If you’re trying to think about it with houses/numerical order, it gets confusing. (i.e. 1->12,11,10) So look at it visually instead (i just used the previous chart so sorry about how messy it is) 

Step 3.

Benefic and Malefic, we often hear about it and think it’s static. Oh saturn/mars/pluto are always malefic. Hm well here’s the thing 

In this case – because we’ve clearly separated each ones into teams. Saturn can indeed give more benefits than Mars in a diurnal chart. Much like how Jupiter can become a less of a good thing in a nocturnal chart. This is relative to the chart 

(*also to note, the conditions of the planets, as well as how benefic Jupiter/Venus are in general, still is important/prevails – learning about this system/technique is to help us understand where to start with delineating the chart, as well as how benefics/malefics could function in sects of the chart itself.) 

So, again, to recap:

Sun team - Jupiter, Saturn

Moon team - Venus, Mars

Do you want to look at my chart as an example?

so here’s my chart and you can see my sun is below the horizon (ASC) so it’s a nocturnal chart.

Who’s in my team? Venus and Mars.

Who’s my malefic? Jupiter and Saturn

So see here. My Venus/Jupiter are conjunct to each other. While Venus is benefic to me – it’s making an aspect with a Jupiter. Since my Jupiter is domicile in Sagittarius as well – more likely than not, sometimes I /do/ suffer from giving away too much to others, or being a little more naive/believe purely in the good faith of others that I get taken advantage of sometimes. Even if it’s not to the degree of being completely ruined (that Venus working for me) – but it’s a lesson to learn/grow from.

Jupiter in 1st along with Venus, can also talk about me over-indulging in things my Venus wants to the point where my body/appearance may suffer. Sometimes it’s self-image/body dysphoria as well. Where I might gain or lose weight and try to justify that with body-image ideas , or perhaps– it’s me sometimes unnerving people with how jupiterian my 1st house is sometimes. it might not just be everyone’s cup of tea– especially those who may be shrewd/reserved or have a different position/stance/ideas than how I approach others. 

Here’s my Mars opposition Saturn. Mars is somewhat helpful to me in my night chart, she does alot in my favour– especially in the MC. But she opposes my Pisces Saturn in 4th – sometimes I lose, and I suffer from loses/lost of stability for the things I think me/others think I want to achieve. Sacrifices are sometimes made, others can sometimes see this lost publicly (my losses/see it as a lost). I had to choose between living closer to family, or being further away. Support system aren’t always there – feeling destabilized/mentally unprepared sometimes for changes in lifestyle/goals.

My Pisces Saturn in the 4th also talks about negligence, which can sometimes influence my decisions. As in, I don’t make decisions because I can sometimes be afraid of them/losing stability. From past experiences, I may sometimes want something so badly (the grass is always greener) but fail to appreciate what I had before/had now. Sometimes I think about the father figure– but we won’t get into that. 

My venus and mars are making squares to each other, at exactly 0′01. This can be constructive to me in a way – even if they’re squared and still needs working through— I have a drive/push to do better/be better. Less trusting than I realized, immense drive/will-power but also some charm that can be beneficial in presenting ideas to people. Venus in 1st and Mars in 10th, concerning Virgo Mars and Sagittarius Venus. I’m noticed for my attention to details, ‘the work speaks for itself’, quality and quantity of work. Sometimes out of the box ideas and aesthetic sense. Sticking out, saying/demonstrating what I mean. But yeah.

Step 4.

So what to do with all this? You don’t have to immediately do what I did above. You can just gather that ‘ok, so i have a nocturnal chart. What do I look at here?’ and notice your Venus and Mars first.

Take some time in noticing them, observing them. Getting to know these placements helps, because then you can look at your Saturn,Jupiter and see how it’s going/affecting you as well. 

Step 5.

This is a little detail – but you can also find ‘joys’ with sects as well. As in – there’s other ways, conditions, that can be rejoiceful for the planets in questions. 

Position of the planets (matching the sect of the chart, i.e. diurnal chart, with jupiter/saturn above the horizon)

Diurnal/nocturnal signs (i.e. nocturnal chart, with a Scorpio mars, Taurus venus - as opposed to Aries mars, Libra venus (diurnal))

Polarity (*some say this might correlate to the diurnal/nocturnal signs, but for distinction: i.e. diurnal chart, Aries Sun, Libra Jupiter, Aquarius Saturn vs nocturnal chart, Taurus moon, Capricorn mars, Pisces venus)

Overview

On March 14th, Mercury Rx forms an inferior conjunction (a beginning) with the Sun in Pisces. This is the halfway point of Mercury’s retrograde and a moment of clarity as the Sun’s light reveals a slippery lie, vague truth or missing piece of info. This will be connected to the January 29th superior conjunction of the Sun and Mercury in Aquarius: a result that has lead to March 14th’s new beginning.

Also on March 14th, Mars in Taurus trines Saturn in Capricorn, harmonizing patient actions (Mars) with focus and discipline (Saturn). This is the aspect of gradual reward that comes from determined work. It is slow but solid and adds weight to what the Sun/Mercury conjunction reveals.

The Sun and Mercury both make sextiles to Pluto in Capricorn, squares to Jupiter in Sagittarius and trines to the North Node (on various days this week). These aspects colour the Sun/Mercury conjunction in the following ways:

The Responsible Soul Having the North Node in Capricorn in your chart means that you are supposed to evolve throughout life by getting your act together. This is a lifetime that needs to be about true responsibility for you, which is why I call you the responsible soul. Finding deep fulfillment within is going to come from developing self-sufficiency and self-discipline. When you can figure out the right guidelines and structures to live your life by, you will be on the right track. Like with the other Earthy North Nodes (Virgo and Taurus), your spiritual growth is actually going to be a very practical thing. It’s going to come from embracing the positives of ambition and achievement. Your highest soul-expression motivates you to set respectable goals and work hard to make them a reality. Yet, with the South Node in Cancer, you have got to deal with your inner craziness before you can feel effective enough to achieve these goals. Our South Node is what holds us back from living out and fulfilling our North Node. So, it’s all about a balance here. The wonderful thing about having a Cancer South Node is how naturally sensitive, intuitive, and responsive you are. You possess a really ingrained care for other people, even if you might not always want to show it. The downside of this placement is that it can make you too defensive or too insecure for your own good. But, I think the problem was that you felt enslaved in that role of the homemaker. You didn’t develop any strong ambitions of your own, instead leaving it to your spouse to bring home the bacon. I can also see this being a major dynamic in your family of origin. You could’ve been the one who always needed to be taken care of and protected, well into adulthood. This eventually resulted in emotional immaturity, stunting you and preventing you from regulating your emotions and needs properly. A terrible moodiness developed in this life, especially if your family just “let you be” when you were feeling crabby or nutty because they were so used to your irrational ways. You could spend a ton of time just brooding over your feelings and how you’ve been hurt or wounded. A virtual addiction to those turbulent emotions developed and you turned into that person who just had to be constantly upset about something, instead of actually, you know, doing something about the situation. This only reinforced the notion that you needed to be taken care of. However, you might have also spent a lot of time taking care of other people, to a degree where your emotions and needs were actually neglected, only magnifying your sense of vulnerability and insecurity. With Cancer South Node people, their past life self fell into either category: always being protected or always protecting other people. It stemmed from deeply ingrained habits. Whatever role you played in your family, you played it to the hilt. If you were “the baby” of the family, you remained the baby all your life. If you were “the oldest”, you always acted like the oldest. Also, if you were the funny child, the screw-up child, the beautiful child, the brainy child, etc., you remained that child until the day you died. Being unable to break free of that familial role is something that really hindered your adult relationships, as well as your bond with your children. I think it would be very rare to see a Cancer South Node who wasn’t a parent in their last life. And although you were so sensitive and caring, you could’ve really smothered your children, especially since you project the same expectations on to them that your parents did to you. Repeating the cycle in a particularly unhealthy way is a major part of your spiritual baggage that you’ve carried over into this life. Those issues were not resolved in your former life. So, now, they are your unsettled business. Because of the unconscious element of the Water signs, I think that people with their South Node in Water (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) feel their past-life burdens much more heavily and profoundly than most people. Because of that, you probably believe in past lives, especially since Cancer is so connected to the past. Even if you don’t, these are still issues that have strongly affected your past in this life. All of what I just said is how you’ve lived out your past in this current lifetime, in one way or another. Your nature has remained way too crystallized in your childhood self and who you’ve always been in your family. This has prevented you from truly understanding who you could be in the greater world. You can also get far too wrapped up in your emotional reactions and needs, either experiencing terrible dependency and instability or a real sense of emptiness and neglect because of these pressing feelings. As long as we remain over-focused on the South Node, it won’t get us anywhere. So, as long as you remain moody, co-dependent, reactive, and a creature of conditioning, you are going to continue to feel stagnant. Yet, I feel like it takes a lot to push Cancer South Node people out of their comfort zone, much like with Taurus South Node folks. In order to begin moving toward your Capricorn North Node, you have to “wake up” a bit harder than the next person, realizing that these habits and reactions of yours are just doing you no good. It’s my opinion that people don’t start really fulfilling their North Node until their late 20’s or early 30’s, at least, as it is a side of yourself that emerges with maturity. But, with this placement, which makes real maturity feel like a struggle, you might remain in a state of arrested development with your North Node. That comfort zone feels so warm and cozy, in spite of the fact that it doesn’t really fulfill you. It also feels like it’s essential to your very survival. So, rising above and transforming your South Node in Cancer feels a lot like leaving home, which is really difficult for you. Literally leaving home is often very scary for you.
