And then imagine soap bringing Ghost home to the family for the holidays. Pack hunting is a good form of bonding and communication upkeep in the pack. Imagine ghost helping them spot a herd of wild deer, then he stays back to watch over soaps neices and nephews and niblings

When the rest of the pack return, prey in paws (hehe get it - like hands) they find Raven!Ghost hopping around and playing with the pups

I probably won’t post about this story too much because it’s a Ream exclusive, but I love these characters already. Earth Render is MMMMF (not reverse harem, just a weird little polycule with various dynamics) and it’s set in the same universe as the rest of my paranormal fantasy stories.

This is a tiny excerpt from Taryn (vampire) and Kenna (his clueless and faithful vaewolf).

His hand lands on my shoulder, which feels… friendly? Then, he slides his palm over my skin, his gaze dropping to my chest, which is prickling with heat. His hand meets my neck, thumb rubbing over my Adam's apple, which feels a whole lot more intense, and my dick is getting on board with whatever this is before my brain is ready.

“I’ve always loved you, Kenna. And there is so much platonic love in there that I don’t know how to separate it from the things I want to do to you.” 👀

The stifling silence hanging in the air was broken by a faint moaning. Both the Wolf and the Shifter looked to the bed where Y/N lay as she shifted uncomfortably around the mattress, her brow furrowed. She mumbled something before rolling her head to her other shoulder and back, as though trying to throw something off.

Sanemi and Shinobu moved quickly and in unison as they saw her arm lift jerkily in the air, her wrapped hand going for the bandaged part of her face.

“You can’t scratch, Y/N,” Shinobu said gently, her lithe fingers closing delicately around the girl’s forearm. “You’ll break your stitching.”

Sanemi’s mate tossed her head again and tried weakly to pull her arm free of Shinobu’s grip.

“G-gram?” She croaked, voice cracking from days of nonuse. “Gram?”

The Huntsman felt his heart sink. “What is it, my Lamb?” He took his fiancé’s arm from Shinobu’s hands, his fingers rubbing soothingly against her skin.

Y/N made like she was trying to sit up before she flopped back against the array of pillows at her back. “Grammy,” she moaned again, only this time, her voice tapered off with a whimper. “It hurts.”

Shinobu’s shoulders sagged as Sanemi’s breath caught in his throat. “I know, sweetling. I know it does.”

But she only shook her head. “Gram, I don’t —“ the words slurred in together as Y/N tossed back against her bed once more. “I don’t feel good.” Her lower lip began to quiver, and Sanemi saw tears begin to cluster along the lash line of her right eye. “Grammy, it hurts —“

Sanemi looked helplessly to the raven-haired doctor. “Don’t you have anything stronger?” He rasped, a hand coming to rest against the side of Y/N’s head, his thumb stroking her hairline. “Please, Shinobu, I — I can’t stand to let her keep suffering like this —“

“Kotoha,” Y/N whimpered, her bandaged hand reaching out toward the doctor as she moved away. “Kotoha, please —“

Shinobu turned back to the human girl, gut souring in pity.

“Don’t leave me.”

Shinobu Kocho had only ever fallen ill — truly, dangerously ill — once in her entire life.

It was the winter after her sister had disappeared; a fever, high and terrible had brought the fierce young shifter to her knees, stranding her in bed for a days as she grew progressively weaker.

Shinobu’s memories of that time were fuzzy — she recalled getting sick and the first few days she’d spent in bed, but everything after that was a blur of colors and the unsettling feeling of being both unbearably hot and colder than ice as her body struggled to regulate its temperature.

Then, one night, she’d taken a turn for the worse; so much so, that Gyomei had sent Sanemi to the nearest village to fetch human medication, fearful that the young girl wouldn’t make it through the night without stronger intervention.

Despite her fever-addled mind, Shinobu remembered how she thrashed against her covers, body aching and skin burning so badly she began crying out for her — for her sister. When Kanae hadn’t answered, Shinobu only cried harder, desperate for her elder sister’s soothing touch.

The memory of how lost and helpless she’d felt — how badly she’d wanted comfort — had stayed with Shinobu even long after her fever broke.

“I won’t,” Shinobu whispered, taking a seat back upon the small stool by Y/N’s bedside. “I’ll stay.”

A quiet exhale of relief blew past Y/N’a dry, cracked lips, and her features eased. Perhaps it was because she felt sorry for Sanemi’s beloved mate; maybe it was because the doctor knew exactly how it felt to long for the comfort of a beloved ghost. All Shinobu knew for certain was that she could not — would not — leave Y/N to endure the night alone.

And so, the young doctor did not stop herself from reaching out, her delicate fingers gently brushing away the errant tear that slipped down the girl’s cheek.

“I’ll stay right here, darling girl.”

Tempted to make Soap a Raven and Ghost a Wolf cause of the times ravens and wolves are seen interacting. Also Ravens are hella smart and I think it fits Soap

Ghost being an inherently social creature. It's why that despite what people assume, he always works with at least one other person. His greatest fear is dying alone. And not like in the sense of never having found the one true love, but in the sense of he's dying on the battlefield with no one he would call an ally.

It’s Price who extends the olive branch first. The bear shifter sees how crooked the new edition is, and reads her files to see that anything regarding her being a shifter is redacted. Laswell informs him that she is a forced shifter and he keeps it quiet.

He sees her as a little baby bird, isolated and struggling to understand her foreign body and new instincts. He leaves her a coffee every morning, which she seems to appreciate, but the perches he had installed around base go unused and he finds his peace offerings right where he left them at the end of the day. He’s confused, but undeterred, and decides to leave it for a while and see if she settles in herself.

It’s Gaz who tries next. He’d been a little unsettled at first, bristling when she first stepped onto base, but he soon came to the conclusion that even though she was… different, so we’re the rest of them. He paid attention to what she would eat and tried to fix her a plate, but she pushed him away and stopped turning up to the mess hall. That one hurt, and he didn’t understand why she wasn’t abiding by normal etiquette, but he talked to Price and decided to try being a little less pushy, instead offering her to join him on runs and sticking near her during training.

Soap has always been the most outgoing of the ragtag pack. When she arrived, he ignored her strange scent and wary stares and tried to throw an arm around her shoulder but she’d just jumped away and stared at him like a deer in headlights, fighting the urge to either tilt her head or peck him with a beak that wasn’t even there. Even after a couple of weeks she was still recoiling at him and while he was confused, he shrugged it off with a simple “it’s alright, Hen, I don’t bite” and a smile that showed too many teeth.

Ghost was a faceless operative with no trace of a backstory and an even less polite disposition. He wasn’t scared of her when she arrived, simply staring her down with stony eyes and squinting when she pushed Johnny away. He picked up immediately that she wasn’t normal, but wasn’t particularly phased. Her clinical scent wasn’t worse than being buried alive, after all. Despite this, Ghost was still a cheetah, known for being wary and skittish. He kept his distance, and didn’t say anything when she kept rolling her shoulders like she was ruffling wings or reaching to preen phantom pin feathers. He got used to her quickly, and while he was a little cautious of how detached and uncomfortable she was and how she would never shift, he did his best to respect her boundaries and stop Soap from tackling her in the mornings.

It came to a head when one morning, Soap decided to pull a harmless prank on their new edition. If he knew what would have happened, he would never have done it, but when he jumped out at her on a random Thursday morning, he wasn’t expecting the sound of bones snapping and flesh tearing followed by a screech. In her place, instead of a person in military gear, Johnny saw a pile of clothes with a raven sat atop it, screaming at the top of its avian lungs.

Then he saw it.

Her eyes were too large, her feathers were ruffled and covered in stress bars, and she was limping on normal foot and another with only two claws. He felt awful, but the damage had been done, and he was being pulled back by the collar by Ghost and Gaz was running to get Price. The raven made for the closest cover, underneath a cabinet they were all too big to get under, not trusting her wings to take her away.

It took Price the best part of half an hour to coax her out with soothing words and treats, and when she did finally hop into his hand he handed her a tab from a can, which confused her. Why did this trash seem like treasure? Why did she want it so much? He used her confusion to gently pet her head and start picking at the itchy keratin sheaths on her new feathers. He sighed, the little bird didn’t even know how to take care of herself.

At that point, the 141 took her in, vowing to work through her fears and teach her everything she needed to know.

Okay but this right here is It. This is how it would go. Especially with a made raven? She's fighting so hard against her instincts and she's itchy all the time and she's so uncomfortable in her own skin that she has trouble connecting to people.

Aww hell yeah

I've been a fan of Amon Amarth longer than Ghost. You have no idea the euphoria I felt when Ghost had announced Amon Amarth would be touring with them last summer. I never in a million years thought that I'd see them live, but I did and they were great!

This is what their stage looked like:

They're called "Viking Metal" sometimes because they often sing about Norse Mythology and Viking history, but they're a Melodic Death Metal band. All their songs are great fun and there's opportunities for fan interaction in a lot of songs.

For example, in the following songs:

Raise Your Horns - Fans raise their drinks into the air when he sings "raise your horns, raise them up to the sky" as he's referencing drinking horns (not devil horns).

Put Your Back Into The Oar - Fans sit on the ground or in their seats and "row" their "boats" when he says "row." Frontman Johan Hegg shows great crowd control in this moment.

Heidrun - When Johan sings "Who's the goat? Who's the goat?", fans shout "Heidrun! Heidrun!" (Heidrun is a mead producing goat who feeds Odin's army of warriors in Valhalla)

While they have these "fun" standalone songs, they also have themed albums. One of my favorites is an album about Loki called "Deceiver of the Gods." Some of my favorite songs on that album are:

The first one to be made and my dearest boy whom I apparently just like to put in situations. He has a garden back in his house in Silverymoon that he loves very much and gets worried about when he has toi go far for an extended period of time, usually other members of the church of Ilmater take care of it or sometimes his dad does.

Half-elf (drow) wizard. Student of Strixhaven, Quandrix School, very very tired he needs some sleep so much, one of his counsellors is a shifter werecat(mechanically a weretiger but I just wanted to make it a calico cat) for the theory side of the school.

Heinrich von Wenninger*

Ah yes, my dhampir vampire hunter. He has a cane, it was from his old teacher whom tragically passed away, he still carries it around everywhere as a memento, the cane is also quite interesting, it's part of the gothic trinkets list from Curse of Strahd/Van Richten's Guide, so the tip can generate sparks, instead of it being magical I made it like it is a small mechanism that with enough force could generate a small fire (and that definitely didn't come back to bite me in his oneshot/j)

Icarus Nephus

My scourge aasimar, sunsoul monk whom is basically a greek demigod (child of Apollo). He knows how to play the flute quite well, he learned to do it back in his monastery in Elturel. I also change his name slightly depending if I'm talking in English or Spanish (Icarus/Ícaro)

Nolan

They're the amneciacTM character, meant to be given to the dm and see what chaos unfolds, the few things I have stablished is that he has stitches and an odd scar in their chest powering their wild magic and is mortally afraid of mirrors.

Professor Meadowheart

Teacher in Strixhaven, Quandrix School, he's known to give one of the easiest classes for the first year students and one of the hardest for the last year students. He's also Enoch's counsellor embodying the substance part of quandrix. He has a raven familiar and definitely isn't conflicted about that (Shadar Kai that basically escaped the Shadowfell).

Yín Lóng/Argentum*

My silver dragon whom was cursed to be in human form. Loves loves loves books, they canonically have a library in the abandoned temple that they live in, also the story hook for their adventure is that someone stole one of the books, a very dangerous one so they're going to retrieve it (+ being stuck in human form and trying to transform back).

Thurak*

Half-Orc Wild Magic Barbarian. I have made reference to this several times but I never get tired about talking about it, he has a broken lyre cus he tried to play music and failed. On a fun fact related to his backstory, he actually doesn't know how to speak orcish and is actually still learning common.

Mayhem*

My tiefling monk, child of a cambion and grandchild of an incubus (Inherited being able to switch between a male and female form). Used to stealing people when they were younger then became part of the same monastery of Icarus in Elturel, Mayhem arrived first then Icarus did, Mayhem was dragged into Avernus while Icarus was in Baldur's Gate. They're besties.

Seldarine Drow (Technically an Aevendrow) gloom stalker ranger. He a lil bitch, a lil shit/pos, he doesn't know who Drizzt Do'Urden is and at this point he's too afraid to ask.

Wait okay so I've seen the wip game thingy and I wanted to do it so here's my go:

2.twit twoo, my shifter/magic au, basically some people have magic but it's not overwhelmingly common, obviously all of 141 have magic (Price can manipulate metal, Ghost can shift into different animals, Gaz can manipulate electricity and Soap can heal and detect injuries) the intro fic is already posted on ao3 but I'll add more drabbles to it based off of comments I've had.

3. Mountain climbing- Tom and Beth Riley go on a walking holiday to celebrate their anniversary, but one of the other people on the trip are more familiar than they ever could have thought, but it couldn't be him because he died years ago

4. It's currently titled "mystery" but it'll probably be "mystery man" or something, basically a fic of soap being lent out to another base for a mission and ending up adopting a soldier.

5. Alerudy comfort (started in a trade with @the-starry-raven, but I haven't finished or posted it yet- sorry about that) I'm going for Rudy having a really bad day and Alejandro comforting him.

The Town:

Gravesend, hidden by the 'veil' and invisible to (most) humans. The town is inhabited by all creatures, Vampires, Sirens, Demons, the list goes on. Dana is the town's only half-human, and looked down upon for his mother sleeping with a human to make him. Navy is the town's only 'Shifter', a mix of Vampire and Werewolf, looked down upon by everyone outside of her family. And Harley, the first pure human, is a conundrum to most, Dana's the cause for him even seeing the town, let alone buying the only not-haunted house (for practically free). Harley lives next-door to the Carson-Harlow siblings, who take him under their care quickly, knowing that a human, especially a pure human, only brings hunger to half the town.

The Story Of Cora (my book)

The story-

Long ago, while about 1,000,000 years ago, humans and Magical Beings lived in harmony. Of course that was before the Salem Witch Trials. When the beings found out how humans felt about magic, they left, making a new dimension called Magica. The beings started to call themselves Magicals, and made a school called Cora to teach the kids

Magicals-

To put it simply, Magicals are magic symbols, from shows, movies, videos, etc. These symbols can be from the reason there was a villain (Tangled flower) to something in the back round that you can barely see. Some Magicals aren’t born but chosen, by the kids that are the symbols of the Fates look at your life as a human and your life as a Magical to see which one is better for the world. The Magicals that are born are the shifters, who can turn into the animal that got assigned. Snake shifters are very rare as the snake clain, mostly the snake king put the word in w@r. Another type that are born, are magic users, who use to be shifters but after the snake w@r couldn’t shift so they used magic to protect themselves

How to be a Magical-

As said before, the fates look at your life as a human and as a Magical, to find out which one is better for the world

Okay I am going to change this just a little, but only because I have a plot for raven shifter x Simon.

So let's make Simon a raven shifter!

Okay so raven shifter Simon. He's too smart, keeps to himself a lot. He's especially good at night recon - he's all but invisible at night and very quiet as a raven.

Working with the 141 is interesting for him. He'd long gotten used to being packless, to only working with other shifters when necessary. But he grows to like them well enough, and he tells himself it's enough.

Until a new medic transfers in.

She's not specific to the 141, but she gets on very well with them. She's also a shifter, although she doesn't disclose what type. She's very private, even though she gets along well with the rest.

It's an accident that Simon finds out her shift first.

He's out flying, just to get away from the noise of base for a little bit. He's gotten used to the local wildlife, knows what to expect and what to look for. (Not that anything ever bothers him - he's a big raven.)

So of course the gyrfalcon out flying catches his eye, because that? Is not native.

The two end up flying around one another, not quite playing but certainly not being aggressive. Ghost didn't even know that was possible until it was happening. They end up flying together a lot, whenever one of them needs a break and the other isn't busy.

Of course, things happen, he has to go on an op, is gone for a couple months. Comes back to find two feathers in an envelope stuffed under the door to his room.

Well. He wasn't expecting a courting invitation but he's not going to say no, either.
