Dc x dp idea 38
We know jack had a witch hunter in his family line. Let’s make him competent at it. Make him also go after other supernatural beings. He’s super good at capturing, detaining, banishing and even killing the entities. To bad he doesn’t care about any safety precautions.
It ends with the family line essentially being cursed. They were being hunted and stuff. The reason the fentonnightingales just turned into Fenton was to hide from the beings.
When Danny dies and comes back there presence is made known again. It did take a powerful event to become an halfa. Suddenly the family is being hunted again.
The Fenton parents love it. They have more entries to research and capture now.
Jazz and Danny not so much. Jazz ends up taking Danny away from amity to see if that would stop the constant attacks.
No one in the infinite realm gave and advice on how to get them to leave them alone. Frostbite only warns not to go ghost unless he has to. Apparently if the entities knew he was a halfa more powerful threats may want to attack him.
The two siblings are discovered by the JLD after a very powerful entity tried to attack them.
Now the two are basically hanging out with the JLD while they figure out how to fix it. The last name trick would not work a second time. That and anyone with any magic can feel the death magic on danny.
Danny refuses to elaborate on why he feels like death itself. Until one day a world ending threat tries to take out the siblings. Apparently fentonnightingale had sealed it away and it only just broke the bindings.
The JLD needed some artifacts or item to reseal it. But when it grabs Jazz. Danny goes ballistic and transforms.
Turns out most things won’t mess with Danny or his sister anymore. He one shot a super powerful entity and apparently had three marks of protection from the ancients. Those being frostbite, clockwork, and pandora.
Frostbite only told him not to transform was because clockwork told him not to.

Cal and Trilla are such an underrated comedic duo and it’s a damn shame we didn’t get to see them work together
Like hello?? Trilla asking Cal about the holocron, hearing him just ignite his lightsaber in response and giving the most deadpan, sarcastic “outstanding.” Not a day goes by when I don’t think about this. Fucking. Hilarious.
They would be such an immensely funny sarky duo of Star Wars just had the balls to give them to us.
We were ROBBED I tell you. Robbed of the most sarcastic, scathing comedic duo of the century. The sassy padawan siblings we deserved but never got.
The similarities in driving too?? 💀
IMMENSELY funny.
The annoyed big sister vibes and annoying little brother vibes I get from them are so good godammit. I deserved nightmare siblings Cal and Trilla.

Selfish Desires
Danny was tired. Tired of fighting, tired of running and tired of repeating the same routine day after day. Even Desiree could tell that the halfa didn't take her as seriously as he should, but she didn't complain. The boy had a rough couple of days.
That's why the ghost sighed and called for two chairs instead of continuing fighting. Danny didn't know what made him do what he did, but he told Desiree what was bothering him.
"They still don't understand," Danny murmured, his voice cracking, "I thought they needed time, I gave them time, but I don't think it helped."
"That's probably because you're the only halfa in existence, and they are humans" Desiree shrugged, "you know, neither Plasmius nor your clone are the same as you, that makes it a bit hard for them to understand you"
Danny was frustrated, frustrated because he knew the ghost was right, he was the only one who didn't fit in with anyone, so he made a rash decision. He ignored his own rule and wished.
"I wish there was someone who would understand," Danny said, allowing himself to be selfish, "or someone who could come to understand, someone like me."
Desiree looked at him curiously but shrugged before snapping her fingers. Her power was growing because of the wish, but she didn't really care. Maybe she'd go back to the Realms for a few days, Danny was annoying, but even stupid kids with hero complexes deserved a break.
A few metres away, a boy with a red helmet on his head appeared. Jason had just lost contact with his family and his satellite equipment wasn't working. He frowned and examined the partially destroyed city around him, where had he fallen?

duke and fear gas..NOBODY LOOK AT MME!! fuck a basic ass "He's afraid that his parents might never recover" u wnna know what has more canon evidence? he's fucking terrified that when they do recover they won't recognize him. What happens when they see their son who cut his cornrows, who has 3 new piercings and towers over them with all sorts of scars litering his body that he can't even begin to explain. Even worse what if they're disappointed in him, what if he isn't what they expected or wanted from their son at all? what if his mannerisms are unrecognizable, his speech patterns, his interests and so on. what if they'd rather cling to a version of him that no longer exists
being forced to watch them live happy fulfilling lives from behind a glass screen because he cant envision fitting between them after he's changed so much

Chance Part Two
Part One
Taking care of a baby, as it turns out, is not easy. Villain has absolutely no clue what they're doing.
Their recent search history is full of things like "How to change a diaper" "What do you feed babies" and "How to stop your cat from hissing at a baby"
That last one was probably a less universal parenthood experience, but Villain's snooty cat was not particularly happy with the new team member.
Another thing that Villain had learned within the following day after bringing the child home, was that they probably should have checked the baby's gender before picking a name. But that was less important, Chance could be a girl's name if Villain said so. Social rules weren't really their thing anyway.
Over the next few days, Villain acquired all manner of baby things. And also a lot of parenting books.
After several days of doing nothing but trying to figure out how to care for an infant, Villain realized they had to get back to doing villain things. But they couldn't exactly leave the child alone all day while they were out fighting heroes...
A day later, Vigilante stood in Villain's living room looking very unimpressed. "Where did you even get that."
"Her name is Chance and I found her in the wreckage after fighting hero last week."
"And you kept it because...?"
"Because despite what the news thinks I'm not a monster." Villain huffed. "Now are you going to watch your new niece while I make an appearance for the heroes or not."
"You must be desperate if you're going to trust me with a child."
Villain shot their younger sibling a look. "Is that a yes?"
Vigilante sighed. "Unfortunately."
"Great!" Villain passed Chance to Vigilante and started gathering a few things. "I'll only be gone a few hours. She'll probably nap for most of that time anyway."
Vigilante soon found themself standing alone in Villain's house reluctantly holding a bright eyed baby.
Villain's cat was on the other side of the room, glaring daggers at the child.
Vigilante raised an eyebrow at the animal. "Don't look at me like that. I'm on your side in this."

The hardest part of writing this kid fic has been deciding whether Andrew should be called dad/daddy or papa by their kid.
I had a mini crisis before when I was rereading the series and realized he and Neil predominantly use the words 'father' and 'mother' in convos. And I refused to accept a reality where they make their daughter address them that way, that's where I draw the line.
Neil says mother/father 99% of the time unless he's lying (like to Bee) or speaking to Mary aloud as mom. So Mary was definitely mom, Nathan ??? Who knows.
Anyway, mini poll ☝

I genuinely obsess over the relationships between marauders era characters. But my favorite obsession is Regulus’ and Sirius’ relationship with each other, and other members of the Black family. Because the complicated family trope has me in a chokehold.

it's 1:30 am and i'm thinking about how logan and rory both grow up feeling like their lives aren't really theirs. how logan uses risk and impulse as a way to feel some semblance of control over his life in response to his father's control. how in contrast, rory spends her life with a tight grip on just about everything, clings to safety and a clear path forward, because she worries that her success is the thing holding her and her mom's life together.

You mentioned that Freddie "found out" Joseph was adopted. Did it not quite click immediately in his little kid brain that his brown eyed brunette brother might not be blood related to him?
Nope
He just assumed Joseph looked like some distant relatives- he has enough of those- and somehow got their looks. He was a bright eyes kid... but also oblivious to a lot of things.
For him, Joseph has been around since he had been around and he referred to their parents as his too, so he obviously has to be his blood relative. He... didn't understand/know of the concept of adoption yet.
Plus, some few relatives sometimes visited for Christmas and they often remarked how some manners of Joseph were kinda like Henrietta or Gilroy (which makes sense because manners and behaviors are often learned) and referring to Joseph as their son, so Freddie never had reason to question why Joseph may look different. And his grandma (paternal- Henrietta in this au isn't on contact w her parents anymore) had brown hair so Joseph just got it from their grandma 🤷
