Second one's just a lovely depiction of Ghost and Roach's dynamic. Loved the banter and the second chapter ends real sweetly :)

The first one is an AU that takes place in a pub with Ghost being his repressed, unhealthy self, and Roach coming in as the new co-worker to sweep him off his feet lol

The second one is ongoing and takes place slightly after MWII with Ghost meeting Roach outside of deployment

All written by Call_Of_Booty, an og ghostroach author from wayyy back during the og trilogy (and ff.net) days. The first one's a rewrite of one of their old fics and it focuses on Roach and Ghost's dynamic up until the night before Loose Ends.

Second one's about Roach deciding to leave the SAS whilst he and Ghost have complicated feelings for eachother due to past hookups. Both great reads!

Man I can't even begin to describe how much I love this one. Portrays Ghost and Roach's relationship post-loose ends where Roach is now a civilian. Loved how the author depicted their relationship as not flawless. Felt very human and raw. Very sweet ending :)

Funny how my top two GSR fics are named the same thing, but hey, they're both amazing. I was apprehensive because of the "calling Soap Roach by accident" trope, however they really diverted my expectations and made these three really feel like equals in a relationship. Really love how they made sure to establish a strong dynamic between Soap and Roach instead of pitting them against each other. And Roach isn't just some 2D character here, he's very nuanced and I love it!

They ARE family and they’re coming to get you 😭 Also Polly and Yaretzi not immediately saying ‘yes, we are family’ - do they now doubt their bond with Mort because he left?? Tell me it’s not true. The ‘Unremembered Gods’ scene. Damn. Post-Starcrossed Gods, it all takes on a more complex depth of feeling!! What an incredible monologue!! 

📻 @monstrousagonies (105) The first letter this week actually made me make a sad noise out loud. I hope that kid gets to spend lots of time with the writer and have shape-shifting zoomies!! I also love the mental image of someone in a massive coat because they’re hiding their wings . . . 

⬛️ @blackboxpodcast SEASON FINALE!! (Disclaimer, I’m in this!) The tension is palpable in this last episode as Nemo finds some new accommodation - much to the distress of literally everyone on board. I love how spooky the altered voices are. Nolan’s real interest in what happened to Bly is revealed!! This show has been so fun to work on and listen to!!

🧬 Regina Prime has released a really intriguing trailer which shows that we’ve barely scratched the surface of the Prime iceberg so far! I’m so excited for the next episode! 

 💫 Wolf 359 This week I listened to episodes 10-19 and I’ve come to the conclusion that Hera might be the best character in anything, ever. There is something VERY weird going on with their mission and I am so invested in finding out what that is!

favorite video games?

Hello 👋

So many! My go-to answer for fave is Night in the Woods. The art style, the colors, the music, the writing style, everything about it was exactly what it needed to be, and it's one of those games that came at exactly the right time so it became really special to me.

Mostly I really like story-rich games and visual novels. Some others I love include Undertale, Sea of Thieves, Our Life, Outer Wilds, Life is Strange, Oxenfree, Firewatch, Ace Attorney, loads more that I'm forgetting about, if it's got an emotionally charged story and an aesthetically pleasing art style then I'm there.

Do you prefer the hero or the villain?

If you've been around my account for a decent amount of time, you'll know I have a soft spot for a well written villain. They're not always as monstrous as they seem.

I haven't read Malice by Heather Walter, but after reading the synopsis, I'm definitely adding it to my tbr. Sleeping Beauty retellings are maybe my second favorite next to Cinderella.
