#red hood is an ally to the children
Text
As it turns out, Danny makes a pretty good leader. His little gang of homeless children has grown immensely, both from picking up strays and from assimilating other gangs into his group.
Danny might only be 10 and still figuring out his powers but dang, intangibility and flight are over powered even before you add invisibility and laser blasts. At first he regretted sneaking into the lab alone to check out the portal his parents made in this basement. Waking up in a cold alley in a city you've never heard of is a terrifying experience even without the corrupt cops trying to sell you into human trafficking, but finding out he had powers and could do whatever he wanted? That was great. It no longer mattered that adults didn't listen to him or chased him around. He could do anything now. Be anything. Take anything.
He and the people under his protection often robbed places, never banks or anything but high class restaurants and stores that usually wouldn't even let them in through the front doors. Yeah, Danny can admit most of thier robberies were because of grudges the other kids had because of how they were treated but Danny being ten thought this was fine.
The real issue was Gothams Paw Patrol (who absolutely hate being called that :3 ) they were always on thier case, Dannys especially. They kept insisting that the system could help them -Danny called bull. No one helped him or Jazz back in Amity and it was waaaay nicer that Gotham- and kept getting him and his fellow kids arrested. That didn't really matter. Anti-meta stuff never worked on him so getting himself the other kids out was no big deal.
After overhearing a conversation between Nightwing and one of the other bats a kid came into thier current secret base announcing that Nightwing was poor and the other bats weren't. This caught everyone attention. Appearently Nightwing was trying to establish himself outside of the colony cause he didn't get along great with whoever the bats super daddy was, which was fair. A lot of them were runaways for one reason or another and knew a bunch of reasons why you wouldn't want to except "free" money.
This led to them fetching Nightwings "wingdings" and batarangs instead of keeping them/selling them like they do with the others, sharing some of thier spoils with him like the groceries, jewelry, fancy clothes, ect that they stole.
Dick even catches one of the kids in his apartment in Bludhaven filling up his fridge which has him panicking about his secret id being compromised. Luckly the kids had only followed him there and didn't think to check who was on the lease or anything cause they assumed it would be a fake name or something.
Just Dick getting forcibly adopted by a child gang.

Red hood feet dangled off the roof. It had been a good day. Most of the winter supplies were passed out, the new homeless shelters just finished construction and people started moving in today, they were much but enough to keep the cold out and get food to those that needed it.
Hood leaned back on the roof. He had some more hats and coats that should go to the colony in the west, too stubborn to move into a building, but luckily not stupid enough to refuse help.
Now to start on his night tasks, a new drug was making the rounds. It left the user unresponsive, seizure, vomiting, then organs start failing. In all one dose will kill you in 6 about hours. Not fun, and definitely not allowed on his streets.
New dealer had been making his way into hoods territory, sailing to Anyone who gave them cash they needed to know who was ok to sell to and who they lose a hand for. the rumor that-
A small body crawled onto is lap, shaggy black hair and big sapphire blue eyes stared at him. The boy had to be around 3 or 4. And is far too comfortable sitting so close to the edge of a 5 story apartment building.
Jason carefully put his arms around the kid. the last thing Jason needed was a kid falling off a roof.
"My name is Danny Fenton I was born on Christmas Day, I don't know who my datty is and Mummy's gone away. All I want for Christmas is for someone to take me home. Does anyone want a Christmas child of their own."
"I'm not Santa kid."
"I know Santa for the rich kids, and I'm an orphan. It's ok though cuz Ally kids have you, and that's even better!" Danny cuddled closer to Jason. The poor kid must have been out for a while he was freezing to the youth and definitely needed something to warm up.
"Then I'll do the best I can." Jason carefully worked his way back onto the roof before standing and placing the kid on his hip, some what glad his helmet hid his teary eyes. "While I work on your Christmas wish how about some hot chocolate. I'll walk you back to the orphanage."
The kids smile put Dicks to shame. Jason would definitely need to buy some sungl-
No Bad Jason no adopting black hair blue eyed children with tragic backstorys. You are not Bruce.
"I get a wish and hot chocolate! Best day ever! Thanky Mr hood."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was early on Christmas morning when Jason gave in. Its been two weeks since he dropped Danny off in a orphanage that looked more suited for rats then children. the kid had never been far from his mind.
He keep his word and had been looking for a home for Danny, but everyone who could take him Jason always found a problem with.
Yesterday when he went shopping he wondered into the toy Isle and left with more then the gallon of milk he went for. The gust room was now equipped with 5 new plushies a night light and a galaxy themed blanket.
Getting up Jason dialed the phone. It was far to early for anyone with normal hours to be awake., but he needed to do this now before he talked himself out of it.
"Hay Alfie, would you mind calling the guy for me-"
I decided to write this instead of sleeping sooo for give any grammar errors. Also merry Christmas Eve!
Mending a Family 6/?
Here, have some Batfam angst
Bruce
Crime Alley was mourning the loss of its hero. Bruce refused to believe Jason was dead.
Neither he nor his other children had been able to make any headway in their hero persona. In the end, Bruce went to Crime Alley undercover as a homeless man. No one had seen hide or hair of Red Hood in almost two months. Everyone thought that Red Hood had died; it never occurred to them that Jason might have left.
(He was alive; his son couldn’t be dead again. There hadn’t been a body.)
Bruce looked at the camera footage on the day of Jason’s disappearance. Unfortunately, there weren’t many cameras in Crime Alley, so he only occasionally caught glimpses of Jason’s red helmet.
(Why hadn’t he fought harder to add more cameras in Crime Alley? Bruce could’ve funded better security for the place. He had wanted to respect Jason’s wishes but look where that got him.)
“Hey, B, still looking at the footage? Found anything new?”
Bruce didn’t take his eyes off the monitors but answered Dick’s questions.
“No, nothing new.”
That was the frustrating part. Nothing new popped up, no matter how often Bruce looked at the footage. There had been no anomalies, no significant rogue attacks, and Jason hadn’t gotten into any fights with other drug dealers. The little footage he saw of Jason had him interacting with some of the women he protected or handing out bags to some of the kids. There was nothing that indicated that Jason was planning to leave.
(He left. He had to have left. His safe houses were full of dust and empty.)
“Bruce, maybe it’s time you stopped looking at the footage.”
Bruce paused the video and glared at his eldest. Dick put his hands up.
“I’m not saying let’s stop looking for him. I’m saying looking at the same thing over and over again isn’t going to help us find him.”
Bruce glared at the last clear video they had of Jason. He knew Dick was right, but he had no idea where to start. No one in the hero community knew Jason was alive again. Jason didn’t have any friends or allies outside of Crime Alley. The last time they had spoken, he had ended in a shouting match because Bruce had asked Jason if he knew anything about the disappearance of a child rapist over a year ago.
Bruce regretted many things in his life; not making things better with Jason was now at the top of his list.
“What do you suggest we do?”
“Maybe it’s time we brought in others to help us.”
Bruce frowned. He didn’t like bringing in other heroes regarding Gotham’s or his family’s affairs.
“Listen, I’m not saying we tell the whole hero community, but I can ask some team members to help. I’ll tell them to keep it to themselves. I know Roy would love to help when he finds out Jason is still alive. Kori can travel the world and maybe keep an eye out. Victor can hack into systems worldwide, and Raven can probably sense him. He has returned from the dead; that has to leave some signature.”
“Hmm,” Bruce thought about it before nodding. Dick gave him a quick smile and left the cave. Bruce picked up his phone and waited for the person to answer.
“Bruce, is everything okay?”
“Clark, I need to speak with you. Can we meet at the usual place?”
(Why hadn’t he reached out sooner?)
Tim
In another part of Gotham, Tim Drake was in his base of operation (fondly dubbed the Nest).
Instead of repeatedly looking at the same footage, Tim was trying to find if anything weird had happened in the city on the last day of Jason’s appearance in Crime Alley. Here were the facts.
Even though it had been late April, the weather had been unseasonably cold. While that could have been a coincidence, Tim doubted it. The weather started at 79 degrees F and ended in the low 20s. Mr. Freeze was still in Arkham, so he couldn’t have done it.
Fact two: his scanners had picked up weird readings he had never seen before. At the same time that the weather started dipping, the unknown readings had risen.
Fact three: the night of the anomaly, Jason had disappeared.
The three things had to be connected. Tim texted Barbara to run a test to see if she got the same results and also to see how long the anomaly lasted while he did the same. He was going to find Jason.
(His family depended on it.)
Dick
Dick hung up on Roy, his screams still echoing in his ears. To say that his team had been upset he had kept Jason’s resurrection a secret had been an understatement. Nobody had been as angry as Roy.
Dick understood where Roy was coming from.
(Bruce had kept secrets from him, and he knew how it felt.)
But he hadn’t wanted his little brother to be remembered differently now that he had strayed off the hero path. He deserved to be remembered as that sweet little boy who thought being Robin was magic.
It didn’t matter anymore. What mattered now was finding him, and if that meant being yelled at or reprimanded by his friends, well, as long as they found Jason, he could take anything his friends decided to dish out at him.
Damian
Damian frowned at the phone. His finger hovered over the call button. He noticed how Jason’s disappearance affected the family. Father was coming home with more bruises. Richard smiled less often, and they were more strained when he did. Timothy was sleeping less. (Though Damian didn’t care what the buffoon did, he just wanted to ensure Drake was firing on all cylinders when they went on patrols.) Alfred had stopped making witty remarks. He cooked, he cleaned, and he greeted them, but something was missing in the older man.
(Would they worry about Damian the same way if he disappeared? After all, father didn’t choose him; Damian was thrust upon him.)
Damian pressed the call button and waited for the answer.
“Mother, I need another favor.”
Alfred
Alfred stood outside Jason’s old room. He hadn’t entered to clean since Jason disappeared. Alfred knew he had to. After all, it was his job to keep the manor tidy and orderly.
His heart ached at the thought of entering Jason’s memorial.
(The suit downstairs was a memorial for Robin, one that Alfred despised; the room was Jason’s.)
Alfred took a deep breath and opened the door. He had a job to do. Besides, his wayward grandson deserved to come to a clean house.
Once more, I would like to remind people that I am open to suggestions and prompts for this fic. I don't have an overarching plot, I'm mostly focusing on Batfam angst, found family, and eventually, way, way, waaaay, down the line for reconciliation. So have fun suggesting
RWBY contains surprising amount of Norse allusions in the story (and funny part is that almost none of them center around Nora, who's primary allusion is Norse god). Everything from Oz being Odin, Beacon being Valhalla, Branwen siblings being Huginn and Muninn, Pyrrha being Baldr, Tree in Ever After being Yggdrasil, and so on.
However, I want to focus on Salem as Loki allusion and her Grimm hybrids.
While relations wise Salem doesn't make much sense as Loki (since Odin's wife was Frigg), Loki does share ancient past with Odin that latter is embarrassed to admit. This of course parallels back to Salem being Ozma's "little" secret he keeps from his allies.
Outside of that, both Loki and Salem seek to overturn order of Gods and cause a Doomsday. Loki also nicely parallels Salem's title of Queen of Grimm by being father (or mother in Sleipnir's case) of monsters that would end up causing Ragnarok. Those children being Fenrir, Jormungandr and Hel.
Hel and Fenrir were already featured in the show, being Cinder and Hound respectively. Cinder has visual similarities with Hel: Mask and Grimm arm (as well as her asymmetrical clothing style) parallel to Hel's half flesh, half blue skinned appearance. Both are also self proclaimed rulers that were cast down at very young age (Cinder symbolically, Hel literally). Hound, just like Fenrir is massive wolf that devoured Odin/Oscar. Their deaths are also relatively similar: Hound was crushed under statue while Fenrir had its jaw crushed by Vidar's heavy boot before being stabbed.
Unlike Salem's other creations, Hound and Cinder are hybrids, which gives them elevated position. If we go by that logic, then third harbinger of Ragnarok, Jormungandr, should also be a hybrid and major threat narratively. Jormungandr appears as either massive serpent or worm depending on the version of story. This, combined with current Vacuo setting makes me believe that we might see Jormungandr in the show as massive Grimm sand worm. While Jormungandr was aquatic being, there is no appropriate setting for that in the show and it would come way too close to Leviathan from Volume 6. So why not bust out a sand worm, after all, desert is sea of sand.
At its core it will likely be another silver eyed warrior, although I don't think this will be Summer. Since potential Grimm Summer would be an allusion to Red Riding Hood's devoured grandma, If they ever make a Norse allusion for Grimm Summer it's more likely she is gonna be a Garmr, ultimate hound of Norse mythology and guardian of Hel's gate (this could be a parallel to implication that Summer was the one guarding conquered Beacon). It's the only opponent at Ragnarok that doesn't seem to be referenced in any way. Garmr's opponent at Ragnarok was Tyr (who parallels with Yang) so it makes sense narratively as well.
Hey, Little Red Riding Hood, what do you say to this orange fairy?
I say- "This isn't your fight. It never was your fight. Your fight is with the people. You need to leave here and leave your top hat."
Jason Todd/Red Hood X Reader X Dick Grayson/Nightwing- Love Toxin (Part 5)
(A/N): I’m gonna start spam posting because APPARENTLY I’ve had stuff written for awhile and it’s never been posted... My bad. - Iz
Part 1,  Part 2, Part 3, Part 4
Warnings: Angst, mentions of injuries/pain, drugs, needles, etc. (let me know if I’m missing any)
You backed away from Ivy, trying to process what is happening. It was like she kept flipping a switch on you, taking control or finally letting you have control of your own mind. All of your stuff was either damaged in the fall or left behind in the path you took to get here, so calling for any type of help wasn’t an option.
You hated how this made you feel. Every day you felt yourself change, losing some type of human aspect. Fear was the reason why you didn’t tell Bruce, but your anger reinforced the fact. No matter what he did, he couldn’t help you. You’re all alone, stuck with the very woman that turned you into something you shouldn’t be.
Surveying the area, you noticed that the pathway you came from was gone. Your breathing quickened, the fear finally catching up on you as the severity of the situation finally hit you. Ivy finally filled the silence, watching you from the plant she decided to take a seat on.
“Do you know what makes a person insane?”
“What?” you manage to choke out, gasping when a vine forces you to take a seat on it.
“Repeating something over and over again, expecting something different to happen,” she said, answering her own question. “All these years I have never managed to defeat Batman and his group of children, falling into the same routine with no success.”
“What makes this any different?” you ask, the vine finally moving you within a few feet of her.
“You,” she responded, holding your chin in between her fingers. “Having someone from the opposing side never fails to add some… leverage.”
“If you think I will help you-”
“I know you will, especially when you truly understand why I do this,” Ivy interrupted, her grip on you tightening.
At first, it was just emotions flooding your mind. It ranged from sadness to pain, soon evolving into pain wracking your entire body. You were frozen in place despite the physical torture you endured. She finally let go of your chin, the pain dissipating quickly.
“This is only a small portion of what I feel every single day,” Ivy revealed, pain visible in her eyes. “I need you to understand that what I’m doing is to save the planet, no matter the cost. Humans cannot be trusted to take responsibility for their actions.”
In your haze, you couldn’t help but nod. This was never listed in her file, but then again Ivy was never the one to complain about herself. The file only consisted of her crimes, tendencies, and known allies. Well, the file that Bruce let you access. Even though she was a criminal, the very one that mutated you into a plant freak like her, you couldn’t help the sympathy you felt for her. She contstantly feels the pain of the very Earth that humans were killing, and now she was going to make you feel the same.
“I can’t just abandon my family,” you finally stated, flinching when her hand gently grabbed the side of your face.
“Oh, you will,” she smiled sadly. “We all know what happens when Batman doesn’t trust someone.”
“Just let me go,” you begged. “I won’t tell them anything.”
Ivy stood up, her fingers sliding against your face as she walked away, “I know.”
You watched as she walked away, her plants blocking the way as a new path is formed for you. Without hesitation, you ran towards the path and made your way towards what you guessed was the surface. Digging and scraping through the soil, you nearly cried with relief when you felt a gust of wind on your hand. Finally emerging from the dirt, you looked around and noticed that you were surrounded by trees and other plant life. Ivy must have led you to Gotham Park, the mile marker instantly telling you where you were.
Grunting, you finally pulled your whole body out of the dirt. Looking down, you knew if someone saw you they’d think you’re a walking corpse. Plus, in a city like Gotham, it wouldn’t be a shocker. Shaking, you push yourself further into the brush and hope that you would figure out something. You looked yourself over, your nerves calming when your skin was still its natural tone. Curling into yourself, you try and calm yourself as you waited for someone to come near you. It felt like forever, but you heard someone on the phone when you finally find the strength to speak.
“Help,” you manage to gasp out, “please.”
The person immediately stops talking, most likely hanging up the phone when they heard you. You look up to see an older woman, her eyes widening at the sight of you.
“Can-can I borrow your phone?” you asked. “My-my family must be worried.”
She could only nod as you dialed Alfred’s phone number, your throat growing soar as you waited for him to pick up.
“Hello, this-”
“Alfred, please come get me,” you interrupted him, your hands starting to tremble. “Gotham Park, please hurry.”
“Of course,” he replies, hanging up the phone.
You give the phone back to the woman, who starts to take her jacket off as she helps you get up. She shushes you as you start to reject the offer, covering you up as she slowly walked you out of the park. She didn’t ask you any questions, only holding onto you tightly as you exited the path. You were thankful that there wasn’t anyone else in sight, not wanting to have to deal with the stares and future consequences. The woman led you to a picnic table, taking your hand in hers as you waited for Alfred.
“Thank you,” you said quietly,  thankful that her hand prevented yours from shaking even more.
She responds by squeezing your hand gently, keeping an eye out on the road. You probably waited there for 20 minutes until a familiar car pulled into view. Alfred stepped out of the car as soon as it was parked, quickly making his way over to you.
“Come, let’s get you home,” he said, guiding you to stand. “Thank you, Miss, for helping us.”
“It was no problem at all,” she responded, making sure that you made it to the car without falling.
You immediately tone out the conversation as soon as the car door shuts. Exhaustion plagued you as your eyes became heavy. Giving in, you lay down on the seats and give in to your tiredness. You couldn’t fall asleep, but resting definitely helped with your shock. Even when you were resting you could feel Alfred’s gaze on you from time to time. All you could do was wait as you finally recognized the light hum of the garage opening.
You should be relieved to be back with your family, but Ivy’s words somehow corrupted your trust. Ivy made you hurt them, and there was no way that you could recover from it. The car’s engine lulled you to some type of sleep, a relief that you haven’t gotten in a long time.
You felt cold as Alfred guided you into the manor, away from the sunlight and into the much darker building. He grabbed a blanket on the couch as you passed it, draping over your shoulders as he guided to to the Batcave. It didn’t help much, but you were thankful for the offer.
With what happened today, you weren’t sure if you were ready to see everyone again. You owed them everything, and now you were on your way to be their next enemy on a long list of psychos. There was a lingering feeling that Ivy could be right. There were many ways Bruce could deal with you, and you were there in the past to witness most of them. With every second closer to the cave, the more fear grew deep in your chest. The second your feet touched the cold stone floor Alfred guided you to the showers.
“I will go retrieve some fresh clothes,” he said, hesitating for a moment.
“Did you notify Bruce?” you asked, placing the blanket down.
“Not yet, you need time to process,” Alfred replied, a small smile appearing on his face. “Take your time, I will be back soon.”
“Thanks, Alfred.”
He walked away, either to your room or where the nearest set of clothes was located. You finally peeled off the shredded clothes and tossed them aside. Hot water immediately hit your skin as you stepped forward, the dirt finally flowing off of your skin. You did take your time, making sure that every bit of gunk was removed from your hair and skin. By the time that you were done, a fresh set of clothes was waiting for you on a chair in the changing room. You placed them on after drying off, cautiously looking around as you exit into the main area of the cave.
“(Y/N)?”
You froze, turning around to see a bandaged Jason slowly walking towards you. Seeing what you did to him finally made you crack, tears falling down your face as you stared at him.
“Look what I did to you,” you sobbed, backing away from him. “I did this…”
Jason’s stare softened, “That wasn’t you, (Y/N), we both know that.”
“It was still me,” you said, your back hitting the wall behind you. “I don’t want to hurt you again, Jay.”
“You won’t, and even if you do it’s not your fault,” he tried to reassure you, finally close enough to place an arm around you. “Come on, let’s just relax and go sit-”
You grasp his hand as pain flooded your system, the same pain that Ivy made you experience. Collapsing, everything became hazy once again as Jason lifted you from the ground. You felt yourself hit a cot as your body shook. Something was stuck into your arm, and Jason swore when it didn’t work.
“Sorry, (Y/N).”
You heard him dig around until he picked something up, holding down your arm in order to insert another needle. As soon as he pumped the substance into your bloodstream you relaxed, your body going limp as the pain subsided once again.
“(Y/N), Bruce went to find someone to fix this, or at least figure out what’s going on with you,” he explained, holding your hand.
“I didn’t want this,” you mutter, tears falling down your face as you struggled to stay awake.
“I know,” he nodded, wiping away your tears. “We’ll figure this out.”
“Not sure if we can get out of this,” you sputtered. “Ivy… pain from… humans. Can’t get rid of it.”
“Hang on a little longer, he’s almost here,” Jason begged, his grip on your hand tightening. “He’s bringing Swamp Thing, he should be able to help you.”
“Reversing this is impossible…” you whimper, your grip on his hand loosening.
“At least you’ll be alive,” he stated, his breathing quickening when he noticed you were close to losing consciousness. “Just hang on, please.”
By the time Bruce arrived, you were already unconscious. Your skin looked like it was decomposing, your normal shade replaced with a barely green hue. Swamp Thing and Constantine immediately moved to your side, causing Jason to move away.
“Do your thing,” Constantine said to Swamp Thing, placing a hand on your head.
The creature’s hand rested on your chest, his fingers branching around you as he closes his eyes, “This one is lost, the power of the Green forced into unwilling hands.”
Everyone remained silent, worried that a single distraction would ruin his chance of helping you. They all watched as a few minutes passed, his hands finally retracting from you. Your skin slowly returned to a healthy green color, but you remained unconscious.
“Let them rest,” Swamp Thing stated, watching you curiously. “I will watch over this one, there is much to fix.”
“You can reverse it?” Dick asked, a hint of hope in his voice.
“No,” the creature answered, his red eyes never leaving your form. “I can only remove Poison Ivy’s connection and repair the connection with the Green. It will take time to recover, but your friend will not be the same.”
Bruce could only nod as he moved to the Bat Computer, only sitting down to process everything. The boys proceeded to sit around the area, still remaining silent as Swamp Thing picked you up.
“This is not suitable for your friend, they need the Green to guide them, not darkness.”
New Ally or New Threat?
To the people of Gotham, recently there has been a new Vigilante or Crime Lord on the block going by the name "Red Hood", this Red Hood persona was taken up by many (Not very original people to use someone else's persona).
Yet this one is different many don't know if he's a Villain or not. He recently has taken over all of Black Mask's drug trades and then stopped all drug sales to children. So in that regard, he's good but yet he's still an unknown vigilante that we know nothing about him.
According to some rumors Batman and Nightwing have been apparently seen trying to fight this mysterious Red Hood.
If we are to break down his actions we can come down to the conclusion that he is a Crime Lord with the betterment of the people in Gotham in mind. Although he is killing criminals and drug dealers he only kills the ones that don't follow his rules of not selling to children which we found out by bribing one of the drug dealers. If we are to make assumptions about this man we can assume 2 things A) he is definitely an ex-theater kid, and B) he has some sort of vendetta against the Jokerker and other criminals of Gotham.
I haven’t actually been watching D20, I don’t have the attention span for it. Can you recap this season up to the latest episode for me?
oof. um. this isn't gonna be a great recap, but here we go. (this is all from memory god help me i'm sure i'm forgetting things and having to leave out really funny and great bits for length)
sleeping beauty, the frog prince, mother goose, little red riding hood, pinocchio, and puss in boots all met on a caravan to shoeberg. (Destiny's Children is the group name)
shit's Bad and most of them are looking for people they care about and/or answers as to why things are So Bad And So Wrong. but puss in boots and pinocchio are best friends and conning rich people. simply vibing, we love it for them.
mother goose has a magic book (that he got from making wishes with The Gander who is a Force Of Evil trying to resurrect his dead son and he's got one more wish but it'd kill him to make it) that seems to be the key to this whole thing and it can suck people into it and record their stories, and he gets sick new spells when that happens
things go to shit on the caravan, they all end up together and needing to go find a shard of glass that's in cinderella's fairy godmother's chest.
first combat happens, total party kill. they all fucking die. but the frog prince gets the shard, so it's not all bad. they learn that it's a multiverse situation and they all get thrown into a new timeline where things are Worse but they remember each other and what needs to be done. they get red beads and brennan gives NO explanation
well, pinocchio doesn't restart like the others. his stepmom (the stepmom, she's all the stepmoms) is his fuckin warlock patron and instead of him dying and being in a second story he replaces that universe's pinocchio.
they all meet up again and compare notes, turns out a bunch of princesses (including cinderella, snow white, rapunzel, and the beast) are aware of the multiverse thing and how it sucks that they're stuck in stories where they have no agency. plus things are getting So Much Worse. it's unclear what their plan is, but they want to fix how bad everything is (they need seven princesses, including sleeping beauty), whereas the fairies (there are 8 of them) are more or less fine with how things are and want them to stay that way.
they learn that the stepmother is a horrific eldritch being who eats mothers. pinocchio cuts his strings, she's not his patron anymore. (uh-oh, she might hurt his dad about that)
mother goose gets a text on his book from scheherezade, turns out there are other people with books in different universes and they can communicate through it. scheherezade and her companions are stuck and somehow destiny's children fighting a huge fucking spider would help her out? idk i'm arachnophobic i had to skip all that
they go through the book (?) and end up in The Lines Between, which is sick as fuck and sort of... the central hub for the multiverse? it's super fucking cool. they meet scheherezade and aesop (who also has a book).
ally nails a nat 20 and learns that there's Special Ink used by The Authors (shhh don't say that out loud it'll bring Trouble) to write all of everyone's stories.
there are cutbacks and something Really Bad is going on with it all.
they leave scheherezade and aesop and go to explore more, oops the stepmother is here and pissed that they're trying to put things back to normal (she... eats stories? definitely eats mothers)
puss in boots nails a sick nat 20 and pinocchio's patron is now his own story and the concept of destiny itself.
the stepmother yeets them the fuck out of the lines between, they do some sick backstory stuff, learn that the baba yaga's HUGELY powerful and is why the stepmother is as powerful as she is.
they land in a heavily industrialized city. they go find the person in charge, the baron of bricks, and they lean he's got the big bad wolf, who is Death incarnate, chained up because military industrial complex, i guess?
they free the wolf, who says he can get them to the baba yaga, but they decide that first they want to go find snow white. snow white seems chill, says they need more princesses to save the multiverse. so she yeets them the fuck to toy island where they meet the little mermaid
but oops sleeping beauty accidentally triggered a spell that was looking for the little mermaid (princess detector) and fight what was initially him but ended up really being against the terrible dogfish from pinocchio's story. but they beat it, get the little mermaid's voice back, and make their way back to snow white.
they all get there, and the princesses, including the frog prince's estranged wife, reveal that they actually want to fully destroy the entire multiverse. blow it all up to shit using the ink and mother goose's book.
they tried to fuck up their apocalyptic plans by putting cinderella in the book, but it fails. so they have to fucking haul ass out of there, just a little bit of combat almost killed sleeping beauty and the frog prince.
they get out of there, leaving the little mermaid behind, but only then do they realize rapuzel and her freaky ass hair stole mother goose's book. so they're kinda fucked. but they keep running and end up in the land of giants but hey they're the giants
after a really cool combat, they find and free The Golden Goose, the gander's counterpart, and after they also get back mother goose's husband and some of puss in boots' old friends, the goose, because she and mother goose are one and the same in many versions of their stories, makes the third wish and dies in order to get mother goose his book back.
they learn that the princesses have gotten to scheherezade and have her with them and she's also technically a princess, so they now have enough princesses to end everything.
so destiny's children track down the baba yaga to try to get her help. miraculously, pinocchio nat 20s the persuasion check. they all have to give things up to get her help, and it's heart breaking and beautiful and watch The Trials of Baba Yaga.
baba yaga gets them to the lines between, murph rolls TERRIBLY and gives the princesses a head start for the apocalypse. taking us to the most recent episode.
combat with cinderella, snow white, rapunzel, elody (frog prince's estranged wife), the little mermaid, the beast, and scheherezade begins. snow white is doing magic with the ink and it's all about to go to shit.
they talk the little mermaid and elody into being on their side, dispel the magic that was making scheherezade cooperate, and kill the beast, rapunzel, and snow white. leaving just cinderella.
the baba yaga so far has helped destiny's children, but said she's the only one who's gonna survive all this, so. that's ominous.
the episode ends with the fairies showing up in the room. round two is going to begin in the finale next week.
and that's what you missed on glee!
Halloween prompts year 2 day 3
Danny smiled back at the elf boy. Ever since landing in Hyrule this guy has stuck by his side and did everything in his power to help him, even going so far as to learn English and teach Danny Hylian. If it wasn't for Link Danny doesn't know what he would have done.
They were in Hyrule field, practicing Dannys portal and teleporting powers to see if he could open a portal home or teleport there. He began thinking about how pure and clean Hyrule was since it didn't have a drop of pollution and how cities were supposed to be gross and polluted. So he began focusing on pollution, smog and filth, hoping that that would take him back home.
He didn't expect to teleport a city into Hyrule.
---
Five minutes.
Jason had only brushed his teeth and washed his face and in that time all of Crime Alley had been thrown into another dimension. Typical.
Whats more it looked like they were in a green grassy area. A legit apple forest was to the North of them and probably one of the clearest, cleanest rivers he had ever seen was directly East of them. God, he could see the fish swimming in the water.
What was most surprising though was the elf people. They weren't causing trouble per say, but hes definitely had to save some of them that wandered in out of curiosity. After the second or third one he saved he noticed a fence had popped up around all of crime ally over night. There were signs on the other side of the fence with some kind of official seals on them. So elves have political leaders? Works for him, he can guess that the signs say something to the effect of "Stay out" and it should make his job a bit easier. That and the numerous woven baskets left surrounding Crime Alley filled with fruits, veggies, cloth, clothing and soap.
Jason wasn't expecting some of the elves to get through the fencing to throw an unknown liquid into Crime Alley and then run. He panicked at first, thinking this was some kind of attack, but after testing it, he discovered it was just soapy water. He didn't understand at first but soon began getting reports from his men that anyone who wandered out of the city was being captured, thrown into the shallow water of the river, and scrubbed with long poled mops.
Rude. I mean, he gets that the elf people have probably never dealt with pollution, which means they never had to smell it, but still. Rude.
Red Hood gets a bit twitchy when he learns the kids who wander out get captured but chills out once he learns the children are never harmed.
The hylians are taking them in, bathing them, clothing, teaching them to cook and teaching them thier language. They are given lots of clothes and toys and the option to stay with them if they have no where else to go. Jason has no idea about this until a short blond elf guy and a teenage human twink talk to him and explain whats going on, the twink even apologized to him and explained that all of this was his fault.
i asked an AI about Batman's Children
Batman, also known as Bruce Wayne, is one of the most popular and enduring comic book characters of all time. Over the years, he has been joined by a number of "children," including sidekicks, proteges, and adopted children, each with their own unique powers and abilities. In this essay, we will explore Batman's various children, their powers, and their relationships with the Dark Knight himself.
The first of Batman's children was Dick Grayson, also known as Robin. Grayson was introduced in 1940 as a teenage acrobat who becomes Batman's ward after his parents are murdered. Grayson has no superpowers but is a skilled fighter and acrobat, making him an effective sidekick to Batman. Over the years, Grayson has gone through several transitions, including becoming his own superhero as Nightwing and briefly taking on the mantle of Batman after Bruce Wayne's apparent death.
The second of Batman's children was Barbara Gordon, also known as Batgirl. Gordon was introduced in 1967 as the daughter of Gotham City's police commissioner. She was inspired to become a crimefighter after a chance encounter with Batman and Robin. Gordon has no superpowers but is highly intelligent and skilled in martial arts, making her a valuable member of the Bat-family. In 1988, Gordon was famously paralyzed by the Joker, leading her to become the wheelchair-bound computer expert known as Oracle.
The third of Batman's children was Jason Todd, also known as Robin. Todd was introduced in 1983 as a street orphan who is taken in by Batman and trained as his new sidekick. Todd is known for being more impulsive and hot-headed than Grayson, which ultimately leads to his death at the hands of the Joker. However, Todd is later resurrected and becomes the antihero known as the Red Hood.
The fourth of Batman's children was Tim Drake, also known as Robin. Drake was introduced in 1989 as a young boy who deduces Batman's secret identity and convinces him to take him on as his new sidekick. Drake is known for being highly intelligent and strategic, making him a valuable asset to Batman. Drake eventually gives up the Robin mantle and becomes his own superhero as Red Robin.
The fifth of Batman's children was Cassandra Cain, also known as Batgirl. Cain was introduced in 1999 as the daughter of two notorious assassins who trained her to become a lethal fighter. Cain has no superpowers but is a skilled martial artist, making her a formidable ally to Batman. Cain eventually gives up the Batgirl mantle and becomes a member of the Bat-family known as Orphan.
The sixth of Batman's children was Damian Wayne, also known as Robin. Wayne was introduced in 2006 as the son of Bruce Wayne and Talia al Ghul. Wayne is known for being highly skilled in combat, thanks to his rigorous training by the League of Assassins. Wayne has a contentious relationship with Batman, as he often clashes with his father's strict moral code. However, over time, Wayne grows to respect and admire Batman, even taking on the mantle of Batman himself after Bruce Wayne's disappearance.
In conclusion, Batman's various children have played an important role in the Batman mythos over the years. Each child brings their own unique powers and abilities to the table, as well as their own complex relationships with Batman. From Grayson's acrobatics to Wayne's combat skills, each child has left their mark on the Dark Knight's world, and their stories continue to inspire new generations of comic book fans.
Stannis x Targaryen!Reader: Part I
pov you are Baegal targaryen, youngest son of Aerys II the mad king. to settle the argument between the crown and house Baratheon your father is marrying you off to your cousin, the harsh and mysterious Stannis. you quiver with fear as the wedding preparations go on, anxiously thinking about your new husband to be.
You survey yourself in the mirror; your father’s strength and your mother’s beauty all beautifully woven together. Long strands of silver hair fall over your back, streaked with gold and black, perhaps foreshadowing the fate which shortly awaits you. Your eyes are purple, with a bit of burgundy and your face is comely and sad.
“Baegal,” your mother says. “Yes, mother?” you ask, apprehensive. “My aunt Rhaelle used to read to me when I was little.” She said softly. There are dark circles around her eyes and they are soft with sorrow. You feel terribly sad. Queen Rhaella’s only joy in life are her children. She is with child again, you can tell. Your older brother thinks of naught but prophecy and dreams. He is occupied with his wife and children on Dragonstone, but your mother tells you he and his family will return to Storm’s End for the wedding. A foolish gesture, perhaps, but wisdom is not your father and brother’s strong suit. “Her son was delightful, when he was companions with your father.” She grows sad again. Your new husband’s father and mother, cousins to your own, had drowned in a shipwreck long ago. It is said that Stannis has since been a changed man. “His children…they are good boys. I know it.”
Privately, you disagree. But you smile for your mother and dress in red, gold and black, remarkably similar to the one your great aunt Rhaelle wore for her own wedding. Your mother says Stannis will cover you with the same cloak. Your goodsister Elia looks tired as ever, grim, but soon lightens up. Your niece Rhaenys is a delight and Aegon does nothing but sleep. You comb through your small beard and your hand trembles ever so little. The Baratheons are volatile, large, angry and cheerful all at once and treacherous. The Laughing Storm is not yet forgotten. Neither is your goodbrother Robert. Sure enough, he stands tall and proud in the hall, his arm protectively around the young Lord Eddard Stark, looking calm in his soft greys. The lords of the castle are dangerous men, having recently incurred the king your father’s wrath. It is said that they shamelessly caress and fondle each other in front of all their lords bannermen and smallfolk alike. Their children, some 5 in number are around them, including who you guess is Lord Robert’s bastard daughter Mya Stone. Another shameful practice, it is said that the stormlord was urged on by his lord husband to do so, who was of the North and no stranger to such unspeakable custom. Your father sits on the high chair next to Robert. He is unwell, as is usual. His eyes are pale and hooded, his nails overgrown and despite the grooming, his hair and beard look wild. Lord Tywin Lannister is noticeably absent from the proceedings, although his heir, Cersei Lannister looks resplendent in rubies and turquoises, next to her wedded, Catelyn Tully, heir to Riverrun, looking serious and grim. The marriage has been recently conducted. Evidently the future lady of Riverrun wants to earn the friendship of House Targaryen, so she has come, without perhaps consulting her goodfather. Then there is your brother, Rhaegar, next to his wife, who looks remarkably pleasant, Aegon in her arms and Rhaenys at her father’s knees. He looks as though he is not there. Off to Summerhall, you muse, and not without good reason. This is not the first time House Targaryen has attempted to ally itself with their bastard brothers of the golden stag. Robert was betrothed to Rhaegar the moment they were born and yet, at 16, Robert unceremoniously eloped with Lord Stark’s second son, who he had been fostered with in the Eyrie. Love, he said. Treason, your father screamed. He had raged and complained, and you could not tell how Rhaegar had felt. It was always so difficult with him. Next to Robert there is Renly. Seven years of age, the child looks very apprehensive and you feel a stab of pity. The poor child...fatherless and motherless...it was said that Lord Stannis was more of a mother to him than an older brother, ever since Lord Steffon and Lady Cassana died at sea. The child scarce left his side and at this moment is sitting close to his brother. You have heard talk that young Renly is to be betrothed to your twin sister Crossaent, though she is much too old for him. And there is Stannis himself. Not as tall as Robert, nor as bulky, but his presence is the strongest in the room. There are circles underneath his eyes, his cheeks hollower than they should be, his mouth creased in a frown. His black hair is combed neatly and his deep blue orbs are dangerously alluring. He looks at you. You force yourself to look back at him. Your lord husband.
it annoys me so much when people are like ‘oh all the members of the Batfamily grew up as only children’ like. no they didn’t
Dick explicitly had a brother in The Most Canonical Timeline, but even if he didn’t, a circus that’s going to have one kid around is going to have lots of kids around, there’s just no way he’s going to be the only kid around a bunch of adults the way the comics like to say. Either it’s a professionalized circus and Dick just wouldn’t be around practices/performances much at all, or it’s a generational circus full of families and he would be raised communally with all the other kids there treated like siblings by all the adults.
Jason spent a couple years homeless, and in that time relied on other kids and had them rely on him in order to survive, building familial dependencies and relationships he still cared about even after he came back as Red Hood. It was a massively interdependent network of everyone being the only one who really cared about the others, and all of them willing to do anything to defend each other. This is not even counting the number of foster homes he was in and out of and the other kids in them that he had to navigate as sibling relationships in order to figure out how to survive them.
Steph grew up in the kind of neighborhood where people are of necessity up in each other’s business, both because there’s no way to maintain real privacy and because they need to pay attention to warning signs of danger. Everyone knew her dad was Bad News, and everyone knew her mom couldn’t handle it on her own. Steph definitely had a neighbor with a similar aged kid who basically adopted her, and would always invite her over for a “playdate” and then straight up parent her whenever anything was too Much for her mom. Even though Steph doesn’t realize this happened until she’s an adult, well after they’ve fallen out of touch, eventually it occurs to her that the neighbor treated Steph and her legal child(ren) as siblings, and that’s why they never felt like friends.
Cass was raised by a man horrible enough to kidnap women and force them through pregnancy to breed his perfect assassin army, and had a whole passel of assassins around him at all times as part of this endeavor. How on earth can anyone expect he stopped at just one kid and didn’t constantly breed or kidnap more of them, forcing them all to live and learn and fight together? Even if he made specific provisions to separate them based on their genetics (plausible), he’s still the kind of guy who forcibly impregnated people, so he’d have a bunch of little baby hims around. Cass was just the most perfect soldier out of them.
Duke’s childhood involved him a) thinking it was on him to save his entire neighborhood and b) having the time to devote to that while no one else was paying attention and thinking that was the normal way to go about things. Which means that both his parents weren’t around much to guide him in learning because they were so busy, but that they socialized him with extremely strong community ties, in a community that trusted Duke back. Which means his parents left him all the time with a neighbor who was the hub of the community, a daycare essentially, but because the kids spent all day every day together basically, and the need to perform a united front was drilled into them as a young age, they thought of each other as family and therefore as siblings (for those in similar age bands).
Damian grew up with Mara being constantly pitted against each other, compared, taught together, and used against each other as punishment. They were each other’s worst enemies and only allies; they had no one to rely on but each other and they couldn’t rely on each other, but they couldn’t escape either because they were family. They were always around each other and that was the way it was going to be forever, until it wasn’t.
Babs’s brother was named JJ (James Gordon Jr.)
Some of my favorite Teen Wolf fanfic things
(these are very Stiles-centric and I'm not even sorry)
When the Hale family is alive (either bc it just didn't happen or time travel) and they take one look at Stiles and adopt him (bonus points for Talia using Stiles' inability to say no to mother figures so she can mother hen him)
When Sheriff Stilinski didn't raise Stiles (universe hopping/time travel/Claudia left before birth AU/etc) and goes "My Son!" ("But I'm not really your son, I'm from another universe!" "MY. SON.")
When Chris gets on with someone (optional: and they have kids) and Allison acts like she won the lottery bc more parents! (and in case of kids "I'M A BIG SISTER!" "Ally, I'm not the biological par--" "DON'T GIVE A SHIT, I'M THE BIG SISTER!")
De-aged baby-Isaac. Seriously, gimme all the baby-Isaac. Especially if he latches on Stiles and/or Stiles is roped to take care of him
Stiles and Derek (+ Laura and/or Cora) are both high school or college aged and have massive crush on each other, but they're both incapable of function and therefore communicate around each other (bonus points for meddling siblings and friends, and for sport mishaps bc the other one was came to watch practice/game)
Kittens.
Accidental werebaby acquisition. Okay, any baby is Very Good, but imagine the werebaby snuffling and scenting. Imagine Derek or Peter holding the baby against their chest and the baby planting their tiny face in their neck. Imagine baby growling and howling. IMAGINE ACCIDENTAL SHIFTING BECAUSE THE BABY SNEEZED!
Accurately written ADHD(/autistic) Stiles. Gimme hyperfixations and hyperfocus and tangents and special interests and "I forgot to take meds so I'm self-medicating with coffee." and "Oh shit I forgot to eat bc I got immersed in research!"
Alive Hale fam: Peter being a little shit and the most dramatic nerd ever, but without coma and murderous tendencies. I swear he was a theater kid and rightfully never saw the need to outgrow it.
Alive Hale fam: Hale grandparents and the gleam in their eyes when they spot a new grandbaby (aka Stiles)
Alive Hale fam: A swarm of Hale kids (and the absolute need of burying new packmates in a puppy pile do they smell like pack)
Alive Claudia Stilinski and she's the most Extra™ and Stiles is just a toned down version of her (seriously, I imagine her being bit like if Carol Danvers from Captain Marvel). Also magical Claudia and ADHD Claudia.
Alive Claudia and more Stilinski children! Imagine the absolute CHAOS of that household! Stiles would be The Best Big Brother™ EVER.
Stetopher Little Red Riding Hood aka Stiles as Red, Peter as Big Bad Wolf and Chris as the Hunter (without killing the wolf part)
Himbo!Scott. Clueless golden retriever with enough love for all (preferably not an alpha, someone else can lead so Scott can love everyone without it becoming a catastrophe)
To be continued...
