Ok, now for realsies what I actually have to say:

As I've mentioned a few times lately, our air compressor can't keep up with the flow rate of our envelope machine and we gotta upgrade. After consulting with two engineers, a more experienced friend in the bagged tea industry (shoutout to Kelsey at Cliché Tea), and confirmation from our manufacturer, we've found an industrial air compressor which will meet our needs!

Bonus unstressor: the model we ended up selecting costs just over half the one we thought we needed, hell yeah!

So while our original goal set yesterday to sub-crowdfund this aspect of our project was a staggering $11k, we're now able to lower that to $6.5k and we're already nearly halfway there just since last night!

Based on input from our Discord server and Bluesky followers, we found a super fun and adorable way to crowdfund our newest robot friend: a special Spring mini advent release in four variations so you can do a week of surprises or a month as you please!

These are SO CUTE, and I honestly can't wait to put them together. Each box will contain seven surprise loose leaf samples (you open the tag as you go so you can see the ingredients before opening the pouch, don't worry) curated to immerse you in a different Springtime setting. Your options are:

Each box is designed to set a mood, and will also include a Teaheart Club sticker and a recipe card for a paired treat crafted by me! The biggest, best part of today's news is this: the air compressor we're going to buy is domestically made, already in stock, and will arrive at our warehouse within days of ordering. Hell yes. You shouldn't summon a Ghost King

Danny had felt the weird tug to the entirety of himself and instantly knew he was finally actually getting summoned for the first time. 

He'd winced through the whole process, knowing he should have listened to Clockwork and changed the requirements now that he was Ghost King... but even though Clockwork had seemed pretty serious about it, it just... kept slipping Danny's mind.  Listen, it's not that he didn't want to! executive dysfunction is a bitch alright, and it sounded like boring ghost paper work.

And it's been like... months now, maybe even a full year, maybe even longer. People don't really summon the Ghost King apparently, and Danny has been busy! He has school, he's trying really hard to get his grades back up. At some point he just completely forgot about it. 

He's really regretting not taking it as seriously as he probably should have now that he's randomly on top of a skyscraper in some massive city he doesn't recognise. And the city is... for a lack of better words, on fire. 

He can feel the suffering he can hear the screams, there is pain, chaos and fear all around him. Like a physical force pressing down on him.

The sickening part of it all is that he feels stronger than ever like someone injected him with 50 energy drinks directly into his veins but at the same time his stomach is recoiling violently, extreme jitters but not in a good way, absolutely nauseous. 

He's not really listening to whatever is going on directly around him on that roof, that's all far in the distance somehow, maybe he's disociating, maybe something else other ghost thing is going on, but Danny is just floating there in full king regalia. 

All he cares about it is snatching the weird creepy looking grimoire and getting some answers. 

And answers he gets because its very clearly stated in there that the Ghost King (Pariah Dark) wants a tribute to himself. Whomever deigns to summon him must prove willingness to his cause. Aka the whole conquering and genocide and tyranny thing. 

Over five hundred deaths would probably do but over a thousand was preferred, even more was obviously even better. That would show dedication and earn favour and- blah blah blah. 

Danny thinks he's going to throw up. 

It doesn't help that that's when the heroes show up and Danny is very clearly the big bad in this scenario even if it was completely unintentional.

Maybe they'll let him explain? Oh shit, that one looks so upset they're crying- maybe he can just go invisible instead...

This might be the worst night of his life.

You know what I appreciate? In the scene where 2nd-dimension Doof forces Perry to reveal himself by attacking the boys, our Doof’s immediate reaction is anger. Perry being there or not, the idea of hurting children is a complete no. It’s such a subtle thing, but I think it really shows what makes the two Doofenshmirtzes different. It kind of sticks out to me both for later in the movie and even later in the show when Doof realizes he’s actually good—physically hurting children is a line he would never cross.

We finally figured out why our margin of error is a totally unacceptable 20% on the envelope machine! Our air compressor isn’t strong enough to keep up with the demands of both robots in tandem, so we need to get a new one.

It’s going to be 💸expensive💸, but once we scrape the cash together we’ll be able to roll out at the level we need!

This is our slowest time of year, so it’s not clear yet how long it’ll take us to save up for the compressor we need. Sorry for any delays this causes!

After defeating the lone scyther (Lansa did the heavy lifting), our group decided to defeat the other mechanoids in the complex before cracking open the mechanitor's cryptosleep casket.

Lansa is lucky that Tokori specialises in medicine.

Either that uranium mace is more op than I gave it credit for, or Jut's level 20 melee skill isn't actually that impressive, seeing as Randy Random seems to enjoy letting my colonists beat scary enemies super fast.

We're not here to pay respects, Tokori. We're here grave robbing, so get to it.

I swear that name was randomly generated. I laughed too hard to reroll, so newly-made Mechanitor Tokori now has a robot named Dr Eggman, I guess.

In the meantime, here's a look at what the others have been up to before we wrap up:

I bet Ivy thinks she's hilarious whenever she says "excuse my French" after cussing something out with everything Jut taught her to say. She does have the comedian trait, though, and everyone knows dad jokes are the best kind.

XiaoLiang might not be going with Mechi and Kwahu for the next leg of their journey, but that's alright. He still has Tokori and Lansa to crush on, and he's already testing the waters to see if they'd be open to dinner dates (they are not open to dinner dates).

Ah, facial hair. That reminds me...

I promised my brother I'd draw his favourite colonist looking majestic before the end of Season 1. So, here you go, brother mine. Maybe one day you'll see Flapjack and his beautiful beard again. We can only hope.

Obedience on the Sand: Training with Master Walid

It was a bright, hot day on the beach as I arrived in my golden drone uniform, with my signature RM Williams boots. As soon as I changed into the Golden Team's beach volleyball uniform—topless, golden beach trunks clinging to me—I felt the sun hit my bare skin. Nervous, yet excited, I knew this was more than just practice. It was another lesson in my submission to Walid, one of the Golden Arab Masters.

The sun might have been shining bright, but my focus was entirely on him. Master Walid stood tall, muscular, and utterly commanding. As one of the Golden Arab Masters, his powerful Arab physique glistened in the sun—broad shoulders, toned arms, and the stance of a leader that reminded me who I truly served. Every move, every glance, screamed authority. His dark eyes locked onto mine, full of control, reminding me exactly where I belonged.

The game started, and I quickly realized it wasn't just volleyball—it was submission. I'm athletic, sure, but keeping up with Master Walid's effortless power and precision was near impossible. Each time he spiked the ball, I could feel his dominance overwhelm me, his strength undeniable. His commanding voice echoed through my thoughts, pushing me harder, reminding me no matter how much I tried, I could never match his dominance.

My body ached from the relentless heat, but the need to obey burned stronger. Even as my legs wobbled, each spike of the ball drove me deeper into submission. I wasn’t here to win; I was here to serve. I felt like a machine—a drone built for one purpose, to follow the orders of Master Walid.

During a break, I was almost relieved when he ordered me to kneel. As I dropped to my knees in the scorching sand, staring up at his imposing figure, my heart pounded. His body shimmered in the sunlight, a perfect reflection of the power he held over me. His control extended beyond the game, beyond the beach. His authority had infiltrated every aspect of my life. I could feel it—every decision, every action, all under his command.

"Who do you serve?" he asked, his voice calm but loaded with dominance.

"You, Master Walid," I replied, my voice barely a whisper.

His eyes, dark and piercing, locked onto mine. "Good. Never forget your place."

The heat of the sand beneath my knees was nothing compared to the fire burning inside me, a fire ignited by his control. He didn’t need to say anything else. His presence alone was enough to remind me of my role—his loyal gold drone.

As the day came to a close, Master Walid stood over me, a satisfied smirk on his face. He patted my shoulder, but the gesture wasn’t comforting—it was possessive. I wasn’t just his drone on the beach; I was his drone in life. Every order, every command, every moment in his presence only solidified that truth.

Exhausted from the physical exertion and mentally drained from the constant submission, I realized something crucial. This wasn’t just a game. It was obedience in its purest form. I wasn’t here to enjoy myself or show my athleticism. I was here to serve, to obey without question.

As I walked off the beach, drained yet fulfilled, I knew my purpose was clear. I wasn’t just part of the Golden Army—I was Master Walid's golden drone, built to serve him and the team, ready to follow his every command.

And with every step, every thought, one thing became more certain: this was my role, my destiny. I am, and always will be, his obedient golden drone.
