I've noticed tropes are often negatively associated with fan-fiction when in actuality they're simply tools which can be utilized in all forms of fiction writing. Romance, in particular, thrives on tropes, being necessary to distinguish themselves in a pool of stories with the same theme of "love conquers all". So, let's spread the love around.
P.S. Please tell me why you love these tropes! I'd love to hear.

I want characters that know each other, body and soul, every scar and every shame. I want devotion the likes of which the church has never witnessed. I want loyalty that would make kings jealous. I want love that would make gods blush.
I want everything. I want legend.

Being on the aroace spectrum while also being a romance writer is simultaneously what I live for and what's going to be the death of me.
Do I know how romantic interactions work? No. Am I gonna write it anyway? Abso-fucking-lutely.
Like these two characters are too gay to not be gay for each other, okay?

Writeblr intro
Hello! I'm KAKi, I go by he/him and I write original fiction (I suppose if I were to find a fandom I liked I would write fanfiction too)
About my writing:
I like writing character-based stories, so my main genre is romance, but I love learning and branching out. I like having a "gimmick" in my work, so I often write fantasy because magic gives more variety.
I like writing short stories and novellas that usually turn into series. I want my work to be easy to jump into and satisfying to put down once you are done reading. This is probably a bad marketing tactic, but I don't mind being unmarketable.
I generally strive to write stuff I would myself want to read. This means grounded, soft and cosy stuff where most conflict comes from the world and not from the relationships. I don't really care for melodrama. I had a traumatic childhood, so I like seeing the characters I like happy and thriving. I also try to keep my casts of characters diverse and nuanced, feeling more like real people than characters. Is this an impossible task? Maybe, but I like having a goal to work toward.
You can find my Wattpad and my first book here. I have so far published a fantasy romance novella, a collection of fantasy short stories and some standalone horror short stories.
My WIPs:
You can find the post containing my WIPs here
Genres:
-Fluffy Romance
-Fantasy
About me:
I was born in 2002 and I live in Finland
I started writing regularly in 2020, but I have been a storyteller all my life. I lost quite a few friends as a kid due to info dumping to them about my stories too much ^^'
I'm neurodivergent and part of the lgbta+ community
I have a fascination with psychology and families/family trees, and I incorporate both into my writing
I would like to be a director of my own show one day
Why am I here?
I started this blog in hopes of finding new friends, finding mentors and peers who like reading/writing and getting feedback on my writing and how to improve the way I write characters from different groups and backgrounds.
I would like to encourage constructive feedback on this page as much as possible. As an autistic person, I find the lack of feedback in my normal life frustrating.
Suggest me things, ask me things, infodump to me about the shit you like, introduce me to your fav Thing and get me to make it my whole personality for a week!
When it comes to beta and alpha reading, I'm of course always looking for new ones as my projects move forward, and I will also do it for you in bite-sized chunks.
For anyone worried about spam liking/reblogging/commenting, don't be. Give me all of it. And feel free to tag me in any games, tho maybe DM me how they work first in case I'm too chickenshit to ask.

The paranormal lesbian romance novella I came up with on the bus today is called "A Cruel and Vicious Juliette"
It's about a vampire, Robin, who moves in with her dotty great great grandma to take care of her and help around the house, as well as to hide out from her shitty mortal ex (a witch who cheated on her with their coven leader).
Turns out great great gran's house is haunted by a poltergeist (who may be the reason great great gran has had some falls!! ANd making everyone think she's going (even more) dotty!!) named Juliette.
Robin and Juliette embark on a battle of wills over the house, great great gran's sanity, and also their own feelings!

I think I’m going to be trying a new routine this month. I’m going to try and read until I need a break from reading for the day and then I’m going to listen to music and write for at least an hour afterwards. I don’t know how well this is going to work out but *fingers crossed* this goes well.
I’m also going to hopefully put together two book playlists for two of the three books I can currently see myself writing tonight so I have no excuse to procrastinate tomorrow. The third book already has a playlist.

To The Romance Writers of Tumblr, Let's Compare Taste
After the last poll, I thought it might be fun to get real specific about moments and tropes I find myself coming back to over and over again. I figure I can't be the only one, so let's spread the love.

Asking the age old question when it comes to fantasy romance writing.
How do I write a romance with such an obvious and large power imbalance without it being toxic!?!?

artist: @monoidea
I'm sorry, but this is the prettiest thing I've ever seen. OMG. I mentioned in a reblog the other day that I had commissioned someone to do the cover for my story and ever since then, I've had the hardest time keeping it to myself.
I'm so incredibly happy with how this turned out. It's like the characters were plucked right out of my head. I feel so much more confident about the first impression my story is going to make now.
The whole experience working with the artist was such a treat. I cannot believe people trade that for keystrokes in an AI design engine.

Faye’s Writeblr Introduction ♡
Hey everyone! I’ve had this blog for a little while now and I realized I haven’t done a proper writeblr introduction. With this post I hope I’ll be able to interact more with the writeblr community and get to know some of you better, and in turn, you can get to know me as we suffer through this wonderful writing journey together. <3
Name & General Information
My name is Faye and I’m a twenty-something bisexual woman-child who’s usually got her head in the clouds or her nose buried in a good fantasy book. I’m a daydreamer, worldbuilder, fantasy lore enthusiast, and of course, a creative writer. I’ve been writing off and on since I graduated high school, and while I’ve been ‘on’ again since my mid-twenties, I still consider myself a novice, albeit a very passionate one.
Things I Like
Writing, editing, drawing, singing, animals, video games, storytelling, history & mythology, languages, learning about different cultures, personal growth & self-improvement, constructive criticism, making new writing buddies, writers supporting other writers, people who let me talk about my OCs until I run out of breath from talking so much. :)
Things I Dislike
Writing, editing, drawing, procrastination, stagnancy in all things (but especially in writing), nonconstructive criticism, writer’s block and blinding white documents judging me for not filling them with words, people devoid of empathy and basic human decency, when I get so frustrated with myself and my writing that I rage quit and yeet my work into the trash and delete it forever...  PLEASE LOVE YOURSELVES AND DO NOT  E V E R  DO THIS! :(
Content I Enjoy Writing and Reading
Mostly fantasy and its many subgenres (high, modern, scifi, dark). I also enjoy horror, paranormal, and dark-themed stories that explore real life human struggles in exciting, imaginative worlds. I consider myself a fantasy/romance writer overall but I’m honestly not too picky and will read anything that’s well-written and has solid worldbuilding + likeable characters. I love stories that focus on character growth and personal journeys, especially ones that have strong themes of romance, friendship, or that demonstrate the strength of love and bonds between people, regardless if it’s romantic, platonic, or familial. I’m a bisexual creator and every story I write has LGBT+ characters and relationships. As far as romance goes, I write gay, lesbian, bisexual, and straight romances with various genders and dynamics. I enjoy delving into many different themes in my stories, such as discovering identity, exploring sexuality, examining what it means to be human, and finding one’s place in the wide world.
My Absolute Favorite Tropes, Themes, and Content
hurt/comfort stories that rip your heart out of your chest and tape it back together
soulmates, whether they be romantic or platonic (but especially romantic)
enemies to lovers/friends and lovers/friends to enemies
supernatural creatures (vampires, werewolves, angels, demons, sorcerers, witches, warlocks, mer, fae, etc.)
experiencing, overcoming, and healing from fucked up trauma
defying fate and choosing your own path despite destiny’s enigmatic design
magic and magical systems, powers, governments, and hierarchies
intense horror stories, scary creatures, thrilling content that gets the blood pumping
exploring identity, sexuality, and finding one’s place in the world
Thank you so much for reading, and I really appreciate it so much if you reblog! Happy writing! 💕
