something something, Asha growing up in a world that demands her to be tough and fierce and angry to survive. something something, Asha not knowing how to be gentle. something something, Asha wanting to be gentle with her brother, knowing he needs her to be gentle, but just not knowing to do that. something something, Asha only knowing how to "tough love" her brother, only knowing how to command and force. something something, Asha wanting to fix her brother and not knowing how to do that and that very fact scares her to death. something something, Asha having to look at her little brother, knowing she failed him, only to know she's still failing him now, she still can't help him, she's still making it worse.
they make me feel ill. I will never stop thinking about them. they plauge me.
#(this post is based on the show. I'm a few eps into season 7)#(I still call 'yara' Asha despite not yet reading the books cause its the superior name)#I think asha is so interesting#like#she loves her baby brother *so* much#that much is obvious#but she doesn't know how to helo him the way he needs help#she doesn't know how to help someone who needs gentleness to heal#she only knows how to yell at him. to force him. to tough love him.#you can see she knows its not what he needs. but she knows he will die. one way or another. if she doesn't#she knows she's failing him. but she's needs him. she needs her brother. she wants him at her side. she wants him to be ok.#but the fact she can't make him ok is hurting her#he's been destroyed but she still loves him. despite the life she adapted to. the mentality she's adopted to survive. says he's a lost cause#but she can't accept that. even in the scene where she offers him death. she doesn't want that. she doesn't want to lose him#she lost him one too many times#ahhhh#and not to mention the rest of their dynamic#he's the true son of the family. yet she had to be her fsthers eldest son and heir when he was taken.#they're strangers. they've been apart for so long. they don't know one another. but their blood ties them so deeply#all of it. just all of it.#I love them so much it hurts me. they're so dysfunctional. my beloved little squids#asha greyjoy#theon greyjoy#got#game of thrones#asoiaf#a song of ice and fire#losing my mind actually#(this is all my interpretation of their dynamic btw. especially as the eldest 'daughter'/'son' with a baby brother. I just feel a certain-#way about them.)

My Darling, My Honey
Alastor X Fem!Reader (Part 10)
Tumblr media
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5 | Part 6 | Part 7 | Part 8 |
Part 9 | Part 10
Part 10:
Your head felt like it was splitting, you could feel your brain pounding against the outside of your skull.
"Ah shit... everything fucking hurts...." you can barely whisper out loud due to your dried-up throat.
You clear your throat and open your eyes, to your surprise, you weren't left for dead on the street.
Instead, you see two girls hovering over you. One held your hand clasped in theirs, and the other had a spear pointed at your throat.
"Oh my gosh, you're awake! Finally!" The girl holding your hand said, leaning closer to your face. The girl with the spear and an 'X' over one of her eyes squinted at you and nudged the blonde girl back with her spear, "Who are you, and why shouldn't I kill you?"
You try to sit up, but the spear gets shoved closer to your throat before you can move. You sigh, "My name is (y/n). I don't want to hurt anyone. I just... I need help..."
Your answer earns a glare from the girl with the spear, but the blonde girl just nudges her with her elbow, "See, Vaggie? I told you!"
The blonde takes both of your hands in hers, "Hi (y/n), I'm Charlie! Charlie Morningstar and you're at the Hazbin Hotel! We aim to help rehabilitate sinners and offer them a chance at redemption to go to Heaven!"
The girl you now know whose name is Vaggie glares at you, "Are you even interested in redemption?"
You look at both of the girls, "I... I don't know. I'm not so sure but... I don't have anywhere to go and I need help finding someone.." You trail off as you start getting teary-eyed thinking about your love, Alastor.
Seeing you near tears clearly startled Chalie and Vaggie, it wasn't a response they were used to when asking sinners to stay at the hotel.
Vaggie set down the spear, deciding that you clearly weren't a threat. She could see the look in your eyes, one she knew very well- love. Meanwhile, Charlie is sniffling and getting teary-eyed right along with you, "Oh my gosh, we will do everything we can to help you find that person! Who are they, how can we help?"
You look up at the ceiling and then look at Charlie with a weak smile, "The love of my life... I miss him so dearly... I know he has to be here in Hell too." You chuckle lovingly, knowing he'd forgive you if he ever found out you said that out loud.
The floodgates were blown wide open and Charlie started sobbing and wailing, "Vaggieeeee, VAAAGGIEEEEEEE, th-they! They're looking for their LOOOOVEEEEEEEE. IT'S SO BEAUTIFULLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!"
Vaggie walked over to Charlie and scooped her up, giving you a gentle smile, "Hey... (y/n), sorry about threatening you earlier... I gotta take Miss Princess and calm her down, and then inform the other residents of a new arrival. But if you need anything, just give us a holler, okay? You're still healing so... take it easy."
You nod as a smile tugs at the corners of your lips, "It's okay... No offense taken... Thank you Vaggie, and thank you Charlie, for agreeing to help me.."
All you hear as Charlie is carried away is the sounds of wailing and crying muffled sounds over the words, "SHE'S HERE FOR LOVE... WAAAHHHHHH, IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL VAGGIEEE!!!!"
You try to sit up again, this time, no spear to bar you from trying to move this time. Your body groans in protest, though it doesn't hurt nearly as much as before, but as you assess the condition of your body, you notice you have bandages all over you. They must have been treating you while you were unconscious.
"Such sweet girls... they didn't even know me, yet they saved my life.... I need to remember to thank them again later.."
Very slowly, you swing your legs over the side of the bed and with a bit of effort, bring yourself to your feet. Hands holding yourself against the wall, you make your way over to what you assumed would become your bathroom during your stay here.
Your hands grip the sink as you look in the mirror when a small doubt enters your brain. You didn't look completely the same as you did when you were alive, which meant you had no idea if Alastor was even going to recognize you. Perhaps he even forgot about you... since it's been so many decades since you've been in Hell. Hell, you weren't sure you were even going to be able to recognize him...
"Enough of this... I'm sure he'll remember me.. he has to..." you whisper to yourself in the mirror as a crooked but tear-stained smile graces your hell-altered face.
After washing up your reddened face from all the tears, you made your way back to your bed. A deep sigh left your body as you plopped down gently on the bed.
Though you can't help but feel restless, as you sit there, just thoughts consuming your head.
In as bad of a shape as you might be, walking around even just a little bit helped you regain a little bit of strength, so you decided to make yourself decent after you had discovered that there was a change of clean clothes for you in dresser in the corner of the room.
Looking at yourself in the full body mirror on the back of the bathroom door, you smiled because it felt good to not look like a hot garbage fire- even though you could still see most of the bandages, at least you weren't all tattered and visibly bloody anymore!
Another deep sigh left your lips yet again, though this one was filled with determination. You turn the handle on the door and exit your room.
In your head, you thanked whoever built this hotel because you were so thankful that there were railings or some type of furnishing to hold onto whenever you felt yourself getting wobbly.
You didn't know where Charlie or Vaggie, or where any of the staff or other residents could be, hell, you didn't even know where the lobby was!
But on that last note, as you wandered around and regained some strength in your legs, you started to have an idea of where the lobby was located because you started to see more light and heard some voices talking.
Might as well go introduce yourself, right? No time better than the present to start making introductions, even if you still felt a little bit like shit still. You felt even shittier just laying around, you felt like if you weren't on the go constantly- you'd never make any headway on finding Alastor.
So there you were, slowly descending the stairs to the lobby when you heard Charlie call out your name, " (y/n)! Oh my gosh, you shouldn't even be up right now! Are you feeling okay??"
A weak smile creeps up on your face as you start to feel embarrassed that Charlie is fawning all over you in front of what seems to be her friends.
You chuckle, "Yeah, haha, just feeling kinda restless and thought i'd introduce myself is all!"
Charlie gently takes your hand and pulls you over to the rest of the group that had been chatting while seated on various sofas and armchairs that were centered around a coffee table- no TV's in sight, just a single radio perched on top of the mantle in this living room/lobby hybrid space.
"Guys! I am honored to introduce you to the newest guest to the Hazbin Hotel, this is (y/n)!!"
"Nice to meet cha, the name's Husk, the bartender."
"Hey there toots, bet ya look mighty fine underneath those bandages. Better not give me a run for my money as most gorgeous resident! Oh yeah, the name's Angel Dust, by the way."
"Hi, i'm Nifty! Nice to- BLEGH, you're a woman! Ew!" Nifty said before cackling as she scuttled away to stab some bugs nearby.
"Well, you already know me and Charlie," Vaggie said as she patted you on the shoulder gently.
"It looks like the only one who isn't here is Alastor. Shouldn't he be back soon?" Charlie said as she pulled out her phone to check the time.
To her, that seemed like such a mundane and normal sentence. But to you, it felt like time stopped and you froze upon hearing his name.
Alastor.
Alastor... here?

❝𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞: 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫, 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧❞
Mizu x Reader
- Reader in this fic is of some sort of mixed or foreign descent, but this can also be interpreted as having any trait that would make them a pariah of sorts. Warning, not proofread lol. All spur of the moment.
Tumblr media
When you found the blue eyed stranger laying bloody on a lonely street, you took her in. You keep her warm, fed, and with mends on her wounds. Mizu knows well that there are sacrifices to be made on her path. She doesn't know just how much they can sting.
Tumblr media
Mizu can't quite pinpoint the most irritating part of the pain. The ache of broken bones, the sting of stabs and slices, the consistent ringing in her head; everything hurts, and she supposes that like every other injury, it's all par for the course. Small price to pay for revenge. She knew she'd have to rest at some point, but she didn't expect to be incapacitated, edging on consciousness for days. Every now and then there's a sensation like coolness on her forehead, or water at her lips.
It's on day three that she becomes lucid enough to realize someone's taking care of her. Her distrustful brain is immediately sounding alarms, but her body can do little to react in such a broken state. Mizu can do nothing but lie silent and weak on this futon, sipping medicines and soups when it's brought to her mouth and being patched, cut for cut, wound for wound.
The first thing she notices about you, her caretaker, is your eyes - eyes brimming with concern and care, eyes that catch every weakness of her flesh and seek to heal. She hears your whispers of "poor thing" and "I'll get you healed up in no time". And being Mizu, her first thought is...
"Why?"
She hadn't meant to say it out loud, but she doesn't rush to take it back. Why are you, a stranger, so willing to take care of her? Why are you expending your resources on a broken thing, a mistake that any other sane person would let rot in the street where they found it?
You only smile at her, and in such a way that makes her heart race. Gentle, patient, tentative. She doesn't like it one bit, the way it pulls at doors she's kept locked for years. Her eyes focus, taking in what you look like as you stand and ready yourself to leave the room.
"I don't need your pity!" She manages to choke out. It has you stopping in your tracks.
"It's," she coughs, sputtering on words, "It's because you're just like me, isn't it? You're different. A monster."
The look on your face is one of mild amusement, an eyebrow raised and the corners of your lips upturned. She's not sure if it's that or the confidence in your next words that makes her cheeks heat up.
"I am not a monster. Neither are you."
And you're gone, leaving her to deal with the weight you've left in her chest.
𓆩… . … . … . … . … . … . … . … . … . … . … . … . …𓆪
The days turn into weeks, the weeks into months. With so many parts impaired, it'd only make sense that healing would take this long. Most of all, it's your endless patience that surprises Mizu. When she reopens a wound by carelessly trying to train despite your cautions, you're there patching it up. When she expresses her frustration with not being able to take up the sword yet, you're there reassuring her that it'll all be fine in time. You're kind when she's haughty and sarcastic (which makes her feel guilty, and thus even more indignant), and this extends to others as well. She often sees you helping children or neighbors, anyone in need. You're loved in this town.
It makes her a bit irritated, seeing your kindness bestowed on others. At first she thinks it's because she sees weakness in your actions. Then she thinks it's jealousy - why are you, someone who would otherwise be an outcast like herself, so beloved by your town? How come it didn't turn out this way for her? But when she sees you cooking enough for the both of you and the family next door, stirring slowly as the food steams, she thinks to herself, god, they're even patient when they're cooking. And then it hits her.
She is jealous, but not in the way she thought. In the way that yearns for your priority, that seeks to be the only recipient of your sweet manners and loving nature.
It doesn't help that you've grown close, too close for her liking. There have been nights spent in each other's company, saying nothing but gazing at stars. There have been conversations in which you've both laughed, some in which you cried. Mizu's mind can't help but remind her that this isn't safe; the last time she opened her heart up, it returned battered.
But this - you - feel safe. You dedicated nearly three months to healing her body, all the while you had been patching up wounds the eye can't see.
"I'm leaving," she says meekly on a warm evening, the two of you sat in a field of grass overlooking your village. You look to her and she only stares forward. You suppose it's better than her leaving without telling you, but the pain is no lesser because of the thought.
You take a deep breath and exhale before answering, "I had a feeling."
There's a long silence between the two of you. It's your turn to watch the sun setting over the trees as Mizu looks at your expression, the hints of sadness in her eyes.
"Do you... do you really have to? You are welcome here, you know. You'll always have a home here with me."
The words have Mizu choking up and suppressing the sudden and unnerving urge to cry. What you've done to her in three months still astounds her.
"I do. You know I do. I was always going to have to leave."
Mizu is caught by another urge, the urge to take those words back when she sees streams on your cheeks. You sniffle and hiccup, and it's so much less pleasant than your usual smiling disposition. It hurts in the way no blade ever could.
The sun is disappearing, and she wills herself to stand. If she doesn't, she might never go. She turns to leave and you stand as well. She stops in her tracks when you tug on her sleeve. She faces you and you slowly, carefully bring a hand to the side of her cheek. When she doesn't flinch away, you lean in close. Your lips meet in a kiss that conveys words that neither of you have the power to say.
You pull back after a moment, your forehead pressed to hers and your eyes closed. Your voice is quiet, almost inaudible when you say your goodbye.
"Break my heart once by leaving. Do not break it again by dying."
She turns and leaves while your eyes are still closed. You open them to an empty field, your palm still wet with her tears.

What your Future Spouse will admire about you?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pile 1
Your reading is SO BEAUTIFUL Pile 1, really😭😭
First of all: you have a very feminine energy (high priestess) which is like kryptonite for man🤣😁. You see, the hight priestess have a profound connection with God/Goddess. She believes everyone has their own inner guidance to lead them to their true potential. And you do this! You trust your intuition, follow your heart and your instincts and this makes your s.p just go crazy, I feel like he is very logical and he admires your away of leadership, in your own away (doesn't matter if you realize this or not) you are a leader, you inspire people without even realizing it. With you, he feels healed, you just bring so much peace, calmness and joy to him. And talking about joy: you have a childlike personality, you inner child is very happy and free, you know when it's time to be silly (happy dance) and he admires this in you, you bring his child side and makes he feels comfortable to play and just be silly with you. I feel like my heart will explode of joy right now so I think that's how he feels with you, and this makes he admire you a lot because at the same time you are a very elegant, femine and wise, very responsible you ALSO are fun to be with, you know how to play and you have this magic to him. (He loves you so very much I just can't 😭💗).
And you are confident, I feel you have the mindset of "what is mine will find me" so if something goes wrong you just drive to overcome the obstacle in a positive way. When you have a goals, you work with very fierce energy to bring them to fruition (but the thing is: you do all fo this in a very feminine, gentle and fun way, and he just admires you incredible for this).
Signs: jupiters placements, Gemini, cancer and aries and number's 6,9,5 and 8 (I think cancer's placements are important because cancer's symbol looks like a 69 and you had this two numbers. Cam also be dates or months), books, library, education, parks, lakes and flowers. (And music!!!!!! Omg I think it's important to youu or them, maybe he'll communicate his feelings by songs)
P.S: I was going to pile two but I just heard this: you help them to heal his inner child in some way, and this is something very very important to them and by extension to y'all relationship.
P.S²: I was again going to Pile two- but here it is: he admires you for that because, I feel like this problem with his inner child maybe has affected in a negative way his others relationships and you, somehow, handle this really easy, you don't even realize actually (and I just saw he looking to any place in particular think about this and feeling genuinely happy)
Blonde and redhead for some feel here.
Pile 2
Finally I'm here, hello pile 2♡ let's get into your reading shall we?
Calmness. You are so calm, even in the worst situations, you maintain a sense of peace (or try your best to!). I see here that you have multiple interests and you try to balance all of them and other areas of your life, but you don't stress yourself with this. It's like, if doesn't work it's fine, cause you are adaptable and flexible (and he REALLY admires this because I feel like your future Spouse has a tiny-bit-tittie problem with control (wink nod) and you are kind of the opposite lmao, he see you having all this interests and priorities but... it's not a obligation like "omg I HAVE to do ALL" no. You want to do all, but it's okay if don't work some days, he admires you organization and the way you management your time and schedule. I feel your s.p like calm and stable people, he doesn't like unnecessary drama in his life and you just have this flow, if something doesn't work you just be flexible and this is important too: you think before make decisions! 100% not reactive, you think and go inwards before choosing anything. And you have a introspective side that he just loves too much.
I feel like you are someone who brings them peace love and very good advices when needed (after all no one likes be with someone who just complains, fight for every minimal thing, always need to be right to feel "respected" etc, he admires the peace bring with you.) I feel he deals with a lot of stress in his work place and when he sees you... it's too good, like a oasis.
Signs: poems, tea, wind place, scorpio, leo, sagittarius, venus, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune placements are important, numbers 7, 11 and 12 (can be days, months or house in astrology; 7 represents love and commercial partnerships and our relation with public, 11 it's ruled by Saturn and Uranus (definitely a lot of air sign) and talks about flow, strong thinking and important of expansion and 12 it's the house of our unconscious, fears, dreams and spirituality)
Pile 3
I feel like you give a lot of importance to material possessions, you don't act like "Oh money isn't important blablabla" you know money is important, you work to have a good life, to you things like good education, good house in a great neighborhood, travel to have fun but to also acquire culture and knowledge, good clothes with quality. This are important too you (is giving me old money mindset vibes and if you don't know about it, and I'm NOT talking about the "old money" from Tiktok - I highly recommend the "The Old Money Book: Living better while spending less" to you, it's very short has 158 pages) but you don't live FOR money, the money is your servant not your master!
He admires how you always seem to have a behavior like "this is only temporary and shall pass soon" when something bad or uncomfortable happens, and he really admires this. You have a very outgoing personality, full of energy and optimism (and you have some kind of sex appeal but in a elegant way), you are not afraid to work to have the things you desire, your energy is very positive and uplifting (I feel like your future Spouse enjoys SO MUCH talk to you, he loves to see you so determined to get the things you want and he has this feeling that you two will evolve and grow together.
Also: you are a generous soul, with money and with your time, love and affection and wisdom. Maybe you are into some charity, you are very loving and loyal and this... big turn on to them, I think it's honestly the thing he admires most about you, your personality, your values. You like a rare jewel to them.
Signs: VERY strong water placements, pisces, scorpio and cancer, moon, sun and Mars placements (makes so much sense because mars rules goals) numbers 6, 5, 4 and 8 (can be days, months or house. 6 its concrete and practical knowledge, it's also associated to cleanse, maintenance, work capacity and routine service's (again: makes so much sense, you guys value quality and take care of what you have so last longer, don't have need to buy new things), 5 it's you creative side, what gives you pleasure, 4 it's what we have most profound in us and 8 transition of life and things, ending of cycles).
Hope y'all like this reading, it's my first reading related to love and I'm so happy, I had so much fun doing this and hope you guys too. See you in the next reading.
Xoxo

Trust exercises
Abby, your friend, helps you with some of your therapy homework (just fluff, no smut)
-/-/-/-/-/-
It doesn't happen often, but sometimes before your scheduled meetings (since two adults need to schedule hangouts) you go to therapy, which means you come to Abby's place after therapy.
Sometimes you're happy, sometimes you're sad, sometimes you don't come at all, and Abby understands.
When she first met you, she thought you were the most kind, sunny human being - you were so nice to her, and Abby couldn't help but try to spend more time with you. You gladly let her and soon you two were practically inseparable - Abby trusted you, shared her worries and fears, even the stupid ones, and you supported her through it all. You were soft and kind to her, and you told her the stories of your past which made her cry. This is why Abby didn't notice that you didn't share anything from your present, not anything deeper than a complaint about work.
Abby knew you were in therapy - who wasn't in this economy? - and she thought you were so nice because you were healing. But during one of your shared evenings in Abby's apartment you both got drunk, very drunk, and you spilled something.
"Do you know why I'm in therapy?"
"Because your childhood sucked and your parents can eat shit for that?"
"Well, yeah." You laugh. "I have like, major trust issues."
"You?" Abby stared at you, even though she saw two of you by now. "Really?"
"Yeah." You nodded and even if Abby was super drunk, she noticed how your voice was strained.
"Fuck." Abby sighed, not really having a better response in this state of mind. "Do you want to talk about it?"
"So I can regret it later? No."
It stuck with Abby later, and she couldn't let it slide, so she talked to you about it. You were very reluctant about sharing what are your triggers, but the fact that you told her some things was already groundbreaking. (I won't ever ask for any help and I hate when people baby me, you told her, and it meant that when she bought you coffee you got literally offended - which led to another "you need to tell me if I hurt you because it's unfair" conversation, which led back to "If I could trust you, I would")
So Abby started getting more gentle with you - it rarely worked, but you always reassured her she wasn't the problem, which broke her heart even more.
But slowly, even through you shot her some weird looks when she took care of you in any way, you started to accept it. You started talking to her little by little, and Abby was happy - even if it was "holy fuck I cried me eyes out last night, kill me please" message. You shared some of your feelings, and Abby couldn't help the protectiveness she felt about you. You were so nice and kind to everyone and you were so lonely and broken inside it made Abby angry at anyone who made you feel like this. So she tried to give you everything she was able to.
One day you came from therapy, eyes red and puffy, your face empty and you just asked if Abby could cuddle you. Abby felt like she won life this day - won a glimpse of your trust.
So today you came after therapy as well, grumpy as fuck, which looked cute on you - Abby couldn't help her adoring gaze when she looked at you, even if you gave her a weird look now and then. It wasn't agressive, but Abby knew you struggled to accept she loved you for who you are, even though that was something you desperately needed.
"I have fucking homework." You told her and Abby laughed: you hated when your therapist gave you homework, since it was embarassing and you wanted to throw up.
"What is it?" Abby asked as she heated some food for you: which was also a struggle for you, accepting her care, but you were trying your best. These small things were just a trial before bigger things, and you promised to at least handle this for now.
"Fuckin' trust exercises." You sighed and rolled your eyes, but Abby saw through you: you wanted to do it, wanted to see there was someone you could trust. "You know this shit when you fall back and someone catches you? Disgusting."
Abby laughed and placed the plate in front of you, nodding when you said thank you.
"It's scary."
"It fuckin' is. And I don't want to do it." You grumped and Abby waited. "I mean I do, but I'll hate every second of it. Anyway, the point of this is, will you do it with me?"
Abby saw how it physically disgusted you to say it, and she knew it was your reaction to being vulnerable, so she just smiled: you hated being vulnerable, but she couldn't express how much it meant to her that you chose her to be vulnerable with.
"Of course."
"You don't have to, obviously-" Here you go again, Abby thought.
"I want to. I don't go to gym for nothing, I won't let you fall." Abby flexed her biceps and you got flustered.
You both knew you liked each other, and you flirted all the time, but Abby didn't rush you: you couldn't handle her heating the food for you, you were not ready to be in a relationship by any means. So Abby was waiting for you, calm and sure one day she will get to kiss you and you will accept her love.
"Thank you."
"And don't you fucking dare to do something nice for me in return, I'll kill you."
"...Fine."
You look so uncomfortable with the whole idea, but Abby knows you'll push through anyway - you are a masochist like that. So you stand in the middle of her living room, Abby is relaxed and just waits for you to go through your conflicting emotions.
"I'll catch you, I promise."
"I know that. It's not what worries me." You tell her as you fidget with your fingers. "It's so fucking scary."
"Well, you're not here alone. I'll hold you after."
You struggle again with accepting this, but you don't reject her - every time when this happens Abby feels proud and happy: you are trying to trust her.
"Okay, can we like. Start with smaller distance? I don't think I'll be able to do the whole metre."
"Of course."
You stand awkwardly with your back to Abby, barely twenty centimeters away from her - if Abby leans down, she will be able to put her head on your shoulder. So this is not even the fall exercise, you're going to lean on her.
"Holy fuck." You curse. "Okay."
You're so tense and anxious even like this, and Abby stretches her arms by your sides, letting you see she is supporting you. So you slowly lean back until you feel your back touch Abby's front. She is solid and warm, and she hugs you, holds you, and it's almost too much, and you want to cry. Abby is safe and Abby loves you and really, it's too much.
"I've got you." Abby tells somewhere in your hair and you break. You sob quietly and move away: it's unbearable. "Too much?"
You nod, not ready to talk and embarrass yourself.
"Do you want me to be quiet?"
You shake your hand yes and no, and Abby understands.
"Okay. Want to try again?"
You nod again and go a little further: if Abby doesn't catch you, you will fall, but not painfully. Again, her arms are stretched out and you take a deep breath before letting yourself fall back - the air gets stuck in your lungs from a millisecondary fear, but then you feel solid warm Abby who chuckles into your ear, but keeps quiet, even though she wants to tell you how proud of you she is - and you feel saved. It's strange, but the relief you feel is visceral and you want to cling to Abby's arms around you.
"Okay." You sigh, the anxiety leaves your body as adrenalin gets replaced with dopamin. "Okay, I get it."
"m?"
"Like. I'm so scared when I fall, but because you catch me, I instantly feel safe. What kind of pavlovian shit is this?"
"Are you suggesting we train you into trusting me by doing this every day?"
"It might work. I wanna do it again."
And then you get giddy and giggle when Abby catches you for the seventh time, the dopamin doing its job. Abby is happy to help, especially since she gets to hold you and be there for you and lets you see you are safe with her. It's a long way down the road, but eventually you'll get there, and you will trust her.
Abby can't wait.

Junker Queen x Female Reader Relationship Headcanons
Tumblr media
A/N: It's been a while y'all - boy am I glad to be back. Literally right after I posted my note about all of the stuff I'm working on, I got slammed with the biggest assessment I've had in my course so far (17 documents total once I'd finally finished it) and caught scarlet fever of all thing so it's taken a good while for me to finally feel well enough and have spare time to write - but here we are!
I'm so excited to write for my favourite built queen - this gif alone is makin me feel things. I'm going to format all of these the same way from now on with SFW and NSFW headcanons from now on. Ofc there will be warning for the NSFW section :)
I hope you enjoy anon despite the wait!

SFW Headcanons
Odessa is the kind of gal that isn't really impressed by appearances.
Sure, she has her preferences and finds certain things attractive, but that isn't what piques her interest.
For Dez, it's all about personality, especially if you're the kind of person who is merciful and gentle with others.
This doesn't mean you have to be a doormat, in fact if you stand up for yourself (physically or verbally) when you feel as if you are being treated unfairly or others are being treated unfairly, that's possibly the hottest thing you could ever do in her eyes.
It's just something about the Peter Pan types that really captivates her. Not just in stealing from the rich and giving to the poor, but in being self aware of your strengths and using them to do right by those who are not in the same position of privilege.
This is how she figures out that her little crush on you was not just a little crush anymore.
She overheard you and another agent talking about life before the crisis, and found out that you used to do volunteer work every weekend delivering essentials to the homeless in your city and how much you missed your community outreach.
That and she watched you sock a guy in the face after he attempted to grope your friend at a bar.
It's healing for her and her inner child and she finds herself looking up to you as a role model - she's aware she's no angel and has done many questionable things to survive out there in the wasteland.
However she hopes that now as a part of Overwatch, she can be better and similarly to you, that she can use her position to help others less fortunate.
Dez is fine with casual or short term relationships and has had plenty in her time, she doesn't necessarily need to know someone to be attracted to them - but when she built that emotional connection with you, that's when she knew she was in for the long run.
The best part about dating Dez is that she isn't embarrassed easily - she's very open from the beginning which means conversation flows naturally with her. The downside of this is that for the first few months of being together, getting to sleep was nearly impossible, three am deep conversations just hit different.
This also means if you ever need anything, she is more than happy to accommodate.
Sick? She keeps note of the medication you need and when you need to take it so she can make sure you take it (and bring you water in your comfort water bottle to boot). That time of the month? If somehow the stash of your preferred products are out, she knows what you use - she will get you more without you even needing to ask (she will however check if you crave anything in particular on the way out).
Expect to be doing the same for her when she gets sick - she becomes the biggest needy baby when she's not feeling well.
She's stuck in bed? Yep. So are you.
Not even by choice either, she cages you with her arms and well that's that. There's no fighting this goliath of a woman.
Loves her cuddles - all positions.
Her favourite is being the little spoon though. It's not often that she gets to feel protected and cocooned (can you really blame her).
Loves PDA - particularly keeping an arm around your waist or you attached to her arm at all times, though she's known to do a casual steamy kiss in public when she's feeling particularly jealous.
If you're not one for PDA, she respects that boundary... However she will pout at you with those big red puppy dog eyes.
Absolutely hopeless at cooking and baking though not for lack of trying. Wakes you up regularly cursing about burning her toast.
Of course it's not all sunshine and rainbows.
Speaking of waking you up, Dez has nightmares somewhat regularly.
She's always so thankful to have you there to vent to if she needs it and cuddle with until she's calm enough to fall back asleep.
NSFW CONTENT WARNING
NSFW Headcanons (18+)
Sex to Odessa is powerplay, a safe space to be strong and vulnerable all in one.
Hard dom top - that control means everything to her.
This woman loves a good scrap (duh), if you choose to be a bratty sub, she eats that shit up.
Go ahead, try and buck her off of you, she's not even using half her strength. She can hold you down much harder.
Expect to be begging for mercy.
The two of you develop a safe word very early on in your relationship, Odessa would never forgive herself if she pushed you past your limit.
Definitely has and regularly uses an appropriately sized strap (ouch).
Dez has her kinks. Sex between the two of you is rarely vanilla unless other feelings are involved. She's entuned to what you need and your emotions, she knows when you need the gentler and less complicated sex or when you honestly just need someone to hold you.
That being said, she has a reasonably high sex drive. She can manage on her own if you can't or don't feel like it, but say the words and honestly she's ready when you are.
Though she really would prefer you called her Dez, Odessa, babe - really anything other than her title outside of the bedroom, call her your queen between the sheets - she'll go berserk.
Dabbles in pain play, something of an every now and then addition to the bedroom, it's not something she needs and the both of you really have to be in the mood for the more intensive side of sex. She does however love to see you take Gracie's hilt in every hole.
Unless you'd consider overstimulation a form of pain play. There is nothing she loves more than watching you struggle and beg with tears leaking from your eyes, completely at her mercy.
Light bondage when she doesn't feel like physically restraining you herself.
Claims your face as her throne whenever the mood strikes.
Speaking of claiming, your neck, collarbone and tits are never safe from her demanding mouth.
There aren't really many kinks that Dez would feel uncomfortable with, she would try pretty much anything before she knocks it.
Definite no though - I feel like she'd laugh at ironically calling her 'mommy'/'mummy', especially if you have a different accent, but considering her complicated family past, it just hits a little too close to home to take it seriously especially during sex.
Obviously amazing at foreplay, she knows what she likes which makes it so much easier from the start (not to mention her cheekily buying vibrating piercings just to mess with you) but honestly the best part is that she's enjoying herself just as much as you.
It's all give and take with Dez, you give as much as you get.

Hey, first time request! Recently I watched an anime called My Happy Marriage and I was wondering if I could request Dazai, Chuuya, Kunikida, Fukuzawa, Ranpo, Akutagawa and Fyodor with the reader who has a personality and history similar to Miyo Saimori? How would the BSD characters help the reader?
Here is the information about the character and anime: https://my-happy-marriage.fandom.com/wiki/Miyo_Saimori#cite_note-novel-v1-1-1
P.S: I recommend you watch the anime before making my request so that you will understand the characters and the plot.
Thank you!
hii dear♡ unfortunately I had no time to watch the anime cuz my schedule has been packed these days. but I read Miyo's backstory in the manga and on wikifandom so I'm quite sure I got the main idea ^^
so reader is gonna have her backstory, personality and ability but she's just in a relationship with the bsd guys, not an arranged marriage. I really hope you like it♡♡

𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒓𝒆: fluff♡

Dazai is a very perceptive individual. he could tell from the second the two of you met that there was something different about you. still, he doesn't bring it up until you got closer
when you decided to tell him everything about your past; how you've never been loved by your family, how you've always tried to prove yourself to them but it was all for nothing. how you've always felt like you weren't good enough; he's surprisingly understanding
as someone who has never felt love he gets you. of course he doesn't dare compare his past to yours
Dazai is such a supportive partner. it's the little things for him like telling you you're appreciated and loved and surprising you with gifts (when he actually has money lmao)
he doesn't strike me as the type of partner who pushes all the "but how can you think so lowly of yourself? you're amazing" on you. he knows fully well that healing is a long process but he's ready to support you all the way
when you're having especially tough time, and not only with your family but also in general, he's always there for you.
best cuddle sessions when you're sad
tries his best to show you the love you never had and get you out of your shell (ofc he does, he's an extrovert)
as for your ability I don't feel like it would matter too much for him. of course, he finds it impressive but in the end, he love you for who you are, not for your ability.
you both end up healing each other; you show him kindness and he makes you see your worth. so overall it's a healthy relationship♡
𝑪𝒉𝒖𝒚𝒂
he gets so mad when you tell him about your past. he's angry because he really cannot understand how your family could ever treat you like this
he's honestly surprised that you're so kind and gentle, considering what you've been through
calls your sister a bitch for sure. but after you tell him to stop he doesn't do it anymore
showers you with love in all shapes and forms. you wanna have a nice chat over a glass of wine? sure. he saw you looking at a kimono while the two of you were out on a date? he gets it for you.
very supportive overall although he may not be able to express his feelings sometimes.
let's just pray he never meets your family💀
reassures you a lot and really tries to show you that you're appreciated. you always feel loved when you're with him
𝑲𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒌𝒊𝒅𝒂
this neon green flag of a man will listen to you talk about your past and keep a straight face. but deep inside he feels like crying
he's a man of strong morals so naturally he's mad at the injustice of your family
very reassuring and patient, he gives the best words of affirmation and always makes sure you feel appreciated
as for your ability he does think it's powerful. and if you work for the ADA he's sure to keep you as safe as possible
feels a deep need to shelter you from every bad thing in the world because honestly, you've been through enough
God forbid you ever have a fight. he'll cry himself to sleep
tries his best to always remind you that you're loved and that your past doesn't define you and that you don't need to prove yourself to him in any way
overall GREEN FLAG
𝑨𝒌𝒖𝒕𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒘𝒂
oh boy
when you tell him about your past and the things your family did he just sits there like: 😐
Akutagawa knows very well the pain of never feeling good enough and always needing to please others
you bond a lot over your traumatic childhoods althought it takes him a while to open up
he's not too god (he's downright terrible) at talking and reassuring you with words of affirmation. so he'll show you that you're cared for through little kind gestures like brewing you tea in the morning, bringing you snacks after his missions and spending time with you
at first he thinks your ability is weak cuz it's not useful in combat. but when he actually realises what you can do he holds such respect for you like hands down. somehow he also feels a but thretened by your power?? in a way?? but he gets over it
little by little you both fully open up to each other. your gentle personality really soothes his soul
so just like with Dazai, you help each other heal and have an overall healthy relationship♡
𝑹𝒂𝒏𝒑𝒐
speaking of perceptive...
he probably deduced your trooma✨️ after a simple chat. but then again you tell him everything at some point
he's really supportive and caring. sometimes he may come across as too pushy, like forcing you to get out of your shell and meet his friends and be more open about your feelings, but he means well
really sweet and gentle when you're in private. you can talk openly to him about anything he will listen
"Oh? You feel like you're not good enough for me? Nuh uh"
Ranpo may seem childish and playful most of the time but he's actually thoughtful
always shares your candy with you to show you how much he cares
I do see him asking Poe to write a novel describing the perfect date place. and then takes you on that perfect date yk. he's smooth like that
being with you makes him act more mature and serious. because he is serious about you. he truly wants to show you the love you never had and make you feel worthy of yourself
𝑭𝒖𝒌𝒖𝒛𝒂𝒘𝒂
another green flag
you can see his smile slowly fade away when you tell him everything about your past
when you're done he hugs you so tightly♡
making sure you're appreciated is one of his number one priorities now
ofc he doesn't mind that you're shy. always reassures you that you can take things slow and fully open up to each other and all. he's really sweet
if you weren't his partner and just a member of the ADA he'd be your father figure. but that's not the case
makes you feel cared for with acts of service and quality time. although he's busy at the Agency he always makes time to go on dates with you or simply spend time in the comfort of your home
🙏🙏 best words of affirmation
he feels the need to protect you. Fukuzawa is very much aware of the fact that your ability makes you a target. many people could take advantage of it. so he wants to keep you safe
he does his utmost to be reassuring and offer you support whenever you need it. and helps you heal and learn to love yourself.
𝑭𝒚𝒐𝒅𝒐𝒓
this man... when I tell you he only wanted you for your ability at first
but somehow he realises that there's more to you than just your power. little by little he grows fond of you; and curious
when you tell him about your past he's disappointed but not surprised. he knows how cruel people can be
still, after that he treats you more like a human being and when you do end up together he's surprisingly gentle
Fyodor is lowkey forced to change his attitude towards you. to be kind and good. to show you that you're loved because it really pains him to see you suffer
I see him brewing you tea, cuddling with you while you read a book together and playing the cello to cheer you up when you're sad or simply need to unwind
being with him may not be the easiest. he's cold and distant sometimes but he does his best to reassure you that you're worhty, loved and precious (and not only because of your ability)
STILL if you ever get into a fight he won't hesitate to use your past against you. but he will regret it the second he sees how your face drops. so he apologises

Goodbye and thanks for all the love 。o○♡
So here we are. After five fantastic weeks, it's time to say goodbye to Nomoto, Kasuga, Yako and Nagumo. I miss them already, even though I don't think any of them will truly leave me for a good, long while.
Tumblr media
This show is just beautiful. It may seem unassuming, quiet and more leisurely than a lot of other shows but it's worth the watch. I can only recommend it - I said it before, but do yourself this favor. I think everyone can find something healing and comforting in this story of gentle, caring people being kind to each other. In the messages it shares with you with a tenderness and reassurance that made me soft.
Watch the show for how it tells you that not following the expected path society and family have for you may come with struggles but it's still worth it, that you need to go after your happiness and that there will be people here for you through it. That it's never too late to do those things that will make you happy.
For the way it gently takes your hand and tells you that yes, there are challenges, and hard times, and difficult emotions, and pain, but that there is kindness and there is love, too - and that will help. For how it reminds you that you have to be a little selfish to sustain love, be it platonic or romantic, accepting help and voicing your need and reaching out to hang out. And yet, that you are not a burden. That the people who love you want to spend time with you, to do things you will love, to cook for you and share a meal.
Watch it for so many more reason, because I honestly think everyone will find something in there that resonate with them and their experience, that may even help them feel seen.
On a more personal note, as someone who lives far away from their family and doesn't have a lot of people around them IRL (let alone other queer people), it felt so healing to see Nomoto and Kasuga, who are about my age, have those realizations a little later in life, and find those connections anyway. To follow Nomoto discovering herself and to see her be assured that there is not right or wrong way to be who she is and that she knows what label fits her. To see Kasuga slowly opening herself to new experiences. To watch them fall in love and make new friends and build their life and their family the way that makes them happy and fulfilled. All of this brought me such comfort and gave me so much hope that things will be ok.
Tumblr media
So goodbye ladies, but hopefully not farewell. I hope we get to see more of you, of your little family and your friends, of that new start we are ending this part of the story on. Thank you @furritsubs for making this available to those of us who don't speak Japanese (and for all the little cultural and culinary notes along the way, they truly enhanced the experience!~♡).
And to the show itself and everyone who made it... Thank you for those stories, thank you for the kindness with which everyone is treated, thank you for the warmth, the gentleness, the ever present love.
And most of all, thank you for the hope.

Twenty
As the second therapy session with Calliope gets underway, she opens with a warm smile, “Let's start with the assignment from our previous meeting. Were you both able to write and share your letters?”
You and Wanda share a quick glance before you respond with an enthusiastic, “Yeah, we did.”
You both can't help but beam, a sense of accomplishment clearly reflected in your faces.
“That's great to hear,” Calliope says warmly, her eyes crinkling at the corners. “Tell me about the experience. How did it feel to be so open with each other?”
You glance at Wanda, who gives a small nod to signal she'll take the lead. She inhales deeply, her gaze momentarily darting to you before returning to Calliope.
“It was, you know... really special. Romantic,” Wanda confesses, a soft blush creeping onto her cheeks as she feels a bit silly, like a teenager raving about a crush. Her fingers absentmindedly twirl in loops on her knees. “I mean, it wasn't a promise or anything, but being able to understand just how deeply she cares for me... it made my heart feel full, in the best way.”
Calliope's attention then shifts to you, her body language encouraging and patient as she waits for you to share your thoughts.
After a thoughtful pause, you answer, “It felt like unshackling myself. Putting all my feelings into words, it was like shedding some weight off my shoulders. And reading what Wanda wrote…” You pause, turning to look at Wanda, a gentle warmth lighting up your eyes. “It... It grounded me. Reminded me of why we are doing this, why we're trying to fix things in the middle of all this confusion... It's because we love each other.”
“I must say, I'm incredibly moved by the strides you both have made,” Calliope says. She then subtly changes her posture, turning to focus more directly on Wanda.
“Now that we've started delving into Y/N's trust issues, it's only fair that we address your feelings too, Wanda. So, let's talk about your trust in Y/N. How are you feeling about that?” Calliope asks.
A flicker of surprise crosses your face, reflected in Wanda's as well. The room falls into a hushed pause as Wanda processes the question, her brow creased in deep thought. The possibility of Wanda having her own trust issues hadn't even crossed your mind. You've been so focused on your own sense of betrayal and the need to rebuild trust, you didn't consider that she might be struggling too. As you wait for Wanda's response, a knot tightens in your stomach, making you realize just how much her answer matters to you.
For a brief moment, Wanda looks at Calliope with a blank expression. “I... I'm not quite certain how to answer that,” she concedes, her fingers subconsciously toying with a loose thread on her sleeve.
You find yourself hanging onto her every word.
“Does it count that I was jealous of Yelena even before she and Y/N got together? There was an entire history between Y/N and Yelena that we never really discussed... that I was never really a part of.”
“Lack of trust can often sow seeds of insecurity, Wanda, which in turn leads to feelings of jealousy. Trust doesn't only involve a faith in someone's actions, but also in their words and their shared history.” Calliope explains, and then she turns to you. “Y/N, this is something you need to take into account. It's not only about how your actions impact Wanda's trust in you, but also how much you're willing to share and be transparent about your past and your feelings.”
You swallow dryly and nod at Calliope’s words. It's not easy, admitting this. But it's something you realize you need to say.
“Wanda, I wasn't being completely truthful with you back then,” you start, feeling the weight of the words as they leave your lips. “When I told you I didn't think it was worth mentioning… The truth is, it made me uncomfortable to talk about her.”
Wanda's brow furrows slightly, but she doesn't interrupt. You take that as a sign to continue.
“Yelena was... she was important to me. At some point, before you and I met, I thought she was the one. And when that love was ripped away from me because she moved to another country, it hurt. It hurt a lot. So when we reconnected while we were married, it was... it was complicated. Especially because you never knew about her. I didn't know how to bring it up. How to explain it to you. So I avoided it. And I realize now that was wrong. It wasn't fair to you.” you say.
Wanda studies you intently, her hands clasped tightly together as she works up the courage to voice her question. “And what...what did you feel when you saw Yelena again that time after all those years?”
You take a deep breath. This honestly thing is harder than you thought.
“When I saw Yelena again,” you begin, your voice low and steady. “It was like being transported back in time. There was this rush of old memories, some good, some painful. It was a little unsettling.”
“Did you… realize anything?” Wanda asks slowly. She doesn't spell it out, but you can read between the lines: Did you feel a spark between you two?
You don’t think you can answer that without telling Wanda something first.
“When Yelena and I broke up, our story ended on an open note. There was no closure and part of me always wondered 'what if'. But then you happened, Wanda. You walked into my life and turned it upside down in the most beautiful way.”
You take a deep breath, looking at Wanda, her wide eyes locked onto yours, filled with anticipation. “Before I asked you to marry me, I thought about Yelena. I wondered what it meant to still have an open chapter with her. But in that moment, I knew with absolute certainty, you were the woman I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.”
Wanda visibly relaxes at this, which makes you regret the next words to come out of your mouth.
“But when I found out what really happened, it just floored me,” you say. “Our trust was broken, our marriage ended, and I was left feeling totally confused and hurt. I had to question everything we ever had together.”
Your voice drops to a softer tone, “After our divorce, my history with Yelena seemed like something unfinished that I needed to explore. I was just trying to make sense of everything, looking for a way to move on. I let myself think about 'what if' with her, and even gave a relationship with Yelena a chance. But we both know how that turned out, don't we?”
You give a small shake of your head, smiling sadly, “But to directly answer your question: No, it didn't spark any old romantic feelings when I ran into her in Soho. I didn't feel the same butterflies that I felt when I fell in love with her back then, or the ones I felt when I fell for you. And I realized recently that what we had for the second time around was more about seeking a familiar comfort, a way for me to move from you.”
Wanda nods as she takes everything in. It suddenly feels like a funeral setting, mourning a series of losses.
“I think I’m just realizing now more clearly, the magnitude of what I’ve done,” Wanda begins. Her gaze is steady, albeit heavy with a kind of self-awareness that only comes after a period of reflection and growth. “When I messed up, it wasn't just about you and me. It hurt people we care about. The fallout wasn't contained to just us, it spread to almost everyone we really care about.”
Wanda inhales a deep, shuddering breath, visibly collecting herself. “I can't erase what I did. I can't change the past. But I can learn from it. That huge mistake I made... it's a part of me now. I have to live with it, not as a source of shame, but as a constant reminder of where I went wrong.”
Calliope listens, her expression softening with understanding as Wanda speaks. When Wanda finishes, she nods, thoughtful.
After a brief pause to let her words sink in, Calliope segues into the next subject. “Is there anything else that has strained your trust in Y/N, or have we covered everything?”
Wanda, after a thoughtful silence, finally murmurs, “There's something else…”
You turn to your ex-wife, surprised by her admission. You brace yourself for whatever comes next, even though a nagging feeling at the back of your mind tells you that you're about to be blindsided once again by something in your relationship with Wanda.
Wanda bites the inside of her cheek thoughtfully. Her voice is a bit shaky as she starts, “I... I'm afraid that one day you'll just... leave. Without a word, without a trace. Just like my mother did to me and my brother when we were young.”
She looks directly at you, vulnerability written all over her face. You can see the fear that grips her in those beautiful eyes, a fear that you've unknowingly contributed to.
“That night, when I asked you to stay... when I overdosed... it was that fear. That feeling of abandonment, it just... it just became too much,” she whispers, her voice trailing off.
You’re stunned into silence at the enormity of her confession. You had no idea that she carried such deep-rooted fears. It makes you view your actions and decisions in a new light. You may have unknowingly triggered her worst fear, exacerbating the pain she felt from your separation.
You reach across the couch to take her hand in yours, giving it a reassuring squeeze.
“I... I didn't realize that night what I was doing to you,” you say, looking down at your hands, now entwined. “I should've stayed. Maybe then things would've been different. If I'd understood...” Your voice trails off, choked with regret.
Wanda’s overdose, her hospitalization, it really was your fault. “Y/N,” Calliope's gentle voice cuts through your self-recrimination, “I see that you're blaming yourself, but it's crucial to recognize that we are all responsible for our own actions. Wanda's overdose was her response to the pain, a decision driven by her emotional state at the time. While you did play a role in her life, you didn't dictate her choices. There were other ways for her to cope, other people she could have reached out to. The path she took, as desperate as it may have been, was her decision. Our challenge now is to understand why she felt that was her only option, rather than assigning blame.”
Action and reaction. You understand that these are the things you can control if they are your own, but that doesn't negate the fact that other factors can influence them. Calliope's words don't quite alleviate the guilt threatening to engulf you.
“Y/N, would you care to share your intentions that night when you left Wanda? Did you plan to sever all communication with her?” Calliope gently prods.
“Calliope, can we–” Wanda begins, her voice breaking as if the words are lodged in her throat. “Can we not talk about this anymore?”
“No, Wanda, it’s okay,” you say softly. Your eyes lock with Wanda's, holding her gaze as if trying to communicate a silent promise. You then turn to Calliope, drawing a deep breath.
“I... I don't know," you admit, your voice low. “I was so hurt and angry... I couldn't think straight. But I never intended to... to abandon her like that. I just... I needed some space. I needed time to process everything that happened. And I thought she needed it too.”
Wanda cuts in to support your statement, “We were hurting each other... every day, every moment. It was as if we were stuck in a loop of anger, pain, and... meaningless sex. That week... it was like we were poisoning each other.”
Wanda's voice softens, reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea, “I understand now why you had to leave then. But this time, if we're trying... if we're really committed to this, can I count on you to communicate with me if you ever feel like you need space?”
As Calliope turns to you for an answer, you feel an immediate sense of calmness washing over you.
“Of course, Wanda,” you assure her with a small smile.
With a satisfied nod, Calliope wraps up the joint part of your therapy session, “That's a good place to pause for now.” She looks over at both of you, a proud smile on her face.
She then turns to you specifically, “Y/N, would you still be okay to proceed with your individual session after a short 30-minute break?”
You nod quickly. You want nothing more than to proceed and talk to Calliope about some things that have made it difficult for you to sleep in recent days.
“Alright, then. I'll see you shortly,” Calliope remarks, retreating to her desk, her pen already dancing across her notebook.
You and Wanda rise from your seats, and she mentions that she needs to rush back to the cafe to work on potential recipes for the “Cup-off”. You've only heard about this competition in passing one evening, but you nod supportively, thankful for her patience and engagement throughout these therapy sessions. She rewards you with a kiss on the cheek, and a promise to call you later.
“Okay, Y/N, let's begin,” Calliope starts, taking a deep and grounding breath. You find yourself silently admiring her resilience and strength. Her job seems like more of an emotional balancing act than you initially thought, bearing witness to all sorts of personal burdens day in and day out. Yet here she is, prepared to cross another emotional minefield. You briefly wonder if it ever gets to her–the burden of other people's problems.
“So, Y/N, how are you doing right now?”
You chuckle lightly, shaking your head as you settle back into the same spot you occupied just thirty minutes ago. “You were in the room with us,” you say with a wry smile. “You know how it went.”
Calliope grins slightly, responding patiently, “Yes, I was there. But a lot can shift in thirty minutes. It's fascinating, isn't it? The fluidity of human emotions. They can change, sometimes so rapidly.”
You smile good-naturedly, feeling the warmth from the coffee cup still lingering in your hands. Glancing out onto the balcony of the reception area had given you a moment to breathe, to reflect.
“Actually, I'm doing alright,” you tell Calliope, your voice steadier than before. “The quick break helped me calm down. I was upset, I won't lie, after hearing about the impact of my leaving on Wanda. And the thought of almost losing her without even realizing it... I would never be able to forgive myself if something had happened to her.”
“It won't be easy, but you need to forgive yourself. Wanda has,” Calliope says.
You take a deep breath, trying to absorb her words. It's one thing to hear Wanda say she forgives you, but to actually forgive yourself? That's a more complicated matter.
“Thank you, Calliope. I'll try.” You pause, collecting your thoughts, before adding, “There is actually something else on my mind.”
“What is it, Y/N?”
“Natasha,” you say, the name echoing in the room, fraught with significance. “She's my best friend. Well, was, I guess. And she's Yelena's sister.”
A brief understanding flashes across Calliope's face. “Ah,” she murmurs, leaning back in her chair. “That's a complex dynamic.”
“To say the least,” you reply, a hollow laugh escaping your lips. “I messed up with Yelena, right? I...I kissed Wanda while we were still together. And after Yelena broke up with me, Natasha and I had a big fight. She's refused to talk to me since. So, I’m just gonna go straight to it and ask you: How do I fix it?”
Calliope studies you for a moment, her gaze steady. “Y/N,” she begins, leaning further back in her chair, “A common misconception about therapy is that therapists are the 'fixers', that we hold all the answers to people's problems. But the truth is, we're here just to guide, to help you look at situations in a healthier way.”
You find yourself nodding, even though a part of you yearns for a simple solution.
Calliope pauses, letting you digest her words. “As for your situation with Natasha, you must understand that your control is limited. You cannot control her reactions or feelings. What you can control are your actions and intentions.”
She sees the understanding dawning in your eyes. “Your desire to fix the situation is natural, especially when you've caused hurt. But apologies can't be rushed, and forgiveness can't be demanded. However, there are steps you can take to start the process of healing.”
It's not an immediate solution, but it's a direction to follow. “I see,” you mutter, feeling a glimmer of hope. “Can you share with me what these steps are?”
Calliope smiles at your willingness to learn the process. “First, acknowledge what you've done wrong. In your case, it seems like you've done that. You've recognized that your actions with Wanda while being with Yelena caused you to hurt Natasha,” she starts.
“Second, reflect. Why did you do it? From what I’ve gathered, it’s because of your intense feelings for Wanda, which you have acknowledged in our previous sessions. Next, and most critically, how can you prevent such actions in the future?” she continues.
“Third, make the apology, but make sure it's sincere. People can tell when you're not genuinely sorry. Don't just say it to make yourself feel better, but rather to acknowledge the hurt you've caused," she advises, her gaze fixed on yours, driving home the importance of the words.
“I tried when I could,” you respond, frustration seeping into your voice. “But now, I don't even know how or when I could get another chance to…”
“Well, you’ve done your part, Y/N. Maybe you were sincere, but it wasn’t the right time for her yet. Maybe she wasn’t ready to hear it.” Calliope says.
You rub your face, feeling the weariness creeping in. “I just... I hope she knows how deeply sorry I am.”
“She will, Y/N, in her own time. Which brings us to the last advice I can give you,” Calliope says. “Give them time and space. It's crucial to understand that they may need time to process your apology and decide how they feel about it. They may not forgive you immediately, or even at all. That's something you'll have to accept.”
That's something you'll have to accept.
You went to kindergarten with Natasha. You shared birthdays together and even a funeral.
If Natasha never forgives you, then you permanently lose a piece of your life.
A piece of yourself.

The persistent drone of the plane engines always unsettled you, making you hesitant about leaving the familiarity of solid ground. This feeling has you rooted in one city, avoiding globe-trotting adventures or cross-country escapades.
But when Wanda asked you to go with her to Los Angeles to celebrate Christmas with her family, you couldn't say no. The way her eyes lit up when she asked you was irresistible, and with your mom planning to spend the holidays with her friends in Europe, you faced the prospect of being alone in Manhattan. Despite your discomfort with planes, you decided to put your fears aside and join her on the trip.
Wanda, otherwise the perfect companion, is now constantly on her phone, taking calls every five minutes, and when she's not on a call, she's texting. You overhear snippets about delayed orders and maintenance contracts, so it's probably her suppliers, but the incessant buzzing and clicking of her phone still gnaws at your attention.
Who are they, these people reaching out to her? Even if it's just business, what are all these conversations about? Wanda happens to be a very attractive woman, and people aren't blind to it.
She takes wind of your unease eventually, her hand reaching over to squeeze yours, a reassuring smile on her face. “It's just the suppliers and the maintenance people for the shop,” she explains, but the phone still rests in her other hand, a barrier that you can't quite overcome.
Before you can respond, the pilot's voice echoes through the cabin, signaling take-off, you instinctively brace yourself, your knuckles whitening as you clutch the armrests tightly. Noticing your visible discomfort, Wanda gently peels your rigid fingers away from the armrest and threads them through hers. A soft gasp escapes her as your grip tightens around her fingers instinctively, harder than you mean to. Sparky, comfortably nestled in Wanda's lap, looks considerably more at ease than you.
“Sorry,” you mumble, eyes squeezed shut as you brace for the sensation of the accelerating plane.
“It's okay, love,” Wanda reassures you. Her thumb traces comforting circles over the back of your hand, and you cling to the calming rhythm.
The plane picks up speed, the familiar pressure building in your chest. You suck in a quick breath, your free hand gripping the armrest on your other side.
Suddenly, Sparky lifts his head from Wanda's lap and turns to you, his furry face full of concern. His soft whimpering and puppy eyes manage to pull a small smile from you. Somehow, his innocent worry makes the tension ebb away slightly.
With one last reassuring squeeze of your hand, Wanda whispers, “We're about to lift off. Just remember to breathe.”
As the plane ascends, your heart flutters in response to the shift in gravity. The world outside the window begins to shrink, the vast expanse of the city transforming into a model town. You keep your eyes shut, focusing on the steady rhythm of Wanda's thumb on your hand. If you’re going to die from a plane crash today, you find comfort in having Wanda’s assurances against your ear as the last sound you’ll ever hear.
“See, we're okay,” Wanda says after a moment, a note of triumph in her voice.
You open your eyes slowly, the cabin steady around you. As you look out of the window, the sight of the sprawling city below is enough to take your breath away.
“Do I get a reward for doing a great job?” you ask with a smirk.
A playful grin takes over her features as she leans in, pressing a light kiss to your lips. She then whispers in your ear, her voice low and sweet, “You’ll get the rest of your reward tonight, baby.”
The sound of her voice makes you tingle in all the right (wrong) places and it effectively distracts you enough from your fear of flying, allowing for some much-needed conversation.
“How’s the cup competition coming along?”
“Cup-off,” Wanda corrects you with a chuckle, her chin coming to rest on your shoulder, her breath fanning against your neck as she speaks. “It’s been fun coming up with different flavors, but I don’t know…” she trails off. “But, let's face it. I'm just a home cook who loves her espresso machine, not a seasoned barista. I'll be up against real coffee connoisseurs who've been perfecting their brews for years.”
“And that's what makes it so interesting, don't you think?” You turn your head slightly to meet her eyes. “You bring something different to the table, Wanda. You have a passion and creativity that they might not have.”
She gives you a thoughtful look, clearly mulling over your words. Her lips curve into a small, appreciative smile, and she snuggles closer to you. “You always know how to make me feel better,” she murmurs, her voice dropping an octave, and you know she's doing it on purpose, trying to rile you up. But there's just plenty of things on your mind right now, and her phone buzzing with notifications again isn't helping.
“It's easy when it's the truth,” you say, stirring the topic back to coffee. “But how about you approach it from a different angle?”
“What do you mean?” Wanda asks, tilting her head and looking at you with apt interest.
“Instead of flavors, return to the basics. Use single origin coffee for your brew and make sure to source only the best stuff. I don’t know. Maybe I’m not making sense. But… sometimes people just really appreciate quality ingredients, you know?”
Wanda's eyes widen, and you notice a spark of excitement in her expression. She leans closer, her attention fully on you, the phone momentarily forgotten. “You may be onto something,” she says slowly.
“Really?” Your eyebrows shoot up, surprised and delighted at her interest.
“Really,” Wanda's expression turns thoughtful, her gaze fixated on some distant point as she mulls over your idea some more. “In fact, that's actually a great idea, Y/N. It emphasizes the true essence of coffee, rather than masking it with a variety of flavors. It's raw, it's honest, and it's authentic... Just like you.”
Feeling a rush of warmth, you give her a teasing nudge. "Are you comparing me to a coffee now?"
She chuckles, her eyes sparkling with amusement. “Maybe I am,” she says playfully, tightening her hold on your hand.
You roll your eyes, but your heart flutters at her words, and you find yourself leaning into her touch.
The idea of coming to LA with her just keeps getting better and better.
***
The flight to California feels endless, the hours stretching on. But the moment the plane touches down and the doors open, Wanda's face transforms with anticipation. As soon as she steps into the arrival lounge, her eyes lock onto a familiar figure. Her brother, standing a little taller than her but with the same striking features, waves energetically in her direction.
Without hesitation, Wanda breaks into a light run, her face lighting up with pure, unadulterated joy.  She launches herself into his embrace. Their arms wrap around each other, the distance and time apart melting away. “Piet,” she murmurs into his shoulder, her voice thick with emotion.
He ruffles her hair, his grin matching hers. "Been too long, little sis," he teases, before turning his attention to you.
“And Y/N,” Pietro greets you, his eyes scanning your face for a moment before he extends his hand. The handshake is civil, firm but noticeably cool. His polite smile doesn't quite reach his eyes, and in that brief contact, you feel a lingering tension that serves as a reminder that not all is forgotten.
You grab Pietro's hand, giving it a quick shake. “Pietro.”
He quickly shifts his focus back to Wanda, bombarding her with questions you can't keep up with. As Wanda and Pietro chat and laugh, you feel a bit left out.
Pietro's cool demeanor makes it clear he knows about the issues between you and Wanda. You can't help but feel like you're on the outside looking in. Tugging on Sparky's leash and pulling your suitcase, you trail behind them, feeling like you're not really part of this little family reunion.
With Sparky trotting faithfully at your side, you traverse the bustling airport, lagging slightly behind Wanda and Pietro. Suddenly, Wanda seems to realize that you've fallen behind. She slows her pace and glances back at you with a soft smile. “Sorry,” she says, a slight flush to her cheeks as if she's only just remembered you're there too. “Got caught up with all the catching up.”
You offer her a small, understanding smile, grateful for the effort she's making to include you. “It's okay,” you reassure her. “It's been a while since you two last saw each other. Catch up all you want.”
Her smile widens at your words, and she squeezes your hand lightly in appreciation. The simple action is enough to wash away your earlier discomfort, reminding you that even if the situation isn't perfect, you're here for Wanda.
And that's all that matters.
To call Pietro's home in Sherman Oaks 'big' feels almost like an understatement. It's a sprawling, two-story house, complete with a wide, beautifully maintained front lawn and a driveway big enough to accommodate several cars. The house itself, painted in a warm, welcoming shade of beige, feels incredibly homely despite its size. The large windows and well-manicured garden make it clear that whoever lives here puts a lot of effort into maintaining it. For a brief moment, you feel a pang of intimidation; this is a far cry from the apartments and small houses back in New York.
Wanda's eyes widen in astonishment as they scan the surroundings. It seems she's just as impressed as you are. You lean towards her, whispering so that only she can hear, “Does Pietro really rake in that much cash?”
She gives you a sidelong glance, her eyes sparkling with amusement before shrugging her shoulders lightly. “I think it's his wife,” she responds in the same hushed tone.
“He got married again?” you ask, remembering the last time you heard about Pietro's personal life, he was going through a messy divorce.
Wanda nods, a small smile playing on her lips. “Yeah, he did. And from what I can tell, I think it's really for keeps this time.”
Before you can comment further, a woman appears in the doorway. She's pregnant, very much so, at about six months based on her huge, round belly.
“Welcome to my humble abode,” she exclaims, approaching Wanda with open arms. Wanda rolls her eyes, clearly finding the grandiosity of the mansion anything but modest. She kisses each of Wanda's cheeks, and her warm smile is genuine and infectious.
However, as you watch her, you can't help but gasp softly. You recognize her. Your mind instantly takes you back to the day of your job interview at Stark Industries, and it was her–Shannon–who interviewed you.
You're so shell-shocked by the sudden realization that you just stand there, momentarily frozen.
Wanda nudges you gently, a knowing look in her eyes. “You recognize Shannon, don't you?” she asks, not bothering to lower her voice.
Shannon turns to you and her smile widens, “I see you remember our meeting.”
You manage to stammer out a surprised, “Yes,” while trying to regain your composure.
Wanda seems to sense your anxiety. She wraps an arm around you, pulling you close. “I knew about the interview. Shannon told me,” she confesses, her voice just a whisper in your ear. “She was the one who gave me your new address.”
“She did what?”
“I think she did it to amuse herself because I was–I wasn’t clearly getting over you and she sort of nudged me in your direction. But I didn’t contact you until a month later, when Sparky had to be taken to the vet.”
“But my getting hired–that had nothing to do with you, right?”
“Absolutely not,” Wanda assures you, quickly dispelling your worry. “She only mentioned it to me over a month after we... after we had cut off communication. She did mention talking to Scott before hiring you.”
The mention of Scott's name brings a genuine smile to your face, tugging at the corner of your lips. You make a mental note to call him on Christmas Day.
“Why am I here hunting for a tree again?” Wanda grumbles, glancing back at the shrinking figure of you through Pietro's pickup truck window.
“Because you love me?” Pietro shoots back with a shrug.
“And Y/N, she'll be okay back there, right?”
“Y/N this, Y/N that,” Pietro mimics, feigning exasperation. “She’ll be fine.”
“You say that as if Shannon’s the loveliest host.”
“Well, she's been a lot nicer since she got pregnant.”
With a small sigh, Wanda leans back in her seat. The earlier excitement of seeing her brother at the airport is starting to fade. Now, without you or Sparky around, she feels a bit uneasy being alone with Pietro.
“I can hear the gears turning in your head, sis. What’s up?”
Wanda takes a steadying breath, searching for the right words. “It's Y/N,” she begins. “Piet, I'm... I'm nervous. With Y/N here, with everything that happened, I don't know how…” She trails off, biting her lower lip.
Pietro is quiet for a moment. “And mom?” he prompts gently.
Wanda nods, her eyes distant. “And mom,” she echoes. “I wrote back to her, you know?”
Pietro raises his eyebrows in surprise. "You did?"
Wanda had always been more hesitant to reopen old wounds, especially when it came to their mother.
Wanda nods. “I did. I... I wrote about Dad. About how much it hurt when she left. I told her that I understand we don't really have a relationship right now, but... I want to try. I want to start fixing things.”
Pietro doesn't respond immediately. He keeps his eyes on the road, but the grip on his steering wheel tightens just a bit. When he finally speaks, his tone is softer than usual. “And what did she say?”
“I only sent it recently, just before we left for this trip,” Wanda admits. “I'm not sure whether she's received it yet or if she wrote me back.”
“So, does that mean you've forgiven her?” Pietro asks.
“I can't say for sure,” Wanda confesses. “But I'm hoping to, as I get to know this new version of her–the one you seem to have bonded with so well.”
“Wanda, she's really changed,” Pietro insists. “I've been telling you this.”
“I know, I know,” Wanda says, sounding a bit apologetic. “I'm sorry it's taken me this long to pay attention.”
“Hey, no worries,” Pietro says, giving her a gentle look. “You know what they say, right? Everything happens in its own time.”
After a beat, Pietro asks, “How are you and Y/N?”
“We're doing well, actually,” Wanda says, surprise softening her voice as if she's just realizing it herself. “Y/N has been... different. More open. More like the person I fell in love with. We're communicating more, which helps.”
“That's great to hear, Wanda. Really.”
“But,” she adds, her voice dropping to a murmur, “I still feel like there's a part of Y/N holding back. Like she’s still not fully trusting me... and I get it. I just... I hope that with time, that changes.”
Pietro smiles at her, nodding, then returns his attention to the road.
“And you and Shannon?” Wanda asks after it gets too quiet again. “How are things going?”
A shadow passes over Pietro's features, and he takes a deep breath before answering. “Actually... something happened. It's not bad, per se. But…”
“What did you do, Piet?” Wanda asks, her brows already pulled together into a frown.
“Why do you automatically assume it was me who did something?” Pietro retorts with a hint of amusement.
“Didn't you?”
Pietro hesitates for a moment before finally relenting, “...Yeah, I did.”
“So?”
“Well, about a week ago, I went out to a bar with a few friends from my old college football team, and I–”
“Tell me you did not cheat again on your pregnant wife!” Wanda exclaims, her voice rife with disbelief and anger.
With her sudden outburst, Pietro slams on the brakes, the vehicle screeching to a halt in the middle of the road. His arm aches sharply from the force of Wanda's indignant punch.
“Ow! Hey, stop,” Pietro shields himself from Wanda’s onslaught. “Jesus, Wands, I didn’t cheat on her, okay?”
Hearing this, Wanda pulls back, sinking back into her seat with a wary look on her face. She waits for him to explain further. He starts steering the car back into the highway again.
“I was just…” Pietro grapples for the right words, his expression troubled. “The therapy sessions with Dr. Williams... they've been beneficial, right? I mean, they've definitely helped you. And Shannon says they're making a difference for me too, but I…”
“But you still doubt yourself,” Wanda finishes his sentence, her voice laced with understanding.
Pietro affirms her statement with a heavy nod. “So that night, I thought I'd try a little experiment–see if I've really made as much progress as everyone says. I struck up a conversation with a woman at the bar, and before I knew it, we were flirting. It was like slipping back into an old rhythm–and it didn't matter to her that I was a married man.”
A bitter edge creeps into his voice as he pauses, gazing absently at the road ahead. “Then I offered to drive her home...that's usually when things take a turn, isn't it?”
Wanda recoils slightly, her nose scrunching up in distaste. The direction this story is taking leaves a sour taste in her mouth. She's uncomfortable, disturbed even, by the idea of Pietro willingly steering himself towards temptation like that. It feels too real, too human–a crisp reminder that making progress doesn't mean you're immune to setbacks.
“Right as she put her hand on my lap,” Pietro recounts, his throat tightening slightly as he swallows. “I understood that time spent in therapy doesn't just automatically make you a better person. It's the choices you make, every single day. Loving someone, being true to them...it's a conscious effort, day in and day out. You have to continuously choose them, especially when the sailing's smooth.”
Wanda absorbs his words, feeling the truth in them echo within her. She doesn't entertain any illusions about the two of you riding off blissfully into the sunset without a care in the world. Reality is far from that. Both you and her would always have to remain vigilant. Complacency, she knows, can be her worst enemy.
Wanda waits with bated breath. “What happened next?” she whispers.
He turns his gaze back to the road. “I moved her hand away from my lap and took her home, just like I said I would. Nothing more.”
“And did you tell Shannon about this?” Wanda asks, her voice steady, almost clinical.
Pietro’s grip on the steering wheel tightens. “Yeah, I did. The morning after. I didn’t want to keep it from her.”
Wanda's heart aches for her brother. Maybe he's truly attempting to become a better person, even if his methods are foolish at times.
“And how did she react?”
Pietro shrugs, attempting to mask his apprehension with a nonchalant demeanor. “She was... understandably upset. But she appreciated the honesty, I think. We're still working through it.”
Wanda silently reflects on his words. She can't imagine herself taking such a risk, not after everything that's happened. It isn't about doubting her own commitment or strength of character, but she feels it's a mark of respect to you not to willingly tread near the edge of temptation.
With a soft sigh, she turns her attention to the road ahead as they pull into the Christmas tree farm. The task of picking out a tree seems almost trivial in comparison to what they had just discussed, yet it also feels grounding—a joyful tradition amidst the complexities of life. For now, they have a Christmas tree to pick out.

How would each of them react to the reader telling them that they’re ready for another little one?
Tumblr media
Warnings: There's talk about Marc's trauma. Are you surprised? You shouldn't be.
I’ll shut up now. Enjoy! And don’t be afraid to request.
Tumblr media
Steven Grant
Okay so I already said in my original Moon Dad post that Steven is the type of man who wants a bunch of kids with you
Like I literally said that he would be the stay at home dad with a million photos of all of his kids and talks all about their achievements, big or small
So when you say you want another kid he's actually been on board since you had/adopted your first
He doesn't really care about the gender of the second kid even though I've made it clear that I just see him being a girl dad
Of course he has a talk with your first to say the whole "You're going to have a sibling and they'll need a lot of attention but that doesn't mean we love you any less.". That whole thing.
Though he does like the idea of having one of each. So if your first is a girl then he'd want a boy next. But again. He doesn't really care.
He's just happy because he gets to have another little one running around
Marc Spector
He'll need a bit to think about it and sit with the idea
It's not that he doesn't want to have a big happy family with you. I actually feel like he does want the whole happy family with the nice house and picket fence
But we know that he has a good amount of self doubt
Sure you and your first helped him kick the idea that he doesn't deserve a happy life but the idea of a second puts him in a funk for a few days for obvious reasons
He will leave it or make the effort to leave it and say yes but he just needs that moment to mentally prepare correctly
Marc does his best to prepare your first into being an older sibling and what that entails and means
It's the usual briefing that most older siblings get when there's going to be a little sibling. "Don't do anything bad or risky because they'll copy you." "They're going to follow you around a lot." "Be gentle"
Marc leaves behind the baggage the best he can and just asks that they love each other the same way he loved his little brother
Being a dad heals him in a way and it heals even more when he has more than one kid
I do think he imagines just two though. Marc hardly even thought of a second child so he's defiantly never thought of a third or more even
But maybe Steven can convince him with the "one for each of us" idea and I mean... the system are like brothers so maybe a third kid wouldn't be too bad
Jake Lockley
I think Jake just says yes because he's just cool with any number of kids you want
He also wouldn't really care about the second one's gender because like I said in my og post he doesn't care if he has a girl she's going to know how to do certain things and maybe how to be rugged
I do feel like he has this sense of pride if he has a good amount of kids. It makes his dad level stronger
I also feel like he gets more methodical in his work and better able to expect the unexpected
Because let's face it. Children are chaotic and unpredictable. So he knows to keep his senses up
Too quiet? Something's happening. Everyone too still? Someone is going to bolt. Giving glances? Plotting.
Jake Lockley knows how this works because everyday his kids are doing something
So yeah, sure. Add another. Add as much as you want.

Bsd except Atsushi doesn't leave the Orphanage unscathed. He messed up, not that he could remember what he'd done.
But Atsushi didn't voice that, it would just seem like an excuse. Everyone knew if anything wrong happened it was Atsushi's fault.
There were no exceptions.
Atsushi had always healed fast, he knew that much. But the only scars he bore were made from fire.
He remembered that.
So did the staff when he was punished for the last time.
They called it their parting gift.
Atsushi stumbled out, only letting out the hiss off pain when once he was out of earshot. He didn't cry, not than and he refused to now.
It would only be worse if he cried, he didn't deserve to anyway. Not someone like him, not someone who the whole world had abandoned.
The first few days were hard, after that Atsushi found himself getting used to the pain. He bandaged it best he could, stealing some bandages and hiding out in a restaurants bathroom.
It wasn't ideal but it was all he knew how to do, bandage and hope got the best.
Pain wasn't exactly a stranger to him, so Atsushi got used to it like it never left him. He had other things to worry about anyway, like not starving to death.
He hid the wince when he pulled Dazai out the river. Luckily the man was too busy pissing off Kunikida to notice.
Atsushi didn't think much of it after that, settling into Agency life and processing he was the tiger.
It wasn't until he woke up in the infirmary after his fight with Akutugawa that Atsushi noticed the ever present pain was gone.
But that means...
"Hey Atsushi, can you come here a for a minute?"
Atsushi nods, trying to hide the shame and fear as he gets out the bed and walks up to Yosano.
He's suprised when he doesn't see anger in her eyes. There's something kind, something gentle and worried. It wasn't a look he was familiar with.
"Why didn't you tell me you were burned?"
It's said softly, there's no judgement or anger. Atsushi just feels more confused.
"I... Was I supposed too?"
Why would Yosano need to know he was hurt? It wasn't nothing major, he could handle it. He understood her using her ability after the fight, but for one simple burn?
He ignored the fact it was anything but a simple burn.
Yosano frowned, Atsushi was about to apologise but than she smiled. It was small and kind and sad.
He felt bad for making Yosano sad.
"You should, when you're hurting. Even if it doesn't seem big, I'd like to know when you're hurt. Can you do that for me, Atsushi?"
Atsushi, not knowing how to respond to that, just agreed. "Okay, I'm sorry... For upsetting you. And being a burden."
Yosano shook her head "you don't need to apologise for anything. Just, don't keep quiet about this stuff. You're not a burden, Atsushi."
To his suprise, he started to cry. He couldn't help it, he couldn't recall the last time someone had told him he wasn't a burden.
The last time someone had shown him such kindness.
Yosano didn't yell at him, not like the Orphanage staff would. Instead she handed him a tissue and ran a hand through his hair, telling him it was okay.
Maybe it was now.

I know if reader started questioning anything about herself she would instantly call for Laenor. Because he's gentle, soft, and kind while also being understanding even if he doesn't agree with her.
But in this case, Reader calls for laenor as she's in her chambers fidgeting with her fingers, confused of these feelings she feels through her stomach.
Butterflies..
But to who?
To the new servant girl, who helps reader with everything, to the servant girl waking reader up, making her bed, helping her get dressed and just basically being by her side like 24/7.
But with so much time being together, readers feelings just start coming to the surface, revealing themselves more and more to the reader.
Making her confused as to why she feels this way to a girl.
Since all her life was basically everyone(Hightowers, velaryons, targaryens.) telling her to pursue for this man(their sons.) So with these feelings she just doesn't know what to do, since it's just so foreign to her.
And so when Laenor walks through the door, instantly she goes to him hugging him tightly, as Laenor asks.
"Whats wrong are you okay? Are you hurt?"
But to just get responded with reader shaking her head, 'no' squeezing him tighter.
"I just need to talk...please."
Laenor nodding his head instantly, gently walking to her bed, and sitting down on it.
"What is it?"
Laenor says gently while his hand is reassuringly rubbing her back.
But with reader hesitantly wanting to say what she's gotta say. He was about to say something, till she started to talk.
"I...I don't know how to explain this..but"
Laenor waits patiently as she's kinda fumbling over her words, not knowing the right words to say.
"But..you know how a woman likes a man right?"
Reader says fidgeting with her fingers even more, as her voice starts to dip into a more, worried? Scared? Tone.
"Yes?..."
Laenor says kinda confused, but kinda..might k ow where this is leading to, since it sounds kinda familiar.
"....w-what if...you know...a woman likes another woman?..."
Reader says her eyes sticking to only her fingers not being able to strain them away to look at what laenors expression is.
Disgust?
Weirded out?
Concern?
But instead of that, Laenors expression was a gentle smile, a proud one at that, that reader was so comfortable with him that she would tell him this, knowing how it felt, and feels.
When he needed someone to talk to someone about what he felt. And just knowing reader came to him with this information, made him so proud of her and himself abit. As it also kinda heals a bit of the inner child that he has.
"My princess..can you look at me please?"
Laenor says as he pushes the strands of hair out of readers face as he then cups her cheek to then slowly move her face towards him.
Reader seeing the gentle smile on her father's face makes her calmer. But hearing her father's gentle, calm voice makes her happy, relieved and reassured.
(I'm so sorry for this but I actualy just went brain dead, and could not figure out what else I was gonna write for the next five minutes, I'm so sorry I had to end it like this.)
ANON ARE YOU TRYING TO DESTROY ME EMOTIONALLY 😭 but in all honesty this is wonderful

Can I request a Rhea Ripley x reader x Dominik Mysterio in which they help reader to go through grief for the second death anniversary of her dad? I'm going through that and nobody's there to comfort me...
Torn open || Rhea Ripley x Reader x Dominik Mysterio
Summary: On the second anniversary of your father's death you're overcome with grief. That wound you thought you had healed felt like it was getting torn open again.
Tumblr media
The weight of the day hangs heavily in the air as you quietly sit by yourself, lost in memories of your father on the second anniversary of his passing. The pain feels fresh, as though the wound you thought had healed was suddenly torn open again. Grief overwhelms you, and you're not quite sure how to navigate through this sea of emotions.
Just as the sadness threatens to consume you, a knock on the door breaks the silence. You look up to see Rhea and Dominik standing there, their expressions a mix of concern and empathy. Without a word, they step into your space, understanding that sometimes words aren't necessary in moments like these.
Rhea wraps her arms around you, pulling you into a warm embrace. Her presence alone is a comfort, a reminder that you're not alone in your pain. She holds you gently, letting you lean into her for support. And in that moment, you realize how lucky you are to have her in your life.
Dominik stands nearby, his presence a steady anchor. He reaches out and places a reassuring hand on your shoulder, offering his silent solidarity. You glance up at him, meeting his gaze, and the understanding you see there is enough to bring a small sense of solace to your heart.
As Rhea and Dominik remain by your side, you begin to feel a sense of release, as though the weight of your grief is shared among the three of you. They understand that sometimes, on days like these, all you need is someone to be there, to acknowledge your pain, and to offer their unwavering support.
With their gentle encouragement, you find the strength to share stories of your father, memories that bring both smiles and tears. They listen attentively, offering their own anecdotes and memories of loved ones they've lost, creating a space where your grief is understood and honored.
As the day draws to a close, Rhea and Dominik don't let you retreat into the shadows of your sorrow. Instead, they gently guide you outside, where the evening sky is painted with hues of orange and pink. The beauty of the sunset is a reminder that even in the midst of darkness, there is still light.
You stand together, hand in hand, a small circle of support that wraps around you like a protective shield. Rhea squeezes your hand, her eyes filled with compassion. "You're never alone in this, okay?" she whispers, her words a soothing balm to your wounded heart.
Dominik adds his voice, his tone soft and sincere. "We're here for you, no matter what."
And in that moment, as you stand together under the canvas of the sky, you realize that healing doesn't mean forgetting or moving on. It means finding the strength to keep going, to honor the memories of those you've lost, and to lean on the people who care about you.
With Rhea and Dominik by your side, you begin to feel a glimmer of hope. The pain of loss may never completely fade, but you know that with their love and support, you have the resilience to face each day and continue living a life that would make your father proud.

So I guess now every person who has ever been afraid that their past, their trauma, their pain, their insecurities and all the other things that can make us feel unworthy of love. People who looked to Upstead as an example of how it is possible to find someone who loves you in spite of all that, can you love for all that, and that love can be as challenging as it is beautiful, gentle and healing, that it doesn't actually last. Great.
You know, I've been struggling to put into words how this is all really bothering me in terms of characters and reflecting back on to me and others who probably feel the same, but this helped a lot.
For Hailey, who has always been alone. She has no family, no friends, she has nothing. She's always only relied on herself. She doubts herself, she doesn't think she's worthy of love, and she thinks anything or anyone she does find is going to abandon her in the end because that's all she knows.
And then she found Jay, who proved her wrong. She is worthy of love, she does deserve love, she doesn't need to navigate life on her own. He fought for her, he defended her, he showed her what it was like to have someone in your corner no matter what.
But then Gwen pretty much just put out this very harmful and damaging narrative that people will always abandon you and you are forever alone in life. That you're not strong unless you're continually going through something traumatic and only if you fight that on your own.
It's just damaging. It's a tiring narrative. Women don't have to be alone to be strong. In fact, I'd argue that Hailey being able to be vulnerable and open up to Jay made her even stronger.

Skipped a beat
Just my interpretation of what Mahiru was thinking during the latest timeline conversation! You can also read it here.
The dining room is quiet today, the only sound that can be heard being the occasional rattle of a wheelchair.
Mahiru is waiting quietly as per Yuno's request with a feeling of anticipation. Unfortunately, boredom easily succumbed, her thoughts of worry for Yuno and for the current events peeking in.
The voices have unexpectedly calmed down… Meaning that the days of guilt for always needing someone to escape from the prison of her mind are finally over. Recently, the voices are taking pity on her condition and seem to be encouraging… But Mahiru feels weird because of that. Sometimes, she hears words of love and admiration, complimenting her. But she doesn't like it, especially after discussing it with Yuno. It doesn't feel sincere like in those beautiful mangas she used to read. Not like in her past relation-.....
Better not think of that. After all, Yuno wanted to give her something. She doesn't know why… Is today a special event? It has been long since Mahiru has kept a hold of the days… It makes her upset to remember that she can't enjoy the activities she used to. Cooking, baking, cleaning, make-up…
She can only hope that Shidou's treatment will be fruitful. Her only hope to feel better again lies in his hands. But… It is scary. It's scary that she doesn't feel much better. Like her body is one with the pain. However, he promised her that, no matter what, she will be healed. Those words he said that day, made her heart flutter at that time. But doubt does really creep in… sometimes…
"Hei… Mahiru…"
!!
Fuuta…? Was she so deep in thought that she couldn't hear him approaching…? She doesn't remember the last time they talked. She hasn't seen him having a conversation with other prisoners for a very long time. Small talks with Amane, but nothing more. He would go to his cell immediately after dinner or lunch. She has always wondered how he can subdue the voices, being in constant loneliness. Mahiru can't help but feel that the boredom has dispersed.
"Are you… doing alright? Isn’t there any way you can get better…?"
So gentle… is he really ok? She has noticed that Shidou stopped tending to his injuries as much as before, all his attention being on her, because he grew worried about not seeing visible changes. She feels guilty. Fuuta is also in pain, but because of her condition… She should really talk to Shidou about this. Wait…
What had Fuuta asked her..? If she can get better…?
Better… She wished she could smile happily at him and answer with a genuine cheerful voice that she does.
"What's wrong, Fuuta? Yeah, I'm not feeling great… But Shidou has been taking care of me all this time. I'm sure if I keep getting treatment like this, I'll get better…"
"Would she really get better? Poor Mahiru…"
The voices… It's unfortunate that they really ask a good question…
Mahiru slowly moved her head to take a better look at Fuuta. His face is so changed… his expression… Mahiru can't decipher. It has lost that fierceness, his gaze seemingly withered out, without energy. The guilt consumes her more.
"I see. Continue the treatment, huh… How can you truly be saved, I wonder?"
Her heart has skipped a bit. But… Why? Despite thinking of him as nothing more than a bully, somebody who could never understand how beautiful it is to care for somebody else, to give all yourself to them… He still came to her with all these injuries which cause him pain. To express his worries! And they seem sincere… So sweet… like a cake…
Simple words, but she feels better… A sudden wave of energy makes her forget about her hurting body.
"Saved…?? Are you worried about me?…That's nice of you, Fuuta. Just thinking that way… Mahiru feels saved already."
This time, she was honest. Her chest was warm as she carefully watched Fuuta's expression.
It's still the same. Lost and empty. Does Fuuta not believe her? He from a few months ago would have argued back and denied that he acts from kindness. She shamelessly admits that she misses these reactions from him…
"It's that so…? My words made you feel better? "
"Y-Yes!?"
"Perhaps my question has been answered already… "
"What… Fuuta have you said something?"
"No… It's nothing…"
Fuuta looked at her like he wanted to say something more. Mahiru was eagerly waiting. It felt like it was something important.
"Take care of yourself. I wish for you to get better soon…"
With that, Fuuta slowly moved away from the wheelchair, still seemingly lost in thought.
… Mahiru is not very good at reading people, but she could tell that this was not what Fuuta wanted to say. She sighed disappointed watching Fuuta's figure fading away.
"Mahiru!!~"
"Ah, Yuno!"
"Sorry to keep you waiting so much! But I wanted to add a few more things!!"
A strawberry shortcake was put on the table with visible care. There were many pink and red hearts drawn on the white frosting and a few ones cut from some strawberries. They were by far from perfect, but for Mahiru it didn't matter. Just the thought alone that Yuno spent time baking and decorating it, made her heart skip a beat for a second time.
"Happy birthday, Mahiru!!"
The day she had forgotten about…
"Ah… Mahiru, don't cry… Then your special day will not be happy anymore, won't it…?"
"These… These are tears of happiness! Thank you…! I don't know what else to say… I'm sorry, I'm not good with words…"
"You have nothing to apologize for… Please take a bite! Hope it's good!"
Mahiru has slowly calmed down, a sweet flavor invading her taste buds. Fuuta's words still lingered in her mind as she took another bite.
It was sweet…

What started out as a simple headcanon post has evolved into a full on fic snippet that I hope you all will enjoy!
So, I was thinking about how the game gives us no background for the thestral mount, Sepulchria, and how Hellendil just adores her. I head canon that she is one of the thestrals pulling the carriage during the dragon attack at the beginning of the game. She managed to survive the attack, but not without injury. Because thestrals are so intelligent, she remembers her destination was Hogwarts and continues on, showing up there a few days afterward.
Professor Howin finds her wandering the grounds and in need of care. After assessing the wounds and recalling Professor Fig's recounting of the dragon attack a few days before, she consults with him regarding the lost thestral. She puts the creature up in the stables with the others while they send a letter to the carriage driver, alerting him of the thestral's whereabouts and condition.
Hellendil enters Fig's office as he's reading the reply.
"Pity. She's quite a gentle creature." "Who do you mean, Professor?" the curious fifth year asks. "Ah, good to see you Hellendil," Fig answers as he looks up from the letter in front of him. "To answer your question, one of the thestral's drawing our carriage that fateful day. She found her way to the castle in spite of her injuries. Professor Howin has been keeping her with the others while we contacted the driver. It appears he's not interested in keeping a lame creature and has asked us to end her suffering." The fifth year's eyes widen and his jaw drops open, "But why? Surely someone knows how to treat her injuries? Won't a healing spell or draught help?" Fig moves around the desk to place a comforting hand on the tall Ravenclaw's shoulder, "Horses and thestrals are notoriously difficult to heal of such injuries. I'm no expert on the matter, but it's often kinder in the end to do just as her owner suggests." He bows his head and closes his eyes, "Even if she does recover, it's unlikely that she'll ever be able to perform her duties again."
"We have to give her a chance, Professor!" comes the impassioned reply, his brows pressed together in worried, begging expression. "What did Professor Howin say? Do we know that she won't heal? What if I take care of her myself!?" The professor chuckles, a soft smile forming on his face, "I must say, I admire your spirit, young man. You've not been here more than a week and already you're willing to take on tasks well above your current training, not to mention how well you did during our adventure at Gringots. Why don't we talk to Professor Howin about your request together? She's better equipped to know what kind of challenge we face. If she believes it is worth the effort, then I shall see what I can do to get the thestral signed over to our care." "Thank you, professor," Hellendil answers, a look of relief in his kind blue eyes. "I am curious though, as to why you're so passionate about this. It could come at great cost to heal the creature with no guarantees of success." "I like thestrals quite a lot, sir. There's a comfort in being able to see them." His eyes are a bit distant as he responds, as if there's something more on his mind. He doesn't elaborate and Fig respects his privacy. After a moment, he looks back at Professor Fig, "I just think we ought to give her a chance, professor. She made her way to us after our ordeal, and I think she deserves that much. If she's unable to bear the weight of a carriage, it doesn't make her any less deserving of a chance at life." Fig smiles at the young brunet, "You've quite a bit of compassion for someone your age. I hope you'll continue to nurture that side of yourself. The world could always use more people who are willing to give of themselves for others. Come, let's take a stroll down to Professor Howin's office and have a chat." Hellendil nods, "Of course, professor. After you," he gestures for Fig to lead the way and falls in step behind him.
After speaking with Professor Howin they decide to continue to treat the thestral. Even if she is unable to recover completely, her good nature makes her an ideal candidate to be a teaching specimen. Howin agrees to teach and supervise Hellendil as they care for the injured beast. The Ravenclaw grows ever more attached to the creature, somehow finding time nearly every day to visit and tend to her at the stables. Eventually she becomes strong enough to carry a passenger again.
Recognizing the care the new fifth year had taken throughout the healing process and his closeness with the creature, Professor Howin releases her into his custody, with the caveat that if he is ever unable or unwilling to care for her anymore, he would return her to the school and she would live out her days as an animal ambassador for teaching Hogwarts students.
