Wondering if you could write some nsfw headcanons for Snow White x Female reader If you want too
I have no idea how to write a request lol
A/n: I am very sorry that I did not see this!
Prompts used:
26:as an apology.

It was a bit of shock to the rest of the fables that a woman like Snow White would ever be in a relationship with someone as sweet as you though you really didn’t know what they were talking about nor did you care.
But know matter how much Snow loved you, it was not going to stop her from being pissed off about the fact that you helped Bigby slip away when she was scolding the man.
Pouting, you stepped closer to Snow hoping to at least calm your lover.
“Those puppy dog eyes will not work on me!”
“Snow! I’m sorry.” Bating your eyelashes at her, you wrapped your arms around her neck as you gave her a gentle kiss. “Do you forgive me.”
Shoulders sagging, Snow pressed her forehead to yours. She knew it was no use, she knew how close you and Bigby were. “Yes…yes I forgive you.” She then cupped your cheeks as she gave you another kiss.
Grinning you pulled back then grabbed her hand giving it a squeeze. “Great! Now let’s get some food! I am starving.”

Dark Male Evil King x Wife! Reader

"Why? What sin has my son committed to be killed in that way? "
You wail over the dead body of your son while your husband, looks down coldly at the both of you, feeling emotionless over the fact that he murdered, Snow White, his stepson.
"Stop weeping, he was nothing but a pest"
You couldn't believe Grimhild's callousness, he used to be so kind in the beginning of your marriage and treated your son kindly even considering him his own son.
Until that Mirror hurt his vanity by saying that Snow White is the fairest of them all, and the evil King being obsessed with youth and beauty, doesn't decided to kill your son.
Tears continued to stream down your cheeks as she clung to the lifeless form of Snow White.
''He was a sweet boy, kind and generous like his father,'' you whispered, with a shaky voice.
Hearing you mention your first husband infuriated Grimhild, reminding him that you belonged to someone before him.
The Evil King loves you to the point of obessesion, that's why one of the main reasons he murdered Snow White is just to get rid of the last living memory of your late husband.
If he grow old and ugly, you might leave him for someone much younger and handsome.
The Evil King gets down on his knees beside you before embracing your shaking form.
"Now hush, we could always have a child of our own to replace Snow White."

Once upon a time there was a princess and a hunter...
snow white!reader x hunter!rafe
c/w: mentions of violence, her being naive & sheltered, him being slightly suggestive? also if it’s not obvious this is *loosely* based on the story of snow white, 18+ mdni!
wc: 3k
ahh the first part is here xx
series masterlist
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
“Do you have a favorite flower?”
The quietness that follows makes her wonder if the brooding man alongside her had heard her question at all.
She’s not entirely certain why the queen had been so adamant that this grumpy huntsman was to accompany her on this peculiar evening walk, when she’s never even uttered a word to him before— doesn’t even know his name.
When she’d asked why they had to go so suddenly and after the sunset had already colored the skyline with its cherry tinge, he’d merely muttered something along the lines of ‘following Her Majesty’s orders’.
She’s well aware of her stepmother’s disdain for her, never quite understanding why her father had married such a cold woman to begin with. However, it has never been in her wishes to upset her any further than she apparently does by simply existing, which is why she’d quietly agreed without much resistance— even if the request had seemed rather strange to her.
“Uh…I dunno, they all sort of look the same to me, Your Highness,” the sudden rumble interrupts her thoughts.
“Oh,” she’s slightly taken aback by the gravel in his tone, offering him her own answer nonetheless. “I love daisies.”
“Right,” he mumbles out; mind apparently lost somewhere else entirely as he keeps leading her deeper and deeper into the grim, bleak woods. With every step she takes, the leafy trees begin to turn into something impending, sinister— their slender branches beginning to resemble bony fingers, merely waiting for the right moment to latch onto her and claw at her arms.
Therefore, she’d much rather hear his voice instead of this daunting lull in their conversation (if she could even call it that). Unfortunately, what she’s gathered from their brief interactions so far, is that the preferred topic of discussion for a man— a hunter like him, is silence.
And that’s something the murky forest around them is already far too generously presenting her with; this late into the day not even the bluebirds chirp their delightful melodies to make the eerily serene atmosphere of this prolonged journey of theirs a little less dreadful.
“What’s, um, what’s your name?” she attempts to have him speak some more.
“Rafe,” he merely offers her a fleeting glance; as if it’s the most tedious thing in the world to even utter out his own name to her.
Rafe.
Upon further observation of the rugged lines of his face, she decides it suits him. What doesn’t suit him, however, is the ever-present scowl staining his (rather handsome) features. It’s almost as if something is tormenting him, acidic, putrid on his tongue.
“Is something wrong?” she questions next, him being vague on purpose not exactly soothing her concerns regarding this entirely too ominous trip.
They’ve been strolling along some path he apparently has in his mind for quite some time now, at this point nearly reaching the very core of the vast forest that surrounds the entirety of the kingdom.
“Everything’s fine,” his tone is gruff— a heavy palm on the small of her back nudging her forward when she momentarily halts her movements.
“Do we have to go so far? M’getting cold,” she complains because even if the palace hasn’t felt like home ever since her dear father’s passing, she wants nothing more now than to return to the thermal fireplace and silky sheets in her bedchamber.
All of a sudden, the snapping of a branch somewhere close causes her to flinch.
In tandem, they both turn towards the noise as it transforms into foreboding rustling of leaves and something akin to footfall against the muddy ground; forcing a shiver to crawl under her skin.
She’s beginning to prepare herself to face some gruesome monster when out of the blue, the smallest white-tailed deer she’s ever laid her eyes upon, pokes its head from behind a tree trunk.
She gasps in adoration; tiptoeing closer to the trembling animal before crouching down.
“Hello there. Why are you here all by yourself?” she asks with a tender coo, mindfully reaching a hand out to pet its ruffled head.
Seemingly liking her, it takes a careful step towards her in a moment of bravery; teddy bear eyes curious.
“Well, aren’t you adorable? I wish I had something for you to eat but I don’t,” she croons out as it nestles its slobbery nose into the hollow of her hand, when all at once, its button eyes dilate and its fleecy ears lift up in alarm.
“Wha—” she doesn’t have the time to finish her sentence before it’s hurriedly scrambling away from her and disappearing into the viridescent foliage in the blink of an eye.
She looks over her shoulder to locate the source of such horror, coming face-to-face with a gleaming blade and Rafe’s threatening eyes fixed on her suddenly immobile form.
“What are you—” her words wither away on her frightened tongue when he abruptly brings the hunting knife to her throat— terror wrapping around her like yarn, tautening around her organs and making her helpless heart thump against her ribcage in a state of hysteria.
“Don’t make this any harder than it has to be, alright? I promise I’ll make it quick,” he sounds determined, her unnerved eyes round out.
“Rafe, you don’t— you don’t have to do this,” she manages out before she feels the harsh edge cut into her delicate skin just the slightest bit— a droplet of crimson trickling down her neck and towards her heaving chest.
His gaze tracks the rivulet as it dribbles down all the way into her cleavage; leaving a scarlet trail to stain her skin in its wake as her pounding head begins to spin.
She sits there on the forest floor, unmoving and unable to properly suck in air through her lungs as trepidation slithers itself into the crevices of her bones; merging into her marrow and turning her limbs into icebound liquid.
“You think I want to?” he mutters out through his teeth.
“I— I don’t understand...why are you doing this?” she squeaks out when he squeezes the handle in his fist— seemingly torn between two alternatives yanking him into separate directions, their claws scraping at both of his arms.
“Cause the queen wants your heart on a platter n’ I’m supposed to be doin’ what Her Majesty tells me to, yeah?” he spits out the title as if it’s rotten; as if it’s tasted acrid in his mouth for a long while now.
“My heart? Why would she want my heart?” she asks with something akin to hurt in her voice; not realizing her stepmother’s hatred towards her branched as far as wanting her dead.
“Cause she’s lost her fuckin’ mind,” he huffs out; still tightly gripping onto the weapon. “...but then you look at me with those fuckin’ eyes and how am I— how am I supposed to…kill that?” he rambles more to himself than her, making her brows knit together even further.
“You don’t— you don’t have to, you can let me go and I’ll— I’ll hide in the forest,” she suggests, voice wavering.
“And freeze to death?” he scoffs.
“I thought you wanted me dead?” she sounds disconcerted.
“I don’t want you dead!” his volume is as clamorous as thunder, frustrated.
“But you’re holding a knife to my throat?” her voice trembles; the frigid steel still imprinting her skin.
“Yeah, cause I’m supposed to fuckin’ kill you, alright?”
“I…I don’t understand,” her tone is a muted whisper and at last, he loosens his hold on the knife— a faint thud echoing in the space between them as it hits the soil covered in moss.
Then, he’s shaking his head, seemingly exasperated with the girl before him. “Talkin’ to fuckin’ deers n’ shit. I mean, who the hell does that?”
“I…I do? They’re my friends, why wouldn’t I talk to them?” she bats her lashes at him, seemingly confused out her innocent little mind.
“You’re somethin’ else, you know that?” he lets out bitter scoff. “Now tell me, what am I supposed to do with you, hm?”
“You’re not going to…” she swallows the rest of the words— too vile, brutal for her to say out loud.
“Since you’re makin’ it so fuckin’ hard, no,” he lets out a displeased breath before presenting his palm for her to hold onto.
“Get up,” he orders, nearly glaring at her.
“Oh, um, thank you,” she blinks up at his frowning countenance, gingerly grasping onto his much bigger hand and letting him lift her up with ease.
“Right, uh, why don’t we get you somewhere warm, yeah? You must be freezin’ only wearin’ that dress,” he clears his throat when he notices a tremor rattling through her in tandem with a frosty breeze sweeping past them.
Taken aback by his sudden concern over her well-being, she merely stands there with a blank expression before he flits his eyes over to hers; seemingly expecting a response.
“Oh, um...I think— I think I saw a cottage on our way here,” hesitation tinges her suggestion.
“You did? Where?”
“It was, um…” she pads along the faint traces of their original route she had sidetracked from in order to greet the baby deer— his heavy footsteps following close behind.
“There,” she points her index finger towards a small hut partly hidden away behind old, lush trees.
When they step onto the threshold, she softly knocks on the mahogany door decorated with intricate swirls and designs embedded into the wood.
“Hello? Would it be possible if we could come in to warm up a little bit? It’s terribly cold out here,” she politely asks.
However, they’re not granted any sort of a reply.
“I don’t think anyone’s home,” Rafe notes as he peers through the windows into the unlit interior, before trying his luck and pushing down the handle.
To both of their surprise, the door is unlocked.
“Rafe! We can’t just break into someone’s home,” she scolds him with wide eyes.
“S’not breakin’ in if the door’s open,” he merely shrugs before cautiously stepping inside— having to duck his head since the roof is hanging far too low for his tall figure.
He looks around the compact space, as if to make sure they truly are alone, before glancing over his shoulder at her still tentative form shivering in the doorway. “What are you waitin’ for? Come in. Unless you wanna get sick standin’ out there?”
She feels guilt eat away at her soul when she gingerly steps inside the cozy cabin, feeling far too much like an intruder, even if Rafe doesn’t seem all that bothered by entering a complete stranger’s place of residence without permission.
“Shit, why are these chairs so small?” he complains when the wooden stool creaks under his weigh; threatening to crack as he lights up some candles he found— the walls soon bathing under the burnt-orange flames.
“Maybe we should go somewhere else,” she suggests meekly.
“S’not like we have options to choose from,” he points out; stretching his big arms over his head in an attempt to get comfortable.
“You’re right...I’m sure whoever lives here will understand we needed a place to stay, right?” she tries to convince herself in hopes of brushing her worries under the rug.
“Yeah, yeah, sure. Let’s see if they have anything to eat around here,” he dismisses her as he stands tall on his feet once more, before he’s opening and closing the cabinets and cupboards in a search for food.
“Why do they have so many fuckin’ apples in here?” he mindlessly questions when he sees a pile of the red fruit hiding behind one door.
“Oh, I could make you an apple pie?”
He turns to look at her beaming with that sudden grand idea of hers.
“Uh, m’not sure if that’s…”
“Do you not like them?” she sounds nearly concerned, as if not liking apple pies should be considered a crime in the fairytale world inside her skull.
“Nah, I do, I just— shouldn’t we be comin’ up with some plan to keep you safe n’ shit? And not bakin’ pies. We don’t really have all the time in the world before the queen finds out you’re alive,” he mutters out.
“Well, I don’t know about you but I can’t think with an empty stomach. And, um, it would also be a thank you for you sparing my life,” she timidly looks up at him.
He clears his throat at that, seemingly surprised by her sentimentality; feeling unworthy of the gratitude she’s so willingly offering him. “Right, yeah, uh, alright. Well, you do that and I’ll go get us some firewood or somethin’, yeah?”
“That sounds perfect,” she smiles.

Later, when he returns to the cottage, the saccharine smell of oven-baked apples instantaneously whirls around him— holding him in a cinnamon-scented embrace and dragging a grumble from his stomach.
“Oh, you’re back just in time!” she exclaims as she sets down two porcelain plates for them.
“I might’ve went a little overboard with the cinnamon but I hope you don’t mind?” she asks while cutting through the steaming pie that’s making him practically drool.
“Uh, nah, I…love cinnamon,” he murmurs, not sure why he just said that since he doesn’t particularly even like cinnamon. However, he’s certain that nothing that smells like that could possibly taste bad.
“Really? Me too!”
He thinks this is the first time he’s seen her eyes glitter in that way; as if he’s just single-handedly hung the moon or professed his undying love for her. It makes something unfamiliar poke at his insides— scratching at his organs and begging to be let out. However, he decides not to pay it any mind as he sits down on the kitchen chair that’s still entirely too tiny for him.
“Do you like it?” she asks with her gaze glued to his expression when he takes his first bite. She hasn’t even touched her own slice; opting to stare at him instead and momentarily, he wonders why she’s so eager to please him.
“This might just be the best thing I’ve ever had in my mouth,” he can’t help but groan out loud in response to the luscious flavors practically melting on his tongue.
She swallows at that, mind seemingly stuck somewhere else entirely before she softly clears her throat. “You, um, you think so?”
“Uh huh,” he hums out with delight before shoving another forkful of softened apple pieces and golden-brown crust into his mouth— a smirk soon blossoming on his face when he catches on to the double entendre of his mindless compliment that apparently turned her all shy.
“Someone’s got a dirty mind,” he chuckles, mocking her.
“I…” she opens and then closes her mouth like a goldfish. “I do not—”
“Alright, you caught me. Second best thing I’ve ever had in my mouth,” he decides to toy with this sweet little princess some more, for some reason wants to see her all flustered; in some crooked way enjoys having an effect on her.
“Um, right…yeah,” she stumbles over her words; eyes flickering towards her plate as she finally digs into her own portion.
He’s all too preoccupied grinning at the way she’s avoiding his gaze when out of the blue, the sight of a bed peeking through the slightly ajar bedroom door catches his attention.
And it’s not so much the piece of furniture that halts his chewing and makes a crease form between his brows, but more so the size of it. It forces his feet to move on their own accord to the room where he’s met with six more beds— just as minuscule as the first one.
At that, he wonders if he really was so caught up with the princess that his brain couldn’t fit the very clear pieces together any earlier.
“Oh shit, I think I know these guys n’ I don’t think they’ll be too happy to see me here when they get back,” he mutters while padding back towards the kitchen.
“What do you mean?” concern paints over her features.
“Nah, nothin’ just…uh, they don’t like me very much, so we gotta leave. I mean, they probably won’t mind you bein’ here all that much. They’re probably real friendly if you don’t piss them off like I have,” he scratches at the back of his head. “What did you do?”
“Nah, don’t worry about it. Uh, I have this cabin for when I’m hunting, but s’not very close. Think we should be safe there for tonight though. Unless you wanna stay here?”
“No, I wanna go with you. I— I don’t want to stay here alone,” she’s quick to answer.
“You sure?” he raises his brows.
She nods.
“Yeah? S’probably gonna be a few hours on foot. Think you can walk for that long in the woods, princess?” he asks next, his cadence turning into something playful.
“Of course I can. I have two healthy legs,” she sounds almost offended.
“I can see that,” an entertained smirk tugs at the corner of his mouth. “And you’re not scared of the dark either?” he adds, almost as if testing her.
“Of course not,” she lies through her teeth— eliciting a humored chuckle from him.
“Mm. Could’ve sworn you were getting a little jumpy on our way here, but must’ve imagined it, right?” he drawls out, eyes narrowing in a challenge.
“Yeah…” she doesn’t give in, a smile beginning to pull at her lips to match his own; neither of them seeming to mind when something feather-light takes the place of the once leaden ambience between them.
Momentarily, she wonders why she’d never talked to this strangely captivating hunter before— his blue velvet eyes nearly entrancing, compelling her into an incantation she seems to unconsciously gravitate towards.
However, the spell is soon broken when he takes a step closer, leaning over towards the table to blow off the flickering blaze of the candles— a dusky obscurity dancing around them once more.

beneath the light of a neon moon

꩜ pairing ⇾ beast!dazai x reader
꩜ word count ⇾ 3.5k
꩜ summary ⇾ this is basically just dazai being a wet cat and unable to understand yet overanalyzing his attachment towards you through all the world’s that exist in the book. he’s just a lil weird about it.
꩜ author’s note ⇾ i missed him. there’s no other explanation. beast dazai needs more love 💔 i think dazai having beef with himself through all the worlds is very real and very true. this is nothing but the outcome of the visions that plagued me.
꩜ cw ⇾ slight yandere vibes i won’t lie.. but c’mon it’s dazai so that’s to be expected. some possesive behaviour might come up. slight spoilers for beast if you haven’t finished the ln/manga/movie, though nothing too major. if anything else needs to be tagged lmk!

ability description — the reader’s ability stays active 24/7 and it does take a toll on her. while i haven’t gone into too much detail of what it really does (maybe more in the future, since i have a lot of ideas for it lol) but the ability holds a similarity to that of arahabaki — it too is an entity. not really a god but something more sinister. reader is basically a concious host of that entity which lays dormant.

If Nakahara Chuuya — one of the top most executives of the Port Mafia, is called the left hand of the boss; then it goes without saying that you are the right hand. Just as scary, sometimes even worse.
If Chuuya is the hurricane that destroys towns after towns with its howling whirlwinds, then you are the tsunami that envelopes everyone entirely. Once and for all — like an oppressive silence. And yet it’s commonly accepted that destruction is prevalent regardless of which hand the boss chooses to use.
Everyone knows that the hands of the devil reach far and wide. Must be nice having two vessels of otherworldly entities on the tips of his fingers, they all murmur. And yet no one seems to mention how hard it is to actually maintain them, Dazai can’t help but think to himself.
Everyone in Yokohama can see the large and daunting building from wherever they stand, yet no one glances at it twice as they go through their day. A wise choice, by most. It’s sleek and definitely suspicious, neither the civilians nor the government officials ever directly mention it — in public, that is. Hushed whispers can only be so silent.
The boss of the Port Mafia resides at the top most floor of the main building. Anyone who has ever had the (dis)pleasure of being called up, for whatever reason it may be, knows for a fact that the silence on that floor is deafening. Except for when a certain red haired executive comes around, then one can hear bickering reach far and wide. But that wasn’t always the case, much like today.
The only sound that could be heard along the entire floor was that of your heals clicking against the cold marble tiles. After two knocks against the large doors, you enter Dazai’s office. You hand him the papers — strict and professional, like you ought to be. You’re a sub-executive afterall. By your own choice, of course. You had been offered the executive position far too many times, and yet you always declined. Harshly too, much to Chuuya’s disdain.
He was unable to comprehend it the first few times, and he even tried to knock some sense into you. He wanted you to understand that you were far too deep into this side of the world to continue thinking that you couldn’t cross a ‘certain’ line. You shouldn’t keep trying to balance your way as you continue to stride on the thin thread that separates the civilian world from the mafia one. You’re in too deep, and have done too much to continue acting as though you have a way out.
But your only response was a soft hum, which frustrated him even further. Perhaps more at himself than at you. You both were well aware that neither of you ever had a choice, no matter what the circumstances may be. No matter which road you chose, the destination always ended up here.
Although if Dazai willed it, you would be given the executive title in a minute. Whether you wanted it or not. Instead, he allows you to relish in the feeling of being able to make a choice. Some part of him, deep inside his fucked up sense of self — tainted by the shades of blood and things far darker — he almost feels like he owes this to you, at the very least. Even if it’s just for the sake of maintaining what remains of your moral integrity — your sanity, even.
Not that it changes much, you already perform all the executive duties as far as protocol is considered. Including being present in the meetings, guiding troops and having your own faction within the Port Mafia. It’s generally accepted by the entire organisation that you are equal to the executives, if not something more — to the boss, that is.
Dazai allows you to have a feeling of distance from the work that you do, the lives that you take, the sins that he makes you commit. Letting you wallow in the false sense of security that you could choose to step away any time. Somehow it leaves you a little sane and gives him a little more room to play with. Afterall, no one would enjoy a completely broken doll.
He enjoys humouring you from time to time. As if this whole play wasn’t written by him. As though he hadn’t willed every single interaction on this path into motion. As if he wasn’t the devil’s advocate, whispering the sins you were to commit with his hypnotising voice.
He needed you with him on this path. It was all for the plan he had threaded together, he tried to convince himself.
The plan, yes. But Dazai is well aware that isn’t entirely true. And sometimes, a paranoid part of him thinks that you do too. Know for a fact that more than any of the plans — he did this for himself. He brought you and caged you into this world carved out of sin just for his own selfish reasons.
Not for Oda, not for the book, not for the sustenance of the world or any of those idealistic reasons — but for himself. Afterall, he was never an idealistic man to begin with. He was just a boy when it all started. A boy who had given up far too much and for once, wanted something for himself. He wanted you.
And so he did. He kept you. Weaved you into his spiderweb of grand plans. He often thinks back to how he knew everything there was to know about you, before he even got the chance to meet you for the first time. There you stood under the cold harsh lighting of that deserted old lab. He remembers how the flashes of his other lives played all at once. It almost felt as though he was reliving the memories through the sparks of light.
It was making him sick. Being able to witness in such excruciating detail of how he got to hold you so tenderly, in those worlds from the book. It made him feel intense emotions that he couldn’t even begin to describe. All he could do was just glance at those memories that were undoubtedly his own — and yet felt like he was watching them dance through the other side of a glass door. They’re all so painfully clear and yet there is a huge barrier in between.
Dazai has always been well aware that he never should have brought you into this. He knows that he shouldn’t have tried to find some sort of replica of the emotions he felt, as he replayed all his other lives. But he just couldn’t help it. He has to keep you alongside him. Hadn’t he sacrificed enough in this life? You’ve been so good to all the other versions of him, can’t you treat him the same in this one? You’ll forgive him, right? You love him, right?
You have to. There’s no other way out.
𓇚
Dazai’s mind undoubtedly wanders back to the first time you fainted from his touch. He knew it was going to happen — saw it as a staple part of you both meeting in all those worlds from the book.
He knew what was to come if he were to let his rough bandaged palm even slightly graze your warm one. You’d faint. Like you had in all the other worlds, of which he carried the heavy weight. Those memories all helped him create acute plans for this world. Yet, the ones that he cherished the most, the memories that weren’t a heavy burden to carry but instead some sort of salvation — the ones he replayed over and over again like a broken record in hopes to reach some sort of comfort — were the memories he shared with you.
In every world, your first meeting was something special, he kept those memories safely. Back when he was younger and the light in his eyes had not yet been entirely consumed — he used to find himself wondering how you both would meet in this world. How differently would it play out? It helped him distract himself from his surroundings and the heavy responsibilities. Those memories often flooded his mind as he gazed into nothing. In all of them, you always fainted when he first touched you. And after that too.
But, in all his other lives, it lessened over time, and eventually the fainting stopped. “It feels rather relaxing,” you had once said to him — in the original world. To the original version of him.
“It feels as though The Presence subdues for a bit, as if it were never there. Continue holding me like this, won't you?” you spoke to him so gently as you both layed on top of each other with his trenchcoat covering the both of you. It held so much comfort and warmth, like it was just you both in this world, rest all be damned. Dazai wished that adoration was directed to him and not the man of origin.
His heart aches at the thought. What could he do for you to talk to him the same in this world too? What would it take?
In all the other worlds — with time, you ended up building some sort of immunity, or rather you got used to his touch and even craved it. In every single world. Every world of the book, but this one.
You never seemed to have gotten used to his touch in this world. You still fainted. Every. Single. Time.
𓇚
Dazai hates it. He’s well aware of the fact that this world is special — after all it’s the only one where Oda ends up living. It’s a world that has been handcrafted by him alone. Each and every thread has been woven with a purpose in mind. Each action has a motive behind it. Which is exactly why he needs to sustain it. Yet he can’t help it — the jealousy that fumes within him. Jealous of himself? Such a stupid reason. He knows that and yet—
“Boss, here’s the report of on the foreign mercenary group that recently surged up, as you requested. I have sent my men to look through their abandoned hideout, although I’m sure you can already imagine the outcome.” you say as you hand him the files.
Dazai doesn’t quite understand why you continue to put up the professional facade when it’s just the two of you here. Yet, he decides to humour you.
He glances at files with mild disinterest, and then at your hand. A thought occurs in his head — among many others. It’s indulgent. Entirely so. You will not enjoy it one bit. And yet he’s also well aware of his track record of never really listening to what you want. He knows this will hamper a few upcoming tasks and meetings. But when has he ever given a damn about those? And so he decides to indulge himself. He takes the report from your hands in a smooth motion and accidentally brushes the tips of his fingers against yours.
It’s a brief touch, and it all happens in the flash of a second. You noticed it, he realises. You saw his intent building up and yet you still offered to hand him the files rather than just placing them on his desk.
His ability is always active, as is yours. You lose consciousness in seconds.
And you fall.
Right into his arms, like he planned you would. He glances at your face, there’s a serene glow emanating from you. Something about you is always pulling him in. He’s well aware of how you both are so intervened in each other’s lives that perhaps it was fated. Maybe he’s not entirely to blame for everything, or maybe that’s just wishful thinking on his part.
You look so relaxed like this, he thinks as he adjusts the both of you so that you can lay down in a more comfortable position. It’s often underestimated how tiring it must be to have the ability active at all times, especially one that is as draining as yours.
Perhaps, this could be an escape for you as well. Laying with him as both of your breathing falls into sync with one another. Or maybe he’s just cheating and controlling his heartbeat as he tries to come up with some valid excuse as to why he gave into his impulse. All while he continues to trace your face with his thumb. It’s a gentle motion, making sure to not disturb your slumber, though he doubts you’ll wake up from it. Your track record shows that you’ll usually be knocked out for the better half of the day.
The expression on your face is something he wishes to dissect. You look as though you’re in some dream far away from here. He wonders where you go when you lose consciousness. Will you ever take him with you? Doesn’t matter. He will follow you just the same.
Dazai can’t help but wonder what you would do if you found out about other worlds. Worlds where you weren’t led to such a life. Where he didn’t turn you into a weapon for his own motives. Would you hate him for it? When you are made to face all the other versions of you — the much happier, and brighter versions. Where in the light from your eyes hasn’t been entirely extinguished yet.
Dazai fears that you already know. Can’t help it when you both hold eye contact during brief meetings. At times he catches a glimpse of the space — somewhere in there — that he cannot reach. They often say that the devil’s arms reach far and wide, and yet he can’t help but feel there’s a large distance that he alone can’t cover, in his quest to reach you. (Dazai also knows that he is no devil. It has alwaye just been a title that was handed to him. He wonders if you know that, too.)
Afterall, you, too, have the look of someone who is hiding something. He understands the expression well enough — he has to meets those eyes every day in the mirror.
𓇚
That’s one of the many reasons he prefers you like this. With your eyes closed and breathing steady. You don’t give him the all knowing gaze, that you usually carry. He gets to hold you close, without it eating him up from the inside. Some sick part of him likes having this power over you. Being able to hold it above your head any time he likes. He would never use it against you though. Not really.
Your breathing is rhythmic. A constant motion. He has memorised your breathing pattern over the years. To the point where it’s almost comforting to listen to it. Almost.
His hand hovers from your cheeks to sliding right at the base of your neck. Something swells inside of him. Something sinister. He can’t help but feel a little drunk. Drunk over the control he has over you right now — your life. He can continue to feel as guilty as he likes, but it’s no secret what exactly he’s guilty of.
Dazai gently steadies your head and moves it so that it’s resting on his chest. He then tries to bring his focus back to the papers that continue to lay on his desk, and then glances at the ones that fell on the floor. Lord knows how much that slug would nag him if he didn’t finish reading these by now. So annoying.
He tries to push his focus on reading them, but the comfort of having you so close against him is really distracting. It’s contrasting, really, how your body spreads such warmth against his cold one. Like a single candlelight that continues to glow in the cold stark night.
You both should do this more often, he thinks. Though you might end up hating him for it. But that won’t be an issue in the near future, considering what’s to come — the plans written in the book.
What will be an issue is Chuuya barging through the black doors and seeing you both in such a precarious position — then he might proceed to quite literally kill Dazai. No matter if he’s the boss of the Port Mafia or not.
Afterall, Chuuya is probably the closest companion you have in this world. You both make sure to look out for one another as much as you can. It’s almost as if you both have this air of understanding, that Dazai often feels disconnected from.
Is it because you both are vessels? Or because he uses you both similarly and keeps you both on leashes? Or is it some form of familial bonding that his emotional nerve receptors are far too fused out to understand?
Dazai doesn’t know. He doesn’t know that you don’t necessarily hate him. That you never did. He doesn’t know that you let him do as he wills. He doesn’t know that no matter how much he thinks of himself as the ‘mastermind’ it’s you who handed him the reins. The one that held the other end of the leash that was hung on your neck and placed it right into the palm of his hands.
𓇚
“Men will be men,” The lady in the white lab coat had once said to you.
“They shall always believe that they were the ones who invented the wheel. They shall always come close to calling themselves ‘creators’ of it all. They do not understand.”
Neither did you, back then. All you could really remember were the sparks she sent flying towards you — no mercy.
To those people in the lab coats that stood behind the glass — observing you like you were some lab rat and noted down the reactions your body gave out cynically — you weren’t some kid. Not some seven year old that probably should’ve been playing in park with kids her age or discussing the latest episode of some show that always aired at six in the evening.
No, you were just a vessel. A means to an end. That’s all you were as they watched you writhing through the glass, taking in the after effects of the electricity coursing through your veins. Sometimes, you still feel the sparks travelling through your body and the night repeats. This time — it’s in your head. Yet it hurts all the same.
But what that lady didn’t understand was that Dazai was no man. He never felt like one, at the very least. No matter how many masks he puts on to fill in the gaps of self — that one hollow part of him never fills up. He’s afraid it never will.
He never felt connected to those around him — to humanity. The best he could have had was Oda, and he didn’t exactly get to experience that in this world. So, as a self preserving tactic, he tries to form some scrappy sense of comfort with what's left for him and take it from you instead. Some part of him felt like you know this too, and let it happen.
In some wild way it’s fitting, he thinks. It makes sense that this world was meant to be special. It’s the only one where Oda will be able to continue living and eventually write that novel. It’s the only one where Dazai will finally fulfill his long running wish. It only makes sense that there are innumerable amount of exceptions.
Not only are the shin-soukoku switched and roles have been exceptionally reversed, new anomalies continue to rise up as days go by. That’s part of the reason why he decided to make you part of the Port Mafia. To deal with those anomalies efficiently, since your ability was perfect to cut through them all.
𓇚
If anyone were to barge in right now, they would be greeted with an extremely bizzare sight. The boss of Port Mafia, one of — if not the most feared man in Yokohama — gazing gently at you as his dark figure envelopes you completely. In some humourous way it almost looks like a black cat holding it’s prey close, making sure it doesn’t get snatched.
He likes it, he supposes. The way you look so serene in the low lighting of his office. How your head rests right next to his bandaged heart. He adores the way you your lips settle into a soft pout in your sleep. You seem much more honest with your expressions when you’re asleep than when you’re awake. You look so inviting, he just can’t help himself.
He’s in too deep — you’ve had to have put him under a spell of sorts. There’s no other logical explanation to the way you’ve made him do such illogical things. How could you have reduced him of all people — the demon prodigy and Mori’s successor into such a state? Since he was a child logic has been drilled into his very bones. Every strategy and it’s counter. The side of him that was built to be made a mafiaso has always been rational.
What he failed to take into account is that to you he’s just — Dazai. There’s no other valid explanation to how you’ve enamoured and caged his heart in the tender embrace of your palms, in every single world of the book.
So he gives in, he lets himself fall. He leans down to place a soft kiss onto your lips. With as much gentleness as he can muster up — given his disposition. It was supposed to be nothing more than a soft peck. What he didn’t see coming was how as your eyes began to flutter open and how you kissed him back.

A Hunter's Prey

The forest whispered your name.
Its branches reached for you like curious fingers, sunbeams slipping through tangled leaves like golden threads. You ran—bare feet brushing moss and fallen petals, heart pounding with every beat that echoed Vil’s last command.
"She must be eliminated."
You had overheard it, hidden behind the grand velvet curtain in the throne room. Vil’s voice was honey-dipped poison, beautiful even in cruelty. And though you had once loved her as a sister, the Queen’s heart had turned colder with every glance cast into her ornate mirror.
"Rook, you will be my arrow. Hunt her."
You stumbled into a clearing, gasping for air, and there he was.
Rook Hunt.
The Queen’s favorite hunter. A man cloaked in green and gold, as elegant as he was dangerous. His eyes were a piercing green, sharper than the knives strapped at his belt. A smile played at his lips, serene, unreadable.
“My dear princess,” he greeted with a low bow, his feathered hat sweeping the grass. “The forest has welcomed you warmly.”
Your back hit the trunk of a tree. “You’re here to kill me.”
He didn’t deny it. “Oui.”
Silence stretched. A breeze stirred his blond hair.
“But you haven’t drawn your blade,” you whispered.
“Non.” He stepped closer, eyes trailing the frightened tremble in your shoulders, the light in your eyes that still glowed despite the fear. “You are radiant, like morning dew kissed by dawn. Even the cruelest arrow hesitates before such beauty.”
You shook your head. “If Vil finds out you disobeyed—”
“He already suspects my heart is too soft,” he said lightly. “But it is not softness. It is admiration. I do not wish to end a song before it is sung.”
Rook knelt before you, pulling from his pouch a carved box.
“He desires your heart in this,” he said. “But I will give him a lie.”
You stared as he opened it—inside, a perfect rose carved from stone, stained crimson. It was an imitation. Beautiful. Believable.
“He will be satisfied... for now.”
Your voice was a whisper. “Why are you helping me?”
Rook rose, gaze burning like sunlight through leaves. “Because I hunt only the most wondrous prey. And you, ma chère, are not meant to be slain. You are meant to survive.”
He leaned in, brushing a lock of hair from your face with the gentlest touch. “Run deeper into the forest. There are friends there. A cottage of curious souls who will guard you well. And when the Queen learns of my deceit, I will lead her astray. For the fairest one of all deserves more than a tombstone.”
You stared at him, heart caught between awe and fear.
And then you ran—into the trees, into the unknown—while behind you, the Huntsman stood still, watching with reverence, as though he had just released a dream into the wind.
The day had been warm.
You had just finished sweeping the front step of the little woodland cottage—the one Rook had guided you toward before vanishing back into the trees. The forest had been kind. The birds sang your name, deer nuzzled your palms, and the cottage's tiny inhabitants had welcomed you with wide, curious eyes and gentle hearts.
It almost made you forget the fear that once shadowed your every breath.
Almost.
Until she arrived.
An old woman, cloaked in faded lilac and tattered lace, bent-backed with a basket of gleaming fruit.
“Good afternoon, dear,” she rasped, smiling through cracked lips. “Such a lovely young girl. May an old traveler rest here a moment?”
You hesitated. But kindness was your nature, and you nodded. “Of course, ma’am.”
She sat gratefully, setting her basket beside you. “You must be lonely in this forest. A pretty thing like you deserves a treat.”
She held out an apple.
It was the color of velvet blood. Shiny. Perfect. The kind of red that belonged in storybooks, in dreams. Or nightmares.
You blinked. “That’s very kind, but—”
“Ah, don’t be shy,” she crooned. “A single bite, and you’ll taste happiness itself.”
Your fingers brushed the skin of the fruit. Cold. Too cold.
Still… it gleamed like something forbidden and divine. And for a moment, you imagined sharing a slice with Rook, laughing under a golden sun.
You raised it to your lips.
A crisp sound.
The bite crunched between your teeth, sweet and sharp all at once.
Then—
Agony.
Your throat burned. Your fingers spasmed, the apple tumbling to the ground. The world tilted, spun, darkened.
You gasped for breath but none came.
And as you fell, skirts fanned around you like a wilting flower, you saw the old woman straighten. Too tall. Too graceful. Her disguise dissolved like mist, replaced with beauty too perfect to be human.
Vil.
Eyes like shattered mirrors stared down at you, glittering with triumph and something darker.
“The fairest one of all,” he murmured coldly. “No longer.”
Darkness bloomed in the corners of your eyes. The last thing you saw was Vil’s silhouette turning away—flawless, unbothered, victorious.
And the shattered red of the apple glinting beside your still hand.
It was the silence that told him.
Rook had always known the forest by its song—the rustle of leaves, the gossip of birds, the heartbeat of life. But today, the silence clung like mourning veils, too still, too heavy. As if the forest itself were holding its breath.
When he reached the clearing, he stopped breathing too.
There you lay.
A coffin of glass nestled in a bed of moss and violet petals. The woodland creatures had gathered—silent witnesses to beauty preserved and a tragedy unfinished. Seven small figures stood in solemn vigil, heads bowed, eyes damp.
You looked untouched by death. Frozen in the moment of slumber, lips still parted from the last breath you took. Skin pale as winter’s first snow. Hands folded over your chest, one lock of hair curling against your cheek like the gentle brush of a lover’s hand.
Rook fell to his knees.
“Mon trésor…” he breathed, voice cracking with a sound he had never made before. It was not poetic. It was not elegant.
It was raw.
He touched the glass with trembling fingers. “No... this is not how your story ends.”
They told him what happened. Of the old woman with eyes too sharp, of the apple’s gleam, of how you crumpled to the earth like a fallen star.
And Rook knew.
Vil.
His Queen. His muse. His cruel perfection.
He clenched his jaw until it ached.
But he did not shatter the glass. He did not scream.
Instead, he knelt beside you for days.
He spoke to you in soft murmurs—verses from songs he once sang, stories of hunts you never heard, promises left unspoken.
“You were never prey,” he whispered once. “You were the moonlight. And I... I was too late to follow its path.”
The forest wept with him.
But still, your lips remained still. Still red. Still parted.
Still waiting.
The coffin lay untouched beneath the flowering tree.
Each petal that drifted from above kissed the glass with reverence, as if even nature mourned her. Within, you lay—still, unaging, as if slumber had preserved your beauty just as it had your breath.
Rook Hunt had never feared silence until now.
He stood before the glass, boots soaked with dew, cloak heavier than before. His bow was slung over his shoulder, forgotten. In his hands, he carried a single white lily.
He laid it beside you.
The dwarves had said the spell was unbreakable. That nothing—no magic, no potion—could draw breath back to your lips.
But Rook, hunter of beauty, believed in more than logic.
He believed in love.
He knelt.
“My princess,” he whispered, voice like a prayer. “You still steal my breath, even now, in your quiet sleep. But I have grown selfish. I wish to hear you speak again. To see you smile and know that it was not a memory.”
He placed a hand against the glass.
“It should have been me,” he murmured. “I was meant to protect you. I was meant to defy her, not just with words but with action. I was a coward with poetry and no sword.”
The forest held its breath.
“And yet… if the stories are true, if even one tale holds a grain of hope…”
He stood, leaning over the coffin. His fingers unlatched the cover with the gentleness of snow melting in spring. A soft creak broke the stillness.
He bent forward.
“This is not a goodbye,” he said, brushing his lips to your forehead. Then, to your lips—warm despite the stillness.
A kiss.
Not one of grandeur or ceremony. But a kiss filled with all the words he had never said. All the hunts he would have abandoned just to keep you safe. All the silent sonnets in his heart.
And then—
A breath.
Your fingers twitched.
Rook’s eyes widened, breath catching as you gasped—like surfacing from deep water. Your chest rose, lashes fluttered, and your lips parted as a trembling whisper escaped:
“...Rook?”
Tears blurred his vision.
“Oui,” he choked, gripping your hand with both of his. “Oui, mon cœur. I’m here.”
You stared at him, dazed but alive.
And Rook Hunt, the hunter sent to kill you, the man who once walked with shadows, now wept in the light of your awakening.
The curse was broken.
Not with a blade.
But with love.

On the first snowfall

Fairytale AU
Prince! Zayne x princess! Reader
Contents: depictions of violence (not hardcore because I am soft) , mentions of injuries and blood , slightly suggestive at the end , childhood friends to lovers. Angst but happy ending (yippie)
Synopsis: After merely dodging an assignation attempt from his own stepbrother , Prince Zayne fell in a deep slumber ter getting tricked by the evil Queen and only a true love kiss can bring him back . will his dear pain in the ass of a childhood friend save him ? There's only one way to find out .(based off Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs )
Word count : 8.9k
A/N: this took me forever to finish (4 days to be exact). It's my first long fic and English is not my first language so please be kind. Reblogs and like are appreciated. Happy reading !!
"Please Daddy" the toddler tugged at Zayne's sleeve lips jutting out in a small pout that made her resemble so much to her mother
"Ok but you promise you'll go back to bed after" Zayne sighed in defeat it was past curfew and his little angel seemed intent to give him an hard time.
The little girl nodded, hazel eyes lighting up at the prospect of getting a bedtime story.
Zayne picked her up effortlessly making his way towards the bed to lay down on her bed full of plushies
With his daughter tucked comfortably against his side on the small bed he spoke in a rather monotone voice.
"Once upon a time , in a kingdom far far away lived a prince"
"Was he pretty ?" She interrupted him , voice filled with childlike excitement and wonder.
"According to some yes" he replied making small projections with his evol.
"This prince lived with His dad and never knew his mother"
"What happened to her?" She asked tilting her head like a sad puppy .
Not wanting to crush the 5 years old little girl's spirit Zayne choose his next words carefully.
"She joined the Angels up in the skies where she now look after him" he replied
"Oohh" her lips was forming a small Oh, surprise painting her soft features.
Zayne felt his heart melt at the sight , the love he felt for this literally bundle of joy too overwhelming.
"One day the prince's father the king got married to another woman , who had a son" Zayne continued the story while she listened intently, eyes flickering over the snow figures he created with his evol to animate the story.
"The Queen didn't like our prince none bit"
"Why?" She asked pouting.
"Well because, my snowflake, the Queen wanted her son to become the next king" he retorted flicking her nose which make her pout deepens
"But our prince was there first" she huffed crossing her small arms over her chest.
Zayne just smiled patting her hair that was already ruffled from turning in her bed before picking the story where he left it.
"One day there was a big event taking place in the Palace. An hunt where the Winner will have to go in a forest and catch the biggest and fastest animal and bring it back to the Princess to earn a kiss from her"
"You're not considering participating right Zayne?"
Her voice made the young man jolt almost dropping his book.
"You" he looked at her who was standing on her tip toe to peek over his shoulder.
Adjusting his glasses he replied
"I am the Prince of Eladia , it is my duty to attend"
"You know there's no need" she waved him off "I am willing to give you a kiss whenever you-" her words got cut off by Zayne's hand who dragged her in a secluded corner , the tip of his ear flushed red , eyes darting around awkwardly to make sure nobody heard them.
"So you want it now?" She smirked deviously at him , her words slightly muffled by his hand he hastily removed.
What is wrong with her?
"This is not-" a sigh "this is not what you think" he pinched the bridge of his nose but her smirk just got wider
"Sure your majesty" she nudged his elbow playfully before speaking in a more serious tone "but Seriously Zayne you really shouldn't participate to this hunt"
"And may I know why ?" He shook his head
Not even letting her answer he strutted his way ahead leaving her rotted to her spot.
"Why is he so rude?" The little girl exclaimed making Zayne stammer in his tale , the tip of his ear flushing bright pink.
"He might be a bit stubborn" he replied before continuing
"I've heard the forest is dangerous with weird creatures roaming in it" she jogged after him but he was quicker , his legs way longer .
"You've heard, not seen" he retorted pace not faltering.
What a jerk I am looking out for him and this is how he Thanks me ? She thought to herself.
"But isn't it better to be prepared?" She retorted holding the pans of her dress while literally chasing after him , not even a care for the weird glances the servants and the Guards were casting toward them.
Everyone in this palace knew the Prince of Eladia and the princess of Eralyon were close.
"I will be" Zayne reassured her finally stopping in his track.
"Fine" she sighed raising her hands in surrender "go ahead and participate but you better win because ain't no way I am kissing that pearlescent frog" she jabbed a finger in his chest earning a small smile from him.
He caught her wrist gently before bringing it to his lips and leave a delicate kiss on her skin.
"Anything for you your highness" he murmured against her skin , hazel eyes looking up at her.
She quickly withdrew her hand from his grasp , feeling her cheeks flush and her heart thump
"Hmm w-well" she stammered , words failling her . Cheeks blushing the prettiest shade of pink he has ever seen.
"All I can say is good luck and make sure to come back in one piece." She uttered after finally regaining her bearings
"I sure will" he nodded but she was already making her way toward God knows where leaving him dumbfounded in the alley.
What's wrong ? Was kissing her wrist inappropriate?
Zayne's eyes followed her form until she turned into a corner. Mind still mulling over her reaction as he made his way to the Royal library to return the book he was reading.
"How I hate this" she muttered herself, moving her fan like she was wrestling with it , this dress felt too tight , the heat unbearable even if they were outdoor .
The Queen was sitting on a small platform while the princess was sitting alone on another. The King well wasn't present because he was ill its been 3 months since he doesn't step out of his room. Only the Queen knows about his whereabouts.
The princess's eyes were roaving around the crowd below searching for Zayne When her eyes fell on him she quickly excused herself to go wish him Good luck.
"Zayne" she sauntered over him., eyes filled with a mixture of excitement and worry.
A small smile crept up Zayne's lips when his eyes fell on her.
"I cant believe you didn't listen to me" she crossed her arms over her chest, a small pout tugging at her lips .
She looked so adorable he caught himself of thinking about leaning down and kissing that pout of her lips.
"I thought you gave me your blessing" he said tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear making a small shiver ran down her spine.
"You were gonna take part with my blessing or not" she retorted batting his hand away. "Just come back safely" she murmured in a small voice hands grasping his
He looked down at their hands before looking back at her face
"Why do you worry so much about me?"
His question seemed to catch her off of guard making her sputter out
"Because you're my friend of course" yet she didn't seem herself convinced by her words "and you have to win because I am not kissing that pearlescent frog you have for a brother" she let go of his hand to cross her arms over her chest .
Zayne was tempted to prob further but the sound of clarion interrupted them.
Before he could hop on his horse she took his hand and left a kiss on the top of his palm.
"Good luck kiss" she winked at him before making her way to her seat leaving him a fluttery mess of heartbeat and flushed cheeks.
The princess made her way toward her seat, eyes heavy with a mixture of sorrow and sadness she couldn't quite pinpoint.
Zayne rode through the forest mind still reeling from the unexpected kiss she gave him , he could still feel the skin where her lips touched him tingling.
Get a grip Zayne he scolded himself. You're here for a purpose not to daydream like lovesick fool.
The sound of scrunching leaves made his ear perk up , his horse coming to a stop when he felt a shadowy presence around him.
The forest was eerily quiet, not even a bird singing only the rustle of leaves could be heard . Drawing his bow , his senses were on high alert ready to eliminate Whatever threat was lurking in this dense forest
"Well well look like his majesty can't even catch a simple prey" his stepbrother's voice Christian echoed , grating his ear as always.
"Christian" he lowered his bow , eyeing him suspiciously. "I dont recall inviting you"
Christian let out a small laugh stepping out the shadow, brown locks neatly styled , gray eyes filled with mischief. Hands raised in mock surrender
"Relax brother we're on the same boat aren't we ?" He grinned pearly white teeth gleaming like fang "both fighting for the princess's Attention and maybe more"
Zayne ignored him getting off of his horse to lead it through the dense foliage.
Christian was never up to no good and he wouldn't let him ruin his day , nope not today not when he has a beautiful princess waiting for him with a kiss.
"Do what you want" Zayne spoke not sparing him a glance. "Just stay out of my way"
Christian just trailed behind him, unnervingly silent
"The princess seems quite fond of you" he observed trying hard to sound disinterested "Its a shame you didn't listen to her" he shrugged nonchalantly
"What the-" before Zayne could process anything he found himself pined against a tree a dagger pressing against his stomach
"Such a shame we could have been best buddies" he let out a dramatic sigh , eyes gleaming with a feral hunger "all because you had to be a legitimate son" he tsked dagger piercing through Zayne's stomach making hot white splashes of pain wash over him , the metallic tang of blood filling his mouth.
He withdrew his dagger , letting Zayne slump against the ground
"Its nothing personal you know" Christian reassured him cleaning his dagger in Zayne's overpriced coat "just politics and dont worry" he pressed his feet down Zayne's wound making him choke on his own blood . "I'll make sure to take care of your princess , I bet her lips taste sweeter than those desserts you love to indulge yourself in Huh?" he smirked feet pressing harder against Zayne's stomach.
"Rest in peace , your highness, the kingdom will hardly misses you" he bowed dramatically before turning his heels leaving Zayne for dead in the deep forest
The young man couldn't do nothing but lay there in his own blood as his murderer walked away leaving him hopeless mind swirling with thoughts of her , his mom, his father , her bright smile when she found him crying in the palace gardens after his mom death , how she offered him sweet to brighten his day , how he likes them since that day.
What a shame she will never know how her smile brighten up his day , how he loves seeing her scrunch up her nose in annoyance when he tease her too much or how he likes it when she openly flirt with him even if he pretend he's annoyed by it . She will never know how much he loves her, never know how much he wanted to win so she won't have to kiss his brother but it was too late now laying in the blood soaked ground , only his dead body and regrets remain.
"Is he dead ?" The little girl tugged at Zayne's wrist making his heart clench in his chest.
"No my little snowflake" he reassured her stroking her cheeks gently.
She nudged closer to him , her head resting against his shoulder waiting for him to continue.
The princess was pacing back and forth in her room , heart twisting with worry . It was already late in the evening and Zayne haven't returned.
"Be safe , be safe" she continued to murmur , clutching the jade necklace he offered her for her 18th birthday 3 years ago.
"Your highness" the sound of 2 guards standing at her doorstep pulled her out of her trance and before she knew it she was standing in front of them.
"What happened? Has his majesty returned?" She fired question after question, her anxiety coming off in a wave.
The guard looked oddly uncomfortable, eyes darting away from her.
"What's wrong? Where's Zayne?" She pressed on
"His majesty hasn't came back" one guard spoke up eyes looking anywhere but her
"According to Sir Christian" the other continued "he got attacked by a beast and didn't make it"
"Bullshit"
The guard's eyes widened. It was the first time they heard the princess Swear .
"Zayne is the best archer in the kingdom unless that beast was a certain pearlescent frog , I don't believe your charades" she waved them off strutting her way out of the room
"Your highness where are you going ?" The guards called out after her
"Going to do your job since you are so incompetent at it" she shouted adjusting her cloak.
"The princess did what?"
"S-she left" a small gasp left the messenger's lips when the butter knife that was in the Queen's hand flew pass his head.
"This little Eralyon brat" she stifled through her teeth before excusing the trembly messenger
"No need to get so worked up Mother" Christian who just arrived in the dining room patted her shoulder.
"She's just a little girl with no defense ,a damsel in distress and who will be the prince that will save her?" He offered his mother that same mischievous smile.
"You" she scoffed "but that still doesn't solve our issue"
"What issue ?" Christian plopped himself on a chair across the dining table
"You haven't done your job properly Christian, he's still alive" she retorted
The man drew a long breath , the gears already turning in his mind .
"How could you be sure ? The dagger was poisoned and the wound was fatal"
"Those nuisances of creatures saved him , the mirror told me so"
Ah this infamous magical mirror, such a pain in the ass Christian thought.
"So now what do you suggest?" He asked caressing his stubble.
"We finish the job obviously" she rolled her eyes as if the answer wasnt obvious.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~◇~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Is he alive ?" A fluttery voice asked
"Obviously- what the fuck!!! Why are you naked? we have guest over"
"Narilyn stole my clothes- ouch! That hurts"
Zayne's head was throbbing , the pain in his stomach almost unbearable and now he was hearing voice ?? Was he in hell?
"Stop fighting you 2" another voice more mature, more firm "you're disturbing his sleep"
Zayne's eyes fluttered open only to see 3 colored heads snapping back toward him
"He's awake" the same fluttery voice exclaimed making the blue haired being smack a book on her head.
"PUT SOME FUCKING CLOTHES ON" she continued to smack her making her fly away.
Wait fly . Zayne eyes widened further . Aren't those early signs of schizophrenia ?
"No you arent dreaming" the white haired one who seemed the oldest spoke up.
Zayne had so much question . How did he get here ? Wasnt he supposed to be dead ? What were those winged being ?
As if reading his mind the white haired fairy provided him with answers
"We found you for dead in the forest and brought you here and as for what we are-"
"We are the 7 guardians of the forest" Zayne was startled by the presence of another fairy , this one had green hair and eyes , long wings shining with bright glitter that looked like stardust.
"Narylin" she offered him her hand with a bright smile. Zayne hesitated to grasp it still confused by this situation but she didn't seem to mind .
"Narylin you pest give me back my clothes" the fairy who was still apparently naked exclaimed, blonde hair sticking to her skin as she tried her best to avoid her sister's book attack.
"I didn't take it" Narylin shrugged while the white haired fairy let out an heavy sigh.
"I am here" another presence stepped inside the small house only to quickly bend down to avoid a lamp thrown after the blonde fairy.
"They are fighting again" the red haired fairy who just arrived shook her head.
Feeling her patience wearing thin the white haired fairy flicked her fingers making them stop their useless bickering.
The fairies all gathered around her after the blonde one successfully found her clothes.
"State your name stranger" the purple haired one pointed a lance at him making the blonde one giggle and the blue haired facepalm herself
"Melida this is not how we greet a guest" the oldest scolded her gently.
Zayne just watched them dumbfounded, the fairies were no bigger than a water bottle , there were 7 of them all with different hair colors and translucent wings that shone brightly.
"Its an honor to meet you, your majesty" the withe haired one bowed at him making the other follow suit.
They knew he was the prince ? How ?
"I-" Zayne's words failed him , this was too outlandish to be true , he never believed in fairytales or the existence of strange creatures not even when the princess would tell him tales about them.
"The pleasure is mine?" He found himself replying , the words more like a question than a statement but that seemed to satisfy them.
"I am Sonia" the blonde haired one exclaimed flying land on his shoulder.
"And this is Melida." She pointed at the purple haired one , "Hydrangea" blue haired one that chased after her for dear life "Lily" red haired one , "Narilyn" green haired one "Rose" pink haired one "and our older sister "Sapphire" she pointed at the white haired one. She was the only fairy whose eyes were a different color than her hair , they were blue not white.
"What about you ? What's your name ?" Sonia inquired head tilted to the side to look at him.
"Zayne" he murmured eyes snapping from Sapphire
"Zayne it's pretty like you" she giggled
"Its pretty like you" she smiled brightly.
Zayne felt his head throb at the memory eyes screwing shut as the pain washed over him.
"We should let him rest he still hasn't healed properly" Sapphire said making everyone hang their head low in shame.
Sonia who was perched on his shoulder flew towards the rest of her sisters leaving him alone.
"Rest well your majesty" she waved at him.
Zayne waved back at her mind swirling with unanswered questions.
He plopped himself down on the small bed he was resting on thinking.
He's alive . Well that's a good sign . But how many times has passed since he's here? Does everyone think he's dead ? Does she think he's dead ? Is she alright ? Knowing how stubborn she could be , she's probably searching for him everywhere but even him didn't know where the hell he was Exactly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~♡~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What made her think hopping on an horse and rode through this forest a good idea?
The thing you'd do for love. Wait love no she's not in love with him, she's just doing her duty as a future Queen and his bestfriend. That's it.
"Yeah that's it- AHH" the footsteps of nearby horse made her own drop her
"Fuck" she massaged her head taking of dead leaves stuck on the strands
"Princess, princess" Christian tsked kneeling to be at her eyes level "don't you know this forest is dangerous for such a precious thing like you"
"You tell me it seems the perfect a habitat for a pearlescent frog like you" she shrugged leaning against her palms.
Christian chuckled trying his best to mask his irritation
"Such a sharp tongue" he cupped her chin , thumb caressing her bottom lip "makes me wonder if it can only give witty remarks"
she felt a wave disgust washes over her . Bile rising up her throat
Who the hell does he think he is ?
"It can also bite" she retorted making his eyebrows furrow before he could process her words she bit him hard enough to draw blood before starting to run away in the dense forest
"This little bitch" he hissed "get her" he ordered the Guards "seems like I'll have to teach this Eralyon brat a lesson"
She ran as fast as possible, her heart pounding in her chest, breath erratic. She didn't have a destination in mind, engulfing herself deeper in the dark forest without a care for her safety. She needed to get away from this mad bastard and find Zayne.
But alas, fate had other things in store for her since she tripped on a dead branch and fell flat on her face, the impact causing the breath to get knocked out of her lungs.
No, you can't stop now. She was about to stand up and keep running, but Christian's booted foot pressed against her shoulder blade, pushing her against the ground.
"Such a shame, Princess. If only you didn't have to be so difficult," he yanked her by her hair while she tried to fight off his grip.
"So feisty. I'm going to have so much fun with you, Princess of Eralyon," he grinned ,nosing her pulse while she felt like throwing up. "I'll tame you," he murmured against her neck, inhaling her scent, "make you my little puppet."
"In your dreams, Christian," she spat, eyes blazing with fury.
"A dream that's about to become true," he chuckled darkly before injecting a potion into her side, making her body fall limp in his arms.
He carried her back to his horse after instructing the guards to get back to the palace.
Zayne was getting better with the fairies tending to his wounds when they weren't busy fighting that is
"It's mine" Hydrangea shouted hugging the small snowman Zayne made for them with his evol.
"Nope" Sonia countered pushing Hydrangea off the snowman with a jet of gold glitters "my friend's confection, mine" she retorted standing on top of the snowman, wings fluttering.
"And stop fighting over this human ?" Melida who was sharpening her weapon added
"Will you 2 stop shouting for 2 minutes? There's people trying to read in peace" Lily who was reading a book interrupted them
"Its her fault" the blue haired fairy pointed at Sonia who stuck her tongue out mockingly.
Zayne just observed their interaction with a small smile while chopping the vegetables for dinner.
The oldest fairy suggested that he stayed here until he completely heal . The others were eager for hjm to stay (Sonia and Narilyn in particular) while Melida was still wary of him.
"Your majesty are you single?" Sonia asked flying to rest on his shoulder which seemed to be her favorite spot.
The question caught Zayne off of guard making his cheeks flush
"Mmh I guess" he replied focusing on the dinner he was making.
"You guess ?" Hydrangea tilted his head at him , eyeing him suspiciously.
"I mean I am not engaged or married" he shrugged, stirring the pot on the stove.
"Strange your heart says otherwise" Rose the pink haired fairy spoke up , she has the softest voice out of them all.
"Haha told you he was taken" Hydrangea exclaimed before dodging the pea thrown by Sonia who was pouting arms crossed over her chest.
"How would you know?" Zayne asked in disbelief.
"Rose is a fairy of love of course she knows when someone's heart is taken" Lily who was still absorbed in her book replied.
"And your dear crush is" Hydrangea taunted Sonia who was now on top of her fighting again.
"Why would you have a crush on a human?" Melida who finally put her weapon down scoffed.
"Yeah he's so big it's not like it's gonna fit" Narilyn who appeared out of nowhere shrugged making Zayne's eyebrows furrow
"What is not gonna fit?" Zayne asked curiously making Sonia's cheeks flush red and Hydrangea giggle.
"How is he so innocent?" Lily whispered under her breath.
Some days when They weren't bickering they all gathered around Zayne to hear him talk about his life back at the palace or the princess who've taken his heart (not that he'll ever admit it )
Days turned into weeks and even if Zayne appreciated the fairies and their care one part of him longed to return to his home , to see his people, to see her , hold her, kiss h- no Zayne get ahold of yourself
They were in the forest, picking up branches and berries for dinner when the pink haired fairy came up to him with a flower crown in her hands
"And a flower crown for the prettiest prince of the kingdom" Rose put the flowery crown on his head making his heart melt and his mind jog back to vivid memories
"I am the only prince of the kingdom and what's that for ?" The 14 years old boy asked , his eyebrows furrowing in confusion
"Consider this as a pre wedding gift until you actually accept to marry me" she replied resting her hands on her hips
"aren't we a little bit too young for that?" He asked adjusting the crown on his head
"Why ?" She muttered creeping behind him to steal a glance at his book "we are both from Royal family arent we ?" She smiled looking up at him and she was so close , her perfume enveloping him in a soft cloud.
"you cant even tie your own shoelaces properly and you're already thinking about wedding" he flicked her forehead playfully causing her to let out a small oof nose scrunching up in annoyance
"I'll have you know I can perfectly tie my shoelaces" (lie she couldn't) she retorted rubbing the sore spot on her forehead "and beside I don't need that to get married"
"To get married to me you do" he countered already making his way ahead while she trailed behind him. "And beside as I said you're too young" he added making her huff
"I am 12 years old already" she retorted clutching the hem of her dress while she tried to keep up with his pace.
"Exactly too young" he deadpanned still walking ahead , flower crown sitting perfectly on his head.
He really hoped his words would dissuade her but it seemed doing quite the opposite
"Does that mean you'll marry me when I get older?" She asked , eyes gleaming with excitement
Please no.
Zayne let out an heavy sigh finally turnin back to face her.
"If you can tie your shoelaces by this time, then yes" he nodded , the tip of his ear turning red while his eyes darted away awkwardly
"But I can tie my shoelac-"
"We both know that's not true" Zayne retorted pointing at her shoelaces that were undone
Before she could say anything he bent down on one knee to tie her shoelaces leaving her dumbfounded and blushing like a tomato
"Here future wife" he winked at her.
"Future wife" Zayne smiled to himself caressing the Jasmine petals of the flowers crown sitting on his head
"You really do love her, dont you?" Rose sat down on his shoulder pink eyes looking up at him
"Who ?" Zayne asked in disbelief
"Your princess" Rose offered him a soft smile
"You're mistaken" Zayne shrugged making her fly off his shoulder. "She's my friend"
"It doesn't change the fact that your heart belongs to her" she retorted shrugging her shoulders playfully while Zayne bent down to pick up a stray branch.
"Aren't you planning to tell her ?" She asked wings fluttering as she flew around him
"There's nothing to tell" he replied making his way deeper through the woods
"Are humans always this stubborn or is it just you?" She asked her voice soft and genuine.
"Its not called being stubborn, it's the truth" he mused aloud adjusting the strap of the bag that was carrying the wood for the fire.
"It doesn't sound like it" she retorted
Now she was the one being stubborn. He thought
They continued to bicker (more like Rose trying to open his eyes and make him realize he's hopelessly in love. ) unaware of the fact the Queen was observing them through her enchanted mirror.
"Stupid creatures" she spat under her breath nails digging in her palms
"Why cant he just die?" She muttered to herself voice dripping with venom before turning her head to the princess who was trapped in a deep slumber
"Hopefully we got the perfect bait" she smiled , creeping closer to the girl peacefully asleep .
Once she was at her level , she cut a strand of her hair to carry on her schemes.
"Dont worry dear" she caressed her face "your beloved will join you soon" her devilish laugh rang across the room bouncing off against the walls
"The wound is healing nicely, you'll be able to go back home in a few days" Sapphire who was checking his almost non existent wound spoke up.
"What do you mean 'go back'?" Sonia who was playing card with Hydrangea and Narilyn exclaimed making her way to where Zayne was sitting on the bed
"You didn't seriously expect he'd stay here?" Melida scowled but Sonia's eyes were already gleaming with tears making Zayne's heart clench.
Even if it was hard to believe during this short time Zayne spent here , he's grown quite fond of the fairies , even if they fought (over him) a lot , he found their relationship endearing .
"I mean" he rubbed the back of his neck nervously "I have to go back to my duties"
"And his lover" Hydrangea added earning a glare from Sonia
"But you won't forget about us right ?" Rose who also flew towards where he was sitting asked in a gentle voice pink eyes shining with a mixture of sadness and hope.
"Of course no" Zayne reassured them and before he knew it they were all tackling him on the bed in a group hug even Melida who seemed hostile towards him at first (and still now)
Zayne hugged them back carefully to not crush them with his arms when a shout of his name echoed outside.
This voice.
"ZAYNE" another shout.
"Who dare interrupting us ?" Melida grumbled under breath before they all carefully untangled from Zayne.
"Zayne" the girl shouted again voice bordering on desperation.
Zayne stepped out the small house only to fall face to face with her , his princess, his love , the one he spent all those days longing for , all those nights dreaming of .
"You're here" he whispered, he couldn't believe it , she was there standing in all of her glory. Face lighting up when her eyes fell on him.
"Zayne" she ran towards him arms wrapping around his neck to squeeze him tightly "you're alive, I was so worried" she cupped her cheeks to look closely at his face "I thought you were dead" her thumbs stroked his cheeks softly.
Zayne's head was swimming in an ocean of relief and joy , his love was there , she was there with him looking way to lively , clean and polished for someone who just rode all the way through those woods
The fairies who followed closely behind Zayne observed the scene with wary gazes.
"Something is off" Lily muttered making Rose nod
"She doesn't seem to be the one his heart call for" she murmured in that soft voice of hers
"How did you find me?" Zayne asked cradling her head gently
There was not a single leaf in her hair as if she appeared out of nowhere but Zayne was too happy to notice
"I went through the hell that are those woods , even when I felt like giving up I didnt because I knew I'd have to find you" she stood up on her tiptoe , hands caressing his chest in a way that felt way too wrong way too out of character.
She's there with you no need to get lost in semantics
"I don't know what I would have done if I didn't find you" she murmured eyes dropping to his lips in a way that made Zayne shudder.
"Shouldn't we intervene?" Sonia asked voice bubbling with a mixture of jealousy and concer.
The energy coming off of this girl screamed to run away but they didn't want to come off as rude and possessive so they watched from the sidelines.
"So worried" she murmured tugging Zayne closer by his collar and he didn't fight her off because why would he ?
After all this time , he finally get to see her ,to touch her , as if hypnotized he let her pull him in her grasp lips hovering above his.
"We need to do something" Sonia exclaimed shaking Narilyn by her shoulders.
But alas it was too late because as soon Zayne's lips collided with hers he sank to his knees, a wave of fatigue washing over him.
"So pathetic" she scoffed pushing him with her foot "it was almost too easy" she knelt beside him while Zayne was fighting to keep his eyes open.
"I knew taking this little bitch's appearance would do the trick but I didn't think you'd fall for it so easily" her tone was cruel, dripping with venom so different from the Princess he knew.
"Who are you?" Zayne mumbled eyes drooping.
"I am the last face you'll see before leaving this world." she bent down to whisper in his ear before Zayne's body fell limply on the cold ground.
"Me?" Her eyes gleamed with a mixture of madness and feral hunger that reminded him so much of Christian.
The fairies all bolted towards him , Sonia furious threw a bolt of lightning toward the impostor princess who dodged it easily.
"Its too late" she laughed out features twisting into such a feral grin "it's just a matter of time before he die"
"You scum" Melida surged forward planting her lance above the corner of the impostor's eyes who let out a shriek of pain.
The soft features that was once the the face of the one who stole Zayne's heart morphed into the sharp features of his stepmother.
"You have no right to be there Onyx" Sapphire who just arrived spoke up.
The Queen stopped dead in her track eyes narrowing at the fairies.
"You won't be able to save her this time sister" she spat before turning her heels , leaving Zayne cold and unconscious on the ground.
Will he make it out ?
Her eyes fluttered open , her head throbbing ,her mouth and throat dry.
"Where am I?" She sat up only to realize she was bound to the bed she was laying on by chains.
"What the-"
"Your majesty , you're awake" she heard a small voice says .
She turned her head toward the sound only to see a white owl talking.
Wait a white owl talking???
"What the fuck??" She almost shouted but the owl quickly shushed her
"You're gonna wake him up" he hushed out.
Pressing her lips shut , she observed the owl curiously, after days being unconscious the first thing she sees when she wakes up is this!!.
"We need to find a way to get you out of here" the owl exclaimed landing on her arm with the key in his mouth.
Since only one of the Princess's hand was bound she took the key from him to unlock the locket that bounded her chains together.
When she was finally free she got off the bed not without caressing the owl's head.
"Thank you for your help"
The owl nuzzled against her hand before replying
"You're welcome, your majesty, please find my son and save him I've been too blind by love to see she was a degenerate, only you now can save us all"
His son wait was that owl the king who apparently got sick 3 months ago ?
She had so much question but she knew now wasn't the time to ask them she needed to get away from here and fast.
The room she was staying in obviously wasn't hers , there was a large mirror clad in the walls and a table full of weird potions and instrument.
This has to be the Queen Room.
"Hurry, your highness" the owl croaked out.
The princess quickly grabbed a dagger that was resting on the table with a bottle that had "Don't touch , for emergency only" written on it . Shoving them on her nightgown's pocket , she stole one of the Queen's overpriced coat and stormed off the room with the owl following closely behind her.
The palace seemed to be in a whirlwind, servants walking back and forth preparing what looked like a grandiose banquet.
Not wanting to dwell on this she clutched the cloak tightly around her making her way toward the palace horse boxes to steal an horse.
Her plan went smoothly, way too smoothly for her taste as if someone laid out the path for her to take.
Focus , we need to find Zayne and fast. She shook her head, pulling on the reins of her horse.
The owl continued to follow her , leading her way through the forest to find Zayne.
"How did the Queen managed to trap you in this form?" She questioned him curiously
"She poisoned me" he replied , still flying
"Poisoning you?" She tilted her head curiously.
"With a kiss" he responded before landing on a stray branch.
"How outlandish" she whispered under her breath.
She hasn't spent a lot of time with the Queen but she always found her shady , especially since her son Christian couldn't stop trying to win her over even when she make it clear she wasnt interested.
They continued their journey through the forest only stopping to feed her horse , she was too anxious to eat anything. The knot in her stomach not easing until she found him.
It was past 3 weeks since he disappeared the day of the Hunt. She didn't know what could have happened to him during this time . Was he safe ? Was he alright? Oh Christ she was going die of worries at this rate.
"Do not worry" your majesty the owl reassured her, resting against her shoulder.
"My son is a tough one , he'll be alright"
"I hope" she let out a small sigh.
"Will he make it out ?" Sonia asked caressing Zayne's pale skin.
He was laying in a sanctuary of Jasmine's flowers , eyes closed shut , his beautiful features relaxed in a peaceful slumber.
"The incantation is strong" Sapphire mused blue gaze dropping to the ground "I fear only a true love kiss can bring him back"
The silence that fell upon them was deafening.
"A true love kiss" Rose repeated voice distant as her eyes roamed over Zayne's face.
"Snow" she looked up at the sky feeling a small snowflake landing on her nose.
"Its snowing" she murmured to herself.
"Its snowing Zayne , come and play with me" the little girl exclaimed tugging at his arm.
"No you'll probably catch a cold" the little boy shook his head not budging an inch from where he was sitting on the couch.
"B-but" her lips wobbled "it's the first snowfall of the season and you know what the legend said"
"I don't" he retorted, hazel eyes boring into hers "please enlighten me"
"Don't you know" she sat down legs crossed in front of him , eyes gleaming with that same spark of excitement they had everytime she talked about something she was passionate about.
"If 2 people share a kiss under the first snowfall, they wil last forever" she smiled widely , eyes knowingly gazing at him.
"And what does this have to do with us?" He asked still skeptical
"Let's go outside and kiss so we will last forever" she exclaimed making him choke on thin air.
What is wrong with her ?
Zayne erupted in a fit of coughs , face red from embarrassment .
she's only 11 for God's sake . Why does she keep catching him off of guard like this?
"Are you ok?" She quickly stood up massaging his back as he slowly regained his composure
"I am fine I am fine" he uttered , his embarrassment finally subsiding.
She nodded seemingly reassured even if her eyes still held a trace ofconcern.
"Then let's go play , your majesty" she took her hand already dragging him outside to play.
"The first snowfall" she murmured letting the snowflake melt on her palm.
"2 people who kiss under the first snowfall will last forever. Sounds straight out of a fairytale, don't you agree princess ?" Christian's sly voice made her ears perk up. Her senses on high alert.
"Here are we meeting in this forest again" he creeped closer towards her , boots scrunching the dead leaves , the same feral look in his gray eyes that haunted her nights . "I am starting to think this is becoming our little secret place" he smirked still wincing closer towards her while she took step back after step back putting as much distance between them as she can , mind running a mile per minute to find an escape
As if reading her mind he spoke again
"Don't be scared I won't hurt you as long you collaborate"
As if to prove his point he opened his arm widely.
"You are right" she sighed in defeat finally stopping backing down.
A flash of surprise passed over Christian's face.
Why the sudden switch up?
"Chasing after Eladia's little brat can be so exhausting, I tought if I tried hard enough and found him I'd finally seal an alliance between Eralyon and Eladia but now" she looked up at hom shoulder slumping in defeat.
"All hope seems to be dead just like him" she sighed before a slow smirk pulled at the corner of her mouth.
"You really think I am going to believe you did all of this for an alliance" he chuckled shaking his head "princess princess" he tsked crossing the distance between them in two effortless strides.
"You are so naive" he whispered hands hovering above her face and to his surprise she leaned into his touch
"Not naive" she left a kiss on his palm "just as power hungry as you are"
Oh now she was talking his language.
"And you haven't seen nothing, your majesty" she leaned in to whisper in his ear the sound sending shiver down his spine. Coating his mind with the sweetest intoxication.
"And here I thought you were just a lovesick brat" he cuppoed her cheek caressing the soft skin with his thumb "you're full of surprises, princess"
"Princess" he leaned in to nose her pulse , inhaling her scent.
"Yes my king" she caressed his shoulder blade , palm gliding down until it reached his side.
Lost in the sensation of finally having the princess at his mercy. After years dreaming of this moment, finally, finally he had her Exactly where he wanted but not for long because a sharp pain on his side brought him back to reality, paralyzed he sank to his knees, eyes wide open looking up at her while the syringe stayed planted on his side
"You" he croaked out , the taste of blood filling his mouth.
She planted a foot on his shoulder pushing him down.
"Stay down Christian, the only thing you'll rule is the dirt beneath my feet" she said voice dangerously calm and serene , eyes devoid of any emotions.
He convulsed on the ground , coughing blood while his skin started to darken eyes rolling to the back of his head.
"Do not worry, the kingdom will hardly misses you, I just hope you have the most peaceful descend on hell" She turned her heels , leaving him laying on the ground writhing in pain with his unfulfilled dreams and wishes , like an unfinished canvas.
After leaving Christian for dead in the forest she hopped on her horse following the white owl who guided her toward Zayne.
She looked serene on the outside, eyes fixed on the path in front of her but deep down she was shaking, mind reeling as the impact of her actions finally sank in . She took a life , no matter how evil Christian was he was an human , a living being and she took his life she was a murderer , a murderer.
"We almost there Princess" the owl's voice snapped her out of her morbid thoughts, horse coming to a stop before she hopped off it , trembly legs running on the Snowy ground.
She was exhausted both physically and mentally, legs almost giving out , head spinning , heart racing but she couldn't stop, not now , not when she was that close , not after all those sacrifices, she had to find him. She promised so.
"No matter what happens I will always find you" she intertwined her pinky with his offering him a toothed smile
"Always?" the little boy squeezed her pinky wiping the remnants of his tears
"Always" she nodded eagerly leaning in to kiss his tear away.
"I'll always find you my prince" she hugged him.
"My prince" she murmured breath coming in short condensed puffs , vision blurring.
A loud crash made the fairies's head snap back toward the entrance of the sanctuary.
They haven't left Zayne's side since he was cursed by the King , waiting , hoping he'd woke up.
"You" Sonia surged towards the intruder tigging harshly at her hair but the poor girl didn't have any energy to fight back, sinking to her knees at the sight of Zayne laying among the white colored flowers, looking pale and lifeless.
"I am too late" she whispered tears streaming down her face.
The fairies a stood frozen and dumbfounded.
She was crying.
"His love is here" Rose murmured pink eyes fixed on the princess who crawled her way toward where Zayne was resting.
"What If it's that evil Queen" Sonia exclaimed still wary but no longer attacking her
"No" Sapphire murmured "her heart is not as evil as Onyx"
"I am so sorry" she sobbed , bouce broken, limp body resting at his side " sorry for not keeping my promise" she murmured against his hand , it was so cold but nothing was colder than the sorrows engulfing her , torturing her already battered heart. "Sorry for not finding you earlier"
The fairies all hand their head low , watching helplessly as she poured her soul out tears coating the white fabric of Zayne shirt. Hair splayed out like an halo around her.
It was still snowing outside , the first snow of the season.
"Your highness" Rose approached her , patting her hair gently making the heartbroken princess finally look up at her.
"Do not cry" she wiped her cheeks "he wouldn't like seeing you so heartbroken"
"It doesn't matter anymore" the princess sniffled softly "he's gone"
"Not quite" the pink haired fairy retorted
"you can still bring him back" Sapphire spoke up approaching them as well.
"With a true love kiss" Sonia trailed eyes fixed on the ground.
The Princess's eyes widened, a new found flick of hope glimmering in her earlier dull eyes.
"A kiss?" She croaked out, voice hoarse from her sobs
"A kiss" the fairies nodded looking between Zayne still trapped in his dream and her.
Her eye flickered to Zayne as well , inhaling deeply. She moisten her dry lips bracing herself to kiss her childhood friend , her long last love. The man she sacrificed so much for but a fluttery voice interrupted her.
"Wait you cant just kiss hil withe day lips" Sonia interjected making Hydrangea groan
"Sonia now it's not the time" but she wasn't listening already making her wat towards the strawberry plant then come back with a fresh and red strawberry.
"Here" she placed the fruit in the girl's hand who tilted her head curiously at her.
"For your lips" Sonia instructed.
"Oh" a flash of realization washed over her features before she hastily applied the red berry on her dried up lips.
Smacking them together to smear the pigment. She took another deep breath.
"Ready now" she murmured more to herself than anyone.
She leaned down, eyes darting between Zayne's closed eyes and startly parted lips.
Just do it just do it.
All the fairies hold their breath Sonia burying her face in Hydrangea's flower to not see her beloved being kissed by a woman.
When the Princess's lips finally pressed against Zayne's she felt small tingles down her spine. Her heart speeding up but as he stayed still unconscious she untangled herself from him , sitting up to gaze at his peaceful face.
It didn't work
She looked over the fairies who were as lost as her.
Losing hope she sank against him , eyes filling with tears that trickled on his skin.
"Strawberry" an hoarse voice croaked out "I thought you hated them"
She quickly sat up, eyes widening in disbelief.
"You" she bursted in sobs , smacking his chest making him let out a small grunt "you're awake" she wrapped her arms around his neck , holding as physically close as possible.
Zayne caressed her back softly , letting her cry against his chest.
"Dont cry" he murmured chin resting on top of her head.
"You stubborn little" she smacked him again still sobbing. "If only you listened to me and didn't participate to that damn hunt" she sniffled finally untangling herself from his form to glare at him.
"Well at last, I got my reward" he caressed her cheeks softly wiping her tears.
"On the first snowfall" he looked up at the Snowy sky through the glass above their head
"You know what that means?" He looked back at her cupping her cheek to bring her closer to him "we'll now last forever" he whispered against her lips before capturing them in a passionate kiss pouring all those years of longing and unconditional love in a single kiss.
"I love you my Queen" he murmured between kisses refusing to part enen for a second , afraid she might slip through his finger "and yes I wish to marry you" he rested his forehead against hers thumbs stroking her cheeks.
She was too stunned to speak , overwhelmed by too many emotions to process them properly
Her hands found their way to his hair caressing the soft strands while she planted a kiss on his mouth another and another puncturing each of them with a small o love you. They were both lost in their own words
While the fairies were celebrating ,dancing around them while causing small snowflakes raining upon of them .
"So how does it feels to see your dear crush having his happily ever after ?" Htdrangea teased Sonia who seemed to be the happiest of them all.
"It feels good I feel happy just by seeing him happy" she chuckled making Hydrangea's eyebrows furrow
Why isn't she jealous?
"I am still not forgiving you for not listening to me though" the princess murmured against his lips hands caressing the hair at his nape
"Its alright" he hummed still holding her close against his chest " I have a whole lifetime to make up for it." He placed a tender kiss on her forehead.
And this how hidden in secluded sanctuary in the deep forest , under the first snowfall they sealed their fate , after facing the hardest of the challenges , they finally got their happily ever after.
"And what happened to the Evil Queen and the owl king ?" Te little girl asked , brown eyebrows furrowed in confusion
"The evil Queen had to pay the price for borrowing the power of her mirror , some legends said she got trapped in that said mirror while her son rotted in the deep forest." Zayne replied adjusting her in her bed , tucking the little girl nicely under the covers
"Did the princess and the prince get married and the king ? Did he turn back into an human?" She fired question after question
"Yes , yes he did and the princess and the prince indeed got married and had a lovely daughter together" he said before leaving a kiss on her forehead
"Now go to sleep my little snowflake" he patted her head softly.
She hummed in response sinking into the plush mattress
"Goodnight Daddy" she murmured before letting out a yawn
"Goodnight my angel" he smiled softly before carefully getting out of her room
"Is her majesty finally asleep?" A voice rang out behind him
"Finaly yes" he murmured turning around to face his lovely wife.
"Well now I guess it's my time to have the King's attention" she said before wrapping her arms around his neck
"Hmm" he braced his hand beneath her thighs lifting her effortlessly "I am all yours , my Queen" he murmured against her lips
"Ever since you kissed me on the first snowfall or even sooner" he added carrying her towards their shared bedroom.
"Careful if you keep saying things like that it will make it hard for me to stay quiet" she grinned cheekily , caressing the hair at his nape.
"Better keep it down sweetheart, we don't want to wake up our little angel do we ?" He teased closing the door behind him with his foot.

Threats - Peter Pan
Peter x Fem!Reader
Warnings: nothing really
Word count: 411
Summary: Peter getting angry when someone threatens you infront of him.
Masterlist
Once Upon A Time Masterlist
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
“Peter!” Y/n yells out as she’s grabbed by the Evil Queen with a ball of magic near her face.
“Regina.” MarryMargret worried for the young girl currently being held in Regina's tight hold with a magic ball of purple flames near her face.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you.” Peter growled with narrowed eyes once he turned towards where his lost girl called for him in distress.
“Give us back Henry and I won’t hurt your little lost girl.” Regina bargained.
“Regina, we don't need to threaten anyone.” Emma spoke up telling Regina, looking at the young girl a couple years older than their Henery.
“I agree Lass. Not a good idea. Especially not a good idea to threaten her specifically.” Hook stepped forward gesturing with his hook to the girl in Regina’s grip.
“And why’s that Pirate?” Regina rolled her eyes at all the pleading to let the Y/h/c-ed girl go.
“She’s not just a lost girl. She’s Pan’s lost girl.” Hook stated to the Evil Queen.
“No duh.” Regina scoffed.
“What KIllian means is she is mine. Let go of her. Now.” Peter walks closer getting increasingly more angry every minute Y/n was still being held against her will.
“Or what?” Regina gripped Y/n tighter, testing Pan’s limits and to see if he’s bluffing.
“You’ll regret it.” Peter grumbled with a really dark look on his face. “Don’t forget this is my island and your son’s life is in my hands. What do you think I’ll do if you hurt my Y/n?”
“Regina” MaryMargaret pleads for her to let the girl go, trying to sound more stern. Not wanting to have Peter hurt Henery in any way as retaliation.
“Let her go.” David added with worried eyes for them, Henry, and Y/n. KNowing what Regina is capable of, they were all worried for Y/n.
Regina sighed and loosened her grip on Y/n and the second Peter noticed he grabbed his lost girl and pulled her into him.
“Don’t lay a finger on her again.” Peter practically snarled at the StoryBrooke gang and he checked Y/n over for injuries. Before giving the signal for them all to retreat.
“Thank you.” Y/n turned around to look back at Emma, Hook, David and MaryMargret with an innocent smile.
Peter smiled at her manners, that's his Y/n. And it was entertaining to see their shocked faces at her thanks.

hello!! good morning, afternoon or night, idk. Could I request Diasomnia (or just Silver and Malleus if it's too much characters) with a Snow White like reader? I recently re-watched Snow White and it kinda got me thinking about how they would interact with a reader that acts similarly to Snow White (very kind, caring, motherly and a tad bit naive). Thank you either way and have a good day!
diasomnia w/ snow white!reader ✧・゚

.
I am so sorry this took me so long! I do a lot of writing in addition to this blog and between that and school, things got away from me! Thank you for the request and I hope I did this idea justice ^^
.
Summary: The following scenarios and headcanons depict the members of Diasomnia with a Snow White-inspired reader. Each of these is meant to be its own universe, like a visual novel route.
TW/CW: N/A
Notes: pre to in a relationship, the reader is Ramshackle Prefect/Yuu, they/them pronouns for the reader, the reader is explicitly human/non-fae

Malleus Draconia
Malleus and [Name] share a certain innocence about the world.
They both fall victim to Lilia's pranks often.
Malleus is fond of them from the get-go because they seem more worried about him than afraid of him at the joint event.
This is where their friendship began.
Malleus thinks that [Name] is a unique person.
He wants to protect the person who seems so soft and caring.
Malleus doesn't understand how [Name] is so soft to others.
Everyone seems to like them. Can they teach him how to do that?
"How do you do it, [Name]?" Malleus asked them one evening as they walked around the school at twilight.
It was cold and [Name] was wrapped in a blanket from their dorm to keep out the cold. Still, they were walking. These walks were something they looked forward to even if it disrupted their (already questionable) circadian rhythm at times.
"Do what, Malleus?" they returned his question with another question, unsure what the draconic fae meant this time.
They didn't do anything out of the ordinary. Did they? Were they doing something so special without even being aware of it? They looked at him with wide curious eyes, urging him to elaborate.
"You are someone that everyone likes," Malleus told them plainly.
Name paused. Was that true? They thought about their relationship with the other students at Night Raven. Maybe they did have a lot of friends. Was that upsetting Malleus? He was rather... a solo rider.
"I suppose so... But it's not something I'm trying to do, so..."
They trailed off and Malleus placed a hand on their shoulder.
"I am not mad at you, Child of Man," he continued, "It is just something that I have noticed as we have known each other."
They nodded slowly, trying to understand what he was saying,
"Does it make you worry?" they asked, looking at him and taking a small step closer, "I don't want to cause you distress, Malleus..."
His brows furrowed slightly as he stared down at the small human he had become friends with. Was he worried? It seemed more than that.
"It's not just a worry," he continued, "Perhaps it is also... admiration."
They stopped before they could even begin their next sentence. Was Malleus complimenting them in earnest?
"Oh?" they managed to say.
He smiled, eyes gleaming.
"I do admire you deeply, [Name]," he told them, "For... For being all I cannot be."
✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚:
Lilia Vanrouge
Lilia starts off viewing [Name] as a child.
They remind him of Silver and he is much older than the other students, so it's only natural that he's a bit apprehensive.
They seem naive and that worries him, but it's also fun to use.
A few pranks have [Name] scrambling to get Sebek's help.
Still, Lilia cares about them, mostly from afar.
He would not be the one to confess first because he knows he will depart soon enough but he is always sweet to [Name].
The joke about [Name] being a second parent to Silver does not go unused. Silver did not appreciate that one but laughed in the end.
"My dear," Lilia began his statement in earnest, giving an almost evil grin as he came closer, however, to the person he had claimed as his lover only days ago, "May I ask you something~?"
"Lilia?" they asked, startling slightly when he hugged them but relaxing into it all the same, "What is it?"
They were used to him being a bit strange but part of him seemed... very serious and they were not sure what to make of it. [Name] was new to this whole "dating" situation. Sure, they had read about it. But this was different. This was real. Wasn't it?
This was new for them, in more ways than one, he was Lilia-senpai.
"[Name], how do you feel about being a mother?" he asked.
They paused. What was he asking them? Why? Now? Why would they be a mother? Children? They were still in school and, and, and...
Their thoughts raced a bit at the question but calmed as soon as they heard the giggly laugh that suggested he was messing with them somehow.
"You must not fret so," he told them, patting their head affectionately.
"But you asked if I was going to be a mom?" they asked him.
"Not of new life, not yet," he told them, that was a plan for some other day at some other time, "I meant to my son who is almost grown."
Son... who is almost... SILVER?
Their jaw dropped at the realization.
"You want me to help with Silver?"
[Name]'s eyes were wide. Silver wasn't too far from their age.
"Yes!" Lilia chirped an answer.
"Well..."
What were they supposed to say to this? They weren't the type to decline their lover's request and they did care for Silver. They could see how he would need another parent to balance the chaos of Lilia now. But, them? It was a lot to take in.
"I will let you think about it, but as my lover, it does make you a parent to him in some sense of the word, perhaps an unconventional one, though," he explained to them.
They nodded.
"Father, please do not harass [Name]!" Silver spoke up from across the room, looking at [Name] a moment later, "You do not need to be my mother if you do not wish to be."
Ah, [Name] had forgotten. They were in the Diasomnia Commons. Silver and Sebek were here. There was an audience.
"Hmm..." they hummed, trying to think it over.
"But isn't Silver still so cute?" Lilia cooed.
"Father-" Silver attempted to cut in but [Name] spoke too soon.
"I suppose I wouldn't mind helping with your son, Lilia."
"Yay~"
At least Lilia was happy. Silver might need to vent to someone later.
✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚:
Silver
Silver does not realize he has befriended [Name] until they have been friends for several weeks. He does not have the heart to back out after this and only grows closer to them from this point on.
He grows to like their optimistic attitude.
They share a bit of naivety in the world and others sense this.
Silver confesses first as he believes this is the "correct" way to do it based on the books (manga) that Lilia offered him as advice.
They decide to be a couple fairly easily and it's a first for them both. Silver has never had a relationship outside of his work as a guard and being Lilia's adoptive son.
Silver and [Name] don't realize they are in love until everyone else is already painfully aware of their feelings for each other.
Lilia likes to mess with both Silver and his lover.
Silver and his lover often become victims of these pranks.
[Name] and Silver are too forgiving in these instances.
Sebek sometimes yells at them about it.
"Is this cheese?" [Name] asked Silver, trying to get the substance out of her hair and failing, "Cheese from the ceiling?"
Their expression was one of confusion as they looked between their hair and the white-haired boy who was also trying to get the sticky orange substance off of his dorm uniform's horned hat. He didn't seem pleased but was far less surprised than they were.
"Yes, I think so," he told them.
They paused, thinking about it more deeply.
"....Why?"
"Well..." Silver trailed off for a moment, trying to think of a way to answer her without incriminating someone, "It was a practical joke."
"A joke? Cheese from the ceiling was a joke?" she asked, confused but not angry, trying to find the hilarity in the event, "What does it mean?"
"I don't think it has a meaning, this is just how my- How Lilia-senpai shows his affection for me, for you, for ... us, I suppose?"
"Oh..." they said before their eyes widened, "Oh!"
"Yes..." he managed to respond, hesitant.
He felt a bit bad Lilia had done something that startled them.
"Does that mean Lilia-senpai thinks of us as... a pair?"
"Maybe?" Silver responded.
It seemed likely enough that Silver and [Name] were seen as a pair by his father. He was prone to assigning roles to people in Silver's experience. It didn't warrant cheese but, oh well. They really do sell everything at the School Store, he noted.
That was probably where his father had gotten this... whatever it was.
"We are best friends, right Silver?" [Name] asked, pulling him from his thoughts at what other oddities the store might be selling.
"Yes, but..."
He wanted to say it. He had thought it over for a week, been yelled at by Sebek, been told to "court properly" by Prince Malleus... He had to do it. He was a knight. What scared him so much about this?
Silver let out a soft breathy sigh.
"But?" [Name] asked, repeating what he had half-said.
He had to do this. He wanted to do this. Silver was determined.
"I have been meaning to ask you something, [Name]," he told them.
"What is it...?" [Name] asked, surprised for the second time that day.
Copying what he had read in the books Lilia offered him, he took their hands in his and looked at them with a sparkle in his eyes they had not seen until this very moment. He was serious.
"[Name]," he spoke once more.
They blinked at him. What was he trying to say?
"Yes....?" they replied.
"Would you do me the... honor of..." Silver paused for a second or two before he continued, "Being mine? I am in love with you so ardently I might... You're lovely."
The line was a jumble of the things he had read. Would that suffice? Would it be a proper request to them? He knew it had to be done respectfully or else he would bring shame to his father and master alike. Silver would never want to do that, he was loyal to the fae despite his very humanity.
His eyes gazed into theirs, not wanting to look away and miss their answer. Silver watched as they processed his words, face flushing slightly as soon as they understood what he meant with that flowery question. They struggled for words.
"You. Me..." they paused, "Yes!"
He expected a bit more hesitation but they seemed enthusiastic about it as they jumped into his arms and wrapped theirs around his neck, hugging him tightly. They both ignored the strings of sprayable cheese that was still covering them both and the laundry that would need to be done shortly after.
"I am glad you accept my feelings," he managed to say.
[Name] nodded into his shoulder.
"This is all like a dream.." they said softly to him.
If this was a dream, Silver noted, it was a sweet one.
✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚:
Sebek Zigvolt
Sebek is annoyed by [Name] for the first while they know each other but it is mostly because their "kind" personality causes them to approach him and they are a HUMAN.
They grow on him only because he just keeps running into them?
Is the universe trying to get them together? (yes)
Through repeated exposure, they begin a kind of friendship
[Name] listens intently when Sebek speaks about Malleus.
This aids in the development of their friendship.
Sebek does not know how to confess.
There is some internal conflict for this guard about his feelings.
[Name] remains blissfully unaware of his struggles.
Sebek means well he was just raised by a very human-phobic grandpa who he idolizes. We're all aware it's a problem.
"Sebek!" [Name] finally said a bit louder than the original attempt at getting his attention, "Are you okay?"
The knight was startled to attention and instantly straightened his posture before taking a fighting stance as though they were in danger. To that, [Name] was not sure what to say.
"Ah, it's you," he said, albeit quieter than usual, "I'm fine."
They narrowed their eyes at him briefly but didn't say anything. [Name] trusted him at their core, so they believed his words.
"If you say so," they shrugged, "So, are we going into town?"
Sebek turned to see [Name] sparkling at him with the sweetest smile on their lips. They were excited about this trip, weren't they? How could he have let himself get distracted from a task that Lilia gave him? Lilia told him to accompany this human, his friend, into town as a guard. Something about magic-less people not being safe alone.
He was in no position to question Lilia.
"We are!" he said, volume returning with force, "OFF WE GO!"
[Name] just giggled as they followed after him, blissfully unaware of the reason for his awkward posture and strange fluctuation in volume (even more than usual). They simply assumed it was Sebek being himself. He always was a bit strange and they adored him for it, seeing the passion in his eyes even when he was being a bit... much.
As kind and caring as they were, there was a certain naivety about [Name]. Falling in love was foreign to them. Perhaps that was why they did not notice the tell-tale signs that Lilia would have pointed out to them if he didn't like seeing Sebek squirm so much.
Sebek was in love with [Name].
But how did he tell someone that he cared for them? That he appreciated their mothering side and the fact that they listened to him. He thought about them! He wanted to please them! And... He dreamed of what their life could be like after they graduated. That one was embarrassing.
He glanced over toward them for a moment.
There they were, blissfully unaware of the anxiety within him at the thought that his feelings could change the friendship they had.
"This will be a fun day," Sebek told [Name], "You have my word."
"As a knight?"
"Yes... As a knight."
"Yay!!"
Their smile was all that mattered to him. He could wait just a bit longer to tell them the truth. All in good time... He could do it.
Lilia might have other plans though...

being bigby wolf’s mate would include… (sfw and nsfw)
nsfw below the cut. mdni. warnings: tried to make the reader as gender-neutral as possible, mentions of jealousy, creampie, heat cycles, aggressive smut, biting, etc.
author’s note: i cannot wait for the second game to be released. i’m so excited! 💗
sfw:
• you are one of bluebeard’s ex-partners, having escaped him and avoided decapitation in the old days. sadly though, you didn’t get to meet bigby when he was in his prime— only heard stories and legends about him— until you along with all the other fables moved from the homelands to the mundy world.
— more specifically, you were brought into questioning since you knew a thing or two about brutality against women (which is exactly what was happening with the working girls at the pudding & pie, like faith) and you helped snow and bigby’s investigation at times…
• that’s how you two acquainted yourselves.
• it should also go without saying that you are filthy rich and since you’ve grown an attachment to sheriff bigby, you came to find out that he lives in the smallest apartment in the woodlands, you’ve invited him over to your place countless times at the beginning of your relationship so he can get out of that crowded space and sleep in an actual bed.
— that and colin can be a real pain in the ass. it’s good for bigby to be away from him, even if it is for a few days.
• bigby always found you to be attractive. it was a bit part of your fairytale back in the homelands, but he tried not to show his attraction toward you…but it was hard for others not to pick on the big bad wolf after they see him tucking a strand of hair behind your ear, helping you out of cars, holding doors for you, having a special soft spot for you, all sorts of chivalrous shit.
• you two ended up being a thing a few days after the investigation about faith and the crooked man came to an end. more specifically, you were outside with bigby when all of a sudden you were pushed by a mundy and you lost your footing. luckily, bigby was able to catch you and pull you close to him, cursing the blatant rudeness of the mundy, under his breath before checking up on you to see if you were okay.
— then, what followed was you two looking deeply into one another’s eyes before you wrapped a hand around bigby’s tie and pulled him closer, kissing the sheriff.
nsfw:
• i want to say that bigby’s libido is average. nothing too unbearable, but as soon as spring rolls around, it does a complete 180° and bigby becomes the epitome of needy.
— during this time, he can be a bit rough, he gets way more animalistic than usual and there are times when bigby takes a brief vacation from work just so he can pound you all day, leaving you unable to walk on your own.
— his favorite thing to do is to put you into a mating press, so he can penetrate you deeper as he fills your hole with his cum. the alternative, of course, is him mounting you.
• he always wants to be able to mark you, in some way, whether that be by leaving bite/scratch marks all over your body or hickeys. it’s bigby’s way of telling the world that you’re already taken and satisfied sexually.
• it’s hard to hide whenever you’re in the mood from bigby because of how strong his sense of smell is. once he catches a whiff of your arousal, he almost loses all strength in his body, his mouth watering, but if he’s in a public setting, it takes every fiber of his being to go against of his instincts and you know the power you hold over him at times like this because of the way bigby stares at you, raptured with barely contained lust.
• it’s only when bigby regains his senses, he apologizes for being so rough on you (he is scared that because of how rough he can be, he’s a terrible mate and you’ll want to leave him for someone better). soooo…he tries his hardest to make it up to you by doing whatever you want him to, amping up his arm, and overall being super gentle and sweet.

Summary: (Y/N) is under a True Love Sleeping Curse, and who can save them?
“Evie, have you seen Highness?” said Harry. He still held two glasses of water in his hand, but he couldn’t find (Y/N) to give them their drink.
“You were dancing with them, weren’t you?” said Evie.
“Yeah, but then I got ‘em somethin’ to drink,” said Harry.
“They probably got dragged off to talk to someone,” said Mal. “They are pretty outgoing—” Her eyes flashed green, and she gasped.
“M?” said Evie worriedly.
The green faded, and Mal’s eyes widened. “Someone’s trying to use dark magic.”
“Where?” said Ben instantly.
“Up,” said Uma, feeling where the magical tripwire went off.
The group didn’t waste another moment and ran towards the back stairs of the ballroom. As they ran, they gestured for Carlos and Jay to keep an eye on things in the ballroom. They would face the culprit.
Rounding the top of the spiraling staircase, they slowed to a stop. Their eyes widened. Fleur stood at the edge of the windows, wand in hand. (Y/N) lay unmoving on the ground, an apple in their outstretched hand.
“Oh my god,” said Evie, covering her mouth in horror.
“(Y/N)!” Harry dropped down next to their body.
Alarmed, Fleur raised her wand. Mal’s eyes glowed, and Fleur groaned, dropping her wand as her head throbbed. Uma and Ben ran forward. Uma grabbed Fleur by the arms and restrained her while Ben grabbed the wand.
“Let me go, villain,” spat Fleur angrily, wrenching against Uma’s grasp.
“You’re behind this,” said Ben, looking at Fleur. “Why? You were helping—”
“Villains are always going to be villains,” spat Fleur. “You were all forgetting what they’re capable of, and I needed to remind everyone!”
“Cursing people yourself doesn’t make the VKs evil,” said Mal, narrowing her eyes.
“I think you’re just as a sad, angry girl,” said Uma, sneering. “And I don’t stoop to that level. None of the VKs do.”
“And now you’re going to undo the curses you placed on everyone,” said Evie.
Fleur scoffed, and Uma tightened her grip on her arms.
“You think it’s funny, pixie girl?” said Uma. “We have the wand you used. We can undo the spells from there.”
Fleur looked oddly smug. “Not all of them.”
“What do you mean?” said Evie sharply.
“Can’t undo a True Love curse,” said Fleur lifting her chin.
Harry looked down at (Y/N) as he lifted them and held them close. He glared at Fleur. “You—”
“They deserve it for getting involved with villains,” said Fleur.
“You cast a True Love curse on them?” said Evie in horror.
“The consequences of that—do you know what you’ve done?” said Mal.
“No one will see the truth,” said Fleur. “Maybe seeing that villains can’t give True Love will remind everyone of what you are.”
“We can love,” said Evie fiercely. She and Mal had both given kisses of True Love to their boyfriends. “You’re wrong.”
“See if a villain loves them, then,” sneered Fleur. “I doubt it. He’s just a flirt who likes to fight.”
Harry’s eyes narrowed. It was clear she was speaking of him. Was his interest in (Y/N) truly appearing that shallow? He loved them. He just didn’t know if they did. He didn’t know if he deserved them.
“Can I get her to Fairy Godmother and the police?” said Uma, looking at Ben and Mal. “She’s getting on my nerves.”
“Yes,” said Ben. “I’ll bring the wand. Mal—”
“I have to tell everyone,” she said. “That we caught the culprit, we can break the curses on the others—”
“But not Highness,” said Harry. “So what’s the point?”
“Harry,” said Evie softly. “We’ll help them. You—”
“I didn’t stick by them. I can’t deserve their love,” said Harry.
Evie’s gaze softened.
Mal cleared her throat. “Evie, Harry, you two move them. They don’t deserve to stay here.”
“After I give the wand to Fairy Godmother, I’ll tell their parents,” said Ben. “They’ll want to know.”
Everyone’s gazes went to the floor. Snow White and Florian’s heartbreak at finding out their child was facing the same danger Snow White had—it would be immense. And if (Y/N) didn’t get True Love’s Kiss, what would happen then?
l
“Oh, sweetheart.”
Snow White’s tearful voice made Harry’s heart clench as he stood outside of (Y/N)’s room. They lay in the bed within. He knew they looked peaceful and were safe. He had placed them there, after all. And now their parents were with them. People who loved them. But not people who could give them the True Love they needed.
“We’ll find their True Love,” said Florian, holding his wife and gazing sadly at their child.
“How? They’ve never—They don’t talk about these things.” Snow White buried her face in her hands. “And now they’re—my child has been cursed. Because of my story.”
“This isn’t your fault,” said Florian softly.
“Prince Florian. Princess Snow,” said Ben, stepping into the room. Mal was by his side.
The other original VKs and (Y/N)’s Auradon friends hovered outside the door, not wanting to face the parents of the child, the friend, they’d failed to protect. They’d know the risk (Y/N) was at due to Snow White’s story, but they didn’t work hard enough to protect them.
“I’m so sorry,” said Ben. His gaze was lowered to the floor. “I can apologize enough for not ensuring (Y/N) was out of harm’s way. We should have expected the culprit—Fleur—to feel threatened and cast a more drastic spell. But we didn’t.”
“We should have done more for (Y/N),” said Mal softly. “I’m so very sorry.”
Snow White turned from the bed where (Y/N) lay unmoving. The tear tracks were clear on her face, but she still smiled sadly at Mal and Ben.
“This isn’t your fault,” said Snow White. “(Y/N)—they wanted to help. They’ve always been headstrong and brave. I wish this hadn’t happened, but I also know that it isn’t anyone’s fault but Fleur’s.”
“But we have to ask,” said Florian. “Do you know of anyone that could be (Y/N)’s True Love?” The word came out as a whisper, a secret wish that there was a way to protect his child and bring them back.
“We—” Mal swallowed. “We’re trying.” She knew of a possibility, but that possibility needed to be brave enough to really show his heart. “I swear, we are.”
Snow White seemed to hear her tone and smiled gently. “Whoever it is—I know that (Y/N) would have shown their heart long ago.”
“They wear it on their sleeve,” agreed Ben softly.
Outside the door, Harry’s fists clenched. (Y/N) was so bright, so loving, and he—he was just a horrid flirt, a pirate. He failed to protect them. How could he have earned their love? And what if he did try and it didn’t work? What if he couldn’t save them?
His heart would break for good.
Harry turned away from the doorway and walked down the hall.
Evie and Uma glanced at one another, gazes steely and determined.
l
“Mal—Queen Mal.”
Mal turned around, and the VK’s tensed as they saw Eris—uncursed—standing before them. Hovering behind her were Thea, Farley, and Chad.
“I—We want to apologize,” said Eris. She shifted. “We were wrong to judge all of the VKs. I’m sorry that we treated you all as villains.”
“We were prejudiced, and we—we should have tried to get to know you first,” said Thea.
“If we had been thinking clearly, we would have been able to tell you that Fleur was lying about liking VKs or at least was acting strangely,” said Farley. “But we were so caught up in our own assumptions that we didn’t.”
“You still scare me,” said Chad (the usual coward, but, hey, he was pretty harmless in the long run). “But…you did good getting rid of the curses.”
“We’re really sorry,” said Eris. “And we’d like a chance to get to know everyone. Properly.” She looked at Uma directly. “We know we can’t make up for our prejudice in a second, but we want to try.”
“We were in the wrong, and we know it,” said Farley.
“Yes,” agreed Thea.
Mal smiled. “Thank you for the apology. And it’s, well, it’s not okay, but I’m glad you’re starting to see past your assumptions.”
“Yeah,” said Uma. “If we can make it past this, then other people can, too.”
“We have a lot of people who have been scared,” said Carlos. “Even if Fleur is going to face the consequences of her actions.”
“We’ll need a lot of people helping guide people to being more accepting and less suspicious,” said Jane, smiling.
“So there’s plenty to do to help,” said Evie.
“What does it matter?” said Harry.
The VKs and Auradon kids looked at him.
“(Y/N) is still cursed. Nothing that we do can help them.” He held his hook tightly. “Having a change of heart doesn’t change that they’re going to sleep forever and that I—” Harry angrily marched away.
Evie looked at Uma. “I think we should—”
“Yeah,” said Uma, nodding. She looked at Mal. “You figure out the politics. Evie and I need to—”
“Help (Y/N),” said Mal, nodding.
“Do you think it will?” said Jane worriedly.
“I think there’s a chance,” said Uma.
“And we have to do whatever we can,” said Evie.
“Go,” said Carlos, nodding.
l
“Harry,” said Evie.
“What?” said Harry from where he sat at the wishing well of Auradon and crossed his arms.
“You know what you have to do,” said Evie. She put her hands on her hips. “So why haven’t you?”
“Because I’m a villain, a pirate. Highness—they’re worth more than that. I didn’t even protect them. I can’t save them,” said Harry.
“You’re an idiot,” said Uma, entering the clearing and rolling her eyes.
“Cap’n?” said Harry.
“True Love doesn’t change whether or not you believe you’re worth of it,” said Uma. “It matters what you feel for them and what they feel for you.”
“I can’t be Highness’s—”
“Harry, you know that they care about you. They said yes to being your date to the ball,” said Evie.
“People can date without being True Loves,” said Harry bitterly.
“Not (Y/N),” scoffed Uma. “They went on two dates in their life, and when they didn’t feel the spark they were looking for, they didn’t go on a second.”
“And they don’t feel a spark with me—”
“They do,” said Evie. “From the moment they met you, they’ve cared. Even after you and Uma kidnapped them, when they spoke about you, their heart—Well, it’s on their sleeve. They felt a spark with you. They were just too careful about your feelings to tell you.”
“They felt a spark?” said Harry. “With me?”
“Oh come on,” said Uma. “This isn’t my first mate. My first mate knows damn well that he and (Y/N) work together better than either of you could with anyone else. You two dance like you read each other’s minds. You fight like a dance. You know how to draw out a smile and battle with your wits better than anyone else. You’re the perfect fit for one another.”
“You love one another,” said Evie. “It’s obvious to everyone.”
“So, Harry,” said Uma, smirking and leaning towards him. “Are you going to be a brave pirate and prove your love for your royal or be a coward?”
“What if I can’t save them?” said Harry.
“Would you rather live knowing you tried to save the person you love or live with the regret of never trying?” said Evie.
“I want to do whatever I can to save them,” said Harry instantly, outraged at the idea of leaving them trapped in the curse.
“Then do it,” said Evie.
Harry was silent and still for barely another moment as his heart beat within his chest. Then, he stood. They were right. He didn’t feel worthy of (Y/N), but no one was truly worthy of them and their bright, warm heart. But he couldn’t sit and do nothing. (Y/N) deserved to be saved, and he would forever regret not knowing if their heart was his or not.
Without another word, he headed back towards Auradon.
Uma and Evie watched, and Evie smiled. “(Y/N)’s going to be saved.”
“You’re very certain this will work,” said Uma. She was still, understandably, a bit worried and would be until (Y/N) awoke.
“I am,” said Evie. “Because I know what True Love feels like, what it looks like. And (Y/N) and Harry have it.”
l
Harry gently pushed open the door of (Y/N)’s dorm and let it swing shut behind him. He gazed only at (Y/N), so still and peaceful on their bed. He approached them and knelt beside their bed.
“Hello, Highness,” he said softly. “I—I don’t know if I’m being stupid.” He chuckled to himself slightly. “I’m sure you’d have something to say to that. It would make me laugh. You always have a way with words.” He gazed at them. “And that’s why I’m here. Because even if I’m being stupid, I can’t sit here when you’re so silent. You’re suppos’d to be lively. That’s one of the reasons I…” He trailed off.
Hesitantly, Harry reached out and took their hand. “It’s one of the reasons I love ya, Highness.” He smiled as the words came out. “Because I really love ya, Highness. You mean the world to me. I don’t think I can ever tell you enough. I don’t think I deserve you and all ya goodness. But it’s the truth.” He looked at their face. “I love you, (Y/N).
And with all the bravery, honesty, and love in his heart, he leaned in and kissed (Y/N).

Please part 2 by Dark Male Evil King x Pregnant Sad Reader Wife. She really misses her sweet son :(

Part One
You have fallen pregnant with the evil king's son one month after your son's death and spent the next six months in sadness and depression.
Your sadness for Snow White's death bothered your husband, so he would take his anger out on his servants, not wanting to harm you especially since you are pregnant with his baby.
King Grimhild could not understand why you are so attached to Snow White when you would have with him a child who will be much fairer than your dead son in looks and manners as the magical mirror has told him.
He felt envious even with Snow White out of the way, he sent the boy's body in a casket to be buried in the woods away from the castle, he even had the historians remove any mentions of him and your first husband from the history books.
The evil king believes that after you have his child, you will move on with your life.
That was until one day...
You lay in your bed, staring up at your ceiling, feeling guilty about your choice of marrying again like you do everyday.
But when you hear someone climbing the walls, you get frightened as you see hands appear and grab into the window's edge.
A loud scream for the guards was about to escape your lips, but when you see the intruder, your heart drops.
It's your son...
"Snow White"
His name leaves you lips as you get up from your bed and hurry towards the young prince, throwing yourself into his arms.
Even if he was of your imagination, you didn't care as long as you saw him again.
"Are you alright, mother? Did he harm you in any way?"
You place your hands on his cheeks, tears falling down your cheeks.
"He murdered you in front of my eyes with a poisoned apple, how are you alive and breathing, my sweet boy?"
Snow White sighs, his gaze softening before responding to your question.
"It's a long story, however, I have come to reclaim my father's throne, and take revenge for the pain he caused you, mother"

“Have you ever considered a less...um, violent job?” she asks, nausea coiling in her guts at the mere thought of harming— let alone killing an innocent animal.
The inky sky has turned into an even gloomier hue, and if it wasn’t for the luster of the moonlight illuminating their journey, they wouldn’t be able to see a thing. However, it’s still a challenge for them (her) to evade the thick roots hiding underneath the spongy moss and brittle lichen— she thinks her fingers aren’t enough to count the times Rafe has had to prevent her from toppling over onto the soil with a steadying grip on her arm.
At this point, she can’t comprehend how he even knows where they’re going. She thinks that every rock and tree trunk they pass resembles the last but apparently, he’s using them to track the route to his cabin— something he tried to teach her about two hours ago, but gave up the moment her attention was captured by a tiny squirrel hurriedly scampering off into its hiding spot.
“If I’m bein’ honest, I think killin’ is the only thing m’good for at this point,” he murmurs while inspecting a fallen spruce in the middle of their path.
“I’m sure that’s not true,” she argues, rounding the obstacle while he simply steps over it.
“Tha’s cause you don’t know me. Listen, m’not…m’not a good person, I’ve done some, uh, real shitty things, alright?” he looks over to her, gemstone eyes sullen.
She wonders if the real shitty things include other people’s blood on his hands. After all, the queen wouldn’t have asked him to end her life if he’d never done it before. A shiver creeps up her spine when a vivid image of him doing something so remorseless flashes in her mind.
However, it’s soon replaced by him dropping the knife and sparing her life, even if it meant complicating his own.
“I think…a bad person wouldn’t be helping me right now,” her words are honest but he doesn’t offer her a reply, merely flits his eyes over her frame with a furrow in his brow.
They fall into a serene silence, wordlessly treading further and further into the somber forest while she keeps getting distracted by the glittering stars above them; mesmerized by the beauty of something so far away from all the cruelty on this planet.
However, when she goes on to take her next step, the ground (or what she thought was the ground) suddenly cracks underneath her, the partly frozen lid of the pond shattering with a loud crackle— only a surprised squeal leaving her throat when she loses her footing and tumbles right into the frigid water with a splash.
Turns out, it’s not just some small little puddle that’s partly covered by fallen leaves and branches, but a rather deep one; saturating her all the way up to her neck as she gasps for breath when the coldness surrounds her helpless limbs.
“Shit.”
She hears Rafe hiss before humored laughter bubbles from his chest.
“Rafe, this is not funny,” she complains with her teeth chattering when the icy liquid soaks through the fabric of her dress in an instant.
“M’sorry, you jus’ look like a wet kitten right now,” he shakes his head, chuckling as he extends an arm towards her— pulling her up and steadying her with a firm grip on her waist.
“Ow,” she cries out when she leans her weight on her left foot.
“What’s wrong?” he seems almost concerned as he scans her for any visible injuries.
“Think I sprained my ankle, it hurts,” she frowns, reaching for his forearm for balance.
“Of course you did, told you to be careful,” he clicks his tongue, slightly annoyed at the fact that she really is a helpless case. “Can you walk?”
“I don’t know…” she mumbles; face crumpling up when she tries to take a step forward.
“Right, uh, c’mere then,” he huffs out before his hands are on her waist once more and he’s lifting her into his arms like a bag of flour.
“Oh, you don’t have to—”
“There’s no way you’re walkin’ right now,” he scoffs as he shifts her into a better position before he’s continuing their trek. “What would you even do without me, hm?”
“Probably freeze to death like you said,” she pouts, eyes despondent when she leans into his supportive hold.
“Yeah.”
“M’sorry,” she sniffles, the ache in her foot combined with him being mad at her causing her eyes to burn.
“Shouldn’t be that long ’till we’re there, princess. Think you can manage not to cry before we get there?”
“I don’t know…it hurts and m’cold,” she sulks, feeling miserable, even if she knows she should be grateful she’s not dead or alone in the woods right now.
“You’re a big girl, know you can take it. You’ll feel better soon, yeah?” he attempts to provide her some sort of comfort with his limited knowledge of handling something so fragile.
She hums out something incoherent in response, weak arms wrapping around his neck as she takes in a shaky inhale— damp skin prickling under the chilly air that’s making the leafy trees sway back and forth, reminding her of shadowy ghosts.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - -
“Uh, think there should be a dry shirt for you here somewhere…” he trails off as he goes through his closet. “This is probably a little too big but should be fine, yeah?”
The cabin is small and secluded; the darkened walls blending in with the rest of the forest and concealing them from the outside, making her feel strangely secure. However, his taste in decor makes her rather uneasy as she tries to desperately focus on the crackling fireplace beginning to warm up her trembling limbs and not the assortment of dead animals and their fur or other body parts on display.
“Oh, it’s perfect, thank you,” she tears her eyes from the elk antlers presented on the wall, offering him a tense smile when she takes the cottony shirt from him; the material surprisingly soft between her fingertips.
However, before he has the chance to leave the bedroom in order to give her some privacy, she timidly speaks up again, words clumsy and hurried. “Could you— um, could you help me undress? This corset is quite impossible to take off by myself…especially now that it’s wet.”
“Uh, right, yeah,” he clears his throat, gesturing for her to turn around before he’s pulling her closer by a grip on her hips, the wooden floorboards creaking underneath their feet making up for the sudden silence.
She doesn’t know why the gesture feels almost intimate or why it makes her hold her breath when he begins to unfasten the strings holding the corset top together, but a strange shade of suspense colors the air around them nonetheless.
“A tight little thing, huh?” he rasps as his fingers deftly work on the satiny ribbons— a process that feels eternal while she tries not to pay any mind to the way her heart keeps thumping louder and louder by each passing second.
When she finally feels the silky material loosening around her middle, she has to will her erratic breathing to slow down as he unhooks the rest of the dress— the fabric forming a pearly white puddle on the floor.
Then, he’s wordlessly slipping his shirt over her head; the sleeves far too long and the hem fitting her more like a short nightgown.
“Thanks,” she swallows before she’s gingerly turning around, lacking the courage of looking him in the eye for any longer than a glance.
“Right, uh, we should get some sleep. You can take the bed ’n I’ll sleep on the floor, yeah?”
And she’s already nodding before the words register in her disconcerted brain. “Wait, no, it’s your bed. I can sleep on the floor,” she argues immediately, momentarily forgetting why she was so shy in the first place when the weight of being an inconvenience builds up on her shoulders.
“Nah, m’not gonna let a fuckin’ princess sleep on the floor. S’fine, jus’ take the bed, I don’t want it. Need to make sure we weren’t followed anyway,” he grumbles, attempting to leave the room once more.
“Rafe, you need sleep just as much as I do. It’s the middle of the night, my stepmother doesn’t even know what you did yet. She’s expecting you to return tomorrow, right?” she tries to reason, not willing to give in because letting him sleep comfortably is the least she can do to even begin returning the favor.
He lets out a weary sigh before shrugging off his jacket, far too worn out to argue. “Yeah, alright, guess you have a point.”
- - - - - - - - - - - - -
They end up sharing the bed.
And once they’ve both settled into the opposite sides, she’s far too intimidated by Rafe’s disgruntled aura to utter out anything other than a whispered goodnight before it’s quiet once more.
However, as the night stretches on, she begins to grow restless; tossing and turning on the creaky mattress and driving Rafe mad in the process.
She doesn’t mean to, the last thing she wants is to disturb his rest but her thoughts are racing and she can’t seem to close her eyes for more than a few seconds because truthfully, she feels terrible— everything familiar has been turned upside down in the span of a day and the only life she knows has practically ceased to exist. All she wants is to go home but that’s not an option anymore and it’s scary.
“Hey, uh, you good?” Rafe’s sudden drawl makes her flinch.
“Sorry, can’t sleep,” she peeps out, expression apologetic when she twists to face him, causing the sheets to rustle around them.
“Yeah, me neither since you keep movin’ around like a lunatic,” he grumbles, irritation clear in his tone.
“M’sorry. Just can’t stop thinking about everything and I just…I’ve never understood why she hates me so much,” she breathes out, features contorting into something heavy-hearted as she chews on her bottom lip.
He blinks tiredly; movements lethargic when he runs a hand through his hair.
“The queen? Well, in case you haven’t noticed, she’s, uh, not that alright in the head. M’sure you’ve done nothin’ wrong, okay?” he attempts to reassure her, albeit to no avail.
“I just— just feel like...this is all my fault, you know? And now you’re in danger too because of me,” she rambles, not able to let the thought go.
“You don’t need to worry ’bout me, princess. There’s enough people that want me dead already, what’s one more?” he lets out a dry chuckle that makes her frown.
“What do you mean?”
“Nothin’ just, uh, listen…the worst thing that’s gonna happen is that she’s gonna have me killed when I don’t return, ’n once she finds out you’re still alive, she’s gonna send her soldiers to bring her your—”
“Rafe, that’s not helping. Why would say that?” she interrupts him and apparently, he finds her scowling face to be the most hilarious thing in the world because next thing she knows he’s laughing, sleepy features scrunching up as he shakes his head.
It’s safe to say she does not understand his humor, whatsoever.
“All m’sayin’ is that we’re gonna have to find someplace good to hide.”
“We have to leave the kingdom?” she asks, worried.
“Yeah, think so,” he says, sounding far too impassive for her liking.
“But I can’t just leave, this is my home.”
“I know, but s’gonna be okay,” he murmurs, mouth stretching around a yawn.
“But what if— what if something happens?” she sounds panicked, all the worst-case scenarios bouncing around her skull because she’s never even been this far from the palace. How on earth is she meant to survive in the real world?
“I’ll keep you safe, yeah? Now can you let me sleep?” he lets out a drowsy exhale, seemingly fed up with the conversation already.
“But what if—”
“Shh, c’mere,” he hushes her before he’s tucking her flush against his chest— a heavy palm resting on her thigh to keep her from moving because he’s exhausted and more than aware that tomorrow is going to be a long day, especially with this overthinking princess who he wishes would just shut up.
It’s something he’d tell her outright if he wasn’t certain that she’d start crying all over again in response— the rest of the hike here with her sobs and hiccups thrumming in his ears more than enough for one day.
And the sudden proximity seems to work because instantly, she stops shifting around; nearly stops breathing altogether when she swallows. “What are you…”
“Just, uh, need you to calm down, yeah?” he pats at her hip before she’s clumsily humming out another apology.
And despite the slight trace of the muddy water, her hair still smells of forest berries and wildflowers, making exasperation worm its way into his veins. He doesn’t understand why she’s trusting her life in his hands so thoughtlessly; it’s like she has no sense of self-preservation with the way she’s blindly following him anywhere, when not even a day ago he attempted to murder her.
He wonders if she’s always been like this; naive and dumb, always seeing the good in people, even when there isn’t any. All it took was a few remotely sweet words and she’s already allowing him to hold her this close— a foolish deer resting peacefully next to a starving wolf and expecting not to get hurt.
Momentarily, he gets the urge to just finish the job right now, wrap his arm around her throat until the flame burns out, leaving her eyes dull, lifeless. After all, it would make his life considerably easier. He can almost feel it— the moment her heart comes to a halt in her ribcage as she turns into nothing more than flesh and bones, freeing him from this burden.
And at the end of the day, it’s part of his nature to kill for his own benefit, muscles nearly stinging with the self-serving temptation because that’s what he’s always been; selfish.
“Rafe, that hurts,” her voice is small, nervous, nonetheless forcing him to resurface to the current; his rough fingertips mindlessly sinking into the bare surface of her thigh, harsh enough to leave a bruise.
Her entire form is tense, breathing shallow and limbs unmoving, resembling a rabbit rigid with fear, only amplifying this ever-growing itch under his skin.
He clears his throat.
“Sorry,” a mutter through his teeth before she can finally feel the pressure dissipating— his thumb smoothing over the sore patch while he tries to decide what the fuck he should do with her.
