Just rewatched DFF ep 9 and I really do think this show is so beautifully meticulously artistically written, with themes and layers and so much thoughtful care. I trust wherever it leads, even if it doesn't lead to the places I want most in my heart (PerthNon vs. PheeTan revenge teams at crosshairs, culminating in a heartfelt brotherly reunion, lol if playfully grudging at how much they fucked up each other's plans despite having the same goals, and a Non who has moved on with someone who has life experiences similar enough to his to actually understand him, listen to him, and trust him. But most importantly A HEARTFELT BROTHERLY REUNION). It's just always fun to watch a show where you can expect to be surprised, you can expect to be angry at the characters, you can expect to not get what you want, and you can still expect to appreciate the writing and enjoy the experience. Love to let the story seduce me you see

kon constantly borrows tim’s shirts when he goes out as conner kent since he doesn’t have a shirt without an ‘S’ on it but it’s quite tight on him and it shows his abs. tim gladly lets kon borrow his shirts.

kon memorised tim’s heartbeats, footsteps, breathing and voice.

when they’re taking a break or they have a slow patrol night tim would cuddle under kon and they would watch about tim’s special interests.

yes tim is autistic

when bart, tim and kon first created the yj, tim mentioned that kon would be the mom if they were bart’s parents and kon haven’t stopped thinking about it ever since.

when dick found out that his baby brother had a boyfriend, he pulled kon away and threatened him to not ever hurt tim.

needless to say, kon started climbing through the windows of the wayne manor instead of using the door.

whenever tim’s having a meltdown, kon immediately comes to comfort because of his superboyfriend senses™ (superhearing) and makes terrible hot chocolate in an attempt to give tim a sense of comfort.

tim settled for coffee.

tim has dimples and he doesn’t like them, hates them in fact. so kon makes sure to compliment them every time tim smiles.

if the core four were a family: tim would be the protective, scared to death dad, kon would be the cool, somewhat irresponsible dad, bart would be the child that gives tim four heart attacks a day and cassie would be the cool but responsible (unlike kon) aunt.

kon doesn’t like it when tim falls asleep in the middle of a meeting or patrol bc that means he hasn’t been sleeping. tim told kon to wake him up if he falls asleep.

of course, kon being kon, he bring tim to the wayne manor every time he falls asleep. and brings him back to his original place before tim wakes up.

until one night when kon was bring tim to his room and dick caught them entering and he thought kon drugged his baby brother or something.

long story short, kon got hit in the face and tim realised that kon was letting him sleep.

the first time tim confessed didn’t go as planned.

kon was carrying him to a villains hideout along with the young justice and their faces were so close that tim couldn’t help but slip up.

“superboy, after landing we can go into your.. ey…” “my eyes?”

tim was lucky that kon was as oblivious as a koala.

tim stims a lot, more than he wants sometimes.

he cracks his knuckles as a stim most of the time.

tim takes kon’s superboy shirts and use them as pjs all the time even before they started dating. (this is canon i think)

according to him its bc he thought it was some knockoff shirt he bought.

the batfam are the only ones who knows about this and somehow kon still havent figured it out.

Platonic kondami but kon actually got attached to damian, so much so that when Jon finally got a hold of himself and confess his love for damian he didn't want to break things of with damian

Don't get him wrong he's HAPPY for jondami but this dude is BITTER towards his brother

And damian just decided that hey i have 2 hands you idiots, and that's how damian gain 2 superboyfriends. Both Bruce and Tim are ripping their hairs out and are gegting their kryptonite stash

and ESPECIALLY if Kon has already crushed on and gotten over TIM, and then found himself having some emotions for Damian but almost deeper because Damian is so genuine? He doesn't hide emotions or fake a damn thing, and Tim's kinda too good at that.

So yeah, for Jon to swoop in, come to his senses, but after taking Damian for granted for so long he's just...hm. Damian might deserve better. He loves his brother and he loves whatever this is with Damian, but, objectively...Damian deserves better.

and he tells Jon that one day, when they're both just frustrated and having a bad time. And maybe in front of Tim where he also starts to think about how he might have treated Kon, whoops~

And as Bruce panics and fumes and is alREADY not happy about the official jondami, let alone damian hanging out with BOTH of them SIMULTANIOUSLY, Dick's just there like '.......well you did always want him to have more friends.'

Just finished WandaVision and GOOD GOD THAT WAS AWESOME!!! First thing I have to mention is that they did a PERFECT job taking Wanda’s traditional Scarlet Witch costume from the comics and making it both sleek, modern, stylish, sexy and VERY powerful looking. If I could give the designer for that costume a trillion dollars (which I don’t have) I would do so. All I’ll say about Agatha is that she did EXACTLY what Thanos did, and that’s underestimate just how fucking broken Wanda is and I feel sorry for what happens to her while also agreeing that she total had it coming. They also showed off some of Monica’s powers and it was awesome and I can’t wait to see what else they do with her. As for the post credits scene, HOLY SHIT I don’t know where they got those stunning shots of the mountains and the lake BUT I WANT TO VISIT IT NOW!!! Last thing I can say without spoiling anything is that we DEFINITELY haven’t seen the last of Billy and Tommy by a long shot and I’m nerding out how it’s only a matter of time before WICKLING IS IN THE MCU AJFKEPKRODCN AAAAAAAAHHH!!! My gay heart and soul are so happy and THEY NEED TO HURRY UP AND INTRODUCE TEDDY TO THE MCU!!! Hope everyone enjoyed this insane ride as much as I did, and are looking forward to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

DFF Ep11 Spoilers: New/Phee Braindump

@bellamygate asked me to turn the Phee/New discussion in the replies of this post into its own post and I DO keep thinking about them, so:

After Tee and New throw away their futures for Non, in a deranged and desperate kind of self-abasement, White descends from a different, happier genre to avert Tee's depression trajectory and get him back onto a path with some hope, but New has no one. New is completely alone, clinging to his ghosts of the past for warmth as he burns down his entire future. Then @turtlesocksv2 brought up Phee, and his role and potential role in New's life!

And it got me thinking about how alone together Phee and New are. How they start out theoretically aligned in their grief and thirst for answers and accountability, but Phee wanders off their shared path into the woods with Jin pretty fast, and New spends the next two years trying to yank him back next to him in their partnership with brute force.

New has no relationships and nobody to help him process his grief or his pain or his very existent mental illness; the only people he has in his life after losing his ENTIRE FUCKING FAMILY are the high school kids who tortured his brother to death, and Phee. So yeah, when he calls Phee a slut and accuses him of cheating on the brother I believe New believes in his heart is fully dead, what I really think he's accusing him of is cheating on New. They're in this like unhappy arranged vengeance marriage, which New originally told Phee he could leave at any time and finish high school, but even after the passion went out in the first few months New's been hanging onto their partnership for dear life because Phee is all he's got.

ALSO: The cinematic parallels between New accusing Phee of cheating on Non when what he's actually mad about is Phee "cheating" on their shared project, and Phee accusing Non of "cheating" on him with Keng, when the real betrayal (which I don't believe Phee has ever admitted to himself) is that Non went outside their little codependency cocoon for help, and didn't trust Phee to be a superboyfriend who could singlehandedly fix all his problems.

(@turtlesocksv2 pointed out New is right there begging Phee to be his murder superboyfriend! What's the issue even!!! Why can't Phee commit!!! Are New's tears not delicate enough?? Does he smell too strongly of weed and loathing? Is he too tall to cradle protectively in ur arms?? Too much older than you to bottom??? Stop buying into fandom discourse about assigned roles, Phee! >:()

I also just love the idea of slippage in New's mind, between where Non ends and New begins. Phee tries the "Is this what Non would have wanted?" shit and New nearly laughs in his face, because New wants retribution: it's personal for him. They took his entire family. What they did to Non, they did to Non and New's parents, they did to New. I want to know how much he identifies with Non, how much he's lost sight of what Non would or wouldn't want, how often he deliberately hallucinates Non to talk to him, to consult with him, etc. (New is so alone did I mention how alone he is), but it's fascinating to me that his response to Phee isn't "yes he would fucking want this, I know him best" but, very clearly: "do you think I care what he wants right now?"

Stony high school sweethearts where Tony, taken in and adopted by Edwin and Ana Jarvis, attends public school and gains a huge crush on the resident bully beater and shrimpy hero Steve, aka as his best friend, and has said feelings reciprocated. The two date and are practically glued to the hip. No different to them growing up together as besties. Now there’s more hand-holding and the occasional kiss. 

They spend every minute that they can together and would spend plenty more if only there were more hours in the day. So they settle for hours at night to share a bed and cuddle. 

Now Ana and Sarah are lax when it came to the two dating, but even Steve and Tony know they have to put their foot down when it came to sleeping together. Having sleepovers as best friends is one thing. Having sleepovers as boyfriends is another. They’ll say no if the two even try to ask.  

Instead, they’re ninjas and decide to sneak into each other’s rooms through their windows at night. Tony is just small enough to fit through Steve’s small window and Steve, well, Steve can fit through almost any with his tiny stature. 

Every night, may it be school night or weekend, the two share a bed together, swapping every now and then with whichever bed is more convenient or closest. They get so used to this that on the rare nights where one can’t make it to the other and they try to sleep alone they have the most horrible rest a teenager has to endure. The next day it’s pretty obvious to all the two didn’t get proper rest.

They make up for it the next time they can sneak into each other’s room. Cuddle the hell out of each other. 

Then it starts to happen. 

Growth spurts. 

It’s not that bad on Tony’s end. He gets a few inches more on him and he does widen out a bit, but he blames that one the many burgers they chow on. All in all, he still fits through Steve’s window no problem. Every now and then getting snagged by the shoulder but always pushing through. 

For Steve, it’s the absolute worst. He gains a few inches around the same time Tony starts to get them, but unlike his genius boyfriend, Steve. Doesn’t. Stop. One month he’s shorter than Tony. The next he’s equal to Tony. A week after he’s an inch taller than another and than another. At one point Tony demands he tell his body to chill the fuck out with the growing but alas, his body doesn’t listen. 

Not only that, Steve’s body widens, too. To a greater extent than Tony’s. One minute, Steve’s shoulders to waist ratio is that of a stick. The next, he’s a walking dorito and a hazard to window frames. Especially Tony’s window frame. 

At the start of gaining those few inches, Steve is still able to push through the window no problem. When those inches reach Tony they start to notice Steve getting stuck and needing to shake himself in order to squeeze in. They don’t talk about it after it first happens and ignore it the seven more times it happens, hoping Steve will stop growing and finally settle on his height. 

They rely on Tony doing most of the sneaking, but one night Tony is unable to leave because of reasons so it’s up to Steve to get his infiltration going. He gets out his home no problem and reaches Tony’s window in record time. Up he pulls himself and through he goes. At least that’s the plan anyway. The moment his shoulders touch the frames he’s stuck instantly. He wiggles around, pushing in inch by inch with his legs dangling. He kicks wildly to gain momentum just as he had done the past few times this has happened. 

Tony tries to help by grabbing the edge of Steve’s shirt and yanking, stretching the material and doing nothing for Steve’s situation. Eventually, Steve admits defeat and pushes back to dislodge himself only to realize... he won’t move. 

“Tony, don’t panic. I think I’m stuck.” 

Tony does panic. Boy does he panic. He can’t have Steve dangling out his window at this time of night. What if a neighbor sees? Sees the lower half of a random person outside his window? The neighbors might think someone is breaking in, or Tony is trying to sneak someone inside. Both of which are equally bad because it’ll result in them calling his parents and he can’t have that! 

Tony pushes. Steve pushes. The frame creaks but nothing changes. Steve is really stuck there and they are both dead if they don’t do something soon. Steve admits defeat and is ready for his honorable death. Tony is too young to die. 

Tony, frantic, calls up the gang for help. Less than twenty minutes later here are Natasha, Clint, Bruce, Thor, Sam, Bucky, Rhodey and Pepper standing on Tony’s lawn. Their hair tussled in different shapes and forms and all wearing a variety of pajamas and looking at these pair of legs dangling out Tony’s window. 

They laugh for a good minute before working together to each grab a hold of Steve’s long legs and pull. Steve pops out from the woodwork like nothing. He’s not expecting the sudden release and falls face-first on the lawn. The gang pat themselves over a job well done, say their goodbyes and wish the two luck on figuring out how to get Steve inside and if he gets stuck again they’re not picking up their phones this time. 

Tony and Steve are left alone again. They put their heads together to try and figure this out. A lightbulb flicks on in one of their heads. 

“Do you want to try the front door?” Tony says. 

“Yeah, yeah I’ll try the front door,” Steve agrees.
