Being in a relationship with Bruce Wayne: a journey - Reader's origin story
When I started this new Batman obsession, I soooo needed to get this out of my system, so I wrote and wrote and wrote. I figured I could share this with you.
I start with reader's origin story because some stuff will be hinted througout the series (10 parts so far) and because it explains some of her reactions.
Just so you know, it's afab!reader, but there is absolutely NO description of her, and nothing in her backstory says she is white. But as a white girl myself, if I missed something, PLEASE LET ME KNOW and send me a DM. I really want you all to enjoy some Bruce Wayne x reader, no matter who you are or what you look like!!
That being said, enjoy <3
Warnings: no proof reading, awful childhood with toxic parents, mentions of death and violence, reader has a negative image of Batman
You were coming from the poorest neighbourhood of Gotham. The most dangerous one as well: the Narrows.
You had been lucky to climb the social ladder thanks to your grandma who loved you more than anything and absolutely wanted you to study abroad. She wanted better for you. She wanted you to meet your true potential. She always said that if she - as well as your mother - had been a little more educated, they would have been women of power. And more importantly, they would have been women of freedom. By now, it was too late for her and for her daughter, but it was not too late for you. She decided to sacrifice everything she had to give you what the women of the family never had before.
By allowing you to get an education, she also saved you from a very dark family. She saved you from your father, who used to be a gangster closely working with Don Falcone and to be friends with Victor Zsasz. Your father ended in jail before dying there.
It was what people said at least.
Your mother didn’t know if he had been killed there or if he killed himself. Either way, she was relieved this monster was now gone from her existence. But you knew the truth: you were 16 when this happened, and you had known your father very well. You had followed him for all those years, like his shadow. He used you as a right hand because you were his favourite kid. It meant you knew Don Falcone personally. So when your father “died”, you knew better than to believe it. You went to the Roman, and you asked him to open the coffin after the funeral, just to make sure if all of this was true or not. You weren’t too surprised when you found rocks instead of a body. Don Falcone offered to work for him because you had potential indeed.
But you declined when your grandmother insisted for you to get an education. You had been at a crossroad: you could have started the life of a gangster or you could have been something else. Still now, you wondered what gave you the strength to be something else.
About your father, you never heard about him so far, and you were grateful about it. You had realised as you grew up that he was using you because you were a smart and silent kid. You knew how to behave with dangerous people: you never let anyone or anything intimidate you. When you weren’t with your father, you were reading books, so you quickly learnt to have a way with words and to read people as well.
You guessed it was still useful now, and you hated it that it was all thanks to your father. At least, your grandma offered you another life, and you would forever be grateful for that. You couldn’t blame your own mother who never loved you - you looked way too much like your father. She was a mess who ran away when your father disappeared, so you really only had your grandma left to take care of you.
You went aboard. You went to England and you studied. You studied hard to the point of becoming a top student in college and then in university.
You understood what it was to be free indeed. You enjoyed your life away from Gotham, and you weren’t too sure if you would ever go back there.
However, after your graduation, your grandma’s health started to go down. Your mother didn’t want to go back to Gotham to take care of her, and your grandma didn’t want to leave Gotham because it had been her home her whole life. She also strongly believed that if people like Batman were fighting for the city, she couldn’t go away and seem ungrateful. You tried to convince her that Batman probably didn’t care, but she was stubborn.
At that time, Batman was so young and so fresh. People didn’t know if they should like him or not. You didn’t particularly like him. You weren’t too sure to understand why he was doing what he was doing. Most importantly, you felt like he was taking care of the big villains and letting most of the population of Gotham alone. The man clearly didn’t come from the Narrows and he couldn’t understand that if more than half of the neighbourhood population was working for the big villains as goons was because they didn’t have any other choice. You heard about his “gadgets” and you thought that all this money could have bought a school in the Narrows. Or a hospital. Or anything else useful.
Sometimes, you felt like you were being a little bit harsh on the Bat; at least someone fought against Don Falcone. You knew what the Roman was capable of, and yeah, maybe Batman was better than you wanted to admit it.
You ended up coming back to Gotham so you could take care of your grandma. She loved you even more for that, even if she didn’t want you to ruin your career for her. You easily found a job and slowly but surely went higher in society. You were good with words. You were good at getting people to do what you wanted, and more importantly, you were good at getting people to tell you their darkest secrets. You were doing well. You were happy to be back in Gotham, actually. It was your home too.
Years went by, and new vigilantes arrived, disappeared, and came back. Only Batman was always there. You still weren’t a big fan of him, even if you could admit he was clearly doing his best for the city. You preferred the new guy in town, though: Red Hood. He was taking care of things, and he also had the reputation to protect the kids and the civilians.
Your grandma was very excited when she learnt you were both living in his “territory”. You actually met him one night. He seemed to be looking around. When he spotted you, he walked to you.
“Hello, ma'am. Is everything alright? Do you need someone to get you home safely? This isn’t a very safe place right now. An asshole hid bombs everywhere around here.” he had told you, and you were a little bit surprised after everything you heard about him.
He was known to be a Crime Lord and to be some sort of enemy to Batman, but not really one either.
“I have lived here since forever. I’m all good, thank you” you replied with a smile “Thank you for being around” you said
“Oh well, you really shouldn’t thank me.” he hummed, clearly taken aback.
He wasn’t used to people thanking him for anything
“On the contrary, finally, someone is doing something. Not like Batman. Hope you’ll stick around” you added
“Ok, let me bring you to your building, at least.” Red Hood insisted, and you agreed.
You didn’t know why, but you felt you could trust him.
You weren’t an investigative journalist at that time, but later, you would write in favour of Red Hood… and quite in disfavour of Wayne Enterprises and his CEO.
When your grandma died, you took care of her funeral and of her flat, on your own. You gave the key back to find your own place. It was smaller, but at least you weren’t in the Narrows anymore. You stayed close to Red Hood’s territory, though. You never thought about leaving Gotham again, even if the Daily Planet offered you a job in Metropolis. You needed to stay in Gotham. She was your home, and you wanted to fight for her.
Another decade went by and even if you did good - everyone was reading your articles and knowing your name (without knowing your face) - you clearly had never thought you would go to one of those charity galas hosted by the popular Bruce Wayne.
You were currently writing for an independent and political newspaper of Gotham. Bruce Wayne was often criticised in it, which was one of the only media to do so. Bruce Wayne had offered someone to come over so they could see he had nothing to hide and that his charity galas had real purposes.
You had been chosen among the journalists because they knew you wouldn’t be naïve enough to believe everything the man would tell you.
You had no idea this gala would change your life.
And Bruce’s as well.

“What’s wrong with her?” Ann’s sharp tone is dulled behind the dim blur all around you.
“She... she’ll be fine. She’s... adjusting,” Steve explains hesitantly.
A heavy sigh makes your shiver, an echo of another monster. You sink further down into the bed, eyes shut, body locked up. You couldn’t move if you tried.
“You had to get her? She’s stupid. Maria wasn’t--”
“Shut up about Maria,” Steve barks at Ann. “She’s gone. You want a kid, this is what we do.”
“Should we... should we talk about this here?” She asks.
“You’re the one who brought it up, Ann,” he retorts. “Besides, she’s dissociating. She probably thinks she’s at home. It’s better she’s like this. Easier.”
“It won’t be when--”
“Shut up,” he snarls again. “Go.”
Silence. Tense and thick. Finally, a set of footfalls depart and another come closer. You don’t react as the figure sits on the edge of the bed, not even as they touch your shoulder through the layers of blankets.
“Sweetie, how are you doing?” Steve coos. “You wanna get up? You must be hungry.”
You don’t answer him. You can’t. You’re embarrassed. He’s right about you. Ann is right about you. You’re broken. That fact doesn’t hurt as much as another epiphany; he chose you because of that. You’re not special, you’re not pretty, he doesn’t want you. They want what you can give them. Just like Andy.
“Can I bring you some food? You have to eat, sweetie,” rubs your shoulder. “Not just for you.”
You want to scream. Just the very thought of having a baby makes your skins crawl. Your muscles constrict to the point of agony every time you try to imagine it. To you, the very idea is a like a parasite invading your body.
Just like they did.
Andy. Ann. Steve.
She’s right. You are stupid. You made the same mistake twice. Worse, you betrayed and abandoned the only person who every cared about you. The person who would never violate you or call you dumb and useless. You left Amber behind but you think it’s better that you did. Better for her.
You have no where to go. You’re trapped. This is how it’s going to be. You’re going to keep letting them use you and then you’re going to have a baby. A baby! A baby? No, no, no.
“Sweetie,” Steve pulls down the blanket to caress your face, “you wanna come to the office today? We can talk. Maybe after, we can go shopping. We’ll need to start getting stuff for the nursery.” You shudder as he strokes along your cheek, “you know, me and Ann, we never thought we could have another. You’re... you’re giving us an amazing gift. You’re making our dreams come true.”
You stay as you are. He takes a deep breath and spreads his hand over your head. He bends over you and brushes his lips along your temple and to your ear.
“Get the fuck up.”
His voice makes you squeak and recoil. As you try to pull away, he catches the back of your head and keeps you there. Your eyes flick open and you gape up at him. He makes you sit up as he grips your skull between his large hands.
“You’re not going to do this. Not to my baby,” he snarls, “so get up, get dressed, and be a good girl, dove.”
You pout and your eyes wet, “Steve, please--”
“You keep this up, and I’ll have to go see how your sister’s doing...” he intones. “Living all alone, she must miss you.”
“What?” You croak.
“Someone has to keep an eye on her,” he says.
“What do you mean?” You whine.
“You really want me to say it?” He snarls.
“No, why? Why? You know—I t-t-told you—Andy--”
He shoves you back down, so hard your neck snaps back and you bite your tongue, “don’t say his fucking name to me. Don't even breathe him in the same sentence as me. I’m not like him and you know that, sweetie. Look how much I’ve helped you. How much I’ve actually helped you.”
He stands and kicks the bed. “I’m giving you a purpose. Something you never had before.” He scoffs and paces around as you rub your neck, “you were nothing before. No one wanted you, no one needed you.”
“Stop, please. That’s mean--”
“The truth hurts, baby,” he growls. “So let’s get the fuck up and go.”
You sniffle and shakily push yourself up. Your heart races and the rampant beat pounds in your ears. You push yourself to the edge of the bed and the blankets slip away from your body. As you stand, his eyes flash at you.
You’re still naked. They just leave you like that when they’re done. You cross the room but don’t make it to the dresser. He catches you by your arm and drags you back.
“Not so fast,” he shoves you towards the bed. “Just to make sure,” he forces you onto the bed. “Open up, baby,” he climbs over you, pinning you as his hand creeps between your legs.
You close your eyes again. You recede back into the shell hewn form years of self-hatred and fear. The cocoon that never let you free. You would never fly free and be a butterfly. You would only ever be this. A burden. Nothing.
He ruts into you but you don’t feel it. You can’t. His intrusion doesn’t hurt anywhere as bad as the truth. And you can’t blame anyone but yourself. You chose this.
🕊️
It happens all at once. One moment, you’re sitting there, watching Avery and Harper run in circles around the front room, and the next, you’re keeled over, hurling onto the carpet. You don’t think much of it. Most days, you feel sick. You don’t have an appetite but they make you eat. You still have scratches around your lips from Ann’s manicure.
You stay bent over the carpet, panting. Avery squeals, “Moooom!” and Harper snickers and adds a draw out, “ewwwwwwwww”.
You’re pushed back against the couch. You’re breathless and dizzy. You gulp down the bile and watch Ann grimace down at the puddle between your feet. She puts her hands on her hips.
“Steve,” she rings out.
Another shadow appears. The adults are quiet as the kids loom behind, “is she sick?” Avery asks.
“Go. Take your brother to his room.” Ann snips.
The girl retreats as if away from a lash. You stare up at them. Steve bends and picks you up off the couch. You refuse to set your feet so he carries you away.
“I’m not cleaning this up,” Ann snarls.
“Yeah, yeah,” Steve says, “did you check the calendar?”
Footsteps follow him as you hang limp in his arms. He takes you into the bedroom, the dark cell where you languish between their grabbing hands, where you wallow in despair and defeat. He lays you down.
“Makes sense,” Ann drones. “She’s about on track.”
He hums and nods. “I’ll clean up. We need to be sure.”
“I’ll need help,” she sniffs. “Just look at her.”
You stare at the ceiling. The world fades behind the ring of light in your vision as the light bulbs sears into your retina. You close your eyes and everything moves around you as you stay still.
It’s quiet when you rise from the depths. Out of the void of your own mind and the prison of your body. The lamp next to the bed is on and you’re wearing a shirt you’ve never seen before. There’s a faint scent of urine in the air. You’re all alone.
Your stomach turns, mulching in on itself, but you ignore it. You just can’t be bothered. The swell of sickness chokes you and you just wallow it back down. Your body spasms with the effort.
You roll onto your stomach and close your eyes. When you open them again, you’re spewing puke down the bed spread, watching it pool on the hardwood. You wipe your mouth with the back of your head and groan.
An inch away is the bin from the bathroom. If you’d been awake, you might have been able to reach it. You stretch out your arm and drag it closer. There's a rattle in the bottom.
You stare down at the white and blue plastic stick. Without fear, you grab it and bring it up to read the little window. Pregnant. That’s it. That's the end. You drop the test into your own puke and roll onto your other side. You dive back into the despondency of sleep.
You’re woken again by an angry voice. Then a swat on the back of your head, “disgusting, aren’t you?” Ann chides.
You can hear her scrubbing the floor as the smell of puke hangs in the air. Puke and piss. Filthy, like you.
When the room is silent and still, you lay on your back. You’re still nauseous. Weak and tired. Everything is so much more intense than it’s ever been.
The door opens. You don’t react. Steve calls your name and you still don’t answer. He drags you up the bed and makes you sit against the pillows, placed against the headboard. Then he puts the little folding table over your lap. The scent of food makes you grumble.
“You have to eat,” he says. “It’s not just about you anymore, dove.”
His timbre is harsh, hateful almost. He holds up the spoon and you stare it down. You keep your lips sealed.
“Open your damn mouth or I’ll do it for you.”
You wince and obey. You don’t understand why he changed. He used to be nice. He used to be patient and gentle. He said he was going to fix you. You take the mouthful of porridge and swallow without tasting.
“You’re... a doctor,” you squeak.
“Hmm?” He scoops up more of the oats.
“You’re a doctor... you’re supposed to help me--”
“I have helped,” he rams the spoon in your mouth again. “You think it would be any different with him? He wouldn’t want you the minute you got knocked up.” He stirs the bowl as he speaks, “but if you give us a healthy baby, we’ll keep you.”
If.
You open your mouth again. You stay quiet. You don’t like talking to him. Not anymore. It's always about the baby. It’s always spiteful. He hates you.
“You get it?” He sneers. “You are carrying our child, that means you have to take care of yourself,” he grabs your hand and wraps it around the spoon, “you need to grow up.” He guides the spoon into the bowl with a clink. “Because if you don’t start taking care of my baby, then I will make sure you fucking suffer. I’ve lost too much already.”
You whimper and he lets you go. You raise the spoon and lean forward to put the heap of steaming oats between your lips. His eyes are as icy as his words. You’re scared. You’re even more terrified of him than you ever were of Andy.
“Good girl,” he says but it doesn’t make you feel good. Not anymore.
You finish the whole bowl, and the fruit on the side, and the orange juice. He gathers up the tray and leaves you. You slump against the pillows and rub your stomach, trying to calm the storm inside.
It’s more than the latent tide of nausea that makes you restless. You’re head pounds. You can’t even close your eyes. If you sleep any longer, your skull might just split. Your body is achy and your heart feels as if its always racing. You sit up and look around the room.
Nine months. You know that’s how long it takes. You’ll have less than that by now. You’re not sure how long it would be.
You turn and shimmy to the edge of the bed. You slide open the night table drawer and take out your journal. You search through the pages. Steve told you to right down your cycle...
Hm, you can’t figure it out. Probably two months? Maybe less? It doesn't feel like that long.
You put the journal back and your knuckles brush on the smooth cover of your tablet. You pause and lean forward to look into the drawer. You stopped using it because you didn’t want to be reminded of Andy. You couldn’t draw because your hand wouldn’t listen to your brain.
You glance at the door then take out the tablet. You push back into bed and put your knees up, draping the blankets over them so if anyone walks in, you can hide the screen. You press the button on the side. It takes a moment but it lights up.
You wait until the homescreen appears. Thirty percent. You can’t remember where the charger went.
You pull down the notifications. There are a lot. Automatic alerts from the camera at Andy’s house, messages from a strange account that can only be him, and several app updates.
You swipe them all away. You flick over the menu, back and forth, back and forth. You tap on Insta and wait for it to load. Your last post was a year ago; a drawing of a dove...
You go to your followers. You don’t have many but you’re only looking for one. You tap Amber’s picture. Her profile opens and your fingers twitch in surprise. Your fingertip taps the little heart and it blooms red. You quickly press again to undo the like.
Her last post is from a week ago. It’s her and a man. He doesn’t seem to want to be on camera as she kisses his cheek. Oh. You can’t bother her. She’s moved on. She’s happy and you’re going to ruin her life all over again. You’re not her responsibility.
Your eyes fill with tears as you stare at her picture. A red dot appears at the bottom over the chat icon. It blinks as several messages flow in. It's Amber.
‘Hey!’
‘Are u there?’
‘Says ur online. Pls answer me.’
You watch her messages pop up. Your lip trembles. What can you do? What can you say? You wipe your tears and snivel. Hey, sis, got myself knocked up and now I’m scared. No, that’s not it.
You hover your hands over the keyboard and steady them. You blow out between your lips and sort out the words in your head. You tap the letters slowly, taking your time.
‘I just want to say goodbye. I’m sorry for all the pain I caused. I’m glad to see that you’re happy. Love you.’
You read and reread. Over and over. Then you make yourself send it. You don’t wait for her response. What she says, doesn’t matter. She’s free from you. She doesn’t need to worry. You’re not worried either. This is just how it is.

Night of fireworks
Jihyo x fem!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
synopsis: Colorful lights began to erupt into the night sky. You felt as if your heart burst along with each explosion in the sky. Dreading the end of the festival. This is the last summer you will spend with Jihyo before you part ways.
w/c: 1.8k
warnings: none(?); maybe some angst; goodbyes; definitely some angst
a/n: i was surprised with the results of my first fic(?), not sure what to call it. thank you if you read that and left a like or reblog <3.  i was expecting nothing tbh so i was so happy to see it do better than i expected.
i was listening to Night of Fireworks by Xdinary Heroes and was inspired to write this work. i chose jihyo because i've been missing her zone & one spark era lately. DMs and asks are open. i’m still new to writing so any suggestions or comments are appreciated. apologies for any errors.
------------------------------------------------------
Jihyo looked beautiful today. She always did, but today you felt mesmerized by her. Even with the lack of light outside, as the sun had already set, Jihyo seemed to glow in your eyes.
“Come on y/n, don’t get lost.”
Your hand was grasped by Jihyo’s, pulling you along to make sure you didn’t get lost in the crowd. Jihyo looked back towards you. Blinding smile crossing her features, making her glow even more.
Your mushy thoughts and gazing were suddenly interrupted.
“There you guys are, we’ve been looking for you two everywhere.” Nayeon huffed.
“These two have been running my pockets wanting to play every festival game.” She continued. The culprits, Momo and Sana, happily ate away at a huge bucket of cotton candy. Which was also bought with Nayeon’s money. No remorse in their eyes.
Mina just silently greeted you two with a smile and waved as Nayeon clung to her arm in defeat.
“Please tell them that these games are rigged for you to lose money trying to win stupid stuffed toys!” the eldest whined.
It was the end of summer, which meant that the city’s annual summer festival was in place. The six of you had decided to come to this year’s festival. You were all still adjusting to the adult world; the youngest of your group just finishing university, others securing new jobs, and the rest of you were piled with work. This left little room for your friends to hang out like before. There were still a few of you missing tonight.
Jeongyeon and Tzuyu couldn’t make it, the vet center they’re working at had them stay for the night shift. They explained that some of the animals get jumpy with fireworks, so they were quick to oblige. Chaeyoung and Dahyun volunteered to stay behind with them to help, expressing concern over their friends being left out. Really they just wanted to play with the puppies and kittens all night.
Your group of friends sought a night of enjoyment and unwinding. The girls were all glad to be able to have found time to gather and spend together. Jihyo was particularly delighted that majority of your group could make it. Wanting to see your girlfriend even more happy you had a plan. Tonight every wish Jihyo had was your command.
Jihyo wanted funnel cake?
You bought her some.
Jihyo wanted to go on the bumper carts?
You teamed up to annoy Nayeon by cornering her and continuously crashed into her cart.
Jihyo wanted a ‘stupid stuffed toy’?
You played the festival games until you won her a cute stuffed elephant.
Much to Nayeon’s dismay. Momo and Sana gave her puppy eyes and promised to treat her to dinner if she won them something. She relented of course. Surprisingly, or not, Mina won a medium-sized panda on her second attempt of the ring toss.
Despite being able to enjoy the festival and being with your friends, there was a gnawing feeling eating away at you. It would creep up on you throughout the night. Not letting you stray too far from the reality of tonight. A reminder of the ticking timer in your chest.
This summer festival would be the last you get to spend with Jihyo.
Jihyo had gotten a promotion. Said promotion was a significant milestone in her career, as she was still a rookie in her office, only having worked for her company for two years. This was a chance she couldn’t turn down, it would be unwise to do so.
However, there was a major downside to this promising opportunity. It required her to relocate. Jihyo had to move to the company’s prestigious headquarters — in Paris. She would be moving to a beautiful and alluring city while gaining valuable experience for her work, but it also meant she had to leave her current life behind. Her friends, family, and you.
Jihyo didn’t mind the idea of starting fresh in a new country. Her ambitiousness and work ethic would make that a smooth process. What weighed heavily in both her heart and mind, was what it meant for the two of you.
Despite your willingness to move to Paris and follow your girlfriend, she protested. You had just secured a job with your dream company a couple months ago. Following Jihyo meant giving up the job you dedicated your blood, sweat, and tears for. That was something Jihyo couldn’t allow. The memory of you jumping in joy when you landed the job fresh in mind. She couldn’t take that away from you by asking you to leave with her. Hesitantly you obeyed Jihyo, not wanting to further upset her or cause any more turmoil.
Uncertainty filled your hearts. Fear of what the distance, different time zones, and unforeseeable changes would make of your relationship. So you both reluctantly agreed to not let it reach to a point of no return. Not wanting to taint the beautiful relationship you cultivated throughout the years.
To set aside the worries and stress, Jihyo invited the group to the summer festival. Afterall, this would probably be the last time she gets to hang out with everyone for a while.
Jihyo’s main reason for coming to the summer festival was to see the firework show with you. She wanted to spend a memorable night with you before the end.
As you prepared to leave to watch the show, Jihyo said her goodbyes to your friends. Both sides making promises of keeping in touch.
The conversations between Jihyo and the girls made your heart clench, knowing that you were going to have a similar talk later that night. Taking in the fact that you would have a different goodbye than your friends. One more permanent.
Once again Jihyo was leading you, hand in hers, to a vacant park that would have a nice view of the firework show. Once again, you just cherished the sight of her.
As you sat down on the grass, waiting for the firework show to start, you realized that the night was ending. Without thinking you held onto Jihyo’s hand tighter. In response, the shorter girl placed herself between your legs. She wrapped your arms around her as she leaned herself into your front.
The distant crowd began to applaud and cheer as the countdown for the show began.
Colorful lights began to erupt into the night sky. You felt your chest constrict tightly with each explosion that fired into the sky. Dreading the end of the festival.
You looked up into the sky, at the fireworks.
Then you looked at Jihyo.
Her face was tilted upwards looking at the sky. Big round eyes reflecting the colorful lights. Soft black hair cascading down her profile in slight waves. Mouth slightly agape and forming a bright smile. Face expressing momentary awe and joy. You couldn’t help but feel an immense amount of love for the girl in your arms — the girl who held your heart.
Fireworks were nowhere close to shooting stars that you could wish upon. Still, you hoped that they could grant you just one wish. You gazed at the fireworks and you prayed to the explosive colors in the sky. To let you stay here forever, with Jihyo.
As the build up for the grand finale of the firework show began, you felt your heart’s timer begin to run out. The night was over. You held Jihyo tighter. Buried your head onto her shoulder. Trying to ingrain this moment into your brain.
Before the final fireworks went off Jihyo stood up unraveling herself from your warm embrace. Her back towards you.
“y/n…”
“it’s time.”
You hesitated to stand up. Not quite ready for what was to come.
You thought that maybe it was just you who felt devastated to have to say goodbye. Until Jihyo turned around and lifted her head to look at you. There were tears that had already fallen from her eyes and new ones that threatened to fall. She ignored her tears and just smiled at you.
Jihyo grabbed both of your hands to hold in hers. She observed your face intently. Slowly nearing towards you. She closed the small distance between you. Lips meeting in a gentle but desperate need to be together.
Her hands came up to caress your face but stopped when she felt the tears that ran down your cheeks. Tears that you hadn’t realized had fallen. Jihyo pulled back and wiped away your tears.
“This is what’s best, right Jihyo?” you muttered. Suddenly unsure of what you had both agreed upon. Not quite set on letting each other go. Not set on saying goodbye.
“Yes,” Jihyo quietly replied as her hands roamed your shoulders. Her body pushing against your front to be as close as possible. To savor your touch for these last few moments.
“I love you Ji,”
“I always will.” you whispered as you moved a strand of Jihyo’s hair to tuck behind her ear. Your other hand finding her waist to hold.
“So will I, y/n/n. I love you too.”
Jihyo pushed herself even deeper into your hold, enveloping you in a hug. You reciprocated her actions. Filling as many gaps between your bodies as you could.
The remaining fireworks shot upwards into a final explosion. Finally the ticking timer in your heart went off. Heart bursting alongside the lights in the sky.
Without hesitating you brought your lips to your lover’s. You emitted all the love you felt for Jihyo into the kiss. Your last kiss.
As the fireworks began to fade, you both pulled away. Jihyo brought her hands to yours. You stared down at the connected limbs. Tears brimmed at the corner of your eyes. You willed yourself not to cry as you looked up. You wanted these last moments with Jihyo to be as clear as crystal.
The girl before you still glowed in the dark night. She looked stunning, angelic even, despite the tears in her eyes. Those round mesmerizing eyes held something scenic, a view filled with sadness and love. Far more captivating than any shooting star or firework show.
Thousands of unspoken thoughts were behind both of your eyes. Thoughts that you were able to comprehend without either of you having to voice them.
Jihyo gently let go of your hand, her fingers softly lingering for a moment longer than necessary. The inevitable end of the festival has come and so has the conclusion of your time.
You felt yourself wanting to reach out, to hold her hand tighter as her fingers began to slip away, a last attempt at grasping this fleeting moment that you wished could last forever. The look in her eyes pleaded for you to not make this any more difficult than it already was. A mixture of sadness and adoration. Your own gaze reflected Jihyo’s. A shared understanding; this parting, though painful, was necessary.
Jihyo was the first to speak.
“Goodbye, baby” she solemnly drawled.
“Goodbye, love” you returned.
Still rooted in the same spot, you watched the love of your life walk away. Tears now freely falling. Heart in ashes.
The night of fireworks is over.

Speaking to the media as a UK Army
Earlier in the week I mentioned in a local group chat that the UK’s attitude towards BTS and KPOP overall had changed. It felt like everyone was excited during Dynamite and then interest was quickly lost. Things got worse after the Festa Dinner. Because of previous experiences with a certain boy group, it was reported that the members would never return. These stories were soon edited, but it was obvious that there was a certain bias against the members now. The previous hype posts for them and their new releases were less present. Instead, we have gone back to having to do everything ourselves during chapter 2.
As I am sure many of you are aware, it has already been a tough week for UK Army. We found out that MUSE had inclusions, making it harder to chart. We got backlash from solos for something that wasn’t our fault and the emails we sent were ignored or received weird responses. We are a resilient bunch though and we continued to promote and gain more funds. I figured that things for us couldn’t get any worse. I was wrong. On Sunday I was sent an article from the BBC by a friend. They asked my thoughts on it and I quickly understood why. Something else worried me though. I recognized the journalist. He is someone that we have history with. He kindly wrote about Persona and Wembley in 2019, but he also sneaked in a line that he thought that the members were miming through the concert. At the time, a few Army tried talking to him about it on Twitter and he was receptive to the feedback. I decided to try and do the same and to do it privately in the DM’s. Something which he told me himself that he appreciated. I spent a good amount of time drafting my message. I made sure that it was polite, but also included the reasons why a certain part of the article was troublesome. During this, a friend of mine also made a detailed thread correcting the misinformation. Once the message was sent, I went on with my day and waited to see if I would get a reply. Much to my surprise, I did indeed get a reply. I don’t have consent to share our messages, but we replied back and forth a few times and he said that he would look into changing the wording. I quoted my friend's thread, explaining that I messaged him privately and that he was working on it. As someone who posts about Jikook on a regular basis, you could say that I am used to getting unnecessary abuse. However, I was not fully prepared for the response to this. As more hours passed and there weren't any changes made, the more anger and hate I received. This greatly confused me, as I wasn’t the one who wrote the article itself. I just wanted to try and help and we had to be patient.
A day later the edit was made. I messaged the journalist again to thank him and he responded back, explaining that the reason it took so long was because there was a debate internally about the best way to respond. I then shared on TL about the edit being made. It wasn’t the best edit, but that’s all we got. Unfortunately, the hate towards myself increased even more. Some said that the article was my fault, that I failed BTS or that I was an anti. Plus a few words that I daren’t repeat here. Some saw what was happening to me and sent kind support. These included people who I have never interacted with before and I will be forever thankful for that. I also spoke with some about the response of the general public towards the article. The article was heavily advertised so there were discussions in relation to Seventeen going to Glastonbury. This hasn’t been done before so some were curious and some were confused. It was interesting to see the reaction to it, even if it was poorly written. I was personally exhausted though.
This whole ordeal started on Sunday and I woke up on Tuesday still feeling a bit wary of receiving more hate. On top of this, I had gained around 300 more followers from all of this and didn’t know how they would react once I started posting Jikook. If I’m honest, I felt a bit uncomfortable with everything going on. What did shock me though, is that some of these new followers were going through my “pinned” post and liking the threads on Jikook. It made me a bit self-conscious, but I didn’t want it to overcome me and Jimin’s promotions though, so I came up with an idea.
July is my Birthday month and to celebrate I am doing a giveaway for other UK Army. This gives them a chance to get any albums they currently do not own and to try and boost sales for Jimin at the same time. The UK fanbase don’t really want to be associated with me because of my account, so I decided to do everything myself. To help boost morale, positivity and the community spirit that Army has. Overall, I do not regret reaching out to the journalist. He was rather difficult to speak to, but an edit deserved to be made for the way in which it was written. I appreciate the discussion we had and those that supported me. My focus will continue to be on Chapter 2. Look after yourselves and each other.

A/N: hi, you guys! can you please give me some ideas for a series? that would be very helpful and if you wanna collab or even make stuff with me, please dm me. furthermore, I hope you enjoy, beauty.
“Anniversary”
Part two
Relationships: Dogday x bat!reader x Catnap
Warnings: maybe smut in part 3
but for now fluff and a lil angst
catnap and Dogday had woke up, alone in their shared bed with you. Dogday physically pouted and catnap just got up and brushed it off. but Dogday could tell he was disappointed to. Today was your guys anniversary and you couldn’t even bother to wake up with them? wow.
you were outside with hoppy hoppscotch, she was helping you make your future husbands gifts. you were happy until you seen a mix of fur. Purple and orange. you hurried hoppy off with the gifts as the taller ones just stared at you. “what was that?” Dogday asked, curiously as he watched hoppy hop away. catnap just stared at you, not really in the mood for talk. his voicebox still a bit glitchy, making his voice deep and quiet. you had quickly came inbetween the two and y’all had begun walking around the playcare, doing your usual duties. like feeding, watching, and playing with the children.
you had been paired with kickin’ again from the higher ups and you seen how catnap and Dogday reacted. seriously? on our Anniversary? you thought to yourself as the higher ups scurried you all to your groups.
you two were walking when a kid had gently grazed your wing. your wing was sharp, a little to sharp and the kids finger had got cut. it was only a little but once he started crying, the rest of the children and looked at you. scared. you tried to explain and say you were sorry but it didn’t help that much. you looked to your side and just sighed, turning on heel and going to your house, waiting for punishment from the higher ups.
night fell and the kids were tucked in their beds. fast asleep. Dogday and catnap came through the door and hurriedly came to the bedroom. Dogday sat on the bed and held you as you cried into his chest. they had heard from kickin about what happened and they didn’t see it as your fault at all. it’s the kids fault if anything? but they didn’t say that. not yet.
when you finally sniffed and stopped crying, you looked up at them both and catnap kissed your temple as he curled on the bed, knowing you loved to lay inbetween the two. you got out of dogdays hold after he kissed your tear stroked cheeks. you laid in the crease of catnap and Dogday came at the crease of you, sandwiching you inbetween them.
“it wasn’t your fault, batsy. you know that, don’t you?” dogday asked, kissing and rubbing your back softly. you didn’t expect catnap to say anything due to his voice. but he did. all for you.
“you couldn’t and wouldn’t hurt anyone on purpose.. we all know that.” it was a plain response but you knew he meant it lovingly. you smiles at your two lovers antics to get you through your sadness. you kissed dogdays lips as a thank you. you then turned and booped your nose with catnaps. they both just smiled and held you.
“hey.. our anniversary isn’t over yet,”

It has already been a week since you found out about Dwight’s family, and since then, you have not spoken to him. He had sent messages and had been calling you, begging you to let him explain himself. But you ignore them; instead, you initiated the divorce process with a lawyer, and you were waiting for this chapter of your life to finally be over. Even when you couldn’t bear the feeling of something you touched becoming ashes again, how a shame it was for you to be an insignificant target to fool.
The truth was that Dwight was a source of light entering through your window at some point. The very first night you met him, he was a gentleman, and he treated you well until he stopped. However, the unfaithful path he had chosen for the both of you was something you could not forgive. Your marriage was ending like all the other love stories you were part of.
And that was one of the worst parts of being an adult: having to pick up the broken pieces of you by yourself, save them in your pocket, and continue with your life because it doesn’t matter how exhausted you are or not; you have to continue because you are a woman and no little child is allowed to cry anymore.
During all this week, you had been staying at Joel’s house. He reassured me that it was okay for him to sleep on the couch and insisted that you take the bed. Joel had been acting as a supportive friend throughout this difficult situation, offering a listening ear whenever you needed to vent and a shoulder to cry on, but still, the string pulling you together was burning in your finger, and for him, it seemed okay to pretend that the kiss you almost gave him didn’t happen.
As you lay in bed one night, staring up at the ceiling, thoughts of Dwight and the life you had envisioned together flooded your mind. You couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness and betrayal, but deep down, you knew that you deserved better than someone who couldn't stay faithful.
After all, you thought you deserved it. You had been physically faithful to him, but you always knew your heart belonged to Joel since the moment you met him, and loving a man while staying married to another was another type of treason.
All wells end badly if they are built on lies.
Tumblr media
"A penny for your thoughts?"
You almost dropped your cup of coffee when you heard Joel's voice saying your name.
"What?" You inquired, perplexed.
"I told you I'm leaving and taking the girls to school; are you coming?"
"No, I have to see Dwight in an hour," you said. Joel's face sank slightly at the mention of Dwight's name, as if poison had flowed from your lips. "You know, divorce things," you said somberly.
Joel nodded in agreement, although his expression revealed a tinge of anguish. "I understand," he replied softly. "Just remember, you don't have to go through this alone. I'm here for you, no matter what.
Touched by his constant support, you smiled gratefully. "Thank you, Joel. I sincerely appreciate everything you have done for me. And thank you for taking Tara to school."
As Joel gathered his belongings and prepared to go, you couldn't help but feel grateful for having him back in your life. Despite the distress you were experiencing, knowing you had someone like him by your side gave you the resilience to face whatever lay ahead.
With a deep breath, you prepared for the meeting with Dwight, reaffirming your courage and telling yourself that you deserved better than the pain he had caused you. And as you saw Joel leaving, you couldn't help but feel like the story was repeating itself, as if you weren't deserving of permanent love.
Tumblr media
The mood at the lawyer's office, where you sat across from Dwight, was strained. The air seemed heavy with unspoken thoughts and repressed feelings. Dwight squirmed uneasily in his seat, avoiding your gaze and fidgeting with the papers in front of him.
You took a deep breath, ready for the talk that needed to take place. "Dwight," you said, your voice firm but laced with bitterness, "we both understand why we're here. "This marriage... is over."
Dwight finally caught your stare, and you could feel the guilt and regret in his eyes. "I know," he replied softly, just above a whisper. "I messed up, and I apologize. I don't expect you to forgive me, but just know that I didn't mean to hurt you."
Your heart was crushed at his words, but you knew forgiveness would never come. "Yeah, I bet you didn't mean to have a child with another woman," you responded, your tone strict. "But apologies are not going to fix the damage already done. We need to move forward with the divorce, and I want you to tell Tara about your child."
Dwight nodded, a sense of resignation washing over him. "I understand," he replied, his voice full of remorse. "I will sign any paper that is required and won't disagree with it. I only want you to be happy, even if it is without me."
As you left the lawyer's office, without saying a word to him, Dwight turned to you with an eager expression in his eyes. "Can I have Tara over for dinner tonight?" he requested cautiously. "I want to tell her the truth and start making amends."
You hesitated for a moment, considering your alternatives. Regardless of the hurt and betrayal, you believed Tara deserved to know the truth about her father. And perhaps, by confronting the truth together, you would be able to repair the wounds that have been done to your family.
You sighed and nodded, an overwhelming feeling of conviction coming over you. "Yes, Dwight," you replied gently. "You can have Tara over for tonight.
Dwight nodded, a thankful smile flashing over his lips. "Thank you," he replied genuinely. "I won't let you down."
"I don't trust you, and if you make my daughter cry, I will fucking kill you, Dwight." You spoke with a steely tone to emphasize the importance of your warning.
Dwight's smile faded as he gulped and nodded his head. "I know I've let you both down," he muttered gently, his expression gloomy. "But I swear, I'll do everything I can to make things right. "I love Tara and would never do anything to hurt her."
You kept his stare for a minute, looking for any sign of sincerity. You slowly nodded, accepting his words with cautious apprehension. "But you did," you responded, your tone softening slightly. "Tara deserves nothing less than your best. "You are her father; act like one."
Dwight nodded firmly; his expression full of purpose. "I won't let you down," he said, his voice full of tenacity.
With a final nod, you turned and walked away, an avalanche of emotions spinning inside you. While you couldn't ignore the pain and treachery he'd caused you, you couldn't resist the flicker of optimism washing over you.
Tumblr media
"Hey, pretty lady, can you help me with something?" Tommy spoke while reaching over to your desk.
"What is it?" you asked, in an unnecessarily harsh tone, as Tommy lifted his gaze to meet the sadness in your eyes and laid his papers aside.
"Okay. What's wrong?" He asked, concerned.
"Nothing but a soon-to-be divorce," you responded, faking a smile as if you had said something amusing, but Tommy did not laugh or smile.
"What?" you asked. "Okay, I'm kind of stressed with some things."
"I'm sorry to hear that," he replied quietly, his voice full of sympathy. "If you need someone to talk to, I'm here for you."
You felt a rush of gratitude rush over you after Tommy's offer of support.
Despite the facade you had been trying to keep up, the weight of recent events had taken its toll, and it felt good to finally share your burden with someone else.
"Is it because of my brother, or not? What about his date tonight?"
"Joel has a date tonight." you said, your heart cracking slightly.
Tommy's face furrowed with worry as he noticed your reaction. "Yes, he mentioned it earlier. He said he was going out with someone he had recently met."
The news made your heart sink as a range of emotions swirled inside you. "Oh," was all you could say, attempting to cover up the twinge of pain that stabbed your chest.
Tommy sensed a shift in your attitude, and his expression softened with understanding. "I'm sorry, I thought you knew since you are staying at his house."
"It's okay, Tommy," you said, attempting a forced smile.
However, it was not okay.
Not long after that, Joel came to the office door, ready to go, and drew your attention with a glance around the room. Without saying anything, he gestured for Tommy to join him, and the two of them rushed toward the exit.
You couldn't help but feel a tinge of disappointment as you observed them leave together, a reminder that you'd also lost him along the way.
As they approached the door, Joel paused and returned his gaze to you, his face softening as he did so, and despite the hurt and confusion whirling inside you, you managed to muster a small, strained smile in response.
"See you later," Joel murmured, his tone tinged with concern.
You nodded in answer, attempting to cover up the chaos that was growing within you. "See you," you said, the words seeming flat on your tongue.
Joel and Tommy disappeared in just one glance, leaving you alone in the office with your thoughts.
Maybe it was time for you to move on, leave his house, and even leave this town.
Tumblr media
As the night fell, you found yourself lost in your thoughts, the events of the day weighing heavily on your mind. The sound of the door opening pulled you from your reverie, and you looked up to see Joel entering the house.
"Hey," he greeted you, his voice warm but tinged with concern as he noticed the somber expression on your face. "How was your day?"
You forced a smile, trying to mask the turmoil brewing inside you. "It was alright," you replied vaguely, avoiding his gaze.
Joel furrowed his brows, sensing that something was amiss. "Where are the girls?”
“Uhm. Sarah is upstairs doing homework”
“And Tara?" he asked, his tone filled with curiosity.
You hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to respond. "She's at Dwight's," you finally admitted, your voice barely above a whisper.
Joel's expression tensed slightly at the mention of Dwight's name, a flicker of emotion passing through his eyes before he composed himself. "Oh," was all he said, his voice neutral.
A heavy silence settled between you, the weight of unspoken words hanging in the air. Sensing the tension, you took a deep breath and decided to break the silence.
"So, uh, how was your date?" you asked, trying to sound casual despite the knot of jealousy tightening in your chest.
Joel's brows furrowed in confusion, his eyes searching yours for any hint of jest. "Date?" he echoed; his voice tinged with surprise.
Your heart sank at his reaction, realizing that perhaps you had misunderstood or misheard earlier. "Yeah, Tommy mentioned it,” you explained, trying to keep your tone light despite the growing unease in your stomach.
As you mentioned Tommy's observation, Joel's expression softened, understanding dawning in his eyes. “There was no date; I was actually still working at this dude’s house.”
“Then why did he? you began.
“Were you jealous?” he interrupted
You paused, caught off guard by Joel's interruption. The question hung in the air, heavy with implications. Your heart raced as you considered how to respond, unsure whether to admit the truth or deflect his inquiry.
"I... I don't know," you finally admitted, your voice barely above a whisper.
“Would it be bad? I mean, would it be that bad for me to have a date?” he teased, smirking at you.
Joel's teasing tone caught you off guard, and you felt a range of emotions rushing up inside you. Part of you wanted to dismiss his inquiry with a casual reply, while another part wanted to express how sensitive you are and hurt.
"Maybe" you said, your voice tinged with sorrow.
Joel's humorous tone faded when he understood the importance of his words. He reached out and gently grabbed your hand, and you automatically retreated, feeling a flash of weakness and uneasiness. His gaze shifted, and his eyes showed fear.
"I think that it's better if I go to stay at my parents' house." You said, a lump developing in your throat as you battled to hold back your tears.
"I think it's better if I go to stay at my parents' house." You announced, a lump growing in your throat as you tried to hold back tears. "I just... I need some space right now," you explained, your voice trembling with passion. "I need time to think about my feelings and figure things out."
He chuckled gently. "I think you're being dramatic." Joel's giggle broke the tension, leaving you taken aback and irritated. The lump in your throat became bigger as tears welled up in your eyes, and your heart ached from the burden of his words.
"You don't understand," you exclaimed, your voice shaking with emotion.
"Then make me!" he exclaimed. "I thought you were going to be happier without him, but it seems like you're just a gosht."
"Oh my god, I'm sorry for being sad over the fact that the man I was married to for the last years of my life built another family behind my back as if I were nothing!"
"Dwight doesn't deserve you; he never did," Joel said.
As Joel's remarks hung in the air, a tight silence fell over the room, interrupted only by the sound of your heavy breathing. His attempts to lighten the situation had only deepened the wound in your heart, leaving you feeling even more alone and misunderstood than before.
The tears that had been threatening to spill over finally let loose, running down your cheeks in silent streams as you battled to control yourself. Joel's words were like a punch in the face, a burning reminder of the treason and heartache you'd experienced at Dwight's hands.
"Oh, and who deserves me then?" You said, "Tell me; I want to know."
Joel just stated, "Someone better,” deep down knowing it was him.
"Like you?" you questioned.
"You can trust me," he reassured.
"No, I can't because I don't know you!" you stated.
"I'm the same Joel you met," he said back, trying to stop the storm from coming between you both.
"The one who became a ghost or broke my heart? Which one?" you demanded, tears welling up in your eyes.
"Look, I understand you are afraid of things, but if you think I'm going to say I wish I could get back in time and regret having my daughter for one second, you're crazy." He merely pointed out,
You chuckled as tears flowed down your cheeks. You tried to wipe them away, attempting to remain calm as you stared at Joel, hoping for some form of understanding.
"I never wanted you to regret having Sarah," you replied quietly, your voice tinged with sadness. “I know she's the best thing that ever happened to you.”
Joel's face softened in reaction to your words, with an instant of guilt running through his eyes as he saw the pain on your face. He reached out carefully, his hand gliding in the air between you as a silent gesture of comfort and understanding.
As Joel's palm finally touched yours, a sense of warmth and connection poured over you, spanning the gap that had threatened to separate you. In that moment, you sensed a glimmer of joy and a fresh belief in the possibilities of mending and healing.
"I know," Joel said quietly, his voice full of honesty. "And I am grateful for her every day. But that doesn't change how I feel about you or us. He paused. "Actually, there's something I need to confess."
"What do you mean?" you inquired, your tone barely above a whisper.
Joel took a long breath, his gaze never leaving yours as he began speaking. "Do you remember those nights I was working late? I wasn't only working, Doe. I was saving money."
Confusion flared in your eyes as you attempted to process his words. "Save money? For what?"
"For a ring," Joel said, his voice full of remorse and vulnerability. "I was planning to propose to you."
The air in your lungs became still as Joel's words sank in. Joel had kept this secret from you all these years, while you were struggling with self-esteem issues.
Tears welled in your eyes. "Did you buy before I left that night we broke?" you whispered, your voice thick with emotion.
He nodded. "I wanted everything to be perfect," Joel confessed, his eyes filled with grief. "But then... things got complicated." "And I thought... I thought I had lost my chance with you."
"But you let me go," you stated, sounding weak due to the weight of your words, heavy with the distress of the past.
Joel's face softened, and his eyes reflected the grief that filled his heart. "I know, and I'll always regret that," he said, his voice tinged with sadness.
His eyebrows seemed to furrow with remorse as he took a look at your intense stare. "I was a coward," he confessed, his voice barely above a whisper. "I let my fear control me, and in doing so, I lost the most important thing I had in my life."
The vulnerability in Joel's admission resonated with the ache in your own heart. For years, you had carried the weight of his absence, wondering what could have been if only he had been brave enough to fight for you.
"I should have fought for us," Joel continued, his gaze locked with yours. "But I was too afraid of losing you, so I let you slip away."
“I need space, Joel,” you said. “And I deserve to be loved, so I’m not going to follow you or anybody else unless you show me that.”
Joel's shoulders sagged with the weight of your words, his eyes reflecting a mixture of regret and understanding. "I understand," he whispered, his voice heavy with remorse. "You deserve to be loved, and I've failed you in that regard."
As you spoke, a sense of clarity washed over you, a realization that you owed it to yourself to prioritize your own healing and well-being. You had spent too long waiting for someone else to validate your worth, and now you were ready to take control your choices.
"I won't ask you to follow me," Joel replied, his tone filled with resignation. "But I hope that someday I can show you the love and respect you deserve."
Tumblr media
As you walked downstairs, the weight of your decision weighed heavily on your shoulders. Each step seemed like a bitter reminder of the past and an uncertain future. But with every stride, you felt a fresh resolution grow within you—a drive to reclaim control of your own life.
When you reached the bottom of the steps, you paused to collect your thoughts before heading toward the door. The sound of your footsteps echoed in the still room, providing an abrupt contrast to the turbulent emotions racing within you.
However, as you reached for the doorknob, a voice stopped you in your tracks.
"Doe, wait."
You turned to see Joel standing in the doorway, his expression full of anguish.
You turned to see Joel standing in the doorway, his expression full of anguish. His eyes pleaded with you, silently begging for the opportunity to set things right.
"I need to go," you replied, just above a whisper. "I cannot stay here, Joel."
Joel took a step closer, his eyes never leaving yours. "I understand," he replied, his voice tinged with regret. "You need space, but I have to tell you this before."
You hesitated, divided between the urge to leave and the need to hear Joel's words. With a disturbed heart, you nodded, quietly encouraging him to speak.
"I made a mistake that night," Joel said, his voice shaking with emotion. "I should've fought for you, Doe. I should have told you how much you meant to me instead of letting you leave."
You broke down in tears when you heard Joel's confession. For years, you had felt the weight of his absence, wondering if things could have turned out differently if he had been brave enough to fight for you.
"I'm sorry," Joel said quietly, his voice barely audible. "I'm so sorry for letting you go." He breathed in. "So that's why I'm doing this now."
“What?” you asked.
You furrowed your brow, attempting to make sense of his captivating comment. Before you could utter another word, Joel closed the distance between you, his movements swift yet gentle.
In an instant, his lips touched yours in a delicate kiss—a muttered plea for forgiveness and a promise of reconciliation. The world around you appeared to fade away as the warmth of his touch embraced you, washing away the layers of doubt and uncertainty that had tortured your heart for so long.
Joel knew words weren’t enough for you right now, and this swift action was the only way he found to pour and show all the love and promises he couldn’t save those years, being sealed in this very right moment.
Not letting you go this time was his first attempt to bring you back and offer you the life and love you deserved.
For a little moment, time stood still, and all that mattered was what you shared with Joel—a bond that transcended through the years.
Joel pulled away, his gaze fixed on yours, looking for any sign of recognition. His breath merged with yours, stealing what he believed was his. A silent exchange of emotions spoke volumes without the use of words.
"I can't let you go," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "Not again, please stay with me," he pleaded, holding your face with his hands.
Joel's words lingered heavily in the air, echoing his desperation and need. You noticed a genuine desperation in his request, one that mirrored your own. You had ached for reassurance of his love for so long, and now as he stood before you, baring his soul, you couldn't resist the pull of your heart toward him.
"I don't want to leave," you said, just above a whisper. "But I need to know that this time is different, Joel. I need to know if you are willing to fight for us."
Joel nodded; his eyes full of purpose. "I am," he declared, his voice filled with passion. "I'll do whatever it takes to make things right between us, to prove to you that you're the one I want, now and always."
Tears welled up in your eyes as you met Joel's soulful gaze and noticed the depth of his love and honesty reflected in you. You lifted your hand while taking in the warmth of his face under your fingertips.
Feeling the warmth of Joel's touch under your fingertips, you took a deep breath, trying to steady the whirlwind of emotions swirling within you. Despite the overwhelming rush of love and longing, you knew that you needed time to process everything that had happened—to settle the chaos in your heart and mind.
"I need time," you admitted, your voice trembling slightly with emotion. "Time to process everything that's happened, time to heal, and time to figure out what I want."
Joel's expression softened, and his gaze filled with understanding. "I understand," he said softly, his voice a soothing balm to your frazzled nerves. "Take all the time you need, baby. I'll be here waiting for you, I promise.”

hiii >< I see you're still taking request so maybe can you write about how könig would confort his insecure s/o? not just about her weight but also her ability to do things? like "oh no I'm not good and pretty enough"
I'm going through a hard time right now so it'd help a lot T.T
(also can I slide into your dm? I want to make friend and talk about könig but I'm scared you might be uncomfortable)
Okay so thank you so so much for this ask? It genuinely warms my heart. I had an idea of writing a prompt for König comforting an insecure reader, but I didn’t really know how to start. This really helped! I do not know if I perfectly got what you wanted, but I hope it’s okay? Sometimes I am not very good at interpreting others, I admit. Also, my dms are always open (and I especially like making new friends in this community). I hope to hear from you soon, and I hope you like this story!
So, just under 2.1k words, all soft and sweet. Total fluff. TW for insecurities and self hatred, but it gets talked over. Story below the cut.
Faker
König sat on your bed behind you, watching you with patient eyes. You’d just come home from an outing, and though you had put on an act for others, he could see how it had worn on you. He knew that you couldn’t do it forever, but he didn’t blame you in the slightest. Nobody could do what you tried to do.
You looked in the mirror, staring with blank eyes at your persecutor.
These hands, they made so many mistakes… These lips have uttered so many lies… These eyes have seen truth and beauty and joy, but now they see nothing but a hollow shell. Who is this empty vessel that stands before you? Did you ever really know who they were?
König stands up and steps forward, gently resting his hands on your shoulders, on the vessel’s shoulders.
“What do you see?” König asked softly, taking one hand to brush away tears you had not noticed.
“I see…” you paused, “Myself.”
König rested his head over you, watching you with his ice blue eyes. They looked at you, tried to hold your gaze, but the cold was too much for you to bear.
“Do you?” he whispered.
You blinked, taking a moment to sniff and recompose your dignity. Tears welled up further, but you held to them tightly, refusing to let them drop. But unfortunately, you are no God, you can defy no calling such as this. Emotions control your very being, and so you cry.
“I don’t know,” you admitted.
König let you cry. It would be cruel to stop you at this point. You tried to fight back, doing your best to build your sandcastle against the ocean, but with every hiccup you suppressed and every sniff you held back, the waves would wash over you again. And eventually, you gave up. You followed the siren’s song and drowned in your sorrows.
“I hate myself,” you finally were able to say.
König pressed a kiss to your temple and dropped his chin to your shoulder, “Why?”
“I… I don’t have enough time to go into all the reasons,” your voice cracked and warbled like a strangled seabird.
“I have time,” König replied.
“I don’t,” you said, your tone cold as the ice that he held in his eyes.
König nodded and wrapped his hands over your shoulders.
“You do not have to explain if you do not want to,” he said, his words like down on your ears, “sometimes, words are not enough.”
“It feels like they’re never enough,” you closed your eyes, unable to endure his watchful eyes any longer.
“When are they ever?” König hummed, “english is not a good language to express yourself, anyways.”
“Is it easier in German?” you asked hopefully.
You could feel König shaking his head, “Nein.”
You sniffled and opened your eyes again. You hated what you saw. You hated the kindness in his cold blue eyes. You hated the hollowness in your warm body more. Ice and fire, freezing and burning. What would be the best way to die? In your own selfish inferno, or would you let the ice of your lover’s touch shock you to reality? Or would that make you numb, too? Was it better to be numb because you had killed your cells through burning yourself alive, or through ice turning your boiling blood into nothing but a muddy sludge through your veins?
“I don’t want to be like this,” you could see yourself frown more than feel it.
“You do not have to be,” König reminded you.
“I don’t know how to change,” you replied dryly.
“Do you have to change to learn to love who you are?” König asked, taking a moment to brush his cheek over yours, water lapping over a sandy beach, “or is there something here worthy of love?”
“I don’t think so,” you muttered and turned to hide your face into his putrid mask, right where you belonged.
“Do you not think you are worthy of love as you are?” he asked.
“Why would I be?” you scrunched your eyes tight, tight enough to hear the water washing through you.
König carefully pried your face away from his mask, kindly not commenting on the mucus you’d left behind. Instead, he gently turned your chin to look back into the mirror. You groaned as he did so and tried to turn back, but such gentle hands became firm as ice.
“Maybe you should try to look at what is worth loving?” he whispered, “just try.”
“What is there to love?” you cried.
“So much,” he told you, “so much.”
You opened your eyes to see yourself. What you saw was worse than before. Red-rimmed eyes, runny nose, flushing skin. You really were a mess, weren’t you? You looked like you’d been drowned and then revived, cursed to walk the earth once more.
König cut off your spiraling thoughts with a piercing, “When I look in this mirror, I see someone who has been hurt for too long.”
“Nobody hurt me,” you protest meekly.
“You did,” his words gored into you like ice picks, “maybe, someone a long time ago said something to you. Maybe you made a mistake and it never left you. I do not know. I do know that whatever led you to think that you are nothing worth loving is wrong. It is not what you are. You are more than the past.”
“How would you know that?” you scoffed meanly.
König shrugged.
“Maybe because I know what it feels like to look in a mirror and see something I do not like.”
You turned and looked at him briefly before he redirected your gaze to the mirror, the ice in his eyes thawing with fear and insecurities you saw within yourself.
“I ask myself, what is there to love? How could anyone care about me? Surely, nobody loves me,” he said, “but I am wrong. There are people who care, they just do not say it out loud. Maybe it is because they are scared.”
“Scared of what?” you asked.
“Scared of being… Ah, what is the word… Scared of being vulnerable, I think,” König shrugged half heartedly, “but I think that vulnerability is how we grow. You cannot be strong by hurting yourself. Strength does not come from nothingness.”
“But you’re so strong,” you sniffled.
“I am strong because I saw my weakness, and I saw something lovable inside. So I worked to make what was lovable more important than what was not,” König replied, “I was afraid, small, and vulnerable. But by being vulnerable, I learned I could grow.”
“So then what does that mean for me?” you asked.
“I think it means that it is okay to hurt, but you can’t let that hurt define how you see yourself,” König hummed.
“What do you mean?” you asked timidly.
“I think that it is easy to think only of weakness. However, there is more to that weakness. I think sometimes, we need to be weak to be strong. You might be weak now,” König lay his head against yours, “and I think you can become strong.”
“As strong as you?” you tried to say playfully, but it came out grating like a gull’s cry.
“You do not need to be as strong as me,” you could see his face soften behind his mask, “you need to be strong enough for yourself. You cannot let anyone else define strength for you.”
“Do I need to be strong to be loved?” you thought aloud.
“Nein,” König’s voice hardened, then softened when he continued, “love is strength itself. To love and to be loved is to be strong. To love yourself is the strongest thing you can do.”
You pursed your lips into a line. Finally, you asked, “So do you love yourself?”
König’s eyes crinkled at the corners, “Sometimes. Sometimes it is hard. Do you not think so?”
You frown, “I don’t know. I haven’t loved myself too much lately.”
“I think you must find something to love in yourself,” König replied, “but that might take searching. You cannot let someone else tell you what is worth loving. I know it is hard, but once you find something, hold onto it. And keep holding on.”
“How can you be so sure that there’s something I can love?” you asked.
“There is always something. Even the blackest hearts can love the soot that coats them,” König mused.
You looked at yourself. You frowned, and then locked your eyes on his.
“What if I can’t find something to love?” you asked nervously.
“Then you must do the hardest thing of all,” König furrowed his brows, “you must fake it. You must tell yourself you love something, even if you do not believe it.”
You scoffed, “But why? That’s so stupid.”
“It is in the beginning,” König admitted, “but it is not stupid always. It gets better, but you have to do it every day. That is the hardest part, you know? Doing it every day. But if you keep doing it, it gets better.”
You look at yourself. Your eyes are not so red, your breathing has steadied. You look a bit better, but you don’t quite know if the word ‘better’ is the word you’d choose.
“So, if I have to lie to myself, what should I lie about?” you ask.
“Well, if it helps, whenever I see myself in a mirror, I smile at myself,” König says, “but I do not always feel it inside. But I keep doing it. I want to get to a point where I can smile in a mirror, and I can feel myself smiling back.”
“How did you decide that?” you asked.
“Everyone likes a good smile, ja?” König chuckled, “so why not have a nice smile? I think your smile is very pretty, ja, but do you?”
You cast your eyes down, looking into the deep abyss of your feet, then replied, “I don’t know.”
“Then maybe that is a place to start. Tell yourself that you have a pretty smile.”
“It sounds so stupid though,” you snort.
“It does sound stupid! But that is why you must do it. And anyways, is it not nice to smile? A smile is a powerful thing,” König smiled under his mask, “it is a tool. You need to care for your tools. So love your smile. It is, if nothing else, a good place to start.”
“And if I trick myself into loving my smile?” you laugh.
“Then find something else to love,” König determined, “there is always more to love, especially with you.”
“You really think there’s always more to love in me?” you shook your head in disbelief.
“I do not think,” König said sternly, “I know. There is a very important difference between those words. You should remember that.”
“Well, I believe you’re being stupid,” you snort.
“Believe what you want, but I will still have my beliefs. And my belief is that you have so much to love,” König wrapped his arms around you in a reassuring hug, “I see so much to love, so much I want to show you about yourself. You are so wonderful. Yet you cannot see that? I do not understand, but I think you think that there is something worth loving in me. And if you can see something worth loving in others, why should there not be something worth loving in you?”
“I don’t know,”  you admitted.
“I think it is silly to say everyone deserves love and then remove yourself from your own statement,” König ducked his head down, “and if nothing else, let me find something in you to love. If nobody else will say it, then let me say that you have so much in you that is worthy of love. All of you is worthy of love. You may not think so, but I love you regardless of whatever you think you are.”
“Even when I do things you don’t like?” you cup his head in one hand.
“Especially when you do things I do not like,” König affirmed, “because to love all of you I must love your flaws. To love someone conditionally like that is to not love at all. So I love all parts of you, regardless of what you may think of those.”
“You’re being too nice,” you dismiss him gently.
“I think ‘too nice’ is not real,” König retorted, “I think that is a stupid thing people say to avoid feeling. I am not afraid of my feelings, and so I am proud to say I love you for you. I just hope that one day, you can love yourself like I love you.”
“You really think I can do that?” you ask.
“I do not think, I believe.

Courtesy was one of the qualities shared between Prince Jacaerys and you, both externally honored with the suitors presented during Prince Aemond's engagement, but dissatisfied under the kind and grateful banner. In comparison, perhaps your case was worse than the heir of Rhaenyra Targaryen, since your lord father was basically accepting any agreement by your hand, not caring about a suitable age group of the other gentlemen. It was terrifying to sustain a false smile while feeling totally humiliated at that table, so, requesting permission to have some air before another gentleman introduces himself, you were released from your obligations to pick up one of the delights arranged on the desserts table.
So, you saw from afar a lord bearing a silver and blue coat, old enough to be your grandfather presenting himself to your father. For the seven!
Your legs were agile when you sneaked quickly trying to hide, taking advantage of the fact that some tables were empty and the attention was on the dance between the betrotheds (a surprise to see the one-eyed prince being a dancer peculiarly... bold), you hid with a slice of cake under a distant table graced by a black towel that covered it from end to end.
On the other side of the hall, Jacaerys Velaryon enchanted ladies of all ages with his charm and education, a true prince beyond the title. He was aware of his duties and knew that he needed to get married soon and have heirs, and he also couldn’t deny that a part of him was satisfied with the attention received, it was reassuring, in fact, to know that the rumors about his paternity weren’t a hindrance for the butterflies to approach. But at that moment he just needed to rest his lips after kissing so many hands in a short time. And then, approaching the dessert table, he heard a distant sneeze. Strange, there was no one in the direction of the noise. Seconds were spent looking carefully in the same direction, until another sneeze intrigued him sharply and made him go to the source of the noise. It couldn't be...
“My lady? What's going on?" He asked as he stared at your wide eyes.
"My prince!" Your exclamation was low, although scared. "Don't tell anyone, please!"
Jace quickly looked around so as not to draw attention. "Why are you hiding? Did something happen?"
"I cannot say."
"Why?"
"I cannot say! Just... leave me here." You retreated further into the table.
Amazed by the nature of the situation, the prince imitated your condition and infiltrated under the table, to your surprise and horror. "My prince, you don't have to," you whispered.
He felt he needed it, all of a sudden. "Did anyone hurt you, my lady?"
"No, no one hurt me.” Not physically, but you felt hurt and emotionally disgusted.
"Then why are you hiding? I can try to solve it, if you allow me to-"
"It's nothing, my prince, you don't have to worry," you replied, making an upset pout.
He copied your pout, looking at you carefully. Clearly questioning in the traditional way would not work, so Jace opted for a different approach.
"I'm sorry, I didn't want to pressure you. We have not yet been properly introduced, Prince Jacaerys Velaryon,” he raised his hand towards you, “honored to meet you.”
You couldn't believe that Princess Rhaenyra's son was formally introducing himself under a table because of you, seven hells, what a scandal! You presentation yourseld in a low voice, uncertain and worried about what was happening because of your.
"I don't think this is appropriate, my prince, you shouldn't be in this situation," he added.
"Neither do you, my lady, but here we are," he said, "and I would really like to know what happened to make you be here and I don't intend to leave here until I understand.
Oh dear.
"Nothing happened, it's just... my lord father and my lady mother are looking for a betrothed for me, and I just wanted some time to stretch my legs," you started, "and, a lord approached our table just now... an older lord, much older than me, and I panicked."
His mouth opened subtly. "Well... uh... I believe that your father wouldn’t accept, if that is the intention, a marriage between the two of you," he said uncertainly, seeking to reassure you with what he thought was plausible.
“My father would change me for a herd of goats, if I were favorable,” you replied bitterly, looking down.
The confusion and shock were even more evident on Velaryon's beautiful face when he heard that words. Such a fate seemed too horrifying, however, common for some ladies, unfortunately.
"My lady, I..." he stuttered a little, "I'm sorry, I don't know what to say."
"I know, it's okay."
Your weak voice denounced the opposite. Although it had been prepared for the situation, the choice of suitors had not been satisfactory, especially the last one. This was a situation that Jacaerys would not need to go through, since his mother was more flexible about it, however, it did not stop him from helping a lady as adorable as you.
"I have an idea. What if I showed up in your company? Maybe it could be a temporary distraction to your father."
Temporary, well-used term.
“It can work at the moment,” you said, maybe you can save time to find a better suitor. "Maybe... if you, my prince, could grant me a dance, so he can see."
"Well, I should have made that invitation, forgive me for being so slow," he joked, "but yes, I would be able to dance with you, my lady."
He smiled sweetly; soft brown eyes shining towards him, oh, how beautiful and kind he was! A real delight!
You replicated Prince Velaryon's smile and waited for him while analyzing the movement to leave the table without being noticed, however, at the same moment that Jace lifted the towel, Prince Lucerys widened his expressive eyes with the image.
“It's not what you're thinking,” Jacaerys seriously warned him. The heir of Driftmark quietly nodded in confusion, looking at the rest of the hall. "Are there many people close?" Jace whispered.
“No,” Luke imitated his brother's tone, watching him come out from under the table.
You wanted to sink on the ground with the astonished look of young Velaryon on your shrunken figure below waiting for the endorsement of Prince Jacaerys to leave.
"Don't tell that to anyone," he said to dear Lucerys, "let's go, my lady," he raises his arm to lead you to the salon, "where is your lotf father?" He whispered.
"A little further to the right, my prince."
Without looking directly at your family and the old lord who presented himself as a suitor to your hand, you positioned yourself in the hall together with the prince, receiving attentive looks from some ladies, the royal family and your own family. So far neither of you has chosen partners for a dance, so the whole situation was seen as suggestive for Rhaenyra Targaryen and a real dream for your mother, who didn’t bother to hide the surprise when contemplating the scene. "It's Prince Jacaerys!" She murmured to your father, who only expanded his eyes in interest, to the misfortune of the old lord.
“Call me Jace,” he smiled toothlessly at you, making your body tingle in response.
"You honor me, my- Jace, thank you for doing this."
"You're welcome, my lady.”
When the music started, another dragon danced happily with a butterfly that would come to be known as his future betrothed.

It appears not only are you truthful while inhibited but also sleepy. Larissa almost felt mean moving your sleeping form away from the roaring fire and into her spare bedroom, typically used for students who are struggling, before moving to ready herself for the night. Unbeknownst to you, Larissa actually found Leonora quite stunning. And if she was on the market for a brat to tame? Leonora would’ve fit. But she wanted a sweet little thing, to spoil and dote on. You fit the bill perfectly and to see you hurt by nothing more than an untrained mutt broke her heart. Larissa could definitely teach the stubborn woman a thing or two about respect. Together, you’d both put her plan in motion, after all you’d be so good for Larissa that she wouldn’t even need to try and convince you to trust her.
And she was right. “Rissa turn lights off” you grumbled seeking out the last scraps of darkness you could find as the principal opened the curtains. “But sweet girl, I have a plan to get you everything your pretty self desires. Mommy is going to fix your problem love, so up we get and we can get started sweetheart”. For a few seconds you thought you’d misheard, what did you desire? How drunk did you get last night? All it took was a small shift to sit up and the stinging on your behind had memories forcing their way back to the front of your mind. The club, Leonora, being in Larissa’s space and overly emotional. Oh gosh you’d told the older woman about how you feel. The inner debate of wanting both women but knowing you shouldn’t, yep. You’d spilled everything to her.
“I uh Rissa” you started, brain spiralling into all the ways you could explain a complex situation to someone so goddess like, “please don’t hate me.” Those four little words broke the shifters heart more than you’d ever know. “Oh sweet girl, I could never!” You felt a gentle hand wiping the tears you hadn’t realised were falling. “How about we get some breakfast and we can talk sweetheart? I think it’s time we put all our cards on the table, wouldn’t you agree?”
Another piece of information about you that Larissa adored was how easygoing you are, breakfast went down a treat, her heart swelling every time you thanked and complimented her. But now as you both moved to her desk, you immediately started to shake. The rhythmic thump of your toes tapping the floor as your leg bounced. Your shoulders seem to curl into your body and Larissa noted that you couldn’t maintain the same eye contact you had minutes ago. “Sweetheart, you know I very much wish to become your dominant?” She murmured gently not wanting to spoke you but also needing to start the dialogue which would prevent you being in an anxious state any longer than necessary.
Nodding in acceptance of her statement you let out a little hum which she took as encouragement to continue. “Well sweetling, I’ve always been an open person and I’d be lying if i said I don’t see the attraction to Leonora. While I’m wasn’t looking for a brat, I certainly can deal with them. And you my darling are my good girl aren’t you?” Her words coated in dominance had you slipping into the submissive role instantly. “Yes mommy” you whispered still not quite understanding what the blonde wanted to convey.
“Good girl” oh dear god you were dead. Definitely. Those two words ringing like heavenly bells in your ears, pulling a whimper from your throat involuntarily. “Oh, aren’t you just so precious pretty girl? Poor baby has a little praise kink” she teased evidently enjoying the blush painting your cheeks, no need for any real answer, it seems she can read you like a book. “Okay pretty dove, both of us our interested in Leonora, so you be a good girl for mommy and continue like normal, mommy will talk to Leo for us. But rest assured my love, aftercare will be always given no matter what, Leonora can’t leave my sweet girl like she did yesterday.” Her reassurance causing some of your anxiety to dissipate, leaving you still sat wanting to be closer to the woman. “If you want something dear, you’re going to need to ask mommy” she warned in a teasing manner, eyes sparking with adoration as you stuttered through asking to come and sit on her lap. “You’ve done so many times in less clothing darling, come here before you have to leave for work.”
You spent all Saturday afternoon with Larissa in Nevermore which you immensely enjoyed, just talking and getting to know what each other wanted from this dynamic, likes and dislikes to anything your minds came up with. Leaving for the club was a new kind of sadness, only made better by the blondes promise to arrive at Sinful Souls later on in the night to pick you up.
True to her word Larissa would be there to greet you after your shift at the club, but naturally she had business to attend to before seeing you. A brat to tame. That’s why the blonde shifted her appearance to get through the crowd and demand to see the owner. From there she was led into the back room where her office was. “What can I do for-“ she murmured not even bothering to look up from the paperwork she was clearly bored with. “Y/n…”
“You” the raven haired woman snarled at the principal, moving to approach the principal only to be stopped short. “I suggest Leonora, you sit down before I make you kneel down. This is my time to speak. You will listen” she demanded shifting her stance to appear taller. Truthfully Larissa Weems dripped an unmatched amount of dominance into everything she does. Something she takes pride in. “Yes teacher” was all that was quipped back, Larissa immediately stepping forward to force the other woman on her knees. “Listen up brat, this is how it’s going to go” she stated, kicking off her heels before circling the younger woman.
“You want my little dove out there? Yet you treated her so poorly last night. I can’t be having that. She deserves all the love and care in the world. I can provide that. You however are nothing more than a mongrel in comparison. Yet for some reason my girl wants you too” the blonde couldn’t help but roll her eyes at the glare coming from the clubs owner, “and well, I guess I can see the attraction. See with the right hand to guide you I’m sure you’d be a beautiful puppy for your owner. Dove isn’t capable of handling you brat. But I am so enjoy the taster of what could be in store for you. Red stops this all Lesso, let’s get started” she clapped her hands before promptly turning on her heel to walk over to the sofa.
Shock, anger and arousal was all Leonora could feel. She obeyed the older woman, truthfully she didn’t want to hurt you, guilt was eating her up so she likes to reason that’s why she submitted to the older woman. “Crawl here mutt” she murmured, beautiful cyan eyes darkening with every second her gaze was on Lesso. “Fuck you” she grumbled before going to stand up yet a firm hand immediately forced her back down. “What the fuck are you doing you bitch” she bit as the pressure continued to hold her in place. “Oh what a stupid mutt you are, not going to go down easily hmm? I do love a challenge. Again. Crawl. Here. Now.” Repeating every word slowly as she moved back to where she was, it was times like this shifting had its perks, helping her get to the other woman as quickly as possible.
As if crawling to the other woman wasn’t humiliating enough, being manhandled over her lap certainly was. Lesso was known for her tough personality and physical strength which made this act even more embarrassing. “Remember you can stop this, but a stupid stray like you needs to trained before they get to play with my toys. Thanks to my girl out there I know what you want Leo, so you’re gonna take it, all this fight doesn’t belong here.” She murmured before immediately yanking Lesso’s impossibly tight jeans from her behind, exposing her pale round globes. “These need colour” Larissa murmured thoughtfully, watching as the woman in her lap squirmed slightly in anticipation.
To Leonora’s credit, she took her 20 spanks without even creating a sound, it was the last ten that broke her down. “All done pup, now are you going to be good for me? Or shall I take you out there in front of everyone?” Larissa threatened with a knowing smile, “oh we like that do we? You want everyone to see what a pathetic mutt you are?” Teasing Leonora is definitely something Larissa is going to enjoy, she can only hope this plan works, remembering how good it felt to tame a brat. “No please” lesso whimpered causing Larissa to yank the woman up and Settle her on her thigh, “fuck yourself on my thigh like a good little slut and I’ll consider it.”
Instantly following the command the younger woman rolled her hips eagerly the other woman’s thigh, god she was desperate, the moans now falling freely from her parted lips, desperate pants of breath the only clue she was getting close to the paradise she craved. And she would’ve got there too, if Larissa didn’t wrap her strong arms around her and held her still. “Oh you aren’t coming, dumb mutt, you don’t deserve it, off now” she demanded and immediately noted that her thigh was drenched as the air hit it. “Messy girl” she tutted as lesso bowed her head in shame.
Moving to the desk was probably one of her best ideas, rolling her dress up to her hips, slipping off her ruby red underwear and spreading her legs. “Eat mutt” was all she gave the other woman before yanking her head close to her soaked core again noticing the whimper of pleasurable pain. On her knees, eating out the blonde was clearly something both parties enjoyed as Larissa climbed the hill to her peak, Lesso falling deeper into her submissive side, drunk on the taste of her pussy. “Less teeth slut” Larissa growled out just before lesso flattened her tongue and pushed the principal over the edge. Plunging her tongue in and out of her quivering hole at an almost inhuman pace to bring the woman back down from her high.
Tugging Leonora up but her tight curls the shifter tossed her over the desk like she was nothing more than a rag doll, thanking the gods for her extra strength. Using her foot to kick the woman’s legs open before thrusting a finger into her sopping sex and instantly falling into a fast pace of deep strokes, “such a needy puppy, you just needed a good fucking hmm?” To say the raven haired woman didn’t struggle would be a lie but it turns out a good four orgasms can make someone incredibly plaint. “No more fuck mommy god fucking hell!” She borderline squealed as her fifth orgasm washed over her In brutal waves. Her core now insanely sensitive, red puffy and leaking all over the floor. She barely noticed Larissa grabbing a marker off her desk and scribbling “mommys mutt” in her fancy penmanship.
After ensuring Leonora was cared for adequately, water and helped to redress was all she could help with until Lesso snapped at her and told her to fuck off. “Think about it puppy, because me and y/n are In agreement, you could have all this and more” Larissa murmured before leaving to find you just finishing up your last dance of the night.

I Will Remember You.
! pairing- date!jungwon x date!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
! synopsis- after y/n is unable to find a partner while searching through many dating apps, she finally finds a guy on a unique dating app called "I Hear You." he intrigues her with the simple message of, "Can I take you on a date?" and the overflowing chemistry forms at a jazz restaurant.

The narrow restaurant feeling smaller than it usually did, I silently waited for my date to arrive. Similarly, the restaurant also waited alongside as the waiters elegantly placed dishes; the musicians playing in the small, corner entrance of the restaurant.
After not being successful with my previous dating sites, I crossed an app called “I Hear You” that allowed musicians to gather together. Within ten minutes of customizing my bio, my dms were filled with requests.
Although everyone intrigued me, to be quite frank, amazed by the app itself, but one dm caught my eye. It wasn’t a cliché pick-up line or a dumb conversation starter. It was quite simple, “Hi. I love your interest in music. Can I take you on a date?” I couldn’t help, but feel excited about such a simple question. Knowing how modern dating sites had worked: taking at least 10 minutes to text back, ghosting others, and playing the push and pull game, I wanted to grab onto this one.
“Hi. Are you y/n?” It was him.
“Yes,” I said, getting up from my seat to give him a side hug. I could smell his cologne, an aromatic yet clean scent; his fluffy hair swaying perfectly.
“I normally arrive faster than my dates. This is the first time someone else has arrived first,” he chuckled as you both took your seats.
“Oh, this is just a normal thing for me,” I laughed it away.
He just nodded for a moment, as if he was observing my every move.
"My name is Jungwon by the way- Yang Jungwon." He introduced him. His smile lines barely showed while he smiled, suggesting that he was a rather serious man.
"Nice to meet you. My name is Y/N." I introduced myself.
"You seem quite bubbly," he said.
I couldn't help but smile at his comment, feeling both good and a bit scared. Is this a good or bad thing? I thought to myself. His strong attraction suddenly pulled me to change for this mysterious man. Did he like calmer girls? Did he like louder girls? All these questions swarmed in my head.
"I like that," his brown chocolate eyes stared at me with sincerity.
I couldn't help but to blush at him.
"Thank you," I said shyly, unable to meet his eyes back.
"I think I've seen you around campus before."
Oh, so that's where I've seen him. I thought to myself.
"You go to ---- University?" I asked.
"Yes, I do. I'm currently studying to produce and I just thought the dating app could help me meet people that were also taking it," he explained. However, it made me a bit disappointed to know that he wasn't really contacting me as a suggestive partner, but as a colleague.
"That's cool. You said dates earlier. How many friends have you made on this app?" I seriously wanted to know if he was packed with a group of girls now, knowing how good looking he was, all the girls probably wanted him.
"Not a lot to be honest. I've only dmed guys to be friends until now," he said, smiling at me.
Hello?? What does that mean??? I felt confused and flustered at his confession.
"How come?" I poked him more.
“‘Your page fits a lot of my interests.’ is what someone would say. But I dmed you because I thought you were pretty. You're my ideal type," he said, rubbing the back of his neck now.
"Oh!" I exclaimed out loud, taken aback at both the fact that he was so straight forward, but also embarrassed of my loud remark.
He chuckled at my reaction, also making me laugh with him as well. As the conversations continued to flow throughout the night with the busy restaurant dimming quieter as the hours passed, Jungwon offered to give me a ride home.
"Are you sure?" I asked. No guy had ever given me a ride home after a date. What the heck. Where did all my standards go for men??
"Yeah. It's a given. Come on," he said, opening the passenger door for me. His dark black car, clearly showing how he liked things rather neat all showed his personality.
"Thank you," I said, finally taking his offer.
I couldn't feel happy at this small moment, the silence in the hard and the pace of how fast my heart was pacing. I wanted this moment to last forever.
"We're here." I said, realizing we were in front of my apartment complex now. I unbuckled my seatbelt, making sure to take my purse as well.
"Hey, by the way," Jungwon said, softly grabbing my arm from further moving.
"Would you like to go on a second date with me next week?"
How could I say no to that good looking face with such a great personality, I thought to myself.
"Of course. We can pick the location and time together." I could feel my face beaming.
"No. No. I will pick the location and time," he ensured, patting my arm.
"Okay. We can do that," I answered naturally, as if I was an obedient dog that he had just trained. With just one date, I had known that I had fallen for his charismatic charm.

could you do something where ronaldo is your ex and you broke up because he cheated but he saw you with another man at a party and he got really jealous??
Cold Air
Tumblr media
Word Count: ~2.2k
A/N: I hope you enjoy! Sorry this took so long and sorry if any descriptions of Qatar are inaccurate. Just suspend reality for a bit :)) (also, I proof-read this, but it hasn’t had a second pair of eyes look at it)
Tumblr media
The city lights passed by your car as you made your way to the club. The World Cup was in full swing and, today, Portugal had beaten Switzerland by five goals. You wrinkled your nose. Portugal. As good of a team they were, any mention of their team, and especially a certain player, left a foul taste on your tongue.
It wasn't like you didn't love Ronaldo. You did.., well, you had loved him at one point. Months ago you had been positive your relationship was going to last forever; you were living together, you went with him to his events, and you were even certain you had spied an engagement ring in his bag once. All of that was squashed within seconds thanks to Ronaldo’s unlocked phone and a few Instagram DMs.
Within days, you had moved out of your shared house and into an apartment far away from Manchester. Ronaldo agreed to pay the first year of your rent in return for you not going public about his infidelity, but you took the high road. You did not need his help and, after what he did to you, you decided that you did not want to have any connection to him any longer. Enough was enough.
But here you were, in Qatar, the day his team beat the Swiss.
Your phone vibrated and you dug it out of your purse.
I'll have to leave a little early tonight, Emi texted you.
What? Why?
Coach wants us to get at least eight hours of sleep before some extra practice in the morning. He explained, I'm free to do whatever you want tomorrow night.
You groaned and slumped back into the car seat. Great. Just great. The only reason you were going to this club was to celebrate Emi’s friend’s birthday, whom you had never met. In fact, you hardly knew anybody on his team. You had spent so much time with Portugal and Manchester United that you hadn’t become acquainted with any of the other teams. Besides, you had only been seeing Emi for a couple of months.
“Is this it?” your driver asked.
“Yes, this is it,” you sighed. The cold night air raised goosebumps on your skin as soon as you pushed open the door. It was refreshing and briefly distracted your mind from the awkwardness awaiting you inside.
The bouncer opened the rope as you approached. The club’s exterior was lit by LED lights, beckoning people to venture inside. Quite a crowd had amounted outside, drawn by the possibility of seeing a world-class futball player in person. They watched you as you entered the building. Who were you? And why were you here?
The interior of the bar was as exuberant and bright as the exterior. The only difference was the number of people crammed within its walls. Bodies were pressed against each other, moving to the music blaring from the speakers. Two bartenders were hurriedly making drinks for the growing crowd. They had been instructed to prioritize the futball players and serve them first, but they were struggling to keep up with that demand.
You scanned the throngs of people. One or two of the men close to you looked familiar, but the lights were set just dim enough that you couldn’t distinguish people from a distance. Their forms blended into one, swaying mass.
Person after person bumped and shoved you (whether on accident or on purpose, you couldn’t tell) as you forged your way to the bar. Surely, there were too many people in the club to be safe, but nobody paid attention. They were all having fun. You were the walking embodiment of dread.
You tugged on the end of your dress. It wasn’t yours–one of the players’ girlfriends had lent it to you–and it wasn’t exactly your taste either. The color was off and it fell awkwardly on your thighs. Anyone who knew you would know the dress was not your first choice.
“Excuse me?” you asked the bartender closest to you, “Can I get one of those?”
The mixture of alcohol he was making was taking all of his attention, and he made no effort to respond. You groaned, leaned against the bartop, and began people-watching. There was no sight of Ronaldo or Emi. You weren’t expecting Ronaldo to be there, but you could never be too sure.
“Y/N!” a familiar voice called from behind you.
You turned around and smiled, “Emi!”
He pushed his way through the crowd, nodding and grinning at his friends. You recognized none of them, despite going to many of Emi’s games. Maybe you were too stuck in the past.
Once he reached you, Emi grabbed your waist and pulled you towards him.
“It’s so good to see you,” he said, leaning over slightly and began kissing your neck. Several people’s eyes landed on the two of you.
“Babe, please,” you whispered, “Not in public.”
He stepped back, “Why not?”
“I just don’t feel comfortable with it, ok?” you replied. To be honest, you had no idea why it made you so uneasy. People looking at you was one thing, but something else was off.
Emi smirked and loosened his grip on your waist, “Fine. But I will be seeing you tomorrow night.”
“It’s a date,” you chuckled. He left you one more kiss on your lips as he started to back away. He smiled and nodded his head goodbye. Before you knew it, Emi had disappeared into the mass of people.
The bartender continued to pay attention to other patrons, leaving you drinkless and bored. There was a full-length mirror behind the back of the bar. You examined yourself in it, rubbing off the lipstick that had made its way off of your lips and adjusting your hair so it fell just right on your face. A figure began to form behind you. Someone was making their way to the spot to your left. The way the lights were positioned and flashing, you could not tell who it was.. that is, until they spoke.
He ordered two of your favorite drink and, like clockwork, the bartender had them finished within seconds.
“You look good,” he almost mumbled as he took the first sip from his drink. His eyes scanned your figure, soaking in every aspect of how the dress fell on your body. You could have slapped him, “Although, I wouldn’t peg you as the type of girl to wear something like that.”
“What do you want, Ronaldo?” you spat. His face changed for a moment at the use of his last name instead of Cristiano–what you used to call him–but, within seconds, it was back to his usual, sly look. On the other hand, you could feel your face turning red. Months of pent-up rage and regret flooded back into your head. Why had you come here? Why did he have to be here?
“You haven’t changed a bit,” he said as you picked up your drink. You slammed it back down on the counter. A little sloshed over the edge and the bartender immediately wiped it with his towel. He scowled at you but smiled at Ronaldo. You pushed the glass to the farthest point on the bar that you could reach. You refused to drink it. That would make it seem like you were diving in.
“I asked you what you wanted,” you seethed, arms crossed across your chest, “Can you answer my question?”
He rolled his eyes and looked around as if you were the only person in the room who did not know what he was going to say. He then leaned closer, “You could do much better than an Argentinian. That’s all I wanted to say.”
You froze. Your mouth hung agape, your mind was apparently empty of any good comebacks. After a moment you managed a “Are you kidding me?” and a small, all-too-exaggerated laugh. The audacity this man had. He cheated on you, not the other way around.
“Do you think I’m joking? I’m just stating the obvious, darling,” Ronaldo smirked. He leaned against the bar, drink in hand. Triumph was written all over his face.
You pulled out twenty dollars from your purse and slammed it onto the bar to cover your drink. You stood up straight, staring your adversary in the eyes.
“I’m done with your bullshit, Ronaldo. Do I need to remind you whose fault it was that we broke up? It wasn’t me!,” you shouted just loud enough so the people closest to you could hear, “Have a good life.”
You stormed past him, purposely bumping into his shoulder on the way to the back. Your feet carried you past the mob of bodies. Instead of annoying you, they acted to your benefit, creating an almost impenetrable sea for Ronaldo to cross to get to you. You made it to the back exit swiftly and, without hesitating, escaped the room.
The chilly air greeted you like an old friend. Your dress was hardly enough to keep you warm, but it didn’t matter. Compared to the inside of the bar and its patrons, it felt more friendly and calm in the frigid night.
You pulled out your phone and started searching for an Uber to take you home. You began walking down the alleyway, enveloped in the screen in front of you rather than paying attention to your surroundings. That was why you nearly jumped out of your skin when you felt a cold hand grab a hold of your arm.
You whipped around and tried to strike the attacker with your bag but, after a moment, you saw that it was none other than Ronaldo. Despite recognizing him, you still managed to hit him with your purse. You ripped your arm from his grasp and backed up. You weren’t truly scared of him, not at all, but he repulsed you so much that you wanted to distance yourself from him as much as you possibly could.
“What the hell are you doing?!” you exclaimed.
“Y/N, listen to m–”
“No, tell me what you think you’re doing!”
“I don’t know what I–” he stuttered, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly and shifting his weight.
“You don’t know what you’re do–”
“Y/N, would you just listen to me, please?!” Ronaldo finally begged. He stood with his arms extended to you, silently pleading with you to let him speak, “Please?”
You checked your phone and then crossed your arms, “You have two minutes, Ronaldo, then I never want to see you again.”
“That’s fine, that’s perfect,” he took a step back. He looked at the sky as he took a deep breath. The stars were shining down on the two of you, illuminating the alleyway just enough that you could see Ronaldo’s breath and the sweat dripping down his face. What was bothering him so much?
He sighed, exasperated with his own thoughts, “Y/N, I.. you know I love you right?”
You did not reply, nod, or shake your head. You kept your eyes glued on him but, on the inside, your stomach was turning. This conversation could lead nowhere good. In the months since your break-up, you had thought about getting back together plenty of times. Yet, in reality, you could never let yourself do that. He cheated on you once. He had broken your trust. That could not happen again.
“I know you do. And I know, I hope, that deep down you still love me,” Ronaldo continued, trying to get any reaction out of you, but none came, “I will never love another woman as much as I love you. You were the light of my life, the thing that made me smile every single day without fail. You enchant me, Y/N,  and I went and screwed everything up. Will you forgive me?”
You scoffed, your arms only crossing tighter in front of your chest, “Don’t give me this ‘I love you most ardently’-esque crap. You cheated on me, Ronaldo. I have proof!”
“And I regret it every day! Y/N, you don’t understand how much I’ve beat myself up over this. I love you! You make me happy!”
“Ronaldo, if I really made you happy, frankly, we would not be in this situation right now,” you said, pursing your lips. You shrugged, “I am sorry, but I can’t forgive you.”
With that, a grey sedan drove to the end of the alleyway behind you. You checked the description on your phone–it was your ride.
“That’s me,” you said. The amount of water vapor in front of Ronaldo’s mouth only increased as he grew angrier and more confused. His mind was running, trying to find some solution to have you back, or to get you to at least forgive him, but he could not find one.
“Can you at least call me Cristiano?” he finally called out as you started to walk away.
You turned around. After a moment, you nodded, and made eye contact with him once more, “Alright, Cristiano. As I said earlier, I hope you have a good life.”

You Can’t Escape Love
A Messy PipWen AU
Ch1 Chapter 2
Pip blushed as the small girl shook her hand, her cool fingers a surprise touch in the rising heat of the summer morning. She was always bumping into people when she took the dog out for a walk as despite her strength she gained from gym and swimming he could pull her over far too easily.
Wednesday was a very intense looking woman in pretty much every single way. Her black clothes stood out a mile in the pretty English village, residents more used to seeing floral dresses or colourful yoga leggings rather than the black jeans, DMs and oversized chunky hoody that Wednesday decided to wear that day.
Similarly her hair was as black as night, the long twin braids immaculately woven into what Pip was sure was hangman’s noose loops at their ends. Weird, different for sure, but in a surprisingly good way.
The most intense part of her was reserved for the girl herself, which would have been just as striking had she worn a pink dress. Her huge deep brown eyes seemed to bore directly into Pips soul, but the uneasy feeling this should have given Pip was thankfully easily offset by Wednesday’s beautiful freckles and dark, plush lips. There was no denying that she was beyond beautiful, so much so that Pip felt something she hadn’t ever before. It almost made her stomach turn the impact Wednesday had on her, she just wanted to pull her in close and, well, she didn’t know what else. It was like the feeling Cara had given her when she came out to Pip, but much stronger.
Wednesday was very different from Cara in another very important detail - she was short.
Very short.
Pip was the smallest out of her close knit friend group but Wednesday was another couple of inches shorter again. This didn’t seem to have any effect on her physical presence though, Pip thinking that this was not a girl to be crossed easily.
That didn’t mean she couldn’t be friendly.
“Lovely to meet you Wednesday and sorry again. I haven't seen you before are - hang on, are you the new owner of the Manor House?”
“I am.”
“That’s cool, errrr, you out for a walk?”
“I need coffee.”
Damn this girl is hard to talk to thought Pip. But maybe there was an opportunity.
“Why don’t I take you to get some from our own coffee shop, The Flicked Bean? We can get to know each other!” she asked, trying not to be too excited.
Wednesday appeared to blink - not something Pip would normally notice, but it suddenly occurred to her that Wednesday hadn’t blinked yet. That would explain the intense look in her eyes at least.
“I have not been to that establishment yet. It would be agreeable.”
“Ok let’s go then, come on, follow me!”
She grabbed Wednesday’s hand and pulled her off down the pavement. It wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do with her friends - she always held Cara’s hand, but as she looked at Wednesday she found the sullen girl to be looking down at their joined hands with a puzzled look on her face.
“Ooh sorry!” Pip blurted out, letting go immediately “force of habit there!”
Wednesday murmured something Pip couldn’t hear over the cars driving by and then immediately took Pip’s hand in her own again, giving it a reassuring squeeze.
“I am not averse to hand holding, in fact I have……missed it since I moved here.”
“That’s cool - how long have you been here now?”
“There months, four days and eighteen hours.” Wednesday replied flatly.
“Very precise. I like that. Your voice…. Sorry accent is really nice by the way. What part of the USA are you from?”
“New Jersey but my family descend from all over the world. Your accent is…… very charming.”
Pip felt another blush spread over her cheeks at Wednesdays compliment, the sudden warmth in the smaller girls voice unexpected.
“Thanks, it’s just me you know.”
At that moment they reached the cafe and Pip held the door open for Wednesday, who stepped inside and took a deep breath at the aromas swirling round the small establishment.
The cafe was empty, not surprising given the early hour of the day. Wednesday could immediately tell the coffee would be good from the distinct smell as she entered the door, opened for her very kindly by Pip. As Pip walked past her Wednesday caught a faint hint of her scent. It was……fresh. Very different from Enid, it made her think of outdoor line dried clothes and handmade soap.
A fresh start indeed…..
She gave her order to the barista and asked Pip what she would like.
“Just a cappuccino please - I’ll get it if you want.”
“That won’t be necessary. This is to say thankyou for recommending this establishment to me.”
“Oh ok, thanks Wednesday.”
Pip seemed nervous, but didn’t fidget and pace like Enid, instead she had a ‘rabbit caught in the headlights’ look about her. Her face was so still and patient, but even Wednesday could tell she needed to make some conversation before the whole situation became too awkward.
“So, what should I know about the people our age here?” she enquired, assuming Pip was the same age as her.
“Our age?” Pip asked, clearly confused “aren’t you older than me?”
“I am eighteen years of age.” Wednesday replied as she took the drinks and walked over to the darkest corner to sit in.
“Eighteen? Me too!” Pip replied, but then confusion moved across her face again. “How come you could buy such a big house at your age?”
“I earn my own money, easily enough on its own to buy a house here, although my father is better with real estate matters and brokered the deal on my behalf.”
Wednesday settled down into the corner seat, Pip sitting across from her, her elbows on the table leaning forward to speak to her.
“Wow, that’s amazing, what do you do?”
“I am a writer.”
Wednesday didn’t want to reveal which books she had published straight away but the excited look on Pip’s face meant she had made the necessary connection immediately. There was no escaping it, her books had been most popular in the UK out of any country and anyone who had been even near a bookshop would have read her name across a cover in the best seller section - her works had been at the top of those charts for nearly a year now.
“Hang on - are you THE Wednesday Addams? The Viper De La Muerte series?”
“Yes.”
“Oh wow, I love your books. Normally I’m into real crime books but yours are really good. Maybe a little gruesome in places but your writing is amazing.”
“That is kind of you to say. I don’t tend to meet my readers very often, I try to stay away from public events.”
“Is that why you moved here?”
“Partly, I needed somewhere to recover after….. recent events. I also wanted to find out more about the Andie Bell case which I understand was solved a few months ago by a young girl in the area. It is fascinating and I am wanting to know more.”
Wednesday noticed Pip looking down at her coffee as she finished speaking. Enid had taught her to recognise people’s emotions and react to them in a kind way, and what she had said had clearly hit a raw nerve.
“Have I misspoken? I apologise for any upset my words have caused you.”
Pip took a while to respond, Wednesday waiting patiently for her to lift those piercing blue eyes to meet her own again. When Pip did so, Wednesday could see she was upset, and almost ready to shed a tear.
“I-It was me who solved it.” Pip replied shakily, her voice quiet and timid. “But it was pretty hard on me, emotionally and….other ways.”
Wednesday pondered this. She could easily relate to this considering the Tyler problem she dealt with, which left her physically and mentally scarred for life. She decided she would try to show how they were both having to deal with post trauma stress by turning her palm over to show Pip.
“Pip, look at this.”
The ugly scar on her palm was still very much visible, the knife wound and burn marks from the crypt still rough and slightly red. Pip immediately took her hand - very gently - and stroked Wednesday's hand around the scar, being careful not to touch it directly. Her skin was warm and soft, and Wednesday did not recoil from her touch as she had eventually done with Enid.
“Oh my goodness Wednesday, that looks really awful, is it painful?l
“Only on cold days now, but it is still a reminder of what happened at the end of my own investigation. I paid the price for my search for the truth, but I don’t regret it. It came with more sacrifices than I ever expected, but it was the right thing to do. Would you say the same about your trials Pip?”
Pip looked deep into Wednesday's deep brown - nearly black eyes - and almost saw a reflection of herself. Wednesday was feeling so much and clearly struggled to come to terms with what had happened to her, just like her own personal journey.
She didn’t know if Wednesday wanted to talk about what had happened to her, but she could ask about another aspect of her trauma she suspected would be a shared experience.
“Yes, I don’t regret it, but I didn’t realise the devastating effect it would have on my life later on. The worst thing was that no-one understood how I felt, and I lost a few people as friends who just didn’t get it. I was forced to break from seeing them ‘cos it was too painful to hear their fake attempts at empathy. I’d seen too much, too young and I couldn’t cope, and they didn’t want to see that. I suppose I don’t blame them, they couldn’t ever know and I wouldn’t want them to really, but the pain of separation is still raw.”
Wednesday turned her hand over and lightly held Pip’s hand in hers. It was still cool to the touch but there was so much tenderness in the moment she barely noticed it. If anything it relaxed Pip, and she let out a long breath she didn’t know she was holding.
“Pip, I know.” Wednesday whispered as she squeezed Pip’s hand. A small smile developed on her, revealing small dimples and stretching those pillowy lips a little thinner. Somehow three words and that smile from Wednesday made her forget the trauma, and think of what might be, what happiness could feel like again. She placed her other hand on top of Wednesday and reflected the smile back without thinking about it.
“Thanks Wednesday. That means so much, you’ll never know how much.”
“Maybe you can show me another time Pip.”
“Maybe I will Miss Addams, as long as you are nothing like Viper I’m up for it.”
Wednesday grinned in delight, squeezing Pip’s hand again.
“Well you’ll just have to come to my place and find out, won’t you? Can I cook you dinner tomorrow night?”
“It’s a date!” Pip joked without thinking about what she was saying.
“Slow down Romeo, it’s just dinner.” Wednesday quipped.
Pip chuckled, and to her surprise so did Wednesday. They shared a knowing look between them just as the barista collected their empty cups.
Maybe her birthday wouldn’t be so bad after all.

[3:30am kst, 231217, wc: 620] [cw: jonghyun (read at your own discretion)]
(from c: i miss jonghyun loads. words can't explain. he has been one of my longest running role models, and i just really wish he's happy and at peace making music for all the angels and stars up there with our moon)
Tumblr media
Yoonmi never felt lonelier.
Her members, her brothers, her constants were all in the military, and she had restricted access to communication with them. In fact, she wouldn’t be able to contact four of them for a few weeks at all. Her siblings by blood and on paper were both busy, and her boyfriend just arrived in the country and was probably tired.
She sighed to herself as she looked over to her photowall, a floor to ceiling section filled almost completely with photos, one catching her attention in particular.
Sitting up gently to keep from startling her pets, she approached one specific photo. One of her and someone she used to always go to for advice or comfort when she couldn’t ask her members.
“Hey, Rajah,” she looked at her kitten, “there’s someone I want you to meet.”
The small kitten just looked at her curiously, patiently letting her owner pick her up. After getting her kitten in a sweater and herself in sweatpants and a coat, Yoonmi grabbed her helmet and the body harness for her pets and made for her motorcycle.
The drive was cold.
There was no other way to describe it. It was the middle of December, the beginning of winter, but she didn’t care. Those thirty minutes she spent driving to him would always be worth it.
She silently greeted the security guard, one she grew familiar with over the years, and handed him a pack of brownies as she placed her helmet on her motorcycle. She knew the security guard would guard it like he always did. After a deep breath, Yoonmi walked past the gates.
It was a minute walk before she reached her destination, the person she wanted to see. With a smile, she sat down across from him and gave him a smile.
“Jonghyun oppa,” she bowed her head to his resting place in respect, “I feel like I’ve been bothering you too often, but you know you’re one of my safe people.”
She gently lay a brownie piece on her handkerchief and placed it by him. “I know I’m a day earlier than you probably expected, but I brought brownies! Though I will have to take this piece back when I leave. I don’t really want to litter.”
A laugh escaped her lips as she gently began to unfasten the harness around her torso. Small mewls filled the air as Rajah was shaken out of her comfortable position.
“Oppa,” she showed off the kitten, “this is my new baby, Rajah. Rajah, that’s Uncle Jonghyun. Isn’t she cute, oppa? Jimin oppa got her for me so I wouldn’t be too lonely over their enlistment period.”
She sighed as she set Rajah down, watching as the cat curled up just under Jonghyun’s name. “I made it through the SHINee oppas and their military service, but this is different, you know? I’ve had the oppas with me almost every day for the past thirteen years, and now all seven of them are going to be away for so long.”
“I guess I feel lonely.” A sad smile made its way to her face. “Especially because everyone’s so busy… I know you are, too, but you’re right here with me, right?”
Something, she didn’t know what (or maybe she did), prompted her to look up. Right in her field of view, a star shone brighter than the others. Maybe she deluded herself into thinking it had a slight pearlescent aqua hue.
“Thank you,” she smiled back at him, petting Rajah slightly and taking out a small paper slower she had made from her backpack and placing it next to his name. “I miss you lots, Jonghyun oppa. I hope you’re happy up there.”

Seasons of Love
Tumblr media
(Gif credit to @youmustlovehim)
Word count: 2,772
Genres: strangers to lovers to exes, a little bittersweet
Warnings: none
A/N: I’ve had pieces of details of this fic in mind for a while and I started to slowly write it out over the past few months. This title comes from Seasons of Love from the musical RENT, although there’s nothing in the story connects to specific details from that. The story is not based off of anything specific, just a plot that had been simmering in me for some time. It’s not set at a specific moment in time (It’s taking place in a fictional future but you could also say that it’s set this season. However, the season is still ongoing at the moment and anything can happen or change). It’s written with a female reader in mind because I’m a female of color but the reader doesn’t specifically have to be a POC or a woman and there’s little dialogue. As always, I’m open to any and all feedback, comments or questions; just put them in my inbox or dm me. Thank you so much in advance for reading, I appreciate it😌
(P.S. I have other stories (linked here) that I have written for other players as well if you want to check it out)
““How do you measure a year in the life? How about love?” -Seasons of Love from the RENT musical soundtrack
Prologue
“Excuse me, is this a good book to read?” a deep accented voice asks you.
“Dune? For sure, it’s an epic story,” you reply.
“Do you think I could finish it in 4 days?” the voice asks.
“4 days? Unless you’re an Olympian at reading and processing complex storylines, I’d say it might take you close to 4 weeks or even 4 months to read it all,” you respond.
“Oh,” the voice says in defeat, “what do you recommend then?”
You list off some sci-fi recs for the towering cute man and he takes your suggestions into mind before deciding to get a copy of We, a novel written by his fellow countryman Yevgeny Zamyatin.
“I’ve never read that one,” you chimed.
“Should we start a book club then so you can read it?” the voice asks with a chuckle.
“Um, how can I start a book club with someone whose name I don’t even know?”
Slightly embarrassed, the voice introduces himself as Andrei and you introduce yourself to him as you shake hands. His hand in yours felt so comforting for someone you just met under an hour ago. Andrei was impressed that you knew so much about books. One of his New Year’s resolutions was to read more so that’s how he ended up at Barnes and Noble talking to you. You were at the store, just looking around for something new to read, and stumbled into the sci-fi section before checking out with your new copy of Happy Place by Emily Henry.
“So are we starting this book club then, Andrei?” you slyly ask.
Andrei wanted to have someone as a reading buddy to discuss reading with him (the other guys on the team weren’t as into reading as him) and it didn’t hurt that he had someone who knew a lot about literature right in front of him so he agreed to it.
“As long as you read “We” with me, please?” Andrei charmingly requested.
Although sci-fi wasn’t your thing at the moment, you couldn’t quite say no to the man with big brown doe eyes so you grabbed a copy off the shelf. Before going over the parameters of the newly formed book club, Andrei kindly paid for both of your books and you decided to discuss the rules in the cafe located inside of the store.
You and Andrei sat in a semi-secluded booth towards the back of the cafe and began sharing some of your backstories with each other over drinks and muffins. Andrei was again impressed by your educational background of holding an MFA in Creative Writing from NC State and your job as an adjunct English professor at Wake Tech Community College; it definitely explained your love of reading but your dream was to move to New York and become an author one day. You were working on a manuscript for a cute romance novel but still had a lot of things to do before it was ready to be presented to a publisher. The professor job was just a placeholder until you finished up your manuscript and saved up enough money to get a literary agent; you loved writing as much as you loved reading but getting your foot in the door in the writing industry was rough. You listened to Andrei as he told his story about his life and how he ended up in America through his hockey career. You and Andrei were both curious about each other and asked so many questions to each other for such a long time that you didn’t even notice that the store was going to close. Neither of you wanted your time together to end but you both had lives to get to outside of the store. You both laughed when you realized that you and Andrei spent so much time getting to know each other that not once throughout your conversation did you discuss the rules of the book club. Before leaving, you and Andrei exchanged numbers. You both agreed to read the first 50 pages and scheduled to meet up at a different cafe to discuss what you read so far in two weeks.
————————————————————
Winter
Within a year, the book club didn’t last long but it did lead to you and Andrei being in constant contact with each other. Due to both of your schedules, neither of you really had the time to sit down and have deep intellectual discussions about what you read; you both did end up finishing reading We but you finished it at different paces. Being the book lover you are, you completed the book first but Andrei finished reading the book while on the road and he wanted to discuss the ending with you so bad that he surprisingly FaceTime called you. That one FaceTime call with Andrei turned into a long series of texts, phone calls, and more FaceTime calls and eventually spending time together offline. You and Andrei considered each other to be just friends but that friendship eventually turned into you falling for each other.
Andrei was a hot commodity around Raleigh and in Russia with his DMs bursting at the seams but he only had eyes for you. He had never fallen in love with someone the way that he did for you; being with you was different than what he was used to but it worked in the best way. You knew the risks and chaos of being with a busy, famous athlete but Andrei was worth all of it. You blended and adjusted well into the hockey romantic partner lifestyle and Andrei even taught you how to ice skate. Despite the busyness of your lives, you and Andrei still showed up for and made time for each other, even if it was something as small as meeting up at your place for a post-afternoon game milkshake from The Shiny Diner or as big as taking Andrei as your date to your work holiday party. Whenever you had the time, you and Andrei created fun, everlasting memories together. A somewhat sweet memory that Andrei would always remember was when on one cold evening, you wanted to surprise your Russian boyfriend by attempting to make him borscht, a traditional Eastern European soup that was his favorite comfort food. The soup did not come well at all so you and Andrei ended up ordering Panera Bread to warm your bones. Although the soup you made tasted unpleasant, Andrei appreciated the fact that you took the time and effort to learn something from his culture and did that from your heart. The poetic thing about your relationship was that you patiently understood each other, despite the language and culture barrier; your relationship just worked like two puzzle pieces clicking together into place.
————————————————————
Spring
As the flowers bloomed around Raleigh, the school year for you ended on a good note and unsurprisingly, the Canes made playoffs. Deep into your manuscript writing, Andrei surprised you with a trip to New York after the Canes were eliminated from playoffs. You and Andrei were already spending the entire off-season together so this trip wasn’t a necessity but it was a nice thing to do.
Your time in New York was amazing and full of love, fun, and plenty of delicious food. While you were in the City, you took the opportunity to meet with some potential literary agents and publishers; although your manuscript was about 90 percent done, it didn’t hurt to check those things out. Andrei was supportive of you and your dreams but he selfishly wished that those dreams didn’t include moving to New York and that you would stay in Raleigh and have a life with him there. He had already known his future was tightly connected to the City of Oaks but you had a desire to create a future somewhere else. You knew these dreams of yours could possibly involve leaving the love of your life; neither of you tried not to dwell too hard on the stress and pressure that those dreams added to your relationship. You also knew the publishing industry was cutthroat and competitive and that there was no guarantee that your book would be picked up by a top publisher but those realities didn’t stop you from at least trying to take the steps towards that dream.
Outside of this pressure, you and Andrei still made the best of your time in NYC. You also loved musical theater so of course, you had to catch a Broadway show. Andrei, being the amazing boyfriend that he is, actually secured tickets for the two of you to see Hamilton at the Richard Rogers Theater. You had watched the live stage production on Disney+ and knew the entire soundtrack; Andrei went into the show blindly, only remembering bits and pieces from the songs that you played around him. Seeing Hamilton live on Broadway was a great experience that you both enjoyed. You and Andrei got to see New York City in a different light; you got to explore more of the city that you longed to call home and Andrei got to see more of the city as a true tourist. This entire trip was something that you both would forever cherish.
————————————————————
Summer
Not long after you left New York, you went to Russia for the first time to meet and spend time with his family and friends and to see the place that made Andrei into the man that you love. You learned more about Russian culture, Andrei’s childhood, and even was a guest at his cousin’s wedding. Andrei’s friends and family approved of you as a person and they liked you with him; they could all tell how truly in love you were with each other. You also spent some time together in Turkey and around Europe for some much-needed relaxation; you got to see the beautiful blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea in Greece, eat authentic handmade pasta in Italy, and kiss your lover in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Traveling around with Andrei made you feel like you were the protagonist of a great summer read. Speaking of reading, Andrei still maintained his goal of reading more books, reading just about anything and everything, and even started to recommend things for you to read. Before you would fall asleep at night, you would share with each other a fact or synopsis of something that you read that day.
While Andrei was occupied with his off-season training during the day, you applied for publishing jobs, presented your finally completed manuscript to several literary agents, and ended up securing one. It was relieving to officially have a literary agent to represent you but the next biggest hurdle was the painstaking editing process and waiting for your work to be picked up by the right publisher.
————————————————————
Fall
After the bliss of the off-season ended, it was time for the hustle and bustle of your teaching job and hockey season to return. About 2 weeks before preseason started, you and Andrei moved in together. It was exciting to get to live with your lover and spend even more time (whenever you could) with him. It was also nice that you got to add your style to the place and make it your own; having a home also meant that you could host your friends, Andrei’s teammates, and sometimes family for holidays and events and create more cherished memories together. Being a hopeless romantic who loved romance novels, you had always wondered who would be the man to sweep you off your feet but you sort of already knew that man was Andrei.
A fun memory that you made together was the Sunday before the season opener, you and Andrei took a trip to a local corn maze with a pumpkin patch to take cute couple photos together and to also check it out. These photos would be added into some of the new picture frames and a scrapbook of memories in your shared home. The photographer did an excellent job, capturing the love that flowed between you in still moments. For the rest of your time, you wandered around the corn maze, hand-in-hand, with your lovely boyfriend. The infamous oak trees in Raleigh began to shed their leaves and the year began inching closer and closer towards the end.
————————————————————
Winter part 2
One snowy morning, you got an email from McGraw Hill, offering you a job as an educational copy editor in their NYC office. You couldn’t believe it, you were on the path of working at a publisher and hopefully, one day getting your book published; all that you had been working so hard for was starting to pay off in tremendous ways. The only issue that was concerning you was breaking the news to Andrei. You knew he would be happy for you but you also knew what the next steps were. You tried to hold in your tears but after practice, Andrei came home to you crying. He immediately dropped his stuff and concerningly asked you what was wrong. You explained to Andrei that you were crying joyfully over the news you received. Words couldn’t describe how proud Andrei was for you so he picked you up and spun you around in happiness.
“I’m so proud of you, my love,” Andrei repeated as he peppered kisses around your face.
He was truly proud of you but the ecstasy of the good news came with the most painful come down. Andrei didn’t want you to move to New York but he had already known for a while that you wanted to leave. He did try to convince you to stay and he hoped for months that you would change your mind but you didn’t so he helped you pack some of your things. Andrei couldn’t help you move up there so he entrusted Nykki, Martin Necas’ girlfriend, to help you settle into your new home and life, more than 500 miles away from the address you once shared.
You and Andrei did try dating long distance but your relationship unfortunately didn’t last very long. Between the responsibilities of your new job, revising over your manuscript, trying to get your book published somewhere, and Andrei’s hectic hockey schedule, you began to drift apart from each other and the physical distance between you didn’t help either. You enjoyed living in New York and you did miss each other from time to time but Andrei knew it would be unfair to ask you to give up on your dreams to come back to Raleigh and be with him. Despite not dating anymore, you and Andrei talked occasionally but not as frequently as it was when you first met and still remained friends. It was okay that the relationship had run its course because it taught you both a lot about love. Andrei came into your life for a season and those seasons you shared together were full of so much undeniable light and love. The love that you shared was different from the romance novels you read but your relationship wrote its own beautiful story.
————————————————————
Epilogue
Before catching his flight to Miami for the NHL All-Star break, Andrei went into the bookstore at Raleigh-Durham International Airport to look for a book to read on his flight. In the book section, he spotted Seasons of Love, written by you with a New York Times Bestseller sticker on the cover. Over the years, Andrei had heard some things about your novel in passing but he purposely avoided reading the book because the breakup was a bit painful for him. After you achieved getting your book published, you wanted to send Andrei a signed copy but decided against it because you weren’t sure if he would actually read the story and didn’t want to come across as pretentious either. He debated back and forth about getting the book before finally asking a store employee about their opinion about it.
“I read that one. It’s a fictional story but I heard it’s loosely based on a true story about the author’s relationship with some cool guy. It’s a super good read if you like romance," said the store employee.
Hearing what the store employee said about your book made Andrei’s heart warm a little and he purchased it as his read for his trip. After returning back to Raleigh, conveniently, there was a book signing by a familiar author at a local Barnes and Noble that Andrei decided to attend. Although Andrei didn’t get his happy ending with you in real life, you sure gave him one with the words that you wrote on the page.

Minho was a chill kid from cabin 11. He wasn’t about all that “thievery and trickery” lifestyle. Of course, as a Hermes kid, he was skilled for both, but it didn’t mean he’d use them if he could help it.
You were a sweet and beautiful child of Demeter, like herself in many ways. Need a hand? You were there to help. Tending to the Strawberry fields and chatting with the nature spirits about gardening and agriculture in general were your favorite hobbies.
Back in your dad’s neighborhood, you had a best friend. You two shared everything— quite literally, since she could see through the Mist.
She passed her driver’s license test the day you went to camp, so she promised she’d let you know the results.
But only if you could find a way to contact her, because everybody knew phones were monster magnets.
A cabin mate had once said he saw Minho from the Hermes cabin successfully deliver messages in dreams for a friend of his from cabin 5.
It could be a long shot but you wanted to know how your best friend did.
Now, I know what you might ask—
“Why me and not any Hypnos kid? They’re specialized in sleep and dreams.”
Minho was arms crossed against his cabin’s wall, examining you with his cat-like eyes.
“I’ve been told you’re good at it and you’re way more focused than any of them. I don’t want to spend hours explaining something that could take minutes.”
He smirked. “You could’ve just told me you wanted to spend time with me, gorgeous.”
Cheeks burning, your eyes opened widely. “That’s not—”
“It’s okay. So, what do I get in exchange?”
Ah. You didn’t think this far.
“... A flower crown? Cookies?” You were genuinely searching for a fair trade when he bursted out laughing.
“You’re cute.”
“If you’re just gonna make fun of me, I’ll just go to Jeno, sorry—”
He straightened, suddenly serious. “No," he said loudly. He coughed, "I mean no, I’m sorry for laughing. I’ll do it. I’ll take the flower crown and the cookies, though.”
You smiled so sweetly, his heart hammered in his chest.
“Thank you.”
“Sure,” he coughed again, probably to hide his red ears this time.
You walked away a few steps then turned around. “When do you want to do it?”
“Tonight, if it’s okay for you.”
“Okay, see you soon!” You waved him goodbye and, as you jogged away, Minho couldn’t keep his eyes off you.
Deep down, he was thrilled to have you asking him for help. He had developed a tiny crush on you after seeing you using your magic in the fields on sunny days, your skin glowing with beauty. Or whenever you gracefully walked past him on your way to the dining pavilion or the combat arena.
He wanted to know more about you. That was the only reason he accepted your request, because he wouldn’t do it for anyone.
“I really thought you’d only do it for friends,” Changbin fake pouted, “or am I nothing to you?”
“Shut up, I did it because you begged, and you are my friend.”
“Oh… so that means that Demeter kid is someone to you. Got it,” he grinned before running away, avoiding his friend’s murderous hands by a centimeter.
“You better not tell a soul!” Minho yelled, before getting ready for his archery lesson.
After dinner, Minho followed you to the Demeter cabin.
“Everyone is at the bonfire, I thought it would be better if we were alone,” you said, sitting on your bed.
The gifts were placed on your bedside table and Minho was standing in front of you, a little uncomfortable.
“Are you okay?” you asked.
“Of course. Let’s do this.”
He made you lay down on your bed, walked to the front of it and placed his hands around your temples without touching you.
“Relax, think about your friend. I’m going to touch your head, you can tell me to stop at any time.”
“Alright, you can proceed.” After giving him a smile of encouragement, you closed your eyes and focused.
Minho quickly shook away his feelings and concentrated on the task at hand.
It lasted a few minutes, and you could see your best friend vividly like you were actually there with her.
Thanks to him, you got to talk to her, cheer for her when she said she aced the test and give her a hug.
When you finally opened your eyes, Minho was standing next to your bed, contemplating the flower crown you made for him. It was placed on the bedside table along with a batch of cookies.
“Everything went well?” he asked.
“Yes, thank you Minho,” you beamed. “Take it, it’s yours.”
He hesitated, so you got up, took it and put it delicately on his head, all the while his eyes were locked on yours.
“I thought you’d be more interested in the cookies. You look handsome with it,” you complimented, taking a step back to take in his appearance.
Doing his best to ignore the sensation in his chest at your words, he bit into a freshly baked cookie. “Honestly, you didn’t have to give me anything, I would’ve helped you either way. Hm, it’s good.”
“You literally asked for those,” you reminded him.
“You proposed, I accepted,” he countered, shrugging. “But if you insist, you can remind me of our earlier conversation while we walk on the beach together.”
“Are you asking me on a date, Lee Minho?” you smiled, biting on a cookie too.
He mirrored your expression. “Depends, will you say yes?”
“It’s indeed good. Yes, I’d love to talk some more.”
