Astarion x gn!Tav/Reader
(The other parts of this story are under the First BG3 Masterlist, or you can use the AO3 link to read it there)
This one is my problem child. I have no idea how to write for the other companions but I needed to have this as context for the companions learning about Tav's bg and yeah whatever I've got better stuff coming up. I am very very excited for future chapters >:)
Warnings: self-destructive coping mechanisms (scratching oneself), mentions of slavery, hints of a panic attack, mentions of emotional abuse, mentions of biting, possibly OOC companions

Everyone eyed you warily. You didn’t blame them. After you scrubbed your hands raw of the blood staining them, you provided no explanation. You’d basically sped in, Astarion trailing behind, and ran for a bucket of water. And stayed there. For hours. After the fact, you changed out the water, of course, but they weren’t concerned as much with the pink-tinted water as they were with the frantic nature you scraped the natural dye from your hands.
Astarion didn’t say anything either. A few of them had tried asking, but he smiled tersely and made an excuse that changed each time. “I was too distracted fighting a beast.” “You know how some people get with germs.” “They really hate the color red.” (This one was not said to Karlach, nor in her earshot.)
It all came to a head at dinner, when you’d still provided no explanation. Gale handed out servings silently, staring at you as though studying a new specimen. Lae’zel watched you like a predator trying to defend her territory, prepared for the moment the intruder stepped over the line. Shadowheart barely repressed her scowl.
Wyll set down his bowl pointedly. “Haven’t you kept your secrets hidden long enough?” You raise your eyes from your barely-touched stew. You didn’t quite see him. Your mind lingered on the image of the Gur. “Do you expect us to continue following blindly while we pour our souls out for you?”
You bristled. The image disappeared, tucked away to haunt you later. “No. No, I’m sorry.” You sighed and set your bowl aside. Everyone watched you expectantly, more interested in what you could say than filling their bellies. “It’s just… difficult to talk about.”
“Speak,” Lae’zel encourages roughly. “We will listen.”
Astarion frowns at you. He’s taken to sitting beside you for ‘dinner’. They knew by now he wasn’t suited to eating normal food, but he didn’t quite trust them not to stake him through the heart or cut his head off. It was safest to linger by your side. The irony of your trust in him was not lost on him: You understood him best and you feared him the most. That fear may have dampened over time, but you still flinched at the gleam of his fangs, watched him as he left camp to hunt at night. Yet you’d bared your soul to him and him alone. He couldn’t wrap his head around it.
You inhale, slow and shaky. Your hands fiddle in your lap, providing you some sort of distraction. It would not be enough to ground you to reality should the thoughts become too potent.
“I was… am,” you corrected unsurely, “a vampire’s thrall. She… uses me as a blood source. Has used me, for years. I’ve been stuck under her thumb since I was a teenager. It’s… easier to have one consistent source of food than to go out looking for it every night.
“When we were out in the woods,” you nod your head slightly toward Astarion, “there was a Gur. A monster hunter. A-And he said he was looking for a runaway.” Your breaths sharpen into quick, frightened little things. You nearly choke on them. You stare into the fire. Your nails start scratching at your hands. You don’t even realize you’re doing it. “He had nothing to go on, just a name, but I panicked and I- I killed him. I shouldn’t have. I know I shouldn’t have. I could have explained everything. I could have paid him off. I could have-”
“Steady on, soldier,” Karlach interrupts. You can’t look at her, can’t draw your eyes away from the flickering flames, but you know she looks worried. It always amazed you how openly she wore her emotions, despite it all. “Take a breath, okay?”
Your nails stop scratching in favor of digging into your skin. You take a breath, slowly let it out, and your nails ease off. You run your fingertips mindlessly over the indents left behind.
You whisper, unable to raise your voice any further. “He said my master is in Berdusk.”
Quiet. Gale spoke up, voicing the awful realization everyone had. “That’s only a few miles from Baldur’s Gate.”
You nod.
“You’re marchin’ right back to her.” Karlach sighs, heavy and empathetic.
You finally lift your eyes from the fire. Everyone’s attention is on you, pitying and remorseful. “I have no choice. I can’t abandon you all just to run away. Especially with these tadpoles. I have no doubts she’ll find me quickly once we reach the city.”
“We could confront her,” Wyll suggests. “Go to Berdusk, face her head on, free you!”
“It’s not some goblin camp we can just walk into and clear out,” you protest. The idea thrills you to no end, but you cannot allow yourself that hope. Not when there is none. You will be found. Tonight, the next, a week from now. You’ll be locked back into your servitude. There is no chance you have to be free. “Killing a vampire lord isn’t- It’s not just-”
Astarion speaks up. You don’t expect it; he’d been so quiet this whole time. “If we can kill Cazador, we can kill Kir Parthene.” Your stomach rolls around at the sound of her name. “What makes facing my master any different from yours?”
You know the answer. Even if you don’t realize it yet, you know.
You have no qualms threatening Cazador. You’ve even told Astarion that you plan to help him kill his master, once and for all. Free him and his ‘siblings’, and rid Baldur’s Gate of the nighttime threat to its people. No longer would they have to go out, lure victims in as food for the vampire lord. It was so easy to promise. If you could help everyone else, why should you leave Astarion to the same fate you faced after this quest? He should be as free as possible from the chains binding him.
So why couldn’t you let them swear the same for you? What made Kir Parthene so different from Cazador? She was not stationed in as large a city, she did not steal souls off the street every night just for a quick meal, she did not personally carve poetry into the flesh of those beneath her. She had power, but no more than Cazador held. So why were you so reluctant to even dream of your freedom?
You were afraid.
Astarion can see the very second you know the answer to his question. Your eyes open a fraction wider, filling with a bottomless dread. Your heart stutters and your breath catches. He’s sure you’re on the verge of tears as you inhale a trembling breath, trying to keep yourself from hyperventilating, even as your fear squeezes your lungs.
“You won’t have to face her alone.” You turn to look at Shadowheart. “You’ve given us the strength to face our demons. We can help you face yours.”
You want to believe her. Believe all of them as they nod in agreement. Believe they could give you the strength you lacked, support you when you come face-to-face with her once more.
But then you see the deep crimson of her eyes and lips. You feel her nails digging into your skin. The cooing affections that come just after the harsh vitriol. Her teeth digging deep into your neck. How can you have any hope of facing her?
You shake your head and push yourself to your feet so fast Astarion is startled. “I’m sorry. I can’t think about this right now.” You abandon your dinner. It sits, lonely and growing cold, as you step away from the warm glow of the fire and the safety of your companions into the edge of trees surrounding your camp. You don’t go far, just far enough you can’t hear them speaking and they can’t see you collapse against a tree, clutching and clawing at your hands to remove the memories from your mind.
At least they know now.

Worth The Wait | Daniel Ricciardo
english is not my first language word count: 1.4k words request: Hi! Could you write something with S20, S30 and F28 and Daniel? You are best friends with him but there is a lot of tension and finally you fuck each other and he half confess his feelings for you while doing so. S20 - "Going to fuck the word friend right out of your mouth." S30 - "If you don't like it, then we will move on." F28 - "Those things you said, did you mean them?" warnings: alcohol, smut, angst MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
It was the Austin Grand Prix and you finally got the chance to see your long-lost friend Daniel. You had known him for a long time now, and every now and then you would hang out with him. It mainly happened when he was in the States, but with your new job, you often would be out of the States when he would visit. “There she is!” Daniel exclaims as he sees you standing with a little sign mentioning the nickname you have had for him for as long as you can remember. He basically runs towards you and with one hand still holding the sign, you try your best to catch him as Daniel tries to jump into your arms. “Hasn’t changed a bit.” He adds as he ruffles your hair. You fix your hair as you playfully hit him. “I have missed you just as much.” You sarcastically say.
It felt good when you saw Daniel after all those months, but for the first time, you felt something different when you looked into his eyes. You have always said you could never fall in love with your best friends, so every feeling you have had for Daniel you always pushed aside. You have had to hear him talk about his other girlfriends for a while and the amount of fun they have brought him. It has made you upset many times in the past. Sometimes it was too much for you and you would leave the room. Daniel never really knew what it was all about until he heard you talk about your one-night stands and many dates. You would be going out with your friend group in a few hours. So you drove to this place your mutual friends had booked together just so that all of you could spend a little more time together before everyone went back to their busy lives. “I suppose this is your room..” You say as you walk past one of the many rooms in the house, “..and this is my room.” You point to the room across from Daniel’s, with your suitcase already half unpacked and clothes all over the floor. “I’m going to get changed. See you in a sec?” Daniel questioned. You nod your head and went to your room. You did some little touched up as you hear a few knocks on the door, although you had left it open. “I thought it was just us friends tonight?” Daniel teases you. He couldn’t help but admire your reflection in the mirror, but that was not the only thought rushing through his mind. You were bent perfectly towards the mirror, if he was only standing behind you. “Daniel?” You wave your hand a few times in front of his face, before you get his attention back. “Scott called us downstairs.” Daniel chuckles but stays frozen in his place. You take his arm and drag him downstairs with you.
Daniel was the one who introduced you to his group of friends, which now also have become your group of friends. At first, they all thought you two were love interests, but Daniel soon proved them all wrong when he brought his then-girlfriend to your friend group's annual Halloween party. It was then the first time you noticed you didn’t like the sight of Daniel with another girl. You also didn’t think you were the jealous type, but that same night you had found a victim of your jealous outburst. Even though Daniel was happy in his relationship at the time, he couldn’t stand to see you with that guy. He didn’t act up that night, but if the same thing would happen tonight, he would have ripped that guy off of you. “Everyone ready?” Scott questions, but without waiting for an answer from anyone, he pushes you all toward the door and into the taxi.
On your way to the club, you all played a little in-drinking game. It was Daniel’s turn, as he took the card from the stock, his eyes widen once he read the words. “What does it say?” Everyone exclaimed one by one. “Point to the person you would have sex with.” He reads out loud. If one didn’t want to answer the card, one would have to take a shot as punishment. Daniel didn’t look up once and asked for the bottle to take his shot. Just before he takes the shot, his eyes connect with yours. You can feel your throat tighten as you swallow and break eye contact. “We are here.” You exclaim as you can see the slightest bit of light from your favorite club. You all get out of the taxi, and without any hesitation make your way inside to the table you have reserved.
It is a little later in the night and you are a couple more drinks in. You can feel yourself loosen up and being surrounded by a group of guys you hadn’t seen before. One of them caught your eye and so you decided to step towards him. You are very close to him, and you could almost feel his lips brush against yours. When he abruptly disappears out of your hands and they get filled with a familiar pair of hands. “Can’t a friend just have some fun?” You offendedly yell at Daniel. He ignores you and continues to dance with you. All he can contain himself to do is look into your eyes. You get closer to his ear and say, “What? I’m supposed to be satisfied with you eye fucking me all night?” “Going to fuck the word friend right out of your mouth.” Daniel snaps. He takes your arm and forces you to leave the dance floor with him. Without a word to your friend group, you leave the club. You get into the taxi and don’t say a word to one another. You’re scared for what’s to come, but at the same time, you can feel the butterflies in your stomach multiple.
Daniel slams the front door closed and turns you around to trap you between him and the door. “You have no idea how long I’ve been holding back.” He says before he smashes his lips onto yours. He picks you up with one arm, and you wrap your legs around his waist. He makes his way upstairs to your room without separating his lips from yours. You can feel the urge to take off his shirt, so you step down onto the ground and grab the hem of his shirt. You pull it over his head, and at the same time, you can feel his hand going down to your pants. You let him take off your pants and from there on he takes the lead until you’re stood in front of your mirror. “If you don’t like it, then we will move on,” Daniel says as he slowly thrusts into you while placing soft kisses in your neck. All those nights you were pleasuring yourself while you imagined him going down on you, were nothing compared to the way he was making you soft in your knees right now. You really struggled to stand up, but that didn’t let Daniel withhold. “Y/N it has been you all this time..” He moans into your ears. “..fuck, this is worth the wait.” It doesn’t take you much longer to reach your high after those words. As you are almost at your peak you can feel Daniel soften behind you, sending you over the edge. He leads you to the bed and you both lay down there for the night.
You wake up the next morning with strong arms wrapped around you. As you open one of your eyes you see his tattoos. You let out a relieved sigh but can soon feel the anxiety creep up your body. What if it was just all the actions of the alcohol? What if he has the biggest regret? Your thoughts are interrupted by a kiss on your shoulder. “Goodmorning beautiful.” He says in his deep morning voice. You put on a smile and turn around “Goodmorning.” You can feel him pull you closer to him when he notices the worried look on your face. “Did I do something wrong?” His lovely morning eyes turned into a worried gaze. “Those things you said, did you mean them?” “Yes, every word of them. I wouldn’t change a thing about last night.”

A/N: Hello and welcome to my first ever story written in English! I’m very VERY nervous about posting this but since I’ve already put in the work when writing this, it would be a shame if it just stayed in my computer, wouldn’t it?
A big thanks to @keanureevesisbae for being such a great helper and supporter! ❤️
Enjoy!
Tumblr media
I hummed and cracked my neck. After hours of sitting in one position it was stiff as hell and my back wasn’t doing any better. I sighed and leaned back in the chair in the dining area of Chris‘ house.
“I think we‘re done for today,“ Chris said and finished his fourth bottle of beer. I hummed in agreement and closed my eyes for a second to give them some rest. But as quickly as I shut them down, I opened them again when I realized it was pitch dark outside. Annoyed, I groaned at the thought of the forty-minute drive back home.
We planned to end our planning session way earlier, but between laying out all the meetings, interviews, table reads and filming days so they don’t overlay over each other, we kinda got lost and forgot to watch the time.
It was worth it though. We planned out almost the next four months and everything should go smoothly. Should.
Chris must have been reading my mind as his eyes went from my small frame to the window and then back to me.
“You can stay overnight if you want to. The guest bedroom is ready for you… as always,“ he offered.
As always. I knew it was a jab at me because every time he offered something remotely close to staying overnight in his house, I dodged the offer and opted to rather drive back home. It was better that way. I was sure about that.
I didn’t know if I would be able to handle a whole damn night in a place where every corner smells like… him. Even being in his proximity for the whole afternoon and evening proved to be challenging.
Of course, this was not always the case. No.
It started pretty recently. Or maybe a couple of months ago but time flies by fast when you’re having fun - and Chris was a lot of fun. I mean, he always was. That’s just who Chris is. He’s the fun uncle, always joking and pranking everyone else and being friendly with basically everybody.
But I felt like he stopped being friendly with me a long time ago. It started with simple touches, like touching my waist so we don’t collide with each other when he walks by me in tight spaces, and even simpler gestures, like making sure I drink enough water during the day (because he knows that has been my whole life struggle) and always bringing me something to snack on (because he knows I have a very sweet tooth).
And I already had a massive crush on him before all of this. But now? Now I don’t even know what to do anymore. He was becoming more and more attractive to me with every little thing he did every day and it was starting to feel unbearable.
Actually, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if my underwear is completely drenched after spending so much time with him.
I wiggled in my chair and realised that I in fact could really feel something wet and sticky between my legs. Oh boy.
Chris looked at me with a very pointed look. Shit. I have been quiet for too long, I haven’t given him any answer to his offer.
I shook my head to get any and all horny thoughts out of there and licked my lips before gently biting the lower one.
“I don’t know, Chris,“ I murmured.
Chris sighed and shrugged.
“It’s all up to ya but you know I would love to have you over for once so you don’t have to drive all the way home. I mean, c’mon… It can’t even be safe anymore with how tired you are.“
Reluctantly I nodded in agreement and sighed. I pondered over his arguments about why I should stay and I have to say he IS right - I am tired. And yes, it is not the safest thing to drive for so long in this state. Was there any other choice though? No.
I mean yes, but that included staying with Chris. Ugh, this situation is so frustrating…
“C’mon, I’m going to give you some fresh towels and something to sleep in,“ Chris chirped. Crap, he must have taken my silence as a yes. I opened and closed my mouth like a fish on dry land, but I couldn’t think of any more reasons, why I couldn’t stay. I think I officially ran out of them the last time he offered.
With a lot of hesitation evident in my body language, I stood up and followed him to the laundry room. He handed me some towels and his t-shirt and shorts. HIS t-shirt AND shorts.
Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god. What the heck.
I inhaled deeply to calm myself down. However, it was a mistake, because I only inhaled more of his scent wafting from his t-shirt that I held pressed to my chest together with the towels. I almost whined like a kicked puppy while we were walking down the hall to the guest bedroom.
“If you need anything, text me or call for me, mkay?“ he said.
“Mhm,“ I murmured – I didn’t feel brave enough to say something else. But after we stood in the hallway for a minute and no one said anything, I took it upon myself to get this over with.
“Thank you, Chris, you’re very kind. Good night.“
“Always happy to help, ya know that,“ he said.
“I know,“ I replied.
“Good night,“ Chris said before he disappeared into his room.
I sighed and also went into my room for the night. I looked around and admired the king-sized bed with silky white sheets and a mountain of pillows. There were bedside tables on both sides of the bed and there were lamps and tissue boxes on both of them. There were two doors on the right – one of them led to the bathroom and the other one… probably a closet?
I placed my bag on the bed together with Chris’ clothes and the towels he gave me and rummaged through my bag. Aha! Thank you irregular period for making me carry another set of underwear with me wherever I go.
I walked to the open door that led to the bathroom and stepped in there. Maybe a nice shower will calm me down and help me to handle everything.
I stripped down and climbed into the spacious shower. I turned the water on and set it to a hot temperature. Just the right one. I sighed and leaned into the wall for support.
Resting my forehead on the wall I closed my eyes and thought back to everything that has happened today and everything that I still need to do tomorrow and in the next couple of days. But those thoughts haven’t lasted for a long time.
Slowly but surely they were being replaced by blue eyes, bushy beard and soft brown hair. The smell of cedar wood and citrus swarmed around me. Thick arms with popping veins wrapped around my waist and a hot and sticky body pressed to mine. Smooth skin brushed against mine and my knees started to shake. I quickly opened my eyes and looked around in panic but I quickly realized it was just my damn own fantasy.
Shaking my head I scrubbed down my body and climbed out of the shower. I should not have thoughts like that, it’s only going to make things worse for me. I dried myself and put on my underwear but held back from putting on Chris‘ clothes. I stared at it laying on the closed laundry basket and contemplated if this is a good idea.
Picking it up I brought it up to my nose and sniffed it.
Cedarwood, citrus, musk and… Dodger.
I groaned and threw it back on the laundry basket. He doesn’t have to know, what eyes can’t see…
I went back to the room and grabbed my tee from today. It’s not that dirty and I think I will be able to survive in it throughout the night and until I get back home.
While I was in the bathroom I noticed an electric toothbrush by the sink and there were new toothbrush heads so I decided to take advantage of it and brush my teeth.
After putting the tee on and quickly brushing my teeth, I climbed into the bed and wrapped myself up in the blanket.
The plan was to fall asleep as soon as possible but so far I was failing miserably. I was just tossing and turning and I could not for the life of me get rid of the ache between my thighs. I rubbed them against each other and whined.
My imagination took a strike again.
I swear I could feel huge palms wrap around my thighs and pull them apart. They gently glided from my knee to my core and created a path of goosebumps.
I shuddered and parted my legs a bit more. Gentle fingers brushed against my core and my hips bucked up.
With a moan, I opened my eyes and realized those were in fact my small fingers trying to find their way inside my underwear. I groaned and threw away the blanket that was not helping with the heat I was feeling all over my poor horny body.
There is no way back or more like no way I’m going to be able to fall asleep feeling like this. I have to do only one thing possible right now, otherwise, I’ll be just tossing and turning the whole night regretting everything that has happened today.
Hesitantly I stalked towards my handbag and took out my pale blue vibrator. I may regret this in the future but what else should a woman like me do when she is around such a fine man as Chris.
So far I managed to avoid masturbating while thinking of Chris but I think today’s the day I’m going to break one of my rules that were supposed to help me not to fall in love with him even more.
They were totally useless.
I took a deep breath and laid back on the bed. Again, I spread my legs and pressed the buzzing vibrator to my clothed core.
And as before, I let my mind wander wherever it wanted to in order to get off.
I was thinking about his blue eyes. His smile and his sexy bushy beard. Oh, how amazing it would feel if it would just brush on the sides of my thighs and then all over my over-sensitive bundle of nerves.
How amazing his full lips and pink tongue would feel lapping on my folds and the juices dripping down from my pussy.
How his hands would rub on my thighs first and then move to my belly before deferring down to my waist to pin me down to the bed.
My hips bucked up and down and my back arched. I hummed in contentment and bit my lip.
My pussy started to clench and my whole body began to shake and quiver with ecstasy.
The orgasm was so magical that my ears started to buzz and my vision became blurry before I tightly closed my eyes while I enjoyed the rest of the ride.
I clasped a hand over my mouth to cover up a moan that came to the surface.
The corners of my mouth went up and I sighed with relief.
However, that relief was quickly gone when I heard a knock on the door.
I panicked. My heart started to pound and my ears started to buzz, although right now it was for a completely different reason.
Oh no. It must be Chris. There is no one else in the house. Unless Dodger learnt how to knock on the door which is very unlikely he managed to do in the last half an hour.
I sat on the bed and looked around. There is no way he did not hear the buzzing of my vibrator and he is not stupid, he’s definitely going to put the pieces together.
Suddenly I got an idea.
I jumped from the bed and silently ran to the bathroom, grabbed the electric toothbrush and quickly ran back to the bedroom and to the door.
This should work, or at least confuse him enough if he heard something.
I exhaled to slow down the beating of my heart and with the next inhale I opened the door.
And there he was.
Clad in sleeping shorts and nothing else.
Oh sweet lord.
My eyes scanned his torso up and down. All of the tattoos he wore on his body and all of the abs he worked so hard for. Even the fine hair on his chest that looked disgusting on anyone else yet so sexy on Chris.
I looked up at his eyes and noticed a puzzled look in his blue ponds.
They jumped from my eyes to the still buzzing electric toothbrush in my hand and then to my t-shirt that clearly showed my erect nipples.
Damn, I didn’t even realize that.
He opened his mouth but nothing came out.
He tried again and this time he said: “I thought I heard…“ He did not finish the sentence, instead, his eyes flashed again to the electric toothbrush I held in my hand.
Oh god. Please no.
I turned it off and took a breath to say something but before I could say anything, he was faster.
“Ya know what… Whatever… I just wanted to say good night again and to make sure you’ve got everything you need. So… Good night!“
He quickly turned on his heel and went away from the guest bedroom I stayed in.
I sighed and bit my lip.
I closed the door and laid back in the bed. I turn on my side and stared at the electric toothbrush I placed on the nightstand next to the bed.
Should I have covered it up? Wouldn’t it be better to just let it be and deal with the consequences? Wouldn’t it be better to just let him think whatever he wants to think?
I don’t know, and I guess I’ll never know it because what is done, is done.
Tomorrow I have to get out of here as soon as possible. No breakfast, no coffee, just a simple goodbye, and I’ll be on my way home because after this, I can’t even look him straight in the eyes without coming back to that feeling when I came with him in front of my eyes.
I’ll have to avoid him for at least a week before I can see him again without turning into a full-on tomato.
Oh well. That actually won’t be possible.
Tomorrow afternoon is a photoshoot day.
For Gucci.
Which means half-naked Chris.
Yeah, I’ll have to find a last-minute excuse as to why I can not come because if I’ll see half-naked Chris, I will come, but in a whole ‘nother way…
I don’t know, what do you guys think?

hoax - part two.
ship: steve harrington x fem!reader
summary: as you had feared, your fake date changed the dynamic between you and steve. but maybe that wasn’t a bad thing.
word count: 2.7k
warnings: swearing, alcohol, princess bride spoilers (kind of? i don’t know, it’s been thirty years, watch the movie and then talk to me about it because it’s my favorite).
author’s note: it’s finally here! hope everyone enjoys it. @taylorsmylover @sllooney @cheerupbarry
part one.
all's well that ends well to end up with you.
After Steve dropped you off at home, life went on. You worked, you studied, you spent time with your friends—including him. Nothing felt off per se, but there was a shift, a change in routine, a difference maybe not dramatic to you, but something the others definitely picked up on.
For movie night, your suggestion The Princess Bride lost handily. Despite that, though, Steve still showed up with a copy.
“Oh,” he’d said, almost sheepish, “this isn’t the one we agreed on? Sorry, guys.”
The two of you sat a little closer on the couch, whispered softer, and giggled more. He rolled his eyes and grumbled when you talked about how cute Cary Elwes was, you playfully smacked his bicep in response. It was a nice, quiet night, totally typical, so you couldn’t figure out why Robin looked so perplexed when you caught her eye from across the room.
Maybe if that had been it—just one weird night of affection—your friends could have left it alone, chalking it up to a lapse of judgment on your part. But it didn’t stop. Hugs went on for too long, and smiles lingered. Any time you passed, his hand somehow found the small of your back, guiding you by. Sure, Steve was known to be affectionate with you, boundaries long abandoned, so it wasn’t that weird. But the way you’d lean into each touch was a new development. Although not as alarming of one as Steve’s very recent lack of flirting.
Cute girl after cute girl passed through Family Video without receiving so much as a wink or a terribly delivered pick up and Robin was becoming increasingly concerned. If he wasn’t sick, and he wasn’t, he wasn’t whining enough for that, it meant something else was going on.
“Harrington,” she hissed one day, eyes wide, “that total babe was throwing herself at you. That, like, never happens.”
“Was she?” Steve’s bewilderment was genuine, he simply hadn’t noticed.
“Come on, you didn’t see that? I could feel the sexual tension from here.”
“Nope,” he answered, popping the ‘P’. “Guess she just wasn’t my type.”
But Robin knew better, he wasn’t exactly discerning; anyone with a pulse and boobies was his type. Something was up and, after conspiring—gossiping—with Eddie, she was determined to figure out what exactly it was.
—
You’d probably never admit it, especially not unprompted, but Tuesday was your favorite day of the week. Sure, you were stuck at work for far too long—three doubles allowed you the freedom to study while also affording you the luxury of paying your bills—but it was also heavy metal night. Pickings were slim in a town the size of Hawkins and, as a result, Corroded Coffin got the chance to basically do a full set and you got to see your friends.
It became routine ever since Eddie joined your little group. You, of course, had no choice but to be in attendance. But Steve and Robin would come by too. Your regulars hadn’t been too receptive to the band—you’d been asked what is this ruckus? too many times to count—so, while none of you were exactly metal heads, you figured three confused, but supportive faces in the crowd couldn’t hurt. Besides, you found if you cheered loud enough, you could get most of the other bargoers on board.
So it was no surprise to see Eddie step through the dinged door, followed promptly by Robin. Even if they were a little early.
“Hey, guys,” you call out, waving.
You duck below the bar where the sanitizing bucket and rags were located. The very brief lull after Happy Hour didn’t allow for much dallying and you were stuck doing your regular tasks in a very short window of time: clean the bar, get clean glasses, and cut up your garnishes.
You grab a torn piece of fabric, dip it in the cleaning solution carefully and stand. You’re barely back to your full height when you’re greeted by Eddie and Robin’s faces just inches from yours. They’re leaning forward, elbows resting on the very surface you need to clean.
“Jesus Christ!” You rear back, free hand jumping to your chest.
“Are you going to tell us what’s going on?” Eddie asks, raising his brows. He can’t help it—he’s curious.
“Yeah,” Robin encourages with a nod, “we don’t keep secrets here.”
You sigh, reaching out and pushing them back gently so you can wipe up rings of condensation and spilled booze. “I’d really like to play along but I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
Robin laughs. If it sounds like she doesn’t believe you it’s because she doesn’t. “Uh huh, sure.”
“Something’s up with you and Steve, we can tell.”
You freeze. “I—what?”
“You’re not denying it,” Eddie points out, grinning.
“No, she’s not,” Robin agrees.
It was then you realize what was going on: you were being interrogated. “Nothing’s going on. We’re friends.”
“We’re friends and he’s not all over me,” Robin points out.
“Yeah, I wonder why that is,” you quip.
“The Princess Bride!”
“What?”
“The Princess fucking Bride,” Eddie repeats himself, eyeing you knowingly. “I was finally gonna get you guys to watch Labyrinth and he showed up with that.”
“He grabbed the wrong movie, so what?” You pause. “And you loved The Princess Bride!”
“Yeah,” Eddie admits with a chuckle, “I really did. It has some really badass sword scenes and Andre the Giant, what’s not to like?” All very fair points.
Robin sighs, poking at his shoulder. “You’re getting distracted.” She fixes her gaze on you. “Steve is the worst liar. You gotta know he did that on purpose.”
Alright, yeah, you kinda did. He wasn’t going to be getting any Oscars any time soon. But it was an act you didn’t—couldn’t—think too much about.
If you really considered it, after that night with his parents, a switch flipped, and never went back. You weren’t together, you were still very much just friends, but the touches, the unbridled affection, the soft moments didn’t stop after the facade ended and you weren’t complaining.
The dam had burst and you didn’t think you could go back. You worried if you brought it up, shining a spotlight on the niceties, that it would all end. You were selfish—you wanted it all.
“Okay…” You let out a huff of air. “So, we did kinda go on a date.”
The revelation sends Robin spiraling. “What?” She exclaims, dramatically throwing herself on the bar—she couldn’t just feel her despair, she had to show it too. “And here I thought you were the one girl in town left immune to the Harrington… uh, charm, I guess?”
“Shush,” you admonish, shooting her a warning look. You turn, flashing your customers an apologetic before your focus turns back to your friends. “It wasn’t real.”
“Alright, you lost me now,” Eddie pipes up.
Robin raises her head just enough so she can look up at you through long lashes. “What does that mean?”
“His dad was being a dick about some work dinner and he needed a plus one.” You shrug. “I just had to act like his girlfriend.”
“Oh god,” Robin groans. “Can’t believe we gave him that much credit.”
“Huh?”
“He’s been making goo-goo eyes at you for ages.”
“Mhm,” Eddie hums in agreement. “It’s kinda gross.”
“We thought he finally did something about it. Even though I always thought you were too smart for that.”
They kept going but your mind was reeling. “Goo-goo eyes?”
“You’re still on that?” Robin can’t hide it, she was enjoying this. “Yes, he practically turns into a Bugs Bunny cartoon with giant heart eyes every time he sees you. And, in true dingus fashion, he asks you on a fake date instead of a real one.” She shakes her head. “Makes no sense but it obviously worked on you somehow.”
“It didn’t—I—”
“Oh, come on.”
You blink, there’s nothing for you to say. You can’t exactly argue with Robin but actually agreeing feels wrong too. You’re stuck, two pairs of eyes trained intently on you, and you’re desperate for escape. You scan the crowd of bored-looking customers, none of which seem to eagerly need you, before you catch glimpse of the empty stage.
“Don’t you have a show or something?”
Eddie smirks. He knows what you’re doing but, in an act of pity, he decides to play along. “As a matter of fact, I do. Think the boys should be here by now. Wanna help us set up, Rob?”
“Sure.” She spins around on the stool and, when she gets up, you think you’re free. Until she calls over her shoulder, “Better figure it out soon, lover girl.”
Less than an hour later, the stage was full of instruments, microphones, and, most importantly, the band itself. The crowd increased, although not entirely for the music, and you didn’t notice Steve arrived until he was standing right before you.
Your grip on the bottle of Southern Comfort you were holding slackened a bit. All you could think was goo-goo eyes.
“Hey. sweetheart,” he grins, plopping down and claiming the nearest bar stool as his own.
You hold up a finger, letting him know you’d be with him in a minute, as you replace the bottle of whiskey with sloe gin and amaretto—with both hands officially occupied, you poured an ounce of each into the shaker.
“Crazy night,” you let him know, voice just barely able to be heard over the screeching of electric guitars and booming drums. You’re talking but you’ve yet to really look at him.
Orange juice fills the rest of the metal cup before you’re sliding a cover on, throwing it over your shoulder, and shaking the cup from side to side. Once it’s mixed and chilled, you drain it out into a Collins glass, admiring the brightly colored liquid that trickled out. Prettiest Alabama Slammer you’ve made yet.
That drink belongs to the redhead at the end of the bar. You slide it over to her with the friendliest “there ya go, love” you could muster before walking back over to your newest customer.
“Want your regular, Stevie?”
When he gives you the affirmative, you get to work. Whiskey sour, very light on the sour.
It’s easy enough and you’re handing him his drink in record time. In exchange, as always, you get far too much money. You used to argue, your attempt at letting him know he was being too generous, but he’d never budge—if he could, he’d give you even more, you were worth every penny.
He sips it casually while studying you over the rim of the glass. You looked pretty, that never seemed to change, but your shoulders were stiff and your jaw clenched. He could tell something was up. “You seem tense.”
You got that right. “I’m fine, just a little tired, I guess.”
It’s an easy lie after being at work for nine hours but it was one Steve didn’t really buy. Not that he pushed it. The two of you were close enough that he knew if you wanted to talk to him, you would. So he changed the subject. “Where’s Robin?”
“She’s around here somewhere. She showed up with Eddie to help set up.”
“Weird, we always come together.”
“Yeah, weird,” you agree. But he had no idea just how strange it was.
The mention of your mutual friend gets you thinking, though. You have no idea how Steve felt or if what they said was true, but you knew what was going on in your heart and your mind—and it was enough to alarm the people closest to you.
For the sake of the whole group, maybe it would be a good idea to just clear the air.
“Steve?” When he looks at you, you avert your gaze, focusing instead on the hanging wine glasses above the bar.  “What are you doing after this?”
“Hanging out with you.” The delivery was smooth, easy. But panic set in as he sat on the words, unease seeping through at the idea that you weren’t asking because you wanted to get together. “You, uh, know if that was like.. what you meant.”
It definitely was. “Come by my place after closing?”
“Yeah, yeah, I can do that.”
When you pull up outside your apartment hours later, Steve is already there, leaning against his car, waiting for you. You take a moment just to enjoy the sight—he looked like he belonged there, outside your home—before throwing your car in park and getting out.
“Hey.”
“Hi.”
“Let’s go inside, yeah?” You suggest. “It’s late.”
You lead the way up rickety stairs, past long dead plants you’d since abandoned, and to your front door. It certainly wasn’t Steve’s first time at your place, but you couldn’t help it—you were nervous, unready for the conversation you were going to have to initiate.
You look around for a moment, hoping for a distraction, one that would never come, you nod towards the living room. “We should sit.”
It’s a suggestion, but one Steve eagerly takes. As if it’s not your own home, he places his hand on your back, urging you forward until you’re both on the couch, almost touching.
“You’re freaking me out with how quiet you are.”
You don’t mean to. It’s the one time in your life that you don’t know what to say. Still, you try.
“I talked to Robin and Eddie earlier.”
“The gruesome twosome,” Steve mutters. “They didn’t upset you or anything, did they?” Lord knows when they got together, especially alone, they could be a lot.
Not that he was complaining. Sure, they were a handful, but so were you and Dustin and the rest of the kids. He found himself in more trouble than ever and his blood pressure had certainly risen, but he wouldn’t have it any other way. After years of shitty friends and sycophants, he considered himself lucky to have a group of people who genuinely care for him.
None of that stopped him from worrying about what they could have done, though.
“No, no, nothing like that,” you answer quickly, assuaging his concerns. “I’ve just been thinking about what they said.”
“Uh oh, what was it?”
“This is totally crazy, but they think there’s something going on with us.” You expect Steve to laugh but he doesn’t. His cheeks flush and he looks away but he doesn’t seem to find it humorous.
“They’re too nosey for their own good.” He shaves his head. “If they made you uncomfortable, I’m sorry.”
“I’m not,” you assure him. “I guess I just worried about things getting weird with us or, God forbid, the group.”
“Nothing will ever make things weird with us, you don’t have to worry about that.”
“The thing is... I don’t want anything to change either.” And you really don’t. “I, uh, I really like whatever we’re doing. Maybe too much?” It comes out like a question but it isn’t—it’s just the truth.
“I do too.”
There’s electricity in the air, a good tension.
“I always have,” Steve adds, emboldened by the disclosure. “I know we—I— joked around a lot but I think there always was some truth there.” He reaches over, grabbing ahold of your hand. “Then that night with my parents... which really was a favor, by the way. I didn’t have any gross ulterior motive.”
You squeeze his hand, not needing the assurance. You didn’t know a better human being; there was never a doubt about his intentions. “I know, Steve.”
“It was kinda the same, you know? You were still ridiculously pretty and I got to call you all those cutesy little names you love to hate. But it also felt serious. Like, it wasn’t real but it felt like it was.”
“I get what you mean,” you agree. “It just felt natural. I didn’t really want it to end.”
“What if it didn’t have to?” Steve pauses for a moment, considering his words. “What if we tried it for real this time?”
You smile—big, bright, genuine—and Steve’s brain practically short circuits. “Are you asking me on an actual date?”
“I sure am.”
You can’t help yourself, the confirmation makes you giggle. He looks alarmed and you cover your face. “Hey,” he says, hands gently wrapping around your wrist, pulling your hands back down. “What’s so funny?”
“Robin is going to hate this.”
That gets him to laugh too. “God, you’re right. Especially when we tell her it’s all her fault.”
“If only she kept her mouth shut,” you agree, your shoulder bumping against his.
“But thank God she didn’t.” Steve wraps an arm around you, pulling you even closer. “I might have to send her a fruit basket or something.”

Tumblr media
➳ lucifer is impeccable at dancing, as he is with everything else, and he effortlessly leads the two of you around. every move is graceful and purposeful, and the light touch he slims across your back sends shivers down your spine. he holds you at a polite distance, but every now and then he’ll tug you a little closer, toes that line of propriety. it’s rude of him to tease, but it’s also incredibly thrilling, and his eyes bore into yours, so intense and captivating you feel like you’ll never be able to look away.
Tumblr media
➳ mammon loves the feeling of you on his arm, visible for everyone to see. he also just loves having you with hi, loves that out of everyone you want to dance with, you choose him. the two of you keep it simple, just swaying, and an easy conversation flows between you about the people there, the refreshments, the decor, etc., etc. the lights dance in your eyes and your smile is always so bright, and when you have to pull away from one another mammon always ends up feeling unreasonably cold.
Tumblr media
➳ levi blushes and stutters his way through asking you to dance, but you patiently wait him out, barely hiding your feelings of amused endearance. you eagerly say yes, surprising levi, who hadn't really expected you to say yes. he’s probably the most awkward to dance with, but you love it all the same, and force him to stay out on the floor with you. you try to chat with him to keep him distracted, because you knew if he thought too hard about the fact that he has you in his arms he’d combust.
Tumblr media
➳ satan draws you in, a magnetic pull you can’t refuse. you let him spin you around, pulling you in as close as he dares. your putty in his hands and he absolutely knows it. he teases you much like lucifer does, but he’s less subtle of it, more brazen. a smirk plays at the edges of his lips, a spark dancing in his eyes, and you match his energy with ease, delighted by the attention he’s giving you. it makes you feel like the center of his world, and for satan, by all intents and purposes, you basically were at the time.
Tumblr media
➳ asmo plasters himself to you, but only after making sure you’re okay with it. he often prefers the more sensual dances, but he’ll admit slow dancing with you has an attraction all on it’s own. he gets to show you off, and you can show him off, and cute semi-candid photos of you always end up online. his hand occasionally dips a little lower than what’s publicly considered acceptable, but he’s always quick to play innocent, much to your amusement. eventually, you have to drag him off the dance floor, as you know he can go all night.
Tumblr media
➳ beel isn’t the most graceful dancer, but he’s still able to sway back and forth with you, holding you comfortingly to his chest. his hand is broad and steady on your back, a solid weight that heats your skin. you’re lost in your own little world, focused completely on each other. you grow tired faster than he does, but beel, ever attentive to you, notices and gets you a drink before you can even say anything about it. as you rehydrate yourself he stands next to you, not willing to step away in case someone else got the bright idea to step in.
Tumblr media
➳ belphie isn’t a big dancer, but for you, he’ll make an exception. his steps are measured and even, and you love how he makes you feel like you’re in your own little bubble. you don’t talk very much, instead focused on dancing, which is fine with you, and the scent of his cologne surrounds you, heady and intoxicating. he grows tired quickly, but asks if you'll still stay with him rather than dancing with anyone else, something you agree to with a giggle, much to his relief. he knows you want to dance, though, and so he fortifies himself to get you back out there as soon as he can.

“You say I want to be Your Girlfriend! It wasn’t really in my plans…”
— girlfriend; Hemlocke Springs
;Usagi Yuzuha x Fem + AFAB! Reader hcs
Tumblr media
Usagi relationship headcanons where you two are both silly and goofy— that’s it, that’s the post. Basically how you two get together! Romance blossoming in the Borderlands, what a strange turn of events…
a/n; i am coping rn cause i have a maths chapter test in like 9 hours and i am not prepared im so bad at math. Anyways this is just gonna be some fluff. ♥️♥️♥️ very messy post because im super tired tho,,,
Tumblr media
So… who’d be the first one to confess? 🤔
Read to find out !! 😋
Jk its kinda both of you but mainly Usagi
You two would probably meet early on, maybe in the tag game where the two of you catch each other’s eye and agree to travel together <3
You’d be there by Usagi’s side as you both live day by day, and when you find the sweaty lookin’ guy from the Tag game lying on the ground all depressed you two kind of take him in
Like
You two mama birds just kinda adopt the guy
Usagi ends up taking care of most of the hunting while you do mostly everything else
You’re the one who tries to force feed Arisu even when he refused it
Usagi kept you from choking the poor guy.
Y’all are basically tied at the hip tho
Which also soon includes Arisu
(But you n Usagi are closer shh dont tell him that)
Things pretty much stay the same between you two until y’all arrive at The Beach (cue thunder strike)
With this whole sort of place that seems like it was capable of running actual electricity and shit you wanted to do smth special!!
“Do you think we can use their kitchen?!”
“Y/N we’re literally duct taped to chairs right now.”
“She’s got a point though Usagi— I’m kinda craving like… cookies.”
That was the small talk the three of you had before the whole dramatic intro of the Beach and its top goobers
After that whole shenanigan, you and Usagi insist on sharing the same room
It was just a lot more comfortable for the two of you
This place gave you the creeps ngl
That meant a lot of late night talks
Well, as many as y’all got before shit hit the fan again
You two always talked about what you’d do when you finally get to leave. Visit each other every day, maybe even get a place together? Usagi couldn’t bare to live in her old place ever since her father disappeared
You knew everything about that as well
Just from the few months you two shared together, you guys knew a lot about each other
You even promised her that you’d help her get back into climbing
Maybe indoor climbing first for you though
The more you two spent time with one another though, the more the two of you caught yourself… lingering
Whether it be longing looks or touches, it’d always be done subconsciously and end up with someone a little flustered
Arisu caught on though and asked wtf was going on
You, of course, blew him off
After the hearts game though, you two immediately ran for each other
Both battered and bruised, you clung to her as she scanned you over for anything that might have been fatal
Usagi cries out in relief to see that you’re okay
“Where were you? Where were you? What would I do with myself if I lost you too? What would I do? I can’t lose a person I love—”
That made you sit up.
“You— you love me?”
Usagi couldn’t help but let out a choked smile to see that incredulous expression on your face
Well she can’t really deny it, can she?
You could only hug her tighter with tears welling in your eyes, the pain of everyone that’d been slaughtered would only remain in all of you forever but maybe the seeds of healing had already been planted for you two as you pressed a kiss against her cheek
You two were peas in a pod.
You protected those you loved, worked together to achieve your goals
And when Usagi struggled to understand why going back to the real world would be any better than the world they were forced to fight to live in, you couldn’t understand
But you tried to
The strong woman you’d grown so used to seeing so level headed hid in your arms as she held back tears
Listening to every pained doubt, choked out words
You were there for her
And no doubt, she’d hold you taut against her whenever you needed it too.
You helped Usagi get over her doubts and fears of returning to the living world, ensuring her that she wouldn’t be alone in dealing with her troubles
And that— not if— but when you two return, you’ll celebrate like you’ve never before

could i request some marelliana and first kiss please?
so. yeah i did it! finally! it took two months but i did it! beta read by @the-blender-of-the-genders
it's under the cut btw <3
Biana laughed as ae watched Fitz awkwardly squish himself onto Keefe’s lap as a dare from Stina. Ae could tell they both secretly enjoyed it, even if they’d never admit it. Keefe’s face was flushed bright red and Fitz was touching the middle of his palms, something Biana noticed he only did when he got nervous.
"Fitz, your turn to do a truth or dare," Stina told him. Unfortunately, he wasn’t paying attention, as he was too busy admiring Keefe.
"Fitz!" ae called. He turned toward aer. "Stop staring at Keefe, dude, it’s your turn to go!"
"In my defence, I wasn’t staring," he said, trying (and failing) to regain his composure. "Anyways, uh, Marella! Truth or dare?"
Biana quickly looked at Marella, immediately regretting it after Sophie gave aer a suggestive eyebrow raise. Ae rolled aer eyes in an attempt to hide aer fear of Marella finding out.
Although, aer inner voice began, it might not be the worst thing to happen. They could like you back! Or they might not, and that’s okay. It would suck, but at least you don’t have to keep this secret anymore.
Ae shook the thought away. Ae wouldn’t dare tell them, even though there was an 80% chance they already knew. Anyways.
"Hmm, that’s hard." Marella sighed, before eventually making their choice. "Dare."
Fitz’s mouth stretched into a grin that made Biana want to curl up into a ball. He was almost definitely thinking about how he could humiliate aer as much as possible. Ae started to regret telling him about aer personal life.
"I dare you," he began, "to propose to someone in this room—like the humans do—completely seriously."
Ae sighed with relief. No uncontrollable blushing for aer, right?
Wrong.
———————————————
They didn’t have to go over to Biana. They could’ve just gone with someone like Keefe or Tam, just for the joke. But to be honest, it felt good to make aer flushed.
Marella walked over to Biana and smirked. Ae rubbed aer hands down aer face, but Marella could see that ae was smiling underneath.
"Hold on, gimme a sec. I need tears," they said. They proceeded to try and fake-cry by widening their eyes and staring at the ceiling, but after about fifteen seconds they gave up.
They knelt down in front of aer and straightened their imaginary bowtie. "Biana Amberly Ae/aer-fuck-the-gender-binary Vacker, will you make me the happiest person in the Lost Cities and marry me?"
"Oh my god," cried Biana, through tears of aer own—probably from laughter; everyone else was laughing and Marella was barely keeping it together. "Yes, yes, a million times yes! Oh, I can’t even say that with a straight face. I’m too gay for this." That’s what it took for them both to explode into laughter, leaning on each other for support.
They made eye contact, and suddenly everything else faded into the background. The world was made of just them, and for that brief period, everything seemed perfect. Marella wouldn’t have changed a thing.
"I don’t want to break up you lovebirds, but it’s your turn, Marella," said Linh, trying to cover up vir giggles.
"Oh. Shit, okay. Biana." They turned towards aer, trying to put on a suggestive smirk to cover up how flustered they were. "Truth or dare?"
"Fuck you, darling," ae said.
"Shouldn’t we wait a bit for that? I mean, we just got engaged. Our friends are all here." Marella grinned smugly as Biana rolled aer eyes.
"I pick dare," Biana decided.
"I dare you to spend ten minutes in a closet with me."
"Sure."
———————————————
Ae almost cried when they said that. All of it. It seemed surprisingly genuine—almost rehearsed.
Marella sat down next to Biana. "So. Hi," they said quietly, in stark contrast to their normal loud, energetic voice.
"Hi," ae replied.
"You’re probably wondering what the fuck that was."
"Very much so."
"Basically, uh, I. I like you. A lot." They paused, awaited aer reaction. Biana has no idea what ae looked like in that moment, but it probably wasn’t the calm smile ae was going for. Could they actually be telling the truth? Probably not. It was most likely just a stupid prank.
Marella continued, oblivious to Biana’s deprecating thoughts. "Some would even call it love, should they know how intense it is. I love you more than you’ll ever know. Since Level Four, when we both had these new, queer feelings and didn’t know who to talk to so we turned to each other. I felt like you understood me better than anyone else in the world. I still do. No offense to Keefe."
"None taken. Continue your love confession," he replied through the door.
"Thank you. Wait." They looked back at the door before resuming their rant. "Actually, I don’t care. As I was saying, seeing you smile alone can make my week. Everything about you just feels so perfect and I don’t understand how you don’t think so. I was so dedicated to you, to our friendship, and I felt my heart ripped in two when we drifted apart. Our relationship is something that I cherish so, so much and I don’t want to lose that—I never have—but then I did. And, after months of therapy and coming to terms with myself and my identity, I came to the rather huge realization that I love you, Biana. I really, really do. And you don’t have to do anything about this now, or at all. I just want you to know."
Biana tried to suppress aer grin, still plagued with the worry that it could be fake. Ae felt aer face burn brighter than ae thought possible. "Really?"
"Yeah, duh," they teased, but there was no real teasing behind it. "I wouldn't have said it if I didn't mean it."
They sat in silence for a few moments, sharing a glance or a smile every now and then. Biana didn't mind. Ae could have stayed like that forever and still be content.
"Can I kiss you?" ae blurted out suddenly. "Sorry. That was random. Can I, though?"
"…Yeah. Please do."
Ae leaned forward, nervous and unprepared. Ae closed aer eyes—that’s what you’re supposed to do, right? Ae had no idea—and pressed aer lips against Marella’s.
It wasn’t perfect. Obviously. But it still meant something. It felt… different. New, exciting, good. Ae wanted to do it again. And again. And again.
"Can we…" Marella looked shy, something ae still wasn’t used to. "Can we do that one more time?"
Biana nodded so quickly it hurt.

FFXIVWrite Day 18 - A Fish Out of Water
As good of an Altais prompt this is, I've touched on her general out place feelings multiple times already so I decided to go back to Kito's early time on the First a little more with this one.
Don’t know my characters? Here’s a basic breakdown to help you out!
~
Kito could not sleep. Others would be quick to blame the unnatural light slipping through the cracks in his window shutters even in the middle of the night. But Kito knew the real reason.
It was too quiet.
Not in a way anyone else would understand. It had nothing to do with the actual sounds of the city. It was all in Kito’s head. Most people were used to silence accompanying their thoughts. Once, long ago, he would have even been grateful for it himself.
But Kito’s bond with Twintania had given them something unique. A constant sense of each others’ presence, feelings, and thoughts that was hard to explain in words. Their souls were connected, their minds shared one space for two identities. It was never silent in Kito’s mind. Even when they pulled as far apart as possible, Twintania’s emotions were always there on the edge of his mind. The ancient wyrms idle thoughts tended to drift slower than his own, the dragons’ different sense of time showing in her very thoughts. Kito had taken comfort in slowing down his own racing thoughts by matching the pace of his mind to hers.
Now though, his thoughts ran free without restraint. And there were so many of them with everything going on. He had been dragged off to an entirely different world, disconnected from Twintania by the distance across the rift, and his brother was here too somehow. Kito had expected the Scions. Not his insane brother Kotah.
Except Kotah wasn’t insane anymore? If that could be believed anyway. He and the Exarch both insisted he wasn’t like that after spending a couple years on the First. Kito found it hard to believe.
“Can’t sleep?” a voice interrupted Kito’s thoughts, causing him to yelp and fall out of bed in alarm.
Once he freed himself from the tangle of blankets that had come down with him, Kito was finally able to look up to see Ardbert watching him.
“Are you going to haunt me when I sleep every night?” Kito demanded with a hiss.
“You didn’t look very asleep to me. You had the look of a man lost in thought” Ardbert pointed out.
“My thoughts are a little lonely these days, is all” Kito admitted, climbing to his feet and remaking the bed.
“Ah yes, you share them all with that dragon don’t you?” Ardbert nodded as he remembered.
“Can you just leave me alone to sleep now?” Kito demanded.
“What’s really bugging you? I can’t do much these days, but I at least can listen” Ardbert tried again.
“Everything, alright? I’ve been dropped into an entirely different world, and for some reason of all the accidental summons the Exarch managed to pick up my crazy evil brother and everyone insists he isn’t evil anymore! And somehow Twintania was left behind despite him being here! The Exarch thinks she only wasnt brought here because he was targeting a human, but that doesn’t make it any easier to deal with this mess”
“I think I get it. Not all of it, but some of it I get. I was in the same situation when I traveled to your world. Everything was strange and unfamiliar. Had my home not been threatened, I might have enjoyed the adventure. I think all of us would have if we had the chance to”
“Yeah, that I get. It’s exciting. I think I’d be more excited about this if it hadn’t come with a thousand problems” Kito sighed in agreement.
“Try to enjoy the journey anyway if you can. It’s what we adventurers do after all” Ardbert suggested.
“I plan to try. There were some interesting flowers I wanted to collect, so I might as well start with that. Are you able to leave me to sleep now? I do have a lot to do in the morning you know” Kito smiled.
“I’ll try not to haunt you in your sleep too much in the future” Ardbert agreed warmly.
Kito turned to adjust the bed one final time and when he glanced back over Ardbert was gone.
What a strange situation he was in. On a new world, being haunted by a ghost.
Ardbert was probably right to suggest looking at it as an adventure. If Kito could slip the extra circumstances to the back of his mind a little more, he might just enjoy this visit to another world.

Hurt prompt 🥺 "for how long? how long were you bottling this up?" Peterpatterlina?
When Reggie first floated the idea of whether or not Julie was a witch, none of the guys noticed how she froze up. They were too busy debating their new ghostly status to pay attention. And since they never brought it up again, neither did she.
Because before Rose died, she told Julie the truth. That all the Alvarez women possessed the power of the mystic arts, and would gain access to those powers come their fifteenth birthday. Everyone's powers were different, Rose could charm and beguile people, even plants with her music. Victoria could compel and heal people, to a degree with her cooking. Julie hadn't had time to discover her gift, too lost in her grief for her mother.
Apparently it was the ability to see ghosts.
At times like this Julie missed her mother intensely, having a million questions and no one to turn to. Sure, she had her aunt, but given how freaked she got by the accidental haunting Reggie gave her, Julie figured her aunt wouldn't buy the whole normal dudes who happen to be ghosts explanation like Flynn did.
So Julie has to figure it out on her own, checking out piles of books on the occult from the library, framing it as trying to understand Carlos' new obsession if her papi asks. But they offer very little answers, and given she can't exactly tell the guys without revealing her witchy status, she also can't get them to ask Willie questions.
Then the whole jolts-Orpheum-the guys were now tangible thing happened, and Julie wondered if they would question it. Though they seem content to believe their love for each other was the reason, and not Julie's innate powers that are even greater than she even dreamed of. Especially when it turns out the guys can be seen-be touched by everyone she cares about, but are still decidedly still ghosts.
That's a fun conversation to have with her dad.
"i-is it due to the whole-" Ray waggles his fingers at her, like it's the symbol for spooky stuff, "-thing?"
Julie nods, though Luke looks more than a little confused. "What thing?"
"Julie's a witch!" Carlos pipes up from where he's playing a game on the couch, and Julie hopes he can feel her glare from where she's standing.
"I knew it!" Reggie exclaimed. "Wait, can you turn us into frogs? Fly on a broom? Talk to animals?"
"Not that kind of witch Reg," Julie admits, and has to hold back a giggle at his disappointed expression. "More so I have a weird connection to ghosts. It only started last year, and the more I care about the ghosts, the more my power can affect them. I guess, there's no real manual for this kind of thing, believe me I looked.
"So when we first got here, and Reggie said... for how long? how long were you bottling this up?" Luke asked.
"Since then basically. And I wasn't sure it was my powers at first, so I didn't want to say anything. Plus I'm sure my mom still had something to do with it," Julie says.
"She may have sent us to you Julie.." Luke starts.
"But you saved us all on your own," Reggie finishes, the both of them taking a hand in theirs.
Julie tried to ignore the rush of warmth that swept through her at their touch, burning a blush across her cheeks, but since the boys were also blushing, furtive glances all around, she figured she wasn't alone in the feeling.
She knew one thing, her feelings for these guys and how they influenced her powers just got a lot more interesting.

Okay I know I'm spam posting again today (legitimately, when am I not) but I want to like, give some kind of story and shit to the PPAA characters that I DON'T use. So basically, all of the Smokejumpers, Dipper, Patch who everyone seems to forget, and [fucking] Cabbie. Technically I have given Maru a backstory so I don't really need to do his as badly as the others.
I actually have had a vague story idea for Cabbie and the Children, but unfortunately, the story is loose-ended right now and missing a few key things to really make it appealing for me to write. I'm probably going to have to cut it into one-shots that string together because while it explains how they all ended up on Piston Peak, it also goes into their backstories and how a lot of then knew each other for reasons long before Piston Peak. If and when I get the energy to make it it'll likely be full of poor life choices, alcohol, bar fights (just guess who that is) and a group of kiddos trying to make it through a hard-knock life together.
Dipper I'm still trying to get some stuff going on. In an old headcanons chapter I explained why and how she ended up at the park, and how her and Blade are in terms of friendship. I'm hoping to go back to that and delve a little deeper into it storywise because I have some really close to home ideas for Dipper...
Patch is just like. The other one. Idk. I've seen folks depict Patch pretty young though, and I'm thinking the contrary. She's gotta be at least mid 40s or more. I think she's themed pretty oldschool as well, very classy gal, so I need to build up something around that idea. Not sure what yet but I'm kinda throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks.
And speaking of which, that's actually how I'm trying to do Cabbie's story too. I mentioned the Smokejumpers thing and he is in it, but I don't want him to be the focus, that really is just a Smokejumpers story. Cabbie needs his own damn thing, and thats gonna be...well okay, that's hard for several reasons right now, the biggest thing being I have to build a backstory without risking my mental health (thank you triggers, yaaaay). But also, I know fuck all about military anything. Theres a reason I avoid him, Skipper, Sparky, Bravo and Echo, and like any other military character ever. Like fuck man, I don't know this shit, I really don't care that much for the most part. My plan if and when I do anything for him is literally just to cleanly avoid the military parts unless absolutely necessary. I am not subjecting myself to nitpicking from the avgeeks, love y'all but I ain't touching that with a ten-foot pole. For Cabbie I literally just need to do a family backstory and how he lost his hand. That's it. That's my list. If I can do those two things we will be golden.
Otherwise I could maybe do Cad but again, o don't really care, and honestly he really doesn't need it? I have no plan to use him at all, not even in background, so like. He's just fine as the asshole he is. Ol Jammer and the Secretary of the Interior are the same, as are the other Lodge Dudes. I just have no desire to even use them.
Okay that's probably my last shitpost of the morning, byeeee

October 23, 2022
I can’t believe I haven’t written in weeks.
So much has happened, and yet nothing at all. I don’t know why it’s so hard to write when I’m in the throes, highs or lows.
Lo ended up “basically having sex” with that girl that night, in her car, on some deserted street. i lost my mind, to say the least. and i still had several hours to not erupt/cry publicly before she left, and so we watched a movie, walked around the grove’s farmer’s market, and drove mostly silently in the car while i tried not to grip the steering wheel to hard and throw up. she sensed something was off but didn’t push it and neither did i.
for reasons that i still don’t understand, despite feeling all of the anger and betrayal and hurt, i still volunteered to get her some porto’s while she packed, though whilst doing i cried and called/texted everyone i knew and scream/cried at them.
anyway, we sort of reconciled some days later, and i texted her everything that i felt and she apologized and said some combination of she had no idea, thought we were just friends, and to not feel bad as this had happened to her before with previous “masc” friends.
somehow after my breakdown and the resolution, a new level of honesty and transparency really elevated our friendship. we text more than ever, leave each other voice messages, and have even spoken on the phone in real time. i’m weirdly very appreciative of her friendship and find it worth it all.
today is sunday, at 9:58 a.m., and i’m listening to some sort of “sad indie” mix on spotify and “discovering” new music. i’ve got a solid cup of coffee, the sky is blue, the sun is out, and the air is crisp. i already did a load of dishes, made my bed, and took my meds. this is a far cry from friday, in which i just slept the day away, occasionally got texts from jadai and cried, and ate orzo for like 2/3 meals for the past and next few days. i was in a really bad place. i hadn’t showered since like monday which was particularly problematic because i was going in for a microblading eyebrow touch up and wouldn’t be able to shower or wash my face/hair properly for a couple weeks, and so a smart person would have made it a point to take as deep a shower immediately prior, but i was not being a smart person.
i forget why jadai texted me in the first place, but i know that it made me feel bad. or rather, .... it reminded me of how bad i felt. it was grey, there was a chill in the air, that late October chill, that Halloween-adjacent chill that’s sharp and grey and cold and bitter, and the world seems drained of all hope and joy. and i had a really really hard time trying to make sense of what the purpose of life was, had trouble thinking of a single thing that would improve my mood, of anything that would make anything better. i just was frozen in the horror of a pained, yet meaningless existence.
it made me wonder if anything would have been different had she been there. i know she would have been frustrated that my sadness couldn’t be shaken, i know i would have felt slightly pressured to “feel better,” and that she wouldn’t let me just sleep all day. she’d have gotten me up on a walk and a shower, but ultimately she’d succumb to the palpable sadness too and i’d feel guilt, or i’d feel a modicum better but know it might’ve been enough for an hour or a day, but it’d run out, and .... there we’d be back again.
i also think she would have helped enormously, just being there. i would have loved to just be held by her, and know that this was the only calm from the storm, that this was the only gossamer of sanity keeping me grounded, but without it last friday, i felt truly lost. i was horrified at the prospect of the day continuing, of life continuing the way it would.
a part of what exacerbated it was knowing she was doing so okay. she had spent the day climbing with iris and went to get food. her relationship was going well. she had cooper. her life just went on, just got better, i was just a bit of a launching point in which i encouraged her to follow her extracurricular interests, and now she was happily climbing, bicycling, playing board games, and camping, just with others, just without me. it made me sad that she could be so happy and fulfilled when i was so sad and unfulfilled. i don’t know why i couldn’t just feel happy for her, as i know i should.
yesterday was a transition day. after 12 hours of sleep, i managed to text a few friends, make lunch plans with lana for today (sunday), and tidied some of the mess made over the last few days. i may have even taken a shower. i also played hours of Final Fantasy 8 on my phone which i can’t tell was a good or bad thing, but i beat the T-Rexaur a couple times before my phone died without saving and i had to do it again in the morning.
i kind of came to the realization that .... as much as i am able, i have to try and not to succumb to every rollercoaster emotion i have. when i feel good, i can’t imagine feeling bad, and when i’m feeling bad, the notion of any goodness is completely out of reach, and i have to somehow train myself not to give in to whatever feeling i’m having at the moment as being “absolute truth,” especially when it’s negative.
on friday i tried not to reach out to too many people to complain of how bad i felt because i had a suspicion that the mood would at least somewhat lift by sunday, and then i would have concerned and wasted the time of friends for a mini crisis that would be forgotten just days later, but that time would still have been wasted.
and i guess i’m right, because the sadness has rolled through and left me still mostly intact. lana’s since canceled our lunch since sawyer had a fever last night that she doesn’t want to pass along to me, so my day has completely cleared up, and i’m not sure if i want to do anything to fill it.
oh, i think one of the main things that i thought of on friday was how i felt so much of this year has been a waste. jadai’s been out of my life for 10 months and i have nothing to show for it. i’m not richer, fitter, more developed in my career, more enriched by meaningful friendships, not in the throes of a passionate romance. i think i have a few sort of benchmarks/indicators of what i consider to be success, or health, and those are: advancing in my career saving/making more money losing weight dressing better finding a partner making/strengthening friendships reading more writing more playing more guitar getting better at fishing/youtubing my fishing
on bad days, none of these markers mean anything, nothing makes any sense. everything is artifice, everything is construct, everything is circular thoughts and nonsensical chemicals twirling around and affecting me with no order.
but other days, i come out of it and i want to look back and see that some progress has been made. and i think i’d feel better if i came out of this somehow and some of those metrics had moved even ever so slightly in a positive direction.

Your c!slimecicle smut was so good I just have to ask for another one. Could you do a c!slimecicle x male reader that’s also a hybrid of something? Like maybe a hybrid like badboyhalo but only half demon. The reader is the only one willing to teach Charlie stuff and be patient with him.
If your not comfortable with male readers then you can change it to female ^^
yeah no probs dude - i myself am genderfluid so switching genders aint a problem
Old Slime, New Tricks (C!Slimecicle X Reader)
Las Nevadas was an odd bunch.
It seemed like Quackity had gone out of his way to collect the most eccentric of characters from around the SMP - a half creeper who happened to also be the warden of the prison, a little alien boy who hated everything and everyone, the fox son of the ex-president of L'Manburg, a literal god... the list went on.
Las Nevadas may have been an odd bunch, but as a half demon yourself, you fit right in.
In a constantly changing land plagued with wars, Las Nevadas was a welcome break from the constant battlefield anywhere else. Here, you could settle down, catch your breath - you even had time to get back to some of the hobbies you had enjoyed before everyone had started killing each other.
Hell, you had a real job here - and it was the easiest job you'd ever had.
When you'd first moved into the area, Quackity had all but shoved Charlie at you, assigning you both his babysitter and teacher. You had been a bit disgruntled at the responsibility at first, but even grudgingly you admitted it made sense. If anyone was going to be teaching someone how to be human, having someone that had had to learn human tendencies themselves was probably a good idea.
If you'd taught yourself how to be lean into your human side, you could teach a sentient slime man how to do it.
It helped that Charlie was eager to learn - his endless enthusiasm made the job kind of fun, actually. He was a ray of sunshine even on your bad days, and over time as you showed him the ropes of humanity, you had actually come to really like him.
Maybe too much, but that was a different story.
He had made great leaps and bounds as a student - he had learned basic interactions in almost no time, and he had stopped slipping up with motor functions so much anymore (it had been at least two weeks since the last time he'd forgotten how joints worked and bent his knees the wrong way).
Now, you were working on reading. You were sprawled out on one of the leather couches in the casino, reading over Charlie's shoulder as he read aloud.
"...voice low enough that it was more of a groll? Grawl? What does this one say?"
Were you teaching Charlie to read using pulpy erotica? Perhaps. It was really Quackity's fault though - it was all he had laying around the casino.
"Growl." You supplied.
Charlie blinked down at the page before looking over at you. "He's growling at her? Like an animal?"
You shrugged. "It's supposed to be sexy."
Charlie nodded slowly - confusion written plain on his face. "Right."
You shook your head, amused. "Charlie, do you get whats happening in the book right now?"
Charlie looked down at the open pages in his lap before he glanced back up to you, nodding. "He's going to kill her."
You laughed, pulling the book from him and holding it. "No, they're going to have sex."
"So he's not going to kill her?"
"Literally the opposite." You said, thumbing down the corner of the page you were on. "Do you remember how in the beginning of the book, she was saying how she was drawn to him?"
"Yup!"
"It's because she's attracted to him." You explained. "And since meeting him, she's gotten to know him some more now, and she thinks she loves him, right?"
"I remember that part, it was in chapter 11!" Charlie chimed in.
"So when two people love each other, they have sex." You said. "It's just something you do with someone you love a lot to make them feel really good."
"I see." Charlie said, a pensive look coming over his face. "Can we have sex then?"
You choked on air, eyes snapping over to him and away from the book. "Sorry?"
"You said people do it when they love each other." Charlie said with all seriousness. "And I love you very much, so can we have sex."
You blinked at him, taking in the genuinely questioning expression on his face. He was serious. He actually wanted to do this. And even though you knew you probably shouldn't, since you were basically a babysitter for him, you knew what you were going to say.
"Yeah, sure."
---
"Okay, so it's going to work a little differently then how it did in the book." You said, stripping your pants off so that you were fully naked.
Your clothes joined Charlie's on the floor, and you sat on the edge of the bed next to him, scanning over his skin. He was just as comfortable without his clothes as he was in them, and seemed plenty eager to get on with the actual activity.
"Since you and I are both in possession of dicks," You said, sliding a hand over Charlie's thigh to take him in your hand. "Obviously it's going to be a different arrangement."
In your hand, Charlie's slime rippled with excitement.
"Oh that's fucking weird."
"Sorry." Charlie said. "I didn't mean-"
"Didn't say it wasn't hot though." You finished, moving your hand to Charlie's chest to push him back onto the bed. Leaning down close to his ear, you whispered, "Do you mind if I do the fucking? I've been wanting to for a while now."
This time, Charlie's whole body rippled. "Yes please."
You took the opportunity to press downward, letting your hipbones meet his as you nosed along his neck, enjoying the way his skin actually moved to meet you. He gasped as you sank your teeth into his neck, leaving a love bite right on the slightly slimy skin. At this rate, he would be a puddle of slime by the time you were done.
Propping yourself up so that you hovered over him with one hand, you used the other to travel down his side, feeling as his skin moved and gave with the touch of a hand. "I probably won't even have to stretch you out..." You mused. "I could just slid right in if I wanted to..."
"Go for it man." Charlie said, the end of his sentence getting lost in a whimper as you lined yourself up and pushed in in one go.
As expected, there was no resistance - the slime only giving way and perfectly molding around you. You let out a shaky exhale as the feeling of it all rushed over you, tucking your face into Charlie's shoulder for a moment.
"This feels weird." Charlie said.
"Bad weird?"
"No?" Charlie replied. "It's kind of... nice."
You smiled, pressing a quick kiss over the mark you had left earlier. "You're going to love this next bit then."
You began to roll your hips, thrusting in and out of Charlie, listening to the squelch of the slime as it continued to mold around you even as you moved. It was perfect - squeezing around you without being too constricting, but dragging across every patch of skin as you moved, lighting up all your nerves.
You had only just started, and Charlie was already the best lay you'd ever had.
"Wow." Charlie gasped, fisting his hands into the sheets. "You were right- ah-"
He broke off into a soft moan as you picked up the pace, savoring the grind of your hips together. Moving from where you had your face pressed into his shoulder, you locked your lips together with his, silencing the moan halfway through with a kiss.
If the sweet drag against your cock kept up, you weren't going to last much longer. And judging by the way Charlie's skin was beginning to ripple under your touch again, neither was he.
You pounded into him for the last few thrusts until he was coming, his entire body giving into a fit of shudders as his skin rippled. It was the strangest sensation, feeling the rippling as he was wrapped around you, but it was what pushed you over the edge. You came with a groan, slumping forward to lay on Charlie's chest.
For a moment, it was quiet.
"So?" You asked.
"I would like to have sex again please."

»»————- ————-««
Spencer's daughter hated her dad's new girlfriend. And she wasn't subtle about it. She hated that her father was now dating, 'cos she didn't want to share his love. So now she didn't even want to be around him anymore 'cos he was so happy, it was annoying.
It wasn't that she hated her father, 'cos she loved him. But she was never going to face the fact she was jealous. She didn't want to share Spencer with anyone because he was all the family she knew, and they were a team.
Victoria Reid was twelve years old. She had grown up alone with her dad 'cos her mother had ditched the two of them soon after she was born. Spencer had tried to explain to his daughter her mom had left 'cos she wasn't ready to deal with the responsibility of being a mother, which was true. He, on the other hand, was happy to know he was going to be a father, and he repeated over and over again she was the best thing that had ever happened to him.
That was true.
When Spencer and his ex found out they were going to be parents, he was ecstatic. He couldn't wait to hold his baby in his arms and watch them grow. He didn't know his girlfriend had other plans, though, and soon after Victoria was born, she had left the two of them and never looked back.
Spencer wasn't going to lose the chance of being a dad. Even when he knew he was too young, Reid was ready to raise that baby on his own and give her all the love he had.
That's why he and Victoria were so close. Spencer was the only parent she had ever had. He was her world. And though Spencer was only 24 when Tori was born, he had given her his best.
Tori was the BAU's baby girl. Everybody in the team was a part of her life because she had grown up with them. Penelope was her best friend and godmother. Victoria would spend a lot of time with her while her dad was away on a case. Derek was her cool uncle. He helped her train to get into the basketball team and taught her how to dance. JJ was the closest to a mother figure in her life. Tori would spend time with her after school, playing with Henry. Spencer always said JJ was like a sister for him, and that's why they were all like family. Tori actually called Henry and Michel her cousins.
Emily was like her best friend. They could talk about anything, and at least twice a month, they would go out together shopping, just the two of them. Spencer always respected his daughter's relationship with his friend 'cos they were their little extended family. Tori called Rossi "Nono." He had taught her himself, and she loved going to his mansion, 'cos he always had new video games to play with her.
But then came (Y/N). She had joined the team when Victoria was only six years old, and for the first five years, they got along just fine. (Y/N) would come along shopping with her and Emily, sometimes she took Tori out for some pastries, and talked about bands, boys. Victoria loved her.
That until the incident.
She hated (Y/N) after the incident.
Victoria refused to talk to her after THE INCIDENT.
It was a warm spring afternoon, Spencer and (Y/N) had the afternoon off, and they were at his apartment... heavily making out on the couch. That's why they lost track of time.
(Y/N) and Spencer had started dating a few months before. They had been in love with each other for years. Still, neither of them had acted on it until Rossi's birthday party, when they had a little too many drinks and finally confessed their feelings. They wanted to take things slow, but when you make out in front of the whole team, it might be a little harder imagined.
But they had decided to wait for the right time to tell Victoria. But, unfortunately, the right time didn't come soon enough.
- "Dad!! I'm home!!"- Victoria opened the front door and froze in shock at the scene going on in front of her. The twelve-year-old had asked her best friend's mother to drop her home earlier when Penelope told her Spencer had already gone home. In Garcia's defense, she had no idea what was going on in Reid's residence, and if she had known, she would have never let Victoria know her dad was home.
(Y/N) widened her eyes and quickly grabbed a pillow to cover herself. She was shirtless, sitting on Spencer's lap. She still had her bra on (thank god), but anyone could tell that scene was leading to the bedroom in a few seconds.
- "Shit!"- Spencer whispered and closed his eyes as he realized what was going on. (Y/N) held her breath as she stared into the young teen's eyes. Victoria didn't know what to do or what to say, so she simply ran to her room and slammed the door.
- "Ok... so I think Tori knows about us"- (Y/N) tried to ease the mood and smiled at her boyfriend as she put on her shirt. But Spencer sighed and covered his face with both hands- "Oh, come on. It doesn't have to be a bad thing. Let me talk to her."
- "No, (Y/N), let me talk to her first."- Spencer stood up and kissed (Y/N) 's nose- "I know she is mad, and I should be the one dealing with her anger."
Reid knew his daughter well enough to anticipate her behavior. People had often told him he could be a little passive-aggressive when he was upset. And his daughter was just like him.
- "Victoria, open the door!"- he said and waited a few seconds after knocking.
- "Go away!"- the teenager yelled, laying on her bed. She felt betrayed and confused. But most of all, she felt angry that her father had decided to have a girlfriend. He had no right to do such a thing. He had to take care of her and her grandma. No one else.
- "Victoria, we need to talk about this!"
- "You seemed too busy with your girlfriend to talk to me, dad. So go away!"
- "Victoria Marie!"- Spencer knocked on the door but got no answer from his daughter. (Y/N) heard it all from the couch and tried to think of a way to fix things with the young girl.
Sadly, it wasn't going to be easy, and in the months that followed, everything was far from being normal again.
- "I hate her!"- Victoria huffed and left her book aside. Spencer was trying to explain to her why (Y/N) would stay with her and Diana while he took a short work trip for the weekend. But the girl didn't want to hear a word about it.
- "You used to get along with her just fine until we started dating."- Spencer tried to dialogue with his daughter. Still, it was honestly getting harder and harder each time they touched the subject.
- "Used to. You just said it. I have the right to change my mind about people. Why can't I stay with auntie Penelope for the weekend?"
- "Because I want you to make an effort and try to get along with (Y/N) again. Victoria, we've been through this before. I love you, and that's not going to change just because I am dating (Y/N)."
- "This is so unfair! I hate you!!"
Spence tried to stay calm, but after over four-month having the same argument almost every day, he was losing it. Victoria stormed out and slammed her bedroom door behind her back. Maybe it was better not to push it, Spencer thought, defeated, and called Penelope to ask her if his daughter could spend the weekend with her, 'cos he had to travel. Maybe Victoria and (Y/N) weren't going to get along if he forced them to spend time together.
Everyone had already tried to talk to her about what was going on: JJ, Emily, Penelope. But Victoria wasn't ready to give in. She wanted to hate (Y/N), and nothing was going to change that. Or so she thought.
The day Penelope showed up in Victoria's school and announced her something had happened to her dad was engraved in the girl's memory forever as the worst day of her life. Her father had been arrested in Mexico, but Garcia had assured her, the whole team was working to bring him home safe. Meanwhile, she would stay with her in her apartment (she was already there anyway), and Diana would stay home with her nurse.
Victoria's heart was broken. She was basically alone in the whole world. Her father was her anchor. Her protector. Her superhero. Her best friend. And now, all of a sudden, he was gone, and though everybody told her it was going to be ok, she knew it wasn't.
- "Hey,"- (Y/N) walked into Penelope's office and found Victoria doing her homework- "Pen told me you were here, and I thought maybe you'd like one of these."
The young SSA said and handed the girl a box of fresh chocolate frosted with sprinkled donuts and a strawberry milkshake. Her favorites.
But Victoria didn't reply. Instead, she looked at (Y/N) right in the eyes, not moving a muscle, and then returned to her homework.
It had been two weeks since Spencer had been accused of murder, and he had been transferred to Virginia. But the team was far from solving the case.
- "Ok, Tori, please stop this. I know you don't like me dating your dad, but this is not the right time to fight. I know..."- (Y/N) made a short pause and took a deep breath before resuming her idea- "I know how you feel."
- "No. You don't."- Victoria Reid's voice was loud and clear, like thunder, hitting earth with anger. So clear, in fact, (Y/N) widened her eyes when she heard her.
- "You have no idea how I feel. Your dad ain't in jail accused of killing some woman in Mexico. You have no right to tell me that!"
- "My boyfriend and best friend in the whole world is in jail right now, and it doesn't matter if I work myself to death 18 hours every single fucking day; I still can't find the way to help him. I feel lost and alone, and most of all, scared, 'cos I've come to realize I have no idea how to live without him anymore. I'm guessing that's very close to what you feel."
(Y/N) poured her heart with complete honesty to her boyfriend's daughter, fighting the tears back, though you could feel the desperation in her voice. She didn't know if it would be of any use, but she had to take that from her chest. She missed Spencer so much she felt she was going insane. She had no idea what to do.
Victoria stared at her, furrowing her eyes and pouting. She didn't want to cry in front of (Y/N) 'cos she didn't want her trying to console her.
- "Just because you are dating him doesn't mean you have to take care of me. I can take care of myself."- Tori said and looked at the donut. She was hungry, they looked delicious, but the teenager didn't want to accept any gift coming from (Y/N).
- "I am not here because you are my boyfriend's daughter. I thought you were a cool kid way before I fell in love with him."- (Y/N) tried to calm herself down and sat across the table from Victoria- "And I am not trying to steal him from you. I just wanna... make him happy."
- "We were happy,"- the teenager's comeback was like a slap on (Y/N) 's face, but she did her best not to take it personally. She knew it was useless fighting with a teenager.
- "I have a visit scheduled for tomorrow. If you'd like, we could go together."
Tori held her breath. She hadn't seen her father since he left for Mexico. Of course, Victoria wanted to see him and hug him. It was all she wanted in the whole world. But... she didn't want to be friendly with (Y/N).
- "If I go... it doesn't mean I like you."- the young girl whispered.
- "I know"- (Y/N) nodded, feeling already triumphant.
- "And it doesn't mean I'm ok with you dating him."
- "I understand. I just know you miss him, Tori. I really know how you feel, and I'm gonna help you whenever I get a chance."- Victoria didn't answer; she just sighed and grabbed a donut. (Y/N) tried not to smile, feeling she had a small victory.
Spencer couldn't believe it when he saw his little girl waiting for him sitting next to (Y/N) instead of his lawyer in the small grey room. Victoria stood up and ran to him the second the door opened and wrapped her arms around her father as tight as possible.
(Y/N) looked at the guards, thankful neither of them had tried to stop the teenager.
Spencer kissed his daughter's cheek a few times and whispered how sorry he was to put her under those circumstances. He didn't know what to do or what to say. He was speechless. A part of him hated the idea of his daughter visiting him in jail, but he also missed her too much to argue with (Y/N) for bringing her over.
- "I'll go fill a few forms. Be right back"- (Y/N) whispered and saw Spencer's warm smile as he mouthed "Thank you," still hugging his daughter. She whispered, "I love you," and walked outside the room. She knew Victoria would appreciate a few minutes alone with her father, and she didn't want to take that away from them. She really wanted to make Spencer and Tori happy, and spending time together was what they needed.
- "I know this is hard, peanut, but we'll get through it. I'll be out in a few weeks. I promise"- Spencer held his daughter's hands as they sat across the table.
- "I miss you"- her voice was a soft whisper, as she kept trying not to cry anymore. She didn't want to make him feel guilty, sad, or anxious.
- "Me too. How are you? How is living with aunt Penelope going?"
- "Ok... we watch a lot of movies."
- "And school?"- Tori shrugged.
- "Ok, I guess."
- "Victoria..."
- "I got a C on my history paper."
- "Baby..."
- "I know, I know, I should have tried harder, but I really didn't want to do it."
Spencer was torn between lecturing his daughter for getting a bad grade and actually telling her it was ok, 'cos they were going through a rough patch. It was obvious she might get bad grades, all things considered.
- "I'm sorry I wasn't there to help you"- it was all Spencer managed to whisper.
- "Don't say that, dad. I'm sorry I slacked off."
- "You know, you could ask (Y/N) for help,"- Spencer suggested, but Tori just rolled her eyes, annoyed- "She has a master in the subject..."
- "Dad, please don't force me to talk to her."
- "I'm just saying... you don't have to be her best friend, just ask for help when needed, especially when it comes to school. Besides, it's clear she isn't a bad person if she brought you here today."
- "She just wants to win me over."- Tori mumbled and crossed her arms on her chest. But she knew her dad was right in one thing: (Y/N) had done a pretty good thing taking her to see her dad and letting them spend time together on their own.
Victoria thought she was losing her mind after three months had passed and her father was still in jail. It didn't matter that (Y/N) took her every Saturday morning to visit, played her favorite music, and bought her all the pastries she loved. She needed to live with her father again and do all the small things they loved: making breakfast together, playing scrabble, taking long walks in the park, eating ice cream. Tori even missed her father's annoying habits. She missed his rambling and how he always had an answer for everything, even for the things she didn't want to talk about with him.
Spencer was an amazing father, no questions asked, and Victoria Reid knew she couldn't ask for a better dad than him. She just wanted him back.
But things weren't going to improve soon.
When the team found out Diana Reid had been kidnapped, (Y/N) had to take a minute and lock herself in the bathroom to cry her heart out. She felt bad things were never going to cease, and she didn't want to tell Victoria. The girl had already been through so much, adding the abduction of her grandmother wasn't fair. Tori was just twelve. She shouldn't be going through all that.
- "Victoria?"
Prentiss decided she was going to be the one to tell the girl what was going on, and (Y/N) offered herself to look for her. She was in Rossi's office, reading a book curled on his comfy couch. That poor kid almost lived at the BAU by then.
- "My homework is done."- she replied, not taking her eyes from the page she was reading.
- "That's good. And what are you reading?"- Tori sighed and showed her the cover- "Something Wicked this way comes," I love that book"- (Y/N) smiled and took a look around.
- "Figured my father forced you to read it."
- "Actually, I read it when I was ten, and it's one of my favorite books."- (Y/N) looked at Victoria, but the teenager kept pretending to read, ignoring her- "Emily needs to talk to you."
- "And why are you here? Why didn't aunt Emily come? Are you her secretary?"- there was something about Victoria's attitude that reminded (Y/N) of Reid.
- "I wanted to see you, see how you were doing, and take you to the conference room"- Tori sighed and stood up. She hoped Emily had good news about her father, 'cos she was honestly going insane.
But of course, Prentiss didn't have any good news.
- "I'm sorry, Tori, but... you are going to have to stay here tonight"- the girl frowned, confused, and looked at the whole team around her. Everybody looked like they hadn't slept in days. Which, by the way, was very accurate.
- "Why?"
- "'Cos we are going to have to..."- Emily paused and held her breath, staring at her niece's eyes.- "I'm sorry, Tori, but this is the truth: the woman who framed your father has kidnapped Diana, and I'm scared she might try to get you too. So until we catch her, the safest place to be is here, at the BAU. With us."
Tori gasped and covered her mouth with both hands as tears filled her eyes in a second.
- "Nana? Is she ok?"
- "We don't know yet, but we are working to bring her home safe as soon as possible"- JJ caressed Tori's arm and tried to hold her, but she pushed her away mad frowned.
- "You keep saying that, you keep telling me you are working to bring my family home safe, but so far, you haven't done anything!! I am still alone! Dad is in jail, and everybody knows he is innocent! And now nana is gone too!!"
- "Baby, we know it is hard, but..."- Emily wanted to explain to Victoria everything was more complex than they had expected, but the girl covered her ears and shook her head, yelling as she stormed out of the room
- "I don't wanna hear you!! I want my dad!!"
It was painful to hear those things, 'cos the team was doing the best they could for Reid and his family, but they could understand the frustration and, most of all, the fear that little girl felt.
- "I'll talk to her,"- (Y/N) said and turned to Emily- "You guys continue what you were doing. I'll try to calm her down."
- "Are you sure you wanna go?"- Emily asked and cut (Y/N) a short smile.
- "Yeah, for once, she is mad at all of us, not just me."
The young SSA walked to Garcias's office, where Tori was hidden underneath a desk, crying.
- "Hey."
- "Leave me alone."
- "I know I'm the last person you wanna be with right now, and I am sorry I can't do anything to make you feel better. I can only promise you this: we are doing all we can to bring your dad and your grandmother back home safe." - (Y/N) whispered as she walked slowly towards the girl, who sobbed, whipping off the tears from her eyes.
- "Just leave me alone. I want to be alone,"- Tori mumbled and wrapped her arms around herself, sobbing.
- "I'm not gonna leave you alone, Tori. You are not alone here with us."
- "I am alone!! I want my daddy!! I need my daddy!!"- the girl continued crying her eyes out, hidden underneath the desk. (Y/N) kneeled next to her and sat on the floor.
- "Come here"- it was a bold move, 'cos (Y/N) knew the girl was going to reject her, but she didn't care. She couldn't deal with her sadness, and it scared her to think how bad the child was feeling. So, (Y/N) opened her arms and moved the teen closer to her.
Surprisingly, the girl didn't reject her. Instead, she cried against the fabric of (Y/N) 's sweater and sobbed, shaking, as (Y/N) caressed her hair carefully.
- "I swear, we are not gonna rest until he is free and until Diana is home."
- "I want my family back,"- Victoria mumbled and sighed.
- "You'll get it. I swear, I'll do everything I can to bring them back to you."
That was the first time since (Y/N) started dating Spencer that Victoria let her close. In the middle of the mess they were all lost into, it felt like a little break of peace. Another small victory for the young woman.
(Y/N) didn't mind spending the whole night awake going through an endless pile of files if it meant there was a chance to bring Spencer back home. Tori stayed in Rossi's office, where she made something that looked pretty much like a fort on the couch, with blankets and pillows, to hide from the rest of the world.
It was heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time, looking at the girl hidden there, trying to read, trying to draw, trying to do anything to take her mind from reality. Penelope brought her something to eat, but she rejected it, saying she wasn't hungry. Emily and JJ had tried to talk to her, but Tori kindly said she wanted to be alone. Even Morgan had called her and announced to her he was taking a plane from Chicago to help the team looking for Diana.
None of that cheered Victoria up.
- "I bought you this,"
Around ten, (Y/N) opened Rossi's door and walked in, holding a box of frosted chocolate donuts with sprinkles.
- "They always cheer your dad up, so I'm counting they will do the trick with you too"- the young woman tried to joke but found Victoria crying quietly insider her fort.
- "Please, just leave me alone,"- she whispered and hid her face with both her hands. (Y/N) didn't pay attention and sat with her inside the fort.
- "Not a chance."
- "I really don't wanna do this now, just leave me alone,"- the girl sighed, defeated, and continued crying.
- "Come here, I told you, you are not alone."
- "I am alone, (Y/N)! My dad is in jail, my grandma is kidnapped, and my mother left me 'cos she didn't love me!"
- "No, baby, don't say that"- (Y/N) wrapped her arms around Tori and kissed the top of her head.
- "I know my mom didn't want to have me, and maybe she was right... maybe I am cursed, and all this is my fault."
- "Victoria Marie Reid, you are talking senseless" (Y/N) held the girl's shoulder and looked into her eyes.
- "You are an adorable young girl who deserves the best in the world. Why did this happen? I don't know, bad shit happens in life, and we must try to learn something from it. That's it. There's no reason or cause. Shit happens, baby, but we must raise stronger than before. You are an incredible young girl, and I know your dad is proud of you. I am proud of you, 'cos you've been so courageous and brave."
- "You are just saying that 'cos you are with my dad."
- "No. I would say that even if I hated your dad. You know why? 'Cos I am not lying, you are awesome, and I love you, get that into your head. And you are not alone, 'cos I am here, see?"- (Y/N) ran her thumb on Tori's cheek, whipping off a few of her tears- "I'm here even when you don't want me to be, so I don't know if you can tell, but you are doomed, you can't get rid of me now. I'm like a disease, but a good one... I don' know if there's a good disease. I'm sure your dad would have the answer for my random comment right now."
Both Victoria and (Y/N) chuckled at the same time, and the girl nodded.
- "He definitely would..."
- "He would also lecture me why I shouldn't give you sugar after dinner, but he is not here, and I am not telling him, so please don't tell him 'cos he is going to be mad at me... and at you."- (Y/N) handed Tori the box of donuts, and the girl smiled.
- "I won't tell him."
- "Great, we have our own little sugary secret. Eat all the donuts you want; I'm going to be with the team in the conference room. Emily has a meeting early morning with the judge."- (Y/N) kissed the top of Vitoria's head and stood up.
- "If you need anything, I'm across the hall."- the SSA said, and the girl nodded, chewing a donut.
- "Thank you, (Y/N)"
By the next day, the miracle had happened. Victoria couldn't stop crying when (Y/N) announced she was taking Spencer back home. Tori stood in front of his father's girlfriend and felt how the tears filled her eyes in less than a minute. Happy tears, for once.
(Y/N) smiled at her, glad to know the young girl was going to have her life back. It surprised her when Tori hugged her, wrapping her arms around her tight. (Y/N) stayed still for an instant, trying to understand what was happening. She hugged Victoria and kissed the top of her head. The child was crying, and suddenly, so was she. The nightmare was over. At least a part of it. They still needed to find Diana. But the fact they were going to have Reid back was already giving everybody the peace of mind they needed to finish the task.
(Y/N) held Spencer's hand tight all the way from the prison to the BAU. He kept his eyes locked on their hands, fingers tangled together. He couldn't believe it was actually happening. He couldn't believe he was a free man.
- "How's Tori?"- he whispered and turned to his girlfriend. Penelope and Luke were in the car with them, but somehow, Spencer could only register the presence of his girlfriend. Not because he didn't care about his friends, but because he could only take just a small amount of information at the time. It was all too much for him at that moment.
- "Good. She has been incredibly strong."
- "Did you tell her about mom?"- Spencer was afraid to ask but needed to know what was going on with his daughter. (Y/N) nodded and sighed.
- "We decided it was better if she knew what was happening, we had to keep her at the BAU, and she was going to get suspicious she couldn't go to Penelope's... sorry."
- "Don't be. You did what was best for her."- Spencer turned to his girlfriend and smiled at her for a second. It was a short, sweet smile. Almost shy. But it was enough to warm her heart and wake the butterflies in her stomach. She was so in love with Spencer Reid, everything he did fluster her.
Victoria thought her heart was about to burst as he waited for her father to arrive. Spencer looked at (Y/N) one last time, and she squeezed his hand kindly, smiling when the elevator door opened, and all he heard was:
- "Daddy!!"- Tori yelled and ran to hug Spencer as soon as she saw him. He couldn't even step out of the elevator when his daughter nearly tackled him, wrapping her arms around him tight.
- "My baby!"- he whispered and spun her in the air a few times- "Are you ok?"- he held her face with both hands and took a good look at her. She was crying but smiling as she nodded.
- "I'm so happy to see you, dad."
- "I missed you so, so much"- Spencer kissed the top of her head and sighed. (Y/N) smiled, and whipped off the tears from her eyes as she stared at the scene. Garcia and Luke stood next to her, enjoying a brief moment of happiness and peace.
- "Me more,"- Victoria whispered and hugged Spencer again- "I swear I'm never going to fight with you again."
- "I'm taking a mental note of that,"- he answered and felt her body shaking as she giggled. Spencer hadn't heard his daughter laugh, giggle, or even watched her smile in the three months he had spent away from her. And that sound was sweet and warm, like a balm to his soul.
- "I'm sorry, Spencer... but, we have to..."- Emily interrupted the moment and smiled at her friend. They all knew they still had to do one more thing before celebrating. They had to take Diana Reid back home safe and sound. Victoria let her father go and smiled at him.
- "I love you, dad."
- "I love you too, princess."
And as the team walked to the conference room to brief Spencer about the case and update him with the latest information, (Y/N) felt someone hold her hand.
- "Thank you,"- Victoria whispered and cut her a smile that warmed her heart.
- "Come here,"- she answered and turned around to wrap her arms around her for a second. Spencer looked at them, and for once, he didn't know what to say. Victoria and (Y/N) just stood in the middle of the hall, hugged for a few minutes, and Reid couldn't believe it. It was so heartwarming and emotional; he really didn't know how to react.
- "Come on, dad!! You are going to miss the movie!"- Victoria yelled and set the popcorn on the coffee table.
- "You can pause it!"- Spencer yelled from his desk, where he was finishing writing a letter for his mother.
- "Or you can hurry!"- Tori answered and sat on the couch.
- "Here's your tea, your highness"- (Y/N) walked to the girl holding a tray filled with cups and more snacks- "Come on, honey! We are not waiting for you!"
Three months after prison and life had never been so good for Spencer, Victoria, and (Y/N).
- "I had never seen you so eager to watch a Marvel movie, since when are you two fans of Thor?"- Spencer walked to the living room, hearing his girlfriend and daughter laugh.
- "Always, huge fan."- (Y/N) smiled and tapped on the couch. Reid sat between his two women and sighed.
- "I can smell the sarcasm in the air."
- "No, honey. We love Thor, right Tori?"
- "Yes! Big fans, huge, the biggest fans"- Spencer looked at his daughter and raised an eyebrow.
- "Ok, I'll buy it. Let's watch the movie."
(Y/N) and Tori giggled at the very same moments like they were sharing a secret joke Spencer couldn't understand, but he didn't really matter. He was happy, his heart was content, and there was nothing more perfect that minute, 'cos his family was all on the same couch, watching a movie, enjoying an afternoon together. Like he had always dreamt of.

So warm and tender
Tony Stark x Daughter!reader
A/n: Hello! finally the last part of Ember. I hope you guys like it and sorry for making y’all wait so long for the confrontation lol)
Tumblr media
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Y/n’s POV
“Aunt Pam?!” you say in shock as you stop struggling against the vine wrapped around your body.
“Y/n, is it really you?” your aunt said as the vine loosened its grip and gently lowered you on the ground. “ Where have you been? Everyone has been going crazy looking for you”
You don’t answer as you look at your aunt. You didn’t realise you missed her as much as you did but now all you want to do is throw yourself in her arms. So you did.Pam, sensing you needed comfort rather than an interrogation, wrapped her arms around you. “I missed so much my Petal.”
With those five words, all the hurt and pain you bottled up came out. and you cried.
As you cried, your aunt looked at the girl she hasn’t seen in eight years, and wondered what she’s been going through and if she did the right thing by giving you to your father all those years ago.
“Petal, I think you need to explain what’s going on”
You look up and sniff, “ Yeah, i think an explanation is well in order.” and you tell her everything. From the years of being ignored by your father, your last argument, the two weeks you spent in captivity, and your new powers.
“ And that’s when I found you.” You finish looking at the grim faces of Pam and the other woman, who now that you think about it looks really familiar.
“Oh, you poor puddin’!” you found your face being squished between two ands and then you were comically pressed against a body in a tight hug.
“Don’tcha worry bout a thing, me and Pammy will take care of everything, you just sit here and---”  This seems familiar...
“ Harley, I don’t think she can breathe.” “Oh right, now you remember, it the blonde woman who used to sneak into the apartment”. You think to yourself as you struggle to get loose from her grip. You hear someone snicker and see Danny looking at the commotion.
“ Shut up Danny, where have you been?” You say, forgetting that you’re the only one who can see him.
“Exploring, do you thing she could hug me like that too?”
“ If you weren’t already dead, I’m sure they would kill you for that comment”
Pam and Harley look at each other in concern as it seems like you’re talking to yourself.
“ Hey kid, if you’re gonna talk to yourself, try an’ do it when other people can’t see you, like me.”  The blonde says as if someone talking to themselves was a daily occurrence for her.  You explain that with your powers, you were basically dead and can speak and see other dead people. Hearing that, Pam’s expression darkened
“He let you die?” she said in a grim tone. All the vines and plants in the room started whipping around angrily as if they were looking for the person who wronged you. It was then when you realized it wasn’t your Auntie Pam who taught you how to plant petunias you were looking at, this was Poison Ivy.
“ Men, you can never trust em’. Well, whadda say little flower, ya up for a little premeditated murder?” and that was the infamous Harley Quinn.
“ It would’ve been nice to know that you’re related to scary criminals y/n....” Danny said in a fearful voice. And if you were being honest you just found out that your aunt Pam was also the Poison Ivy but to be fair you haven’t seen her since you were like eight.
“I don’t want to kill him” you finally say. “ I don’t want anything to do with him. Nor his precious Spiderling.” The plants calm down as Ivy calmed down and was your aunt Pam again. “ What do you want to do?” she asks.
You think to yourself and say,” I want him to know how he made me feel, and then I want to stay with you.”  Your aunt and Harley froze when you said that.
“Petal, there is nothing I want more than for you to stay with me again,” She started, “ But it isn’t safe for you to stay.” Your eyes started to water
“But I-I have powers now, I can defend myself! I won’t be any trouble, it’ll be like I’m not even here” At this point, anything was better than going back to being invisible. “Please...I don’t want to go back...”
Hearing the desperation in your voice broke Pams, Harleys, and Danny's heart. Pam because this was the daughter of her closest friend. She vowed to protect you from anything the day you came to her after losing your mother. Seeing you like this just reminded her how she, in her mind, has failed you. Seeing you so desperate to get away from the man who broke your heart reminded Harley of herself. The nights she would sneak into the tiny apartment you shared with Pammy, in hopes of escape only to get drawn back with empty promises. So yeah, she had a small soft spot for you. And Danny, you were the only person who saw him after months of being invisible. He felt like he needed to help you in your mission to get your father regret ignoring you.
“Hey Pammy...maybe we should call him...” Harley started to suggest.
“NO, I’d rather drink weed killer than go to that...orphan collector for help.” the red head spat. “ No. We’ll figure it out but she can stay here for now.”
Hearing that you had a place to call home now, gave you the motivation to go and confront your father. Not only for ignoring you, but for leaving you in that..cell for two weeks. He didn’t even attempt to look for you as far as you knew. You’d have thought at least one of the other Avengers would have came to save you. But no one came. After all those years, no one came.
“Y/n.. your eyes” Danny whispered, his cold hand touching your arm snapped you out of your mind. The neon glow of your eyes faded to your normal e/c.
“ Aunt Pam, Harley is there any way you guys can get me to New York and back?” You ask, finally ready to confront your father.
“ Well....” Harley say as with a smirk
~~~~~~~~~one terrifying ride on a stolen batplane later~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Upon arriving to New York you made Pam and Harley wait a few blocks away from the tower, as you really didn’t want the Avengers to find out your aunt was a wanted criminal. You “went ghost” as Danny like to call it and snuck into the Tower with ease. You then snuck into your room, seeing everything covered in a layer of dust as no one has been in there for over two weeks. You packed a bag and filled it with some clothes, books and a picture of you and your mother. You took that bag and walked to the door, looking around at the room that was both you prison and safe space. It was decorated with multiple trophies, medals, and ribbons all from the multiple sports and clubs you joined to impress your father. Not like that ever happened. Danny wander around looking at the multiple teams photos you had hung up.
“ You’re a volleyball girl?” he said, “ Huh. I’d never have had guessed.”
You rolled your eyes as you finished packing. “ Hey I have a job for you.” you say turning to him. “ I need you to go to the control room and turn off the power for thirty minutes. Then turn it back on and come find me in the common room.”
“ Yes ma’am” Danny says, saluting and disappearing through the wall before he comes back. “Ummm, wheres the control room?”
You roll your eyes and explain how to get to the control room and wait. When the lights go out and you’ll make your move. Your father would have to pass through the common room to get to the control room from his lab, which you assume he’ll be. There you’ll be waiting for him.
The lights go out. It’s showtime.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tony's POV
The team spent three more days searching for you. They followed every lead and half of the team even flew out to the building that collapsed an hour ago. Tony, Steve, and Natasha stood behind to look at more clues. It was a little past midnight, and both Steve and Natasha went to bed leaving Tony to tinker in his lab. Tony was making improvements to a certain spider suit as he thought about what his daughter said to him before she went missing.
“Sir, there seems to be someone in Y/--” FRIDAY started to say when the power cut out.
“FRIDAY??” Tony questioned as he walked out to check the control room, making sure to get his nano bracelet just incase. As he walked down the hallway he thought about waking up Steve and if he was brave enough to wake Natasha when he heard it.
“Hi daddy.”
Tony stopped dead in his tracks as he looked up in disbelief. The lights turned back on to reveal his daughter. Wearing a black halter top, spandex leggings, grey boots with elbow length gloves. She looked skinny, as if she hadn’t had a proper meal in the weeks she was gone. And for some reason the air was cold in the room. But there she stood.
‘Y/n” Tony said breathlessly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Y/n pov
As you wait for Tony to walk in,you look around the common room and reminisce. You think about the time when you first moved in, and you got lost trying to find the bathroom and accidently walked into Natashas room. YOu thought she was going to kill you but ended up walking you to the restroom and back to your room. Or when you made the volleyball team way back in eighth grade, and you ran home to tell your dad but ended up telling the whole team, who were rarely all together, and they all took you out to get ice cream, minus Tony. You had to admit, even though your dad didn’t pay attention to you, Nat and Steve did. As well as the whole team, but those two really became the parental figures in your life. That’s why it hurt when not even they came for you. Even they had forgotten you.
“Hi daddy” you said in a mocking voice. Your father stopped dead in his tracks, as he looked you over in disbelief.
“Y/n”, he said in a breathless voice.
“Oh, you remember my name?” You say in an sarcastic tone. “ Didn’t seem like you did when you left me in a hydra cell for two weeks.”
Hearing that you were a prisoner of Hydra made Tony’s blood freeze.
“Hydra? Oh Y/N are you okay? What did they do to you?” He asked frantically as he walk towards you with the intent of checking if you were injured. You jerk away from him, avoiding his touch and say
“ Oh, I’m wonderful. Just so fucking fantastic. I was just experimented on and injected with various liquids that caused excruciating pain. No big deal”
“ Y/n..we spent days trying to look for you. Me and the team--”
“You and the team what Tony? I was there for two weeks. TWO WEEKS I WAS POKED AND PRODDED. I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO DIE.” You scream, anger filling your heart as you remember the agony you went through. You think about the scratches on the wall of the cells, the taunts from the guards, and screams of the undead.
“ You have no idea what I went through. What I’m going through.” You say, feeling your body grow colder as you lose control and start to shift. “ You don’t care about me. If I were Parker, you would have saved mem within SECONDS.”
“That's not true. Y/N you have no idea how much I love you.” Tony tries to say. He’s filled with the need to tell you everything he didn’t tell you before. “I know I haven’t always been the best father. Trust me I know that now. But if you give me a chance, I want to make everything right. Please.”
You didn’t think it would go like this. In fact you were not at all prepared for Tony to say this. You expected to walk in on him continuing his life as normal, tinkering in his lab and such. You had always yearned to hear him say those words to you. But now, they just fill you with anger.
“You think you could just tell me what I want to hear and what? I’ll just act like nothing happened?? I know you’re not that stupid.” You spit, the room growing colder as you get angrier. “ It’s too late for all that Tony. I’m not the same girl i was two weeks ago.i won;t take it any longer.”
“Y/n..your eyes” Tony says as he slowly starts to put his gauntlet bracelet on, realising that you are becoming a threat.
“ Oh do you like them?”, You ask “ This is what happened when they injected me. I can also do this.” You shift, shades of blue taking over brown skin. Tony stared at you in awe and a bit of fear.
“ Y/n this isn’t you. I know you’re angry but--” “ Isn’t me?” You interrupt.” You don’t know me. You don’t know what I’m like. And even if you did the old me died in that cell. Literally I died” You and Tony stared at each other. and that's when you heard the doors open. Two sets of footsteps started rushing to the commotion.
“Y/N some red head and beefy blonde are on their way” You hear Danny say as you realize you had to wrap it up. If anyone can convince you to stay, it’s Steve and Nat.
“ It doesn’t matter anymore Tony.” you say as you start walking to the window. “ I can’t stay here anymore. There’s nothing for me. You win. Peter can be the child you always wanted cause from now on, consider me dead.” and with that, you phase threw the window and let yourself fall, knowing that you won’t actually fall as you can fly.
Tony freaks out and calls for his suit, only to see a blue blur shoot up and across the sky. Then he just sits there and stares. The footsteps reach the common room and he hears someone ask
“ Stark..what was all the yelling. What's going on?”
“she's gone” He says, and that's when he truly realizes his mistake. He became what he never wanted to become. He became his father. And now you were gone.

lost & found // Diluc x Reader (2/3)
Word Count: ~5.0k
Notes: GN!Reader, Seelie!Reader, Diluc/Reader, includes more Mondstadt people interaction such as Klee, Albedo, and Kaeya, see why I had to split it into 3 parts now
Summary: Despite being a seelie, you and Diluc are inseparable. You aren't sure what you are or why you are here, but you know for certain you want to be wherever Diluc is through every adventure and misadventure. (And throughout it all, you get closer and closer to him.)
Alternatively: The two of you lose and find each other over and over again.
[Part 1] [Part 3]
.
.
You are satisfied with your life as a seelie, being Diluc’s partner in vigilante justice as the Darknight Hero (though when he goes out as the Darknight Hero, you’re usually hiding underneath his coat, all cozied up) and being able to spend your days by his side. Most days you are content without the answers to the questions of your origins or why you are different because Diluc accepts you for what you are regardless, as his radar for trouble and as his trusted companion.
It is only on the days where Diluc does not speak to you, burdened by the emotions of his past, withdrawing into himself at the familiarity of solitude, that you wish you are not what you are. There is very little you can offer in terms of comfort when compared to the warm arms and reassuring kisses of another person, but you make do with what you have.
You nuzzle into the crook of his neck in a semblance of a hug, and, though it takes a few tries to have Diluc understand what you were doing, your light touches to his forehead are the kisses you bestow upon him whenever his spirits are low.
“...Thank you,” he says to you when you lightly brush onto his temple, smiling when you twirl in the air, happy to have him receive your affections with full translation. He chuckles. “Would you like me to do the same for you?”
The squeaks of surprised embarrassment that follows make him laugh, and you imagine if you could speak, you wouldn’t be able to say anything of coherence with how equally flustered and pleased you feel. You don’t want to conflate any of his gestures, but you think that Diluc’s ability to tease you is a testament to how close you have gotten, even though his remarks make you feel giddy.
(If anyone else were in the vicinity they would think to themselves how rare that they see Master Diluc laughing so easily, though this is a thought that would not have crossed your mind considering this is a Diluc you have always seen. He is more youthful, less burdened, when he is near you. Is it because you are a seelie or is it because he is not bound by expectations when you have only known him for who he is?)
His ability to understand you and his unwavering trust in you despite your inability to do many things is something that you cherish. As such, you find ways to help Diluc wherever you can: temporarily swallowing small items to bring to him, being a literal light in the dark, and caring for his well-being wherever you can. The next time Kaeya drops by the tavern, stating something about treasure hoarders, a big expedition, and something about Dragonspine, he drops off a young girl about eight years old who introduces herself as Klee, and you find yourself in a new position as a babysitter.
And you are happy to glow, squeak, and fly in different shapes to make Klee laugh. You would be lying to yourself if her laughter didn’t make you happy, but it’s in addition to the fact that Diluc can finally rely on you. The grateful glances he keeps giving you over the shoulder when he caters to the tavern guests is invigorating. And if the tavern weren’t so well-lit, Klee would be able to see how you glow brighter in response to your emotions.
As perfect as Diluc may be (no, you are not biased), you find that you are surprisingly better at handling Klee. It’s not as though Diluc is completely helpless-- he responds to Klee’s questions just fine, speaking to her more as though she were an adult than a kid. You think Klee likes it for how she eagerly nods despite not understanding what Diluc is saying. It's just, for once, you may have an advantage because you are a seelie, and Klee absolutely adores you simply for existing. It’s a lot easier to entertain and play with her as a glowing ball of light than as a tavern-keeper, but you consider this a win anyways because you can finally help Diluc in a way that matters, considering the look of relief he shoots you when you’re able to distract her.
Your role as a babysitter goes well… until it doesn’t.
"It was nice playing with you, little seelie!" Klee chimes cheerfully. You coo at her, right up till the point she says, "Let's play another time, okay?"
Where are you going? You squeak, flying in front of Klee as she packs up her things. You nervously look at Diluc, hoping he can see you with how you flash your light like a siren, but his back is turned.
Klee only giggles. "Do you want to come with me too? Let's go!" She says, bounding out the door with terrifying timing when everyone's too distracted to stop her. You watch with growing horror as she runs with arms outstretched into the streets of Mondstadt, and you only have a split second to decide to follow after her before losing her completely. (In retrospect, perhaps it would have been better to tell Diluc, considering how little you could do as a seelie, but you forget that at times, especially in moments like these.)
You follow Klee, glancing around nervously for any roaming hilichurl or abyss mage. Miraculously, the two of you don't run into any enemies, though you did urge her to go around the path when you spot a few of them walking toward you. This is out of my pay grade, you think warily, and if you had a heart still, it would be beating rapidly with the self-contained panic every time you narrowly miss a confrontation with an unsavory crowd.
When Klee leads you into Dragonspine, which you now know to be a snowy terrain whose chill is cold enough to make you shiver, you want to cry. Where are you going? You want to ask, Why are we here? You watch as Klee picks a random direction to go in, and you can only follow her, twirling around sources of heat at every opportunity so that she knows where she can stay warm.
Having Diluc here would be nice, you think, as you float next to the orange seelie that radiates warmth much like a campfire. The fires Diluc would light easily if he were here, the warmth he would exude for how hot pyro users run... You think warily that you're going to make him worry again, having disappeared with Klee, but for some reason, you feel reassured that he'll find you again eventually.
It is many minutes traveling in Dragonspine when Klee puts a finger to her lip and asks you, "Do you think you can find my big brother?"
Here you are, following Klee this entire time, only to find out you are both lost. Next time, you think to yourself, as Klee describes her big brother Albedo and you quietly listen, no matter how Diluc looks at you, you don't think you can ever accept being a babysitter ever again.
(When you're attacked by hilichurls, you think of distracting them as Klee runs to safety, but then she throws literal explosives at them to defeat them soundly and you think that at least there is one less thing to worry about.)
.
.
.
You let your instinct take the lead this time, as something within you pulls in a certain direction. Asides from the basic investigative skills (footsteps here, disturbed bush there), it is a miracle that you lead Klee to the encampment that Albedo had set up for his experiments in Dragonspine. It's not as though the path was particularly hard to traverse, but it did take some backtracking and maneuvering around Fatui camps (will Diluc end up fighting them looking for you, you wonder). You breathe a sigh of relief when you see Klee leap up to hug the blond, doe-eyed alchemist whose eyes widen at her arrival.
“Kl-Klee? How did you get here?” Albedo stammers, looking over her before landing on you. You simply twirl in the air in greeting, and the alchemist can only blink. (You never realize this, but this is one of the very rare moments Albedo is ever flustered-- courtesy of Klee.)
Klee goes on a long monologue about you as well as the adventure to get here, Albedo nodding in understanding ever so often, when you hear the crunch of snow behind you. Your mood lifts along with your body as you recognize the familiar tuft of red hair against the whitest of snow.
“There you are,” Diluc says, setting down his broadsword. He sounds out-of-breath, most likely weary from the fact the two of you disappeared and from the climb to get to Dragonspine. You glow immediately from his evident relief, and you race to him, nuzzling into his neck in an affectionate hug to which he immediately responds by brushing the back of his gloved hand onto you.
How did you find me again? You ask, easily sitting on the hand Diluc offers you.
“Kaeya told me that Albedo was in Dragonspine,” he explains. “Knowing Klee, this was the first place I thought to go to, and I know you wouldn’t let yourself split off from her.”
You nod sagely, though that line of thought would have made sense to anyone who generally knew Mondstadt geography. You look up at Diluc in confusion when he pets you.
“I would have found you anyway,” he says softly, “even if you weren’t together.” You feel yourself grow warm. “I’ll always find a way to find you.”
(Even in this snow? You wonder, even in this frigid wonderland? Through the driest of deserts and coldest of oceans? And you can imagine that if you had asked him this, he would have said ‘yes,’ though that was just what you hoped.)
You coo softly, flying up to gently press your face to his cheek in a gentle kiss, and the smile that Diluc gives you, you think, should be warm enough to melt even the snow on Dragonspine.
.
.
.
.
When the wind grows harsh in the changing of times, you find flowers of blue and white hidden amongst the fields of grass. And when Stormterror abandons his domain, you lead Diluc to a red, crystalline teardrop that neither of you can touch without protection. You thank the stars Diluc is not a man to shy away from danger, especially when it pertains to the safety of Mondstadt, because he follows you wherever you lead him-- finding teardrop after teardrop scattered across lands festered with monsters.
(“It’s a well-kept secret, despite the way he acts,” Diluc says, leaning on his propped-up arm by the fireplace. He huffs in laughter when you trill-- my lips are sealed!-- and the two of you would watch the embers slowly die out. )
It has become more and more evident as time goes on that you are more than you appear. Your small size and dedication to following Diluc are already indicative of your unique nature as a seelie. What makes you particularly distinct is your penchant to find things or people that many would consider strange. Even before you found these objects, being able to find the elusive Venti would be indicative enough. You don't know what was so strange of him besides his eternally youthful appearance and talent of disappearing into the wind (you thought that was just what people could do, okay?) until Diluc tells you of his godly origins one late night in the winery.
Your proclivity for the unique is something that does not go unnoticed by Albedo.
“I would greatly appreciate being able to tag along on your next journey. I’m very interested in seeing what you, as a seelie, can do,” Albedo tells you. When you meekly titter in Diluc’s direction, Albedo raises his hands reassuringly. “Ah. Don’t be nervous. It’s quite alright if you don’t lead us to anything. It’s all part of the process. Klee has told me much of what you can do, and I’m simply interested in learning more about you, as special as you are.”
Diluc looks to you, waiting for your response as you float in the air, pondering. You cock your head to the side, and he only shrugs, answering the nonverbal question you shoot at him.
“You’re the guide. It’s up to you,” he says, and that is all you need to look back at Albedo (who has been observing everything thus far with keen eyes) and bob yourself up and down in agreement.
“We can meet at Windrise in one week’s time,” Diluc says to Albedo.
Albedo nods, taking one last look at you before pushing himself off the tavern stool, ending the conversation until next week-- that is if Kaeya were not there.
“You aren’t planning to go on an adventure without me, are you?” He says, and Diluc can only sigh.
.
.
The week passes quickly and the four of you (Diluc reluctantly allowing Kaeya to accompany the three of you) meet up at the Statue of the Seven near Windrise. You prove yourself once again when you lead Diluc, Kaeya, and Albedo on an off-trail route to Daudapa Gorge. They all follow you, climbing up the cliffside, until you lead them to an unusual hilichurl of blue hair and a talisman on its mask. To keep with the consistency of your battle-filled wanderlust, the unusual hilichurl starts throwing items-- some of which you can recognize from your previous(?) life and some of which you’ve never even seen before. The barrage of things is incessant until fire, ice, and bursting flowers make him escape into his suitcase, leaving behind strange four-pointed stars that glimmer for a moment before disappearing, much to Albedo’s disappointment.
The silence that follows after the oddest encounter you have ever led Diluc to is deafening. You can’t even bear to turn your body to face Diluc who you know is looking at you with a (fondly) exasperated expression. “Trying to outdo yourself every week, aren’t you?” He asks, and if you could, you know that you would be blushing.
Kaeya makes it a point to make your embarrassment worse, as he often likes doing. (You know Kaeya shows his affection through teasing remarks, but oh, what you wouldn’t do to be able to retort back to him once without Diluc having to come to your rescue.) “Your mini seelie finds a lot of strange things, don’t they?” He says, giving you a cat-nipped smile when you bristle and squeak. “Maybe the seelie thinks you’re strange Diluc. Maybe that’s why it follows you around--”
“Shut up, Kaeya.”
“That’ll cost you, you know.”
You watch the two bicker back and forth in a manner that is now very familiar to you, not noticing the alchemist observing you in the background.
“I’d like to test something if that’s alright with you.” Albedo suddenly says to you. “Nothing painful,” he reassures you, even though you hadn’t said a word. “I’ll simply be asking you to do your best to find Master Diluc to test a theory of mine.”
Why Diluc? You wonder.
“Why me?” Diluc repeats your thoughts. “I didn’t realize we would still be under observation after this one journey.” You think Diluc sounds testy-- in a manner that is unlike whenever Kaeya drops by his tavern and more like when fire abyss mages show up on your path. You are alarmed, unsure why you feel the tension rise despite Albedo’s unbothered demeanor.
And while Diluc would never thank Kaeya for his quick wit and way with words, you definitely would, especially when he jumps into the conversation with an easy lilt to his voice to de-escalate the situation (for once). “A-ha, worried that your time with your precious companion is being encroached upon, Master Diluc?” He teases, “Or perhaps you’re afraid you’ll be separated from your precious seelie?”
“Kaeya--”
“Your relationship with your seelie is unique, just as your seelie and its abilities are unique,” Albedo interjects before Diluc could pull out his greatsword. “I’d like to qualitatively and quantitatively define them, if possible.”  He pauses, addressing you directly. “I thought this would prove fruitful for you as well if you were ever wondering what your... purpose is, as one might say.”
How rare it is to have an opportunity like this just fall into your metaphorical hands, you think. You are interested in knowing more about yourself. It wouldn’t change much about how you want to stay with Diluc, but there is a sense of peace knowing what you can and cannot do. In Albedo, you see a man of science through-and-through (even though he evidently defies the laws of transmutation you learned from a certain anime). He sees things for what they are, always addressing you when he wants to talk to you, and recognizing that you can speak for yourself. In some ways, he is no different from Diluc, who has never demanded you to be more than what you are as his companion.
If you decide to do something, Diluc respects your decision-- which is why he only watches you quietly as you croon in agreement. You glance over at Diluc to wait for his consent as well, and he can only sigh. (You don’t know it, but he cannot say ‘no’ to you.)
“I have one condition.” When Albedo nods, Diluc continues, “We do nothing to put them in danger. Is that clear?”
“Crystal,” Albedo says immediately, and you almost miss what he says next, as distracted as you are by how Diluc comes closer to you almost protectively. “I’ll converse with you to let you know what you’ll be doing, but there should be no harm done to anyone during this experiment. How does the day after tomorrow sound?”
.
.
.
Diluc heads to Dragonspine without you, for what feels to be the first time in forever. Now that you think about it, has Diluc ever been separated from you the same way you have been separated from him? Even though you’re the seelie, he’s always the one finding you-- have you ever needed to find him?
You want to be able to find Diluc as flawlessly as Diluc can do for you. You want to know, and you especially want Diluc to know that you will always be able to return to him no matter what. Succeeding in this self-given trial of yours will provide definitive proof whether or not you can. With that thought in mind as you float up the slopes of Dragonspine, you think there’s a lot more at stake after all.
You titter nervously when you find Albedo in his camp, and when he spots you, he waves you over as he prepares for the journey with you. “I told your companion to get a headstart,” he says to you. “I won’t know where he’s gone either, so it’s a double-blind experiment. Feel free to use any way you see fit to find him and I’ll follow you.”
You nod dutifully, and when he does nothing else but follow your movement with his eyes, you realize that those were the only instructions you were given. Find Diluc, you think to yourself. Should you start to conjure an image of him in your mind to guide you? That was easy enough to do: half-lidded red eyes that soften when he sees you, red hair you’ve dazed off in more than once, black coat he’s used to shield you from the weather despite your immunity to it, and black boots that are worn to the heel when he follows you.
You are only a few steps away from the camp when you feel a growing panic, for no matter how much you think of Diluc, you don’t feel anything telling you where to go.
When you guide Diluc, even if it’s an impromptu journey, you feel a pull to go somewhere. You’ve once thought it to be your whims but after finding so many other things on purpose and having that same familiar pull, you know that it isn’t just your curiosity guiding you. You conjure up his image, you think of how much you want to find him, and still-- nothing.
How are you going to find him now?
You follow those footsteps, with not much else to go on, and you hope with all your might that perhaps these are the only signs you need to find him. When you reach a snowstorm, your heart falls, only to see that the heat source midst of the snowstorm has been activated. In a place with newly fallen snow and no fireplace, you see a tree with the snow shaken off from its lower branches, and that's when you realize that these are clues that Diluc has left for you.
You look frantically around, following the most likely path he would have taken out, and are met with crossroads. You're tempted to choose a random road and stick with it, but your random choices and the instincts you have been using this entire time are not the same. If you could, you would grunt in frustration, but it comes out as a high-pitched squeal instead (that Albedo takes note of just in case). How were you supposed to-- and then you see footsteps clear as day around the bend of rocks and realize it's Diluc’s.
Does he know, you wonder, that you do not know how to find him? Or did he leave these signs regardless just to make sure you do?
Diluc wants you to find him-- and you find it hard to explain why that means so much to you.
You follow the footsteps, the snow, the branches, and the flames with growing anticipation to see that bright tuft of hair amidst the whitest snow you've ever seen. You're led into an icy opening where heat sources have been activated, and it's hard to contain your excitement when you notice that all of them are activated. You're so close to him; you can feel it.
You rush to the center, hoping to see Diluc-- only to see a gaping chasm where the ice broke, and your heart freezes over.
"Ruin guards," Albedo murmurs, taking note the same time you do that there are various irreparable ruin guards within the hole. If Albedo says anything, if anyone else shows up afterward, you do not notice. The only thing in your mind was the worst-case scenario: Diluc might be hurt, and you didn't know how to find him.
You jet off into the chasm, flying from corner to corner to find him. Every time you see a gleam of red, you desperately hope it is him, but it's just shards of scarlet quartz Diluc must have broken to keep himself warm. Follow it, you think, follow the trail-- quickly!
The path leads to a waterfall where enemies are littered on the ground, including an ice lawachurl right in the river's path. Diluc, you think, following the line of arrows up the snowy hill. You fly up and up and up and as the footsteps fade and you grow colder, you think chillingly that if you were cold, then--
What would you do if he got hurt? What would you do if you could never find him ever again?
No! You think, no, no! Your barely contained composure breaks again with the rising panic. You zip forward, searching for the nearest heat source and praying (to Barbatos, perhaps, or any other god out there that Diluc has yet to tell you-- that he promised to tell you about) that Diluc is there. In the face of your great love for Diluc and the helplessness that comes with it, you have never felt so lost.
Overlooking a tree, you spot an orange seelie-- a heat seelie!-- and speed to it where it slowly looks in your direction. Can you please, you begin desperately, help me find someone? He must have come here before. Red hair, black clothes, big sword? You spot another looking your way and you ask it the same thing. You attract another and you repeat yourself again.
Please, you tell them, I need to find him.
Slowly but steadily, they all look in one direction, and you are off at once. (You forget to say thank-you; you're normally better than that, but you hope the seelies can forgive you just this once.) You fly as fast as you can, begging whoever is listening that the seelies did not mistake someone else for Diluc. And when you see Diluc at the campsite, you finally can breathe again.
Unharmed, his head in a towel to dry off his wet hair, Diluc is fine. You can barely believe what you’re seeing as you numbly float to him, checking him from head to toe for any injuries you can perceive. You don't feel as though you're doing that well of a job though, considering the only thing running through your head that he was safe and what would you have done if he wasn't--
Before you reach him Diluc turns his head to you like clockwork, as if he always knows when you are here. (There are those red eyes again, you think, and wonder if his affection for you will ever run out.)
“Ah, there you are,” he says, almost as frantically as you felt finding him. “I was about to go look for you since you weren't with Albedo." He gives you a smile when you slowly approach him. "I was worried," he says, "I--" He freezes in the middle of his sentence, eyes widening before slowly softening with every passing moment watching you. “Hey,” he says tenderly, raising his hands to cup you close to him. “It’s okay. I’m fine; I’m here.”
If Diluc ever doubted how much you cared for him, he does not have to look any further than the tears that drop down your translucent body, disappearing before they fall off of you. You don’t understand how you can cry, considering what you are (and the lack of tear ducts), but you do anyways, ears drooping as all your worries, concerns, and relief manifest into tears.
I’m so glad you’re okay! Your trills and squeaks are nothing more than hiccups in-between tears. I’m sorry I couldn’t find you earlier!
And Diluc does his best to wipe away the droplets that come from where your eyes would be as he continues to soothe you through them. “You found me,” he says, voice warm like the hands he holds you in. You don't have the strength in you to tell him otherwise when he repeats it to you again and makes you believe it. “You found me.”
.
.
.
.
You spend the next half-hour or so with Sucrose who calms you down a great amount. Her genuine eagerness for alchemy combined with her shy, nervous demeanor is something that endears her to you quickly, especially when she is trying her best to make you feel better by rambling about her latest experiments.
With the worry for Diluc gone, you feel reaffirmed in your relationship with him. You are sad and will be for a while, that you do not have the talent to find Diluc whenever you can, but you are reassured by your determination to do so despite it.
Getting lost and being found again-- it seems as though that’s the cycle the two of you have started together.
“I apologize for causing you distress.” You perk up from your position above the alchemy table when Albedo walks back to you after a brief conversation with Diluc over the bubbling mechanisms on the table.
“Dragonspine is still an unpredictable terrain and I had not taken into consideration that there would be problems using this area as our testing ground,” Albedo says with a twinge of regret. You can understand him well enough to know that he truly did not intend for the day to be so emotional, so you squeak in response and fly in a loop. He looks relieved when you do, and you think for a brief moment that perhaps he isn’t so hard to read after all.
“Though the procedure was… unexpected, I hope you learned more about yourself as I have.” He waits as you eagerly nod in agreement, and you see him briefly hesitate. “...There’s a type of loneliness in being different. I’m sure you know this very well,” he says quietly as you float. “If you wish to learn more about what you are, feel free to visit any time. I will be happy to help.” The smile he gives you is partly fond as it is lonely, and you can only fly up to gently bump your head against his in response. “Until next time then,” he says with a tone of finality. “Perhaps when your companion isn’t so protective over you.” (Which is unlikely, Albedo thinks, but not impossible.)
Until next time, you say, watching as Albedo walks away into the snowy terrain. You spot Diluc, hands crossed as always as he leans against the darkened bark in a manner that is so reminiscent of the first time you found him. You feel oddly nostalgic as he watches you intently. Then, you do a somersault, and, going full circle, he smiles at you.
“Let’s go home,” he says to you, and you follow him, just as you did in the very beginning when you found him.
(If there is anything that the two of you could conclude at the end of this, it is the confirmed knowledge that the two of you would go till the ends of Teyvat to find each other again.)

A/N - Hope I brought this to justice. I loved this idea a lot but I think they might have made them a little toxic- Also sorry for this being very overdue with writing, but as most of you know my motivation for lots of thing is shit. Also Thanks to @livieeee for basically helping to edit and give ideas for this. I also may add to the other characters NSFW as I accidentally gave Bokuto the most detailed part
Lowercase intended
Not proof read
NSFW included
Cursing
The Characters are all aged up for this Headcannon
Ushijima
Tumblr media
we are all very aware about how blunt he is with things
not one to bottle things up
if he doesn't like something, he will voice his opinion
ushijimas blunt ass will sat whatever he wants if he deems that its true
doesn't everyone want to know the truth about things?
he also isn’t one to be easily jealous over things too
his confident ass knows that he’s got you in the long run anyways
he has complete trust in you, your his rock
ushi knows that you wouldn’t go off to flirt with some douche just for the fun of it
the first time that he had ever found himself jealous was when you had dragged him out to your friends birthday party in college
he wouldn’t of even gone if you hadn't forced him out to be social and to make some friends with people his own age and should get out of the house for something other than practicing with the volleyball team he was on
since the party had been for your friend finally becoming of legal drinking age, of course there had been alcohol
oh i wonder how this liquid luck could get you into a predicament?
you had needed to go to the bathroom, so you gave your boyfriend a little wave before leaving
it should of only taken you about five minutes, and ushi knew that
so when you took over twenty he decided to go looking for you
while he was searching for your thicker frame, you had been quite preocupied with something else
there was this guy, completely drunk off of his ass, who wouldn’t leave you along
“are you lightning? because your my mc-queen”
just really icky and shitty pick up lines
homeboy was so touchy too omfg like back up ass hat
you hadn't even noticed the amount of time that had passed until you felt a strong hand on your shoulder
boy did that make you jump
and he looked pissed
~Nsfw~
homeboy really said posessive~
ushi literally ripped you away into the bathroom as you had been stuck in the hallways for god knows how long
for once his touch wasn’t gentle with you, it was more rough and less caring
he’s so rough with you right now oml
to make the story short, you won’t be walking easily later
he wants to make you yell out, to show everyone in the premis know that you are his
“how about you let everyone know who you belong to, sweetheart~”
his buff ass literally is holding you up, just fucking railing into you
only stops when he deems that you are done
he even apologizes if he hurt you too badly
cleans the both of you up with one of the guest towels hanging, before walking you ever so gently out to grab a cab and make your way home
Terushima
Tumblr media
while the two of you had been out shopping for god know what, you happened to spot an old friend
he was ole of those guy friends that were overly touchy, but you never had really minded it since he was just being nice
your friend had been very high energy and affectionate, but they always meant well
so your boyfriend, terushima, had just smacked a smile on his face and acted as friendly as could be
But he was jealous of all the attention you were giving him
hey you couldn’t help it, you haven’t seen the guy in years
hello? teru is your boyfriend, not this guy!
the look on his face when you exchanged numbers to meet up later
you would of thought that you had just shot his puppy dear lord
he was so god damn sad
“he’s totally trying to get into your pants y/n!”
“no he isn’t teru, he’s just being nice”
“y/n, no-”
your so oblivious to it
terushima has two levels jealously
he goes from pout-y little kid to complete asshole in a matter of seconds
homeboy is black and white with his personality, there is no gray area with him
even though he isn’t one to keep quiet about something he doesn't like, he did it anyways for your sake
though he glared holes into him
eventually when he had left ho boy did terushima give you an earful
you heard even more when he found about how you made plans with before mentioned friend to have dinner
it was just so the two of you could catch up after the many years that you haddn’t seen each other
“its just dinner”
“y/n its like he’s trying to date you
“can you chill out?”
“no! what? are you dating him now???”
okay he can be a little high strung sometimes, but its something you can tolerate
~NSFW~
remember how you had given him your phone number?
yeah, that may be important
while you had been getting ready for your little ‘dinner date’ with your friend, teru had still been glaring at the back of your head
you could see his annoyed look from the mirror, but you payed him no mind
hey, he would get over it sooner or later
your phone decides to start ringing, and its the guy
teru looks at it, then at you, then back at the phone
he hits answer before handing the phone to you
you decide to start talking, everything is in a friendly tone
and then he decides to play around a bit
a little nip here and there, nothing more nothing less
just to see what his little doll face can handle
then soon he escalates it more and more
soon lurking hands become groping and nips became hickeys
though you had to pretend that everything was hunky dory on your side of the phone
homeboy on the other line didn’t even think anything of it
“hey are you okay?” he had asked once when you particularly couldn’t handle his stimulation
“y-yeah i’m great right now...”
his hand would slip and dip into places that you had forgotten about until now
just the smooth and slick friction would bring heat to your face, though
that’s when teru had taken the phone back
“screw off your asshat, never call her again!”
and he never did, even if you say him in public, he would walk the other direction
Bokuto
Tumblr media
the two of you had just been out window shopping and peaking into stores on a saturday
when a store employee had started talking about a popular television show that had aired yesterday, you hadn't thought anything of it
in your mind it would of been rude to ignore them completely,
what if they were just having a bad day and you little small talk and brightened it just a little?
you didn’t want to have something like that on your consensus
bo had been standing beside you the entire time, and you hadn’t even noticed the way he had stiffened and almost seemed to puff up, like an owl
there had been one person who did notice bokuto’s uneasiness
baby boy had thought that the two of you had been flirting when he walked by
omg he looked so sad
he went from being all perky and happy to looking like a deflated balloon
it was pretty pathetic
sooner or later the worker had felt so awkaward that he left, that’s when you had noticed his discomfort
he had waved if off until the two of you had gotten home, then you finally cornered him and asked
“whats wrong?”
he just rolled his eyes to himself, “you should know!”
yeah just the buffering circle above your head for that one
you really had no idea
“i seriously don’t bo...”
“yes you do, in the store that worker was totally flirting with you!” he had finally spoke out
oh...
that had made sense you guessed
even though you had apologized to him, he had still been down, even needy
~NSFW~
bo had just been clinging on you for the past hour
if your standing, he’s right behind you, just looming
he became a shadow or a lost puppy, following you everywhere
his arms always found their way to your generous waist, holding onto you as if you would be blown away if a gust of wind decided to make its way though your home
as you had tried to walk down the short hallway that connected your bedroom to the living room, bokuto had stopped the both of you
he looked down to you before grabbing your wrist
bokuto half dragged and half lead you to the shared room you both shared since you moved in together
he had pushed you, not carefully may I add, onto the futon bed
koutarou soon climbed on top of your plush frame, his face lightly dusted in a red hue
one of his hands wandered down towards the plush button that resided between your thick thighs
the other had cradled the back of your head, pulling you back lightly so he could have more access to your neck and collarbones
bokuto lightly kissed your skin, it didn’t matter if imperfections or not
now this would have been more of a sweet moment if you hadn’t noticed the almost mocking circles you felt at your core
“am i good enough for you now baby owl?”
you would of answered him if you were able to form words, but the amount of stimulation that he was able to give you simply from the tips of his fingers was astonishing
damn boy he got magic hands
you had opened your mouth but no words came out
that had made the two toned haired boy let out a laugh
the only thing that you thought to do was to wrap your arms around his broad back
“speechless, huh” he had taunted you, a smirk on his face
he just kept up his happy little circles, the stimulation bringing a warm, almost butterfly like feeling to your abdomen
it was if he filled an empty part of you, and you needed him to survive
the tightness in your core had started to bubble, feeling as if you were going to top off the edge and boil over
your former speachless self was soon a babbling mess, telling bo how much you did need him
and even after you had reached and passed your high, he hadn't stopped, he loved the way your words flowed from your mouth in light, breathless pleas
oh he wasn’t even done
play nice you two
Kuroo
Tumblr media
out of the two of you, kuroo had always been the more jealous one
baby boy is passive aggressive about it too
he doesn't do the keeping it to himself kind of bullshit
just completely straight to the point
he dosent often become jealous either
kuroo trusts that you wont get flirty or ‘advance’ on anyone else, because you have him for that
why would you need anyone else when he’s right there?
he has the confidence that all of us are jealous of
you and i know that this boy gives little insults to almost everyone
just in a joking and playful way, because that’s just how he communicates to people
but if someone decides to push it
ho boy
mr. rooster man slowly gets more and more passive aggressive
literally they turn into thinly veiled threats
you could practically see the steam coming out of his ears
so imagine his reaction when the waiter at a restaurant had decided to get a little too cozy with interacting with you
kuroo had been sitting right across from you, a pissed off look slapped over his face
who was this asshole and why the fuck was he going after his little kitten?
he had kept his mouth shut but raised an eyebrow at your plush form
it was as if he was asking if you were going to let this guy keep his shitty advances up
you just thought he was being friendly, but according to kuroo he wasn’t
when he had figured that you weren't going to stop him, he spoke up
“lay off dickwad” his voice had been laced with the utmost hate, you had never heard him ever use that tone before
with that, he had grabbed you by the arm before leaving, not paying for the two glasses
~NSFW~
the two of you had gone home in his car
no words had been exchanged between kuroo or you
“you were so into that, weren't you y/n” the bed-head boy had muttered to you, almost in a mocking way
you couldn’t think of a reason on why he was acting like that, so you had just kept your mouth shut until he would drop you off at your apartment
his hand that usually resided on your plush thigh while he was driving was currently white knuckled on the the steering wheel
even though he was looking at the road, he looked completely pissed
no plea for him to talk to you would make him speak up, it was as if he was stuck in thought
even when he had dropped you off at your flat, he seemed to still loom over you
when you took out your keys, he took them from your hand and opened the door himself as if you were suddenly incompetent of doing anything for yourself
“need someone to do everything for you huh? just too dumb in the brain to do anything...” kuroo had sneered to himself
“okay what the fuck is your problem you asshole?” you had finally spoken up, really what was this jerks deal with you?
homeboy had glared at you before pinning you against the wall in your own home as if he owned the place, “oh so now you talk, you were so fine with that guy in the restaurant huh? completely preoccupied with him to forget that i was there...”
suddenly everything is making sense right now, the puzzel pieces are fitting together
homeboy was jealous and you had no idea, you just though he was being pissy for no reason
he just sighed, putting his head in the crook of your neck, “idiot...”
kuroo had finally turned his head to look up to you, a slightly sad look on his face
oh you felt like complete shit, homeboy looked so down that your heart hurt
you leaned your head slightly down so you could give the top of his head a lil kiss kiss
homeboy almost seemed to purr from the affection
he slung his arms over your shoulders, it was as if he was leading you into the minimal living room that you had
the two of somehow ended up on the crappy couch you had, him on top humming happily down below at you
sandwiched happily together
“i’m still disappointed in you...” he muttered, looking down at you
“oh bite me” though you paused before thinking, “how about i make it up to you?”
kuroo had smirked, “and how are you going to do that?” he questioned you
it was as if you had suddenly forgotten how to speak, a burning heat spreading from your cheeps to the bridge of your nose
lets just say that you did not expect that answer from him in the slightest-
his slender hand ran up the side of your torso, as if he was memoriizing the peaks and valleys of your figure
“i’m the only one who can make you feel like this,” kuroo had muttered cockily, staring into your eyes
he had no shame making comments like these, why should he?
his fingers snuck under the elastic material of the underthings you had currently been wearing, teasingly testing the waters and rubbing fether-like circles over your sensitive bits that were located on your chest
“are you ready?”
