*The Tao gave birth to One.
The One gave birth to Two.
The Two gave birth to Three.
The Three gave birth to all things.
All things carry Yin
yet embrace Yang.
They blend their life breaths
in order to produce harmony.
People despise being orphaned, widowed, and poor.
But the noble ones take these as their titles.
In losing, much is gained,
and, in gaining, much is lost.
What others teach,
I too will teach:
‘The strong and violent will not die a natural death.’

It’s time for a, “things I sent to my twin’s inbox but she said I should post myself because I never post my own work and she’d like if I stopped spamming her inbox with ideas but I forgot about it and just kept it in my drafts notes for months and now finally I’m posting the fucking things.”
Or for short:
DP X DC PROMPT #7:
————————————
Danny visits metropolis and people are deadset on believing that Danny is either Clark’s little brother or his nephew from Illinois… despite that Clark can literally not be related to him. Not that the people at the Daily Planet know that, but even the ones who do know are giving him a hard time.
“I’m adopted Jimmy!” Clark threw his hands in the air in frustration. “You are very aware of that.”
“But he looks just like you Clark, you even talk the same!” Jimmy peaked around the corner, catching a glimpse of Danny talking to Lois in the employees lounge.
“He has a upper midwestern accent. I’m from Kansas, Jim. Not all midwesterners know each other!”
“So?”
“Jimmy. You know damn well why we can not be related.” Clark subtly gestured to his cheap “I believe in aliens” mug. Jimmy was Clark’s best friend and most of the time he really appreciated the kid’s keen eye but Jimmy also seemed to be constantly dead-set on figuring how to give Clark a headache.
“But he looks like a mini you! Have you asked him if he has a spare spaceship lying around anywhere?” Jimmy snarked as he glanced over to Danny and Louis who were finally heading back from their break.
“Jimmy, I will put you on the moon and leave you there.”
“Alright sheesh. I get it, I’ll drop it.”

What is the Tao?
The Tao is most often translated to mean “the way” or “the path,” but I’m not a fan of that translation. Here’s what the Tao Te Ching has to say about the nature of the Tao:
“The tao that can be described is not the eternal Tao.”
“The Tao is nameless and unchanging.”
“Since the beginning of time, the Tao has always existed.”
“The great Tao runs unobstructed in every direction.”
“The Tao gives birth to all of creation.”
“All things end in the Tao.”
“That which is not the Tao will soon end.”
At its very core, it is a concept. “Tao” is a name that we use to describe reality in its most fundamental form, unobstructed by filters of perception. It is a natural force. It is all natural forces. Evolution is part of the Tao. Heat and light are part of the Tao. The function of an atom is part of the Tao. And, yes, you are part of the Tao. If it exists, it is part of the Tao.
I just told you what the Tao is, so how is it that it cannot be described? Well, as human beings, there are physical, temporal, and mental constraints upon us that prevent us from fully observing and comprehending the nature of reality. We are fish trying to describe water.
Look at the sky. Think about what you see. Several people may look at the same bit of sky but will not see it the same way. Some look through windows, clean or dirty or small or large. Some may be colorblind or nearsighted. A happy person may decide that a bright blue sky is cheerful while the unhappy person sees it as bleak. And what if they don’t look at the same time? What will that same bit of sky look like tomorrow? Years from now?
The sky exists. This is a fact. But we can never know the true nature of it, in its entirety, because we can only observe it within the confines of our time, our location, our anatomy, and our mental state.
This is why the Tao cannot be truly known.

reader is in a otome game and it has like a gacha system in there and glitchy just pulls for reader every time their banner comes up IMAGINE THE ANGER THAT GLITCHY RED FELT WHEN HE DIDNT GET READER IN A LIMITED TIME EVENT IN THEIR GAME💀 (sorry my english is shit🙂)
no your english was actually perfectly fine thumbz up! also LMAO
i feel like glitchy would have the WORST luck at gachas ( opposite to me, whos sorta stupidly lucky in gacha games ) he'd like.. eventually hate gacha games bc he never gets what he wants. i also think he'd tryhard them a lot. he's the type of dude to make optimal / competitive heavy builds in games that have that sorta system to the point where it like lessens his enjoyment of the game bc hes so hyperfocused on being optimal or whatever.
alternatively, he's just playing like the rhythm gacha games. i dont know if he'd suck ass at rhythm games or be surprisingly good at them. not like it matters, his hands touching the phone prob make it lag or glitch tf out. im so sorry glitchy <3 one day they will make a phone that you do not fuck with simply by existing <3
i hope he gets a 5-star limited-time event reader one day... keep your chin up, king. you'll get that 5 star drop someday...

Daily drawing #39.
Hu Tao banner is soon and I want her. I know nothing about her except that she is cute. Vaguely suspecting that the butterflies might be some kind of tragic symbol...hopefully I’m not accidentally implying something terrible taking place here.
