Been a while since I've made an actual post that isn't for Marbleclan '._.

I've been slowly redesigning the Halfway cast, here's the designs so far!

My favourite redesign so far is Strix's, he looks a lot better now he's slightly more creature-y than he was before :>

With any luck I'll post a bit more often now, but it'll probably be mostly Halfway and OC content maybe some Regretevator too ^^

I'm in love with this blog, sorry if sending so many asks feels like spam, but do you think Guts of Berserk could defeat Macbeth because of The Brand of Sacrifice? I feel like that might qualify him for the Unique Exception.

Okay so admittedly I can't find anything prophecy-dodging about the Brand of Sacrifice (I'm sure that there's something I just can't find it) BUT-

Yes, Guts from Berserk could kill Macbeth!

Look, all I'm saying is that if Shakespeare considered being born via C-section to be Unconventional Birth Clause then being delivered posthumously from a woman's corpse should count too.

I don't have any art WIPs to show (yet.), but what I do have is an excerpt from the next chapter of i fear no fate (for you are my fate), which is now around halfway done! so, here's Miraak making a something of a Decision™️:

No sooner does Lucien steal out of the room than a soft, plaintive little sound tumbles from Elentari’s mouth. She’s shivering, Miraak realises then, chilled to the very marrow even beneath the heavy embroidered quilts; if he listens, he can hear the rapid chattering of her teeth from where he sits. The gentlest of fire spells he could possibly conjure, glowing like candlelight in the palm of a hand he could wrap around both of hers at once—that would warm her well enough, just as she must have warmed him at the shore of the frozen lake all those thousands of years in the past for him and mere hours ago for her. And yet, he can’t help but think with a rush of longing that sweeps away his breath, he would be able to warm her much, much more thoroughly if he were to climb in beside her, draw her close, and share the heat of his own body with her… Believe this of me, Elentari: I desire nothing from you that you are neither willing nor ready to give, he had sworn to her, and his resolution to never, ever give her cause to doubt his words stands steadfast as ever. But this—to do this wouldn’t be to ask anything of her, would it? It would be an offer of that aid which is in his power to lend, and he would expect nothing in return. “You have guarded me in so many of my dreams, mal dovahdin,” he murmurs to her as he inches back the covers. “Let me grant you the same comfort, if only for a single night.”

there! but of course, Elentari is sound asleep, isn't she? she definitely won't wake up and realise just who's keeping her warm, will she? not at all, not at all...

Case #0: Batman

Batman has no vision.

Case #1: Nightwing

Dick Grayson obtained his vision at age ten, two years after Batman took him in. His intense feelings drove him to go behind his mentor's back, tracking down his parents' killer and hatching a plan to eliminate him.

As he stood over the cowering man, gun in hand as Zucco begged for his pathetic life, his finger tensed and relaxed over the trigger of the gun. A purple glow shone. Till now, he does not know if it was an appeasement or an order from the gods.

A few moments later, Batman arrived to find his ward with a gun and vision in his hand. Despite this, Tony Zucco was still breathing.

Case #2: Red Hood

Jason Todd was captured and tortured in a warehouse in Qurac by Joker. After sustaining severe injuries, he was tied up and left with a ticking time bomb beside him.

Perhaps, as the bomb ticked to its final second, Jason had thought that Batman had forsaken him. That he had lost his father. However, even the bright cyan energy that suddenly emitted could not save him from his fiery fate.

Jason Todd was buried with a grey anemo vision.

Case #3: Batgirl

Cassandra has no vision. Perhaps she might have had one before, David Cain was never a big fan of magic given by the gods.

Case #4: Red Robin

Tim Drake had been training under Batman to take the mantle of Robin. It was a late night, Batman was out on patrol and Tim was burying himself in case files. Unfortunately, he had fallen asleep in the mess.

When Batman returned, he was greeted by a green glow and it was then that he knew Tim was destined to be the world's greatest detective.

Case #5: Spoiler

Stephanie Brown was young when she acquired her vision. She had walked into one of her father's nefarious crimes. Of course she was afraid, it was only natural.

But as she sat in her bedroom in the quiet of the night, she swore to spoil her father's plans. The next day, she found a glowing purple jewel under her bed along with a purple hood.

Case #6: Robin

Damian Wayne was stubborn, naive and... forgiving. In the end, it was his love for his mother that ended his life. Not many understood but Batman did.

That was why he was so enraged when he found Damian's letter, it was lit by a cold blue light. The cryo vision was dim but not grey, almost mocking him with his son's death.

Rage bubbled inside as Batman took his frustrations out, it was only overtaken by guilt at the sight of fractures in the precious ornament. The light flickered before extinguishing.

Little guide for non-genshins

Visions are little charms given to people to grant them the ability to control their element in times of need

Purple is electro (electricity) and is given to those seen as different or abnormal.

Cyan is anemo (air) and is given to those who have lost someone close to them or on a journey for freedom

Green is dendro (grass) and is given to those in the pursuit of knowledge

Blue is cryo (ice) and is given to those who feel unloved or abandoned

Just read Camelot for the first time!

I was worried it would make me dislike Tristan, because that's what everybody says. "I hated Tristan after I read Camelot", but I thought he played the heel beautifully.

Sanzang was the unexpected MVP of the singularity. She really injected a welcome dose of colour and levity into all her interactions.

Cursed Arm was also super cool! Look forward to learning more about him in Fate Stay Night.

I kind of felt like Serenity had more romantic chemistry with Mash than a lot of people give her credit for. Like I always hear how she likes Ritsuka because they're poison immune and she can touch them, but they ignore that Mash is poison immune too, but it definitely seemed like she was aiming for the throuple to me.

King Hassan also made a strong impression, but that was expected. Everybody always says what a strong impression he makes.

I loved how everybody was wowed by the rice guy's rice ability! Like, among the players it's kind of a gag how useless his ability to conjure rice is, but to a starving community it was a lot more amazing than any of the crazy combat spells. Really made you think for a moment about how food is the start of everything. Nothing else happens until people have eaten.

All in all I think that's my two cents on the singularity.

I was going to pack my own lunch for this all-day training but because I'm a disaster right now I'm just going to chance it.

I have... Certain very strong and arbitrary food aversions that result in stuff like me looking forward all year to eating kibbe nayeh (raw meat with bulgur, raw onions, and spices), but last time I went to an event with food provided all I could eat was garlic bread. And then I get stressed out if I don't know what is going to be served and preemptively decide I won't be able to eat anything.

But I'll bring an orange and something else (sunflower seeds?) and grab an extra bagel or whatever from breakfast and be fine.
