Time loops fuck me up so much like especially when they know they’re on their last one. Like this is it. It’s freeing to finally be out of it, but it’s also terrifying. They’re entering a world with no more do-overs. A world where they can die. But it’s still worth it because they will be able to experience new things, to really live, to meet new people. To experience the future. Which is terrifying, but since the future can also bring change, this means that when they get out of the loop, they can experience a world where things can get better.

on my knees crying begging comic writers to not age down characters who's motivations are directly inspired by the time period they grew up in. i think coming up with a canon friendly reason why they're still alive/active is far less jarring than interchanging historical circumstances or pushing their birth date decades in advance

my favorite trope is when book 2 of a fantasy trilogy has its naval era. And especially when we meet a pirate and said pirate becomes my favorite character

I love making stobin’s love lives absolutely disastrous like they break hearts and have their heart broken numerous times. specifically with robin I see her uhauling across the country numerous times and her realising that it’s not going to work out with this new girl right around the time they’ve signed a lease and gotten a cat together so she ends up stealing the cat and sneaking back to her and steve’s place in the middle of the night

the other side of it is that I also really like rovickie and I fully expect them to be endgame. but I imagine that they break up bc I can’t have robin in a successful and committed relationship and also out there breaking hearts (that isn’t just breaking the hearts of girls bc she’s not single) however the idea of them having a similarly disastrous break up is Not It for me. so I usually imagine that they end up becoming each other’s the one who got away. like it was purely circumstances not anything about their personalities or values or anything like that. like im thinking something like vickie got an amazing opportunity but very far away and robin is in a good spot like just got into an amazing position or program and so neither are wanting the other to give that up. both of those commitments would take up years and so they end up making the decision to break up rather than end up fizzling out trying long distance. it’s mutual and amicable and very sad for both of them! they write letters and occasionally try to call bc they’re still friends and care about each other but eventually the distance puts a stop to that

they lose contact, both of them just living their lives, gaining and losing loves, making friends, getting promoted and getting fired, the whole thing. maybe they manage to meet up again in their 30s and they’ve changed a lot, no longer young girls just coming into their sexualities, and they’re both in committed relationships at this time, maybe vickie is married or engaged, maybe robin is too or just with a long term gf or no gf at all idk. but they have other commitments...even if part of them will always love each other...

I most especially like to imagine them meeting again properly when they’re middle aged. like 55+ vickie’s divorced robin has settled into something queerplatonic with Steve bc they genuinely love each other not bc their romantic attempts with other ppl keep falling through. and robin and vickie trying again, not totally exclusive but committed...I do just love the idea of them growing together naturally again after having a lot of life’s adventures. there’s maybe grown children involved who do Not understand why mom is shacking up with a lesbian and her platonic life partner but hey <3 that’s life
