Can someone please tell me what the head cannon femme!leo or transfemme!leo is all about. I’m not against it. Love me some queer/trans pride but I personally don’t see it. I’d love to hear some other peoples thoughts on it because I don’t really have a fully fleshed out idea of where it came from and the basis behind it.

Some people love the idea of Leo being trans partly because he was given traits that female red sliders have (probably due to the creators not noticing the differences or just for fun design stuff)

But a commenter on TikTok pointed out it’s hard to tell red sliders genders when little, so they headcannon Lou Jitsu just assumed they were all male because he couldn’t tell

nvm my last ask I didn’t see the reblog. But I am curious tho what is your opinion on Raph?

I really like Raph! I think his character is really interesting! Like, he really cares about his family and his brothers but he just gets angry and doesn't have the tools to deal with that in the healthiest way. I can relate to that, especially when I reflect on when I was 15. Its not easy being 15 in the best of circumstances, and he's like, completely isolated from the world and has only had 4 people to interact with his entire life, not to mention living in close quarters with them with no where else to go? Like yeah, I imagine all of them are a little ill-equipped for healthy social interactions lol.

I also head cannon him as autistic, and sometimes project my own autistic traits onto him, like over stimulation leading to snapping at people, drumming as stimming, and the way he just hangs out with the others without doing what they're doing? Like he's always reading or working out or something but he's always in the main space? like parallel play.

Tl;dr, I really like Raph lol.

It's pride month, so here are some Riordanverse pride headcannons!

•Percy and Annabeth have turned at least a quarter of the camp bi.

•Cabin 23 (the Morpheus Cabin) has the most trans/genderfluid campers, and the cis members are huge allies.

•The boys from the Seven like to parade around camp in skirts.

•Any homophobia WILL NOT BE TOLERATED and the homophones will be followed around with megaphones that Leo programmed.

•They instantly repent.

•Camp Jupiter used to be a little more strict, but Jason (he never died, trust) got them to relax the rules.

•I like to think that they renovate the Apollo cabin, the fruitiest of them all, and call it the Gay Café, and it allows the younger campers or anybody with internalised homophobia to come to terms with their sexuality.

•Alex Fierro likes to come around and party a bit.

•She drags Magnus along, too.

•Apollo often comes down from Olympus.

•Artemis also comes around to attempt to recruit some aspecs.

•The Dionysus cabin often hosts parties for the older campers as well.

hmm... had to think about this for a while and talk about it with co-author, but here's what we got. we mostly base this stuff on how plausible it is in show/if there's evidence for it. with a dash of personal experience. This only applies to residuum, btw. I have different personal headcanons for these characters outside the comic.

april: lesbian. this is mostly based off of the fact that most aprils get with their caseys & the comment she said to dale. which could be taken as disinterest in dale specifically, but she seemed more concerned with impressing that popular girl earlier and that reads as more... saphic, i suppose. or at the very least homoromantic.

raph: raph is just raph. we look at him and basically just *tv static*. go crazy. all we got is jokes or stuff that has too little evidence to support. so, yeah, he's whatever you want him to be i guess?

leo: trans. already said my reason in the other post. also, gay. if gay were a power source he could power the entirety of the united states for five months straight without a single power outage. failing power grid notwithstanding (< thats the actual word. its supposed to be mushed together like that. wack.).

donnie: as much as i'd like him to be ace/aro spectrum rep, he just doesn't have the evidence in show for us to apply it to him in this comic. it's funny, for being hc as ace so often he sure is the most outwardly romantic/sexual turtle in the show lmao. one! cherry: "you're so cute, but you're so mean! why do i always go for your type?" two! astrogirl?? (whatever her name is) he is very very romantic with her. he has a type y'all. also just look at those two, he's a leg man lmao (bootyyshaker9000 anyone? ha!) anyway. and with the bromance/instant chemistry he had with that one guy in the purple dragons... Pan. or possibly Omni as he does seem to favor... cute brutal femme... Yeah. Omnisexual.

mikey: ace. possibly ace/aro. he shows interest in literally no-one. we're aware that the common hc is pan but... we know a pan 13 year old, and let me tell you ahahahaha, kids going through puberty are very uncomfortable to be around sometimes, especially around their partners. or crushes. and mikey... well, that boy is ace behavior personified lmao. aces in the back you get what we mean right?? right??? anyway commiting to aroace

Heya! Ignore this if this is rude, sorry to just dump my opinions in your ask box like this!

About the Leosagi thing, it has a bit of a history in the tmnt fandom, that’s why it’s so popular now with the rise one. I’m not as knowledgeable as some older fans, but the Usagi comic book series and tmnt have been intertwined for a pretty long time. Crossovers and things have been happening almost every iteration, aside from rise. Each crossover tended to focus heavily on the friendship between Usagi and Leo, leading to a big chunk of the fandom shipping them in a bunch of the iterations.

The Usagi chronicles is widely regarded as a middle of the road show. It’s not amazing but it’s great to see the Usagi comic books get a show of their own! (in a, weird, several generations down the line way) The fact that it was released around the same time as rise, and that rise never got to have a Usagi crossover like most of the iterations before it, lead fans into taking the crossover into their own hands. It was tradition at that point, and those leading the charge happened to be the same ones who shipped Leosagi before rise, in 2003 and the like.

Leo being gay or trans has been a popular headcannon for a long time, probably because of the extremely queer fandom. Either way Leo in rise being more flamboyant than any Leo before him reinforced this I suppose. As someone who doesn’t mind the Leosagi ship (and is queer themself), I don’t think just because a guy is flamboyant or confident they’re gay. That’s a pretty small minded take and assuming that a guy can’t be flamboyant in any way without being “outside the norm” is a tale as old as time. But knowing this you can still have fun with flamboyant gay characters. I think some people can find comfort in head-cannoning a character as a confident, charismatic gay man!

But, aside from all of this, everyone should be allowed to do whatever they want with characters forever. People should not feel offended if anyone portrays a character as straight or gay, canon is fandoms personal playground and it doesn’t matter at the end of the day. I think your Y/N stuff is awesome and you should keep doing whatever you find joy in, because that’s what fandom is about. Try not to get too offended at the Leosagi shippers, tmnt has had this tradition long before rise, and it’s just the fandoms history moving forward with the newest iterations. Let the gay people go wild, doesn’t matter who they ship who with, if people are having fun and making art together.

I hope you don’t have to receive any kind of hate for the ship you prefer, you aren’t morally obligated to like anything, and this is your blog, you choose what happens here.

Just in case, yeah, I know about history between TMNT and Usagi, and I know they had crossovers many times.

Again, I have no problems with people who enjoy their headcanons by themselves and don't touch anyone with it. You don't touch me, I don't touch you, simple as that. I'm not a fan of both these headcanons, so I just either keep scrolling or filter/hide them. I don't try to make people stop enjoying something they like because I have no right to do so.

About Leo, there was already a comment that I agree with, and I hope they don't mind if I quote them here:

"There's a difference between being flamboyant and being gay. Being flamboyant does not make you or someone gay. This is a common stereotype that can be harmful to the LGBTQ+ community. Being flamboyant is a way some people express themselves and their identity and trust me, it does not determine their sexual orientation or gender identity."

I have a little personal history with thing that is different, but has the same core, because I'm half-blood. One of my parents was from another country, and because of that some of my actions and personality have been judged based on my ethnicity.

Again, you headcanon Leo as gay? Okay, just please, don't try to make people believe it's canon. Because I've seen cases like this, and there's a whole video where a person basically says that Leo is gay and if you don't agree, "heck, you're wrong! And the fact that you don't agree only proves that it's canon" and a bunch of other "proves" that mostly made out of thin air. Like, wth...? Who gave you right to say something like that? You're not the creator of the show. And because of people like this there are a bunch of those who actually believe this headcanon to be canon.

For me it turns into a problem when people are crossing the line and start shoving their headcanons into your face, trying to prove/make you believe that it's canon, and simply being rude if you don't agree or just say that you don't like it. If a person didn't do anything to you personally, who said you have the right to being rude to them or even harass them?

If this behavior crosses the line of my interests, why do they have the right to be offended by my disagreement, but I have to ignore them if it hurts me?

Not to mention how bad I feel for RIse creators who are still being constantly pressured by people with all this which is NOT okay and shouldn't be okay.

So my last post talked about Leon and Donnie's relationship in my silly/slightly angsty separated human Leo AU (which I still need to name, suggestions please I'm so bad at naming things)

Anyways, Leon and Raph!

Now with Donnie and Leon, the rivalry is kinda one-sided, but with with Raph and Leon it is a fully fleged feud on both sides. The two of them actually hate each other, but for VASTLY different reasons

Raph hates Leon for a lot of the same reasons that Donnie does. He wants to be recognized as the top athlete in the school next year when they're both Seniors (for any non-Americans, that's the last year of high school before college) and win a super prestigious scholarship that's only handed out to the top athlete of that year. Whoever gets that scholarship is basically guaranteed a full ride to any school of their choice and gets a bunch of recognition from the state, it's a really big deal.

The thing is, Raph wants it REALLY bad. He's got two fantastic little brothers and amazing as they are, he really wants to stand out from them (and earn his pops' pride). He really wants the praise and recognition that comes with it, but there's even more than that.

I headcannon Raph to have some learning disabilities, most specifically Dyslexia and Dyscalcula. This has made school really difficult for him, and winning this scholarship would prove to everyone and himself that he is more than just his grades.

Anyways, he's practically a shoo-in for the award, he's won so many state awards in track and wrestling, helped his team go to state several times in football and has broken several school records! He's really impressive, a real once in a generation athlete.

....too bad he's not the only one.

Leon is also an EXTREMELY gifted athlete. Like, he's REALLY good

But all jokes aside, he does canonically play REALLY good basketball. In addition, the school really wants to give him the scholarship to show that they're "progressive" and get social points for that since in this fictional world, they're letting a trans teen play gendered sports (let me dream)

Apart from that, Leon has his own reasons for wanting that scholarship. I'll make a whole separate post later on this, but the gist of it is that without scholarships, he won't be able to go to college. He not only wants the scholarship and everything that comes with it, but he NEEDS it. Without this scholarship AND the scholarship from achieving Valedictorian, he won't be able to get into the program that he really wants (again, a separate post on this whole situation is coming)

On top of all that, Leo's also extremely competitive and there may or may not have been an incident with Raphael when they were kids but shh spoilers and he doesn't want to lose

But yeah, that's the gist of Leon and Raphael's relationship! Both of them hold a legitimate hatred for each other and pretty much view the other as just an obstacle in their way to success!

Leo and Raph both have different bodies now - mutation bomb blast maybe the cause? do their weirdly mutated bodies hurt them? there is no advanced medical suff in the apocalypse - body horror and body dysmorphia potential

- He acts a bit overprotective for a while but will pull back on the worrying if you tell him to.

- Leo doesn’t see you differently at all; in fact he sometimes forgets that you use them. Not in the dumb forgetting way but in the sense that it just becomes normal to him

- Might or might not have asked if you can do a wheelie in your wheelchair.

- Strange headcanon but Leo sews. He makes you gloves so you don’t get calluses on your palms.

Rise!Donatello

- He built a titanium cane for you saying that “durability is important” it looks cool tho

- Donnie installs some stuff to the lair to make it easier for you to get in and out of it, but nothing too drastic of a change

- You two become very close actually! He completely understands how it feels when people constantly worry about your physical condition when it’s something you can’t control.

- He offers to decorate your cane and your other aids! bunch of stickers and painted on things

- Mikey’s your hype man! Having to start using mobility aids can affect your confidence so he’ll tell you all the supporting words you need to hear
