we had to leave our last job because im immunocompromised and our coworkers didnt mask which made me very ill for over a month... we don't know what to do. work from home jobs are more competitive than we expected, but at this point, in-person jobs are EXTREMELY difficult to find because we're trans and visibly GNC. we can't go outside without getting dirty looks and random people pushing past us in the grocery store, let alone find jobs that can accommodate our disabilities enough and still pay enough to survive. i can't do justice to the rising level of hostility towards trans people here. if we lose housing again, we will be in a VERY bad position because we literally have nowhere to go but the streets or maybe one of our respective rapists, which are both extremely dangerous situations made worse by the fact that we're trans and in the south with no support system... if anything bad happens, we're completely on our own out here.

we also still do not have enough to pay for our medications, so our physical and mental conditions are deteriorating.

we're just hoping to god we can get jobs, but even if we do, it's looking like we probably won't be able to earn enough to pay rent by the maximum possible due date which is the 15th of april.

we'll try to raise whatever we can ourselves, and i'll update this post if there are any new developments...

for now our goal is at least $1532

trans people who are anti t4t make me so sad. because beyond just not knowing what being t4t means, the fact that they believe that t4t is just being a chaser is indicative of a deeper issue, being that cis people have ingrained the idea that we are unfuckable and unloveable, disgusting by nature, and that anybody who would voice attraction to us, a step further, ONLY CHOOSE TO DATE TRANS PEOPLE, would be a pervert with a disgusting fetish who wont see them as equal.

t4t is the rejection of the idea that we are inherently disgusting, just because we are in the eyes of a cisnormative society.

t4t is the understanding that we are safer and stronger together as a community than apart.

t4t is seeing your trans boyfriend try on clothes from your old boy wardrobe that you hated growing up but now your least favorite shirt is your favorite because its the perfect shade of red that brings out his eyes.

t4t is teaching your trans girlfriend that has been scared to do her own makeup how youve learned from other trans women, who learned from other trans women, who learned from other trans women.

t4t is doing your testosterone shots together and kissing each others sticks after you put the bandaid on.

t4t is holding the door for your trans girlfriend and showing her the chivalry she didn't get from her dad growing up, but its ok because you can show her now.

t4t is being on the phone with your partner who just came out as trans/nonbinary after seeing you, YOU, live your truth, and them asking you to help them find a new name, the perfect name for them, and you hope theyll carry that part of you forever.

you are trans and that is beautiful. your transness is beautiful. trans love is beautiful. dont let ANYBODY make you feel unworthy of sex or love. THATS what being t4t means.

It would be great if we, collectively as a community, stopped throwing other lgbt people under the bus to talk about our own issues. It’s really not that necessary.

Like to would be great if we talked about transfem problems without randomly throwing in “yeah because transmascs have it so easy!”

It would be great if we could talk about the issues that come with being a certain sexuality without complaining about lesbians, or bisexuals, or gay men, or polyamorous people and how we think everything is about them (newsflash: its not and they have their own issues because being any type of queer is hard)

It would be great if we could let other lgbt people have representation and be happy for them, instead of turning it into complaining about how others don’t have as much representation. You know you can talk about wlw shows getting cancelled without making mlms feel bad for getting another season of heartstopper right? It’s not their fault and it’s good that they’re getting rep.

We can talk about our issues without making other queer people out to be our enemy, because they’re not
