Lost in the Book with Stitch Ending (& the Blue Fairy??)
The ending of the Stitch event through me for a loop. Although I think it may be a tie in to the Book 7 dream themes, it was such an odd ending with very little explanation. Perhaps the book will be involved for future events, but no one remembers anything, nor did we see the book again once it closed.
Tumblr media
I thought my theory that the book belonged to Ambrose (and was snuck into the NRC library by Chenya) was possible, but the ending didn’t answer a single question about the book. (Credit to Ekala on YouTube for these screenshots and translations!!)
Tumblr media
However, the last shots we got of the book gives me some material to work with 🤔 The entire event seems to be captured in this book, with a mixture of writing and photos. There’s even an explicit “the end.” This is very sus to me lmao, especially knowing that the book can take you to another world. Why would the book record all these events?
Edit: A lot of the classic Disney movies start the story by opening a book with the title of the movie on it. Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Pinocchio etc. Even more suspicious 🤨
Tumblr media
However, I don’t think this specific story can be seen again. The book cover changes with the location, see? So I’m assuming that once the book goes back to a plain cover, the Stitch story and the photos will disappear. It’s still in the book, but it just won’t be visible anymore. I’m also assuming that when there’s no image on the book cover, the pages are blank. (This book feels very Ever After High lmaoo)
But what interests me is how aged the book is. A lot of modern book pages are made to be more protected against the elements, but older books tends look browned or yellowed because of their long time exposure to light, oxygen, and or humidity. The reddish edges of the book also appear to be a sign of this. The cover is pristine looking, likely due to its magic, but the inside reveals its age. Hm. I still feel confident about the book belonging to Ambrose due to this factor. Since Ambrose is the 63rd, the book may have been passed down his family.
But what REALLY caught my eye was the sparks of BLUE magic when the book closed. Blue??
Tumblr media
I’m not an expert of Disney media lmao, but I can’t immediately think of a character who’s magic was blue. Merryweather, one of the three fairies from Sleeping Beauty, comes to mind, but it doesn’t make sense that green and red magic from Flora and Fauna wouldn’t show up either.
Tumblr media
Next what comes to mind is Merlin, who Ambrose is based off of. He seems a lot more likely, one because of Ambrose, and two because of Merlin’s signature blue color. Ever when he transformed into various animals in Sword of the Stone, he would still be blue. What troubles me though is the color of his magic. It consists of various colors in the shapes of stars, but not blue. Red and green are most commonly seen in his magic aura.
Maybe I’m overthinking this haha, but TWST is fairly consistent with the colors of magic. The Light Trio (Silver, Kalim, and Rook) has light magic, so no matter their spell element, it appears as light. Regular magic seems to show up as white sparkles, with the exception of Malleus and his green fireflies. So blue magic seems significant.
But then I remembered about the newest event announced with two next characters that are likely based off Honest John and Gideon- who are from Pinocchio.
Tumblr media
Pinocchio has the Blue Fairy, and the confirmation of Honest John and Gideon brings the possibility of the Blue Fairy as a character.
In the song, When You Wish Upon A Star, the Blue Fairy is referred to as “Fate.” She can take on different forms, including a wishing star and a dove. She can even give a wooden puppet life. She also has BLUE magic.
Tumblr media
All the characters were essentially “wishing” for a beach event, weren’t they? And the book granted their wish, even if they lost their memories in the end. And despite the memory loss, they all made to agreement to visit the beach together during summer vacation. So not only did they experience their wish, they likely made it come true in the real world as well. This feels very familiar to the Blue Fairy’s actions, who guides Pinocchio but is also hands-free in his fate. She gave him not only an opportunity, but a choice, which is powerful on its own.
Perhaps this book is a creation of the Blue Fairy herself? (Or maybe she’s inside the mirror on the book cover LMAO this is a common crack theory of mine)
The mystery remains, so feel free to help me out here !! (゚´ω`゚)゚。 The last shots of the book definitely helped, but I’m still a little disappointed that there was never a clear ending and answer

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I was rereading the prologue to collect some information for a response and came across this interesting tidbit from Crowley:
Tumblr media
“The student selection process has not erred once in its century of existence!” So the Mirror of Darkness has been the one selecting and sorting students for 100ish years. This aligns with what we knew about NRC’s nearing 100 loss streak against RSA.
BUT THAT’S REALLY WEIRD???? Because we now know that NRC has been around for MUCH longer than 100ish years. Lilia first got his invitation to the school 500 years ago:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Meaning that NRC was still a thing 500 years ago?? But if we take what Crowley said in the prologue into consideration, that means that the Mirror of Darkness was a recent change in the selection and sorting process. For those 400 other years, some other method was used.
Well, TWST???? Care to elaborate??? To explain????? 😭
At this point, we still do not know how long Crowley has been headmaster for. He seems to have been the one in charge when Lilia decided to enroll in NRC 3 years ago, as Lilia thanks Crowley specifically for allowing him to be a student:
Tumblr media
Crowley’s beef with Ambrose the 63rd in book 5 seems to indicate a long-standing rivalry. According to Crowley’s Raven Jacket vignettes, he was around as headmaster when Trein was tenured and Crewel was a student. Crowley also questions his own age, wondering how many decades ago he encountered and recruited the cafeteria’s skilled ghost chefs.
Tumblr media
Therefore, I believe it’s entirely possible that he has been headmaster for at least the 100ish years of NRC’s losing streak. The question now is how long has Crowley been headmaster for??
If it was more than 500 years ago, then it debunks the “Crowley is Raverne/Malleus’s dad” theory, since it was Raverne who told Lilia it may be valuable to go to that school even after Lilia had tossed the acceptance letter away. How could Raverne be headmaster of NRC and be an ambassador for another country? Why wouldn’t Lilia be aware of this other occupation?
If it was less than 500 years, then it throws suspicion upon Crowley’s identity because WOW, why’s this new headmaster suddenly taking up the reins at this school that he told his friend several hundred years ago to reconsider?? And seeing how it was Crowley who let Lilia in, that’s even more shady. This would also explain the mask he wears at all times, perhaps to keep Lilia from noticing who he really is? (Though the only way this would work is if Crowley was also purposefully faking his voice, as Lilia implies that Raverne’s voice sounds like Malleus’s.)
But then thinking about how the Mirror of Darkness only started picking students 100 years ago… That means whoever was headmaster 500 prior used a different selection method??? And how does that fit into Crowley’s unknown length of tenure as NRC’s headmaster?? 💀
I don’t know if I really ended up reaching a conclusion with this post but I’d figure I’d still put it out there in case anyone found this interesting or wanted to expand on these ideas ^^

More of the Twst Stardew Valley au!
Just because I like it and want to continue.
Part One
Part Two
Tumblr media
I've mentioned before that the witch that turns your chicken eggs into void eggs is Malleus grandma. That also means the witches hut is also his grandmas house. In that quest line you learn more about Malleus backstory of how he was orphaned and raised by his grandma and Lilia. And how his childhood was all about learning magic and thus he never got used to making friends. That is until he meets Yuu.
When you go down into the mines, the deeper levels have the blot phantoms for you to fight.
Fleur Town is the neighboring town you can take by bus, and there you can meet Rollo and friends. You can buy things off of them there, and yes, like Fellow and Giddel, there is a quest to get him to move to Night Raven.
If you marry Epel, he will occasionally gift you an apple or even an apple sapling.
Marja is kinda like the Evelyn in this au. Your sweet local granny who will occasionally gift you food if you befriend her. Specifically her famous apple pie.
The towns little school house sadly does not have much to offer in terms of arts programs. So Vil has occasionally volunteered to teach the kids about acting and helping them put on small shows for their families for them. Maybe a heart event or quest line for Vil is to help him collect supplies for the kids show. " Farmer, help! I need this amount of wood and this amount of cloth so I we can build the sets and costumes for the children."
In the same vein as the farmer going into Robin and Demetrius room in the game, and finding books about blended families, if you go into Falena and Ashas bedroom, you'll find books about how to recognize being the Golden Child and moving forward from there. One of Falenas friendship heart events is him expressing how he wishes to be closer to his brother and recognizing that their father played favorites and wasn't a good parent to Leona.
Again in the same vein as above, part of Leonas storyline is learning about his childhood and always being ignored by their father, and when he wasn't, being compared to Falena and how that soured his relationship with his brother.
If you marry Leona, The Kingscholars recognize you as a member of the family and make references to it. Like Cheka referring to Farmer Yuu as Auntie/Uncle/etc.
Idia has once, and only once, attempted to go into he mines and considered joining the adventures guild, thinking it would be like one of his fantasy RPGs. He was sorely mistaken and never did it again. He saw one green slime and got the fuck out.
Cater lives in a house with his two sisters and they are almost always arguing over the division of chores.
Once Yuu starts getting close to Riddle, his mother will have a cutscene telling them that Riddle has a bright future ahead of him, and that Yuu should tread lightly around him so as not to ruin anything.
Like Kent in game, you don't meet Lilia until after the first year in game. Baul, Silver, Malleus, and Sebek all mentioned Lilia throughout that first year. From they tell Yuu, Lilia is a veteran and the leader of the adventurers guild and is off on his travels. Hes written to Silver that he will be back soon, and then the mysterious Lilia shows on your doorstep at the start of Spring of year 2 to introduce himself.
Ruggie lives in trailer just outside of town and close to where he works, he mentions he sends money to his grandma back home. Obviously if you marry Ruggie, his financial situation is much better, and he has dialogue about how he can help his granny so much more now thanks to you for it. The house is always in top shape and the animals fed when Ruggie is your husband.
Crowley is always hatching schemes to bring in more tourists and business to town. So he often ropes Farmer into helping him get supplies for whatever event or ideas he has in mind to bring people to Night Raven. That usually includes handing over fliers to Rollo to hang up in Fleur Town. Or gathering wood to build stands for the farmers market he decided to open.
If you marry Jack, his personal add on room and hobby corner in the yard is full of exercise equipment and his cactuses. He has dialogue about how it's great being able to jog around the farm in the morning and how you shouldn't strain yourself and ask him if there's any heavy lifting to be done.
The cave on your farm that lets you either grow mushrooms or collect fruit are two separate offers. Jade will tell you that the cave on your property is a prime spot for growing mushrooms and he can set it up. Or Lilia will come and tell you about the fruit bars in the area and how he can help so bats are more likely to hang out in their and this leaves fruit for you to collect. You can choose to accept one offer over the other, if you reject both at the time, you can tell them you changed your mind later.
Mr. And Mrs. Shroud will ask Yuu about the blot monsters in the mines, and regularly put out commissions on the community board or Guild about the monsters. They are scientists that research them and always welcome whatever info you tell them, or giving them the stone items they drop when you kill them.
Royal Sword Mart Manager, Ambrose has a grandson he mentions if you come over to shop. Eventually said grandson, Arthur, will come to town, stating he's come to live with his grandfather now that he's getting older and Arthur worries for him and his health. Yes Arthur is also a marriage candidate.
Trey works at the local bakery and often gifts Yuu things like cake and bread as they become better friends.
One of Riddles cut scenes is Yuu overhearing a conversation between Riddle and his mother. Mrs. Rosehearts complaining about Riddles friends, Trey and Che'nya. Riddle tries to defend them, but his mother won't hear it. Once she walks away, Riddle notices the farmer, he explains how his mother was always strict and homeschooled him over sending him to the local school house with the other kids. Especially because she didn't approve of the local kids like Trey and Che'nya, who would always sneak Riddle out to play. If you marry Riddle, he has plenty of dialogue about how he's excited to invite Trey and Che'nya over for dinner, what sweets they should serve for dessert, and how much his mother would disapprove.

Lost in the Book with Stitch library book
As far as I know, the ending of the Lost in the Book with Stitch event hasn’t been released yet, but I may have figured out the deal with this book
Tumblr media
This book has a mirror engraved on the cover (this world LOVES using mirrors in impractical spaces), and it came out of no where. There’s no library tag, no title, and Lilia says it must be personal item based on this.
Now, I don’t know if the book itself is a reference to a Disney movie, but what I’m thinking is that this book belongs to ROYAL SWORD ACADEMY.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The mirror in this book looks nothing like the dark mirror. And doesn’t the design around the mirror remind you of a hilt of a sword? The jewel on top even somewhat resemble the crown in RSA’s logo. To go even further, I think the book originally belonged to Ambrose the 63rd, because not only does this book seem powerful, he’s based off Merlin! This type of magic seems right up his alley
Now, I have two ideas of how it ended up here in the school library.
1. Either Ambrose visited the school for some reason and accidentally left it there, or Crowley just nabbed the book himself
2. Chenya nabbed it from Ambrose, which would make sense regarding his mischievousness, and hid it in the NRC library. The school barrier seems to do nothing to stop Chenya from getting into the school, so I think it makes sense for him to do this.
As much as I love blaming Crowley for everything, my bets so far are on Chenya, because I really doubt Crowley nabbing a personal book from another school (and from another HEADMAGE) just to leave it in the library. But it would make sense considering Chenya is based off the Cheshire Cat, who has less regards for personal items such as this.
Until the ending is released, who knows if we’ll get the answer…I’m ready to be clowned on if I’m wrong haha

Since malleus is top 5 the most powerful mages (iirc?) how powerful is top 1? I hope that they someday give us more information of the top 4
Would be funny if top 1 is just a regular mortal who dresses up casually like a normal person lmao
Tumblr media
At first, I thought that one of the other top 5 would have to be Malleus's grandmother, Maleficia, and that she would be above her grandson in ranking due to her long-lived experiences... But seeing how her magic can't brute force override Malleus's UM, then either 1) she cannot be in the top 5, 2) she is in the top 5, but is slotted in a place below Malleus, therefore she is still "weaker" in comparison, or 3) she is ranked higher than Malleus, but his overblot boosts his power to a point where it overtakes hers.
(Side note: While we don't know where exactly Malleus falls in the ranking, I believe he is not #1. This is because if he was then everyone would be referring to him as "the" strongest mage in the world, not in the top 5.) I think other contenders for the remaining spots (at least of the characters we know of right now) could be Crowley and Ambrose, since they head prestigious magical institutions. Crowley more specifically has implied that he is much more powerful than he often lets on. However, I don't really have a basis for this besides that. Twisted Wonderland is such a big world, so it's totally possible that the other 4 in the top 5 mages are scattered around and we have not met them or even heard about them yet. (And if that's the case, then I'd like to know why the world's strongest mage isn't being informed about what's going on in book 7 and rushing to deck Malleus www) I'd love to learn more about these people and see how they stack against him. asihbfbyoqew8WVPbrw #1 being just an average joe schmoe or an innocuous mob character somewhere... Honestly, that's so real, kinda reminds me of how some irl billionaires are obsessed with the "clean" and minimalist aesthetic with just like some pants, a watch, and a bajillion dollar plain black shirt yes, I'm talking about Steve Jobs.

The Papa Crowley au, where Crowley ends up having to lean on the other Headmages for his support system.
Crowley doesn't really have any family, well, not much in the way of a good family. So when all the other staff and students are gone for the summer, he realizes he's all alone with this kid with not much help or company. Usually he would Fuck Off to some tropical vacation for a few months, but he has to watch Yuu and Grim that whole time, and taking care of a small child and monster cat all on his own in a place they are unfamiliar with is not ideal. The idea of being inside all day for the whole summer with them is also not ideal. Plus Yuu is still adjusting to being in Twisted Wonderland, they haven't even been enrolled in school themselves yet, so when Crowley asked if they would like to go to say camp or something to meet other kids, they were terrified of being left behind. So this man has no clue what to do with his young charge. And then he remembered Ambrose has a grandson.
So as much as it pains him, he rung up the rival Headmage and asked to schedule a playdate with little Arthur so Yuu can hang out with a kid their own age and be comfortable being watched by other people. To which Ambrose happily agrees. It goes well, they got to a local park and the kids have fun and become friends, and Yuu becomes comfortable being watched by Ambrose and his wife, because they're nice and they get to see Arthur.
Meanwhile Clara did not need to be asked. She heard from Crowley from the start that he had taken in a child, and now she finally had time to properly meet and get to know them. Clara and children has the same effect of a kid meeting a Disney Princess. Here is this sweet lady that gets down to their level and speaks gently, and Yuu becomes very comfortable around her. So Clara becomes the person to call when he needs support or help.
Basically all the Headmages become Yuus found family.

Isle of Sages
Thinking about the island that NRC and RSA are both on, the Isle of Sages is very interesting name, and I realized how perfect it is. Of course, the island could be just named after the plant, thus rendering my argument and research useless, BUT ITS FINE...
The philosophical definition of a sage is someone who attained wisdom. This varies from the philosopher, who seeks understanding of the world and makes theories (just like me fr). By the way, there was also a title given to wise men in Ancient Greece, totaling up to The Seven Sages/Seven Wise Men. But when delving deeper into what makes a sage, it defines the differences between NRC and RSA, and I think two characters in particular highlight it:
Tumblr media
Dire Crowley and Ambrose the 63rd.
To some groups in Ancient Greece, sages were revered as wise people, living the ideal life, and the word is sometimes evens synonymous with 'good person.' It's to the point that sages were regarded as god-like, and their actions were what a god would do. Sages were the only individuals who know true happiness and could never be harmed by life's troubles, illness, or even death. Nothing would contaminate their soul, for they knew true peace. Marcus Aurelius, a Roman emperor, even said sages were "who [had] knowledge of the beginning and the end, and all pervading reason which orders the universe in its determinate cycles till the end of time." Hm. Depending on the theories you have about the outcome of TWST, this quote hits a little close to home.
On the other hand, Plato, a famous Ancient Greek philosopher, DESPISED sages- or to be exact, sophists. Sophos is the greek word for wise man/wisdom, which could loosely be considered the equivalent of a sage. Coincidentally, sophists were TEACHERS who were said to have specialized in their craft, often in politics or ethics. However, their classes demanded steep prices, and Plato vilified them. In his work, The Sophist, he describes them as merchants of false knowledge, hunters of the young and wealthy, and athletes in the sport of words. They were delusional over their own god-like status. Basically, Plato believed that a sophists priorities were filling their classes with wealthy students to make money, as they searched for power over true knowledge. A sophists teachings revolved around persuasion and public opinion over law and justice. Basically, they made their living through deception (according to Plato).
...See where I'm getting at here?
Tumblr media
With sages sounding like absolute saints or the rottenest swindlers, it sounds exactly of what's going on with NRC vs RSA, and no one sums it up better than the Headmages of their respective schools. Crowley is...well, Crowley, who is revealed to uphold nepotism in Book 4 with Kalim being Housewarden, is overall very, very greedy. Thinking about it, there's a money-related motivation in nearly chapter? The prologue with him and the chandelier, Book 2 with the Spelldrive games, Book 3 with the contract he made with Azul to share some profit from the Mostro Lounge, Book 4 and Kalim, Book 5 with the festival and ratings, Book 6 has Idia's family pay him off, not to mention any side events haha. Nearly all of these cases involves students. Plato is rolling in his grave
But Ambrose the 63rd gives off a more traditional wise and caring mentor vibe, who knew there was something wrong at the end of the Book 5 (personally i want to punt that old man out a window BUT the vibe of his character is important to note) because of the leftover magic in the stadium. He's not above showing off, so there's still that hint of eccentricity from the character he's twisted from: Merlin from 1963's Sword in the Stone. Speaking of Merlin, apparently he was considered the most powerful wizard in the world with THE ABILITY TO SEE THE FUTURE. By TWST standards and the fact that fae exist, Ambrose may not be in the top 5 mages, but he has to be incredibly powerful! The Marcus Aurelius quote feels so oddly relevant that I can't convince myself that it's a coincidence anymore. What do these old men know??
Tumblr media
There is a layer of significance in the island's name, because in the Phantom Bride event, Rook even says that Crowley is his sage. Honestly, I think Rook is a little sus and I want to theorize about him too, but there is an actual connection between Crowley and a sage.
In the end, as like most of my theories, I don't actually know what any of this means haha. I'd like to think that it's a testament to both Crowley and Ambrose's power, and how their rule has 'shaped' the students that they govern. In Book 1, Riddle states that Crowley's habit of tolerating troublemakers is going to throw everything into chaos one day- and I don't think he's far from the truth. It really goes to show how Crowley might just be the one pulling the strings behind the scenes, and how his own corruption is seeping into his surroundings (may or may not be literal 👀)

Hello Miss Raven!!!
So you know some fanfics about Yuu/MC getting kidnapped by RSA cause they think that "They are too good for NRC"? Well do you think they ever tried to convince Silver to leave NRC? Because he literally has the qualifications to be a little Disney princess/princess(being that hes inspired by Aurora)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't know, RSA doesn't really seem like the type to kidnap or poach people for their school...? (Unless you were being completely hyperbolic when you used the term "kidnap" www) If Yuu were to go to RSA at all, I picture it more as being more of a temporary exchange student program or an offer extended to them by Ambrose the 63rd. I feel that we see this idea a lot in fandom works because we are curious about the RSA boys and/or want Yuu to go here and to help solve their issues too.
I personally love seeing RSA!AUs (both art and writing) for the various TWST characters, but I don't think this will actually be done in canon. If we're specifically talking about Silver, I don't think he has a current desire to leave (and nor would he be tempted to), especially since his Diasomnia family is at NRC. Additionally, while he may be princess-like, Silver also has qualities which are trademarks of NRC. For example, he is shown to be competitive with Sebek in matters of knightly duties and has difficulties with expressing himself to others. He's not really what I'd describe as spoiled or prissy either (derogatory descriptions given to describe the RSA kids), he can get quite serious and willing to fight when it comes to the safety of the people he cares about. Yes, he talks about wanting everyone to get along but that makes sense as a part of his character on account of how he was raised (while the RSA students are presented as inherently trusting). Silver may be more agreeable than your average NRC kid, but he's still got some of that school's spirit in him. He's definitely a part of Night Raven College's community.
While Silver may not be everyone's bestie, I don't see them finding him off-putting enough to want him to go somewhere else. Even if his peers saw him in a positive light, they wouldn’t think he’s “too good” for NRC—not when NRC kids think they’re better than RSA. They don’t see RSA as “better”, and nor would the generally prideful students of NRC confess they think anyone is “better” than themselves, Silver or otherwise.
I also just disagree entirely with the notion that "good" people go to RSA and "bad" people go to NRC. We may view it that way on a metatextual level (as players who are familiar with Disney villains), but it definitely isn't presented that way in-universe. (Why would Kalim, Rook, and Silver be attending NRC if only "bad" people attend?) RSA and NRC both just happen to be prestigious magical schools and rivals, and nothing more than that. Judging people by the labels of "good" and "bad" by themselves are also blanket terms which ignore nuance. Just because a character does something good or is generally well-behaved doesn't necessarily make them "good", and nor does doing something bad or being ill-mannered necessarily make them "bad". That's one of the major themes of Twisted Wonderland, getting us to see the "good" in "bad" people. I'm sure that if we delved into RSA's population, we'd also find that the perfect presenting students aren't so perfect after all.
