"lovie..." simon started out, a gentle hand on your back. you hit his chest with the back of your head playfully, "no, no, this will be good for us. first diner party in our new house" "HOUSE? HOW LONG HAVE YOU HAD SOMEONE" he wanted to scream at simon's face, what came out however was a "i dinnae want to be a bother to you both" you insisted and he felt bad (but also curious), so dinner it was. simon took off his mask to please you and well, it was the comfort of his home. he rolled his eyes as johnny quipped that he certainly was "quite the opposite". from that day forward, it was the three of you against...manchester i guess?

children, the both of them

johnny tags along whenever you two are running errands on leave or on off days when they're both stationed at home. sometimes it's just you and him, or him and simon, or all three of yall. it started with a "we're having brunch, wanna join?" and now it's more like "we're going to the zoo, 9 am, get there" they make up the weirdest challenges and it feels like you're babysitting them both. simon, doesn't see it, he's a grown adult man, he's not silly. johnny says it's just in his nature like how it's natural that wombats poop in cubes (he walked ahead to read that tidbit and walked back to regurgitate it back at the two of you). challenges include: simon and johnny getting into a long debate about which is better, the smoked salmon crepes or the chocolate crepes, and when they mix them together, who can eat it all without puking? who can get to the butterfly sanctuary the fastest without running? who can find your favorite fish in the 30,000 gallon (113562.35 liter) fish tank WHILE holding their breath as if they were swimming in the water johnny telling you that his jokes are the best, simon butting in and using the "i'm your boyfriend, surely my jokes are better" card. you wanted to throw them both out of the car as they kept going back and forth with the most stupidest, tasteless, dad jokes ever. johnny saying he can drive better than simon. simon saying he can fly a broken helicopter and land safely. you're in the driver's seat. simon quipped that he would be a good artist compared to this shit's canvas (picasso) and johnny saying that his cat can paint better. simon said dogs can do it better. johnny said- you get the idea simon threw up after the 8th time on a rollercoaster. johnny threw up on the 9th. you, however, went through a nice scenic boat ride :)

quiet mornings

you three are closer than yall think. whenever they're both away, you always miss the noise they bring in the kitchen, trying to figure out how to make muffins or...popcorn. the three of you doing the daily wordle, crossword, and sudoku. "what's c for?" "c4 is an explosive, bonnie" "no johnny, what does C STAND FOR? fucking idiot..." mornings when you both are expecting johnny are never quiet, especially when he announces that he's there by knocking on the front door and saying "it's johnny!" when someone opens it. even when he's not there, you can at least hear simon's almost silent breaths if it wasn't for how close you two were. you miss them when they have to leave, you know it can't be forever, but damnit you missed the buzzing of them both. you don't miss, however, johnny and simon playing drunk monopoly.

[Name] was an enigma to Cale’s group. They know that she’s not from their world. Know that she can predict the future to a certain extent. However, beyond that information, they don’t know much about the transmigrator. 

They barely know anything personal about [Name].

Which is a bit unfair if one thinks about it deeply. [Name] knows everyone like the back of her hand, but they don’t even know if the name she has given her is her real one.

But it doesn’t matter much. Cale’s group is not one to pry information that could possibly be sensitive out of a comrade. They all have their secrets after all, maybe [Name] was uncomfortable talking about her previous life.

Well, that was until Rosalyn saw her crying one day.

It was a normal day, a good one even. For the first time in a while, there’s absolutely nothing to do. Even Rosalyn’s research has been put on hold. And so she decided to find [Name] so they could try to newly opened cafe in town, and have a girl’s day.

“[Name] are you busy–”

The mage stopped in her tracks as she heard the transmigrator sob from the other side of the door. [Name]’s cries were quiet but it caused a loud concern to ring in Rosalyn’s heart.

“Why are you crying? Did something happen?”

Rosalyn opened the door, panic spread through her body as [Name] is known to never cry.

“Ro-rosa..?”

[Name] looked up as the door opened. Her knees touched her chest, her head resting on top of it. Tear stains could be seen on her clothes, it looked like she had been crying for a while now.

“I’m fine, don’t worry nothing happened.”

She reassured Rosalyn as she wiped her eyes with her sleeves. Her voice was wobbly, not helping her case and certainly not making the ex-royal believe her.

Rosalyn took [Name]’s hands on her left hand and wiped the transmigrator’s tears with the handkerchief she bought with her right hand. Concern is etched on her face as she gives [Name]’s hands comforting strokes.

“Tell this unnie what’s wrong.”

Both have forgotten about the door being wide open. Making everyone, the three kids and Lock, hear everything they are talking about.

“It’s a silly thing… I just realized it’s been so long since I saw my husband…”

Rosalyn fought the urge to overreact at the news that one of her friends had a husband she didn’t know about.

“From your previous world?”

“...Yeah, it’s been so long since I saw him. It doesn’t help that when I last saw him it looked like he was going on a very dangerous mission.”

[Name] was crestfallen as she spoke. It was clear just how much she missed him.

“My children too, I only saw my twins for a short while!”

The whiplash Rosalyn is getting from these shocking pieces of information is too much.

Good thing another redhead arrived to save the day.

“Why are you four hiding over there?”

Cale asked the four children and only then did the two women realise how the door was open. Rosalyn shot [Name] an apologetic look. She didn’t mean for her personal life to be broadcasted like that.

“No need to be sorry, it wasn’t really a secret. There wasn’t just a chance to bring it up.”

[Name] assured the mage as she gestured over to the five outside her door. Beckoning them to go inside.

As Cale and the children walked towards the transmigrator, they updated Cale as to what they heard.

“So you had a husband before coming here?”

“Yes, my husband Sylus… I didn’t even get his limited card before I could… huek!”

The transmigrator teared up once more and every one pitied her despite their confusion. Just what card is she talking about? Maybe it’s an earth thing they don’t know about.

“[Name]-nim are you talking about a credit card?”

Choi Han peeked from outside. He was just passing by when he heard the children updating Cae about his fellow transmigrator’s life.

“Huh? Oh no, I mean he did have a black card but that’s not what I’m talking about.”

Now Choi Han was part of the confused crowd. If she didn’t mean a savings card what could she be talking about then?

Meanwhile, in the corner of the room, Cale squinted his eyes. That man knows for a fact that [Name] hasn’t even had her first kiss yet. What are all these lies about a husband? 

…Plus the name she said sounded very familiar.

“Could you tell us more about him?”

“Yeah tell us please nya!”

Raon and Hong encouraged [Name] to talk more, interested in the slightest information about their mysterious friend’s personal life.

“Well, his very tall. Around 187cm I think? He kind of looks like a vampire with his white hair and red eyes. I can confidently say that his one of the most handsome guys out there.”

Everyone became even more intrigued. Just how great was this husband of hers? [Name] sounded very in love with him. He also sounded well-off based on Choi Han’s explanation of how a black card is like the equivalent of a golden plaque.

“Oh, he also has this thing called Evol. Basically he has powers, his power in particular is controlling energy. His super strong, he can even heal wounds.”

From the corner of the room, Cale suppressed a sigh as he placed the pieces together. Instead, he opted to silently facepalm.

The conversation about [Name]’s supposed “husband” lasted for a few more minutes before everyone filed out of her room. Leaving only her and Cale behind.

“What was your affinity level before you got here?”

“Affinity 60… But omg, you play love and deespace too!?”

[Name] looked at the redhead man who was finally letting out that deep, imparted sigh he had been holding in since earlier.

“No, I just saw forum leaks about your husband Sylus.”

“Ohhhh, I was wondering how you knew when he was barely out when I transmigrated…”

An awkward silence lingered around the two. Both of them don’t know how to proceed with the new information. In fact, [Name] didn’t know that game existed on Cale’s earth.

Wait was it possible that they were from the same earth?

But he had powers…

[Name] decided to not think about it.

“Next time, refrain from speaking about your fictional husbands as if they’re real… I think you nearly gave Rosalyn a heart attack?”

[Name] looked at Cale who was on his way to go back to his room. She didn’t know the repercussions of casually speaking about her otome game. The redhead only looked at her as if she was a lost cause.

You checked your outfit five times in the last minute, trying to find a way to make it look even nicer.

Wally had, suddenly, decided to take you out on a date for the night. He only spoke about having a picnic to watch the sunset, claiming that he just really needed to have you by his side that day.

That was no problem, you would be by his side until the world ended and you were nothing but another skeleton under the dirt.

Still, you wanted to look nice! The best you could. Even after being his partner for such a long time, you couldn't help but still feel the butterflies whenever he talked to you, hugged you or kissed you. Having a crush on your boyfriend surely was one of the things that would never end.

Julie couldn't help you tonight, apparently, she had to work on some stuff that was really important. That was okay, you thought before noticing how hard it was to fix yourself without the help of your personal stylist.

You heard a knock on the door, he was here already?! In a hurry, you finished putting on your shoes/heels and left the house, completely forgetting to even bring a coat.

The first sight you had after leaving was Wally, holding a bouquet of your favorite flowers.

"For you, my dearest." He spoke, eyes staring right back at yours.

"Oh my!" You grabbed the bouquet, smiling and blushing like a teenager in love. "Thank you, they are lovely."

"Just as lovely as you." Wally kissed your cheek and held your hand.

You chuckled while hiding your red face in the bouquet. What a charmer. He pulled your hand, walking both of you to a specific area, and that was Poppy's garden. Fairy lights illuminated the place, a table rested with two chairs on the center of the yard. Candles sat on top of the table, giving it a romantic atmosphere.

"Oh my stars... Wally..." You had your hand covering your mouth.

"Did you liked it?"

"Don't be silly, I loved it."

He smiled softly, feeling proud of his work. Then, he went over to the table, pulling a chair and looking at you. Understanding the message, you chuckled before walking over there and sitting down.

"What a gentleman." You waved your hand like a fan while the other one settled the bouquet down by your side.

"Ha ha, only the best for my love!" He sat down by the other end of the table.

You decided to take a look on the table, surprising yourself. A bottle of champagne sat by the middle, two flute glasses being next to it. In front of you, a plate with your favorite dinner with a fork/spoon/chopsticks by the side of the dish.

"You somehow keep surprising me..." You looked at him. "Oh my stars, everything is... I'm way too amazed to find the words right now."

He chuckled at your reaction, leaving a smile finding is place on your face.

"Like I said, just the best for my beloved." He held his face with his hand, cupping it as he watched your expression turn into pure gratitude.

"Thank you so much for this, I'll love you even after the end of the world." You held your tears back, it was not the time to get so emotional.

"And I love you like Van Gogh loved the color yellow." Okay, he was gonna make you cry at some point.

He popped open the champagne, pouring ir into your glass and his. After that, you both started to talk about each other's day, you kept finding yourself mouth agape each time he came into intricate details about how he planned that afternoon for you. It looked like it was a long day for him, you laughed, were concerned, surprised and excited about each part of his story.

hua cheng was kind of a xie lian gatekeeper for a while, but he regaled yin yu with stories and let yin yu into his temple dedicated to xie lian

e'ming trusts yin yu and likes him to equal levels to xie lian

they have some little odd creatures of mysterious background that they keep and raise together in paradise mansion

yin yu asked hua cheng to teach him how to draw and paint and hua cheng has little lessons for him when they're both free

yin yu's interested in different kinds of masks, so hua cheng gifted him a room and funds to invest in new ones

they have chill time once a month when they're required to leave their work to just spend an entire day together

hua cheng's love language to yin yu is acts of service and gift giving

Showing up on the hangout spot to met your friend, Nobara, you caught lots of attention with your pretty pink dress and heels. no other eyes mattered more than the ones of Itadori Yuji, her friend from high school who decided to tag along on the mall.

Yuji had no expectations of you, that doesn’t mean that when you jumped on top of Nobara and started to talk happily, he didn’t feel like that day was becoming the most beautiful of the year — what’s the sound of birds in the morning or waves in the afternoon compared to your voice, Yuji wonders and comes with one answer: insignificant.

It takes you to finish your yapping to notice him, and much like he does, you also fall terribly easily. Unfortunately for Nobara, third wheeling was the only spot she could have in that moment.

So, you did went and made your shopping of makeup and clothes with her, but Yuji was the one taking most of your attention. Your friend tried really hard to be annoyed by it, but let’s be real, this encounter was most likely her idea, she did her own matchmaking of the two of you.

Your social battery started to get low after a few hours, a small pout forming on your lips, Nobara poked at you, but you only sighed, taking Yuji’s attention.

He didn’t want you to go, and with your desperate eyes at him, he knew you didn’t want him to go as well.

“Let’s go watch a movie.” He says, and that’s where Nobara draws the line of what she accept and doesn’t.

“Yeah! No.” You and him stare at her confused. “I mean, sure, you both go! Y/n has been wanting to see this movie with dragons for some time now, but I’m tired.”

In the dark room of the theater, after saying goodbye and a small thanks to Nobara, you are seated by Yuji’s side. Sharing popcorn and a cup of soda with two straws, you had thought you would be quiet, recharging to get back your animation to talk by the end of the movie.

Surprisingly, soon as a dragon appeared, you started to ramble in whispers about cool facts, and Yuji stared at you intensely, so focused that he would’ve prefer to be seeing you in the big screen rather than that movie. But scratch that, having you soo close is much worth.

That’s the first time you kissed, and can you really blame him? Both of your faces so close, an empty and cold dark room, and you looked so adorable with your dress and his jacket on top. No, you really can’t. You wouldn’t dare complain, instead you relented to his kisses, and many other dates, and many other kisses.

You do have from time to time those low battery moments, and thanks to Yuji, your now charming boyfriend, you have your own personal charger, working with small pecks and questions to make you yap about whatever you like. As always, Itadori keeps himself busy admiring you.

a bunch of the comments were saying stuff like "and just WAIT until she discovers chai". i didn't know what chai was, but i DO know that ao3 isn't as popular in a lot of fandom spaces these days so i checked it out, wondering if it was something new, but turns out it's character ai?

which is SO interesting to me because like,,,, the whole thing that i've always LOVED about fandom spaces is the act of mutual creation.

i feel like the thing that is so amazing about fandom isn't just that it's a continuation of the canon stories, but that it's an entirely different way to create relationships with stories. exploring your relationship to a character, as a consumer, and using that to become a creator. taking what resonates to you from the canon and further exploring that tiny facet of it.

i remember that post on here from about ten years ago that argued that canon which tends to be dark has a lot of fanwork that's more lighthearted (college aus, post-war slice of life stuff) whereas lighter canon material gives way to darker fanwork. that sort of relationship with the text, a willingness to explore it on all fronts, is what makes fandom kinda amazing.

the way that popular fanfictions completely recontexualize fanon as a whole. how popular pieces of fanart can affect the way the fandom interprets characters and their relationships to each other. fandom has ALWAYS been interesting because it's constantly building on itself. it's like one giant mass that's influenced by thousands of people and each of the individual ways that they resonate with the text.

to me, fandom was never a passive experience. growing up with a lot of mental illness, relating to people in real life wasn't easy. but in an online space where the only thing i needed to enter a thriving community was opinions on different characters and relationships, i could find a space for myself. i know a lot of fanartists and fic writers and general fandom people feel the same way.

and i was kinda shocked at the amount of people who go to ai for fandom. i know back when chatGPT first got big, a lot of people were using it to write fanfiction. and i just think is totally misses the fundamental joy of fandom. because like, i want to read something written by someone who cried while learning about sasuke's backstory.

i want to see art by someone who's stayed up all night scrolling ship tags on tumblr. the whole point of fandom, to me, isn't just that my brain latches onto *thing* and so i want more *thing* (which it does). but i want that more *thing* to be created by someone who has thoughts on the text. someone who watched voltron and said "yeah this is kinda cool but i have ideas about keith's characterization in season three that i think was underexplored in the show and i want to try my hand at it".

anyways, i am so appreciative towards anyone who's ever drawn characters in their styles, had them wearing silly costumes, put them in an pokemon au, started conversation about which college major u think the dungeon meshi characters would choose.

everyone who writes and creates original stories about ur faves suffering, bleeding, owning a pet store, celebrating their birthdays, having sex for the first time.

the act of mutual creation which defines fandom is incredible. the fact that there's a whole community of people who have different takes on characters, who hotly debate whether it makes more sense if the character with the canonically horrific backstory would still have that backstory in the modern day. it's what makes these communities alive, active places that you can explore. it's incredible.

the ability to see a text, and to create such a personal relationship with it that it sparks more creation. that's what it's about.

Hi hi hi stares.. can you do a tsukasa suou x gn reader where Tsukasa has a silly crush on the reader since yk they're perfect n all, and they sometimes like to drop off sweets(candy, that Tsukasa likes)(and sometimes baked goods from the bakery they work at) then one day after the reader gives out sweets n baked goods, they went out to grab something) then Arashi asked everyone's opinions about the sweets/baked goods they bring in, so when it was Tsukasa's turn, they said " the baked goods are delicious! And the candies are sweet.. just like the person who made it. . ." He was supposed to mutter it to theirselves trailing off, but no! The entire knights group heard it and was like "God you have a crush on [Name]?!!" But tsukasa denied it, but it kept going and going till Tsukasa accepted the fact that they have a crush on the reader, one of the knight members gave tsukasa a nice concept where tsukasa leaves out anonymous letters complimenting the reader in secret, they can always drop it off to the bakery they work at, so they do, basically reader gets lovemail dumped, then they ask who keeps giving them letters?? So they asked one of the people who work there and ask who, but the workers had no idea and just said that they had red hair and purple eyes, then reader just sighed and asked them to ask for their name next time so they can thank them, so one day while tsukasa entered ready to drop of a letter, the worker did ask what was their name, but tsukasa actually said their name bc they're a bozo !! So after dropping off the letter, going to the practice room, dude noticed that "Oh my god why did I give them my name?! I don't even know what they're gonna do with it!!" Then the knights members tease him for that!! Then when the worker did a name drop that tsukasa was the one who gave it reader was blushing and stuff, so when they did came in the practice room the next day, they ask the members if they could leave the practice room(or anywhere) for awhile since they wanna talk to Tsukasa in private, they leave then reader asks "yo were you the one writing them letters." Then tsukasa was like 'God I blew my cover' but they were looking down and blushed like an idiot, then nodded, then the reader says "thank you tsukasa.. I actually feel the same way." Then they hug sorry if it's too specific!! [Extra if the other knight members barge in as if they were listening to the conversation lol]

HI ANON!! i love this idea it's so silly, i had to shorten it a little bit so it wouldn't drag out for too long, but i hope you enjoy it all the same!

there's a lot of things that are regarded as “common sense” in this world.

things like the sky is blue, the grass is green, the sun makes everything warm, tsukasa suou is in for it the next time he visits your cafe.

what started off as an off-time visit became a regular occurrence. because it's always nice and quiet when he comes in, and the pastries are delicious, and not because his mood instantly rises whenever he sees you smiling behind the counter with your white hat and peach shaped pin and sparkling eyes that makes his heart skip a beat.

it was all arashi’s fault. she was the one who suggested this idea, why tsukasa went along with it, he doesn't know. it’s stupid, it’s childish, and it is so not like him in any way. but it is the better alternative to knights’ neverending taunts and teases about his crush on you.

he breathes a sigh of relief when he doesn’t see you behind the counter today, and is instead greeted by the face of one of your coworkers. in neat and pretty print, the name ‘haruka’ reads across the decorated name tag. “another letter?” she leans over with a knowing grin.

“uh—yeah,” tsukasa fumbles through the pockets of his back and hands the sealed envelope across the baked displays. “i also brought a—”

“suou!” you greet him with a smile like always, waving from behind the back walls with empty trays in your arms, “i didn’t know you were visiting today. you can go ahead and sit anywhere, i’ll be right with you.”

in truth, he wasn’t really here to buy anything, but when you beam at him so nicely—he can’t really bring it in himself to say no.

“hey, you’ve got another letter by the way!” haruka waves the letter between her two fingers, and tsukasa swears his heart has just left his body. surely this wasn’t happening now, when he was standing right there in front of you?

“huh?” you stare dumbfounded at the envelope, catching it clumsily on the trays when she tosses it in your direction. “really? i thought i told you they could stop sending them? i wouldn't want to lead anybody on like that...”

you look almost sad when you pick up the letter in your own hand—like you don't want to open it, like you feel bad for whoever the sender may be. and that thought alone makes tsukasa want to disappear off the face of the world forever.

did you not like the letters? was he actually being a bother this entire time? did you already have feelings for somebody else? did you already have a partner of your own and he was sending the most cheesy poems and paragraphs detailing his affections to someone who was not romantically available?

your coworker rolls her eyes, “come on, weren’t you the one gushing and squealing at the last one that came in? besides this time you’re actually here to—”

“actually—!” tsukasa quickly interrupts the conversation before any more can be said. “i actually have to go, like, right now. rehearsal starts in a few minutes, and i really shouldn’t be late.” he bows apologetically and swiftly makes his way towards the door, trying his best to wave as naturally as possible and ignore the subtle shake in his arms.

“i’ll come by again tomorrow, that’s a promise!”

arashi tries her best to hide her disappointment when tsukasa finally tells her the full story. keyword: tries. because as understanding as arashi is with these kinds of things, it hurts to hear that tsukasa suou had the most golden opportunity—and he did not take it.

by contrast, izumi is unimpressed with this news, holding a hand to his forehead and sighing dramatically with a shake of his head. tsukasa almost wants to chuck his water bottle and hit him square in the face. almost.

“well,” arashi begins, crossing her arms and sends a sympathetic smile towards tsukasa, “there is always next time.”

“there might not be one if he keeps acting this way.”

“shut up! i’ll be perfectly fine!”

the truth—tsukasa suou is not fine. because if there is a god, then it must be having the time of it’s life making his own as miserable as possible.

there comes a short knock at the door, which turns some of the members’ heads, because who in the world knocks on the practice doors? when you slowly crack open the large door and peak your head inside tsukasa swears his chest is about to explode.

“so sorry if i’m interrupting!” you’re quick to apologize, but then you point to tsukasa, “can i actually borrow suou for a second? it won’t be long, i promise!”

he doesn’t even have the time to say anything before he is very rudely shoved outside of the practice room. there's a short second before the door closes, and tsukasa shoots the rest of the members a glare before turning his attention back to you.

“i apologize for their behavior,” he smiles weakly, following you down the hallway. you don’t really know where you're going, but anywhere with a little bit more privacy is better than directly outside where everyone else could probably hear you. “sometimes they get—”

“haruka told me you were the one sending the letters!” you suddenly blurt out of nowhere, cheeks heating up from the sudden exclamation. “she told me after you left, because you seemed really tense when you dropped by and i was worried about you.”

tsukasa is not listening to a single word you're saying. everything is going in one ear and coming straight out of the other. there's a million thoughts running through his mind, and every single one of them is a different variation stemming from ‘god they probably think i’m a total creep.’

but, when he finally snaps out of his ruminating mind, you're standing right in front of him still—with a hand nervously scratching the side of your cheek and eyes that are too shy to meet his own. quietly, in an almost whisper-like tone, tsukasa admits to everything.

that he was the one leaving the letters, that he specifically asked to be anonymous all this time, that he was too cowardly to confess to you directly and that this was the next best option, that it was actually not even his idea at all.

he’s rambling again, and before he can even process it, he feels a pair of lips pressed against the side of his cheek, freezing him in the middle of his sentence.

“you’re really cute like this, suou,” you laugh at him softly, “don’t worry, i like that about you. i like a lot of things about you.”

“huh?” tsukasa stands there dumbfounded in disbelief. what just happened? is this real life? he's not dreaming, is he? all words fail him as he looks at the knowing grin on your face. when did you get so smug, he wonders. “you mean, you also?”

“i'll see you tomorrow, okay?” you press a finger against your lips, almost as if you’d just told him a secret. “remember, you promised!”

before tsukasa can even say anything, you’re already gone. and he is once again stood there like an idiot caught in the rain.

that’s right, he did promise—didn’t he?
