Why did Jasnah betrothe Shallan & Adolin, where Adolin is the most eligible bachelor in Alethkar basically and they have a SIX YEAR AGE GAP. (shallan is 17 adolin is 23 NEVER forget this.)

And not— Renarin. Two year age gap. Shallan would still be tied to the family.

Did Jasnah like sense his gayness or what.

Bruce was admittedly suspicious when Talia requests a meeting, and is admittedly still upset with the entire hiding Damian’s existence from him for literal years. But he also admits that he just… has to take a moment. 

“Run that by me again please?” He had to have misheard, right? Or gotten drugged by something maybe. 

Talia sighs, sounding just as tired as he felt. “Father’s tea supplier has moved to Gotham after an argument, and he wishes to discuss the agreement of him not entering the city- to speak with said vendor.”

At some point in your life, there will be a moment where exactly - or near exactly - half the people in the world are younger than you, and half the people are older.

And I think that moment should be the one your soulmate Mark appears at, not at birth or puberty or something. Both because at birth is kind of boring but it's also very you-centric and soulmates are about the thing outside of you being a part of you, and I think it would be nice to include The World.

But also I think it would have fascinating implications for scientific and social studies. Longevity trends tracked by the average age soul marks appear. Tragedies causing a rash of recent marks to disappear (because the people are no longer the middle). Marks appearing early during baby booms.

does it make anyone else lowkey rly sad sometimes to think about early dan and phil and the fact that they had no idea what was coming. like dan tweeting about cherry lube and uma thurman and waxing poetic on dailybooth about being in love. and phil commenting stop being so damn pretty and tweeting about starbucks adventures and speeding up time. neither of them worrying about where their hands were placed in the background of some random person's vlog. because yeah, maybe they disregarded the "plausible" part of plausible deniability. but how could they have known? why would an 18 year old in love, with 1200 followers, have any reason to think twice before making a joke about having sex in front of a poster? why would a 22 year old in love, with a tad bit more followers and a tad bit less dedication to staying in the closet, not post about wanting to see his more-than-best friend?

and, later on, the fact that silly tweets and posts that should have been nothing but cute mementos from the beginning of a relationship turned into things that were desperately walked back and written off and turned into jokes. because who would have had the foreknowledge that the internet would become a graveyard of everything you’ve ever said and every interaction you’ve ever had? sweet things were turned sour in the distress of trying to maintain a level of privacy and separation. but did they not have that right? to cling to what plausible deniability they had left? to come out on their own terms, even though the closet door was already cracked open in a way that made it impossible to fully shut?

and honestly. it's such testament to them and their relationship and its strength that they made it through. that they were still able to do things on their own terms as much as possible. that now they can make the jokes and the references that they want to make without having to worry about what someone is going to dig up or what half-second clip is going to be over-analyzed to death. and they deserve to be in that place. they deserve to be happy

Tackled it partially here, but I love the idea of Draxum knowing little extra details about the boys from before they were mutated. Things like “you liked strawberries”, “you were four times faster than others of your species”, “you tried to eat Huginn and Muninn”, “you were way too sentient for a regular turtle it was actually kind of freaky in retrospect did the proximity to Empyrean have something to do with it-“

Little details that pop up over the years, and while sometimes the boys (mainly Mikey) will ask for more information out of curiosity, most of the time the info just sort of comes out randomly. It’s not like Draxum had them all too long, but he still finds himself remembering their pre mutated turtle selves vividly, even after all these years.

The boys ask Splinter if he too has baby stories of them to share and he’s just like “I love you boys but you were hellions.”

The Princess' Dolls

After Danny has ascended to the throne of the ghost king, something goes wrong with his clone Ellie. Her form destabilizes again, and when they stabilize her, she's physically only five or six years old.

Danny takes to watching her, but looking after a half ghost child is a lot harder than it looks, especially when Ellie learns duplication but can't seem to figure out how to undo it for hours on end, and each clone gets bored really fast. To counter this, Danny makes Ellie a set of dolls, all modeled after the Justice League and various related figures. He even uses a special enchantment he learned to make sure the dolls stay intact no matter what Ellie puts them through.

Ellie loves the dolls and she and her clones have a tendency to put together large productions using them, ranging from superhero fights to sitcom stories to fairy tales to a few 'things' Ellie remembered reading online before she was de aged.

Meanwhile, almost every single Justice League member has been noticing some oddities as of late. They can hear voices from no where, they feel like something is touching them when there is nothing, their muscles sometimes spasm without cause. And, on occasion, they find themselves sleepwalking as they dream of a giant telling a story.

No one brings this to the attention of the other members until several members get knocked out on a mission, only for their unconscious forms to start acting out a play.

(Or Danny accidentally makes several Justice League Voodoo dolls and a young Ellie keeps playing with them)

im so glad that we never get a clear picture of sophie’s background in leverage & i hope we never do. however i also really like making up various, often conflicting backstories for her in my head. perhaps they’re all backstories for an alias of hers, ones she laid to rest back in season two.

creative things neve does with her ice magic in the short story:

- creating mist to hide herself when spying,

- slowing blood loss from wounds,

- freezing dead cultist's so a blood mage can't use its lifeforce for spells,

- making ground slippery so enemies fall over.

i hope we can see some of them in fight, or at least in some cutscenes, please

There are certainly odd deficiencies in the house, considering the extraordinary evidences of wealth which are round me. The table service is of gold, and so beautifully wrought that it must be of immense value. The curtains and upholstery of the chairs and sofas and the hangings of my bed are of the costliest and most beautiful fabrics, and must have been of fabulous value when they were made, for they are centuries old, though in excellent order. I saw something like them in Hampton Court, but there they were worn and frayed and moth-eaten. But still in none of the rooms is there a mirror.

These fabrics being in really good shape has an interesting implication about the castle layout. Like, it's obvious that there are Jonathan-approved spaces which are cleaned up and nice, unlike the majority of the building which is in ruins.

But despite Dracula's own bedroom (treasure room, really) being dusty and dirty, along with the chapel area where all the vampires actually sleep, the upholstery being in good condition implies ongoing care. He couldn't undo fraying and moth-eaten holes so easily. And it's not just his library, it's his guest room too.

This doesn't change much necessarily, though it takes away the humorous 'he spent the last three weeks doing a deep clean' joke a bit. But I think it adds an extra layer of creepiness, when you consider that he has been taking excellent care of a guest room and assorted areas for probably a long time now, even while allowing the rest of the castle to crumble in disrepair and gather dust.

It's very... welcoming spiderweb. A trap that has perhaps been sprung several times before. Perhaps only the plan to leave himself this time is new.

Two blokes slacking off at work :p

Cretan diplomats based on a painting of the tomb of Rekhmire, Luxor. I was intruigued by the leopard skirt thingy one of them is wearing and drew a more or less realistic interpretation of it! The other guy's there so he can have a buddy.

While i usually draw people looking as average as possible, it's not the case here. It's fair to assume that within the "PR" context of the painting (representing their people in front of a foreign king) these would be the ancient aegean's hottest boytoys, so I kept them snatched and smooth shaved.
