My 5 Lantern Ring/Miraculous Combos
Ok. Here I’ll be going over my 5 picks for which Lantern Ring is best used in conjunction with which Miraculous. I’ll be choosing based on how compatible the Lantern Ring’s emotion and powers are with the Miraculous’s abstract concept and powers.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My first choice here is a combo between the Red Lantern Ring of Rage and the Black Cat Miraculous of Destruction. One of the reasons why I made this choice is because the Black Cat Miraculous is all about destruction and what emotion is more destructive than rage, the very emotion that powers the Red Lantern Ring. Plus, it’s been revealed in the episodes ‘Mr. Pigeon 72’ and ‘Dearest Family’ that the only limits the Miraculouses have are that which the wielder sets for them. I think that means that in order to upgrade a Miraculous’s power, you have to feel a large amount of a certain type of emotions. In the case of the Ladybug Miraculous of Creation, Marinette felt a large amount of calmness in the episode ‘Mr. Pigeon 72’ in order to upgrade its power. So, I think that in order to upgrade the Black Cat Miraculous of Destruction, the wielder has to feel an immense amount of pain and sorrow. And since the most powerful kind of rage comes from a broken heart, it would really help amp up the Red Lantern Ring’s power.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My second choice here is a combo between the Green Lantern Ring of Willpower and the Tiger Miraculous of Exaltation. The Green Lantern Ring’s emotion of willpower and the Tiger Miraculous’s power to create a shockwave that can blow away anything in its path both involve asserting yourself. In fact, in the episode ‘Crocoduel’, Juleka had to overcome her nervousness in order to help Ladybug and Cat Noir defeat Guitar Villain and Captain Hardrock which was also when she first wielded the Tiger Miraculous.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My third choice here is a combo between the Blue Lantern Ring of Hope and the Pig Miraculous of Jubilation. As revealed in the episode ‘Guiltrip’, the Pig Miraculous has the power to reveal to a person their heart’s greatest desire. It aligns perfectly with the Blue Lantern Ring’s power to create a construct of a person’s greatest hope and then using it to heal that person’s physical wounds. Plus, the hope brought about by seeing their heart’s greatest desire from the Pig Miraculous’s power can help power up the Blue Lantern Ring’s own power. It has been shown in Green Lantern Vol 4 #36 that a Blue Lantern Ring can draw power from other people’s hope after all.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My fourth choice here is a combo between the Indigo Lantern Ring of Compassion and the Butterfly Miraculous of Transmission. In the episode ‘Backwarder’, the Butterfly Miraculous has been shown to be able to send out magical butterflies called Akumas that inserts into an object that belongs to a person and uses that person’s emotions to turn them into superpowered versions of themselves and create a telepathic link to them. I think that when using this power in conjunction with the Indigo Lantern Ring’s power to replicate the powers of other Lantern Rings when they’re in close proximity, it will allow the wielder to replicate the powers of their Akuma champion and use it for themselves. And I also think that in the case of Akuma champions that have emotion based powers like Psycomedian, it just might allow the wielder to also replicate the powers of other types of Lantern Rings even when they’re not in close proximity.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My fifth and final choice here is a combo between the White Lantern Ring of Life and the Peacock Miraculous of Emotion. It has been shown in the episode ‘Mayura (Heroes’ Day - Part 2)’ that the Peacock Miraculous has the power to send out magical feathers called Amoks that inserts themselves into an object that belongs to a person and takes that person’s emotions and forms them into magical creatures called sentimonsters. It pretty much creates life. I think this corresponds very well with the White Lantern Ring’s power to harness all the different emotions and powers of the various Lantern Rings and its power over life itself. I also think that the White Lantern Ring’s power will be able to allow the Peacock Miraculous to create sentimonsters that don’t have to rely on their Amok objects to survive and allow them to have complete free will.
Overall, these are my 5 Miraculous/Lantern Ring combos.
Thanks for reading.

Lantern Corps for Ruby Characters
Tumblr media
I’ve had this idea for a while and since RWBY is doing plenty of cross over material with DC as of late so I figured it was about time to do something like this and discuss the possible lantern corps that I think would best suit the characters of RWBY
Tumblr media
For those who may or may not know Lantern Corps are organizations that have rings that give their wearers superpowers and they are powered by different emotions and in order to wield one of these rings you have to have a strong connection to the emotion that wears it
And these Lantern Corps are;
The Red Lanterns of Rage
The Orange Lantern of Avarice
The Sinestro Corps of Fear
The Green Lanterns of Willpower
The Blue Lanterns of Hope
The Indigo Tribe of Compassion
The Star Sapphires of Love
As well as the;
Black Lantern Corps of Death and the White Lantern Corps of Life
As well as the newest corps being;
The Ultraviolet Corps
Note; it is unclear what exact emotion powers this corps other than it is negative in origin and as such many people believe it to be Shame
With that established I will be doing 4 characters at a time starting with Team RWBY

In the DC Universe, there are ten known emotional energies that can be channeled into a power source for Lantern Rings. The wielder of these rings are assembled into Corps, and come into conflict with one another often. This is a list of all the currently known energies and their associated Corp.
Red: the energy of rage. From righteous fury, to mindless bloodlust, all fall under the red light of rage. The Red Lanterns are led by Atrocitus, and based on the hellish world of Ysmault. Weilders of the red light boast incredible strength, and a breath weapon that can break most other constructs.
Orange: the energy of greed. The most secretive and lonely Corp, the only member is the insane Larfleeze. The orange lantern can create constructs of any foe the ring has defeated, and there have been many who have fallen to it.
Yellow: the energy of fear. Those who join the yellow Sinestro Corp are masters of sewing fear into those around them, bringing those fears to life with their constructs. The Sinestro Corp is, of course, led by Sinestro, and based out of the planet Qward in the antimatter universe.
Green: the energy of willpower. The most well-known of all the Corps, the green lantern insignia is a symbol for good across the galaxy. They are also among the most numerous, boasting numbers in the thousands. The Corp is led by the Guardians from the planet Oa, and is the most well documented of the colors here.
Blue: the energy of hope. One of the smaller Corps, but by no means weak. The Blue Lanterns are an oddity in that they cannot create energy constructs like the others, but this is made up for by multiplying the strength of nearby Green Lanterns, and by depowering nearby Red Lanterns. They are led by former guardians Ganthet and Sayd, and are based on the planet Odym.
Indigo: the energy of compassion. Unlike other Corps, the members do not wear the indigo lantern rings. In fact, they are not considered a Corp: the indigo tribe is a group of wanderers on the planet Nok, who use their lantern rings as the bindings for the galaxy's greatest sociopaths to rehabilitate them.
Violet: the energy of love. The Star Sapphire Corp used to be a single vessel for a powerful parasitic crystal, but has since grown to an elite group of female warriors. To become a Star Sapphire, one must have loved another and have that love spurned. The Corp is based on Zameron, it's crystals altered by the Zamerons to give lantern powers to its wielder.
White: the energy of life. The White Light is a rare occurrence, embodying the entire emotional spectrum, and only appears in times of great need. The power of a White Lantern is far greater than any other Lantern, but comes at a cost; the White Light has a will of its own, and will subjugate the personality of its bearer until it's will is fulfilled.
Black: the energy of death. During the Sinestro war, the Guardians lifted the life lock on the green lantern rings, allowing them to kill their opponents. This fulfilled the an ancient prophecy, and allowed the Black Lantern Ring to emerge from the Green Lantern Power Battery on Oa. It found its host in the recently deceased William Hand, who began raising an army of Black Lantern Zombies to feast on the emotions of the living.
Ultraviolet: the energy of the unseen emotions. The Ultraviolet Lantern Corp is the hand of Umbrax, a sentient star that possesses and controls all members of the Corp (save a few notable exceptions). It feeds off the unseen emotions, the surpressed and hidden emotions in the day-to-day that all life exhibits.

To commemorate my next milestone, I literally worked myself sick to get this pic ready for posting.  Loosely based on a pair of Green Lantern comic book covers by Ivan Reis (one featuring the Green Lantern Corps, the other featuring the Sinestro Corps), this image also lent a few subtle hints as to what everyone could look forward to, with regards to my fanfics for "Green Lantern: The Animated series" as Hal unites with allies, new and old, to take on new threats.  And as you can see, some of them have gone through a few style changes. ^_^ This image may look deceptively simple.  But in reality, this was actually a combination of six different images all photoshopped together (seven, if you include the background).  Kind of explains why it took me a whole weekend and some change to get it done.  But while a few compromises (with regards to body positioning) had to be made out of necessity, I can honestly say this pic looks more or less the way I wanted it to look. I'll admit that the text I threw in wasn't particularly stylish or original.  But honestly, by the time I got to adding that final touch, I was so completely exhausted and nauseous (to say nothing of the headache I was getting) that I just didn't have the strength to care anymore.  All I wanted was for it to be over and done with.  So I just plastered on some text and had done with it.  I have endeavored to do better later on. Still, I was quite happy with the pic, overall and I hope everyone else feels the same.  And again, if this gets anyone curious about possibly helping out with my fanfics (or at least hearing out my ideas), feel free to ask and I'll let you know.  Either way, enjoy. ^_^

Downside of being a blue lantern fan is most blue lantern stuff revolves around the emblem only or the most famous blue lantern, the Flash. Now don't get me wrong, the Flash is cool and neat and his blue lantern uniform looked good(plus the lightning bolt didn't look half bad with the blue lantern emblem) but he was a temporary emergency member.
It's like if the most significant teacher ever for a school was that one sub from another school that came in for an hour that one time. Like yeah they may have done great and may have changed some kids lives but they shouldn't be the most significant teacher!
While checking for who was the most iconic white lantern by searching "white lantern" into a Google search I found something that proves my point

Green Lantern Ally Movie Ideas, Part IV: The Other Lantern Corps
Many of these we've covered in at least some aspect so far, with the Sinestro Corps, Red Lantern Corps, Agent Orange, Star Sapphire, and the Black Lanterns all acting as major villains at various points, which leaves us with the Blue Lanterns, best represented by Saint Walker, who are the closest allies of the Greens, amplifying their willpower with the power of hope, and the Indigo Tribe, a reclusive group spreading compassion throughout the galaxy. There is also the White Lanterns, formed from pure life energy to help fight the Black Lanterns. All have their own Lanterns, a corps of some kind, and each is powered by an entity representing the emotion they represent.
Origin Movie: For simplicity's sake, most origins would likely only include Green, with maybe Yellow or Red to establish the enmity between the respective corps. Unless you wanted to go all in, and maybe tell a full space odyssey with an alien protagonist, where all of these Corps are just a fact of their world. And . . . now I'm rethinking all my plans because I like that idea too much.
Sequel Movie: Blue and Violet are both solid colors to introduce in a sequel, as allies/anti-heroes, and Larfleeze is a lovely option for a sequel villain. Likewise, Sinestro or Atrocitus could easily be saved for later if you wanted to keep the origin simple.
Finale Movie: Black Lanterns are an obvious finale bait, and the Indigo Lanterns not appearing until the Blackest Night suggests they would work well to be saved for a finale as well.
Standalone Movie: I really want to formulate a story arc/mini-series something, where at least the main seven just exist in the universe, each serving their own roles, with a group of new recruits who form a team, but are each part of a different corps. I need to find a place for this . . . and that's how I could get in a lot of those more standard villains. I--
Anyway, here are my rankings of them:
Origin Movie
Sequel Movie
Finale Movie: All follow a natural order of introduction and a series would be best suited to follow that order.
Standalone Movie: I WANT!!
What do you think? Tomorrow, let's cover the Guardians themselves and finish this series.
