so, just realized that since I'm getting fairly good at writing in (if not casually speaking) Old English, I can absolutely make, write and say aloud the type of spells used in that Merlin show

EDIT: apparently the BBC Merlin magic system also uses Ogham script? ok weird but sure I like the vibes... anyway, while I can't speak ANY form of Gaelic (or Latin btw. I speak OE and thats IT), I can write in Ogham script, like the writing system itself, in either modern or Old English. not sure what language is being used re: the Ogham in Merlin tho

examining a seemingly normal image only to slowly realize the clear signs of AI generated art.... i know what you are... you cannot hide your true nature from me... go back where you came from... out of my sight with haste, wretched and vile husk

#BEGONE!!! *wizard beam blast leaving a black smoking crater in the middle of the tumblr dashboard*#I think another downside to everyone doing everything on phone apps on shitty tiny screens nowadays is the inability to really see details #of an image and thus its easier to share BLATANTLY fake things like.. even 'good' ai art has pretty obvious tells at this point #but especially MOST of it is not even 'good' and will have details that are clearly off or lines that dont make sense/uneven (like the imag #of a house interior and in the corner there's a cabinet and it has handles as if it has doors that open but there #are no actual doors visible. or both handles are slightly different shapes. So much stuff that looks 'normal' at first glance #but then you can clearly tell it's just added details with no intention or thought behind it. a pattern that starts and then just abruptly #doesn't go anywhere. etc. etc. )#the same thing with how YEARS ago when I followed more fashion type blogs on tumblr and 'colored hair' was a cool ''''New Thing''' instead #of being the norm now basically. and people would share photos of like ombre hair designs and stuff that were CLEARLY photoshop like #you could LITERally see the coloring outside of the lines. blurs of color that extend past the hair line to the rest of the image #or etc. But people would just share them regardless and comment like 'omg i wish I could do this to my hair!' or 'hair goallzzzz!! i #wonder what salon they went to !!' which would make me want to scream and correct them everytime ( i did not lol)#hhhhhhggh... literally view the image on anything close to a full sized screen and You Will SEe #I don't know why it's such a pet peeve of mine. I think just as always I'm obsessed with the reality and truth of things. most of the thing #that annoy me most about people are situations in which people are misinterpreting/misunderstanding how something works or having a misconc #eption about somehting thats easily provable as false or etc. etc. Even if it's harmless for some random woman on facebook to believe that #this AI generated image of a cat shaped coffee machine is actually a real product she could buy somewhere ... I’m just… wow. I actually thought Lorenzo was a real character unlike my fav chaotic, Slytherin Prince—occasionally known as Mattheo Riddle.

Though, at this point, who cares about cannon?

Screw cannon. I like the fanfics better anyway.

Don’t get me wrong. I do enjoy the books, but the books don’t have Mattheo. They barely have Theo.

So, I guess the lesson I’ve learnt tonight is that fanfic writers should be payed for the work they do but can’t because of that pesky copyright infringement.

People who also think the art is gorgeous!!! someone who thinks Juvia Erza & Lucy are cool outside of powerscaling!!#someone who gets that we're following the entire guild not just Lucy & Natsu & their team THEY GET IT!!!!#THEY UNDERSTOOD THAT GMG IS PEAK FT #& how FT really isnt about the fights even if its labeled as a battle shonen;;;#theres people who notice how FT is extremely but subtly different compared to other shonen and im sooo glad im not the only one #thats why its the only mainstream shonen i can get behind; it doesnt really have a reader insert (? Natsu wants to find Igneel & Lucy wants to grow stronger but the narrative never really dove deep into either of those esp Natsu #They never went on a journey to find igneel they never focused on Lucy's powers specifically getting stronger & her legitimacy of being a #Wizard; the wizard thing was already resolved by the time phantom lord arc was at its mid point i think & yes she grows stronger #but its not like shes been singled out as The Wizard that the audience has to root for #the entire damn team AND guild are more focused on whatever job / quest theyre pick out next & whatever threats currently happening #im pretty sure 100 years quest was the first & only time where it was turned into an actual 'Walk around the world go on an adventure' thing #Its really less about the world more about the characters and I think a lot of people keep forgetting that #like if it wanted to show you what creatures exist what plants there what the political climate of the country(/ies) are like #Mashima wouldn't have made the guild a PLACE they can return to. Physically.#He wouldnt have made it a place where everyone returns to before & after every quest; it wouldve wasted the time you could use to #roam around the world like cmon... the guild cant even walk like that tavern & pig from 7ds & its not like these people are in a highschool #or like forced to stay in FT yk. They could leave 👍 But they dont at least the main chars dont #but whatever sure the world buildings lacking okay.#nillas
