alright but problems:
1. “Dick made Tim constantly feel inadequate” no??? No didn’t??? Tim in the comics is shown to be an insecure person, so much so that he imagined/hallucinated (idk which I forgot) a dead Jason tell him that the only reason he died was bc he wasn’t good enough and Tim was better than him so he wouldn’t die like Jason did (which is fked up btw but still). Dick would never. If he was shown to be thinking about Jason a lot, that shouldn’t be a problem bc Jason freakin died. A boy thinking about his dead brother shouldn’t be the cause for someone’s insecurity, like??? And if this is about the Robin thing, first it was Alfred who passed the suit down, second it isn’t as big as a deal as fandom makes it, even Tim wasn’t as bothered by it as the fans think, three Robin is Dick’s name, he should be the one to decide who takes the mantle.
2. A young Damian and a young Dick are very different people. There’s a chance things might play out as said, but’s it’s a higher possibility that the two of them just. Never bond. Dick is vastly different from Bruce and Damian, his optimism and energy is what pulled Bruce back from the brink of his own darkness, the light to Bruce’s dark. If Damian, the mini-Bruce, went under Bruce’s care, his rudeness to Alfred and insistence on being Bruce’s heir might push Bruce away, at best they never bond, at worse Bruce sends him back to Nanda Parbet. It’s Dick Grayson that encouraged Bruce Wayne to open up, encouraged Damian Wayne to open up, without him the two of them would still be trapped into their own darkness.
3. Similar to how there is no Robin without Dick Grayson, there is likely also no Batfam if it weren’t for him. It’s Dick who encouraged Bruce to open up, to be able to start the family, at the center of all of this, it all leads back to Dick Grayson. Bruce took in Jason bc he missed Dick (which sorta doomed them from the narrative I suppose), Tim kinda forced himself onto the role of Robin (Dick’s mantle) and in so, joined the family, and Damian would’ve left a long time ago if it weren’t for Dick. There would’ve either been no family till Dick was taken in, or the Batkids would’ve been raised by a more bitter and jaded Bruce till Dick came along. It’s hard to believe the Batfam would’ve turned out better.
Ok I’ve been reading some reverse robins au fics and tbh I think the fam is a lot healthier that way
think about it, when dick came along he was innocent and lighthearted and needed someone to keep him safe and protect him and a young inexperienced Bruce projected his own issues and insecurities onto teaching him his paranoid self sacrificing tendencies and trust issues and was extra hard on him the way he was with himself
then because of their horrible destructive relationship he took the opposite approach with Jason and gave him too much leeway and not enough training and supervision which lead to Jason’s death and Jason didn’t have dick around to mentor him because Bruce had ostracized him
then Tim who needed love and approval was neglected and pushed away by the person he most desired affection from because Bruce was broken after Jason’s death and dick made Tim constantly feel inadequate because he spent too much time thinking about Jason
then Damian came along and felt that he was never enough and was always compared to everyone else and none of his siblings except dick could see past his abrasive personality because they didn’t know how to connect with someone from his background
alternatively a young Damian comes to Bruce who doesn’t need protection, he needs someone to teach him empathy and hope in humanity even those who do bad things, just by virtue of existing he forces Bruce to become more positive and optimistic finding reasons to see the glass half full instead of half empty
Then little Tim comes around calm and nervous and vastly different than Damian and Bruce changes again, he learns to give more praise he finds things in common with this sweet little boy teaches him how to be a detective and use tech
After that Jason comes along, Bruce is experienced enough with trauma to help him and Damian helps him constructively channel his anger and Tim is there to teach him how to be more cautious and observant and safer
finally dick arrives and bruce sees himself reflected in this little boy and he gives him a family, they’re able to comfort him to teach him how to be careful and how to fight and they’re there with him to temper his grief and mentor him, Bruce knows not to push him too hard, Damian knows how to bond with siblings, Tim talks with him about the flying graysons and Jason helps him with English and shows him the beauty in the darkest parts of Gotham

there are a lot of people complaining about Arcane season 2, and yes, I get it, it is a bit rushed at times and it would do well if they did a little extra explaining on some parts but honestly it feels like people are just nitpicking sometimes
example: just saw a video about someone complaining about ep7 about Powder and Ekko getting together, and just, wtf??? yes, I know it's because of Ekko's tip that vi died and I know the characters should've it weird when Ekko woke up and just started pointing about things in the past that they really don't want to be reminded of... but if you found this a problem you really didn't watch the show. the main theme about this alternate universe is forgiveness, powder forgave Ekko (though tbh, it was really Vi's plan to go rob someone the whole time), vander and silco forgave each other etc etc. alt Ekko was slaving away at this project when Ekko (firelight) got thrust into his body. powder said it herself, genius and insanity go hand in hand, Ekko saying random things like this probably wasn't even a surprise. also saw a thumbnail where Ekko and powder were kissing and they put 'cheating' beside the image. hopefully I won't have to explain how stupid this is.
Ekko didnt just kiss powder and go 'I can fix jinx'. he doesn't want to change jinx into powder, he even admits that jinx has something good that powder doesn't, jinx's ideas can change the world. what Ekko learned from the alt universe and powder is forgiveness, to look at the past and move forward, leaving a few things behind, leaving behind hate, anger, for the present, for the future. he learned to forgive jinx, so they could build something new.
also adding the fact that it wasn't vi's death that changed everything, it was the act of a child, the fact that someone had been killed that points out how dangerous hextech is, and that's why it was never developed.
personal opinion here, I don't think it was just the death and the letter that changed everything, I think it was little details leading up to the moment silco forgave vander, the moment everything went right. it wasn't one spontaneous event that changed it. we don't know what happened in the alt universe, we don't know if the fight went differently, or if slico had done anything different... maybe he never developed shimmer, maybe he wasn't so set on revenge. we don't know, so maybe don't jump to conclusions so quickly?
another point: jinx didn't just magically lose her trauma because of Isha, dunno what you guys were thinking.
jinx in season one had obvious mental issues, and we always see her drowning out the noise with blaring music. the reason why she was like that was because of her internal conflict, of powder and jinx clashing. jinx was trying to forget the past, and powder was the one that kept remembering it. powder was the one that kept trying to insist it wasn't her fault. powder was the one that held on to everything, and jinx hated powder. and in S1E9 we see her let powder die.
she accepts that she is a jinx to people she loves. the voices stop calling her a jinx, because she already knows this. she accepts this. jinx ruin everything. jinx is a curse. it isn't a case where some kid comes in and changes everything, jinx isn't healed in season 2, she just accepts that she is a catastrophe.
the only thing Isha changes is that jinx learns to love powder through Isha, and maybe even lets a bit of powder come back through. and that's why, when Isha is thrown into Stillwater, the voices come back before jinx takes control again.
three: Caitlyn was done dirty, her entire character was ooc
no it was not. you just saw it through a different lens and decided you didn't like it.
like it or not, Cait has always been privileged. she goes where she wants, does what she likes because she has the kirramman family name to protect her. Marcus says it himself in S1, we just chose to ignore it because that's when cait was doing what we thought was right, investigating and helping Vi, although she was not an enforcer, had no right to be there, we liked it because, well, because we hate Marcus, and she was actually doing something right back then
till season 2, where she gasses Zaun, goes all hitler, and... acts exactly how she acted in S1. she does what she wants, goes where she likes, to achieve one thing: get revenge on jinx.
cait has never lost a parent, she has never learned to cope with such a loss, so she reacts in a wrong way, reacts so drastically that we feel is out of character, its not. we merely see her previous traits painted in a different light and y'all decided you hate it.
I could go on forever honestly, but these three points got on my nerves the most, so I decided to say something about it. there.
this is way too long, my god.

Hear me out, this is a bit (“bit”) of a stretch, but think:
Zeus killed Maria di Angelo.
Hades kidnapped Sally Jackson.
Beryl Grace died from driving drunk.
All of the Big Three must have been pissed to find out the others broke the vow (except Hades but the poor guy always seems to be punished alongside everyone anyways), and that’s why Hades and Zeus both took revenge on the mothers.
But what if it came full circle?
Beryl Grace died from driving while she was drunk.
She was drunk.
Wine is a liquid.
So what if Poseidon somehow influenced the wine to be… I don’t know, extra strong, so Beryl would ultimately be too drunk and crash.
A punishment for having a child with Zeus.
Like how Maria and Sally were.
It comes full circle.

What is it with the lack of Jasico crossover fics?
Like, we see Solangelo centric x (literally everything) fics everywhere, do I need to talk about Percabeth??
Then- nothing
Its either the entire seven, or these two ships
Like c’mon, give my boy Jason a centric
Then throw in Jasico, Pipeyna and Frazel and hades, I’m fine with valdangelo too or smth
Divide the attention, not meaning to offend someone, but I’m literally sick of the amount of fics focusing on these two, and other ships deserve attention too
(The lack of F/F ships as well???)
I don’t even care what crossover it is, HTTYD or MCU it DC
Just-
-gimme
(Yes I’m annoying and no, I don’t apologize. Society made me this way. Wait scratch that. Fandom made me this way.)

Elaborating more on Jason Grace joining the Wayne family (because why not):
The batfam discovering the poor kid has no idea on what family is when Jason, slightly ashamed after a panic attack, asks if he can go to therapy-
Therapist: what do you think of when you hear family?
Jason, confused blond who never had one: loss. abandon. mistake. alcohol. wolf. soldier. army. burden-
(Being raised by wolves an a freakin army camp is what growing up means to him apparently)
Therapist:… what about parents?
Jason: disappointment. absent. broken promise-
Therapist: love?
Jason, bitterly remember Cupid: cruel.
The batfam: holy schist he is traumatized as hell
The family afterwards: let’s play a game!
Jason, almost saying: okay, but no maiming or killing
Then afterwards when he finds out their identités he tries to remember saying it every time the boys fall into chaos (it still ended up how they normally did)
Ironic how the two Jasons are completely unlike, Jason Todd just being Jason Todd, while Jason Grace learning how to be Jason Grace while still having those ‘I spent 13 years in the army’ traits
Jason Grace having similar backstories with Bruce Wayne (cue loss of parents, taking justice…)
Nico coming to visit because jasico has to happen somehow. Bruce realizing both of them (Jason Grace, Nico) giving off ‘plz adopt me’ vibes
Jason’s room looks exactly how his old bunk looked in CJ. orderly. tidy. the boy was trained to do this. OCD, apparently.
Jason’s death counts as retiring from the Pontifex role, but he’s still drawing shrines because no one deserves to be forgotten
(him thinking about Nico when he had this thought, not realizing it could apply to him too. did anyone reach out to him when Piper had broken up with him and he was alone? Mellie, thinking Jason has did it to Piper, hated him)
Jason learns to cook with Alfred. Because I have this image of Jason with an apron just casually holding a pan looking like a mom (because he is one) and because he wants bonding time
Jason+Dick= ultimate mom force
Tim teaching jason about computers. The blond boy going ????
Damian dueling Jason continuously. Jason being this big blocky blond has to be a challenge
Jason Todd thinking Jason Grace was his replacent at first, and furious. until Jason Grace points out they literally only have three two things alike: they’re orphans named Jason, and they both died
When Thalia visits the family goes: u sure ur related??
Naturally ALL of them tease him about his crush on Nico (another BFFs thinking their crushes on each other are unrequited thing)
Jason being all polite in the family at first, unsure how to approach this topic of home. the family finds him suspicious sometimes, but does their best to welcome him. when his secret comes out the family sets down all their remaining doubt and welcomes him, (“it’s okay.”) and Jason looking so lost and hopeful. then Bruce says he’ll always have a home with them and that’s when a tear slides, slowly, down Jason’s face. He has a place he can call home
and yes, Jason can be calm. He can be caring and stern. He has breakdowns and moments where he’s the strong one helping everyone. He’s human after all. But nothing beats the moment when Jason is truly pissed…

Imagining Jason Grace finding out he’s related to a billionaire named Bruce Wayne because his mother and him were actually cousins (or whatever. rich family) a few hours after Nico di Angelo resurrects him.
Him joining the family and some sibling bonding, which he missed out his whole life from and finding a home, discovering who Jason Grace is, learning how to accept love
Panic attack or PTSD because of his death and literally everything else the poor guy’s been through
The the awkward moment where his identity is found out and the family being weirder out due to the fact that they have two dead Jasons that were brought back to life, both related to Thalia/Talias
(Cue a awkward meeting between the Jasons
“We’re nothing alike”)
Naturally Jason gets along with Dick Grayson best as the team moms
The the meeting with DIANA
“Why do you have my little bro with you???”
“Tf”
Then cue Nico being on the Batfam’s watch list because he’s been rushing around Gotham collecting escaped souls (or whatever) then Jasico because I can-
-the parallels with them and another certain couple with a emo bat and a reporter wearing glasses who could fly-
I’ll shut up now.
(This was stuck in my head I’m sorry-)
