(っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ How To Safely Communicate With Deities ♥
I must admit I am not the most educated on this topic, but I still do know some basics about safely connecting with deities. If anyone has tips, advice, or corrections, feel free to comment or reblog with additional information.
I also wanna say that the practices I mention here focus more on general communication and intuition work. They do not replace formal training or personal guidance from experienced practitioners if you decide to deepen your practice.
Step 1: Choose a Deity
Research a deity you feel drawn to—learn about their myths, domains, symbols, and associations.
Make sure you are genuinely interested in working with them and not just following a trend.
Understanding their personality, values, and energy helps create a respectful connection.
Step 2: Create a Safe Space
Set up a quiet, comfortable area where you won’t be disturbed.
Some people use an altar, candles, or symbols, but it’s not required.
Cleanse the space (smudging, incense, or visualizing light).
Being grounded and centered helps you focus and notice subtle signs. So do that before you begin any attempts at communication.
Step 3: Use Simple Communication Methods
Prayer: Speak aloud or silently, addressing the deity respectfully. (Avoid invocation unless more experienced when it comes to dealing with spirits, warding, protection, and cleansing. Being more attuned to energies helps.)
Meditation: Sit quietly and focus on the deity, their symbols, or their energy.
Journaling: Write a letter to them and leave it on your altar or in a personal notebook.
Dream Requests: Ask for guidance or signs in your dreams.
Step 4: Pay Attention to Signs
Heres a link to useful post regarding deities sending signs
Look for repeated patterns, animals, colors, numbers, or thoughts that match the deity’s domain.
Keep a journal to track these occurrences—patterns over time are more reliable than single coincidences.
Consider natural explanations first, but trust your intuition about whether it feels significant.
Step 5: Set Boundaries and Protect Yourself
Ask for protection if you feel unsure—this can be a simple mental or verbal statement.
Communicate only what you feel ready to share—don’t force interaction.
Remember that you always have the right to step back or stop communicating if it feels uncomfortable.
Step 6: Build Consistency
Check in regularly in small ways rather than overwhelming yourself.
Gratitude is important—thank the deity for any guidance or signs you receive.
Over time, consistent and respectful interaction strengthens your connection.
Final Thoughts
Communication with deities is subtle and personal—there’s no strict “right” or “wrong” way.
Be patient, respectful, and observant.
Trust your intuition while staying grounded in safety and discernment.
Always cleanse yourself and your space before and after you begin and end. Bonus if you wear protective charms.
Remember: you are choosing to invite a being into your spiritual space, and your comfort and boundaries always come first.

(っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ Signs A Deity Might Be Reaching Out To You ♥
Deities can reach out to us in many ways—sometimes obvious, sometimes subtle. Often, people may not even realize that a divine being is trying to communicate or connect with them.
All deities have domains, symbols, colors, animals, plants, and other associations. Observing these signs can be a clue that a deity is reaching out. In this post I'll be using Lord Apollon as an example as I work with him. How Deities Might Reach Out
Through Nature & Animals
You might notice animals associated with a deity appearing around you. Like how Apollo is linked with ravens, swans, and hawks.
Sometimes these appearances are physical. Other times, they may appear in media, dreams, or illustrations.
Through Interests & Activities
A deity may draw you toward aspects of their domain: Apollo might inspire you to practice archery, write or read poetry, enjoy the sun, play instruments, or listen to music.
These nudges are subtle invitations to align with their energy.
Through Repeated Patterns or Symbols
You may see certain numbers, symbols, or motifs repeatedly. For example, the number 8 could appear more often if Apollo is trying to send a message.
It can also include repeated colors, flowers, or objects associated with the deity.
Exercise Caution & Discernment!!!
Not every coincidence is a sign. Some things happen naturally or logically:
Animals could simply be migrating or living nearby.
Flowers and herbs appear because it’s their season.
Media content is often algorithm-driven—your feed shows what you already like/watch.
Always consider context and frequency of signs.
How to Know It’s Likely a Sign
Keep a tally of sightings, numbers, or symbolic occurrences.
Take note over time—if something appears five or more times, it may be a genuine sign.
Check your feelings—if it sparks curiosity, inspiration, or a strong emotional response, that’s often significant.
Look for alignment with their domain—if the occurrence relates to the deity’s associations, it’s more likely intentional.
Additional Tips
Signs can appear in dreams, intuition, or sudden insights, not just the physical world.
You might feel nudges like a strong urge to create, meditate, or practice rituals connected to the deity.
Deities may test your attention—subtlety is part of the magic. Sometimes, the “sign” is noticing the sign itself.
Journaling these experiences helps you track patterns and confirm guidance.
Final Thoughts
Being mindful and observant is key. Not every coincidence is divine—but noticing patterns and repeated signs can help you build a connection.
Approach this with balance and discernment, combining intuition with logic.
A deity’s signs are often gentle invitations, guiding you toward growth, inspiration, or protection.

Hail Lord Apollo! I did my first prayer to him yesterday and felt good after! Then when I got back from school and talked to him via tarot he told me that hes happy to see me reconnecting with him again and that hes going to respond to my prayer and help me out! Hes istg the BEST and honestly working with him has been the best decision I've made in my life.
HAIL LORD APOLLO!

How to start worshipping the Theoi (Greek Gods)
(Including: how to pray!)
Hi ! I'm going more in depth today (finally!), so here's how to actually worship the Theoi, and therefore pray to Them. This topic is gonna be scattered throughout multiple posts, since it's a pretty broad topic.
First of all though, remember that worshipping & communication with the Divine is different for everyone. You might not feel a connection the first few times you worship a Deity, or They might not show Themselves directly to you. That's okay, it doesn't mean that you're worshipping Them the "wrong way", and at some point They will show Themselves and communicate back with you. Every Deity is different, and every connection between Them and a person also varies. It's just a matter of trying out rituals, divination methods, ect until you find something that fits and makes you feel closer to Them!
Onto the worshipping: first comes the question, who do you want to focus on? There are countless of Deities, not even counting the Titans & all that, so actively worshipping Them all is difficult at best, especially if you're unsure on how to properly worship One. Therefore choosing one, or a few, Deities would make it easier (while still honoring all the other Gods).
Sometimes One might already call to you, send signs or make you feel Their presence (and maybe that's what brought you to this religion?). Though maybe you haven't felt a specific God's presence yet, and that's okay aswell! It's up to you who you want to get closer to, whether that's based on signs, intuition or anything else really. For example: I've always felt a connection to the moon, therefore worshipping Selene felt right as I already felt Her presence, but I seeked out a connection myself with Apollon without Him calling to me in any way.
Hellenic polytheism doesn't have a set of "rules" on how to worship, like a few other religions do. It's mainly based on our own intuition, what the Gods Themself communicate to us & the way Greeks in ancient Greece worshipped the Gods (mostly seen through mythology).
However, an important thing when it comes to keeping a connection is "Kharis" (roughly translated: grace), which helps to keep a connection with the Deity you're actively worshipping. I get more into that in a follow-up post, but what it comes down to is that our relationship with the Gods should be reciprocal (which means to not only take from Them, but also give things in return: usually through praise & offerings).
We worship the Gods by praying to and honoring Them, but also through offering to & praising Them. (You could argue that honoring is the same as praising, I like to believe they're completely separate concepts).
Like I mentioned before, this is a very broad topic, so I will have it scattered between posts. You can find the other posts by clicking on my profile, and, they're all scheduled to be posted sometime after this post!
(Currently unable to add a link leading to each post, as this is a scheduled to post while I am inactive. I will add them here as soon as I'm back!)

I'm not American but uhh heres my take on the shit that I've heard about like the abortion bans there
So I heard about the Adriana Smith situation and when I found out I was so heartbroken and like angry. I'm not American and don't even live near there but the things that are happening there I hear are crazy. But hearing about Adriana's case is so fucked up. So because of that I feel like I need to rant to someone about this because I just find this absolutely disgusting and horrifying.
TW/CW: Abuse mentions, r4pe mentions, SA mentions, forced pregnancy, child abuse, emotional abuse, physical abuse, mental abuse, phycological abuse, marital r4pe, teen pregnancy, parental neglect, mental health, su!c!d3 mentions but briefly, state of America, Trump/political content, discussion of male and female victims of abuse
Read my whole rant below the cut but otherwise scroll away
As a future mother I would rather not have a baby who would have a rough upbringing than the chance of actually birthing them. A child is supposed to have a happy and wonderful easygoing life. When people see a child with a tube in their nose or body we feel pity for them. We feel bad that they're in a horrible position.
Letting a baby be born extremely premature is horrible because it means they would have issues growing up and living. Chance will be one of those poor children. As a future mother I would NEVER allow my sweet baby to ever go through such horrors
Does Trump not see how hes doing more harm than good? Does he not realize how many men hes allowed to be selfish, abusive, terrible shits? Teen moms who conceived non-consensually will have to birth a baby that will wound their body before they have the chance to graduate high school, meaning they will experience the horrors that occurred during conception and during birth. I'm no idiot because I know that motherhood is a thankless job. Thats why I get my mom flowers. But how many teens do that? Hardly any.
That child will raise a child and not be thanked, instead knowing the culture of single mothers they will be shamed. And don't get me started about when that non-consensual conception occurs during marriage. Thats the worst. Imagine the man you marry, the one you are meant to spend all your life with loving with every breath hurts you in the most unforgivable way possible and now you are expecting their child. How will you properly, fully love that precious baby?
And I feel so bad for the men who are made fathers against their will. Some teen boys become fathers before they can apply for uni and its all against their will. Men who marry their wives thinking that they will be happy and safe and protect this woman with all they have end up being hurt by the one thing they were protecting and now shes pregnant with his child, a child he may have wanted but not like this. How will he love a child who was created through something so violating? Some parents can but can all? No. And thats the worst part…
Does Trump not see how its doing more harm than good? Does he not see that because of all this there will be a rise in abuse? And not just a partner abusing the other but child abuse as well? More and more children will be born into broken and breaking households where just breathing the wrong way can lead you to being physically, mentally and emotionally abused? This all leads up eventually into phycological abuse. Does Trump not see that more young girls will end up in abusive relationships and young boys being the abusers?
Does Trump not see that hes creating inadvertently the role that men are dominant and women submissive by making young girls abused and young boys the abuser which means Trump inadvertently creates this idea that women can't be abusers themselves and men can't be abused? Does Trump not see that crimes against women will rise substantially? Does Trump not see the amount of grapests will serve lesser punishments for their demonic crimes?
Does Trump not see the amount of pain he will be creating within this country, within thousands if not millions of homes? Does Trump not see the amount of babies that will eventually grow up to be abused or abusers? Does Trump not see the amount of who will probably end up in foster homes or in adoption centers? For those children to almost always end up growing up without a home? For the rise of children in adoption centers to go up while the number of those adopted barely rises?
The amount of grape, SA, and assault, cases to sky rocket? For the rate of depression, anxiety and just overall mental health to start decreasing at an alarming rate? For the amount of self-induced deaths to occur? That the reason for the male loneliness epidemic is because women don't want men to act the way they do because its EVIDENTALLY MEANING WITH EVIDENCE PROVEN ITS HARMFUL?!?!?!?! That women don't want a simple 5k per baby born and a medal because its basically a pat on the back because whats a medal going to do when 5k can barely buy you a home in America?
Speaking of America, does Trump not see that hes killing it?

(っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ The difference between magic and magick ♥
This post may be shorter than my others since I will be pretty straightforward. If anyone wants to add their own thoughts or nuances, feel free to comment or reblog with more info!
So… what’s the difference?
In the witchy and spiritual community, there’s a distinction between magic and magick, even though they’re pronounced the same.
Magic (with a c)
This usually refers to stage magic or illusion-based performance—things like:
Card tricks
Pulling a rabbit out of a hat
Escaping a locked box underwater
Anything you’d see in a Vegas show or at a birthday party
It’s fun, dramatic, and entertaining—but it’s not spiritual or energetic in nature. It’s illusion, sleight of hand, and performance art.
Magick (with a k)
This is the spiritual and energetic practice found in witchcraft and many metaphysical traditions. The “k” was popularized by Aleister Crowley to distinguish real occult or spiritual work from stage tricks.
Magick can include:
Candle spells
Cord-cutting rituals
Energy healing or manipulation
Moon rituals, sigils, jar spells, and intention-setting
Manifestation and spellwork
It’s about intention, energy, and personal power. It’s not about illusion—it’s about real internal and external shifts, done with purpose.
Final Thoughts
Not everyone uses the “k,” and that’s okay. Some people use “magic” to mean both things and let context speak for itself.
Others use “magick” to clearly signal that they’re talking about spiritual work, not party tricks.
Neither spelling is “wrong”—it’s just about how clearly you want to define what you’re talking about.
Bless be <3

(っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ Shadow work: what it is & how to start ♥
What is Shadow Work?
Shadow work is the process of facing the hidden, rejected, or “dark” parts of yourself—your insecurities, your fears, your habits, your regrets. These are often things you try to bury or pretend don’t exist, but they still affect how you think, behave, and interact with the world.
Shadow work isn’t about judging yourself. It’s about sitting with those parts and asking: Why are you here? Where did you come from? What are you trying to protect me from?
It’s the act of healing by understanding, not punishing.
Why Do Shadow Work?
To break toxic patterns and cycles
To understand your triggers and reactions
To heal from inner wounds that haven’t been acknowledged
To grow into a more authentic, grounded version of yourself
To reclaim your power from parts of yourself you’ve feared or ignored
This isn’t surface-level journaling. It’s the kind of work that might make you cry, feel angry, or uncomfortable—but it leads to real change.
How to Start Shadow Work
1. Create a Safe Space
Whether it’s a quiet room, a candle-lit desk, or a blanket cocoon—be somewhere that feels calm and safe. You’re going to be honest with yourself, and that requires comfort.
2. Ask Yourself the Uncomfortable Questions
Shadow work starts with the questions you usually avoid. Some examples:
Why do I always feel the need to please people who don’t respect me?
Why do I feel resentment toward someone who’s only shown me love?
What part of myself do I avoid because I fear being judged?
Why do I keep entering relationships that mirror my childhood pain?
Start by answering just one. Let yourself ramble. Let it be messy. Don’t worry about being “right.”
3. Don’t Try to Fix It Immediately
Sit with the answer. Feel what comes up. You’re not here to fix yourself—you’re here to see yourself.
Compassion is key. Shadow work isn’t about punishing your past self—it’s about understanding where they were coming from.
4. Journal It Out
Use a physical journal, a locked digital doc, or voice notes. Get it out of your head and into the open. That’s where healing begins.
Final Thoughts
You don’t have to do shadow work every day. Do it when you feel ready.
You don’t need fancy tools. Just honesty, time, and the willingness to reflect.
You will uncover hard truths, but you’ll also uncover your strength.
Your shadows aren’t evil—they’re just wounded. Healing them helps you become whole.
Shadow work isn’t pretty, but it’s powerful. It’s a conversation with your inner self that says: I see you. I’m listening. And I’m ready to grow.
Gang I need to actually start shadow work myself because lowkey I have issues I need to get through so... yeah. Also guys I really hope you enjoyed this new format!! I feel like the other ones were just forcing on this whole "sunshine and rainbows" but like tbh I'm just too lazy to continue putting on anymore emojies so shits and giggles...
Blessed be <3

(っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ How to work with moon phases in spell work ♥
Hey guys! I'm so sorry I went radio black on you all I just kinda went down a mental spiral and then started working with Lord Apollo (its been amazing hes the best!) and well school kinda made it hard to find time but Lord Apollo has taught me that well theres no such thing as the ‘right time’ and there is no such thing as a perfect beginning, only the act of beginning.
So I have decided to write up a bunch of posts today for you guys but also myself and for my Lord!! (Lord Apollo I platonically love you and greatly appreciate working with you and so happy you came into my life to guide me.)
The moon doesn’t just look pretty—it’s also a powerful spiritual and energetic tool. Every phase of the moon brings a different energy, meaning you can time your spells or rituals depending on what you want to manifest, release, or shift.
There are 8 phases of the moon, and all of them carry unique vibes that you can align with during your spellwork.
🌑 New Moon 🌑
Best for: New beginnings, planting seeds, fresh starts
This is the time to set intentions
Great for manifesting new opportunities or change
Think of it as the “blank page” of the moon cycle
🌓 Waxing Crescent 🌓
Best for: Planning, goal-setting, motivation
Start taking baby steps toward your intentions
Build momentum, journal, visualize progress
Light spells for clarity or guidance work well here
🌔 First Quarter 🌔
Best for: Action, strength, overcoming obstacles
Perfect for courage or motivation spells
Push through resistance and take real-world action
Great time to affirm your commitment to your goal
🌖 Waxing Gibbous 🌖
Best for: Refinement, focus, adjustment
Tweak your plans, polish your spells, stay consistent
Prep for peak energy at the full moon
Use this phase to reinforce and strengthen what you’re building
🌕 Full Moon 🌕
Best for: Manifestation, power, releasing blocks
The most intense, powerful energy
Perfect for high-energy spells, attraction, or celebration
Also a good time to release what’s holding you back
Strongest time to charge your tools or create moon water
🌗 Waning Gibbous 🌗
Best for: Gratitude, reflection, sharing wisdom
Journal your wins, express thanks
Begin turning inward, spiritually or emotionally
Helpful for mentorship or spellwork for others
🌘 Last Quarter 🌘
Best for: Letting go, banishing, cutting cords
Release what’s no longer serving you
Shadow work, cleansing, and breaking toxic cycles
Cast spells for clarity, closure, or endings
🌒 Waning Crescent 🌒
Best for: Rest, healing, inner peace
Dream work, divination, and intuition-building
Gentle self-love rituals or rest spells
Clear your space and reset your energy
Moon Water Tip:
You can make moon water during any phase, not just the full moon!
New Moon water = intention-setting and internal work
Full Moon water = energetic boosts, cleansing, and spells
Each phase gives your moon water a different “flavor” of energy—use what matches your goals!
My Final Thoughts~!
You don’t have to follow the moon cycle to do effective spellwork, but aligning with it can boost your results
Even just being aware of what phase the moon is in can help you tune into the world around you more deeply
Working with the moon can feel like syncing with your own natural rhythm—and that’s some pretty powerful magick

Absolutely be political in your worship.
Aphrodite isn't called Pandemos (of All People) so you can sit around and let the big names capitalise love and serve it only to those who can afford to pay past the persecution. Hermes isn't called Oeopolus (Shepherd) so you can sit around and let a bunch of power-hungry wolves lead a flock of influencable sheep. Apollo isn't called Paean (Healer) so you can sit around while wealthy corporations serve healthcare only to those who can afford not to die. Athena isn't called Ambulia (Counsellor) so you can sit around while the people are being fed propaganda against each other to divert them from the real enemy at the top. Dionysus isn't called Eleuthereus (the Liberator) so you can sit around while freedom is only granted to those whose skins have the acceptable colour while the others die in chains. Zeus isn't called Xenios (of the Foreigners) so you can sit around while the borders are closed to those who need it and only open to those who can give back the money.
The Gods stand with the oppressed, and so should you.

It makes me so sad that in the HelPol community I see people screenshot some kid's posts just to ridicule their worship here. I've seen that multiple times, and not just with children. Disabled pagans get ridiculed here as well.
I think it's cute when a kid offers kid things to the Gods. It's innocent and sweet. I also think it's cool to see the creative ways that disabled or poor people carve out our own access to worship. It's not disrespectful to offer what you have or what you care about to the Gods. It's not disrespectful to share your meals and snacks with the Ouranic Gods. Kids, the poor, and the disabled all have very limited resources to work with. There are also people that have to hide their worship. And we all still make it work in our own way.
If you start getting some elitist thoughts about this, consider why you do. Is it not the effort/sacrifice or LOVE that matters most? What makes you think that a disabled or poor person is not putting in an equal amount of effort as you? Because the results aren't as grand and conventionally attractive? What makes you think their love for the Gods is lesser than yours? Because you have more resources to show it? Get a grip.
Xenia is one of the most important aspects of Hellenic Polytheism, so have some basic respect for innocent strangers.
Praise be to the Gods, especially Lord Zeus, and may we all receive the same treatments we give to others.

before actively practicing, i was always like i don’t mind that people are so formal and use honorifics like lady and lord, king and queen, but i probably won’t
i get it now. my love and respect and devotion makes me want to be formal and use titles. it just feels wrong not to. and being religious makes me poetic, and gives me inspiration, and i totally get why we have all this ancient poetry that lived for this long.
