Eddie looked forward to coming home every day. So much. Like so much.
Because he always knew that you'd be there, excited to see him, even if it hadn't been that long since you'd last seen each other.
He parked his truck in the driveway of the small house that now belonged to the two of you.
A very own home for you both.
He noted your car in the driveway as well, but when he came inside the house, you weren't there to greet him. He took off his boots and set them by the door, reaching down to pet Pickles as she wound herself around his legs. The small black cat purred loudly before giving him one final rub and heading over to the window to sit on the ledge and stare outside. People and animal watching had become a favorite pastime of hers.
"Angel?” he called out, wondering where you had managed to disappear too. He poked around downstairs but found nothing but the delicious smell of fresh brownies. It was like you'd known that he had been craving them. You definitely made the best brownies…not that he was biased or anything.
When you didn't answer him, he climbed up the stairs, assuming you were in the bedroom or office or…somewhere. Hopefully.
As he got to the top of the stairs, the floor squeaked slightly. That alone was enough to alert you to his presence, “Eddie?”
He followed the sound of your voice down the hall and around the corner, finding the stairs to the attic pulled down, “its just me. What're you doing up there?”
“Hi my love,” your pretty face appeared and made him smile, “I'm just going through some boxes to find the Halloween Decorations! I know I have some from the years past-”
“It's not even September yet,” Eddie raised an eyebrow, amusement written all over his face. He was trying not to laugh, but it was all in good fun.
“Halloween is a year round tradition, Edward!” You beckoned for him to come up the stairs, “its not my fault that my year round decor just happens to be Halloween appropriate. Halloween is a lifestyle.”
“I thought it was a holiday?” He started to make the short climb, quickly standing up next to you. He gently took your face in his hands, beaming at you.
“It's a lifestyle,” you repeated, putting your hands on his forearms, smiling back at him, “hi.”
“Hi,” he leaned and kissed you softly, pulling away much sooner than you would have liked, but you knew you'd get plenty more later, “Halloween being a lifestyle choice makes sense considering your skull collection.”
“It is an impressive skull collection,” you mused before kissing him again. When he had first met you he was surprised to find that you collected all sorts of different replica skulls. You didn't give off the vibe immediately but he found that they did suit you, “wanna help me decorate, handsome?”
“For you? Anything,” he agreed, heart swelling at the pure joy on your face, “you want to decorate now? We'll decorate now.”
“And maybe go shopping for some new decorations?”
“Sure baby,” he promised, “you never decorated our old apartment much.”
“It was small,” you shrugged softly, “and that only felt like a home because of you. But this is our home now, one we worked hard for. And there's no one else I'd rather be here with. Now we have the freedom and ability to make it our own, however we want.”
“Yeah,” fondness colored his voice as he pressed a kiss to your forehead, “I love you, you know?”
“I love you,” you threw your arms around him and gave him a cuddly, tender embrace, “now, my love, will you help me bring the boxes downstairs?”
“Yeah, yeah,” he sighed dramatically before immediately getting ready to bring everything down the ladder. You could have asked him for the moon and stars and would have gotten them for you, “I hope you know I'm only being nice because you made brownies.”
“I knew I made them for a reason,” you grinned at him, “you're not a hard sell, Eddie Munson.”
“You're lucky I love you!”
“I love you lots and lots,” you promised, moving the first box towards him so he could bring it down, “and then some!”
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
“I'm not sure about this,” Eddie frowned at the coffee currently nestled in your hand, eyebrows almost disappearing into his dark curls, “why do you want a drink that tastes like pumpkin?”
He was, meanwhile and as usual, holding a cup of hot, black coffee. You grinned and shrugged your shoulders before talking a long sip, “because it's delicious and the right amount of sweet and spicy. Besides, it doesn't taste like pumpkin, it's the spices. Try it.”
“What if I die?” He scoffed dramatically before taking the cup of your hand taking a tentative sip. You watched his face go through several emotions before he finally swallowed.
“It's good, huh?” You knew him well enough by now to know when he liked something. He mumbled something under his breath before handing the coffee back to you, “and you didn't die.”
“It's…acceptable,” he tried to play it off but you could see him struggle to hold his laugh back. He quickly grabbed it again and took another sip, “I wouldn't try it again.”
“Whatever,” you kissed his cheek before taking your coffee back and looping your arm through his, walking him in the direction of the home goods store you'd dragged him to. Not that he was really complaining - he loved Halloween too after all, “you don't have to admit I'm right.”
“You wish,” he rolled his eyes dramatically, eyes widening when he noticed all the Halloween items in the shop’s window display, “wow. That's so much Halloween…and it's still so early in the season.”
“That's how it is nowadays,” you shrugged, “but it's to my advantage!”
“What exactly is that you're looking for?”
You moved to step in front of him, looking ridiculously cute in your sweater and scarf and boots, all bundled up to stay warm, “we are looking for whatever speaks to us. You gotta feel it in your gut.”
He couldn't help but laugh as you reached for his hand and laced your fingers through his, “whatever you say, angel.”
“We don't have to do this,” you whispered softly, “if you don't want to, I don't want to make you do this, or to make you feel obligated-”
“I want to do this,” he promised, “I love spending time with you, whatever we do.”
“Me too,” you relaxed, smiling shyly at your boyfriend. You reached over and tucked a rogue curl that had escaped from his bun behind his ear, “c'mon on then! Oh - you get to pick what we do next. Wanna go to Guitar Center maybe?”
His eyes lit up as he nodded. He knew that you weren't a music nerd like him, but you always listened intently when he spoke about it, often getting very passionate. You always supported him and his music and he couldn't ask for more.
 “Hell yeah.”
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
That afternoon you spent several hours walking around and looking for the perfect Halloween and fall decor for the house. It was, admittedly, a lot more fun than Eddie could have imagined.
Plus, the two of you had gone to Guitar Center afterwards. Which hadn't hurt. You always felt like you were lost when Eddie got really into talking about music, but you loved how passionate he was about music…everything really.
The only thing that was left to do was to get pumpkins for the front porch and maybe some pie. But that you wanted to do closer to actual Halloween so the pumpkins wouldn't rot. Although Eddie had insisted that would look metal as fuck.
The two of you had decided to make it a date day and by the time the two of you were heading home it was later into the evening.  Eddie was driving your car, one hand on the wheel and the other one was holding yours.
Music was playing quietly as the two of you talked about anything and everything that crossed your mind. After a while, a content silence fell over the two of you as you stared out the window at the passing scenery.
“What're you thinking about, angel?” He quickly turned his head to look at you, his face illuminated by the passing street lights.
“Nothing,” you felt your cheeks warm up, and keep your eyes turned from his. he squeezed your hand and you knew better than to think he would leave it alone. That wasn't his style at all. You turned your head to face him, squinting your eyes before sighing, “Alright, its something. But it's silly and you're going to laugh.”
“I wouldn't laugh,” he insisted as you raised an eyebrow at him, “fine, I won't laugh unless it's very laugh worthy.”
“You're such an ass,” but you were laughing now, the sound full of adoration and affection, “I was just thinking about how much I love this.”
“This?”
“Us,” you watched a smile tug up the corners of his mouth, “I love being with you. I love you.”
“I love you too,” he turned the street to your house, effortlessly pulling into the driveway and parking the car. You unbuckled your seat belt and turned to him, looking at him sweetly, “what? You're looking at me all funny.”
“I'm not looking at you funny,” you leaned over the center console and traced your fingers gently along his jaw, “I just really love you.”
“And…? I know there's something else you're not saying,” he took your chin in his hand and tilted your face up towards him, “out with it angel.”
“It's just that,” you bit your lip, sucking in a slow breath, “I can't wait to marry you one day. I mean. I know this is all real, that what we have is real. But I also can't wait to call you my husband one day. It's like an added little bonus.”
“Oh,” his pale cheeks turned bright pink as he tried to control his excitement. At first you were worried that he wasn't going to share the same sentiment but any worry that popped up quickly disappeared, “I can't wait for that either. I can't wait to call you my wife one day.”
“And you'll be my husband,” you whispered as he nodded eagerly, “you want to marry me too?”
“Of course I do,” he admitted shyly, “and I'm going to propose. You'll just have to wait and see when that is. It'll happen but you'll never know when.”
“Until it happens…”
“Until it happens,” he agreed. Eddie held out his hands and motioned for you to shuffle over the center console, “c'mere.”
“We're in the car!”
“Don't care,” he insisted, helping you over and onto his lap, “just wanna be close to you.”
“Even better,” you whispered as you wrapped your arms around his neck and pulled him close to your lips so you could kiss him. He sighed softly against your lips, his warm and sweet smell overwhelming you in the best ways possible, “I love you so much, Eddie. Thank you for always dealing with me and my shenanigans.”
“I've never dealing with you,” he nudged his nose against yours, “I love every bit of you. Plus I also enjoy all of your so called shenanigans. We just have…adventures. Silly ones, but good ones. and I happen to love Halloween as much as you. It's a win-win for me.”
“For both of us,” you pressed your forehead against his, “do you wanna go inside and put up some of the stuff we got?”
“Yes,” he agreed eagerly, “but I want to enjoy some more of you first.”
“What…oh,” you grinned, “I would very much like that.”
“Let's go then,” he opened the door and gently helped you out of the car, “no time to waste, m'lady.”
“You're such a dork!”
“So are you,” he countered, “but I love you regardless.”
“And I love you, Eddie."

Monday
“He was so big.” Nobara shivers, a small smile gracing her lips. “I know he was totally texting other girls behind my back and shit, but that dick was dicking.” She points aggressively at nothing, merely trying to make her point stronger.
“Ew. Can you not tell me that right now? I’m eating.” You turn away from her, twisting your fork in your noodles, “I was gone for a week, and this is what you do in my absence. You should be ashamed of yourself.” You take a bit of your food, but immediately follow it with a sip of your Sprite. Adding a cough with a very suspicious word that rhymes with shut.
Nobara playfully glares at you, “No girl, you signed up for this when we became friends, you need to know.” Nobara leans her head down on the table, biting her bottom lip. “I’m telling you, I miss my stink-stink.” She pulls out her phone, “Maybe I should text him…”
“I don’t want to hear you crying about him anymore.” You scold, pointing your fork at her accusingly, “I can’t deal with your sobbing when I’m trying to go to bed because he broke your heart again.” It’s the reason you're moving out, actually.
That's being mean, it isn’t the reason why you’re moving out. But, it definitely is one of them.
A playful smirk slowly builds on Nobara's face, “It won’t be my emotions I'm crying over.” She laughs as you roll your eyes.
“Okay, that’s enough for brunch today.” You shut your Panda Express box closed, “Call me when you're no longer in heat so you can help me pack.” You grab your tote-bag, slinging it over your shoulders.
Nobara pouts, “Awh. I can’t believe you’re leaving me already.” She pushes herself away from the table, trailing behind you. “I mean, I’m not stopping you, but who would want to leave me?”
Obviously you do.
“Are you moving in with your parents in the meantime?” Nobara asks, tilting her head at you.
You shake your head, “No, I already have an apartment contract. Rooming with this random girl who goes to a different school.” You sigh, “It’s a bit far for my comfort, but the view to the city is gorgeous. Couldn’t pass it up.” You’re going to have to deal with taking public transportation from now on, but that’s a new risk you’re willing to take.
“Yeah, my new roommate is moving in on Monday.” Nobara sighs, “I don’t even know her name yet…”
“That can be a good thing, maybe you’ll make a new friend to tell you sex stories to.” You smile at her kindly.
“No, I swear if you cut me off after you move out I’ll go and kill you myself.” Nobara accuses, a finger pointing at you scoldingly. “You have to have lunch with me everyday now that I can’t see you.”
You may be mean, but you’re not that mean. “Of course not, I would never leave you. I wouldn’t give up your answers for Anatomy and Physiology.” You tap her nose, grabbing her hand and pulling her next to you. “Also your wallet for amazing food.”
“Good to know all I’m good for is homework answers and food.” Nobara groans, yet tightens her hand around yours nonetheless. “Next time I swear I’m going to let you figure things out on your own. No more puppy eyes when you don’t want to do the homework, or when you’re hungry.”
“That could be a good thing. Except the food part.” You mutter, an amused smile slowly building on your lips. “I’m sure my future patients will appreciate me learning the curriculum rather than copying someone else.”
“Agreed.” She leans her head on your shoulder, hugging your arm. “Hopefully you’ll be able to pass the final without me. I don’t know if I’ll be able to pass life without you.”
You lean your head atop of her’s, sighing softly. “You’ll be okay, next thing you know your next roommate is going to be reenacting you when you tell her your sex stories.” Sure, Nobara is a hard person to get along with and can be quite brash, but you still enjoy her friendship nonetheless.
Nobara pauses for a moment in thought, “Wait? Do you want me to call my friends? They can also help you pack.” She smiles wickedly, “We can make them do the heavy stuff because we’re just..” She dramatically places the back of her hand to her forehead, “Weak little fraile women who can’t do anything without the fear of breaking a nail.”
You look at your nails, seeing that they were freshly done, a cute white set with small jews sparkling in the sun. “That is a genuine concern of mine, though.” You lower your hand again, being careful not to snag it on your bag.
“Even better.” Nobara smiles, tearing her hand away from you and pulling out her phone to open her messages. “Here, I’ll call them and ask for help.” She clicks someone’s contact before you can even answer.
“No, please don’t.” You tell her, watching as her finger hovers over the call button. “I don’t even know these people and I’m asking them to do stuff for me, that’s going to make me feel bad.” You press your lips together, “Maybe if they were my friends… but it’s okay, I’ll have everything done.”
Nobara waves you off, “Nonsense, it’s not like they have anything better to do.” She laughs, “Hell, they’re probably just laying around waiting for me to call them to give them something to do.” Her finger presses the call button, you immediately cringe.
The phone rings once, before the line is picked up. Nobara looks to the side, “You busy?” You can’t hear the other side, but she smiles and quickly adds, “No you’re not, stop being like that. Come help me pack after class.” She ends the call, shoving the phone into her back pocket.
“I hope they don’t come.” You whisper, only to pause, “Oh my god! Shit, I completely forgot I’m supposed to meet up with my professor right now!” You pull away from Nobara, panicking, “I’ll be right back, I’ll—I’ll meet you at our dorm!” You shove your food into her hands before quickly dashing off, your skirt bouncing with each step.
You’re out of breath, but slam the doors or your lecture hall open, catching the attention of the white haired professor. You’re quick to glance at the time, seeing it was almost two minutes past your professors office hours.
You pray to Satan's right ass cheek that your professor is still here.
Your professor passes you a quick glance, before singing, “Office hours ended two minutes ago.” He continues collecting the papers on his small desk and putting them in his bag. “But, I’ll humor you since I know you’re not the physical type.”
You’re aware of how hard you’re breathing from running, the words come out jagged as you drop your bag to the floor, “T–Touche..” You move to his desk, picking up a few papers and handing it to him, although it’s in your better interest. You lean your body on the desk.
“So…” He draws, blue eyes flickering from his desk to your face, “What did you need help with?” There's a hint of playfulness behind his voice, but it’s equally as mocking.
Ugh, you hate Professor Gojo. Okay… that’s a lie, he’s really nice to look at, but that’s all. “I’m sure you got my many emails and noticed my empty seat, but I couldn’t be here for a solid week.” You pass him a meek smile.
“Why were you out?” He asks, tilting his head to the side. You’ve always liked that about Gojo, how animated he is. It adds an interesting draw to his lectures. Seeing his hands flail dramatically around to emphasize any topic he was teaching.
You look to the side, instantly avoiding eye contact, your heart tugging at the thought. “Uhm… F-Family emergency..” You wave your hand, as if the topic was a fly you were trying to rid, “I was just wondering, what I missed? We do anything important?”
Professor Gojo places his hands on his lips, looking at the roof in thought. “Hm, I don’t think you missed too much.” He grabs his black sunglasses and pushes his hair back with them. “Just a month-long project that takes up thirty percent of your grade.”
Your eyes widen, your heart falling to the pit of your stomach while your jaw falls slack. “You’re joking.” You take a step back, it feels like you’re going to faint. “Oh my god. Please don’t say that.” Why didn’t Nobara tell you anything about this?!
Professor Gojo smiles, “Not lying, unfortunately.” He flips his sunglasses to fit comfortably on the bridge of his nose, “Your grade is totally tanked.” He tilts his head to the side, white silky strands falling with him. “Unless you can make up a week of lost time in a month.” He thinks, “It’s the thirteenth, so, it might be possible.”
A week worth of work, that doesn’t even include your other classes. Work you also need to catch up on. You quickly try to calculate the workload for the other classes, but immediately feel worse when you do. You’re sitting around twenty hours, maybe even twenty five hours of work.
It’s manageable, you’ve done it before your freshman year when something similar happened, it may be the reason why your life ends early, but definitely doable. Also something you definitely don’t want to do either.
For a brief second, you're tempted to pull down your shirt and ask him, ‘Is there anything I can do to fix my grade?’ Like those weird pornos or fanfics you and Nobara view to pass time, but you immediately think against it.
One, that isn’t going to work. This isn’t a fanfic.
Two, you’re pretty sure Gojo is gay, and married.
Although, if you were to tell Gojo that last one, you’re sure he would be offended. Yet, immediately follow it up with pictures of his gay partner. Why do you think that? You’re pretty sure you’ve seen it happen before. Like, seventy-six percent sure.
So, you cringe and ask, not seductively at all, “Is there anything I can do to fix my grade?” You’re sure Gojo is aware of your shiny GPA, something which many of your college professors attempt at tainting, but can’t with how determined you are to keep up your grades.
Gojo looks at the roof again, thinking for a moment. “I can assign you a different project, or I can just assign the original project to you.” He looks at his desk, pulling open a drawer and searching through the papers, “Which do you want to do?”
“Is this a final?” Your question is a bit blunt, but Gojo picks up it’s purely fear talking.
“This is the only thing I’m grading this before your final. Meaning, it’s due…” Gojo leans forward, looking at the calendar on his desk. “The eighth of December. And don’t worry, it’s a project just going in as an assessment grade.”
That’s right, finals are right around the corner, on the eleventh of December. Meaning, if you procrastinate on this project, or somehow fall behind, you’re sitting–at most–a weekend of studying for your finals.
God, this makes everything so much more stressful for you.
He wiggles his shoulders, “I wanted to give my students a break to study.” He cups his face, “Aren’t I an amazing person?”
No. Your eye twitches, “Yeah, such an amazing person.” You sigh, moving away from his desk and grabbing a chair. “What was the assignment?” You prop it right next to his chair, grabbing the staple of paper and skimming through the stipulations of the project.
“You’re popular, right?”
No one is popular in college, people just won’t shut up. “Define popular.” You grimace.
Gojo doesn't miss a beat when saying, “You have many friends, right?”
You don’t miss a beat when saying, “Define many?”
Gojo gives you an indescribable look, “What do you mean describe many? What else would that mean?”
You look to the side, “Well, if I came to lecture and ate five cheeseburgers, you’d be like, wow, that’s a lot of food. But, if I told you I only had five friends, you’d be like, wow, that’s not many friends.” You reason.
Gojo doesn’t look disappointed, but he’s not necessarily proud either. “Well, you.. don’t, right?” He passes you an empathetic look.
“Of course not.” Gojo sighs in relief, “I only have two.” Gojo ignores your remark and snatches the paper from you, ignoring your playful grin. He’s quick to explain the project, but with each stipulation you feel your stomach tying itself into knots.
Partner work?
Mental Evaluation?
A project where you pick a student to physically and mentally evaluate their day to day life for a week. Learning about their eating habits, working habits, study habits, and personal life. Then, write an essay about your studies and your personal evaluation on their health, life, and personal character. Gojo assured you that this paper should be told to the participant, however does not have to be shared with them, and will not be shared with anyone other than himself.
The project seems evasive… you wonder if it’s even allowed. Which seems right up Gojo’s alley. He was always in people’s business. But, a grade is a grade, and you're not going to complain. He’s one to assign something much harder to teach you a lesson about complaining.
Gojo grabs a pen and writes something down in your packet, “I’m already aware you want to become a physical therapist, so I’ll put that down as the hands on part of your project.” He doodles a small version of him worshiping the rubric, “However, since a handful of students already chose to do medical physical therapy, I’ll have you do sports physical therapy.”
You feel your stomach turn again. Sports? You haven’t played a sport, more or less exercised, since your highschool days. Even then, you weren’t in a physically demanding sport such as volleyball or soccer, you did marching band.
Which you could argue was extremely physically demanding, but you regress.
Gojo adds your name to a shared spreadsheet, adding your name to the sport physical therapy colom. A small shiver of relief soars over your body when you see the name Maki. Thank god. At least you know someone. You’re pretty sure you have her number, too.
Gojo looks at you again, resting on the palm of his hand. “It doesn't change much. Instead of choosing a random student, now you have to choose a student athlete for your project to be based off of. It’s simple, and shouldn't take more than a few weeks. For you at least.”
It’s nice for Gojo to have faith in you, but you don’t have it in yourself. “Thanks.” You take the paper from him, again looking through the packet again. It seems simple on paper, the most difficult part seems to be finding someone willing to be the participant, but you’re sure you can manage.
Hopefully.
Gojo waves you off, “I’ll see you in class.”
You’re already off, grabbing your bag and shoving your papers into it. Off in a rush to the next place demanding your attention. Which feels like overwhelmingly everything this past week.
You smile, your hands signing, “That’s cool, you are really good at drawing.” You use a pink crayon to continue your drawing, a simple picture of the young girl sitting across from you. She’s in elementary school and incredibly shy, often choosing to stay by your side when it’s playtime. You don’t mind.
She smiles at you, grabbing her sparkly notebook and writing a quick, “Thanks.” Before quickly pushing it away and continuing to color the sun an interesting shade of purple. You take a small mental note, the sun should be purple, it’s pretty.
You continue to braid her long hair, being careful not to tug too hard and accidentally mess up her artwork. You use a hair tie with a pink bow to tie it off, making sure all the strands are secure before pulling two small strands to frame her face.
You move to the left of her, telling her, “Now we are matching.” She awkwardly giggles at that.
“Where’s the president?”
Your head whips around, looking for whoever called you. You immediately know from the way they’re addressing you, it’s a parent. You place a hand on the girl's back, standing up and making your way to the impatient parent.
You pass her a kind smile, “Can I help you?”
“I’m here for my child.” She seethes at you, her eyes moving up and down your frame, “Is that even appropriate for working with children? Do they pay you to dance on a pole and dress like a–”
“I’m not getting paid.” You tell her, holding your hands behind your back, “I’m the president of the ASL club here, we teach people about ASL and the language, we also volunteer here when the School of Deaf Children have a small field trip to our school.” You smile brighter, “I don’t get paid to do anything.” You reiterate.
She gives you a look between disgust and jealousy, which you can’t blame her. Not everyone can be intelligent and as beautiful as you. “What’s your child’s name? I can grab them for you.” You call for a member of the club, telling them to bring a clipboard with the sign out sheet.
When they do, you give the items to the mother and search for her son. You click your foot on the floor three times, the vibrations sending a silent call for the boy. He turns his head and looks at you, watching as you point behind you at his mother. He sighs and gathers his things.
You laugh and move back to the mother, taking the clipboard and skimming over the information she added. You ignore how she misspelled his name, actually, that’s a lie, you erased it and fixed her mistake. You do ignore the nasty glare she gives you.
“He always enjoys being here with us,” You watch as the little boy tugs his things to you, feet dragging on the floor dramatically. You place a hand on his head, “I’ll see you on the next field trip.”
She scowls at you, but softens her gaze on her child, asking him about his day. There’s a genuine smile on her face while she talks to her child, so you don’t let her words get to you.
“Don’t know how you do it.” Her voice is sharp, pulling you to look at her. “Especially after meeting with Gojo, you’re a trooper.” There’s a hint of playfulness, although you can barely pick up on it due to her RBF.
You laugh dryly, “Oh, I–I don’t know, I’m just…”
“Your flask is sticking out of your pocket.” Maki points at your torso, her face as emotionless as ever.
Your eyes widen with fear, looking down at your torso only to notice you don’t have pockets. You pass her a hard glare, “Ha ha. Very funny.” You lean your weight on one of your legs, “I would be dead if found with something like that, especially here.” You gesture to the children behind you.
Maki laughs, “So..” She starts, “I’m sure you’ve finally gotten the project.”
You groan, looking back at the club working with the kids. “Ugh, yeah.” You roll your eyes, “I don’t know what’s worse, that fact it’s thirty percent of my grade, or I have to humiliate myself to a random athlete to pass it.” You sigh.
Maki’s eyes light up for a moment, “Wait, you’re also doing athletes? I thought you would be in “physical therapy” where you can just choose random friends.” She tilts her head, “Isn’t that what you’re kinda known for?”
You mush your eyebrows together, “Wait, what do you mean?... Known for?” You pause, “Wait, don’t tell me that how people know me?..”
Maki laughs, before mockingly saying, “Oh, wait? Is that the girl who wants to become a physical therapist? You think she has the answers?” She crosses her hands over her chest, “Something someone has said to me while doing work.”
You pout, “Why can’t I be known for how cute I dress, or something?” Why couldn't you be known as that mysterious hot girl in lecture? “Whatever, I don’t care…” You do care, you care a lot. “But, no yeah, Gojo said there wasn’t any room, so he put me in the physical therapy for athletes slot.”
Maki cringes, “Rough. But I wouldn’t worry, it’s just a few people in our class.” You let out a sigh of relief. “You know what’s rougher? Actually finding the athlete, luckily my little brother is one so I got a free pass.” She laughs, cupping her mouth, “And I don’t have to embarrass myself following a random boy like a puppy.”
You feel your eyes widen, “Shit, we really have to follow them around?” You sigh, “I don’t even know any athletes, I don’t even know where to start…” You look at one of the kids running around, making sure to keep an eye on them in case they trip. “I feel like I’m going to embarrass myself by asking a random one to help me.”
“I think Gojo is plotting.” Maki says, “He’s bored and wants something exciting to happen, so he decided to make this stupid project where we’re forced to be close to someone twenty-four-seven.”
You laugh, a decently sized crowd passing behind you and Maki. “Sounds like Gojo.” You cup your mouth, as if anyone were interested in your conversation and whisper, “I heard he assigned a boy and a girl together back when he first started teaching and now they’re married working on campus.”
“Oh yeah, have the girl’s lecture class.” Maki looks at the sky, “Gojo fiends for drama, but we all know this.” She turns over her shoulder, wondering about the loud and obnoxious conversation behind her, only to notice the large crowd of boys. She softly groans in annoyance.
You quickly eye them alongside her.
“Football boys,” She mutters, clearly agitated. “Hate them all, so glad my brother isn’t one of them.”
“Should I ask one of them to do my project?” You tilt your head, watching as they slowly move away from you, their loud chatter getting more distant. “Maybe if I pull down my shirt enough someone will say yes.”
Maki scoffs a laugh, “Yeah. That could definitely work.” She looks back at the group, her happy expression falling for a moment, “Just don’t get the pink haired one. He’s a dick.”
Your eyes snap back to the group, you didn’t even notice a pink haired guy, “What, why?” You don’t recognize him, which means you don’t have any classes with him.
“Some asshole.” Maki scowls, turning back to look at you. If looks could kill, the guy would be six feet under. “He’s a football player who doesn’t know shit about the real world, got everything handed to him while growing up.”
“How do you know that?”
“Because he talks about it in class.” She shakes her head, “You should hear him, so full of himself, and won’t shut the fuck up.” She pivots a foot behind the other, “He’s rude, too. The only people he’s somewhat nice to, are his professors.”
You laugh, “That’s how it is sometimes, Maki.” You look back at him, he’s tall and built, “Besides…” You smile at Maki’s disgusted face, knowing what you’re going to say. “If he’s hot, he could do whatever he wants for me and I’d thank him.”
“You’re hanging around Nobara too much.” Maki turns on her heel, “Whatever, if you choose him as a partner and fail, I’ll be the first one to tell you..” She smiles over her shoulder, “I told you so.”
You’re not going to, but you say, “I doubt it.” You turn back to the kids, wanting to put your full attention on them again, but pause. Your eyes travel to look back at the man, skimming over his body again.
Maybe you can die on this hill, but assholes are hot.
Then again, you don’t know any assholes in your life, so you can totally be delusional and be reading too many fanfics for your own good. But, Nobara does, and she loves her asshole, you think. So, they can’t be that bad, especially if they look that good.
Whatever. You have more important things to obsess about.
You’re about to enter your room, when the door swings open, slamming into your face. You whimper, stumbling backwards into the wall behind you. Both your hands cupping your face in pain, your cute bag falling to the floor.
“Oh my gosh! I’m so sorry.” A pair of hands make their way to your shoulders, “I didn’t think anyone would–holy shit, Nobara!” The person shouts, “I accidentally killed someone with the door!” Their voice is boyish, but in some weird way that is what makes it charming.
Someone else rounds the corner, your guess is that it’s Nobara. “You killed her?” She pushes the boy away from you, her hands wrapping around your shoulders as she crams you in her neck, “Poor thing’s had a rough day, and this is what you welcome her home to?!”
“I’m so sorry!” The boy responds, he sounds very ashamed.
“Keep it down, it’s three, everyone’s trying to nap right now.” Another boyish voice perks up, he sounds more monotone than the first one. As if he also had woken from a nap, “Try bringing the body inside before panicking.”
“Good idea, Megumi.” You feel a pair of hands grab your waist and hoist you up, throwing you over their shoulder like a sack of potatoes. You don’t know if you should be offended, or flattered. “We’ll check for a pulse when we’re inside.”
Nobara's voice pops up again, “Wait! Be careful of her skirt! You’re going to flash people!” She scolds, and you pray to everything that is almighty that there isn’t anyone in the dorm hall. “Megumi, you grab her bag!”
There’s no way this is happening. You move one of your hands to press on the fabric of your skirt, pressing it against the high of your thighs. “I got it.” You tell her while the man carries you into the room, Nobara shutting the door behind the two of you.
You take this time to finally look at the other man in your room, not the one carrying you, just to specify. The man has jet black hair, part of you wonders if it’s dyed, and pale skin. His eyes look a bit lifeless, but you can’t blame him, it is college after all. If you can remember correctly, the man holding you like a potato-sack called him Megumi.
You’re dropped on your bed, your hair fluttering around your head. For a moment, you feel like time has stopped, the boy in front of you smiling widely. You want to laugh at the irony, a part of you thinks, what a small world? Then, you remember you attend a college, and the only people who walk around at that college are the students who attend that college.
Wow, who would’ve thought, right?
So, the first thing that leaves your lips is, “I like your hair.” To give yourself some credit, it’s what you found the most interesting part of his backside.
The boy tilts his head, his hand moving to run it through his pink tufts, “Thanks.” He leans on the bed next to you, he’s still looking at you as he says, “I like you.” He smiles again, grabbing one of Nobara’s pillows, “You’re light, by the way.”
Flattered. That, or he’s just freakishly strong, which seems more plausible. Still, his words strike a place in your chest, either that or you really need to talk to more people. You turn to Nobara, “I like him, why haven’t you invited him to our dorm before?”
Nobara gives you a look, and that answers your question. She juts her thumb at the boy sitting next to you, “Yuuji’s been the one taking your stuff to my car.” She cocks her head at the other boy in the room, he’s enamored by something on his phone. “Megumi’s been actually packing your things.” She winks, “He ended up only using like three–four boxes with his packing skills.”
Your face lights up, “Really? That’s awesome!” That means you can return the other six you bought from Home Depot for way more than you should’ve. “Thanks, you just saved me like twenty bucks.”
Megumi gives you a thumbs up, before looking back at his phone. Now that you’re really looking at him, he looks really familiar, you just can’t put your finger on it. You could swear you’ve seen that RBF somewhere before…
Nobara furrows her eyebrows, marching over to Megumi and grabbing his face, “Hey! Look at me when I’m talking to you!” She puts her hand on the back of his head, forcing him into a subtle bow. “When I introduce you to someone, actually look at them, jerk!”
Megumi seems to pout almost, giving into Nobara’s demands and bowing, giving you a half-hearted, “I’m Megumi Fushiguro, it’s a pleasure to meet you.” Even when Nobara removes her hand, he stays in that position.
You find it a bit cute.
“Wait, we’re saying our full name?” Yuuji tilts his head so he’s practically nose to nose with your face, “I’m Yuuji Itadori, it’s nice to finally meet you.” He looks back at Nobara, “She doesn’t shut up about you.”
A pillow hits him directly in the face, and Yuuji dramatically falls with it. Acting if he had gotten shot with a gun. Nobara points her nose up, “What you get for running your mouth, I-ta-dor-i.” She says his name with so much conviction, you were almost offended by it.
Yuuji lays on the bed, his side touching the small of your back, “When will my suffering end, I slave away putting heavy boxes in your car, only for you to stab me in the back like this.” Yuuji grabs the back of your shirt, “You would never do this to me, right?” He sniffles, his hands crawling to hold your torso in a hug. “You would always have my back, right?!”
You snicker, one of your hands moving to cup both of his. You give him a somber look, shaking your head, “No. I would never do this to you, Yuuji.” You hold his hands tighter, “Absolutely never.” You whisper.
Yuuji blinks a few times, letting his head fall on the bed with a soft thud. “The light?... I–I see the light, I don’t want to–I don’t want to go.”
You stifle a laugh, turning your body to face him, “No! Don’t leave me!” You throw yourself over Yuuji, “I can’t do this without you!” You have no clue what “this,” even is. “I can’t lose you, too!” You’ve never lost anyone before, well.. that’s if you don’t count the plushly you lost at the mall one time.
Yuuji falls slack against the bed, sticking his tongue out and mumbling, the most realistic death sound of, “Bleh!” You finally burst out in laughter, pulling away from Yuuji to clutch onto your stomach.
Yuuji quickly props his head up on his hand, “Anyway, I’ve been dying. When are we going out to eat, Nobara?” He passes Nobara a careless smile, as if he hadn’t put on the most cringeworthy act with you as his co-actor.
Nobara gives him an indescribable look, one that borderlines anger and disbelief.
Megumi blinks a few times, “Well, at least they get along just fine.” He gives the two of you a small applause. Which the two of you deeply appreciate.
Nobara blinks alongside him, whispering, “I don’t think I’ve ever seen her talk this much when she’s with me.” She doesn’t know to be offended, or weirdly proud that you’re finally talking to people. Albeit, she would’ve preferred if you became more social outside the comfort of your bedroom, but hey, baby steps.
You turn over your shoulder, peering at Yuuji again. “I can order some pizza, and when me and Nobara go to my new apartment, you can pick it up and bring it over.” You grab a piece of your hair from his back, you’re guessing it came off when he carried you.
Yuuji blinks at you with a bit of sparkle in his eyes, “I think you’re my new favorite person.”
“Are we friends now?”
“Best friends.” Yuuji clarifies with full seriousness.
You loudly laugh, slapping your hand over your mouth as you turn away from Yuuji. “Oh my god, he’s so fun.” You let yourself fall on his back, laying down while looking at the ceiling.
You feel your body collapse for a moment, the aching and stress from the day crashing down on you. Sure, there’s a human below you, but you could be on a bed of pins and still find some form of relief by laying down.
Like Megumi said earlier; It’s three, everyone is taking a nap right now. That should be you right now, sleeping on your uncomfortable-comfortable college assigned bed alongside your collection of stuffed animals you won from an arcade, and the dozens of blankets you bought from Target with the mindset of: One more couldn’t hurt.
“If you want, I can move?” Yuuji asks.
“No.” You tap his back a few times, as if you were a Dad patting a massive dog. “I’m already comfy. I wanna’ take a nap.” You sigh, closing your eyes for a moment, and in the moment it feels like heaven. You really need a nap.
Yuuji nods with conviction, “Okay, I won’t move.” He quite literally freezes, you’re sure he’s not even breathing from how still he is.
Your sentence breaks in cracks of laughter as you say, “You can breathe, babe.”
Yuuji clearly lets out a long sigh. You laugh again.
You want to lay like this forever, but you have an apartment waiting for your arrival. Besides, you’re going to feel even better when you’re laying down in your new bed in your new room. Suddenly, you’re bubbling with energy.
You collect yourself before pushing yourself off the bed, reaching for your bag, “Here, I’ll go check I have everything in your car and order the pizza.” You turn to Yuuji, “I can tell you when to pick up.”
Yuuji nods, giving you a thumbs up.
Nobara follows after you, grabbing her keys. Yet, before she leaves the room, she points at both of the boys and says, “Be good.” Then, shuts the door behind her with a smile. “Now, let’s hope to come back to a room with two living men.”
You tilt your head to the side, “Have they tried to kill each other before…?”
Nobara looks to the side thinking, “They have. A good handful of times, actually.” She laughs, thinking about the two boy’s bickering at times, “Yuuji can be something else, and Megumi needs his time alone to function. Sometimes, it’s like trying to make peace between a dog and a cat.”
“Impossible?” You ask with a smile.
“Exactly.”
You give a humorous laugh, “Is Yuuji the dog?”
“A big dog.”
You laugh again, but your conversation with Maki pops into your head again. This time, you voice your thoughts, “I like Yuuji, he’s fun. Cute, too.” Nobara shivers, as if the thought of Yuuji being cute physically revolted her. “But, Maki said she doesn’t like him.”
Nobara thinks for a moment, “Maki’s the junior in our class right?” You nod in confirmation, Nobara stays silent for a moment, still thinking. “Weird. I didn’t know she knew Yuuji. To be honest, I thought she was the type of person to hate underclassmen.”
You can’t disagree with her, “Huh. She really does give that vibe?”
“We all have our personal vendettas.” Nobara shrugs, looking at the sky. It’s starting to get dark, the sky blending into hot colors. “I know Megumi doesn’t like Yuuji, but he won’t say that out loud, so who knows?”
“That can’t be true.” You shake your head, “They look like they get along.”
“They should, or that means freshman year had to be hell for them…” Nobara presses her lips together, “Now that I think about it, I don’t even know if he likes me…” She shrugs again, a cheeky smile building on her lips “But everyone loves me, so I doubt that.”
“Of course, who wouldn’t love you.” You internally roll your eyes, “No, but seriously. Yuuji seems kind of cool. I just don’t understand why she would say that.” You smile to yourself, “He’s strong, has nice hair, is nice to look at, and he’s really nice. I just don’t understand why she would call him an asshole.”
“Woah, ew. Don’t say that about my brother, that makes me want to barf.” Nobara pretends to gag, grabbing onto her stomach.
Your eyes widen in surprise, “You guys are related?!”
“No.” She snickers to herself.
When the two of you reach the parking lot, she reaches for her keys and unlocks her car from the short distance. Popping open the trunk with her keys, and the only thing you can see is the organized boxes filling her car to the brim.
You quickly check over all the boxes. Eyeing over everything packed, just to make sure you weren’t leaving anything behind. “Damn, you were right about Fusiguro, these boxes are packed.” A part of you wants to pay him, but you by no means have the money. You almost didn’t have the money to pay for the boxes.
You sit on the ledge of the trunk, picking your phone from your bag. “I swear, I’m going to get the greasiest, cheesiest, diabeaty causing pizza ever for you guys.” You turn on your phone and immediately notice the text message and missed call from your new roommate.
Nobara cups her face, batting her eyelashes dramatically. “Awh! Babe, you didn’t have to, that’s so romantic.” She wiggles her shoulders like a love-sick teenager.
You unlock your phone, checking the message. “You know I take care of my babygir—“ You blink a few times, your words dying. A horrible pit in your stomach twisting and turning uncontrollably, practically eating you alive. Your heart is dropping uncomfortably.
Nobara notices your sudden mood change, and is quick to voice on it. “Hey, are you okay?” She looks at your hands, trying to see what could upset you. “If you want I can buy the pizza?…”
You quickly turn off your phone, placing it face down on your lap and letting out a long sigh. You silent for a moment, your hands cupping your face as you whisper, “Shit.” You feel like crying, but you also feel like screaming in rage.
“Wait, what happened?”
“My—“ You groan, clearly annoyed, “Fuck, my roommate just said the room isn’t mine anymore.” You lean back on the boxes, resting your weight on it. You’re trying to form the words, but there’s so much going on in your head you don’t think you’re making sense. “She said I can’t come anymore.”
Nobara furrows your eyebrows, “Wait, what?” She tilts her head to the sides, “What do you mean you can come anymore?”
For some reason, her question pisses you off, and you grab your phone. “Here.” Your voice is stern, clearly annoyed, “Read.” You flip the screen to her, showing the long paragraph you received from your roomma– ex-roommate.
Nobara eyes skim over the screen, quickly trying to take in all the information before looking at you with an empathetic face. “Oh my–is this even allowed? Don’t you have to sign a contract to move in with them?” She sits down next to you, “I’m pretty sure it’s illegal to break the binding if you already signed the papers.”
You feel a bit stupid about your answers, and for some odd reason that pisses you off. “I–” You sigh, leaning your head back on the boxes. “I didn’t sign anything just yet, she just said I could move in today, and we’ll fill out the papers when I’m there.”
Nobara blinks a few times, “Oh.” Is all she says. She doesn’t know exactly what to tell you, but she knows enough not to tell you how wrong you are. You’re clearly upset as it is, and she doesn’t want to add fuel to that fire. You’re already stressed as it is, so she says, “Uhm, do you want me to help you unpack?...”
You shake your head, “No.” You can’t unpack, Nobara is quite literally having a new roommate move in within this week. “Okay, no, it’s fine. I’ll figure this out.” You have a small idea of what you can do in the meantime.
“Figure this out?” Nobara gives you a look, her lips pressed together in a thin line. “Babe, that’s something you say when you realize you have a test next class, not when you don’t have a place to stay.”
You sigh deeply, “I know.” Still, you’re trying to figure out what you can do in this situation. Your parents are out of the picture, not literally, they’re just too far, and you can’t stay with Nobara. You can try and move into a hotel, and pray your parents are willing to send you a bit more cash while you desperately try to find a new place to live.
You nod to yourself, coming to a decision. “Okay, I think I’m just going to stay at a hotel in the meantime.” You open the safari app, and quickly search for hotels in your area.
Nobara pulls you to your feet, shutting the trunk closed and locking her car again. “Okay, well my new roommate doesn’t come until Wednesday, so you're free to stay the night until she comes. Technically it’s still your room.” She grabs your bag, tugging you along with her as you desperately search for a place to stay.
“The pizza says it’s going to be ready at five.” You think that’s a suspiciously long time for a pizza to get ready, but don’t question it too much. It just gives you more time to find a place to stay. “You can pick it up and bring it here if you want, Yuuji.”
Yuuji blinks at you, “Are we no longer allowed at your apartment?” He sounds hurt in a way, but you’re a bit too embarrassed to tell him the truth of the situation.
You thickly swallow, “Uh, well…”
“Roommate kicked her off the lease.” Nobara says without batting an eye, “I told her to contact a lawyer, but we all know we’re too broke for that. Unless someone wants to pitch in some money.” She looks at you and passes a discreet wink.
You deeply appreciate her and her ability to read your thoughts.
Megumi shakes his head, “I can call my Da–” He pauses, clearing his throat, “I can call Gojo and ask for some money.” He looks away, averting his attention at a wall. It could be the bad lighting, but it looks as if his ears are red.
You have to reign in what Megumi just said, but you aren’t given the time when Nobara jumps into the conversation. “No. She doesn’t like Gojo, can’t imagine how she’d feel if she borrowed money from him.”
Megumi looks at you, his eyes narrowing slightly. “You don’t like Gojo?”
“Uh…” You give him an awkward smile, scratching your cheek lightly. “Not really…?”
Megumi nods, his lips pulling into a subtle upside down smile. It looks almost approving, “Me neither.” You didn't know you could end up liking someone with just a simple phrase, but here we are.
Yuuji pulls on your sleeve, drawing your attention back to him. “So, what are you going to do?” He looks at you with puppy eyes, as if he were in the same boat as you.
You pass him a somber smile. “I don’t know, I think I’m just going to crash at some random hotel in the meantime.” You shrug, trying to brush off the topic, but the pit in your stomach doesn’t go away. “Hope for the best, you know?”
Yuuji practically lights up at that news, he quickly grabs your hands and tugs you into him. “Wait! Does that mean you’re homeless now?!” He seems excited about that, and you wonder if Maki was right about him being an asshole.
You awkwardly laugh, your smiling faltering, “Uhm, yeah?…” You blink a few times, looking at your hands, then looking back at his face. You quickly pass Megumi and Nobara a worried face, as if you’re trying to say, please help me.
“Do you want to live with me?!”
No.
Your lips part, a small noise escaping your throat, but no real words really leaving. Yuuji is pretty fun to be around, but you don’t think moving in with someone you just met is a good idea. Besides, what if the hotel is a better option than the random house he’s offering you to live in. You don’t know how tidy… or dirty his house is, and you can’t just go to his house, scope out the area and be like, ‘Actually, I think I’m going to pass.’
It’s rude and puts you in a really awkward situation, a situation you really don’t want to put yourself in. Then again, you really don’t have the money to stay in a hotel, anything you could possibly have in your bank account will be drained, quickly.
You don’t have the money, or the mindset to drain your bank account. In fact, if the number ‘ZERO’ hits your bank account, your life would’ve been long done awhile ago. There’s no way you’re living to see your personal downfall.
You press your lips together in thought, “Uh?..” You look at Nobara, and she doesn’t seem to know what to say either. “Are you okay with that?—How much are you going to be charging me?” You have to ask the real question, then you can worry about being a good person and asking about Yuuji’s feelings.
“Hm?” He blinks a few times, then quickly looks at Megumi, “I didn’t charge my ex when she lived with me. How much do you normally charge your roommates?” It seems like a genuine question, and Maki barks at the back of your head, ‘I told you!’
You softly pull your hands away from Yuuji, blinking at him in confusion. “Wait, do you not pay for your apartment?” You tilt your head at him, blinking in confusion.
“I don’t.” He places his hand on the back of his head, looking at Megumi with something you can’t quite decipher. “My–” He pauses, making a face at Megumi, “My roommate does.” His eyes perk at that, almost as if it were a revelation. “That’s right, I have a roommate.”
“So, I’ll be living with two guys?” Your eyes bounce back from Yuuji and Megumi, you can’t say excitement is what you’re feeling right now. No, it’s more desperation and dejection.
“Mhm!” He pulls you close to his side, and you’re now starting to realize how touchy Yuuji is, but you don’t really mind. “It won’t be that bad, you’ll have your own room and there’s a kitchen.” He looks around the small dorm, “Which I think is already much better than the dorms…”
You don’t… know. “I don’t know. I don’t want to bother you, and I don’t know if I’m going to have enough money..”
Yuuji shakes his head, “You can just stay for a month or two, just until you can find your own place.” He places his head on your shoulder, giving you some of the biggest puppy dog eyes you’ve ever seen. “And I won’t even charge you.”
“Deal.” Not even a second thought.
A smile splits your face, excitement blooming in your chest. A free place to live, your own room, and a kitchen? Maybe you could be in danger by living with two men you just met today, but it’s only for a month or two. Free housing is free housing.
Yuuji jumps up, clearly happy by the thought of living with you. “Hooray! Let’s go!” Yuuji grabs your hand again, pulling you harshly behind him. “I’ll help you unpack and everything.”
You feel a small blush dust your cheeks, definitely a big puppy. It’s really cute.
Yuuji’s house is so nice.
Your eyes are sparkling at the sight, the living room, the kitchen, your bathroom, and your bedroom. Everything is decorated so nicely and smells like heaven, as if someone has just cleaned the room.
You turn to Yuuji, hands holding each other, “Oh my gosh, your place is amazing! This is so nice!” You move to the couch, sitting down on it, practically melting into the seats. “This is heaven Yuuji, absolute heaven.”
Yuuji wobbles over to you, flopping over your thighs and stretching over the couch. He’s a bit sweaty from moving all your boxes to your room, and clearly exhausted, but you don’t at all mind. You still move your hands to his head and run your fingers through his pink tufts.
“You did such a good job, Yuuji!” You practically beaming in your seat, smiling with a bit too much enthusiasm. ”You installed that lock on my door too, right?” You push his hair out of his face when he twists his head to try and look at you.
Yuuji nods tiredly, moaning out an exhausted, “Mhm.”
“Awh! Thank you so much, that means so much to me!” You look to the side, watching as Nobara appears from the hall and passes you a thumbs up. A small confirmation of Yuuji’s words. “If you want, you can go grab the pizza now, I’m pretty sure it’ll be ready by now.”
Yuuji springs out of your lap, energy regained at the thought of food. “Pizza!” He is quick to grab Nobara, pulling her out the door and singing, “Pizza, pizza, pizza, chow-down!” You think it’s adorable.
Megumi walks out of the hall, looking at Yuuji, then looking back at you. He’s silent for a moment, before softly asking, “Do you want me to stay?”
You’re a bit shocked by his question, “Uhm..?” To be completely honest with yourself, it would be nice to have the house to yourself for a moment. That way you can try and get a hold of the layout without the judging eyes of your new friends. You’ve also been dying to take a shower in a room without anyone else showering. So, you shake your head politely, “No thank you, it’s okay. I need a moment to myself.”
Megumi furrows his eyebrows ever so slightly, tilting his head, “Are you sure?” He looks at the hallway, then back to you, “I can stay, it won’t bother me.” He shrugs, but his voice has a hint of care to it, as if he’s trying to put his words in the most friendly way possible.
You shake your head again, “It’s okay, I’m just going to shower.” Your eyes light up for a moment, “Wait, actually, I have a question.” You push yourself off the couch, moving to stand at the entrance of the hallway. Megumi moves after you. “Which room is which.”
Megumi points at the closet door on the right, “That’s your restroom.” He points at the door at the end of the hallway to the left, “Across from your restroom is your room.” He looks back at you, nodding to see if you understood the information.
You flash him a smile and nod back, “Perfect, thanks for showing me.”
Megumi nods, turning on his heel and waving you off. Nobara at the door frame, waiting for him to catch up. She cups her mouth, “We’ll be back in a few, get unpacked in the meantime.” She blows you a kiss and closes the door behind her.
You roll your eyes and move to your room, pushing open the door and really observing the place. If you can recall correctly, this room once belonged to Yuuji’s ex-girlfriend, which is a bit obvious. There’s a hint of a feminine touch to the furniture and leftover decorations. The window is one of the biggest indicators to such, the curtains being a bit flowy and soft.
The bed is another big indicator. The mattress has been stripped of anything that seems comforting, but the bed frame holds some form of cute touch. It’s white with silver jewels bedding into the leather, creating a patterned ridge.
The floor is bare, but you don’t mind, you made sure to tell Nobara to pack your pink fluffy rug. However, it has small specks of nail polish. The drawers match the bed quite well, all being white. The desk–or vanity–is something you don’t understand why it would be left behind. It’s gorgeous. There’s even a mirror strapped to the wall a bit above it, a button in the bottom middle to turn on its LED lights.
You nod to yourself, not bad.
Sometimes, life is all about risk, and you clearly struck gold with this leap of faith. A cute room, a nice house, and you don’t have to pay rent yet? Could life get any better?
You squeal to yourself, moving to your boxes and opening the one with your skin care products, hair cleaning products, face cleaning products, shaving products… Honestly, everything you couldn’t use back in the dorms. You’re about to finally care for your skin, mind, and body.
You're quick to grab your sleeping garments, but find it a bit hard to hold everything so you grab your towel and throw all your things inside, then grab the corners and pull them up. Making a make-shift sack and throwing it over your shoulder.
Life can indeed, get better.
Especially when you can take a shower alone.
You’re giddy making your way to the bathroom, opening the door and closing it behind you. You’re picking your favorite at home, or headphone only playlist, and blasting it on speaker. Picking out from the many girly shampoo scents and propping them in the shower as you swing your hips to the beat of the music.
You catch a glimpse of the shampoos already in the shower. They’re a bit… They look exotic to put it simply. A brand you’ve never seen before, in fact, the amount of body care looks a bit larger than your own. You feel a bit embarrassed placing your Bath and Body Works body scrub, but they smell so good.
Even now, your sore bare body underneath the steaming hot water, you’re no longer embarrassed. Your tense muscles relax underneath the jets of the water. Just enjoying your sweet sweet life living in a real house and not a small dorm. You raise your face to the water, rubbing out your face wash, “Fuck, I needed this.”
You flinch when the sound of louder music plays over your own, your eyes snap to the door. You push your hair out of your face and softly sigh. Looks like your friends are back already, and as much as you want to stay in the warm shower, you’re really hungry.
You turn off the water and reach for your pink towel, wrapping it around your body and placing the rest of your face care products on the counter of the sink. It’s a bit of a shame, music you’re unfamiliar with drowning out your favorite–private–playlist.
You eye the room again, only to furrow your eyebrows. Wait… You feel a bit of dread enter your body, looking around the room with a bit more conviction.
Oh no, oh no no no no no…
Where are your clothes?! You could’ve sworn you put them in your makeshift sack with everything else–wait, you internally groan, no you didn’t. You placed everything back on your bed and forgot to put it back in your towel. Whatever, it’s fine you’ll just quickly run to your room and grab some clothes, then join your friends for food.
You grab your phone and reach for the door, peeling it open and peaking your head out. But, you are a bit disappointed at the lack of pizza filling the air, and laughter. The only thing getting louder is the music.
“Hm.” You blink a few times and stand on the tips of your toes, the cold floor sending an uncomfortable shiver down your spine as you step onto cold tiles. Megumi’s words echo in your head, ‘The room across the restroom.’ So, as you walk forward and put your hand on the dorm knob, you feel a bit of panic resonate with you as it doesn't open.
“Shit, did I lock it?” You cringe at yourself. Oh my god, that’s a horrible way to start off living with Yuuji. Getting locked out of your room, naked. For some reason, that thought makes you shake the door knob with more desperation.
You tug your hand back when the door knob… jiggles back! Have the door knobs evolved?!
You flinch when the lights of the room flashes on you, the door slamming open.
Your eyes widen, your jaw dropping subtly.
The tall man looks you up and down, his forearm pressing against the frame of the door. His face is one that can only be described as disgust and disdain. In fact, he’s so fucking tall, he is quite literally looking down at you.
You feel so small.
And, he’s completely shirtless, yet his arms are decorated in a tattoo that seems to stretch from his arms to his torso, chest, then to his face. The only thing giving him some form of modesty being the gray sweatpants that hang dangerously low on his hips. You can see his v-line and the veins that lead to his…
You snap your eyes back to his face, feeling your burn up, when your eyebrows furrow. The interesting color of his hair is pulling your attention.
Wait a minute…
You narrow your eyes, taking a step back in shock. Another puddle of water pulling to the ground with each step, the bangs that frame your face sprinkling your shoulders with water droplets.
No way, no way.
An unsure noise leaves your throat, a mix between a whimper and soft cry. “Uh… Y-Yuuji…?” You tighten your hand around your towel, and that realization hits you like a fucking bus. You’re naked. You’re wearing nothing but a towel in front of Yuuji, and he looks absolutely disgusted by you.
But…You know it’s not Yuuji, it can’t be. Yuuji is a massive puppy, expressive and vibrant, naturally pulling everyone into his circle. He would never even think to look at someone the way this man is looking at you. He's touchy and a bit oblivious, but that’s part of his charm! The Yuuji in front of you is…?
His hair is a bit different, less saturated and messy. His dark natural roots peeking out from his undercut, and he looks… older. In fact, he even looks older than you. His tattoos stretch from his neck, to his face, sharp and crisp lines.
His eyebrows are pulled together in a glare, a nasty glare, a small wrinkle forming at the side of his nose in disgust. His head is ever so slightly tilted to the side.
Your eyebrows twitch together, and you find the situation ironic. In fact, you almost want to laugh. Out of all the nice things God had given you today, he wanted to sprinkle in one more surprise.
This man looks like a…
The man takes a step forward, the music in his room blasting even louder. He was close, way too close. If he wasn’t scary before, now that you have to crane your neck back to look at him, he’s terrifying. He narrows his red eyes at you, letting out a harsh, “What the fuck do you want.” His voice is raspy and deep, clouding anyone he would talk to.
You blink at his language and rudeness, shocked by his attitude. You part of your lips, they feel a bit glossy from the water, but…a scoffing laugh leaves your lips.
He looks like an asshole. He’s an asshole. You cover your mouth with your hand, and turn away. A hot asshole. The hot asshole from earlier today. It really is a small world. However, your humor to the events is short lived. You’re quickly reminded of what situation you're in, naked in front of a hot asshole.
The furrow in his eyebrows deepens.
“You look like Yuuji.” It’s a silent whisper, one that receives no reaction to the stranger in front of you. He doesn’t even take a step away from you, he’s still too close for your comfort.
Oh my god. There are two Yuuji’s. Then, light a light bulb, another realization hits you. Oh my god, I’m going to be living with two Yuuji’s. But, you quickly pulled out of your thoughts by another sound.
“Who’s there?” A voice perks from the music, it sounds feminine, and a bit too scratchy for your liking. In a way, it sounds hoarse, or strained. “Is it your brother, I’ve always wanted to meet your brother!” She squeals excitedly, “Let me see him, please!”
Brother? You mimic your thoughts with words, “B-Brother?” You dumbly ask, desperately trying to connect the dots in your head. Wait, you thought Megumi was the one who lived with Yuuji, that’s why the two of them made eye contact back at your old dorm.
Did you completely misread the situation? You cup your mouth in shock. Megumi isn’t Yuuji’s roommate, his older brother is. The hot older brother who happens to be the asshole from earlier, and now.
Oh my god. I’m so stupid.
A blonde woman comes barreling from within the room to the door frame, she’s wearing nothing but a black shirt too big for her. The moment she lays her eyes on your bare frame, her smile twists into something deeply uncomfortable.
You swear, you can hear the water droplets from your hair hitting the ground from how quiet the three of you are. This is such an unforgettable situation. You pull your hand away from your mouth, passing the women a small smile and a wave.
She doesn’t wave back. She looks at the man, but he’s not looking at her, his eyes are trained on you. Caught by the way your chest is glistening from the light of his room and the water from the shower, your neck bare and fresh. How your shoulder rises and falls with each soft breath you take, your hair sticking to your face and shoulders. He can smell the sweet scent of your body wash from here. It smells nice.
You smell nice.
Your eyes are something else, though. They’re practically sparkling from the little light emulated from his room, catching every reflection and giving them life. They’re wide and full of shock, you’re most likely trying to process who he is. That idiot Yuuji most likely didn’t even tell you he had a brother.
You thickly swallow, your throat bobbing ever so slightly.
He smirks to himself. You’re not too bad looking.
“Who is she?” The blonde asks with a bit of force, trying to pull his attention away from you. However, despite her question, and her hands moving to grab his arm, he still isn’t looking at her, he’s quiet, way too quiet for your liking.
He finally shrugs, discreetly pulling his arm away from her hold. “Don’t know. Who cares.” He finally pulls away from your frame, looking at the woman, “Probably one of my brother’s annoyin’ ass friends.”
She tilts her head to the side, “Oh.” She lets out a small laugh, but it seems more mocking than anything. “Thank god, I thought it was one of your crazy exes trying to get back with you.” She glares at you, “Such a pathetic attempt to use, too.”
He takes one final look at you, “Yeah.” He looks at the girl, pushing her to the side as he walks back into his room. “Just like you.” He scoffs to himself, turning over his shoulder and whispering at her, “Crazy bitch.”
She pouts, turning on her heel so her blonde said flips behind her, “Awh! Don’t say that Suki! You know you love me.” She passes you a final satiated glance, “Here, let me make it up to you. Tell me about your tattoos or something!”
Sukuna’s quick to respond with a pinched expression, “Shut the fuck up. Stop acting like you're my girlfriend.” Then, she slams the door on your face, and you flinch from the intrusion.
You cringe a bit, not at all liking how addressed a girl as a ‘bitch.’ If something could make you turn your head in disgust in less then a second, it’s called a girl a bitch. Except when you do it.
You glare at the door, “Bitch.” You think back to the man she addressed as Suki and add, “Asshole.” You look at the door to the right, and make your way there, twisting it and sighing in relief when it opens.
You laugh at yourself, “Thank god..” The first thing you do isn’t change, but open one of your boxes and grab your stationary. Placing them on the vanity. You're quick to grab a quickly sticky note, scribble your name on it, and slam it on the outside of your door.
No more accidents, and no more random hot, older brother, asshole man.

Nobara is peacefully sleeping on the couch, bundling herself in more blankets than one person needs. Her chest slowly rises and falls in a rhythmic order, you can even hear her softly snoring. The day had been draining, not only for you, but also for her, so you weren’t going to pester her to stay up and watch the crappy horror movie Yuuji picked out.
Megumi is sitting across from her on his phone. His long lashes flutter with each gentle blink he takes. He, unlike everyone in the room, seems a bit more tense. Narrowing his eyes when something unfavorable happens on screen–like a jumpscare–then quickly follows it by doing whatever on his phone.
You have a sneaking suspicion that he’s actually really scared of the movie playing, but that’s just a hunch.
You’re sitting next to Yuuji on the floor, actually–no, Yuuji is laying on you. While you run your hands through his pink tufts, your body is watching the movie playing, but your mind is somewhere else. Not somewhere else, on someone else.
Yuuji opens his mouth, softly humming, “Ah.”
You reach over his head, grabbing his pizza slice and lowering it to his mouth, allowing him to take a bite. He does, and you return it to the plate on the coffee table. Grabbing your drink and taking a sip.
“You have a brother?”
Your question is so quiet, it doesn’t even disturb the peace. The movie is still playing, Nobara is still sleeping, Megumi is still on his phone, and Yuuji is still laying on your lap. He looks away from the screen, his eyes boring into the bottom of your cup.
“Yeah.” Yuuji gives you a halfhearted smile, he’s clearly uncomfortable by the topic. “He’s my older brother, I think he’s graduating next year.” He looks at the TV, then back at you, you notice how he’s holding his breath. “Did he…? Did he say something to you?” The question seems unsure.
You shake your head, “I saw him leave his room when I finished showering.” You pass him a comforting laugh, hand running through his hair. “I thought he was you for a second, until I looked a bit closer.” You wish that was the end of it.
Yuuji lets out a breath, nodding his head. “Good. He can be…” He sighs, looking back at the TV, “You know what, forget about it. He just sucks, so stay out of his way.” He pulls himself up, “Just stay with me, and you’ll be fine.”
You think for a moment, wondering if you should ask Yuuji the question bubbling in your head, but ultimately decide to force it out. “Do you… not like your brother?” You ask him, sneaking a blanket from Nobara and wrapping it around your shoulders. Your hair is still a bit damp, wetting the blanket.
Yuuji rolls his eyes, but it’s playful. “Does anyone like their siblings?” He leans on the couch, propping his arm up and using his hand to hold his head. “We’re just like everyone else, just a bit more… bleh.” Yuuji sticks out his tongue, and you softly laugh.
“Gross.” You mutter, wrinkling your nose. “But, I get that. I think you’re the nicer one.” You look to the side, thinking for a moment, “Actually, wait, I think you look the nicest.”
Yuuji laughs, “Thanks.”
You look at Megumi, “I thought he was your roommate.” You press your lips together, “I thought I was going to be living with you two. I didn’t think it was going to be you… you know.”
“Oh shit, I’m so sorry?” Yuuji slaps his hand over his mouth, “I totally forgot too—shit, I thought you knew…” He thinks for a moment, remembering how the two of you quite literally met today. “I—I don't know… how though. Shit, that’s so shitty of me.”
You shake your head, “No, no. It’s okay, I should’ve asked more questions, as a roommate and as a girl. This was kinda’ my own doing for assuming things.” You laugh to yourself, “I also got swept up in the whole free housing thing.”
Yuuji laughs with you, “I would, too. That's why I agreed to move in with my brother, actually.” He rolls his eyes, “A free place to stay, is a free place to stay. Even if I have to deal with an asshole.”
“I got that vibe from him.” You reach over to his shirt, fixing his collar to fix his neck more comfortably. “But I can’t say that to his brother.”
Yuuji silently thanks you, before shaking his head. “Nah, don’t worry about it. I could care less what you say about him. To be honest, I don’t even talk to him anymore.” He shrugs, “My room is too far away from his to really hear if he’s doing anything, too.” He laughs, “He could secretly be a murder, and I wouldn’t know.”
You giggle, your hands moving to rest on his shoulder. You take this time to lean forward and softly kiss his head, “Thank you for letting me crash with you for a while, I really didn’t want to stay at a shady hotel.” You smile at him when pulling back, “Totally saved my ass.”
Yuuji shakes his head, waving you off. “Stop. Don't even start. I’d do anything for my new best friend.” He loudly yawns, rubbing his eyes with the back of his hands. “But, I’m getting tired, I think I’m going to crash.” He pushes himself off the floor, searching for the remote and turning off the TV.
Nobara is quick to get up, one of her eyes still shut as she awkwardly says, “H-Huh, what?...” She frantically looks around, “I’ve been up.” She is quick to crash down into the pillow again, gaining a small laugh from everyone in the room.
Megumi shakes his head, pushing himself off the couch. “I’ll take her home.” He glances at you, “Go to bed, I know you still have to set your bed up.”
Sure, you’ve spoken to Yuuji the most this entire day, and spoken to Megumi the least, but he is genuinely your favorite out of the bunch. You pass him a quick smile, but it’s strained and full of exhaustion. “Thanks.”
Megumi just nods over his shoulder, searching for Nobara’s keys. Then, pauses, looking back at you, “Also, just a word for advice, Itadori’s brother…” He starts, “His ex would always complain about him… being really anxious at night, so just wear some headphones or… go to sleep early.”
You giggle, “I’m sure I can handle a bit of music at night.” You point at Nobara, “She used to play the weirdest shit late at night.”
“Yeah, but I don’t think…” Megumi stops himself, “I’m sure you’re going to be fine.” But, his tone, the unsure expression he’s passing you, you can’t help but think…
Obnoxious how?
—-
Honestly, the day could’ve been better. Way better, but it could’ve been worse, way worse. Still, you appreciate how the day has ended. Your sheets laid out and covering the mattress, your blankets and stuffies decorating your bed to make you more comfortable in your new surroundings.
You’ve taken some time to put mostly everything in its respective place. Like the fluffy carpet, and small coffee table in the middle of the room, since you prefer to do your homework sitting on the ground. And the pictures and posters you have of friends, family, shows, and celebrities.
The room was starting to slowly look more like home.
You blink a few times, pressing your glasses to the bridge of your nose—something you don’t wear outside the comfort of your room—and focus on the small text in the booklet Gojo had given you.
You can confidently say you understand what the project is asking of you, but there’s so much to do, and so little time to do it, you don’t even know where to start. You feel overwhelmed. Not only that, but finals are creeping up way too fast for your liking.
“This is a problem for tomorrow, or… today? Whatever. It’s too late.” You whisper to yourself, shutting the booklet and leaning back on the palms of your hands. Looking at the ceiling with a blank expression. You’re tired–exhausted, it’s past twelve and starting to hit the single digits of the AM.
You still have to catch up on all your other missing assignments due to your sudden leave. You close your eyes, pushing yourself off the ground and stretching. There only seems to be one solution to your problems.
You reach for your computer, propping it onto your table and pulling up the show BoJack Horseman, clicking onto the first episode while scrambling around for your backpack.
Time to pull an all-nighter.
You can still hear the music from Yuuji’s brother's room, it’s a bit quieter, but you still add a bit of volume to your computer, trying to drown out the noise. And, it’s nice for the first hour, maybe even the first hour and a half, your writing progressively getting more fit with each assignment you finish. Your eyes are feeling heavier, and BoJack’s life choices are getting dumber.
You feel like you can fall asleep sitting up, but you jump at a small bump. Your ears perk up to the sound of… something you can’t quite put your finger on. Actually, the best way you can describe it, is if it were late at night and you stubbed your toe, yet you were desperately trying to stay quiet.
Hm. In your mind, that seems pretty spot on, yet… you’ve heard this particular nose before. It sounds familiar, really familiar. Maybe from a late-night movie, or a sound from a—
“Ah! O-Oh my god, p-please—please.” A pleasurable cry.
It’s silent again, the sound of BoJack Horseman death to your ears.
A shiver shoots up your spine, forcing your body to shoot itself up. Your eyes widening while your face begins to burn with embarrassment. A small whimper leaves your throat, another shiver shooting down your body, it feels electrifying. It feels dirty.
There’s no fucking way. This can’t be happening, this isn’t real. Today isn’t real. You feel your face flush, ever so slightly turning your head over your shoulder to look at the wall behind you. “It’s probably just a movie..” You tell yourself. “They’re watching a weird movie.”
A gruff voice barks back, “Move your fuckin’ hand and take it.” She cries again, but it’s a bit more muffled compared to her last cry. “Or I’ll move it.” He sounds a bit pained, almost gritted when said, before a small mocking–yet, approving–laugh follows. “Yeah, you can take this dick, can’t you?”
This time, something deep within your blooms in your stomach. A fluttery, almost tingly sensation building deep in you. You feel your finger twitch, blinking at the wall, your freshly decorated bed catching your attention.
Of course your bed is pressed right against his wall, and of course the walls are paper thin.
Your ears perk again at the sound of a forced squeal, a scream of, “K-Kuna’.. W-wait, it feels..” But, her sentence is cut off by another moan, this time more deep and tired. What follows, makes your hips twitch.
“Fucking amazin’? I know.” He groans under his breath, a cocky laugh leaving his mouth, “C’mon, use that dumb cunt of yours to fuck yourself on my cock.” A small bump lands on your wall, much like the sound of a head falling back on it. “Yeah, fuck. Just like that.”
His words are filthy, and drive you a bit crazy. Your mind is clouding with ideas of… him. Kuna, Suki, that’s what she said, those are the two things she called him. Is that his name, Yuuji’s older brother? Are those her nicknames for him?
Kuna?
Suki?
You hate that, you want to scold yourself over fantasizing over a stranger. You’re not fantasizing, you’re just trying to piece together what could be happening on the other side of the wall. How he looks when flushed, half-lidded and body surging with pleasure as he fucks. The noises he’s producing when spending special attention on his sensitive tip. How filthy words leave his mouth with a cocky smile, no care in the world as he tries to embarrass you–
You gasp. No, you didn’t just think that. You didn’t think about Yuuji’s older brother, a stranger, a asshole, fucking you. That’s impossible, you’re not a fiend, you’re not a pervert, and you're not thinking about how hot he looked standing over you. Looking down at you with a scowl as you suck his cock.
Your throat bobs, your mouth salivating. The image of his veins, his happy trail, his v-line, leading down to the print in his sweatpants. You bite onto your bottom lip, lightly slightly sucking onto the skin until it’s a bit swollen.
You mush your thighs together, turning back to the table. Closing your eyes and trying not to think about… no, you’re just trying not to think altogether. Trying to ignore how your body is burning, your panties sticking to your throbbing pussy.
“Get off–” The sentence seems a bit more quiet than before, the whole sentence not translating well to your ears. You’re thankful for that, is what your head is screaming, but your body is desperately itching to hear every dirty word he says.
“Hands… knees.” His voice sounds strained, but still collected.
You flinch when something bangs against the wall. It’s thankfully not hitting your wall, but it sounds incredibly close. Wait, is that?... Is he…? Is that the headboard hitting the wall? The bed lurching forward with each of his harsh thrust.
This time, it’s far too clear for your mind to ignore her quiet sobbing, yet she mumbles small encouragement for Yuuji’s older brother to, “H-hit that.. s-spot.” Babbling profanities you weren’t previously aware of, to scream obnoxiously in your face about how good she feels.
Then, the banging stops. A more human bump hitting the wall, followed by, “That shit’s getting on my nerves.”
“Use a pillow, you don’t need to hold it–ah!”
This time, you don’t hear the headboard of his bed hitting the wall. You only hear the creaking of the mattress hissing uncomfortably under the weight of two people. You wonder what he did exactly to prevent the noise.
Press his hands above his head board onto the wall, then continue to fuck her senseless. Or, does he only have one hand pressed against the wall, only grabbing onto the top of the headboard and using it to add more strength behind each stroke. Sending the annoying girl deeper into her spiral of pleasure.
You feel your eyes water ever so slightly… and–you may be perverse, or a dirty girl. But, you don’t care, you really don’t fucking care. Especially not when your pussy is desperate for some harsh attention, a big mean man to fuck you senseless. To spread you open and toy with your sensitive and drooling cunt.
You… you wish that girl is you. You wish you are her. Crying over a cock that makes you feel so good, you don’t care if anyone is listening. You wouldn’t care if he was forcing you to take it to quick or hard, his hands grabbing your hips and forcing you to fuck his cock with your overstimulated pussy.
No, stop, I have shit to do. You don’t have the time to be stupid over boys. “Where are my headphones?” You need to do work, you need to have conviction and discipline. The moment you wake up tomorrow, remembering all the things you thought about the previous night, you’re going to jump off a cliff.
You just need some clarity, some sleep. That’s all it is, you’re exhausted, and the idea of… No, don’t even start. You softly sing the opening tune of BoJack Horseman to yourself. It may be stupid, but it keeps you concentrated on the task at hand.
You need to do homework, you are too far behind to get distracted. Even now, while desperately looking for your headphone–it’s in one of these boxes, it has to be–you’re ignoring the noises from the other room. Did you lose them? Did you really lose them the one time you actually need them?
Fine.
You’ll wake up early tomorrow, find your headphones, and finish your assignments. You scramble for your lights, flicking them off and diving into your bed. Your computer is still open, Netflix asking the annoying, ‘Are you still there?’ But, you’re not paying attention.
Your eyes are shut, a pillow wrapped around your head while you’re slowly growing more annoyed. It’s so obnoxious, vulgar, rude… You don’t even know how to describe the situation Yuuji’s older brother is putting you in.
It’s dick move.
Wouldn’t it be common courtesy to try and be quiet. It’s such an awkward situation for you, such a weird situation to be in. It’s infuriating. A part of you wants to loudly knock on the wall and scream at them, but the other part of you wants to give Yuuji’s older brother the benefit of the doubt.
He’s probably just unaware.
You’ll tell ‘Kuna–hopefully his name is ‘Kuna, you really don’t know–tomorrow when you run into him. Or, tell him to be a bit more reserved, or ashamed, of what he’s doing, and how hard it is to focus on work when people are obnoxiously fucking in the room right next to you.
Besides, you genuinely can’t stand the idea of dealing with that every single night while trying to do your work. It sounds like a pain, a hassle that will never let you sleep or study undisturbed. That’s too weird, that’s too annoying.
But, you know the real reason.
It’s why you’re desperately rubbing your thighs together. While trying to force yourself to sleep.

  “Babe, come here!”
Your boyfriend, Wooyoung, called you over while you were waiting for the popcorn to finish popping in the kitchen for your weekly movie night. He was in your shared bedroom, presumably picking out what he wanted to watch this time.
“Hold on!” You said back, there were only a few more seconds on the microwave until it beeped, he could wait a few more seconds. “Baby!”
“Hold on!” You repeated, the microwave beeping just then. You then took the bag out, took a large bowl, and poured the contents of the popcorn into said bowl. “What is it?”
You made your way down the hall, and you could hear his little giggles the closer you got. The room seemed completely dark, you couldn’t see the regular white lighting coming from the flatscreen in the bedroom.
“Woo?” you questioned, raising a brow. Entering the room, you noticed a little light on the bed but it was covered by something. “What is that?”
Adjusting your eyes to the darkness, you made out the shapes and curves. Blankets hanging from the headboard, and a giggling Wooyoung. “You made a fort?” you smiled a bit.
“You like it?” Wooyoung beamed, opening the makeshift entrance of the blanket fort. The dim light shined on one side of his face -  exposing his curious eyes, raised brows, and slightly agape mouth waiting for your answer.
Shuffling your way onto the bed and into the fort, you hum softly. “It’s nice, Woo, I like it.”
You set down the bowl of popcorn carefully, balancing it on the sheets as best you can since it's obviously not a flat surface. During that, you also adjust to lay on your stomach beside Wooyoung.
“What did you pick to watch?” you asked, resting your head on your hand, propped on your elbow.
Wooyoung took a handful of popcorn, not minding the salt that sprinkled down his fingers and the butter that rubbed uncomfortably against his palm. “I didn’t choose. I don’t wanna really watch anything tonight.” He said, shoving the popcorn into his mouth.
“Why not?” You creased your brows, tilting your head. “You’ve been looking forward to it this week.” You inquired, your tone was soft and a bit confused.
Wooyoung nodded, “I have better ideas,” he said, chewing. He leans over, taking a clear box, and placing it on top of his phone, making stars inside the fort. “This is better,” He sighs, adjusting to lay beside you on his back.
You looked up at the ceiling, holographic stars moving and changing colours. “Stars?” “Stars.” Wooyoung smiles softly, taking your hand in his free one. “This is nice... I just want to be close to you,” he mutters, rubbing his thumb over your knuckles.
He broke an equally soft smile from you with that, your heart skipping a beat. “You’re so cheesy.” You chuckle. “I can’t help it, I fantasize about this all the time… you being my wife…” Wooyoung trails off.
Your boyfriend leans closer to you, snaking his hand around your head and pulling you in closer, now also lying on his stomach. “Y/n…” he looked into your eyes, “please be my wife.”

Loki was absolutely seething. The Hunter X-5 - Brad, or whatever he wanted to be called, was not just uncooperative in answering their questions about General Dox’s plans - he was a complete asshole about it. And even though they knew he would be, it was still impressive just how quickly he managed to rattle all three of them and completely derail the interrogation.
It was enough to make Loki afraid that he was losing his touch, that his edges had softened too much. But after the catastrophic events he’d endured over the past few months, what else could he expect?
After leaving the interrogation room with Mobius and B-15, Loki had stormed away, his eyes blazing with fury and his fists clenching until his knuckles were white. He just needed a moment to calm himself down, to regain control of his emotions.
Truthfully, what he needed was a break, to relieve some tension and come back to his problems with a clear head. If only everything would just stop trying to implode for five minutes, he might be able to do that. But the weight of everything he needed to fix was slowly crushing him to death instead.
And that asshole thought it necessary to throw the death of Frigga in his face and call him a villain - all in the same breath. The audacity, the nerve of that man to speak to him like that - when genuinely, truthfully and in every sense of the word, Loki was only trying to fix, not harm.
Loki pushed himself further down the endless corridors of the TVA, and the anger radiating through his skin alerted the unassuming TVA employees to continue minding their own business as they slinked past him. Loki’s heavy footsteps echoed off the pristine floors and elegant walls, and he foolishly thought that maybe they’d take the hint and turn around to take a different path towards their destination. But just as soon as he would find himself alone in the hallway, another one would appear, and Loki’s rage would elevate just a little bit more.
Norns, was there nowhere to even think in this place?!
Soon, Loki found himself in another alcove with another elevator, that inevitably led to another floor with even more corridors and TVA employees who were just trying to do their jobs in the face of a Temporal Loom meltdown and total destruction. It wasn’t their fault; it was the only thing they knew how to do.
There had to be an exit around here somewhere - a courtyard, or a sidewalk, or something - any place Loki could go and not be reminded of all of this. But how long would it take him to find it?
Too long. And more likely than not, a new crisis would emerge before he could even reach it.
As he paced back and forth across the granite floor, Loki’s hands alternated between raking through his hair, clenching at his sides, and resting on his hips. His mind raced uncontrollably, and his chest heaved to keep enough oxygen mixing with the blood flowing through his veins. He was starting to feel trapped, doomed, cursed.
Loki took a deep breath to steady himself, and as he closed his eyes, his thoughts shifted to the beautiful woman he’d seen earlier that evening. Her stylish dress, pale amber and loosely cinched around her waist, had been far too enchanting to be wasted on a date to a silly movie premiere. She was much too good to be on Brad’s arm for the evening, and Loki wondered if he had even bothered to learn her name…
But ultimately, it didn’t matter. Loki didn’t have the time or the space to clear his head, and he certainly didn’t have the time to waste on thoughts of a woman he’d never see again. He was just going to have to carry on, to power through the stress and brain fog and dread, like he’d always done.
Resigning himself to return from where he came, Loki shoved his hands in the pockets of his pea coat and turned on his heels to head back to Mobius and B-15 and the interrogation of Brad. But he stopped as his fingers brushed against something, and his brow furrowed as he pulled the TemPad out of his pocket.
Loki couldn’t remember how or when it got there. He turned it over in his hands carefully, running his fingertips across its smooth edges and polished wood grain as he considered his options.
With this, he could easily find a place to think, and he could return just moments after he left the interrogation room. And with the branches of the Sacred Timeline already diverging wildly out of control, no one would ever know he had left.
Loki quickly glanced over his shoulders to make sure he was alone, and he flipped the top screen of the TemPad open. The previous coordinates were still typed in, still active.
All he had to do was press a single button and walk through the Time Door. In another moment or two, he could return to the Zaniac premiere and finally have the drink he so desperately needed.
And maybe Brad’s date would be willing to share that drink with him…

Date : June 18th, 1977 [Sacred Timeline]
This was not how you thought your birthday would turn out.
Dressed to the nines, after hours in the salon chair getting your hair done and days of planning your outfit down to the perfume kissing the insides of your wrists - all so you could be abandoned by that jackass before the showing of his film even started.
What made it worse was you didn’t even want to be here tonight, with this Brad Wolfe - a man no one had ever heard of before six months ago but was suddenly basking in the spotlight of directors clamoring to hire him and starlets begging to be seen with him.
You could have been out with your friends celebrating your birthday, but your agent had insisted that this would be much better for your career; he was definitely going to be getting a very unpleasant phone call in the morning.
After Brad disappeared, you sat yourself at the bar and ordered a drink; it was less humiliating than the press seeing you alone inside the theater, which would have surely been the only headline in tomorrow morning’s paper.
You briefly thought about calling your friends to meet up at The Roxy, which had been the initial plan for the evening, but ultimately decided against it. Nothing could salvage the evening now; maybe you’d have better luck next year.
The ice from your second drink had all but melted, and after the leftover contents were consumed, you were ready to get out of there. The exciting climax of the movie would be happening soon, and once again the lobby would be swarming with press and London’s finest celebrities, not to mention Brad - who had probably found another woman to have clinging to his arm during the film. You didn’t need to see that.
As you thanked the bartender with a warm smile and placed a generous tip in his jar, your thoughts returned to the two men Brad had been talking to just before he disappeared. One of the men, the older gentleman, seemed pleased as punch to be there, but the other one - the tall, dark and devastatingly handsome one - seemed like he’d rather be literally anywhere else; it was exactly how you felt about this ridiculous event.
And God was that scowl on his face sexy; but then again, everything about him was positively delicious. His piercing green eyes had threatened to set the room ablaze as he looked around the room, and when he wasn’t scowling, he was smirking.
It was a very confident smirk, and he deserved to have it. He certainly knew how to wear a tuxedo, and you were sure he looked even better underneath it.
Just thinking about it was enough to make your heart race, and the warmth of arousal was beginning to unfurl itself in your core. It was too bad the most gorgeous man you’d ever seen had left already; perhaps you would head to The Roxy after all, to find someone to take you home tonight…
“Leaving so soon?”
Your breath faltered as you turned to see him standing next to you. He looked exquisite - casually leaned against the bar, one ankle crossed over the other, and one hand in his pocket as he raised an inquisitive eyebrow in your direction. You couldn’t believe this was happening, that he had appeared so suddenly and he was looking right at you.
“I suppose that depends on whether something exciting is about to happen here,” you replied with a shrug and met his inquisitive expression with one of your own.
The man chuckled and cleared his throat as he turned his attention to the rows of liquor displayed behind the bar. “And I suppose you wouldn’t think helping me decide on a drink would be very exciting…”
His voice was smooth as silk - polished and refined, and it made everything he wasn’t saying so much more intense. You could see his eyes in the mirror behind the bar, hungrily roaming up and down your form as he paused, and you knew he was thinking about all the things he wanted to do tonight.
And when he turned back to look at you, it was like you were the only other person in existence, like you were the only thing that mattered. “…or would you find that exciting?”
That look was sinful, intoxicating, teasing. It made you forget all about wanting to get out of there before the movie ended. It made you want to do anything to keep his attention, and so you sat back down on the barstool and crossed your legs as you leaned closer to him.
“Surely a classy man such as yourself knows what he likes to drink?” you replied, hoping he enjoyed being teased as much as he enjoyed teasing.
The man laughed again and shook his head with a charming smile on his perfectly-crafted face. If you didn’t know any better, you would have believed a God had sculpted his features with a careful and delicate hand, that only something majestic could have styled the dark curls on his head. He was perfect, and you were dying for him to ruin you.
“Well, I’ll be honest - I just wanted to know what you were drinking, so I could invite you to have another with me.”
He didn’t wait for a response, and immediately unbuttoned the jacket of his tuxedo as he sat down next to you. His long legs were splayed wide as he gazed at you, and he had the kind of thighs you wanted to sink your teeth in.
The white shirt underneath the jacket was stark white and perfectly pressed, save the ruffles running vertically from his throat to his waist. There weren’t too many men that could pull off that look with the same confidence and charm, and you found yourself wondering who he was and what he did for a living.
He had to work in the entertainment industry - fashion, maybe? Another actor? You wanted to know everything about him, from where he grew up to how many different ways he could make your toes curl.
“What a clever, classy pick-up line. I’m truly impressed,” you murmured playfully as you beckoned the bartender over.
The man narrowed his eyes, and his perfect lips curved into a teasing smirk. “I believe it worked, did it not?”
You shrugged innocently, bringing your fingertips to fondle the necklace dangling around your neck. His gaze followed your fingers with a hungry expression, and he opened his mouth to say something else when the bartender interrupted to take your order.
“Yes, me and my new friend…” you paused and tilted your head at him, a silent plea for the man to finally introduce himself.
His expression shifted briefly to uncertainty, as if he wasn’t sure that he wanted to give you his name at all, before resuming his confident demeanor as he met your gaze once more. “Loki. Pleased to meet you.”
“A pair of Slow Screws for me and my new friend, Loki,” you smiled at the bartender before returning to your new companion for the evening. “That’s quite an interesting name, Loki. Scandinavian?”
“Something like that. And you’ve got quite an interesting drink order,” he replied, leaning closer and sliding his arm along the back of your chair. “Tell me - do you usually share Slow Screws with complete strangers?”
His voice was low and husky, vibrating at all the right frequencies and sending shivers of excitement down your spine. It took all of your willpower to not mount him on the spot.
“Only when it’s my birthday, and I’ve been abandoned by my jerk of a date,” you answered, though truthfully you were glad he disappeared if it meant you got to know this man a little better.
Loki’s brow twitched and he looked away; it was an odd reaction, one you hadn’t anticipated. Did Loki know something about why Brad had left, and was he not expecting you to bring it up?
The bartender returned with your drinks, and you were grateful for something else to focus on for the moment. Freshly-squeezed orange juice and gin swirled around the tall glass as you brought it to your lips and took a not-so dainty sip.
Loki glanced over and smiled as he followed suit, then set his glass down and began tapping the bar-top with his long and surely skilled fingers. “You know I, um…was speaking with your date earlier, and I promise he didn’t ditch you. Something very important had come up, and…”
Loki glanced over at you again, his green eyes sparkling as if a thousand distant worlds were burning up inside them. He had an unparalleled mysterious aura around him, like the weight of the entire world was resting on his broad shoulders.
“If he sent you here to keep me company in his stead…” you interrupted, brushing your fingers across the back of his hand as he tapped mindlessly on the bar-top. “…then I’m glad he left.”
That seemed to be enough to make him forget about all of his earlier troubles, and a confident smile graced his features once more. “Well, I couldn’t leave a beautiful woman all alone on her birthday, now could I?”
Loki rotated his hand underneath yours, and his fingertips lightly traced along your inner wrist, sending your heart rate skyrocketing. He leaned closer to whisper against your ear. “So how does the birthday girl want to celebrate then, hmm?”
Your breath hitched, and it felt like the rest of the world stopped except for the two of you. You wanted to spend your evening dissolving into pleasure, screaming his name, breaking your bed - but this man clearly loved innuendos and teasing; it was foreplay for him, just as much as it was for you.
“Well, I’ve always wanted to try…a Slow Comfortable Screw Against The Wall,” you answered softly, knowing he would understand that you didn’t necessarily mean the drink.
Loki’s arm slipped around your chair once more, dragging his knuckles down the back of your arm. “Is that how you like it?”
Your eyes widened, and your heart thudded painfully in your chest. But it was worth it if it meant he’d do it, so you nodded as you bit your lower lip.
“Slow…and comfortable?” Loki continued, whispering softly and letting his lips brush against the cartilage of your ear.
Swallowing back a moan was the hardest thing you’d ever done. Your thighs pressed together, squeezing them against your already wet cunt and nodded again.
“What about against the wall? Do you like that too?” Loki brought his other hand up, tracing the angle of your jaw with his fingertips and turning your face closer to his.
Your lips parted as your nose brushed against his, and you silently pleaded for mercy. Your pussy was already throbbing and clenching around nothing, and if you didn’t get out of here soon, you were going to explode.
A simple yes was all you could manage, and Loki immediately took action. He pulled a few bills from his pocket and tossed them on the bar as he stood up, and you absolutely could not believe your luck - that he came back, that he wanted you, that he was going to take you exactly the way you wanted.
You quickly followed him to standing, and your knees almost buckled underneath the weight of the adrenaline and hormones carving their way through your veins. Loki placed his hand on your lower back and guided you swiftly through the crowd that had returned after the movie’s end.
And you didn’t even turn your head as you passed by reporters milling about in the lobby, wondering where the hell Brad Wolfe was.
As you stepped outside, Loki’s hand slipped from your waist to grab your hand and pull you after him. You thought he was going to lead you to a cab, but instead, he turned down the alleyway beside the theater.
“Wait - where are we going?” you giggled in anticipation as he squeezed your hand. Did he have his own vehicle parked somewhere back here?
Loki turned around and yanked you closer, wrapping his arms around your waist as he continued backing down the alleyway. “I’m giving the Birthday Girl what she asked for. Remember?” he murmured against your lips as his hands splayed wide on your hips.
You couldn’t take the wait any longer and crushed your lips against his. Loki’s groan was deep and powerful as he eagerly returned the kiss. His lips tasted like gin and lust, and his hands gripped you tightly, pulling you all the way against his body.
Your hands found the lapels of his tuxedo jacket, pulling on the material as you parted your lips around his. He eagerly slipped his tongue between them as he started to walk you backwards.
Loki towered over you, even with your heels on, and soon his lips were moving down to your neck, sucking on the delicate skin as his hands slid down to squeeze your ass. You gasped, and immediately started to unbutton his tuxedo jacket.
He hummed an approval against your neck, and his hands grasped your ass harder, making you grind your hips against his. “I thought the Birthday Girl wanted it slow and comfortable, hmm?”
“Changed my mind,” you whispered breathlessly, opening the jacket and untucking his shirt from his pants. “I need you now…”
Loki grinned as he pushed you against the wall, trapping you between the firm, cold bricks and his firm, warm body. “Ah, so you’re an impatient Birthday Girl,” he growled against your lips.
This new tone, so wild and animalistic compared to the opulent and sophisticated one he had used back at the bar, was more than enough to make you forget that you were in public, that he was a stranger, that if anyone saw this then your career would be over. But you were being driven by pure lust at this point, and nothing else mattered anymore.
Your lips met again, moving frantically against each other as your tongues and hips writhed together. It was incredible that your bodies and minds were already so in sync with each other - when you moaned against his lips, he’d groan against yours, and when you gasped, he’d exhale in a deep hum that threatened to drive you insane.
He pulled the strap of your dress down as you untied the knot of his bowtie and began to loosen the buttons of his shirt. Loki kissed his way down your neck and you arched into his touch, even as your hair snagged on the bricks behind you.
You quickly slipped your arm out of the strap, and Loki slid the top of your dress down to your waist, exposing your breasts. Your nipples hardened from arousal and the cold evening air, and Loki leaned down to take one between his lips. You moaned out loud in response, encouraging him to keep going as you spread your legs to grind against his thigh.
His tongue flicked against your stiff nipple as he sucked, and your fingers curled tightly in his hair as you hooked a leg around his waist. Your hips gyrated wildly against him, soothing your aching clit as you chased a release.
“Oh, yes. Keep going, love,” Loki groaned against your skin and shifted his hands to keep you balanced on one leg, gripping your hips tightly as he brought his face back up to yours.
He pushed his leg further between yours, watching eagerly as you continued grinding against his thigh. You gasped and moaned breathlessly, each one louder than the last as the alleyway faded away and all that remained was the stranger bringing you ethereal levels of pleasure.
“Yes, that’s it. Come for me, dear,” Loki rasped as he brought his lips over to your ear, and his teeth nipped at the cartilage as he spoke. “I’ll give you more - as many as you wish…”
You could barely hear him as blood pumped frantically through every vein and every nerve ending prepared to fire off, but it seemed as though he was getting as much pleasure out of this as you were. What a blessing this was - it was your birthday, and this man only wanted to make you come.
You gasped as your orgasm washed over you, sending endorphins and molten lava through your veins. Your fingers dug into his neck and shoulders, and your leg shook and wobbled as you died and reborn anew.
Loki moaned with you as you came, his hands grabbing your hips to keep them rolling against his thigh. Your eyes rolled back into your head and unintelligible whimpers of pleasure tumbled from your lips. And just as the orgasm started to fade, his hands slipped around the back of your thighs to lift you up.
Somehow you managed to lock your arms around his neck as he held you in the air, and he hooked his forearms underneath your knees as your bare back scraped against the brick. It hurt so good, and you buried your face in his hair, breathing in his scent and savoring the way he was going to ravage you.
Loki grabbed your ass as he rolled his hips against yours, both of you moaning in unison at the skin-to-skin contact. His heavy exhales washed over your skin as he panted against your jaw, and you were still trembling from the aftershocks of the first orgasm when his cock slid inside you.
He groaned in pleasure as he pushed deeper within your soaked cunt, and your toes curled inside your shoes. You hadn’t even seen his cock yet, but you could feel just how perfect it was, how perfect he was - and you couldn’t help but squeeze as he bottomed out inside you.
“Such a tight and lovely little thing,” Loki hissed as he started to thrust, slowly at first but quickly increasing his pace. His hips rocked back and forth, and your fingers scratched at his scalp to beg him to keep going.
He held you in the air, easily supporting your entire weight as he drove himself into you over and over. It was like magic, he was like a benevolent God of Pleasure, and you would forever worship the ground he walked on as long as he continued doing this to you.
You buried your face against his shoulder to muffle your cries of pleasure as he filled you up, and his lower back arched as his thrusts became frantic. You moaned his name and he moaned yours, and his fingers gripped you tightly as yours dug into his neck.
“Yes! Come for me, darling!” Loki growled against your ear as he adjusted your hips, pulling them away from the wall. His thrusts became urgent, and this new angle allowed him to move deeper, pressing against the most sensitive flesh that other men could only dream of reaching.
You crossed the threshold again, coming even harder than you did the first time. Loki grunted like an animal as he made his final pushes inside you before following you off the edge. Your thighs shook as his hips bucked, and your muscles squeezed every ounce of pleasure out of him.
The sounds he made were sinful, and it was almost enough to keep you going. Neither of you were on Earth anymore; floating in the cosmos, higher than you’d ever been before, your hips writhing and mouths gasping for air as you came together.
You don’t know how long you stayed like that, but eventually your bodies became still, and you could feel his lips pressed lazily against your jaw and his eyelashes fluttering against your cheek. “You have no idea…just how much…I needed that…” he murmured breathlessly.
You could feel the gravity of his words bringing you back down to the ground, and while you didn’t know what he was referring to, you wished that you could. “I’m glad you convinced me to stay for that drink then…”
Loki chuckled to himself as he pressed his forehead against yours and carefully pulled the strap of your dress back to your shoulder. His fingertips were delicate as they traced along your collarbone, and as his eyes traveled up to meet your gaze, you could see a thousand lifetimes of sadness hiding behind them.
“Thank you…for the drink, and the birthday present. Maybe we can do this again for your birthday…” you continued with a smile, hoping to be able to see him again soon. You didn’t know if he needed the reassurance, but you wanted to give it to him anyway.
He didn’t respond at first, and you gently caressed his cheek. This evening was too magical to not let it happen again, and you prayed that he felt the same.
Loki’s expression was one of anguish as he turned his head to kiss your palm. He let out a heavy exhale, and forced himself to look at you again.
“Yes. Maybe we can…” Loki smiled as he gazed into your eyes, and your heart ached as he leaned down to kiss you once more.

Hello!
Truthfully, I know only surface level information about DC, but I've really enjoyed all your fics for the Batfam💕
Only take this request if it sparks something for you and you can write whatever form, being HCs, imagine, etc!
I'd like to request something for a (gn) civilian reader who is friends w/ the Batfam, but recently got superpowers that are magical girl-esque. I imagine reader was in the wrong place, wrong time situation w/ some criminals and got powers from an alien artifact. Their powers are sparkely and elegant but pretty flashy as well. Their tranaformation actually stuns people into watching and a lot of their moves only work if there is flair and finesse to them.
Reader is already struggling w/ if they want to be a new vigilante, but they’re mostly embarrassed by how showy and pretty their powers are in comparison to the dark and brooding Batfam. They feel out of place next to them and hate becoming the center of attention.
Sorry if this idea is a bit out there, but ty for letting me be indulgent in your ask box 💕 Love your writing!!

The first thing you recalled was the pain. Fiery and burning, radioactive through your veins. The second was the light. So bright that it was practically burned into your retinas. And the third was the ringing sensation that was too stubborn to leave your ears. It made your head throb and your eyes water. The city is cold as you walk through the streets, wandering aimlessly with little to nowhere to go and with even less to do.
Not too long ago, you found yourself in a bit of a situation. A ‘wrong place, wrong time’ kind of situation. The feeling of icy cold fingers wrapping around you will never leave your mind. The feeling of being tied down and exposed to…whatever it was they used to experiment with will always have a permanent place in your mind. And although the memories were there…..most of them were hazy. Glimpses. Fragments of memories. You thought that perhaps you were in and out of consciousness. Or that whatever strange artifact you were exposed to fucked with your mind. Nevertheless, you now have these….strange abilities. Beautiful, yet strange. Enthralling.
“Still brooding?” A voice sounded behind you, light, full of amusement and belonging to none other than Dick Grayson clad from head-to-toe in his nightwing get up; black except for a splash of blue across his chest and over his shoulders.
“It’s not brooding” you corected, hardly sparing him a glance before continuing down the street. You had encountered the vigilantes many times. Sometimes you found yourself on the same case as them. And each and every time they would come practically begging for you to join them. Tim, Dick’s little brother had pieced together your situation alarming quickly. He knew you had nowhere to go. So in came offer after offer for you to join them. You had repeatedly declined. Not that you didn’t like the vigilantes; in fact you found them rather amusing. It was the fact that you felt out of place with abilities like yours. It was easier to work alone.
“Oh yeah?” Dick caught up with you quickly, his larger strides matching your own with ease. “Then what would you call it?”
“None of your business, that’s what.” You replied, but there was a soft grin on your lips.
Nightwing just tilted his head with an unamused look.
“What’s that look for?” You teased, continuing to walk.
“Come on. You know what i'm going to ask”
“No.” You answer immediately.
“But–”
“No.”
“Why not? You’re wasting your potential here.”
“Because.”
Dick let out a frustrated sigh, deadpanning at you as he brought the two of you to a stop. “You’re impossible.”
“No. it's embarrassing.”
Dick’s eyebrows shoot up at that. “Embarrassing?”
“My powers are…flashy. I don’t want to be the centre of attention. It’s embarrassing.”
He frowned, eyebrows knitting together as he turned to face you. “You’re embarrassed of them?”
“....i guess.”
“Sweetheart, look at me. You have nothing to be embarrassed about. Seriously.”
“No?”
Dick looks at you as if you committed a crime. “Course not. What you’ve got is really special.”
“You think so?”
“I know so.” He says. “I'm serious. Your powers could save lives, Kid. Consider it.”
“I……fine.”
“You’re serious?” His face lights up. “You’ll join us.”
“Yes. But don’t get used to it. I won’t always let you get your way.”

DIABOLIK LOVERS Eternal Blood Animate Tokuten CD ☽ Vol. 1 & 2 ・A Certain Day at the Mukami Household
Tumblr media
Original title: ある日の無神家 Voiced by Sakurai Takahiro (Ruki), Suzuki Tatsuhisa (Yuma) English translation by @otomehonyaku Click here for the audio (as always, BIG thank you to @karleksmumskladdkaka!)

This CD was very generous with the fan service, to say the least... I can safely say it's one of my new absolute favourites! The cooing, the teasing, the brotherly banter, Ruki's tired dad energy near the end, and both Ruki and Yuma fawning over you? _:(´ཀ`」 ∠): I hope you have as much fun listening and reading along as I had translating it!
Please do not reuse or post my translations elsewhere or translate my work into other languages without my permission.

00:00 [The scene starts with Ruki quietly reading in his room.]
Ruki: What a lovely day it is today. A pleasant breeze is coming in from the window, and time is passing ever so slowly... There couldn’t be a more perfect time to read.
[Ruki turns a page.]
Ruki: I see. There’s much more to this book than I thought. I only bought it on a whim to pass the time, but… it’s actually not bad at all.
[Ruki turns another page and continues reading. The sound of rushed footsteps comes from the hallway.]
Ruki: Oh. Those footsteps… Is that Yuma?
[Ruki snaps his book shut with a sigh.]
Ruki: If he’s heading this way, he probably wants something from me. I’d hoped to spend a quiet day alone, but it seems like I’ll have to let that go…
[Yuma bursts into the room.]
Yuma: Hey! This’s bad, Ruki!
Ruki: Do not run in the hallway. Knock. Wait before I answer until I open the door. How many times do I have to tell you all of this?
Yuma: There’s somethin’ much more important that I need you to take a look at. You got time, right?
Ruki: What happened? You came all this way to disturb my reading, so at least tell me why.
Yuma: You’ll know the reason when you just come to the garden ‘n look at it.
Ruki: At what?
[The scene shifts to the Mukami mansion's vegetable garden.]
Ruki: Ah… What on Earth is this? Hey, you. You were here together with Yuma, right? Explain the situation.
[You try to explain, but you’re so worked up that you keep stumbling over your words.]
Ruki: I shouldn’t have asked you. I can’t have a conversation with you when you can't even string together a sentence.
Yuma: Well… you know how most of the veggies in the garden are pretty much ripe for the pickin’ right now? She was pickin’ them for me, and then she suddenly called out that she saw somethin’ underneath the dirt. So, I got curious and dug it up, and it was… this.
[Yuma pats the box next to him.]
Ruki: This box? It looks like a coffin. You could lock up a full-sized human in there.
02:04 Yuma: Haha. You ain’t wrong. Like you said, it might be a coffin. Might be a vampire inside that was buried while he was sleepin’ or somethin'.
[You definitely don’t like the idea of that.]
Yuma: What, you scared something’s gonna jump out at you? You’d better fight like hell. Heh.
[You ask him what he would do if something were to jump out at you.]
Yuma: Huh? I’m just gonna stand by ‘n watch, of course. I ain’t comin’ to your rescue for free.
[Yuma comes closer.]
Yuma: If you want me to save ya, you got somethin’ to give me in return, right? That sweet stuff that’s flowin’ in your veins… Make me an offer and I might give it some thought.
Ruki: Yuma. That’s enough.
Yuma: Yeah, yeah, got it.
[Ruki steps closer to the box.]
Ruki: Hmm… The lid of the box seems to have a lock on it, but it’s in really bad condition. It looks like it would open easily.
Yuma: So? Let’s take a look inside.
Ruki: Hold on, Yuma. Don’t do anything reckless. Haven’t you read any literature on these kinds of things?
Yuma: Literature?
Ruki: These kinds of boxes are often traps. I’ve read about them in books. For example, there was one case in which a box washed up on a seashore. A man opened the box and smoke poured out, which gathered into the shape of an old man. It’s likely some kind of curse.
Yuma: Those kinds of curses exist?
Ruki: And then there are also these boxes of various sizes, collectively called tsuzura. You’re pressured to choose a single box, and if you choose the biggest one, there’s a trap inside: a monster jumps out of it. There are innumerable examples.
04:01 Yuma: Really? That’s some scary shit.
[You tell them those are probably made-up stories.]
Ruki: Oh? Do you really think they’re mere myths, Livestock? I’ll let you open the box, then.
[You immediately backpedal and try to run away, but Ruki catches you.]
Ruki: Oh, no. Don’t think you can run away now.
[You tell him you don’t want to do it.]
Ruki: You’re the one who said they’re myths. This is an order from your master. Hurry up and open it. If a monster really were to jump out, you’d have nowhere to run. It could easily tear you to pieces. I wonder what happens when it sinks its teeth into this pale skin of yours…
[Ruki’s hands palm your bare skin. You get flustered and try to move away.]
Ruki: What’s wrong? Did you already imagine it just by me touching you? Ah… So you actually prefer pain over pleasure.
[Ruki pulls you closer.]
Ruki: Don’t lie to me. You’re eagerly awaiting it, aren’t you? Your body seems to be trembling in delight, actually. Show me that expression of yours properly.
[Ruki grabs your chin and forces you to look at him.]
Ruki: Oh. I see the colour has completely drained from your face. Fear is not such a bad look on you. Well, then—do as your master tells you and open that lid.
[You tell him you’re scared and repeat that you really don’t want to.]
Ruki: That’s precisely why I’m making you do it, of course.
[You’re on the verge of tears.]
Ruki: Heh. You look miserable when you’re about to burst into tears. It’s quite enjoyable. However, you seem to be misunderstanding something. I’m not doing this to punish you. It’s your reward for helping Yuma.
[Ruki pulls you even closer while you struggle.]
06:03 Ruki: To have your will completely ignored, your body pinned down until you have no choice but to obey… you actually get off on such wretched situations, don’t you? I’ll make you humiliate yourself. Now, how about you wag your little tail in delight and do as I say?
[You violently shake your head.]
Ruki: Good grief… You really don’t know when to give up, do you? You still have no intention of obeying?
Yuma: You’ve really gotten more stubborn since you started livin’ with us. Or, well, you were prolly already stubborn from the get-go.
Ruki: Livestock who don’t follow orders don’t do themselves any favours in terms of charm. Ah. Let’s do this on different terms, then. If you open the lid, I’ll make you your favourite for dinner.
[That piques your interest. You immediately say you’ll do it.]
Yuma: That makes you agree straight away?!
Ruki: Ah… I’ve clearly been using the wrong methods to discipline you. It’s like I’ve got one more Kou or Yuma in my household…
Yuma: What do Kou ‘n I gotta do with that? Well, fine by me, though. Besides, this lid’s pretty heavy. You sure you can lift it with those tiny arms?
[You try to lift the lid but fail miserably.]
Yuma: It ain’t movin’ at all. Are you even tryin’? Put some more effort into it or Ruki’s just gonna yell at you.
[The lid still doesn’t budge despite your best efforts.]
Yuma: I thought you said you’d do it yourself. How pathetic.
[You give up.]
Yuma: You’re so hopeless it ain’t even funny. Hey, Ruki. It’ll take all day if we leave this to her.
Ruki: It certainly seems that way. It can’t be helped, I suppose. Lend her a hand.
Yuma: Gotcha. Let’s see… I’ll give you a hand, so at least put some effort into it, alright? If you can’t open that lid, I’ll sink my fangs into you so deep you’re gonna beg for mercy. Makes it a bit more thrilling, right? Really, though. You keep yapping about the lid being heavy, but how heavy’s it really?
[Yuma gives a little push and the lid gives right away.]
08:24 Yuma: Huh? The fuck? It ain’t even that heavy. You really are useless. You shoulda been able to lift it lickety-split, Sow. I’ve given you a head start, so you do the rest. I’ll let go, so don’t drop the lid, alright?
[Yuma lets go and you immediately almost drop the lid.]
Yuma: C’mon, hold it up a little higher, Sow! Are you really puttin’ all your strength into it? You look like an idiot. Makes me wanna laugh. If you don’t put in the effort like it’s the last thing you’ll ever do, we’ll start from scratch again. Jeez… I’ll teach you how it’s done.
[Yuma puts a hand on your lower back, which startles you.]
Yuma: Here, right here. Focus your strength in your lower back when you brace yourself. What, you ticklish?
[You shake your head.]
Yuma: Ah, I see, I see. So you’re just weak? Besides, you can’t really fight back when you got your hands full. Even if I were to do this…
[Yuma puts his hands on you again.]
Yuma: Hehe. That’s a great reaction. Doesn’t matter how tough a position you’re in, you still love it, dontcha? You’re workin’ so hard so hold up that lid, but I wonder what’ll happen if I do it again…
[You unconsciously brace yourself.]
Yuma: You’re shiverin’ like a little rabbit. Ah, come to think of it, there’s a lil’ somethin’ on your clothes…
[Yuma puts his hands on your waist and squeezes. You almost drop the lid.]
Yuma: Haha! Don’t let go so easily. Are your sides really that weak? Besides, I think you know already, but if you let go, you lose. Hm… You don’t wanna get punished, do ya? Better fix that attitude ‘n please your owner. Brace yourself ‘n take it. C’mon, c’mon!
[Yuma tickles and gropes you until you finally break and drop the lid.]
10:24 Yuma: Ah, for shame. Now the lid’s closed again. Time’s come for this useless little piggy’s punishment.
[Yuma grabs you from behind and pulls you against him. Your arms are trapped behind you.]
Yuma: Well, you can’t run away when I’ve got you from behind like this. Your chest’s completely unprotected. Should we punish you right here, right now? C’mon, Ruki. Join in on the fun.
Ruki: Good grief. What are you playing around for? However… You didn’t follow your master’s orders. This indeed calls for punishment.
[Ruki walks over to you. You turn your head to the side in embarrassment.]
Ruki: Are you trying to seduce me, exposing your neck to me like that? You really lack discipline.
[Ruki trails his fingers along your neck, causing you to shiver.]
Ruki: Heh. You’re already losing control of your body just from a little touch of my fingers. Did you fail on purpose because you actually want to be punished? Normally, I would’ve sunk my fangs into you right away, but I think I’ll keep you in suspense today.
[Ruki trails his fingers along your skin again—your cheek and your ear this time.]
Ruki: Your cheek, your ear… Where would you like me to bite you?
[You tremble.]
Ruki: What’s wrong? You’re already trembling from my fingers tracing your skin… Does it excite you that much?
[You deny it.]
Yuma: You can deny it all you want, but you don’t sound very convincing. You’re just covered in weak spots, right? I bet you’ll cry out nicely when I touch your back. Let’s see…
[Yuma caresses your back and your voice slips.]
12:00 Yuma: Haha. What was that shameless sound just now? That’s all it takes to turn you on? What a lewd lil' thing you are.
[You struggle.]
Yuma: For fuck's sake... What’re you actin’ all innocent for when you’re clearly beggin’ to be touched?
Ruki: Are you writhing like that because you want it so badly it hurts, then? You’re out of luck, though—I’ll drag it out. You won’t learn discipline if you always get what you want right away, after all. I'll caress you slowly, deliberately, until you’re absolutely flushed with heat...
[You quietly protest, but like Yuma said, you don’t sound convincing at all.]
Yuma: Nah, you’re actually way into this, ain’t you? If you want our fangs, beg for it.
Ruki: Where would you like me to bite you? Tell me. I can't promise that I’ll honour your wishes, though.
[You struggle against them with all your might, kicking and screaming.]
Yuma: Hey, calm down—
[You accidentally kick the coffin in your efforts to get away.]
Yuma & Ruki: Huh?
Yuma: Oh, dammit. Now part of the lid’s broken because you were kickin’ so hard.
Ruki: The coffin itself has deteriorated quite a bit, too. That said, your kicking did most of the damage. Yuma. Let her go. Her punishment is on hold for now. We can’t have her destroy that coffin before we confirm what’s inside.
Yuma: Well, whatever.
[Yuma lets you go and your knees immediately give out.]
Yuma: Haha. What’re you sittin’ down for? Didya really feel that good? Well, we’ll take our sweet time with you when we continue later. I mean, you wanna see what’s inside the coffin too, right?
[You get up again.]
Ruki: Yuma, can you open it up?
Yuma: Yeah, hold on—
[Yuma opens the lid of the coffin all the way.]
Yuma & Ruki: Oh?
Yuma: The hell’s this?
Ruki: They look like kimono (1) and combs from a long time ago…
Yuma: There’s a whole bunch of stuff that I don’t really recognise, too…
Ruki: I see. It seems we’ve unearthed a time capsule.
14:08 Yuma: A time… capsule? What’s that?
Ruki: People put various things from their time in a box and bury it. Usually, they’re unearthed after a long time, when someone wants to reminisce.
Yuma: Why’s it buried here in the garden?
Ruki: I don’t know what happened on this land before the Mukami mansion was built. However, whoever buried this box clearly put a lot of thought into it.
Yuma: Huh. So what’re we gonna do with it?
[You suggest burying it again to preserve its contents.]
Ruki: Easy for you to say, considering you were kicking it earlier. However, I have no objections to that idea. Let’s put it back in the ground.
Yuma: Even though we went through all that trouble to dig it up?
Ruki: We have no need for it.
Yuma: Well, that’s true. Let’s bury it somewhere where it won’t interfere with my garden. I don’t really get it, though. What’s fun about preservin’ the past?
Ruki: I wonder. It’s a human endeavour first and foremost, though. It has little to do with us.
[You shift on your feet.]
Yuma: Huh? What’s up?
[You tell him you understand.]
Yuma: Understand what?
[You explain.]
Yuma: The feelin’ of wantin’ to cherish your memories?
Ruki: Heh. Memories are worthless. It’s truly something for shallow humans to want to convey memories from their own time period to later generations. Do not think there’s any worth in doing that.
[You disagree. You’ve made nice memories with the Mukami family, after all.]
Ruki: What?
Yuma: Haha. Well said. So, even though you haven’t had it easy since you started livin’ with us, you still made some good memories?
[You nod.]
Yuma: Heh. Isn’t that ‘cause we’ve trained (2) you to think that? Well, I do kinda get what you’re sayin’. Everyone’s got at least some precious memories, after all. Right, Ruki?
16:08 Ruki: Heh. Still, I don’t understand the need to bury them where they’ll never see the light of day.
Yuma: Yeah, I’m with you on that.
[You try to convince them, but…]
Yuma: Nah, it’s alright. Besides, you gotta help me bury this thing again. And after that, we’ve still got harvestin’ to do!
[You’re surprised.]
Ruki: Heh. You unearthed it, so it’s only logical that you have to help burying it again. You’d better work up a sweat while you’re at it.
Yuma: Hey, Ruki. You’re already here anyway, so lend us a hand too, will ya? With the harvestin’ and all.
Ruki: What? You’re seriously asking me that?
Yuma: You’re makin’ her her favourite for dinner, right? We won’t make it in time for dinner if you don’t harvest the necessary veggies yourself.
Ruki: Tch. That’s not something I should need to dirty my hands for. Hey. Harvest whatever you’d like to eat yourself.
Yuma: C’mon, Ruki. Put in the work for once. You’ll be covered in mould eventually if you keep readin’ so much.
Ruki: You might want to consider that we’re vampires. Do you seriously think there are other vampires who think it’s healthy to work outside on days when the sun’s this bright?
Yuma: I like it, so that’s all that matters! You think so too, right?
Ruki: For fuck’s sake... I won’t do it. I refuse!
Yuma: It’s alright, it’s alright! Hurry ‘n c’mere!
Ruki: You two do it!

Besides the obvious traditional Japanese clothing, the word kimono literally means ‘things to wear’ and can also be understood as ‘clothes’ more generally. I think the latter may also apply here.
調教(ちょうきょう)refers to the training of animals.

“For fucks sake!” You screech, the sound of your rage swallowed by a bus that screams by the side of the road as you slam the hood of your smoking car shut.
“At least it’s not in flames-” Starts a random passerby walking their dog, but is sent running when you send them a withering glare. After the weekend you’ve had and it’s only Friday night?
You open your phone, your glare turning to the long list of outgoing calls to every hotel within an hour of your apartment, all booked to no vacancy for a local festival. Your landlord really picked the perfect weekend to kick all their tenants out for “emergency” maintenance for an issue that was reported months ago.
Someone must have threatened to report the living conditions, as his attitude quickly changed when he offered to reimburse the hotel costs if his tenants were forced to stay at one.
Your gaze softens as you scroll through those calls to where Megumi contacted you, letting you know he had made it to the martial arts competition he was coaching this weekend. His soft spot and skill for taking care of children was what initially drew you to him, but right now you wished more than anything you could press on his name and he could come to your rescue like always.
Calling a tow truck to bring your car to the mechanics wasn’t necessarily the issue… but being on the streets for the next couple nights was. With your car in this condition, it wasn’t like you could sleep in it, given your inability to find even a shity motel room in the worst part of town.
You take a moment to mourn the fact that you didn’t move closer to where your family lives before realizing you really only have one option in front of you; Toji.
The contact information for your boyfriend's father mocks you on the screen, daring you to call him, a perfect stranger, to come and save your ass. The lack of familiarity wasn’t based on a lack of effort on your part, having tried repeatedly to get Megumi to open up about his family. The most that you were able to glean was that his mother had passed away and his father wasn’t often present.
“Hello?” A gruff voice answers on the first ring. You didn’t even realize you had pressed his number before he was on the line. “Sorry, Mr. Fushiguro? This is Megumi’s fiance…” An awkward, lasting silence stretches out between the two of you before you clear your throat and try again. “I’m very sorry to bother you, but Megumi is out of town and m-my car is billowing smoke a-and all the hotels are booked-”
Toji smirks as you ramble, rather cutely he may add, grabbing his wallet and keys before he’s even told you yes to both of your requests. He chuckles under his breath as you struggle to not fill the silence, letting your words hang in the air again.
“I’m on my way,” He hums as he twists the keys in the ignition of his car. “Get your stuff out of the car in case it explodes.”
He barks out a laugh as he hangs up and hears a distressed noise of dismay leave your throat. You’re so easily worked up, he wonders if this is why Megumi has done everything in his power to prevent the two of you from meeting… a valid concern. Considering how that ex of his used to try to hang off of Toji. He shudders in disgust at the memory of the girl, still in high school and thinking she was worth a second glance.
Something tells him you’d be a prettier sight.
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
This is why Megumi has been telling you no… It takes everything in you to keep your jaw snapped shut as you watch his father prowl up to where you're standing over your suitcase on the sidewalk, nervously glancing at the vehicle he made seem may blow up at any second.
You approach the car hesitantly when he waves you over, shocked that your legs work from how tightly your wound. He opens up the hood to take a look at what’s causing the smoke while you wait for your tow.
“Here, sweetheart.” It only takes him a second to point out what's wrong with your engine, gently redirecting your finger when you point to an area in question. “I wouldn’t hold out too much hope that this is worth fixing… you may be looking at a new set of wheels.”
Anger and frustration well up in you again, even as a flush of heat cascades down your spine at the small touch of his skin on yours. You’re thankful for the distraction the anger provides, given the other option is avoiding looking at how his tight black t-shirt stretches across his torso or drooling like a pitiful little girl. Your fiance is attractive, but there’s still a softness to his face. He lacks the hard planes and sharp angles his father possesses.
“One thing at a time.” Toji squeezes your shoulder with a smirk, leading closer than he should. How is he supposed to help himself when you seem ready to snap with how tightly you’ve wound yourself? The tension in your back only winds further with how he kneads your skin. “If you need it, I’ll pitch in to help Megumi get you around for a bit.”
Your mouth opens to stutter out a reply… or maybe a denial for such an open ended offer, but the horn of the tow truck stops you.
“Let me handle that.” He hums. “I wouldn’t want the tow truck driver to try to take advantage of you.”
Watching him leave, you pull the phone from your pocket, sending Megumi a quick update about where you’re going before your phone dies. You shove it back into its spot after you’ve powered it off, saving what’s left of the battery for when you’re able to dig out your phone charger.
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
Toji holds the door to his house open for you, bracing his hand on the small of your back as you cross the threshold to a surprisingly tasteful living room.
“What?” You can hear the smirk in his voice, the shock must be written all over your face. “Expect a futon couch and a mattress on the floor?”
“M-Maybe..” You rub your neck with a sheepish look, managing a small chuckle as he leads you down the hall to what you assume is the room you’ll be using. “Something about unmarried men and the lack of dining room tables and living out of laundry baskets.”
The drive over had taken longer than you expected, he lives on the edge of the city, the houses given more space than what you’re used to from your apartment in the city. But it had given you the opportunity to partially acclimate to his overwhelming presence. All you had to do was not look at his face… easy.
“I did have a wife.” He hums in thought. “The art of furnishing a house isn’t lost on me… Anyway.. This one is you.” He flicks on the light as he enters the spacious room, moving until he gets to another door, turning that light on too, the cocky humor back on his face by the time he turns back to you with a playful glint in his eyes.
“You have your own bathroom… shower head’s detachable.”  He tacks on, watching you empty your overnight bag, setting your night clothes out before you turn your phone back on and get it attached to a charger.
“That’s not- I wouldn’t-” A shocked squeak flies from your throat as your eyes widen in embarrassment.
“Your face is…” He howls in laughter. “Absolutely priceless. My room is down the hallway, last door on the right. In case you need me.”
“I-” His tone drips with innuendo, making the blush on your face deepen to a shade of crimson. So much for not thinking about him inappropriately.
“So innocent, sweetheart. You’d think you’re still a virgin.” You watch in mortification as your future father-in-law leans cockily against the door jam to your bathroom, your mouth opening and closing, urging something to come out, an explanation, a lie, anything. Just something to make him not make fun of you. “Oh my god… you are. Even when you’re engaged to my son?”
“He…” You wring your hands together, your voice barely above a mumble, looking down at your engagement ring in confusion, as if it could tell you the Toji’s lying to you. “He said he wanted to wait until w-we were married. That he’d wait…”
He never said that it would be his first time, you realize. As quickly as your embarrassment comes, it's replaced with a low, burning fit of rage that’s ready to lash out.
“Wait! You thought Megumi was a virgin?” He snickers meanly. “That’s fucking rich, hun. That ship sailed in fucking high school.”
You listen, shaking with the anger that’s boiling inside of you, as he describes Megumi’s relationship with a girl named Himari, how he walked in on them more than once.
Your mind starts to spin in circles, fueled by this rage that has nowhere to go. As insufferable as Toji is about this, you find your anger can’t be directed at him. It's Megumi that lied to you for the entire duration of your relationship, not his father.
As your mind circles, every insecurity that you’ve had about your relationship that you so easily dismissed before bubbles to the surface one by one. He’s always working or volunteering somewhere. The apartment has just become a place that he sometimes sleeps, if he ever makes it home because he travels around so often. He even said he didn’t like his father. Admittedly, you can see how they would clash, but was that it? Or did he just not want you to meet Toji so his cover wouldn’t be blown?
Toji approaches you, leaning into that delicious anger to purr in your ear. “I could show you what you’re missing, sweetheart…”
Your body doesn’t flinch as your eyes slide to meet his gaze directly for the first time. You nod ever so slightly in consent, your breath uneven from the anticipation that’s built in your core from when you first saw him.
“I’m going to need a little more than a nod, swe-” It’s the spite that pushes you to kiss him first. Spite that doing this will hurt Megumi has much as he hurt you, and spite that if you have to hear Toji call you sweetheart one more fucking time you’d explode.
The groan you swallow from Toji as he presses against you wipes any doubt from your mind as you press against his broad chest to push him to the guest bed and crawl up his body to grind yourself into the bulge in his pants, hungrily seeking out his lips again.
“Eager little virgin, aren’t we?” He growls as he yanks your head back by your hair, baring your neck to him so he can nip at it. The lack of marks there by his son is a further invitation to take you for himself.
“Ah-! Mr. Fushi-” A whimper escapes your mouth as he carelessly shoves a hand beneath the band of your leggings and panties and you squirm to pull away as his fingers immediately shove past your entrance to scissor you open.
“Uh uh. That’s enough of that shit.” He bites a harsh mark into the juncture of your neck, grinning when you cry out with a mixture of pain and pleasure, fat tears welling in your eyes and spilling over, your core spasming around his digits he continues to bully into you. “I’m not fucking stopping until your dripping, sweetheart. I’m going to have you crying that its too much and I’m not going to fucking stop. Even if you beg.”
It stings, the foreign feeling inside of you, but that feeling is quickly replaced by a rapidly approaching orgasm. You can take him, you think as you reach down between you to palm him through his sweatpants. You’re ready for anything he could give you.
Your efforts leave you breathless and end with you managing to work his pant’s down his legs as he rips your leggings from your body along with your panties.
“Fuck-” He growl as you take ahold of his length and line him up with your entrance as you hover above him. “You better slow down or you’ll hurt yourself.”
“You’re too cocky for your own- oh fuck-” You hiss as you allow the head of his cock to breach your entrance. The sting returns and flares into white hot heat at your core, making you double over into his chest as each inch rips its way into you. Your hips rock needily into him, trying with desperate circles to work yourself open.
By the third circle of your hips, Toji loses his patience. His hands reach out to grapple your hips, using his momentum to flip the two of you before he thrusts violently into you, fully seating himself before pulling from your heat to slam home again.
“Broken in now, aren’t you?” He growls, slamming into you a few more times before the sting completely abates, making sure you really feel what he’s taking from you. “Took what you wanted like a greedy fucking whore. Now shut the fuck up and be thankful I’m giving you my cock.”
He pulls out of you to manhandle you until your chest is laying against the covers, wasting no time before he’s hauling your hips back into where he kneels behind you, entering you roughly again and setting a punishing pace.
“You take me like a trained bitch.” He pants, grunting as his hips slap against yours, sending the vibrations straight to your clit as you sob into the duvet. “You lying about this being your first time?”
You don’t answer, your face planted into the covers from the angle he has you bent into. Toji growls in annoyance, gathering your arms behind you to pull you up against his chest before his free hand snakes around your front to deliver a harsh slap to your center, ripping a scream from you.
“Go on slut. Answer, daddy.” He slaps your clit again and you feel yourself gush around his length, pushed to the edge.
“M’not lying, Mr. Fushigur-” Another slap has you trembling, fresh tears pouring down your cheeks as you build impossibly higher. “D-Daddy- M’not you just f-feel s’good. I’ve b-been wet since you showed up.”
“Greedy little thing’s so ignored by Megumi you have to result to fucking his dad?” He coos down at you condescendingly, degrading you further. His voice takes on a cruel tone as he starts circling your clit. “How are you going to explain to your precious fiance that you’re carrying his brother?”
“W-What- n-no T-Toji you c- shit!” You cum suddenly around him, the image of you leaking his cum banging around your head until you're clamping so hard around him you’re pulling his orgasm from him. Shivers wrack your body as you feel the ropes of his cum pump into you and leak from where you’re connected.
The two of you breathe heavily, your panting filling the room as you come down from your highs. In your haze you don’t notice Toji video taping his cock pulling out of your cunt or the cum that gushed out in its wake before playfully slapping your ass and walking into the guest bathroom to get you a towel.
You slump against the covers, wincing as you reach for your phone when you see the screen go off with worried messages from Megumi about being near his father. Followed by numerous missed calls with the same message, pleading with you not to stay with him. That he’d rush home tonight to help you so you didn’t have to stay there.
You scowl at the message, sending off something that gets right to the point.
<Who’s Himari?>
You decline the immediate litany of frantic calls, fully shutting off your phone and shuffling out of bed to join Toji in the bathroom. Maybe the shower could be round two… and if not, you’d happily sneak into the master bedroom to make that a reality.

iii. three: you could die
viscountess silva is insane for the many things she love. this includes music. she once spent a whole month without leaving their home to finish two piano sonatas of her own when she was ten. lance had to trick his sister that benedict has mentioned missing her dearly for her to run out from the four corners of her room.
which brings us to the current view of two debutantes by the piano at the bridgerton's house. raine has provided a piano arrangement to francesca, which shall act as an accompaniment to her violin. francesca is a great musician all on her own, so the only thing left to do for the young silva is specify particular things in the flow, such as the heaviness of a chord or the softness of the adagio.
both turned when footsteps from two people graced the room.
"welcome back," raine greeted, "how was the promenade? it must have been great seeing as you spent the whole morning."
"you weren't there?" eloise asked as she plopped down on their couch, picking up the book she left under the table.
"i would have been if i knew ben was present." she replied, listening to francesca's playing at the same time. with the mention, an idea came to her and she immediately went to their hall.
she peered back at the drawing room for a warning before continuing to the hall, "oh, and i suggest do not go into anthony's study."
seeing the man upstairs, she called with excitement, "ben, let's spend the day together!"
"i am attending an art exhibit." he answered in a muffled sound as he pick a new coat from a room.
"great! we are attending an art exhibit." she declared with glee and the man immediately peered at her from above, leaning on their balustrade.
"you do not like art."
"i am a passionate enjoyer of music, literature, and sculptures."
he raised a brow with a smirk as if to challenge, "it's a painting exhibit."
"i—"
"you once told me my painting is rubbish and full of messy lines." benedict insisted, descending the stairs as he fix his cuffs.
raine groaned at him seemingly holding a grudge, "i was a child."
he narrowed his eyes at her as he reach the floor, and his next words made the young girl close her eyes with a hand on her forehead, "you are a child."
"for heaven's sake, do not say that again. i have been asking to marry you. it sounds weird.
benedict laughed at her realisation, "it is."
"just say no as you normally do instead of whatever... mortification this is." she said the last part with utter disgust.
"you can come," he stated, nearing her as he offered his arm for her to take, "but promise to keep your mouth shut."
"you know i can never keep—"
with the bridgerton boy looking pointedly at her, the young silva stopped her words right away, putting a cheeky smile on her features and slinging her arm on his.
━━━ ✦ ❘ ☽ 【❖】 ☾ ❘ ✦ ━━━
"geniuses," raine whispered in awe, looking at the painting intricately, "i do not understand it at all, like where to put the shadow or the color grading as a whole."
"you have not tried your hand at it."
she turned to him, feigning offense, "ben, do i look like i don't try to do random activities? you have seen me fail miserably in soap carving."
he chuckled at that as they continue to walk and gaze on the other painting, arms still linked, "you were so bad at that."
they stopped in front when benedict recognized a familiar painting, "this one is by a mentor from the academy."
she scrunched her nose and squinted her eyes in an attempt to understand the importance of the painting, "it's just a naked woman."
"it's just a—" he turned to her with an irk, "it presents the divinity of women's bodies!"
she nodded with nonchalance, "if you say so."
"i'm starting to regret bringing you with me." he stated monotonously, as if a sudden realisation.
raine laughed at that, slapping his arm lightly, "i'm just annoying you."
"oh, it's working very well." he replied with jest as they continue onwards.
the viscountess might not have been a great follower of paintings, but she does appreciate all artworks. it is beautiful enough to know that a person created something, despite being created himself. and so, she was naturally curious to see all works in the exhibit, looking around as they walk.
"you know, they say paintings make people feel something."
the man beside her nodded at that, "joy, grief, shock, sadness, empathy..."
"these don't make me feel anything." she revealed with a pout on her voice.
benedict rolled his eyes at that, "you hate paintings."
"i do not hate it," she defended, followed by a curious tone, "why is yours not here? you made a wonderful one when you were at the academy."
"these painters are experts and have been painting for more than my life. my art fails in comparison with these, raine."
they stopped in front of a painting that features a lady in the forest. benedict was taken by it, while the girl in his arm was taken by him.
"i like yours."
he warmly smiled at that, keeping his sight on the painting across them, "because you like me."
"i do," she admitted with no diffidence, "and maybe it's because of that, but does it really matter?"
she stated with normalcy, as if it was expected, completely clueless of what her words are doing to him.
"i like yours anyway, artsy."
"bridgerton," a man called out, making the pair turn to him.
"lord granville," benedict began in recognition, turning to the silva to introduce them.
"this is lady silva. raine, lord granville. he—"
"owns an art studio, right?" she interjected with a chuckle, "we've met."
"under very awkward circumstances, might i add." henry said in a suggestive, yet secretive tone.
the said awkward circumstance is most certainly not when the young silva took it upon herself to disguise and go about the city, dressed as a poor lady and a cloak hiding her features. she accidentally ran to a man. they talked for a really small bit before he proposed she join him in his art studio as a model because her proportions are perfect according to the tiniest snippet of her shape he could manage.
seeing as they seem to be friends, she took a step back with a reassuring smile to allow them their privacy, "excuse me, gentlemen. i shall take a turn around the exhibit."
putting her attention back to the paintings, she walked considerably slower now. just as she loves sciences, her curiosity for arts is of quite near the same level. it still annoys her to no end that she cannot paint, even with a gun pointed to her head. out of all the arts, it really has to be painting she fails—the art that the man she's interested with excels so much.
so, she would like to take this time to study the works of others. even if she cannot do it herself, at the very least she can resonate with it more.
hence, she walked, and walked, and walked, staring at each painting and not simply shrugging them in passing. each one has a person who was keen on feeling with it.
reaching deep inside the exhibit, raine somehow happened to be in front of quite a huge framed painting with no one admiring it.
the death of general wolfe
benjamin west, 1770
it was a painting of a battle. a victorious one, yet it did not carry an air of success. it was grieving. she knew she must have seen this in passing before. she recognized the man illustrated. if not, then this must be déjà vu.
as the artwork draw her in and in, she did not fail to acknowledge the presence beside her, now looking at the same frame in front.
"i feel something," she started with a small voice, "i'm scared."
benedict slinged an arm on her shoulder with a gentle rub—an attempt to offer comfort, "don't be."
he pulled her to him, a gesture that suggested for raine to lean her head on his shoulder, and she did.
wanting to ease the girl from any of her worries that he could guess by the paintaing, he jested, "no discredit to general wolfe, but your father is a lot better and skilled than him."
it was a very risky shot. he could have consoled and cheered her up by those words, or he could have just ruined a very intimate and emotional moment for her, appearing arrogant. good thing it's the former.
"you are slandering a celeberated general." she muttered as she blinked away her tears, standing straight again as benedict exhaled a breath in relief.
"look, it's so sad! it was the exact moment of their victory when he died."
he chuckled at her, "who was it that said she doesn't feel anything in these paintings?"
she slapped his arm as she turned away and proceeded to walk to another artwork with the last one still in her mind, the bridgerton following her in tow. they stopped for more paintings, laughing and arguing as they always do.
noticing that the sun is now coming down, they have agreed to call it a day, both entirely exhausted, yet satisfied of how the day went.
arriving in front of the silva's home, benedict walked with her to the door.
"do not go to your father with that gloomy face."
she rolled her eyes at him, pointing out the absurdity of his comment, "am i supposed to be happy after seeing such painting?"
he deadpanned at her, "that was already more than two hours ago."
"well, it stuck with me." she replied, feigning annoyance in her tone.
"lord silva will have my head, thinking i am the source of your grief." he joked to make her feel lighter.
"stop being so afraid of my father." she said mockingly as she turned to get in her home, it serving as a farewell cue.
she, however, stopped in the middle of their stoop when benedict inhaled before speaking once again, "anyways, i think gratitude is in order."
"what do you mean?" she turned to him with a confused brow.
"you—uhm... you were being supportive of my art—by insulting other paintings but we can ignore that part."
raine laughed at that. the man rarely thanked her for things. he must be dying as he said those words.
the young silva then smirked, "you owe me then."
"you are the worst person to owe to." benedict grumbled with a groan at the mention of owings. on the other hand, the girl was already busy in thinking of things to ask from him.
"i would ask you to marry me but the answer is quite apparent." the bridgerton nodded, still saying a reply of his own, "no, thank you."
suddenly, raine clapped her hands at once, fully turning to him again with the widest mischievous grin that's making him scared.
"surprise me. how about a kiss?"
he stared at her dumbfounded. su—surely not, right? now, for a good twenty seconds of utter silence, loraine's grin never faded. benedict racked his mind on what to do, his lips forming a thin line. he clicked his tongue at the thought that entered his mind. and so, when his feet walked forward without his conscious control...
...he did not know what he was doing.
and, he'll continue to say the same thing again and again, even when he's now only a step below her, raine conveniently just above his chin... as he placed his palm on the back of her head, prompting it forwards, pressing his tender lips on her forehead for a good number of seconds.
a forehead kiss.
and, he pulled away, immediately turning around to make his way back to the carriage, leaving the girl in an utter state of malfunction.
regaining herself back, she descended the stoop as quickly as she could, "ben, that was cheating!"
benedict laughed as he turned around before getting in the carriage, "go in, your father is waiting."
she was not able to say another word as he left, internally screaming now as she turned back to their home in a dance. her steps now has a lively bounce on it as she entered, certainly unmissable.
"why are you smiling widely like a fool? get dressed quickly. we're going to be late for the ball." armand directed, noting the jubilance of his daughter.
"i don't want to go to the ball." she stated in a singsong voice, hopping to her father and burying her face on him, "i want to spend time with you tonight."
he rubbed her back lovingly, "well, you could have informed me much earlier before i have spent time to look this good."
she pulled away from him, fingers still interlocked around her father's figure, "if i win in chess, i'll have your silver flintlock pepperbox."
"deal."
━━━ ✦ ❘ ☽ 【❖】 ☾ ❘ ✦ ━━━
at the arrival of another day, she did not spend any time staring at the ceiling at all. she jumped off her bed quickly. after all the morning rituals were done, which includes informing lord silva she'll spend the day at the bridgertons, the latter now find themselves in the presence of the young girl in their drawing room—herself spilling with exuberance.
"good day, my beloved bridgertons!"
raine greeted, eloise turning to her mother as she spoke, "she's read it, hasn't she?"
"look at the state of her." lady bridgerton added with a smile on her face.
"match of the season!" she exclaimed, moving to sit with the mother and daughter.
eloise put her book down as she deadpanned at the younger lady, "she also said you have been chasing benedict for years. chasing. raine, we do not chase men."
the newest lady whistledown issue has mentioned catching a sight of the pair enjoying the day at the art exhibit quite intimately.
violet shushed her daughter as the other completely ignored them both, "oh, i couldn't care less. i'll gladly do so if it's ben."
lady bridgerton was really happy at the sight of the young silva. beyond that, she feels so relieved that someone loves her son as purely as raine.
"men moving first are overrated anyways." raine added with a childish smile.
"they're at the garden, dear." violet informed, causing the girl to leave them with thanks.
nearing the table where four bridgertons busied themselves with a round of cards, she leaned on little hyacinth's chair.
"hello, darlings." she greeted for the two kids, "i hope you have the upper-hand against these two."
"of course!" the younger girl cheered at the appearance of the woman.
benedict looked at her strangely, "are you the one teaching hyacinth?"
raine grabbed a chair in between greg and colin, "don't be a sore loser. she's just that good."
"you lost to me." the second-eldest reminded.
"i did." she replied after she's settled on her seat, clasping her hands on top of the table and propping her head on it lovingly.
colin laughed at the total look of besottedness that the young lady is sending his brother, "i see, no one can ruin your mood now. i wonder why?"
"is it lady whistledown?" gregory frankly asked, eyes still on his set of cards.
she smiled and tapped his nose, "a point for you, young man."
benedict groaned as he put his own set down and looked at the girl across him, "oh, please stop your grinning in front of me. i can feel it."
"what? i'm just happy."
"you are always ecstatic."
"she called us the match of the season!" she exclaimed for the second time around—the ninth, actually, if we include the ones in her own home.
the man on her right interjected as he put a card down, "your ability to selectively read is astonishing."
"thank you, colin." she replied with a smile, completely not caring on their words.
"she said we could be the match of the season if i ever finally accept your incessant proposals."
"you are going to, right?" hyacinth asked, turning to her brother as she placed a winning card down, ending the round with her as the victor again.
"i—"
"excuse me, i must attend to something."
colin stood up, seeing a footman across the garden and knowing what it meant. on raine's other side, gregory grumbled as he put his cards on the table.
"hyacinth's cheating."
"i'm not!"
"show your hand." the young boy challenged. the youngest could do nothing but run with her cards on her hand. gregory followed right after.
"don't chase your sis—" benedict gave up as both kids are now far from earshot, "why does no one let me finish what i'm saying today?" he whined, taking a sip of water from his glass.
"we look like a family."
he sat up straight at once as he choked on his drink, leaving a bit of his garments lightly wet from the water.
raine turned to him, uncaring of what happened due to her words, "i'm asking this in genuine curiosity. how many children would you have?"
he let out a vexed chuckle as he wipe the droplets from himself, "that is not relevant."
she continued nonetheless, watching the two youngest bridgertons tumble and toss on the grass, "i would love five."
he closed his eyes, allowing himself to inhale and exhale, before turning to her with a sarcastic tone, "good to know."
he continued to dry himself, wiping here and there. he arranged the cards back on the deck and separated those that got wet as well. wondering with the sudden silence, he looked back up as he finish, only to find her staring at him with a poker face—quite fitting, with the cards and all.
he sighed, leaning back in surrender, "fine. three, i guess."
upon hearing that, raine beamed him an eager smile, "i can work with that."
benedict squinted his eyes at her, voice dripping with mockery, "i'm not having them with you."
she incredulously replied, "why ever not?!"
and so, the attempts of both children to snitch one another to the adults fell on deaf ears.
"why are we even calling for them?" hyacinth grumbled, looking at them as she and gregory stopped their tossing.
"he look so in love he doesn't even realise it." the boy sighed as he added. she turned to him with his quip.
"and how would you know what love looks like?"
gregory turned to his sister before gesturing to the pair far from them, "because raine looks like that at him, and she's in love with him."
"they look at each other the same way."

Merry Christmas, Doctor (Doctor Who Drabble)
Tumblr media
Tenth Doctor x GN!Reader / requests are open
Summary: The Doctor plans a Christmas holiday
Fic type: mild hurt/comfort
DW: @nyxiethesimp @quickslvxrr @midnight--raine @blueberry-sunshines @stevekempscocktails @go-bonkers-go-foolish @peytonpenguin37 @yeethaw13 @complimentary-breadbasket @thekirbishow @stilestotherescue @madspads @catlynharper@merrilark @jaziona92 (send an ask to be added to a tag list!)
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
You’d heard tales whispered from one end of the universe to the other, of course- the Doctor. He was a myth, relatively, but more and more tales emerged over time, and you’d heard gossip in the markets or in town halls.
But who was he? Did he exist? Was he real and did he really save all those people?
People over and over again from any and all corners of the universe whispered stories of heroics, damnations- a hero. The Doctor was a hero in almost all the tales.
You’d never even entertained the thought for a moment that you’d meet him. Which, in hindsight, would have been a good thing. Just like in the tales, he saved your town from a maniacal alien race hellbent on enslaving your planet.
He was everything in those stories and songs and more, too. But- to you, he seemed sad. He’d travelled here alone, and there had been whisperings of a human- or was it a flower? That had travelled with him for a time.
But this companion was nowhere to be seen.
When you’d approached him about it, there’d been a very real and very fresh flash of pain that wove through his features and disappeared under the seams again. He just smiled softly and replied-
“Oh yes, my Rose. My brilliant Rose. She’d be absolutely chuffed to know she made it into the songs, you know.”
He did his best to cover the hurt and the pain there, but you saw it anyway. You were well-attuned to that sort of thing, after all.
“I’m sure she would,” you answered truthfully. You knew better than to ask why his Rose wasn’t with him, but you couldn’t help but wonder.
“Think I might go back and see her for Christmas,” he added, seemingly mostly to himself. “She’d love that.”
Something about his expression told you he wasn’t telling you the whole truth. It wasn’t that he just hadn’t seen her in a while, it was that he couldn’t. Another thing you could see was something that you shouldn’t bring up. Someway, somehow, she was out of his reach.
“Yes, you should go see her,” you smiled comfortingly, knowing the truth behind that wishful lie. The Doctor had grinned back, promised to deliver your love, and flown away in his little blue box.
And as he’d turned his back and closed the door to his ship, your fingers twitched- an essence of the Old Ones flowing through you and into the Doctor. Just a fraction of magic to ensure that they saw each other at least one last time.
“Merry Christmas, Doctor.”

Everyone on this kind of community wanted a closure with you and be your friends but just advice from me, you need to be careful whom you trust and befriended with because as I see here not all of them will have pure and clear intentions towards you, 2-3 people is having a feeling of envy, hate or dislike you and wants you to go down with the thrown you are owning but I don't think they can harm you because you are very witty individual, you are likely to ignore them rather than to deal them because you might be thinking it would be just a waste of time. But yeah, people will praise and love your works and it will be hard for them to let you go. These people will probably perceiving you as kind, gentle and light individual. Your head was hurting, your ears were ringing, the loud sound of mechanics happening around you wasn't helping. You slowly opened your eyes, taking the time to look around you. It seemed to be like an elevator filled with supplies, food and even animals.
Suddenly, the motion stopped in a loud thump before a red light started to flicker. You started to panic a bit, you were lost and couldn't tell how you arrived here. Above you, the ceilings opened and you thought you'd maybe have answers to your questions.
The sudden sunlight blinded you and you had to cover your face with your hands. You took a minute to analyse what was happening, people were chatting and it seemed like they were surprised to find you here. Your eyes were finally adapting to the light and you were able to discover the faces of the boys above you. You raised your eyebrow, surprised to find them wearing these types of clothes you never saw anyone wear anymore. You were even more surprised to find yourself wearing the same ones.
A man shouted, making you jump in surprise, and everybody stopped talking before a blond boy went down into what you heard was "The Box". You swore you heard this noun before. "Hi," the sandy-haired boy greeted you, holding out his hand for you to take. "Can you remember your name?" he asked with a quiet voice, it seemed like he was trying not to scare you.
Your eyes widened when you heard what he said, maybe you never heard of The Box, maybe you read about it. You took a time to observe the blonde boy. "What is your name?" you asked back.
It couldn't be true, it didn't make any sense. "Newt." Your mouth fell agape as you heard his name. Was it possible to teleport into a book? You looked more carefully at the boy and recognized all the descriptions you used to read about. You thought you were dreaming and pinched your arm to make sure you were truly awake. You felt the pain. It was genuinely happening.
After a minute you realised Newt was still holding his hand out for you and you finally grabbed it. When you were on your feet you took the time to look around you and saw four huge walls enclosing the square of grass you were standing on. "Welcome to the-"
"Glade..." you finished Newt sentence with a smile on your lips. The gardener shared a horrified look with who you recognized as Alby. The later asked Newt to bring you out of The Box.
Finally by everybody's side, you were contemplating the Glade, trying to find everything you read about. But before you were able to see more you felt someone grabbing your arm. "How do you know where you are?" Ably asked you. "What's your name? Why are you a girl?" he continued his questions more and more aggressively, visibly panicked.
"Um... it's a little complicated," you saw Newt making a weird face when you spoke.
"What's that accent?" he asked. He would be smiling if you weren't standing there when you shouldn't be. That's the thing. Being able to read in English was something, being able to talk without an accent was another.
"French," you said shyly. You were grateful they could still understand you but you felt a little dumb, standing there, in the middle of boys who either seemed like it was the first time they saw a girl- well it was actually- or like they wanted to directly throw you in the Pit without thinking about who you were.
"Do you know why you're here?" Newt asked and you shook your head. You loved the maze runner universe but it wasn't the best one Destiny had chosen to put you in. Your survival skills weren't the best they had seen.
The tall boy you reckon must be Gally talked, pulling you out of your thoughts. "That's not what matters Newt! How do you know where you are? Everybody forgets what they know when they come here!"
"I know," you said quietly, timid under Gally's gaze. It was legitimate to be freaked out by your weird arrival here. But the thing was you didn't know how you came here. You knew who they were, you even knew their future, this thought sent a wave of questions in your mind but it wasn't the moment. The last thing you remembered was reading a book. You dug into your mind to find an answer. Everybody around you was waiting for you to talk and you felt intimated.
Apparently, Newt could feel it because he sent everybody- except the Keepers- back to their work. The boys walked you to the Council Hall, they all seemed lost in their own thoughts. You awkwardly took a seat in front of everybody and bent your head down, even if you knew them you couldn't help but feel shy as they all watched you attentively. Alby finally started to talk. "First question. What's your name?"
"Y/n," you said, trying your best to hide your French accent, it wasn't the moment to lose credibility, you needed to be trusted.
"How much do you know about here?"
"A lot."
"How is that possible?"
"Um..." there was no way there were going to believe you, you didn't even believe your own words as you spoke. "Well- I don't know exactly how I came here but..." you tried your best to search every bit of information your brain held. "It will sound crazy, but... I-in my world you don't exist." The boys in front of you looked septical at your explanation for the moment. "I know you all but from books. In my world, the maze, the Glade, WICKED and all of you are just ink on paper." You shut your eyes, refusing to look at them for the moment, you were afraid that their faces would tell you they were going to abandon you in the Maze. "B-but I don't know exactly how I came here, what kind of magic bought me here but now that I am there, I may know the way out."
This caught everybody's attention and while you thought it was going to be an argument for you to stay and not be killed, it seemed like they feared your even more. "Really?" Alby asked.
"Yes," you said. "In my world, your universe has six books and right now you are in the first one," you took a deep breath, omitting the explanation with the sequels and novellas, this part was going to be complicated to explain. "You guys escape at the end of the first book. I read it multiple times, I think I can help you get out of here."
They didn't answer anything before Minho talked "How do I know if what you're saying is true?"
"Ask me questions."
"How are we getting out of here?"
"We can't until they decide we will. WICKED modify the sections every day. In the books, they escape when a guy named Thomas and a girl named Theresa arrive here but they have a special link with WICKED." You went on and on about everything you remembered, Ben's attack, Minho's night in the Maze, the doors staying open at night. You hesitated on talking about Gally's being stung and decided that there was already too much information.
They carefully listened to you, something asking you to repeat because of your French accent or demanding you to explain further some points. You didn't know for how long you talked but your throat was sore and you terribly needed to drink "Can I have water?" you waited for them to calm down and stop talking before asking your question.
Frypan left the room to grab you a glass and other Keepers decided to finally leave the room. It was just you and Newt now. "Are you okay?" he asked, he genuinely sound like he cared and your heart missed a beat and you nodded. "I think you already know everything but- do you want to discover the Glade?"
You nodded, this time with a smile on your lips, you couldn't believe Newt was standing in front of you. He was a character you loved and cared about so much, it seemed unreal.
You just had the time to receive your glass of water before you started your visit. Newt still took the time to explain everything as he would do with any greenie. Quickly the night fell and you knew what was waiting for you. The bonfire.
The idea made you smile and you started to think about Gally's drink, was the taste as horrible as you read about? You didn't have to think a lot because you rapidly found yourself with a jar between your hands. "C'mon Greenie," Newt said with a tipsy smile, "Drink."
When the beverage touched your tongue you tried your best not to spill it everywhere. It truly tasted disgusting. "What's inside?"
"Ah! They don't tell you in the books?" Newt smirked and you shook your head. "Then I won't tell anything. It's not like I know anyway." With your back against a log, you gathered your legs to your chest, resting your head on your knees. You breathe happily.
You couldn't express the way you felt but it was a peaceful moment. The sound of Gladers having fun, of the fire and the burning wood. Newt's laughter. He was the best part of all this.
He was making you feel comfortable, you weren't nervous at the idea of recreating what you read when you were by his side. You had to admit you had to resist the urge to just hug him. He deserved a hug so much.
"Newt?" The boy turned his head to look down at you.
 "Yeah?"
"You know in all the books I've read about all of you? You're my favourite character." You hoped you didn't sound weird but judging by the way his smile soften you were almost sure he was flattered by what you just said.
"Why?"
You felt warmth winning your cheek "Well, I think you're brave. I only know you from books but- after everything you've been through you're still kind to everyone." You unconsciously looked at his limp. You continued to talk about the comfort he bought you before your smile faded "You always try your best and- and I think you deserve a happy ever after. The best happy ever after." You felt your heart clenching in your chest as you thought about the ending he had.
Newt was looking at you with a gentle smile, touched by your words. It was a weird feeling to have a stranger understand you so much. You knew what your goal was now. It wasn't just to escape and join the Safe Heaven. You were going to save Newt.

you were in your living room waiting for your boyfriend to come home from training. he was taking longer than usual so you decided to get up and start making lunch for the both of you. pablo had been asking for lasagna the past days so you decided to give in and make it for him.
you got all the ingredients out and pulled out your phone to listen to some music while you cooked. everyone knew about your obsession with taylor swift so i wouldn't come as a surprise to absolutely no one the fact that you put your favourite album of hers on repeat, reputation.
...
lunch was almost ready when you heard keys in the door, indicating that pablo was finally home. you knew he was gonna head upstairs to put his sweaty clothes on the washing machine before coming to the kitchen.
"i want to wear his initial on a chain round my neck, chain round my neck. not because he owns me but because he really knows me" you were screaming out the lyrics when you fell a pair of arms around you.
"hi love" he turned you around in his arms before kissing your lips.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
today
today was your 19th birthday and you woke up alone in your bed. it was weird because today pablo had a free day and usually he would use those to oversleep with you, but it was even weirder that he was awake before you.
you decided to take a quick shower before going downstairs to try and find your boyfriend. but when you got out of the bathroom you saw pablo sitting in bed smiling widely at you with a cake and a bouquet of flowers in his hands. looking around your bedroom you saw that while you were in the showe he had decorate the room.
"what is all this?" you ask him while smiling back at him and moving forward until you were between his legs.
"happy birthday love" he answered you while grabbing your face and pulling you closer to him so he could kiss you.
"i love you, but you didn't have to do all this" you say pouting while kissing him.
"shush this is only the beginning of your day" he grabs something from his back and put it in front of you "here open it" he smiles cheekily.
you grab the velvet box from his hands and slowly open it, letting your mouth fall open once you realised what's in the box.
"did you genuinely think i didn't get the hint after the third time you played that song in the car, did you?" he grins as he sees you pull out a silver chain with a little P pendant.

                        ─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
you sighed softly as you sat in the interview chair, tapping your fingers against your leg as your hairstylist and makeup artist applied some last minute touches before the camera turned on.
your new single had been on top charts for the past couple months, your album was coming out in a few short weeks, a tour was on the agenda for later this year. everything felt like it was finally slotting into place.
your fans had shown an insane amount of support from the number of streams and pre-saves for your new music, everything career wise made you feel on top of the world.
personal life wise, not so much.
you had met tom awhile back, the two of you had instantly connected while he was filming the latest spider-man movie. you two had gone out on a couple dates, hooked up a few times, the usual.
he checked all the boxes. he was caring and sweet, he made you feel like a queen, and he made sure you knew just how special you were to him.
however, whenever he was around, you felt knots in your stomach. the nervousness would set in whenever he was near. whenever you talk, you’d feel like you were speaking nonsense. all the nervousness is what kept you from jumping into something with him, but he was adamant about waiting for you. he didn’t want anyone else but you.
he didn’t care if it made him sound desperate, didn’t care about the girls in his dms or the ones who would text him and ask if he was seeing anyone. he only wanted you.
the camera started rolling and the interviewer introduced herself, smiling to the camera before introducing you. you smiled and thanked her for having you on before she asked her first question.
“so, ‘nonsense’ has been a huge hit,” she started, “you sing some very, risqué, lyrics, while also talking about how this certain someone makes you feel. did you pull inspiration from real life to write this?”
you nodded, “yeah, i did. i mean, you know that feeling you get when you talk to your crush? the kind of feeling that makes your insides melt? that's kind of how i feel with this person, every time.”
she smiled, “do they know they make you feel that way?”
you nodded, letting out a soft chuckle, “they do, yeah.”
she continued with the next question, “so, fans have speculated that the song is about tom holland, and you guys have been spotted out and about over the past couple months. are they right?”
you shook your head, palms sweating as you thought out your answer, “they’re all so creative with their speculations, but no, it’s not. tom and i are just friends.”
she tilted her head, “really? i mean, so many people have put compilations together of the two of you together and it seems like there’s some real chemistry brewing there.”
you smiled politely, “yeah, no. he’s really sweet, but we’re just friends.”
you felt the knots in your stomach again as you talked about him. just the thought of him made your stomach erupt in butterflies, how were you supposed to be together?
the interview was over after some more questions about the album and tour. you walked back to the dressing room, grabbing your things. as you scrolled through the missed texts on your phone, only one stood out to you the most.
tom: you were great ❤️
you smiled softly, going to reply, but your thought were interrupted when your manager walked in the door.
“the cars here,” she smiled, “ready?”
you tucked your phone back into your purse, “yeah,”
you walked outside of the building, saying hi and greeting some fans who waited outside. you took pictures, signed autographs, but the only thing on your mind was that text.
you pulled your phone back out as you got into the car, the driver heading back to your apartment building.
y/n: thank you ❤️
your fingers hovered over the keyboard, contemplating sending what you were thinking. you didn't understand why you were so nervous around him, why everything he did made your heart race or why he made your tongue go numb like all of a sudden you’re speaking gibberish.
none of it made sense, but then again, did it really have to? wasn’t the whole point of falling in love with someone about risks and growing together?
it was, right?
wanna get dinner tonight?
you locked your phone as soon as the ‘read’ popped up at the bottom of your message. you nervously bounced your leg, trying to fight back the urge to say ‘never mind’ as you watched the city life outside the dark tinted window.
your phone buzzed twice in your hand and you hesitated before looking down at the message on your lockscreen.
thought you’d never ask
meet at your place around 7?
you smiled down at your phone, your manager looking over at you as she spoke up, “nice job dodging those questions about tom earlier. i know how important your private life is, we want to keep it that way.”
you nodded, typing back your response before looking back at her. desperately trying to steady your heartbeat.
sounds good, spider-boy ❤️
“yeah,” you sighed, “i mean its not like i completely lied to them. we are just friends.”
“friends who hook up and get dinner on sunset?” she asked with a raised eyebrow. you sighed as she giggled, “i mean, i know there’s something brewing, anyone with eyes does, but why wait?”
you shrugged, “he just makes me nervous, almost like he’s too good to be true.”
“for as long as i’ve known you, if anyone deserves the ‘it’s too good to be true’, it’s you.”
you nodded, a soft smile on your face as the driver pulled up in front of your apartment building. you said your goodbyes, heading into the building and making your way into the elevator. you sighed, pressing the button for your floor.
maybe she was right. she almost always was.
the next few hours felt like the longest ever as you got ready. your hair was still styled almost perfectly from before, you touched up your makeup, and slipped on one of your favorite dresses. you felt good, and you looked good.
you were in the bathroom, applying some lip gloss in the mirror when you heard the knock on the door. you ruffled your hair one last time before making your way down the stairs and to the door, the clicking of your heels echoing throughout the penthouse.
you opened the door, smiling as tom stood in a dress shirt and dress pants. his sunglasses pushed back the curls that would normally fall in front of his forehead.
he looked so damn good.
he could say the same about you, though. his eyes traveled down your body as soon as you opened the door. he smiled as he handed you the bouquet of flowers from his grasp.
you thanked him and let him inside. he closed the door behind him and followed you into the kitchen where you were adding the new bouquet to the vase on the island.
“you look gorgeous, love,” he smiled as he took your hand. you laughed as he spun you around in a small circle, pulling you into his chest.
the smell of his cologne was embedded in your brain. after many nights of rolling over and smelling it on the pillows on the other side of your bed, or on one of the blankets on the couch he claimed was his, it smelled familiar. the feeling it gave you almost felt like home.
“so do you,” you grinned, “where are you taking me tonight, holland?”
“mm,” he hummed, “i booked a reservation for that italian place you like.”
you felt your heartbeat quicken as his nose brushed up against yours, “the key to my heart.”
he laughed softly, “seems you figured out what the key to mine is.”
you sent him a questioning look, “what’s that?”
“writing a song about me,” he smiled, “or, as you say, ‘about you and me’.”
you let out a chuckle, “you listened to it?”
“of course,” he playfully rolled his eyes, “it’s an honor to have a pop hit written about me, y’know.”
you hit his arm playfully, “stop.”
“stop what?”
“being so,” you trailed off for a second, “perfect.”
“you deserve nothing less, y/n.”
you felt the heat rise to your cheeks, and if he wasn’t holding you by the waist, you probably would’ve toppled over.
“you just make me so nervous,” you breathed out, “i’ve never felt this way about anyone else before.”
he smiled, “me either,” you returned the smile, “i know i’ve said it before, but i want it all with you. all the nervous jitters, the pillow talks, the dancing in the kitchen, all of it.”
in that moment, you put your nerves aside and let yourself give in.
“i want it all with you, too,” you mumbled, leaning closer to his lips. he smiled against yours as he kissed you sweetly, the both of you pulling away and erupting into soft chuckles.
your laugh grew louder when he picked you up, ignoring your protesting as he started up the stairs to your bedroom.
“what about our dinner reservation?” you laughed, fingers hooking into the waistband of his pants.
“you asked how quickly i can take my clothes off,” he said as he laid you down on your bed, “and there’s only one way to find out, love.”

EIGHTEEN: first impressions and revelations
Tumblr media
Warnings: mentions of mental health disorder, mention of self harm scars
Word count: 9k
Summary: Seonghwa meets Lunas parents, the meeting goes well until her mom accidentally causes a fuss. It forces Luna to open up to Seonghwa and leaves her feeling drained but someone unexpected offers their support during this difficult moment.
─── ・ 。゚☆: .☽ . :☆゚. ───
(A/N: this chapter will have a 3rd person POV towards the end. I want to start incorporating Ateez thoughts and actions instead of solely Lunas. I will switch between Luna and 3rd person from this point onwards. I would appreciate any feedback on this, good or bad so feel free to message me)
Tumblr media
Seonghwa and I arrive at my parents' apartment, laughter already echoing through the door from within, it dawns on me that a relationship isn't just about finding someone who fits perfectly into your life. It's about creating a space for each other, intertwining routines and quirks, and embracing the journey with open hearts. I felt like I could have that with the guys but I also knew I could never ever allow my feelings for them to develop into love or anything near that.
My parents' relationship began in a unique way, their bond forged through circumstances yet blossoming into true love. I grew up witnessing their resilience as they overcame every obstacle thrown their way - from my father's long and difficult tours of duty, to my mother's constant packing and moving with little notice. My mom making sure I had the best childhood she could possible give me. Despite their opposing views and frequent disagreements on most topics, their love is unbreakable and together they are an unstoppable force. I always dreamt of finding that same kind of love with someone someday.
The feeling of Seonghwas fingers tighten subtly in mine pulls me from my thoughts and I look up at him.
"Are you definitely sure we shouldn't have brought flowers for your mom?" he asks me and I can see a flicker of nerves in his eyes
"Absolutely. She isn't a big fan of flowers. She only likes them for decoration and not as a gift. Wine is always a winner with her and the chocolates are for my dad." I answer. "If you think I have a massive sweet tooth, you are about to see exactly where I get it from!"
"Should I refer to your dad as Major Lee?" he asks
"It isn't necessary at all. My dad is not old school military where he expects everyone to call him by his rank or even as sir outside of his work." I say "He is incredibly laid back so don't worry!"
With a steady hand, I reach up to the doorbell and give it a firm push. The door swings open a split second later with a gentle creak and my mom greets us with a warm smile.
"Oh hello!!" she says as if we have arrived unexpected and she hasn't been camped out at the door waiting for our arrival. "Come in, come in!" she opens the door fully and ushers us in. We slip off our shoes and enter the inviting space of the lounge, where my dad stands up from the sofa, his expression stoic. My mom joins him, her smile never faltering, while my dad's eyes scan over Seonghwa with an unreadable look. The air is filled with a mix of anticipation and tension.
I briefly look at Seonghwa who is holding eye contact but I can see he looks nervous. I introduce, "This is Seonghwa."
He greets them politely with a bow, "Hello, Major Lee and Mrs. Lee."
"You can just call us Sam and Eunbi," my mom responds with a warm smile. "Gosh you are more handsome in real life!!" she adds before hugging him suddenly. I can see he is caught off guard, I should have warned him she is a hugger. However I've never seen her hug a boyfriend ever! "You two look so cute together, with your couple outfits!" my mom says pulling back from Seonghwa.
"Not couple outfit, we just happened to be wearing the same colours." I say
"Well that just shows how in tune you are with one another!" she smiles widely
"Is that a box of chocolates I see?" my dad says with a small smile on his face, spotting the gift bag in Seonghwa's hand. He has a knack for detecting chocolate from miles away. I can see he is trying to remain in scary dad mode but with the prospect of his beloved chocolate he cannot keep up the facade and I have to suppress a giggle.
"Yes sir." Seonghwa replies, handing them over to him
"Seonghwa also picked out a bottle of wine for you, Mom." I say
"Oh you didn't need to do that! Thank you Seonghwa." she smiles at him "Dinner will be served soon so make yourself comfortable!" she adds
"Please, have a seat Seonghwa," my dad invites him to the decorated dining table, adorned with fresh flowers and flickering candles. My mom has gone all out for this dinner tonight!
With a gentle hand on my back, Seonghwa guides me to the table and pulls out a chair for me. I catch a faint smile of approval from my dad. It was one of his classic tests, something he's done with all of my previous boyfriends. He wants to see if Seonghwa is traditional and a gentleman, helping me sit before taking a seat himself. I didn't bother mentioning the test to Seonghwa. He always pulls out my chair for me, unless one of the other guys beats him to it. I had no doubt he would pass this test with flying colours.
“I've made a cottage pie, I hope that's alright with you, Seonghwa,” my mom says, looking at him.
“Of course,” he replies, nodding and remaining standing by the table.
“Oh, that's a relief!” my mom sighs. “I'll go check on it.”
"Take a seat." my dad nods towards him.
I know Seonghwa was waiting for my parents to sit first before he did. He takes a seat next to me and pulls his chair closer to the table.
“What exactly is a... cottage pie?” he leans in and whispers to me as my dad heads into the kitchen to assist my mom. His eyes hold a look of confusion, causing me to giggle. Unable to resist, I kiss his lips.
“It's minced beef mixed with gravy and topped with mashed potatoes. My mom adds carrots, peas and onions to hers. It's really delicious,” I explain with a smile. "You will like it!"
“Well that does sound delicious,” he responds with a smile of his own.
"My moms cooking is so good!" I murmur with a smile, nodding in agreement.
Seonghwa leans towards me. "If your moms cooking is anything like yours, I have no doubt that I'll love it." His lips meet mine in a sweet kiss, and I can't help but smile at the gesture. I respond with just as much affection, savouring the moment as his hand delicately cups my face.
"My wife and daughter have impeccable culinary skills," my dad's voice interrupts us, causing Seonghwa to jump back and letting go of me. My dad stands there, holding two glasses of wine in hand and a playful smirk on his face as he catches Seonghwa kissing me. Knowing how traditional Seonghwa is, I can see the blush creeping onto his cheeks.
I can't help but laugh as my dad's mischievous side starts to show. It's a good sign, but I'm not sure how Seonghwa will react to it during our first meeting. After all, my dad has a unique sense of humour.
His eyes twinkle playfully as he walks over to the dining table and sets down the glasses in front of us.
"Honey, don't tease the poor boy," my mom scolds with a grin while placing two more glasses on the table. "Seonghwa, please ignore my husband. He thinks he's funnier than he actually is."
"How dare you!" My dad gasps dramatically, clutching his chest. "I'll have you know that everyone at work thinks I'm the funniest Major on base!"
"Oh honey, that's only because they're afraid of you!" My mom lightly taps his shoulder. "If they don't laugh, you'll make them do 100 laps around the base."
"Well, I never!" My dad sighs theatrically.
I can see Seonghwa begin to relax a bit as he watches my parents' playful banter. But his shoulders are still tense. Under the table, I reach for his hand to give him some reassurance.
"Why don't you be useful and help me with the plates?" My mom suggests with a laugh.
"I can help." Seonghwa offers, standing up from his seat.
"You will do no such thing! You are a guest here and your only job is to eat and drink!" my mom insists, playfully pulling my dad's arm back into the kitchen.
"Sorry about that, my dad loves to joke around," I say with a smile as Seonghwa settles back into his seat.
"It's fine. I just felt a little uncomfortable that your dad caught us," he responds, sheepishly smiling.
"I know but don't worry about it. The fact that my dad is joking around with you means he likes you," I reassure him. "So don't feel awkward." I squeeze his hand before bringing it to my lips to kiss the back of it.
Seonghwas cheeks flush a little as he takes a deep breath and smiles back at me looking more relaxed. My parents start to bring in plates of food. We each have a large portion of cottage pie on our plates with bowls of vegetables, salad, rice and ramen in the middle to help ourselves to. I notice Seonghwas eyes grow a bit bigger at the sheer amount of food available.
"This looks delicious!" he says as my parents take their places at the table.
The aroma of my moms delicious cooking fills the dining room, making my mouth water in anticipation. It has been so long since I had her cooking. I glance at Seonghwa, and see his eyes shining with excitement.
"Well help yourselves!" my mom smiles gesturing to the food.
I notice her keen gaze fixed on Seonghwa as he takes his first bite of the cottage pie. He must be aware of her scrutiny, but he adeptly conceals it with a nonchalant expression.
"Wow, this is absolutely delicious!" Seonghwa's eyes widen in delight and I can tell he truly means it. He has always been a lover of food, savouring each and every flavour with an almost childlike enthusiasm.
"Oh I am glad!" My moms shoulders visibly relax as she takes a bite of her own food. I know she was anxious for Seonghwa to enjoy the meal she prepared for him.
As we all continue to enjoy our meal, the conversation flows effortlessly. My dad, always the entertainer, begins to regale us with a funny story from his younger days.
"So there I was, trying to impress your mom on our first date," he chuckles, his eyes glinting mischievously. I knew he was going to tell this story because he takes every opportunity he can get to tell it and honestly I love hearing it each time. "I took her to this fancy restaurant and thought I was being all smooth, ordering the most expensive bottle of wine on the menu. Little did I know that Eunbi couldn't stand the taste of it!"
We all burst into laughter, including Seonghwa, who seems to have loosened up even more.
"It wasn't that I couldn't stand the taste of it, I had just never had such fancy wine before and it was a little strong for me back then!" my mom laughs
"You have the taste for expensive wines now though!" my dad comments
"I certainly do!" she says winking and holding up the glass of wine we brought before taking a drink.
"And then after all that you friend zoned me!" he laughs looking at her
"I was the best damn friend you ever had!" she replies looking back at him
"3 years later she finally agreed to be my girlfriend." he says, "and we were blessed with our little Luna soon afterwards!"
As our conversation continues, I can't help but pay attention to every small detail - the way Seonghwa chuckles at my father's cheesy jokes, his genuine interest in my mother's work stories. It all seems to be going smoothly, and I finally let myself relax.
"Luna has told us a little about you," my mom says to Seonghwa. "I understand that you need a degree of anonymity with your job and she's been very respectful about that."
Seonghwa blushes at her words, responding with a grateful smile. "I consider myself incredibly lucky to be a part of Luna's life," he says humbly. I reach for his hand under the table. The familiar warmth of his touch brings a smile to my face as I gently squeeze back, grateful to have him and the other guys in my life.
"Seonghwa, how did you get into the industry?" my dad asks, his voice gentle and curious.
"Ah, well, it started when I was young," Seonghwa replies "I always loved music, and when I saw kpop idols on TV, I knew that was what I wanted to do. So I auditioned for different agencies until KQ accepted me."
"Your hard work has certainly paid off," my dad says, nodding approvingly. "Forgive me, I don't keep up with kpop these days. My three daughters are the experts on that." he laughs "Luna says you're group is successful internationally. That's quite an accomplishment."
"Thank you, sir," Seonghwa responds, his gratitude genuine. "I've been fortunate to find a great team who supports and challenges me. We're like family."
As I listened to their exchange, I couldn't help but feel a surge of pride for Seonghwa. His dedication to his craft and love for his bandmates was truly inspiring. I am proud of all of them and their hard work. I catch my moms eye, and she gives me a knowing smile. She understands how much this moment means to me.
The dinner has progressed smoothly so far, everyone enjoying the delicious meal my mom had prepared, the conversation had flowed so naturally and it was heartwarming to see that Seonghwa was fitting in so seamlessly with my family.
Out of nowhere, my dad breaks the silence with a serious tone. "Seonghwa," he begins, his voice holding a weight I can feel in my chest. "I have an important question to ask you." My heart starts to race as anxiety sets in at the sudden shift in his demeanour.
"Of course, sir," Seonghwa replies, his expression attentive.
“How serious are you about my daughter?” he asks
"Dad!" I interject, feeling mortified that he would ask such a personal question.
"I am very serious, sir," Seonghwa answers confidently without skipping a beat.
"We cherish Luna and only want the best for her. She has faced challenges with all our moving due to my job, health issues, and even moving to Seoul alone at 18 years old. I will always worry about her, regardless of how grown and independent she may be. I will do everything in my power to seek justice for her if anyone ever harms her or causes her the slightest bit of sorrow." My dad continues speaking. "But I trust you to take care of her, to protect her and ensure her happiness."
Seonghwa's expression softens, and he nods earnestly. His voice, laced with determination and sincerity, cuts through the air as he speaks. "I promise you, sir," he declares. "I will pour every ounce of my being into ensuring Luna's happiness and well-being. You have my unwavering word on that."
"Thank you, Seonghwa," my dad says with a smile, glancing at my mom who gives him a nod. "We approve of your relationship."
"I know that in this modern era, our approval may not hold much weight, and we're not exactly traditional people either," my mom chimes in, "but when it comes to the happiness and safety of our firstborn daughter, we take things seriously."
"I completely understand, and I also take it very seriously," Seonghwa responds, looking at me. "Your daughter means everything to me."
I can't help but smile at his words, feeling my heart swell with emotions for him.
“Wait until the twins meet you,” my dad beams, “They're going to adore you! We haven't revealed Luna's employer yet; mostly because Hyejin can be quite loud at times!" he chuckles along with Seonghwa. "But also because they are familiar with your band."
"Oh right!" Seonghwa smiles
"As a matter of fact, we took them to see you perform in London earlier this year. It wasn't until Eunbi mentioned it that I even realised Luna worked for you."
"Wow," Seonghwa says, his cheeks turning slightly pink. "I hope we met their expectations."
"Oh, you definitely did!" my mom joins in with a laugh. "They couldn't stop talking about it for weeks."
As the meal nears its end, I realise that tonight was a significant moment in our relationship. My parents' acceptance of Seonghwa was more than I could have hoped for. I know my mom will eventually figure out there is something more between us, but for now, I can relax.
After my mom practically pushes us into the lounge, refusing Seonghwa's offer to help with the dishes, I tell him it's best not to argue with them. We settle onto the sofa as my parents put away the dishes.
"Are you okay?" he asks me, his hand resting on my knee.
"I am," I reply, smiling at him and leaning in for a kiss. I feel his emotions through the touch of his lips on mine. "And you? My dad hasn't scared you off?"
"It would take more than that to scare me away," he reassures me with a grin.
As we sit on the sofa, our hands intertwined, I start to feel a mix of excitement and tranquillity.
"So, what do you think of my parents?" I ask, breaking the silence.
Seonghwa looks at me with a warm smile. "I can see where you get your kindness from," he replies. "They're genuinely caring people, and it's clear that they love you."
I blush at his words, feeling a rush of gratitude toward my parents. "I'm lucky to have them," I say softly. "And I'm lucky to have you too."
His eyes sparkle as he leans closer, his voice barely above a whisper. "No, Luna. I'm the lucky one." He brushes a strand of hair behind my ear, his touch sending shivers down my spine. "We all are." he whispers
I lean into his touch, feeling contentment wash over me.
My parents return to the living room carrying a tray of tea and biscuits, taking a seat across from us on the sofa.
"Would you prefer to have coffee Seonghwa?" my mom asks
"No, tea is perfect with me." he replies
"I assume my daughter has been trying to convert you all onto British tea!" my dad says. My dad knows me too well.
"She has been pretty successful in that sense!" Seonghwa smiles with a light laugh
The air was thick with a sense of warmth and comfort, like a warm embrace. But as my mom settled into her seat, I couldn't help but feel a subtle change in her disposition. The light in her eyes dimmed slightly, and the corners of her mouth turned downwards ever so slightly. A hint of worry or concern seemed to weigh on her mind, making me suddenly feel tense and uneasy.
"Luna, how have you been coping?" she asks me
My heart leaps in my chest as I know what she is referring to.
"I've been absolutely fine mom, you don't need to worry."
"Have you been taking your medication regularly?" she asks, concern evident in her voice.
Seonghwa looks startled by the sudden change in topic, his eyes darting between me and my mother. My heart begins to beat faster in my chest as I look at my mom and nod, replying in a careful tone, "Yes, Mom."
"Are you absolutely certain?" my mom persists. "Taking it every day, without fail? You know how crucial it is for your health to stay on top of that. With all the recent changes in your life - your new job, moving apartments, and a new relationship on top of all that - it would be easy for you to forget such things."
"Mom," I say with a strained tone, attempting to keep my composure. I plead silently with my eyes for her to stop her questioning. Seonghwa's concerned expression only adds to the pressure building inside me, and I know I need to reassure him too. As I struggle to maintain a facade of calmness, beads of sweat form on my forehead, betraying my true emotions. The air in the room feels thick and suffocating, like a pressure cooker about to explode. "I promise you, everything is completely under control," I finally manage to say, trying to sound confident.
"Honey, you don't want to end up in hospital again."
Seonghwa speaks hesitantly, his eyes shifting between my mom and me. "Is everything alright?"
"Of course," I respond, placing my hand on his arm in reassurance. "It's nothing to worry about."
My mom lets out a sigh, "Luna..."
Luckily, my dad senses the mood and jumps in. "It's okay, honey," he says.
But my mom won't let it go. "Sambeom, it's not okay!" she says, using his formal birth name. It's never a good sign when she does that. And when she calls me mine too it means things are really serious. "Younhas bipolar disorder is not nothing!"
I feel my chest tighten, my hands begin to shake as I anticipate Seonghwa's response to my mother's words and I find myself wanting to escape from the lounge and the awkward conversation. My eyes frantically scan the room, desperate for a way out, but I know deep down that I can't just run away from this.
"Mom, I really wish you hadn't said that." I say in English, my voice trembles.
"Why not?" she replies, turning back to look at me with furrowed brows.
"Because I hadn't told Seonghwa yet!" I reply, feeling more anxious than ever now that he is looking at me with concern in his eyes and confusion etched on his face.
But my mom, ever the worrier, couldn't let it go. "How could you not have told him?! Seonghwa has a right to know. How can he look after you if he doesn’t know?"
"Actually," I counter, trying to keep my emotions in check, "It's my decision when and how to share something so personal. And also, I can look after myself!! I don’t need someone else to do it for me!"
She questions, "Shouldn't your boyfriend know everything about you?"
"Mom..." I pause, unsure of how to respond so she continues
"How can you expect to have an open and trusting relationship if you hide important details like that from him? On what planet do you expect a relationship to grow when you can't even be honest with him?!"
I try to reply but nothing comes out of my mouth. I know my mom has the best intentions and is only concerned for me but I feel so angry at this moment. Telling Seonghwa I am bipolar was one thing but to question my relationship was another. As the tension mounts, my dad clears his throat and attempts to change the subject. "So, Seonghwa, tell us more about your life as a singer. It must be very exciting."
I struggle to pay attention to the new conversation, my mind consumed by the revelation of my secret and the vulnerability it has exposed. Seonghwa notices my distress and tries to comfort me silently by holding my hand, but I need some space. I pull my hand away from his grasp and excuse myself to the bathroom, quickly leaving the room before anyone can respond.
"Luna!" I hear my mom call out as I enter the hallway.
"Give her a moment, honey," my dad interjects.
As I close the bathroom door behind me I fall back into it. I look up and see my reflection in the mirror of the door. I look awful! The tears that had filled my eyes has smudged eyeliner and mascara. My face is flushed red. My appearance mirrored the turmoil within me, a dishevelled mess that I couldn't hide or fix.
“Fuck!” I moan quietly, sinking to the floor, my body heavy with frustration. I slide over to the bath and rest against it. I pull my legs up and place my head on my knees. My hands pressed flat against the cool marble flooring, providing some sense of stability amidst the chaos in my mind. I close my eyes and take slow, purposeful breaths, trying to focus on the sensation of the cold surface beneath me in an attempt to ground myself before I spiral further and let it consume me completely.
After 5, maybe even 10 minutes I hear a light tap on the door and I raise my head, startled out of my thoughts. "It's me, darling," Seonghwa's gentle voice calls from outside. "You don't need to open the door, but please just let me know that you're alright."
I lean forward to unlock it before moving back against the bath, pulling my knees up to my chest and wrapping my arms around them. The room is dimly lit, with only a small window allowing a sliver of light to enter. Seonghwa enters slowly, his soft footsteps barely audible on the tiled floor. He sees me sitting on the floor and quietly closes and locks the door behind him before taking a seat beside me. His long legs stretched out in front of him.
"You don't have to face this alone." He says softly. "You have the 8 of us right here with you."
As I listen to his words, my frazzled nerves start to calm down. His reassurance is like a soothing balm, but even with his comforting words, I can't shake the fear that my condition will impact our relationship, despite his promises.
I start to speak, my words hesitant and uncertain. "Seonghwa...I never intended to deceive you. To lie to you all."
He interrupts me, his voice full of reassurance. "You didn't lie at all."
The weight of my guilt hangs heavy in the air, suffocating me with every breath. My hands shake as I grasp onto my legs tightly, fighting back the tears that threaten to spill over. "I did lie, by omission," I finally choke out, my voice trembling with emotion. "You all made it clear from the beginning that honesty was necessary for this relationship to thrive, and I wasn't. My mom is right, if I can’t be honest with you all then this relationship won’t work!” I say holding back the tears.
Seonghwas head quickly snaps to look at me. “Darling, my feelings for you haven’t changed. I am not letting you go.” he replies, putting an arm around me.
“But…” I begin but he stops me
"I'm not upset that you didn't tell us; I understand why. You are an incredibly independent person, you made it clear to all of us from the start that you do not like being fussed over and you probably knew that we would do exactly that if we knew. All I care about is your safety and how you're coping with it on your own. Are you okay?" he says
“I am!” I confirm, letting myself lean against his body while still keeping my arms tightly wrapped around my knees. “I truly mean it. I’ve been diligently taking my prescribed medication and regularly visiting my therapist."
"That is good!" I can hear the smile on his face. "Does your therapy help?"
"It helps a lot! Remember when I said I was going to the karaoke room with my cousin last week?" I feel him nod in reply "I was actually at one of my therapy sessions. I hated having to lie to you all, but Hongjoong knew where I was. He has known for a while." I take the opportunity to look at him, hoping to gauge his reaction to what we are talking about.
"That makes me feel better knowing you weren't dealing with it all alone." he smiles softly at me
"I was planning to tell you and the others when I was ready. I swear to you!” I say as I slowly unwrap my arms from my legs and let them move towards him
He pulls me closer, and I allow myself to fully sink into his embrace now. "I know you would have," he says as his hand strokes my face. "You just needed the perfect moment, huh?" I nod silently, feeling grateful for his understanding. He kisses the top of my head, and for a moment everything feels okay. His hands move me so I am sitting on his lap facing him.
"My bipolar doesn't define me. Just like my allergies don't but it is a part of who I am." I say looking into his eyes "As much as I want to, I can't change that. It makes people treat me as if I am about to break or a child who can't do anything for myself, like manage my medication or keep on top of my condition." I look down as my hands rest on his chest, "I was scared that you would all treat me the same way or decide I am not worth it."
"I know, Luna," he says softly, his voice unwavering. I feel his fingers touch the tip of my chin, gently tilting my head to look at him "We would never think you aren't worth it. And I don't normally speak for the others but I will now because I am 100% certain of these words - none of us are going anywhere. I don't think any of us can imagine life without you in it now." The sincerity in his gaze brings tears to my eyes and I am overwhelmed with gratitude. I don't deserve such understanding and compassion. Leaning in, I press my lips against his, relieved when he kisses me back. We stay that way for a moment, our foreheads touching.
"I am sorry for leaving you alone with my parents like I did." I say with a small sigh.
He responds, "It's fine. You needed space. Your mom explained that when you get overwhelmed you need time alone to do a little reset." He takes my face in his hands. "Please don't be mad at me for what I am about to say next, but she does have a point. About the new changes you've gone through lately, I mean."
I pull back slightly to look at him, noticing the worry in his eyes. I lean in for a kiss to reassure him. "I'm not mad and of course she's right! She usually is but it just doesn't make her overbearing nature any easier to deal with." I say
"I can see that." he says softly "Do you want to go home now?"
"Yes, please. Anywhere but this bathroom floor. I'll speak with my mom tomorrow, when we're both in a better state of mind." I let out a sigh of relief that he understands what I need.
"I'll talk to your parents and grab your things. Don't worry," he smiles at me reassuringly. "I'll wait by the door for when you're ready. Take your time."
"Thank you," I smile back as he helps me up and stands up too. He kisses my cheek before unlocking the bathroom door and leaving. I look at myself in the mirror and groan. My makeup is smudged all over my face, making me look like a panda. I try to clean it up, but it's no use. I grab a makeup wipe from the counter top and remove most of it. Even though my face is still red and puffy from crying, Seonghwa has seen me look worse first thing in the morning and at this point of the evening I don't even care. I take out my contact lenses, which have become incredibly uncomfortable from all the tears.
As I go into the hallway I see Seonghwa and my dad at the front door. My bag and coat are in Seonghwas hands as he talks with my dad quietly. I can't hear what they are saying in their hushed voiced but they both have serious looks on their faces so I can only assume it is about me.
"There is my beautiful girl!" my dad smiles as he sees me and opens his arms. "It was lovely to see you both tonight." he adds as I sink into him
"Is mom okay?" I ask quietly. It didn't feel right leaving without saying goodbye to her but at the same time I didn't trust myself not to say something and inside there was still a bubble of anger in the pit of my stomach.
"Don't worry, she is fine! You two will patch things up when you are both in a calmer mood, just like you always do." he whispers into my ear. "Now make sure to text me when you are both safely home!" he add louder for Seonghwa to hear.
Seonghwa helps me put my coat on and my bag then we leave after my dad hands over a bag full of leftover food. As we walk out of the apartment building and into the cool night air, I feel a sense of relief washing over me. The tension that had built up between my mom and me is still there and will be until we speak properly, but for now, I feel a little calmer. Seonghwas hand clasps onto mine as we walk back to our apartment. In the dark surroundings of the night and without my contact lenses in, my vision is bad and I am relying purely on Seonghwa to guide me.
"Are you alright?" he asks with concern. "Your face looks like you're in pain."
"Oh no, this is just my 'I can't see shit without my glasses on' face." I reply
"What about your contacts?" he inquires
"I had to take them out in the bathroom. They were making my eyes irritated from all the tears." I explain.
"Darling, why didn't you tell me you couldn't see? Hop on my back and I'll carry you the rest of the way." he offers, moving in front of me.
"Aww, I appreciate it, but I'm fine!" I laugh lightly. "Just hold my hand tight and make sure I don't walk into anything like a streetlight or a plant!"
"Okay." he sighs, I can't see his expression clearly enough but the tone said it all.
He takes my hand in his again, guiding me gently as we make our way into the park. There is a peaceful quietness between us. Seonghwa leads me to a tree adorned with twinkling fairy lights, and in the soft glow, I can see his face a little clearly now. He pulls me into an embrace, wrapping his arms around me in a comforting gesture. I nuzzle into his chest, inhaling his familiar scent mixed with the crisp autumn air.
"I'm sorry you had to go through all of this," he whispers into my ear. "But just remember, no matter what happens with your mom or anything else in life, I'll always be here for you."
A single tear escapes down my cheek, and I cling to him with even more strength. "There's something else I need to tell you," I manage to say. He remains silent, giving me the space and comfort to continue. "I only found out about my bipolar disorder because... I did something really really stupid."
He speaks softly as I pull away from him, trying to gather the courage to tell him face-to-face. "You can tell me," he reassures me.
"I-I tried...I wanted to..." I stumble over my words, struggling to voice what's on my mind. "I'm sorry, I'm just... scared."
"If it's too difficult for you to say, then you don't have to. Our relationship won't change either way," he assures me again.
"No, I need to tell you, it is the least you deserve." I reply taking a deep breath. "I was in a dark place early last year - overworked, overwhelmed, exhausted, and incredibly lonely. I was missing my family, missing my friends. Due to the pandemic I was working very long hours then going home alone. Everything just felt like too much to handle and I didn't know what to do. I wished for peace more than anything though. Just wanted things to stop. I wanted the thoughts to stop." I sigh looking down, scared to look at his face. My eyes focus on a button on his coat as I continue. "My friends brother found me. He was dropping off some food their mom had made for their neighbourhood, she always made extra for everyones friends too so Minjun dropped mine off. He thought I was working that night so had only planned to leave the food in my fridge and go but I wasn't and he found me unconscious. He drove me to the hospital and stayed with me while they.... fixed me" I struggle to say the exact words. "I was soon transferred to the psychiatric unit for assessment, even then he stayed in the hospital building until my Uncle Jihoon and Aunt Soomin arrived 2 days later. They had been in Jeju Island with her family. I stayed in the unit for 5 weeks, during which time I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and started medication and therapy treatment." I can feel his arms tighten around me. "It is why I always wear a lot of bracelets or long sleeves, I don't want people to see the scars."
"Thank you for trusting me enough to share this with me," he says, his voice filled with empathy. "I can't begin to imagine the pain you've been through, but I want you to know that I'm here for you now."
A wave of pure relief washes over me. I hadn't expected him to be so understanding.
"Lets get you home!" he smiles.
─── ・ 。゚☆: .☽ . :☆゚. ───
The apartment is bustling with noise as we enter, now that more people are home. Mingi and Yeosang are engrossed in a game of Mario Kart on the sofa, while Yunho and Jongho watch them play.
“Ah, wasn’t expecting you two back so early!” Yunho smiles looking over at us
"We're all playing Mario Kart, you should join us," Yeosang suggests, eyes fixated on the television screen
I exchange a glance with Seonghwa and give a slight nod. To be honest, I just want to crawl into bed and sleep it off, but I know Yunho will start worrying if I do that. And Seonghwa would definitely be concerned as well, considering recent events.
“Sure.” Seonghwa says, his hand strokes my back gently.
Sitting in the middle of Yunho and Jongho, I catch a subtle exchange of looks between Yunho and Seonghwa. Suddenly, Yunho declares that he's going to make ramen for everyone. He leans in to kiss my cheek before heading to the kitchen, Seonghwa follows closely behind. My heart races with fear that Seonghwa might spill my secret to Yunho. He sees me looking at him, probably with a look of fear in my eyes and comes over to me instead, he surprises me by leaning down and planting a gentle kiss on my other cheek. In a hushed tone, he reassures me, "It's alright. I am just going to put the food in the fridge. Would you like some toast and jam?"
I shake my head, "Not hungry." I respond.
"Maybe a cup of tea and some chocolate biscuits?" He inquires.
"I'm fine," I say.
"Have some noodles at least, even just a little bit?" He suggests. I look up at his eyes and they look almost pleading-like.
"Okay," I reply quietly. There's no use arguing with him; I can tell he's determined to make sure I eat something.
Seonghwa runs his fingers through my hair gently before heading back into the kitchen. Jonghos body settles next to me on the couch, and I follow suit by bringing my feet up and crossing my legs. Mingi and Yeosang are still engrossed in their game as Jongho and I sit in silence, my gaze fixed on the coffee table in front of us. Tears begin to well up in my eyes again, and I let out a small sniffle that goes unnoticed thanks to the noise from the game as well as Mingi and Yeosangs playful banter with one another over who was in the lead. Or so I thought until I feel Jongho's hand slip into mine. I look at him, surprised by his sudden contact but also comforted by it at the same time. His eyes remain focused on the TV. My gaze shifts down to our linked hands as he gives it a gentle squeeze, our intertwined fingers hidden from view between us on the couch.
As we sit in silence, a sense of understanding permeates the air between us, offering an unspoken solace. I let my head fall against the plush back of the sofa and gaze up at the ceiling, trying to hold back the tears threatening to spill from my eyes. I decide to focus on my breathing. With each inhale and exhale, I can feel my body slowly succumbing to the tiredness. I feel the heavy weight of my head listlessly roll to the side and come to rest on something sturdy and warm. The faint aroma of Jongho's signature cologne lingers in my nose as my mind slips into a state of emotional exhaustion.
─ 。☆: 3rd person POV :☆。 ─
Jongho's gaze shifts down to his shoulder as he notices that Luna has succumbed to slumber, her form nestled against him in peaceful repose. He can see the gentle rise and fall of her chest as she breathes, her body completely relaxed against the side of his body. Unsure of how to proceed, Jongho takes in his surroundings - Mingi and Yeosang engrossed in their race, Seonghwa and Yunho bustling in the kitchen - before returning his attention to Luna, studying her delicate features.
Over the past few weeks, he has made a conscious effort not to stare at her. Which has been easier said than done when he wants nothing more than to look at her, wondering what she sees in him to want to be with him. His thoughts carrying away and convinces himself that maybe it's because of the others around him and he's just a small part of the package deal.
Whenever they are alone together, he becomes too flustered to even speak, let alone truly look at her. But now, for the first time, he can admire Luna's features without feeling self-conscious. He notices that her natural lip shape resembles a heart and she has light coloured freckles sprinkled across her cheeks, a little mole underneath her left eye and a tiny indent of a very old scar on her cheek. He takes this opportunity to fully take in all of her unique features. Jongho allows himself to sink into this moment, feeling grateful for the calm bliss it brings. That Luna feels safe and comfortable enough with him to fall asleep beside him.
As soon as Luna had sat down beside him, he could sense the tension in her body. The murmuring tone of her conversation with Seonghwa when her voice is usually animated even when being quieter, the way Seonghwa looked at her like he was concerned and then the soft sniffle he heard confirmed that something was bothering her. He couldn't just ignore it; he wanted to offer some kind of comfort to her. Without drawing attention or making her uneasy by asking if she was ok, he gently took her hand in his. For a moment, he was worried she might pull away, but when he felt her hand relax in his grasp and he knew she welcomed the support. Now she had fallen asleep on his shoulder.
As Seonghwa comes in from the kitchen holding some bowls of ramen he quickly noticed Luna on Jonghos shoulder.
"Is she sleeping?" he whispers, setting the bowls down on the coffee table.
"Yeah, she just dozed off suddenly," Jongho replies.
Seonghwa disappears into Luna's bedroom and returns with her favourite kuromi blanket in his hands. Mingi and Yeosang turn their attention to Luna as well.
"Is everything alright? With Luna, I mean." Jongho asks as Seonghwa gently lays the blanket over her as Yunho comes in with drinks.
"Yeah, she is fine." Seonghwa replies
"You sure?" Yunho asks, his eyebrow raising slightly
Like Jongho, Yunho had also picked up on her body language when she got home and the look in Seonghwas eyes.
"Yeah, she was just tired on the walk home. I think seeing her family after so long probably took a lot out of her." he explains, gently stroking Luna's cheek. "You know how we can get when we're away from our families for too long."
"Yeah, we definitely do." Mingi nods his eyes looking at her, "It must be harder for Luna though. Her family doesn't even live in the same country as she does."
"How will we get her into her bed?" Yeosang asks
"We can let her rest here for a little while. I don't mind sitting out of the next game, Seonghwa can take my spot. If she doesn't wake up within an hour, I can carry her to her room and one of you can help get her ready for bed," Jongho suggests.
They all agree with that plan. Seonghwa and Yunho sit down and they begin to eat and play. As time passes by, Luna remains sound asleep on Jonghos shoulder, not moving an inch and their hands still entwined. The room is filled with a hushed silence, broken only by soft laughter at the game antics and the occasional clink of utensils as they ate.
Finally Luna begins to stir, feeling a slight stiffness in her neck from the angle her head had been at. Her eyes flutter open, trying to take in her surroundings with her blurred vision.
"Hey sleepyhead!" Jongho greets her quietly with a gentle smile
Luna suddenly sits upright and looks at him, realising she had fallen asleep on him. "Sorry." she mumbles, her hand leaving his. "You should have nudged me to wake up!"
"It is okay, you must have needed the sleep." he says
"You want some noodles? We have some left over." Yunho says
"No thanks, I just want to go to bed. I have work in the morning." she replies yawning loudly "Oh sorry!" she covers her mouth, blushing lightly at how loud it was.
Yunho's hand caresses Luna's back, eliciting a small smile from her to him. He senses something is off, but he doesn't want to pry. At first he thought she was feeling uneasy about their night together but then remembered how she cuddled into him earlier as she waited for Seonghwa, kissed him infront of both Mingi and Seonghwa. While in the kitchen he had asked Seonghwa if everything was okay with Luna, he received the same answer as everyone else - she was just exhausted. And when Yunho discovered her sleeping soundly in the lounge a few minutes later, it seemed to confirm that. However, he couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to it, and he wondered if it had anything to do with the insecurity she had confided in him about the night before.
Yunho is pleasantly surprised when Luna turns to hug him properly. Seonghwas eyes carefully watch her, looking for any signs of feeling upset, as does the others. She stands up from the sofa with the help of Yunho and Jongho, exchanging hugs and goodnight kisses to each of the guys except Jongho. She wasn't sure if he was ready for that level of physical contact yet since he has only held her hand twice and then there was the near kiss in the kitchen the week before.
As she bids Jongho a good night, he reaches out and gently strokes the side of her head before she can turn away. His smile is soft and kind as he looks at her. The others begin to tidy up the lounge, taking the dishes into the kitchen, leaving them alone in the lounge.
"Sorry again for falling asleep on you." she says
"My shoulder is always available if you need it again." he laughs lightly "I hope you have a good sleep sweetheart." he adds moving his hand to cup her cheek delicately.
Luna feels her heart skip a beat at the pet name he has suddenly started calling her recently. Resisting the urge to hug him, she simple smiles and says "You too." before going to her bedroom. Unbeknown to her, Jongho was also holding back from pulling her into his arms and holding her tightly.
Luna smiles as she sees the large kuromi plushie Yunho got her on the bed indicating to her that he had put it in her bedroom while she was out this evening. Immediately she goes over to it and pulls it into her arms, lying on the bed. The soft fabric and faint scent of Yunho giving her comfort.
Once a few moments have passed, she stands up and prepares for bed. She follows her nightly routine of washing her face and brushing her teeth before selecting her pyjamas for the night. After glancing at her usual long-sleeved nightshirt she throws it onto the chair at her desk and instead pulls a vest top from her dresser. It is too hot at night for such a heavy material of the long sleeved shirt and tonight she just wants to be comfortable, not covered up.
She puts on the top and a pair of shorts before picking up the clothes scattered on the floor and tossing them onto the chair with the discarded night shirt.
A soft voice interrupts her thoughts, causing her to turn around and see Seonghwa entering her bedroom. He closes the door behind him before walking over to her.
"I just wanted to check on you before I go to bed," he says gently. "Tonight was a lot for you."
"It was, but I'll be okay Hwa," she replies. "I feel safe here... in my home with all of you."
"I'm glad this feels like home to you, because it is. And I think it's safe to say that we all feel more at home with you here too," he responds.
Luna moves closer to him and wraps her arms around his shoulders, feeling his warmth against her own body.
"Are you okay?" she asks. "Tonight must have been overwhelming for you too – not just my parents, but everything else that occurred. You had a lot of heavy information thrown at you."
With a serious expression, Seonghwa says, "I won't hide the truth from you." Luna takes in a sharp breath, bracing herself for whatever he is about to say. "I know it's a lot to handle, but all I want is for you to be happy and healthy. If you tell me that you have your bipolar disorder under control, then I will trust you. But please promise me that if you start feeling like things are slipping or not quite right, you will tell me or Hongjoong immediately." He leans in closer, looking into her eyes as she nods in agreement, her hand moving to the side of his head. "Promise me!"
"I promise you, Hwa. I will tell you." she replies firmly.
A look of slight relief washes over his face, causing his features to soften into a gentle smile. He reaches for her hand, carefully threading his fingers through hers and pressing a tender kiss against the delicate skin of her wrist. Normally, she despises any attention being drawn to her scars, but with him, she feels nothing but safety and acceptance. She knows that he sees and understands her past struggles.
"If you need anything tonight, just come to my room. Even if I am asleep, wake me up." he says looking back at her eyes
"I am sure I will be fine but thank you." she replies
Seonghwa smiles softly at her, nodding his head in understanding before pulling her close and pressing a gentle kiss against her lips. Their breaths mingle in the air between them, warm and sweet.
"All right, then," he whispers back. "Let's get you tucked into bed."
Luna nods as Seonghwa helps her lie down on the soft, cosy pillows of her bed. The sheets are cool against her heated skin but comfortable. He hands over the kuromi plushie, smiling fondly at it as she wraps her arms around it while he pulls up the blankets over her, taking care to make sure she's snug and warm. He tucks a stray lock of hair behind her ear and leans in close again to kiss her forehead.
"Goodnight, Luna," he whispers, stroking her cheek with his thumb as he pulls away from her slightly but not letting go of their entwined hands.
"Goodnight, Hwa," she replies softly, her voice barely above a whisper too.
She watches as he switches on her fairy lights, turns off her bedside lamp and makes his way across her room to her door. He gives her one last smile before leaving. She yawns and closes her eyes, as she hears the others quietly making their way upstairs to their respective bedrooms. Tonight didn't go as planned, however Luna knew one thing for certain - she felt lighter knowing she wasn't lying or hiding something from one more person in her life but hoped the time would come soon she would feel ready to tell the others, and that they will be as understanding as Hongjoong and Seonghwa have been.

This is the unintended sequel to “To Rule The Roost”.
⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⊰⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅∙∘☽༓☾∘∙•⋅⋅⋅•⋅⋅⊰⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅
I had worked at the Gryphon Rider Tower for over a month now and every time I got up on that breeding saddle, I was excited. I had forgotten my ambition of becoming a griffon rider myself and had found a new goal of being ridden by the magnificent beasts. The first time I had been mounted had been a delightful surprise, even though I had been scared.
The flight master Trall took good care of me. Making sure I was ready for each encounter, always staying with me when the beasts mounted me, observing carefully from his chair.
I was grateful for him.
My predecessors had only been able to do their job once a week, unlike me, I was capable enough to be bred daily, sucking in each egg those beasts shoved into my gut. When the other workers removed them, I honestly felt a little bit sad, but at the same time, I was eager for more.
The sun had just risen above the horizon when I woke up and got ready for the day. My endeavors had helped the Griffon Riders catch up with their annual breeding schedule, but the spring season was almost over and I had to do more. Today I would have to take the final two griffons, one by one, one right after the other. Such thing had never been done before and it had made Trall nervous, it looked like the flight master wasn’t keen on losing me or the eggs. During the first week, he had been the one to make my body ready for the large cocks the griffons had, but after a while, I got ready on my own to save time.
╭ᑎ╮
This morning was no different. I washed myself and lubricated the artificial phallus the flight master had given me. It wasn’t as large as the griffin shaft, but it helped me open up. Sunlight from the open window colored the stone walls of the bathroom bright orange as I sat in the tub, pushing the large object inside. Each fingerbreadth felt good, making me moan from pleasure. My eyes closed and stroked my hardening cock with my other hand as the phallus disappeared inside, slightly making my flat belly bulge from the size of it. It safely inside, I began to rub my hard nipples moaning louder and louder. Without me noticing, Trall had entered the room and stood by the door frame, enjoying my squirming in the bathtub, gently rubbing his groin.
The heavy human did not know I was thinking about him at the moment. He was in my fantasies, I wanted to be squished under his big belly as he hammered his fat cock into me. Heaving over my much smaller body.
Along with my gasp, my seed mixed with the water and I opened my eyes, seeing Trall standing there. My eyes widened with joy as I saw him. He had stopped rubbing himself, hiding his bulging member with one hand, slightly embarrassed by the action.
“Good morning, flight master,” I said wearily from my tub.
“Morning,” Trall replied and took my towel and robes from the hook on the wall. He brought them to me and sat on a small stool next to the tub.
“Are you ready for the day?” he asked, his fingers gently brushing my cheek.
“Of course, aren’t I always,” I answered, as I felt the object beginning to slide out from my hole, I quickly grabbed it and pushed it back in. My sharp gasp seemed to arouse Trall even more.
“Alright, but I have some bad news,” he mumbled, moving his thumb over my lips, “There has been a problem with the last box, it’s not working.” Trall sounded serious, yet there was a hint of concern in his voice.
“The box is not working?” I asked.
The boxes were enchanted trunks made to keep the eggs warm enough during the transportation. If the temperature dropped too much, the female griffons could not fertilize them.
The flight master groaned “We don’t know why and we don’t have time to fix it before the next shipment. You have to carry them to the other griffon tower.”
“You mean…” I squeaked, looking directly into his eyes, “How can I do that?”
“We already use you to get the eggs, you can carry them for us,” Trall replied with deep concern in his eyes, “It’s going to be rough, but it has been done before unlike the thing you’re going to do today.”  Trall’s thumb gently pressed against my chin as he spoke.
“...But it takes two days to get there,” my shivering voice refuted, “I can’t keep them in for so long!”
“We have a spell for it. It will keep the eggs inside you, but you will be on a liquid diet for the duration of the trip,” he replied, shifting his hand from my chin over my lower back. Trall pulled me closer as his hand slid beneath the water, grabbing the object inside me by the base, and slowly pushing more inside. With my mouth open, he tugged me closer and shoved his broad tongue in, caressing my mouth from within. Each shove from behind made me hit the cold edge of the tub with my hips. The water splashed as Trall quickened his movements, still muffling my cries with this tongue.
In a haze of pleasure, Trall forced me to come again, leaving me in a blissful state.
The flight master helped me to dry and get dressed. I walked behind him as we began to ascend the stairs into the breeding pen. In the chamber, he painted a magical symbol under my navel with a waxy brush, and as soon as it was finished, it glowed faintly.
“That will help you keep them inside,” he said before assisting me onto the sawhorse since my trembling legs made it hard for me to do it by myself. Like always, Trall stepped back as soon as he had strapped me in and rang the bell. It didn’t take long for the first griffon to appear, with a loud whoosh, it entered the pen from the large stone frame opening and observed its surroundings. It drew closer and closer, until it lifted its front paws, flopping its huge member on my back. It was heavy and slimy from the pouch fluids. The griffon took my leather-covered neck into its beak and began to prod my hole with the cone-shaped tip.
My morning routine worked and this time the shaft slid in with ease, filling my guts, pushing as deep as it could. The girth made my belly bulge between me and the saddle I sat on. With rough thrusts, the beast ravaged me from behind as Trall sat on his chair, watching my euphoric expression.
Loud beastly shrieks and my wails filled the hot air around us. My body sweat profusely from the sweltering desert air.
The beast finished sooner than expected and poured his goo into my tunnel, with it came the bulbous eggs, one by one bulging my belly more and more. The griffon pulled its long shaft out and flew away. I had seven eggs pressing against my walls, my belly bulging beneath. Trall walked to me, cupping my face into his hands, and looked straight into my hazy eyes.
“You did good. Are you ready for the next?” he asked gently.
In my fervor, I had forgotten I was supposed to be bred twice today.
“Oh, but I’m already so full..” I gasped puzzled.
“You can take more,” Trall answered back, he began to loosen the straps holding me down, giving my belly more room to expand. He walked towards the bell and gave me a questioning look, I nodded and he rang the bell the second time.
But the chime sounded different.
“I’ve been waiting for you to meet him,” the flight master smirked when suddenly the largest griffon I’d never seen flew into the chamber. The top of its head almost touched the roof and the pen was no small room. It was completely black from claws to the quills. Instead of shrieking, it let out a thundering roar.
“This is Uk’Omo and he is my steed,” Trall laughed with glee in his eyes, “You’re nothing but a cocksleeve to him,” Trall came back to me thrilled, climbing onto the sawhorse from the front. The large beast stood behind me, due to its size it didn’t even need to lift itself up to reach me. It clearly waited for Trall to command it. Trall put his hands on the supports by the saddle and pulled himself so his waist was on the same level as my head. The black griffon took a step forward, placing my rear under his bulging pouch. Trall brushed my chin one more time before dropping his pants, letting his fat member hang right in front of me, hard as stonewalls surrounding us.
I felt the beast's tip pressing against my hole. It had to be larger than the ones I’ve had before, I thought, it felt like there was a small barrel trying to make its way inside. I gritted my teeth thinking how it was going to spread me wide open, hoping the magical sigil on my skin would help me to take it in.
Trall shouted a booming command and the beast behind me rammed his huge cock into me, forcing the eggs inside even deeper. My muscles spasmed from the abuse, my body flailing back and forth, only kept in place by the leather straps holding me down. My eyes teared up a little, but not from pain, even though I had never had something so large in me and had never been hammered so vigorously. As I let out a cry, Trall pushed his thick shaft into my mouth, reaching the back of my throat. Pounded from the front and behind, I was helpless.
Trall pummeled into my mouth with ferocity, sweat forming on his forehead. His fat belly helped to keep my head in place.
“You were made for this,” he huffed between the thrusts, “You’re my broodmare now.”
Trall’s taunts and the constant agitation made my cock harden, the prepuce revealing my tip between my swollen belly and the leather saddle. The thick veins on the griffin’s hilt were so large, that I felt blood rushing through them, letting me know what was about to come.
The black griffon hit its tip deep within and unleashed its potent load, the eggs forcing my guts to shift and make room for more. Expanding my belly more than it should be able to. The rod lifted my body slightly from the saddle as the last egg entered into me, the griffon pulled out with a loud pop and stood back as its master kept penetrating me. My body jolted as I came, making me almost bite into the cock inside my mouth. I had been gifted with ten more eggs, seventeen in total and it showed. I looked like I was heavily pregnant. Trall had loosened my straps before, but now I was squeezing against them again.
Trall forced me to open my mouth even more, almost thrusting his large balls in too. His bellowing roar echoed in the chamber as he blasted my throat with his cum. The sigil drawn onto my belly flashed and I could feel it pull the fertile sperm deep within me. Surprised, I tried to push the human away from me, stopped only by my restrictions. Trall’s ball spasmed against my throat as each pulse dumbed more cum into me. Finally, he pulled his now-hanging cock out and stepped down. Giving the black beast behind me a command to leave.
Not a single drop of his seed came out, all of it was deep within me as Trall released me and pulled me down from the saddle. Even though the eggs inside me were heavy, he took me into his arms and carried me back to my room, laying my weary body on my bed. He sat next to me and tenderly patted my protruding belly.
“The spell will also keep my seed in, marking you as mine,” Trall said to me,” Tomorrow you will leave with the rest of the shipment, but..” his words trailed off as he stared at me.
“I don’t think that was enough,” Trall said suddenly.
“Huh?” I mumbled, only for him to roll me on my belly, the eggs pushing against the coarse mattress, “It’s not enough,” he growled and got on top of me, undressing my hastily tied robes. Trall pulled his fat cock out and began to stroke it between my sore buttcheeks, his large belly pushed me down as I grabbed my pillow and bit into it. Licking his lips, Trall positioned his tip towards my gaping hole, giving himself a few good strokes before cramming it in. The bed creaked beneath us as his thrusts became faster and faster.
“Mmm, how can you be still so tight,” Trall huffed against my neck, “Beg for me!” he demanded with seething fervor.
“P-please,” I whimpered back, “Make me yours.” I gripped the pillow hard as his pummeling continued, sweat forming between our skins, his heavy weight neatly pinning me down. The large eggs pushed against my guts with each thrust, his tip hitting them, not letting him enter any deeper yet making his cock piston my tender opening.
Trall forced his thumb into my heaving mouth and I began to lick it, making him groan from the pleasure. The human thrusted hard, and his hot cum poured into my already-filled hole, his cock stirring the over-inflated gut. Completely drained, Trall collapsed on top of me, only shifting slightly to give me enough room to breathe under his large frame.
Trall kissed the back of my ears and whispered,
“Now you’re mine, and when you leave tomorrow, know that I will be waiting for your return.”
I let out a satisfied sigh.
“The griffin breeding season might be over, but I still have use for someone like you,” Trall muttered before he fell asleep. I stroked my belly, still feeling his seed inside of me along with the eggs I now carried. Gradually, my eyes began to close, and I drifted off next to Trall.

00:00 Hey, Livestock. What are you doing? That’s an awfully big box you’re holding.
[You’re glad to see him.]
You were looking for me? Why?
[You explain the situation.]
So Kou told you to give this box to me. I don’t remember sending him on an errand, though.
[You pass on Kou’s message to Ruki.]
“Just open it and have fun”? That sounds a lot like him, but he must be up to no good…  We should ask him what’s in the box first…
[You say you couldn’t find Kou anywhere.]
Ah, right, he said he had a film shoot today…  Oh, well. If the sender’s not here, we have no choice but to open it. Give me the box, Livestock. I was going to open it in my room, but if you’re curious what’s inside too, then come with me.
[You nod.]
Let’s go, then.
[The two of you go to his room.]
01:20 Sit over there.
[Ruki puts the box in front of you.]
Well, then. Let’s open it right away. For such a big box, it’s not very heavy. What could be inside? Wooden pieces of various sizes… and a lot of them, at that.  They look like they’re parts of something.
[You spot a letter inside the box.]
A letter? Kou must have put it in there. Let’s see.  “Here’s one of your beloved puzzles as a present. Have fun! Try assembling it together with her.” I see. So it’s a puzzle.
[You’re confused.]
Yeah, it looks different than a normal, flat puzzle.  Judging from the parts, the finished product must be three-dimensional. There’s no manual, either, but I wonder if it’s because Kou removed it, or there was no manual to begin with… Anyway, this may be just another of Kou’s whims, but we have the time.  Maybe I should assemble it.
[You say that you want to help.]
It does not look like I would need your help with it, but Kou said to do it together, so… If you’d like, you are welcome to try.
[The two of you start assembling the puzzle.]
03:03 Hm. My side looks like it’s coming together. How about yours?
[You tell him.]
Let me see it.
[You show him what you’ve got.]
That looks better than I expected.  If you’re worried about this part, I think it might fit here…
[Ruki helps you.]
You should try doing the rest yourself.
[You ask him whether he’s done this before.]
Not exactly. I have done a variety of 3D puzzles before, but this is the first time I’ve tried this type of puzzle. Not that I’m very particular about my puzzles, though…
[You ask him if he has a particular strategy.]
I have my strategies for each kind, but in the end, the process of putting parts together and aiming for the final product is the same for every puzzle.
[You say you have no idea what the puzzle is meant to look like.]
Right. I cannot picture what the final product is going to look like just yet, but if we just look at the parts even though we have no idea what to expect…
[You tell him that you should both try your best.]
04:20 Yeah.
[To himself] It would be a shame to spoil her fun by telling her the answer to the puzzle, but…
[You ask him if he said something.]
No, nothing. Besides, we won’t finish the puzzle at this pace. Less talking, more working.
[You agree enthusiastically.]
Heh. You’re curious about the final product, right?
The harder you work, the sooner you’ll find out what it is.
[You tell him you’ll work harder.]
Yes, you should. I will try to increase my pace, too.
05:06 Ah, it’s finished. When I opened the box and saw the parts, I already had a hunch, but… It looks like a small castle you might find overseas. I think we happened to see it on TV around the time when Kou was featured on a programme.  He must have remembered that you and I talked about wanting to go and see it in person. That must also be why he told us in the letter that we should assemble it together. Whatever his reason was… heh. He probably wanted to make us happy.
[Ruki incorporates your part into the puzzle.]
Look, your work is now part of the castle, too. You did really well considering you had no idea what it was.
[You don’t respond.]
You were so excited to see the final product, but your response is a bit underwhelming, don’t you think?
[Ruki looks down at you, leaning against his shoulder and sleeping soundly.]
06:05 Heh, I see.  You have some nerve using someone’s shoulder as a pillow while you sleep, Livestock. Oh, well. It’s past your usual bedtime, so it’s fine. I must have been engrossed in the puzzle as well for me not to notice you nodding off.
[Ruki picks you up, bridal style.]
However, if you sleep here, you’ll regret it later. You should just sleep on the bed.
[He carries you to his bed.]
You should have just told me you were tired… You worked hard and stayed up just to finish the puzzle with me. You didn’t make it to the end, though…
07:05
[Ruki looks at his watch.]
It’s about time. I should tidy up and head to bed, too.
[Ruki walks back to the table.]
I should hide the puzzle under the table for now.  I want her to see it tomorrow. I wonder how she’ll react.
[Ruki walks back to the bed.]
Hey, Livestock. Move over a bit. I want to get under the covers too. She’s so far gone she doesn’t even hear me…
[Ruki gets in bed anyway and squeezes himself beside you.]
What a foolish face. You must be tired from using your head so much.
[Ruki touches you.]
I wonder what kind of face you’ll make when you wake up tomorrow. Will you feel guilty for falling asleep before seeing the finished puzzle?  Or will you become shy when you wake up next to me? Anything is fine.  Your reactions are always something to look forward to. Ah, but when you see the finished puzzle, you’ll probably be ecstatic. You were looking forward to seeing it so much, after all. I want to see your happy face. I was having such a good time, uncharacteristically so. I might not be able to fall asleep like this. I’ll have to thank Kou later.
08:45 For tomorrow’s dinner, I’ll make him something he likes.
[You shift in your sleep.]
What, the mention of dinner does evoke a reaction from you? What a greedy little thing. Don’t worry. I’ll cook one of your favourites, too. You worked hard on the puzzle, after all.
[Ruki settles in for sleep.]
I’m looking forward to seeing your reaction tomorrow.
