Let's Donate:
linktr.ee/fundsforgaza
Overwhelmed by all the fundraisers? We have a new strategy to help you support Gaza. We've seen all the hundreds of fundraisers for different people in Gaza and it can be overwhelming. So we've created a LinkTree that currently lists the 6 fundraisers being prioritized for now...
What happens next? Once a campaign is completed, we'll swap it out with another one for another family. Our goal is that all donations flow to a targeted list of campaigns at any given moment to ensure they each successfully meet their target. [Two graphics: one shows a full bar and text reading "campaign complete"; another shows a partially empty bar with buttons reading "share" and "donate now".]
This means that you can share/visit this link at any time and it will have the current targeted campaigns. This will, you get less overwhelmed and each campaign gets full attention at its turn to meet its target.
Are the campaigns verified?
When selecting campaigns, we do our best to verify their authenticity based on our communication with the person and networks of personal trust, but we encourage you to read the details of each campaign to inform your decision of where to prioritize your donation.
People in Gaza need urgent funds for various reasons—such as medical care, food, or other items necessary for survival in the face of this genocide. You'll often see campaigns to help evacuate them through Egypt. The evacuation costs are high due to corrupt Egyptian officials who charge thousands of dollars for personal profit to permit someone to cross the border at Rafah. For many people, evacuation is the deciding factor between life and death, especially if they need urgent life-saving medical care.
How can I suggest campaigns?

April Fools day is a busy day in Gotham, you've got several themed rogues wanting to do something big to commemorate the day, and this year was no different. The Bats were spread so thin trying to deal with the Joker, the Riddler, Calender Man and the Penguin (unrelated to the date, he was just up to shit), that they never got around to any fun sibling pranks. So Stephanie has taken it upon herself to reschedule (not notifying the others though).
Stephanie is not cruel though, she wants to do a trick and a treat almost, one good dead to balance out each prank, so she makes a plan.
First up is Dick. She goes to their gym and applies a liberal amount of oil to every single surface she can find, before finally adding a thin coat of sticky wax to the basketballs. She watches through cameras as Dick slips off every single bar he tries to hold onto. The best is when he gets to the pummel horse and gets so much momentum that he slips off and out the open door. She and Babs then watch as, defeated, Dick tries to play a bit of basketball, only for the ball to not bounce off the floor and get stuck in the net.
She makes it up to him though, she contacted Hally's Circus (it's now under new management and touring in Florida) and managed to arrange for Zitka the Elephant to be brought over for the day. Dick cries at seeing the old elephant. Damian tries to convince Bruce to keep her.
Next on the list is Jason. In the middle of the night, with help from Cass, she dyes his white streak bright blue. He doesn't notice until he comes down for food and Dick gets excited that he's wearing Nightwing colours. He then walks around wearing his helmet all day, unaware that it says "kick me" on the back, in blue ink.
On Jason's bed, there's a VHS tape. When played, it shows the Joker's old standup work, before crime became his full gig. Jason has never laughed so hard before, not at his jokes, but at the booing. Oh my god, he bombed!
But for now, Steph moves onto Babs. Barbara has eyes everywhere, so Steph has to reach depths never before seen; she takes Jim Gordon's laptop, changes the system language to Dutch and all his passwords. Babs spends the full day trying to coach him through changing his passwords to something other than 'Barbara1' and how to use 2-factor authentication.
Barbara gets an anonymous email the next day. It's footage from a hidden camera in Jason's room. He's in a towel and singing ABBA off-key into a hairbrush. Worth it.
For Tim, Steph enlists the help of Kon. See the problem a panicked Kon brings to Tim is as follows: On a mission, Steph got hurt bad. She's woken up, but with no memory of the last 2 years. Now while this is worrying on its own, the true horror lies that, 2 years ago, Tim and Steph were dating. So now Tim has to try and let Steph down gently while his boyfriend watches on. Steph has to break character when trying to plant a kiss on him.
She makes it up to Tim. During her 'injury', Tim had brought her a Gatorade to drink, and she just happened to spill it on Kon's shirt. Guess he'll have to take it off!
Up next is Damian. She swaps his katanas with prop breakaway blades. He goes to practice only for them to shatter on impact. This is the first time Steph has seen him look so heartbroken. The best part is, he can't even threaten to cut her head off.
Forgiveness was easy, she simply opened the barn and the backdoor. Soon the manor is overrun with dogs, cats, cows, and demon-cat things. Even Zitka gets involved. Damian has spent the day in the library, practically drowning in fur and feathers.
The barn escape also serves as Alfred's prank as he has to convince Damian to let them go back to the barn.
When Steph presents him with an apron reading "Kiss the Cook Butler", he sheds a tear.
Now for Duke. This was simple enough to do: the entire family put lifts in their shoes. Duke wakes up to find that Dick, who insists he's 5'10" is taller than him. Duke was sure he was an even 6 foot, but he's now an inch or two shorter than Dick. What's worse is that Tim is the same height as him! When did that happen?????
Once Duke is sure he is not shrinking, Stephani procures a set of noise cancelling headphones. It is difficult to sleep at night when every other member of the family is nocturnal and unconcerned with making noise.
While Steph could never properly get the drop on Cass, it's the effort that counts. So she puts the squeakers from a dog toy into the toes of her ballet pumps. This takes an extra few days to be fruitful, but it is beautiful when Cass, with the grace of a swan, and the noise of a goose, leaps across the floor.
From working with Tim, Steph gifts Cass a small button that can attach to Cass's hand. A simple squeeze and the button will speak. "Idiot, stop it", a phrase too often spoken by Cass to her idiot brothers in the middle of their ill-advised plans. Now the process is streamlined. Cass takes to poking others with the button.
Now last, but not least: Bruce. Steph has been planning this, she phones up Vicki Vale for an anonymous piece. "The Truth About Bruce Wayne" is a headline that gives Bruce a heart attack. Luckily, whilst not revealing his identity, Stephanie has instead created a web of lies about how Bruce actually can't spell, can't drive a car, and is afraid of the dark. All gossip that Vicki Vale would eat up. Bruce is just glad Stephanie doesn't know about his college days.
The chaos in the house when Bruce comes home is bizarre, but having all his kids under one roof? He couldn't be happier. Even if Damian is hidden under Batcow, Jason is frantically googling how to get rid of hair dye, Dick is dangling upside down from an elephant's tusks, Babs is showing a video to Tim, who is definitely paying attention and not at all staring at a shirtless Kryptonian, and Duke and Cass are both squeezed under one set of headphones, listening to music.
In a week's time, Steph wakes up to every Bat and Bird logo drawn on her face, along with angry eyebrows and a moustache.

your dads rival!leto atreides headcanons were delicious what do you think about dads rival!nathan bateman?
Your Father’s Rival!Nathan Bateman
Would Nathan engage in mainstream, juvenile behavior simply to piss off his rival? (Yes. Yes he would) Notes: smut, a bunch of oral, language. it's naughty
Word count: 3k
The above^ mentioned Father'sRival!Leto Atreides hc's @reallyrallyauthor received similar asks (Father's Rival!Nathan) and you HAVE to read the thots and headcanons - they are amazing
Tumblr media
Everyone’s on Bluebook. Everyone. Except your family. Your friends never stop complaining about it. Your dad owns a less popular, less lucrative, but still - formidable social media platform, in addition to the rest of his business
And he hates Nathan Bateman.
He and Nathan went to school together-ish, briefly. Your dad was a superstar TA, about to finish his master's degree, when a sixteen-year-old freshman stole his spotlight. Nathan finished his two degrees and all his postgraduate work in two years,
Never got a doctorate because it was “boring.”
Your dad insists Nathan stole the idea for Bluebook. You just laugh at him. “Sure, he did, Dad.”
Despite your father's insistence to the contrary, you show up on Bluebook because you’re always in pictures with your friends.
One day your friend calls you absolutely freaking out. After a string of “oh my god oh my god's” she finally tells you that Nathan Bateman himself has liked her photo.
“Sure he did,” you deadpan. (Do you ever believe anyone?)
The next picture posted with you in it (by a completely different friend) gets a like from him. Then another, and another. One of your friends starts to put it together. Nathan has liked seventeen pictures by 6 different friends and the only connecting factor is that you are in each of them.
Then you get the email. “Nathan Bateman has invited you to join Bluebook.” You laugh. Sure it’s him. As if the reclusive billionaire plays middle school games.
But out of overwhelming curiosity and pure, college rebellion, you sign up before you can think too hard about it.
Your friends go crazy. “Look who’s finally here!” You get tagged in a hundred and one things…and Nathan likes every single one of them.
“Nathan Bateman follows you.” With the authenticated checkmark and everything. Your friends become obsessed. They follow every like, screenshotting and reposting like crazy.
Of course, by now, your father is livid. This is a betrayal of your entire family, apparently.
"You cannot give that man an inch," your dad rants, attempting to lecture you while you make dinner.
"What does that even mean?" You huff.
"He's using you to get to me," he conspiratorially rambles, pacing back and forth. "He's trying to destroy me. He's trying to take you away from me."
"He liked some pictures," you shrug, rolling your eyes. "Besides, he probably has like perfect models at his house every other weekend. He definitely doesn't want to take me anywhere."
An alert on your phone chimes.
Nathan Bateman. "Come to a party with me."
Oh shit.
"Who is that?" Your dad practically roars, fearing the worst. He is, unfortunately, correct in assuming Nathan is making a move. Or shit-shirring, whichever.
"Dad, I'm not answering that question." You fold your arms over your chest, tucking your phone out of his sight. "I'm twenty-two. Not twelve."
You lock yourself in your room and reply to Nathan, your heart pounding in your chest as you do.
"How did you get this number?"
"You signed up for Bluebook," He sends back. "I'll pick you up tonight at 10:00."
"Wait, tonight? Where are we going? What do I wear?"
"What you're wearing right now is fine. See you then."
What you're wearing right now.... is he spying on you?
You, of course, change out of your around-the-house clothes and dress in what you hope is passable party attire.
A limo arrives at 10:00 sharp to pick you up and you dart out the door, thankful your dad is already snoring on the couch. The driver opens the door for you, but the car is otherwise empty.
Your phone dings. "You changed clothes. I told you not to."
Your mouth drops open as you furiously type back, "You're really fucking creepy."
"Thank you"
You arrive at the nicest hotel in the city and are shuffled up to the penthouse. Nathan himself greets you in a white undershirt, thin gray joggers and bare feet. The shirt hugs his impressive muscles while the joggers highlight a bulge between his legs that makes your eyes linger.
"Jesus, that took forever. Should've sent the chopper."
He turns on his heel and walks inside, assuming you'll follow, which you do. Glancing around, you realize no one else is at this "party"
He plops down at a dining room table, pulls one leg up into his chair, grabs some chopsticks and continues eating a meal he started without you.
Noticing you standing there, stupefied, he motions to the chair across from him with his chopsticks.
"Are you fucking kidding me?" You scoff, folding your arms over your chest.
Dark eyebrows shoot up over his wire frames questioningly.
"I'm allergic to shellfish...and basically like the whole ocean."
(He knows)
"Shit," he laughs. "Better not post a picture of our date, then, or your father will accuse me of attempted murder."
“Date? This is supposed to be a party."
Before he answers you, he holds up his phone and snaps your picture.
"What the hell are you - "
Ding, ding, dingdingingngngngg before you can even finish your sentence, your phone blows up with Bluebook notifications.
Nathan Bateman has tagged you in a photo. It's you, standing here, now. Thank god you dressed cute, but the expression on your face could be better. Still, you've looked worse.
But it's the caption. My fucking hot date
Nathan grabs the phone out of your hand and silences it, making sure it doesn't vibrate either.
"You have notifications on? Desperate." He tuts condescendingly.
You snatch the phone back and whack Nathan on the arm. "You said party. Not date. Do you ever tell the truth?"
He shrugs. "Well...you are fucking hot."
Smooth. “Why…am I here exactly?”
He nods, shoveling more fish into his mouth. “I know you ate dinner with your dad, but those Italian subs you like are on the way if you’re still hungry.”
"Mr. Bateman, really - "
He snorts. "Mr. Bateman was my father."
You gasp in mock surprise. "You mean to tell me you didn't come out of a test tube?"
He motions at you with his chopsticks. "Where do you get that sense of humor? Certainly not from your father. I've never met anyone with less imagination."
"What do you want, Nathan? Assassination by shellfish?" You fold your arms over your chest. "No way am I worth all this effort."
"Nonsense, I've been orchestrating our meeting for some time." Finally he confesses. "I’m buying out your father’s company and I want you to convince him to surrender peacefully.”
You don’t even know where to begin. Your dad is selling? Nathan’s buying? “You would never need someone like me for something like that.” You call his bluff.
He insists he’ll make it worth your while.
“How?”
He shrugs. “I have a huge dick.”
Wha? “You’re disgusting.”
“Why? According to your porn history, you fantasize about riding a big dick. I have one. Your dad surrenders peacefully, you get to ride my dick.”
"If you wanted me to touch you, you shouldn't have covered yourself in deadly allergens. Dumbass."
He continues eating. “Your loss. Your dad will already think we fucked though.”
He’s right. Everyone will actually, after that picture.
“So you might as well at least get a hate fuck out of it.”
“I hate you,” you redundantly declare. You head for the door. He is way over the line.
“You’ll be back.”
The aftermath is absurd. Your father is enraged, your friends will not shut up about your “date” with Nathan (and demand the details about the alleged sex you had with him).
Nathan sends flowers. Tulips (your favorite) mixed with stargazer lilies (which you’re allergic to). 'Miserable without you' the card says.
Your father half seriously threatens to kick you out.
Nathan tags you on Bluebook, saying you’re going to Hawaii together, if you’ll stop being mad at him.
From there, interested people start a whole narrative online, quickly and easily convincing themselves that you’re together. He texts you for weeks (You text him back. He's funny) and even calls you sometimes.
One evening, his face appears on your screen - a call you didn't accept. "Why are you stalking me?"
"Did you pack for Hawaii yet? I sent some things over."
He's working out. No glasses. Tank top. Sweat. Muscles. Fuck, he's hot.
"Yes, Nathan, I got all twenty packages." With beautiful clothes and accessories exactly your size and style. Damn him.
"But you didn't pack?" He waves his hand dismissively. "Fuck it, I'll buy you new stuff when we get there."
You remind Nathan how he is trying to destroy your father's company, not to mention steal your inheritance, so there is definitely no way you're going to Hawaii with him.
"Come over then. No shellfish, I swear. I'll eat you out instead."
Holy shit.
You’re stupefied.
He groans.
“Are you going to stare at the screen or go outside and get in the limo? I’m waiting.”
This time, the limo takes you to a helipad. You reluctantly climb on a helicopter, briefly wondering if this is a corporate kidnapping or the first leg of your alleged Hawaiian adventure. After quite a long ride, you arrive at a well hidden, sprawling estate, tucked effortlessly into the side of a mountain.
It’s freezing, but Nathan waits for you in a light windbreaker and joggers, with bare feet.
You’re secretly thrilled that he’s waiting to greet you. He kisses your cheek almost affectionately, then turns on his heel and walks away. You follow, naturally.
Once inside, he motions to a gigantic vase filled with calla lilies. “Those are for you. My assistant sent you those fucking stargazer lilies. Well, former assistant. By the way, do you want a job?”
Your hands land on your hips. “You already tried to kill me with shellfish, so I just assumed stargazer lilies were the next logical step. And did you seriously just ask me if I want to be your personal assistant? On the heels of you stealing my inheritance?”
“My assistant made almost as much as your father pays himself before I fired him,” he scoffs, pushing his glasses up his nose with one finger. "I'm not touching your inheritance." He nods to a stack of papers. "It's all right there. Have your attorneys take a look."
Slowly you approach the table, tracing one fingertip over the beautiful calla lilies before reaching for the papers. You sigh, shaking your head. "You're talking about my dad's life work. He'll never agree."
Nathan shrugs one shoulder. "He said he would if I'd leave you alone. Never see you again, ghost you."
Your eyes go wide. "Then what am I doing here?"
He waves his hand dismissively, inching toward you. "I still have to eat you out."
✧ ---------- ✧ ---------- ✧ ---------- ✧
Nathan's thick beard and perfect lips have been nestled scandalously between your thighs for thirty-eight minutes. You've gushed all over him twice, in, hands down, the best orgasms you've ever had in your life.
Better than anybody before him. Better than your vibrator. And your other vibrator.
Your fingertips play with his fuzzy hair as your hips eagerly rock into his face again and again. Tears streak down your cheeks, pooling on the couch pillow under your hair. The overstimulation is like nothing you've ever dreamed - searing every nerve ending in delicious torture.
But you can't stop and he won't stop.
You thought he was fucking with you when he asked you to come over so he could eat you out. He hasn't even used his fingers - only his lips and tongue, stroking, licking, sucking, swirling, fucking up into you over and over. His thick fingers dig into your thighs, holding you in place while his thumbs languidly trace the sensitive spot where your ass meets the back of your thigh.
Body shuddering in rapture, you teeter on the precipice of another wave of pleasure tinged with the slightest discomfort skittering along your spine because it's just too fucking much.
"Nathan...Nathan," you breathlessly moan, halfheartedly attempting to push his shoulders away from your pussy.
He raises his head just long enough to meet your blissed out, watery gaze, smiling in satisfaction. "You're close, honey. Give me one more." And dives back in without a moment's hesitation.
"oh fuck..." incoherent moans and gasps follow as he suckles your clit between his lips so tortuously your back arches off the couch. His tongue joins, rapidly flicking your swollen bud as you shatter and gush, squirting all over his tongue and soaking his beard.
Your vision goes white and your body limply falls away from his mouth as he releases you, groaning with the satisfaction that his rival's daughter is underneath him, whimpering and squirting.
His cock is so hard it hurts and he's leaked through his thin joggers, rubbing himself against your leg while he got you off. Now, as you come back to yourself, he pulls his dick out and jerks it rough and quick, licking his lips at the sight of your glistening pussy that he can still taste in his mouth.
Your eyes flicker open to the sight of Nathan, pants pooled at his ankles, thick fingers wrapped around his dick. He was not lying. His cock is huge. Not comedically huge, like ridiculously, unfuckably huge, but definitely the thickest and longest you've ever had.
Not that you've had him. Yet.
Wetting your lips, you reach up to help him jerk off, which pulls a filthy string of curses from his lips. Pushing your fingers through his, you work up and down his shaft, bringing your other hand underneath him to cup his balls. He hisses and then groans as your tongue swirls over his leaking tip.
"If Daddy could see you now. Naked, on your knees, with my cock in your mouth. Fuck..."
You should be mad, or something. But you open your mouth wider and let Nathan push his cock all the way to the back of your throat, gagging as you swallow his tip. The most beautiful, dirty sounds you've ever heard from a man fall out of his lips as he thrusts a few times in rapid succession, praising and degrading you in the same sentence.
You can't breathe, tears burn your eyes, but through your cloudy vision, you can see his lips moving like a prayer, corded neck straining as he releases his hold in his dick and grips the nape of your neck, fucking your face, thrusting so hard you know your jaw will be sore for days.
You keep jerking him, fondling and caressing every bit of him that won't fit in your mouth. It's been a long time since you sucked a cock, and never one this big, but you keep taking it because he sounds weak for you and he's calling you his and telling you how good you feel.
Your mind fleetingly drifts to the safe word he gave you before he dove into your pussy: the one you shrugged off, as if he could possibly make you need it.
He scoffed at you. "Honey, if you don't wanna safeword tonight, I'm doing something wrong."
"Asshole," you huffed as he licked the first stripe between your folds, sending your head flying back and your mouth gasping.
You tap his leg forcefully three times and he instantly pulls out of your mouth as you gag and sputter, your weight falling forward. Bracing yourself on your hands, you drag in gulps of air, realizing that Nathan is above you finishing himself off, getting off on the fact that he's ruined you.
Hot spurts of come splatter across your bare shoulders and back. "Stay down," he orders, sent over the edge by the sight of you naked and on all fours. He unloads on you, painting your skin until he's spent. He flops back on the other end of the sofa, half naked, limp dick flopping as his eyes squeeze shut in bliss.
You're drenched in cum and sweat and your slick, filthy and somehow still wildly turned on. The thought fleetingly crosses your mind - that you wish Nathan would take your picture. Not to post, but it would just feel deliciously dirty to know he had a picture of your naked body, covered in his cum, that he could jerk off to.
"I should post a picture of you now," he lazily grins, reading your mind. "Really piss him off. Get banned from my own site."
You stand, hands landing on bare hips. "Are you going to mention my dad every time we fuck?"
He chuckles, standing to join you. "Have we even really fucked yet? Let's clean up. Our flight to Hawaii is in four hours."
"Hawaii again?" You gasp. "Nathan - "
"Look, you drive a hard bargain," he concedes, throwing his hands up. Reaching for his glasses, he kicks off his joggers off his ankles, now as naked as you. "Final offer: I'm already getting your dad's company. He's being fairly compensated. You still get your inheritance and you have generous stock in my company."
Inching forward, he reaches for the swell of your hips, pulling you flush against his muscled chest. "You get to ride my dick, you come with me to Hawaii, I get to post a selfie of us in bed together."
Your mouth drops open.
"Just from the shoulders up," he counters, before you can fire off a protest.
"I don't think I'm getting much out of this deal," you pout. "Your dick can't be that good."
"It is," he almost playfully assures you, nodding rapidly.
As you roll your eyes, he nibbles on your bottom lip. "Come on. I've never made this much effort for anyone."
"You hate my dad that much?"
"No. I want to fuck you that much."
"You're full of shit, Bateman."
"Smile." He snaps your picture. You dive for the phone, squealing at him not to post it. He has no intention of doing so, but attempting to wrestle the phone away from him is how you end up on his living room floor, riding his huge dick.
As your eyes roll back in your head while you're coming, Nathan smirks victoriously.

The EFTPS quarterly tax payment system got a login overhaul and no one warned me.
I tried to log in to EFTPS last night to pay my quarterly taxes and was surprised that they've revamped their authentication flow.
They now have three options for Multi-Factor Authentication, and I had to pick one and set that up before I could even get to the page to enter my EFTPS credentials.
The first option they have, PIV/CAC is only for federal employees, so that's not helpful to me.
The next two options for everyone else are login.gov and id.me.
I looked at both options and login.gov seemed easier to set up quickly (and they’re not a private company that collects biometric data), so I’m gonna recommend them.
If you like processes, I took notes on my steps:
1. Visit https://www.eftps.gov/eftps/
2. Click the “MAKE A PAYMENT” button
3. Wait for a new page to load with three login options
4. Click the “LOGIN.GOV” button
5. Wait for the Login.Gov|Treasury page to load
6. Click “create an account”
7. Enter your e-mail address
8. Select English
9. Accept the Rules of Use
10. Click Submit
11. Check your e-mail for a confirmation link
12. Load the URL from the confirmation link
13. Enter a secure password
14. Set up MFA with your preferred methods (app-dependent and out of scope for these instructions)
15. At this point, if you were quick enough, it might take you straight to the EFTPS traditional login page, which still requires your old EFTPS enrollment credentials. If not, head back to the EFTPS page and click MAKE A PAYMENT and use your login.gov credentials and MFA now.
I would strongly recommend setting that all up now, and not waiting until January 16th, as this will be the first tax deadline this system was in place for and we have no idea how well the servers can handle the load.
Until next time, y'all, this is Joe Hills from Nashville, Tennessee.
Keep quarterly estimating!

Tales the Songs Weave
Ch.5<< >>Ch.7
Notes: Miguel is enjoying your presence with each passing day. Realizations is slowly creeping through.
Tumblr media
Chapter 6: Tell Me that You Love Me...
Word count: 2.1K
Three weeks passed when you first officially hung out.
Six weeks when Miguel's “tabs” turned into genuine daily conversations ranging from text messages to phone calls that he never imposed on missing.
Nine weeks when things began to take a turn.
Over the course, you two have gotten closer. Miguel would sneak from his workstation over to your humble abode at any chance that was available.
It eventually became a routine, a regime. Wednesday nights were the ceremonial ‘hangout days,’ as you had every Thursday off.
And every Wednesday, Miguel had justifications on precisely why he should not be troubled on that particular day.
“I need to double check if the code for stabilizing dimensions is up to date.” Liar.
“I'm performing augmented machinery work for the portal watches. They've been malfunctioning for me.” Bullshit.
“I'm tired.” That was sort of true, but it never slowed him down before.
Whenever someone even attempts to debate or raise any doubts, he flares, defensively striking more so than usual. It became a phrase around the coven of Spider-people.
“Be careful; it's ‘Snappy Wednesdays’ for Miguel.” Would be telephoned throughout.
It vexed him to no end. If he wanted to remain unbothered, he should just be permitted to do so with no hassle. But no, it's never that easy for him. It was never easy until he crossed that threshold.
When he steps through your door, the stress and the unease lingers yet vanish. A strange balance.
“Are they still giving you hell about leaving?”
You poured the boiled noodles into a cauldron as Miguel was sprawled out on your couch, his sheathed claws harshly massaging his temples.
“Yes, and today was no better. I swear if I hear one more, ‘but are you sure you want to leave? It's a scary world out there,’ I'm going to lose it ¿Por qué tengo que ser uno para ponerlos todos? ¿Por qué me estoy plagando de estos idiotas?”
You peer up at the grouchy man and smile.
“I just don't understand why they're not used to it by now. I mean, maybe the first or second time it'll be weird, but the fifth or sixth? It's just a routine at that point. Or maybe that's just me. I can't speak for everyone.” You giggle, dumping the spaghetti in the meat sauce, and begin to stir.
“No, you're right. I just wish they would get used to it. Having to endure this shit is mind-numbing.”
You hobbled over to him with a giant bowl of pasta for him and a decent portion for you.
“Well, I hope there's some solace here. Even if it's just a smidgen.” You wormed your way right next to him before handing him his portion, crossing your legs on the sofa.
“Trust me when I say there's peace within these walls.” Miguel twirled the fork around.
“As peaceful as an apartment building can get, so a good forty-five percent.”
“Why so low?”
“Have you ever heard neighbors going at it in the middle of the night? I mean, they're certainly finding solace in each other! There's other factors, of course, but that's the biggest.”
A shared laugh broke out as you sighed in unison.
A comforting quietude rested; the only sounds being made were the clanking and clattering of the forks against the bowls.
“I've been meaning to ask, what's the name of the store you work for?” He filled in a little bit of space between you two.
“Huh, I never told you? I swore I did.”
Miguel shook his head.
“Guess I've gotten so comfortable around you, my brain assumes I did tell you.”
That rocked Miguel. You felt comfort in his presence? Was it an obligation or authentic? He disrupted that train of thought and briskly attuned his focus back to you.
“Alright, are you ready for the name?” You perched your dish on the table, relaxing your palms on your full belly.
“Sí, tan listo como siempre lo estaré. Go for it.”
“Adequate Antique Antics.”
Miguel's eyes flickered as his brain made an effort to process what you said.
“Adequate anti- what now?”
“Adequate Antique Antics. Bit of a tongue twisting mouthful, isn't it?”
He nodded in agreement, setting his bowl next to yours.
“Eso estuvo delicioso. So why did she name the store that?”
Your face heated at the compliment he gave you. He was just expressing that he enjoyed the spaghetti. Yet it made you giddier than how you normally would react.
“I'm glad you enjoyed it. And she didn't pick it–a family-owned business. You know how that goes.” Settling more onto the couch, minding the glass bowls, you prop your feet and free a displeasing sigh.
“She's been in a fight with her parents to change the name ever since I can remember. And oh my gosh, I'm still hearing about it until this day!”
Miguel blinked as he waited for you to continue. A week or so ago, he picked up on your facial expressions when you were done speaking.
And you clearly weren't.
“For nearly three and a half years I've been working there, she somehow manages to bring up the argument for the name every day without fail. And here I'm thinking I'm persistent, but my goodness.”
Miguel snickered at your heated explanation. “Ronnie sounds very vehement.”
“I prefer hard-headed. But that works too.”
You grin at each other as you pretend to readjust yourself, scooting closer to him.
“I'm weirdly tempted to meet this Ronnie and see what she's like in person.”
You blew a raspberry before flinging a hand over your mouth. You possibly got too comfortable around him.
Miguel lifted a brow at that reaction from you. He's never seen you do that before.
“Ah! I'm sorry. An atypical response I get sometimes. Just a slip of the tongue.” You cringed at the unintentional pun.
“I think it's adorable.” Now it was Miguel's turn to wince. The difference was that he hid it well.
You squirmed in your seat before mentally scolding yourself.
“Oh, thank you. That's very sweet of…”
You trailed off, gazing into his hypnotizing, vermillion eyes. Miguel returned the stare, taking in every part of your face.
Every inch, from your eyes, your nose, your lips, and more. How your skin gleamed–even if the lights were dimmed in your apartment, it still managed to make you shine ever so brightly.
Dazing back simultaneously, you both spun your heads towards the front. Your heart pounded so hard that even your stomach felt it. Miguel controlled his breathing, his cheeks heating up.
He couldn't. He shouldn't.
“Um, but yes, if you want to. Ronnie can be a bit of an intense menace, but she means well. Well, as well as one can mean.”
“That's how I feel about Peter.” Miguel grumbled. Even speaking his name causes him to instinctively grouch about it.
“From the stories you told about him, putting those two together under one roof?” You shuddered just at the thought of it.
“She can't be as bad as Peter.”
You gave Miguel a tentative look.
“It's that bad?”
You heavily nodded your head. “Minus the baby.”
“Funny how we both have someone who causes some sense of hassle.”
You gave a crooked smile. “It's a curse but also a blessing. Because at the end of the day, we know they just want the best.”
“For themselves?”
“Yes, but also in general. Though I don't fully agree with the methods she uses, Ronnie will always have my back. For example, if ever I need a day off for an emergency, I know I will receive it. Or when she told me I get every Thursday off. I was skeptical at first, but no, she kept her word. I only had to come in one Thursday because it was so heavily swamped, but I did not mind whatsoever. She goes out of her way to help me, and if she ever needs something, I'm willing to sacrifice to help her out. And I'm sure if you ever required anything, Peter would be there for you, and in return, you would do the same for him.”
Miguel could only gape.
“Heck, that even goes for us. Remember the first time you slept over? I told you I wouldn't let you suffer because you also helped me.” You laid your head back and stared at the ceiling.
“I personally like to think it's a give and give, with an occasional receive. Self-sacrifice? Maybe that's what I'm thinking of. I don't mind giving, but I'm also human, so if one is glad to lend more, then I'm going to return that favor, if not extra.”
“Some may see it as a beneficiary sort of deal. I helped this person out, so I should get something in return. Even though we humans are very reliant on one another in certain ways, some can use it for selfish needs.” You began to leisurely drum on your stomach.
Jutting up from your laid-back posture, you rotated your body toward him.
“I'm so sorry for the rambling. I hope anything I said made even a lick of sense.”
Your voice was slightly panicked before Miguel placed his hand on your arm, making sure to retract his claws.
“No, you're fine. I understood what you were alluding to.”
Your eyes landed on his fingers. They were calloused against your skin. He was always gentle around you.
“You aren't necessarily afraid to give and get nothing in return. But you're willing to go beyond and above for those who also have your best interests in mind.”
“Yeah! Wow, you summed up my spiel so easily. It might be that super duper smart spider brain.”
You giggled as his shoulders shook with a breathless laugh.
“Si. My spider brain is too highly advanced for many common people.”
You stared at him. He meant for it to come off as a joke. The problem was that his delivery was stern and dry. It almost sounded as if he suggested it as more of a statement.
He began to tighten until your face creased buoyantly. “It undoubtedly is for me. I'm going to assume jokes don't come easy for you?”
He slumped, and his jaw slackened. “I've been told I'm not funny.”
“You give me more sarcasm vibes than jokey ones. And I do enjoy a good sarcastic reply.”
You nudge him mischievously, garnering a joking eye roll.
You two carried on your conversation until, at one point, Miguel self-reflected while you went to the shower.
Miguel bit his bottom lip as his mind raced to the earlier conversation. He sacrifices, but does he self-sacrifice? He gives up so much for the others, but do they even acknowledge his efforts? He’s aware they won't do the same, but would it be different if it were someone closer?
It never crossed his mind how much he exactly does. The trillions that he's keeping safe. He's willing to let a few things go for them.
The one he truly wanted to keep safe is gone. He would be ready to give up everything just for her.
Miguel got startled as your voice sprang from the corner.
“You know what I was thinking–you should visit the antique shop! It would be fun to show you all the vintage items scattered!”
Sensing that there was something off, you sped over to him.
“Hey, is everything okay?”
Miguel bowed his head. “Yeah, I'm fine. Just lost in thought.”
“Well, if you ever wanna talk about it, just let me know, okay?” You rubbed his shoulder, kneading it some to relieve a bit of pressure. “Know I'm here for you.”
That smile. That tranquil, patient smile you give him makes his heart skip a beat. Those considerate sparkling eyes that have him believe things are okay, even if it's just for a split second.
Would he give everything up for you as well?
A string breaks loose.
He decided to not dwell on it anymore.
“What were you saying before you came in?” He smoothly switched the conversation.
“Oh! You should visit the shop. If you want to or have time, of course. We're open from nine until seven.”
“I'll try, but I don't know if I really can during the day.”
You swallowed your disappointment and waved your hand. “Remember, just an offer! I'll probably still be working there for the next few years anyway, so I'm sure we'll still get time in the future.”
He was shocked. You would still want to be around him? He doesn't believe he's particularly special.
And there are just too many wrongs within him that would turn anyone away.
“Yeah, I will see.”
You flopped yourself on the sofa as you proceeded to converse until Miguel had to leave.
“We will see.” He murmured, staring up at your apartment complex, and trudged away.

Siblinghood, Platonic Soulmates, or Romance
Analyzing the Relationship Between Ezra Bridger and Sabine Wren
In this post, I will continue from my previous one, having offered a simplified overview but delving into one of the most common criticizing talking points. Please remember that this analysis is from a writing perspective and my own experiences as I am an amateur writer. I welcome comments and reblogs with your thoughts.
For context:
1. Relationships in Star Wars 2. Explanation of These Three Types of Relationships 3. Female Characters in Relationships 4. Ideals and Themes in Star Wars Rebels 5. Ezra and Sabine's Relationship 6. Conclusion
-------------------------------------------
Relationships in Star Wars
Critics sometimes claim that certain types of relationships are overrepresented in Star Wars, but it's essential to remember that the franchise features a variety of relationship dynamics. Here are some well-known examples:
Siblinghood:
- Luke and Leia (twins) - Ahsoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker (no blood) - Garazeb Orrelios and Ezra Bridger (no blood) - The Son and Daughter (literal Force beings) - Sabine and Tristan Wren (blood relatives) - Maul, Savage Opress, and Feral (same planet)
Platonic Soulmates:
- Han and Chewbacca - R2-D2 and C-3PO - Boba Fett & Fennec Shand - Din Djarin & Bo Katan Kryze - Chirrut Imwe & Baze Malbus
Romantic:
- Han Solo & Princess Leia - Anakin Skywalker & Padme Amidala - Obi-Wan Kenobi & Satine Kryze - Kanan Jarrus & Hera Syndulla - Bail & Breha Organa
-------------------------------------------
Each relationship explained and how to write it
Siblinghood
Definition A sibling is a term used to describe a brother or sister, which means they share at least one biological or adoptive parent. Siblings are individuals who are part of the same family and are connected through their familial relationships.
Writing points
Individuality: Portray each sibling as a unique individual with distinct traits.
Birth Order: Consider birth order dynamics and how it affects their roles.
Conflict and Love: Explore both rivalry and support in their relationship.
Shared Memories: Use shared childhood memories to deepen their connection.
Complex Emotions: Show a range of emotions, from love to resentment.
Character Development: Use their relationship to drive character growth.
Realistic Dialogue: Make their interactions and dialogues authentic.
Backstory: Develop a backstory with shared and separate experiences.
Conflict Resolution: Show how they handle conflicts within the relationship.
Evolution: Depict how their relationship changes over time.
External Influences: Consider how outside factors impact their dynamic.
Platonic Soulmates
Definition The term "Platonic soulmates" combines two concepts: "Platonic" and "soulmates."
Platonic: In the context of relationships, "Platonic" refers to a non-romantic or non-sexual connection.
Soulmates: It's a belief that there is a special, deep, and sometimes predestined connection between two people that goes beyond ordinary friendship or partnership.
When you combine these concepts, "Platonic soulmates" refers to two individuals who share an exceptionally close, deep, and meaningful non-romantic or non-sexual bond. They may have a connection that feels almost destined, as if their souls are deeply intertwined, but it doesn't involve romantic or sexual attraction.
Writing points
Unique Bond: Highlight the exceptional and non-romantic connection they share.
Common Values: Emphasize shared values, interests, and life goals that deepen their bond.
Unconditional Support: Show their unwavering support, trust, and emotional safety.
Enduring Relationship: Illustrate how their bond withstands time and challenges.
Conflict Resolution: Explore how they handle disagreements with maturity and empathy.
Growth Inspiration: Demonstrate how they inspire personal growth in each other.
Non-Romantic Nature: Clarify that their connection is platonic, not romantic.
Emotional Depth: Dive into their deep emotional connection and comfort.
Shared Moments: Highlight significant life experiences they've shared.
Respectful Boundaries: Show how they respect each other's boundaries.
External Influences: Consider how external factors affect their connection.
Remember that platonic soulmate relationships are diverse and can manifest in various ways. They provide an opportunity to explore deep emotional connections and the profound impact such connections can have on individuals' lives.
Romantic
Definition In everyday conversation, "romantic" is often used to describe anything related to love, affection, or relationships. It can refer to someone who is inclined towards love and affection or to something that evokes feelings of love and beauty. The exact meaning of "romantic" can vary depending on the context in which it is used.
Romantic Love: Deep emotional affection, attraction, and passion between two individuals, forming the basis for relationships like dating, courtship, and marriage.
Romantic Relationship: A partnership based on romantic love, including dating, committed relationships, or marriage, characterized by emotional closeness and physical affection.
Romantic Gestures: Actions expressing love, affection, and admiration in romantic contexts, such as giving flowers, writing love letters, or planning surprise dates.
Romanticism: A cultural movement originating in the late 18th century, emphasizing emotions, individualism, and the sublime in literature, art, and philosophy, often celebrating nature, imagination, and powerful emotions.
Writing points
Chemistry and Attraction: Establish a strong attraction between the partners.
Character Development: Use the relationship to develop and evolve the characters.
Conflict and Tension: Introduce challenges to make the relationship engaging.
Communication: Show effective communication and miscommunication between partners.
Shared Moments: Highlight meaningful experiences they share.
Individual Lives: Balance their personal lives with the relationship.
Trust and Vulnerability: Explore trust and emotional openness.
Intimacy: Address physical and emotional intimacy.
External Influences: Include the impact of outside factors.
Conflict Resolution: Demonstrate how they handle conflicts.
Long-Term Compatibility: Consider their compatibility for the future.
Realistic Challenges: Create believable obstacles.
Romantic Gestures: Showcase meaningful acts of love.
Character Flaws: Develop imperfections in the characters.
Resolution: Provide a satisfying conclusion to their relationship arc.
-------------------------------------------
Girls in Relationships:
This section explores how certain female characters in Star Wars maintain their own identities while being involved in romantic relationships.
Padmé Amidala
Character: It might be considered a bold choice, but as Dave Filoni is known as the TCW and SWR guru, I genuinely appreciate Padmé's character. She embodies the spirit of self-reliance, often adopting the motto, "I'll handle it myself," when she witnesses suffering. As a compassionate and principled member of the Senate, she values diplomacy over violence, serving as a commendable role model by prioritizing dialogue and care for others. Her character shines brightest in episodes where she grapples with political conflicts.
Romance: Transitioning to the subject of her romantic involvement, Padmé and Anakin's relationship has sparked numerous discussions. Despite the uncertainty and occasional turbulence, there is genuine love between them. She envisions a future with him, refusing to give up on him even in the face of his inner struggles. Padmé recognizes Anakin's mental anguish and does her utmost to support him, though the complexities of their circumstances often double their challenges.
Ahsoka Tano
Character: Ahsoka stands as one of the most well-crafted female characters in Star Wars lore, undergoing significant growth and development throughout The Clone Wars (TCW). She evolves from an overconfident and naive child into a mature, thoughtful, and highly respected adult. Her journey is marked by substantial mistakes and profound realizations.
Romance: While Ahsoka experiences various connections throughout TCW, the most notable is with Lux. However, this romance primarily serves as a vehicle for her character development. Lux provides her with insights into the Separatists' perspective on the war and later the Death Watch. While Ahsoka does express interest in him, it's not in a deeply romantic sense. Instead, she's appreciative of the knowledge and experiences gained from their interactions.
Leia Organa
Character: Leia, our first main character introduction, immediately captivates with her compelling beginning. She's taken captive but never succumbs to fear, displaying strength and resolve. Her resilience shines through as she becomes one of the Rebellion's leaders, commanding respect from all quarters. She remains unyielding in her role, displaying a fiery temperament and quick wit reminiscent of her father, while proving to be even more resolute than her brother, a Jedi.
Romance: The iconic romance between Leia and Han Solo portrays the smuggler and the princess in a refreshing light. Instead of conforming to outdated stereotypes, Leia wears the metaphorical pants in their relationship, with Han providing unwavering support. He respects her position and authority, saving personal matters for their private moments. The dynamic is built on trust and mutual respect, avoiding the cliché of a one-sided romance. Notably, this is evident in Return of the Jedi (ROTJ), where Leia gets shot, and Han's caring demeanor is juxtaposed with his trademark smirk as she reveals her weapon. He's the one to express his love, illustrating the mutual affection and growth of both characters.
Hera
Character: Hera serves as the capable captain of the Ghost and its crew, supported by her right-hand man, Kanan, and the astromech droid, Chopper. Despite being a mother, she remains a crucial figure in the New Republic, leading missions and flight teams. Hera defies convention by maintaining her position of power while nurturing a romantic relationship with Kanan.
Romance: In contrast to traditional depictions where women are often portrayed as pining and emotional while men are serious, Hera and Kanan's dynamic reverses these roles. Kanan actively pursues the relationship, while Hera takes on a more serious and authoritative role. This unconventional approach adds depth to their relationship and challenges traditional gender norms.
-------------------------------------------
The Ideals of Rebels' Story and Its Setup Points:
Both the Star Wars Prequels and the Original Trilogy are anchored in the theme of battling oppressive regimes striving for absolute control. The Prequels delve into how this oppression came to be, forming a pivotal narrative standpoint. In contrast, The Clone Wars (TCW) primarily focuses on world-building, offering in-depth explorations of various factions and societies within the galaxy. While TCW provides a comprehensive view of the galaxy during a civil war, it doesn't follow a single large crew's story.
On the other hand, Star Wars Rebels (SWR) places a character-driven focus at its core. Unlike some other Star Wars media, such as movies, series, or shorts, SWR doesn't extensively explore different locations or delve into background storytelling. Instead, it prioritizes character development and episodic narratives.
To clarify my previous statement, SWR serves as a bridge between Episode 3 and Episode 4 of the Star Wars saga. It fills in the gaps, revealing the journey and sacrifices necessary to achieve freedom. The series commences with Ezra, a newly-minted Jedi Padawan, in a galaxy where Jedi are hunted down. He joins the nascent rebellion, which is just beginning to take shape. Ezra represents a glimmer of hope in a desolate world, even as forces of darkness attempt to extinguish that light.
This underscores the significance of SWR. Episode 4 depicted the Rebellion in its full-fledged form, with a substantial crew and support from multiple fronts. However, SWR sheds light on the challenges and sacrifices that made such achievements possible. It demonstrates that what was accomplished required immense personal sacrifice.
The Jedi aspect is exemplified through Kanan, who embodies the essence of a true Jedi. Ezra, too, matures into this role over time. Kanan's journey is unique; he was in the midst of his Padawan training when Order 66 unfolded. He never completed his training in the traditional sense and couldn't fully embrace the Jedi rules and traditions, which often felt restrictive and suffocating. Unbeknownst to him, his love for, attachment to, and bond with his lover, Padawan, and the rest of the crew went against traditional Jedi norms. However, this deviation allowed him to learn things the Jedi should have known centuries ago. Kanan eventually felt the full embrace of the Force, despite his past mistakes and moments of foolishness. He ultimately met his end as a true Jedi Knight.
As for Sabine, her character's growth and journey revolve around taking responsibility for her past mistakes and evolving into a stronger individual. Her journey includes abandoning the Imperial Academy, which produced weapons harmful to her people. This decision placed her family in jeopardy, with the majority of Mandalorians harboring animosity towards her. Despite these challenges, she emerged stronger with the support of those around her and a willingness to confront her past without forgetting or ignoring it.
The relationship between Ezra and Sabine in SWR was intentionally left ambiguous, making it challenging to definitively categorize. While the series provides hints through Ezra's statements, it remains open to interpretation. The internet, as expected, has embraced the ambiguity and given rise to various interpretations, showcasing the power of fan engagement and ship culture.
-------------------------------------------
Ezra and Sabine, Examined from Every Angle:
This section breaks down how each of these interpretations aligns with the characteristics of these relationship types.
Siblinghood
Individuality: With Siblings, there come different personalities. One can be chaotic and the other calm. That’s what we see in that case what can be considered normal in a family. You have the artistic child with her younger brother being more traditional and following his father.
Birth Order: This being one of the strongest arguments with this relationship. It’s for many great to see nonblood people considering each other as found family, where in situation where one lost their family or their family was not good, there are still others that are as close as those you share blood with.
Conflict and Love: This is more of a thing that can be seen with the training of the dark saber, in which the one sibling, who is good at something, that they consider their specialty, having to have share it with the other, as they see it being taken away or provoking the other as they think they are better at something.
Shared Memories: Both have abandonment issues over their family, and they share a lot of missions together.
Complex Emotions: Once again going back to the dark saber training, you could interpret that scene where Ezra is saying that Sabine at least still has family, while he has only one family left, that she is not respecting
Character Development: This can be interpretation for the end of rebels
Realistic Dialogue: A lot of people regard them bickering as sibling bickering
Backstory: In the start, it is implied that with Zeb, she is one that takes him under her wing as a older sister role
Conflict Resolution: They talk to each other
Evolution: It can be them growing older and seeing each other as equals
External Influences: within the ghost crew, they consider each other as family. Hera especially, so its easy to take this as it can be seen that every member implies it for themselves.
Platonic Soulmates
Unique Bond: They are not really romantically nor as siblings introduced in season 3 and 4
Common Values: Both want to free their respective people, destroy the empire and find a place in the galaxy.
Unconditional Support: Within the end, Sabine never states to be romantically involved but she does stay on Lothal, keeps his memorable things in check and waits from him to return.
Enduring Relationship: Both are willing to entrust each other to a lot of things and giving each other the chance to make things happen.
Conflict Resolution: They talk.
Growth Inspiration: Within the season 1 and 2 where Ezra constantly flirts openly to Season 3 and 4 where it is not seen as a romantic way.
Non-Romantic Nature: Barely Romantic gestures of touch in the traditional sense or talking about the feeling to each other, but in a respectable comrade way.
Emotional Depth: Their connection through their past and need to make better of their mistakes while helping each other out of those.
Shared Moments: Their missions
Respectful Boundaries: With Ezra stopping the flirting to concentrate and help Sabine
External Influences: The ghost crew being a close family through common goals and connection gives them a more bigger leeway
Romantic
Chemistry and Attraction: It is clear that Ezra still has an crush on Sabine, with him meeting her for the first time, being enamored with her beauty. Their chemistry is working and expendable. Sabine later is more open for more.
Character Development: From the young kid who has a crush with no real idea to an jedi that keeps it low to fulfill his duty, Ezra evolves within 4 seasons to a more mature way of admiring Sabine while having respect for her. Within the episode where Kanan and Sabine
Conflict and Tension: From the end of rebels, where Ezra sacrifices himself to keep his loved one self but leaving Sabine alone and confused to Sabine not listening to him when he tells her to or when she does not give him a lot of decision power over her.
Communication: Sabine not being able to trust anyone really to her getting the closest to Ezra for even supporting him on way to dangerous missions and Ezra
Shared Moments: From the intimate closeness of holding him by his waist to fly to safety, to him keeping her steady on the loath wolves and both refusing to let the other get hurt.
Individual Lives: When it comes to Krownest, Sabine splits up for a little while, when Ezra takes on other missions. They know when they have to do something alone and they have their own bigger problems in the end.
Trust and Vulnerability: Within the later seasons (3 and 4) Sabine opens up to Ezra about her own Demons and gives her full trust to him. Both can depend each other’s live on the other. But when it comes to
Intimacy: Sabine has no problem holding Ezra closer while Ezra still gets flustered a bit(speaking escape Jetpack scene). But other than that they have no problem being closer.
External Influences: Both Chopper and Zeb have been making fun of Ezra and Kanan is aware to some known extend as he has to be the done calming Ezra down, when Sabine is in a Dangerous situation.
Conflict Resolution: On the battlefield its Sabine being the aggressor and Ezra the shield. With other conflicts, it is that Sabine needs time to herself and Ezra worrying but respecting her needs.
Long-Term Compatibility: Sabine cannot imagine a life without Ezra in it and Ezra has stated that he wants to come home to her (as well as the others).
Realistic Challenges: Sabine knowing that 10 years have gone by since Ezra disappeared and still being ever so loyal to him. Ezra, while knowing Sabines competence, still often not wanting her on solo missions.
Romantic Gestures: The Birthday gift from Sabine. The consistent support of Ezra.
Character Flaws: The way they cannot see other one in pain and taking full front and lying in front of the other.
Resolution: They give each other full trust on the final mission with Sabine on her way towards him.
-------------------------------------------
Endcut:
In summary, this post aims to offer multiple perspectives on the dynamic between Ezra and Sabine, emphasizing that all three interpretations are valid based on the available knowledge.
Please note that this is a complex analysis, and the nature of their relationship remains open to interpretation.

I watched 47 movies in 2024 – up from 25 last year, and the most since 2021. Here they are, ranked in order. It was fun to revisit some classics with my boys, who turned 7- and 3-years-old this year. Movies denoted with an asterisk I'd seen before.
Dune – Part Two
So ethereal and beautiful and Hans Zimmer is brilliant. My only complaint is that Josh Brolin doesn’t belong in this world.
2. Meth Storm
Brilliant story, well-told, unbiased. The level of access they have to these meth users is crazy. I can’t imagine what filming this must’ve been like.
3. Oppenheimer
Worthy of the hype.
4. Star Wars*
I don’t know how to rate a movie that helped shape my childhood, man. It holds up, though.
5. Society of the Snow
Fascinating story about surviving in the Andes Mountains. FWIW, I’d eat a person in a heartbeat in that situation, so maybe don't get on a plane to the Andes with me?
6. The Exception
I’m in a WWII phase right now. I’m also in a Lily James phase. And I like stories that allow for normal, well-meaning people in the role of villains (re: Nazis). This one checked all those boxes.
7. Fury
World War II Tank Squadron’s perspective on the war. A solid ensemble cast, fighting against all odds. Ridiculous at the end, but good nonetheless.
8. Nate Bargatze: Hello World
I’d watched a few dozen clips before I watched this comedy special, and it wasn’t until my wife said something that I realized how clean the whole thing was. That level of humor without cussing is an unbelievable accomplishment.
9. Aniara
Fascinating post-apocalyptic space movie at a mesmerizing pace.
10. Black Mass*
I forgot I’d seen this until I was already well into the movie. Depp makes a solid villain, especially now that all the court shenanigans have happened in his real life.
11. Honey, I Shrunk the Kids*
All of the adult actors are fantastic in this. And the whole thing is a solid backyard adventure. Holds up.
12. Robin Hood* (Animated Classic)
This is probably my favorite classic Disney animated cartoon. Holds up.
13. Trumbo
Educated me to the number of great works of Dalton Trumbo, who I mostly only knew as the writer of Johnny Got His Gun. Politicians are (mostly) evil and self-serving.
14. The Revenant
I love a good vengeance piece. Leo is solid.
15. Hit Man
Fun/cute/ridiculous, but funny/Adria Arjona factor/bonus points for being set at my alma mater.
16. Am I Okay?
Interesting story that feels real, delivered with a sharp enough wit to keep my attention.
17. Birdman
I like this in premise more than in execution. I like any premise where a person is (basically) playing a version of himself. Michael Keaton and Edward Norton were fantastic.
18. Zone of Interest
[SPOILER ALERT, I GUESS] The choice to set the whole thing right beside a concentration camp without ever showing the concentration camp was brilliant.
19. Anthropoid
We went from introduction to being a spy to handling a major operation really quickly. And maybe that’s accurate, but it made the pacing of the movie feel insane. I needed some more character development.
20. Yesterday
Interesting concept, executed pretty well in a rom-com sense. The best part was the conversation at the picnic table. Great soundtrack – obviously. Also, it’s worth noting that I’m probably going to like any movie with Lily James in it.
21. Baby Driver
This was fun.
22. The ‘Vous
I enjoyed getting to know what goes on behind the curtain of this historic restaurant. The footage in the restaurant itself was especially well done – dark, like a culinary coal mine. There were multiple storylines, though, that didn’t seem to all tie up together. For example, when I thought the film was ending, a new storyline got introduced. While the music didn't have a recognizable sound specific to Memphis, it did have plenty of soul and could stand on its own.
23. Skin
This felt authentic.
24. Martha
I will always see Martha Stewart as she was in the late-1990s. I’ve always had a soft spot for her – and I liked reading Joan Didion’s essay about her a few years ago – but according to this documentary, there is nothing soft about Martha. She’s ruthless, but I still have mad respect for her. But she might be mentally unstable? I dunno. The photography from her youth was stunning. As was she.
25. Unfrosted
Absolutely stacked with starpower. The subtle (and not so subtle) references to real-life situations – at least as far as I’m aware – are hilarious. But it’s also a little too over the top. And frankly, I can’t stand Amy Schumer.
26. Top Gun: Maverick
Hollywood ridiculousness, but also exactly what it set out to be – adrenaline rush, nostalgia from the first one, etc. I wish Kelly McGillis would have made an appearance. I understand why they couldn’t, but it would have been satisfying to see them try. She could’ve been the – “You’re still doing this pilot thing?” self-doubt-inducing person to run into Maverick.
27. Dave Chappell: The Dreamer
It’s weird to rank stand-up. Chappell is funny, but he is more brilliant than funny these days. And that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
28. American Fiction
Moderately entertaining social commentary on the publishing industry.
29. Tell Them You Love Me
People are insane.
30. Juliet, Naked
This role had to have actually been written for Ethan Hawke. And I like any movie that pokes a little fun at fanatics of any kind.
31. Welcome to Me
Quirky, cute, awkward.
32. Land of Bad
Hollywood ridiculousness. They’re no way they have dudes in the middle of an operation while everyone else is watching sports. Enough adrenaline/action to keep my attention, though.
33. Return of the Jedi*
I’ve always loved this movie, but upon rewatch, this one is kind of ridiculous because it’s resting on the laurels of the franchise.
34. Spaceman
Tonally, very cool. Adam Sandler in a dramatic role is always good. But the giant spider turned me off.
35. Cyrus
Watch the trailer and you see most of the funny parts.
36. Dream Scenario
Nicholas Cage is great, but his character pisses me off.
37. The Kill Team
The whole time I was watching this, I got angry at the hoards of Americans who probably agree with (and celebrate) the villain.
38. Out of the Furnace
Lots of likeable star power, a well-established rust-belt vibe, but the story was lacking. I don’t believe people living in such poverty would be circulating in the wide circles these characters do.
39. Woman of the Hour
Dude was scary, and the movie had some intense, icky scenes, but it kind of felt like the intensity and the ickiness were more important than the narrative.
40. The Informant
The protagonist as a character was fantastic, but I found the story itself suffered because of an unreliable narrator.
41. Promising Young Woman
SPOILER ALERT – I had high hopes for this one. It would have been better had she just started killing dudes at the beginning. I thought that’s what I was tuning in for.
42. Untold: Johnny Football
It was nice to get a decent look at the guy as a person. But it wasn’t the tell-all I was hoping for. I still have lots of questions.
43. Dr. Delirium & the Edgewood Experiments
This mostly just made me sad.
44. Sword in the Stone*
There’s really just not a lot here. I remembered liking this as a kid.
45. High Life
Solid performances, but this concept didn’t get there for me. The “reproductive” element of this movie felt gratuitous.
46. Saltburn
Whuuuut?
47. Carry-On
I got duped by Jason Bateman’s presence in the trailer. This is terrible and ridiculous.
48. Mr. Magoo (1997)
I understand the filmmakers were trying to stay true to the original character, but not even Leslie Nielson can turn Mr. Magoo into a live-action success.
See previous years’ lists here: 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017.

Thanks for tagging me @danielleitloudernow
10 songs I’ve listened to recently.
Well, I’ve been listening to this WayHaught playlist I made on Spotify pretty much constantly so all of the songs I’ve been listening to recently are either from scenes in ‘Wynonna Earp’ with Waverly and Nicole in or from fanmade WayHaught videos on YouTube. I’m pretty obsessed with this WLW/queer couple at the moment. They’re the best WLW/queer representation I’ve seen in TV art/entertainment since Xena and Gabrielle and they really remind me of them.
I really like their physically and emotionally intimate scenes because there is a lot of narrative build up and foundation behind them. This isn’t something you always get with WLW/queer ships if both characters in it are not main characters in the show. So a lot of intimate scenes between WLW/queer ships in TV art/entertainment just happen with no rhyme or reason for them to. And therefore they look extremely forced and contrived because of it. This doesn’t ever happen with Waverly and Nicole. There’s always rhyme or reason for why they are as intimate as they are - both in a physical and emotional context - and it just makes their relationship so real and authentic. I am always absolutely enraptured in watching their intimate scenes and a huge factor as to why is because of the music they chose to play over those intimate scenes.
1. Sam Smith - Fire On Fire
Not actually in the show but in my favourite fan video.
youtube
2. The Casket Girls - Secular Love
This song plays during WayHaught’s first meeting.
3. Fleurie - Wildwood
This song plays the first time WayHaught make out and decide to become an official but private couple.
4. IMUR - Breathless
This song plays during a make out scene between WayHaught - leading to their first time having sex off-screen. There’s a conversation between them showing that it is important for Nicole that Waverly truly and fully consented to having sex with her because it was Waverly that was initiating it and Nicole wanted to be sure that she was sure in going all the way with her. And by the gods after all the shit I’ve watched involving violations of consent between WLW/queer ships, I really fucking appreciated this great scene.
5. STACEY - First Move
This song plays when WayHaught are about to be sexually intimate after Waverly was possessed by a demon and Nicole asks her whether the other times that they were sexually intimate while she was under its possession were actually her and what was real and Waverly reassures her that every time was all her and that it was all real because she remembers everything that happened between them whereas she couldn’t remember everything when she was possessed by it. Again, the notion of consent there is very appreciated.
6. Robyn Dell’Unto - Common
This song plays when WayHaught get sent into an alternate Universe where there’s no Wynonna and they never got together. Waverly walks in with Nicole’s lunch at the police station and she sits on her desk. We see it all happening in slow motion from Nicole’s perspective because Nicole has a huge crush on Waverly who is about to be married to a guy. She has this big dumb expression on her face that entirely gives her away but Waverly is completely oblivious. And it’s just a very adorable scene between them that makes you see that they’re destined to be together.
7. Adaline - Ghost
This song plays during WayHaught’s first and only on-screen sex scene. It’s a really beautifully done scene that has so much narrative build up, foundation and emotion behind it because they have been separated from each other for a really long time. Well, it’s a really long time for Nicole, who experienced the separation as long as 18 months, 3 weeks and 4 days. It’s very emotional to watch the scene bearing this in mind and the two actors that portray WayHaught did it justice not only because of their insane chemistry but also because they choreographed the scene themselves.
8. SEIL LIEN - It’s Love That Brought You Here
This song plays during a scene where WayHaught are kissing on the bed and Waverly tells Nicole that while they were separated, an evil entity tried to pretend to be Nicole and fool Waverly. And when Nicole gets concerned, Waverly tells her nothing happened between them and even if it did, she’d have known immediately that it wasn’t the real Nicole because she knows every inch of Nicole’s body and how it responds to her touch. She then asks Nicole if she could tell her about her year and a half but Nicole is in her own mind and therefore isn’t present with Waverly because she’s so distracted with the anxiety that they’re in danger from monsters that have been trying to get into the Homestead since Waverly was separated from her. It’s a very poignant scene showing how much more difficult and traumatic the separation was for Nicole.
9. Desiree Dawson - All In
This song plays during a WayHaught engagement scene. There is another engagement scene but it was during a looming and inevitable apocalypse where Waverly proposed to Nicole and it wasn’t appropriate so they redid it. Even though this engagement scene was supposed to be a double proposal (Waverly to Nicole/Nicole to Waverly), Waverly asks Nicole to just let her propose alone because she wanted to in the first place and Nicole consents. And it’s a really well written and performed scene where you could see the actors felt real emotion because it mattered to them.
10. Lindsey Ray - Won’t Let Go
This song plays during WayHaught’s wedding, which is in the final episode of the show. In fact, the entire episode pretty much is all about WayHaught getting married. It’s not just the main narrative of the episode, it’s also the main narrative backbone behind the entire season because not only did both main WLW/queer characters survive to the end of the show, they were also endgame as a committed main WLW/queer ship and this was celebrated by them getting married and having the whole season revolve around that as a main narrative - wrapping the main narrative around the characters rather than the other way around as all character-centric genre shows should do. This hasn’t, doesn’t and likely will never happen again. It is absolutely groundbreaking that they achieved this. Especially in a time in TV art/entertainment when it was either Bury your Gays or Bury your Gay show. I know that it’s because it was a reward to the fans that fought so fucking hard for a final fourth season. Just that very fact makes me love this song all the more.
We certainly won’t let go because we deserve to be seen, heard and represented in TV art/entertainment just as much as the straight characters and straight observers are! We deserve main narratives! We deserve to live! We deserve to be happy! We deserve to be in love! We deserve to be treated as equals! Not killed off! Not cancelled! Not queer-baited! Not Man-Inserted! And not made to feel as less than deserving!
The creators/cast/crew for ‘Wynonna Earp’ did WLW/queer representation completely right and I’m in awe!
(Btw - I only put “/queer” because Dom identifies as non-binary and even if their character is female, I still feel it’s respectful to acknowledge this about them.)

How to refill your prescriptions in 29 easy steps
I need to refill two prescriptions that I take as-needed for a chronic condition that flares on occasion. I've been using them for four years and filling it at the same pharmacy the whole time. Here's how I pulled it off:
Log into the pharmacy's online portal.
Get directed to the portal for my specific location for this chain pharmacy.
Attempt to log in here. It has two-factor authentication
Wait for the code. It does not arrive.
Request another code. It also does not arrive.
Call the store.
Get re-directed to tech support to get a code.
The tech support robots claim to send me a code. It never arrives.
Ask the robots for another
This one mysteriously makes it to my inbox
Log in
Am told to change password because of multiple attempted logins.
Change password.
Attempt to refill prescriptions. Since I have not ordered a refill in 6 months, they are missing from the online portal.
Call the pharmacy again. Navigate the phone tree to place an order through the automated system.
Manually enter 12-digit prescription numbers. It takes 7 minutes for two prescriptions
Am informed the prescriptions do not exist. Automated system hangs up.
Call pharmacy, repeat "Speak to a pharmacist" enough times that I am put on hold waiting for an authentic human.
Wait 47 minutes on hold
Tell the pharmacist what I need. They order the prescriptions
Get an automated voicemail that my prescriptions have expired and they will be contacting my doctor to order refills. Both bottles claim the prescription is good until mid 2025, but I have not ordered refills in 6 months so they do not exist in the system. I do not know why the pharmacist told me otherwise.
I changed health insurance this year and therefore changed doctors. My old doctor cannot refill the prescriptions.
My new doctor is on maternity leave.
The doctor standing in for my current doctor will not issue these prescriptions without an appointment.
The doctor standing in for my current doctor does not have appointments available this year.
I am changing health insurance again in January. I will not be able to see them in time.
Call an urgent care clinic. Explain that I need these prescriptions filled and cannot wait until some time in 2025 to have them. Urgent care says they can prescribe them if I come in for an appointment.
Schedule an appointment. This will cost me $120 out of pocket not counting the prescriptions.
Receive three expired login codes for my pharmacy's online portal.
And just like that, I should have these two prescriptions in-hand about a week from now, perfectly timed with my flare ending 😎
