some of my favorite Arcane fics/recommendations: a thread.

If you're lookin for some fics to get you through the wait until season 2 airs, i have some favorites/recommendations that I'd like to share. now, basically all of these are from ao3 (which is the superior sight i won't be taking criticism on this) and a good chunk of them are popular so you might have heard of them but if you haven't, check em out. (also if you'd like to reblog with fics i haven't mentioned/think i should check out pls do) also I'm going to give a brief synopsis and if it's complete or not so I'm not gonna be spoiling the whole fic. with that, let's begin.

Hellhound of the Underground: basically this is a "what if" fic if Silco were to choose Vi instead of Powder that night and Powder ends up with Viktor, Jayce and Caitlyn up in Piltover. It's SO good, the only thing is that it's pretty dark (but hey, so is Arcane) and don't worry there's plenty of Caitvi for the soul. Last update: 2/18/2024 (Author kerosene_dream)

Makeout Lessons with a Boxer: Caitvi but in college, everyone is horny, pining and usless lesbians abound. Fic Completed (Author p0etess)

Stolen Sister: Powder again ends up as Caitlyn's "sister" in Piltover but gets kidnapped on Progress Day. Caitlyn enlists the help of Vi to track her down but neither knows that the "sister" they're looking for happens to be the same person. Fic completed, has an ongoing sequel (Author PiLambdaOd)

In the end, we're both terrible people: Caitvi high school enemies to lovers. Cait is the popular, closeted, accidentally turned mean girl and Vi is the misfit, outcast, out of the closet lesbian. the two hate each other until they kiss in the locker room. fic completed (Author loveshazel)

I just learned about The Princess Bride home movie on YouTube. I don’t know how I’m just finding out about this but it’s absolutely hilarious. The whole time I was wondering how they were going to introduce the ‘R.O.U.S.’ Spoiler alert, it’s a corgi. Amazing actors too (half of The Office cast), it’s bizarre.

Things not to say to Disabled People:

"Your don't look disabled" not everyone who is disabled will actively look disabled, most wont actually.

"You have to tell me when i mess up, im not ableist" no. it is not disabled peoples job to tell you when you fuck up. i do tell people, cause im a fucking pushover who cant say no when they ask me too! just, dont.

"'referring to a mobility aid' your too young for that/your taking it away from somebody who needs it" no. nobody is too young they have it for a reason. if they have it they are not taking it away from people who need it they are one of the people who need it.

"I bet i would be fine if i had that, no offense" yes i have heard this genuinely. offense taken, do not pretend you could handle a disability that you have no clue what its like. I dont care if you have a high pain tolerance, you have yet to experience a 24/7 horrible pain. fuck your stupid pain tolerance.

I am very upset rn, if you cant tell. Please just stop doing this shit. its getting harder and harder each day to pretend someone close to me isnt repetitively being ableist and blaming it on joking or mental health issues.

Cold shaky stomach kind of quakey muscles achy mental ability: feeling between normal and scramble Have had today: 2 mugs of coffee and bagel. Have completed 7/16 "short" answer work-reflection questions. My goal was to do one section (four sections consisting of between 4 and 6 questions each) a day until work starts back up on the 8th, so I'm doing pretty ok, but I realized reading it, some of the questions I will not be able to do until after work starts up again, which sucks and kind of puts a kibosh on my plan to power through it all this week. New plan: -Take a bath, take some meds and vitamins incase it's just low iron fucking me up. -Done questions have already been color coded in green, not answered questions have been color coded in red so, questions that I will not be able to complete until back, will be color coded in purple to signify mentally how much progress I've made on an attainable goal. -Let 7 be what gets done today and not feel bad about it unless sudden upturn in "ness"
