Steph: What seems to be the problem?

Steph: There you go.
Kon: Ohhh, I thought the fruits grew their own barcodes.

Amy and Nog being 16 while Jake is 14 is. Something. To me.
Like you got this bright eyed mildly traumatized 14 year old befriending these two jaded ass 16 year olds, one of whom grew up on DS9 during a violent occupation, the other who just has mommy issues up the wazoo.
And he teaches the former how to read Standard while the latter is learning said formers native language.
And while Amy’s odd employment at her father’s bakery is pretty standard, Nog works in the seedy ass neighborhood bar/gambling establishment under his uncle as a busboy(I think).
Like I can just imagine something like the following happening while the three are fucking around in the storerooms;
Nog: Soooo…
Jake: *blank expression*
Nog: You want a beer?
Amy: HE’S FOURTEEN!
Nog: I DONT KNOW WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH HIM-?!

Kitty and Frank's arc in season 2 of Mr Selfridge is my favorite.
How it starts with him under appreciating her, and the slow realization dawning on his face when she leaves their date that he might have just thrown away something special. Kitty sets down her marker early, that while she likes him, she knows her value and the scene where he comes to apologize and she has him purchase the expensive lotion is fun. Then later when she visits him at his work and takes the upper hand by kissing him, leaving him speechless, and the whole whiskers scene is playful and flirty. The fallout after the article where Frank is now clearly besotted with Kitty and wants to make amends. All of it is perfect and I wish we'd had more of them.
