This is an illegitimate and deeply corrupt Supreme Court

Today is a sad day in American constitutional law and in the lives of LGBT people. The Supreme Court of the United States declares that a particular kind of business, though open to the public, has a constitutional right to refuse to serve members of a protected class. The Court does so for the first time in its history. By issuing this new license to discriminate in a case brought by a company that seeks to deny same-sex couples the full and equal enjoyment of its services, the immediate, symbolic effect of the decision is to mark gays and lesbians for second-class status. In this way, the decision itself inflicts a kind of stigmatic harm, on top of any harm caused by denials of service. The opinion of the Court is, quite literally, a notice that reads: "Some services may be denied to same-sex couples."

Today, the Court, for the first time in its history, grants a business open to the public a constitutional right to refuse to serve members of a protected class. Specifically, the Court holds that the First Amendment exempts a website-design company from a state law that prohibits the company from denying wedding websites to same-sex couples if the company chooses to sell those websites to the public.

The Court also holds that the company has a right to post a notice that says, "No [wedding websites] will be sold if they will be used for gay marriages."

Our Constitution contains no right to refuse service to a disfavored group.

also when I say that the pitt is deeply invested in the theme of adults w baggage struggling to nurture the skills & potential of other adults w baggage. let us not forget about javadi, perhaps the most potent and excruciating example of this phenomenon. she’s an adult but everyone treats her like a kid except for her parents who seem to have always treated her like a future adult first and a naive young person when it’s convenient to impress upon her how little she really knows. her parents’ anxiety about her future resulting in a young woman with an outrageous amount of technical knowledge for her age and almost no life experience or understanding of herself to give context or meaning to that knowledge. Robby’s comcern about her age and inexperience leading him to bench her immediately and treat her with kid gloves all day. (I mean she did faint but also it was a degloved foot, no one liked seeing that.) the traits her parents pushed for and saw as desirable to cultivate were the very traits that got her sat out in five minutes flat—book smarts, youth. yeah she’s tenacious she’s smart she fought like hell to get to where she is. but for what. she doesn’t know. she’s 20. she maybe doesn’t have what it takes because what it takes (personal motivation, broadly adapted coping mechanisms, life experience, resiliency) was never allowed or encouraged to develop in her. failmentorship at its finest.

Regardless of how I'm feeling about the show, one thing is abundantly clear. Melissa McBride makes it worth fighting for.

Also there's something to there being years of Dan separating himself from the danandphil brand and Phil supporting him and wanting him to have his creative fulfillment but lowkey wanting to do joint content again the whole time and now he gets to watch Dan be the lead creative on multiple projects post hiatus (this, dapc slime) and see him thriving in that role except now it's for projects that Phil gets to be a more active part in too and they're committing to the joint duo of it all more than ever too like it must be the best feeling.

where we went wrong! the name's based off the song from the hush sound lmao. its a b-team centric sep au that's essentially about donnie (with draxum & leo) and mikey (with splinter & raph) trying to found family each other and raph and leo being VIOLENTLY against it to the point where they keep trying to kill the opposing side lmao. a bunch of other stuff happens too but most of it's spoilers. its a very busy plot eventually

I adore fics where the reader enters the plex after the virus has set in and their goal is to tentatively befriend and help moon but woof am I excited about writing the other option.

Where the reader comes before the virus, they befriend a sweet gentle moon who doesn't put any stock in the villain character he's meant to play because nobody actually fears him, he gets the odd scare now and then on accident or on purpose (especially at readers expense) but he's regarded as one of the sweetest animatronics in the plex!

And then he slowly realises he's scaring people on accident more, his memory is becoming spotty more often, he's finding odd red and brown flakes of something between his casing, he attacks someone with no regard because they hurt his friend.

And he's so scared. Sun is too but moon notices that fear went far too quickly from being for moons well being to being a fear of moon himself and he can't help but resent his counterpart.

He stops talking as much, does his duty to the bare minimum and nothing more. And then he hurts his friend. Badly. They hurt him back in turn.

The reader gets new orders, they are to help sun and to keep moon in check.

He's removed from naptime. He's purely security, he remembers so little for a while. And then he suddenly becomes lucid again.

And he WANTS to hurt and scare. He laughs at his friends fear and concern for him and that fear and concern turns to anger and frustration.

He rips himself apart to harm his twin in spite, he realises he likes listening to the little voice commanding him to do wrong.

I am writing with a pressing concern about the recent policy allowing anyone to tag posts as explicit, even if they fall within Tumblr’s own guidelines. This change raises significant questions about what safeguards are in place to protect LGBTQ+ users from targeted attacks.

By enabling this feature without clear protections, Tumblr has effectively opened the door for bad actors to target a historically marginalized community. This is not just an oversight—it feels like a direct threat to our safety and creative expression. Tumblr has long been a unique space for self-expression, especially for LGBTQ+ individuals, yet this policy undermines that core value.

What measures are in place to prevent abuse of the tagging system against LGBTQ+ creators? Were members of the community consulted before implementing this policy? It’s hard to imagine anyone from our community agreeing to such a decision, given the immediate and obvious risks it poses.

This situation demands immediate action. As long as this policy remains in place, Tumblr risks significant harm to its community and could be held accountable for enabling such attacks. I urge you to reevaluate this policy and provide transparency about how you plan to address these very real concerns.

Now is exactly the time to support gay blogs. It’s not our place to bounce. It’s our right to be who we are just as anyone else. No one’s forcing anyone to view our blogs. We tolerate other pov’s on our feeds and we also customize them as we please. So. … What’s the deal? The double standard here is inexcusable.

If your blog or community is under siege whether it be a flagged post with no option to appeal, missing content, or action without explanation document the abuse, notify Tumblr and contact HRC or your local LGBTQ organization. Stand up for yourself and you will find it’s contagious.
