Which Software Is Ideal for Creating Flowcharts?
Using intuitive graphics can help individuals and teams communicate and reach decisions more quickly. The ability to handle sophisticated logic, replication, and modifications/alterations is one of flowcharts' primary constraints. Business users need the best flowcharting software to simplify and make the process interesting. After determining the most crucial specifications, look at the top software for 2023.
Business process automation
In order to manage duplicate operations in a corporation, automation is essential. Business rules engines with AI capabilities can be used by businesses to implement automated decision-making. Software users don't need to be trained in coding to visualize business logic. An organization can increase its consistency and clarity by implementing automation technology for decisions, workflows, and intelligence.
An online client survey and chatbot
When responding to online queries, a chatbot can efficiently manage several users at once. It is easier to arrange information, illustrate the decision-making process, and provide a solution as an equation for addressing a problem when a decision flowchart is used in the background to streamline complex situations. The software used to create flowcharts should therefore include in software for making flowcharts.
Document automation
Can a document be automatically generated by software following a session? Any company looking to grow quickly will benefit from having a strong software solution that can generate decision making diagrams, decision flowcharts, conversational chatbots, end-user questionnaires, and output papers.
With the help of VisiRule, a potent no-code low-code AI software suite, business people without programming experience may create solutions. Because it meets all of the above requirements, the flexible tool is the finest program for making flowcharts.

about illario working with the venatori, we can't forget that elgar'nan gifted him blood magic, so I do think that he somewhat influenced him and that's why he's so much more vindictive and jealous in comparison to tevinter nights. I don't mean that he's being mind controlled, but it's a bit like cyrian, a god just amplifying those negative emotions in you and promising power and glory can push a person to that edge and to make stupid af decisions.
im also not forgetting that zara line in inner demons where she talks about an envy demon. like. why an envy demon in specific...there's THINGS between zara and illario that were not shown
no literally if you get me talking about illario + envy + the possibility of getting him possessed, you will have me here for fucking ever. a non mage doing blood magic (any magic at all) is really weird and interesting to me and i don’t remember an example of this happening before (feel free to correct me tho lol. i’m discounting possessions and dwarves)
i had started wildly theorising after bloodbath that he had been possessed and he was tapping into the fade using an envy demon. especially like you said, zara mentions it, AND because i swear there’s a codex in the ossuary where it mentions an envy demon whereas spite is obviously determination, right? so i thought it was a breadcrumb trail to a big “illario is being influenced and doesn’t even know” reveal— same as you anon like great minds am i right— but i’m not sure there is actually any evidence of that lol. like maybe if you squint but i do believe it was explained away by “oh yeah, and elgarnan let him do special blood magic”
it does also make sense to me that illario can only control lucanis, due to being part of the same family. a bloodline thing, and it is very poetic to me that their shared family connection in caterina is what allows him to control lucanis, even for a moment lol. spite being the extra magical boost that lucanis needs to block that out ALSO makes sense to me so i’m not too fussed abt these details lol🤔
the envyllario in my heart also gets spectral weapons for himself. lucanis gets wings, illario gets talons, PLUS green-purple are complementary colors so it would have been really fun to see them clash with their spirit/demon-powers. the talon thing is also a kind of reflection of his end-goal desire, how envy demons already have those freaky hands, and it manifests as claws and is a much more aggressive, strength-augmenting manifestation (as opposed to manoeuvrability and speed-augmenting that spite’s wings give lucanis.) anyways that's what the diagram above is supposed to be (this is extremely hot to me)
#have been waiting all day to get out of work to draw what i have not stopped rotating in my head#also drawing is not totally clear yes that is lucanis using one hand to hold back illario trying to claw at him yayyyyyyy#illario dellamorte#lucanis dellamorte#my art#dragon age#veilguard spoilers#sorry. i was going to reply to this yesterday but my friend finished the lucanis questline#we were discussing this for a bit so the reply is a little more in depth and thought out#also both of the remaining dellamorte heirs both being possessed is fun to ME .#forget house dellamorte being cooked we HAVE to make sure they’re burning and smoking and potentially even on fire#i wish we got to make the crows actually confront what a possessed heir would mean#but that is largely overshadowed in the game by caterina’s kidnapping#and also feels underused because nothing of note goes terribly bad#he doesn’t even draw any blood when spite tries to kill illario#truly wish lucanispite would have gone out of control and killed someone. idk who tho#maybe. lol. jacobus come here. i need you to die tragically

Formula of Love (Myoui Mina x M!Reader)
Starting off the new year with Mina smut.
Word Count: 2,895

"Alright class I'll start handing back your tests."
"Y/N what do you think you got on the test?"
"I don't know Dahyun. I didn't really understand this unit."
Mina came up to your desk and handed your test upside down.
"I got an A plus Y/N! How about you?"
You turned your test over and saw your grade. "A 76%"
"So close, only a few points away from getting a B."
"I know, I'll do better on the unit exam. It's in 2 weeks right?"
"Actually it's this Friday."
"This Friday?! I'll have to ask Mrs. Myoui for help after class ends."
"Want me to wait for you?"
You and Dahyun were great friends and would walk back home together every day. On the days either you or Dahyun got sick then both of you would face time in order to still get the same experience as if the other was there.
Usually you would say yes but you didn't want to make Dahyun wait long on the occasion that you would talk to Mina for a prolonged period of time.
"No, you can go ahead and walk home. I might be talking with Mrs. Myoui for a while."
"Are you sure? We never walk home without each other."
"I'm positive."
"Alright fine."
Dahyun seemed a bit upset at your decision. But you tried to overlook it.
Class ended and Dahyun gave you a wave before she left.
"Is there something I can help you with Y/N?"
You looked at Mina and hesitated to talk with her. You were never on good terms with any teacher and Mina was no different. She wasn't a strict teacher per say but she wasn't lenient.
"Mrs. Myoui can you help me with the names of bones?"
"You want me to tutor you?"
"Yeah ... should I not?"
"No it's not that. It's just that no student has ever asked me to tutor them. You're the first, but let's not get into the details I'm more than happy to help you. So what are you struggling with?"
"I just don't think that staring at a diagram that lists the names is really helping me. Is there any other way you could teach me?"
Mina sat in her chair thinking for a moment.
An idea came into her head and you suddenly felt a shiver go down your spine. Though the air conditioner wasn't on high and the windows weren't open so you weren't sure exactly what caused it.
Mina got up from her chair and stood behind you. "Maybe it'll help you if I point it to it on you. Are you okay with that?"
The thought of having your teacher have her hands on you made your cock a little hard. You shifted your legs to cover it so Mina wouldn't notice.
"Y-yeah that's fine."
Mina hummed at your answer and placed her hands on you. Her hands roamed your body initially which elicited a low whimper from you. She took notice and smiled to herself.
"Alright let's start Y/N. You feel where my finger is now? That's your frontal bone, and this right here is your temporal bone."
"Mhm I understand."
"That's good."
Her hands slid down your body slowly. You started fidgeting with your hands trying your best to keep explicit thoughts away. She is your teacher after all you shouldn't be having such thoughts.
Mina wasn't stupid, she knew what exactly what she was doing. She was attracted to you since you first walked into the classroom at the beginning of the year. But you were her student and she was your teacher so she never acted on it.
But whenever she saw you always talking with Dahyun every day she got jealous. She started trying to get you away from her "Y/N why don't you work with Felix today?" she asked you once. You gave her the response of "Me and Dahyun always work together." ever since she's been trying to get you to herself but she has never found a good opportunity. Until Now.
"Y/N this is your sternum got it?"
"Yes."
She enjoyed watching you act this way. Your body betrayed you, it reacted with every touch she made on you. And she was getting a kick out of it.
Mina positioned herself closer to you to the point that you could feel her hot breath on you. Her lips extremely close to your ears brushing them occasionally.
She grabbed your hand "Do you feel this part of your wrist? They're called the carpal bones. And these are your metacarpal bones. Maybe feeling them on someone else would help, try feeling my hand."
It was a sloppy excuse. She just wanted you to hold her hand and she knew she was taking a risk with this. If you reported her to the administration she would get fired. If she was really unlucky she might get a charge against her.
However you were starting to catch feelings for your teacher and took her up on that offer. Reaching out your hand for Mina's you felt around her hands.
"They're so soft."
"What was that Y/N?"
She heard exactly what you said.
"N-nothing."
"Know what this bone is called?"
"The thumbs distal phalanx?"
"Correct, you're really proficient at this."
"Thank you Mrs. Myoui."
Mina wanted to take the situation to the next level. But she was still in school, it was to risky to further the current situation. She needed to get you out of the school.
"Why don't we continue this at my home?"
"You want me to go to your house?"
"Yeah, school will close soon and I want to continue this tutoring session."
"Th - that's fine."
You were a bit turned on by the thought of your teacher inviting you to her house. Mina saw the hunger in your eyes and wasn't going to miss her chance of doing more with you.
She wrote down her address and a piece of paper and handed it to you. "This is where I live, come over at five."
You nodded and headed out of the classroom. As you left school you saw Dahyun.
"Y/N! I was wondering when you would show up. What took so long?"
"Dahyun?! I thought I told you to go home without me."
"I know but I wasn't about to break tradition. What's on the paper you're holding?"
"Nothing! Come on let's just walk home."
-
It was almost time for you to go over to Mina's house. You told your parents that you were going to hang out at Dahyun's house.
"This should be the place." You double checked the address and made sure you were at Mina's house. And indeed you were.
Stepping up and knocking on the door you waited while fidgeting with your fingers.
After a few seconds the door opened "Y/N glad you could make it. Come in and sit on the couch."
It felt weird being at your teachers house but as long as it was with Mina you weren't complaining.
"Before we continue where we left off do you want anything? Maybe some food?"
You were hungry but you didn't want to bother Mina.
"I'm fine really."
Just as you said that your stomach growled.
"Don't be like that Y/N. I insist, let me make you something."
"No seriously-"
"I'm making you an omelette with ketchup."
You sighed, there was no changing her mind "Fine."
Mina went to the kitchen and started making you food while you sat on the couch unsure of what you should be doing.
"Come here to the kitchen Y/N. You can talk to me while I cook you your food."
Making your way to the kitchen you stood next to Mina.
"So are you keeping your grades up in your other classes Y/N?"
"Yes Mrs. Myoui, it's stressful but I manage."
"Drop the Mrs. Myoui it's too formal. While we're outside of school you can call me Mina."
"No really I shouldn't."
"Please Y/N just do it." She grabbed your face and made you look at her in the eyes.
"Call me Mina."
Her eyes mesmerized you. Looking at her face made you feel hot and it took all your will power to not look at her lips.
"Okay ... Mina."
"See isn't that so much better?"
"Mhm"
She took her hands off you which made you a little disappointed. She went back to cooking an omelette for you.
It took only a few minutes before she finished cooking your food. Putting it on the table for you to eat.
"Here's the ketchup Y/N."
"Thank you, Mina."
You poured the ketchup on your omelette and started to eat it.
"You're a great cook Mina."
"Thank you Y/N. To be honest I kind of winged it."
As you were eating you noticed that Mina stopped talking. You looked over at her to see her leaning on her hand staring at you. When she noticed that you figured out that she was staring at you she quickly pretended to get on her phone.
You weren't much of a confrontational person yourself so you didn't bring it up.
After you finished you got up to wash your plate but Mina stopped you.
"No Y/N I'll get it for you."
"Well I'm the guest so I shouldn't bother you."
"Well your my guest so I should be the one making sure your comfortable and feel welcomed so I should be taking care of you."
She snatched the plate out of your hands and went to the sink to wash it.
After she finished washing your plate she led you back to the living room to resume her tutoring session.
"Are you ready Y/N?"
"I'm ready."
Once again putting her hands back on your body you felt your heartbeat faster.
"You feel this Y/N? This part of your forearm is called the ulna, and this is called the radius."
She moved her hands to a spot more dangerous. They were extremely close to your cock and you were scared she would notice you getting hard.
"This part of your hip bone is the ilium."
Her hands were now pushed up against your cock.
"Around this area is where your sacrum is."
Your breath was getting heavy. You were imagining the most erotic things in your mind and your bulge was becoming more and more visible.
"Mina I get it, can you move your hand."
"But I'm not done yet Y/N I still have more to teach you."
"I already understand it."
"Getting a refresher wouldn't hurt."
Mina decided to be a little bold and put her hand around your cock.
"You're taking health class right?"
"Yes."
"What was this part of the male body called? I forgot."
"T-th-the penis."
"You're also learning about the female body right?"
"Yeah."
"Do you understand it?"
"Well ... not really but I'm learning."
"How would you feel if I helped you with learning about the female body?"
"But I thought you were going to teach me about the names of the bones in the body."
"I'm a teacher so I should teach you about everything you need help with."
"Oh okay."
"I'll take off my clothes so you can see it for yourself. You're okay with it right?"
"That's fine."
Mina started to strip off her clothes. It was slow and if you didn't know any better you would say she was trying to tease you with her body. But your teacher Mina wouldn't do such a thing ... right?
She took off her shirt and pants leaving her in just her bra and panties. You stared at her bare body for a bit but quickly turned away.
"Look at me Y/N. It's the best way to learn, you can't learn if you don't look."
Hesitantly, you turned to Mina. She looked you in the eyes and smiled at you before she continued stripping.
She tossed her bra and panties at you. You flinched as you felt them touch you but more importantly you couldn't take your eyes off the body off your teacher.
Her breasts, body, those eyes everything attracted you to her.
"You should also strip two Y/N."
"But Mina-"
"Do it for me."
Well who are you to disobey her? You listened to her and stripped off your clothing. Your clothed cock popped out from its constraints.
Mina licked her lips.
She walked over to you and grabbed her breasts. "These are breasts, go ahead and feel them."
You would be lying if you said you didn't want to but part of you didn't want to believe that this was real.
"Are you sure?"
"Go ahead Y/N this is for your education."
Taking your hands and placing them on Mina's breasts you felt how soft they were. You kneaded them brushing your thumbs over her sensitive nipples making her let out a low moan.
"Ah~ keep going Y/N."
You kept going at it. Continuously squishing them and molding them how you wanted. It made you extremely hard. You didn't want to stop there though so you decided to put your face up to her breasts and felt the softness across your face.
Unable to help yourself you licked her breast. You licked so much they were sopping wet, you licked everywhere and you felt Mina shudder every time you licked her nipples.
"So good keep going darling."
"Mina you taste amazing."
"Darling while I'm 'teaching' you privately, call me mommy."
"You want me to call you mommy?"
"Yes darling if you do I'll give you bonus points on your unit exam."
"Yes mommy."
Mina pushed you further into her breast turned on by the word you called her. It wasn't just that though she was also being turned on by the idea of fucking her student knowing she could be punished for this if she was ever caught doing so but she didn't care at the moment. The only thing on her mind at the moment was having some amazing sex.
Your hands reached to Mina's butt and squished her flesh.
"Darling do your hands have a different idea?"
You simply nodded at her.
"May I fuck your ass mommy?"
"Since you asked nicely I'll let you do whatever you want with me. And that includes cumming, don't worry darling I got my tubes tied so you won't have to worry about becoming a father."
Mina bent over for you displaying her perfect ass for you.
Unable to help yourself you swiftly inserted your hard cock deep into her ass screwing up her insides.
"Slow down darling! It hurts when you enter too quickly."
"But mommy I really want you! How can I hold myself back against someone who is as beautiful as you?"
You pulled out and thrusted yourself back into Mina's ass. Leaning down to kiss her neck in order to get her mind off the pain.
"Y/N I know your hormones are acting up but you have to slow down or you'll cum early. We should make the moment last as long as possible."
"Ugh fine I'll slow down." You weren't happy about it but you understood her points. And she was right, you did want this moment to last as long as possible.
Your thrusts became slow and you continued to kiss Mina's neck. She let out low moans as you reached over to grab her breasts. Your cock twitched inside of Mina. You pulled out and put yourself inside of her pussy.
"Darling you're really stretching me out so good."
"You're squeezing me so tight mommy!
"I bet you're girlfriend could never fuck you this good."
"My girlfriend?"
"Aren't you and Dahyun dating each other?"
"What? No, we're just friends."
"But you both hang out together all the ti-"
"Mommy I'm going to cum!"
"Wh-what? Hurry up and cum then!"
You pushed your cock deep into Mina's pussy and spewed out all your cum onto her pussy.
"Gah~ you feel so good I want to cum all over you."
"Pull out Y/N."
You obeyed and pulled out of her tight pussy. Mina turned around and started to suck your sensitive cock.
"Mina your mouth is so wet and warm."
"You don't taste half bad."
She continued to suck your cock in a sloppy manner. You moaned loudly because of her. Your moans echoed throughout Mina's whole house.
You came again inside of her mouth. Though it was a much smaller load. "Your cum tastes so good. You have to feed me this every day from now on!"
Mina laid down on the couch and you laid on her resting your head on her soft breasts.
"What time do you have to be home?"
"I think 30 more minutes before my parents get suspicious."
"Then let's rest up for 5 minutes then we'll continue."
-
The next morning you were walking to school with Dahyun.
"So how did your tutoring session with Mrs. Myoui go?"
"Mom- uhm, I mean Mrs. Myoui did a great job. I really learned a lot from her."
"Really? Well I'm glad you were able to actually learn."
"Yeah ... she took more of a physical approach and that helped a lot."
"Hey Y/N can I ask you something?"
"What's up?"
"Can I be your girlfriend?"

Tips for Cluster B Anger
~ coming from someone who has BPD and a psychology special interest Have you been feeling like your anger is completely uncontrollable and all encompassing? Do you feel like your anger controls you more than you control it? Me too! But here are some things I've found to be helpful: - Taking notes. Write down triggers for what causes your anger episodes (as well as other episodes e.g sadness or paranoia) once you come down from it and start looking for a pattern. Not only will this help you to slow down and self reflect, you can begin to either avoid those triggers or find ways to regulate the effects. - SLOW DOWN. If something is making you want to hurt someone else or yourself, slow the FUCK down. Push against the grain, step back and let yourself have a good cry or scream into a pillow. Do whatever you can to (healthily) process the emotions, no matter how long it takes, before making major decisions. - Avoid self harm, substances or unhealthy habits like disordered eating or emotional self harm. It's so tempting, believe me, but it will only serve to make things worse. You might feel like you want it to get worse now, but in the future, you WILL regret it. If you start feeling these urges, refer to the urge surfing diagram below this. - Get outside advice. Think you're splitting but you can't tell? Run the situation by a close friend or loved one and see how they feel about it. Try to relay it with as little bias as possible and see if they agree with the decision you're about to make or if you perhaps need to reevaluate some things. - Take care of your heart. I know this is cliche, but a good sleep schedule, hearty food consumption habits, hydration, exercise routine and mental health care go a long way in helping you succeed in the above tips. You are struggling with an illness, and ill people need as much care as possible. Become your own parent. This works for anger in all Cluster B personality disorders, as well as with autism spectrum disorders! Urge surfing:

i love how brennan so carefully described evan and sams relationship, making sure it was as open ended as possible, only describing it as romantic after danielle had first established that, so that she was just as involved in the life the two of them live in the future. it shows just how much he treasures her opinion irl, making sure her character gets agency whilst still being deeply cared about in world, that they get to make these decisions together
but also it meant a lot to me as someone whose aro ace, that it didn't Have to be a romantic relationship, that you can have a deep and meaningful relationship with someone without it being tied to societal norms. just because something gets perceived as romantic by others, doesn't inherently mean it Must be and that's final.
and danielle defining it as romantic doesn't throw that away. she chose the option she felt described them best. but the fact there were options in the first place, that these characters didn't Have to end up in a romantic relationship, that deep platonic relationships have been so woven into mismag between the pilot program.
it just means a lot to be seen
(for the record i personally i see sam and evan as being in a qpr (with each other and the other pilots in various spider webs and helpful diagrams), but thats the joy of headcannons. happy for evsam truthers, y'all enjoy and have a field day, and ill sit back here with my thoughts and watch c: )

im very set on there being 8 survivors now, anything else cheapens the story a little for me. i think it was always going to be 8, no matter what else changed. even before the writers were set on who the 8 would be they knew the 8 roles the characters would have to fill. this was always implied in the pilot, but now im convinced.
even just going off what we've actually heard via dialogue, any more than 8 feels unlikely. at lotties compound one of them said they were "all here" implying it was just the 6 of them left alive. the other 2 would then be travis and someone else who is either dead or assumed to be dead. i know people have speculated on that line in season 1 about some survivors living off-grid but personally i still think jessica just meant travis.
the number 8 has come up a couple of times in meaningful ways and its especially relevant to understanding why it matters that they're the Yellowjackets, a soccer team. it isnt just backstory, its like the key on a map, symbolic shorthand to help you understand the wider story. their on-field dynamics and roles so often mirror the ongoing dynamics and roles of the characters.
minus duplicates (like allie/akilah being nat's duplicate) there are 8 positions in a starting line up and we know via their shirt numbers all but 1 position is assigned to a specific varsity player. i know this is super hard to visualise if you arent a massive soccer nerd like me so i repurposed a graphic i made a while back.
in soccer specific jersey numbers are traditionally worn by particular positions, e.g 1 for a goalie, 9 for a striker, etc. every single varsity player in this show wears a traditional number. theres no way that happens by accident, it was a choice. the image above shows you what it tells us about their field position. as you can see the unassigned role is the attacking playmaker position, the person who makes the most pressurised, pivotal decisions. the real life or death stuff. misty fills this role, she has both ended and saved more lives than the rest and i'd say destroying the blackbox was pretty damn pivotal. in the pilot when the girls run out for the pep rally she is the only one thats focused on apart from the varsity girls and theres a player missing from the line up. that seems deliberate.
you can also see the only (teen) dead of the 8 are laura lee and jackie. this is where our reserves come in. sometimes also called substitutes or game-changers (subtitution is a major theme in this show just by itself but thats another post). when a player goes down you look to the bench to see who can fill their role. laura lee and jackie have both already been subsituted: travis takes laura lees place at lotties right hand, becoming her partner in the right side of defense, naturally protective but can progress with the attack to support his winger (nat), and then melissa takes jackies place as shaunas focal point, encouraging progression and driving the attack. however, even then travis and melissa dont fit quite right. simply put, people (and cats, no matter how similar they look to the original) cant be so easily replaced. travis, melissa, and misty are often othered. never accepted as part of the core team. (i have a suspicion van was meant to die and have javi take her place positionally. for a while he seemed like he might have a similar ability to deflect death against the odds and a closeness to the wilderness travis and lottie would want to defend. imo whenever the writers decided javi was dying or van was living, the others story inevitability changed too.)
the number 8 relates to the wilderness too. the 8 the knife made at the seance when javi asked if they were all going to die? the way the symbol of the wilderness has 8 elements?
im not saying this diagram shows for sure which element represents who, but i thought i'd give you guys an idea of what im seeing.
to be clear, im absolutely not saying the survivors are all that the symbol represents. if an in-universe explanation is given it will obviously be something else (i.e. that its a map of some sort) but i think the creators of the show chose this design for a reason that perhaps relates more to the survivors than anything else. it being a map would be more of a visual backgronym, with the characters as the actual inspiration for it.
for me the symbol has to represent them because the entire point is that they and wilderness are indistinguishable. us not knowing whats the wilderness and whats them is by design. that promotional poster of the characters forming the symbol? sitting inside of it? supernatural force or not, its in them. like lottie said, "is there a difference [between it and us]?" thats the shows thesis statement.
it makes sense Tai's jersey number is the 8 when she most embodies what the wilderness represents. shes the central midfielder, equal parts attack and defense. two warring halves, neither one exactly good nor bad, just primal vs civil. as shes placed at the very center of the game she has to play equally in both her own half and the other. her finding a way to balance both sides is key and this follows because historically and mathematically 8 has often been the number that is used to represent balance, splitting evenly from 8 to 4 to 2 to 1. life vs death, creation vs destruction, spiritual vs physical. neither can exist without the other. "does a hunt that has no violence feed anyone?" = living requires killing. but too much of either and theres disruption, a hole in the ecosystem as a species exhausts its food source. I wonder if thats what the yellowjackets did. killed too freely and disrupted the balance. once again, tai would embody this. her arc this season would reflect the wider narrative in its entirety - the primal takes over and natures left unbalanced. its why i dont think any of the survivors end this show alive. not because of cosmic justice, this story isnt so much about morality, its about duality and balance. when the wolves are killing too many deer the only thing you can do to reset the scales is cull the wolves.
so yes, it always had to be 8. if the 8th survivor is melissa, then it was very likely decided long ago that one of the extras would eventually come to the fore to play this part. ultimately they were just waiting to see who they thought was the best fit (or maybe what big name older actress they might be able to snag and match to a teenager lmao). either way it always had to be someone who could step into the space jackie left in order to complete the team. no more practices or scrimmages, they know their roles now. the ones we met in the pilot; the butcher, the overseer, the shaman, etc. for so long they had no striker, no sharp point to their attack, but thats not true anymore. melissa subs in for jackie, but soccer is fluid. players can switch position due to substitution. now its shauna who leads the attack, becomes the striker, the captain, placing melissa in the space shes left behind. no more killing for necessity, this is killing for sport and every position is filled. the story until now was just match prep, this is where the game begins.

Lads men x Reader who's really into horror movies
masterlist
this was a request from a kind anon.
summary: reader who really likes horror movies.
xavier | rafayel | zayne | caleb
sylus x reader | fluff
The room is dim. Just the glow from the projector and the shifting shadows on the walls. You sit forward as the scene plays out, dim lighting, an eerie stillness, then a sharp cut to a reflection. The victim sees themselves on screen seconds before impact. The screen goes black.
You don't react with a gasp or a flinch. Instead, you slap the pause button and spin toward Sylus with wide eyes.
''That. Was. Brilliant.''
He blinks slowly. ''The murder?''
''No!'' you grab the notebook, which is hanging on by one duct-taped corner, and flip it open in your lap. A folded page falls out. A post-it note sticks to your elbow. ''The reflection shot. The timing. The way the character becomes both observer and object. That is pure cinematic horror logic.''
Sylus watches you sift through the avalanche of scribbled diagrams and timestamp notes. ''I thought horror logic was people making bad decisions and tripping on air.''
You snort. ''That's surface-level stuff. I'm talking deep technique. Look,'' you tear out a page and spread it in front of him. ''See how the visual symmetry forces the viewer into complicity? It's not just a kill shot. It's a narrative trick. A loop of helplessness.''
He glances at the mess of arrows and shaky frame stills. ''This looks more like a tactical briefing than film analysis.''
''Same thing, honestly,'' you mutter, eyes still scanning the page. ''Predict the pattern. Anticipate the strike. Horror's just chess with blood.''
That makes Sylus pause. He leans back slightly, staring not at the notebook, but at you.
''…You really mean that.''
You look up, surprised by the softness in his voice. ''Of course I do. Horror is structure wrapped in chaos. You just have to be patient enough to unravel it.''
Sylus gives the smallest huff of breath. It's almost a laugh, which in his language might as well be a full-body chuckle. ''Sounds awfully familiar,'' he mutters under his breath. He glances at the paused screen again, the dim flicker of it reflected in his eyes. ''I never liked horror,'' he admits, still watching the frozen frame. ''Too irrational. People running toward danger. Splitting up for no reason. Poor decisions everywhere.''
You shoot him a grin. ''That's half the fun. The chaos. But that's only on the surface. Good horror has structure. Rhythm. Cause and effect.''
Sylus hums low in his throat. ''So you find logic in disorder.''
''Exactly.'' you point at him, pleased. ''Horror is controlled chaos. Like, okay, jump scares? They only work if you know how to set them up. They're math. Tension beats. Timing. It's practically music.''
He's quiet again, but this time, it's not dismissal. He's processing.
You tap your pen on your notebook. ''You look like you want to disagree.''
''I don't,'' he says, finally. ''I think I just…underestimated how methodical fear can be.''
The way he says it makes you glance at him, really glance. His voice calm, but there's something underneath it, like a wire stretched too tight. He's not just talking about films anymore. He rarely does.
You offer him a soft smile, shifting to sit cross-legged. ''I think that's why I love horror. You can understand fear. Control it. Break it down. It's never just violence. It's always saying something.''
Sylus looks at you, and for a moment, something flickers in his expression. Not surprise. Not amusement. Maybe something closer to…respect.
''I like the way your mind works,'' he says simply.
You blink, and for once, you're the one without words. Your pen slips slightly in your grip. The projector hums in silence.
And Sylus, without ceremony, leans forward to pick up a loose sheet from the floor. He holds it up to the light.
''…You've miswritten the year here. Nosferatu was released in 1922, not 1923.''
You gasp, scandalized. ''Disqualified. You're banned from horror club for nitpicking.''
''You run the club alone.''
''And you were almost vice president.''
A ghost of a smile lingers on his lips, and his eyes stay on you a moment longer before he sets the paper down and says, ''Continue. I'm listening.''
And just like that, your rambling resumes, animated and delighted, while Sylus sits in his quiet stillness, absorbing every word like it's data he never knew he needed.

Hi love would you mind making a part for professor!ellie where reader is pregnant again OR when their daughter grows up ?
Amazing work btw
Headcannons: professor!ellie williams x reader

masterlist
professor ellie masterlist
☆ Aurora’s favorite thing to do is sit on Ellie’s lap during her late-night grading sessions, asking questions like, “Are your students as smart as me?”
☆ She wears glasses just like Ellie now—reader thinks they’re twins.
☆ Aurora mimics Ellie’s mannerisms, like adjusting her glasses when she’s nervous or tilting her head when thinking.
☆ She already knows how to read short paragraphs and corrects people’s grammar—even Ellie’s, which makes her beam with pride.
☆ Aurora's drawings always include three people—Mama, Mommy, and her—but now a fourth baby blob is starting to appear in the corner labeled “Arny.”
☆ When you went into labor, Aurora tried to pack her own bag “to help,” which included crayons, a banana, and Ellie’s old lecture clicker.
☆ Ellie sometimes brings Aurora to campus events. She introduces her proudly with “This is my daughter. She’s smarter than my entire first-year class.”
☆ Aurora makes Ellie bracelets from string and demands she wear them even during lectures. She always does.
☆ Aurora asks science questions constantly. Ellie answers all of them with a whiteboard and diagrams.
☆ You once walked in on Aurora “lecturing” her stuffed animals, using Ellie’s tone exactly.
☆ Ellie writes down Aurora’s quotes in a leather-bound “Aurora Archive” journal.
☆ She refers to Ellie as “the smartest person alive” and you as “the prettiest.”
☆ Aurora’s handwriting practice turned into a full essay on why “Mommy Ellie is too bossy, but I still love her.”
☆ Ellie was obsessively thorough about the IVF process, reading every published study on embryo grading, success rates, and maternal health. She made color-coded charts for each clinic they considered.
☆ The decision to have a second child came after Aurora turned five, when she looked up at them one night and asked, “Why don’t I have a baby brother or sister?”
☆ Ellie wanted a boy this time, not because she loved Aurora any less, but because she was fascinated by how different he might be — still theirs, but uniquely his own.
☆ You carried Arnold, just like with Aurora, and Ellie was even more attentive this time—bringing snacks, checking nutrient levels, monitoring stress like a hawk.
☆ You used the same donor, ensuring Arnold and Aurora were biologically related, and Ellie cried when they found out the embryo had successfully implanted.
☆ Ellie held her breath during every scan, gripping your hand tightly until they saw that tiny heartbeat flicker on the screen.
☆ At home, Ellie converted her study into a nursery months before it was needed, painting it a rich forest green and hanging hand-painted space-themed art on the walls.
☆ She read academic articles aloud to your belly, mumbling about epigenetics and language development, hoping Arnold would be a little genius like his sister.
☆ Aurora would whisper secrets to her unborn brother, telling him what not to do so “Mama doesn’t freak out.”
☆ You and Ellie filmed short video diaries for Arnold, each one ending with Aurora saying, “Hurry up and come out, dummy.”
☆ Your pregnancy with Arnold was harder than Aurora’s — more nausea, more exhaustion — and Ellie handled everything from meals to laundry to carrying you to bed if you fell asleep on the couch.
☆ Ellie barely slept the night you went into labor, pacing in circles around their bedroom and triple-checking the hospital bag every 10 minutes.
☆ When Arnold was born, Ellie was the first to cry, trembling as she cut the umbilical cord and kissed your sweaty forehead, whispering, “You did it. He’s here.”
☆ Arnold was a quiet baby—unlike his fiery older sister—and when the nurse handed him to Ellie, he blinked up at her with wide, moss-green eyes.
☆ Aurora was the first to hold Arnold after them, sitting carefully on the hospital bed, her small arms wrapped awkwardly around her baby brother, declaring, “He smells weird. But he’s cute.”
☆ Ellie took an extended sabbatical from the university, something she never did for herself, but did without hesitation for Arnold and you.
☆ She kept a detailed baby log, recording every feeding, nap, and developmental milestone like it was groundbreaking research. (“He smiled at 4 weeks. Do you know how rare that is?”)
☆ You would often find Ellie in the middle of the night, swaying gently in the rocking chair with Arnold on her chest, whispering about constellations and music theory.
☆ Aurora helped with diaper changes, read bedtime stories to Arnold (whether he was awake or not), and told everyone at school, “I have a brother. He’s gonna be smarter than all of you.”
☆ Ellie constantly takes pictures of the three of you—you nursing, Aurora playing peekaboo, Arnold asleep on Ellie’s chest. She prints them, dates them, and keeps them in a growing archive labeled The Love We Made.
☆ Arnold has Ellie wrapped around his tiny fingers already—she holds him like he’s made of glass.
☆ She was an emotional wreck the day he was born, whispering “You’re here. You’re real,” over and over.
☆ Ellie sobbed in the hospital bathroom, clutching a photo of Aurora and trying to calm her nerves before holding Arnold for the first time.
☆ She made laminated feeding/diapering schedules and color-coded copies for both reader and herself.
☆ Ellie insisted on staying awake every night at first. You had to force her to rest by dragging her to bed.
☆ Her obsession with checking his breathing every 20 minutes has led to installing four different monitors.
☆ Ellie reads academic articles to him during nap time—“gotta start the kid early.”
☆ His nursery is space-themed. Ellie picked every star and constellation herself and even made a mobile from scratch.
☆ She prints out graphs of his growth and annotates them.
☆ You caught Ellie softly kissing Arnold’s forehead while murmuring, “I’ll protect you forever. I promise.”
☆ She calls him “my little theory” because she wants to test how much love a person can feel before they combust.”
☆ Ellie holds Arnold for hours while writing lectures one-handed, content even if it takes twice as long.
☆ She talks about him constantly at work—“Sorry my email’s late. My son drooled on my laptop.”
☆ Ellie insisted on giving him a middle name that references a philosopher—Arnold Pascal Williams.
☆ She puts little leather-bound books in his crib for aesthetic photos.
☆ Ellie made a password-protected photo archive titled “Arnold Growth Logs.”
☆ She has framed side-by-side ultrasound pictures of Aurora and Arnold on her office wall.
☆ You found Ellie singing lullabies in Hebrew and Latin just for “academic diversity.”
☆ She’s more patient with Arnold than she’s ever been with anyone.
☆ Ellie’s phone is overloaded with baby pics—she has a folder just labeled “Arnsmol.”
☆ She wrote a 10-page email to the pediatrician just asking about sleep regression.
☆ Ellie gets extremely possessive when someone other than you or Aurora holds Arnold.
☆ Her glasses fog up when she gets overwhelmed watching both kids together.
☆ Arnold’s first smile made Ellie go silent for ten minutes, then cry like a waterfall.
☆ She lowkey competes with you over who Arnold calms down with faster.
☆ She stares at you when she’s breastfeeding, completely mesmerized.
☆ Ellie reads textbooks on postpartum care so she can understand everything reader is experiencing.
☆ She canceled her own faculty conference trip because Arnold had a cold.
☆ Ellie redesigned her lecture schedule so she never misses bedtime for either child.
☆ Ellie’s gone full mama bear—she snapped at a stranger who called Arnold “it.”
☆ She started a private blog documenting her “Motherhood and Academia” journey, but only you have the link.
☆ Ellie sometimes forgets to eat if the baby’s crying—but never forgets to feed him.
☆ You teases Ellie about her “unofficial PhD in parenting.” Ellie secretly loves it.
☆ Arnold’s first laugh made Ellie record five videos trying to recreate the sound.
☆ She leaves love notes inside your breast pump bag.
☆ She wants to homeschool both kids—your not fully convinced yet.
☆ Ellie smells Arnold’s head constantly. Says it’s “baby serotonin.”
☆ Ellie cried when Aurora said “Arnold is my best friend forever.”
☆ She’s started humming lullabies even while writing lectures now.
☆ She talks to Arnold about how they’ll build rockets or dissect frogs together someday.
☆ Ellie calls Aurora and Arnold her “entire thesis on love.”
☆ She still panics during diaper changes—even though she’s read three parenting books.
☆ Ellie smells like baby lotion, chalkboard dust, and coffee now.
☆ Her voice softens immediately when either kid cries.
☆ Ellie doodles tiny versions of Aurora and Arnold in her margins during meetings.
☆ Ellie sometimes stares at you and just whispers, “How did I get this lucky?”
☆ She tells Arnold he looks like you, then whispers, “thank god.”
☆ Ellie calls their family of four “the most important study she’ll ever conduct.”

What Is the Best Program for Making Flowcharts?
Teams and individuals may communicate more effectively and make decisions more efficiently by using intuitive charts. One of the main limitations of flowcharts is the handling of complex logic, reproduction, and modifications/alterations. The best flowcharting software is needed by business users to make the process simple and engaging. Find out what the most important requirements are initially, and then research the best software for 2023.
Automating business processes
Automation is the key to managing redundant processes in a business. Businesses can deploy automated decision-making with the help of business rules engines with AI capabilities. Users of software can visualize business logic without having formal training in coding. By adopting automation technologies for choices, processes, and intelligence, a company can improve its clarity and consistency.
A chatbot and online client survey
When handling online inquiries, a chatbot is capable of effectively managing multiple users at once. When there is a decision flowchart in the background to simplify difficult problems, it is simpler to organize data, depict decision-making, and present a solution as a problem-solving equation. The software used to create flowcharts should therefore include in software for making flowcharts.
Automated document
Can a piece of software automate a document after a session? A powerful software solution with the capacity to create decision making diagrams, decision flowcharts, conversational chatbots, end-user questionnaires, and output papers is valuable for any organization trying to scale up quickly.
VisiRule is a powerful no-code low-code AI-enabled software suite that enables business people who are not programmers to develop solutions. The flexible tool is the best program for creating flowcharts since it satisfies the aforementioned requirements.

Always Tomorrow
1.8K / Javier Pena x fem!reader
Summary: Javier chooses an impossible new year's resolution.
Warnings: Longing, pining. Allusion to past relationship. Cigarettes.
A/N: A quick one for the same couple from Birthday Present and Photocopies; written for @beefrobeefcal's New Year, Same Pena challenge. Can be read as standalone, but if you follow them, this takes place ~a month after Photocopies (includes a few references to what happened in that instalment); there's a clue in here re: the truth about what happened if you squint, and if you squint a little less, some hope.
Dividers by @saradika-graphics 😘/ Should I make this an official series/collection and make a masterlist?
“So, you fellas make any new year’s resolutions?”
The Ambassador’s seemingly innocuous question slices through the curls of smoke swirling upwards from the overflowing ashtray in the centre of the conference table and causes Javier to stiffen.
“To put the lid down on the toilet. Connie’s request,” quips Steve. The joke is a bit too juvenile and lighthearted for the serious nature of today’s debrief on Search Bloc’s updated strategy for the new year – both Murphy and Crosby’s resulting laughter is superficial, perfunctory. Javier remains silent, pensive – preoccupied by both the myriads of tactical plans and diagrams spread across the table and his own answer.
“What about you, Agent Peña?”
He wants to glare at the older man. Spit out his new year’s resolutions with the same soul-eroding venom it took to make them in the first place and watch as the Chief of Mission absorbed the acidity behind their meaning:
To stop being such a creep and stay away from you.
Even now in this very moment, Javier’s failing at his resolve; covetous eyes instinctively drawn to the hypnotic sway of your hips in that dress of yours that always made his heart skip - you’ve appeared out of nowhere, as if Javier’s very thoughts conjured you. He only wishes he held such a power.
Sauntering into the boardroom, your graceful but decisive steps bring you straight to the Ambassador, to whom you hand a folder and whisper your purpose. Does Javier unwittingly lick his lips at the sight of your plush pout fluttering open and closed? Only Murphy notices. Is Agent Peña imagining how the warmth of your sweet breath might feel on his neck if he were on the receiving end of your quiet words? He is. The ever present regret in his heart reminds him that there was a time when he didn’t have to imagine.
He's jolted out of his daze when you brush past him and Steve with a professional but friendly, Agent to each man. Even the curt moniker sounds like a song in your angelic voice - Javier closes his eyes, an attempt to slow down time and soak in your melody a little longer.
The bounce of your hair, held back prettily by silver hair clips he gifted, floats your fragrant shampoo behind you and Javier inhales it greedily – the sweet smell instantly transporting him back to when he would breathe it fresh from its source; nose buried your hair as you curled up, sated in his arms - your naked body still warm from the shower entangling with his in the once crisp, now damp sheets of your shared bed.
“Peña?”
Mierda. So much for not being a creep.
“My new year’s resolution? To catch Escobar.”
“Good man,” a supportive palm is clasped onto Javier’s shoulder as the Ambassador turns back towards the paperwork on the table.
Yeah right. A good man would leave you alone, not invent the flimsiest of excuses to walk past the window next to your desk every chance he got just to catch a glimpse of you. A good man wouldn’t try to time his arrival at work to coincide with yours, marking the time he shares your same air in the elevator as the most blissful thirty seconds of his day.
Well, I’m not a good man, concedes Javier, but I am NOT a quitter either.
Too many hours later after the briefing finally concludes, Javier purposefully takes the long way back from the conference room to the DEA’s office so he can walk by your department. He’s checking his watch after noticing that your desk sits empty, your belongings gone, when he spies the pretty shape of you disappear down the hall and around the corner towards the elevators.
Without even thinking, Javier breaks out into a sprint so he can slip into your elevator just as the doors start to close. The elevator is packed with embassy staff eager to leave work; though the DEA agent cannot see you, he can feel you. Javier’s shoulders sag in relief just to be this close to you again.
When he exits on the main floor, Javier walks swiftly towards the front doors – pretending that going out for a cigarette had been his intention all along. He’s just lighting up when you fly past him and down the embassy steps towards your waiting car. He adores you from behind - you're oblivious to him memorizing the curl of your fingers in the handle of the opening car door and the grace with which you slip in the backseat. Ever unaware of your admiring audience, the chime of your greeting to your driver rings loud and joyous even from where Javier stands. For the second time today, Agent Peña closes his eyes to replay your voice in his mind – taking a deep drag of his cigarette as he does so; the twin high from having been in the vicinity of your being, your voice, your smell and the nicotine making him slightly lightheaded.
“Don’t most people quit cigarettes for their new year’s resolution, Peña?”
Opening his eyes, Javier sees one of his CIA counterparts standing next to him, chuckling as he himself pulls out his own pack.
“Nah. I like a challenge for my resolutions,” Javier half jokes.
“Oh yeah? How’s it going so far?”
Not sure if he’s happy or resigned at the truth, Javier confesses, “Failing miserably.”
“Well, there’s always tomorrow, buddy.”
“Yeah, always tomorrow,” agrees Javier, wistful - his softened eyes following your car as it leaves the embassy grounds.
You
When you walked into the big conference room to update Ambassador Crosby on the Columbian-US trade fluctuation analysis he had asked for, you weren’t at all offended that he didn’t include you in the new year’s resolutions conversation. The man had already engaged you in what seemed to be his current go-to small talk topic earlier this morning over breakfast.
You had answered something believable about procrastinating less, improving your Spanish, to which he had approvingly nodded.
Your actual resolutions for the new year are for you and you alone:
To break though to Javier Peña and make him confess the truth to you.
After your run in with Javi in the photocopier room a month ago, you had forced yourself to push past the hurt of having his betrayal thrown in your face and sat down to really contemplate the interaction. His soft confessions, vulnerable and pure, were so reminiscent of the Javi you had loved – the man who had so much compassion and empathy in that hidden heart of his that whenever he felt safe enough to lay it bare, it couldn’t help but overflow. Further tearing down your already crumbling walls was the memory of his kisses - they had melted you near instantly, your own lips as desperate and wanting as his to be reunited. And his eyes - the look in Javi's eyes that day had threatened to drown you with the intensity of devotion and love that you saw storming within.
For a brief moment, your Javi had returned to you.
And then you think back to your birthday and the thoughtful, considerate gift he wanted you to have but never took the credit for. So characteristic of the man to give and give, never taking anything for himself.
It had been the same when the two of you were together before. You let yourself revisit the times you felt the safest, cherished, understood while you were in Columbia and they were all moments spent in the rough agent’s arms. He had given you patience, kindness, and tenderness – his everything; not once did he demand anything in return, though Javi would never admit that he yearned for the same. You saw through his facade easily and showered him with your support, comfort, calm – all given freely and without reservation; and for that, he had loved you fiercely. He had known you and you had known him, the real Javi beneath his gruff exterior armour.
Something he said that day in the photocopier room struck you as odd:
You deserve someone who can give you the best things in life. You deserve someone better than me.
Those were not Javier Peña’s words. After everything you had shared with him about your upbringing, your family and your complicated feelings about legacy and privilege, he would know that those words could never hold any weight with you. Then why did he say it? Whose words were they? You don’t know but you think it’s the key to figuring out why Javi is pushing you away.
After that horrible night when you ran from the heart shattering scene in his apartment, you became convinced that your relationship and the Javi you had fallen in love with had both been a lie. A ruse to add you as another notch on Javier Peña’s already heavily laden belt. But the thoughtfulness of his birthday gift and then the sincerity and emotion that radiated from him during your brief reunion last month had you reconsidering that premise. Your Javi exists, you know it. He’s in there, locked away, and you think he still loves you. You think you still love him, too.
So, you decided you would draw him out.
You pretend not to notice when he walks by the window next to your desk more than anyone could possibly need to, but make sure to be there as much as possible whenever he’s in the office. You ask people to come to your desk instead of going to theirs whenever you're needed; you trouble the embassy catering staff to bring you coffee instead of going yourself to the breakroom.
You wear the clothes he loved best and always, always the silver bird barrettes he gifted you in your hair. You’re generous with the perfume and shampoo you know he associated with your signature scent and waft by him as often as you can. Today, for example, you could have easily left the analysis on the Ambassador’s desk, but you knew he could be found in a DEA debrief, so you went there directly instead.
You keep your schedule regular and your arrival and departure times punctual, allowing yourself to be easily found should Javi so choose. Every morning you feel a little closer to victory when he seems to magically step into your same elevator. At the end of today when he narrowly avoids being smushed by your closing elevator doors, you beam at the backs of the other embassy staff that stand between the two of you.
Even as you flounce down the embassy steps past Agent Peña’s broad-shoulders, you feel his eyes - you don’t need to turn around to know that he’s watching and listening, and that thought alone warms you.
Your heart sings affectionately in your chest. I’m going to keep reminding you of me so you don’t forget, you promise silently. Come back to me and tell me the truth, please, Javi.
As your car pulls away from the curb, you driver engages you amiably, “So, Miss, how are your new year’s resolutions coming along?”
“Slow going,” you answer honestly, “but I am NOT a quitter.”
“Good for you! Just remember, there’s always tomorrow.”
“Right, always tomorrow,” you agree, feeling hopeful when you look back through the tinted rear window and see Javi’s puppy dog eyes following as you drive away.
Thank you all so much for your support of this Javi and his Pretty Bird, especially @milla-frenchy, without whom I may not have written any more of their story. 🥹🥹🥰 Tagging a few lovely people who left me kind words on Photocopies 😘😘: @greenwitchfromthewoods @axshadows @sunnytuliptime @joelmillerisapunk @professionalpromqueen

Writing Notes: Narrative Arc
Narrative arc - also called a “story arc,” a “dramatic arc,” or just an “arc”.
It is a literary term for the path a story follows.
It provides a backbone by providing a clear beginning, middle, and end of the story.
Freytag's Pyramid
The concept of narrative arc as we know it today was created by Gustav Freytag, a German novelist and playwright who closely analyzed ancient Greek writing, along with William Shakespeare’s five-act plays.
As the term suggests, when plotted on paper, a typical narrative arc forms the shape of a hill or pyramid.
5 Classic Elements of a Narrative Arc
A traditional narrative arc has five elements, in the following order:
Exposition. This is the reader’s introduction to the story. The exposition offers background information to prime the audience for the rest of the story, including introducing the main character(s) (the “who”), setting (the “where”), and circumstances or time period (the “when”).
Rising action. This is when conflict begins to ramp up. The rising action usually begins with what’s called an “inciting incident”—the triggering event that puts the main events of the story in motion. This is when the audience starts to see what your story is really about.
Climax. This is the highest point of tension in your storyline, and often the point at which all the different subplots and characters converge. Typically, the climax requires the main character to face the truth or make an important choice.
Falling action. This is what happens as a result of the protagonist’s decision. During the falling action, the conflict gives way to resolution. Loose ends are tied up, and tension begins to dissipate.
Resolution. Also known as a denouement, this is how your story ends. The resolution of a narrative arc isn’t always happy, but it does close the loop and show how the events of the story have changed the characters and the world around them.
Narrative Arc vs. Plot
Plot - the individual events that make up your story. In other words, the plot is what happens.
Narrative arc - the path or sequence of your plot, and how that series of events creates a flow and progression that keeps the reader engaged at each stage in the story.
Narrative Arc vs. Character Arc
If a narrative arc is the path of the overall story,
a character arc is the path a specific character takes during that story.
The story arc is external, and happens to all of the characters,
while a character arc is internal, and happens to one person.
A character arc usually involves a character overcoming an obstacle and changing the way they see the world.
When the narrative arc begins its descent down the pyramid into the falling action and resolution, the character arc has its moment to shine.
This is when a character experiences a turning point by asking for help, learning a new skill, making a critical choice, and/or becoming more self-aware.
Typically, only major characters have character arcs, though minor characters can undergo this type of character development as well.
Create a Narrative Arc in 4 Easy Steps
Here are some writing tips for building a narrative arc in your own writing:
Choose an archetypal narrative arc. Think about the story you want to tell. Is the main character overcoming an obstacle? Going on a quest? Experiencing a rebirth? You don’t have to follow any one example to the letter, but writing with an archetypal narrative arc in mind can be a huge help.
Identify your beginning, middle, and end. Who are the main characters? What are they doing? When are they doing it? Where are they doing it? Why are they doing it? And, most importantly: What is all of that building toward?
Plug your events into a narrative arc. Creating a visual diagram of your chosen narrative arc, then add the events of your story along that arc. Seeing a quick overview of your story on a page makes it easier to identify problems and fill any gaps. For instance, if you have a lot of events clustered in your “exposition” stage, you may want to cut some of them out or reimagine them as new developments in the rising action.
Adjust as needed. Of course, there’s no hard and fast rule that you have to stick to Freytag’s traditional narrative arc. Every story is different: some are heavier on exposition, while others draw out the rising action. Give yourself the freedom to be flexible and see where your unique story goes.
The next time you sit down to write, consider drawing up a quick narrative arc. It’s a useful tool that can help you stay on track if you’re ever unsure of what comes next in your story.

IGN - 'The Expanse: Osiris Reborn Interview: Just How Mass Effect Is It?'
"The Expanse: Osiris Reborn looks so Mass Effect that some are already calling it Mass Effect: The Expanse. Based on the debut trailer and what we know about how the game works, it’s easy to see why. And to be fair to the developers at Owlcat Games, they’re wearing their inspiration on their sleeves. In an interview with IGN, creative director Alexander Mishulin and head of publishing Andrey Tsvetkov are up-front about the influence BioWare’s sci-fi series has had on The Expanse: Osiris Reborn. But, they insist, it’s more than just a carbon copy."
Rest of post under cut due to length.
"As for fans of The Expanse itself, Osiris Reborn is an exciting project as it offers a new story that sees some of the actors from the much-loved Prime Video series reprise their roles. Owlcat won’t say who exactly (I tried!), but at least we know there’s more The Expanse coming for fans still missing the show after it ended in 2022. In fact, for me, there’s even more to be excited about when it comes to The Expanse: Osiris Reborn. I’m a big Mass Effect fan, I love The Expanse, and I love Owlcat’s Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, which is not just one of the best Warhammer 40,000 games of recent years, but one of the best cRPGs around. Is Osiris Reborn the sweet spot in the middle of a venn diagram of Mass Effect, The Expanse, and Warhammer 40,000? Read on to find out just how Mass Effect The Expanse: Osiris Reborn really is."
"IGN: This sounds a lot like Mass Effect to me, even down to the mechanics and gameplay. Is that fair to say? Alexander Mishulin: Of course Mass Effect is a huge inspiration for the team. It was one of the biggest games of that time, of Xbox 360. It was played from cover to cover by many team members. Being game developers, it's part of our dream to build something like the thing we experienced while we were kids and that made a great impression on us. So in part yes, but while still having Mass Effect as an inspiration, it's still very much an Owlcat game. It's our story with choices and consequences. It's more grounded and realistic. It's also mechanically more modern. And while it still has a similar target in the audience, we are providing more choices and we are more focused on a modern approach where you can make your own playstyle, make your own experience through the game, which separates us in many ways from the mechanical decisions of Mass Effect. In terms of companions, we love companions. We love the companions in Mass Effect, and we want to give them more spotlight. We want to provide you with more opportunities to see them in action, not only in a Suicide Mission, but in most of the missions to see how they can help you go through, or maybe experience some stroke of bad luck and you will go and help them. So they’re a bigger part of the story and, in our opinion, a bigger part of our team. We cannot deny it's [Mass Effect] an inspiration, but it's still our own game and our own dream to make a game with similar feelings and bring it to our modern audience."
"IGN: Who do you play as? Alexander Mishulin: You play as a mercenary, and there is a twist to that. When you are creating a character, you are creating a character with a sibling. As in real life, while you are similar to your brother or sister, you’re still very much different. So when you're creating a character, you start as a mercenary. I can't talk a lot about the story, but you will get in a not really great situation and will start to try to get over that. And also mechanically speaking, when you're creating your own character, you can start creating your own playstyle. You can choose from more pre-generated characters that are thematic to various parts, like being a sniper for example. You can also mix and match everything and create something of your own that is more fitting to your character, or just more fitting to the way you play the game. IGN: And is it like Mass Effect where you can create a male or female character who is fully voiced? Alexander Mishulin: Yeah, the game is fully voiced, also with the main characters. You can create male and females. There is a very robust and expansive character creation with a lot of options to choose from. Nice hairstyles, nice features, everything you would expect from modern character creation."
"IGN: You’ve said you will meet some of the characters people know from the show. Can you say which characters from the show people can expect to meet? Have you got any of the actors? Are they based on the likenesses of the actors from the show with voice work? Alexander Mishulin: We can confirm that there will be actors from the show. But at this time I can't say the name of the characters or the name of the actors. I'm sorry. IGN: But that's really exciting because they're reprising their roles, aren't they? Which given the show has ended will be exciting for fans to see them again. Andrey Tsvetkov: Absolutely. As Alex has mentioned, some of the actors will be returning to their iconic roles and you will see them in the game."
"IGN: One of the things that Mass Effect was famous for was being able to romance your party members with sex scenes. Is that something you have in your game? Alexander Mishulin: Of course. Companions are a huge part of our games. And in all of our games we had various interactions, including romances, and there will be romances in this game too. I can't go into the specifics of which particular characters, or which particular romances of course. But such interactions will be present. As for companions, as I already said, your sibling, either brother or sister because this character will have the same gender as your character — so it's either two brothers or two sisters — you can think about this character as your first companion and most loyal companion from the start. As for other companions, we are not going into details on them, but they represent specialists and professionals from different fields of knowledge. And of course you'll be meeting Martian characters, Earth characters, and Belter characters. All of them will be part of your team, and this will add additional dynamic inter-relations. Because as you know, a lot of events in The Expanse are politically charged, so you can expect some of your companions to have strong opinions about your decisions regarding the politics and allegiances to particular factions."
"IGN: You’ve said the game will have zero-g sections where you go out on the hull of spacecraft. Some of the best moments of The Expanse show were the zero-g scenes. It’s a grounded, hard sci-fi universe, an adult show with gore, nudity, and sex. Will the game be similar in tone to the TV show? Alexander Mishulin: Yeah, The Expanse is very much an adult game with all of those themes, with difficult and tragic moments. Being a cover shooter, you can expect that there is a lot of graphic violence. So yeah, it's very much on par with the show. But in terms of tone, we are exploring The Expanse from a little bit of a different side. You will be seeing dark moments, but you sometimes will be seeing light moments too, because it's not only doom and gloom everywhere. So you can expect to see the more ordinary life of the people of the various factions. Even in the hard situations there are times when people just rise up and become successful. And so you can expect to see the hardship of the Belt characters, but you can also see some of the Belt characters who become very successful and rather powerful. It's our understanding of The Expanse universe. And it's also — sorry for the tautology — it's expanding the setting itself, allowing you to see some of the locations you know from the shows or from the books in different states or in a different light."
"IGN: This game sounds very ambitious and a step up from what I know Owlcat for. It’s described as a AAA action RPG, Unreal Engine 5. When you have comparisons to Mass Effect, people will think of this as a flashy, big budget sci-fi adventure game, which is on a level we've not seen from you as a studio before. It would be great to get some insight into the scope of the project. How have you gone about changing the way the company works to be able to do something like this and meet expectations, which will be high? I know it's hard to say how long the game is, but is this a shorter, tightly constructed linear game? Alexander Mishulin: Yeah, it's a huge step up and a big change to everything in the way we make a game, because all of our processes are really reimagined for this game. But in a lot of fields our expertise allows us to make the step, to take those risks. For example, we are pretty sure about our storytelling, about how we depict characters, depict choices, and provide you with those choices and consequences. When you have this basis, building up on that to make dialogues more cinematographic, make more cutscenes that involve the player and immerse them into the atmosphere, is far easier because you already know how to tell the story, you already know how to present those characters. So we are building up on our strong sides and expanding them to allow us to build this kind of game. And also we of course expanded our own team as well. We hired a lot of professionals, including the people who were working on other AAA titles similar to those, especially on Cyberpunk. So we are building up on their experience as well. In terms of scope of the project, of course it will be smaller than, say, Rogue Trader, which is an immense adventure. But you can still expect most of our staples. So it's not a linear adventure. You will be traveling through the solar system and you will be able to select whoever you want to go on that mission, or do you want to go and help your companion or continue along the story? Time is sometimes also a factor, like if you go into the location earlier or later, something will change and your previous decision will affect the location as well. So all this intricate storytelling is very much in place and you can expect us to deliver on that. It especially works well with the politics, because there are three factions and there is a political game you will be slowly dragged into, and as you start to realize it you understand you can go with it and champion some of the factions, or you can betray them and be a double agent and learn the secrets and sell those secrets to other side. So all this dynamic is in place, but in a shorter adventure. And this adventure is far more cinematographic. That is one part of the reason it is a little bit shorter, because we are trying to bring more action to life, more choices to life. We are not telling it like it was in a book where you read a lot, but you will see a lot of the things that were previously just written with your own eyes, and that requires a lot of effort."
"IGN: Do you have a release window in mind? How far along is the project? Andrey Tsvetkov: Obviously we have a release window in mind, but we won't be sharing it today unfortunately, just because there still might be room for wiggling a little bit, and we will be saving this one for later. What we can say is that we've been working on this project for quite a while now. We started pre-production in 2022. We are not rushing this, right? We are taking our time to do this in the proper manner and we are very excited about how it's actually shaping up. But we will take our time to finish it and we'll be sharing the information about the release window when we are absolutely ready and we are absolutely confident that we can deliver the experience we want in this specific time window."
"IGN: I've got one last question. In the world of The Expanse, humans struggle in space and space travel is difficult. Do you have any mechanics that challenge the player to cope with being in space or space travel in the same way we see in the books and the show? Alexander Mishulin: We actually thought about adding that to the game and even designed some of those. But we decided that we will show those things, we will tell you about those things, but we will not let you play them or manage them because it leads to additional tediousness and draws your attention away from the story and characters. And we want our focus to be very much on the story and the characters. So you will be seeing them, seeing all those elements in cutscenes. You will be seeing the moments when the Juice is coming in and the chairs go into the flat positions. You will be seeing ships that either accelerate or decelerate. You will be seeing all the somersault maneuvers and everything. But you will not be driving the ship by yourself. Of course all the trajectories for space travel will be realistic, not like going straight but taking into account gravity and gravity wells and going around the planets and everything. We are in The Expanse so we're very much grounded and bound by realism, but we don't want realism to take a lot of fun from you. Just sometimes a little bit of fun, but not a lot of fun! But you can expect some of the flesh physics to be in play. Just an example, of course when you're having a shootout in a zero-g environment, the blood will perform in the correct way, not just splattering on the ground. There are a lot of such small details everywhere. The Expanse: Osiris Reborn is coming to PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S."

Hello, I love reading everything on your blog and was wondering if I could get the Bucciarati gang with a reader whose stand name is " Illusionary Heart " with her ability being able to create an invisible field that allows her track and manipulate her enemies making her the strategist Bucciarati gang.
hi, ty! and sure, i hope u enjoy and thank you for requesting <33
Giorno
He’s instantly impressed- you think in patterns, probabilities, and traps, which pairs beautifully with his own calculating nature.
You’ll be deep in a strategy meeting and Giorno will lowkey get this shiver watching you calmly explain an ambush plan, like:
“Set the trap here. He’ll step on it within four seconds, then I’ll destabilize him. Mista, you shoot at his lower limbs.”
He’s like ...Her mind is terrifying.
Loves sparring with you in private just to see how you think. Tries to out-plan you and never wins.
“Your heart guides ours,” he once whispered, holding your hand after a mission. “And I trust it.”
Bucciarati
TRUSTS YOU WITH HIS LIFE. Literally treats your word like gospel when it comes to battlefield decisions.
The way your Stand works reminds him of a heartbeat in the chest of Passione- it ties the whole crew together.
You once manipulated an enemy mid-fight to stumble into his zipper trap and he called it “divine coordination.”
He’s constantly defending you when rival Stand users call your ability “creepy” or “indirect”- he knows better. He’s seen you change the whole flow of fights.
“You’re the pulse that keeps us alive,” he told you once.
Fugo
You two are brainstorming buddies.
You’re one of the few people he can have full intellectual debates with and not lose his temper.
(Although if someone talks over you, he will go off on them.)
The logic behind your stand fascinates him- he wants to diagram it, measure the field, test variables.
Gets flustered when you tease him for being so “obsessed” with you under the guise of studying your stand.
“I’m just trying to understand its vector spread!”
Abbacchio
At first? Grumpy. Calls you a “control freak.”
After seeing you dismantle a threat without lifting a finger, he starts calling you “freakishly effective.”
Secretly impressed but won’t say it out loud- he shows respect by listening to your advice and following orders.
Will literally grumble “Fine, you were right,” after every successful tactic and stomp off to light a cigarette.
The type to walk into your room late at night like, “…Explain again how you knew that guy would fall for the bait?”
If he ever loses a teammate (even hypothetically), he always goes to you first. You’re his reassurance.
Mista
He doesn’t get all the technical stuff you explain… but he gets that you’re cool and that’s enough for him.
Constantly says “She’s got a sixth sense!” about you even when it’s clearly your stand’s ability.
Loves showing off for you in battle- “Watch this, you’ve got the plan, I got the guns!”
Gets super excited when you include him in plans like “YOU WANT ME TO SHOOT THE GUY YOU TRIP? HELL YEAH.”
Very physical. Throws his arm around you, always wants you sitting near him during team debriefs.
Narancia
Thinks you’re the coolest person alive and tells everyone.
“She’s like a ninja! She doesn’t even MOVE and the enemy falls over!”
Asks you to teach him how to “feel” the field but gets bored halfway through.
You two bond when you prank Mista using your stand- Narancia SCREAMS laughing when you make him stumble over nothing.
Gets embarrassed when you praise him for following plans right. Tries to act tough about it but his ears go red.
“You think I did good, huh? …Cool. I-I mean, yeah. I am the coolest. Heh.”
Trish
Your stand is +aesthetic soulmate energy+ to her.
She’s obsessed with how elegant it is- she says it’s like a ghost ballerina or a heartbeat that wraps around the world.
You and her develop amazing combo attacks- her using Spice Girl to soften parts of the battlefield while you trip and manipulate the enemies.
She helps you with skincare routines. You help her refine her moves.
“I like that you don’t have to shout to be powerful,” she says one day, fingers brushing yours. “You remind me I can be soft and deadly.”
She totally makes you matching outfits for when the gang goes undercover.

I think I’m in love with the idea of Zane ≅ Rei (at least, that’s what I think it’s supposed to be) from your AU!
Anyways, I’d love to see more of it!!!
Zane being the "Rei" of this au was a pretty easy decision tbh. They're already not human, (but where Zane has to reconcile with that fact, Rei is always aware of her biology and learns to become more human over time, so in a way, Zane has a bit of a reversed arc in this au :3) Zane isn't a robot, he's more of a cyborg, so he's got an endoskeleton and robotic parts but he also has fleshy parts too. He lives alone in an apartment unit near Wu who is sort of a fatherly figure to him.
I'm still debating between Wu and Garmadon for who is the Commander but idkk, i need to make a venn diagram or smthn for who'd be a better fit for the "Gendo Ikari" role. Commander Wu and Sub-Commander Misako is also a possibility?
Anyways some more doodles:
zane plugsuit reworks - minus the headset,
the ooze Tank
couple of wu doodles, who's supposed to be 40ish, similar design from to the banishing garm to the underworld flashbacks.
