Ono Island Alabama: Beyond Calm Coasts

Living The Ono Island Alabama Lifestyle
Ono Island, Alabama is the perfect choice for a Gulf of Mexico getaway! It’s essentially the worst-kept secret. It’s entirely too popular for that! Like all of the barrier islands in the area, it features a sugar-white sandy coastline as far as the eye can see. The crystal blue gulf is easy to become obsessed with and will make any Thalassophile jealous! You might even spot Ariel looking for thingamabobs with that Flounder fella. It’s a fun and lazy “Hakuna Matata” no-worries vibe wrapped around your relaxation for those very special days of leisure. But make no mistake! Those days here are also choc full of some of the best excitement we’ve come across in a long time. We're talking epic days of intense water activities, as well as classic southern immersion and good old days spent in the shade! If your heart is yearning for that seaside adventure that will bring it back to life, this amazing coastal community has your back. It’s time to start dotting your map with all of the summertime activities to be had here!
Discovering Natural Marvels
When folks describe Ono Island, it’s all a seaside paradise should be. It’s tranquil calm nestled into the cradle of pristine natural beauty, the kind of place that greets you with open arms and teases you with a full sensory experience. Who needs to be locked in an escape room? Escape into nature, like the locals do year-round. Feel the wind, soak in some vitamin D, and truly begin to run from the chaos. As the gulf waves welcome you in and line the immaculate beaches in this area, the warmth of the sun on your face may push you over the edge. You’ll be sitting in a beach chair in no time. Recover at your leisure for the rest of the day or continue on for a full day of swimming and other beach activities. Or beachcomb to your heart’s content, as different shells wash up with every tide, and, more often than not, you’ll have the beach to yourself.
In addition to the memorable traits that define Ono Island, perhaps the most exceptional attribute of all is the island’s almost complete lack of commercial development. In short, this makes Ono Island one of the last places along the Gulf Coast where you can live in beautiful harmony with the area’s lush natural landscape. No blocked waterfront homes, no high-rise buildings, and absolutely nothing but the same views and tranquil environment you’d expect from a gorgeous living island. In fact, Ono Island features the sort of elegant waterfront homes that invite you to stroll with the island, and it’s these sorts of homes that truly solidify the reputation of the exclusive and discreet coastal living that Ono Island Alabama is known for.
In the end, Ono Island Alabama delivers more than just an unforgettable coastal retreat. What it gives you is a lasting impression of a deep-rooted connection to the world around you — one that lingers long after you’ve left its shores. It’s a place that stays with you and lingers. So come and discover the natural wonders this coastal gem has to offer. Your voyage of discovery and serenity awaits on Ono Island.
Adventure Activities on Ono Island
The exclusive lifestyle afforded residents of the private, gated community of Ono Island doesn’t mean that cheap thrills are annoyingly distant from this luxury community. For the neighbors in the area surrounding Gulf Shores, there are plenty of diversions to punctuate days that — rather than destroy the peace and beauty of Ono Island — only offer different points of view of its riches.
You’ll be seeing more than just a bird’s eye view if you take to the sky. One creative way to suss out Ono Island is to give BeachFlight Aviation a ring. Whenever you feel like it, you can take a gyroplane flight. It’s the ultimate way to go around, mixing in the thrill of flying and the sights of a lifetime along the coast. If you’re an adrenaline junkie, or you just can’t get enough of the endless stretch of sandy beaches and azure waters, the lift-off is half the fun.
If you prefer the thrill of water-based activities, Sea View Tours, based out of Caribe Marina, has you covered. They offer enchanting night kayak trips that let you paddle under a canopy of stars. The tranquil waters and starlit skies make for an unforgettable nocturnal adventure, providing a unique way to experience the Gulf Coast.
Additionally, the Flora-Bama Marina and Watersports offer boat and waverunner rentals for a day filled with sun, spray, and speed. Navigate through the Intracoastal waters of the Old River that runs between Perdido Key and Ono Island. There's nothing quite like the exhilaration of skipping over the waves or exploring secluded coves at your own pace.
So, in reality, a quiet residential space doesn’t mean you have to be stuck on your couch watching the slow-paced transition of the scenery. You can also get a feel of the area’s pulse by pumping up your blood with adventure. Residents of this luxurious neighborhood are never too far away from the fun. The area is proof that being secluded does not mean you’re trapped. Live life and max it out.
Cultural and Culinary Delights
Spending long days out and enjoying the life you earned is no easy feat! It’s both exhausting and appetite-inducing. You can get your stomach pretty worked up with all the activities you’ll have lined up. And while making plans to eat after you’ve had your day out can seem daunting, there are great options for you to visit. Exploration doesn’t only happen in the sand. It can happen on your tongue too. Get ready to map out various flavors you won’t want to miss. Here are a few honorable mentions: Flora-bama Lounge and Oyster Pub: This traditional roadhouse-style pub is well-known for its live music and fun atmosphere. It has received several awards from various organizations, including Best Beach Bar and Best Bar in the US. View our snapshot of Flora-bama. Thus, you really have to go to Florabama to see why everyone is talking about it, whether it's for the Mullet Toss or its main event.
Voyager: You have to pass through another restaurant to get here. It makes you feel like you're heading somewhere special or that you're in a hidden speakeasy. The atmosphere is welcoming and inviting. You can start with a couple of cocktails for an amazing night out. To get you ready for the entrée, quickly follow it with the appetizer of flying fish spring rolls. The flaky Gulf grouper and the succulent tenderloin are two of the main courses commonly requested by patrons.  But wait till the sweets take center stage—lemon meringue pie and banana passion delight are the audience favorites.
If you’re having doubts about moving to Ono Island Alabama, these reasons may be enough to sway you. But if you’re still looking for reasons to go from metropolitan to coastal, take a look at the listings for beautiful homes here: https://localpropertyinc.com/eastern-shore/ono-island-properties-for-sale/

In the books about Judaism I've been reading, there's a repeated emphasis on Jewish history being taught as something that happened not just in the past, but also to the people telling the stories in the present. The narrative is "it happened to us, to me" as opposed to "it happened to them."
This is something I've also noticed a lot in Native communities. They massacred us, they took our children, they banned our traditions, they forced us off our lands. There's no distancing ourselves from our ancestors, from the Native people of the past; their suffering is ours, their grief and pain and fear live in us.
I think this is a vitally important part of how certain groups interact with history; when your people are constant victims of extreme hate, of prejudice, of violence, you cannot afford to distance yourself from the past. The moment you do, you forget and you relax and you aren't prepared when that violence rears its head again. Because it will. If our history has taught us anything, it's that periods of quiet and "peace" (in the loosest sense of the word) for our people are the exception, they're temporary, and we need to remember that to survive.

Lesbian, gay and bisexual people experience exclusion more frequently than heterosexual people. This is the finding of a recent study published in the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin by researchers from the University of Basel and the RPTU University of Kaiserslautern-Landau. According to the study, people who are perceived as less gender-conforming are more frequently socially excluded. This could also affect heterosexual people if they deviate from traditional gender roles. In three studies with a total of more than 3,200 participants in Germany and the U.S., the research team investigated the experiences of exclusion of sexual minorities.

I think some folks in this space who are only into the softer forms of feedism are a little too comfortable treating those into the harder aspects the same way non-feedists treat feedists in general. As in, there’s something inherently abusive and problematic about 100% consensual kink just because it weirds you out and includes risk. But like you’re really not helping anyone babe non-feedists will still hate us all equally and all you’re doing is alienating a part of the community and continuing the same cycle of shame :/ Don’t use us as scapegoats basically

not be able communicate by words means… constantly be misunderstood. misinterpreted. not have any way show own perspective, your side of story. your story always written talked about interpreted read thru other people.
someone did something wrong you. someone hurt you. someone say wrong thing…
someone make up malicious thing about you. maybe that you rude ungrateful bad temper behavior problem. it now become truth it now become you because there no way you correct them.
you can’t educate them. you can’t explain it to them. nevermind that, for example, you severely disabled n having symptoms that impact quality of life, or have symptoms that dare inconvenience people - can only watch as people around you speak “for” you not with your interest in mind but of their own selfishness - that people who can communicate by word say you only do that because you lazy, you selfish, want attention, on purpose, just want to for no reason, faking, inherent personality flaw.
not just big things. more often it those small things that build up every day, happen tens n hundreds of times each day, every day, every week, every month, every year… more often it those small things that add up that break you.
imagine everything bad, incorrect, & bad and incorrect thing said about you in your life. n now imagine you not able defend yourself, explain yourself, or even say those wrong not true.
n any attempt of yours to maybe protest, not enough, people not understand, or downright not listened to, made fun of. at first you shake head make noise meaning no all calm. after while of it not work you get frustrate n it start showing. you get impatient n snappy, why none of you understand, is any of you even trying. but people around you with privilege of able communicate n defend self thus never have experience of not have that, find it such basic of skill that they no longer see it as acquired skill but instead see as innate, born in, natural, cannot imagine person not have it just like can’t imagine living person not breathing—they only see their perspective n only see their interaction n not the many, hundreds n thousands, of previous communication where no one understood you (or even tried to). so they mock you (sometimes they the one who on purpose provoke you to see your reaction like you monkey in cage for their entertainment), geez big reaction why can’t you be patient. n you get label, impatient, rude, explosive, anger issues.
you protest in only way you can without words. you do it by sounds n noises n movement. you raise voice you scream you smash thing around you you hit yourself in frustration you hit other people who don’t understand you because you frustrated at their incompetence n how much they failing you. because. show me another way person can communicate without words. show me way that one can continue do after tens n thousands of misinterpretations n miscommunications n malicious interactions, n still remain calmly, “appropriately.”
you communicate in only way you can with only emotion you can feel at this point: anger, frustration, helpless. be misunderstood, even smallest innocent one, become trauma become trigger. miscommunication alone can set it off, make you see red n see billion of previous miscommunication where everyone failed you n left you to fend for self. then the backhanded jab that sometimes follow, that make thing exponentially worse.
you communicate in only way you can with only emotion left you can feel that consume you. loud sounds, screaming, get physical. it not earn you be understood. it only earn you this: be called impatient, irrational, explosive, land mine, rude, ungrateful, annoying…
“behavior issues.”
and that’s another misinterpretation of you you can’t defend yourself against. cycle repeats.
n other verbal people only listen to other verbal people. so these descriptions of you become “your truths”.
n the true you left there. to rot.
a lot people with no functional communication (either because no ability, or because circumstances) labeled as have behavior issues. yeah, no fucking shit. try it for a while. anyone would “have behavioral issues” in these circumstances.
no one seem to care. so okay fuck yeah am difficult kid, have behavioral issues, make your life miserable. yeah am terrible person, have inherent personality flaw of no fault but my own. except now do it on purpose, make it true now, put ability to control own truth in own hand. because you all seem want me be that so bad. so now you get it. don’t complain now, you all asked for it really really nicely.
but deep down. at most basic. hidden beneath. really just. want be understood. want be helped. want people to learn my communication.
“many behavior is communication” yes, those kind of behaviors should be respected n valued n listened, but try behavior your way out of correcting n explaining everything just said in post to person who just don’t seem to get it
without rely on good grace of nice people around you who keep on play guess games n give out guesses in words you can nod or shake head to. now, that’s cheating.
people not nice to people who *have no choice* but to *only* rely on behaviors & vocal noises to communicate
n, even if every single person nice. behaviors n vocal noises alone, not enough.
this written with full time experience in mind

New Japan Release: October 19, 2024
Welcome the Shima Enaga family (aka long-tailed tit)!
The family set includes parents and 3 standing babies. The box coloring makes me think it's Japan exclusive.
The cabin set includes 3 newborns (man they have a lot of young kids lol). Not sure yet if this one is exclusive or not. EDIT: so in a weird turn of events, I just saw CC posted them as well. Rarely has CC gotten a family the same time as JP! this is very exciting news indeed.

deeply refreshing to see someone critical of Swift who also like, genuinely likes her. Like i'm neutral to positive on her, but the online discourse has been absolutely rancid. flipping between "Taylor Swift has never done anything wrong ever and she's a fucking genius" and "Taylor Swift is the worst lyricist of all time and also a bad person" is exhausting, so thank you for like. nuance or something lmao
not to make it serious for a sec but i genuinely think that being able to like things that are bad is really important. like I think that it's an important skill to be able to look at something and see what you personally enjoy about it and then take a step back and acknowledge that objectively it's flawed. and to also be able to acknowledge that liking something isn't necessarily an identity or a moral stance. and i think that fandom space in general could really benefit from more people taking the time to learn how to do that. it's okay to like things that are bad
#people ask me sometimes why ill occasionally talk about something i like and then go 'but it's bad' and the answer is usually because it is#i love teen wolf. i love genshin impact. i love detective conan. and i fucking LOVE taylor swift. that doesnt mean theyre good#it just means i like them. and recognizing their flaws actually helps me better identify what i like about them!#it's like. in my mind bad > good is the x axis and i like it > i dont like it is the y axis yk. they're not mutually exclusive#tldr it's not that serious. we can all relax a little#irt taylor swift i do also think she has done some real harm to her fans in enabling them to deflect all criticism of her as misogyny#and i don't think it's fully the fault of these people who are parroting that response bc so much of her marketing has deliberately#reinforced this idea that to be a swiftie is to be a part of a sisterhood and that any attack on taylor is an attack on all of those women#who are in that in-group. when that's obviously not the case. but she's marketed herself as. for lack of a better term. 'girl music'#to the point where it makes her fans feel as though any criticism of the music or the woman responsible for it is an attack on their#personal experience of womanhood/girlhood/sisterhood/etc. and that's how you get all of thess bad-faith accusations of misogyny#i don't necessarily think this was her deliberate goal with her marketing tho because like. on first glance such a strong sense of communit#among fans sounds like a great thing. the friendship bracelets i got at the eras tour movie are really genuinely special to me.#but it does present a problem when your fans are unable to separate how they feel about the community and experience your music has fostere#from how they feel about you as a person. especially when you are a billionaire who absolutely CANNOT be above criticism in this economy#anyway. tldr i love taylor's music and i don't think swiftie hivemind is as deliberately malicious as it may seem#but it's obviously necessary to be able to take a step back and look objectively at what you're participating in.#anyway stream ttpd or don't idc <3#taylor swift

Black Myth: Wukong rant because I’m just… so tired of you people.
I hate the community this game has cultivated. I hate looking through the tags and seeing people tearing each other apart over a game based on a story I love.
There’s two stances:
Those who say that merely interacting with the game is in support of all the terrible things the developers have (allegedly) done. Who parade accusations that many have stated were mistranslated and that the situation is far more complicated than it appears.
Those who mock the former by making a straw man of their concerns while simultaneously displaying their misogyny, racism, homophobia, and general traits that make it clear they’ve never touched a woman in their life.
One is slightly more tolerable than the other. Neither make me feel welcome in enjoying this project I’ve been looking forward to for years.
I will be talking more about purple, because I don’t speak Chinese, and feel that I have no authority speaking too much on orange.
Purple people are beyond insufferable.
I think that most of this came from a Screen Rant review that listed one of the game’s flaws as “a lack of diversity.” This is an accurate analysis, and has been warped beyond belief.
I can understand the outrage… a bit. When playing a game surrounding Chinese culture, in which you play as an inhuman character fighting equally inhuman enemies, it doesn’t make too much sense to request racial representation. And when there isn’t any romance, representation for sexual orientations also wouldn’t work. Including anything in those merit would feel forced and out of place, I agree.
But you wanna know what the reviewer wrote?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She was concerned about the lack of women.
She felt unwelcome when playing a game made by rumoured misogynists because there were no women at all.
And she explicitly said that the game was still enjoyable despite this.
She gave it such a “low score” (3/5) because of the performance issues and repetitiveness. By her own rating, the game was listed as “Worth a shot despite its flaws.”
Tumblr media
Everything got so bad they had to take down her name for her safety.
People in the purple category took this review to mean that the “woke left” was “pushing an agenda” and “trying to cancel this game for not having pansexual nonbinary black people.” Which, as I’m sure you can now understand, was not the case. The boycott surrounding this game is purely based on accusations targeted towards the developers, not the game’s content.
Of course, I don’t expect many of the aforementioned people in this category to care too much. I’ve seen the Steam reviews where they praise the lack of women. I’ve read the Reddit threads where they feel grateful that there’s “finally a company who understands the male authority.” I’ve scrolled through post after post on Tumblr that “no one would want to play a game where females jiggle their tits around while doing nothing.”
That last one gets me. It’s really telling what you can learn about a person when they say things like that.
The point is, these people make me feel very unwelcome in a community that previously made me most comfortable.
So let’s recap:
The people who I would find community with are portraying the mere interest in this game as a sin that’s worthy of being blocked and shamed over, and the people who are actually in this community remind me why I’m terrified to walk alone.
I have a lot more that I want to say on this, but I don’t really have the words quite yet, and still need to do a fair amount of research (which I probably won’t be doing because holy shit I’m so done with this). Maybe I’ll come back and add some more, but for now I just might block the tag entirely.
I just feel shitty ‘s’all (◞‿◟)ʃ
