The countdown sound had covered the clicking of the door and Fyodors soft footsteps exiting the bathroom. The audio sounded throughout the living room while you watched yourself dance in the camera.

You had a smile on your face and your hands on your hips as you started lip syncing the chorus, having watched enough videos with lyrics that spelled out the pronunciation to do it relatively accurately. As you brought your hand to your mouth to blow a kiss, Fyodor spoke, making you jump like a cat at the sight of a cucumber. "Ah, that's where my hat went." His voice was soft and smooth, mostly monotonous as usual. You could feel heat focus in your cheeks as you embarrassedly stood there. "Well I wasn't gonna barge in on your shower to ask for it." You said, trying to justify yourself. He smiles slightly in amusement and approaches you, adjusting the hat so that the flaps were hooked together on the top instead of at the sides.

"I believe that's how most people who are participating in the trend are wearing it." He says, pressing a kiss to your cheek with his hands on your shoulders. "You've seen it?" You raise an eyebrow, unaware of whether or not he had recently downloaded tiktok. He shook his head though. "No, it is quite coincidental that this is trending now, though. I had thought about the song the other day, so I looked up the lyrics and the videos were some of the top results. The song was popular when I was young." He explains to you, gazing at you from beyond his eyelashes. Your mouth forms an 'o' shape as you nod in understanding.

"So you don't think it's stupid or anything?" You ask, once again raising an eyebrow. Fyodor seems to think for a moment, gathering his thoughts. "Sort of. I don't really understand the 'slavic-core' thing. I suppose it's appreciation though, and that is refreshing to see." He says, shrugging as his finger rests on his chin. "That's fair." You say, before grabbing your phone and deleting the clip. You look to see if Fyodor is going anywhere before restarting the timer only to be met with him staring back at you. "Should I leave while you film?" He asks with a tilt of his head, his damp hair cascading towards the right side. You hesitantly shake your head, grabbing his hand gently. "No, no, you can stay. You did the hat thing for me, so I don't wanna kick you out." You say. He smiles and sits down on the couch, his soft stare fixated upon your body as the countdown started again.

You blushed, covering the bottom half of your face with your hand as you backed up again. The music started up again and you did the little routine once more, your boyfriend low key amused as he watched with a neutral face. You finished it and retrieved your phone with your tongue poking out of the corner of your mouth as you watched the video over. You thought it was cute, so you wrote out a caption and tags and posted it. Fyodor was still staring at you when you looked back over at him. "What?" He let out a small amused chuckle. "You just look sort of silly, my dear." He says. An embarrassed smile pulls at the corners of your lips as you sigh and nod. "Yeah, I could imagine." You murmur against the skin of your fingers. He pulls you closer to him by your waist, pressing two soft kisses to your side, mimicking the 'mwah' sound in the audio, making you blush a little before trying to push his head away from your body.

"Stop teasing me." you playfully say as he hums against the fabric of your shirt. "I'm not teasing you, Moya lyubov, I'm just reenacting your little video." He claims. You run your fingers through his hair and sigh. Your couldn't complain though, after all, he did let you borrow his favorite hat to participate in the trend.

Lucifer

What is this, MC? You made him a crown? If you give it to him randomly, he's not likely to wear it. Instead, he's going to put it somewhere on his desk where he can see it all the time. Makes some comments about the craftsmanship of it.

If you make one specially for a specific event, he will wear it for a little bit just to make you happy. Doesn't wear it for long, though. He isn't really prone to such frivolity and, honestly, he would rather see one on you.

Probably not too interested in the concept of a crown in general, either. He doesn't consider himself royalty - Lucifer doesn't need something like that to indicate his power and status. Everyone already knows.

He'll keep the crown you make for him. Fascinated by the method with which you created it. Might ask you questions about your technique.

Mammon

Thrilled. You're giving him something you made? Something for him to wear? Does that whole tsundere thing where he acts like he's only doing it to make you happy, but really he's just as happy about it. Wears it immediately and probably for the rest of the day, too.

Make one that matches for yourself and watch him struggle to keep up the act. He really thinks it's pretty cute. Of course ya wanna match with the Great Mammon, MC! No surprise there!

Be careful, though, because you probably put an idea into his head about crowns in general. Mammon wouldn't be likely to actually wear a real one or anything, but aren't crowns usually made of gold and diamonds? Visions of himself swimming in Grimm are flashing through his mind. Starts wondering if Diavolo has a crown somewhere.

Distract him quickly so he doesn't start actually looking for a crown to steal.

Leviathan

What? You made a crown for him? He's so happy about it, he can't think straight. Showers you with praise about how talented you are.

He'll wear it for a little while, mostly because he sees how happy it makes you, but eventually he preserves it in his room. Displays it prominently among his favorite anime figures.

Levi gets all kinds of cosplay ideas. He has so many ideas for you, MC! Won't you help him make some epic cosplay outfits? Together you end up making some crowns out of regular materials that actually look real.

He also prefers to see you in a crown than himself. Asks you to model all the different versions of cosplay crowns and takes a million pictures.

Satan

Surprisingly happy to wear the paper crown you made. Doesn't complain at all or say anything about it. Just accepts it and places it on his head, asking you how he looks.

Asks you questions about how you made it, where you got your materials, etc. He's really impressed, MC. You always surprise him with the things you come up with.

Prepare yourself. Because now he's going to tell you about all the crowns of history. Talks at length about the symbolism of crowns and royalty. It's actually pretty fascinating.

Satan wants you to make smaller ones for the stray cats that live in the garden. He knows they won't wear them for long, but at least he can get some really adorable pictures.

Asmodeus

MC, you're so sweet! He's so happy to wear the crown you made! It looks fabulous on him, too. Settles it into his hair, arranging it just right. Will actually change his outfit to match it if he needs to.

Asmo already has several actual crowns/tiaras that he uses as accessories. Now he wants to do your hair so he can put one of them on you. You'll look stunning and then both of you will have crowns!

Keeps the crown you made in his collection and actually wears it again sometimes.

Makes you a crown in return. Might make one out of paper like you did, but really he could make you one out of anything. Makes sure they match.

Beelzebub

Takes it very carefully and wears it all day. You made it and that alone is enough for him to cherish it.

He doesn't have very strong opinions on crowns in general, but he does like this one. He's another one who thinks it would look better on you than him. Might make you wear it just so he can take a picture of you.

It actually looks kind of tasty… but don't worry, MC, he won't eat it. Though now he's thinking about a crown made of food. What would that even look like? It'd probably be made of donuts. For some reason, that sounds right.

Only make Beel a crown made of food if you don't have any expectations for him to actually wear it.

Belphegor

Whatever you want, MC. He'll wear the crown you made if it makes you happy. He's actually pretty touched that you made it for him at all.

Acts like he doesn't care, but he's secretly into it. Sits up a little straighter rather than his usual sleepy slouch.

Did you know there are a couple of constellations in the human world that are crowns? Belphie learned about them a long time ago, when he used to go to the human world a lot. Will show you any such similar constellations in the Devildom sky.

Stars are a common decoration for crowns, too. If the crown you made has any on it, he'll know you did that on purpose just for him. Won't say anything, but it means a lot to him.

Diavolo

You're giving him a crown you made? He's delighted. Humans are so cute! How fascinating! Do a lot of humans wear crowns? Uses this as an excuse to ask you about human customs. He loves it. Thank you so much, MC!

He will wear it as long as he can. Can't really wear it to important meetings and such, but when he's working alone, he will. Keeps it on his desk forever after that.

He's the only one who might actually wear a crown in real life for a real reason. He's a prince, after all. But he doesn't really need to wear one and he knows it. He's Diavolo. Everyone in the Devildom recognizes him on sight.

Considering how much gold decorates his horns and wings in his demon form, he's basically got a built in crown anyway.

Barbatos

Accepts your gift graciously as always and surprises you by actually wearing it. He's going to comment on how you made it, too. He recognizes whatever technique you used.

Surprises you further by making you one himself. It turns out that Barbatos is really good at making flower crowns. Spends an afternoon in the castle gardens with you, crafting a stunning crown out of various Devildom flora. Teaches you how to do it, too.

Although he wears your paper crown the whole time, he's clearly smitten with the way you look wearing the flower crown he made. He can't keep his eyes off of you.

Saves the crown you made him, keeping it safe in his room. Turns out the flower crowns make pretty good wreaths, too, so you can use yours to decorate your own room. When the flowers inevitably fade, he'll make you a new one without you even needing to ask.

Simeon

Flustered by your gift. Hesitant to wear it at first, but he's easily convinced. Can't believe you went to such trouble for him. You really shouldn't have, MC.

Makes you crown shaped pancakes in return. They're delicious because of course they are.

Although he's a little embarrassed, he's also quite pleased with your gift. He keeps it in his room and puts it on from time to time to look at himself in the mirror. It reminds him of your kindness.

Will wear it when he's having writer's block issues with his novels. Something about it gives him that needed boost of confidence to get him back on track.

Solomon

Accepts the gift with a smile and wears it all day. If you made it with magic, he'll ask you how you did it. If you didn't, he'll show you how you could have done it.

There's a possibility that Solomon wore a crown all the time back in his past. He won't mention it and if you ask, he'll dodge the question. Was he once a king of an ancient land? Maybe. Maybe not. We'll probably never know.

In the present, though, he's more than happy to wear one that you made, MC.

Won't wear it out and about, but will save it. Preserves it in some kind of magical container and keeps it on display where he can see it while he's doing magical experiments.

Luke

Fascinated. Wants you to teach him how to make them, too. So happy to wear the one you made, even takes off his hat so he can wear your crown instead.

You know, MC. He thinks that a crown like this could look really neat as a cake accessory! Asks you to make another one, then bakes a cake just so he can use it as a topper.

Gets more crown related baking ideas. Makes crown shaped cookies. Learns about edible gold so he can make edible crowns with actual gold on them. You've got crown themed pastries for months now.

Keeps the first crown you made him and wears it sometimes because it makes him feel happy. Gives him a little boost in confidence if he's feeling nervous about something.

THE RAFAEL BARBA EDITION

Accessories: do they wear them and what kind?

Rafael wears a few different accessories. He has his tie clips, his suspenders, watch and pocket squares.

Bad habits: do they have any?

Rafael is a workaholic and he is closed off at first so takes a while to open up fully.

Clothing: what's their style and what do they wear at home/out and about?

Rafael wears full three piece suits for work, but is still quite formal when off duty and likes a nice suit with a slightly unbuttoned shirt. He does like sweaters and scarves. Rafael is meticulous about wearing outfits that complement each part.

Date: what would their ideal first date look like? Do they enjoy datenights when in a relationship?

Rafael will wine and dine you at a high end restaurant and perhaps take you to a Broadway show or art gallery, perhaps even dancing afterwards. He enjoys date nights with you and makes sure to spoil you as he feels guilty about his long hours at work.

Emotional: are they an emotional person?

Rafael is an emotional person but doesn’t show it until he feels truly comfortable with someone. He’s an insecure guy who has his trust broken and just feels so much.

Fears: what are they afraid of?

Rafael fears losing you or his mami. He hated losing his abuelita and seeing himself age triggers his worries about leaving you in years to come. He also has some fears about becoming a dad due to how his own treated him and his mami.

Gifts: what makes them happy?

Rafael loves being spoiled. He loves when you cook for him or drop by at the office to see him, as you drag him out of the drudgery of his caseload. He enjoys music and loves getting to spend an evening dancing with you.

Helpful: do they help others, or are they rather selfish?

Rafael isn’t that selfish. Sometimes he gets lost in his thoughts or caseload that he doesn’t pay the usual amount of attention to you, but at heart is he a good guy with a heart of gold. But if you double cross or hurt him then he will not.

Insecure: do they have any insecurities?

Again, Rafael struggles as he becomes more and more older. There isn’t a large age gap between you both but he feels you’re aging so beautifully and not at the same time while he is greying at a high speed. He hates that he found you later in life. But Rafael also has insecurities about himself; he’s just a kid from The Bronx who got to Harvard through working his ass off and he worries he’s never good enough.

Jealous: are they of jealous nature?

Rafael does struggle with jealousy over you. But it is rooted in his own insecurities having had his heart broken before.

Kitchen: can they cook? Do they have a signature dish?

Rafael enjoys cooking some Cuban dishes that he was taught by his mami and abuelita, but he doesn’t have much time usually to do so. He cooks a nice tortilla de patatas and arroz con pollo.

Laugh: what makes them laugh?

Rafael likes a good comedy theatre on the weekend or date night with you. He also loves it when you’re quick witted and snarky.

Morning routine: what are they like in the morning?

Rafael wakes up and groggily makes his way to the shower after getting home late or working into the night in his study. You’ll whip up a cup of really good strong coffee for him which he accepts as if the Holy Grail itself. If he’s not working that day then Rafael will happily sleep in, cuddled up to you.

Night routine: how do they unwind before going to bed?

Rafael has his scotch. He has a little bit before retiring to bed, where you are waiting with a book. Sometimes you’ll narrate whatever book you’re reading, he loves a good book and your voice is so soothing to him.

Occupy: what does their home look like?

Rafael has a pristine home. He works long hours and if home, usually ends up in his study for a while. He has a few bookcases scattered throughout the home filled with fiction and nonfiction. He has a really good coffee maker too.

Pet peeve: what are things they absolutely can't stand?

Rafael can’t stand messiness or anyone who doesn’t pull their weight. He also likes professionalism and respect so anything that goes against that, he dislikes.

Quirky: what's their quirky trait?

Rafael colour coordinates his outfits from his socks, ties, pocket square waistcoat and suspenders. His suit has to complement whatever colour he chooses.

Relax: are they easily stressed out or do they go with the flow?

Rafael has a high stress job and has learned to cope and deal with it all. But he does snap out sometimes and hates when he does it to you.

Spontaneous: are they?

Rafael is spontaneous when he has his days off or vacation days. It is then that he can dedicate himself to you and will whisk you away somewhere or make reservations for shows and dinner for you both.

Truthful: how much of the truth do they tell others?

Rafael is closed off at first. He struggles to open himself up and tell you how he truly feels about whatever it bothering him. Once he feels you’re not going to abandon him then Rafael becomes quite open and truthful.

Upset: are they upset easily? And what upsets them?

Rafael hates seeing you cry, and he hates it even more when he is the one to have made you cry.

Vain: how vain are they?

Rafael is quite the fashionable guy and has his hair and beard trimmed perfectly and his outfits pristine. He worries about his ageing body and looks though too.

Work: what kind of job do they have/would they like?

Rafael enjoys his job but he hates the corruption of the law or police detectives and will stand up for ethics and integrity. He’d like to do work within human rights law or civil rights law.

X-factor: do they have a talent for something?

Rafael has a talent for dancing and has a decent singing voice, although he doesn’t show it much.

Yield: how easily do they give in to something/someone?

Rafael is so stubborn. He is extremely unyielding and especially if he knows he is right. That being said, he has a serious soft spot for you, your family together and his mami.

Rafael is passionate about his job, you & your family and his mami, about fashion too. He also loves literature and collects books.
