Danny Phantom meets Superman. More accurately I should say that Danny Fenton meets Clark Kent.
Let me make this clear cause people seem to forget this: superman is smart. Clark kent is a very intelligent guy. Hes an INVESTIGATIVE journalist. He works with Lois Lane whos a multiple Pultizer prize winner and you know damn well that Lois wouldn’t work with anyone that cant keep up with her in both wits and smarts. He’s good at his job and in some comics he gets Pulitzer Prizes from some of his articles as well. Dude is dumb but he’s smart if you get what I’m saying. High Int. Low Wis.
With that in mind, During an assignment by Perry White, Lois and Clark meet the Fentons in their Amnesty residence to get some quotes on an article that discusses “Everything we thought didn’t exist is now real. Superheroes, Aliens, even Vampires, so why do we not Believe in Ghosts?”
Clark Kent spots Danny and notices instantly that MANY things are wrong with this child. His shoulders are hunched in a way that is intentional and tensed. Like he doesn’t know if he should fight or flee. His eyes are darting around and constantly taking in their surroundings like he’s waiting for something to barge in. His heart is beating far slower than it should. The kid intentionally makes his chest rise and fall but he’s not breathing in any oxygen. All of those are concerning but they can happen in metas. The thing that isn’t normal is that Clark can’t hear any of Danny’s other organs working. Like the kid is a revitalized corpse and his body only thought to bring back half of its needed functions.
So Clark does some digging. He doesn’t want to tell any of the Justice League because this isn’t a Superman job, this is a job for Clark Kent. He gets some help from Oracle and with her word that she won’t say anything to batman, He agrees to update her regularly about the kids situation.
Oracle sends over some VERY concerning documents from an organization called “The Ghost Investigation Ward”. Oracle tells Clark that she’s working on tipping off the Bats and Birds so they can help dismantle the organization.
While sifting through the documents Clark comes across a profile of a “Danny Phantom”. As I said, Clark isn’t stupid. There is definitely a profile of Danny Fenton as well since he’s the son of two world renown ghost hunters. He puts the two and two together and uncovers just the horrible treatment that Phantom has been receiving from his parents, the government, and his peers. Clark is outraged and can’t just stand aside and let this kid suffer. So he makes another trip to the Fenton residence under the guise of needing another quote and sits Danny and Jazz down and tells him that he knows of the terrible lab safety, the immoral experiments his parents do on the regular, the neglect of the kids in pursuit of scientific discovery. He knows and he wants to help. Clark tells Danny and Jazz that there is an apartment available right nextdoor from his and that he can help them get to a safer location and apply for emancipation.
The Fenton kids are shocked at this guy and his immensely kind heart. Danny knows something is up though. Something is up with Clark Kent. He looks like all his life would be spent in the gym when he isn’t at work and yet Danny can’t find a thing on Clarks interest in working out. His baggy clothes somewhat cover up his muscles but his frame is far too wide to be hidden. Clarks heartbeat is slightly faster than the average persons. No human eyes could be that startlingly sky blue. And Danny knows that he has seen Clarks face somewhere but he cant put a pin on it.
The Fenton kids agree and they get brought to metropolis and the emancipation case is no problem with the evidence Clark managed to collect. The kids get the apartment next to Clarks and Clark helps them grow and get better mentally and situationally. Clark knows that in a way he’s trying to make up for his neglect on Connor but he still knows that helping these kids is the right decision.
After a month or so, Clark and the Fenton kids have a rhythm of meeting at each others apartments, getting doted over to make sure that the fentons are well fed and have everything they need and are getting settled into their new life.
Clark hasn’t told the league. Oracle keeps her promise to keep the Fentons out of Batman and the Justice League’s radar. Clark knows that he will have to tell them soon eventually. He knows that things like this wont last. He tries his best to keep these kids happy and support them how an actual caring parent should act.
A few months into the Fentons stay in Metropolis on a cool autumn afternoon, Danny is sitting on a beanbag chair reading a ratty old book that Clark lent him as Clark is typing away on his computer writing up an article for the Daily Planet when Danny looks over to Clark and says,
“I’m Phantom.”
Clark pauses typing and shoots a small smile towards danny, “I know.”
Danny nods in relieved acceptance as Clark straightens up from his hunced over position on his computer.
He pulls back his shirt collar slightly to show the blue suit and red cape. “I’m Superman.”
Danny looks at him and smiles, “I know.”
They both just sit and continue reading and writing with soft smiles on their faces. Comforted at the exchange and that it’s finally out there and eachother knew.
After a while Danny’s obsession gets to be too much. He tells Clark about it and that he has to find a way to sate his obsession of protecting and Clark accepts that it was only a matter of time and invites him to meet the League.
When Superman brings Danny to the Watchtower, saying that the rest of his fellow superheroes were shocked would be an understatement. The Man of Steel and this ghost kid are talking like a father and son.
To say that Batman was pissed that he wasn’t informed of this child is also an understatement. But there is also some amusement and respect under that frustration. Superman managed to keep this kid under wraps and didn’t even alert Batman. Superman smirking and saying under his breath to him “Looks like the World's Greatest Detective isn’t so great huh?” Makes Batman respect the man even more.
In the Watchtower, Danny meets up with Teen Titans/The Team/Whatever They’re Called Now, and meets Conner. Conner is understandably pissed and spiteful that Danny got to have Superman as a father figure.
Conner knows that Superman treating Danny this way is definitely a way of him trying to make up for the faults and breaks he had with his parental relationship with Conner. he agrees with himself that he shouldn’t hate Danny for having Superman as a Dad and the two get along like tinder and matches. Connor still has a grudge against Superman don’t get me wrong, just not as much as before.
Sometimes while the League is in battle, Superman likes to just look for Danny and watch him hold his own against world ending threats. Danny is now truly confident and it’s no longer a facade. He’s no longer hunching into himself to look smaller. He laughs more often now and seems to be genuinely happy. Superman fondly looks at his son as his kids eyes flicker with green fire as he says a shitty ice pun and freezes Metallo in his tracks with ghostly ice.

Cryptid of Smallville Chapter 3
Hey ya'll, this has been a long time coming.
First off, I want to thank everybody who liked and shared! I'm not great at talking to people but know that everything has made me so happy and warms my heart so much that I can barely put together words.
Secondly, I will be writing more, but I definitely won't be able to keep any sort of schedule. I already have a good part of the next chapter started and though it's definitely going to be a shorter one, it will still be good.
Finally, this beast of a chapter. I wrote the first 3/4 of this chapter about a week after I finished the first chapter and then began to second-guess myself about whether people would want an entire chapter dedicated to a lore dump. I fought with myself for literal months before I finally sat down and was like, "You won't be able to do the rest of it until you get this one done, it's important". Finally this morning I sat down and plugged out the last bit of the chapter and after looking everything over again I decided to just post it before I lost my nerve.
Please let me know any critiques you may have, I barely edited this. Thank you so much for the support!! <3 Here's the AO3 link
For as long as he can remember, Danny has always been fascinated by space. Something about the fact that each star out there being home to other planets and all the different things on those planets just tugs at his curiosity. To make it better, it’s infinite, so he can just keep learning about new places for as long as he’ll live. Which might be forever, but he’s trying to not think too hard about that right now.
He wonders what the members of his Fright are up to right now. Jazz it probably trying to psycho-analyze Vlad who claims that his days of evil are over with and that he plans to just be the chill uncle to both the Fenton children. Tucker’s probably hacking into the GIW again just to mess with them. Sam’s probably planning a protest to try and get some of the anti-ecto acts repealed while Mom and Dad help with the research to back her up. Ellie is probably still hanging out with Pandora learning how to fight ancient style. Danny sighed, most of that sounded really fun, and he really wished that he could learn to fight alongside Ellie. He missed his totally-not-twin.
Right now, Danny is basically on vacation until his body is back to being 16. He basically can do whatever he wants, but he does have to go to school to keep up appearances. He’s allowed to use his powers whenever, but not where anybody can see. Which typically means he’s not allowed to go into low orbit to look at the stars because that’s just a bit far for the Kent parents' tastes.
They compromised with the roof.
So here he was, at the highest point of the Kent family home staring up at the night sky with little to no light pollution and not a cloud in the sky. The Milky Way was on full display as the stars all twinkled above. One thing he noticed pretty early on is that despite this not being his planet Earth and dimension, the constellations are the same. He tracked his way through all of the astrological signs, pausing a moment on Libra as he pictured himself as the balance with morbid humor, and then through the popular ones like Orion and the Big Dipper. He glances next to him a moment later when someone settles down on the roof with him.
“Hey Clark, what’s got you up?” Danny asked, turning back to face the sky. It’s been about five months since he started staying with the Kent’s and he’s forever grateful that they’ve been so kind and understanding with him.
“Not much, was finishing up studying for this new unit in science when I noticed you were up here. Heard you sighing, what’s got you worked up?” Clark sat with an arm braced on his knee and the other behind him staring up at the sky as well.
“Just thinking about what my Fri- family is up to. I know time works differently here and it’s probably just been a couple days or maybe even hours for them, but I miss them a lot. They’re a crazy mess, but they’re my crazy mess, ya’know?”
Clark glanced down at Danny, the kid looking a bit lost. He shifted so he was leaning back on both of his hands. “Actually no, I mean, it’s just been me and Ma and Pa out here before you came along. I don’t really have friends at school that I’m close with.” He paused for a moment, staring straight out across the fields. “Mind telling me about them?”
Danny whipped his head toward Clark, scanning his face. “Are you sure? You don’t have to listen to me ramble, I know I can go on and on, and I don’t want to bore you or anything.”
Clark chuckled, “Nah, go right on ahead and tell me about your family and friends, it’d be nice to hear about the people who helped make you, well you.”
Danny paused looking at Clark’s face for a moment before he blew out a breath and turned away to look at the sky.
“My parents are mad scientists,” Danny started. “Not in the ‘we’re building a thing to take over the world’ way, but in the ‘this sounds insane but it’s somehow real’ way. They’re the leading scientists in Ecto-biology and Ecto-engineering, also known as the study of ghostly behavior, biology and the properties of ectoplasm. Ectoplasm is both an energy source and the material that ghosts are made of. They make all kinds of things from weaponry to shield generators to tracking devices all based on ectoplasm. Their crowning achievement however was the portal.” Danny paused here, debating how much to say. “They built a portal to the afterlife in the basement of my childhood home, and it’s the reason I have ghost powers.” He decided to not get into the fact that he walked in and had a whole dimension pulled through him as the portal opened, no need to scare poor Clark.
“Lab safety has always been a thing that was more like guidelines than actual rules in the house, so since growing up in that environment, it led to myself and my family getting contaminated with ectoplasm. I definitely have it worse off than my family members, but each of them has something that’s just a bit off about them. Like my dad lifting things he probably shouldn’t, my mom moving just a little too fast, and my sister does this thing where she’s looking at you and it feels like she’s looking at your soul and it takes her just a little too long to actually blink and then she’s psychoanalyzed you and knows all your secrets. It’s unsettling, but we just live with it. I had a bit of an accident so I got more contaminated which is why I can fly and do other ghostly things.”
“Must be great having people around who’ve studied ghosts and everything when you have ghost powers. If you have them, why were you left with us? Wouldn’t it make more sense to have you stay with your parents who can handle it if your powers get out of control?”
Danny winced at this, “It’s kinda complicated. So I have some responsibilities in my dimension that I kinda need to be bigger for. I have all my power, and who knows maybe going through puberty a second time will make them grow more, but for now it shouldn’t be much. I’m mostly here to get something of a ‘normal’ childhood and to wait it out until I’m my full size again. It’ll be weird because by that point I’ll technically be 26 but hey I’m not gonna have to go through all the ‘adult’ things I need to do, just need to lay low and do some fun kid stuff, maybe do better in school this time around, maybe I’ll be able to pass high school when I get back. Maybe I’ll work on learning some stuff that could be useful like karate, that could be fun, we could do it together! Since we’re both strong we wouldn’t have to hold back against each other!” Danny excitedly looked over at Clark. It was hard to see in the light of the full moon, but it almost seemed like the freckles on Danny’s face were glowing green in his excitement. Clark smiled at his excitement.
“Yeah that sounds like fun, we can ask Ma and Pa together tomorrow.”
“Yeah! It’ll be great, maybe when I get back I can show off that I’m a black belt just like mom. I can show Ellie all my new moves while she shows me what she learned from Pandora.” Danny smiled to himself and yes, those were certainly glowing freckles.
“Who’re Ellie and Pandora?” Danny stilled for a moment, the freckles dimming a bit. Should he tell Clark about the whole clone thing? Should he mention that he’s friends with what basically amounts to gods?
“So Ellie’s like my younger sister/cousin, we are very close and everyone says we could be twins, she’s a bit of a free spirit and is traveling a lot of the time. Right now she’s spending some time with Lady Pandora. Does your dimension have the myth of Pandora’s box?” at Clark’s nod Danny continues. “That’s her, she keeps the horrors in a box that she keeps locked down pretty tightly in the GZ, there’s a whole labyrinth and everything. I did have to help her one time when someone got a hold of it, not a fun time, but hey it was one of the first positive experiences my parents ever had when dealing with ghosts so there is that. Pandora has become something of a doting awesome aunt who can and will teach you how to fight if given the opportunity.”
They lapsed into silence for a bit, Clark content to just sit there while Danny gathered his thoughts.
“Let’s see, I talked about my parents, Ellie, Pandora and a little bit about my sister. So Jazz is the most amazing and overbearing sister known to all kind. She has her heart in the right place, but Ancients if she puts me in soup-time one more time, I’m gonna figure out a way to do it to her and see if she likes it.”
“Excuse me, ‘soup time’?” Clark was baffled. “Actually a few things you’ve mentioned have me confused, what is the ‘GZ’ and why say ‘Ancients’ like it’s a curse word?”
Danny looked sheepish at that. “Right yeah, I forgot, I’m just so used to talking to people who know. So the GZ is also known as the Ghost Zone, the Infinite Realms or the afterlife. Basically it’s a dimension connected to all other dimensions and houses the ecto-entities of the worlds. It’s where all the afterlives are connected together and there are also, like, gods or god-like beings, which are the Ancients I mentioned, there as well as monsters. Basically anything that gives off a whiff of ‘spooky’ is probably connected to the GZ in some way.”
“So your friends in the corn fields?” Clark trailed off giving a dubious look at the fields.
“Yeah, they’re technically ecto-entities. There are places that the veil between thins and sometimes things crossover. Like, I saw in one of the aerospace books that you also have the Bermuda Triangle as a thing, a lot of those incidents are from the veil thinning there and some natural portals opening up into the Infinite Realms. Sometimes they come back out, but it’s likely going to be a different time period than they first went in.”
“So, ‘soup time’?” Clark asked, getting Danny back on track.
“Right! So, you know how I mentioned that my parents make some crazy things? Well some of those things are containment devices, but there’s one that works the best out of all of them, and that is the Fenton Thermos. Basically it’s bigger on the inside and can suck in and hold an ecto-entity until it is released, usually through the portal. It’s very cramped and not a great feeling and my sister is rather clumsy so when she first started helping me, she accidentally sucked me into the thermos six times. Six times! Like I get it, sometimes somebody’s aim can be a bit off, but she kept getting me and not the ghost that was attacking! She’s gotten better and can and will join us on patrol if need be, but she’s more like a backup and also our field medic. She’s going into psychology and stuff for school, but she also wants to be a certified emt, it really couldn’t hurt in our town and with what I do.” Danny paused here, seeming to think about the fact he wasn’t home patrolling his Haunt. “Hey Clark, would you mind going for a short fly around the property with me? I need to move a bit.”
“Yeah, sure we can do that.” Clark got up and waited for Danny before making his way down towards the ground. “So you mentioned patrol? What’s up with that? Also do you have any friends you hang out with?”
Danny started flying in a set route and Clark followed along, curious. “So, you know how I have powers and whatnot, kind of obvious now that we’re actually flying.” Danny and Clark both snorted at this. “So not all things that come through the portal in my basement are good things. I fight whatever comes through and send it back where it came from. Most of the time it’s just animal ghosts that don’t know any better, but there are also ones that know full well what they’re doing and seem to just want to make my life worse. I mean, can’t Skulker lay off me for long enough for me to finish an essay? Honestly.”
“So, you’re a hero, is what you’re telling me? A vigilante?”  Clark asked, and watched as Danny scanned the horizon for anything weird. Well, at least weird for Danny, which, on second thought, Clark decided he would just pay attention to the child-teen next to him. No need to see things not meant to be seen.
Danny glanced over at Clark, “Yes, though it took a while and some misunderstandings for the town to accept that I’m there to do good. There was an issue with mind control and then the mayor was possessed, it was a whole thing, I’ll go into it later. Anyway,” Danny turned down a path between fields. “So I talked about my parents, a bit about my sister and the basics of ghost stuff, how’s about I talk about my best friends in the whole world?” He smiled at this, a fond wistful thing.
“So my best friends are Sam and Tucker, and Valerie is getting there. We had a bit of a rough time before she realized I was the ghost boy she wanted to fight. It was a whole thing, but we’ve figured it out. We’ve got a truce going and she’s starting to hang out with us more and trains with us when she can. She’s this badass hunter in a red power suit with a flying surfboard, it’s really awesome. I mean, it wasn’t when she was unknowingly working with my nemesis, but the suit is now tied into her own ecto-signature so he can’t take it back from her now.”
“So I guess that brings me to my best friends in the whole world, they’ve been with me since before all of this and have stood by me and kept my secret before I told my parents. Tucker is the best hacker that I’ve ever met, and I know a ghost who literally can become electricity. He’s a self-proclaimed carnivore and will not eat veggies unless they’re with an almost equal portion of meat. He’s also the reincarnation of an ancient Pharaoh and will inherit a domain in the GZ when he passes on. He’s been helping out my parents with some of the tech they make and also keeps all our data safe. He also has been working with some people in the GZ to update our tech, specifically stuff for tracking and also medical stuff for ecto-entities. He may hate hospitals, but that doesn’t mean he won’t help when it’s needed.” He paused for a breath here before he basically sighed out, “And then there’s Sam.” His freckles started to glow again when he said her name.
“Sam is awesome. She’s a vegan and a goth and can and will absolutely beat the afterlife into anyone who messes with any of us. She has some level of powers following an incident that had her possessed for several days, but mostly it’s stuff like enhanced strength and speed, nothing too alarming, and juuuust a touch outside of normal for an athletic human, but she also can take and recover from hits almost on my level. She can talk to plants and grow them very quickly and when needed during a fight she can sprout out vines from the ground to help take out enemies. She’s set to take control of a part of the GZ as well when she dies, just as a princess, but still. She’s really smart and knows all this stuff about mythology and the kinds of things that we end up fighting a lot before the rest of us realize what it is and she’s a great shot too.” Danny seemed more content now than when Clark first came out, and while Danny had been right to warn him about the rambling, he found he really liked it when Danny was talking about the people he loves and things he knows about.
“So, what other things do you want to do before you go back? You already mentioned karate, did you want to learn anything else?” Clark asked. They started to make their way back to the house since they found nothing along the edges of the property.
Danny thinks for a moment. Learning new other combat techniques wouldn’t be a bad idea, but he can always learn from masters in the Zone. On one hand, learning politics wouldn’t be a bad  idea, but he has a feeling that it’s probably different in the Zone than in the living world. On the other hand, he was told to treat this time like a vacation, meaning he can just enjoy himself and pursue his hobbies here.
“Well, I haven’t really had the time to do my hobbies or major interests in the last couple of years, so I guess I could do that. I’m not sure where you are with video games, but I’m sure they’re nowhere near what I’m used to, but building model spaceships and maybe I can try out flight simulators at museums. I’d love to learn to pilot, but right now I have the body of a six year old, so that’s gonna have to wait until I’m bigger. I’ve been a bit interested in the mechanics of things too, my dad’s shown me how to solder computer parts together, so I wouldn’t mind learning about how electronics and engines work. I’ve always wanted to be an astronaut, so I’d have to learn some of that stuff anyway.”
“Oh, one of our neighbors has a small plane he uses for crop dusting and sometimes for fires or rescue things if the police or firefighters need his help. We can see if he’d be willing to take us up sometime! I think there’s an aerospace museum in Metropolis that has a flight simulator, but it’s pretty far away, we’d have to go in winter when we can leave the farm for a day, but I’m sure Ma an’ Pa would take us. I’m sure Pa would be happy to teach you about the engines of the truck and the tractor too, though he might not let you do anything except hand him things until you’re older. As far as video games go, I’m not sure what they’re like there, but we only really have an arcade with some fighting games that are pretty cool. I mean, the Mayor’s kid has a home gaming system, but they’re hard to get around here.”
“Aw man, I’m gonna end up spending all my allowance at the arcade aren’t I?” Danny groaned as they made their way up the stairs of the house. Clark chuckled, swinging the door open. “But yeah, all that sounds awesome! I hope we can convince your parents to let us do all that stuff.” Danny yawned. “I think it’s time I actually head to bed though. Tiny baby body needs sleep.” Danny floated his way up the stairs, too tired to use his legs and not wanting to wake the Kent parents with the creaky stairs. “Hey, Clark?” Danny asked.
Clark turned back to Danny, about to head to his own room. “Yeah Danny?”
Danny smiled a small smile. “Thanks for listening to me, I think it helped with me being homesick. To, you know, talk about them all. I do wish I could see them and hang out with them all, but I’m glad that I’m here too. For the first time in a while I’m not responsible for anything, I can actually be a kid.”
Clark smiled back at Danny, “Of course, I’ll listen anytime.” He thought for a moment. “You mentioned before about responsibility, you mean the hero thing right?”
Danny nods at first, then tilts his head to the side for a moment. “Oh, I forgot to tell you, it’s not just that. I’m also to be the King of the GZ when I’m old enough.”
Clark’s face drained and he landed hard on his feet. Breathlessly he asked. “King of the GZ? You mean the dimension that connects all the dimensions? You’re going to be King of it all?”
Danny just nods then sits criss-cross in the air. “Yeah, gimmie a sec, I can make the royal getup appear, you might want to shield your eyes, it’s a bit bright.” Danny called forth his newest transformation, the one that came to be when he agreed to become Crown Prince of the Realms. A bright white light similar to an aurora with static on the edges appeared at his middle and hoarfrost seemed to spiral outwards as the light passed over his body. Left in its wake is medieval looking armor.
Chainmail that seemed to be made from frost under a breastplate of black metal with his logo etched in silver. A cloak that started as a slippery black faded on the edges to look like the galaxy itself was trailing after him. His bracers were a pale silver and the clothes beneath his armor were a black leather-like material. He had white leather boots that went up to his knees and had the same pale silver metal tipping the toes. Above his head an aurora circled and little flakes of snow would drop into his hair like falling stars. Danny himself changed also, he stayed a six-year-old, but his skin faded to a light blue, his freckles began to glow a bright green as they had earlier. His eyes changed and glowed with a similar green light, and his hair turned white as snow and seemed to float as if in water. His fingertips were a deep navy and clawed, his canines elongated and his ears became pointed. On his finger there appeared to be a ring made of onyx with a gem so bright a blue that it almost hurt to look at, though it didn’t seem to light up the place more than Danny himself.
The most startling thing to Clark however, was not his appearance. “Danny, why don’t you have a heartbeat?” he asked, projecting as much outward calm as he could muster while being twelve and internally freaking out.
Danny seemed confused for a bit before he seemed to realize something. “Oh, right, so right now I’m a ghost, and as a ghost I don’t have a heartbeat, you should be able to hear some sort of almost rhythmic buzzing though, that’s my core, it’s similar to a heart and brain for ghosts.” Clark listened closer and relaxed once he found the buzzing sound. It reminded him of the sounds of a plane engine in the distance.
“I also completely forgot that I never showed you my ghost form, so one sec, this one’s a lot brighter, I definitely don’t advise looking at this one.” Clark decided to listen this time, as the last time hurt his eyes.
In a flash of bright white light, Danny appeared once again differently than before. He kept the green eyes, snow-white hair and glowing freckles, but the rest of him looked more like his human form, albeit wearing a black and white full bodysuit. The suit itself was black with the stylized DP logo, white boots, white gloves and a white belt. Danny’s skin was a more healthy tan, though still a bit paler than his human form.
“So this is my usual ghost form, I’ve been able to change into it since I got my powers and it’s why my parents didn’t know I was who I was at first. It led to a lot of miscommunication and getting grounded even though I was out saving the day. Things have gotten much better since they learned about me and then looked at their research and realized a lot of it was wrong. I’m really proud of them, they looked at all their biased papers they had written over the years and instead of doubling down or letting it ruin them, they instead found a renewed vigor and are learning all they can. They’re releasing paper after paper correcting all the assumptions they had made now that they aren’t blinded by their prejudices.” Danny had a soft smile on his face as his eyes and freckles glowed brighter thinking about his parents. He yawned again. “I think I’ve dropped enough info on you for tonight though, so I’m gonna head to bed. You should too.” Another bright flash and Danny was back to being human, feet firmly on the floor.
“Yeah, I’ll do that. Sleep well Danny.” Clark appeared to have reached his limit for processing things as he put some dots together. As he lay awake in his bed he realized that Danny is going to be a king to literal gods.
And he thought his math final was stressful.

Superman x black reader! You get saved by Superman and accidentally call him by his name.
Tumblr media
Okay this isn't how you thought you'd spend your night out all you wanted to do was just spend the day at home baking cookies and binge watching your favorite TV series but no you were forced you go out on a date and now your hanging from the roof top trying not to die! Just great the only reason why you went on a date was because Y/B/N (your Best friend name) thought it'd be nice if you went out and have fun so they set you up with some dude from their job some guy named John don't get me wrong the guy wasn't an asshole but only thing he could do was just talk about himself and how perfect he was he was a total snob the only person you can think about spending a night dinner with was Clark Kent your best friend but no he has feelings for Lois freaking Lane! I mean you can understand she's pretty you can give her that but she is a reporter and he's the freaking Man of Steel like come on dude how's that even gonna work?! Okay maybe the main reason why you don't like her is because you were secretly jealous that she had Clark's attention I mean you've known him nearly your whole entire life she's known him for like a couple of weeks and boom he's all cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs for her! Ugh It must be the red hair the redheads always get all the attention. You snap out of your thoughts as you could hear the rooftop breaking apart.
"Wow looks like this is how I die, ha and I didn't even get to finish House of the Dragon!"
With that you lost your grip and was sent flying through the sky screaming your head off you had your eyes closed waiting for your death but than you'd felt someone holding you tightly.
"It's okay, your safe now ma'am." You open your eyes too see the man of steel himself holding you in his arms with a soft smile on his handsome face, hey maybe almost dying wasn't such a bad thing after all if you get to live like this hehe.
He lands on top of an apartment building he puts you down gently checking for any bruises.
"I'm glad I was able to get to you on time don't worry about the others I took care of the robbers." I let of a sigh of relief giving him a smile.
"Oh man what a relief...Thanks Clark." You stand on your tippy toes to give him a hug but you felt him tense up hmm guess he's not a hugger............wait oh shit you said 'Thanks Clark and not 'Thanks Superman' oh shit! Did you forget to mention that Clark had absolutely no idea that you knew about his powers yeah you accidentally caught him using his powers when you were to go visit him on the farm. We both just stood in silence starring at each other he was able to say something but I cut him off.
"Uh oh wow you caught me in such a perfect timing! Thanks for everything but I'm pretty sure you're busy and I mean super busy well I'll just uh be on my way thanks for everything Clark I mean Superman I mean!" You covered your face with embarrassment you were honestly just making things worst for yourself at this point.
"Y/N?"
I peek through my hands hiding my red face only to see him smiling like a big ass teeth and all smile.
"How long have you known?"
"Since I caught you lifting up your dad's old truck behind the farm.." he looked shocked.
"You've known that long and didn't say anything?!"
"How the hell was I supposed to tell you?! 'Hey Clark I saw you lifting up your dad's truck with one arm want to go fishing later?' Not a great way to start the day Clark Kent!" You say arms crossed he just lets out a laugh walking towards you grabbing you by the waist spinning you around causing you to let out a screech of alarm hands on his shoulders.
"Clark! Put me down!" He does but was still smiling arms around your waist.
"I'm sorry, 'm just happy that you know it makes it easy for me now."
"Huh? Easy for what?"
That's when he gave you a kiss on the forehead causing you to blush he pulled away looking down at you straight in the eye.
"Easy for me to tell you that I love you Y/n." He gives you a tight hug you let out a sign hiding your face in his shoulder smiling.
You'd have to definitely thank Y/B/N after this!
Meanwhile somewhere in metropolis Y/B/N was sitting down eating popcorn watching The House of Dragon until they sneezed
"Is someone talking shit?"

Chapter 3: Moment for life
‘Wait you’re seriously going to go back to work?! What about your hand girl?!’ Her mother asked in a worrisome tone.
‘What about it? It’s fine— Aah!’ She whimpered out as her mom snatched up her hand and pressed her thumb into the wound gently. Even with such a gentle brush over the damaged flesh, it still hurts like hell.
‘Hmph.’ Her mother scoffed with a smirk before letting go of her hand and turning back towards the stove.
‘That’s not funny, mom.’ Cardi mumbled holding her wrist in her free palm, ‘You know the antibiotics only work so fast. Besides, it’s a lot better than it was when I was in the hospital.’
Janice didn’t say anything else, she just stirred at the grits in the pot.
‘Mom, look I need this. Since the fire and the hospital and being stuck here, I have been miserable!’
‘Oh!? I’m making you miserable?!’ Her mother’s head popped up and she turned to fully face her daughter.
‘No. I never said that but you know my job— my career is everything to me. I have to get back out there… see what’s been going on— see what he’s been up to.’
‘Oh Jesus Christ, not him again!’ Janice laughed and threw her hand up and rolled her eyes. She walked over to the sink to gather some water in a cup.
‘What do you mean “not him again”?! He solidified my career! He saved my life!’
‘And had he been there much sooner, you wouldn’t have had to worry about missing work because you would’ve been going! But instead you ended up in the hospital, barely breathing and choking to death because you were doing his job! He risked your life!’
Cardierre rolled her eyes and burst out in hysterical laughter, ‘Wow! You are so cynical! Have you thought for a single second that I went into that building on my own?! I told you this a hundred times! I wasn’t looking for a savior mama. But he did and you should be grateful he did! What would Batman have done?!’
Janice raised a brow as she continued stirring, ‘Don’t bring that fool into this. He ain’t no saint either.’ She paused for a second, ‘Probably would’ve—broken your legs for attempting something so idiotic.’ She snickered.
Cardi’s head fell forward as she tried to hide that laugh but instead, it showed in her bouncing shoulders.
‘Yeah, that guy is a piece of work.’ She sighed out as she pushed her feathery hair out of her face. Cardi then took a step closer to her mother, placing her hand on her arm reassuringly, ‘Look mom. I know you worry for my health. But this is what I want! I’m ready.’
Janice sighed and looked up at her daughter for a long moment, ‘Well you’re grown hell! You can do what you want!’ She said as she brushed her daughter’s shoulders then her chest. ‘I just thought I was doing what was best for ya… that’s all.’ She said softly.
‘I understand but only I know what’s best for me, mama. I flew from the nest years ago, you gotta let me live my life.’
Janice sighed and nodded, ‘I know it. Just— be careful alright? And if you run across that fool in the red cape, tell him I owe him my foot in his ass.’
Cardierre giggled and nodded, ‘I’ll be sure to tell him, ma. I’ll see you and dad later.’ She said as she pressed a kiss against her cheek and scooped her purse up off of the kitchen counter.
***
Cardi had parked in front of the building, gathered her belongings and stepped out of her car. She stared up at the slowly rotating globe with a gentle smile curling on her lips. It felt like years but in reality, it had only been about a month and a half.
‘Ms. Lane!’
She snapped out of her gaze and looked over at the valet, ‘Terrance! Hi!’ She grinned as she shut her door and walked around her car to meet him.
‘Welcome back, Ms. Lane! I heard about the fire and I just want to say you are really brave. I personally wouldn't have done it.’ He chuckled as he placed his hand over his chest.
Cardierre chuckled and placed her keys in his palm as he reached out for them, ‘Well that’s why we’re two different people. Behave out here.’ She said as she walked past him and towards the double glass doors.
‘Yes ma’am!’ He called out.
***
No one expected her to be back so soon. So she found herself laughing at the stunned reactions of her coworkers and members from other departments down in the lobby.
She stood in the elevator, taking a deep breath. She was starting to feel so anxious about being back. Maybe she was afraid that no one missed her. Or she’d been replaced with someone who was more dependable. No, no— Perry wasn’t like that. If he was going to fire her, he would’ve told her already. She knew better than that.
When the elevator dinged and the large metal doors tore apart, Cardierre stepped out into the busy, bustling office. Her ears throbbed at the sound of phones ringing, papers printing, conversations amongst her peers and typing. She left it just like this.
‘H-hey! Look everybody! Cardierre’s back!’ Someone said aloud.
Everyone in the office space had snapped their heads towards the lady in baby blue. Mumbles and whispers filled the room, seconds before everyone stood to their feet and applauded her.
Cardi wasn’t big on attention. Oddly enough with her career choice, she tried to stray away from being the center of it. But now and then, it did feel nice to be recognized for her efforts.
She looked around the room, taking in all the familiar faces and took note of those who called to check up on her and sent her get well soon gifts.
She had given her peers a sweet grin before her wandering eyes landed on Clark who had just stood up and joined in on the celebration. He had this ecstatic grin spread across his lips.
She felt her heart squeeze in her chest, pleased to see his handsome face.
When the clapping had died down, she placed a hand on her chest, ‘Thank you… for the warm welcome back everyone. If only you all knew the things I’ve endured while being away. Recovering wasn’t the hardest part of it all… but my mother is back in town—‘ the room echoed with laughter.
Cardierre chuckled and pushed her hair behind her ear, ‘But on a more serious note, thank you guys so much for not burning this place down and making this my second home to come back to.’
‘Welcome Back Cardii!’ Steve called out before the office clapped once again.
A brighter smile curled on her lips before she looked over to see Clark adjusting his glasses, then running his fingers through his hair. Was he– was he grooming himself?
Clearing her throat, she walked over to her desk where Clark stood. He wore a dark plaid shirt that was tucked into his khaki slacks. The color really brought out the brightness in his ocean blue hues. His sleeves were rolled up his forearms and he donned a dark gray g-shock on his left wrist. What he wore was simple but he filled it out real nice.
‘Hey Cardi, Welcome back!’
‘Thank You, Clark. It feels good to be back.’ She smiled up at him, her big brown orbs studying his features. His skin! He probably had the most perfect skin she’d ever seen! Almost like glass, it was smooth all the way across. Practically like a porcelain doll but so lively. But aside from that, she’d noticed how familiar he was- but she couldn’t exactly pinpoint it.
‘Cardi? Cardi? Cardierre–’ he waved his hand in her face before she had finally blinked her way back to reality.
‘Oh-oh!’
‘Back to Earth now?’ he chuckled as he folded broad arms across his chest.
She chuckled, shaking her head before feeling her face and neck grow warm. She wasn’t exactly the type to be embarrassed about checking someone out but, this was her hot ass coworker. The one who she had caught staring at her a few times before her absence. ‘You good?’ he asked kindly.
‘Yeah, I’m cool. It’s just… I know this is super dumb and maybe it’s all the medication I was taking in the hospital but– Clark have we met before? Y’know like outside of work?’
Clark raised a brow as he cleared his throat, ‘Uh,’ Then he proceeded to rub the back of his neck, ‘What do you mean like–’
‘Like I mean have we interacted or worked together… I just get the feeling that I know you from somewhere or at least, seen you.’
Clark looked down at her as he dropped his hands and shoved them in his pockets.
It grew quiet between the both of them before– ‘Had that been the case Cardierre, you would’ve been hard to forget.’
A smirk curled on Cardi’s lightly glossed lips, ‘And what is that supposed to mean?’
‘It means how could someone possibly forget a smile like yours.’
She laughed and playfully slapped his arm. She allowed her hand to linger there for a moment too long. He was firm beneath his thick plaid long sleeve. She was almost tempted to ask him if he worked out but her attention was stricken by how Perry’s blinds were closed. ‘Where’s Perry?’ she asked, dropping her hand; placing her purse down on her desk.
‘Oh, He had to leave work a little early today. He thinks he got food poisoning.’ Clark gritted his teeth together as he inhaled deeply, then let out a deep breath.
‘Aw no,’ she said in a slight whine, ‘I was hoping to see him today.’ She pulled out her desk chair and sat down, noticing all the “Get Well Soon” trinkets and cards. ‘Aaw,’ she giggled softly and looked up at him for a second before carefully unpinning the card with the tacks.
Clark smiled down at her as he folded his arms over his chest, ‘Mine is on the top. You should look at that one first.’ He seemed a bit more confident than usual.
Cardi looked up at him with a smirk and raised a brow, ‘What are you up to mister?’ she giggled as she gently tugged the light pink ribbon that was wrapped around the card all cute and delicate like.
She then opened up the card and two rectangular cut cards fell in her lap. ‘What’s this?’ She gently placed the card on the desktop and picked up what had appeared to be tickets.
‘Those are tickets to the carnival. I thought it would be a nice welcome back gift… Since you like running into burning buildings – I figured you may enjoy something that would give you an adrenaline rush while being safer.’
Cardierre laughed and spun around in her seat to look up at him, ‘You got jokes huh?’
Clark chuckled and shrugged, ‘Just a few… so,’ he pressed his lips together, ‘What do ya say?’
Her head fell to the side as she crossed a leg over the other, lacing her fingers together and resting them on her knee.
‘You askin’ me on a date?’
Clark was taken back by the question, his whole entire face flushing bright pink at the question. ‘Uh–’
‘You are asking me on a date…’ she smiled up at him.
‘It would be whatever you want it to be… Or," he said, standing up straight. There he was again, scratching the back of his neck and then rubbing his chest in a nervous manner, ‘Maybe you can just take the tickets and go with another frie–’
‘Clark…’ she raised a brow, ‘I told Steve no, on many occasions and on many fun outings…’ she looked away at the word, trying to avoid the term for the moment since it wasn’t official. ‘What kind of person would I be if I told you yes and rejected him all those times?’
Clark glanced off to the side and swallowed his spit. She was right. What was he thinking? She was out of his league! Gorgeous, smart, funny, career driven… he wasn’t her type or –
Cardi laughed out, ‘Oh my gosh, if you could see how you look right now!’
Clark was thrown off by the remark, starting to feel a bit uncomfortable since he felt like she was teasing him.
‘I’m only kidding! Lighten up, man!’ She said as she tried to recover from her giggly state, ‘I would love to go on a carnival date with you.’ Her big humorous grin had softened and eventually faded into a subtle, approving smile. But she never took her eyes off of his face.
He then chuckled and placed his hand over his chest, ‘Well, that’s a relief!’ He said as he adjusted his glasses again, hiding his face. trying his damndest to hide that blush that just burned against his flesh.
She smirked as she spun back around to face her desk and the rest of the cards.
The pair sat in that space in a comfortable silence. Clark just watched her, analyzing. He thought it was cute how when she laughed, she did so with her soul. The sound was delightful to his ears. He’d make her laugh all day if it meant he got to hear it.
Her shoulders would bounce effortlessly, her eyes would shut and her head would fall back carelessly since she just didn’t know what to do with herself.
He liked when a woman could simply let go and be herself; carefree, spontaneous and adventurous.
Perhaps she’d fit perfectly in his complicated world after all.
‘So, you wanna go tonight or—‘
‘I’m down. I kinda—‘ she glanced to the side, ‘Need to get away from my parents for a few hours anyway.’ She sounded annoyed. And that was an understatement. It was nice having her parents around to help her since the fire but now she felt like they were overstaying their welcome. Her mother particularly.
‘Oh. Well at least it’s nice that your parents were around to help. How was your healing?’ He asked a bit concerned, noticing how she balled up her fist as tight as she possibly could.
She let out a whimper so soft, only she and he could hear it. It was itchy. Sore. And sometimes it burned when the wind blew the wrong way.
‘As helpful as they’ve been— they were pretty intolerable.’ She scoffed and shook her head. Then she looked at her balled up fist, ‘It hurts sometimes… too much pressure makes it feel like my skin is cracking but it’s better than what it was.’ She gave him a soft smile.
‘Oh,’ he hissed as she described her healing, ‘I’m sorry— I didn’t mean to pry.’
‘No, it’s fine… I mean— it’s best that the guy who’s taking me on a date tonight,’ she hinted, ‘Gets to know me and how I’m feeling anyway, right?’ She smirked.
An enlarged grin curled up on his handsome face, ‘Well if he’s smart enough he would.’ He chuckled, ‘What time should I come get you? Or… should we just meet there?’
‘I can pick you up.’ She said softly before reaching down beneath her desk and pressing the power button.
Clark was a little taken back by the request, ‘no, no— it’s fine! I’ll come get you.’ He chuckled.
She smiled softly, ‘you sure?’
‘Positive.’
‘OK, well— there’s somewhere I wanna go when we’re done. Is that cool?’ She asked softly with a smile.
‘We can go wherever you’d like.’ He said as he rested his body against the short cubicle wall.
***
‘Whose this boy you’re going out with Cardi?’ A deep voice boomed throughout the condo.
Cardi rolled her eyes as she blended her contour into her cheeks. ‘He’s no boy papa. He is a man,’ she tried to hide the smirk on her lips, ‘a rather, good looking man.’ She murmured.
‘Oh leave that girl alone! When was the last time she went out with a guy?’
Clarence walked into the bathroom, ‘What happened to that handsome fella?! What was his name?’ He pinched and smooth at his salt and peppered beard, looking up as if an answer was going to appear above his head, ‘oh,’ he snapped his fingers, ‘Lee! That’s his name! What happened to Lee!’
Cardierre scoffed and turned around to look at her father, ‘Oh you mean that douchebag that worked under Bruce?!’
‘He was well off!’ He argued back.
‘Pfffft!’ She rolled her eyes as her mother walked in the bathroom.
‘Lee was a selfish prick and I would never go out with him again.’
Janice pressed her lips together and looked over at her husband, ‘She has her mother’s values.’ She shrugged and leaned against the counter, ‘Anyway, who is this guy?’ She asked curiously.
Cardi sighed dreamily as she placed her sponge down on the counter, ‘His name is Clark. He’s so sweet, and funny, and tall, and handsome, and—‘
‘Ugh! OK OK, he’s the whole package.’ Her father interrupted.
She snapped her neck back at her father with this less than amused glare written on her face. Her pretty features, appearing more dramatic than before.
‘Clarence,’ her mother stood up straight and pushed him out of the bathroom, ‘Gone! Gone, GIT! Get out, you ain’t no damn help!’
‘What?! What did I do?!’ He exclaimed.
She slammed the door and locked it. Then she turned around to face her daughter, ‘Unlike your good for nothing papi—‘
Cardierre giggled as she shook her head.
‘I am very happy for you baby. Now, where’d y’all meet?’
‘Well,’ she sighed out, ‘We met a few months ago. He was at the Planet before I was transferred there apparently but he was away…’ she trailed off, ‘But I can’t help but feel like he and I met somewhere before.’ She raised a brow and turned back towards the mirror and applied some setting dust.
‘Hmmm… maybe a passerby? You know your mind is capable of remembering someone you’ve only glanced at.’
‘Yeah…I mean…’ she paused for a second and shrugged, ‘I don’t know. It’s just been 3 years since I’ve been with someone … romantically—‘ she gritted the next word, ‘sexually.’
‘Whoa, whoa— hey I don’t wanna hear about that missy. I’m still ya mama.’ Janice waved her hands in defense.
‘Sorry maaa.’ Cardi trailed off.
Then, the doorbell sounded throughout the condo. ‘He’s here! Oh my god! He’s here! I’m not even done! I’m not even dressed!’ She began to panic! Her heart rammed hard in her rib cage, she began to hyperventilate.
‘Cardi! Cardierre, look!’ Janice grabbed her daughter by her arms, ‘You’re gonna be fine. If he’s anything like you say— he will wait for you.’
Cardi’s full lips trembled, ‘For real? You mean that for real ma?!’
‘Of course sweetie. Lemme go get the door!’
‘OK…’ she said.
***
Clark pressed the blue ring light on the door and stood up straight. He ran his fingers through his hair, pushing the soft feathers out of his face. He then dust off his free hand and held a dozen long stem roses in the other. ‘Alright, Clark. Be cool. It’s cool.’ He cleared his throat before he focused his hearing when he heard footsteps on the other side of the door. That wasn’t Cardierre. Then he remembered…
He gasped.
‘CLAARK!’
Her parents.
Her mother exclaimed and quickly wrapped him up in a hug quicker than he could have imagined. ‘Ooh! Uh—‘ he stood there with his arms open wide, glancing down at the much smaller woman. ‘You must be—‘
‘Janice,’ she pulled away and clasped her hands together happily, ‘Cardierre’s mom! Here are those for her?’
‘Uh huh.’
‘Lemme take those! Wow these are beautiful, Clark. Come on! Come in!’ She grabbed his hand and tugged him inside.
Clark swallowed his spit before scoffing nervously and adjusted his leather coat.
‘Make yourself at home honey!’ She waved her hand about as she searched in the kitchen for a tall vase.
‘Yeah… thank you.’ He then noticed the other heartbeat in the room. It caused him to turn his head to the right. A man, who appeared to be her father, sat in the recliner, rocking back and forward slowly as he smoked on a perfectly polished wooden pipe.
‘Hi sir!’ Clark said as he lifted his hand in a respectful manner.
Clarence just kept rocking with his thick glasses sitting at the tip of his nose. He gave him a gentle jerk of the head as he watched Clark sit down on the sofa across from him.
The space grew eerily quiet. Clark could hear everything at this point. The resting heart rates of the elders in the apartment space, the cars riding on the asphalt several floors down from where they were. But then he heard whispering. Her whispering… he felt at ease for a moment.
It’s alright. It’s only a date. You haven’t been with a man in a few years but you haven’t lost your flare. Maybe if it goes well enough tonight you’ll probably give him some ass… no. No, he’ll probably think you’re a certified slut. Lord, I just hope everything goes smooth tonight… Heaven knows I just want that man to wrap those arms that he so desperately hides from everyone, around me… am I asking for too much?
‘So where y’all headed tonight?’ A deep voice filled the silent void.
The gentle smile Clark had written on his lips had faltered only a bit to focus on her father, ‘Uh, we’re— I'm taking her to the festival. I figured she deserved to have a bit of fun…’ and to get away from you wackos too.
‘Hmph.’
‘Awww,’ her mother cooed as she walked into the living room with a glass of water, ‘How romantic! That was me and Clarence’s first date! He was terrified of roller coasters,’ she giggled aloud as she placed the glass on a coaster in front of him. ‘Poor thing. Do you like that kind of stuff?’
Did he? The man flew around for fun. It was almost second nature to be up in the air. ‘Umm… if you’re asking if I’m afraid of heights, no ma’am I’m not.’ He reached over and wrapped his hand around the glass of water to take a sip.
‘Alright, enough of this small talk shit— are you gonna marry my daughter?!’ Clarence exclaimed, sitting at the edge of his seat.
Clark choked on his water at the sudden outburst.
‘CLARENCE!’
‘It’s a serious question, Janice hush! I’m trying to have a serious conversation with my future son in law— now,’ he turned his attention back to Clark, ‘You gone break my daughter’s heart?’
Clark had just finished recovering from damn near choking to death when he glared at her father, ‘I—I guess! If she wants to marry me, I mean—‘
‘Good answer boy. Good answer.’ Clarence sat back as he took a long drag of his pipe.
Clark then looked at her mother with confusion written in his crystal blue hues.
‘Clark! Are you there?’ Cardi called out from down the hall.
Thank God.
‘Yeah! I’m here!’ He stood up from his spot as he held his glass of water in his hand.
‘OK! I’m coming now!’
Clark took a long, final sip before placing the glass back down on the coaster.
Finally, she emerged from the long hallway. And he was completely mesmerized by her. She wore a gray body con dress that was scrunched up from her thighs to her hips; with two elastic strings tied at her silky smooth thighs. She filled out that dress so nicely; taking up all the room it had to offer.
She donned a silver anklet with a dangling letter “C” on it. And she wore shiny black Tory Burch sandals that brought out the brightness of her White toenail polish. Infatuation wasn’t even the word he’d use for how he felt about her at this moment. Fondness? Adoration.
‘Wow… Cardierre you look—‘ he let out a shudder of a sigh. He never really got to see her outside of lady suits, long skirts and slacks. But he could tell she was much more comfortable in casual clothing than business professional. Which made her all the more gorgeous. ‘Stunning.’
Cardi grinned, her head falling to the side as she clutched her purse strap in her healthy palm, ‘Thanks. Are you ready?’
‘As ready as I’ll ever be.’ He smiled softly.
‘Alright! Well you two have fun now.’ Janice said as she walked over to grab her daughter and practically pushed them towards the front door.
‘Have my daughter home by 9!’ Her father called out.
Clark looked down at his watch and raised a brow, ‘But it’s 9:01?’ It was more of a question than it was a statement.
‘Well have her home by 10!’ Clarence shouted.
Cardierre rolled her eyes as the pair walked out of the door.
‘Oh please. Don’t pay that man any mind, Clark. Y’all come back when ya done. Have a good time babies.’ Her mother said softly, waving her hand happily before she shut the door.
Cardierre let out an embarrassed chuckle before looking up at Clark, ‘Shit. I apologize for my parents. They are…’ she sighed, shaking her head, ‘Overbearing. I hope I didn’t leave you stranded out there like that.’
Clark chuckled and shook his head, ‘It’s alright. I’m not expecting everyone to like me.’ He shrugged, ‘Besides, your father is kind of funny.’ He added as he pushed his thick locs out of his face.
She let out an embarrassed scoff, ‘You think he’s funny now. Give him a while… he’ll annoy you eventually.’ She rolled her eyes.
***
The drive on the way to the carnival was entertaining. It did start out a little awkward since they couldn’t find anything to talk about. So Clark turned on the radio. They sang everything they possibly could under the moon the station could’ve possibly offered.
When they made it to the carnival, Cardi sat in the car until he got out and came to get her door. She thanked him as she placed her hand in his and stepped out of the truck.
Once they made it inside of the carnival, Clark looked down at Cardi who had this look of endearment on her face. She was taking in all of the lights and rides and the games. He was glad he’d chosen to bring her here tonight. ‘So, what do you wanna do first? Wanna catch some rides?’
‘Rides? I never took you to be a roller coaster kind of guy Clark!’ She grinned as they walked side by side.
Clark smirked, ‘Everyone says that. Listen, I may be a nerd but— I know how to have fun too. Come on. Let’s go on that big one over there.’ He grabbed her hand and they walked over to the line hand in hand.
Luckily, the line was short and they were able to get on and experience the tallest rollercoaster at the carnival. With all the loops and sharp turns, Cardi felt like she was going to fall out of that old thing. But the grip that Clark had on her, she just had the blissful feeling of being safe. So when the ride did its second rotation, she was a bit more comfortable now and even found herself screaming and throwing her hands up with her partner.
When they got off that ride, she did her best to stand up straight but her legs grew wobbly. She eventually lost the little balance she had and landed in his arms.
‘Whup!—‘ Clark exclaimed in a bit of a laughing fit as he caught her just in time so she wouldn’t eat the dirt they stood on, ‘You alright?!’
Cardi laughed and stood up straight, ‘I’m good! I just haven’t been on a rollercoaster in ages!’ She cleared her throat and smoothed out her dress. ‘That was so fun.’ She giggled a bit as she looked up at Clark.
Clark looked down at her, his oceanic blue eyes gazing into her pools of honey. He just couldn’t help when he was around her. She was just so pretty. Then he cleared his throat, looking away for a second before he caught a glimpse of a little girl walking past with this big cone of cotton candy.
‘Hey! You down for some cotton candy? I haven’t had any since I was a kid!’
She gazed into his eyes, pressing her full glossy lips together. ‘I’d follow you anywhere… just take the lead.’ Once Cardi realized what she had said, she placed her hand on her chest. That was awfully bold of her.
He then smirked and held his left hand out towards her. Waiting for her to place her hand in his.
She then looked down at his palm; kind of skeptical about this. What if she was just damaged goods? Cardierre wasn’t perfect and had a lot of baggage that hadn't been exactly resolved yet. She was just afraid to scare him away and ruin her chance at a happy life. She knew that Clark was a good man. There was no denying that.
But the other half of her wanted to jump into the deep end! Let go and be completely free with him. He may help heal her in all the right places. But she wouldn’t know, if she didn’t try.
So she smiled up at him and placed her small right hand in his much larger one. And with that, Clark immediately wrapped her hand up in a warm embrace. She braced herself from the searing pain in her palm, but his touch was so gentle— it was almost as if there was no burn there in the first place.
‘Just let me know if it hurts too bad.’ He said softly as they both turned to walk towards the food truck.
‘I will.’
***
The night consisted of them eating a ton of crap that would clog up their arteries. Foot long corn dogs, cotton candy, caramel popcorn, and Fried Oreos. It was a miracle they weren’t hugging the toilets! Between their snack times, they had been on 3 more roller coasters and wreaked havoc with the bumper cars.
‘It’s too bad the Ferris wheel is down! It’s such a gorgeous night!’ Clark said as he wrapped his heavy arm around her shoulders.
‘That’s cool! I have another place in mind though.’ She smiled up at him before looking ahead at the guy trying to lure people in for a game of “Hit The Bell!” He had enormous bears, unicorns, and bananas. Her eyes twinkled at the sight. She wanted one! But before she could say something he spoke up.
‘Hey! Check this out!’ He let go of her hand and walked towards the guy, asking him how much for a game.
‘It’ll be $10 for 3 swings! $18 for 6!’
Little did he know, it would only take one swing.
‘Cool! Let’s do the 3!’ He paid the guy in cash and then took off his leather coat and handed it off to Cardi.
Her eyes slightly grew at the sight before her. Beneath that thick leather coat, he donned a dark blue long sleeved thermal that just hugged his body.
It hugged and outlined his chiseled muscles; defining those curves and cuts. Cardi was flabbergasted!
‘Thank you sir.’ Clark said as the man handed him off the large hammer. Typically, these were heavy, which made the swings a bit tougher. But he lifted it like it was light work.
Cardi held their coats close to her chest, squeezing them as her eyes glassed over with amazement. She was heavily invested.
Clark held the hammer in his fists for a moment before bringing it up and down against the black stump. The black knob quickly flew up and Cardi’s eyes followed it all the way up. When the knob touched the bell, Clark grinned in such a knowing way. Of course he’d win.
‘Alright! Can you do that two more times? Win that pretty lady over there one of these big ole’ teddies!’ The older male said.
‘Too easy.’ Clark shrugged before swinging it once more and again after that.
To say that Cardierre was impressed was an understatement! She was ecstatic! She found herself just smiling out of control.
‘Which one do you want, Cardi?!’ He called out to her.
‘The Unicorn! I want the Unicorn!’ She squealed out happily.
Clark chuckled and gave the gentleman a nod before he watched him grab the metal stick and bring it down from the rack. When the man placed the prize in Clark’s arms, he thanked him and walked over to his date who was dancing happily.
Her tap dancing had stopped and clapped joyfully.
‘Oh it’s so cute! I love it!’
He chuckled before swapping their coats out with the plush pink gift. ‘Yeah. Now, you gotta promise to keep it safe for me.’ He said softly.
She hugged its neck, snuggling the toy with the brightest grin on her lips, ‘I’ll protect it with my life!’ She giggled before they walked off, hand in hand again.
It was now 11:45 pm and they were finally walking out to Clark’s truck. Cardi released her hand from Clark’s and walked to the driver's side. Clark stopped in his tracks, ‘What are you doing missy? I’m supposed to be driving— I’m the gentleman!’
Cardi opened up the back door, throwing the pink unicorn there.
‘Truuue but— I don’t wanna ruin the surprise by giving you the directions,’ she shut the door and stepped to the driver’s door, ‘Just give me the keys and enjoy the ride pretty boy.’ She said as she shot him a wink, stepped on the step and hopped inside of the vehicle.
He chuckled before shaking his head and walking to the other side of the vehicle.

Yay matchups! So hello I hope you’re doing alright and feel free to take your time on this one :)
So my name is Lune, and please make sure it’s platonic. I’m aroace and agender, I’m 17 turning 18 (in a few weeks actually I’m pretty excited), I enjoy skating gaming drawing and playing piano (I’m trying to learn guitar). I should definitely mention that I’m autistic and have adhd, although you aren’t expected to do too much research for me, just keep in mind when going out or when I’m with too many people I end up being difficult, this also means I’m a little picky with the clothes I buy as the food I eat. As for my personality it really depends on the atmosphere and how long I’ve known someone but naturally when we just meet I’m extremely awkward, I don’t go out of my way to greet or talk to people, I usually hide or talk to anyone else in the room, plus I might find an excuse to leave early because of how low my social battery is. When I’m a little closer I’ll start being physically affectionate, of course if the friend allows it, not too much though, but it’ll still be noticeable. Speaking about physical affection that’s one of my main love languages, I am the type of friend to hug or kiss my friends on the forehead, if they’re comfortable of course! Additionally I tend to stim too much, I have a hard time controlling my vocal chords so I might appear like I’m yelling, and sometimes, if I’m in an extremely good mood, I’ll feel like I’m high off of happiness. I know I’m not high but it’s the best way to put it,y cheeks turn red I get all giddy and giggly, I run around the room, I like touching stuff with textures rub my face on it and spin around, it’s just pure hyperactivity. I already mentioned this but since I have a small social battery I might need a lot of space? Like me time. Otherwise things get too overwhelming and I shut down, I might cry even. Me time can vary depending on how long I’ve spent outside the house, like if I spent a few days with someone 3-4. I probably wouldn’t make any plans for another week and a few days. The last thing I feel like I should mention is im a little sensitive, I might not exactly cry but I’ll get hurt by a lot of things.
If this is important at all, which I doubt, but I’m raised in the Middle East, I speak Arabic and I did immigrate to North America.
Anyway that’s it thank you for your time
Hi!! Sorry this took me so long, I may or may not have gone into a depressive episode lmfao. Also I really like your name! Without further ado, here ya go! I am also autistic and ADHD, so we're twinning lmao
I match you with Clark Kent!
When the two of you meet, admittedly, it's a little awkward. Clark was used to being quiet, unassuming Clark Kent, and as you mentioned, you don't go out of your way to engage with new people. And Clark wouldn't want to pressure you, he can see how uncomfortable you are, and he understands that some people just didn't like strangers, simply because they were strangers.
But then the two of you keep meeting, and gradually, you start growing more comfortable around him. Part of this is due to Bruce, who he had gotten used to stealing away when the other hero got too uncomfortable in a situation, and had unintentionally taught him how to spot when someone's social battery was getting low, even if they were forcing themselves not to show it in any obvious ways. So he would guide you away with a comforting hand on your shoulder, and make quiet excuses for you, saying how he needed you to help him with this or that thing, how he was very sorry but it just couldn't wait. If you needed to be alone, in order to recharge your social battery before the next bit of interaction, he would run interference, making sure you had time to recuperate. Half the time he just sicced Jon on them, because his son would also be very fond of you and look up to you as an older sibling, even if he realizes he's your sibling before Clark realizes he's your Dad.
As for sensory issues and being a picky eater or being picky in regards to clothes, Clark has so much experience in this you have no idea. Even if his own children didn't struggle with textures, which they do with both Conner and Jon being ADHD which they inherited from him, he struggled a lot with textures as a kid himself. Granted, part of it was due to super senses overwhelming him before he had gotten his invulnerability, but still. Sensory overload is hell, and he is aware of it. He goes out of his way to try and memorize what textures you enjoy, and which ones you don't like.
I think the first time he realizes how fond he is of you, and that you are absolutely his kid, is the first time you openly show excitement and enthusiasm in front of him. I could see Conner teaching you guitar, or maybe the two of you playing together with you playing the piano while Conner plays the guitar and this man is just- big feelings. Big feelings he has no idea what to do with because those are his kids and he loves them so much he thinks he might die from how strong it is.
He absolutely gets you blankets with texture you like too, and various stim toys. He may accidentally steal one, though, be warned.
I honestly see him as being the sort of person to try and learn more about where you were raised. Does this mean he will be trying to learn Arabic? Yes. Is he very good at it at first? No. Does he have a best friend who's son is more than willing to insult him if it meant he got better at speaking Arabic? Yes, even if Damian could afford to be a little less mean about it.
Another good thing is that Clark is pretty much the ideal for if you feel you cry or get upset easy. He's able to actually communicate his emotions, unlike some (*cough* Batman *cough*) and he knows how to make himself seem less intimidating.
All in all, cool dad. Even as a platonic yandere, he would be pretty chill, although there's more kidnapping involved

I know the song Superman (It's Not Easy) by Five for Fighting is like metaphorically comparing the struggles of the narrator with that of Superman - being a figure who's expected to be seen as invincible and infallible, heavily implied to be like a new parent who wants to give their kid everything, but having struggles and anxieties that they wrestle with to provide that illusion and fill that mythical role. Yes, I am an immovable rock who will never shatter - but men weren't meant to fly with clouds between their knees. I'm more than a bird, I'm more than a plane. Even heroes have the right to bleed.
But it works so well because it's such a great portrait of Superman himself. He too is only a man. He dreams. He's bold and heroic and fantastic, but he understands the frailty of human life and he knows that he's just one guy trying his best. He's just as much the man in the song as he is the figure who the figure is comparing himself to.
He does a lot of good, but he's still Clark Kent, the man who reminisces fondly about his deceased dad. He's Clark Kent, the guy who gets along with Lois Lane and who would take both halves of the world and hold them together under the sheer magnitude of his strength if it were falling apart around her. Now, he could probably physically do that - but it's the weight of how he feels about her that matters. It's something he shares with all of us at our most idyllic selves, with the fantastical element of actually being able to make good on his promise if he needs to - but he's still Clark Kent, the man. He still worries, and regardless of his supernatural ability to help them if he absolutely needs to, he still fiercely wants the people he loves to be okay.
Everything that makes Superman special is - for the last labored lyrical reference in this Tumblr post - the special things he's looking for inside of himself. He works as the impossible figure of a hero that a person might always strive to meet, to keep his family happy and comfortable and safe while keeping up the facade, but CLARK KENT IS ALSO THE GUY. HE'S A GUY. HE'S GOT A HEART PUMPING BLOOD AND EVERYTHING THAT'S AWESOME ABOUT YOU AND ME.
So like the song is a great case study of a man trying to live up to impossible standards and become infallible, which is fallacious and impossible by the narrator's own admission due to the human flaws that are screaming to come out against his efforts to be that sort of figure, but it's an outstanding case study of Superman as the man and the myth. The pretty face beside a train and the guy who acknowledges that men like him aren't meant to fly above the clouds.
And the weight to which I feel that this song exemplifies the duality of Superman so well is only exacerbated by the 10+ years of "what if someone killed Lois Lane and Superman became a fascist", or "what if Superman actually wasn't Superman but was actually Casual Murder Is Okay Man because real people would actually Commit Mass Murder if they were Superman", in almost every significant cultural depiction of Superman.
Like yeah, Evil Superman is a cool concept. But that's all he is to most people nowadays. If Evil Superman existed, who's SO MUCH COOLER and MORE INTERESTING than 1950's NUCLEAR FAMILY BOYSCOUT SUPERMAN, how would BATMAN have to KILL HIM????? Would he drop a KRYPTONITE MOON on him?????? It feels like that's all anyone says or feels about Superman any more.
So like, the song Superman (It's Not Easy) by Five for Fighting maybe isn't meant to be a commentary on the duality of Superman. Superman is explicitly a reference point, the narrator compares his efforts and struggles with the huge feats that Superman accomplishes despite the very human doubts and shortcomings that comes with being a guy in uncharted water who's just trying to do his best - but it's not explicitly "the guy is Clark Kent". It's just a metaphor for this regular-ass dude to vent his insecurities about being a supportive figure despite his insecurities. The comparison is invited, but it's not Literally a song about Clark Kent's relationship between himself and his persona of Superman. I'd even say that this is explicitly not the case.
But viewing it as being a comment on the duality of Superman, it's still one of the most cohesive and straightforward depictions of the guy in the last 20-ish years. It is a superb fucking song.

Batsup soulmate where first words that are written on the skin. When Superman found his and that is Batman. Bruce Wayne couldn't accept and tried to ignored him
Tumblr media
Here you go anon
on ao3
–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
Pairing : Clark Kent/Bruce Wayne
Tags : Soulmates, Canon Divergence, Denial of Feelings
–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
When Clark was ten years old, his mom explained to him about soulmates and soulmarks.
Said soulmates are people who understand us the most. Who love us the most. That his soulmate was gonna love him the most.
Soulmarks are the words soulmates first said to each other. No one can see them other than the person themselves until the words are said. Then the words will crave into skin in black. Like his mom's and dad's.
His mom told him to never say his words to anyone. It's a secret we should keep close to heart. No one should hear the words until our soulmate says that.
So, Clark kept quiet. Never told anyone about his words and never asked what it meant. Even though for his ten year old self they made no sense.
My foundations have already stated a statement in support of the books so. Wow, pretty girl, bad habit, do not quote me.
What does that mean?!
He understood its meaning when he was a teenager. At least, he understood the second line. Must be a player, was is first thought. Just my luck, was his second.
When his dad died, Clark found out that the marks turn gray when a person's soulmate dies. It's doesn't really look good on the skin. But maybe that's the whole point.
He meets Lois Lane before he meets his soulmate. She teaches him love before his soulmate. But along with love, she teaches him heartbreak too. He's happy to be able to call her his friend, still.
The day he meets Bruce Wayne, he realizes a lot of things. Bruce Wayne is his soulmate, Bruce Wayne hates Superman and Bruce Wayne is Batman. Great. Just great. At least the mystery behind the meaning of his marks is solved now.
Going home, while he's taking a shower, he sees the letters craved into the skin of his forearm in bold, black letters.
Clark sighs.
¦
As far as soulmarks go, his one was as clear as water.
Mr. Wayne, Mr. Wayne. Clark Kent, The Daily Planet.
As long as he avoided a certain Clark Kent from daily planet, he'd be fine. Bruce always went out of his way to avoid any questions or interview from The Daily Planet. It earned him some odd looks from Alfred. But the butler has long known better than question his actions.
When he was younger, he thought he was lucky. That he would be able to find his soulmate more easily than many. But that was before his parents died.
Honestly, he had a hard time accepting the fact that after working so hard to avoid The Daily Planet, he still met Clark Kent. And for the cherry on top, Clark Kent is Superman. Nothing is his life is ever simple.
After putting Lex Luther in jail, Bruce tries very hard to avoid Clark. But the recruitment of the other metas still bring them in close proximity.
Clark looks like he wants to talk. But Bruce doesn't. Nope. Bruce wants to run and never acknowledge the fact that they're soulmates. He's not even gonna say it out loud. Even though the bold, black writings stare at him accusingly whenever he takes off his shirt.
Bruce sighs.
-
Confrontation was inevitable. Really, Bruce was this coming from a mile away. The determination burning in Clark's eyes. But just because he knew this was happening doesn't mean he wanted this to happen.
"We should talk?" Clark announced
"Should we?" Bruce retorted.
"Yes, we should. It's not something we can avoid forever Bruce."
"We could if you just leave it be."
"No, why would I want to leave it be? We're soulmates," Bruce winced at the word, "and it's not something we can just sweep under the rug."
Bruce sighs, "Clark, trust me, you don't want this."
"Don't want what? The bond?"
"Yes. I'm-I'm not good at this. Y'know the whole relationship thing. We-I will mess it up."
"Why don't you let me decide what I want?" Clark argued.
"No! You don't understand. A soulbond isn't a casual relationship. You can't break it because you're not satisfied with the relationship. You'll be stuck. Forever." Bruce tried to explain.
"Yes, I know what a soulbond is. But you words are on my arm and I want the bond. I want you. And all the mess and drama that you'll bring." Clark affirmed.
"You have no idea what you're saying." Bruce shook his head.
"Maybe." Clark allowed, "But I guess we'll just find it all out along the road." and kissed him.

Clark Kent (Smallville) Short Story - Chapter 2
Tumblr media
It’s easier when you’re not ducking hallways and sneaking out of classrooms.
Clark’s secret is a lot, but you’re no longer afraid.
Yep, life was looking up.
You grin to yourself, closing your locker and you jolt at the blond right behind it who appears like a ghost.
“What the hell!!”
She smiles.
“Hi, I’m Chloe Sullivan, you must be (Y/N) Wells.”
“How does she know my name! Does she work with the government? Is she trying to find out Clark's secret? I promise I’ll take it to the grave Clark! TO THE GRAVE!!”
“Clark told me about you, I just wanted to say hi.”
“Oh thank goodness.” You exhale.
She quirks a brow. You cough, rubbing your arm.
“S-So uh Chloe you said. You run the torch right?”
“I do! Have you read my work?”
“A couple of them. It’s smart to stay up to date of the crazy stuff that goes on around here. “
She nods excitedly.
“It sure is. If there’s a story, I’ll be there to get it. Which leads me to my next question. Would you be willing to sit down for an interview? I wanted the inside scope on what happened with Kyle.”
You swallow. It’s not so much you’re scared. That memory is just unpleasant. Maybe she notices the uneasy look.
“Oh I’m sorry. If it’s too much we don’t have to. I’m sorry sometimes I just get ahead of myself.” You shake your head, taking a step back. You really don’t want to have this conversation. Your backtrack causes you to hit someone and they grab you by the shoulders to steady you. You turn, and to your relief it’s Clark.
“Hey, are you okay?”
“Y-Yeah. Just had some bad milk this morning. “ Clark releases you, then turns to Chloe for an explanation.
“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have pry. “ She looks a bit guilty, and you offer a little smile.
“It’s alright. You don’t have to feel bad. I’m just not comfortable talking about that. I hope that's okay.”
Maybe someday it won’t hold such a weight. As of right now, putting that incident in the paper would be too much.
“I understand. Sorry again. I’ll see you later Clark.” Chloe walks away and Clark moves to your side.
“Chloe might be a little forward but she means well. “
You got the same impression. She doesn’t seem like a bad person. Just very assertive. You figure that’s a trademark for any good reporter.
“She’s passionate about what she loves. That’s commendable. When she’s a big shot, maybe she’ll still be open to writing my story.”
Clark smiles.
“I’ll put in a special request just for you.” A laugh escapes your lips and he looks happy at the content expression that graces your face.
“Are you busy after school?” He steps a bit closer and you tilt your head.
“Not particularly, did you need help with something?”
You can’t imagine him needing any help to be quite honest.
“No, I was just hoping we could talk.”
That’s strangely vague, but when he’s looking at you like a puppy, you can’t exactly say no.
“Okay, text me the address and I’ll stop by after my club activities.”
His face lights up and you find yourself smiling.
“Okay, I’ll see you then.”
He’s still wearing a smile as he waves, leaving.
You wave back a bit awkwardly.
“This is going to be interesting.”
~~
Your activities take about an hour. You’re very curious about what exactly Clark wants to talk about. That’s why you don’t understand why you can’t seem to get out of the car. There’s really not much of a bigger bomb he can drop. There’s also a very expensive car parked outside.
“I guess farm work really pays off.”
Stepping out of the car, you move towards the cute little house.
As you reach the door, you knock twice.
“Coming!”
It sounds like Clark’s mother. When she opens the door she’s wearing a bright smile.
“(Y/N). Clark is expecting you. Would you like something to eat?” She ushers you inside and you shake your head.
“No that’s okay I’m fine Mrs. Kent.” His dad walks from around the corner, sending a friendly smile as he catches sight of you.
“(Y/N). It’s good to see you again. How are you?”
“I’m good Mr. Kent. T-Thank you both again for what you did. It was really comforting to know that someone knew we were both in danger.”
“Of course sweetheart, We’re really glad everything worked out that day.” Martha speaks. Jonathan moves to her side.
“Clark told us what you did. Keeping his secret.”
You’re a bit tense.
“S-So you both know?”
They nod.
“We’ve known since he was a child that he was special. You might not know this but those green meteor rocks are dangerous for Clark. They're one of the few things that can actually cause him harm. What you did saved his life.”
You’re a bit shocked. Because you had no idea.
“So thank you.”
You nod.
“N-No problem I guess.” You laugh awkwardly and they smile.
“W-Well I-I should probably go see Clark now.”
“He’s in the barn.”
“Barn. Okay, thank you. Enjoy the rest of your evening!” You’re heading out the door and out to the barn. You can’t help but glimpse at the car as you pass by.
“Lex..”
That’s what the plates read.
You’re a bit confused, but you don’t read too much into it.
Walking through the entrance, you look up.
“Clark?”
“Up here.”
So you head up the stairs. You expect your puppy dog eyed friend but you’re greeted with another man.
“OH MY GOSH YOU’RE LEX LUTHOR!!”
Nothing about that is subtle and he smiles. Clark looks like he’s trying to hold in his smile.
“I am, and you must be (Y/N).” He holds out a hand to shake and you do, eagerly.
“You’re actually bald.” It slips out before you can stop it and you’re immediately mortified.
“I-I’m sorry I didn't mean to- it’s just that..I-I..you..”
Nothing can really save you from that.
“It’s alright, I get that a lot.”
You really wish another meteor would come down and strike you. If nothing but to get away from this situation.
“I should get going. It was nice meeting you Ms. Wells.”
“Y-You too.” You bow, you aren't sure why. It just feels necessary.
“I’ll see you later Clark.”
“Bye Lex.”
He’s already heading down the stairs and you turn to Clark.
“Smooth.”
B-Be quiet!! You could have told me you knew Lex Luthor. He’s like ten times more handsome in real life. What other secrets are you hiding!” He simply laughs, moving to the open window and you move to his side. His eyes track Lex as he’s getting into his car to drive off. The sound of his tires echoing. Clark looks a bit thoughtful.
“You’re the only one who knows.”
“Know what?”
“My secret. Aside from my parents, no one knows.”
“Could have given me a heads up about that too.”
“Sorry.”
You just shrug it off.
“They are your parents, I guess it would be weird if they didn’t know. I can’t imagine it being easy hiding the fact that you were affected by the meteor rocks. “
Clark becomes a bit silent for a moment. Almost like he’s contemplating something. He finally seems to come to a solution, because he turns to you.
“I didn’t get these powers from the meteor shower.”
“What do you mean? Are you saying you were born like this?”
“Yes but it's..a little more complicated.”
“More complicated than running a hundred miles a minute.”
His shoulders drop in defeat.
“I’m an alien. The meteor shower, the meteor freaks, it’s all my fault.”
He lets it out in one quick breath and your brain tries to track everything he just said. He turns his back, creating some distance.
“Now you know everything.”
He still refuses to look at you.
After discovering his powers, you were freaked out. But if you were being honest, if he was some evil maniac sent to take over the world, you’re positive he wouldn’t be here attending high school trying to be normal. Neither would he be displaying such guilt. It’s apparent that more than anything he wants to be normal. Treated like a normal person. Have a normal life. But for him, that’s impossible.
There’s no assurance that you can provide for him.
So you do the next best thing.
“At least you’re a cute alien.”
You’ve been known to just blurt what’s on your mind. Maybe this time it might bring him some happiness.
The statement gets the reaction you hope, because he wears a little smile.
“You’re not green and you don’t have black beady eyes. I’m also thankful that you’re not trying to take over our planet. Wait..you aren’t right?”
He just smirks.
“R-RIGHT?”
“I guess we’ll never know.”
“That’s not funny, leave earth alone!!”
Clark burst out in a fit of laughter as you begin to list all the reasons he should not pursue world domination.

Titans 4x01
SPOILERS AHEAD
READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!
WOW, it feels like centuries since I've sat down and written a Titans review.
(Guess who's back-ack-ack...back again-ain-ain...Titans' back-ack-ack...tell a friend-end-end.)
First things first:
Dick & Kori:
-I have never been more well fed than I was today. First scene together and they are these cute little jellybeans I wanna squish!
-Dick's shirt is extra extra tight, like Kori's dreams from the 80s comics tight and open top button. *chefs kiss, thank you costume dept.
-Them both reflecting on the events that apparently only happened a week ago...a week ago, that is the amount of time that has passed. Which I thought maybe it would be a few weeks later. Not 7 days.
-Dick remembering all the things Kori has been battling since meeting her, and listing them on his fingers. Sir? My dickkory heart could not handle this.
-Kori admitting she finally felt free. YASSSSSSS tell Dick that you feel at peace and content beautiful woman.
-I need a moment to address Brenton's ability to show so much emotion with his eyes. I mentioned this last season as well when it came to the Mar'i scenes, but this man could convince me he was in love with a slice of toast.
-Oh!!!! and Dick being confirmed as a Wooo Girl was everything, I fucking knew it!!!!
-I love that Dick is finally talking to Kori when it comes to making plans and doing things together. This is such a growth moment for Dick and I'm glad he finally made it to this point.
Okay, moving on to the rest of the episode:
Connor:
-I really feel for this kid. He's only been around for a short amount of time, but I think he's been hurt too many times.
-Clark Kent really be that dad that says he going to the store for milk and never comes back. I understand he had to go deal with Superman stuff, but a letter, really? Supes needs to get his dad game in check.
-The scene at Star Labs was really cool. Dick and Connor wearing the glasses seeing Superman flying in the galaxy was amazing. (And Dick looked 100% hot in those glasses too).
-I also liked how Dick did a double take when Connor put on the glasses and Connor was like: "What?" and Dick just shakes his head and said, "Nothing." but we were all thinking it, he is Clark through and through.
Gar:
-My bb finally using his powers recreationally?! Using an octopus arm to bowl?! Where has this been all these seasons?! I'm so happy he's turning into other things.
-His scene at Star Labs was really interesting to me. Again, this show really does neglect showing us everything. Yes, I'm glad we saw Gar in his weird dreamscape, but I also would have loved to see him rip apart Star Labs too. Show us more!!!
-I'm actually really interested in why the cult is connected to Gar so much, is it because of Rachel and their close bond? Is he a target?
-For those of you who grew up with Teen Titans, I'm getting big "Beast Within" vibes from Gar right now. Which I wouldn't be surprised at this point given Gar is going to have to figure out control when turning into these other creatures.
Tim:
-Oh my little boy, Timmy. Tim Tim TIMMMM. He wants to be Robin soooooo bad but Dick has him on a baby leash which I think is hysterical. But Dick is right, he needs to learn more before getting handed the cape. Plus, the scene where he hugs Dick thinking he made him a suite was too precious. I really hope when the time comes that Dick goes all out when he gifts him his suite. It'll be a big moment for Tim.
Kory:
-I love that they scanned Kori at Star Labs. She needs to know what she's capable of and what she can do with her new powers.
-Kori kicking ass in Lex's home, ummmm yes please. Her and Dick both being on the same page of not letting Connor go in blind was such a great move. Lex always has another motive. And they were right. Lex was dying and wanted nothing more than to use Connor (or so I thought).
Dick:
-"I hate ninjas." nuff said.
Sebatian:
-I love Joseph Morgan. This man could read me the dicitonary and enamor me. but I'm really interested in how he is connected to the cult and why all this blood keeps appearing everywhere.
Overall, a great first episode. I did think it was a little dry for a season premiere, but I'm happy to be back and active in this fandom again. i have high expectations for this season and hope to see where this storyline goes!

Back on my Superman&Lois salt. This time, it’s actually going to be a series of post otherwise everyone who wants to click keep reading is going to be stuck with an insanely long post.
I am aware that’s kinda part of Tumblr’s Aesthetic but I don’t care. It’s going to be a Series.
Possibly funny note: I did actually open tumblr to talk about how I decided to organize my Literal Salts (I mean literal, the one you have in your kitchen - some salt does not work well with breadmaking okay?) while keeping an eye on my dog. And ended up doing this on tumblr instead.
Disclaimer: It’s a public post so you’re free to argue against any of my points/interpretations, just know I’m not going to respond. This is just a way to organize my negative thoughts about season two of Superman&Lois.
Part One - Jon
Jon-Plot Salt
So the show is clearly gearing up to get Jon merged with Jon-El, right?
Ever since the Pilot, I had a nagging feeling that the show was going to make Jon a villain. Initially, I assumed that was just a various of aspects in my life unrelated to the show (bingewatching soaps, falling-asleep and medical issues that severely impact my quality-of-life).
But this second season has essentially been me “I think they are doing this plot-thread but hope not” and the show going “hahaha it IS that plot threat mwhaha”.
Okay, so I’m imagining the evil-laughter.
Point is: I have been giving this season the benefit of doubt and all it has been doing, so far, is proving I should stop doing that.
Frankly, I don’t trust the show to make Jon merge and then enable him to unmerge. Let alone in one episode. I know, supposedly this is Jon’s Arc mirroring Jordan’s S1 Arc but I highly doubt the show is going to let Jon be merged for only one episode.
And the more this season comes out, the more I doubt they will Unmerge Jon at all.
Take this latest episode (2x11 for those reading in the future and/or time-travelers, hi!) for example.
Jon almost got merged despite not wanting too. Clark just made it in time and while we do get a nice “you’re my son and I love you” from Clark. The next Jon-Clark scene is again the (edit) X-K thing. This scene happens right after Jon is almost merged. There is something to be said about the seriousness of using and covering for a drug dealer but bringing it up right after Jon was nearly forced to merge is, at best, questionable. (end edit)
And there’s also this fact that instead of the show just quietly dropping the “I don’t know how Clark will ever forgive him (Jon)” from Lois* when she found about the X-K. And appearing to try and make it a valid concern from Lois?
First off, it’s just wrong to have Clark Kent be unforgiving in this aspect.
But especially when the show is also doing fucking two plot-threads at the same time where Clark is forgiving two adult characters that have done way worse. I will go into further detail about this in my Clark-Plot Salt post.
And I get that this show is trying to not make Jon’s feeling that his mom and dad no longer love(1) him come out of nowhere. But you can do that without going the way this show has done.
Because they have the basic set-up. Have more scenes where the audience see Clark&Lois discuss their current parenting choices in regards to Jon. Like the scene they had where Lois outright tells Clark she’s mad as well but don’t let it drag on before it’s too long. Have more of that.
But use the fact that the show, since day one, has set up Clark&Lois viewing Jon as the well-adjusted and happy kid. And have them wonder, alone, how they can make Jon understand the seriousness of his drug use. But then have them think that any unhappiness Jon is displaying in this plot is because he’s being punished and misunderstanding the underlying reason until it’s (apparently) too late.
That way, Jon thinking his parents don’t love him isn’t out-of-nowhere but the audience has seen that Clark&Lois are struggling to balance how to punish Jon and still thinking there’s nothing more going on so any unhappiness is a response to being punished. And not because generally-happy kids don’t turn to drugs.
And all this points to Jon getting merged. And honestly? I don’t think the show wants to Jon to stop being merged at all. Let alone in have him only be merged for one episode.
1) While it’s more clear where Jon’s feelings are coming from in regards to Clark. In 2x9, Jon expresses the exact same concern to Jordan he has with Lois hating him that he has expressed previously about Clark. So it’s more obvious with Clark-Jon but, right now? This kid does not think either of his parents love him. That is a plot point.
*Don’t worry, this series will have a Lois-Plot Salt in it as well where I will talk more about the gall this show had to just decide to not let Clark comfort Lois after finding out he’s been gone for a month? The fuck, show? The fuck?
All the Kents gets a salt-plot post. Including Jordan but that will be the shortest, to be fair. Clark gets two, possibly three.
You are at Part One (Jon). Part Two (Jordan) is posted.

the Other Lane.
Tumblr media
pairing : Clark Kent x Reader
requested by: @dashingcavill [Hope you like this! 💛]
warnings: Angst with a happy ending, and a lot of fluff in the end.
A/N: Ah, I'm really sorry I couldn't help but put some major angst in here, but I swear the ending is happy and I added the right amount of feels and fluff to make it hurt less. 💛

Tumblr media
You often wondered if you were born to your parents only to become a commodity that could be compared to your sister, Lois , at all times. Yes, the two of you were different, she had glamourous blonde hair and sparkling blue irises that made her strike out, while you had sombre [Y/H/C] hair and dull [Y/E/C] eyes that peeked out from the tint of your glasses. If the glasses weren't enough to fit you perfectly into the category that was termed as 'nerds', the fact that you loved to bury yourself into mounds and mounds of books, and literature was sure to fit you into that bill. All that comparison, but that didn't lessen the bond that you shared with Lois though.
However, things slowly started changing, the dynamics messing up when Clark Kent came into your life, as a friend and as a colleague.
Lois worked as a reporter for Daily Planet, and you, well you were mostly working in the background, struggling to make a run with your tiny little column on relationship advises. It wasn't like you were any less intelligent, but maybe you just were okay with how everything was going.
It didn't mean that there weren't times at all when Lois made you secretly jealous. To be fair, it didn't bother you when you heard stories of how Lois got herself into trouble yet again, with none other than the Superman came to her rescue. You could still take that, considering the fact that Superman took his duty towards the civilians as his topmost priority, but when you began noticing obvious changes in your sister's behaviour when she talked to Clark, his alter ego; your colleague at work, you couldn't help but start feeling the little pangs of jealousy.
It all began subtly— starting from lingering glances at the workplace, to hands brushing with each other's, almost innocently, yet the two of them had a sparkle in their eyes when it did. At first, you decided to ignore them at work, trying your best to not run into Clark Kent while you were in your office building. The reason for this was still inexplicably strange for you. You didn't even know the man that well, yet you could do nothing in your control to keep your budding feelings for him under check. It was like, the more you avoided Clark Kent, the more you began aching to get a glimpse of him.
As the days passed, you realized that your crush on Clark was slowly getting more prominent, and you started feeling scared, dreading if there ever came a day that your secret crush on him with finally be out. To top it up a notch, you wondered how Lois will react, knowing well aware that there was something blooming between the two of them, although she had never admitted this to you herself. Also, you kept hoping that whatever this was, between Clark and Lois, it was maybe all in your head and that maybe, just maybe, it wasn't even true, and you hoped it wasn't.
Soon, days grew into weeks and weeks flew by as long months, and you realized that what you felt for Clark wasn't just a silly crush, but you were actually falling in love with the man. It was the littlest things that he did that made your heart melt. You would, sometimes, run into him in the cafeteria, where he would be filling up his mug of coffee. He was a gentleman, he would smile and greet you warmly, your eyes meeting his sparkling bright ones as he would move out of the way and insist that you went ahead first. You would often end up taking elevator rides with him, and he would make sweet small talks with you, talking to you about everything, ranging from the weather to a possible alien invasion.
The plan that you had cooked up to avoid Clark Kent went down the drain from those days onwards. Instead, you almost began running into Clark almost everyday. The gossips about Clark and Lois had, by then, died down and you couldn't help but feel relieved, relieved that maybe you had just been dreaming, and there was nothing between Lois and Clark.
"Hey [Y/N], can I borrow your turtleneck? I can't seem to find mine?"
You looked up from the book that you had been binge reading on, flustered and embarassed, as you immediately tossed the book unceremoniously into your blanket. Of course, you couldn't let your sister in on the fact that you were secretly reading the fifty shades series. She would tease the living hell out of you. And then there was the fact that you felt ashamed of the fact that you could practically imagine Clark Kent in your mind as Christian Grey, and it was making you all heated up and bothered.
Lois raised an eyebrow when she saw you red you had turned, "Are you okay? You look like a massive human sized tomato."
"Gee, Lois, thanks?" You mumbled, still reeling from the way she had suddenly barged into your bedroom, as you pushed your glasses over the bridge of your nose, "couldn't bother to knock?"
"Since when do we do these formalities?" She wiggled her eyebrows dramatically, and dashed towards your closet, throwing it open as her fingers began working through the hangers, looking for what she was looking for. She was practically messing up your closet, so you sighed and decided to give her a helping hand. Abruptly, you slid out of the covers, forgetting about the novel that you had hidden underneath and the novel suddenly slipped off the side of the bed and fell to the floor, it's covering full on display.
You facepalmed, burying your face into your hands as Lois walked up to the book and picked it up, smirking obviously as she read out the title out loud just to tease you.
"Looks like my baby sister is finally growing her wings."
"Stop it, Lois. Don't embarass me," you grumbled, looking away. Instead, you dashed up to your closet and pushed her to the side, roughly pulling out your turtleneck as you handed it to her.
"Come on, [Y/N]" she laughed, shaking her head, messing up her perfectly styled blonde waves as she ran a hand through them, "We all have done this. You're not the only one. Nothing to be embarassed about. It's not like you're watching porn."
"It is technically still porn if I'm reading it," you whispered, watching her as she examined the turtleneck and smiled, as though she had pictured just the best trousers to go with it in the back of her mind as she absentmindedly replied back, "Again, sis, we all have done it."
You noticed the way she kept glancing at her phone, with a smile threatening to spill across her features. You raised your eyebrows and smacked your lips together, blinking curiously. She finally looked up and saw that you were staring at her so she grinned, "Guess who has a date tonight?"
"A date?" You asked, absentmindedly.
"Clark asked me out, [Y/N]. He is taking me to this really good Thai place that opened up in the suburbs and I just couldn't decide on what to wear!! This will just go perfectly with my jeans."
It happened so suddenly, but it still did. You felt like someone had just ripped your gut out with bare hands. You suddenly felt empty, was an understatement. You suddenly felt strange and cut off, and everything around you suddenly felt cold and distant and gloomy. You looked up at her, your earlier warmth having dissipated into a cold, dark look and you gave her a smile, biting your lip, "That's great, Lois. Have fun."
Lois noticed the way your face fell, but she couldn't understand or take the hint. She kept watching as you moved away, turning your back towards her and didn't utter another word. She parted her lips, wanting to ask her what had gone wrong suddenly, but decided not to, or rather, keep the discussion for another time. She didn't want Clark to reach before she had even gotten ready. You didn't step out of your bedroom, that night when Lois returned from her date with Clark, and Lois frowned when she saw that the lights to your bedroom were already switched off. You were a late sleeper.
Tumblr media
Two months later,
Lois looked up from the article that she had been reading to find you enter the dining room with a breakfast plate in your hand.
"Mornin'," you mumbled, your voice barely audible as you sat down on a chair in front of her, next to your father, Sam Lane. Your father looked up from the newspaper that he was reading, and glanced at Lois who shrugged her shoulders in response and he cleared the throat.
"Honey, don't you think you've been locking yourself up in your room for long now? When was the last time you actually did something that didn't involve either the bed, or your office desk?" The cutting crispness in his voice was enough to slice through your heart, but weirdly, you felt nothing, ecen when you heard Lois gasp and mumble something to her father in protest.
"What do you want me to do, dad?" You asked, sipping your juice, your eyes fixed to your plate.
Ignoring you, Sam turned towards his elder daughter as he narrowed his eyes at her, his loud, booming voice echoing through your house, "Lois, what the hell happened at work? She just quit? And didn't even give a damn valid reason as to what on earth happened?"
"I don't know, dad. She hardly talks to me anymore," Lois replied.
You chuckled dryly to yourself, wondering when you had become so invisible to the world. You were right there with them and yet they regarded you like you weren't even there.
"It was difficult to get you job at the Daily Planet and look at you, throwing it away for whatever the hell the reason was." Your dad barked.
Your fingers clenched into a fist and Lois visibly tensed. Hurriedly, she stood up and announced that she was leaving. You stood up too, but not for work, but rather to go back to the place that you had locked yourself in for the past two months. When you reached the door, you turned around and regarded your father, mumbling, "Why would you care anyway? You never really did before."
You kicked open your room door and slammed it back shut again as you ran straight for your bed. You were trembling like a leaf trying to detach itself from the tree when you buried your face into the pillow and screamed as loudly as you could into it. You were a mess, a walking , talking, living, breathing mess.
You cried, for almost thirty minutes, until you were out of tears. You then sat up and rubbed your eye sockets, finally taking a deep breath. You were letting Clark and Lois affect you so much, you had forgotten what it was like to live normally. How were you supposed to go on like this? If you wouldn't take a command of your own life again, then how would learn to get back up on your feet? When would you learn to accept that you would never get Clark? He wasn't the one for you.
Feelings are so transient, it's like you can feel them slicing through your insides one minute, and then the other minute, you feel unrealistically numb.
With those sorts of destructive thoughts in your mind, you sneaked a bottle of whiskey that night from your father's liquor cabinet at two am at night. You rolled the window pane and snuck out onto the fire escape until you were climbing up towards the roof the building of your apartment, the bottle in tow.
You fixed yourself on the ledge, using your teeth to twist the bottle cap as you took a swig of it, feeling the warm liquid burn your relentless thirst for relief. Sip after sip, you kept staring at the starless sky, mediating your gaze from the sky down to the glittery buildings.
"Will I ever forget you, Clark Kent?" You whispered, into the thin air, laughing bitterly at yourself as you took the last sip from the bottle before it rolled away. The way the lights glimmered in front of you, and one of two cars drove past your building, looking like tiny little blinking lights from the height you were at, you realized one thing. No matter how bad your heart is broken, the world doesn’t stop for your grief.
You were lost in a turbulence of your own thoughts, so entangled into them, you didn't hear the soft thud somewhere behind you, neither the sound of the faintest footsteps that got closer to you, with every passing second. You took a sharp breath, and slowly stepped over the ledge, feeling shudders all over your frame as the winds hit you all over you. You footing, however, slipped, a sharp scream erupting from your lips as you fell backwards against gravity, your heart almost stopping.
Someone suddenly reached out towards you, gripping your wrist, leaving you hanging from the ledge, your body flailing in the air.
He pulled you with a jerk towards you, and your body hit his front, your hair falling all over your face partially covering it. You felt intoxicated, so much, that you had almost died by falling off the building but you didn't feel the scare, the only thing you felt was a sudden surge of adrenaline.
"WHAT THE HELL?!" Superman growled, through gritted teeth, his eyes sparkling as you jerked you by your shoulders.
"Clark? Is -- that you?!" You slurred, holding on to his cape tight to hold you in place. You were in a weird state of mind, you could see that it was him, but you couldn't figure out if it really was him, or if it was your mind that was playing an illusion on you.
"Are you trying to kill yourself?" Clark fumed, still holding on to you by the low of your back. He suddenly jumped off the ledge, with you in tow, away from the edge, so the two of you were in the middle of the roof now.
"K-Kill myself? No, I.. I.." You stammered, struggling for the right words but your brain felt frozen.
"Two months, and you don't show yourself. And when I finally see you, you're trying to jump off a fucking building?!" His eyes just then fell on the empty whiskey bottle. He growled, clenching his fists tight as he let go off you and walked up to the where the bottle lay, his cape flying behind him. He bent, lifting it up as he examined it, noticing how the neck of the bottle had your lipstick imprints on it. "And you're drunk. To top it up a notch."
Your nostrils flared in an anger you hadn't experienced ever before, your secret feelings finally crushing you completely, mixed with the alcohol that was rushing through your blood. You growled, like a cornered animal, that was wounded yet didn't want to back down. You pushed him, once, twice, throwing out all your pent up anger and frustration into his steely body like he felt no hurt. You screamed, you lashed, you scratched and you cried, finally coming undone, like beads of a rosary coming apart and scattering all over the floor.
Clark's heart broke at the sight of you. He had always seen you as a strong, happy woman, always smiling for him whenever he saw you at work. And this woman, that stood in front of his eyes right now, was far from it.
"I am not weak! I wouldn't kill myself! You give yourself too much importance, to think that someone would give their life for you!" You lashed out.
You were tired of hitting him like a punching bag. He grabbed you by your wrists, holding them together in front of you, pressed against his chest. He slowly moved, so he was towering over you, his back shielding you from unwanted, prying eyes as he gazed into your eyes, trying to find the answer to where all of this was coming from.
"You don't know what you're talking about. Come on, Lois is worried about you."
You couldn't stop yourself when your hand jerked itself free from his hold, and your palm struck his cheek. There was a crackling noise, of skin against skin, and tears formed in your eyes when the realisation hit you, all the intoxication washing off of you. You had just slapped Superman, a man that could snap your neck by grabbing your throat. Yet, he just stood there, too shocked to even register that you had slapped him right across his face and what was worse, he couldn't understand the reason you had done that. Anger was surfing through his veins, but worse than the anger that he was feeling, he was feeling like someone had pulled his heart out, ripping it to shreds right in front of his eyes.
"Why?" He let go off your other hand, his own palm coming to rest against his cheek as you gave you a look full of hurt.
"Why did you even save me, Clark? You should have let me fall. Atleast, it would have spared me the pain of listening to her name flow out of your lips again."
"Why do you hate her so much? She is your sister, [Y/N] and she cares for you. She worries that you're killing yourself and she doesn't know the reason why--" Clark was losing his temper, slowly but surely. He didn't understand you and that was eating him up.
"The reason why? WHY??! Oh Clark can you stop? And listen to yourself. I love Lois, but she needs to stop trying to govern my life. I'm allowed to feel sad, I'm allowed to feel a fucking heartbreak--" You didn't realise, but your lips were trembling now, your eyes leaking salty tears. You shivered when you felt Clark hold you by your shoulders but you didn't push his arms away.
"Who broke your heart?" He whispered, his voice cracking.
"You're fucking daft for a man who saves the world--" Hissing bitterly , you pushed yourself away from Clark's grip and turned towards the ledge but this time, you didn't try anything that would risk your life. You simply revelled in the cold feeling of the wind striking your tear stained face as you took a punctured breath, feeling Clark's breath on the side of your neck.
"Who broke your heart?" He asked again, but this time it was much softer, and it made you bite down on your lip to hold yourself from breaking into a hysterical crying.
"You did, Clark. You broke my heart." You finally whispered, staring into the abyss in front of you, your eyes cloudy and your throat parched as you continued, your lips trembling, "I loved you. Always did, but you never looked at me. It was always Lois. And it killed me, watching you love her, knowing that you will never love me the way you love her--" Clark let you speak, he wanted to listen to you, for you to let it all out, all those bitter things that you had locked up inside your mind, that was slowly eating you up and killing you from the inside. "I am tired of everyone, for you, for my father and for the world to see me as the Other Lane, as Lois Lane's little sister. My name is [Y/N]. I like to draw although I am shit at it, I can sing in the showers and I hate partying. That is me. I want a normal relationship too, but it seems that the world is against me. I fell in love with one man, and turns out, he isn't even human, he is a freaking superhero from Krypton?"
Clark let out a gruff sounding snort, as he looked down at you. Reluctantly, he reached for a strand of hair that was sticking to your tear coated cheek, removing it and gently tucking it behind your ear. He felt a shudder run down your spine, with just a gentle touch of his hand and he smiled, biting his lip. How was he supposed to tell you what the truth was?
"You remember how we met at the cafeteria every morning ? And I let you take the coffee?"
You nodded, listening to him, trying to control the crying that had now turned to sniffles, as Clark kept speaking.
"And the countless times I ran into that elevator with you and me stuck inside for just two floors?"
"You must have been thinking how weird I was. How unlike Lois--" You began, but you were cut off by Clark's voice.
"I used to wonder if there was anything I could do to make the elevators stop working, so I'd get to spend more time with you. Wretched elevators, not once did anything go according to what I wanted." He mumbled, but he had a small smile playing on his lips, while you just looked on, staring at him in disbelief, wondering if your mind was playing jokes with you once again.
"I thought I would take Lois' help, to you know, figure out if you felt the same way, but you never said anything to her."
"What about the date? Lois and you went on?" You asked.
"Well, I --" he shrug, looking down at his feet, sheepishly, " Lois thought you would confess how you felt for me if we pretended to--"
You were too numb to react; so you just blinked in retaliation. Your blood ran cold, and you suddenly felt light headed. All this while, while you had secretly been pining for Clark Kent to love you back, was it actually the other way round? Was Clark going through the same thing wondering if you felt the same for him?
"That was cowardly." You hissed, through pursed lips, "Trying to pretend to be in love with my sister."
"I was in love with the other Lane," he bit his lip, his face slightly inclined towards you, so he was looking down at you, and you up at him, "I think you are amazing. You are intelligent, and smart. And you're unique. There are these little things I adore about you. The way you greeted everyone whenever I was around-- ranging from the security guard, to the building keepers at the Daily Planet.. the way you forgot to wipe your lips after drinking coffee, and you had this froth all over your upper lip giving you a faint moustache?" He chuckled because you literally let out a gasp, suddenly embarassed.
"Then there were those days you had a bad day and you locked yourself up in your cabin, working all day. I wondered if I should just knock, but I was scared you will tell me off--" he continued, his blues peeking into yours. Your stomach fluttering, you couldn't help but laugh, as though a weight had been lifted off your chest suddenly and held him steady with your hand on his arm. Finally mustering enough courage, you pushed yourself on your toes, and reached up, letting your palm graze delicately over his cheek, caressing his cheekbone with your thumb, "I would have never told you off, Clark. Though that's not what is bothering me right now."
"What is ?" He asked, innocently, relaxing under the touch of your thumb.
"You said you're in love with the other Lane, Clark."
His lips creased, slowly tugging upwards into a smile that was enough to make you feel giddy. Superman wrapped a sturdy arm around you and felt yourself being lifted off, until he was practically holding you in his arms, "Mhm, yep? You got a problem, Miss Lane? Or do Kryptonians don't fit the bill ?"
"Oh, hush, Clark. You're such a dork. But will you be.. my dork?" You bit your lip, holding on to him as though your life depended on it.
"I thought... you'd never ask?" He began, unsure of how to properly weave the complexity of his feelings , churn them into words, something only Clark Kent was good at , and not his alter ego, but found himself halted by the soft press of your index finger against his lips and the sweet whisper of your voice against his ears as he held you close.
“I know, neither did I.” You whispered as he clasped your face in his massive hands and gently touched his lips to yours.
Tumblr media
Three years later,
This had probably been the longest that Clark Kent had been away from you, his lover, his best friend, his wife-- four months to be exact. Needless to say, he was excited to be able to see you again, to hold you again.
The familiar silhouette of the cottage on top of the hill came into his view, flowers hanging into tiny earthen pots hanging out on the front porch. The freshly painted white picket fence looked beautiful, and inviting as Lois stood with Martha by the gate, both the ladies sipping tea from their respective cups and saucers. They couldn't contain their smiles when they saw Clark, even though he was covered in what looked like grime and blown up alien intestines?
"I don't even want to know what happened," Lois chuckled, while Martha hugged her son and he kissed the side of her cheek before she scrunched up her nose in disgust at how awful he smelled.
"Well, I guess I'll draw you a bath, you two can talk out here until the baths ready." Both Clark and Lois watched as Martha Kent disappeared into the home and he smiled, when Lois spoke again.
"FYI, she is at the orchard, harvesting the apples for an apple pie," Lois gave him a smug look, fluttering her lashes, "Oh don't pretend you don't want to see her. I can see your eyes darting around, trying to find her. I'll be inside, both of you, just come back in for supper."
He nodded, watching Lois leave and slowly, his fists clenched on either of his sides, he found his way into the tiny orchard that his lovely wife loved to spend most of her time at. He fixed himself by the wooden gate, his eyes admiring you from afar, as you stood on your tiptoes and picked out apples, tossing them into the basket that you held in your arm.
"Need help, Mrs. Kent?"
The basket dropped from your hand as you turned towards the source of the voice, your lips parted in shock. Clark's eyes travelled from you down to your beautiful swollen bump that your loose maternity dress was doing nothing to hide. He chuckled at your response as he walked towards you with longer, faster steps while you simply waddled towards him.
"Jesus, Clark-- I thought you'd miss the birth," you cupped your husband's cheeks in between your swollen fingers as he nuzzled his nose against yours, before kissing you.
"How is my monkey?" He brought his palm to rest against your nine month old baby bump, stroking over the fabric as he whispered against your lips.
"Moving around, not letting me get an ounce of sleep," you smiled, letting your fingers rest over his hand that rested against your stomach, "but I cant really complain now, can I? After all the little nugget's got Kryptonian blood running through their veins."
Clark chuckled, his blue eyes crinkling slightly as he knelt down in front of you, his face in line with the base of your bump as he planted a kiss on the curve of it.
Tumblr media
"Come on, Kal Jr, will you stop bothering your mom? She needs all the sleep she can before you push your way into the world and steal our goodnight sleeps for a while," you smiled warmly, as you peered down at him, running your fingers through his hair and he looked up at you, planting another kiss against your bump.
You suddenly frowned and looked at the brown mess on your fingers that stank.
"God, Clark? What the hell? Did you seriously take a dive in a shit pool?"
He chuckled as he pulled himself up again and his hand once again found the base of your stomach to lay his hand protectively upon.
"Alien blood. You should have seen the intestines that covered me. It looked like noddles dipped in black bean sauce and meatballs--" You smacked him hard against the chest to shut him up, but instead he began laughing, his laughter rumbling out of his stomach as you began dragging him inside with his stained cape.

THOMAS WAYNE B.W.
Request: Hi love, I was wondering if you can do a batmom imagine where both her and Bruce have a child together but they have selective mutism where they only talk to Bruce, batmom and Alfred.
Warning: I didn’t really know what I was doing, fluff, LMAO Jason’s death
A/N: I was really winging it with this one I hope it sufficed for you!

Tumblr media
You and Bruce had been together a long time. Long enough that you had to cry by his side when Jason died. Long enough to help get through the pain of losing him and having Tim fill a void that he couldn't replace. Long enough that you knew the Batman possibly more than he knew himself.
Bruce loved you, he did for a long time. It wasn't until Dick had moved on from Robin did he realize how much he relied on you. Batman without Robin was dangerous, but Bruce Wayne without (Y/N) (L/N)? That would have been even worse.
Life with him was far from perfect but you had found perfection within each day and that was all that matter. No matter how many times you or Alfred had to stitch him up or lecture him for being so reckless, all that mattered was that you got to fall asleep next to him every night. As long as you were safe in his arms, that was all that he cared about.
After years of dating, you had gotten pregnant. It had totally been an accident, but the second that Bruce saw his son's face, he knew that he wouldn't trade it for the world. You had named your son Thomas, after his father. Bruce had nearly cried when you offered the name.
Thomas Wayne had been the exact kind of child that you expected. He loved his father, and he loved his older brothers. Dick was barely out of being Robin when Thomas was born. He was the only reason that Dick willing came back to the manor - and to visit you as well. He was the exact kind of older brother that you wanted for your kid.
Jason on the other hand... you didn't trust Thomas with him without you there as well. He was there for a lot of big moments with Thomas - walking, learning how to talk, potty training. Jason had surprisingly been willing to help - but also was wanting to put your son in less than ideal situations.
The batcave was their favourite place to hide away from you. Jason would show your son all those cool tricks he could do and half the time he would get so distracted he wouldn't notice Thomas walk off and try to grab something sharp and dangerous. It didn't matter, Jason quickly became his favourite and would nearly chat his ear off.
It was when Jason had died did things really change.
Bruce had lost himself. He became violent as Batman, more willing to teeter of his line of morality. He was a changed person, and if it wasn't for you he didn't know how badly he would have ended up. You worried about your lover, a lot. Nothing you did seem to be able to help him over come Jason's death.
It didn't just affect him, it had affect your son as well. Thomas had gone quiet, very quiet for any five year old. It worried you and Bruce. Jason's death had devastated him to a point that you didn't think he would ever be able to go back to his old self. He would talk to you and Bruce just like he always had, Alfred too. But anyone else that came near him? Silence.
You were sure that Thomas had become petrified that if he came close to someone again that he would lose them. Even Dick, the only other person he had known his whole life had been excluded from his life. You felt terrible for your oldest son - you didn't wish it to be this way. No one had.
When Tim came around, you thought things might change. Bruce was slowly becoming his old self again, though he was still haunted by the nightmares of Jason. He was turning back into the man that you fell in love with, the man that would spoil you and call you beautiful, even when you didn't feel like it.
Thomas still remained mute around Tim. He didn't seem to hate the older boy, but he was nervous around him. Tim didn't take this personally, he knew that trauma could look like many forms. He tried his best to make Thomas comfortable around him, while it seemed to make a difference, your son still wasn't the lively child he once was.
You and Bruce truly appreciated Tim for putting in so much effort with him. Sometimes, it felt like neither of you could ever get through to him - Tim was able to do that. You had taken Thomas to therapy, counselling, anything to try and get him to talk about his feelings - everyone you went to he wouldn't say word.
It was when Damian came around did you start to have problems. Damian was the blood son of Bruce, not you. Damian was barely older than Thomas meaning that you and Bruce had still been dating when he was born. You had known about what Talia had done to Bruce, the influence that she had put him under.
The second that it had happened, he had told you. You were mad at first, of course - some other woman had sex with your boyfriend how couldn't you be? It took you a while to understand that he didn't have a choice in the matter. Bruce had been drugged, this wasn't his fault, it was hers.
You detested Damian when he first arrived. He was a reminder of his mother, someone that you despised. Damian felt the same way towards you - just because you were dating his father didn't mean that you needed to pretend that you were his mother as well. He already had one of those, he didn't need another.
Thomas seemed to get angered with Damian quite easily. Damian would tease your son, he didn't understand why he didn't talk. It wasn't something that he had seen before. Not to mention that his people skills were already terrible from being in the League his whole life.
So, when Thomas came running into your room with tears streaming down his face, you had completely lost it with Damian. He was down in the cave with Bruce when you went storming down there. Your face had been tinged red with anger and you couldn't control yourself from losing your shit with the 'blood son'.
Bruce had never seen you this angry. The threats, the pure rage that you had against this little boy that had no right to just show up here and think that he owns the place. You were furious at him for teasing your son for being a mute. Bruce had tried to step in, unsure of what was going on with you but the second that he saw your glare towards him, he knew not to get in your way.
Damian had been through a lot in his short twelve years of life. But seeing you, the girlfriend of Batman, hold him up by the collar of his suit and threaten that if he ever made fun of Thomas ever again it would be the end of him? That made him a little nervous. He had gained a respect for you that day.
He also never bothered Thomas ever again.
"Clark is bringing his son over today" Bruce told you. The two of you were laying in bed. He was laying on his back looking up at the roof while you rested against his chest. You absentmindedly traced the scars engraved on his body. "He's the same age as Thomas and Damian, maybe they can get along."
You scoffed at the idea of Damian getting along with anyone his age. "Okay, maybe Thomas and Jon will get along," Bruce changed his statement. You wanted what was best for your son, maybe a little bit of Kent mentality would help him. He always liked Superman, it had been a while since he was able to visit.
"Dick said he was coming by today, too," you tilted your head up to look at Bruce. "I think he misses me."
"I don't blame him," Bruce pecked your lips. You wished to kiss him for longer, but a loud crash from downstairs pulled you back. Bruce sighed, it was rare that you ever got to spend mornings together like this, something seemed to always ruin it. "I'm going to guess that Dick got here early."
You sighed, but agreed with his assumption. The two of you quickly got out of bed and dressed for the day to see what the hell was going on in your home. The second that you stepped foot down stairs, you couldn't help but let a smile work its way onto your face. Thomas and Dick were both to make breakfast.
"What are my two lovely boys doing this morning?" You asked. Dick nudged Thomas and jutted his head towards the coffee mug on the counter. He grabbed the mug and brought it over to you with a grin on his face. "Morning, baby." You kissed the top of his head and grabbed the hot coffee.
"I wanted to surprise you and dad, and Dick offered to help," Thomas explained to you in a low voice. He was still weary of talking around Dick, but had come a far way from what he used to be like. You looked between the two of them, Dick's cooking skill were less  trusted than your trust in Thomas' - both of which were less than good.
"Thank you, Tommy," You smiled once more at him. "Your father is on his way down, should we get coffee for him too?" Thomas nodded his head and nearly dragged you over to where you kept the mugs. While he poured another coffee, you turned to Dick.
You happily accepted his open arms. "How's my other boy?" you asked him as you pulled away. After being such an important figure in Dick's life for so long, he was always happy to call you his mother.
"Good," Dick responded. Bruce had joined you downstairs and Thomas had much the same reaction with him as he did you. "He's coming along. I remember when he wouldn't even say a word if someone else was in the room other than you and Bruce."
"I'm proud of him," you agreed. "What I'm wondering, is how Alfred let you into the kitchen after last time." Dick laughed at you accusation - but it was true. He had to very persuasively convince Alfred to let the two of them cook you breakfast. "Your bacon's burning," you patted his chest, cutting off his laughing.
You had lots of struggles with Thomas as he grew up. Going through school was difficult. The teachers would get frustrated at him and the kids would bully him. You were sure if he wasn't the son of Bruce Wayne that he would have gotten it a lot worse. As much as you hated the title of being the most famous wife in Gotham, you were glad that some good came out of it.
Thomas had trouble making friends and he rarely brought anyone home to play with. It hurt you and Bruce to see your son so upset sometimes because of how different he was. For a while. Bruce considered training Thomas into being Robin - maybe it would help him gain confidence. However, the second that you brought up the idea to your son, he had shut it down.
You wanted what was best for him, and after all these years neither of you were sure what that was going to be.
If Bruce was any other man, Thomas would have been far to grown for him to be carried around. However, both of your favourite men came towards you with your son latched onto Bruce's hip. "Did you hear who's coming over today?" You asked Thomas, who shook his head. "Clark and his son, Jon."
Thomas looked more excited than you had seen him be in a while. Bruce set him down so that he could go finish helping Dick make you a... delicious breakfast, hopefully. You cuddled into Bruce's side, watching the two boys that you raised work together. The second you looked up at him, he kissed you.
In the corner of your eye, you could see that Dick was blocking Thomas' eyes so he wouldn't have to see you kiss. You giggled at the two of them.
Thomas may have struggled lots in his life, but he had a countless amount of people that were there to support him every step of the way. You and Bruce never once neglected your son because of his condition, it was a learning curve for you both but loving your son would always come first. You were sure Bruce loved him more than he ever loved you - not that you could blame him, Thomas had that affect on people.
Not long after you finished eating breakfast, which wasn't as bad as you or Bruce were expecting it to be, Clark and Jon arrived. Damian had joined you when you were seated in the dining room though didn't say much until you told him that the Kent's were coming over. Much like his father, he was wearing of the Kryptonians.
It had been years since you had seen Jon. He was still just a little toddler who couldn't say much and couldn't control his powers. Now, he was the same age as Damian and well surpassed him in height. Clark was friendly to you, as per usual. When he looked over at Thomas, he was astonished by just how much he had grown since the last time.
"You've gotten so big," Clark exclaimed. He knelt down on one knee to be eye level with Thomas. Although your son liked Clark, he still refused to speak to him. Instead, he let out a beautiful smile and then scurried back over to you to whisper into your ear.
"Tommy says it's nice to see you again. And that he's been drinking lots of milk so that he can get just as big and strong as you," you relayed his words. Thomas tugged your sleeve down again, correcting your statement. "Oh, sorry, hun. He says he going to get bigger and stronger than you."
Clark laughed and ruffled Thomas's hair. Jon, nearly skidded on the floor as he rushed over to Thomas. "Hi! I'm Jon," he stuck his hand out to shake Thomas', to which he did. "Dad says that me and you are going to be great friends."
Thomas nodded at Jon. He held a single finger up to him as if to tell him to just wait a moment. This time, he ran over to Bruce and got him to crouch down to hearing level. He nodded along as words were whispered to him and then straightened back up again when Thomas ran back to Jon.
"Thomas would like to know if you and Damian would like to join him for ice cream this afternoon," Bruce looked over at Jon. Before arriving, Clark had told his son that Thomas was a little different from the rest of the kids as school, but he was still a good heart-ed soul.
"TT, I suppose," Damian answered, crossing his arms. He didn't look to excited to be going but you also knew him well enough that he was quite fond of the frozen treat.
"I'd love to!" Jon grinned. Thomas gestured for him to follow to where you assumed was his room. You looked over at Damian and jutted your head for him to follow as well. Reluctantly, he did. That left you, Bruce, Clark, and Dick together. Clark surely came over for business about the Justice League but you didn't bother to ask.
"You raised him well," Clark complimented you and Bruce. He didn't expect Batman to be such a loving father. Thomas needed that extra bit of love more than the other boys.
"Did we?" You asked. "I just want him to be happy, I feel like most of the time he isn't. We've gotten used to his muteness but a lot of the kids at school make fun of him for it. I worry about him."
"You're doing great, (Y/N)," Dick assured. He brought you into a side hug and kissed the top of your head. Even those you raised him for much of his life, now it seemed that he was the one that would parent you. "Thomas is a great kid, I don't think that anything is going to stop him from being happy when he's got you."
A series of laughs could be heard from upstairs. The harmony of noise brought a smile to your face. Even though you had your ups and downs raising your child in this hectic life, he was still turning out pretty okay.
Maybe you and Bruce didn't do so bad after all.

Smallville Clark Kent x black reader warning agst so get some tissues! Clark finds out that you are dying from cancer
Tumblr media
it was on a Monday when he noticed something off about Y/N, you were quiet usually you'd talk his ear off about this new comic idea or new cake recipe for him to try and give to his parents back him but you were silent the whole day he tries to ask what was wrong but you just smiled and said "It's nothing I just didn't get that much sleep last night don't worry!" He didn't believe you but didn't want to overstep any boundaries
Than it was Tuesday you'd come over to help him study or have a movie night but you didn't show up he called your place but there was no answer he was worried so he speed over fast when he got to your house he could hear small crying coming from inside so he rushed in to see you holding a picture frame of your parents who died in a car crash all he could do was sit next too you on the floor and hug you he hates seeing you cry
Wednesday wasn't any better you had fainted Chole was there when it happened they were talking about something than the next thing Chole knew was that you were falling over laying on the ground not responding to anyone, Clark dropped everything to see if you were okay he stayed by your side the whole day at the nurses office and he took you home
Thursday it was okay he was at your house looking at a movie until you had asked him "Who would you rather spend your last days on earth with Clark?" That surprised him what even brought this along you just shrugged your shoulders leaning on his shoulder he said he'd spend it with you because you were the only one besides his parents who knew him the best that made you smile
Friday he went to your house to see if you wanted to help him find the perfect gift for Lana's birthday but he could hear crying when he turned the corner he saw your aunt crying into your uncles arms it was an ambulance taking someone away he nearly passed out could see you on a stretcher people carrying you away he didn't hesitate to rush over to see what was going on he tried to asking your aunt and uncle what had happened but they didn't know because they had just came home from the store and saw you on the floor unconscious blood dripping down your nose. Clark rode with your aunt and uncle to the hospital he didn't know what was going on
Saturday....He stayed by your side the whole day and night he called Chole to tell her what happened she along with Lois and his parents came to give their support his mother hugged him telling him that you were going to be okay his dad put a hand on his shoulder he didn't know how to feel about all this you were once happy smiling and healthy as a horse but this whole week you've been acting weird and this is the second time you've fainted your family knew something but didn't want to tell him because they didn't feel like it was their place to say anything at first he was angry that they were keeping secrets from him but immediately calm down when he remembered this was hurting them as much as it was hurting him he just wanted to know why...why was this happening? They all say and waited the doctor came out saying that you were awake your uncle had said that Clark could go see you first he immediately walked in closing the door behind him only to see you laying in the bed with a needle in your arm and a tube in your nose when you turned a smile graced your lips he immediately rushed over to sit and grab your hand in his giving a small smile back everything about you made his life worth living for you were his sun
"Clark...I have to tell you something please don't be upset..."
"Whatever you have to tell me can wait when you leave the hospital. We'll have movie night and talk about comics or play with the farm animals like we always do okay?"
But you just shook your head giving him a tired and sad smile he didn't understand why you were giving him that look giving his hand a tight squeeze eye's watering.
"Clark...i'm really sick...things won't be the same so when I tell you this you have to promise me...whatever happens you'll always remember me in the good light okay?"
He didn't understand or more like he didn't want too but he just gave a small nod saying that he promised.
"Clark...I...I have cancer..." It was like time itself had stop the only word he could stay focused on was the word cancer went in school he always hurt a lot of people losing their loved ones to cancer he had a classmate who had lost his mom to cancer the poor kids stop showing up to school the next day couldn't handle it he couldn't imagine ever losing his mom to such a thing but you having it just made him feel powerless and weak.. cancer for how long and when did you even get it he try to think back to all the times that they had spent together not once did he did it shows any signs that you were sick or maybe he just didn't notice he was always busy protecting people and trying to win over Lana's affection has he really been that oblivious to you being sick?
"How long have you known?"
"For a couple of months...doctors say I could have a couple of weeks or maybe days left."
"Why didn't you ever tell me?!" He got up from his chair he was angry he couldn't believe that you'd keep something this important from him something that involved your health.
"I tried... I wanted so badly to tell you but I just didn't have the heart to say anything." You started to cry Clark couldn't do it he just couldn't look at you he ran out your room ignoring his parents and friends telling him to come back he just had to get out of there he can watch to see you like that the only thing he wanted to think of was you smiling and laughing telling him that he was a great amazing friend and anyone would be lucky to have you as a partner talking about your favorite comics, come over to his house everyday to give him the best food that you always make always laughing and joking around his parents staying up late talking about the future but now that will never happen all because you have cancer he ran in the middle of the woods screaming and crying punching whatever that goes next to him until he fell to his knee screaming at the sky in agony.
Later he came back after taking a breather his parents looked at him, his mother who's face was red eyes wet and his father who just looked lost and just as heartbroken as his mother he asked where your aunt and uncle were they had left to go talk to the doctors about your condition Chloe had went to the bathroom to cry after finding out the news Lois went with her to comfort her but also to cry it was like a domino effect you held a special place in everyone's heart knowing that you were going to be gone just didn't feel right he didn't want to believe it no one did but this was reality this was life you were going to be kind in no one knew or when you were going to be gone that it might happen today tomorrow or the next day or day before then he went in the room only to see you asleep he sat next to you grabbing your hand that woke you up Clark smiled giving your hand a kiss
"Clark? I'm so sorry I didn't mean for you to get up."
"No it's my fault you asked me not to get upset and I did I left you when you need me the most Y/n I'm sorry I just...i just can't imagine what you must have been going through keeping this a secret I wish you'd said something...but don't worry cause I'm not going to leave you side
"But Clark what about Lana?"
"I...i don't think I can imagine a life with Lana I love you.. I'm so sorry I never realized how I felt until now I'm so sorry."
"Clark?" He looked at you with tears in his eyes you smiled a hand on his cheek
"Can we kiss now please?" He laughed at your bluntness but could tell it took all your will power to ask him that and he gently leaned down to kiss your lips they were soft and it was your first kiss he wanted to make the best of it.
He didn't want to think about it the cancer wasn't going to stop him from being with you yes he will always care about Lana but you held a special place in his heart and he was going to spend every last moment with you until the very end.....
Ayo i kind of was tearing up while writing this like why did I have to do myself like this😭

Loose the model but win a hero
Here we go part 5!! I’m super excited for this and i’m going to do my best for this chapter because this is where were going back and forth from Metropolis, to Paris to Hawaii and back... So here we go!
Chapter 5: Meeting the Super’s
Previous First
Mari got to know Jon even more then before, he had a sorta group of friends but she couldn’t meet them “They live outside of Metropolis and I need to go see them, I end up living with them every time” he explained making her nod in understanding from what she could understand they all live in the West side of Jump city.
But for her to meet them wouldn’t happen anytime soon...
It sucked and Jon wanted her to meet them all, but things were happening... That being them being with there families at the moment, so for now she would need to wait until school start again for her to meet them “I’m pretty sure my parents uncovered a bunch of stuff about you and are going to ask my friends and I to transfer to your school” he said making her blush at the idea of having a group of people knowing her life in Paris.
But then again... Jon did believe her...
When they got into the fabric shop, Mari went further into what she went through at school, how her teacher and principal don’t call Lila’s mom or asks for a doctor’s paper, how they allow Lila to lie to her classmates, how her classmates demand Mari brings proof and when she does it’s not enough to them, how when Lila accuses Mari of doing something to her she doesn’t need to show proof and her classmates will attack her... Jon felt the urge to break something.
His dad was also feeling the same way, he was listening in on them through his super hearing and heard everything she said... He just wanted to destroy her school and get her principal and teacher arrested, even ruin her class from getting any job they hoped for... While Lila is deported and is never heard of again, but he knew it wouldn’t do go so for now he would need to wait while he watched his son be happy with Marinette... He wondered if they had feelings for each other, kinda like him and Louis now that he thought about it.
“Hey Jon... Can I ask you a question?” Mari asking something like that was a surprise to Jonathan, Mari was always straight to the point and nod... She sounded worried about something “Sure Mari, what’s up?” he asked back and it somehow clamed her down enough that he noticed it from her body language “Do you think... I’m a doormat? You know with how I did everything my classmates wanted me to do?” she asked, it actually surprised Jon because he didn’t know what to think about that... Then again she only told him about what her classmates did to her because of Lila.
“You would need to explain on that part. Why would you think something like that about yourself?” he asked and this caused Mari to go on the defense… it was like what she was about to tell him... It might destroy something inside of him, and it was bad enough that she would be scared of telling him all of a sudden “You... You need to promise that... That this stays between us... No one can know!” she claimed making him nod in understanding... Resulting in her relaxing a but before taking a breath... And telling him everything.
Now he and his dad really wanted to kill that class...
Back in Hawaii...
Kagami had arrived from her competition and Luka was relaxing already, it felt nice to them right now and the fact that Mari wasn’t with them right now... Felt strange to them, of course Pollen, Plagg, Longg and Sass were relaxing together like there holders were doing... But they were watched by Sabrina “Which miraculous you think Mari will give Sabrina?” Adrien asked out of the blue, they all began to think about it... And sadly nothing came to mind, there was a limit of miraculous that had been used and so far none of them would be good to match with Sabrina “It can’t be the fox, turtle, bunny, horse, monkey or mouse... None of them would match her like ours do” Chloe claimed making them nod.
This meant that it must be a miraculous Marinette has yet to bring out...
For now they had to wait until she was with them to talk about that part, so for now they would relax “My queen, I believe that the guardian will give Sabrina a miraculous when she sees the time comes for her” Pollen explained making Adrien look confused about that “What do you mean by that?” he asked making the four kwami’s turn to him “You see kid, now that Marinette is the guardian... She is way more powerful, you see when an akuma will appear she can sense what miraculous is missing to the team to join in battle” Plagg explained to him.
“Which is why Fu turned to her, he knew Marinette would be a better guardian then he was by keeping us hidden” Longg said making them look at one another “Is that why she gave Kagami and I the miraculous back under the condition of a new name and look? Because we were needed?” Chloe asked as Sass sighs “It is more then that, you sssssee Marinette can ssssensssse when someone matches a miraculousssss... Because there ssssoul matches the miraculousssss...” he said as Pollen then spoke “There was another bee holder in Paris, but the guardian chose you, as for Kagami she was the only dragon holder” she explained making them nod.
In a way the two girls felt... Honored about this, the fact that Mari could have gotten the other possible bee holder showed Chloe had worked hard enough to keep it, as for Kagami she knew Mari could have gone to find another dragon holder and have them live in Paris but she didn’t and instead kept Kagami, but now they had a job to do, they still needed to defeat Hawkmoth and Mayura “We need to also stop Lila and her crimes... She’s also part of this as she does work with Hawkmoth of her own will” Luka whispered making them nod, Sabrina had filmed Lila grab an akuma to get herself akumatized making them have proof about her.
“We still need to talk to Mari about our plan on Lila, she’s the one who started this whole thing and she’s the one who makes the plans so we need her to guide us” Adrien said making them nod, Sabrina during this time was looking on social media to see Marinette’s new post “Hey! Mari is hanging out with Clark Kent and Lois Lane’s son Jonathan!” she claimed making them move to her side to see the picture... She was right, right next to Mari was Jon himself, she had tagged him to the post saying how he took her to have the best coffee in Metropolis and how she wished they had this in Paris.
“She is so going to use the horse to get some” Kagami claimed making them smile and laugh at how right she was, Mari was a coffee addict and needed every morning some sort of coffee concoction to wake her up or to stay awake and no matter how hard they try... They can’t keep her away from it, but still it was nice to know that it wasn’t mixed with a bunch of stuff to keep her awake so it was nice to know that “At least she can drink a normal cup in Metropolis without getting weird looks when she tells someone what’s in her coffee” Chloe claimed making them nod to that fact, there had been a number of times she was asked about her coffee and the number of things she has in the cup of hers... Always made people look at her like she was crazy.
But then again... What else was new?
Back in Paris...
Caline Bustier was doing her best to remember the excuses Lila gave her to not give homework or for being absent for some time... Pretty much everything, she needed to do this in order to explain all of this to Lila’s mother, she had the woman’s number and remembered to have called her once but simply hung up before Caline could speak to her, it was strange but she was certain that it was Lila’s doing, now she was working on her list of excuses Lila gave her so when she speaks to Lila’s mother she can tell her everything that the girl has done in reality and figure out if those trips, injuries, connections, gifts and diseases were true.
Once she wrote everything down, she looked everything over three times before making the call, if she was right then the woman would be at work on her break “Embassy, Rossi speaking” the woman’s voice was different from Lila “Hello miss Rossi, i’m Caline Bustier, Lila’s teacher. I’m calling to talk to you about the best way to help your daughter more at school since she has been traveling with you when she first arrived and is still missing many assignments to make her pass the year” she explained, she wasn’t lying even, Lila is missing a bunch of work and has kept on pushing it back for months.
“What? There must be some mistake, we have been in Paris for years! And she told me the school was closed for months because Ladybug and Cat Noir couldn’t take care of the akuma” the woman replied making Caline sigh “I was afraid of this... It would seem your daughter lied to the both of us and the principal” Caline replied and began to read over the lies Lila spoke since she got to there school... And there were many lies so it took her a while to read them all to miss Rossi... But she was certain the mom was getting furious towards her daughter for lying “I’m also afraid that she has caused a number of problems within my class, a girl named Marinette has been claimed a bully by your daughter... I believe Marinette knows Lila is lying and has spun it around to make it look like Lila was the victim from the start” Caline explained with a sigh.
Miss Rossi was silent after that, not a word was spoken from the woman... Caline worried she did something wrong at some point “How bad is it... Her school work” the woman spoke just like that with hidden anger in her voice “If Lila doesn’t turn in any work next year, not only will she be staying at the school to do the years all over again... But she will also be forced to go to summer school” Caline explained after looking at a paper that was written in her handwriting the consequences of Lila’s missing grades, she knew this was going to happen in the end since Lila was always told about it if she didn’t turn anything in and now... This will be what happens if she doesn’t do it still.
Caline Bustier was certain when miss Rossi thanked her and hung up... That she had sent Lila Rossi into the Lion’s den called her mother.
Back in Metropolis...
Lois had at last spoken to every person who’s number Jon got her, with all the info she gained thanks to them... She would be making the publishing news of the century... Ruining a number of lives as she was certain people from around the world will read it and translate it so everyone can understand it, not only that but she was making sure to make it in French too so to send it to Paris on purpose so they too will know the truth about Lila Rossi and what she did to a number of lives... Because that girl had a huge number of skeletons in her closet, and Loui cracked that closet wide open to reveal the truth on the Italian girl.
And she didn’t care how badly she ruins that girls life... She asked for it the moment she met Marinette Dupain-Cheng.

Hiiii could you please do Tim & Bruce with “You left me alone”. I’m missing post-red Robin father son angst. PS so happy you’re open to prompts again!
I did not go back and reread comics to make this canon compliant or fit in or anything so sorry if it doesn’t mesh with canon, I just let the words take over lol.
**********
It’s not until he goes looking that Bruce realises he doesn’t know where to find his son anymore. Tim isn’t in the penthouse, he’s not in the bunker, he’s not in the Manor—nothing is there but dust cloths and ghosts—and Bruce is running out of places to look. He even checks the Drake estate, but it’s as dark and boarded up as it has been for years. When Bruce finally gives in and asks Alfred, he gets pointed toward the old theatre on Crime Alley, but although there are remnants of Tim all over the place, there is no sign that he has actually been there in the last week.
Surprisingly, it is Damian who is able to give him a definitive answer.
“He’s with Superboy,” his youngest says. “They left Gotham five days ago.”
There is something almost smug about the way he says it. Maybe because he knows something that Bruce doesn’t. Maybe because Tim is gone. Bruce frowns.
“I thought Superboy was dead.”
Damian shrugs, disinterested. “It was definitely Kryptonian.”
So Bruce calls Clark; and Clark tells him that Conner is back, yes it is definitely him, “I don’t really understand, Bruce, there was a lot of talk about time travel and cults, but I’m sure, it’s him. He’s alive.”
There seems to be a lot of that going around lately. Time travel included.
The next person Bruce calls is Martha Kent. She is delighted to hear from him—Bruce thinks she might even cry a little, although it’s hard to tell over the phone—and when he says he’s looking for his son, she says, “Oh yes, Tim and Conner are in town running some errands for me. Would you like me to have him call you when they get home?”
She says it so casually: home. And Bruce knows she doesn’t mean anything by it, but it stings, to think that maybe Tim doesn’t feel at home in Gotham anymore.
“No,” he says. “No, it’s okay, I’ll try him again later.”
But he doesn’t call back. And either Martha doesn’t pass along that he called, or Tim isn’t interested in calling him back to find out why, because he doesn’t hear anything from the Kent farm for the rest of the day. It’s better to just give Tim space, he thinks. He was devastated by Conner’s death, he wants to spend time with his friend, he’ll come home when he’s ready.
—//—
Except—Tim doesn’t come home.
A week goes by. Bruce solves two cases, and carves out his patrol routes around the new Batman and Robin, and every night he swings by the theatre on Crime Alley to find it still standing empty. He takes Cass out to dinner, goes with Dick and Damian to an art exhibition, and has a stilted conversation with Jason over late-night milkshakes. He talks with Lucius Fox, hashing out plans for a global crime-fighting network, and when Lucius asks about Tim, he doesn’t know what to say.
The next evening, he finds himself in Smallville, knocking on the door of the Kent farmhouse.
Conner answers. He does a double take when he sees Bruce, then yells back over his shoulder, “Yo, Tim, your dad is here!”
“What are you talking abou—” Tim’s face appears around Conner’s shoulder. “Oh. Bruce, hi.” He doesn’t sound upset to see Bruce, just surprised. That almost hurts more. “What are you doing here? Is everything alright in Gotham?”
“Everything is fine. Your brothers have it under control.”
He almost misses the wince Tim tries to hide by turning his head. “Good. That’s, um, good,” he says, and Bruce gets the feeling he doesn’t mean it.
He moves on quickly. “I was looking for you.”
Tim frowns. “Did you need something? You could have called.”
Did you need something? Like Bruce can’t just be looking for his son because he wants to spend time with him.
Conner is still hovering, watching them, and Bruce glances at him.
“Maybe we can talk somewhere?”
Tim follows him down the front steps, then around the barn to a tree that used to have a bench seat under it. It’s been too long since Bruce has been to the Kent farm because the tree is still there, but the seat is gone. Bruce leans against the fence and looks out at the horses grazing in the paddock instead. Tim leans beside him, arms stuck through the wooden rails.
“Bruce?” he ventures. “Are you sure everything is okay?”
His voice sounds too grown up for how young he actually looks,  playing with the flannel cuffs around his wrists, watching Bruce out of the corner of his eye. Bruce wonders whether he did that, getting lost in time, or if it was already happening and he just missed it.
Now that he’s here, all the things he wants to say have tangled together, and what comes out—what he wasn’t planning to say at all—is: “Alfred said you moved out.”
That was how Alfred phrased it: Master Timothy has moved out. Dick’s wording hadn’t been quite so…. censured.
Tim just shrugs; he’s not looking at Bruce now. “Everyone else moved out first. And the penthouse was a little too crowded for my tastes.”
The penthouse is huge. It should comfortably have fit all four of them—Alfred and Dick and Damian and Tim. With Bruce there now, they hardly run into each other unless they’re all in the bunker or Alfred has orchestrated it. So maybe it took him a day or two longer than it should have to stop Dick by the elevator and ask where is your brother?
He hadn’t liked the answer.
“Dick said you ran away.”
Tim goes stiff. “I was looking for you. I—I found you.”
And Bruce is grateful for that. He is. Grateful for this beautiful kid who he doesn’t deserve, who never gave up hope even when he probably should have. But still.
“You didn’t have to do it alone.”
How many times has he heard Alfred say that boy is too much like you, Master Bruce in the last five years? Bruce is a hypocrite and he knows it.
Tim won’t meet his eyes. He stares out at the horses like it’s a personal mission he’s been given.
“You left us alone, Bruce. Things changed.”
“I didn’t leave you—”
“I know,” Tim cuts in, finally looking at Bruce. His lips twitch up; not quite a smile. “But you kinda did.”
Bruce doesn’t know what to say to that. He’s not sure there is anything to say; nothing good enough, at least. Not even I’m sorry feels right.
“Do you remember when my dad died?” Tim continues after a minute. “I said I needed space and you gave it to me.”
Bruce nods. In hindsight, he regrets that. If he’s being honest, he regretted it at the time. But he wasn’t Tim’s father then, not really, and he hadn’t wanted to crowd in where he wasn’t wanted.
Plus, Tim had lied to him. He couldn’t forget that. Tim had lied about living with an uncle in Bludhaven because he didn’t want Bruce to take him in. Even when Bruce figured it out, that there was no uncle, that Tim was living alone, he hadn’t been sure how to step in. He hadn’t been sure how to parent this kid who he’d really been parenting for three years before the paperwork made it official.
Now, things are different.
Tim looks at him properly, maybe for the first time since Conner opened the front door.
“I need some space, Bruce,” he says.
Funny how he doesn’t look so young anymore.
“How long?” Bruce asks.
Tim shrugs. “I don’t know yet. A few weeks, at least.” He looks back at the farmhouse, where Martha Kent is probably making dinner and Conner Kent is surely eavesdropping on their conversation. “Kon and I were talking about getting the Teen Titans back together, maybe, now that he and Bart are back.”
I’d be leaving Gotham permanently, he doesn’t say. Bruce hears it anyway.
He’s not sure when, but he gets the feeling that he has lost the right to say no. To say Tim is too young or too irresponsible—not that he ever has been—or even just that Bruce would rather have him home.
“Okay,” he says. “Take all the time you need.” He hesitates, then, because he can’t just leave it at that. “But if—when—you’re ready to come home… call me.”
He can’t make himself say please. The smile Tim gives him makes him think he heard it anyway.
“I will,” he promises.
Tim makes the first move, but Bruce hugs back just as tightly. And there, with this kid in his arms, knowing where the rest of them are, knowing that they’re all safe—Bruce finally feels at home. And he realises, maybe he doesn’t need them all to come home as well, maybe he just needs to know that they’re all okay. Maybe it’s not so bad, that things have changed.

The Superfam as Yandere’s Part 2: Jon Kent
Tumblr media
This is a yandere story; it mentions elements of obsession, possessiveness, death, murder, kidnapping, and physical abuse. If any of this is triggering for you, I understand, and you don’t have to read it.
As always feedback is welcomed.
You’d tripped and grabbed on to fourteen-year-old Jon Kent’s upper arm to catch yourself, and when your hand made contact, Jon felt the place you’d touched start to burn. Oh, oh. Oh shit, he thought when he realized exactly what had just happened, how is it he could know you for four years, and yet today was the first time you’d touched him.
After all, you were the daughter of Dick Grayson, younger sister to Mary Grayson. Your father was like another Dad to Damian, so of course, you spent a lot of time with him, and by extension, Jon. Damian was five years older than you, and though his real title was your uncle, he thought of you more as a little sister.
Damian was extremely protective, and Jon knew that even if he couldn’t help it, Damian would never forgive him for being your soulmate. So, he’d kept it quiet, only he didn’t need to, Damian knew and had come to the decision that so long as the Kryptonian didn’t act on the soulmate thing, then everything would be fine. Besides, Damian was busy enough with his own darling, he didn’t have time to worry about something that Jon knew better than to let happen.
To make matters worse, finding out you were his soulmate had brought up memories of Jon’s late mother. When she’d first disappeared, his father had told him that she’d been sick and that his mom was getting help, so if they were lucky, she’d be home with them soon. Jon had believed him, but as it turned out, his father was a liar, his mother wasn’t going to be back with them soon, no, she’d die in some medical mishap.
At least that’s what Clark had told him, it wouldn’t be until much later that Jon found out the truth, but that wasn’t to come not for a few years at least.
Suddenly, Jon had the urge to make you his and keep you that way. Jon hadn’t really had a conversation with his father since his mother died, maybe it was wrong of Jon to blame Clark, but he really didn’t care, his mother was dead, and his father had let it happen.
The possessiveness was because of Kryptonian instinct, at least that’s what the computer in the fortress of solitude had said, Jon would have asked his father, but he found himself avoiding home these days unable to look Clark in the eye without feeling some level of rage.
Jon fought his instincts for as long as he could, but when you were fourteen, and he was sixteen, suddenly he couldn’t anymore. According to his research into mate bonds, this was normal for someone in his situation, he was nearing the age of maturity, and it would start to affect his behavior with his mate. There was no fighting his instincts entirely, so he gave into them in small ways like lending you his jacket when a sudden cold breeze blew by, it helped him control the worst parts of him, the ones that really wanted to keep you by his side forever no matter the cost.
Jon loved the way you looked in his jacket it was like you were basically drowning in the fabric, but more importantly, he loved that it told the world you were his, but then he’d have to remind himself that you weren’t, that you couldn’t be, and that he couldn’t have you because that would be betraying his best friend.
It hadn’t taken Jon long to figure out you liked the slight accent growing up in rural Kansas had gifted him. He found himself playing it up slightly when you were around, he really couldn’t help it, the Kryptonian part of him knew you found it attractive, and it wasn’t going to let a chance to win you over pass him by.
It happened with other things too, like how Jon kept waring that blue flannel you said brought out his eyes, whenever he knew you were going to be around, and how he kept his hair in the cut and style he knew you liked. Sometimes Jon felt like a damn animal nearly shouting, hay look at me I’m healthy and attractive, want to spend the rest of your life with me.
If Damian noticed his friend preening like a peacock for you, he didn’t say anything, then again Damian had been busy with his wife, so he could be forgiven for it, and besides, with Damian busy you’d been spending more one on one time with Jon, and he was living for it.
So much so that Jon kept having to remind himself to slow down, he may have been sixteen, and more than ready to start dating, but you were only fourteen, and Kryptonian instincts be damned he wasn’t going to hurt you by going too fast.
Jon had sworn a vow to himself to keep you safe, no matter the cost, if it meant your safety then Jon would gladly die himself, heck he’d kill the whole planet if it really came down to it. You were everything to him, and in a way, how much his world revolved around you scared him a little. It would be easy to lose himself down that rabbit hole.
When Jon was eighteen he tried to quit you like a drug, avoiding you at all costs, by the end of the week he felt like he was dying, by the end of the month, Jon felt worse than any form of Kryptonite had ever made him. Even the thought of moving hurt, Jon couldn’t see straight if he wanted to, and if he was a guessing person, Jon would say he was running a fever too, judging by the fact that he couldn’t get warm.
Of course, Clark knew what was going on, so long as you were alive, Jon wouldn’t be able to stay away from you, or his body would start fighting him, and if you passed before the two of you had children, Jon would surely wither and die himself. The only reason Clark had survived the death of his wife was because a piece of her still lived on in Jon.
So, wanting to keep that piece of his wife alive Clark did the one thing he knew would save his son, he made up an excuse to leave the planet and called Dick, Clark had told your father about you and Jon as soon as he figured it out himself. Of course, Dick hadn’t been happy about a Kryptonian loving his daughter because the only soulmate bond they had record of was Clarks, and that hadn’t ended well. Though in the end, Dick had decided that he wasn’t going to stand in the way.
Sure, that might have been because while Dick had Mary wrapped around his finger, he didn’t have you because you’d seen with your own eyes how your father treated your mother behind closed doors. Dick wanted you out of the way because you knew far too much, so he didn’t even question when Clark asked you to go to the Kent farm. If you never came back, it would just mean Dick didn’t have to worry about what you knew, or how you could take his wife away from him.
You’d been concerned when Clark called and asked you to look after Jon while he was off-world. Kryptonians were supposed to be immune to earth illnesses, but when you looked at Jon, you started to question that belief.
You pressed your hand to Jon’s forehead to confirm what you already suspected; he was burning up. According to Clark, he’d already tried all of the human fever reducers he could find, and none of them seemed to work. So you’d had to settle for the old school method of bringing down a fever, a cold washcloth on the forehead. After you’d placed it on Jon’s head, he grabbed your hand, pulled it to his cheek and nuzzled into it, you could have sworn you heard him slur the word mine as he did so.
Jon said a lot of things like that for the first couple of days, and you weren’t sure if he meant them or if he was delirious from his fever, but you kind of hoped for the former because over the years you’d fallen in love with him.
Loving Jon made you feel like you were living in some teen soap opera, Damian used to be like a brother to you until you found out that he knew what Dick was doing to your mom, but he did nothing to stop it, and Jon was Damian’s best friend, that was prime drama material. Still, you’d decided that if Jon ever gave you a clear indication that he returned your affections, you’d take him up on it.
Only you couldn’t tell if feverish ramblings counted as a clear sign, on the one hand, he’d rambled for twenty minutes about how pretty your eyes were at one point, but on the other hand that had been when he still had a fever and kept calling water earth juice. So you should probably have discarded anything he said during his entire illness, but you couldn’t bring yourself to.
Jon had been better for a few days now, and you really should have gone home, but this was a nice break from your life in Gotham. Honestly, if it wasn’t for the fact that you were only sixteen, you might have never gone home.  As it stood, you were still under eighteen, and eventually, you’d have to go home, but today was not that day. Until Clark came back, you were going to enjoy your little domestic heaven with Jon.
“Breakfast smells good,” Jon mumbled as he stumbled down the stairs, obviously still half asleep. You hadn’t expected Jon to come up behind you and wrap his arms around your waist as you cooked, but he did. It was at that moment that you decided to throw caution to the wind because you just didn’t hold someone like he was holding you if you didn’t have feelings for them.
You turned around in Jon’s arms and wrapped your arms around his neck to bring his lips to yours, the kiss was perfect just like everything else about the person in front of you. Jon would have been content to stay like that forever, but unlike him, you needed to breathe, so he didn’t fight you when you pulled away from the kiss.
Jon wasn’t sure what had come over him as you pulled away, but all he could think was mine, mine, mine, mine, to the point he found himself growling, “You’re mine.” As he pulled you right up against him.
“I’m yours,” You confirmed, as you pulled him in for another kiss, If you’d grown up in a healthy family the blatant show of possessiveness might have freaked you out, but you hadn’t, so honestly you found it romantic. Red flags might as well have been green lights to you, and in a way, you were lucky you’d fallen in love with Jon at least he wasn’t like Dick. Jon would never hit you like Dick did your mother.
It was later that night that Jon explained the whole soulmate thing, and for the first time in his life, he felt truly content as he slept because he had you in his arms.
It was a week later when Damian showed up, he’d been worried about both you and Jon, he was concerned about Jon because if you weren’t back, that meant there was a possibility Jon wasn’t improving. Still, Damian was also worried about you because what if Jon had gotten better and wasn’t letting you leave. Damian had seen how well those supposed soulmate bonds, worked out in the end.
Out of all the scenarios Damian expected to find, one of them hadn’t been you, and Jon snuggled up on the couch watching a movie. Damian had never felt so betrayed, his best friend and his niece together, he wanted to puke.
You smiled as you curled up into Jon’s side; part of you hoped that Clark would never come back because you’d been happier than you had been in years. That is until Damian kicked the door in and charged Jon with a sword and a shard of Kryptonite. Without thinking, you threw yourself in front of Jon, and in turn, Jon threw himself over you, shielding you from shielding him.
Damian found Jon’s willingness to die for you admirable; it still wouldn’t be enough to win him over, no it’d take a lot more than that, but maybe he was worth a chance. Damian put the Kryptonite away into a special lead-lined pouch on his utility belt after he’d done that Jon felt his strength return.
Jon shoved you behind him and glared at Damian. “If you ever hurt her, I can and will end you, do you understand me Kryptonian,” Damian said as he placed the tip of his sword to Jon’s throat.
“Yeah I do, and I would never hurt her, I love her.”
“Your father said the same thing about his wife, and yet he drove her to suicide.” Damian proclaimed venom dripping from his words.
After learning the truth about his mother's death, Jon sent you off with Damian, he called you every day only to ask you to return a week later, as soon as you set foot on the Kent farm Jon dropped down on one knee and proposed. You gladly said yes, and with your parent's permission, got married.
You never questioned why Clark hadn’t returned from space, and it was a good thing you hadn’t because Jon didn’t feel like explaining that his father had returned, but he’d died not long after.
Had Jon killed him? It was possible because, after all, it would have avenged his mother and secured a beautiful, peaceful life for the two of you. All you knew is that after you were married, Jon mostly retired from superheroing. Only going out when absolutely necessary, because he was content to be a farmer for the rest of his life, so long as you were by his side.
A/N I’m not even sure if Jon came off as Yandere in this tbh, Jon in my head is a much softer Yan then the rest, so overall, my usual amount of skin-crawling creep factor isn’t here, but shrug emoji. Also, Yes, Conner was supposed to be next, but that didn’t end up happening.
