Student Experiments Soar!

Have you ever wondered what it takes to get a technology ready for space? The NASA TechRise Student Challenge gives middle and high school students a chance to do just that – team up with their classmates to design an original science or technology project and bring that idea to life as a payload on a suborbital vehicle.

Since March 2021, with the help of teachers and technical advisors, students across the country have dreamed up experiments with the potential to impact space exploration and collect data about our planet.

So far, more than 180 TechRise experiments have flown on suborbital vehicles that expose them to the conditions of space. Flight testing is a big step along the path of space technology development and scientific discovery.

The 2023-2024 TechRise Challenge flight tests took place this summer, with 60 student teams selected to fly their experiments on one of two commercial suborbital flight platforms: a high-altitude balloon operated by World View, or the Xodiac rocket-powered lander operated by Astrobotic. Xodiac flew over the company’s Lunar Surface Proving Ground — a test field designed to simulate the Moon’s surface — in Mojave, California, while World View’s high-altitude balloon launched out of Page, Arizona.

Here are four innovative TechRise experiments built by students and tested aboard NASA-supported flights this summer:

1. Oobleck Reaches the Skies

Oobleck, which gets its name from Dr. Seuss, is a mixture of cornstarch and water that behaves as both a liquid and a solid. Inspired by in-class science experiments, high school students at Colegio Otoqui in Bayomón, Puerto Rico, tested how Oobleck’s properties at 80,000 feet aboard a high-altitude balloon are different from those on Earth’s surface. Using sensors and the organic elements to create Oobleck, students aimed to collect data on the fluid under different conditions to determine if it could be used as a system for impact absorption.

2. Terrestrial Magnetic Field

Middle school students at Phillips Academy International Baccalaureate School in Birmingham, Alabama, tested the Earth’s magnetic field strength during the ascent, float, and descent of the high-altitude balloon. The team hypothesized the magnetic field strength decreases as the distance from Earth’s surface increases.

3. Rocket Lander Flame Experiment

To understand the impact of dust, rocks, and other materials kicked up by a rocket plume when landing on the Moon, middle school students at Cliff Valley School in Atlanta, Georgia, tested the vibrations of the Xodiac rocket-powered lander using CO2 and vibration sensors. The team also used infrared (thermal) and visual light cameras to attempt to detect the hazards produced by the rocket plume on the simulated lunar surface, which is important to ensure a safe landing.

4. Rocket Navigation

Middle and high school students at Tiospaye Topa School in LaPlant, South Dakota, developed an experiment to track motion data with the help of a GPS tracker and magnetic radar. Using data from the rocket-powered lander flight, the team will create a map of the flight path as well as the magnetic field of the terrain. The students plan to use their map to explore developing their own rocket navigation system.

The 2024-2025 TechRise Challenge is now accepting proposals for technology and science to be tested on a high-altitude balloon! Not only does TechRise offer hands-on experience in a live testing scenario, but it also provides an opportunity to learn about teamwork, project management, and other real-world skills.

“The TechRise Challenge was a truly remarkable journey for our team,” said Roshni Ismail, the team lead and educator at Cliff Valley School. “Watching them transform through the discovery of new skills, problem-solving together while being driven by the chance of flying their creation on a [rocket-powered lander] with NASA has been exhilarating. They challenged themselves to learn through trial and error and worked long hours to overcome every obstacle. We are very grateful for this opportunity.”

As the final month of the year rolls in, it’s the perfect time to reflect, reset, and make the most out of these last few weeks. Here's your ultimate December Lock-In To-Do List to end the year on a fresh note and prepare for the year ahead!

1. Reflect & Recharge:

Take time to reflect on your year so far—celebrate your wins and learn from the challenges.

Allow yourself to rest and recharge before diving into the new year.

Journal about your experiences and things you’ve learned.

2. Set Intentions for the New Year:

Get clear on what you want to accomplish in 2025—write down your goals and dreams.

Create a vision board or a digital mood board for inspiration.

Set small, achievable steps towards these big goals.

3. Organize & Declutter:

Tidy up your space—whether it’s your room, your study area, or your digital life.

Declutter your belongings, get rid of anything that no longer serves you.

Organize your files, notebooks, and study materials for the new year.

4. Master Time Management:

Set up a daily or weekly planner to help stay on track with your study and personal goals.

Break your tasks into smaller, manageable chunks, and stay consistent.

Use the Pomodoro technique for focus (it's my fav technique ): 25 minutes of studying, followed by a 5-minute break.

5. Focus on Self-Care:

Stick to a skincare routine to keep your skin fresh and healthy.

Get at least 6 to 7 or 8 hours of sleep each night and practice relaxation techniques like meditation . (My timetable don't allow me to sleep 8h 🥹 )

Nourish your body with balanced meals, hydration, and gentle exercise.

6. Prepare for Finals & Tests:

Review your notes and start preparing early for any upcoming exams or projects.

Set study goals each day—focus on one subject at a time to avoid burnout.

Use active learning methods: rewrite notes ,practice with mock tests, flashcards, and past papers.

7. Learn Something New (Mandarin):

Make a goal to learn something new this month—(for me it's Mandarin) for example new language or sports.. skill you’ve been curious about.

Dedicate 15-30 minutes a day to practice through apps or free website classes .

Keep your learning fun and engaging by practicing speaking, listening, and writing.

8. Boost Focus & Motivation:

Visualize your success and stay motivated throughout December by setting daily goals.

Reward yourself after completing tasks—small celebrations can keep you motivated.

Create a playlist that energizes you while studying or working. (Click to listen to my Spotify playlists !)

9. Stay Positive & Stay Grateful:

Make gratitude a habit by writing down 3 things you’re grateful for every day.

Reflect on the positive things in your life and keep a positive mindset, especially when things get tough.

The Annecy festival is next week, so we might get some trailers and potentially dates for some of these projects! For Waven though, it won't be coming until after season 5 has released.

A Mr. Lancer ficlet for the Danny Phantom Phic Phight 2025

After Mr. Lancer’s stroke, the substitute had the class create a get-well card as a group project.

Danny had signed his name, and drew a smiley face beside it. It wasn’t as nice as Sam’s vining purple flowers along the border of the poster-sized card, or Paulina’s Sayonara Pussycat stickers, but it was all Danny could think to contribute.

When Mr. Lancer returned one morning with his usual optimistic smile, the class cheered. Like during a football game. Though Danny was pretty sure Dash and the other jocks just wanted to make as much noise as possible for the fun of it when they started letting out ear-piercing whistles and stomping their feet.

Lancer actually sniffed and used a finger to wipe away a tear, before asking the class to quiet down.

He thanked everyone for the card and well-wishes, and said he was feeling much better and was eager to get back to teaching them all.

Then he turned to write on the chalkboard.

As he filled the board with writing, the class started whispering. And once he was done, and turned around to tell the class that the page numbers and questions to answer were on the board; Star had hesitantly raised her hand and delicately told him that none of the class could read it.

It took a few minutes for Lancer to be convinced that the class truly couldn’t make out his writing. Then he paled. And went back to the hospital.

He didn't come to school the next day, but did return the day after.

Each time he picked up the chalk to write something on the board, he paused, and then put the chalk back down.

Even Lancer’s notes on their returned assignments were unreadable to the class. But, as the weeks passed, people stopped mentioning it.

The thing was... Danny could read it.

For the rest of the class, Lancer’s writing was nothing but odd squiggles—a lingering side-effect of his stroke; maybe brain damage to the language part of his brain, or nerve damage in his hand messing up his fine motor skills. But to Danny, Lancer’s writing was as clear as day.

Lancer was writing in Ghost Script.

He, Mr. Lancer, glanced around, pulling the collar of his coat a bit higher around his face, before entering the door to the old warehouse.

He couldn’t let anyone from Casper High know about his extracurricular activities. About his secret double life after dark.

When Danny got an invite from the Ghost Writer to join a book club, his first impulse was to shred the invitation.

But he managed to keep from destroying it—barely.

The last time he’d destroyed something of the Ghost Writer’s and mocked the guy, he’d stuck him inside a story. Danny thought he’d never get out of those rhymes!

So, Danny, with gritted teeth, took the invitation politely, and thanked him for the invite.

If the Ghost Writer saw Danny’s eye twitching, he said nothing.

After a week of his eyes randomly landing on the invitation sitting on his dresser, Danny decided to go and see what that book club was like.

Even if he didn’t particularly like reading.

When Danny got to the rusted door, he double-checked the address.

Was that a 6, or a 9 that got loose and flipped upside down?

No, it really was a 6.

Danny tried the doorknob, but, though it turned, the door wouldn’t budge. When he shoved his shoulder against it, he heard a little rust falling, but that was all that happened.

Eventually, he sighed and went intangible through the door.

He’d gone to the address as Fenton, not wanting to draw attention by going as Danny Phantom, so he’d of preferred not to need ghost powers. But it did look like an abandoned part of town, so it probably didn’t matter.

Entering the warehouse, and letting his eyes adjust for a moment, he looked around and saw the Ghost Writer and several other ghosts sitting in midair in a circle, glowing books in their hands.

Then Danny squinted at a ghost he didn’t instantly remember. His back was to Danny, and Danny traced his eyes across the ghost’s pointed ears and bald head, and his maroon shirt.

Johnny called out to Danny, grabbing his attention for a moment, and all the other ghosts turned their heads to see Danny as well, waving or welcoming him to the club.

The mystery ghost looked over his shoulder, and Danny’s eyes widened. “Mr. Lancer?”

Lancer’s mouth dropped open.

Then the Box Ghost asked, “The teacher often found at your school?”

The Lunch Lady said, sweetly, “The one who took all the meat from the poor students?”

“The one who keeps hiding the boxes?” The Box Ghost added.

“The one who tried to give me detention for riding my motorcycle in the halls?” Johnny asked boredly.

Lancer glanced around, wide-eyed, at the ghosts in front of him, and at Danny Fenton.

“Fuck!”

A major US government website supporting public education on climate science looks likely to be shuttered after almost all of its staff were fired, the Guardian has learned. Climate.gov, the gateway website for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (Noaa)’s Climate Program Office, will imminently no longer publish new content, according to multiple former staff responsible for the site’s content whose contracts were recently terminated. “The entire content production staff at climate.gov (including me) were let go from our government contract on 31 May,” said a former government contractor who wished to remain anonymous for fear of retaliation. “We were told that our positions within the contract were being eliminated.” Rebecca Lindsey, the website’s former program manager, who was fired in February as part of the government’s purge of probationary employees, described a months-long situation within Noaa where political appointees and career staff argued over the fate of the website.

“I had gotten a stellar performance review, gotten a bonus, gotten a raise. I was performing very well. And then I was part of that group who got the form letter saying, ‘Your knowledge, skills, and abilities are no longer of use to Noaa’ – or something to that effect.” Lindsey said she had been worried that climate.gov might be a target of the new administration soon after the election, but when a large Noaa contract was up for renewal at the end of May, her former boss told her that a demand came “from above” to rewrite parts of the contract to remove the team’s funding. “It was a very deliberate, targeted attack,” said Lindsey. Lindsey said the content for climate.gov was created and maintained by a contracted staff of about 10, with additional contributions from Noaa scientists, and its editorial content was specifically designed to be politically neutral, and faithful to the current state of the sciences. All of those staff have now been dismissed, she said.

The website receives hundreds of thousands of visits per month and is one of the most popular sources of information about climate science on the internet. The fired staff believe the changes to climate.gov were targeted by political appointees within the Trump administration and specifically aimed at restricting public-facing climate information.

Climate.gov is set to be shut down due to the Project 2025-inspired cuts to the NOAA’s climate science endeavors.

INTEREST CHECK: Atlantis: The Lost Empire 25th Anniversary Fan Zine

Hello! My name is Bree and I’m an artist living in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Atlantis: The Lost Empire was a huge inspiration growing up and I was looking to see if others wanted to collaborate to put together a fan zine to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the film’s theatrical release in June 2026! This would be something to showcase fan art and writings about the characters, story, and shorter fanfics of headcanons/backstories/lore/etc.

This isn’t something set in stone and I’m currently gauging interest for participation/help to head the project.

Due to political instability and tariffs for the United States, I’m unsure if larger merch beyond domestic stickers or prints (such as pins or acrylic keychains) would be able to be included as merch tiers, but if this is a project that would be done at a larger scale with print production being outsourced/not done locally by myself, I image any profits left after printing and productions/distribution could be donated to the participating artists to support cost of living as well as an ocean conservation or scientific studies non profit.

If you are interested in this project, please fill out the table form below! I am really looking to work alongside some others who may have more experience in tackling larger projects on a timeline who are familiar with production, editing, project management, distribution, or fundraising campaigns, as I am not experienced in all of this pipeline or the finances of crowdfunding at scale (and how to avoid the ire of one MichaelMouse). How did Juno and Tech meet?

Due to the semi-spoilery nature of this part of their shared story, and with our primary project regarding these two meeting still being in the works, I'll try to keep this vague while still being interesting! ~

Unfortuate circumstances had Tech completely separated from his brothers, trapped as a hostage in an underground testing facility designed by Separatists. They subjected him to various different types of grueling tests and torture - one of them being combat endurance training.

These sorts of tests were meant to examine a clone troopers endurance under extreme pressure when faced with an enemy (or many). Tech was a particularly fascinating subject to watch, especially due to his enhancements often creating a defecit in his combat skills. Who wouldn't want to spectate a mutated clone troopr fight endless waves of droids and sentients alike? Especially one with such a focus on brains, rather than brawn?

It didn't take Tech very long until they got bored of watching him mow down wave after wave of droids. Thus, they finally threw in a human variable... and little did Tech know, that this human variable was none other than Juno - a fellow prisoner in the same facility.

Of course, they're covered head-to-toe in specialized combat gear that completely covers the face. They have no idea who the enemy is - just that they need to shoot.

Development Update - December 2024

Happy New Year, everyone! We're so excited to be able to start off 2025 with our biggest news yet: we have a planned closed beta launch window of Q1 2026 for Mythaura!

2024 Year in Review

Creative

This year, the creative team worked on adding new features, introducing imaginative designs, and refining lore/worldbuilding to enrich the overall experience.

New Beasts and Expressions: All 9 beast expression bases completed for both young and adult with finalized specials for Dragons, Unicorns, Griffins, Hippogriffs, and Ryu.

Mutations, Supers and Specials: Introduced the Celestial mutation as well as new Specials Banding & Merle, and the Super Prismatic.

New Artist: Welcomed Sourdeer to the creative team.

Collaboration and Sponsorship: Sponsored several new companions from our Ko-Fi sponsors—Amaru, Inkminks, Somnowl, Torchlight Python, Belligerent Capygora, and the Fruit-Footeded Gecko.

New Colors: Revealed two eye-catching colors, Canyon (a contest winner) and Porphyry (a surprise bonus), giving players even more variety for their Beasts.

Classes and Gear: Unveiled distinct classes, each with its own themed equipment and companions, to provide deeper roleplay and strategic depth.

Items and Worldbuilding: Created a range of new items—from soulshift coins to potions, rations, and over a dozen fishable species—enriching Mythaura’s economy and interactions.

Star Signs & Astrology: Continued to elaborate on the zodiac-like system, connecting each Beast’s fate to celestial alignments.

Questing & Story Outline: Laid the groundwork for the intro quest pipeline and overarching narrative, ensuring that players’ journey unfolds with purposeful progression.

Code

This year, the development team worked diligently on refining and expanding the codebase to support new features, enhance performance, and improve gameplay experiences. A total 429,000 lines of code changed across both the backend and frontend, reflecting:

New Features: Implementation of systems like skill trees, inventory management, community forums, elite enemies, npc & quest systems, and advanced customization options for Beasts.

Optimizations and Refactoring: Significant cleanup and streamlining of backend systems, such as game state management, passive effects, damage algorithms, and map data structures, ensuring better performance and maintainability.

Map Builder: a tool that allows us to build bespoke maps

Regular updates to ensure compatibility with modern tools and frameworks.

It’s worth noting that line changes alone don’t capture the complexity of programming work. For example:

A single line of efficient code can replace multiple lines of legacy logic.

Optimizing backend systems often involves removing redundant or outdated code without adding new functionality.

Things like added dependencies can add many lines of code without adding much bespoke functionality.

We are so beyond excited to share this information with you here first: Mythaura closed beta is targeted for Q1 2026!

Whether you’ve been around since the Patreon days or joined us after Koa and Sark took over…it’s your support that has gotten this project to where it is. Miyazaki Full-Time

Hey everyone, Koa here!

We’re thrilled to share some news about Mythaura’s development! Starting in 2025, Miya will be officially dedicating herself full-time to Mythaura. Her focus will be on bringing even more depth and wonder to the world of Mythaura through content creation, worldbuilding, and building up the brand. It’s a huge step forward, and we’re so excited for the impact her passion and creativity will have on the project!

In addition, I’ve secured 4-day weeks and will be working full-time each Friday to dive deeper into development. This extra push is going to allow us to keep moving steadily forward on both the art and code fronts, and with Miya’s expanded role, the next year of development is looking really promising.

New Super: Zebra

We've added our first new Super to the site since last year's Prismatic: Zebra, which has a chance to occur when parents have the Wildebeest and Banding Specials!

New Expressions: Ryu

The Water-element Ryu has had expressions completed for both the adult and young models. Expressions have been a huge, time-intensive project for the art team to undertake, but the result is always worth it!

Mythauran Astrology: January

The month of January is referred to as Hearth's Embrace, representing the fireplaces kept lit for the entirety of the coldest month of the year. This month is also associated with the constellation of the Glassblower and the carnelian stone.

Mythaura v0.35

Refactored "Beast Parties" into "User Parties," allowing non-beast entities like NPCs to be added to your party. NPCs added to your party will follow you in the overworld, cannot be made your leader, and will make their own decisions in combat.

Checkpoint floor functionality ironed out, allowing pre-built maps to appear at specific floor intervals.

The ability to set spawn and end coordinates in the map builder was added to allow staff to build checkpoint floors.

Various cleanups and refactors to improve performance and reduce the number of queries needed to run certain operations.

Added location events, which power interactable objects in the overworld, such as a lootable chest or a pickable bush.

It's probably not midnight yet for a lot of you folks, but it is January 1st for me in my timezone!

Thank you for all your support throughout 2024. I know I haven't been as active as before, but I appreciate those of you have stuck around regardless! I wish you all a wonderful new year, and let's continue enjoying the moment together!

Overall, I'm quite satisfied for this year's art! With the experience I got from 2023, I could finally match my skill level with the ideas I came up with and push my limits.

Now that I've kinda gotten the basics down, in 2025 I want to start making a presence for myself! What does that mean? Well, I'd like to:

1. Post more variety (Sketches, snippets of writing)

2. Improve more (Use references, do stuff :P)

3. Have fun!!! (Do whatever I like :D)

Extra (I just want to shout out my favourite projects from this year!)

"Wonderland in the sky" (January for the art summary) is currently sitting at a whopping 700-or-so notes! I was really proud of it since it's my first animated art. Thank you for the love!

Also, I loved participating in Marxolor Week 2024! I never thought that a ship week for my favourite characters could actually come into fruition, but I'm so glad it did! Co-managing it was a blast, and I loved seeing everyone's beautiful art. Special thanks to Dess for organising the whole thing and making "Marxolor Day" real!

(Though, I did push myself a little too hard to finish the art... avoiding that next time ^^')

Last but certainly not least, a very, very special thank you to everyone who supported Darling Dance! It was a very tough and time-consuming project, but I'm so happy with the final result (^^)

My personal goal for it was 1000 views, and it's currently sitting at 1272! If there's one thing I really hope I can do in 2025, it's making another MV.

The clue isn’t necessarily about the month you picked.

January:

The Lovers, The Emperor, Nine of Pentacles You are in for a very balanced year. You will grow into your potential and your inner authority, while nurturing your opportunities and what you already started growing in 2024 and 2023. Expect being in a place of authority, of power, where people look up to you.

February:

Five of Pentacles, Five of Wands, Eight of Wands Expect trouble this year, you may get into financial or interpersonal issues and disagreements. Do not fear, because it will all be opportunities for you to blast through obstacles and grow exponentially. Hm, it may be a year where you are forced to stand still for a while. Maybe you asked about a specific project or aspect of your life where you really really really wanted to see growth, fast. Well it will happen, but only when you will get the intuitive hint to do so. It’s this kind of thing that the universe really really wants to happen in a certain way and they don't let you or anyone else mess it or its timeline up, so they will block it until everyone/everything is ready for you to take this action. This will unlock everything and allow you to grow your idea just as you planned it, while it going much further than you thought it would. Let’s say for example that you have a business that you planned X number of sales in a month, and 10X in a year.  You will get the exact rhythm you expected in a month, however your social media will reach much higher height than you expected, so you’ll get 12X orders in a year with twice the numbers of followers/subscribers you expected that allow you to get ahead on your 2026 sales objectives. Kind of a long example, but I hope you get it.

August:

Nine of Pentacles, Four of Wands, The Hierophant Not gonna lie, this is giving big wedding energy haha. If you are already engaged or planning on it soon this is definitely your pile haha. Not only wedding, but also career growth. This doesn’t exactly feel like a promotion, maybe a good augmentation, or someone in freelance having a really really good year with a growing number of loyal clients. There is also this feeling of tradition, respect, honor. It feels like a love-oriented year is in store for you, October pile ! It does seem to be with someone you already know, someone who is already on your mind, where you get a spark to light. It could be a long-distance relationship, someone you are friends with, but not like a situationship or something you are unsure of. The two of you are already aware of your bond, there just seems to be a bit of a distance here, emotional or physical. An opportunity will come to light up a spark and for the two of you to come closer and start something, build something really beautiful together.

HOT DAMN PILE. This will be a very, very powerful year for you. You will learn and apply your knowledge, have all your skills at your disposal to make moves forward in a very balanced, very healthy way. I don’t even know what to say haha, it’s like you already know you’re awesome and how awesome you’ll be in 2025. Congratulations and great work.

Top Form goes TOO Meta Part 1: Grand Ivory Records recently ended their partnership with Headliner TH, and took sole management responsibilities for their artist Smart Chisanupong:

Which of course sent the fandom on X/Twitter into a full meltdown 😅

I'm not too worried though. Basically this just means that Smart would be managed by a different company (Grand Ivory Records) separate from his official BL partner Boom (Headliner TH), which I think was the plan from the beginning. When Headliner TH launched their artists' profiles this January, it's quite noticeable that Smart wasn't listed on there, even though Top Form was presumably at its post-production stages at the beginning of the year. Here's Headliner's first Artist Lineup 11 months ago:

Then they did these Getting To Know videos for their artists 4 months ago, and Boom had one but Smart did not:

They did launch a few joint vlogs for Smart and Boom on Headliner TH's YT channel in support of Top Form, but these are few and far in between. The Top Form cast also did very few guest appearances for other Thai channels and shows to promote their series, which we now know is the result of them having different managements.

Plus both Grand Ivory Records and Smart confirmed that he's about to launch an album next month after Top Form finishes airing, signaling his pivot to music (which I think is a management mistake tbh, I'll get to that in a second).

This means that Grand Ivory Records initially loaned their artist Smart to Headliner TH for his acting activities (GIR is a record company after all, not an acting agency). But now that Smart proved to be a bankable actor, they decided they had enough of paying royalties to Headliner and would manage Smart's acting activities themselves (which shows how little GIR trusted Smart's acting skills in the beginning. Loaning your artist means that you're letting another company take the financial and promotional fall if a project doesn't do well).

What does this mean for SmartBoom as an official ship?

If this was 2019, I'd be worried about their ship's longevity. But in 2025, other BL couples have already proven that it's possible to maintain a ship while working for different companies, albeit it'll be harder to retain a fanbase because there are less couple activities. This is actually a gift for their individual careers, as the couple isn't boxed into a specific type of project/promotion and are able to choose any venture, while still retaining the perks of having a core ship.

Billkin and PP Krit are the most successful proof of concept for this, because after the dissolution of Nadao Bangkok, they never did work for the same company. They however, maintained their ship while still pursuing other projects (movies for Billkin, music for PP Krit). They returned as a branded pair in the bromance film the Red Envelope just this year.

Another (tentative) proof of concept is Up and Poom. Poom was actually loaned by Channel 8 to YYDS Entertainment so he can star in My Stand-In (he was in acting limbo at this point). After he left Channel 8 last year, fans speculated that he would join Up's JustUp acting agency, but he never did, nor express any desire to do so. Poom does his own projects and promotions while doing semi-regular couple activities with Up even though they're not under the same management, and Up is doing his own movies and series in the interim. If YYDS airs Love of Silom next year as planned, then they too are proof that BL pairs don't need to be under the same management to survive.

I actually see this as a great move for both of these actors, but the pivot to music is a loss for Smart

Because they are not under the same management, Smart and Boom won't be forced to do fanservice activities as much as their other BL contemporaries. This means they have access to more projects and shows that could boost their own popularity, while still taking advantage of Top Form's fanbase. Boom can star in as many lakorns as he wants while still doing the occasional project with Smart, and Smart can go on concert tours full-time while maintaining a steady presence on TV with Boom. This is not the case for branded pairs under the same management, which are forced to WAIT for couple projects in order to get any audience presence, and are typecasted into the same roles (like MeMindY or Mandee's artists).

Lastly, Smart and Boom wouldn't be required to compete with each other if they're not under the same management. This is a problem for GMMTV's actors, who not only have to compete with other ships to get any brand deals, but with their actual acting partners as well (some brands can only afford one from the pair). Having different managements means that Smart and Boom can build their public image however they like, and court promos and ads that suit their preferences.

However, I know Smart won't see this, but Thailand's Music industry is such a cluttered space. Both Laz1 and LYKN had to debut in BLs just to get any traction. Jeff Satur, too (which I'm assuming is the reason why GIR loaned Smart to Headliner in the first place). But their artists' longevity is basically nonexistent since they're competing with Thai's affinity for international artists. I'm not saying Smart isn't a talented singer/dancer, I'm just saying his career would thrive more in a platform he's already proven amazing at: acting. Switch to lakorn acting like Gulf, and he and Boom can actually garner awards in this space.

Anyway, that's my two cents to this whole matter. I don't think they're backtraking on launching SmartBoom as an official ship, it's just going in more unconventional directions.

ANNOUNCEMENT !

Hi everyone, I have something really personal and important to share. Please take a moment to read all the way.

I'll be answering asks regarding this for the next 6 hours. No, I won’t be bribed. Yes, I know my inbox is about to explode. I accept my fate.

After much careful consideration and in light of recent developments, I’ve made a big decision regarding this blog @mylovesstuffs and my writing. This space has meant the world to me: it has been my creative outlet, my safe haven, and most importantly, a way for me to connect with some of the most supportive and kind-hearted people out there (yes, that’s you).

That being said,, I've decided to focus on other creative projects that require more of my attention.. A while ago, PLEDIS Entertainment reached out to me regarding some of my writing, and after multiple rounds of interviews and discussions, they’ve offered me a freelance opportunity to be part of their internal creative team. Yes, the same PLEDIS that manages SEVENTEEN.

I’ll be joining their behind-the-scenes content team, helping with narrative building, concepts, and other confidential projects related to SEVENTEEN and their future releases. It’s honestly a dream come true, something I never thought would happen when I first started writing here. But it also comes with its own challenges. Unfortunately, due to legal contracts [NDA, etc.] and company policies, I won’t be able to continue running this blog as a fanfic and reaction writer. I’ve been advised to step back from writing unofficial content about SEVENTEEN while working with the company.

I’ll be logging out from the blog to dedicate my energy to new projects that require my full attention. It’s a strange feeling, but I’m confident this is the right move for both my growth, my mental health and career. This isn’t a goodbye forever, but it does mean this blog will be on indefinite hiatus.

I am deeply grateful to every single person who read my works, shared kind words, and stuck with me through my ups and downs with this godforsaken app, but this platform helped me hone my skills and gave me the courage to even dream of this moment.
