i need effort.

devotion.

a reason to believe

that what i feel isn’t one-sided.

i hope.

i try.

and right now,

i don’t know if he ever did

or if he just liked being wanted.

i’m not asking for the world.

just to be seen

like i am his world.

but his love

feels like a map

with no directions,

just a place he thought he might go

if nothing else worked out.

I just still can't believe it, after everything they went through together, after how upset Crowley was that during the Flood children were about to die, after he wasn't able to kill some goat not to mention Job's kids, after he was so sick of the Spanish Inquisition that he went to the nearest tavern and drank for a week straight, after he saved Elspeth risking Hell's punishment, after he changed his aesthetic not to be confused with fascists, after Aziraphale is knowing all this, he still accused Crowley to collaborate with the fucking Nazis?

Everything was fine until Ginny started shagging Draco Malfoy.

Or, Ginny and Draco spark up a friends with benefits relationship but after countless visits to their flat, he falls for Hermione instead.

They threw a pan on the stove and drizzled it with sesame oil and broke out all the leftover vegetables in the fridge. Ginger and chilli peppers from her garden and bell peppers and half a courgette.  Hermione was about to stand behind the frying pan when Malfoy came up behind her, placing a hand on her hip. “You look beautiful tonight,” he said in a low voice. His chest was warm against her back, his breath soft on her cheek. “I didn’t get a chance to tell you that.” “Thank you,” she replied in a stupor. It wasn’t just the compliment, but the soft caress of his voice, its possessive twinge, the way he towered over her, especially now that she’d taken off her heels. She trembled. “I love this colour on you.” He plucked the strap of her iris top. “Brightens up the whole room.” She smiled and felt his fingers flutter over her curved lips. “Not as much as this, though.” A fleeting touch before he nudged her away from the stove and took her place.

one of the reasons (i said “one of” not “only”) young men are susceptible to this kind of foolishness is the reality that many women play games. we as men have to intreprent hints and deal with women who say “no” but mean “chase me.” who say “no” but mean “yeah.” ughh it can be ugly. the way to proceed as guys is to always (always) take “no” to mean “no.” doesn’t matter if she’s playing a game, wants to be chased, wants to see how determined you are or whatever. don’t risk your freedom. if she says “no” then it’s final answer and just move on.

My favorite book this month was Free From Falling! I hadn’t planned to read it this month, but it was calling my name from the shelf and I just had to read it. It was such a wonderful book and it’s one of my top favorites of the year!
