Workplace safety is a critical concern for businesses across all industries, and electrical safety, in particular, plays an essential role in safeguarding both employees and assets. Electrical accidents are one of the leading causes of workplace injuries, and these hazards can range from electric shocks to catastrophic fires. In Ajman, as well as across the UAE, businesses are increasingly relying on PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) testing labs to ensure the safety of their electrical equipment. PAT testing plays an indispensable role in identifying potential electrical hazards before they cause harm. By partnering with a reputable PAT testing lab, businesses in Ajman can enhance workplace safety and support the overall wellbeing of their employees.
In this blog, we’ll delve into how PAT testing labs in Ajman contribute to workplace safety and employee wellbeing, focusing on the prevention of electrical hazards, compliance with regulations, and the broader benefits of maintaining a safe working environment.
Understanding PAT Testing and Its Role in Workplace Safety
PAT testing refers to the process of systematically inspecting and testing electrical appliances to ensure they are safe for use. The equipment tested includes anything that plugs into an electrical socket, from computers and power tools to portable heaters and kitchen appliances. Over time, the wear and tear that occurs from daily use, environmental exposure, and transportation can cause electrical devices to deteriorate and become unsafe.
By identifying faults such as frayed cables, exposed wiring, and damaged plugs, PAT testing helps prevent electrical accidents that could otherwise lead to workplace injuries, equipment malfunctions, or fire hazards. PAT testing ensures that each appliance is functioning properly and complies with relevant safety standards.
How PAT Testing Labs Contribute to Workplace Safety
1. Identifying and Preventing Electrical Hazards
Electrical hazards are one of the most common causes of workplace accidents. In an office, manufacturing facility, or construction site, faulty electrical equipment can lead to electric shocks, electrocution, and even fires. Regular PAT testing is an essential preventive measure that allows businesses to spot faulty electrical devices before they pose a serious risk.
PAT testing labs in Ajman perform a series of diagnostic checks on electrical equipment, inspecting the plug, cables, insulation, grounding, and functionality of each appliance. These checks help detect issues like loose connections, defective wiring, or overheating components, which can contribute to electrical hazards. By identifying these problems early, businesses can take corrective actions – such as repairing or replacing faulty appliances – before they cause any harm.
For example, in a typical office setting, the failure to test and maintain office equipment like computers, printers, or fax machines could lead to electrical fires. However, with regular PAT testing, any such hazards can be detected and eliminated. This greatly reduces the risk of accidents and keeps employees safe.
2. Ensuring Compliance with Health and Safety Regulations
The UAE has stringent health and safety regulations to protect employees in various industries. Compliance with these regulations is not only mandatory for businesses but also crucial for maintaining a safe working environment. Regular PAT testing is often a legal requirement under workplace safety laws, and businesses must ensure that all electrical appliances are regularly tested to comply with the regulations set by local authorities.
In Ajman, businesses must adhere to regulations set by government bodies such as the Ministry of Labour, local municipalities, and the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA). These bodies enforce strict safety standards to ensure that electrical appliances meet the necessary safety requirements to minimize hazards.
PAT testing labs in Ajman play a pivotal role in helping businesses comply with these regulations. They provide the required testing services and produce certification reports that prove compliance. A well-documented record of regular PAT testing demonstrates a company’s commitment to safety and adherence to local regulations, reducing the risk of penalties, fines, or legal action.
3. Supporting Employee Wellbeing and Morale
Workplace safety is closely linked to employee wellbeing and morale. When employees feel that their health and safety are prioritized, they are more likely to perform at their best and contribute positively to the workplace environment. Ensuring that electrical appliances are regularly tested helps foster a culture of safety, which in turn boosts employee confidence and morale.
PAT testing demonstrates that an employer cares about the safety of their staff. By preventing electrical accidents and reducing risks, employees feel more secure in their work environment, knowing that the company is taking proactive steps to ensure their protection. This sense of security can lead to higher employee satisfaction, better retention rates, and a more motivated workforce.
Additionally, when employees know that their workplace is regularly assessed for electrical hazards, they can focus on their work without the constant worry of potential accidents. This peace of mind enhances overall job satisfaction and contributes to a more productive and positive workplace culture.
4. Reducing Workplace Downtime and Loss of Productivity
Electrical equipment malfunctions can cause significant disruptions to business operations. A breakdown in electrical systems can lead to costly downtime, especially in industries where equipment is used continuously. For example, in a manufacturing facility, the failure of key equipment could halt production, leading to delays in project timelines and financial losses. In office environments, faulty appliances like computers and printers can disrupt workflow and communication.
PAT testing helps prevent these disruptions by identifying faults before they cause equipment failure. When electrical appliances are regularly tested, businesses can schedule repairs or replacements proactively, preventing unexpected breakdowns that could lead to operational downtime. By ensuring that all electrical equipment is in optimal working condition, businesses can maintain productivity levels and avoid the costs associated with lost time and repairs.
In Ajman, businesses that implement regular PAT testing protocols can continue their operations smoothly, avoiding the kind of disruptions that occur when safety standards are not met. A functioning and well-maintained electrical infrastructure ultimately supports the efficiency of the workforce.
5. Protecting Company Assets
Electrical appliances are often significant assets for a business, and their loss due to faults or accidents can be costly. Faulty electrical equipment can cause irreparable damage to machinery, tools, and devices, which can impact business continuity and incur high repair or replacement costs.
By partnering with PAT testing labs in Ajman, businesses can protect their valuable equipment from damage caused by electrical faults. PAT testing ensures that equipment remains in good working order, reducing the likelihood of expensive breakdowns or replacements. Regular testing also helps identify any issues before they lead to equipment failure, saving businesses from significant repair bills.
This protection of company assets is a crucial aspect of risk management, especially for businesses that rely heavily on expensive electrical equipment. It ensures that operations run smoothly without the unexpected financial burden of replacing damaged assets.
Conclusion
PAT testing labs in Ajman play a crucial role in enhancing workplace safety and supporting employee wellbeing by identifying electrical hazards, ensuring regulatory compliance, and preventing downtime. By providing regular inspections and certifications for electrical appliances, these testing labs help businesses mitigate the risk of electrical accidents, protect their assets, and foster a culture of safety and confidence in the workplace.
Moreover, implementing regular PAT testing not only contributes to a safer and more productive environment but also aligns businesses with local regulations, ensuring long-term operational success. For employers in Ajman, investing in PAT testing services is an essential step toward protecting employees, ensuring workplace safety, and supporting the overall wellbeing of the workforce.

Understanding the Legal Requirements for PAT Testing in Dubai: How Testing Labs Help | +971 554747210
In Dubai, ensuring the safety of electrical appliances in commercial and industrial environments is not just a matter of best practice—it is a legal requirement. With the rapid growth of the business sector, office buildings, hotels, warehouses, and other commercial establishments have become more reliant on electrical equipment. These electrical appliances, if left unchecked, pose potential hazards such as electrical shocks, fires, or even fatalities.
One of the most effective ways to ensure the safety of electrical appliances is through Portable Appliance Testing (PAT). PAT testing involves the inspection and testing of electrical devices to ensure they are safe for use. In Dubai, it’s vital for businesses to comply with local regulations to maintain a safe working environment and avoid legal liabilities. PAT testing lab play a crucial role in this process by providing testing services that help businesses meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
In this blog, we will explore the legal requirements for PAT testing in Dubai and how PAT testing labs assist businesses in meeting these requirements.
What is PAT Testing?
Before delving into the legal aspects, it’s important to understand what PAT testing entails. PAT testing is a process where electrical appliances are thoroughly checked for safety. The test usually involves several steps:
Visual Inspection: The technician checks the physical condition of the appliance, including the plug, cable, casing, and any visible damage or wear.
Earth Continuity Test: Ensures that the appliance is grounded properly to avoid the risk of electric shock.
Insulation Resistance Test: Detects any faults in the insulation that may allow current to escape, preventing potential electrical hazards.
Polarity Test: Checks whether the appliance’s wiring is connected correctly to prevent electric shocks.
These tests are vital in detecting faults in electrical appliances, which may not be visible to the naked eye but can pose significant safety risks.
Legal Requirements for PAT Testing in Dubai
Dubai has stringent regulations for workplace safety, and electrical safety is no exception. The Dubai Municipality, along with other regulatory bodies such as the Civil Defence, enforces laws to ensure that businesses adhere to safety standards. These regulations include requirements for regular inspections and testing of electrical equipment, particularly in offices, hotels, warehouses, and factories. The aim is to reduce the risk of electrical hazards and create a safer environment for employees, visitors, and customers.
1. Occupational Health and Safety Laws
Under Dubai's Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations, employers are required to provide a safe working environment for their employees. The regulations stipulate that electrical installations and appliances must be regularly checked to prevent accidents such as electric shocks, fires, and explosions. As part of these regulations, employers are expected to ensure that all portable electrical appliances are safe to use.
PAT testing falls under these safety guidelines, making it a legal requirement for businesses to carry out these tests at regular intervals. If a business fails to comply with these regulations, it can face penalties, fines, or even closure, depending on the severity of the violation.
2. Dubai Civil Defence Safety Regulations
The Dubai Civil Defence is responsible for ensuring that buildings and workplaces comply with fire safety regulations. Electrical appliances that are not regularly tested pose a significant fire risk, especially if there is a fault in the wiring or insulation. The Dubai Civil Defence requires businesses to conduct regular PAT testing on electrical appliances to reduce the risk of electrical fires.
The regulations stipulate that all electrical appliances used in workplaces must undergo regular safety checks to identify potential fire hazards. Failure to comply with these regulations can result in penalties and, in the case of significant risks, the suspension of business operations until compliance is achieved.
3. Building and Electrical Safety Standards
Dubai also has strict building codes and electrical safety standards that businesses must adhere to. These standards are designed to prevent accidents caused by faulty electrical equipment. The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) plays a key role in ensuring that all electrical installations and appliances meet the required standards.
PAT testing ensures that all electrical appliances used in commercial environments are compliant with these standards. By carrying out regular testing, businesses can avoid violations of electrical safety codes, ensuring that they meet both local and international safety requirements.
How PAT Testing Labs Help Businesses in Dubai
PAT testing labs play a crucial role in helping businesses comply with Dubai's stringent safety regulations. These specialized labs provide the necessary testing and certification services to ensure that all electrical appliances are safe for use. Let’s explore how PAT testing labs help businesses meet legal requirements in Dubai.
1. Compliance with Regulatory Requirements
PAT testing labs in Dubai are equipped with the latest tools and expertise to conduct thorough safety checks on electrical appliances. By partnering with a PAT testing lab, businesses can ensure that their appliances comply with local regulations set by the Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence, and DEWA. The testing lab provides businesses with the necessary documentation to prove compliance during inspections or audits.
This documentation, which includes test certificates and reports, is vital for businesses to demonstrate that they have met the legal requirements for electrical safety. It also helps businesses avoid penalties or fines for non-compliance.
2. Ensuring Workplace Safety
One of the primary roles of PAT testing labs is to ensure workplace safety. By conducting regular testing on electrical appliances, these labs help businesses identify potential hazards that could lead to accidents such as electric shocks, fires, or explosions.
For example, an appliance with damaged wiring or insulation can pose a serious risk, but it may not be immediately obvious. PAT testing labs use advanced equipment to detect such faults and ensure that all appliances are safe for use. This proactive approach significantly reduces the risk of accidents and injuries in the workplace.
3. Providing Expert Advice and Recommendations
PAT testing labs are staffed by experts who have in-depth knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations. These professionals can provide valuable advice to businesses about how to maintain their appliances and ensure their safety.
For instance, a PAT testing lab might recommend replacing old or damaged appliances or suggest more energy-efficient models to help businesses reduce their environmental impact. Additionally, the lab can advise on the frequency of testing required for different types of appliances, helping businesses stay on top of their safety obligations.
4. Risk Mitigation
Regular PAT testing helps identify potential risks before they result in damage or accidents. PAT testing labs can detect faults such as poor insulation, broken earth connections, or damaged plugs, all of which could lead to serious safety issues if left unchecked.
By identifying these risks early, businesses can take corrective action—such as repairing or replacing faulty appliances—before a more serious problem arises. This proactive approach to risk mitigation helps businesses avoid costly repairs, legal liabilities, and potential harm to employees or customers.
5. Streamlining Insurance Claims
In Dubai, businesses must carry insurance coverage for potential accidents and damages. Many insurance providers require proof of regular safety checks, including PAT testing, as a condition for policy coverage. If a business fails to provide this proof, it may struggle to claim insurance in the event of an electrical accident.
PAT testing labs provide businesses with the necessary certification and documentation to support insurance claims. This ensures that businesses are properly covered and can recover costs if an electrical-related incident occurs.
Conclusion
PAT testing is a vital component of workplace safety in Dubai. It helps businesses comply with local regulations, reduce the risk of electrical accidents, and create a safer working environment for employees and customers. By partnering with a PAT testing lab, businesses can ensure that their electrical appliances are regularly tested and certified for safety, meeting the stringent requirements set by the Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence, and DEWA.
With the assistance of a PAT testing lab, businesses can demonstrate compliance, mitigate risks, and protect their assets. By ensuring that their appliances meet safety standards, businesses not only adhere to legal requirements but also foster a culture of safety and responsibility that benefits both employees and clients.

UNEXPECTED GUESTS II
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
jason x reader, platonic!damian wayne
divider by: @cafekitsune & @thecutestgrotto& @omi-resources word count: 857 synopsis: Jason’s secret relationship is discovered by Damian—who keeps showing up uninvited. Jason’s patience is tested, popcorn is made, but at least Damian brought cinnamon rolls. a/n: y’all I’m still new to posting on tumblr, idk how to respond to your reblogs, but thank you for all the love!!
Tumblr media
It started with a puzzle.
Then it became a movie.
Then it was breakfast.
Then game night.
You weren’t exactly sure how it happened, but somewhere between Damian’s first drop-in and now, he had quietly and confidently moved in emotionally. No key, no warning—just a kid who appeared at your door like a stray cat who decided you were his human now.
Jason was not amused.
“Babe,” he muttered one night, standing in the kitchen with a towel slung over his shoulder, “I think he lives here now.”
You didn’t even look up from where you and Damian were halfway through a Harry Potter movie marathon. “He brought cinnamon rolls. That buys him, like, three hours.”
Jason’s eye twitched. “That’s what you said yesterday.”
“And yet here we are. With cinnamon rolls.”
Damian didn’t even glance away from the TV. “You’re welcome.”
Tumblr media
It didn’t stop.
Damian started showing up with snacks. Then books. Then a bonsai tree that he insisted would bring “calming energy” to the apartment—though Jason was convinced it was a surveillance device.
The turning point was when Jason came home from patrol to find you and Damian doing face masks while bickering over whether Batman could take John Wick in a fight, without prep time.
“I hate it here,” Jason muttered, dropping onto the couch like gravity had personally wronged him.
“No, you don’t,” you said, patting the spot beside you.
Damian looked smug. “You should exfoliate more. Your skin is tired.”
Jason looked like he aged five years on the spot.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, across Gotham, the rest of the Bat-family had questions.
“He skipped patrol again,” Tim muttered, narrowing his eyes at the tracker on his screen. “He’s somewhere in Crime Alley, but he’s not moving. That’s not like him.”
“He’s not fighting crime?” Dick asked, frowning as he squinted at the grainy feed Tim managed to pull from one of Gotham’s ancient surveillance cameras. “Is he injured?”
“No,” Tim said, zooming in. “I think he’s… playing Monopoly?”
Dick raised an incredulous eyebrow. “He’s doing what?”
Tim leaned closer. “Wait—never mind. That might be a bomb.”
“I’m following him tonight,” Tim declared. “See what he’s hiding.”
“I’m going with you,” Dick said. “Damage control. Just in case he really has joined a criminal syndicate without telling Bruce.”
Tumblr media
That night, they tailed Damian across rooftops, watching as he made his usual unannounced entrance into Jason’s apartment through the fire escape like it was a routine—and it was. By now, you’d already prepped hot cocoa, and a blanket was folded on the couch just for him.
Jason wasn’t home yet. Which meant Damian had free reign.
When Tim and Dick peered through the neighboring rooftop window, they expected secrets. Schematics. Maybe even an underground lab.
What they found was you and Damian arguing about whether waffles or pancakes were the superior breakfast food while watching John Wick in an aggressively cozy blanket fort.
Tim blinked. “Is that a fort?”
“Oh my god,” Dick whispered. “He has a fort buddy.”
Tumblr media
Jason returned an hour later, tired, sweaty, and one patrol away from an identity crisis.
He prayed Damian was gone so he could finally have some alone time with you. Every time he tried to initiate anything romantic, the little demon just happened to be there—coincidentally, of course.
But what awaited him was somehow worse.
The moment he stepped inside, he froze.
Dick and Tim were seated at your kitchen table, sipping cocoa. Damian was calmly painting from he sat beside you, and you looked like you were completely unfazed by the three vigilantes in your living room.
“Don’t say it,” Jason groaned, setting his helmet down.
“We followed Damian,” Dick grinned. “Turns out he’s been living a double life.”
Tim nodded solemnly. “I think he’s cheating on us.”
Jason dragged a hand down his face. “Of course you idiots followed him.”
“Her cooking is nearly on par with Pennyworth’s,” Damian said casually, not looking up from his brushwork. “And she doesn’t interrupt me when I’m watching Lord of the Rings.”
Dick raised a brow. “Lord of the Rings?”
“It’s a cinematic masterpiece,” you replied without missing a beat and Dick didn’t question it.
“We just wanted to meet the person responsible for his personality transplant,” Dick said with a teasing smile. “He’s been nice lately. It’s suspicious.”
You shrugged. “We made a deal. He’s nice to everyone else, and I let him pick Friday night movies.”
Tim gestured dramatically. “She tamed the demon.”
Jason looked up to the ceiling like he was searching for divine intervention. “Why are all of you here?”
“We came for answers,” Tim said.
“We stayed for the snacks,” Dick added.
“And the Wi-Fi,” Tim finished.
Jason looked at you.
You smiled sweetly. “Cinnamon rolls?”
He sighed, walked into the kitchen, and took one off the tray. “I hate all of you.”
But he didn’t leave.
Not when you handed him his mug. Not when you leaned into his side. Not even when Damian held up his newest painting like it was the Mona Lisa.
Jason looked around his overcrowded apartment—full of noise, cocoa, and chaos.
“…You’re all sleeping on the floor.”

Mine, Only Mine — Mr. Crawling, Gap, Silvair, Chopped, Hugeface, and Scarletella x gn! reader
Tumblr media
summery: how jealous do some of the Homicipher boys get?
tw: unhealthy relationships (Mr. Hugeface & Scarletella)
wc: 1.2k
Master List
Tumblr media
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ Mr. Crawling
❥I know people have written about how he gets jealous…but I don’t really think he does? Or at least not terribly. The scene with Mr. Chopped and the cat ears show that Mr. Crawling won’t pout or get sad at you showing affection to others, just that he wants to gain the same attention (the ear scene…). So jealousy with Mr. Crawling isn’t too bad, just be prepared to shower him with more affection than the person you originally did.
❥On the other hand, I do think his jealousy may increase if you ignore him. Say you give more attention to Mr. Scarletella, Mr. Crawling would get a bit sad and pouty, thinking you don’t like him anymore. If this happens, give him lots and lots of attention and reassurance, he’ll be super grateful. I mean he loves your affection anyways, so might as well give him some extra headpats and kisses. Even better if you only show certain signs of affection with him, it makes him feel special.
❥Overall, not the most jealous, but not completely unaffected either. Make sure he gets his daily dose of attention/quality time and he’ll be as right as rain.
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ Mr. Gap
❥Uh, he gets more jealous than you’d think. Like…his whole thing is he wants to be special to you…in his own strange way. Doesn’t like the thought of someone taking his place as a jokester to you. Also why he brings you things he’d think you like from time to time, just to make sure you still have that special place in your heart for him <3
❥Hates hate hates when you call him bad or not good. He’s good! He swears! Remember how he’s helped you before! Gets all frowny when you call him not good and then call someone else good. He’s good too! Guess he has to prove it, AGAIN. It’s honestly kind of endearing how he has no clue how he actually kind of does like you? But not exactly in a romantic way? It’s honestly hard to label his feelings towards you, so why should I?
❥I’d say he’s the second most jealous in this list of characters, watching on angrily as you praise someone that isn’t him. Be prepared for magazines and books galore when he’s in this mood, trying to prove his worth to you. Kind of strange for someone to try so hard when they claim to not like you…
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ Mr. Silvair
❥Definitely the chillest one here. Doesn’t really get jealous at all :/ If anything, he finds it entertaining when you’re affectionate with others. Gives him more insight to his lab rats. Yes, he sees everyone as a lab rat. Idk, I can’t really see him get jealous.
❥Maybe…MAYBE if someone else tries doing research on you, or if Ms. Nurse treats you instead he’ll feel a bit off. Like…you’re his test subject, he knows you from the inside out…literally and not in the fun sense. Why would you go to someone who doesn’t know as much about you and how this world affects you? It’s very hard to spot his jealousy, doesn’t even notice it/recognize it himself. He just doesn’t want anyone to mess up his data…that’s all…totally.
❥In conclusion, not really jealous. Doesn’t feel like he needs to be. You’re ‘friends’, doctor and patient, mad scientist and lab rat not many others threaten that balance between you.
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ Mr. Chopped
❥Honestly…Mr. Chopped I’m kinda mixed on how he’d be. Like on one hand, I could totally see him getting jealous if you call others cute or pay too much attention to them. On the other…he could probably care less. He loves himself, you love him, why does he need to get jealous? It’s clear how much you like him with the way you pamper him. I mean we get so many examples where you’re affectionate to Mr. Crawling in front of Mr. Chopped and he doesn’t really bat an eye.
❥Now, I can see if he gets a bit insecure he might get more jealous. Whether it be because Mr. Crawling pats your head or tucks you into bed, Mr. Chopped feels a bit sad. He’d like to tuck you in, you look so comfy. Might be just a bit pouty, eyeing you like a dissatisfied cat. Easily rectified with head pats or even cuddles. Gets side tracked from his jealousy as soon as you give him a sliver of attention honestly.
❥Mr. Chopped is fifty fifty when it comes to jealousy, but it’s never too bad. He’s pretty comfortable with what you both have and doesn’t really feel threatened by others. After all, you did call him cute.
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ Mr. Hugeface
❥I wouldn’t say he gets jealous? More possessive than anything. Like that scene when Mr. Machete stumbles into his little makeshift dollhouse that he made for you and gets all angry that he’s there. It’s more of a ‘you’re not supposed to be here, this is our playtime’ more than actual jealousy. Throws a little fit whenever someone messes up your playtime. Very accusatory lmao.
❥Does not like when you try to escape. Was he not providing enough for you? Were you unhappy? You’re not allowed to leave! You’re his cute human! He can’t just find another one y’know. Mr. Hugeface may be lenient if he sees you happier, you need enrichment after all. Feels extra happy if you come back on your own violation.
❥The most childish out of all the characters on this list. Isn’t afraid to throw tantrums, will also punish you by putting you in a solid concrete cube if he’s really upset. Yeah…not the most healthy of relationships to have…BUT! I do think you could convince him to be a bit better…? Maybe? Only if you put enough work in communicating with him though. Maybe punish him in your own way like leaving for longer if he threatens to trap you.
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ Mr. Scarletella
❥Uhhhhhhhhhhh. Top of the list when it comes to jealousy. Watches your every move with curiosity and spite. Why are you doing that to Mr. Crawling? Do it to him instead. Why do you look so happy braiding Mr. Chopped’s hair? Style his hair instead. Why are you looking so fondly amused at Mr. Gap? Don’t you find him amusing? You do like him, right? He likes you. He likes you a lot, and he thought he was enough…was he not?
❥Will stare through your skull. It is so intimidating. His smile? Strained, it makes your skin crawl. You have to make sure he doesn’t hurt your friends, he’s so close to snapping, but he knows that would upset you and that’s not his goal. So instead he stands ominously in the background, body staticing in and out while his hand clenches the handle of his umbrella.
❥Not that easily mended. Likes to monopolize all your time and affection. Needs constant reassurance as well, he’s quite needy. If you like constant validation and no social life go for it, just don’t get too upset if he threatens your other monster friends…he can’t stand that you could like someone that wasn’t him.

“Ghosts, Greens, and Gotham Gays”
aka: Danny Becomes Harley and Ivy’s New Favorite, Vlad Loses More Hair
Vlad was begging Bruce at this point. Begging.
“Keep him inside for one day, Brucie. Please. For my heart. For my blood pressure. For Gotham’s structural integrity.”
Bruce just took a sip of his black coffee and said, “He’s helping Ivy. It’s fine.”
Vlad gaped. “Helping—Ivy?!”
“Mmhm. Something about cross-referencing chlorokinetic frequencies with ecto-resonance.”
“That’s NOT A SENTENCE A CHILD SHOULD SAY—”
Bruce: “He asked first.”
Meanwhile – Ivy’s Greenhouse (Technically a Crime Lair)
Pamela Isley stood with arms crossed, watching as Danny held a softly glowing green hand over a wilting rose hybrid.
He hummed.
The flower perked up.
The surrounding vines quivered, then bloomed in synchronized delight.
“…He’s not Photosynthesizing,” Ivy whispered.
Harley peeked out from the couch, where she was doing her nails and sipping a neon slushie. “He’s ghost-synthesizing! Told ya!”
Danny looked up and smiled. “It’s like ghost CPR. I’m not a botanist, but I can nudge their ambient soul energy.”
“…Plants don’t have souls,” Ivy said, a bit flat.
Danny patted the vine beside him. It curled around his wrist like a cat and purred.
“…I stand corrected.”
Chaos, But Make It Helpful
Harley was already calling him “Spooky Nibbles” by hour two. (“'Cause ya nibble on chaos, kiddo!”)
Danny, somehow, was:
Helping Ivy revive a nearly extinct bioluminescent flower.
Fixing Harley’s blender with ghost tech so it never jammed again.
Casually mentioning he once made a haunted terrarium that ate cheaters in lab.
“I like this one,” Ivy said, very seriously. “Can we keep him?”
Harley nodded. “He’s got Big Gremlin Energy. Like me but with glowy hands.”
Danny beamed. “Thanks! Uncle Vlad says I’m a walking supernatural violation.”
Pam looked at Vlad, who had finally shown up and was hovering at the doorway like a stressed Victorian governess.
“You never said your godson was delightful,” she said.
“He’s not!” Vlad hissed. “He’s a menace with manners!”
Harley leaned over and whispered to Ivy, “He’s got good ankles too. Vlad’s lucky I’m married.”
Ivy: “So is Vlad.”
Later That Day: A Totally Normal, Casual Ghost Plant Uprising
The rogue CEO of GreenerCorp—an evil pharmaceutical company known for shady testing—arrived to “reclaim his investment” and “teach Isley a lesson.”
Danny stared at him across Ivy’s garden.
CEO Guy: “You’re just a kid. I’m not scared of you.”
Danny: “Oh. That’s okay.”
He raised a hand.
The temperature dropped.
The soil glowed.
Plants started whispering in languages no one understood. A massive vine rose behind Danny, pulsing with ghostly energy. The CEO tripped backward into his own security guard.
Danny took a step forward and said, very politely:
“You should leave before the ghost roses start asking questions.”
The CEO screamed. Ivy gave him a sticker that said “You Messed With The Wrong Garden.” Harley filmed the whole thing and posted it with the caption: “Our spooky nephew made a man pee himself 💚🖤🌿👻”
Later – Back at the Manor
Bruce watched the footage. Vlad was face-down on the couch, groaning into a throw pillow. Tim had already turned the video into a meme. Damian was inspecting one of the ghost plants Danny brought back. “Can I keep it?” Cass nodded. “It likes you.” Jason: “He’s now officially in the Ivy-Harley inner circle. That’s better than the damn Mayor.”
Danny poked his head in from the kitchen, covered in potting soil and ghost glitter.
“I made ecto-compost cookies! They’re great for photosynthesis and graveyard shifts.”
Vlad: screaming internally again
Bruce patted Vlad’s back. “He’s doing well.”
“He joined a villain gardening cult.”
“They like him.”
“EVERYONE LIKES HIM.”
“Maybe you should try it.”
Vlad made a sound like a dying Roomba and walked straight into the wall.

Working for Miguel O’Hara was like squeezing a watermelon through a straw. He was impossible.
Nothing you did was ever satisfactory for him. Something could always be fixed. Sometimes, you wonder why he still kept you employed here.
Currently, he was turning his nose up at a salve you were working on for spiders whose healing time wasn’t nearly as quick as others.
“Run a new test. This batch is no good.”
“What’s wrong with it?”
“The formula could be better, it’s too thick, and why does it smell like that?”
The scent was similar to one you wore often and a lot of the spider-people that swung by the pharmacy seemed to like it.
“Uh, jade tea.”
The pinch in Miguel’s eyebrows deepened as he sniffed the air.
“Switch it to something else.”
You huffed, already tired of this conversation, “Well, what smell do you suggest?”
“Anything but this.”
“How about lavender, then? Perhaps peppermint.”
“And now, you’re being childish,” Miguel put the tin down before placing his hands on his hips. “You know there’s spider-people who can’t smell too much of that.”
“Yeah, I got it.”
He plopped a giant file on your desk, “Deal with that later. I need you to work on something else. For some reason, villains across dimensions are obtaining access to a substance similar to rapture. Every time there’s a mission, the spider-person of that dimension has been left affected. I need something to subside the effects until we can get them back here.”
“Ok, well do you have the substance with you?”
“No. But I’ll get you something soon. For now, I have a year’s worth of research on rapture. It should be of some use.”
You took the rubber band off of the manilla folder, something so old school for this era of tech.
You saw a line of formulas that started to make your head spin.
“Are there a lot of people affected right now?”
“Only a few. They’ve used the leftover solution I made a long time ago. It’s only going to work for so long,”
“Good. I need to sleep on this.”
Miguel’s head knocked back an inch, “Are you refusing work? The state of the heroes of different universes relies on this research. It’s not some science project-“
“I understand completely, Miguel, but I’m off the clock.”
He stopped and checked his watch, the red six o’clock burning back on him.
“I only work the hours you pay me, Spidey,” you reach to pat his arm and regret it when his stern face doesn’t move.
“Not interested in paid overtime?”
You bit your cheek to stop the laugh from coming out.
“That’s nice and all, but I’ve got plans.”
“Like what?”
“Like resting, sleeping, not touching lab work with a you-sized pole. All of these are things you aren’t familiar with. Plus, I have a date.”
A pause went through the room as you started to gather your things.
“Since when do you date?”
You push your chair under your desk harder than you mean to, “Since when do you care?”
“I,” he follows to the elevator, “care about my employees.”
“Sure, Miguel.”
If it weren’t for your tired state, you would think he looks a little sad at your statement.
“See you tomorrow, then?”
The doors start to close as you nod your head, Miguel’s gaze stuck just above your head.
Weird. Just like his frequent stops to your lab.
The feeling doesn’t leave your gut even as you’re smiling in your date’s face.
One minute, you’re laughing at a story about some amateur skateboarders Downtown, and the next, an electric billboard is being covered in tiny nano-spiders across the street.
“So the guy just takes one step on the board and then he’s flying. A straight line across the park.”
“That’s,” the spiders start to crawl into different lines. Then a logo forms, displaying the spider on Miguel’s suit next to an exclamation point. “So hilarious.”
Your date chuckles then follows your gaze, the silence too long, “Is there something wrong?”
The nano-spiders flipped around, the regular billboard showing like normal. You squint.
“No, I thought I saw something. Must have been my imagination.”
“You did say you were a little tired from work. Should we raincheck? We can always catch a movie another time.”
You wanted to say no, you’d been looking forward to tonight.
The billboard flickered to a little picture of Lyla with “SOS” above her head.
“Yeah, I should probably get going. Sorry about this.”
The way he doesn’t sweat you practically ditching him makes your heart pang. You’re already dreading another night exhausted and alone. Your date seemed promising.
You wave at him from your taxi, the route leading back to Spider HQ feeling like torture. You unclasp your purse and check your gizmo.
40 missed messages.
It’s not until you’re walking into the regular lobby that you turn it on.
“What is so important that you waste Margo’s time to interrupt my time?”
Lyla pops in your peripheral, hands up and wary, “I’m only doing what boss asks! Don’t get mad at me.”
“Lyla, why am I back here right now?”
“Well, Miguel has gotten himself in some particular trouble.”
You punch the elevator button, “Get to the point, please.”
“He went into your lab to try and start the solution he talked about earlier. After his first accident, he’s never had any luck with lab work, so uh. He’s kind of made a mess.”
The elevator moves and you look at Lyla, “What kind of mess?”
The doors open and you can smell it before you see it.
It’s poignant, like perfume soaked roses and patchouli. The scent hits you hard enough to make you grip the metal opening as you come out.
“What exactly did he do?” you breathe out.
Your limbs start to shake, nerves drumming from the inside out. A weight feels like it landed on your core, your stomach twitching as you continued to take in whatever had transpired.
“Something about DNA splicing and plants. I can trace his movements back if you’d like, but I’m also currently trying to figure out how to reverse it.”
“Great.”
You swing open the door to a disheveled Miguel. He’s sweating profusely as he tries to clean up your lab desk.
Before you can even begin to yell he’s fussing, “Lyla, I told you not to call her!”
“But you obviously don’t know what you’re doing.”
He bites his lip as he tries not to look at you, fingers trembling as he starts to store materials back into their drawers.
“Thought you had a date.”
“And I thought I told you stay away from my station,” you feel like a baby deer walking over to him.
When you get closer he sucks in his breath like you cut him, stopping in his tracks.
“I don’t think you should be near me,” he grunts. His eyes are dark, lips swollen with the way he’s biting them.
“What are you talking about? I’m trying to help you.”
You round the corner of the desk, the image of you two almost comical. Miguel moves to the edge of the desk, chest moving faster, while you chase after him trying to get a hand on his forehead.
He felt extremely cold compared to the numbness of your palm, despite how flushed he looked. His eyes close as your hand slides from his head to his neck, muscles there tensing.
“Please. Don’t,” he whispers.
“Who else is coming here to save you?” you ask, frustrated. “What did you do anyway?”
He doesn’t answer as he peers at you. Your heart is beating faster and you can’t tell if it’s because of the air or because of the way he looks like he’s about to climb you.
Every move you made felt like sharp pricks in your skin, the tight material of your dress digging into your hips. It felt like the ends of burning flames and you wanted it off. Your breaths were picking up and you couldn’t quite comprehend what was going on other than Miguel being your cooling solution.
“Miguel,” you sounded like you ran a marathon when all you did was step into his space.
“It’s the shocking formula that I screwed up. That’s why everything feels-“
“Like I need you,” you interrupt. “Like I want you on top of me.”
The insides of your thighs were fighting against themselves to stay together, the urge to let your legs fall around him strong.
“That’s just the chemicals talking. W-we can get somewhere safe and separated.”
You grab the back of his neck and pull yourself even closer, his hands gripping the table like a lifeline as he groans.
“So you don’t want me?” you press against him, caging a knee around him right next to his hand. “You don’t think about me?”
You can almost feel his heartbeat matching yours as you pull yourself up.
“I didn’t say that.”
“You don’t wonder how I feel when you come into my lab snooping around? How I feel when you come in here barking orders?”
Your face is in his neck and you feel yourself clench around nothing as you take a deep breath. He smells like coffee and fabric softener, but there’s an underlying wave of musk. Of something so unbelievably him and you want to keep that scent close forever.
“I imagine you’re annoyed. But a job is a job.”
“But you still come in here asking for things you know someone else can do,” your panties are soaked, and from the way his nose flares, you know he knows. “Why?”
His teeth grit as you start to grind on him, the feeling giving you an inch of relief that only makes you want more.
“I, I don’t- It’s because I,” the counter began to crack under his hands. His muscles were pulled taut. “Dios, ayúdame.”
Maybe you were wrong, and your hazy mind only brought thoughts from the subconscious one.
“Fine. I get that you don’t like me but could you at least give me some type of relief?” you were whining in his ears at this point, a complete 180 of how you left him earlier today. With every grind of your hips, you left noises in his skin, desperate.
The desk made a terrible sound as Miguel finally lets go and grabs around your waist. Your breath is slammed out of you as your back hits the wall, Miguel’s hand holding your head to stop it from crashing into the wall too.
Your throat makes a gargled sound as Miguel licks down your jaw, his talons ripping into your dress. His tongue swipes into your mouth, breaths rapid as he finally gets a taste.
“I do like you. More than I should,” his words were passed right into you. “You and your smart mouth.”
“Then stop talking and do something about it.”
A yank in your hair stops your complaints, Miguel kissing down your side. Every press of his lips left a chilly flutter. Your hips are moving frantically, patience wearing thin. Right as you’re about to say something again, he flips you, the layers of your dress falling as he rips into your panties.
The blood rushes to your head as he takes a bite into your thigh, sucking as your legs fall to his shoulders.
You moan his name, hands gripping at his thighs. His kisses led to your lips, swollen and dripping. From your clit to your entrance, he groaned as he covered you, drinking like you were water in the middle of the night.
You felt like you were going to slip, but Miguel’s arms were looped around your legs, not letting go. His suit was in your way, your mouth salivating as his crotch stared back at you. Your fingers could only dig as far as his suit allows and you have half a mind to call Lyla to disengage it.
“Please,” you sigh as you rub his bulge with your cheek. “I need it so bad.”
“Cállate,” he hums, face delving deeper into you. The sound of him licking up every drop echos off the cool walls and the light of his suit dims away letting you see what you’ve been waiting for.
His length hits your chin, precum spilling down and you’ve never been more excited for a man to go commando. You open your mouth and let your breath hit him as you take a swipe down to his balls.
Miguel’s grunts and shifts his hips back. His tip swerves around your face as he tries to find your mouth without unlatching his jaw from your sex. You help out with the last bit of sanity you have, and once you wrap your lips around him, his hips snap hard onto you.
All you can feel is Miguel entering you from top to bottom, his hands keeping you stationed in your position. There’s no room to do anything as he’s devouring you and taking your breath away at the same time. Two of his fingers sink into you, and you jerk from the difference between his skin and his tongue.
Miguel nibbles at the hood of your clit, urging you to be still. Whenever his fingers leave you, his pelvis fills your senses. Your throat gags around him, spit building to keep up with his thrusts.
“So good,” he hums. His pace picks up and the tears in your eyes fall to the floor. “Made for me. Only me.”
Your fingers wrap around his thighs and squeeze tight, your vision fading as you try to take in pockets of air. The shake in your legs and the broken moans that escaped your lips only ignited him.
“Bebé,” his hips stutter. He’s sloppy as he drools over the entrance, voice loud. “Bebé, you’re so, ngh.”
He cums down your throat, balls twitching against your face. You close your eyes and try to swallow everything, jaw aching. Miguel groans your name as he slides his dick out to the tip, a few spurts still landing on your lips. You cough, position making everything go north.
The taste of him was delicious, but you needed more of him elsewhere. Your mouth was as drenched as your cunt and yet you still felt empty.
When Miguel flips you back upright, you’re ready to pounce on him again. The state of you both is alarming. Your breasts have completely fallen out of your dress, that black thing barely holding on by its zipper. Miguel’s suit is phasing in and out in the most obscene places. There’s slick up to his eyebrows and his cum is all over your cheeks.
He grabs your jaw and runs his tongue over your face, cleaning up his mess. You let him live in his own bubble before that burning in your core came back.
Your nails dig into his shoulders and your whispers of “more” come to light. You’re clawing at him like a cat begging him to do something, anything, to make this feeling go away.
“Miguel,” you gasp as he sinks his teeth into your skin. “Miguel, it hurts. Fix it, Miggy, please.”
You guide his hands down your body and place them on your ass. His touch sates you for only a moment, but your body reacts as if he needs to be deep in your bones. He spreads your ass and groans as the sound of how eager you are for him follows.
“You’re not ready,” are the words that make you even more frustrated. Your hands pushing and pulling at him, ready to try and put him where you want him to go.
He clicks his teeth and flexes his wrists. His webs tie your wrists together, neon red strings leaving a buzz on your skin. He yanks your dress off and you stumble with the motions.
The clinical room doesn’t aid the building heat you feel, but Miguel turning you around and pressing you into the wall as he cuts the rest of your panties off does.
He squats and grabs two hands full of you.
He spits onto your hole, mesmerized as he watches it slide to your entrance. “Qué hermosa,” he whispers.
You bend, whimpering as your folds cover his nose, clenching and grinding.
“God,” you sigh. Something this small was going to bring you to the edge so quickly. “D-don’t stop.”
“Greedy,” Miguel says as if he’s not moving the fat of your ass to nudge his face into you. The arch in your back deepens as he continues and your whines get higher.
He smacks your right cheek, sound echoing off the metal tables, and you shout his name as you coat his tongue.
Tranquility clears your mind for a second, one where the flowery scent in the air is less strong.
The peace leaves just as fast as it came when Miguel gets rid of his suit and stands behind you in all of his glory.
His eyes followed from your dewey face to the curve of your hips to bitten thighs to feet with one heel still on.
“He didn’t deserve to see this,” he says.
“W-what?”
Miguel ignores you and pulls your wrists up straight, a confused noise leaving you. He wraps another web around your ankles and huffs. He sets your arms under your chest, your hands in front of you like a prayer.
When he picks you up by your waist, his dick lines up with your ass.
He groans as he grinds, watching himself disappear and reappear.
You try to move with him, “No, not there. Inside.”
“You’re always so distracting,” he growls. He slides his length between your thick thighs and you nearly scream as his hips hit your ass, his tip just barely passing over your clit. “Can never think straight when I see you.”
He rubbed over the bite he left on your shoulder, “So pretty. My pretty baby.”
His low voice right in your ears only made you wetter. He was holding you like you were his toy, fucking the inside of your thighs with ease.
Miguel could cry watching your ass bounce on his stomach. Your legs were soft and warm and he just couldn’t stop.
“Want you so bad. Need to fuck you again and again and again,” he said as your thighs quivered around him.
“Please, Miguel. Make me yours,” your voice crowded the sound of his grunts as he held you up and pounded away.
Those were the magic words to get him to lean back with a firm grip on you and release all over the wall. It was everywhere, from your legs to the wall to the ceiling.
He set you to the floor with shaky arms, and you started to sob.
All of this and you still wanted more. If this was making you feel this insane, you can only imagine the small relief Miguel was feeling after being exposed for longer.
“C’mere,” he pulls you to the bare floor and cuts the webs. You immediately try to climb him, legs wrapping around his waist.
He was painfully hard for someone who came twice now.
Your cries of “inside” slur together, tears running down your face. Miguel was no better, fangs dripping with venom and the hairs on skin raised.
The two of you tussle as Miguel tries to keep your hips to stay stationary. You kept jerking in order to get some sort of friction but he was baring his teeth to get you to quit.
You dip your nails into his shoulders and arms while he drags a talon down your sternum to snap your bra off.
A clatter of your stiletto sounds off across the room as he pinches your thigh, “Easy, beautiful. Let me take care of you, yeah?”
“Fucking hurry,” you whine.
He shushes as he plunges inside of you, the noise you both make as loud as a choir.
Your eyes roll back as Miguel presses, bending your body in half.
“You’re going to be the death of me,” Miguel leans to whisper onto your lips.
Tight is the first thing that comes to mind and heat is the next.
He moves his hips up and slams back down, your ass shifting from the pressure.
“Miguel!”
“That’s it. Talk to me.” All of that chatter earlier and now you can barely get out a word.
“H-harder,” your hands don’t know where to go. They’re grabbing Miguel, they’re falling next to your head, they’re grabbing at your breasts as Miguel jerks your body.
Miguel goes to open your jaw, lips pulling on your tongue to suck. It’s tender and sensual compared to the way his balls are slapping against you. There’s a ring of white on his shaft getting thicker and thicker as he continues.
“Pretty thing,” he says as he lets your tongue go, a string of saliva falling to your neck. “Watched you on the cameras. Always.”
That stirs something in you, a spark in your chest as you see stars.
“Did you want to do this to me when you watched me?” you manage out.
“Yes.”
“I can put on a show for you next time.”
“Yes.”
“You can come in here. ‘N fuck me over the counter.”
“Sí, sí, baby,” his hands push your knees next to your head and he ruts against you. His thighs were straining as he took and took.
A yell pulls itself from your core, that burning feeling getting a crash of cold water. The dam bursts and you’re running all over Miguel, essence leaving every time he inches out and back in.
“Gonna fill you up,” he rasps, eyes glazed over.
You nod your head, clenching and pulsing around him.
His eyes don’t leave yours as he shudders against you. You suck him in, gaining a deep moan from him, “Así, bebé. Take it.”
It’s like you can finally think as his cum overflows, your heart rate finally slowing.
He stares at you as you both come back to reality. Your body is limp, the weight of Miguel making itself known.
“Holy shit,” you wiggle and he catches the hint. He lifts a bit and pulls out. The swirl of you two falls out of you in waves. “What. The fuck.”
“God,” Miguel mumbles. “No shocking way we just did that.”
“You can’t say that when the evidence is leaking out of me.”
Miguel groans as he watches you, your face pouty and your hole glistening. It was intoxicating.
His dick twitches, coming to life again the longer he watches.
“‘M sorry in advance,” he says as he pulls you into his lap.
“Just take care of it, O’Hara.”
Tumblr media
The two of you sat in the middle of the floor, breathing hard. Pieces of consciousness were starting to come back.
“You looked stunning tonight,” Miguel said. He looked at your shredded dress on the floor. “I’m glad he won’t see you in that dress anymore.”
The snort that leaves your nose turns into a full-blown laugh.
“What’s so funny?”
“You just took my soul ten times over and you’re worried about a guy I just met less than a week ago. I fear I’m ruined for anyone else.”
“Oh,” he smiles. “Good.”
“You still should take me on a date. You’ve got a lot to explain.”
Flashes of him confessing to his habit of watching you from afar come back, “O-of course.”
“And you owe me a new dress.”
“On it.”
Lyla pops up next to you both, a blindfold over her shades, “Is it safe to talk to you guys now?”
Miguel checks his gizmo, “I think we’re good for about forty minutes. The effects are starting to wear off.”
“Excellent!” She throws the fabric to the side, “Oh my god, this room is a mess.”
You look at the array of substances over the room and grimace. The entire hall will have to be on lockdown.
“Well, I managed to vent out the solution. You two should be ok soon.”
You lean on Miguel’s chest and close your eyes, happy to hear good news.
“Kind of sad that this is what it took for you to confess, Miguel,” she comments.
“Lyla!”
You laugh again, “Some confession.”
“That’s enough,” Miguel scowls.
Your giggles die down as you pull yourself onto Miguel’s thigh, bubbles in your chest molding into moans as you start to grind over his thigh.
“I’m starting to think you guys are just bluffing,” Lyla gags before she disappears. “Let me know when you’re done.”
“I think,” you nuzzle into his neck, “this’ll be the last time. I’m tired.”
“If not, we can take it to my house.”
The world blurs again as you and Miguel connect under the white lights.

Batboys x alien!reader
Scenario: “You’re an Alien, But They’re Falling for You Anyway”
You crash-landed on Earth during a low-stakes invasion and never left. You’re trying to understand human customs and hide your powers.
Jason Todd x Alien!Reader
• He’s suspicious at first. “What do you mean you don’t have blood?”
• Accidentally falls for you after you save a kitten using telekinesis and then ask if it’s “a young Earth predator.”
• Loves how unbothered you are by danger. “That guy had a grenade.” “Yes. I ate it.”
• You don’t understand flirting, so he keeps trying increasingly obvious moves until you finally ask, “Are you trying to initiate mating rituals?”
• Sweet Moment: You ask what “love” means to humans, and he just… freezes. “That’s a loaded question, space princess.”
Dick Grayson x Alien!Reader
• Thinks it’s awesome you’re an alien. “Can you fly? Do you glow in the dark? Can you talk to trees?”
• Teaches you how to dance and says things like, “Just follow my lead — Earth style.”
• You mimic him for fun, but accidentally do a perfect impression of him mid-mission. He loses it.
• Constantly curious about your world. “Do you have art? Do you have pizza? Do you have me there?”
• Sweet Moment: One day, you shape-shift into his form to understand his “human perspective” — and he sees it not as mockery, but trust. “You’re trying to understand me the way I want to understand you.”
Tim Drake x Alien!Reader
• Realized you weren’t human after you accidentally turned invisible in the middle of a stakeout. You just said, “Oops.”
• Becomes obsessed (lovingly) with figuring out how your biology works. He makes you do science with him in the lab like it’s a date.
• You speak a language that sounds like hummingbird static, and he learns to understand the tone shifts.
• Extremely flustered when you tell him humans are “visually inefficient” and that he is “especially pleasing in shape.”
• Sweet Moment: He makes you a communicator that automatically translates your real thoughts into English — because he wants to know the real you, not just the version you think humans want.
Bruce Wayne x Alien!Reader
• 100% stoic mode activated. Doesn’t flinch when you say you’re from another galaxy. Just says, “You bleed green. Got it.”
• Makes you go through twelve training tests before trusting you. You pass them all in minutes.
• You confuse idioms constantly. “Killing two birds with one scone?” He just stares. “Close enough.”
• Deep talks about humanity that end with him awkwardly patting your shoulder. You patted back once and accidentally dislocated his arm.
• Sweet Moment: You save Damian and nearly die doing it. When you wake up, he’s at your side. “I’ve seen a thousand kinds of strength… yours is the rare kind.”
Damian Wayne x Alien!Reader
• At first: ”Tt. Extraterrestrial filth.”
• Then: You stab a guy with your tail to save him — and suddenly you are “adequate.”
• You don’t understand sarcasm. He says something mean and you take it literally. The guilt ruins him for three days.
• You ask him to teach you “Earth courtship.” He writes a 12-page manual and pretends it was Alfred’s idea.
• Sweet Moment: You show him a flower from your home planet that only blooms when someone is truly trusted. You grow one in your palm just for him.

No wisdom, just teeth
Tumblr media
꘎♡━━━━━♡꘎ ꘎♡━━━━━♡꘎
Pairing: og8 X gn reader
Summary: A tooth infection leads to a dentist trip and some chaos.
Genre: 9th member AU
Word Count: 3.6k
A/N: Lab rats, do we like 9th member AUs? I'm testing this out and working on another 9th member AU request. Consider this a brief test run.
_ _ _
The pain radiating throughout your jaw, when your eyes opened to the sound of your alarm clock, blinded you. You gently cupped the side of your aching jaw, moaned in pain, and blindly reached over to quiet your alarm clock.
Three days ago, it was a minor toothache. All the way in the back left corner of your mouth, you assumed it was a pesky wisdom tooth. Why on earth humans grew more teeth as they aged? You didn’t know. All you knew was that it was hell on earth.
The aching gums, the discomfort of chewing, the tiny morsels of growth that left you feeling exhausted and defeated. It became more and more clear why babies cried and gnawed on everything when growing in their own teeth.
You took the proper steps yesterday, when nothing seemed to work. The pain killers didn’t help the pain and neither did the gel you applied to numb the pain. Briefly, you were freed from the ache with the gel, but the pain came back much worse. The next opening for your dentist was next week. You thought you could manage, but clearly your tooth had other ideas.
Out in the kitchen, plastic coffee cups clattered. Chan pressed buttons on the fancy espresso machine and tapped his fingers awaiting a third espresso shot. A triple shot americano wasn’t needed at seven in the morning, but something had to cut through his groggy haze. A cup full of ice sat waiting.
In the distance, Jeongin struggled to open his eyes in the bathroom. His hair stuck out in multiple directions. Their morning routine didn’t change, but he still struggled to pull himself from sleep, too. A sigh escaped his lips, he forced his eyes open, and reached for the hairbrush.
Mid-brush, he paused when he heard you calling for Chan. It wasn’t unusual for the ninth member to want Chan. You found comfort in Chan and often seeked him out for guidance. Being the leader of the group, you often admired him and trusted his advice.
“Chan?” You grumbled again as you patted into the kitchen.
“I’m here, what’s up?” His silhouette appeared around the corner. “Do you want a morning coff- oh?” He frowned. Your eyes were still barely open. An unsteady gait in your walk. With cheeks flushed of color and something obviously wrong, he walked to meet you. “What’s wrong?”
“I think my tooth is infected. I feel like shit and my tooth has been hurting.”
“Uh-oh.”
“What’s going on?” Jeongin appeared with a toothbrush full of toothpaste. “Did you lose something again?”
“Even worse, they might have a tooth infection.”
Jeongin’s face contorted into an instant grimace. “That’s not good.”
“Did you call your dentist?”
“Booked out until next week.”
“Are we sure it’s an infected tooth and not the flu or something?” Jeongin asked.
Chan’s eyes wandered back to you and you shook your head. “I have a pounding headache and was fine last night. My tooth hurts worse and my head feels like it’s on fire. Even just accidentally touching my face hurts my jaw.”
His face quickly mirrored Jeongin’s. “There’s no way you can work like this. Why don’t you settle back into bed and I’ll make some calls? I’ll call my dentist and if I can’t find someone willing to work something out, I’ll call another dentist.”
“I can call people, I just-”
“Your focus right now should be on resting. Take some painkillers, drink some water, and I’ve got this, okay? Let me do this for you. You’re in pain and I don’t want you to stress yourself out more.”
“Thank you.”
“Innie, are you still-”
“Going to the company building? Yeah, unless you want me to stick around here and help you.”
“I’ve got it. Tell the guys that I’ll be there a little later. I’m going to get this worked out first.”
“Aye, aye, captain.” He saluted, patted you on the shoulder, and disappeared back in the bathroom to brush his teeth.
“Try not to worry too much, we’ll figure it out.” Chan flashed you a dimpled reassuring smile, but it didn’t feel very reassuring to your aching jaw.
~ ~ ~
The bright blue eyes of the dentist peeking over your face didn’t make you feel better. After a quick phone call to his dentist, Chan’s dentist agreed to meet you immediately. If a tooth infection created the root of the problem, the infection could turn much more dire than expected.
So you laid with your mouth cranked open. Silver dental tools poked and prodded the back of your mouth. Tender and sore gums bled at the touch. Your nose scrunched from the pain. Tools scraped. The dentist mumbled to the assistant and you hated all of it.
Getting x-rays sucked. Biting down on two pieces of plastic nearly made you vomit in your unwell state. Even the basic exam made tears prick in your eyes. Chan’s dentist was nice. She didn’t mean to make you feel worse, but your feelings were in shambles.
All you could focus on was your aching jaw. Across the pale blue room, Chan’s knee bounced. He could have stayed in the waiting room, but he wanted to be here with you to make sure you were okay. You were grateful, despite the awkwardness, you didn’t want to be alone.
He texted the group chat with frequent updates to keep the rest of the members informed, but all he could really do was wait for the dentist’s diagnosis. Nervous for you, his knee never stopped bouncing. He winced at every sound of a tool clanging against your teeth, he knew how it felt from his own time in the dental chair for cleanings.
After a few more moments, the dentist pulled back. She pulled down her blue surgical mask and sighed. “I have good news and I have bad news. The bad news, it’s an infected wisdom tooth. The good news? It can be fixed with extraction and some antibiotics to make sure the infection is cleared up.”
Chan’s head perked up at the sound of her voice. He clicked off his phone and looked at you. Your eyes were focused on the ceiling, only half-paying attention. When he called your name, you glanced over.
“Did you hear that?”
“Please take it out before it kills me.”
Unable to hide her amusement, the dentist chuckled softly. “It won’t be a problem.” Her eyes went back to Chan. “It might take a while and since it’s a wisdom tooth, you’ll probably be better to wait in our waiting room.”
“If I give you my number, can you call me when they’re finished?” He glanced at the dentist and she nodded. He stood up and approached you. “I don’t want to leave you, but the guys are having some issues at the recording booth.”
“Go ahead and help them. I’ll be here when they finish and after they call. If we’re lucky, I’ll be in a lot less pain.”
He chuckled, grabbed your hand, and gently squeezed it. “Behave for the dentist, will you?”
“As long as she frees me of that stupid tooth, we’ll get along just fine.”
~ ~ ~
The lights blinded you. The world blurred and you groaned loudly. Your head jerked back in the wheelchair you were sitting in. People around you turned into silhouettes rather than individuals with clarified features.
“Hey, easy there, tiger.” A hand gently patted the top of your head. Minho’s voice reassured you, but you couldn’t see him. “Keep your hands and feet inside the ride at all times or the pig-bunny will gnaw them off.”
“Hey!” Changbin cried out, clearly offended. “That’s not true! I wouldn’t gnaw off your arms.”
“Guys, stop it. They just came around from having all four wisdom teeth plucked out. They’re probably confused and disoriented, you’ll scare them.”
Felix’s freckled face appeared right in front of yours. “Hi, there!” He grinned and reached out to lightly poke the tip of your nose. “Can you hear me? Are you okay?”
All you could muster was another groan. Your cheeks felt like they were bursting at the seams. Packed with bloody gauze, you were a numbed zombie. Your entire body felt off. More than anything, you were confused about the ongoing scenario around you.
Back in the lobby of the dental office, Chan talked to the dentist and receptionist with slight worry. He didn’t realize after he left, you agreed with the dentist to have all four wisdom teeth pulled, rather than the single infected tooth. It’d save you a second procedure, but the recovery would last a lot longer.
He flipped through the papers in his hands, trying to understand everything the dentist reminded him. Beside him, Jeongin glanced back outside to you. As both your roommates, they’d get the task of managing the majority of your recovery process. Neither was looking forward to it, nor were they looking forward to informing your manager that you’d have to sit out of the usual schedule for a while.
Han popped out of an open car door when Minho rolled up with your anesthetic-laced body. Upon seeing the roundness of your cheeks, he burst into a fit of giggles. “Hey! You look just like me! You’ve got my cheeks!”
Your head slightly shook, which caused him to laugh. He climbed out of the car. Hyunjin glanced up from the driver’s side and looked behind his seat. Bloody gauze could be seen in your slightly opened mouth. His eyes narrowed. “Ew.”
“Ew?” You mumbled.
“That’s what I said. Ew.”
Your bottom lip trembled and Felix’s face fell. “No, no, no. Sweetheart, don’t cry, he’s just teasing you. He doesn’t think that you’re ew, he’s talking about the bloody gauze in your mouth. He’s just being silly.”
“He’s ‘urting my ‘eelings!”
“Well, you look ugly and swollen, so…” Seungmin shrugged and took a sip of his smoothie. Before the guys left the company building to pick you up, they stopped to get drinks.
Changbin spun around, trying not to laugh. Felix swatted his shoulder. Han forced himself to bite his lip. Behind you, Minho couldn’t stop the grin from appearing.
By the time Chan and Jeongin came out of the building, a steady stream of tears slipped down your cheeks. The guys tried hard to comfort you, but you weren’t having any of it. Too strung out on the remnants of being under anesthesia, you didn’t realize Seungmin’s words held no truth.
“What’s going on? Why are they crying?”
“Because Seungmin was a dickhead,” Minho pointed out.
“Yeah, he called them ugly and swollen.”
Jeongin’s hand patted your leg reassuringly. “I’m sure he didn’t mean it. Seungmin’s face looks ugly and swollen all the time.”
“It does not!” His instant objection brought a pause to your tears.
Minho realized it instantly and grinned. “Hey, they stopped crying! Keep going! Seungmin is ugly and untalented!”
“Seungmin smells like beef,” Han continued. A look of Seungmin’s genuine concern shot his way. Han ignored it and went on. “Seungminnie is bad at most video games.”
“‘Outh ‘urts.”
“What are they saying?” Changbin asked.
“Their mouth hurts. I know it hurts, but we’re going to get you home and feel better. When you feel much better, I’ll make you an entire batch of brownies, okay?”
You wiped away your tears instantly. “Tanks.”
“You’re welcome.”
After deciding who was sitting where, a few of the guys sat with you. Others followed Jeongin into his car, so they could be taken home. Hyunjin drove, Chan sat in the passenger’s seat, Minho, and Felix sat on either side of you.
You stayed quiet and let your eyes shut. For the first few minutes, all was fine, until it wasn’t. For whatever reason, you jerked straight upright with wide eyes. Both Felix and Minho glanced over concerned.
“I’m being kitnapped!”
“Huh?”
Your hand went towards your seatbelt. Minho quickly grabbed your hand, trying to prevent you from getting loose. “Woah, there. You can’t unbuckle when the car is moving.”
“Channie!” You cried out loudly.
Chan flipped his sun visor down and glanced at you. “What’s wrong? What is it?”
“He’s kitnapping me!”
“Who is?”
Your arm flung toward Hyunjin. Hyunjin glanced in the rearview mirror and rolled his eyes. “If I was kidnapping you, you’d probably have a bag over your head. Why would I kidnap you and put you beside Felix? Being kidnapped with Felix probably wouldn’t even feel like being kidnapped.”
“Don’t worry, mate. When ‘re outta this, I’m gonna make yer brohwnies.” Hyunjin uttered in a dramatic Australian accent.
“I do NAUGHT sound like that!”
“You just did.”
Felix huffed and tucked his hand around yours. “You’re not being kidnapped. We’re taking you back home, so you can get some rest. You’re safe with us.”
“Channie!” You uttered again.
“Hyunjin, can you stop the car, so I can change spots with Minho?”
“Oh, yeah! Lemme up there, so I can air fry the ferret and stretch my legs.”
“CHANNIE!”
“Minho, you’re making them upset. It’s okay, I’m coming back there, don’t worry. Felix isn’t going to let Minho air fry anyone, okay?”
Hyunjin slowly brought the car to a stop on the side of the road. He turned on his hazard lights, allowing Minho and Chan to swap spots. The moment Chan slipped beside you, you grabbed his hand and refused to let go. Your forehead rested upon his shoulder. The numbness and confusion you felt melted together. Your eyes drooped and you let yourself drift to sleep.
~ ~ ~
In Chan and Jeongin’s dorm, Jeongin already arrived back home with Changbin, Seungmin, and Han. Chan told Jeongin to make sure they had a proper spot for you on the couch and he didn’t know exactly what that meant, so he tried his best.
After dumping multiple of your blankets and pillows on the couch, he stood back and scratched the back of his neck. “How on earth do you make a cozy spot for someone on the couch? It’s the couch, it’s not meant to sleep on after such an intense procedure.”
“Oh, this one is.” Han grabbed one of the blankets and wrapped it around his shoulders. “This leather couch is so sleek and nice. I can’t believe I’m saying it, but you both have good taste. This couch is my favorite piece of furniture.”
“I don’t think they’re going to be real happy knowing you’re stealing their blanket,” Seungmin commented.
“And I don’t think they’ll be happy seeing your swollen and ugly face,” Changbin shot out in Han’s defense.
“You wanna go, pig-bunny?”
“Yeah, come here!” Changbin shot forward and grabbed Seungmin’s throat.
A grin instantly filled Seungmin’s face. “I didn’t know you were into being an alpha man.”
“Yah, no! Ew! Stop!” Changbin pulled away and shook his hand. “No more alpha and omega stuff. I don’t wanna hear about it, you pervert.”
“You grew oddly offended about that.”
“Shut up!”
“Shh! They’re back, I can see them coming to the door through the window.” Han shoved himself to his feet, shedding your blanket, and letting it lay on the couch.
Jeongin hurried to the door and pulled it open. In Chan’s arms, your sleeping body lay bridal style. He carried you inside with ease. “Did you get the couch ready?”
“I mean, I didn’t know exactly what you wanted, but their stuff is there.”
“Good enough.”
The rest of the guys followed behind Chan. He gently placed you on the couch against your pillow, making sure you weren’t lying on either side of your jaw. He quickly grabbed blankets to cover you up and let out a sigh of relief. “That takes care of that for now.”
Out in the kitchen, Minho flicked through the stack of paperwork from the dental office. “This looks like a huge headache, thank god I’m not playing a part in this.”
Felix appeared over his shoulder and frowned. “Oh, poor thing. This is certainly going to be a long recovery period. They’ll probably be pretty upset when they wake up.”
“And in pain. Does anyone want to come with me to go pick up their antibiotics from the pharmacy?” Jeongin pulled out his car keys.
“Please get me the hell out of here,” Seungmin walked towards him instantly.
“I guess I’ll go.”
“Yeah, same.”
Changbin and Han followed him, but it was Han that spoke up first. “Do you think we should stop at the store and grab some soft snacks, so they have something to eat and drink when they wake up?”
“That’s a good idea.”
The guys all conversed and slipped out the door, leaving only a handful behind. Hyunjin observed your peaceful demeanor and sighed. “I think this is the first time they haven’t been stressed in a while.”
“Anesthesia is just a brief coma,” Felix mumbled beneath his breath.
Chan came out to look through the papers that were in Minho’s hand. Despite Minho’s previous words, he didn’t mean them. Of course, he’d help with your recovery, he always would.
~ ~ ~
You woke up to the sound of quiet whispers full of affection.
“They look so cute when they’re relaxed and asleep like this.”
“I can’t wait until they wake up, I miss them.”
“I like them when they’re dead to the world. I haven’t heard this kind of silence in so long.”
“Kim Seungmin, you fucking jackass.”
“Bite me.”
“I might.”
When your eyes opened, you made out the faint illumination of Chan’s yellowed face. The way the lamp positioned, it cast an unnatural tint to his face. He stepped away and walked closer to you. “Hey there, are you awake?”
You tried to speak, but the gauze stopped your words from coming out clearly. Your eyes widened and Chan stepped forward. “Whoops, I forgot about that. Hold on, stay still, and let me take this out for you.”
He leaned forward and peeled away the gauze. When he did, you blinked rapidly, trying to wake up. To your surprise, all the guys were scattered throughout the dorm’s living room.
“You made it through your wisdom teeth extraction.”
“You’re a total baby when you’re high on anesthesia and you can’t take a joke.”
“Seungmin made you cry.”
You tried to speak, but your voice felt hoarse. Jeongin quickly stood up to retrieve a water bottle for you when your words came out cracked. When he came back, he jerked it open, and handed it to you. After a few sips of refreshing cold water, you thanked him.
“Honestly, I’m really disappointed you didn’t give us more to work with. I was expecting you to turn into a total brat, but you didn’t. You thought I was kidnapping you and cried at Seungmin’s insult, but that was about it.”
You glanced up at Hyunjin with furrowed eyebrows. He sighed and crossed his arms over his chest. “You don’t remember?”
“No. I don’t remember a lot of it. I thought they were taking out one tooth.”
“Yeah, I think you were half unconscious when you agreed to take out all four.”
“But I don’t think it’s a bad thing,” Felix chimed in. “Now you never have to do that again and that’s pretty cool. Unlike the rest of us…” He frowned thinking about it.
“Oh, hell no!” Jeongin’s head shook. “They’re not putting dental tools in my mouth.”
“Yeah, I agree. I’ll continue my regular appointments to keep my mouth cleaned. I’ll be flossing and brushing like usual,” Minho added. “Preventive measures help with tooth infections and cavities.”
“Thank you, doctor obvious.”
“Are you sure you’re feeling okay?” Chan questioned with concern.
“My mouth feels so swollen and I’m tired.”
“No pain?”
“Not really, I just feel groggy.”
“I think this has been the best possible outcome for you.”
“Wrong. I wanted to see you beat up Changbin,” Seungmin pouted.
“And I wanted to see them put their foot up your ass, so I guess we’re all disappointed,” Changbin glared.
The sound of your stomach made everyone pause. Your cheeks flushed red and you grabbed your stomach. “Sorry, I guess I’m hungry. I haven’t had food all day.”
“Oh!” Felix popped up. “You can pick something off the list of foods that the dentist recommended.”
“Nothing hard, crunchy, or sticky,” Han clarified.
“I know it’s not exactly healthy, but a milkshake sounds nice.”
“You’re not allowed to use a straw, but if you want a milkshake, it can be arranged,” Chan leaned over and patted your head. “What kind?”
“Can we all have milkshakes for dinner? A big giant chocolate milkshake would hit the spot. Topped with a lot of whipped cream and chocolate syrup and-”
Jeongin cut off Han’s rambling. “Usually, I’d judge you for that, but that sounds so good.”
“Sounds pretty official to me.”
“Come on, Innie.” Changbin stood up and grabbed Jeongin’s arm. “The rest of you can text the group chat with what kind of milkshakes you want. We’re going to go find our sugar rush.”
Chan sighed and leaned back against the couch. “I can’t believe I’m a full grown man and agreeing to get dessert to replace a balanced dinner.”
“Live a little, you ancient, old fuck.”
“Seungmin is right!”
“Felix, you’re not supposed to agree with him.”
“Well, he’s acting like he has a stick up his ass.”
“I am not! I just think that having a milkshake is ironic since our member just got out their-”
“Hey, what’s the best time to go to the dentist?” Han beamed.
“Han fucking Jisung, if you say tooth-hurty-”
“Tooth-hurty!”
“Come here,” Minho stood up with a fist. “I’ll show you a tooth-hurty.”
“AH!” He rushed to the opposite side of the couch.
You sucked in a deep breath and sighed. You might have survived getting your wisdom teeth removed, but now you were tasked with surviving your recovery period with the members of your group; quite a difficult feat when you live with a group of wild animals.

The distant sounds of your loud chuckles distracted Reed Richards, who had been focused on erasing his chalkboard. He cleaned his hands and peeked his head through the door of his lab.
There you were, pouring yourself some dark coffee as some engineers in space suits talked to you. Reed noticed how all of them were literally competing to make you laugh and so far, all had been winning.
You got the job of being Reed’s intern two months ago. Despite his insistence on not needing an intern, his boss said it was necessary since he was so busy. Your credentials included a degree in law, medical physics, and pr skills, making you a perfect candidate.
Reed rolled his eyes at the sight of some youngsters flirting with you.
“Need you here, y/n,” he said, killing the fun.
You turned to nod at him and after saying some quick goodbyes, you were back inside his lab, handing him a coffee.
“Thanks”
“You’re welcome, Reed”
You returned to your desk to continue typing on a red typewriter.
Everyone was embellished by you and your kindness. Reed had to warn his brother-in-law, Johnny, to leave you alone because he started to show interest in you.
“Any plans for the weekend?” Reed asked.
“Hmm, not really. I think I’ll rot in bed and order Chinese takeout” you answered shrugging without stopping your typing.
Reed smiled with sympathy, so he dropped the pencil in his hand and patted your shoulder.
“Come and have dinner with me and my family,” he said, making you turn in shock.
“What? No- no, I could not…”
“Yes, you can. My family likes you” he insisted. “Plus, you know our secret”
They hadn’t broken the news of their abilities to anyone besides you, who accidentally discovered their secret while testing Reed’s experiments. They were the famous Fantastic Four and slowly, people were starting to identify them.
“Please, you’re too good for me. You have done a wonderful job” You nearly blushed at his praising words. “The least I can do is invite you to dinner again”
You sigh, finally stopping the typing. You knew their family, mostly Ben and Johnny. Reed’s wife and you hadn’t interacted much and you secretly felt like she didn’t like you whenever you visited their home.
“Okay, fine”
Once again, Reed was hearing you chuckling. This time, it was you making Johnny and Ben laugh in the kitchen. Johnny was pouring you wine and Ben asked if you wanted to smoke in the outside patio.
Even Herbie was there by your side making additional comments in the conversation.
“Now Herbie is her friend?” Sue appeared beside Reed, crossing her arms and looking somewhat displeased.
“She has come a handful of times, of course, Herbie recognizes her” he answered, looking away from you to set his eyes on his wife.
“Now, honey. Why you don’t like y/n?” The question caught her off guard. “Don’t pretend to be surprised”
“She calls me Susan,” she said, making Reed laugh. “Everyone calls me Sue. I don’t like being called Susan…”
“She is respectful”
“Oh, so you’re no longer Mr. Richards for her?” Reed rolled his eyes and kissed her cheek.
“She’s my intern. We are together practically all day long”
“I promise you, y/n is good” Sue was not convinced but ended up nodding, following his husband to the kitchen to have dinner with you and the others.
It was late. The lab was the only place with people inside. Only you and Reed.
“It’s just that- I feel like we’re missing something” Reed took off his red tie. He looked disheveled, making you drool over him inevitably.
Soon you placed aside the thoughts and went to see the big formula Reed was building in the chalkboard.
“Maybe… a device that can amplify psionic energy could do” you commented with tons of shyness in your voice, almost fearing that Reed would shoo you away for being nosy. “I was a technician as well, I could help-
But instead, he smirked at you.
“Darling, you’re a genius” Your heart started beating and he was at the verge of kissing your cheeks but moved away.
And you noticed it. But pretended not to.
Either way, he looked tired, even stressed out.
“Go home, Reed” he sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Have dinner with your family, kiss your wife, and rest well, please”
He looks at you with awe, thinking you are the most adorable human he’d ever met.
Your kindness was unmatched and your sweet smile was always enough to make him feel less stressed.
“I promise I won’t touch your ongoing formula” Reed only chuckles.
“Alright, I’ll go home” You hand him his blazer and briefcase. “But don’t stay too late, sweetheart. You also have to rest”
“Promise to leave by 9:00pm” he nods, taking you by surprise with a gentle and friendly hug.
You melt into his touch, wishing to stay in his arms longer. But you don’t, you’re too decent for that.
So you just let him go.
But you had already planted a seed. Reed questioned for the first time if he felt more than friendly feelings for you. It was your kindness and sweetness what unconsciously had lured him.
Your heels are the loudest sound in the hallway. Reed’s boss had just approved his experiment to be tested. He literally grabbed your hand and dragged you outside the office to run back to his lab to set to work on the machine he had built.
You had to hold your cotton dress to prevent showing off your underwear by the way you were almost running along Reed.
“I can’t believe it’s going to work,” he said with excitement, pushing the button of the elevator more than needed.
“It was just about time” you replied with the same excitement.
The doors of the elevator opened and both of you quickly entered, soon feeling it in movement.
“And I completed it thanks you” You roll your eyes at his words.
“Stop it, I’m just your intern, Reed” he knew it too well, you weren’t trying him to validate you, it was pure honesty.
“I don’t think you’re just a simple intern”
“No?” Genuinely, you wondered what Reed thought about you.
“You’re more than an intern, y/n,” he said, eyes locked with yours.
Suddenly, you had him so close to you. Even when the elevator felt like an ocean, you two seemed to be squeezed together.
“Still, you are bigger than I am” he grew a cheeky smirk.
“How so?”
“You are the hero of the city. If not… the whole world”
“Oh, really?” You nodded at him. And both of you couldn’t take your eyes off of each other. The tension seemed to be big enough to make you gulp.
And then, the elevator abruptly stopped.
You nearly tripped, but there it was Reed to hold by your hips.
“What was that?” You asked with worry.
“I think the elevator just broke?”
Your eyes snapped open.
“What? No way” You moved around to see if the buttons worked but nothing worked.
“I guess we’re stuck here until someone comes from us” you huffed in disbelief.
“Reed, aren’t you like the most intelligent human being?” He cackled.
“I’m afraid I would be telling my secret to everyone if I fixed this elevator,” he said pointing at the surroundings.
“I can’t believe you,” you said joining his laughs.
It was then that you noticed his hands returned to your hips. Your looked away from him, focusing in the buttons of the elevator.
His raspy beard brushed your exposed neck, making you gasp in shock.
Sweet little innocent you, Reed thought.
“This is wrong, Reed,” you said, avoiding his eyes.
“Tell me you don’t feel the same…” he whispered in your neck.
“I do. But I don’t want to hurt you, nor your family” and there it was, the soft of him. Your kindness, mindfulness, and empathy were what made him fall harder for you.
“Just this once…” he begged, making you unable to move away.
His hot breath and hands brushing your waist were making you all shy, but secretly eager.
“Just this once,” you said before standing on your tiptoes and colliding with his lips at the same time he had to lean over.
The highly anticipated kiss had melted the tension, only to make lust grow.
“Reed…” you half moaned when his crotch brushed your growing wet underwear.
“Nobody will know what happened here” he promised.
Something inside of you shifted. You took off your long coat and threw it onto the floor of the elevator. Reed watched with fascination as you decided to lay on top of the coat, opening your legs, your dress hunching over your ribs, and showing him your white lace underwear with an evident wet spot near the center.
“You’re killing me, sweetheart” he kneeled and it was over for everyone.
He had just given in.
“You’re so lucky I’m sapiosexual” That comment only made him harder in his dress pants, he moved aside your lacy underwear and rubbed his fingers in your wet lips. Already thinking of some stretchy skills to make you scream his name.
The lights of the living room were still on when Reed entered the penthouse. There was Sue seated near the giant glass window, looking at the city.
“Why are you so late?” She questioned.
Reed removed his blazer and hung it nearby.
“I almost finished the latest part of the new spaceship”
Lies. He had been in your house for the last five hours. In the Spanish villa style of your house. With your great food and classy furniture. Laying in your fine sheets as your gracious figure bounced on top of him.
“Is it going to be like this from now on?” Sue asked with tiredness.
Her barely visible bump was visible under her nightgown.
“No, sweetheart. I’m just busy…”
“You missed the baby’s heartbeats today” he was guilty.
Reed had always considered himself a good man. But since that day at the elevator with you, everything changed.
“I’m sorry, honey” he truly was.
That night, he held Sue tightly as they slept, but the last thing he saw before succumbing to unconsciousness was you.
That same night, he woke up after midnight. Sue was soundly sleeping. Everything was quiet, but something was telling Reed that not everything was as calm as it seemed. He carefully got up and debated whether to put on a robe but desisted when a thump caught his attention. He ran out of the room, assuring Sue was protected by Herbie.
Sounded like someone was looking for something in the lab of his house. Where his most important data was stored.
Reed grew worried because the home had always been safe. Who could have intruded without warning him?
He carefully opened the door and spotted his lamp was on.
Hunched, looking over many of his reports and data, there was a shining figure.
It was a woman, similar to the silver surfer that attacked some weeks ago. But this woman seemed to shine all over like a diamond, looking like she was naked. It would have been a beautiful sight if it wasn’t because she was stealing the drafts of his latest experiment to travel between dimensions.
The woman turned, showing her features looked blurry because of the diamond-like appearance. But she resulted oddly familiar to Reed.
The mysterious woman moved away and when she tried to run away, Reed used the elongating stretch of his extremities to capture the woman. But she was also flexible, she dodged his touch by making a perfect arch and flipping over his arms to sneak away.
Reed turned, running after the intruder.
It was near the entrance where he twirled his arm around the cold and sharp calf of the woman, making her trip.
He applied some pressure around the neck of the woman with his free arm until his hand was grasping her chin, dragging her closer to him.
“Who are you and what are you doing in my home?” He asked, trying to intimidate the intruder.
All he got was silence.
“SPEAK!” He yelled, putting more pressure on the neck.
The figure started to gasp for air. Reed fixated his eyes on the woman and noticed a familiar shine, connected to some warm lips he knew so well.
When he noticed he was choking the woman, the diamond form cracked a little and the woman changed, looking like a normal human made of flesh and blood.
And revealing it was you.
As you squirmed away from him, Reed plucked one of your hairs. You send him flying away, making Reed go beyond shocked. You eyed him with a fair distance between the two of you. Your out-of-breath shape made Reed look at your white attire, completely tight and only your your shoulders and neck.
“Why?” Was all he could ask. But you didn’t reply, you only kept eying him with ease.
He blinked once and you were gone, showing him your telepathic and astral projection abilities.
When he ran back to his office, his most important data was gone.
“Fuck!” He yelled.
“Reed?” Sue called him, standing at the door and looking at the mess. “What happened?”
Reed sighed, looking at your hair in his hand.
Reed Richard’s never thought he would be fighting punch-to-punch with you. His dear intern who had lured him to sin. Only to betray him. And he didn’t know why. Only two days later after the big revelation, chaos erupted in the city, led by the silver surfer and you. Reed had been analyzing your DNA to see if it matched with someone else to determine your abilities.
And the results gave a match of Emma Frost with you. Which was even more strange.
Usually, Emma Frost was a mutant from futuristic Earth, always teaming up with the X-Men or Avengers. Emma Frost variants were usually older, in their early thirties, with dyed blonde hair after acquiring their mutant powers. Who were you actually?
Reed didn’t want to fight you. He couldn’t when he was already loving you.
Even if he was guilty of cheating, of letting you go too far. He loved you.
You had your revenge by choking him as well. Finally having him where you had been wanting to have him for so long. Your human form transforms into a diamond, making him unable to look at the face he fell in love with. Only facing a villain, who seemed heartless and didn’t mind causing havoc.
“Why are you doing this?” He asked, gasping for air.
Your piercing eyes showed no mercy as you continued to choke him.
“Spite, jealousy, resentment. Call it what you want…” you said with venom in your voice. “I think it’s actually divine punishment”
“What did I do to you?” Reed barely said, holding onto your wrist, unable to stop you from choking him.
Your diamond form made you cold, ruthless, and bitter. Reed couldn’t comprehend what was happening.
The human torch appeared, trying to burn you, but it didn’t do anything. Your free hand created a protective shield and after the flames disappeared, you started inducing Johnny into some painful telepathic attack, sending him flying away.
You let Reed free, making him fall into a fetal position, gasping.
He watches you kneel beside him, your cold shiny hand touches his temple and a horrid pain started to creep all over his head.
“STOP!” He yelled in pain, but you didn’t.
“You’re disappointing me, Mr. Fantastic,” you said with feigned sadness. “I’m afraid this won't stop. It’s time to remember…”
A big chunk of flashbacks assaulted him all at the same time. He had to hold his head, feeling dizzy and nauseous before the images started to appear.
Ben, Johnny, Sue and him fighting. And then, there you were, wearing a blue suit like them. You had blonde hair, more yellowish compared to Sue.
It was one of their first fights. But why were you there, he remembered that… but you weren’t there at all.
Through the fire of the city, Reed spotted Sue in trouble and ran after her. A big pile of cement was going to fall all over her.
He was in a panic, running as fast as he could. Nearly jumping to cover her, all he heard was a disturbing crack.
When he opened his eyes, he saw you, in that odd diamond form… shattering into millions of pieces.
You had saved them.
Sue screamed in horror and the flashback dissolved, emerging into a new one.
Reed heard the chaos of the present, but the migraine and nausea were still present, and before he could compose himself, he returned to remember.
He was in his lab, trying to glue back each piece of diamond that was once you. Sue entered to check on him, left a cup of tea nearby, kissed his cheek, and left again.
He was stressed, trying to bring you back to life. Reed Richards had never encountered a more difficult situation to work on.
But he finally made it. You were back.
With your natural hair and eye color back, reveal them to Reed for the first time.
You seated yourself on the stretcher you had been resting on and looked around, confused.
“What happened?” you asked, returning to your human form. Reed looked in shock and hurried to hug you. “Reed, honey… What happened?”
He was sobbing.
“I’m so sorry…” he nearly whispered.
Your hands started moving to caress his head in your lap. You brushed his hair, noticing more grey lines decorating it. He was your boyfriend. Your beloved partner since you were in college. What had changed? You didn’t know.
Until you spotted a picture frame on his desk.
He married Sue Storm. And you started to understand.
“For how long I was gone?”
“Some years?…”
So you screamed at him. Mourning that he couldn’t wait for you. That he grew older and you remained young, that he moved on and couldn’t wait for you.
“I despise you so much” and you said it with so much honesty, that it broke Reed.
“I love you,” he said, but you didn’t believe him.
“You can’t love two women” you spit out with coldness.
He tried to reach you, but you stopped him.
“So long, my dear” That was the last thing you said before removing yourself from his memories.
Nobody in the whole world would remember you.
Reed gasped for air, sensing that the flashbacks were over.
He then looked up at the sky, watching the woman in a white cap fighting with his wife.
You had been part of the family, risking your life for them. And somehow, you felt like they had betrayed you. In a sense, they actually had…
Mainly Reed, who was the love of your life.
Despite all the hate in your heart, you had removed yourself from their lives. To let Reed be happy, even when he hadn’t waited for you.
And everything clicked. The memories were erased, the gained trust, the seducing, the betrayal, and the stealing of his latest plans. You were one of Doom’s heralds. You had always been a danger. A veiled hazard for him and his family. Looked like he had just gained a new enemy. Whom he had been closely interacting with.

Personal Bodyguard
pairing: tony stark x male reader tags: you can't tell me Tony isn't bi or at least experimented in his youth, you become his personal bodyguard after the cave fiasco and iron man revelation, enemies-to-friends-to lovers, Tony really needs a hug, reader is set to become his friend (and more), military background
You’re used to working in tense environments. The military taught you that complacency is death and that vigilance is survival. You’ve seen your fair share of conflict, learned to read people and situations at a glance. That’s probably why Pepper Potts sought you out after Tony Stark’s dramatic return from Afghanistan. She looked you up and down with calculating eyes, recognized a bit of herself in your “don’t mess with me” attitude, and decided on the spot—you were the best candidate to protect Tony Stark from himself, and from the new, dangerous world he was plunging into.
Tony’s penthouse overlooks the Malibu coastline, the sun reflecting off the ocean waves and onto polished floors. There he stands—fresh from the workshop, grease on his tank top and that lopsided grin that only half-masks the shadows under his eyes. He spots you, sizes you up, and crosses his arms. “Pep, this is the solution you found?” Tony gestures at you dismissively. “A glorified babysitter?”
Pepper forces a polite smile. “A bodyguard, Tony.” You don’t rise to his bait. The best reaction here is none at all—just a stony expression. Let him get it out of his system. He cocks an eyebrow at your silence, clearly expecting some snark in return.
“Fine,” he says, turning on his heel. “Follow me. Or don’t. Whatever." Pepper shakes her head apologetically as she goes to leave. Before she goes, she places a hand on your shoulder, giving you an unspoken good luck. You already know you’ll need it.
Tony tries his best to make your life difficult. He’ll disappear from his home at odd hours, use his snark to try and aggravate you, or do something reckless like attempt a suit flight test above the Malibu cliffs. However, you're never that far behind and your patience is endless. One night, he’s just touched down too hard in the Mark II, crashing through his garage and damaging several of his expensive cars. You rush in, weapon at the ready, scanning for threats.
“Relax,” Tony says, struggling to peel off the broken armor. “It’s just me doing some, uh, routine test improvements.” You exhale slowly, then calmly dismantle your sidearm. No threats—except the one Tony poses to himself.
“You know,” you say eventually, picking up a piece of the shattered gauntlet, “if you keep messing around with these half-finished upgrades, eventually I won’t just be your bodyguard. I’ll be the one scraping you off the ground.”
Tony stares at you, momentarily struck by the genuine concern in your voice, before clearing his throat. “Point taken,” he mutters, but for the first time, he seems less antagonistic—and almost thankful.
The slow thaw between you and Tony continues. He starts sharing details of the Iron Man suit, half to show off and half because he’s realized you’re more at ease when you know everything that’s going on. You learn that behind the smug exterior, Tony is propelled by guilt, determination, and a heart that aches to do genuine good. And for your part, despite your initial refusal to get personally involved, you find yourself caring about him—protecting him matters, but so does understanding him.
Late nights often find the two of you in the workshop. Tony’s hyper-focused on some new repulser tech while you stand guard, occasionally offering your own insight to whatever he was working on. You’d never guess Tony would be the type to listen, but he does, especially when your suggestions keep him from blowing up half the lab. He’ll acknowledge your tips with a half-smile, or a nod that says more than words.
Pepper noticed the shift. She’d smile at you in passing, relief evident in her eyes. She once patted your shoulder and said, “You’re good for him. He trusts you, and that’s not something I say lightly.” Rhodey, Tony’s closest friend, warmed up to you fast. He appreciated having another military mind around. When Tony got lost in his own arrogance, Rhodey and you would share an exasperated look.
Then everything changes again when Tony becomes an Avenger. Suddenly, it’s not just small-scale threats or paparazzi you have to worry about—it’s cosmic forces, alien invasions, global catastrophes. You do your best to keep Tony safe in these new, unpredictable situations, but it’s a challenge.
The Avengers team is a powder keg of personalities. Steve Rogers, Captain America himself, openly clashes with Tony over leadership and moral ideals. You see how the tension weighs on Tony; he deflects with sarcasm, but you’ve come to know the signs of when he’s hurting.
One night at the tower, you’re standing off to the side while Tony and Steve butt heads—again. "Take away the armor," Steve says, voice steely, "and what are you?" The words hang in the air. Tony’s jaw tightens, and you can practically see his heart sink. It’s a cheap shot. And it’s wrong. You step forward before Tony can snap back with a trademark insult. There’s a calm coolness in your voice, the kind that hushes even the Captain.
“Tony Stark is the mind that built that suit,” you say evenly. “He’s the one who sees solutions where everyone else sees dead ends. If you take away the armor, you’ve still got the man who pulled himself out of a cave and saved his own life with scrap metal—because that’s who he is. He’s more than the suit, Rogers, and you know it.”
Steve meets your gaze and steps forward, but you aren’t intimidated. There were lines you simply wouldn’t let him cross, not tonight, not after he delivered that cheap shot at Tony without even knowing him. You can see Tony stiffen beside you, as if ready to jump in—or bolt. But you’re not about to let Steve’s words cut him down.
“Think very carefully about what you say next, Rogers,” you warn, voice low and steady. “Because none of you would be here—Avengers, Stark Tower, anything—if it weren’t for this man. Armor or no armor.”
For a split second, you can feel everyone’s eyes on you. Clint shifts uneasily near the back, Natasha straightens from her casual lean against the wall, and even Bruce lifts his head from the tablet he’s been absorbed in. Steve’s jaw tightens; he clearly didn’t expect you to stand your ground so bluntly—and you don’t care. Your top priority is Tony’s well-being, not theirs. With nothing more to say, you turn on your heel and head for the workshop.
By the time you reach the corridor leading to Tony’s private workspace, the echo of your own footsteps has become a steady, reassuring beat. Only then do you register the soft tread following behind you. He’s close—but conspicuously silent, which is out of character for a man who thrives on quips and banter.
“Sir, you have arrived at the workshop,” Jarvis’s polite voice chimes overhead, and the door slides open with a hiss.
You step inside and finally turn around. Tony lingers just past the threshold, his eyes lowered. His silence seems almost heavy, like he’s struggling to find the right words. “I never asked you to defend me,” he murmurs. “But you…you did. Why?” The workshop’s lights glow softly, illuminating half-built armor pieces and scattered blueprints. You let the sound of humming machinery fill the short gap before you speak.
“Because you needed someone to,” you say simply, though your voice carries an undercurrent of heat—residual frustration from your confrontation with Steve. “And because I wanted to.”
Tony’s gaze flickers upward—he looks uncertain, almost disarmed. “I can handle myself,” he says, though he doesn’t quite meet your eyes. It’s a weak protest, more habit than conviction.
You exhale, crossing your arms. “I know you can. Doesn’t mean you have to face it alone. Especially when the hits are coming from the people supposed to have your back.”
“You caught me off guard,” he admits, voice low, “standing up for me like that. Especially in front of the team.”
You stand your ground, letting the seriousness of the moment settle in. “You act like I never stand up for you.”
A wry huff of laughter escapes him. “Not the same way. Usually, you’re telling me not to blow up half my lab or reminding me to eat something other than coffee. This time you had my back when it counted.”
“Isn’t that why I’m here?” you ask, tilting your head. “I’m your bodyguard, Mr. Stark. That means I protect you—against outside threats and inside threats too. Even if that threat’s a super soldier with a knack for colorful speeches.”
“So that’s it?” he asks, a thin note of vulnerability in his tone. “You did it because it’s your job?” You take in his tense posture—shoulders rigid, hand flexing at his side. Tony’s never been good at showing his more vulnerable edges. Carefully, you move closer, letting your voice soften.
“Let’s get one thing straight. Defending you isn’t just me ‘clocking in.’ I do it because I care. Because I know you’re more than just the suit, no matter what Steve says.” Tony looks up at you in surprise, but you're not done yet. "If this was just part of my job, I wouldn't be spending all my free time down here with you. I would've jumped at the chance to quit when you offered it on a silver platter."
Tony cracks a half-smile, remembering when he outright tried to bribe you to quit, and you surprisingly rejected his offer. The money could've set you for life, supported you and a family if you so desired, but you simply shook your head and informed him about a meeting he had in the morning.
Tony moves closer, so close you can count the faint freckles along his cheekbones. “I hated the idea of having a bodyguard,” Tony admits, voice low. “But I’ve come to realize how much I needed you.” Your heart stutters, unsure of how to respond. Tony swallows thickly, looking uncharacteristically unsure. There’s no witty remark, no deflecting sarcasm. It’s just him, raw and honest, baring feelings you never thought he’d share.
“You’ve become one of the closest people in my life,” he continues. “I trust you in ways I don’t trust anyone else. Hell, Pepper might be the only other person who gets me anywhere close to this.” He hesitates, eyes flicking to your lips before returning to your gaze. “And…I’ve been trying to figure out how to say I might—well—I feel something for you.”
Your stomach flips, warmth blooming in your chest. There’s something surreal about this: Tony Stark, the man who refused to even acknowledge your presence at first, now openly admitting he cares—that he wants something more than just having you as security detail.
A ghost of a smile curves your lips. “I might feel something for you, too.” Tony’s grin is immediate—relief and mischief dancing in his eyes. He leans in, and for a moment, the rest of the world fades.
“Do I have to make an appointment to kiss my bodyguard,” he murmurs, “or is this—” You cut him off by closing the distance, your lips finding his in a slow, tentative kiss.

1. The Scientific Method (or How to Win You Over)
It starts subtly—at least, as subtle as Jayce can manage.
“You know,” he says, leaning against your desk, broad shoulders blocking your view of the latest schematics, “I was thinking—you and I should go out sometime. Just the two of us. For research purposes.”
You don’t even have time to process before Viktor, seated across from you, speaks without looking up from his own work.
“Research into what? The effects of secondhand embarrassment?”
Jayce shoots him a glare. “Into team bonding, Viktor.”
“Mm. And what hypothesis are you testing? That you can single-handedly drive them to madness?” Viktor hums, scratching something in his notes. “A bold assumption, but I suppose it is not entirely unfounded.”
Jayce turns back to you, ignoring him. “Dinner. Drinks. Maybe some—”
“A headache,” Viktor mutters.
Jayce groans, running a hand down his face before pointing at you. “You. Pick a side here.”
You exhale, setting down your pen. “I don’t even know what we’re arguing about.”
“We aren’t arguing,” Viktor says at the same time Jayce huffs, “We are arguing.”
You stare at them both. They stare at each other.
This has been happening for weeks.
It’s not always this obvious—sometimes it’s in the little things, the way Viktor always ensures your coffee is warm but lets Jayce suffer with whatever’s left in the pot. Or how Jayce somehow always has an extra set of tools whenever you’re missing yours, grinning like he wasn’t just waiting for the opportunity.
And the way they bicker—gods, it never ends.
“Fine,” you say, leaning back in your chair. “Jayce, we can do dinner. And Viktor, you can join.”
Jayce groans, throwing his head back. “Not the third-wheel invitation—”
“I accept,” Viktor interrupts smoothly.
Jayce turns to him, expression wounded. “Dude.”
“You do not own them, Jayce.”
“Neither do you!”
Viktor just smiles.
You take another sip of your coffee. This is going to be a long night.
2. The Art of Winning (or Just Being Petty)
“Y/n, my dearest, most trusted lab partner,” Viktor says, sidling up next to you while you’re examining some blueprints. “You are an artist of unparalleled skill. Would you mind assisting me with some designs?”
You raise an eyebrow, but before you can answer, Jayce materializes from across the room.
“Woah, woah, hold on, I was just about to ask them for help.”
Viktor tilts his head, feigning confusion. “Just about to? How convenient.”
Jayce narrows his eyes. “You knew I was gonna ask them—”
“Mm. And yet, I asked first.”
“That doesn’t—”
“Time is linear, Jayce. Surely you understand this.”
Jayce looks ready to explode.
You pinch the bridge of your nose. “You both know I have other work to do, right?”
They don’t. They definitely don’t.
But Jayce recovers first, flashing you his most charming smile. “C’mon, you know I have the bigger project right now—”
“Size does not determine quality, Jayce,” Viktor interrupts. “By that logic, your brain should be much more effective.”
Jayce’s jaw drops. “Did you just—?”
“Mm?” Viktor takes a slow sip of his tea.
You sigh, turning away before you witness a murder. “I’m flipping a coin. Heads, I help Jayce. Tails, I help Viktor.”
Jayce’s shoulders relax. “That seems fair.”
Viktor hums, noncommittal.
You flip. The coin lands. You glance at it.
Then, you slap it onto your palm before either of them can see and say, “I’m helping myself today.”
Viktor huffs a quiet laugh, and Jayce groans, dropping his head onto the nearest surface.
“Brilliant,” Viktor murmurs. “I am rubbing off on you.”
Jayce mumbles something into the desk. You pat his shoulder in consolation before walking away, leaving them to their stalemate.
3. The Heart of the Matter (Or: Maybe They’re Not as Subtle as They Think)
At some point, you begin to wonder if they even know what they’re fighting over.
Because it’s not just lab work. It’s not just projects, or coffee, or who gets to sit next to you during meetings.
It’s you.
And they’re both smart enough to know it, even if neither of them says it outright.
It’s in the way Jayce’s gaze lingers whenever you laugh, like he’s memorizing the sound. The way Viktor’s voice softens when he murmurs your name, careful, like he knows the weight it holds.
It’s in how they both wait for you at the end of the day, pretending it’s just coincidence.
It’s in the way Viktor watches Jayce’s arm brush against yours and says nothing, but his fingers tighten around his cane. In how Jayce watches Viktor pull you in to murmur something close and he says nothing, but his jaw tenses.
It’s in the way neither of them will ever say it—but neither of them will yield, either.
And you?Well.
You just let them fight.

Yandere!Mouse x Scientist!Reader
Tumblr media
M5 has always known that his existence is futile. Once he serves his purpose, he’ll be exterminated, unneeded in this world. There’s no room for delusion, for him to even doubt his purpose – not when the scientists handle him like an object, like a test subject, like a means to an end.
At least the tests finish relatively fast as long as he keeps still. Even as the scientists shuffle him around, even as the scientists poke and prod him – M5 keeps still and silent.
Not that it really matters, though. They treat him the same as the other mice in the lab, even if he’s the best behaved. Even as the others scream and cry and bite due to pain, the scientists are unflinching and emotionless. Even as he is so still, so good, so obedient, the scientists are cold and distant.
Truly, his existence is meaningless – that’s all he can think.
But then you come along. You’re the new scientist in the lab, someone whose expression differs greatly from the older scientists. You actually smile. He doesn’t remember when he’s last seen a smile.
And you’re warm. Gentle.
“Hey, I have to draw some blood from you today,” you murmur, hand on his wrist. Your grasp his firm, but it doesn’t hurt – no, it’s rather warm.
He looks back at you, gaze steady. Taking his obedience as an answer, you begin to draw his blood with great skill to the point that it doesn’t even hurt. It’s surprising to him.
“There,” you say once you’re done, tucking the sample away into your coat pocket. “You were so, so good. Thank you for your cooperation.”
Your fingers run through his hair as you pat his head. It’s so nice. It feels so good.
His heart feels like it’s going to burst.
He watches as you leave, eyes glued to your form. When you’re not there, he thinks of you, replaying your visage in his mind. He pats his head, trying to replicate your motions, but he never comes close.
You’re just… so amazing. He’s never seen the sun, but he thinks your smile is what it’d look like. He’s never cared much for conversation, but he wants to hear your voice over and over again. He’s never wanted to be close to someone, but he wants to be near you, wrapped in your arms as he hears your heart beat.
He hates the other scientists’ visits, but he eagerly awaits yours. You’re the only one that makes his heart beat, his cheeks flush. You’re the only one he wants to be with for eternity.
You gave him purpose for his existence. You are the only reason he lives.
So, won’t you let him be yours? Please?
He’ll be so, so good, just for you.

What to Expect During PAT Testing at a Dubai Testing Lab: A Comprehensive Guide? | +971 554747210
If you're running a business in Dubai, ensuring the safety and functionality of your electrical appliances and equipment is not just a legal requirement, but also an essential step in maintaining a safe and productive workplace. Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is a critical part of this process. But what exactly happens during PAT testing at a Dubai testing lab? In this comprehensive guide, we’ll walk you through what to expect during a PAT testing session, its importance, and how it helps businesses stay compliant with local regulations.
What is PAT Testing?
PAT testing refers to the inspection and testing of electrical appliances and equipment to ensure they are safe to use. The goal of PAT testing lab is to identify potential electrical faults and ensure that the equipment complies with safety standards. This testing is essential to prevent electrical accidents, fires, and injuries that could otherwise occur due to faulty equipment.
For businesses in Dubai, PAT testing is not just a precaution—it is often a legal requirement under various safety and health regulations. PAT testing helps companies comply with the Dubai Municipality regulations and international safety standards such as ISO 9001.
Why PAT Testing is Essential for Businesses in Dubai
Safety Compliance: As mentioned earlier, PAT testing helps businesses ensure they are in compliance with local and international safety regulations. This is crucial in avoiding legal liabilities and maintaining a secure environment for both employees and customers.
Accident Prevention: Regular PAT testing ensures that potential electrical hazards are identified early, significantly reducing the risk of workplace accidents such as electrical shocks or fires.
Operational Efficiency: Faulty equipment can lead to downtime, which can disrupt business operations. By identifying and fixing electrical issues promptly, businesses can avoid unnecessary disruptions.
Insurance and Liability: Insurance companies often require proof of regular PAT testing to process claims related to electrical accidents. Without evidence of compliance, your business may face difficulties in receiving compensation for electrical-related damages.
Reputation: A commitment to maintaining safe and fully operational electrical equipment reflects positively on your business. It builds trust with employees, clients, and customers alike.
Now that we understand the importance of PAT testing, let’s explore what you can expect during a PAT testing session at a Dubai testing lab.
What Happens During PAT Testing at a Dubai Testing Lab?
1. Initial Assessment and Equipment Identification
The first step in PAT testing involves a thorough assessment of all the electrical appliances and equipment in your workplace. A qualified PAT tester will identify each item that needs to be tested. These items can range from power tools, office equipment like computers and printers, to large industrial machinery.
The tester will assess the type of appliance, its usage, and the environment in which it operates. This helps determine which tests are necessary based on the type of equipment and its risk level.
2. Visual Inspection
Once the equipment is identified, the next step is a visual inspection. The tester will look for any visible signs of damage or wear that could pose a risk. This includes checking for:
Frayed cables
Loose or exposed wires
Damaged plugs or connectors
Burn marks
Corrosion or rust
Cracked or damaged insulation
Visual inspections are important as they can reveal obvious safety hazards that require immediate attention. If any issues are found, they will be flagged for repair or replacement before proceeding with further testing.
3. Earth Continuity Test
One of the key tests performed during PAT testing is the earth continuity test. This test ensures that the earth (ground) connection of the appliance is intact. A failure in the earth connection can lead to electric shocks if there is a fault in the appliance.
The tester will use a specialized instrument to check the continuity of the earth wire, ensuring that it is properly connected and can safely conduct any fault current.
4. Insulation Resistance Test
Next, the tester will perform an insulation resistance test to check for any potential leakage of electrical current from the live parts of the appliance. This is especially important for high-voltage equipment or items that come into direct contact with users, such as electrical tools.
The insulation resistance test ensures that the insulation surrounding the electrical wiring is in good condition and can prevent electrical shocks or short circuits.
5. Polarity Test
The polarity test ensures that the live and neutral wires are connected correctly in the appliance. Incorrect polarity can cause electric shock hazards or even lead to equipment malfunction. The tester will verify that the polarity of the electrical appliance matches the standard configuration.
6. Functional Testing
The functional test ensures that the appliance is operating as intended. This test involves powering the appliance and observing its performance. The tester will ensure that the equipment is working properly without any unusual sounds, excessive heat, or malfunctioning components.
7. Leakage Current Test
For appliances with electrical components, a leakage current test will be conducted. This test checks for small amounts of current that may escape from the appliance, which can be hazardous to users. The tester will measure the leakage current and compare it with the safe threshold for that type of equipment.
8. Recording Results and Labeling
Once all the tests are completed, the results are recorded. If the appliance passes all the tests, it is labeled as safe and compliant. The label will include a sticker or tag with the test date, the next due date for testing, and the tester’s information. This provides a clear record of when the appliance was last tested and when it is due for the next round of inspections.
If an appliance fails any of the tests, it is marked as faulty and removed from service until repairs or replacements are made.
9. Documentation and Reporting
After the tests are completed, the testing lab will provide detailed documentation of the results. This report will include:
A list of all tested equipment
Results of each test (pass or fail)
Recommendations for repairs or replacements
Next due date for testing
This documentation is crucial for businesses to maintain a record of their compliance and to share with insurance companies, regulatory bodies, or auditors.
Conclusion
PAT testing at a Dubai testing lab is a critical service for businesses to ensure the safety of their electrical equipment and comply with local and international regulations. By undergoing PAT testing, businesses can prevent electrical hazards, reduce downtime, and maintain a safe environment for employees and customers.
Understanding what to expect during the PAT testing process helps businesses prepare for the assessment and ensures that their equipment stays in top condition. With regular testing and proper maintenance, you can safeguard your workplace, avoid costly repairs, and remain compliant with all safety standards.

Snatching Snitches pt 3: Danny
Masterpost
Danny threw his bag on the sofa and kicked the front door shut without looking. His bag went too far and flipped over the side of the couch. It landed on the floor with a loud thump.
He groaned. “Come onnnnnn.” Danny trudged across the room to fix it and then yelped as a barrel appeared from the ceiling, humming with murderous power. It was aimed right at him. He hit the ground in a roll and dodged the laser blast. The scorched carpet immediately stank.
The next hit seared a hole through his sleeve, missing his arm by a hair’s breadth.
“Ah!” Danny screamed and flung himself behind the kitchen counter to find cover. There was no way a Fenton laser was getting through the marble countertop, right? He scrambled to pull the trashcan out to clear up a place to cower.
The basement door opened with a bang. 300lbs of screaming warrior flew up the stairs, bristling with guns and a grin. “Behold, the might of science!”
“Hi, Dad,” Danny said, contorting himself to fit in the nook where the trash bag was meant to be.
“Hey, Danno!” Dad rapidly changed positions, pointing his ghost guns in different directions to try to catch out the intruder he was looking for. “New sensor went off! Didja see something?” He was excited like a little kid.
Danny poked three fingers through the smoking hole in his shirt and wiggled them. “I saw the new laser,” he said dryly.
Dad’s face fell. “Oh, did you trigger it?” He sadly trudged over to disable the laser, which was furiously vibrating in place as it tried and failed to locate his ecto signature through the signal dampening over granite.
Danny felt his face twitch. “Yep.”
‘Thank gosh my parents can’t figure out how to get a good lock with anything but the boomerang. I would be toast if that thing got me.’
“Well, uh, thanks for testing that.”
Dad’s weapons somehow disappeared, which was great for Danny’s passive level of anxiety. He crawled back out into the kitchen itself and then shoved the trash can back into place. Footsteps thumped down the stairs and Jazz swung into view, already frowning.
“Dad, you didn’t install something new up here without telling us, did you?” She crossed her arms. “Don’t you think that’s hazardous?”
“Nonsense!” Jazz yelped and unsuccessfully dodged as Dad ruffled her hair. “It’s only harmful to spooks. Stay safe!” He trotted back down the stairs to the lab. The door slammed with finality.
Jazz looked at Danny. Danny looked at Jazz. He shrugged.
Her face fell. “I wish he wouldn’t do that,” she sighed. Then she pulled her hair band off with a grimace to begin untangling her hair. Strands stuck out and were wrapped around the accessory, so she only lifted it a few inches from her head before it jerked to a stop.
Danny huffed out a breath and then patted the kitchen counter. “Come here, where there’s cover,” he offered. “I’ll get that out for you.”
“Thanks.” Jazz came over and leaned down enough that he could disentangle her hair band. He did his best not to snap any of her hair strands. But he didn’t want to be too nice, so when he was done he yanked the hairband down to cover her eyes and then threw himself back with a giggle. Jazz shrieked and flung her arms out to smack him. She missed and flailed, fuming. “Ugh, Danny,” she complained. “You’re such a twerp!”
“Loserrrr,” Danny jeered.
Jazz pulled the hair band off and gave him the stink eye. “Turn on the TV. I wanna hang out.”
Wait, what? Danny squinted at her, caught off guard by the sudden change of direction. His sister gave him a smile that looked somewhere between sinister and mild. “No,” he said, not sure what was going on but sure that it wouldn’t be good for him.
Jazz huffed and put a hand on her hip. “If I’m right, you’re going to want to see it.” She sailed past him to grab a carton of juice from the fridge and then went upstairs.
He couldn’t help it. He followed her, caught in her gravity. Danny even knew he was springing her vile sister trap, but what else could he do?
It had been an error.
“Oh no,” Danny said, choked up. He put a hand over his mouth and watched in horror as iconic television host and book club archbishop Poprah leaned over her desk to shake the hand of a tiny little guy in a prim suit. He felt, not saw, Jazz curl her lips up like the Grinch.
“Thank you for having me,” Damian said. He used his hands to get onto the adult-sized chair and then folded them on his lap.
“It’s my pleasure,” Poprah beamed, her teeth very white. She looked as perfect and polished as Damian did. “It’s not every day that a Wayne goes on the record! I feel like I should treasure the opportunity, maybe ask some sneaky questions.”
Damian regarded her impassively. “Perhaps,” he said. “However, I cannot be led astray by your journalistic wiles, ma’am. I am here with a singular purpose.”
The crowd loved that. Poprah paused to let them react with laughs, blinking and smiling as she eagerly waited for the hubbub to die down. “Okay, okay,” she said, waving her hands around to gain the attention back. “No journalistic wiles. You’re too clever for that, I gotcha.”
Damian nodded briskly. “I appreciate your restraint.” That set the crowd off again.
‘I can’t tell if he knows what he’s doing.’
Danny stared bleakly at the tv, where his little boy was sitting with his feet dangling in the air. Surely that had to have been purposeful. The multimillionaire Poprah could have found a smaller chair if Damian had wanted to minimize….
‘Maybe he thinks that sitting in an adult sized chair makes him look more like an adult.’
Danny unsuccessfully hid his mouth further behind his hands, using both of them now. He couldn’t look away. It was a train wreck. He was grieving. He wanted to laugh.
“Well, Poprah,” Damian said in response to something the woman had said. “I am searching for my kitty cat. Might I use your projector?”
The crowd collectively said awwww. Damian must have been fuming, though he hid it well.
“I think I’ve heard something about this,” Poprah said gravely. “Go ahead.” She waved a hand and a ten foot projection of Danny as a scrungly cat appeared on the wall of the set.
The crowd did not say awww.
“Hey,” Danny muttered.
“Kinda cute,” Jazz said idly.
He perked up, and then realized that she had done this on purpose. He looked over and made eye contact. She knew. Jazz smiled again. He knew that she knew, and she knew that he knew she knew.
“How!” Danny leapt to his feet and flung an accusatory finger at his sister.
She regarded him calmly. This was her victory, he saw that now. “Danny, there is only one person in the world who would publicly tell Tucker that he had worms. I knew that you were with the Waynes, safe, and someone had taken you to get a checkup thorough enough to discover worms. It was the Nasty burger, wasn’t it?”
He stared at her, wounded by being perceived so clearly.
“You shouldn’t eat raw fish from anyplace with a black mark and DNI order from the food safety organization,” Jazz chided, not for the first time. “Anyway, no one takes teenage boys to get checked for worms unless they have a lot of self awareness.” She crossed her arms victoriously. “But they take a new cat to the vet!”
“What’s wrong with you,” Danny said, awed. “Your dark genius is terrible to behold.”
She brushed it off. “It was simple reasoning, Danny,” Jazz said, towering in her modesty. She was so scary. He leaned away. Then towards her, torn. “And of course it was obvious when poor little Damian Wayne started looking for his lost kitty cat.”
Oh. This was the knife. Danny leaned away, helpless to avoid the blow.
“It’s so sad,” Jazz said plainly. There was no need for dramatics. It was sad.
Danny considered the virtues of going ghostly enough to sink through the floor in abject shame. “…yeah.”

thinking about cuddling s1 Viktor ♡
Tumblr media
It's no secret that Viktor practically lives in the lab. The countless hours of tinkering and testing often meant long nights for him. He doesn't even know how or when but you managed to convince the scientist to spend the night with you.
An hour after midnight you hear a knock on your door. A tired Viktor stands at your door's entrance. His disheveled hair falling over his forehead, the bags under his eyes more noticeable now. You take his hand, cold skin against your warm palm, and bring him inside. Your cozy dorm sheltering you from the cold winter outside.
"I apologize for coming over so late." His tired voice, sounding almost like a whisper, comes from behind you as you lead him into your bedroom.
"I'm surprised you came." You softly chuckle. You help him take off his coat, placing it over a chair in the corner of your room. You notice the way his eyes fell onto your bed.
Viktor's gaze locked onto the plush blankets that adorned your bed. He noticed the soft glow of your lights which gave your room a warmth that was very inviting. The air in your room alone was a stark contrast to the metallic tang of the lab. He couldn’t ignore the faintly laced, intoxicating trace of your perfume, no matter how hard he tried.
"I'm surprised as well." He quietly mumbled. His eyes glanced over your trinkets and decor. Your room was far more comfortable than he had imagined.
You sit up on your bed and pat the empty space beside you.
"Right. I'll, uh... I’ll just get comfortable.” His heart suddenly in his throat.
"I won't look. I promise." You say as you grab a book from your drawer. You pretend to read, your back facing him, but all you can do is imagine the way his long fingers unbutton his vest. The soft material sliding down his back. You wanted nothing more than to help him unbutton his white shirt. To see his collarbones peaking through, his chest being exposed after each button becomes undone. You wanted to-
"I should probably keep these... on." His quiet voice cutting off your thoughts as he slides into the bed. You put your book down as you feel the bed dip beside you and get under the bedsheets, noticing he stripped down to his underwear. Like a magnet, your hand finds his and you intertwine your fingers together. His skin was still cold compared to yours, the tips of his fingers and his knuckles slightly red from the bitter wind outside.
"Come here." He pulls you in, wrapping his arm around you. Unable to refrain himself, he buries his nose in your hair, breathing in the sweet fragrance of your perfume as he holds you close against his chest. Your warmth immediately soothing him, his body melting and relaxing into your bed.
There was a comfortable silence between you two. His buzzing mind slowly comes to a halt when he feels your body go limp against him.
"Darling?" He calls for you softly but is only met with a soft hum as a response. He smiles as he watches over you. God, you looked so peaceful. The way your face softened as you slept, the way your lashes looked... he could never find the right way to put it into words but dammit he knew you were everything to him.
Viktor lets out a small sigh, his head falling back on the pillow as he savors the moment. For once, he actually relaxes. For once, the tightness from his shoulders and back fades away. The thoughts of his mind now occupied by you... your room, your warmth instead of numbers and scientific theories. He felt safe here, a different kind of safe. His heart tightened in chest as he noticed he would never be able to sleep without you.
He could feel his eyelids slowly getting heavy, eyebrows no longer borrowed tightly, realizing it had been a while since he actually slept. Here, in the quiet of your room, he could hold the world at bay even if it was just for a little while.
Viktor experiences his first deep sleep in a very long time, only stirring when he feels your body shifting against him.

I think the idea of Dick actually being Lex Luthor’s original test clone is fun. Like he’s the original clone that’s half Lex and half Clark. Maybe Lex thought he wasn’t developing Kryptonian powers, or maybe he just decided that he wanted to try full Kryptonian clone next and he got bored of the half Kryptonian clone he didn’t really want. Dick was a test to prove cloning could work. Lex didn’t actually want a child that was only half Kryptonian.
So he tells a lab tech to get rid of the baby. What he meant was for the tech to dispose of the baby. He didn’t realize the lab tech took the baby and gave it to a couple he knew that worked in a circus.
So Dick is raised not knowing he’s actually a clone. But then when Bruce takes him in, he thinks there’s something so oddly familiar about Dick. He can’t put his finger on it right away, but he looks like someone Bruce knows. Maybe a couple someones. It drives Bruce nuts until he finally just runs a DNA test to see if maybe the Graysons had some relatives Bruce knew, maybe Dick had some extended family that he might want to get to know.
But then it comes back that he’s a match for both Lex Luthor and Superman. And Dick is so confused, because he’s eight.
Bruce figures it out almost immediately. He tries very gently to explain it to Dick.
Dick freaks out and gets upset at first, because he’s sad his parents weren’t really his parents, but Bruce promises him that they must have loved him so much if they raised him like their own while knowing he wasn’t really their biological baby. Then he gets upset that Lex Luthor is his dad, because Lex is a bad guy, and Dick met him at a gala a few weeks ago and he was mean and called Dick a circus monkey.
Bruce spends several days comforting Dick about the whole thing. The fact that he’s half Superman helps him feel better. But he doesn’t want Superman to be mad at him for being his half-clone. And if Superman decides to take him away to raise him, Dick doesn’t really want to leave Bruce. He likes Bruce. He likes the manor. He likes Alfred. He likes being Robin. He doesn’t want to be a Superboy.
But Bruce convinced him to tell Clark anyway. And Dick is so nervous and he makes Bruce hold him the entire time they talk to Clark, and he hides his face in Bruce’s neck when Clark freezes and doesn’t say anything for a few minutes.
“Well,” Clark says after a few minutes, clearing his throat. He’s only met Dick a couple times now, and he hates that the boy who had been so excited to meet him at first is now scared of him. “I suppose if I was going to have a half-clone, I’m glad it’s you, Dickie.”
Dick is still a little freaked out, and now he’s getting upset, and he pulls his face away from Bruce’s neck to ask Clark in a teary voice, “Am I gonna end up bald like Lex?”
Clark lets out a startled laugh, then moves closer to ruffle Dick’s hair.
“Nah,” Clark teases him. “My genes are clearly much stronger than his. That’s why you’re so handsome.”
Dick smiles at him, but then goes back to hiding his face in Bruce’s neck. Bruce pats his back, then turns to Clark.
“He wanted to make sure that you wouldn’t take him away from me,” Bruce tells him.
“Oh,” Clark gasps, “oh, um. No, no, I won’t take him away. I think - you’d be much better for him, anyway.”
“You don’t hate me, right?” Dick’s question is muffled.
“No,” Clark says quickly. “I could never hate you, Dickie. Never.”
“See?” Bruce whispers to Dick, planting a hand firmly on the back of Dick’s head. “I told you everything would be alright.”
Then years later, when Dick finds Superboy when he’s investigating Cadmus with Wally and Kaldur, he’s so determined to save Superboy. Because that’s basically his brother. That is his brother. And he tells Clark as much when Clark gets weird about it and gets all standoffish with Conner (who Dick names almost immediately).
Idk I just like the idea of Dick eventually messing with Clark bc he gets mad about how mean he’s being to Conner, and Dick eventually scares the crap out of Clark because he sneaks up on him and asks in a creepy, deep voice, “Am I a real boy, papa?” And that’s what gets Clark to finally get over himself and go have a real conversation with Conner.
I also like Dick immediately claiming Conner as his brother. Except he gets mad that he’s technically older but Conner is physically older.
“You’re the little brother!” Dick insists.
“I’m much bigger than you.”
“Thats not the point! I’m the big brother!”
“Hmm. No thanks.”
Conner has learned the fine art of trolling from Dick himself. Dick regrets teaching him so well.
