I say this because regardless of gender or sexual orientation, a relationship between masculine individuals should be respected like any other dynamic.

We shouldn’t have to change who we are to make people comfortable. I don’t care what you think is “normal”, I’ll dress how I fucking want while loving who I want. There’s no default look to being gay. We’re not “strange” or “weird” for liking people who dress similar to us. No one is.

It doesn’t have to be your preference and you don’t have to understand it, we just ask that you stop shaming us. We love who we love just like everyone else. Simple as that.

this turned out really well, with confidence ratings of 80% or more throughout most of the alpha helix. the side chains are also interesting to look at, because the glycine (G) and alanine (A) are tiny, while the tyrosine (T) is pretty bulky and aromatic. i don't really know what this little guy would do inside a cell, but its pretty fun to look at on the screen

i like the sunset lesbian flag, but i just i thought it'd be cool to mix some previous lesbian flag colors into a more inclusive one

i decided to mix aspects of the sunset flag with shades of purple/violet to represent sapphism

i think this would be a great flag for the general lesbian community. i always see the sunset lesbian one used as the default, but it's just offputting to see "relationships to womanhood" when it's supposed to be nonbinary inclusive. even as a bigender lesbian, i can acknowledge this treats womanhood like the default and makes other nonbinary lesbians feel left out and ignored within their own community. i also thought it was important to represent transgender lesbians as a total, as well as studs and stems, because i feel they aren't included enough and dont get nearly as much representation either.

This Pride Month, I want us to care about ourselves. Whether it's speaking more openly on our experiences, going to events again or for the first time, spending time with partners or being brave and putting ourselves out there, find the space for yourself. Hi, I'm a second year psychology student doing research on how queer people view others within the LGBTQ+ community.

Its just a short task and survey that should take 5-10minutes to complete, any participation is appreciated! Thank you!

Extra clarrification on some things under the cut :)

In this study we use the words "(gender) conforming" to mean anyone thats not part of the LGBTQ+ community and "(gender)non-conforming" for anyone that is. This was suggested to help us code the results better, but we now know that this may have overcomplicated things.

The first part of the study involves an IAT, for some people they will be put into the "positive, conforming" conditioin first and others will be the "positive, nonconforming" first. It may seem scewed, and some people have bought up that it can seem bias, but that is just how this type of test works- it has been used and tested in many other studies and has not shown internal bias.

These are the main two points people have bought up, feel free to ask any other questions about this research though I will be happy to try and answer as much as I can :)
