Jade Lanolin once more found herself in a strangely familiar room, finding a younger version of herself. This time it was a version of herself that she recognised.

The one who'd lost the tenrec she loved.

The younger sheep sat in front of the TV, idly watching what looked like some kind of documentary while a young fox snoozed away while resting his head against her arm.

Their eyes met and Jadolin couldn't help but smile at the scene in front of her.

"You're doing great." she said while gesturing to the little kit. "She'd be so proud of you."

"Scientists for generations have argued about the meaning of the ruin to little avail. Built like a temple but with no clear entrance or exit, the general consensus is some kind of monument to a goddess of the sun."

The clinical, elderly human with the bushy eyebrows droned along on television, only occasionally breaking away from his monologue to ramble about cucumber sandwiches. Lanolin, truthfully, had been wearing close to sleep herself as well. Tonight had been a good night; everyone had come together and aired out their concerns, and rather than the result being anything and everything falling to pieces beneath dissent between the Diamond Cutters, they'd done nothing but strengthen themselves.

Kit, all bundled up in a blanket like a fennec burrito, would probably have been mortified at ending up in such a position with his cheek resting on the sheep's bicep. She'd planned to tote him off to bed, but now her eyelids were growing heavier and heavier and-

"You're doing great. She'd be so proud of you."

The sheep flinched, dark-ringed eyes getting wide. It's clear that since Jade Lanolin last met this version of herself, her sleeping problems hadn't improved. Nor other things; the older Lanolin can also see this room in an unfortunately regressive state in general. Nothing adoring the white walls, simple and perfunctory furniture filling it.

Lanolin was spooked at first; and why wouldn't she be? Someone was suddenly in her living room! But her recognition slowly eases that out of her as she settled back to her previous state, speaking in a whisper: "I honestly thought you were a dream last time we met."

"Probably better to think of it that way." Jade Lanolin stopped behind the couch, reaching a gentle hand over the back and stroking the sleeping fennec's hair. He mumbled something about green wolves and poison. Video game dream, as usual. "But... It seems like you're pulling things together."

"As well as I can," Lanolin nodded, looking back at the television as it swung over a giant, mossy structure with seemingly uncountable stairs on its side. "...But the real test is seeing if that 'together' can last under pressure."

"The first step is always the hardest. Getting started, I mean. After that, it's just upkeep and clerical work. And I'm good at both of those, so..." She winked. Lanolin barely stifled an exhausted laugh.

"Yeah. This is definitely a dream." She shut her eyes. Meeting yourself was weird, but... Not unpleasant. "Thank you. For last time. The words of encouragement."

"Thank you for listening." Jade Lanolin decided it was probably best to leave these to to sleep. She bowed her head very slightly, giving one last look to the sleeping fennec and her younger self before leaving the door and whisking herself back where she belonged. She could only hope what they put together as a foundation was strong enough to last... But she had a good feeling about it. And that was definitely a strong start.

I know I just like posted about them. But I can’t help but want to talk about the little found family dynamic I made with them.

Honestly I always loved Gold, Silver, and the professors family relationship. Really wish we could’ve seen more of it. Huge bummer.

And then a while ago I got really attached to Silver and Surge sibling dynamic. And then also thought of Silver being like a big brother figure to Kit and Surge. And then added Gold. And then finally was like “What if the professor took them in?”.

And then today thought of Belle joining as well. Because the professor is kinda similar to Mister Tinker. And I think they’d be very cute. And it just became a bundle of wholesomeness.

And I love them. I love them so much. And would happily rant about them more. Just-

Precious family. So precious. And I can’t believe no one has thought of them.

Also I need a name for them. I want to call them something. So cute.

There are different ways you could go about this, including reaching out to Ace/Watchdog Ford in order to receive a better fitting Stanley.

Besides that…Have you accounted for how Stanley Pines will act after that? There are few constant universal truths, but one of them that we follow at AWDA is that the Pines Twins are a SET. They come together for a reason, even if they aren’t ways deserving of their other half.

Attempting to remove a Stan from their Ford is bad enough, but are you prepared to deal with the consequences?

Ford/45 will do anything to get his Stanley back, are you prepared to have to kill him to prevent that? Furthermore, are you prepared to kill the rest of his family? Stanley’s quite close to his Grandneice and Grandnephew, and you know of his adoptive son. Even if you do all that, there’s no guarantee you’ll be able to stop Stanley/45 from attempting to join them when he finds out. Or you could not tell him and just wipe his memory again. Or you could gaslight him into thinking he’s in the right universe and manipulate those around you to back up your story and deal with the constant guilt of knowing you’re lying to your family

If you are prepared for that, then carry on.

If and probably when you decide to do that, seeing how possessive and obsessive most Stanford’s tend to be on the record, might I suggest faking Stanley/45s death? If I’m right, and this is the dimension/timeline in which Bill was defeated and the younger Pines twins succeeded and both lived, then the older Pines Twins of this dimension are on a boat somewhere?

If that is the case, then perhaps you can manipulate a situation where Stanley goes overboard and Stanford thinks he’s dead? Even better if you can get your portal, you are planning on transporting him with a portal I believe, to appear in the water so Stanley doesn’t risk drowning. And since the effects of the Memory gun are semi-permanent, if fading, perhaps you can lightly gaslight him into believing he’s in the right world? You’d have to be on a boat upon leaving, but it could work. Or you could possibly invent a device to alter the minds of those around you so they believe the situation you tell them to be true?

Omega... The Pilot, a study

I keep thinking about this moment from the S3 trailer...and how much Tech (but also Hunter and Wrecker) have prepared Omega for this moment, (whatever it entails).

She has had a long journey of pilot training going back to Season 1 and I am SO excited to see it potentially pay off big in Season 3.

Recapping Omega's journey becoming a pilot so far....

In S1E9 Bounty Lost, Omega does some Piloting trying to escape Cad Bane and Fennec Shand. She was obviously familiar with these flight pods since they were Kaminoan. And I am going to assume that the malfunctioning of the flight pod was because of the abandoned pod itself, and not Omega's doing.

Then shortly after that in S1E10 Devil's Deal, while Omega is giving Hera a tour of the Marauder, she tells Hera that Tech won't let her train at flying the ship until she can recite ALL of the ship's specifications from memory.

Omega and Hera then have a nice exchange where Hera tells Omega that flying is only half about spec's but also about "a feeling". I love this so much because while of course she will get the finest education from Professor Tech and the other boys, having this additional not-by-the-book insight on what might make a good pilot is so great for Omega. (maybe we will see this come to fruition in season 3.....?!?!)

Next in S1E13 War Mantle, Omega is tasked with Piloting the Marauder and stabilizing it close to the mountainside in order to rescue Tech Hunter Echo and Gregor. She only keeps the ship steady for a few moments before Tech comes in to take over, but she got some good practice in!

Presumably she is willing and able to do this because at this point she has been getting some beginner level of flying lessons with Tech. Which means she Also memorized ALL of the ships spec's. (if at this point she Hadn't been receiving flying lessons with Tech yet, then it was probably the emergency rescue of it all and Wrecker would of course be the most encouraging that she take the wheel)

In the Season 2 opening episode Spoils of War, Tech and Omega with a very obvious Teacher/Student dynamic, suggesting they have been doing this for a significant amount of time and at Least since back in S1E10. Now Omega is studying and memorizing ALL of the ships in the Imperial FLEET. Which idk sounds like a Lot. (But also... I BET this will come in handy in Season 3 maybe?!?!)

Later in the same episode, it appears that Omega Also gets regularly scheduled Quiz time with Hunter. (which is ADORABLE)

(and yes I translated the data pad bc hyperfixation is a helluva drug)

Then All of that studying pays off immediately in the same episode when Tech Echo and Omega escape a cargo ship via a cargo container. Which was Omega's suggestion since she knew about the container's reentry thrusters from her studies.

And Tech is even Impressed!

There is a long stretch in Season 2 before there is any more Omega doing Pilot things. But Wow is it worth the Wait!

In S2E14 Tipping Point, FINALLY a Flying Lessons scene with Tech and Omega 🥹 and it's not even the first lesson! Based on their conversation it is apparent they have had Several lessons.

This is a HUGE payoff all the way back to S1E10 when Tech wanted Omega to memorize the Ships specs before training to fly.

From what we see in this Flying Lesson, Omega definitely knows her way around the ships maneuverability and limits, but she still needs practice with Landing. Tech gives her some constructive feedback and they seem to have a good rhythm with training.

Aaaand Now for some crack pot Season 3 Trailer speculation/theorizing...

I think this is definitely Omega at this crash site....especially considering the other shot we get of her in a Pilot seat.

I also think all of the subsequent shots in the trailer of that same shuttle type is also Omega piloting the ship while escaping from Tantis. If this is correct, it's clear that the shuttle is hit mid-escape and that is probably what causes it to eventually have to be crash landed.

And then those last two shots on the bottom right...it's a long shot but I think the shuttle shooting at the Troopers could be Omega (but maybe not) and the Doggo attacking the trooper was for SURE at the crash site with Omega and is probably protecting her here, or just going wild at the trooper. either way I support this doggo friend.

Summary: Evan notices a boy across the classroom

Evan pulled frustratedly at the sleeve of his sweater. Fuck Math. It was as if the professor was speaking in another language. Giving up, he flipped his notebook open to a new page. He’ll ask Pandora to explain it later. He drew a small bunny, for Pandora. Then a little fennec fox for himself. Marlene refused to claim an animal for herself, so Evan just drew a quick sketch of Marlene. It didn’t turn out that bad, but Marlene would definitely shit herself laughing. Flicking his notebook to a new page, Evan checked the time. Ten minutes left. Drumming his fingers on the table, he eventually decided to just rest for the last ten minutes. Laying his head on his arms, which were folded on the table, he turned to the right.

Almost instantly, he noticed a boy at the other side of the classroom, head on the table as well. Dark hair and vivid green eyes, rings on his hand. Evan stared at him, star struck, eyes tracing along his features.

Right then, their eyes met. The boy seemed surprised, but Evan couldn’t find it in himself to turn away. Unable to control himself, he smiled slightly. The boy’s lips parted, dragging Evan’s gaze down to them. A hand shot up, hitting the boy’s shoulder. The boy winced, and god forbid, he actually started pouting, sitting up to face the boy next to him.

A quiet chuckle slipped out, which of course drew Pandora’s attention immediately. “What’s so funny?” She asked. Evan shrugged, lifting his head to face Pandora properly. “Something’s up, Ev.”

“It’s nothing,” Evan insisted. Pandora hummed non-committedly, her eyes seeming to catch on something. A smug smile lit up her features. She hummed again, this time with an obvious meaning to it. “Shut up. Who is he anyway? Just curious.

“Sure, just curious. I’m not sure, but next to your little crush is Regulus Black, and the girl with braids in front of them is Dorcas Meadowes. Marlene seems to have an eye for her actually,” Pandora said. Evan looked at Meadowes. Yeah, seems like the one that caught Marlene’s eye during lunch. Then the first few words registered.

“Not a crush, Dora,” Evan mumbled back. Pandora hummed for the third time, staring pointedly at him. “It’s not!” He glanced towards them. The boy was already looking back at him. A small smile tugged at Evan’s lips, as he blushed lightly.

A loud, sudden thump from the front. The professor had dropped his book on the teacher’s table. “Regulus Black and Barty Crouch Junior! Be quiet and listen up, because this is important for your exams…”

Pandora burst into a fit of giggles. “Barty? You fell for a guy with the name Barty?” She asked, sounding extremely amused. Evan sighed, shaking his head lightly. Turning once again, he watched the boy laugh at something Dorcas said. Evan could hear the light peal of laughter, and it was a beautiful melody. Heavens help him, maybe love at first sight really existed, as he’s fallen for a boy named Barty Crouch Jr.
