This is dialogue from my AU, DISTORTED!! It's just if Poob got infected instead of Kasper. They're a very silly weirdo who feels closest to Pest, but they don't know why. They're also besties with Kasper, Lampert, Spud, and Split.

Imagine a fan-game with a relatively simple premise: You play as Lucas, who in turn is playing Touch And Go with Knack outside. Though it also has elements of Hide And Seek.

This is a thriller game.

When Knack is large, his legs are much longer than yours, and thus he is much faster. Similarly, the more relics he has, the longer his arms can reach. At this point, you hope that you can hide, either escaping his line of sight, or creeping in small spaces.

When hidden, keep your breathing measured and quiet. Hold your breath when he approaches, but be careful; run low on oxygen, and you'll be forced to gasp.

I'm not sure what Knack's hearing is like. Either it's pretty sharp, but he has some difficulty processing many sources of sound, or the opposite. It's relatively human range, but he isn't easily distracted.

When Knack is small, his legs are shorter than yours, so you'll have the speed advantage. But only if you are indeed on your feet. If you are in a crawlspace or other area in which you're too big to maneuver comfortably, Knack can catch up to you.

This assumes Knack only takes two sizes while he is "it". If he exhibited a nuanced control of his size, the game would be even more unfair.

Knack likes a challenge, so while you're "it," he'll avoid camping in crawlspaces or zooming around the garden. You'll still have to play smart and anticipate where he's going.

Most of the time, he'll aim to be a tad shorter than you.

You can pretty much go anywhere on the property, but:

Avoid remaining inside the building for long, lest an angry scientist appear. No running in the halls!

Staying inside is also less fair to Knack, since he's only allowed to shift sizes in designated areas. It might be funny though to walk as fast as humanly possible without running (you must have one foot on the ground at all times), meanwhile Knack zooms as fast as his baby legs can carry him after you. clack clack clack clack clack clack clack! The scientists might not like that, either.

The glory of the batfamily is not that they fit into a neat little box of family dynamics, it's that their family is messy. It's because Damian thinks of both Dick and Bruce as his dad, and Tim is technically emancipated but still buys Bruce a card on fathers day. They all chip in together to buy something for Alfred on fathers day too because he's a butler but he's part of their family.

Jason is both their brother, and the uncle with a criminal record in the same breath. Kate is a wine aunt but also a mom for some of the kids. Steph is their neighbor friend but also sometimes their sister.

They'll try to kill each other, they try to hurt each other, but at the end of the day they're down to get something from batburger. They're vigilantes in one of the worst cities in America, they are not a perfect family but that's the joy of it
