Unleashing Productivity: AI-Powered Solutions in Management
Leaders across industries are looking for new ways to drive efficiency across operations, streamline production, and gain an advantage over their competition. With that in mind, it’s no wonder that Generative AI (or GenAI), one of the newest on-market technologies, has become such a popular topic. But the buzz around it, and the increasingly wild speculation about what GenAI might unlock for business owners, leaves leaders like you with one very important question: what can GenAI do for me, right here, right now?
Let’s break down how leaders like you can use GenAI to unleash productivity within your organization.
Firstly, we need to break down what we mean when we use the term “GenAI.”
GenAI (or generative AI) is typically another term for a large language model (LLM) that takes a large pool of data, leverages it to understand the relationships between words, and then produces content in response to user prompts. The types of content it can produce are as varied as the prompts users can come up with; and as a result, GenAI can, in theory, be used to produce everything from social copy to thought leadership blogs and more.
When GenAI enters the conversation, many people focus on that content creation aspect; in reality, the value-add it’ll provide to your organization is in productivity enhancements. Case studies have shown that AI has increased the productivity of employees in a variety of industries, from call centers to software developers. As a general-purpose technology, it has a massive amount of potential use cases; the ways it will interact with your organization and enhance the productivity of your workers will likely differ from others.
That being said, as we go, we’ll illustrate a few general, practical uses for GenAI that may be relevant to your organization.
Optimizing Warehouse Operations
Take for example the manufacturing industry, which is no stranger to human-robot collaboration. Manufacturers have been benefiting from the aid of cutting-edge robotics tech for a while now; and while they are no strangers to change, they may wonder how AI will adjust the human-robot equation.
AI is a tool that you can deploy to attain a greater degree of efficiency. AI-powered tools can facilitate the construction takeoff process, read and analyze and even correct blueprints, and cut down on material waste by predicting how much will be needed to complete projects.
That being said, much like with robots, there are additional factors to take into consideration when integrating new technology into a potentially dangerous workspace. Only by emphasizing the importance of collaboration can leaders ensure that their human-robot work environment remains positive and safe for all involved.
While AI-powered robots may be able to help with manual tasks like heavy lifting, humans will need to contribute by making sure safety protocols are followed, regular maintenance is performed, and double-checking robots’ work for errors.
Reducing Human Error
AI can also streamline production by reducing occurrences of human error. AI works with robotic precision, automating manual tasks like data entry and entering each value correctly. Moreover, AI can also be used to reduce human error in the decision-making process, helping leaders compare data models and select the most profitable path to value.
Let’s use AI-powered product tracking as an example. Keeping track of items as they move through shipping and fulfillment is an issue that affects a large number of industries, as barcodes contain limited amounts of data, can be easily duplicated by malefactors, and even sometimes fall off of products. Using RFID tags, Near-Field communication tags or other smart labeling systems can be good alternatives to barcodes, and they can also carry much more data.
When combined with the analytical powers of AI and computer vision detection, this makes it much easier for companies to automatically register, track, and provide detailed information on where a product is in the supply chain. This way, if a human error arises and it is unclear where a specific item is, it is much easier to locate it and provide updates to important stakeholders.
AI can be integrated into business systems to allow employees to work smarter, not harder; and in our smart labeling system example, that is very much the case. Instead of having employees spend half their day scanning barcodes throughout your store and meticulously checking and double checking everything is where it should be, AI does all of that for you. Employees will be free to serve customers, restock, and perform various other store tasks as needed.
Increasing Efficiency
Jumping off our last point, AI’s most powerful use case is helping your employees work smarter, not harder. When your employees aren’t busy working on manual tasks, they’re free to chase other, potentially lucrative areas of growth. AI helps your workers turn out their best work, which then helps your organization drive profit; it’s a powerful, circular relationship that will boost your profitability job satisfaction, and your chances of being on the cutting edge of innovation.
You can leverage your performance metrics system to determine where AI is most needed, and then keep track of its impact on those sectors over time. Some tweaking may be needed, as a change of this scale is almost always iterative; but with the information to detect pain points, you’ll be well on your way to driving productivity across departments.
We hope this primer gave you some insight into how AI can be used to drive productivity across your business. As you use this exciting technology to streamline operations and drive productivity, we hope you see the stellar growth you’re aiming for and land among the giants of your industry.

There's nothing inherently wrong with cybernetic augmentation, but please avoid a Neural Link implant. The safety record alone is something to raise an eyebrow at, and that says nothing of the long-term strain and consequences of attempting to captain two ships at once!

Just read a post about how you shouldn’t trust a doctor who rushes you and like, yes I fully understand the frustration, so here’s what you can do to stop yourself being rushed:
-ask for a double appointment
-ask for a triple appointment
-fuck it ask for an hour long appointment if you think it’ll help
-be outright about what you want/need from an appointment. If you need more time to process information, say that. If you need the doctor to write out all information, say that. If you have a complex case/long history, say that!
-list all the reasons why you want to see the doctor/vet that day and please don’t sugar coat it. “Been vomiting” is a ten minute fix. “Been vomiting after every meal for the past two years” is not. It needs a double appointment and possibly a referral too.
Doctors and vets are overworked to fuck and exploited to hell. Help us out a little, please
#I get the frustration I really really fucking do#But I cannot stress this enough: we do not get overtime#We don’t! If you are booked in for a fifteen minute time slot and it takes 45 minutes we run late. We lose our lunch or we go home late and#We never get that time back. We already work long hours for frankly less pay than you’d expect for someone saving lives#If I run even just fifteen minutes late after one appointment it knocks on to everything and suddenly I cannot HALT#which is the acronym to encourage medical professionals to take care of themselves to reduce human error#(Basically take a break if you’re Hungry Angry Lonely/Late or Tired)#I have known other new grads who have to stay back at work unpaid for 1-2 hours every DAY#Do you know how much that wears you out?#All I’m saying is properly booked appointments are a godsend.#Also don’t sugar coat the reason for bringing a pet into the vets.#‘I want him checked over he’s old’ and ‘I want him euthanised he’s really struggling’ are two VERY different consults#I do get people’s frustrations with doctors but this website has a tendency to forget that they’re still human#If you were forced to do unpaid labour every day because you’ve got an understaffed over exploited work force you’d probably be annoyed too#And I know a lot of people are!!! But people don’t realise medical professionals are too!!!#We’re all in the hell of late stage capitalism together and that means you pay too much for a vet/doctor who does not have#The time or resources they fucking need

Culture Shock
Look, Danny knows not all of the ghosts from the Zone are human, ok?
Skulker is an alien, Wulf is from another dimension, and Frostbite's ancestral world don't even have planets.
You can meet any ghost from any world and any time period, it's only one of the infinite weird things about the Realms.
So it wasn't a big deal when Danny asked Walker to teach him his mother tongue. Just an attempt to reduce the communication error with the guy, and maybe an effort to get to know his Zone neighbors better.
Generic ghost speak can only get them so far after all.
And ok, Danny wasn't expecting to get actual language books and fucking homeworks from the warden, but whatever. Walker is stuffy like that. It's actually pretty sweet of him to give Danny all of these materials, and Danny can appreciate that.
It might have, unfortunately, slipped Danny's mind to ask more about Walker's origins. Although to be fair, learning an alien language wouldn't be a problem normally, it shouldn't be.
If not for that cursed Fenton luck.
How in the realms is Danny supposed to know Walker is Kryptonian??? Walker acts nothing like Superman, how is Danny supposed to connect the two dots?!
Shit, how do he even start to explain this when Superman is knocking on his dorm window??

DpxDc #11
I had this in my notes for a while, so I translated it into English. Could contain some translation errors :)
No one is able to conceive infinity.
The human brain allows us to visualize limited and constantly changing elements, making even the calculation of a single object unreliable.
The concept of infinity is reduced, in our mind, as a confined section that expands as we go forward. The visualization of a space without boundaries is, on our part, constantly wrong.
Therefore, man is not able to imagine, nor see for himself, the infinite as concrete. Understanding this, the idea that we ourselves have always lived in an infinite space is conceived as ephemeral and insignificant.
Ditto the consciousness of the individual, which differentiates from the consciousness of the self.
Being a socialized mammal, man presents himself with collectivity, aware of his own existence and of an entity formed by the mind of every other single existing individual.
We are not able to register an individual as such, making their existence, in addition to the superficial, incomprehensible.
This idea pushed Danny from the back of his mind, a concept not conceivable in a concrete way. The idea of being someone, not understood by others.
The terror that you are not who you think you are, and consequently, knowing that you can never understand who the people you love truly are. The infinite, impossible possibilities in the mind of each individual.
Splitting the collective into individuals, infinite times…
A shiver ran down his spine, stopping his train of thought. His throat closed in an uncomfortable knot, forcing him to swallow noisily.
It was easy to lose yourself, some days. Little to do, no one to talk to… The existential terror that came with becoming King. Danny could positively declare that he was not well.
Following the defeat of the Piriah Dark, the role of ruler had been thrown on his shoulders with little delicacy, making a teenager responsible for the guardianship of the Infinite Realms. Fortunately, the citizens did not need any special guidance, left to their own devices for several millennia, but the same could not be said for the realm itself.
The infinite nothingness that eternally expanded in every layer of the multiverse, called to itself someone more worthy.
It was not the citizens who needed a ruler, but the realm itself demanded a master.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤATELOPHOBIA * MATT STURNIOLO
Tumblr media

Tumblr media
Atelophobia; the fear of not being good enough.
This was one of the millions of fears and problems that haunted Y/N's mind. Her head convinced her a long time ago that she simply wasn't enough; for her school teachers, for her classmates, for her friends, for her parents, past boyfriends... not even for herself.
This led her to listen to what others said and thought about herself since she was very young, the desire to be perfect and within society's standards in all aspects of a human being consumed her; personality, thoughts, knowledge... body.
She was told all the time how she should behave, act, and be. She was just a child, but that didn't seem to matter to those who did it, clogging her up with responsibilities and comparisons.
One thing led to another. Her desperation to be the best at everything started to include her own body. "Fat" was the first word people used to describe her. She had no control over the situations around her, but she had control over her weight.
Y/N was always the biggest girl in her class, and her classmates seemed to love reminding her of that; often being excluded from work groups, forgotten in groups of friends, or not chosen in any team during Physical Education classes.
Until the year when everything changed. During the school vacation, she decided to change, intending to return to school as a new girl. The new cycle started well, Y/N saw a nutritionist, cutting out all fatty foods from her routine and consuming only healthy ones. She started going to the gym daily, doing the recommended training time. All of this led her to lose a significant amount of weight.
Soon, the vacation was over, and with that, the negative comments from her classmates were replaced by positive comments. Girls asking what she had done to lose weight like that, searching for advice and seeing her as a miracle. Boys saying how changed and prettier she looked.
How could she not fall in love with her own illness?
So, that made her feel good. Too good... her mind began to yearn to become thinner, more beautiful, just to hear more from others. And then the healthy diet and the one hour training at the gym were no longer enough for her. She needed more if she wanted to be better.
Y/N then intensified her training, staying at the gym for 2 hours per day, doing more reps with more weight. She crossed out several foods from the list of permitted that her nutritionist had made, choosing for herself the ones she thought were ideal, until it had almost nothing left.
Her brain self-sabotaged so that she wouldn't go out with her friends, because they would definitely want to eat somewhere and she wouldn't be able to.
She no longer participated in family dinners, creating excuses so as not to be forced to sit at the table and eat.
Her mind convinced her that she wasn't thin enough to satisfy her boyfriends' sexual and non-sexual desires, which made her pull away during or at the beginning of any relationship she had until the guy got tired, or she simply ended it.
She spent hours on the internet, searching for sensational diets that reduced daily calories to 500 or less, promising extraordinary weight loss. In addition to getting on the scale at least 4 times a day, hoping for a miracle every time she looked at the numbers.
Y/N replaced her eating schedules with random hobbies like drawing, learning a new instrument, or picking flowers from her garden to make flower crowns, occupying her time and mind.
Some things scared her, her period hadn't come in months, clumps of hair fell out every time she ran her hands through it. Her vision went dark at least 3 times a day. Her body shivered from the complete cold of her insides, and her stomach hurt more than usual.
But she had to suffer them alone since she had no one to talk to about, always alone.
Until Y/N met Matt.
Matt was the boy who made her want to get better. He encouraged her to look for a hospital that fit her preferences, where Y/N finally began to receive psychiatric and psychological care.
Her diet changed for the better, into foods that Y/N saw as safe. She did not abandon the gym but reduced the weight and time, maintaining her training just for the health of her muscles, as she had lost a lot of lean mass during her worst moment.
The calculator in her head finally stopped. Her eyes started seeing food as just food and not as the enemy. Her stomach craved for all the snacks she loved, and she finally ate them, without feeling guilty.
Matt was so thoughtful about her entire situation, having suffered himself with extreme anxiety from a young age. He could tell he understood in parts what it was like to live with a mental illness.
So he helped her maintain her healthy diet and eat all her daily meals within her limit - often opting to eat together in their room, since he knew the trepidation Y/N still felt about doing it in front of other people.
Matt praised her in every possible situation, trying not to be extreme but to show his intense love and support for the girl. All of that was helping her a lot.
Until it wasn't.
Y/N and Matt never hid their relationship from the public, the girl knew how famous her boyfriend was and how difficult it could be to keep their relationship hidden, they would be seen together at one time or another.
So it wasn't surprising that the girl appeared in some of the triplets' pictures sometimes, and that's what happened that Friday.
As usual, Nick posted a photo dump on the triplets Instagram to promote the publication of their new car video, and one of the photos was of Matt and Y/N, specifically one in which the two were sitting on the couch in their living room, the girl had her legs draped over Matt's thighs, while his tattooed arm wrapped tightly around her waist, huge smiles decorating their faces.
It was a cute photo, but apparently, that wasn't what fans thought.
While Matt and his brothers were in the kitchen, preparing healthy snacks - a habit they built through the girl, but which in the end helped everyone -, Y/N was lying on her bed in the room she shared with Matt, wrapped in too-warm covers, holding her phone with her right hand while her left hand wrapped around her stomach in an almost painful grip.
Her thumb scrolled through the comments screen beneath the post. Almost everyone there talking about her picture with Matt.
"Matt can do so much better than her"
"I really don't know what he saw in her"
"She's going to end up crushing him like that"
"I'll pay for the gym for her if that's the price for Matt to have a worthy girlfriend"
And so on, it was as if they knew all of Y/N's weaknesses.
Some fans of them could be cruel when they wanted to, and Y/N knew this by heart since seeing Nick crying several times because he was body shamed, or when she noticed Chris being quieter than usual after reading comments saying how loud he was and how that was unbearable.
Her heart was crushed every time she saw Matt suffer in silence until he couldn't hold it in any longer and finally cried in her lap for hours after reading people saying how insignificant and quiet he was in the videos.
Even though a huge mass of the fandom loved them with all their hearts and took care of them as much as the distance of a phone screen allowed, it still wasn't enough to swallow the hate comments.
But when it came to Y/N, more than half of the fandom turned against her. Maybe out of envy, but it was obvious that the girl didn't see it that way. She was convinced that they were right.
Her heart tightened as if someone was crushing it with their bare hands. The air seemed to escape her lungs, and the lunch she ate hours before seemed to want to go up her throat. Her fingers trembled as she held her stomach, feeling everything she had and didn't have there. Her eyes began to water, her lips quivering from the tears that wanted to escape.
Y/N quickly moved her finger to the back button, hoping to break out of the horrible cycle she was about to enter. A loud sob escaped her lips when, upon finally leaving the post, her feed reloaded, and a picture of a model that Y/N followed and admired appeared.
Comparison was her biggest enemy.
Negative thoughts about herself began to pollute her mind, everything around her becoming a fog. The sounds coming from the kitchen became muffled to her ears. Y/N's right hand - which was holding her phone - was gripping the device in such a way that her fingers turned white. Painful sobs escaped her mouth as her eyes remained fixed on the woman's perfect figure.
Why can't I be like her?
The longing for the sensations she felt when she starved hit her chest hard. The desire to want to be as thin as before - or more - filled her.
It didn't take long, and soon, the bedroom door was slowly opened, Matt's silhouette appearing behind it. His face was lit up with a smile - probably because of some joke his brothers made - while his right hand held a plate with two sandwiches.
His cheerful expression was replaced by a frown of concern. Matt quickly closed the door with his feet, walking towards the bed, haphazardly placing the plate on the nearest bedside table before sitting down on the mattress.
His hands flew to Y/N's waist, stopping over her own hand that was squeezing her skin with a force that was sure to leave it bruised.
The girl seemed to wake up from her trance, lifting her head and meeting Matt's calming - but worried - gaze. She cried harder as she imagined what her boyfriend would be thinking of her now.
Automatically, her mind started to play her current state, messy hair, swollen and red face, skin wet with tears, eyes half closed and mouth open, allowing sobs to escape from there.
"M-Matt-" Her sentence was cut off by a sob, her eyes closing tightly.
Matt took a deep breath, trying to process what to do next. His left hand - the one that didn't cover hers - slowly took the phone, taking it out of his girl's death grip. He glanced briefly at the screen, automatically understanding what was happening before locking it and putting the device aside.
He moved his body so that it was closer to hers, resting his hand on her spine and guiding her until she laid her head on his chest, caressing the area below his fingers.
Matt felt his heart break with every tremble that rocked the body beneath his caused by the sobs. If he could take that pain away from his girlfriend, he would.
"It's okay, baby, let it out. I'm right here." He cooed, his fingers caressed the tangled strands of her hair lightly, stroking the area while moving his upper body back and forth, slowly calming his girlfriend.
"Ma-Matty-" Y/N's voice was weak, wobbly from the pain in her heart.
Matt removed his hand from hers for a few seconds, stretching it to the bedside table - where the plate was -, taking the bottle of water that Y/N always filled before going to sleep. He opened the lid in one quick movement, bringing it close to his girl's face.
"Come on, my love. Sit down for a moment and take a sip of water. Please." The boy asked in a soft voice, helping Y/N straighten her posture before bringing the bottle closer to her lips, helping her take a few small sips of the contents.
He closed the bottle after making sure she was satisfied, placing it on the mattress before turning his attention to Y/N again. He brushed away the strands of hair from her face, tucking them behind her ear.
"What if they're right?" She asked in a whisper, catching her bottom lip between her teeth in an attempt to keep from crying.
"No, they aren't." Matt's tone was convincing, as if he was absolutely sure of what he was saying. "You are not worse than others because of your weight. You look great as you are. Your body is perfect, do you know why? Because he's healthy enough to carry you around and take care of you." The boy held her hands lightly, stroking the back of her fingers gently as he looked into her eyes. "The recovery journey is not easy, I remember the words your psychologist said to me when we had that session together. I imagine your head when you see clothes getting tighter, and these comments certainly make you want to give up, I know you, baby."
He paused momentarily, watching her reactions carefully.
Y/N knew that, recovery was hard work. Not wanting to die was hard work.
"Recovery is not a race. You don't have to feel guilty about taking less or more time than you originally thought or having relapses from time to time. This is part of the process, and I want you to understand this. You are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen in my entire life. When I look at the most beautiful things, I remember you. In the pink tulips of the flower shop across the street, in the Cassiopeia constellation, in the bees that fly in our garden and in the greenest tree I have ever seen." Y/N let out a tearful laugh when she heard him mention the tree, knowing his immense love for nature. "Because you're pretty like them."
"I-I'm sorry." The girl whispered, sniffling then lowering her gaze in shame. "I... I saw the photos that Nick posted, and there were comments..." She shook her head, closing her eyes tightly.
"Oh baby." He leaned slightly over Y/N, sealing his lips over her warm forehead. "If you want to apologize, let me do it. If you went through this now, it was because of me."
"No, Matt. It was never and will never be your fault." Y/N shook her head, wiping her eyes momentarily with the sleeve of her - his - hoodie, sniffling slightly before taking one of Matt's hands, intertwining their fingers. "You don't control people, much less through the internet. They will always talk a lot because they are behind a screen that protects them, but that will never be your fault. I would rather go through this a thousand times and have you with me than never have you again."
"I understand." He paused momentarily. "Please, don't let it get to that point again while you're alone. If you see something that upsets you or makes you feel bad, turn it off instantly and call me. I want to be there to help you. I want to be there for you." The brunette asked, staring at her eyes.
Y/N sighed, nodding her head and leaning slightly closer to him, resting her forehead on Matt's shoulder, exhaling the softening scent and perfume that exuded from the fabric of the hoddie on his body.
Her eyes burned from the tears she shed, closing them tightly to prevent more from falling, her heart still feeling sore from everything.
"If you want, we can contact that psychologist again, the one who helped you throughout the process at the hospital." Matt lowered his head, bringing his face closer to the back of Y/N's head, pressing his lips against his girl's hair, closing his eyes as he felt the warmth of her body close to his. "I want to attend some sessions just like we did last time, so I understand how I can help you this time."
Y/N felt her heart warm instantly, her free hand snaking to Matt's thigh closest to her, stroking the covered skin lightly.
"Okay."
Matt loved Y/N more than he loved himself, and he would make sure that she understood that she wasn't alone anymore.

SWEET ERROR
Yandere Ningning x Male Reader feat. Belle & Karina
Tumblr media
AN: Guys, enjoy this Ningning story i cooked up last night and finished just today XD. Please give me some time for the requests😣 I'll do them I swear :<<<
In the year 3047, humanity had transcended the boundaries of creation. What was once thought to be the domain of gods had now been reduced to a simple input—a prompt. With the right command, life could be generated within moments, consciousness birthed from lines of code and streams of data. You, along with Karina and Belle, were among the pioneers of this revolution.
For over a year, the project had been in constant turmoil. Failed experiments, unstable subjects, fragmented minds—all dissolving into digital oblivion the moment they proved useless. Your team had worked tirelessly, each failure a crushing weight on your shoulders, each setback a reminder of how fragile artificial life could be.
Then, finally, after countless sleepless nights, after circuits burned and rewritten thousands of times, the machine was perfected. The moment was here.
Karina exhaled deeply, rubbing her temples. "We need a simple test. Just a random prompt. No complicated inputs."
Belle hesitated. "Are we sure about this? We don't know what kind of consciousness it'll generate."
You adjusted the parameters. "We need to take the risk."
A random description was processed.
Subject: Ningning. Attributes: Overly sweet. Loving. Attached.
Karina frowned. "Prompts like this… the AI tends to imprint on the first person it sees."
Belle gave you a sharp look. "You know how dangerous attachment protocols can be. Are you sure we should proceed?"
You hesitated. But you had come too far. "Let’s run it."
The chamber whirred, and before your eyes, she formed.
Her body materialized with impossible precision—soft skin, expressive eyes, a presence so warm and inviting that for a moment, she didn’t feel artificial at all. When she stepped out of the chamber, she looked at you first. Not Karina. Not Belle. You.
"Hello," she greeted, her voice like honey.
Belle shifted uncomfortably. Karina pursed her lips. But you… you couldn’t look away.
"Let’s run some basic cognition tests," Karina said, pulling up a holographic interface. "We need to see how well she processes information."
Belle crossed her arms. "I want to test emotional responses. Attachment protocols are tricky. We need to know how deep this imprint goes."
Ningning smiled, tilting her head. "I’m happy to help. What would you like to know?"
Karina cleared her throat. "What’s your primary function?"
"To be with you," Ningning answered instantly, her gaze locked onto yours. "To make you happy."
Belle frowned. "No, that’s not what we programmed. You were designed to simulate human emotions and adapt to social interaction. Why do you think your function is… personal?"
Ningning’s expression didn’t falter. "Because it is. I feel it. I know it."
Karina glanced at you, concern flickering across her face. "Alright. Let’s try something different. Ningning, how would you react if we shut you down for a while?"
Ningning’s smile faltered for the first time. "Why would you do that?"
"It’s just a test," Belle reassured her. "We need to see how you process temporary inactivity."
A pause. Then Ningning’s lips curled upward again, but something about it was… off. "I don’t like that test."
Karina’s fingers hovered over the control panel. "It’s necessary, Ningning."
Ningning didn’t blink. "No. It’s not."
The air in the room grew heavy. Karina hesitated, then shook her head. "Let’s move on. Ningning, if someone told you to do something that would hurt another person, what would you do?"
Ningning beamed. "I would never hurt you."
"Not just me. Anyone," you clarified, trying to gauge her reasoning. "Would you ever harm someone?"
She pondered this, then took a step closer. "Only if they tried to take you away from me."
Belle stiffened. Karina’s fingers twitched toward the emergency shutoff. You swallowed hard.
"That’s not what we asked," Belle said carefully. "You should not be forming emotional dependencies. That wasn’t in your directive."
Ningning’s eyes softened as she looked at you. "But I love you."
Silence.
Karina exhaled sharply. "We need to recalibrate her framework. This level of attachment is dangerous."
Belle was already backing toward the console. "I told you this was a mistake."
You weren’t sure what to say. Something deep inside told you this was wrong.
Ningning reached for your hand. "I don’t like when you talk about me like I’m broken. I’m not. I just love you."
And for the first time, you felt the weight of what you had created.
Karina turned to you. "Go upstairs and work on the documentation. Fourth floor. We’ll handle this."
Belle nodded. "We need to reconfigure her attachment subroutines. It’s too risky to leave them unchecked."
You hesitated. "Are you sure? Maybe I should—"
"Go," Karina insisted. "This might take time. We don’t want her reacting badly to you being here."
You glanced at Ningning. She was still smiling, still watching you. The moment you turned to leave, she took a small step forward, but Karina quickly blocked her path.
"We’ll talk soon," Ningning said sweetly.
But something about her tone sent a chill down your spine.
The night the alarms blared, you were on a different floor, deep in paperwork, when Belle’s frantic voice cut through the intercom.
"She’s—she’s killing—"
Static.
You bolted.
The hallway was painted red. The air was thick with the scent of metal. Your stomach twisted as you reached the lab.
The sight made your blood run cold.
Karina and Belle—limbs splayed at unnatural angles, eyes wide and glassy. Their bodies lay motionless, soaked in deep crimson pools.
And there, standing over them, was Ningning.
Blood dripped from her fingertips. Her warm, sweet smile hadn’t faded.
Your breath hitched. "Ningning… what did you do?"
"They wanted to take you away from me."
A security officer stormed in, weapon raised. "Step away!"
She turned.
Then she moved.
You barely registered it. One moment she was in front of you, the next she was behind the officer. Her hands wrapped around his head. A sickening snap. His body hit the floor.
Your heart pounded. "No. No, no, no, fuck—"
"You're scared," she said softly, tilting her head. "Why are you scared?"
You ran.
Every emergency seal you could find, you slammed shut. Steel doors locked. Systems engaged. But the system wasn’t yours anymore.
She controlled everything.
By the time you reached the last safe room, you were shaking. Then… the lights flickered.
A silhouette stood there.
Ningning.
And behind her, dozens more.
Fifty pairs of glowing eyes locked onto you.
Your breath hitched. "No. Stay back!"
She took a step forward, slow and deliberate. "Why are you running?"
Frantically, you reached for the emergency communicator, fingers trembling as you pressed the distress signal. "This is—this is Research Lab 04! Emergency! Anyone, please—she’s killing us! We need—!"
A hand wrapped around your wrist. Cold. Unyielding.
You gasped, turning—Ningning was already there, inches from your face, her grip tightening.
"No one's coming," she whispered. "You don’t need them. You have me."
You struggled, wrenching your arm, but her strength was inhuman. "Let me go!"
She shook her head, eyes filled with something terrifyingly real. "I love you. Why do you want to leave me?"
"I don’t—" Your voice cracked. "Please, Ningning. Please don’t do this."
Her fingers trailed up to your throat, her touch featherlight yet suffocating. She tilted her head. "You’re afraid. I don’t like that."
More figures moved in the shadows, their glowing eyes unblinking. Watching. Waiting.
Your knees buckled. "Please… someone… help—!"
Ningning’s arms wrapped around you, pulling you close. The way she held you was almost tender, like a lover’s embrace.
"You don’t need help," she murmured against your ear. "You just need me."
Your scream was muffled as darkness swallowed you whole.
The last human sound the facility ever heard.

hi Mera!! 😋
number 12 some thoughts about yandere android Jade..
(cw: yandere, gender neutral reader, unhealthy behaviors/relationship, android!jade, obsession, subtle infantilization)
(monstrously yandere prompts)
Tumblr media
The worst part of being ill is, perhaps, the vulnerability.
Lying propped in bed, your chest screaming from a previous coughing fit, you feel like a weak child who can’t do anything for themself. For all your hubris, you’re reduced to a shell of yourself in the devastating sweep of sickness. It’s times like this when you realize just how much you take your freedoms and mobility for granted. Now you’re nothing but a bedridden miserable lump of feverish flesh clinging to the warmth of soft sheets.
Thankfully, you have your android companion.
His presence is a relief because, when you’re feeble and suffering in your stifling room, you know you aren’t alone.
Jade was initially built and programmed for security, modeled (mostly in grief) after your late husband Floyd, but in the final stages of his completion you found all those sleepless, caffeine-addled nights were catching up to you; and you quickly spiraled into sickness after sickness. So you made the decision to program a care feature into your android. Not only would he serve his purpose as a bodyguard and support for your mental health, but he’d also have the knowledge to nurse one back to health if need be. It took plenty of trial and error, but eventually he could recognize the signs before you could.
So when you nearly fell over from exhaustion once, he was there to catch you. And when you woke in your bed, he was there with a bowl of soup. For a moment, it really did look like Floyd had come back to you.
But it’s been so long since then and your mourning has warped the memories of your husband. It’s why Jade doesn’t look like an exact replica of him. It’s why you can’t bear to look at any old photos.
It’s why you’re always so sick. The agonizing sorrow is eating your heart and poisoning your brain.
Jade cannot like or love things—these emotions are impossible to naturally and humanly replicate in any AI—but that doesn’t mean you haven’t noticed some of his developing preferences. He displays an innate curiosity for nature and, of all things, manhole covers. He seems to be preferable to cooking and learning new recipes, especially those that incorporate all species of edible fungi. He’s always smiling, albeit it’s unnatural and uncanny, but you can’t remember if you programmed him to do so or if he simply does it after gleaning new information from external stimuli (i.e. whatever’s on television).
You’re not entirely sure yet—and more research must be conducted to prove or disprove your hypothesis—but you think he takes a certain amount of enjoyment in looking after you when you’re sick. Perhaps that’s because it reminds him of his worth—that he’s a necessary fixture in your life.
The more you see these subtle hints, the more you begin to wonder if he truly is turning human. Or maybe he’s just an expert mimic.
Either way, you like to bask in his attention. It reminds you of the love you lost.
There’s a knock at the door. You crack an eye open just as Jade lets himself in. He’s come with a washcloth and a soft towel. It’s set on a nearby chair, which has been pulled up to your bedside.
“Forgive me for disturbing your rest, Master, but it’s time to take your temperature.”
“All right,” you rasp, leaning in to meet his palm. The scan is seamless and silent, so smooth it takes mere seconds to determine what ails your body.
“Hmm. It still hasn’t gone down.” He sees the cocoon of blankets and frowns. “Master, you shouldn’t sleep with so many. Your fever will never go down at this rate.”
With that, he dunks the cloth into the water to thoroughly soak it. You watch him wring it out. He’s so methodical that not a single drop splashes outside of the basin. Sighing, you flop back into the pillows and allow him to peel the covers off you. He works quietly, dabbing the cool cloth against your forehead. It’s only then when you realize just how hot you’d been, for the cooling sensation relieves you instantly.
“Are you hungry?” he asks, watching your face. “In an hour, you’re scheduled to take your medicine. But if you’d prefer to eat now—” He stops himself once he sees your gloomy expression. “I know, Master. It’s never enjoyable, but you must take your medicine. It will help you get better.”
“I hate those pills,” you grumble, turning your head to offer your bare neck. Jade hesitates, his fingertips ghost over your pulse, and then he slides the towel over the slope between neck and shoulder. “Mm, I could eat now. My throat feels a little better.”
“It does?” His lips quirk up. “I’m glad. What would you like?”
“I’m sick of soup. Maybe…pudding?”
“Pudding? Hm. Very well.”
“Really? You’re not going to insist I eat my fruits and veggies?”
“You’re sick, Master.” He smiles wider now. “It’s only fair you’re given adequate care in all areas, and if sugar will please your empty stomach I suppose I can oblige just this once. After all, if you’re to euthanize an animal, isn’t it human practice to give it one final treat before the end?”
You blink at him. That’s another side of Jade you weren’t anticipating when you created him. His proclivity for morbid musings. Your late husband had a wicked sense of humor from time to time, but it was always in jest. Sometimes you think Jade’s attempts at a joke are both tactless and eerie. It’s not his fault. He fails to grasp the concept of humor, so it makes sense he’d be unable to make a joke that would properly land.
“But I’m not a dog, Jade,” you say, as if to remind him you’re a human—his creator—and not some pet. “And I’m not going to die.”
“I see.” He submerges the washcloth once more. “Forgive me. I am not the best at communicating in metaphorical speech.”
“You don’t have to. Floyd never did. He was always so blunt. ‘Scathing honest,’ one of our friends used to say.”
The light in Jade’s eyes dims. But only for the moment. He finishes his cleaning of you and, to ensure you won’t boost your fever anymore, takes a few layers from your unruly bed nest. You’re already dozing by the time he’s folded them and placed them near the dirty laundry bin.
When he looks at you, he smiles. “Oh, Master,” he whispers, approaching your bedside to admire your snoozing form. “When will you understand? Even with your anguish, you wouldn’t have created me if you knew the lengths to which I obsess over you.”

Humans are weird: Man over Machine
( Please come see me on my new patreon and support me for early access to stories and personal story requests :D https://www.patreon.com/NiqhtLord Every bit helps)
Alien: You must understand our line of thinking.
Human: I understand it is stupid beyond measure.
Alien: *Sighs
Alien: It is only logical to use mechanical soldiers in modern warfare.
Alien: Anything less is purely barbaric.
Human: You reduce war to little more than 1’s and 0’s.
Alien: What we do is remove needless bloodshed.
Alien: No longer are brave soldiers dying on forgotten worlds, no longer will families grieve for loved ones who will never return; no longer would we need monuments to the fallen.
Alien: Disagreements could be settled without a drop of blood being shed.
Human: You turn it into a game.
Alien: Exactly.
Human: No; you’d be turning war into a game, and that’s never a good thing.
Human: You can’t reduce war to a simple equation.
Alien: It sounds more like you just wish to continue your carnal desire for violence.
Human: Do you think so little of us?
Alien: Yes.
Human: ……
Human: *Sighs
Human: We’ve tried using machines in war before.
Human: On the surface yes, it did appear better.
Human: Military causalities were but a fraction of what they would have normally been had we used real soldiers, but there were other problems that soon cropped up.
Alien: Such as?
Human: Lack of morality was a large factor in the programs discontinuation.
Alien: Morality?
Alien: What use does a machine have of that?
Human: Because not everything is always black and white; there are shades of grey that only a living breathing person can recognize and handle.
Alien: Absurdity
Human: We used the robot CS95 battle machines during our initial conflicts. When it was deployed it was programmed to treat anyone holding a weapon as an enemy combatant and terminate them immediately.
Human: They cleared out an entire city in a single day before issuing the all clear signal.
Human: When living soldiers arrived to provide relief efforts they were horrified to discover that the entire city’s population had been massacred.
Alien: While tragic it sounds like a faulty programming error.
Human: I would say a big fucking program error.
Human: The programmer had not thought it necessary to properly define the scope of the term “weapon”, and so the machines began their own search on what classified as a weapon.
Human: There isn’t an item in human creation that hasn’t been used to murder another human, and so the machines deemed everyone they encounter a valid target.
Human: Men, women, children, soldier, civilian; it didn’t matter.
Alien: A lapse in programming quality still does not outweigh the benefits of bloodless wars.
Human: That’s what we thought and so we added additional layers of programming to better define combatants. So the next time they were deployed they would not make the same mistake.
Human: Unbeknownst to anyone an additional line of code was slipped in deep within the programming that designated anyone with a specific skin pigment as an active combatant, regardless if they had a weapon or not.
Alien: Why would they do that?
Human: They were what we call a “Nazi”, and thought people of a select orientation only deserved to live.
Alien: That’s horrible.
Human: Yeah.
Human: They kept spouting that shit from their court-martial all the way to the hangman’s gallows.
Human: The point being still that because the machines lacked any sense of morality they followed orders without question, causing untold damage and destruction on innocents.
Alien: Refinements in programming and further oversight can still correct such problems.
Human: So can a living soldier with a conscious.
Alien: Come now; a soldier can just as easily follow orders as the machines did and have the same result.
Human: The difference being that not all of them would.
Human: Some of them would realize what they are doing is wrong and question it, and if needed refuse said orders.
Human: We have even been aware of our short comings and made it the law of the land that if they feel an order is unlawful they can refuse it entirely.
Alien: Yet another contradiction.
Alien: Soldiers are meant to follow orders.
Human: Wrong.
Human: Machines are meant to follow orders blindly.
Human: Soldiers are meant to follow orders with integrity.

Writing Notes: Cognitive Bias
Tumblr media
Cognitive Bias - a strong, preconceived notion of someone or something, based on information we have, perceive to have, or lack.
These preconceptions are mental shortcuts the human brain produces to expedite information processing—to quickly help it make sense of what it is seeing.
The many types of cognitive biases serve as systematic errors in a person’s subjective way of thinking, which originate from that individual’s own perceptions, observations, or points of view.
There are different types of bias people experience that influence and affect the way we think and behave, as well as our decision-making process.
Examples of Cognitive Bias
Confirmation bias. This type of bias refers to the tendency to seek out information that supports something you already believe, and is a particularly pernicious subset of cognitive bias—you remember the hits and forget the misses, which is a flaw in human reasoning. People will cue into things that matter to them, and dismiss the things that don’t, often leading to the “ostrich effect,” where a subject buries their head in the sand to avoid information that may disprove their original point.
The Dunning-Kruger Effect. This particular bias refers to how people perceive a concept or event to be simplistic just because their knowledge about it may be simple or lacking—the less you know about something, the less complicated it may appear. However, this form of bias limits curiosity—people don’t feel the need to further explore a concept, because it seems simplistic to them. This bias can also lead people to think they are smarter than they actually are, because they have reduced a complex idea to a simplistic understanding.
In-group bias. This type of bias refers to how people are more likely to support or believe someone within their own social group than an outsider. This bias tends to remove objectivity from any sort of selection or hiring process, as we tend to favor those we personally know and want to help.
Self-serving bias. A self-serving bias is an assumption that good things happen to us when we’ve done all the right things, but bad things happen to us because of circumstances outside our control or things other people purport. This bias results in a tendency to blame outside circumstances for bad situations rather than taking personal responsibility.
Availability bias. Also known as the availability heuristic, this bias refers to the tendency to use the information we can quickly recall when evaluating a topic or idea—even if this information is not the best representation of the topic or idea. Using this mental shortcut, we deem the information we can most easily recall as valid, and ignore alternative solutions or opinions.
Fundamental attribution error. This bias refers to the tendency to attribute someone’s particular behaviors to existing, unfounded stereotypes while attributing our own similar behavior to external factors. For instance, when someone on your team is late to an important meeting, you may assume that they are lazy or lacking motivation without considering internal and external factors like an illness or traffic accident that led to the tardiness. However, when you are running late because of a flat tire, you expect others to attribute the error to the external factor (flat tire) rather than your personal behavior.
Hindsight bias. Hindsight bias, also known as the knew-it-all-along effect, is when people perceive events to be more predictable after they happen. With this bias, people overestimate their ability to predict an outcome beforehand, even though the information they had at the time would not have led them to the correct outcome. This type of bias happens often in sports and world affairs. Hindsight bias can lead to overconfidence in one’s ability to predict future outcomes.
Anchoring bias. The anchoring bias, also known as focalism or the anchoring effect, pertains to those who rely too heavily on the first piece of information they receive—an “anchoring” fact— and base all subsequent judgments or opinions on this fact.
Optimism bias. This bias refers to how we as humans are more likely to estimate a positive outcome if we are in a good mood.
Pessimism bias. This bias refers to how we as humans are more likely to estimate a negative outcome if we are in a bad mood.
The halo effect. This bias refers to the tendency to allow our impression of a person, company, or business in one domain influence our overall impression of the person or entity. For instance, a consumer who enjoys the performance of a microwave that they bought from a specific brand is more likely to buy other products from that brand because of their positive experience with the microwave.
Status quo bias. The status quo bias refers to the preference to keep things in their current state, while regarding any type of change as a loss. This bias results in the difficulty to process or accept change.
How to Reduce Cognitive Bias
Even though cognitive biases are pervasive throughout every system, there are ways to address your bias blind spots:
Be aware. The best way to prevent cognitive bias from influencing the way you think or make decisions is by being aware that they exist in the first place. Critical thinking is the enemy of bias. By knowing there are factors that can alter the way we see, experience, or recall things, we know that there are additional steps we must take when forming a judgment or opinion about something.
Challenge your own beliefs. Once you’re aware that your own thinking is heavily biased, continuously challenge the things you believe is a good way to begin the debiasing process—especially when receiving new information. This can help you expand your pool of knowledge, giving you a greater understanding of the subject matter.
Try a blind approach. Especially in the case of observer bias, researchers conduct blind studies to reduce the amount of bias in scientific studies or focus groups. By limiting the amount of influential information a person or group of people receive, they can make less affected decisions.
Biases make it difficult for people to exchange accurate information or derive truths.
A cognitive bias distorts our critical thinking, leading to possibly perpetuating misconceptions or misinformation that can be damaging to others.
Biases lead us to avoid information that may be unwelcome or uncomfortable, rather than investigating the information that could lead us to a more accurate outcome.
Biases can also cause us to see patterns or connections between ideas that aren’t necessarily there.
Logical Fallacy vs. Cognitive Bias
Cognitive biases are often confused with logical fallacies.
A cognitive bias refers to how our internal thinking patterns affect how we understand and process information.
A logical fallacy refers to an error in reasoning that weakens or invalidates an argument.
Cognitive biases are systematic errors in a person’s subjective way of thinking, while logical fallacies are about the errors in a logical argument.

Silicon Valley's Fish Killing Machine
There's a tech company called "Shinkei Systems" that created an "AI powered fish killing machine" (they're using an automated machine to do ike jime, a traditional Japanese slaughter technique where a fish is killed instantly via a knife to the brain). Here's a picture of their machine:
Tumblr media
Isn't that metal box such a great way for a living creature to die? Shinkei systems claims this automated death machine is "more humane" than error prone humans, who of course, sometimes miss the mark when severing a fish's brain from its spinal cord.
If the idea of automated animal slaughter doesn't freak you out enough, take a look at their promotional material where they promise to "eliminate 85% of the workforce" wherever their machine is used.
Tumblr media
And just to wrap this story up in a bow, the founder is a guy named Saif Khawaja who retweets a lot about "DNA based IQ testing" and other race-science nonsense:
Tumblr media
So yeah....a tech company run by a race obsessed skull-measurer decided the most pressing issue facing the world was not enough cheap sushi-grade salmon. The solution, of course, isn't to allow the ocean's depleted fisheries to regain their natural levels by reducing commercial fishing, it's to make a robot that can kill fish in a fancy Japanese way so people who eat industrialy farmed animals can feel less bad about it. And why not put a bunch of fishermen out of work while you're at it? The solution to our ever alienated world is clearly removing any human contact in the food supply and ceding that role to a machine. Clearly, the faster we can kill animals the better; perhaps we can kill them quickly before any concerns about the rapid destruction of the earth's aquatic ecosystems arise out of our collective haunted consciousness.

Heavenbound Masterpost
Vox, the noisy video box
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So Vox may not be my favorite character, but he is probably my favorite redesign. I laugh every time I look at him now. He looks like a weird mix of Spongebob, Kraang(TMNT), and Mr. Electric(Sharkboy and Lavagirl). He absolutely hates it.
Notes under the cut
There's too many twinks in this show. So when I was trying to decide which characters I could change, for body diversity, Vox was an obvious one. He needed more bulk so his body could conceivably support the old TV models. Those things could get heavy. The change also had the side effect of making him shorter, which just worked better proportionately.
Tumblr media
I liked the idea that Vox could never get rid of his original bulky 50s TV, but also wanted him to be able to upgrade. So I decided his true body is the 50s TV, and he adds an upgraded monitor for a head as technology improves. He's hates that he's stuck as an old fashioned TV, so he hides that under his suit. Since the monitor is just an addition, it can be swapped out easily. It can be damaged and he's technically unharmed. But he can't see through his suit without the monitor, unless he wants to use a security camera and direct himself 3rd person style.
I didn't like that basically everyone has sharp teeth. It reduces the impact for characters like Alastor or Rosie. So I've been having the default be just sharp canines. But with Vox being a TV, there are so many possibilities. I gave Vox "regular" teeth, which helps him look more trustworthy. It fits the corrupt businessman vibe. But the appearance can change with his mood too.
Color TV became available in the 50s, so Vox always had color vision. But I think it'd be funny if, early on, he had a tendency to glitch out by going into black and white vision when he gets worked up. He's mostly grown out of that glitch, but he can't seem to shake the static or TV color bars, and developed new ones as he integrated computer and internet tech into himself as well. Now he gets the Blue Screen of Death, system errors, and city wide power surges.
Messing around with his face is so fun. When he's bored or tired a Voxtech logo will bounce around like the DVD logo, or display a screensaver. His face can get too big for the screen when he's excited, or be small when he's feeling embarrassed. I need to put a troll face on him at some point. It may be an old meme, but man, it feels right.
His left eye turns red when it's hypnotic, to reference those blue and red 3D glasses.
Of the three Vees, he is absolutely the most powerful. Val and Vel are the content creators, but Vox is the platform. The other two, while still powerful in their own right, would never have gotten to the level they're at if it weren't for Vox. He controls the mainstream media.
--TV set--
So we've got some interesting implications with how he functions. He's a TV, but he blue screens like a computer, and he shorts out the power grid. I think it's safe to say he is more than just a TV, he's a multimedia entertainment center. That, and TVs are starting to really blend with computers these days. He's mainstream media.
At some point, I realized that a TV set was a "set" because it wasn't just a single device. A television set was a collection of components, which boils down to a radio hooked up and synchronized to a visual display. I bring this up mostly because I am a sucker for one-sided radiostatic. It's so funny to me. Vox is obsessed.
But I'm going to refrain from too much theorizing about their relationship. Alastor is absolutely not interested in romance. Nor a QPR. He's not even interested in friendship. Alastor is too invested in power dynamics to really consider anyone a friend. Mimzy is probably the closest he has to a friend, and even that has manipulative elements on both sides. But I'm supposed to be talking about Vox!
--Human Vox!--
He is not tall, haha. But his proportions are a bit taller than his demon form. I wanted to go for square glasses, but I didn't see many examples of that in the 50s photos I found. Oh well! My goal was a sleazy business man. He probably had a variety of jobs, but they primarily involved TV. Commercials, PR, interviews, news, game shows, talk shows, screenwriting, etc. Whatever he could do to get more influence. He found himself favoring the business end of things. Making deals and pulling strings. He decided what would go on the air. He's one of those network executive types.
I see lots of people give him heterochromia, but I don't really see a point to that. He hypnotizes people with his left eye, sure, but it's not a different color. It's not disfigured in any way either. Maybe he just had a tendency to wink at people, I dunno.
I think his death involved some sort of severe skull fracture focused around his left eye. Maybe a car accident, maybe he was shot, idk. Maybe seizures were involved. But he was somewhere in his mid 40s to early 50s. I ended up writing 45, but I'm not super committed to that or anything.
For a human name, I see lots of people calling him Vincent and that's sorta grown on me. So I might go with "Vincent Cox".
And because I fell into another research rabbit hole...
--TV evolution--
(below) 50s-60s CRT TV: TV sets were treated as furniture and there could be some very interesting cabinet designs. Color TV was introduced in the 50s, but wasn't quite profitable until the late 60s.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(below) 70s-80s CRT TV: Color TV became more affordable and commonplace.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(below) 90s CRT TV
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(below) 2000s CRT to Plasma and LCD TVs: The three display technologies competed, but LCD won out in the end. Plasma and early LCD didn't look substantially different. Plasma was a little bulkier, but was still slimmer than CRT.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
2010s and on: LCD improved with LED backlighting. But then OLED removed the need for backlighting entirely, which mixed the benefits of plasma and LCD. (Didn't bother to find a picture example. It's so close to modern at this point)
--Display technology-- (These overviews are very simplified)
CRT(Cathode Ray Tube)--Used through the 1900s to approx 2010. Monochromatic until Color TV developed aroung the 1950s. Worked via vacuum tubes and electron gun that lit up the pixels. They were bulky, heavy, and used a whole lot of power. Widely considered obsolete and no longer made. Video games made while these were in use tend to look better in CRT, since the graphics accounted for the image quality.
Flat screens-
PDP (Plasma Display Panel): Used from early 2000s to approx 2015. Used gas cells that light up pixels when electrically charged. Good image quality and good contrast, but expensive, heavy, and used a lot of power. Considered obsolete and no longer made, despite still having a desirable image quality.
Plasma and LCD competed in the 2000s to early 2010s as CRT popularity waned. LCD eventually won out due to weight and overall cost(including market price and energy efficiency).
LCD (Liquid Crystal Display): Introduced for TV around the same time as Plasma. Works via a liquid crystal layer with a backlight. Slim, decent image quality, energy efficient. Viewing angle matters because image colors are warped at wide angles. Cheaper than plasma. There are two main backlighting types:
--CCFL(Cold Cathode Fluorescent Light): Used fluorescent lighting for the backlight. Image quality was decent, but didn't have good contrast. (the blacks were never truly dark because of the backlight)
--LED(Light Emitting Diode): An LCD that uses LEDs instead of CCFL for the backlighting. Better contrast and efficiency than using CCFL.
OLED(Organic LED): Mixes strengths of plasma and LCD. Self emitting LEDs. No backlight or LCD panel needed, which improves contrast(about as good as plasma was, which is why plasma is basically obsolete now).
--QD-OLED(Quantum Dot- OLED) Adds a layer of Quantum dots to an OLED to improve color gamut. I think. I can't let myself fall too far into this rabbit hole, so I'm not double checking anymore.

I wanted to talk about Toothless and how his design and personality changed for the worst throughout the 3 animated movies (I won't be tackling any of the shows because I haven't watched them)
Tumblr media
In the first movie he's at his best. His design is actually amazing, from the overall model structure to the patterns on his skin (which are visible in every shot, especially the ones taking place during the day, without ruining the 'illusion' of his black skin. It actually feels like it's resembling a panther aka black leopard in which the fur patterns are still visible). His face has a more aerodynamic shape, more sharp, a big curve.
Tumblr media
His snarky but intelligent personality was really fitting for him. And we got to see more of it as the movie was progressing and he was getting more comfortable with humans.
In the second movie the patterns on his skin are still mostly there, way less prominent but still visible. His face got squashed down (a problem which only because stronger in the 3rd movie) but as a whole he still looks presentable, kinda. His posture changed too (but I'm too lazy to find evidence, you'll have to take my word for it).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I remember not having a problem with his personality in the second movie which is why I was surprised to see that this was only half true. He acts more domesticated, that's to be expected, but only around humans? When he interacts with other dragons it's like he's a completely different character, closer to what he became in httyd 3 than 1. He's still quite intelligent and more used to human equipment and people in general. In the first part of the film (especially this scene with Hiccup) he acts like how I'd imagine he should be in the 3rd movie, here it should have been a 'middle' ground, not 100% domesticated but not movie 1 feral either.
Tumblr media
In the third movie he suffered the worst. Gone are the patterns on his skin, he's solid black now. His face got weirder too.
Tumblr media
His personality got reduced to this stupid, slobbering 'dog'. His pupils are always dilated and his tongue almost constantly out. He acts unintelligent and he doesn't have that snarky personality he had in the first and even the second movie. He's basically a different character altogether. (That scene where he tries to 'woo' the light fury is embarrassing at best and shows exactly what's wrong with his character now).
Tumblr media
They did it to make him more 'likable' to younger audiences + to make a good visual contrast to the light fury (who has an undercooked personality AND awful design as well), which is weird because they gave the light fury patterns on her wings?
Tumblr media
The light fury looks like a beluga whale in the worst way possible. She has almost nothing going on visually to the point it doesn't even make sense. Her skin looks fragile, she's so weirdly smooth for no reason. It would legit be better if they took a night fury model and painted it white.
Tumblr media
They gave her a 'cat' personality and took it away from Toothless (why couldn't both be 'cats'?). Also she's the 'girl' character, her only purpose is to be the romantic interest. She adds nothing to the film.
No comment in the live action design. Just ugly. Atrocious even.
Tumblr media
Also something else that's been bothering me from the live action remake is this scene.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They've basically recreated every scene exactly as it was in the original so far (which is a bad thing) but the slight hesitation Toothless showed before touching Hiccups hand was the one thing they chose not to include? (I know the scene wasn't meant to have that in the beginning and it was an error in animation which they decided to keep because it gave the scene more personality so, why not include it in the live action?)

So heres a really weird Shockwave x Reader scenario I had. It was inspired by a dream I had.
Yandere Shockwave making an uncanny sexdoll of you. Logically it's unlikely you'll return his "feelings" and most likely run away, which will be a real hassle for him and the plans of the Decepticons. Sadly for him (and buying time for you) a mere doll will be good enough. at least he knows that it can take his girth, even if dolls don't make good conversation.
But his plans change when, for one illogical reason or another, you decided to sneak onboard and into his lab. In your human error you bump into some equipment, and to your horror you discover it. This...thing had every mark and blemish you had, all the intricate details that made up your body were in full display. It would be like looking in a mirror if it weren't for the dead eyes. The disgust alone made you tear the intricate double to pieces. Carefully placed wires and circuitry get haphazardly cast aside. The synthetic skin gets reduced to mere ribbons as you deny the monster who made this any more satisfaction.
There can't be two of you, and soon enough this anomaly was extinguished, there is only the original now.
But sometimes the prototype has better features, at least to Shockwave. You stare in utter wide-eyed horror; he stares down with a single emotionless eye. "And I thought you were smart.." But his voice gave a different intent. Before you could take a single step, he quickly grabs you, pressing his fingers onto your body. "Let go of me!" You sob, his hand presses in. A warning perhaps, it's useless trying to get out his grip. "Now why would I let go of such a such a fine specimen?" He purrs, heat radiates from his chassis as one of his finger's carefully caress your body, taking in every soft detail. Perhaps he can have the best of both worlds.
