Hiii I love ur content sm ur an amazing writer <3 out of curiosity who’s your favorite driver to write for? Also do u get George Russell requests? there aren’t many fics for him in general im starving for that man 😫😭
hello lovely anon! thank you for the questions, i love getting them. they're fun to answer. for your first question, i don't have a particular fave. i find that i do gravitate a lot to max verstappen mostly because i get a lot of requests and secondly, i think that the situations can go either way. either whiny subby max who wants praise and affection or cold domineering mad max who sinks his fingers into the poor thing that crosses his path. i also really like toto wolff (daddy issues) as well. but i never receive a driver and go "ugh this guy". i just tend to get larger volumes of some over others.
i do have some george russell fics in the works, basically there are a lot of drafts right now. both for kink-o-ween, bakery prompts and the sunday uploads. basically i'm doing a lot of writing right now!! i just finished a bakery order for russell and he shows up a few times in my kink-o-ween fics next month! <3

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937)
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was the first production to be considered a “Walt Disney Animated Feature Film.” It was released in 1937 and has since received a 97% score from Rotten Tomatoes. This movie introduces Disney into its Golden Age as well as its fame.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is a masterfully constructed film, especially for its time. The artwork is reminiscent of the animating styles from the time period which involve initial sketches presented via a “flip book” method and then painted over with light coloration. This idea is exceptionally present in Snow White’s physical presentation as a character, especially with how her face is colorized. This stylistic usage makes the background art and characters appear very colorful and beautiful when they need to be, conveying emotion and scenery with every slide. Characteristically, Snow White is a very bland protagonist. She has little-to-no personality beyond a desire for freedom from her oppressive stepmother and a love for cleaning and song. The dwarves are obviously monolithic, and all the other characters remain nameless. Additionally, the construction of the Evil Queen could be read as rather harmful, being influenced from a bigoted perspective. The Evil Queen is arguably an antisemitic caricature, something consistent with a lot of Disney media. In her motivation (restoring her beauty at the expense of a young girl), methods (disguising herself using the dark arts), and appearance (dark hair, and post-disguise, elongated nose), the Evil Queen presents a multitude of stereotypically-antisemitic Jewish traits. It is important to be critical of this choice, especially considering both the time the movie was made and the source material (the Grimm Brothers’ fairy tales, which were utilized in Nazi Germany to reinforce that Jewish people were “villainous”). Beyond the Evil Queen, the dwarves themselves present a rather inappropriate caricature; one that infantilizes and mocks disabled people, specifically those with dwarfism or of short stature. Snow White makes multiple comments about how they are children (of course, this is before she has met them), and implies that they are incapable of taking care of themselves when she herself is a child. Finally, the ending of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is one I am personally conflicted with. From a literal sense, this is the perfect fairy tale ending: the charming prince escorts the helpless damsel away to safety after she has been confronted with a life-threatening peril and miraculously survived (with his aid, of course). From an analytical perspective, on the other hand, the ending is rather disturbing. It could be argued the Prince is an angel of death, whose presence symbolized to Snow White her inevitable demise. After she dies, he kisses her. She then must say goodbye to all the friends she has made before being carried away on a white horse to a mysterious castle in the clouds. He has essentially taken her to heaven. While I appreciate the beautiful symbolism of this possible scenario, I also find it rather disturbing.
In conclusion, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is a well-done movie that reflects the stances of its time period. It is relatively bland in comparison to some of the other Walt Disney Animated Feature Films of today, but still tells an interesting story worth watching at least once. Its symbolism is compelling, but the characters are lacking in depth and are either exceptionally monolithic or just downright disrespectful. Overall, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs receives 5.5 out of 10 stars from me, an average score. This decision was heavily influenced by its antisemitic and ableist portrayals as well as its boring characters (and the fact that it does not pass the Bechdel Test). That being said, the movie redeemed itself to an extent with its beautiful background scenery and impressive animation. The music was average, leading to half a point rather than a full point gain or reduction.
Summary of the film under the cut.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was a story originally published in the well-known compilation of Grimms’ Fairy Tales in 19th century Germany. The Disney adaptation features a young girl, Snow White, as its protagonist. She is the heir to a mysterious kingdom of which her stepmother is the queen. The queen, known solely as “The Evil Queen” in the film, is an exceptionally vain individual who utilizes the Magic Mirror to determine that she is truly the fairest in the land. Upon discovering that her young stepdaughter, Snow White, is actually the fairest, the Evil Queen sends the Huntsman to kill her; but he cannot do it. Snow White retreats into the woods where she discovers a cottage with no current residents, as they are out at work. The dwarves, recognized by names reminiscent of their primary personality trait, come home to a shockingly clean cottage and a new inhabitant. A short while after moving in with them, the Evil Queen discovers Snow White is in fact still alive and plots to kill her herself. She disguises herself as an old woman, poisons an apple, and sets off for the cottage, where she encounters Snow White alone. Snow White eats the apple despite cautions from the dwarves against interacting with strangers. The local forest animals witness Snow White’s poisoning and report back to the dwarves, who race to her rescue. They chase the Evil Queen up a cliffside, and in an attempt to fend them off, she tries to send a boulder down the cliff in their direction. However, this backfires and after being struck by lightning she subsequently falls to her death. Once the dwarves return they discover Snow White has succumbed to her fate. They hold a funeral for her, in which the Prince (known by some as “Prince Ferdinand” but this information is not canon to the film), shows up on a white horse. He kisses her, and she rises from her “sleeping death.” After saying goodbye to the dwarves and forest creatures, Snow White rides off into the distance with the Prince.

Goncharov coming third in tumblr's top 100 movies of 2023 is so damn funny. Imagine being a film studio exec who spent millions making some of the other 97 movies listed below it only to be beaten by a film that cost exactly zero dollars to make and doesn't exist

When i see people writing about chronic pain my heart just melts. As someone whose been struggling since I was 9 sometimes its hard to believe i could be in a position to be loved on the hard days where i can barely get out of bed.
The good days are good and the bad days are bad.
Your latest fic really made me appreciate your writing and how you are so inclusive.
Thank you SO much bunny! x
*puts this on the fridge to remember forever*
ahhh, thank you so much!! i'm so glad you loved it! i always try my best to be inclusive with my work! i've been suffering from chronic pain in both my legs due to hyper extensive knee muscles and what not. i wanted to write a little something, because the pain was super bad to the point of tears. i was trying to figure out how to have smut in it too, and i know that even the smallest movements can make it hurt so badly. so i was trying to combine the sweet and tender, with the erotic and saucy!
but thank you so, so much! i always to be as inclusive as possible, i know that a lot of times people feeling like they can't see themselves in the fiction so i try my best! <3

Reading Mockingjay as an adult is extra devastating because. Of course the plucky teenager and her ragtag friends aren't going to sneak into a government building to kill the president with a bow and arrow. That's absolutely ridiculous. It's the kind of thing that's only possible in the kind of propaganda that Coin developed. But she's so good at it that in some ways she tricks the reader into thinking that's the kind of story this is, too--even after 3 books reminding us that pretty much everything that Katniss does the second she volunteers is manipulated by adults pulling strings to make propaganda in some form or another.

Sleeping Beauty (1959)
Sleeping Beauty was released four years after Lady and the Tramp in 1959 and has a Rotten Tomatoes score of 89%. It is a continuation of the infamous princess movies produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios, presenting the audience with the third official “Disney Princess.” The movie is based on a story with a myriad of versions and retellings although it is most commonly attributed to Charles Parrault’s 1697 variant.
Sleeping Beauty is a magnificent continuation of the precedents set by Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Cinderella. This film, similar to the prior, has a remarkable and unique artstyle. Sleeping Beauty encapsulates the audience with backgrounds, introductions, and transitions similar to the likeness of stained glass windows and medieval artwork. It has a colorful cast of characters, both in personality and design. Unlike the flaws of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty features a prince with a distinct personality and admirable goals. Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip are both distinct and likable characters with their own personalities and designs. Sleeping Beauty is not without its flaws though. The “damsel-in-distress” trope that was first casually introduced by Cinderella and can also be seen in other Walt Disney princess movies is arguably most apparent in this film. Additionally, like in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the antagonist resembles multiple markers of an antisemitic caricature (as much as we all love Maleficent). Maleficent is implied to be a witch (despite only being canonically referred to as an “evil fairy”) who has horns and a hooked nose. These are three forms of antisemitic character design that are further amplified by Maleficent’s villain status. While not corrupted by greed or beauty standards, Maleficent also tries to kill, and at one time implicitly kidnap, the daughter of the king and queen, who is both the epitome of typical Eurocentric beauty standards and also a child. My final qualm with Sleeping Beauty is some of the idiotic actions taken to further drive the plot which inevitably overcomplicates everything. Essentially, some of the characters, particularly the fairies, make their goals more difficult to achieve by consistently creating and attempting to execute abstract solutions. The fairies taking Aurora away from her home until the time when she is destined to be killed is foolish and does not seem beneficial at all, especially considering that they bring her home before the said date. So it is a pointless action that does nothing more than confuse Maleficent, remove Aurora from her childhood, and strip the king and queen of their only child.
In conclusion, Sleeping Beauty is a great continuation of the Walt Disney princess movies, and has been both the most unique yet arguably most questionable of the films in this category. Overall, Sleeping Beauty receives 6.5 out of 10 stars, a decent score in comparison to the two previous films as well as one of the other princess movies. While overall remarkable and having a uniquely beautiful artstyle, Sleeping Beauty lost points for the sexist trope that drives the story as well as antisemitic villain portrayals and the frustrating decisions made by the fairies. An additional half-point was removed concerning the music as the only song that stood out was “An Unusual Prince/Once Upon a Dream,” and while it is great, there were no other notable pieces. This movie does pass the Bechdel Test.
Summary of the film under the cut.
Sleeping Beauty begins by opening a storybook, telling the tale of King Stefan and the Queen who long to have a child. Eventually they have a young girl named Princess Aurora. The movie then begins with the entire kingdom celebrating the birth of Aurora. King Hubert and Prince Phillip are invited as Phillip is betrothed to Aurora. Other guests to the party include three fairies named Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather. They each bestow a magical gift to Aurora. Flora gives her the gift of beauty, and Fauna gives her song. Before Merryweather can bless Aurora another fairy enters the great hall of the castle. Her name is Maleficent, and she is known as the “mistress of all evil.” She makes some harsh comments about not being invited and threatens the king and queen before she curses Aurora. She makes it so on the evening of Aurora’s sixteenth birthday she will prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel and die. Then in a gust of maniacal laughter and green smoke Maleficent disappears. Merryweather utilizes the final gift to lighten the curse, making it so when Aurora pricks her finger, rather than dying, she falls into a deep sleep that can only be broken by true love’s kiss. After the party King Stefan orders the entire kingdom to burn all of their spinning wheels. Thinking that this small gesture is not enough, Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather propose to the king a plan of their own. They want to remove Aurora from the kingdom and raise her in the middle of the woods until her sixteenth birthday. Begrudgingly agreeing, the fairies take the princess. Sixteen years later Maleficent is panicking as she can not find Aurora. She discovers that her goons have been looking for a baby for sixteen years rather than accounting for the child’s age. She then sends out her crow familiar, whom she refers to as “her pet,” to look for Aurora. Meanwhile, Aurora is leaving the cottage she has lived in for the past sixteen years to go pick berries. Left to their own devices, the fairies decide to prepare a birthday party for Aurora, whom they have since renamed “Briar Rose.” This party is inclusive of a cake and dress, but the fairies refuse to use magic so as to not draw attention to themselves. This goes horribly.
Eventually Flora caves in and allows them to use magic to design the dress and bake the cake. Maleficent’s crow notices the sparkles of magic spewing from the chimney. While Aurora is out and about, she does not pick berries. Rather she sings about a man she met “once upon a dream” to all of the forest animals. Her singing draws the attention of a man riding his horse throughout the woods. Some of the woodland creatures steal his clothes and dance around with Aurora, but they accidentally lead him towards her. He then begins to dance with her in place of the animals. They have a romantic outing in the woods before Aurora runs off as she is not allowed to talk to strangers. When she returns to the cottage she sees what the fairies have been up to and is very grateful. Her presence also confirms Maleficent’s crow’s suspicions. Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather inform Aurora that she must leave as she is the daughter of the King and Queen, but she protests on account of the man she met. They then tell her about her betrothal to Prince Phillip. Aurora is very upset, but has to return to the castle anyways. The fairies take her back to the castle and into a room of her own where they pull the curtains and lock all additional doors to ensure her safety. Aurora begins to break down crying so Flora suggests they give her some space. However, this later proves costly as Maleficent sneaks into the fireplace, puts out the fire, reveals a secret hallway, and then entices Aurora with a magic glowing orb. Aurora goes down the hall just as the fairies return to check on her. They follow her, but by the time they find her it is too late. She pricked her finger on the spindle of a magic spinning wheel and is unconscious. Some time before this Phillip had returned to the kingdom, told his father that he wanted to marry a peasant girl, and then left to meet Aurora at her cottage in the woods. King Hubert attempts to tell King Stefan about this, but the fairies decide to make the entire kingdom fall asleep along with Aurora so as to not alert the king or bother anyone.
At the cottage Phillip is captured by Maleficent and her goons and taken back to the Forbidden Mountain. Maleficent reveals her plan to release Phillip when he is very old and dying rather than killing him immediately. The fairies hear about this and try to free him, to which they succeed. They give him a shield, known as the Shield of Virtue, and a sword, the Sword of Truth. They help him escape, defeating Maleficent’s goons and turning her crow pet to stone. Maleficent is angered by this and obstructs the path to Stefan’s Castle with numerous thorns. Prince Phillip uses the Sword of Truth to cut through the forms, so she summons “all the powers of hell” and turns herself into a black dragon that breathes green fire. Phillip, with the power of the fairies, impales Maleficent with the Sword of Truth and rides into the kingdom successfully. He kisses Aurora awake, and the fairies return wakefulness to the kingdom. During the festivities, Prince Phillip and Princess Aurora dance together, and Flora and Merryweather continue to fight over Aurora’s dress color, changing it continuously as she dances.
