Technomancy: The Fusion Of Magick And Technology
Tumblr media
Technomancy is a modern magickal practice that blends traditional occultism with technology, treating digital and electronic tools as conduits for energy, intent, and manifestation. It views computers, networks, and even AI as extensions of magickal workings, enabling practitioners to weave spells, conduct divination, and manipulate digital reality through intention and programming.
Core Principles of Technomancy
• Energy in Technology – Just as crystals and herbs carry energy, so do electronic devices, circuits, and digital spaces.
• Code as Sigils – Programming languages can function as modern sigils, embedding intent into digital systems.
• Information as Magick – Data, algorithms, and network manipulation serve as powerful tools for shaping reality.
• Cyber-Spiritual Connection – The internet can act as an astral realm, a collective unconscious where digital entities, egregores, and thought-forms exist.
Technomantic Tools & Practices
Here are some methods commonly utilized in technomancy. Keep in mind, however, that like the internet itself, technomancy is full of untapped potential and mystery. Take the time to really explore the possibilities.
Digital Sigil Crafting
• Instead of drawing sigils on paper, create them using design software or ASCII art.
• Hide them in code, encrypt them in images, or upload them onto decentralized networks for long-term energy storage.
• Activate them by sharing online, embedding them in file metadata, or charging them with intention.
Algorithmic Spellcasting
• Use hashtags and search engine manipulation to spread energy and intent.
• Program bots or scripts that perform repetitive, symbolic tasks in alignment with your goals.
• Employ AI as a magickal assistant to generate sigils, divine meaning, or create thought-forms.
Tumblr media
Digital Divination
• Utilize random number generators, AI chatbots, or procedural algorithms for prophecy and guidance.
• Perform digital bibliomancy by using search engines, shuffle functions, or Wikipedia’s “random article” feature.
• Use tarot or rune apps, but enhance them with personal energy by consecrating your device.
Technomantic Servitors & Egregores
• Create digital spirits, also called cyber servitors, to automate tasks, offer guidance, or serve as protectors.
• House them in AI chatbots, coded programs, or persistent internet entities like Twitter bots.
• Feed them with interactions, data input, or periodic updates to keep them strong.
The Internet as an Astral Plane
• Consider forums, wikis, and hidden parts of the web as realms where thought-forms and entities reside.
• Use VR and AR to create sacred spaces, temples, or digital altars.
• Engage in online rituals with other practitioners, synchronizing intent across the world.
Video-game Mechanics & Design
• Use in-game spells, rituals, and sigils that reflect real-world magickal practices.
• Implement a lunar cycle or planetary influences that affect gameplay (e.g., stronger spells during a Full Moon).
• Include divination tools like tarot cards, runes, or pendulums that give randomized yet meaningful responses.
Tumblr media
Narrative & World-Building
• Create lore based on historical and modern magickal traditions, including witches, covens, and spirits.
• Include moral and ethical decisions related to magic use, reinforcing themes of balance and intent.
• Introduce NPCs or AI-guided entities that act as guides, mentors, or deities.
Virtual Rituals & Online Covens
• Design multiplayer or single-player rituals where players can collaborate in spellcasting.
• Implement altars or digital sacred spaces where users can meditate, leave offerings, or interact with spirits.
• Create augmented reality (AR) or virtual reality (VR) experiences that mimic real-world magickal practices.
Advanced Technomancy
The fusion of technology and magick is inevitable because both are fundamentally about shaping reality through will and intent. As humanity advances, our tools evolve alongside our spiritual practices, creating new ways to harness energy, manifest desires, and interact with unseen forces. Technology expands the reach and power of magick, while magick brings intention and meaning to the rapidly evolving digital landscape. As virtual reality, AI, and quantum computing continue to develop, the boundaries between the mystical and the technological will blur even further, proving that magick is not antiquated—it is adaptive, limitless, and inherently woven into human progress.
Tumblr media
Cybersecurity & Warding
• Protect your digital presence as you would your home: use firewalls, encryption, and protective sigils in file metadata.
• Employ mirror spells in code to reflect negative energy or hacking attempts.
• Set up automated alerts as magickal wards, detecting and warning against digital threats.
Quantum & Chaos Magic in Technomancy
• Use quantum randomness (like random.org) in divination for pure chance-based outcomes.
• Implement chaos magick principles by using memes, viral content, or trend manipulation to manifest desired changes.
AI & Machine Learning as Oracles
• Use AI chatbots (eg GPT-based tools) as divination tools, asking for symbolic or metaphorical insights.
• Train AI models on occult texts to create personalized grimoires or channeled knowledge.
• Invoke "digital deities" formed from collective online energies, memes, or data streams.
Ethical Considerations in Technomancy
• Be mindful of digital karma—what you send out into the internet has a way of coming back.
• Respect privacy and ethical hacking principles; manipulation should align with your moral code.
• Use technomancy responsibly, balancing technological integration with real-world spiritual grounding.
As technology evolves, so will technomancy. With AI, VR, and blockchain shaping new realities, magick continues to find expression in digital spaces. Whether you are coding spells, summoning cyber servitors, or using algorithms to divine the future, technomancy offers limitless possibilities for modern witches, occultists, and digital mystics alike.

SVSSS AU ... Benevolent System 0.3
related to [THIS] Shen Yuan art and -> [1st] [2nd] [4th]
Tumblr media
As didi had promised, the little System had immediately chimed in with a mission the second Shen Yuan had appeared in the world. Granted, the mission was kind of important– seeing as he didn’t have a weapon aside from the Benevolent System Fan that held didi yet, and completing the quest would provide him with an honest-to-Airplane spiritual blade, which in his millennial nerd brain was more tempting than even the limited edition, limited run release of that Hatsune Miku statue he’d special ordered from Japan.
According to the mission blurb that had appeared on the surface of his fan, the spiritual weapon Shen Yuan was supposed to be looking for was based on an old legend. Even as obsessive as Shen Yuan is about the world-building and lore of PIDW (including the monsters, of course) he can hardly remember much about the weapon as it was mentioned in the actual web novel. As far as he can remember, it was only vaguely mentioned in passing—something to do with one of Bingge’s wives, somewhere in the mid-triple-digits. It was a legendary semi-sentient blade created by an ancient Beast Cultivator, and was so powerful (but not more powerful than Xin Mo, of course) that if one were to be chosen to wield it, they would be able to communicate with and control even the wildest creatures—any number of beasts who roamed the mountains, oceans, and skies could become as docile as a lapdog! The possibilities were endless, one could amass a beast army to span the Human and Demon Realms, probably even the Abyss as well!
Naturally, upon hearing all of this from didi, Shen Yuan’s first thought is: sorry, wife number two-hundred something, but there is absolutely zero chance anyone else is getting their hands on that blade!
As you well know, dear reader, the chaotic whims of fate all but doomed Shen Yuan the second he set foot into his favorite trash fire web novel’s setting. Now that he’s been living in the PIDW world for a short while, there’s one thing he knows for sure, and it’s that fate has a wicked sense of humor. Thus, our intrepid transmigrator followed the quest instructions to a tee, only to be held up when he realized he needed a guide to navigate the next branch of the quest. And so here he is, marching into the heart of the Steelwood Wilds on the edge of the Borderlands where monster-ridden trials await him with her at his side—Yin Xue, wife number 234—a rogue beast cultivator far too skilled for her own good, and who would not have been out of place in Ling You, Cang Qiong’s Beast Taming Peak.
Shen Yuan curses the heavens above and subtly shakes his fan as a punishment for didi—the little shit should have warned him about this! He’s going to have to tread very carefully, lest he get suckered into some shitty romantic subplot with pretty characters that definitely are not his to conquer! Granted, she’s an infant right now in the story, barely older than eleven by the looks of things, so Shen Yuan will happily keep himself safely in the role of weird senior cultivator. Of course, since his luck is apparently abysmal, the plot has decided that she would be the one guiding him through the treacherous terrain. In truth, dear reader, despite his obvious seniority, Shen Yuan’s pride is suffering as he is not being guided so much as being dragged along, while the precocious tween makes snide comments about his incompetence.
“Are you sure you’re even qualified to hold a blade, Shen qianbei?” Yin Xue peers at him with one raised eyebrow as her beast companion—a still-growing bird as dark as ink that he recognizes as an Ironwing Falcon—lets loose a short, soft screech from its perch on her shoulder, as if sensing the real threat they are to face is not within the forest, but is in fact Shen Yuan’s complete lack of practical skills.
Indignant, Shen Yuan puffs up his chest even though he knows deep down that his only real skillset he has in his arsenal right now is his ability to fake it til he makes it. He can only pretend to be competent long enough to get through the worst of what this trash fire universe will inevitably sicc on him. Obviously he can’t sword fight (at least not without some serious Matrix-style training with didi’s help) and his cultivation skills are basic at best, despite essentially having cheatcode-ed his way into the late core formation stage. All he truly has are a fancy fan that’s all but a deus ex machina, as well as his own frantic wits.
“It’s just a blade,” he sniffs, forcefully maintaining an air of manufactured confidence. “It’s not that special.”
Yin Xue, of course, doesn’t seem convinced. She crosses her arms and stares at him with an intensity that makes Shen Yuan regret his entire existence.
“Maybe,” she replies, choosing her words carefully, “but it’s definitely not just a blade. It’s the blade. The one that makes people tame the beasts, bend the wilds to their whims, and—”
“Yeah, yeah, I get it, xiao Xue,” Shen Yuan interrupts her quickly. He genuinely doesn’t need another lecture from this toddler. “It’s important. I’m going to find it. I’m going to become the most incredible Beast Scholar in this entire world—oi, don’t look at me like that, I have a plan.” His voice wavers slightly on the word plan, but he can’t let her see that. He has to maintain his facade.
Yin Xue shoots him a suspicious glance before nodding curtly and signaling him to move forward. “I hope Shen qianbei’s plan involves not dying before we reach the last known location mentioned in the legend.”
Silently, Shen Yuan prays for the same.
The Wilds are far more dangerous than he could have imagined, even knowing all the ins-and-outs of the PIDW world as befits his giant fanboy status. Within minutes of stepping inside the dense, dark forest a giant, rampaging Ironhide Serpent-Tailed Bear comes crashing through the trees, its roar shaking the ground beneath him. Shen Yuan will admit that he freezes, his eyes widening with his ripple of fanboy excitement before his palms grow increasingly clammy with fear as reality sets in. The thought: that fucking thing could kill me! blares like a klaxon in his head on repeat. Of course, Yin Xue the thrice-damned child doesn’t even flinch, which causes Shen Yuan to call out in alarm.
“Xiao Xue!”
But as she simply swings out her arm, releasing both her Falcon and her potent qi-infused whip, he is reminded of the fact that even as a child, she’s far more experienced than him. Hell, the kid is actually well into the early qi condensation phase. Within moments, both girl and bird are deep into battle with the behemoth.
“Shit shit shit– uhh, didi? A little help!?”
《 Of course, [Host]! This didi is ready and willing to assist! {UPLOADING TRAINING PROGRAM…} 》
《 {INITIALIZING.TUTORIAL:MARTIALFAN_ARTSv5.7.pkg} 》
《 … 100% ᴄᴏᴍᴘʟᴇᴛᴇ!  》
《 «𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐥𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠…» 》
Shen Yuan hisses while his mind is inundated with boundless knowledge, stretching his mental limits. His qi rages in his meridians and he inhales sharply as the sensation of his bones and muscles ripping themselves apart overtakes him, followed by a swell of nausea as they seem to be rebuilding all at once. The process is agonizing in its intensity. He gags, the pain making his vision darken at the edges before as suddenly as it had come, he’s back to normal. Although, it’s not truly normal. He can feel the way that didi has burned the practical knowledge of the fan arts into his brain, forcing his body to undergo all the training required to use such skill in the span of seconds rather than decades. He wipes his mouth and swears violently as the Ironhide Serpent-Tailed Bear enters his range. He moves smoothly into a fighting stance.
“Holy–!”
Shen Yuan moves, but it feels almost like autopilot. He knows it’s him doing the fighting, it’s his body performing the actions, the strikes; and it’s his mind issuing the commands to execute it all, but it’s so surreal how natural it feels despite having never learned any of it before this very moment. As his fan deflects another strike from the venomous tail the beast is named for, Shen Yuan spins and sends a blast of qi-infused compressed air at it just as Yin Xue’s spiritual whip makes contact, the colliding forces ultimately ripping the monster apart in seconds.
“That’s what I’m talking about!” Yin Xue crows with the confidence of someone who’s used to killing monsters even before breakfast. “Why didn’t you say you were a Wu Shan master, Shen dashi?!” Yin Xue bounces excitedly in place, her youth even more obvious in her behavior, “Just think: if you had a proper blade, you would be even more unstoppable!”
“Right,” Shen Yuan mutters, as if the entire moment where he stood there like a deranged gaping fish wasn’t incredibly embarrassing enough.
“What happened to your old sword, anyway, Shen dashi?”
“Uh, let’s just say I left it worlds away, hm?”
Yin Xue wrinkles her nose, but doesn’t press. “Okay, whatever you say, dashi…”
By the time the duo manage to reach the altar where the legendary blade is rumored to be confined, Shen Yuan has never been so glad for didi’s presence before in his life. The System really has been working overtime, offering warnings and alerts as they continue to navigate through the forest. With didi’s help, Shen Yuan unlocks a few additional cultivation skills almost like he’s in an RPG, levelling up his Talisman and Array skills to a mid rank level. It leaves him breathless, nauseous, and lightheaded each time, but the rush when flexing his newfound abilities is like no other. Yin Xue grows more and more attached to him as he reveals more of his hidden skills—he feels a little bad deceiving such a cute kid like he is, but there’s no denying the delight he gets from watching her eyes widen in excitement and awe every time he breaks through a challenge’s barrier like tissue paper.
The passing thought of collecting cute little disciples crosses his mind, but he dismisses the idea before it fully forms. A wanderer’s life is no place for a child to grow up in.
Shen Yuan stares at the altar, a rustic stone monolith that serves as a tomb for the blade. Ancient vines and various flora of an ominous nature twine around the shrine itself, and there is a strange energy around the altar—almost like an invisible weight pressing down on him. He can see where the blade is sealed, just out of reach. Even behind its mystical barrier, Shen Yuan can feel the way it pulses with a wild power, the very untamed nature of it making his heart race.
“Shen dashi,” Yin Xue murmurs, awestruck, “we found it!”
“Mn,” he hums in response, his eyes travelling over the surface of the monolith as he searches for a way to dispel the barrier array. He does a double take as his eyes catch on something engraved in the ancient stone. He steps closer, eyes narrowing as he murmurs aloud the inscription.
“Toothless jaws strike to the bone. Held in a grip and tame the wild—both beast and blade become beguiled.”
“What does that mean, Shen dashi? Is it… some kind of riddle?”
Shen Yuan furrows his brow, tapping his chin with his fan in thought. He feels the need to solve this on his own, and he has a feeling that didi wouldn’t help him even if he’d asked. This is part of his quest, after all; he has to complete his very first System Mission on his own or he’ll never get anywhere in this world. Didi is an amazing resource—basically a giant OP cheat code—but Shen Yuan wants to be able to rely on himself as much as he can, although he is incredibly grateful for his cute little system’s help.
“... toothless jaws… strike to the bone… in a grip…”
Shen Yuan scowls, furiously wracking his brain as he considers possible answers. It feels annoyingly Tolkien-esque, and although he’s adored the author’s books for years, he’s not exactly well adept at translating riddles. He stares at the shortsword where it remains, suspended in air inside the sealed barrier array, his eyes catching on something that seems to have been embossed onto the sword’s sheath. He steps closer, squinting as his mouth moves involuntarily, reading aloud the words.
“Yu Shou Shi… Ren ..?”
The Beastmaster’s Blade? What kind of unimaginative–
Suddenly, it happens.
The ripple of qi is the only warning Shen Yuan gets before the barrier array explodes outward. He barely has a second to shield Yin Xue from the shock-wave as it hits them—it feels like he’s been cored out, the energy carving through him and the residual foreign qi echoing in his battered meridians.
The blade chose him.
He stumbles down to one knee, not processing Yin Xue’s panicked cries as he blinks, dumbfounded. He looks back over his shoulder where the blade remains suspended but no longer trapped behind the array. It moves in mid-air and he only has a second to react as it flies into his hand, as though it has been waiting for him all along. The moment it makes contact, the world shifts.
His thoughts become clearer. He can hear the thrum of the blade’s soul, as wild and untamed as any beast, yet purring like a domesticated cat in his grasp. Shen Yuan can sense the blade’s fraternity with its fellow beasts, he feels their roars, their needs. He’s always been fascinated with the beasts of the Great Master Airplane’s world, but his belief that they aren’t enemies to be feared is only reinforced—with this blade in hand, they are his subjects to be understood.
Yin Xue, hands trembling where she reaches for his kneeling form, takes a cautious step closer. “You… it picked you!”
Shen Yuan’s fingers tighten around the snowy-white hilt. In his hands it doesn’t feel like a simple weapon, but a promise. He has no idea what he’s getting into, allowing this half-feral semi-sentient weapon imprint on him, but for the first time since his arrival in the PIDW world, he feels genuine excitement as he considers his future here.
“I guess…” he says, glancing at his blade with new understanding. “Maybe being here is worth it after all.”
Yin Xue tilts her head at him, confused but grinning. There’s genuine warmth in her voice when she speaks. “They say the Beastmaster’s Blade is untameable, but… don’t let it tame you, Shen dashi.”
Shen Yuan nods, smiling down at her as he pats her head. She leans into the touch like a contented cat, her smile brightening. He feels the determination solidify in his heart. He will definitely use this blade, that it chose him is a blessing he’ll not soon forget. He will write the best bestiary this garbage fire of a world has ever seen—if only to prove that he’s worthy of the incredible weapon in his hands.
But as the saying goes, dear reader, “even the smallest stones can create the greatest ripples,” and although Shen Yuan isn’t aware of his own influence yet, the consequences will drastically change this world he’s landed in—hopefully, for the better.

Counterspell
A short, silly thing based on this post.
Gale x Tarragon (my paladin Tav)
I'm having a hard time creating things lately, struggling to write without being super critical about every little thing. So I forced myself to start and finish something short: voìla.
“Paladins cannot use countermagic.” Gale stated.
Tarragon raised their eyebrow. “How can you be so sure?”
“Ah, excellent question, to find the answer, we must explore the differences between spellcasters. The Paladin is a conductor for divine power, using the weave to manifest that power. However, magic flows from a wizard rather than merely through.”
Tarragon might have rolled their eyes if Gale wasn't so cute.
"You see, the very act of negating another's spell requires an intimate understanding of spellcasting, and one must be able to sense even the slightest disturbances in the weave. Like a spider in its web, the wizard must be attuned to the fabric of existence around him, and strike fast to counter the opponent's spell.”
"Hmmm..." Tarragon processed the information. "I'm not convinced yet."
"Well, if you ever do learn to use countermagic, I'd be delighted to be proven wrong." He said with a smirk.
-
A white mist glazed over Gale's eyes, the duergar had gained mastery over his mind. He moved like he was in a trance, his movements lacking his usual flair. The back of Tarragon's head tingled as Gale removed the bat guano from his component pouch.
They had seen this many times, studied Gale's hands as they traced an intricate pattern in the air, playing the strands of the weave like a bard playing their instrument. The bat guano could only mean one thing: a fireball.
Shit.
They desperately tried to remember Gale's magic lessons from before.
“Some spells require a material component.”
Tarragon closed the distance between them with one swift stride and swatted the pellets out of the wizard's hands.
“Then there's a somatic component: the gestures.”
They grabbed Gale by the wrists and pinned them above his head against the wall behind him.
“Lastly, we have the verbal component, or the incantation.”
Tarragon’s hands were full, and they could feel the heat rising around them as Gale opened his mouth in an attempt to finish the spell.
“Ar-”
They smashed their lips against his, and jammed their tongue into Gale's mouth, cutting him off effectively.
The air cooled abruptly, and when Tarragon pulled back, Gale’s irises had returned to their usual deep brown. His mouth still slightly agape.
“How's that for a counterspell?”

Pjo hcs of animal/monster/other features of demigods/champions
Children of Zeus/Jupiter
Since Zeus' sacred animal is an eagle, his kids have eagle and bull like features. They have eagle wings thay grow out of their backs with time, feathers on the sides of their arms and shoulders, their arms are clawed. Bull horns grow out of their heads with age.
Jupiter's kids have more bull features, they have the horns, a tail and a much tougher skin than a regular demigods. They still have eagle festures, but its contained to the arm feathers and claws.
Greek kids have a taste for fish but roman ones preffer more grassy foods.
Both have slitted pupils that go sideways like a bull's
Champions of Hera/Juno
Both greek and roman share the same features. Peacock feathers grow from the sides of their face and if they have any other feathers then some of them will turn to peacock ones.
Children of Poseidon/Neptune
Bioilluminecent eyes. They have sharp claws and slightly webbed fingers that become fully webbed when in water. All of their teeth are sharp and instead lose them every few years, they just always grow back, similar to sharks.
They have gills on the sides of their ribs along a stripe like pattern of tiger sharks. They have scales on their arms, legs, hips and shoulders.
Rarely but sometimes they have bull horns, similar to children of Zeus/Jupiter
They look some of the least human out of all demigods, their father is the father of monsters.
Children of Demeter/Ceres
Their mother's sacred animal is a serpent, due to which their arms are full of scales that go up to their shoulders, their legs and sides of their faces. Their pupils are slit and so are their tongues.
They can lose their fingers and toes, they grow back like a gecko's tail.
Dove wings grow from their backs, feathers grow from behind their ears too. Their hands like a lot of others are clawed. Their leg structure is somewhat abnormal and share a similarity to that of the bird.
Children of Ares/Mars
Children of Ares have dog claws on their hands and padded feet. Teeth that are very similar to k-9 ones. Instead of regular ears theirs are dog ears. They have dog tails that match a breed with the most similar personality, aswell as if the dog breed has sports or specific patters they have vitiligo or birthmarks to resemble them, their haie also matches the type and color of the breed (irish water spaniel and curly black/dark brown hair). Volture feathers on their necks, shoulders and backs.
Children of Mars have the wolf version of all the Greeks' dog features but they also tend to do a howl like sound at times. Red woodpecker feathers are very often in their hair. They have feathers on their shoulders and small part of their upper backs.
Greeks have a more balanced amount of dog and bird (even if it shows more through behavior) but Romans have more wolf than bird in them (both appearance and behavior wise)
Children of Athena
Most of their features come from owls (ofc). A less noticable one is if the child is more nocturnal their pupils are often larger, and if more of a day person their eyes have a slight yellow/orange hue that is barely noticable.
They have feathers growing on their cheeks and behind ears, sides of their forearms and calves. There are ofcourse their owl wings that grow as they do, feathers spreadjng over a larger part of their back.
They have bird like clawed fingers.
Due to their mother sometimes having a serpent/snake as a sacred animal, some of them have fangs with venom.
Children of apollo
Deer antlers of gold.
Crow wings and feathers in a similar fashion to other bird based features of other demigods but there are no wings on their backs. Instead they have smaller wings on their heads, a bit above and behind their ears. All of their feathers look dipped in gold. Golden and black claws
Forked tongues and venomous fangs, but the venom can both harm and heal people it just matters on the demigod and what they choose to do.
Similar to children of Mars, they have wolf teeth
They glow slightly
Hunters of Artemis/Diana
Upon becoming hunters they grow deer antlers akin to those of children of Apollo but in silver.
Whatever other features they have (feathers, claws etc) will become slightly silver dipped. They will have an ethereal silver glow that becomes brighter the more of the moon is seen
Their teeth become sharper and gain a slight venom.
Bear like feet and clawed hands.
Children of Hephestus/Vulcan
Inspired from: https://archiveofourown.org/works/55677727/chapters/142479487
Instead of being made out of clay they are part mechanisms (mechs reference), and often get parts replaced when they dont work well enough. Some may have a bronze finger or four, perhaps a part of skin they patched over with metal to survive.
They have donkey ears and tail that matches their hair color.
They all have red or yellow eyes, like those of a crane. They also often have red streaks in their hair, surrounding their face.
Theyre all so fine
Children of Aphrodite/Venus
This is something that doesnt jump out easily. They look uncanny in a way. Not badly ofcourse, they are children of the goddess of beauty. They just look too sculpted, too symetrical, too perfect, to be a normal human. They also have impossibly smooth skin, like a dolphins.
Children of Aphrodite have dove wings on their temples and feathers around their ears and necks.
Venus' kids on the other hand have goose wings om their temples and habe its feathers around their ears and necks.
Children of Hermes/Mercury
They ofcourse have hawk wings on their ankles (forever cursed to wear low rise shoes) and some feathers on their calves. They have clawed like nails and fanged teeth.
Children of Hermes have ram/sheep horns that grow out of their hair, they also have pupils that are slited sideways like a ram's. They chew on anything close when bored (dont leave your things around theyre not gonna steal it, theyre eating it)
Children of Mercury on the other hand have multicolored hair like a rooster's, with feathers sometimes there aswell. They can also scream like one.
Children of Dionysus/Bacchus
The greek and roman kids share most of their atributes. They have leopard ears and tails, aswell as claws and quite sharp teeth. They can sometimes be venomous but its rare.
Dionysus' kids have bull horns that stick out of their hair.
Bht Bacchus' kids have serpent scales on their arms, necks, shoulders, hips, ribs and thighs.
This is not the end, ill be editing it whenever i have the time and ideas to do so
I will bs doing fanon cabins too hopefully

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The repetitive clicking of a pen was all that could be heard in your room. It was late at night and you were trying to review your notes for an exam tomorrow. You glanced at the digital clock beside your pen holder, sighing as you realized midnight was approaching.
You took a sip of your coffee, hoping the caffeine would be enough to keep you awake for at least a few more hours. You still had 37 pages left to review, you couldn’t afford to fall asleep right now. When you realized that coffee wasn’t enough to keep you awake, you decided to plug in your earphones and play some music from your phone.
For a moment you thought you heard something outside your window but you shrugged it off, assuming that it was just a branch hitting your window as the wind blew quite harshly at this time of the night.
But then the noise continued and you had to pause the music to hear it properly.
Knock, knock, knock.
Confused, you removed the earphones from your ears to investigate the noise. You grabbed a lamp from your bedside table as you took slow little steps to your window. From where you were, you could see someone’s silhouette against the white curtains. The knocking didn’t stop and grew louder with every second, it made you nervous. This was the kind of thing you watched happen in horror movies.
You prepared yourself for a fight as you set aside the curtains, fully expecting to see a thief or someone dangerous. To your surprise, the person was Spider-Man—the city hero you constantly observed from your window every night as he swung by building after building.
You hurriedly set down the lamp you held, immediately opening your window right after to let him in. He was breathing heavily, no doubt just fresh from an intense fight. You noticed the way he was struggling to let himself in, so you helped him get inside and led him to sit on the edge of your bed.
“Sorry to intrude,” he apologized, looking around your room. “Looks like you were busy doing something before I came.”
“Oh, I was just reviewing for an exam,” you replied, still in shock at the circumstance. “I-uh… ar-are you okay?”
“No, I actually need your help,” he said, shaking his head. He tried to straighten his back, hissing in pain as he did so. “Shit,” he mumbled.
“What happened?” you asked as you quickly went to your cabinet to grab the medical kit box you use for nursing school. You set it on the bed beside him.
“The usual. Just saving the city. They call me hero, you know,” he chuckled lightly as he saw you jokingly roll your eyes at his answer. “And yet you’re here asking for help from a citizen,” you teased.
“A pretty citizen,” he teased back.
You blushed for a moment before clearing your throat. “Uh–so where do you need my help?”
“My face. He threw his phone at me when he ran off.”
“Well, were you able to catch him?”
“With me on his tail?” he scoffed. “He never stood a chance.”
You washed your hands before sitting beside him. “You’re one lucky person, you know that?” you said, carefully putting your fingers under the edge of his mask as you prepared to take it off.
“How so?” he replied, relishing the feeling of your face close to his.
“Out of all the apartments here, you went into mine all banged up. What a coincidence because I know just how to help you.”
“Well, it’s not really a coincidence since I know you’re a nursing student and you had medical supplies. You’re also the only one I trust who can help me.”
You froze with his words, feeling a sense of fear and betrayal. You just met him, you haven’t told him those details. “How did you know I’m a nursing student?” you asked with a tone of accusation. You immediately stood up straight and removed your hand from his mask.
“Y/N, wait–”
“How did you know my name?”
“Y/N, just listen,” he had his hands up, “I’m not gonna hurt you. Don’t worry. You know me, just wait–”
“What do you mean?”
“Take my mask off and you’ll see.”
“Why should I trust you?”
“Well–uh, because… I’m Spider-Man?” he shrugged and then tried to chuckle. You glared at him.
“Look, can we please just stay calm?” he pleaded. “If I try to hurt you, which will never happen, you can hurt me back and I won’t even try to fight you.”
When you didn’t reply, he spoke again. “I still need your help with my face. Please?”
You gave in, hesitantly sitting beside him again. “Fine. But you’re leaving once I’m done.”
“Deal.”
You turned his face, putting a finger… and another… then another… underneath his mask until it was enough for you to be able to remove it. His breathing hitched as you slowly, almost teasingly, pulled his mask up.
Halfway through, you already had an idea of who he was. You recognized those lips. Those lips were unforgettable, you had stared at them countless times when they moved as Peter Parker talked. But Peter Parker can’t be Spider-Man… right?
The more you revealed his face, the faster your heart was beating. Your hand rested on his cheek as you used your other hand to remove the mask fully, you felt him lean into your touch.
When you removed it all completely, the first thing you saw was his long curly eyelashes. His eyes were closed, but when he looked up to meet your eyes, it confirmed just about any suspicions you had about who he was. Peter Parker, your best friend that you haven’t seen for so long, the man you had buried feelings for.
“Peter,” you softly called his name.
“Hi,” he smiled. “See, you didn’t have to worry. I’ll never hurt you.”
You smiled back at him, but then you saw a cut just above his left eyebrow. It must’ve been where the phone had an impact. “You really got hurt pretty bad, huh?”
“Hmm,” he nodded. “Will you help me?”
“I don’t know… let me think,” you teased.
He was looking at you like a sad puppy.
“You’re lucky you’re my best friend,” you smiled. You briefly saw him look at your lips. You cleared your throat. “Umm-okay. So first, I’m gonna clean the area around the wound to prevent any infection. It might sting a little, I promise I’ll be quick.”
He watched you as you grabbed a sterile pad and a bottle of antiseptic. You held his chin to steady his face while your other hand gently cleaned the area around his wound. He closed his eyes as you did so, relishing the feeling of your hand on his face.
It didn’t hurt him, he was used to this kind of pain and injury as Spider-Man, but he still whimpered softly just so he could watch you be worried for him. You looked just like you did when you were a little girl being worried for him whenever he injured himself.
“I’m sorry, look it’s done,” you said, taking a closer look at the cut to examine the extent of the wound. “It’s not too deep, luckily. But we still need to ensure it heals properly. I’ll apply an adhesive strip to help keep the wound closed as it heals,” you smiled, carefully placing the adhesive strip over the cut, you made sure it aligned with the wound’s edges for optimal healing.
He was still looking at you. He could get used to this—the sight of you taking care of him. Maybe if he had you to take care of his wounds every time, he wouldn’t feel bad about having injuries. He had always admired how soft and caring you are. He used to tease you for that when you were children, but in all honesty, he only did that because he had a crush on you. Growing up, that little crush grew into something stronger. Even after you moved into an apartment away from where he lived, he still checked your social media to get updated on your life. He also visited you sometimes.
“Thank you for doing this,” he whispered. He was scared to move his face, he didn’t want you to move your hand away. You looked at his eyes, not for too long though, because you knew that if you stared for more than 3 seconds, you’d fall deep into his eyes and do something you weren’t sure he’d want you to do. “I could never say no to you,” you whispered back.
You weren’t sure why you were both whispering, it wasn’t as if you two were scared of making noises. Maybe because you were scared to break the tension that surrounded the two of you. You were so close to him, too close. You knew that it wasn’t too long until one of you had to act on it. If someone did act on it, the line between friendship and something more would be crossed and you’d risk losing each other completely if someone didn’t feel the same.
“There we go. The adhesive strip should hold the skin together. It might be a bit uncomfortable, but it will ensure a better, faster recovery.”
Peter didn’t want you to stop. He hoped this wasn’t the last step.
“Finally, we need to apply a sterile gauze pad to absorb any potential bleeding. I’ll secure it in place with some medical tape.”
The word ‘finally’ made Peter disappointed. After this, what would happen? Would the two of you just go back again to being the two best friends who were too busy with their lives that they barely saw each other? Could he really leave this apartment without having to feel your lips on his?
You gently placed a sterile gauze pad over the area, making sure it covers the cut adequately. You then carefully taped the pad down, ensuring it stayed in place. “The gauze pad will provide an extra layer of protection and help absorb any additional drainage from the wound. Make sure to keep it clean and change it regularly…” you realized this was the last step. In contrast to what you told him earlier, you didn’t want him to leave yet. “Or you could just visit me here again and I’ll clean and change it for you.”
Peter frowned as your hand left his face, he watched you gather your supplies and put them in the box. You stood up, putting the box back to where you got it before washing your hands again. You didn’t know what to do after that, so you just sat beside him again with your head down.
No one dared to speak for a moment.
It was Peter who broke the silence. “Thank you, Y/N.”
You looked at him to see he was already looking at you. “It was my pleasure, Peter.”
“You’re not angry? Or surprised that I’m Spider-Man? I kept a huge secret from you,” he asked.
“Surprised? Yes. Angry? No,” you admitted. “I mean, we grew up. We don’t see each other often anymore. It was inevitable that there are gonna be things we don’t know about each other anymore.”
“We used to be inseparable,” Peter spoke, remembering the memories you two had before you both went to different schools for college. “What happened to us?”
“Life,” you stated sadly. “We got busy.”
Peter smiled, a hint of pain behind it. “I’m sorry if I didn’t visit you here that much.”
You reached out to hold his hand. “No, I’m sorry. I got too busy with my course. Sometimes, I forget to reply to your texts. I was so focused on chasing my dreams, I don’t even realize that I’ve completely shut people out.”
He stroked your cheek with his hand, wiping a tear that escaped from your eye. “I missed you so much, Y/N.”
“I missed you too, Pete. So much,” you leaned into his touch.
“What if I told you that I actually didn’t need your help? As Spider-Man, I’m used to these injuries. I’ve learned how to fix them myself.”
You looked at his eyes; he was looking down. “But you still decided to knock on my window…”
“Yes… it’s just–” he paused. “Honestly, I don’t know,” he admitted. “I see your apartment window every night, always wanting to show myself to you. But I wasn’t sure if you wanted to see me, so I end up just sitting on a rooftop ledge staring at your silhouette against your curtained window. I don’t know what came over me tonight, I have no idea where I got the courage–I just know that I missed you so much. After I got wounded, I longed for your touch so I made my injury an excuse so I can see you.”
“The fact that you had to make excuses just to see me means I’ve failed at being a best friend.”
“Y/N, no. Don’t say that. I got busy too… and too afraid. All I had to do was knock on your window but I didn’t. The fear always got me.”
“The fear of what?” you asked through your tears.
“The fear of you not wanting to see me. The fear of you moving away again.”
“You really thought that I wouldn’t want to see you?”
“I-I don’t know, maybe? Or maybe the real fear is rejection. I’m scared of you rejecting me.”
“Peter, why would I reject you?”
He still wouldn’t look at you. You held his chin up and turned his face so you could look at him. “Tell me, why would I reject you?” you repeated your question.
“Because I don’t want us to go back to what we used to,” he finally looked at you. “I don’t want us to barely see each other again. I want to be able to see you every day if I can. I don’t want us to have a reason to ignore each other’s messages or calls again. Yes, we can be busy, but I want us to be busy together.  I don’t want us to fall apart again. I-I want us to be together… I want us to be something more.”
You didn’t know the words to reply, so instead you pulled him into a kiss. Peter’s eyes widened. He was already planning to kiss you, he didn’t expect you to beat him and do it first to him. The kiss was long and full of meaning—your lips may not be able to say the right words for an apology, but it did the job in the form of a kiss.
You both laughed the moment you pulled away but sadness and guilt washed over you again. “Sorry for shutting you out,” you apologized. He kissed you again. “Shh. Let’s just start over, okay?”
“Okay,” you agreed. Your eyes caught the digital clock on your desk. It was way past midnight and you still haven’t finished reviewing for your exam which was now just hours away. You immediately straightened up. “Shit.”
“What is it?” Peter asked.
“My exams.”
Peter looked at your clock and the books on your table. He then noticed you getting anxious beside him. “Hey, look at me.”
You stayed staring at the clock before Peter stood up and blocked your view of the clock with his face. He knelt in front of where you sat on the bed. “It’s gonna be okay,” he smiled. “Let’s make it a mission, okay? Let’s do it like this… I’ll help you review and our goal is to finish it in an hour. And then after that, you can still get some sleep.”
“In an hour?”
“Yeah. I know we can do it.”
“ Are you serious?”
“Do I look like I’m joking?”
“No.”
“Then I’m serious. Come on,” he stood up, pulling you with him.
An hour, two coffees, and 37 pages later, you both found yourselves laying with your backs on the floor. “I told you we can do it,” he chuckled.
You turned your body so you could face him, he did the same so he could face you. “Thank you for helping me review, Peter,” you said quietly.
“You’re welcome. I didn’t do it for free though,” he replied jokingly.
“Oh, is that right?” you asked, smiling.
“Yup, I accept payments in the form of kisses.”
You chuckled before pulling him into another kiss.
“I should’ve knocked on your window a long time ago,” Peter said after pulling away to catch his breath.

web of wyrd: the heart charkra

Tumblr media
the numbers we are focusing on today are based on the green bubbled numbers in the web then the sum of the two equal your emotional number - ex: as you see above and in previous charts, my energetic number is 22 and my physical number 21. so to get the emotional number i have to sum the two: 22 + 21 → 43. recall that numbers must be summed a second time if they total 43 (i.e. 4 + 3 → 7) and above.
but what does this number mean?
the chakra set we are examining is the heart chakra (anahata); it signifies our love, feelings, sincerity, compassion, altruism, patriotism, duty, ability to feel, awareness, acceptance, and spiritual values. bodily it governs our heart, circulatory system, breasts, respiratory system, lungs, and ribs.
so let's talk about some examples:
7 - the chariot
physically 7s are hardy people. this arcana is ruled by cancer so naturally these people have tough ribs, like a crab shell, and it is likely that they have bigger and/or denser breast tissue due to cancer being ruled by moon. however, they might have very delicate lungs and a fragile circulatory system. these people aren't made for running because of this - it is just too hard on their bodies. try to aim for a lighter aerobic exercise like water aerobics, wall sits, swimming, tennis, etc.
energetically 7s are often very altruistic - they rally when getting things done for the greater good. they tend to be very selfless - they know what it is to be in charge and have people looking up to them and trusting them to do what is best for them. they don't do anything lightly; they like to have a plan and reason - but when they are out of balance, they can be very impulsive or too hesitant. mainly they have a strong sense of duty - they are one hundred percent the people who will serve their country because it is "their duty to protect their country". they are very patriotic in that regard. they value forward movement and intention - they feel it is important to continually progress for the betterment of the future.
7s emotionally are very guarded. they don't easily share their feelings. they have a lot of love to give, but they can easily frighten people with their defensiveness and emotional remoteness. cancer's, and thus charioteer's, have a hard exterior but a soft interior. they are guarded and defensive for a reason - they are protecting themselves. these people tend to have large emotional wounds that originate in childhood - from that moment on, they dress for war when dealing with emotional situations and situations where they can potentially get hurt emotionally. they are very aware of others emotions which is why they tend to make their intentions incredibly clear.
21 - the world
21s physically have great breasts - it is like the card itself; they enjoy being braless. it is something about this card though - it sort of reminds me of cancer awareness ribbons. maybe it is a cause they support - heart, breast, or lung cancer research - or maybe someone close to them struggled with the disease. this is a card of celebration after a long fight/journey, so maybe they themselves have experienced some form of chest cancer. in time all wounds heal given the card. something else i noticed with this placement is that these people really consider chest surgery - i wouldn't be surprised to find this arcana on this charka for people who had breast augmentation or removed a set of ribs.
energetically 21s want to see the world flourish and improve. they are often very involved in the realm of politics and search for candidates that are willing to get things done in their country. they want people in charge who are mature and responsible. they want someone like themselves in other words. other then that, they empower others and generally want to see others rise up - they are the best cheerleaders a person could ask for. frankly, this is a great leader in general because they want what is best for the people who look up to them.
emotionally 21s experience a very wide range of emotions. emotionally they are extremely vulnerable and don't fear what the world sees from them emotionally. they have been through a lot and fear nothing when it comes to expression and sharing. in fact, they enjoy letting others know how they feel because it sets them free in a way. they are very emotionally mature and tend to take into account how others react to their reactions and how they can best articulate to others how they feel.
22 - the fool
22s physically remind me of either good or poor circulatory flow. uranus is the ruler of this arcana and has the tendency to mix things up. these people could have a rare blood disorder, a lack of an rh factor, need to take medication for rh factor when pregnant, etc. you can never predict what is going to happen where this person's blood is involved. they also have a tendency to get stitches in their side or feel like there is a sharp pain when breathing. and not to be extreme but i have seen these people break a rib (especially, the floating one) and/or have a sudden heart issue, like a cardiac arrest.
energetically 22s are willing to try anything once. altruism is something they do once, but if they see that they are being used for their generosity, they are quick to cut ties. they are easily blind to being used at first, but as soon as they see it, they will leave and aren't afraid to go ghost. they aren't the most patriotic person - often they will dream about leaving their home country. these are not the type of people to be relied on in terms of duty; they can either be extremely flighty or they will do what is expected of them before it is asked.
love is blind - emotionally 22s are the type of people who take a chance when it comes to romances. they have a tendency to let people back into their lives because they believe that change is possible and that it is never too late to start again. they listen to their heart more than their intuition at times; which can be a dangerous game because they often associate the two together then they wonder why they can't trust their intuition.

Helluva Boss' Worldbuilding is Awful
This is going to be a different post than what I normally post. It will be a bit more negative than how I normally word things but I want to get my thoughts out there since it's something I've been hyper fixating on for awhile.
Helluva Boss is a web series on YouTube currently in its 2nd season created by Vivienne Medrano, it serves as a spin-off of her other creative property Hazbin Hotel which was recently picked up by A24 and will air its first season on Prime next month. I wanted to discuss the worldbuilding of Helluva Boss, how and why I think it doesn't work, and why that hurts it's storytelling. This essay isn't meant to be only dunking on Viv or people who still love the show, I'm not writing this to be mean. I'm writing this because I do have a soft spot for these shows, Helluva Boss S1 is a comfort show to me and Hazbin was my first foyer into indie animation. I respect Medrano for what she was able to accomplish with her shows and I write this as my own form of a love letter to the show that I want so badly to improve and be the best it can be.
The Hierarchy
Both Hazbin and Helluva take place in the same universe and are set in the same location, Hell. Hell is a concept that's been around for a long time and has had several stories written about it, it has multiple different interpretations and depictions throughout the years. Medrano's version of Hell seems to be based on Dante's Inferno version of Hell, a story that depicts Hell as having multiple layers with the sins being condensed to their own rings. Medrano's version only has 7 rings as opposed to Dante's 9 rings, one ring for each of the 7 deadly sins.
Medrano's Hell is depicted as a hierarchical society with very strict rules that those within the hierarchy must obey. Those at the bottom of the hierarchy are treated like garbage by those above them, with very little one can do to transcend the position they were born into. Furthermore, dating someone underneath you in the hierarchy, especially if you're higher on it like in the Ars Goeita, is seen as disgraceful and disgusting. The hierarchy is depicted below:
Tumblr media
This hierarchy, as confirmed by Medrano in an interview and further established in Helluva, is the official ranking of the denizens of Hell. It seems fine until you realize that the Sinners, former humans who sinned in life and got themselves into Hell, are above all of the Hellborn in status. The reason it doesn't really make sense is because Hell is meant to be a place where sinners are tortured for eternity for their sins, with the Hellborn usually being the ones doing the torturing. So why are they above the Hellborn? Why do mortal souls outrank those of actual demons? We're never given an answer for this, it's really odd.
My other problem with the hierarchy is that its established rules are often broken and bent when the writers feel like it. The most prominent example is when it comes to Higher Demons having relationships with Lower Demons. In the first season; Blitz, an Imp, someone at the bottom of the hierarchy, and Stolas, a member of the Ars Goeita and a Prince, being in a sexual relationship with each other is seen as disgusting and shocking by those around them.
When Stella is calling Stolas out for cheating on her she seems more upset that it was with an imp, with most of her insults being based around that.
"Do you want to fuck this one (referring to their imp butler) too?!" - Stella (S1E2 LooLoo Land) "Fucking IMP SUCKER!" - Stella (S2E4 Western Energy)
When Stolas and Blitz are called out in Ozzie's for their relationship, the characters don't seem to point out that he's cheating but again, who he's cheating with.
"ARE YOU SLEEPIN' WITH AN IMP?!" - Wally Wackford (S1E7 Ozzie's) "Whew! My dark lord, how the mighty do fall." - Asmodeus (S1E7 Ozzie's)
All of these moments make it clear that having a relationship with someone outside of your social class, especially those at the literal bottom of the barrel, is frowned upon heavily in Hell's society.
So why are Ozzie and Fizz, and also Bee and Tex, able to be so public about their relationships and nobody cares?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tex, a hellhound on the same level of status as the imps arguably even lower, is dating Beezlebub, a Deadly Sin and queen of the Gluttony Ring. They don't hide their relationship at all, with Tex introducing her as his girlfriend at a public event and Bee acting very lovey-dovey to him in public. Shouldn't there be a scandal about this? The class difference is arguably more than Blitz and Stolas, with Stolas only being a demon Prince, Bee is a Queen and she's dating someone whom most of Hell considers to be little more than actual pets. No one looks at them weird or even makes a comment about it?
Fizz and Ozzie are in the same boat, a deadly sin, the King of Lust is dating an imp. They at least somewhat point this out in the universe (Newspaper articles of Ozzie being a hypocrite and characters calling their relationship the worst-kept secret in Hell) but they don't get nearly the same amount of venom and societal ridicule that Stolas and Blitz got. When Asmodeus confirms in front of an entire crowd of Hellborns at Mammon's Clown Pageant in S2E7 MAMON'S MAGNIFICENT MIDSEASON SPECIAL, the crowd is... extremely accepting of it. With all of them cheering for Fizz and Ozzie and Mammon seemingly being the odd one out when it comes to ridiculing them for their supposedly forbidden love.
So what's the deal? Are higher demons and lower demons forbidden from dating each other or not? Because of how the show is written, it seems like it's only a problem when it's Stolas and Blitz. It's one example but still a glaring inconsistency in the worldbuilding that leaves several fans confused.
Hell not feeling like Hell
So outside of the hierarchy posing its own issues the actual setting also poses its own issues. A common criticism I've seen of Helluva and Hazbin is that Hell is just "Earth but red" and I'd have to agree with that honestly. You could replace the setting of Helluva as a group of assassins running a business in a major city like Los Angeles and change Stolas to being just a shady rich corporate backer and very little about the plot would change.
I'll just rapid fire some things that Hell has that make no sense in a place that's supposed to be evil, lawless, and a place of eternal suffering:
Fire Fighters
Hospitals that even lower classes can use.
Jails and Cops?? (What the fuck)
A fucking priest, officiating a wedding with a bible which implies there's a Hell Christianity?
Weddings and marriages that seem identical to Earth ones or Christian marriages (wouldn't Hell hate marriages for how they're tied to religion and God?)
Fucking Courts.
If these were one-off gags or something mentioned only once, I could let it slide. (Like Millie and Moxxie being married or Stolas and Stella getting a divorce) but when you drag out these plot points or repeatedly show things that make your world just feel like Earth but with a new coat of paint on it, It begins to feel like your world is just Earth but with a new coat of paint on it.
The worldbuilding in Helluva Boss feels like the worldbuilding in Cars where it just leaves more questions than it answers. (Why are sidewalks a thing in a world of sentient cars? They show an American flag so does that mean that the Car Civil War happened? THE POPE IS HERE IS THERE A CAR JESUS THAT DIED ON THE CAR CROSS FOR OUR CAR SINS??)
What is Demonic Law?
In Helluva Boss, the business the characters run is stated by multiple characters to be illegal. There are demons permitted to access the human world and imps are not one of them, making their business illegal. I.M.P's use of Stolas' grimoire is illegal it is not meant to be lent out to anyone, especially not to imps, Stolas even says so himself in S1E5 Harvest Moon. Stolas later affirms that the Imps need to be careful because if they get caught it could land all of them in trouble in S1E6 Truth Seekers:
"How the fuck did you get caught!? Were you not being careful? If you get in trouble I get in trouble!" - Stolas (S1E6 Truth Seekers)
So what's the deal with Stolas in S2E6 waltzing up to a DEADLY SIN and basically admitting that Blitz's running an ILLEGAL BUSINESS AND HE'S AN ACOMPLIS TO IT?? Asmodeus just... doesn't care that this demon prince just admitted to breaking demon law? Also, Blitz can advertise his business without worry that it could bite him in the ass, no one else at I.M.P. is concerned that they're running an illegal business that could land all of them in hot water? No one questions why a bunch of imps have access to the living world even though they're not supposed to?
Another thing they set up is Human Disguises, in S1E3 where Loona calls them out for going to the human world without using human disguises, making a big deal out of it. Whenever Loona goes to the human world she wears a human disguise as well as Verosika, her squad, and Stolas in S2E2.
"A human called me a possum! I am NOT a possum!" - Moxxie (S1E3 Spring Broken)
The human disguise rule is so inconsistent, why do Loona and Stolas wear theirs in Seeing Stars when Octavia is wandering around without one and the most people do is give her weird looks. The imps run around fine without them and no one cares or can see through their bad disguises The humans in the Hellverse are too stupid to notice the literal demons so why even bring up disguises at all? Why have human disguises be apart of Demon Law if it doesn't matter?
Demons being ...Nice?
A common response to criticism of this show is usually "It's Hell.". While I've already gone over why it sure don't feel like it but what's weirder still is yes, it's hell. Why are some people so fucking nice?
Moxxie doesn't want to kill an innocent mother and seems pretty soft, Millie and Moxxie are incredibly loving and caring to each other, when Blitz is younger, he has qualms against stealing, then we've got Beezlebub and Asmodeus who, by all accounts, are just nice people.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bee becomes concerned for Blitz when he begins binge drinking (Aka, engaging in her sin) at one of her parties and Asmodeus has an entire speech about why consent matters and how lust shouldn't be forced. I'm not advocating for Ozzie to be a rapist or for Bee to be a one dimensional bitch but, it really doesn't make sense for the literal embodiments of sins to be so nice.
On that same note, there are villians in this show that we're mostly supposed to hate because they're.. mean?
Glitz and Glam, we hate them because they're hyper-competitive and mean to Fizz, but they're demons? Shouldn't we expect them to be mean? Stella is an abusive screaming harpy and awful to Stolas and we hate her for it, but she's a demon princess? Shouldn't that behavior be normal in Hell?
Certain demons being nice is fine, and it can give them depth, but when every 'good guy' is nice and chill and only the evil or villainousxczxc characters are cartoonishly evil it starts to become apparent that it's writer's bias.
Conclusion
While this isn't all of the worldbuilding issues that exist within Medrano's Hellverse, it's the big ones that I have the most problems with. For a show that's supposed to be made as a way to further build upon the world of Hell, Helluva does a very poor job at that and at points is even detrimental to Hazbin.
What I mean is, if Charlie needs a backer to the hotel, why doesn't she ask Ozzie or Bee? They seem like they'd be down for it since they're surprisingly anti-sin. Charlie no longer feels special because she isn't the only nice demon, she isn't the odd one out anymore since a lot of Hell's leaders also seem to be pretty chill and nice.
Again, this isn't a rant or something that I made to dunk on these shows, I love both of them still and I want them to be better. For Hazbin and Helluva to live up to their potential and be the best they can be, no work is above being critiqued, it comes with the territory and I wish more of the fandom was normal about someone having negative feelings towards parts of the show's writing and to stop putting good faith and bad faith criticism in the same boot and backing that shit into the Hudson.

Well since the collection has been de-anonymized, might as well share my fics for @smubbles-etc's Wanksgiving challenge.
Cupcake, my original contribution for this challenge (which I intended to be the only one), some good old CaitJinx fucking in a kitchen.
Kings of Hell, a Satan x Lucifer fic I made on a whim after the newest Helluva Boss episode.
Cat and Mouse, another CaitJinx fic, also made on a whim but originally had a different premise, after an hour it started growing too long (and a bit too dark) so I decided to axe it and write a new one in 10 minutes. (I'll probably clean up the original draft and post it some day, but definitely not on my main account).
Now in one easy to access series! Obviously all are NSFW.
While I'm here might as well reupload on SquidgeWorld

Exclusive Interview with Retro-a-go-go's Doug P'Gosh; Interviewed about EC Comics products!
Interview by Chet Reams
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chet Reams: Tell us at Crypt of MADness a bit about yourself to start off:
Doug P'Gosh: I’m an artist, illustrator and product designer. My full time job is working with my wife, designing products for Retro-a-go-go! I also design products such as statues and tiki mugs for Tiki Farm, Munktiki, Disney and others. Finally, I try to paint and draw every day and I love creating portraits of classic Hollywood stars and alternative movie posters for films. I’ve had a number of my illustrations licensed and released for Lucasfilm and Warner Brothers. I’m very lucky to live a very full, creative life. You can see a more detailed outline of my creative career and my paintings and illustrations at my personal web site PGOSH.com.
And when I’m not working, my wife and I like to travel and haunt antique shows and stores, where I always keep an eye out for old ECs among other things. A couple of years ago I found a nice copy of a vintage Weird Science for $10! Miracles can still happen!
Reams: Fill us in on Retro-A-Go-Go, the business!
P'Gosh: Retro-a-go-go! was started nearly 21 years ago by my wife, Kirsten. At the time, she was feeling pretty burned out by her corporate marketing career. She wanted a new challenge and to work for herself and to build her own business. She took a $100 investment and created a bunch of necklaces at our kitchen table. She utilized my collection of old 1920’s and 30’s film magazines, printing the covers at a miniature size and creating a fun product. She took a table full of the jewelry and some other items she created to a Rockabilly/Car show and quickly sold out of them all. She was off to the races after that. Belt buckles, t-shirts, wallet cases and business card cases, flasks and more all with retro related, fun, humorous images.
I had my own corporate product design job at the time and after about 7 years of my wife growing the business, I left my job and joined her as a full time product designer.
About 8 years ago, we were feeling like the company needed to go in a new direction. We were no longer inspired to create more of the same types of products and then our factory for metal work closed. Around this time, I was developing a new product using vac form plastic to enlarge old Halloween masks from the 1960’s and 70’s into 2 foot tall giant wall decorations. We pretty much poured our last bucks into getting a series of wall décor masks manufactured for us.
The first few days after we introduced our new Horror Décor, the line was met with indifference. Our present customer base just wasn’t looking for what we had created. But by some miracle, Pee Wee Herman saw our designs, blogged about them and his own 1980’s Pee Wee Halloween costume and our sales exploded overnight. Since then, we’ve created thousands of Halloween, Christmas and monster related vac form and other products. We’ve licensed with Universal for the Munsters, Mars Attacks, General Mills Cereal Monsters and more. We’re now a collectibles and décor company that creates products for people that are looking for something different from what you find in every big box department store.  The unique, different and unusual- as long as we have a passion for the product, we’ll create it. If we like it, we figure we’ll have customers that like it too. We’re usually right.
Reams: What initially led Retro-A-Go-Go to start producing officially licensed EC Comics merch?
P'Gosh: That was me. I pushed to get the license. I loved the comics since I was a kid and thought there was room for the kind of products that we can create. And I loved the idea of contributing to the EC legacy- if only in a small way.
Reams: Did you read EC Comics (reprints or originals) growing up? If so, what was your initial take-away from them?
P'Gosh: I have thought of this question a lot. It’s a bit fuzzy as to when I first was introduced to EC…or rather the artists I love so much that drew for EC and MAD. My Dad was in his early 20’s in the 1950’s, so I know I remembered him talking about “Tales from the Crypt”. But I think I found my way to EC through MAD. First it was the magazine, then someone gave me “The Brothers MAD”, the paperbook reprint of the early comic book MAD. I think that had the Wonder Woman parody in it and I couldn’t get enough of Bill Elder’s drawings. I was hooked. And that sent me down the rabbit hole of chasing down the early MAD comic books. First with the stitched in reprints, bound into the MAD Super Specials. Then it was discovering Jack Davis, Wally Wood and the rest of the gang. Then somewhere around that time (this is the late 1970’s/early 80’s and I’m in grade school) I was really into the Warren Magazine re-prints of Will Eisner’s the Spirit. In the back was an ad for the re-print set of EC comics. All of them for one price. Once those came in the mail and I got a taste of the EC line, it really demonstrated how great comics could be, as opposed to the stuff that was in print by the big houses DC and Marvel. The more EC I could find, the better. I loved the horror stuff, but the War and Sci-fi lines were fantastic too. All these years later, I have a stack of EC originals and a shelf full of various reprints, from the Cochran volumes to the recent GIANT Taschen book.
Reams: Fill us in on the EC Ghoul-unatics bust/sculpture of The Old Witch (which is currently up for pre-order on Retro-A-Go-Go)…
P'Gosh: Our first big EC intro was the “Tales from the Crypt” ornament set. Those sold out pretty quickly after we received our shipment, so we knew there is a passionate audience for the product. But I wanted to do more with the Ghoul-unatics. Last year we started a line of 5.5” Creep-tastic statues. They’re affordable, highly detailed mini statues of classic monsters and Halloween related characters. We started with Lagoon Creep, our version of the Creature, and then introduced the Trick or Treat Devil Creep, which is an homage to classic kids' Halloween costumes.  I really wanted to introduce the EC mascots in this series, and worked up a number of sketches. I landed on poses and looks that I thought captured the look of the Ghoul-unatic AND the artist that was most famous for each. The Old Witch is closely associated with Graham Ingels, of course. My personal design sensibility with these monsters is to have fun with their looks and proportions, while keeping the essence of each character. As I mentioned, I grew up on MAD and the over-sized head and hands and feet are inspired by all those years of reading the magazine and loving the art and artists that created the work.
Tumblr media
Reams: What was the design process for the EC Old Witch piece …
P'Gosh: Once we had drawings we were excited about, we submitted them to the licensee. Happily, they were as excited about the concepts as we were. The next step is to create digital sculpt and when the sculptor saw the drawings and was supper excited to work on the designs, I knew we were onto something great. Once we create a digital sculpt, it’s sent to the factory for creating a sample. I take my drawing and work on a detailed color break and indications as to how we want the finished sample to look. Some weeks later, we see photos of a painted sample, where we then make changes and adjustments. A few weeks after that, a revised sample is shipped to us for photography and promotion.
Tumblr media
Reams: I am assuming from the design sketches you shared on the Facebook group “EC Fan-Addict Club” ..; That is, I’m assuming that there are also a Crypt-Keeper, and a Vault-Keeper in the works for this particular line of products?
P'Gosh: Yes, that is the plan. Our hope is to  give a 3-4 month lag between introducing the next Ghoul-unatic. We’ll probably start sculpting the next one in a couple of months.
Reams: What about Drusilla, the fourth EC Ghoul-unatic? Will she have an item in this series?
P'Gosh: I hadn’t considered her yet. I’m not sure she would lend her good looks to having her head oversized to match the rest of the mascots… let's say the jury is out on her at the moment.
Reams: Are there any plans .. plans to produce items of the new EC Comics horror hosts for EC/William M. Gaines Agent, Inc? The various new EC comic book titles (that Oni Press has been co-publishing with EC Comics), that is?
P'Gosh: Our present license does not include those characters. The new EC line came along after we had our agreement, so there’s no plan for that at this time. But never say never!
Crypt of MADness sends a Big Thank-You to Doug P'Gosh for lending his time to this interview!
