Send me 💬, and i’ll use a reblogged meme to create a starter for you!
@falkenar (thank you!) | From here.
To say she expects Alistair is a lie. She's not even sure Alice expected him, so meeting at the front of their house comes as quite the surprise— if not a pleasant one.
She greets the nomad with a beaming smile, hands ready to take whatever she can from him. She's already thinking about spare rooms, but deep down she knows the attic will become his choice of residence for the duration he's here.
❛ you can always ask us for help if you need it, ❜ she eventually reminds him, smile never wavering, "what brings you here, my friend?"

Green-Eyed Monster | F.W.
Tumblr media
For the first time ever, Fred Weasley finds himself jealous over the only person in the world he needn’t worry a bit about.
Pairing: Fred Weasley x f!reader
Word count: 8k
Warnings: SMUT 18+, unprotected sex, oral + fingering (f!receiving, (lots of) dirty talk, name calling, praise/degradation, dom/sub dynamic, some nipple play, touch of a breeding kink, possessiveness/jealousy, some toxic themes, established relationship, swearing, drinking, arguing, angst, fluff, sorry if miss any!
first hp fic in a very long time! what better to post than this mess (jealous, possessive, sexy mess). basically pwp—let me know what you think! (Barely edited at all lmao my apologies)
You sat quietly at George’s desk, eyes focused on a piece of parchment as you both tried to break down the recipe George had scribbled down. There was a hiccup, a hitch in the plan of brewing a batch of Euphoria Elixir for the joke shop, and it was pushing back your plans to place them on the shelves this week. After a few hours of quiet deliberation on his lonesome, George decided to seek your help in hopes of speeding up the process.
So, the two of you put your heads together and re-read the ingredient list a million times, wondering how the hell it turned out murky green instead of sunshine-y yellow. The cauldron sat smoldering across the room, a rain cloud above it as the bubbly mixture spilled over the sides. Upon first glance, you had stated the absolute obvious.
“Isn’t that supposed to be a rainbow?” You raised an eyebrow, looking at your brother-in-law as he collapsed in his chair.
“Yes, you git.” George rolled his eyes, crossing his arms over his chest. You shot him a sharp look, warning him to be nice if he wanted your help. You knew George didn’t mean any of the insults—he was simply frustrated and maybe even a little embarrassed that he could not figure it out by himself. “Sorry, Y/N.” He conceded, realizing he came on a bit too strong.
“S’alright.” You assured him, stepping towards the desk where he sat. “Where’s the ingredient list? We’ll start there.” You offered, knowing you would help no matter how poor of a mood he was in. You loved George almost as much as you loved Fred, if you had to compare. Even if it was in a different way, you had a hard time refusing him when he used the same charm tactics as his twin brother.
After spending so many years in a relationship with Fred, it would be obscure for you not to have a bond with the closest person to him. Over the years, he’d surpassed a friend and had grown into your own brother. You were certain that no matter where life took you and Fred, George would always hold a special place in your heart. When the two opened their shop in Diagon Alley, you volunteered most of your free time to help them in any way you could, and whether it was tweaking new products or doing some of the dirty work, you never really minded.
That evening in specific, Fred was off on some ‘official business’, which really just meant meeting with a potential product buyer at The Leaky Cauldron. Last month, George took the burden of doing so, and they decided it was only fair for him to do it this time. Unfortunately for you, as much as you loved supporting them, it did interfere with your evening plans with him. So, sulking and trying your best to swallow it down, you distracted yourself with stocking shelves downstairs to prepare for another busy day ahead.
You were actually near grateful when George emerged from the office, calling out to you in desperation. It gave you a break from the monotonous back and forth, and someone to talk to. If it could not be Fred, you decided George was the next best.
“So, what’d’ya think it could be?” George asked, peeking over the cauldron that was still spitting back at him. He dodged out of the way, trying his best not to get any of the splashback on his new jumper.
“Well, from what you’ve told me, seems like you put all the right stuff in.” You deducted, pursing your lips slightly as you read over the list for what seemed like the millionth time. “Sad as it sounds, I doubt we can save it now, even if we figure out what happened.” You said, recalling your potions knowledge that Snape had relayed over the years.
“Right, but I’d like to know what’s wrong before I try again.” He explained, taking a moment to look over your sad expression. His eyebrows furrowed, his head cocking to the side as he tried to figure out where it was coming from. “What’s got your knickers in a twist?” Your eyes flickered upwards to meet his, your cheeks tinged red from the heat of the room. Your lips dipped into a frown as you shrugged your shoulders, brushing him off so you did not need to explain yourself. “I know you better than that. Come on, now.” He urged, placing his palms flat against the desk as he leaned towards you, a challenging look in his eye.
You narrowed your brows, keeping a stony expression as you met his gaze. “What’s it to you, Weasley?” You shot back, unsure of where your defensive nature was coming from. Perhaps you weren’t willing to discuss your relationship problems with your boyfriend’s twin brother, or maybe it was because you felt foolish for being upset at all.
“Reckon we’re past that, hmm? Your problems are our problems, and all.” He responded, also unsure of why you were being so reserved with your thoughts. Usually, you were an open book, especially with the two of them.
“My problems aren’t your problems, Georgie.” You shook your head, shutting down the ridiculous notion. “Let’s get back to the real problem, yeah?”
“No, I don’t think so.” George disagreed, his concern now over something completely different. “Is it about Fred?” At that, the tips of your ears began to burn and you shifted uncomfortably in your seat. “Ah, I see.” A devious smile crossed his lips.
“It’s not a big deal.” You covered your tracks, tapping the ink-less quill against the worn parchment.
“I have a hard time believing you, considering you just lied to me.”
“Lied is a strong word,” you rolled your eyes, quickly realizing that there would be no escaping the conversation. “I didn’t lie about anything.”
“What’s he done?”
“Nothing!” You exclaimed, a dry laugh leaving your lips. “It’s just… I’m just being dramatic.” And it’s true, you were being dramatic. Well, maybe not fully, but that’s what you were trying to convince yourself of. “I just miss him, I suppose. I know you both have been busy, but I think maybe I underestimated how busy you would actually be.” You continued, knowing it was wrong to confide in his twin brother about your relationship issues. Still, it felt good to get it off your chest, to voice the concern and have someone shoot you down, just so you knew you were being irrational. “This is the third night in a row we’ve canceled our plans. I’ll get over it. It’s no big deal.”
“That’s a big deal.” He hummed, sympathizing with you to make you feel better. “Bloody inconsiderate, if you ask me.” But you weren’t asking him, and somehow his justification of your feelings only made you feel worse. “What? Not allowed to speak my mind?”
“No—“ you let out a defeated sigh, slumping down in your seat. “I know that, but I was hoping you would tell me I’ve gone mad, instead.”
“Blimey, Y/N, you’re allowed to be upset. We're busy, yeah, but you’re still his girlfriend.” George said, jumping slightly when the rain cloud above the cauldron let out a crack of thunder. “If you’d rather, we can forget the elixir and grab dinner instead. I’m not Fred, but I’m pretty damn close.” He gave you a cheeky smile, earning an honest laugh from you.
“S’alright, Georgie. Thank you, though.” You appreciated his kindness, but you were sure it would only make your predicament even worse, considering Fred’s recently acquired short-fuse when it came to you and George spending so much time together. It was odd for him to be so protective, so jealous of the one person in the world he needn’t worry about, but it seemed as though the new trait was permanent. Perhaps it came from the fact he was also missing you due to your busy schedules, and how it sometimes seemed you and George were most often left at the shop alone.
“You know, I have noticed that lately.” George continued, leaning against the desk as he reminisced over the last few weeks. “Always seems to be us stuck here together.”
“Mhm.” You mumbled, slowly realizing that you weren’t as insane as you previously thought if he was noticing all of the same things. “Let’s just figure this out so I can get home.”
So you did. A grueling hour spent recounting George’s every step in brewing the elixir left the two of you puzzled and even more frustrated. By that point in the night, you were hunched over the long list of his steps you had jotted down so you could (hopefully) discover what he missed.
“I dunno, Georgie.” You sighed. “Seems like you did everything—“ you cut yourself off, leaning closer to the page on the desk as you caught something you hadn’t seen before.
“What?” He asked, his head snapping towards you. “What is it?”
“You said when you let it simmer, it was turquoise.” You said, looking up at him.
“Yeah, so?” He replied, confused why it was such a big deal.
“It’s meant to be blue.” You explained, a grin on your face as you relayed the information to him.
“Turquoise… blue… same thing, innit?” He asked, standing and walking over to you.
“Maybe to you.” You giggled, pointing to the piece of paper where he missed the step. “After you add the shrivelfig, you have to stir it until it changes color.” He walked up behind you, placing one hand on your arm as he leaned over your opposite shoulder. He smelled of butterbeer, likely due to the one he’d been nursing the entire time you sat together. You immediately noticed the warmth of his body, how similar it felt to how Fred touched you, but how drastically different it was all the same.
“Blimey, you’re right!” He exclaimed, his voice still soft so he was not yelling in your ear. “What would I do without you?” He gave your arm a gentle squeeze, leaning closer and pressing the side of his face to yours in a makeshift hug. His hand dropped to your back, lingering there as the conversation continued.
“It’s nothing, really.” You smiled, closing your eyes to enjoy the warmth for a moment. “So now you know. You can do it again, but make sure to stir it until it’s blue. By tomorrow, we’ll have it bottled and on the shelves just like we planned.”
“Our number one girl, saving the day yet again.” He sighed in relief. “I better get to it—“
Before his thought could finish, the door to the office swung open, cutting him short. Your eyes turned upwards, landing on a slightly drunken version of the boyfriend who’d abandoned your evening plans. The gloss of his eyes and the goofy smile on his lips led you to believe so, and the redness on the apples of his cheeks only solidified it. Only his cheeky grin didn’t last too long when he processed the scene in front of him, how close the two of you were, how heavy George’s hand seemed on your back and how rosy your own cheeks were.
Quickly, his jaw tightened, his gaze narrowing as he tried to decipher the whole situation. His nostrils flared ever so slightly, and his arms raised to cross over his chest. Immediately, you knew what you’d be in for; a long, tiresome argument that changed absolutely nothing. Instead of fighting the silent accusations, defending yourself for no real reason at all, you watched him with the same intensity while you awaited a snide comment.
“So what’s all this, then?” Fred asked, his face clearly conveying all of his emotions.
“Helping Georgie make the elixir while you were off getting sloshed at The Leaky Cauldron.” You muttered, noticing George straighten himself up in hopes of avoiding any further damage.
“I was not getting sloshed, I was doing business.” He corrected, defensive over the fact. “S’pose you were hoping I’d take a little longer, yeah? Give you some more time to cozy up with my brother?”
“Blimey, Fred. If you took any longer, I’d imagine you’d have to move in with the lad.” George took your side on the matter. “At least she wouldn’t have to worry about you missing dinner again.” At that, Fred’s eyes cut to you, immediately understanding where the underlying tension was coming from.
“Is that right?” Fred’s voice was no louder than a whisper, all of the pieces clicking together in an instant. “I don’t suppose the two of you had dinner? Let him fill in for me while I was gone?”
“No, we did not.” You snipped, standing as you gathered the ingredients for George’s second attempt at the brew.
“Yeah, right. What else did he fill in for, sweetheart? Anything you think I should know?” At that, your eyes widened and your face turned red. Your entire body felt like it was engulfed in flames, appalled that he would even think such a thing.
“Piss off, Fred.” You muttered, stepping out from behind the desk as tears stung your eyes. George shot you a sympathetic look as you pushed past his brother and out into the stairwell. You trodded down to the main level, swiping fallen tears away from your cheeks as you rushed out the front entrance of the building.
The cool air of the night was nice, especially after spending so long cramped up in the tiny office space, but it was not as freeing as you might have hoped once you heard footsteps following behind you. Without acknowledging him, you pulled your keys from your pocket, hoping that maybe he forgot his own set and you wouldn’t have to deal with his drunken arguments tonight if you got inside before him.
Of course, you knew that was childish and cruel, because despite being upset with him, loving him was the only thing you knew how to do. You unlocked the front door, holding it open with your boot-clad foot as he stumbled his way behind you. As soon as he passed through the doorway, you continued on your journey to ignore him and tossed your keys on the counter.
“Hey,” Fred reached out, his warm hand landing on your arm, stopping you from running any further from him.
“What?” You snapped, immediately regretting the harshness of your tone. He recoiled at the sound, shocked that you spoke to him in such a way. Usually the two of you saw eye to eye on everything, and in your long standing relationship arguing had never been your thing. Until you left school, you were certain the two of you had never been angry at each other, ever.
“What the bloody hell was that about? I leave for a few hours, and the two of you get on like that? Does that happen every time I step out?” You couldn’t help but roll your eyes again, wondering why this became such a problem in the few short months you’d been graduated.
“Merlin, Fred. You’re acting like you caught us in a broom closet.” You tried again to make your way to the bedroom, unwilling to argue a point he knew was blasphemous anyhow. “We were working, not fucking.”
“Yeah, but I bet you would’ve let him, right?” He grabbed your hand, spinning you back around to face him. He pulled you into him, his athletic build never leaving him even after he stopped playing quidditch. “Bitching and moaning cause I couldn’t be home to take you to dinner… if you were so upset, why didn’t you come to me, princess? Tell me what was wrong?” You could smell fire whiskey on his breath, feeling his chest heaving with anger against your own. As angry as you were, you couldn’t help but feel a rush of arousal run through you. The slight sneer on his face, the fire in his eyes, and the protective hold he had on you was sending your head spinning with thoughts much less pertinent to the topic at hand.
“Maybe I would have if you spared me the time of day.” You argued, finding yourself short of breath as you realized just how much he towered over you. “But, as it seems, you’ve been too damn busy to spare me a second glance.”
“Christ, when did you get so needy?” His rebuttal came easy, like he’d been waiting to have this fight for weeks. “Weren’t satisfied at home, so you thought my brother could do it for you?”
“Are you daft?” You hissed, feeling his fingers tighten on your hips. You hated that the feeling made you forget about your troubles, urging you to push the argument to the side and settle it in a better, more pleasurable way. “If that’s what I wanted, you think I’d be up here arguing with you?”
“That depends, sweetheart. Were you planning on getting caught?” He raised an eyebrow, the thud of his heart against his chest letting you know just how worked up he was. There was no way he truly believed you would do that to him, especially after all you had been through together. You wondered if maybe the lack of time spent with each other was getting to him, souring his thoughts because he missed you just as much as you missed him. “We may be identical, Princess, but he could never give you what I can.”
You hated to admit it, but for some strange reason, jealousy looked really good on him.
“What, a headache and a poor mood?” You decided to play his game if he wasn’t willing to listen to reason. If he wanted to fight, you could do it too. “I’m sure he could manage. In fact, he could probably do a hell of a lot more.” That seemed to strike a nerve in him, pushing him over the edge in an instant and changing the entire mood hanging heavy in the room. He no longer wanted to talk, but rather prove a point.
He took a step backwards, never easing his hold as he pushed you towards the kitchen table. He didn’t stop until your ass hit the edge, a mischievous look in his eye replacing the earlier annoyance. He had you locked in place, no intent to back down as he stared down at you over the bridge of his nose. Then, a small smirk turned the corner of his lips, leading you to believe he was also thinking of a much more simple way to solve your problems.
“Maybe you just need a reminder of who you belong to, yeah?” He asked, his voice quieter than it was before. You felt your mouth run dry, your eyes never leaving his as a dull ache between your legs began to pester you.
That would make you feel better, but he had pissed you off enough that you wanted to refuse him the satisfaction.
“Maybe we should get Georgie up here. According to you, he’d be the one to set me straight.” There was a slight venom in your tone letting him know you wouldn’t be letting anything go so easily. A low chuckle shook his shoulders, his eyes gleaming with a sinister look you weren’t sure you’d ever seen from him before that night. He shook his head ever so slightly, playing into you as he reached one arm behind you.
Your heart raced as you awaited a response, wondering if maybe you pushed him too far and crossed a boundary you could not double back on. You didn’t have to wonder long, because without a second thought, he cleared all of the items littering the table with one swift move of his arm. Papers scattered everywhere, floating through the air and landing all over the floor. Broken products and half finished merchandise for the shop tumbled off the edge, falling less than gracefully onto the tile below. Without ever breaking eye contact, he raised an eyebrow, daring you to say it again.
“You think he can fuck you better than I can?” He asked, giving you the opportunity to change your mind.
“Right now? Yeah.” You spat, wondering if he’d ever drop the act and get on with his day. “Seems like all you want to do is get on my nerves.”
“Yeah?” He challenged, his face so close to yours you could feel his breath on your skin. The tip of his nose grazed your own, his normally warm and comforting irises engulfed by his lust-blown pupils. Or perhaps it was anger that gave him the new look—you weren’t quite sure. “You’d rather go home with him at night? Wake up next to him every morning? Is that really what you want, princess?” He taunted, knowing very well that your heart was his, even if he found himself caught up in a few moments of doubt.
Still neglecting to give him any gratification, you nodded your head despite the sickening feeling that washed over you at the thought. As if he called your bluff before you ever said it aloud, he laughed at the certainty in your action, which only seemed to anger you further.
“If that’s the case, seems like I’ve got my work cut out for me tonight.” He responded, brushing the comment off as if it were nothing. If there was one thing Fred couldn’t ever turn down, it was a challenge, and since coming upstairs with you, it was only further proven to him that’s all this was. “Maybe I’ve gotten too comfortable, sweetheart. After so long, you think you’d know that you’re mine, huh?” Before he continued his tyrant, he used his hands on your hips to lift you onto the table with ease. The ache between your legs had grown stronger, more intense and impossible to ignore. You could feel the wetness soaking through your panties, and the thought of his strong arms lifting you so carelessly only made you spiral further. “Maybe I expect too much of you.” He theorized, recognizing the gleam in your eyes because he’d seen it a thousand times before.
He let his hands trail under the hem of your jumper, settling on the button of your jeans as he undid it with ease. You never let your eyes trail from his face, realizing that no matter how upset you were, it could never take away from how much you loved him. He was beautiful, his fiery red hair and the freckles splattered across his cheeks and nose creating a perfect picture. The softness of his complexion and the gentleness hidden deep in his expression assured you that whatever the two of you were doing was nothing more than an act. He knew you were his just as well as you did, but he knew the only way to settle the (admittedly, misguided) fear was to hear you say it aloud.
You helped him pull the fabric from your legs, wrapping your arms around his neck as you lifted your hips from the table. He discarded the clothing on the floor, paying no mind to it as he returned his hands to your bare legs. His eyes searched your face, carefully looking for any sign of discomfort. Instead, he was met with a pleading expression that only seemed to fuel his too large ego even further.
“No matter,” he disregarded his earlier rant, his eyes growing heavy as his hand fell between your legs. His fingertips grazed the thin fabric separating him from your core, a shiver running down his spine as he noticed the arousal that had soaked straight through. “I don’t mind having to show you. Least I’ll get to have my fun too, yeah?” He applied slight pressure to your aching clit, watching to see your reaction. Your eyebrows knitted together, your lips parting slightly as your hips moved forward into his hand, your body betraying your mind and begging him for something more.
At that, a grin encased his face, happy to see that he hadn’t lost his touch, even if your lives were vastly different and ever-changing by the day. He knew exactly how to make you feel good, and he took pride in it.
“See, Princess? She’ll always tell me the truth.” He taunted, his voice quiet as his eyes trailed down to his hand. You swallowed hard, knowing he had you in a stalemate. “Tell me again, who do you think knows how to make you feel good? Who does it best?” He was on a power trip, unwilling to slow down until he heard you admit it. Still, you stood your ground, pressing your lips tightly together so not a single sound could pass through. His grin faded, slowly sinking into a scowl as your disobedience remained clear.
He removed his finger from you, tracing the hem of your panties as he hooked his finger through the side of the fabric resting on your hip. He awaited an answer, giving you the opportunity to change your mind. When you kept your stoicism, he gave one, hard tug on the lacy fabric until it snapped in two. He used his other hand to do it to the opposite side, giving himself easy access to you without hearing a complaint on your end.
“So you don’t care who’s between your legs?” He continued, unrelenting as you stared him down. “Doesn’t matter who, as long as there’s a cock in you? As long as someone’s taking care of your pretty pussy?” Your cheeks flushed, your chest burning as the filthy words washed over you. “Doesn’t matter, sweetheart. When I’m done with you, I’ll be the only person you can think of. Surely then you won’t be able to forget who you belong to.”
His hand connected with your bare cunt, his fingers trailing through your arousal and settling over your clit as he began to trace slow circles into the sensitive area. Your legs trembled at the contact, finally feeling some relief from the nagging sensation that had been taking over.
“Fuck. Fred.” You whispered, giving yourself away immediately. He let out a low hum, pleased with the sound and knowing he was the reason for it. He had you where he wanted you, and now he just had to keep up the pace. You could feel his hardening length against your leg, distracting you completely from the pent up anger and frustration.
“That’s it.” He encouraged, his middle finger sinking inside of you as he let his thumb take over on your clit. “That’s my girl.” He made sure to accentuate the claim, never once letting you forget it. “All you needed was a little help remembering.” Slowly, he pumped his finger into you, keeping time with his thumb as he began to work you towards a climax. “You want to say it for me? Tell me what I already know?” Instead of responding, you let out a whine, your hips bucking forward into his hand. Although it wasn’t what he was looking for, it was just enough for him to keep going.
He curled his fingers as he pumped them into you, begging for a reaction as your hand wrapped around his bicep for support. You felt the tense of his muscles as he worked at you, only pushing you closer to insanity. You were his, undoubtedly and wholeheartedly, and you would be crazy to ever want anyone else.
“Stubborn little thing tonight.” He remarked, his eyes focused on the point in which his hand met with you, never breaking his stare as he watched his fingers disappear into you. “What’s gotten into you?”
“Need more, Freddie.” You replied, your eyes squeezed shut as you felt the pleasure pulsing under your skin. It had been a long time since you felt him this way, and your impatience was quite clear.
“My little whore needs more?” He teased, applying a little more pressure with his thumb. A gasp fell from your lips, sending your upper half leaning forward until your forehead rested against his. “Asking a lot from someone you aren’t being very good for.” He chastised you for your behavior despite being the one that caused the problem in the first place.
“M’sorry, my love. S-so sorry.” You rushed out, his fingers brushing against the sweet spot inside you only he knew how to find.
“That’s not what I want to hear sweetheart, and you know it.” His tone was firm, unrelenting as he continued his torment. You let out a groan of frustration, wishing he’d quicken the pace and give you what you wanted, even though you refused to give in to him.
He leaned forward, closing the gap between your mouths as he grew tired of waiting for the words he wanted to hear. He tasted like the whiskey that had been fuelling his poor mood, sweet and bitter all at once as his tongue grazed your bottom lip. You hated how easy it was for him to turn you into a mess, hated how easy it was for him to make you forget you were angry at all. You pulled him closer to you, holding his arm tightly so he would not pull away. You were stubborn, but despite that, you were showing him everything he wanted to see through your actions alone.
You broke from the kiss as a particularly intense wave of euphoria pulled your stomach. Your forehead continued to rest on his, holding you upright as he continued to give you just enough to keep you satisfied.
“Say it, princess.” His voice was low, raspy and laced with desire as he watched you turn into a mess below him. “Tell me you’re all mine. Tell me I’m the only one who can make you feel like this.” Instead, you connected your mouths again, letting a desperate moan out at the same time. He drank in the sound, his cock throbbing as his hips jutted forward into nothing. He was almost more desperate than you were, which only allowed for you to take him less seriously.
“G-gonna have to try harder than that.” You found a peculiar pleasure in leaving him on edge, giving him a taste of his own medicine as he continued to torture both of you at once. “Show me why I should say it, Freddie. Seems like you’re all t-talk.” You stuttered, tripping over your words as you tried to keep your composure.
He withdrew his hand from you, making you cry out in frustration from the loss of pleasure. Your eyes met his, desperation written all over your face as you protested his actions. Silently, he sunk to his knees between your legs, pulling you to the edge of the table by your hips. He didn’t spare a single glance at your face before his tongue connected with your core, the warm wetness of his tongue even more pleasurable than the rough pad of his thumb.
You laid back on the table, your hands sinking downwards and tangling in the soft locks of hair. Although you were denying him of the statement he wanted to hear, you could not deny that your last argument was wholly untrue. Fred was determined to prove a point, and he was doing it well.
You weren’t far off from an orgasm, his tongue making quick work at pushing you to the edge. The sounds falling from your lips were telling of your current state, and as delirium began to set in, your defenses began to break down.
He suctioned his lips around your clit, adding his fingers to the mix and returning to his earlier pace to torture you further. Every nerve in your body was ablaze with desire, need seeping from every pore as you realized just how badly you needed the release. Sick of the game, you finally broke in fear he would leave you hanging yet again.
“Oh, god.” You gasped, your legs resting over his shoulders in attempt to stop the constant trembling of the lips. “I’m yours, Fred, fuck!” You exclaimed, a sheen layer of sweat forming over your forehead as the knot in your belly began to tighten. “Only you can make me feel this good. Nobody else.” You whined, your fingers tightening on the locks of hair as you began to tug at the strands. You could feel him smiling against you, happy to finally hear you admit the truth.
Pleased with your confessions, he curled his fingers against your g-spot one last time, generously giving you the very thing you’d been pleading for. In a mess, your entire body tensed as the pleasure took hold. The orgasm washed over you, leaving your heart racing against your chest and your head swirling with filthy thoughts for the boy between your legs. A hum of approval let you know he was more than happy with your performance, and he kept his pace until he felt you relax against the table below you.
Once he knew he’d gotten the most out of you, he rose to his feet, towering over you as you laid below him. In the dim moonlight, you could see your orgasm glistening on his chin, only furthering his cockiness as he ran his tongue over his bottom lip so he did not waste a drop of it.
“Always taste so sweet, princess.” He whispered, using one hand to free himself from his pants and his boxers. “And it’s all for me.” He continued, slipping his shirt from his head. He used it to wipe his face clean before tossing it on the floor to join the growing pile of clothes. With shaky hands, you lifted your upper half from the table and pulled your own jumper over your head. “Isn’t that right?” He stepped toward, settling between your legs as his hands ghosted over your bare thighs.
You let out a whimper, his grip landing on your already sore hips as his eyes raked over your entire frame. Your gaze flickered to his cock, hard and aching for relief as he continued to tease you. His fingers tickled your stomach as he trailed his touch upwards, his palm landing flat against your breast as he gave it a gentle squeeze. He let the pad of his thumb brush over your hardened nipple, sending another wave of pleasure through you.
“Answer me, sweetheart.” He wasn’t playing anymore; he wanted to hear the words, and he was done with your obstinacy. He pinched your nipple between his thumb and forefinger,
“Yes,” you huffed, already forgetting the pleasure from your first climax as a whole new wave of need began to take over. “I’m yours, Fred. All yours.” You reiterated your earlier statement, now willing to do whatever he wanted of you to prove the point.
“Tell me how bad you want it.” He shot you a twisted little smile, almost as if he was getting off just from the thought of you begging for him.
“I need it, baby. Need to feel you, please.” You whined, reaching for his arms and pulling him closer. “Want you so bad, Fred. Been waiting all night for it.” You felt the tip of his cock connect with your cunt, his expression faltering as soon as he felt the wetness.
“God, you make it so hard to be upset with you.” He hissed the words through his teeth, using his hand to guide himself through your folds as he sucked in a sharp breath. He settled himself just over your already sensitive clit, pushing his hips forward ever so slightly to apply pressure to the spot. “Sound so pretty when you’re begging to be fucked.”
Slowly, he let his tip run back through your arousal, settling the head just at your entrance. He pushed himself forward, but just barely. You whimpered as you braced yourself for the feeling, only to be let down when he stopped himself from going any further.
“Fred,” you warned, catching his eye so he could see your desperate face. You hoped that if he did, he would stop being such a tease. “Please fuck me.”
“What was that?” He smirked, turning his head slightly so his ear was closer to you. “Didn’t quite catch it.”
“Fred, stop—“ you cut yourself off, letting out a huff of annoyance. You knew chastising him for his actions would only make him less likely to give in, even if it was incredibly hard to hold it back. “I need you to fuck me.” You repeated, clearer and louder in hopes of swaying his decision. “Can’t wait any longer, baby. Please.”
At that, he pushed forward the rest of the way, sending your entire body raising with goosebumps. The stretch as he filled you was exactly what you craved, and as he reached the hilt, his tip brushed against your g-spot so delicately that it almost made you come undone right then and there. Your eyelids grew heavy with satisfaction, focusing on how full you felt with him inside of you, knowing that he for certain would always be the one for you.
“That good enough for you, Princess? This is what you wanted?” He asked, letting himself rest inside you for a moment. He felt your walls flutter around him, pulling him even further and making it harder for him to resist you.
“Mhm,” you hummed, giving him a tired nod of agreement. You could feel him throbbing inside of, desperate for a release just like you had been moments before, but he was still trying to prove his point.
“Nobody else gets to have you like this, sweetheart. You’re mine.” He whispered, now sober from the alcohol but intoxicated by an even stronger, deadlier force; you. “He couldn’t fuck you like this, and you know it.” As he spoke, he withdrew his hips and slammed them forward into you again. The action stole the breath from your lungs, twisting your stomach with pleasure as your nails scratched over his skin.
He began at a pace, slower than normal but the force behind his movements making your head spin. You moaned quietly, lost within the feeling of being so close to him. He never failed to take your breath away, never failed to amaze you with his every move. You were so in love with him it sometimes felt like there was no room within your heart for anyone or anything else.
“Tell me, Y/N.” He ordered, his stare never wavering as he fucked into you. As much as he wanted to succumb to the sensation of you wrapped around him, he found it hard to push the thoughts of your earlier arguments out of his head. “You think he’d fuck you like this? You think he could make you feel this good?”
“No, Freddie.” You gasped, feeling the strength of his thrusts increase, sending the legs of the table wobbling. His fingers tightened on your hips, likely leaving behind angry red marks that would fade into reminders of him for days to come.
“That’s it, Princess.” He panted, his chest heaving as he tried to resist the pull of pleasure. “Don’t you think, not even for a second, that anyone can give you half of what I can.” You both knew this to be fact; nobody in the entire world could ever compare to him. “And why do you think that is?”
“‘C-cause I’m yours,” you managed to stutter out the response, watching him as the statement washed over. He brought his hand to your thigh, your legs wrapped tightly around you as he pulled you back on him with every thrust. His head fell back on his shoulders, the dim light of the room casting a beautiful hue over his already breathtaking features.
“That’s right,” he grunted, slamming his hips forward again. There was a thin layer of sweat sheen on his chest, the toned muscles of his abdomen flexing every time he moved. The exposed columns of his neck made your mouth water, his Adam’s apple bobbing as he swallowed back his own groans of pleasure. “Was that why you were mouthing off? You just needed someone to take care of you? Just needed me to fuck you?”
“God, yes.” You moaned, feeling the pressure in your belly begin to reach a peak.
“You gonna cum for me, sweetheart? All over my cock?” He smiled, looking down at you so he could appreciate the view. “Come on now, making a fucking mess of it.”
“Fuck,” you whimpered, his words hitting you hard and causing the tightening knot in your belly to tense even further.
“That’s my pretty girl. Just like that.” He continued to encourage you, studying your expression as pleasure began to twist it.
It didn’t take much more for you to descend into another orgasm, your entire body quivering as you cried out for him, singing his name like a hymn and he was the god in which you prayed to. Your throat was raw, raspy from the constant string of moans passing your lips. You were tired, almost too fucked out to continue on, but he was having none of it. He didn’t slow his pace as you came down from the high, instead speeding up and ensuring that he pulled your entire body down on him as he fucked into you.
“Freddie, please.” You breathed, feeling the threat of overstimulation begin to creep in. He would have had sympathy had he known you couldn’t take it, but he was confident in your ability to keep up with him.
“What’s wrong, Princess? Wanted it so bad and now you can’t handle it?” He asked, his eyes glazed over with lust as he felt himself approaching his own orgasm. You frowned at his words, now on a quest to prove your own point as you tried to ignore the stinging beginning to set in.
“I can t-take it.” You huffed, a shiver running down your spine as he reached upwards and palmed your breast. He gave the supple flesh a gentle squeeze, his eyes closing in bliss as he let himself slip out of the persona he had created.
“Being so good for me—just a bit longer now.” He whispered, his voice far away as his eyes settled over your face once more. “Bloody hell, Y/N.” he groaned, his forehead creasing as his eyebrows furrowed together. “You’re the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.”
He slipped his hand between your legs, his thumb landing atop your clit. He traced slow circles, knowing you were a bit further behind him and unwilling to climax without giving you at least one more. He could see how tired you were, but it did not deter him from his commitment to pleasing you.
“I love you, Fred.” You whispered, softened entirely by the sweet look in his eyes. All of his previous anger fled, leaving him just as the boy you’d fallen so hopelessly for.
“I love you, sweetheart.” He hummed, his hips stuttering and his stature faltering. “Give me one more, yeah? I know you can do it.” And he was right, your entire body was ablaze with another orgasm much more powerful than the last two.
“Together?” You gasped, reaching up and settling your palm on his cheek.
“Yeah? You want to cum with me?” He encouraged your train of thought. “Want me to fill that pretty cunt? Really show you who you belong to?”
“Fuck yes, please.” You cried, your fingertips tangling in the locks of hair hanging over his ears. Your walls clenched around him, drawing him in and effortlessly finishing what you had started.
You felt his hips stall, a low growl leaving his lips as he pulled you down on him one last time. He managed to whisper your name as he spilled his release into you, the feeling of him filling you completely sending you spiraling on your own accord. You let out a defeated sigh, the tail end of it turning into a whine as your body went rigid. Your nails scratched at the skin of his arm, your hand on him the only thing keeping you tied to earth instead of floating up and through the clouds.
The both of you rode the high together, euphoria infiltrating every nerve in both of your bodies as he leaned down towards you. Ever so gently, he laid his head on your chest, which was still heaving as you tried to catch up from the lack of oxygen. He placed a plethora of small kisses against the warm skin, his eyes fluttering closed as he appreciated the comfort that came with your company.
Silence hung heavy between you for a few moments, neither of you sure where to go from there. You were still strung out on bliss, barely remembering what got the two of you in the position until he spoke again.
“M’sorry, sweetheart.” His voice barely broke through the room, so timid and shy that you almost missed it completely. “I know you’d never do that. Just got in my head, I s’pose.”
“I… I get it.” You sighed, twisting a lock of his hair. “If I walked in on that, after us being so.. you know. I’d likely feel it too.” You confessed. “I was upset that we had to cancel dinner. I am upset, but not at you.” You tried your best to explain yourself despite exhaustion eating away at your mind. “I’m just upset because I miss you. You’re so busy now, and I’m happy for you, really, but I miss you too.”
“You think I was bloody happy about it?” Fred chuckled, the tip of his fingers tracing shapes into your skin. “I’d much rather be here, with you.” At that, you relaxed completely, understanding that you had gotten too far into your own head. “It’s my favorite place to be. Always has been.”
“Mine too, Fred.” You hummed, smiling softly at the thought.
“I reckon I was a bit jealous, ‘specially at the thought of you and George spending so much time with each other. Would rather it be me, you know, sitting at the shop and laughing with you all night… taking you out for dinner… loving you.” Another gentle kiss was placed to your chest, just before he looked up to meet your eyes. The soft, warm, familiar sight made you feel at ease. He was back to being your Fred, the one you missed all along.
“Darling, you have nothing to be jealous about.” You promised, smiling as he placed a quick peck on your lips. “Though, if it means we get to have brilliant sex like that, by all means do what you have to do.” You explained. “Bloody brilliant, at that.” Without any further words, the two of you descended into a fit of laughter and the clouds that previously hung above your head seemingly cleared in an instant, easily proving to him there was really never a need to worry at all.

Lando.jpg - Landoscar drabble 🧡 📸
Couldn't help but write this lil drabble of photographer Lando taking cute pics of Oscar :)) I saw these and immediately typed it up on a doc. Super rough draft but making this into a full fic for after the GP! Enjoy <333
Click.
It happens before Oscar notices the dark lens to his right, the reflective glass trained on him for a fleeting moment before it dips down to reveal fluffy brown curls and a soft smile.
The expression on Lando’s face is unbridled. His eyebrows–which had previously been furrowed in concentration–relax with the movement of his arm, gleaming eyes creasing at the corners. He feels something rise in his chest, coupled with the sensation of a balloon tugging the corners of his mouth upward. A faint flush reaches his ears when Oscar’s eyes reach his.
“Huh?” Oscar lets out, puzzled. Tawny umber wisps cover his forehead in sectioned clouds, different from the usual parted strands that would frame his face. This time, the hair rests gently, almost long enough to reach his eyes. It’s different, Lando thinks.
He likes it. More than he’d like to admit actually–his hands grip tighter around the curved body of the camera. It’s taking more effort than normal to prevent his hands from crossing the air between them and ruffling Oscar’s hair. He imagines it’d look messy, not in the way it typically looks after Oscar removes his balaclava–dishevelled and frantically fleeting from his head–but in the way that feels right when his hair scatters perfectly under Lando’s touch.
“Lando?” The Brit snaps out of his trance and follows Oscar’s voice to his eyes. “Did you hear? We’re meeting with our engineers before practice tomorrow.”
“When?” His attention perks up when he realises how fast time passes during race week.
“It’s in your calendar” Oscar chuckles. “If you read it…unless you need me to read it for you?” His lighthearted jab almost comes across seriously, except Lando knows it’s in Oscar’s nature to be incredibly blunt. Underneath his stoic expression, he’s probably cackling to himself as he would to Lando behind closed doors.
He nearly forgets the presence of a few media members standing a metre away. They’re looking at their camera viewfinders, swiping through a few frames of the drivers’ brief interaction. At least two of those would make it onto the Mclaren page.
Not that Lando minds, of course–not when he finds himself scrolling through Instagram at the end of the day, staring at images of every perspective of him and Oscar (mostly Oscar) to see how they look in others’ eyes. To see how Oscar looks in perspectives other than his own. He wants to know if their lenses also capture Lando’s point of view, just a few inches shy of the Aussie’s eye level and close enough in proximity to catch the tiny freckles dotting his complexion–and most likely every expanse of his skin.
Lando’s face heats up quickly. Oscar doesn’t notice though, he’s already dipping through the sparse crowd of workers in the paddock, presumably to refresh his training on the simulator or walk the track with his race engineer. He looks over his shoulder once, a hand raised in a small wave. Lando grins back. He can’t help it when his camera raises to his eye, creating a tunnelled view of Oscar’s disappearing silhouette.
The driver looks carefree, even with his back turned. Maybe it’s in his stance, or the way his shoulders drop back in their usual position, or how his head tilts upward to look at the sky. Rain clouds loom in the distance, the sun isn’t due for at least a few hours, but Oscar continues to look anyway.
Regardless, Lando’s certain that Oscar carries the sunshine with him because it’s uncanny how often Lando feels his warmth when he’s close by.
He smiles to himself and can’t wait to browse the photos on his own time.
FINAL FIC POSTED ON AO3!!

There's a lot of validity in the idea that older Bakugo is a traumatized pro-hero with major PTSD... but you know what's kinda fucked up to think about? The fact that Bakugo is also a 22-year-old pro-hero with major PTSD even before that, too.
It's almost easy to imagine that things are actually better when he's older (the therapy finally a routine, the trauma long set and on the path to being healed)... and that it's his whole 20s that are spent as a pool of disaster trying to recover from the war(s).
He looks back and barely even remembers being twenty, much less twenty-five or twenty-seven. Barely remembers how little he slept, not at the hands of trying to balance hero work and getting a degree at the same time, but just out of the pure insomnia that came from trying to move on and every nightmare attached.
Hardly ever showering, never shaving (not that he ever grew much of a beard, but the facial hair was definitely there. There's pictures of him on the news with an awkward, grown out haircut and patches on facial hair that make him look positively... immature), barely even eating more than a few protein bars or an energy jelly drink-a day. It's a blur, and his friends are hardly there to pick him up out of it because they're all going through it, too. Somewhat.
It's definitely weird if you meet him during this period. He's not all there, at least, not all of the time. He doesn't really register your interactions, the friendship you extend to him (a younger, or ever older, version of him would've shown you that deep seeded ferocity in response, tried to bite the hand that fed him, even if it were love... but 20s Bakugo... doesn't seem to notice). Even though only one of his eyes is clouded over, the good one never seems to brighten up.
There's definitely moments when the old him shines through: when he's with Deku, when he's in the midst of battle, when he finds out that Todoroki still does a shitty job at chopping scallions. But it's a long time before he's even close to the same, able to step out from underneath the fog of simply surviving and into the sunshine of recovering.
But I think sticking through it with him is worth it.
(It's a weird moment, a happy moment, the first time you realize that Bakugo has changed. That the pouring rain outside hasn't bothered him since he showed up at your apartment. He forgot his umbrella, he's been quite careless ever since the war—wet and shaggy hair frizzed up, cheeks red from cold—but he doesn't seem to mind, with his bare feet up on your coffee table, his eyes gazing out the window. You hand his tea, and instead of gulping it down in one go, letting it burn in his throat, he winces at the heat.
"Tastes like shit," he says, and you laugh because it always does. Just this time, he noticed.)

A New Life 1
Warnings: non/dubcon and other dark elements. My username actually says you never asked for any of this.
Characters: silverfox!Steve Kemp
Summary: You have an unexpected encounter in the park.
Part of the Silverfox AU
My warnings are not exhaustive but be aware this is a dark fic and may include potentially triggering topics. Please use your common sense when consuming content. I am not responsible for your decisions.
As usual, I would appreciate any and all feedback. I’m happy to once more go on this adventure with all of you! Thank you in advance for your comments and for reblogging.
Tumblr media
There’s a hint of dampness in the flow of spring air. The breeze stirs the leaves and the scent of dirt along with the sprouting leaves. The season of renewal has arrived. You hope there’s a fresh start for more than the foliage.
You sit on a bench along the winding path that leads from the nearby park. You have your journal on your leg, knee hook over the other as you sketch the thin branches of a barren bramble. You cross hatch the dulling end of the pencil, the skitter of unseen critters and winging of birds brushing around you.
Another twenty minutes and you’ll go. You can feel the rain, see it bulging in the clouds looming above. You can’t be very disappointed, at least you got out of the house. You need to do more of that.
You hear footfalls down the path. Heavy and quick. Another jogger passing through. You don’t look over, focusing on adding the patchy grass around the twigs.
They get closer, looming as they bounce up the path, coming around the curve. This leg of the path isn’t as busy as the others. Many are deterred by the incline. You bend your neck as you raise the notebook slightly, trying to get the angle of the blades just right.
A huff as a shadow hangs over you. Someone claims the empty space next to you on the bench. You make yourself smaller as the jogger sits and bends over their lap, loudly catching their breath. You don’t own the bench, you can’t stop them, but there’s another further up the path.
“Nice day,” he comments as he raises his head, elbows on his legs as he stays hunched over his lap, “spring’s coming.”
You glance over. He’s older. His gray hair has a few lingering streaks of brown and his blue eyes meet yours briefly before you retreat back into your journal. You shrug and hum, “mhmm.”
“Good running weather, not too hot,” he remarks as he sits up, bending his elbow over the back of the bench.
You wouldn’t know. You don’t run. You’re surprised someone his age keeps up the habit.
“You’re an artist,” he points lazily with his hand to your journal.
You nod, “just doodles.”
“I can’t draw at all. Chicken scratch,” he sighs.
Your wall of silence slips into place. You don’t mean to be rude but you’re not overly fond of strangers. You hope he gets the hint.
“Sorry, hope I’m not disturbing you,” he chuckles, “you know, ever since my wife died, I just… spill all over.” He sits up and clears his throat, “like right now.”
You fidget and rest the pencil between the pages, closing the journal. “I’m sorry about your wife,” you eke out, a tremor of guilt tugging at your heart.
“That’s life, I guess,” he says, his other hand twiddling on his thigh, “can’t all be sunshine,” he looks up, “gotta rain sometime.” He stands and puts his hands on his hips, facing you, “probably soon, ya know? Wouldn’t want that pretty art to get ruined.”
“Uh, yeah,” you hug the book to your stomach, “thanks.”
“Er,” he reaches to rub his neck then drops his hand again, the front of his light zip-up straining across his shoulders, “I guess it’s been a while for me, I’m Steve.”
He offers his hand. You look at it. It isn’t the strangest encounter you’ve had but unexpected nonetheless. You left the house for some alone time. To get away from the stomping and hollering above your basement unit. Now you’re being pestered by this lonely widower.
That last thought once more fills you with guilt. You shouldn’t think like that. It’s selfish. You have your issues but you’re not mourning someone you love.
You relent and give your name as you reach for your hand. As you clutch it, you feel a strange prick against the heel of your palm. He clings to you, shifting oddly as the stabbing deepens in your hand. He holds onto you a strange sensation flows into your veins.
He lets you go as you recoil and hold up your hand. There’s a tink against the brickwork below the bench. You look down at the syringe as your journal slips out of your grasp. What the heck?
Panic erupts from your stomach and you try to scream but your voice catches in your throat. You set your feet and push yourself up, thinking only of fleeing. Who is this man? Why would he do this? What did he inject you with?
The horror courses through you the mysterious serum. Your vision hazes at the edges as you stumble on your wobbly legs, teetering back and forth. The man puts his arms out as you stagger and he brings you against him, hushing you as your head lolls back. Your eyes widen as he pets your forehead.
“Shhh, it’s okay, sweetheart,” he embraces you, “don’t fight it.”
You can only choke out a splintered moan. You hear more people. A group chattering as their footsteps echo up the path. He draws you into him, pushing your head forward to hide your face against his shoulder. He sways and coos as heaviness floods your limbs.
“Love you, baby,” he says loudly for the passing audience, kissing the top of your head.
You groan and try to fight him off. You only manage to lean harder into him. Your legs slacken as he’s the only thing holding you up. The group passes as they continue to talk about some party. You blink and your lashes stick together.
“Just breathe, it feels good once you let it happen,” he coaxes, “breathe, sweetheart.”
You take a breath, chest hammering, and let it out. Before you can expel all the air from your lungs, the world is black. You collapse into the void and the snare of this man.

JUSTICE LEAGUE ROMANCE TROPES.
characters written about in this piece: bruce wayne, clark kent, diana prince, barry allen, oliver queen, dinah lance
note : i LOVED this idea so much i literally like it is literally 5 in the morning i wrote it in an hour i was so hyped !! hopefully it was what you were asking for, thanks for requesting !
Tumblr media
BRUCE WAYNE — grumpy x sunshine
okay you guys saw this coming. he's literally batman, and there's a lot of debate about whether or not batman is the real persona,, so NATURALLY i think a grumpy x sunshine thing would go well with him. i did also read somewhere that his sexuality is villains, but who says a villain can't be happy go lucky ???? wait because i literally feel a fic coming up... batman x golden retriever!villain like... ????? but it's like, batman / bruce is known as just this rain cloud, no emotion, but with you he just melts and his heart grows warm, as does his tough exterior. he's used to having a family now, going through failed relationships (whore lol) but meeting you is just different. has he been dating the wrong people all his life ?
CLARK KENT — strangers to lovers
a romance blossoms with clark as a chance encounter. two tired office workers caught in the rain, the bus is late, they agree to flag down a taxi and share one together, but fuck you've forgotten your wallet (just your luck) so clark insists it's okay that he can pay, but you're not leaving that easy, you ask for his business card so you can call him when you're free to pay him back (you say you'll pay him half, but you actually pay him full). when you meet him again, you either ask to meet halfway at a park somewhere, or go up to the daily planet. "just in case a situation like this ever happens again" clark asks for your card too, but instead just calls you one night as you're eating a takeaway in front of your tv to (really shyly) ask you if you're seeing anyone and if you'd like him to take you out sometime :)))
DIANA PRINCE — "who did this to you?"
I JUST SCREAMed at protective!diana LIKE ???? i was going through pinterest looking for ideas to help and i saw this microtrope and i was like yes this is the one. like imagine heavily injured / on the brink of death, laying in a hospital bed or in the infirmary of the jl station, and your lover ( / friend / enemy / ????? ) diana storms in maddd as hell and shés like "who did this to you??? are you okay??? what happened??? more importantly who tf hurt you ????" so you tell her, and she spends some time with you, but as soon as your eyes begin to droop closed, she is Gone. diana isn't one to kill i don't think, she tries to see the good in everybody, but this person hurt you. maybe death isn't what's coming for them, but she'll make sure it counts.
BARRY ALLEN — best friends to lovers
what better way to form a romantic relationship with someone, than through a platonic friendship with them? barry knows you like the back of his hand, you know him like the back of yours. you've watched each other go through relationship after relationship, always wondering why your heart droops at the news of a new person in the mix, slightly altering your dynamic, but pings up again once it finds out the relationship had sizzled out. there was something aching between you, but that was just what friendships were like, right ? so why didn't you feel it with anyone else ? it turned into something more when external people began noticing too, asking if you were already dating,, and it became more obvious that perhaps your friendship could be something else.
OLIVER QUEEN — flirt x oblivious
ollie queen is a crippling flirt. he's used to a mere wink sending the ladies whirling, add an "oh yeah?" to the end of his sentence and he can see the dust of a blush along someone's cheeks. he knows the ins and outs. so why can't he flirt with you ??? WHY WONT YOU BLUSH ??? OR EVEN FLIRT BACK ??? you're oblivious !!!! he will compliment your appearance, the way you fight in battle, the way you spar (and purposely pin you down, but get off with a huff when you chuckle and say he's got you down already, no need to keep you there). he starts spending so much time with you, offering himself up to go on patrol / missions just so he can spend time bugging you. but it starts getting too much, until he realises he can't say a word around you. why is he getting tongue tied ?? he doesn't ?? oh god *gag* he.. likes you ???? it isn't until now, with him being more nervous around you, beginning to actually avoid you, that you start to notice.
DINAH LANCE — rivals to lovers
when i say rivals i don't mean properly pitting against each other, not by any means,, i mean say you're also in the justice league as well, a hero, whatever you like,,,, whenever you're put together on a mission together, it's a competition between who can take out the most bad guys, save the most innocents, who gets there the fastest etc. it's technically friendly bants but there's some competitiveness behind it that isn't exactly fake. you're friends / acquaintances for sure, but what happens when a kiss is on the stakes ??? "person who takes out the most of joker's henchmen gets a kiss from the winner"

The lyrical essay in the series
(Thanks to Ms. Maneki-Neko's class 😅)
***Pretty sure everyone noticed the lines being recited, mostly during the end of each episode. I thought that the lines are pretty interesting and give added context to TianWang's story 😊. The essay is recited by Jiang Tian in the series. Also, since the series is on-going, this will be a work-in-progress.***
The cicadas in that summer were more noisy than in any other year. The lush branches outside the classroom windows couldn't block the sunshine. The breeze blew through the treetops, and the sun shined brightly. They were so young.
from Episode 1: "He's NOT my brother"
He is like a tree, without happiness or sadness. A part of his body will be sleeping in the earth peacefully; a part will be dancing with the wind joyfully; a part will be providing green shade willingly; and a part will be bathing in the sunshine warmly. So quiet and so proud will he be that he won't have to depend on anyone, or search for anything. (Tian's note: Lyrical essays set the mood without being explicit, like placing an arm around his shoulder to subtly show I've already got him on my side.)
from Episode 2: "Getting close is just lips touching"
Deep into the night, all is silent. I don't know which cicada it is, but it suddenly lets out a long cry. Even though it's late summer, I feel a flutter like it's early spring.
from Episode 4: "The glamorous end of the century"
A young man's heart is unpredictable as June weather, heavy rain pouring and clouds overhead, feeling like it will never end. But when the rain stops, it's all bright again with the sun hanging up high.
From Episode 5: "Closed, as the wind rises..."
The gods take away people's fears. Young men's love is intense and passionate. At that moment, the sunset bathed the winding Tamsui River. Stained-glass windows were outlines in a golden hue, and the feather on the clasp had a glowing edge. Time, like this blessing, feels gentle and everlasting.
From Episode 7: "Belonging. Let's live in the dorm together"
A young man's heartbeat is a midsummer wasteland. It's endless and untamed. When the wind blows, the wild grass stretches out to the horizon.
From Episode 11: "Kissing is just two lips touching?"
Bonus not part of the lyrical writing (usually quoted from Wang, either at the beginning or end of the ep):
There are about seven billion people on Earth, if each person's average lifespan is 80 years, you may encounter 1,000 people per day, and you will meet about 292 million people all your life. The probability of two people meeting is 0.00417. If you like him, and he also likes you, you're the only one for each other. That probability is only 0.0000173...
(Tian on the mathematics of finding The On1y One)
In everyone's life, there will be the very moment, a special one on which your mind lingers. That's the most important memory in your life. Every time you think of it, you will have a special feeling in your heart.
(Wang on memories and special moments)
from Episode 1: "He's NOT my brother"
At that moment, I completely forgot what the English teacher had said about the difference between "up to you" and "down to you". It wasn't until later that I realised when Jiang Tian said those words, my world was already upside down. My world was turned upside down.
from Episode 3: "Actually, we can give it a try"
Venus and Mars are in a 180-degree opposition, creating a powerful and intense attraction. The impossible can be possible. A twist, and it's the glamorous end of the century.
from Episode 4: "The glamorous end of the century"
If there's only one person in the world who can understand you, he is the most important. I just know there's a time for everything. I should go a little wild while I'm young. After all, I'll have decades ahead to play it safe. What's the rush?
From Episode 6: "When will the schedule start?"
Isn't there a saying that when you can drop the pretense and comfortably share both troubles and joys, you'll become friends?
(Tian's thought while looking at Wang)
When I feel abandoned by the world and think nothing I do will make a difference, I forget that someone with no place to call home is still trying so hard for me and giving his all to protect me.
(Wang's thought on Tian while the latter is frantically looking for him)
From Episode 7: "Belonging. Let's live in the dorm together"
A girl's shyness is like a tender cherry under the sunlight...16- and 17-year-olds are like fruits in the morning sun, sparkling.
(Passages read by Wang from the Guide to Lyrical Writing)
It's like something straight out of the Guide to Lyrical Writing. All 16- and 17-year-olds are shining.
(Tian reminiscing as he finally empties his suitcase)
From Episode 8: "16- and 17-year-olds are shining"
The book says that 16- and 17-year-olds are shining. As summer wanes, some cicadas never escape the earth, trapped the whole season. Meanwhile, someone is stuck at midsummer's end, waiting for his one and only.
From Episode 9: "Exposing youth fearlessly"
It's precisely these movements and advancements that broke down walls. And because of these so-called boundaries, we get the chance to enter each other's worlds and understand one another. So, do you think I'm invading your world now, or are you invading mine?
From Episode 10: "Thief. Who is about to cross the line?"

i didn't win the wheel: episode 6
would you believe me if i said i thought i was ready for how depressed doing this series was going to make me, but i was wrong? i am stupid. i am actually stupid.
Tumblr media
Logan (in the most deadpan, empty, listless voice I have ever heard and I've worked with middle schoolers): "We will be playing a mini football– foosball– ah, game... and first to five– whoever wins–"
[he looks up at Alex, then points to the camera]
Logan the Game Show Host: "⭐⭐ Gets to spin that wheel ⭐⭐"
jesus christ, i remember starting this series, first rewatching it all, and realizing that i could literally watch everything drain out of logan episode by episode. i just.. legitimately forgot how quickly that happens. how few episodes there are. let me TRY to find something good... anyways, The Bit is back. at this point in the show logan is doing pretty much all the introductions, so alex has very much settled into his role of "can i play with this while you're talking? okay thanks :)". logan actually tries to direct his attention to the camera more than once as he's introducing it, because alex is just fidgeting away... but it's not restless or hyperactive or excited. it's like he's matching logan's energy. logan is dejected, lifeless, bored; alex is an absolute mirror right in the very introduction of the video which, um, not a good look if you're the editor. and then logan does his little thing and looks right at alex, even as he's moving away, and then *all of the sudden* there's this brilliant smile and he's actually laughing... and alex, who at first only laughs a little (because logan's dark cloud is raining on them both today) meets logan's eyes and hears the laugh and THEN his sunshine is back. look at how quickly he glances from logan back to the camera... it's like he's just unexpectedly been given his cue. oh! look at that! this is actually fun?? we're having fun?? listen to him i think we're having fun!
Tumblr media
sorry to dash your hopes, alex. after the one glint of laughter, logan is immediately locked in, i mean look at him he's practically gritting his teeth. meanwhile alex isn't quite having fun– he's losing by a lot– but he's trying to sort of jumpstart some fun anyway. the whole time he's making his little noises like "aaaAAA!" or "oooOOoo" that don't really mean anything, but it's kind of like when you're trying to get your dog to do something it doesn't want to do... you put all the emphasis in your voice and pretend that the bath or whatever is actually THE BEST PLACE EVER and SUPER SUPER FUN just to get the task over with. to get participation. and logan is... well, he's participating in the game, but he's not participating in alex's game. and alex seems awkward and alone and like he's trying too hard, because he is. because he's expecting a little bit of banter, a little bit of anything from logan's side that he can sort of coax into something eventually, because if anyone can bring logan out of his shell it's alex. but right now he's left with nothing. logan's doing what he's told. he happens to be alongside alex. that's all alex is getting.
Tumblr media
ugh, thank god that's over. we're warming up a little! only took the most painful game of foosball i've ever secondhand experienced. alex spent the whole time losing, but not only did he not really lock in, he also didn't stop talking for more than five seconds for, like, the whole game. "what team are you, by the way?" straight up asking useless questions just to get something. i said earlier that alex's exuberance comes out extra when he's around logan– subconsciously or consciously– but this is a very solid, definitive example of what it looks like when it's intentional. he's nearly embarrassing himself. he sounds like an absolute goofball because he's trying so hard to bring the energy up. because they've done this before, they've played together, they've connected, they've had fun, why can't it be like before? why can't they find their own little world away from all the shitshow around them just for three minutes like they used to? he's trying too hard and he doesn't really know how and it shows.
but look, we got that little win celebration. FINALLY. some emotion!! never mind the fact that there's literally no eye contact... hmm, wonder how alex will react to this?
Tumblr media
[Logan is declared the winner, cute little transition graphic]
Alex: "Disgusting defeat..."
Logan: "5 - 1... I'll give it to you, I had a little practice trial before–"
Alex: "To be honest with you, I don't think it owuld have made a difference."
Logan: "A little..." (cuts himself off because he's laughing)
aaaaahhhhh that's refreshing. okay. you know what this reminds me of? episode two. "you're a lot better at golf than me, so i expect you to do well." neither of them approach these challenges with the arrogant, hyperbolic confidence of carlos and charles (which is always hilarious and adorable between those two but anyways) but they're generally pretty confident. competitive, like all drivers. i have yet to see a put down from one to the other stronger than the infamous wink of episode one but i can only count two instances where they're putting themselves down. logan did it first when alex was getting distracted by his own anxiety. and here alex does it. why? because he spent the whole damn game trying to break the ice and WHEN DID IT BREAK? at the win. at the hands-in-the-air, the cheering, the laughter. so now he's going to go after that feeling like he's cracked the case. he exaggerates not only his own defeat but also apparently his skill level? logan tries to sort of put them on an even plane and alex is like hell no i ain't messin with this self confidence moment. he's found some momentum, he's running with it, he's not going to drop it now. still fidgety but now turned almost all the way in to face logan. no eye contact, but not gazing all over the place either, he's listening. he's listening carefully. knowing the moves to make. and you know what?
Tumblr media
Logan: "I mean you did score an oggie to lose, little own-goal.. but, uh–"
Alex (laughing): "Oggie..."
Logan: "Little oggie, oggie..."
(Alex is still laughing)
Logan: "But you know the deal. That means... I get to spin that wheel–"
(he and Alex immediately start laughing before he can completely round off the sentence)
it fucking works. it did take me a while to figure out what oggie meant because i'm culturally inept and even more so when it comes to anything to do with sport. anyway, it's a silly word, and alex has such a low threshold for what he finds funny (even LOWER if it's said by logan) that he can't help but laugh and repeat it to himself, and then because he's laughing logan goes ahead and repeats it again. looking over at him to catch the smile on his face. and of course alex can't even hold the eye contact because now he's flustered, because he wasn't ready for happy logan today and he doesn't know how to play it cool at the best of times... also standing that stiff with his hand on his hip so he can continue to face like 80% towards logan? is not playing it cool? logan smiles and alex remembers how head over heels he is. love to see it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Logan: "So. Let's get into it."
Alex (frat boy Logan voice): "boom. spin that wheel babyyy"
(brief moment where he clearly has no idea what he just said)
Alex (normal voice): "What?"
(surprised and hysterical burst of laughter)
first of all, alex leaning into logan (while logan puts his own hand on his hip to make room) and putting his chin in his hand is fucking adorable. alex in general is adorable but can you imagine him acting this way with literally anybody else? even george? think about it the answer is no. moving on:
sometimes alex reaches the point of his silliness where nothing he says makes sense, even to his own ears. on team torque logan is obviously pretty used to the glittery moments of nonsense, but this is so random and so stupid that logan's laugh sounds like he was very much caught off guard, and then alex is laughing at himself and they're both cracking up and they have to visibly switch gears to focus on the wheel as it gets to a prize. because after all this they've finally gotten to ✨their space✨ and it's surprising because neither of them thought that was going to happen today! and it's a relief! but it's at the end of the activity. and we've gotten to a point where ✨their space✨ can only exist in little bubbles, little pre-designed staged moments when they're not in real life anymore they're just in a video. and then the video ends and real life is back and how are they supposed to keep pretending like the world isn't falling apart for one of them? how is that space sustainable in the real world?
so basically alex had to jump through eight and a half hoops to get to this point and it's over as soon as it's begun. because he doesn't get to have this part of logan in a way that he can keep. that part is off-limits to him, closed off by the neglect and the depression and the constant self-deprecation that is unspoken but visible from a mile away. logan's losing f1, he's losing his seat, he's losing his team, and alex isn't even comprehending that he's losing logan. he's not giving up his prompting or joking even when it gets awkward, even when logan might even consciously be shutting him out, because he's not willing to except that this is ending prematurely. "it ain't over til it's over" well alex fucking needs that. he needs every last second of logan he can get before they're torn apart and he doesn't want to spend those seconds looking at him between iron bars but that's what it feels like. because logan isn't allowed to have happiness and alex isn't allowed to have logan.
fucking hell

The death of Mrs. Doran Basu was received like a rain to all the dozen members.
Some were sad for the lost of a Basu family member as some got sad for the lost of the sunshine when the sky was completely covered by the heavy and dark rain clouds.
Some were indifferent to it, as it didn’t change much in their lives since the ceiling of their houses covered their heads and the fact they didn’t know the woman made her loss a simple fact to flown down with the rain.
Some others, the smallest parcel, got hopeful with the news. Like people got hopeful that the rain would bring renovation to the earth, that the rain would bring abundance and fertility to the land, that a Basu was now a free man again, one that could get be married again.
And everyone who had eyes to see could notice that Deviya Sharma was a part of the smaller group. And Ram had two very functional eyes.
Of course he knew. He knew Deviya better than anyone else. Their lives had been tied together although only his heart had been tied to hers. So ever since the first time he had been in the same room as Mr. Basu and Deviya he knew.
That particular shine on her eyes only existed around the older man. Not around her tiger, not around her friends, not around Ram. Only around Doran Basu. Only for him and no one else. And that knowledge should not be able to hurt Ram, not as much as it did.
But it did.
Even if his feelings were reciprocated, he highly doubted that his brother would have allowed him to marry Deviya. His responsibility for the Doobay Family and for the temple of The Dark Mother were greater than any second son could ever even imagine. But that responsibility, that honor, was also an obligation, something that prevented him for doing the things that he wanted, to reaching for the things and for the one that he so desperately craved for.
But that responsibility was not the thing keeping him apart from Deviya.
Deviya was the one doing that.
She and the love that she caried. The love for another man.
Another man that could now be married to her. Another man that could give her everything that Ram never could. Another man, the one she actually loved and that so clearly loved her back.
Because, how could he not?
How could someone ever look into her eyes and not love her? How could someone ever see her smile and not be ready to move mountains on her name? How could someone hear her laugh or hold her on their arms and not be ready to give her anything she asked for? How could someone be around her almost all the time and not be ready to die for her? How could someone not love Deviya Sharma?
With the silly jokes she made when she was bored on meetings or the way every time she was telling a funny story she always was the first one to start laughing, even before she got into the funny part. With the way she was always ready to fight or sacrifice anything for her friends, even for him, even for Ram. With the way she defended the Sharma Family name, putting it above her own goals and happiness as if she was born to protect it. With the way she had been ready to die and be born again to protect their people, their country, to free them.
So how could someone not love Deviya Sharma? How could someone who had the honor, the blessing, of being loved by her, not love her back?
Simply. They couldn’t.
Because Doran Basu loved her back, and that was the worst part.
If he didn’t, maybe in a couple of years Deviya could forget about Doran Basu. Maybe she could accept Ram’s love without needing to give it back, and that would’ve been more than enough for him. Because he could care enough for the both of them, because he could love her enough for the both of them. Maybe one day she could even love her back.
But now that was an impossible destiny. Their fates had been sealed.
Deviya was the head of her house. No one could stop her from doing as she seemed fit. And no one would even try. Marrying with a Basu was the best alliance anyone could make, and surely the new head of the Basu family would not get in the way for that union, she would even be happy about it. About the happiness of her friend. The happiness that Deviya seemed to emanate ever since the news arrived.
The couple would probably only wait until after Holi to get married, although knowing Deviya and how she liked to do things as soon as possible, they could get married on the next day after Doran’s mourning period was over. And then, on that day, Ram would be the one to marry the only one he had ever loved to someone else.
What could ever be more torturous than that? Than watching the one you loved fall in love with someone else? Than having to see that that love grow each day more? Than being the one to make that love official for the entire world?
One day he would have to watch that.
One day he would be forced by his obligation to marry Deviya to the man she actually loved. He would be forced to watch the happiness she would feel to be called Doran’s wife for the first time. He would watch her children grow from afar, looking like the perfect mix between Deviya and the one she actually loved. He would watch as she grows old on another man’s side and as she was thankful for an entire life on his side.
One that he would.
But until that day arrived, he continued to watch as the rain fell down, bringing to him nothing but despair.

By Chance or Fate: Part Two
Tumblr media
Plot: Part of you didn't actually think Hyunjin was going to text you to make plans. But he did, and now you are waiting in a park to see him again. But, the clouds are growing darker by the second, and Hyunjin still hasn't arrived.
-Part One-
Pairing: Hwang Hyunjin x Gn!Reader
-Meet-Cute Series-
Words: 1.9k
Tumblr media
You didn't know time could pass so slowly until today. It was barely mid-day but you felt like you had watched the clock tick by for an entire day, as you nervously wandered around your apartment.
But now you were nervously waiting in the park. Your eyes darted around every few moments as you waited impatiently, and nervously for Hyunjin to come into view.
Honestly, you had been surprised when he had actually texted you with the desire to see you again. You thought maybe all that talk of fate and chance was just a romantic whimsy when he met a stranger in the rain. You thought the desire to see you would fade after a day or two. But he insisted, and you were happy to agree.
Looking down at the ground your eyes found your shadow and you took in a deep breath. You had no idea what was going to happen today with Hyunjin, and that scared you, but more than that, it excited you. He was gorgeous and kind, and you seemed so similar to one another. So the fact that he seemed to be genuinely interested, made you ecstatic.
Seeing your shadow fade as the ground grew dark, you looked up and your heart sank. Where had all these dark clouds come from? There were no clouds earlier, it was all blue skies and sunshine before. You swallowed as your anxiety piqued.
Looking around, you hoped Hyunjin would suddenly materialize with a plan to go somewhere else, or maybe an umbrella at least. Why was it always the days you didn't have one that it rained? Would you have to carry one around with you every day now?
Your foot started bouncing nervously as the wind began to pick up. The trees shaking and a few leaves scattering to the ground around you.
"Shit." You muttered as you looked around again for Hyunjin.
Feeling a small drop of rain hit your hand, you looked up again as the sky rumbled softly. Another raindrop hit your cheek, before you could hear raindrops lightly hitting the ground all around you.
You stood up, looking around almost panicked as you started heading towards the park entrance. Pulling out your phone you were going to text Hyunjin, telling him you were gong to take shelter nearby. Hopefully he would see it and not think you stood him up.
Before you could type out your message, a bright flash of lightning was paired with a loud crack of thunder, making you jump in fear and drop your phone on the sidewalk.
Gasping, you cursed as you picked up your phone, immediately noticing the smashed screen. "No, no no" you begged silently as you were unable to turn on the phone.
Your thoughts were once again distracted as the rain began to grow harder. Cursing again you rose, now running out of the park as you eyed the various building across the street. Surely you could go into one?
You looked around desperately for Hyunjin, hoping you might find him before he thinks you've left. Now unable to text him, he may truly think you stood him up.
Running past building after building, all of which were private or closed, you began to feel desperate. Rounding the corner, you slid to a halt when you almost ran into someone.
Your heart skipped violently when your eyes met Hyunjin's peeking through his wet black hair.
"Hyunjin!" You almost gasped out.
Hyunjin was out of breath, having began running to get to you before the rain got too hard. He hoped you would still be there, that he would still find you, he didn't want to miss you because of the rain. Not when it was what brought you to him in the first place.
When you rounded the corner and his eyes locked onto your now-drenched figure, he felt relief wash over him.
Realization and relief passed over his face as he smiled. But as another rumble of thunder shook you, Hyunjin quickly grabbed your wrist and tugged you back down the sidewalk.
"Come on! I saw a cafe down here!"
Your voice failed you as you followed him, letting him pull you along. Relief flooding you now that you didn't have to worry about missing him entirely.
As you made your way into the small entrance room of the cafe, you both took a moment to breathe. As he caught your eyes, you felt yourself freeze. You forgot how breathtaking he looked until now, with his hair wet from the rain, framing his face only adding to his beauty. If you hadn't just spent the last minute running, you would be breathless just from the sight in front of you.
As a smile began to spread across his face, it became contagious. You both let out incredulous laughter, turning into giggles as you were met with the hostess of the cafe.
When you were sat down at a small table in the corner, Hyunjin smiled brightly at you. "I'm sorry I was a bit late. When it started raining, I was really afraid I would miss you."
You nodded softly, "You almost did." You admitted with a soft smile.
His smile was still present as he shook his head. "But I didn't, that's what's important." His smile widened a bit as he seemed to think something over. "You ran right to me unknowingly."
His words from the first day you met ran through your mind. You smiled, as your voice took on a teasing tone. "Kind of like fate huh?"
His eyes widened a bit as his smile grew and he let out a soft laugh. It was a joke, but he couldn't help but believe it. And as his stare hardened, piercing you with a soft intensity, you couldn't help but believe it a bit too.
Hyunjin's eyes flicked down to the menu that had been sat in front of him, he ran his hand over it lightly. "I guess our walk in the park turned into a cafe date huh?"
As your heart skipped at this, you noticed the way he tensed, as though he didn't mean to say it. Slowly he looked up at you and could tell you didn't miss it.
A small shy smile formed on his face as he sat up a bit more. "You don't mind me calling it that do you. A date?" His tone made his nervousness obvious, but the soft hope in his eyes mirrored what you were feeling.
You wanted to nod your head and tell him you love the idea, but you held back. Instead, you spoke softly, your own bashfulness coming through, which Hyunjin couldn't help but find endearing.
"Do you want it to be a date?" He nodded, unable to find his words again just yet. You smiled at him, "Me too. So yes, it's okay."
Hyunjin pinched his leg from under the table to resist showing the excitement rushing through him. He smiled a bit brighter as he nodded, finding his voice creeping back.
"Then let me buy you a coffee or something."
"Are you sure?" You followed, feeling a bit guilty. "I can pay, it's alright."
He shook his head, "Let me. If it makes you feel better, you can say it's to get even for making you get drenched in the rain."
You giggled softly. "That's not your fault. Based on the fact that neither of us had umbrellas, again, neither of us were expecting it to rain."
Hyunjin giggled, recalling the first day you met, trapped in the rain umbrella-less, just like now.
One hot drink turned into two and then three, paired with scones and other pastries you insisted on paying for. The rain persisted, but neither of you cared. Whether you were in the cafe for an hour or three, you couldn't tell. Time was not moving around you, or so it felt. People came and went, rushing through the rain with or without umbrellas. But the two of you sat together refusing to budge, you talked, laughed, shared smiles and bashful gazes.
And it felt, perfect.
Hyunjin's words died at his lips when he caught your gaze out the window. It reflected the same calm beauty you held the first day you met. You were looking out at the rain then too, and just like that moment, Hyunjin felt like drawing you. He had already done it nearly a dozen times since that day. Sketched in pencil, pen, charcoal, oil pastels, everything except paint, which is what he wanted to do now as he looked at you. You had become his muse over the last week and now he was itching to do more.
Looking over at him, your breath caught when you saw the way Hyunjin was looking at you. No, not looking, admiring, his gaze was soft, but it seemed to take in every part of you. You almost felt like you were under a microscope.
Your nervously fidgeted as you let out a soft breathy laugh, "Is something wrong?"
Hyunjin, realizing he got caught staring at you shook his head, letting out an awkward laugh. "No, no, sorry, I just..." he faltered, uncertain if he should just tell you what he was thinking.
Catching your eyes again, he took in a sharp breath, something about the way you looked at him, made him speechless.
"You have a great profile." He muttered out and you tilted your head a bit. 'Cute' he thought before quickly continuing, "I draw, and paint, and you just- you have...a good profile."
Your smile brightened and he felt his heart flip. "You think so?" You asked earnestly and he smiled, nodding.
"Yeah, it's really nice to draw too." You saw his eyes widen a bit as you realized what he meant, what he just let slip.
He had drawn you? You felt your heart pounding as your neck and ears got hot. "Hyunjin...did you draw me?"
Hyunjin wanted nothing more than to curl up into a ball in this moment. Instead he just sheepishly smiled, swallowing his pride. "Yeah, I did. Sorry, is that weird?"
You quickly shook your head, "No no it's actually...really sweet, and much more of a compliment than you think." You admitted.
It was true, the idea that he took time to draw you, that he wanted to draw you was astonishing.
"You think so?" He was stunned at your response, but ecstatic too.
You nodded with a smile, and his relief and excitement grew. "Is it possible for me to see it, some time?"
Hyunjin nodded, "Yeah!" As an idea entered his head, he leaned forward, "Maybe...maybe I could show you my studio, and the drawings, and then maybe...I could paint you?"
Your heart seemed to explode in your chest. "You want to paint me?" Your voice came out soft, expressing your surprise.
He just smiled and nodded, "You've kind of become my muse recently." He admitted, no longer feeling embarrassed.
You hoped the way his words affected you weren't obvious on your face as you repressed your shy grin.
"What do you say?" He asked softly.
You eyed him for a moment before nodding, "Yeah, okay. That sounds nice."
"Good, we can make it another date." He grinned, effectively making your heart explode again.
You didn't care anymore what it was that brought you and Hyunjin together. You just cared that you were in each other's lives at all.
And Hyunjin didn't care if you were meant to run into him or not, if it was all by fate, or if you were meant to be just another passing stranger. Nothing could take you from him now, not without a fight.
xx End xx

"you make my life better." i met you and my smile is so big it hurts my cheeks. the sun seems brighter, this chocolate chip cookie tastes sweeter. i'm looking forward to tomorrow because you'll be there. your birthday is one of the best days of my life. oh my God, oh my God, this is terrifying—oh wait, there you are. it's not so bad anymore, actually. thank you for being here—for choosing to be here—with little old me in this brief moment in time when you could share it with anyone, anywhere in this very beautiful, very daunting, very big world.

Dean leans heavily against the wall, watching Castiel, for a moment, it last only a breath or maybe a hundred years, but soon he is stepping outside too, making his way to the metal railing of the room's balcony and leaning on it, putting all his weight on his forearms.
He never really cared about getting a room with a balcony, not caring about anything else but about having a bed to sleep on, comfortable or not, because beggars can't be choosers.
"It's nice that they created an extra space for simply stepping outside to breathe in some fresh air."
Dean cares about getting a room with a balcony now.
Castiel never asks for anything, he wasn't even asking for a damn thing when he said that, solely stating an opinion, but Dean listened anyway.
He himself thinks it's nice too, he misses having windows and both natural light and air sometimes.
He watches Castiel's profile as the angel stares up at where thousands of stars would be looking back at him if it wasn't for the dark clouds looming above them. He straightens up and wraps an arm around Cas' shoulders, it takes him a moment to get the cue, even with Dean tugging on gently to get him to move closer, but, after a few beats, Castiel turns to stare at Dean, with a sheepish smile on his lips, and steps closer to him, letting his arm close around Dean's waist.
Dean feels a drop landing on the hand he has closed around the railing. It's the first and last one he feels, of course, not because the sky decides it actually doesn't want it to rain, he can still hear the drops falling and meeting every surface around them, the sound getting stronger, but because he has his own umbrella, one he can't see or touch, keeping him warm and dry. He looks at Cas and mutters a quick "thanks, sunshine." Still bringing Dean light even in such a cloudy evening.
Castiel doesn't say anything but he does reach out with his free hand, closing it over the side of his face, he gently tilts Dean's head down so he can kiss his forehead, he lets his nose slide over Dean's before lightly bumping his forehead against the spot on Dean's where his lips were just touching his skin, and it warms Dean to the core, feels like home, feels like salvation.
Like even if God and every angel in Heaven might hate Dean, there is still something holy protecting him in the world, willing to offer the last drops of its weakened grace to save him from every danger, a certain death or a couple droplets of rain. Despite the blood dripping from his hands and his knives, his mistakes and flaws.
One of the hands that rebuilt him and brought him back to life raises, combing his hair, that is still slightly damp from the shower he just took, back and out of his face, swiping away a stray tear as it goes up.
He hugs Cas closer, he would give anything to protect him too, despite the blood dripping from his hands and his blade, his mistakes and flaws.
The both of them are a bit broken inside, healing together, leaning on each other for a support they have never really known before.
Castiel rests his head on his shoulder, keeping them both away from the cold kiss of the falling rain, and it warms Dean to the core, it feels like home, feels like salvation.

There are too many similarities between the batfam and Questers and I know I’ve done this before but imma do it again because I have more info and people and yeah
Ripred: Ripred is Batman 100% he’s old, cranky, the rain cloud surrounded by sunshines. Also kinda emotionally constipated but you can tell he cares.  Gregor: gregor is Dick for sure, his first born, the kid who accepts him without question and trusts him and pulls him from his self destructive tendencies. Also super sassy and most like him. They understand each other at a deeper level than anyone else and yeah Luxa: Luxa is Jason, she almost dies, she tries to kill Ripred a few times, and Gregor, but they have an understanding now and Ripred loves her and she begrudgingly likes him. Rocky start, again, tries to kill him when they first meet and wishes he’d keel over at least 3 times, but is super smart and seeks his guidance, and at the end they form a bond  Aurora: Timothy Drake for sure. Smart, resourceful, doesn’t talk much and also doesn’t seem to sleep that much either, a big fan of Gregor and Luxa, I do believe she’s also sassy if she got more lines, and really loyal. Accepts ripreds presence but really parents him more than he parents her. Totally saves his life and he’s like upset but kinda proud and she holds it over his head forever Ares: ARES IS LITERALLY DAMIAN. He’s moody, dangerous, powerful, adores the fuck out of Gregor, calms only for him, likes Ripred because of Gregor, moody bastard again, loves Luxa.  Howard: Stephanie Brown. He’s not technically Ripreds child he just showed up one day with the rest of the gang and Ripred had to accept it, is tight with Gregor and Luxa, and puts up with Ripred for the most part Nike: is Cassandra Cain. Literal princess, amazing, sassy, cute, strong and cheerful. Strong moral compass and appreciates Ripred for his skills and understands where he’s coming from.  Boots: Duke Thomas. Little “innocent” menace. Technically ripreds child through certain things but not really but he still takes care of her.  Temp: Luke Fox. Boots dad. Also ripreds equal. To an extent seeing as Ripred doesn’t actually consider anyone his equal but is his equal. They share custody of Boots.  Lizzie: Lizzie is Barbara Gordon, Ripred respects her, they understand each other, she’s also not technically his child but he loves her and by association to Gregor she’s his kid. They get along and she’s one of the only people who can make him eat and sleep and take care of himself because she’s terrifying when angry.  Lapblood: Selina Kyle. Badass, half parents Ripred’s kids by herself, close with Gregor

want to share a line or two from comphet dorcissa? or if you want a specific question: what do you think adrienne rich's opinion on dorcas would be lol?
wip game!
Okay I love that question (although in this fic, it's Narcissa suffering a bad case of comphet but god I could write ages about THAT (and and and how it intersects with trans!narcissa like?? oh)) and lowkey I'm itching to write an essay now but I have actual essays to write and I don't have time until next week at the earliest SO I am making a mental note of that (please note that I've literally just downloaded Compulsory Heterosexuality and Lesbian Existence to my ereader, I'm gonna find more people talking about, I'm not kidding, this will come.)
For now, comphet dorcissa oneshot:
This is a collab with @brokentoasterrr in which Narcissa is engaged and close to marrying Lucius when she figures why that thought has been making her anxious and miserable the whole time. Inspired by a tweet about someone going to a hair saloon to cut off her gorgeous long locks and get them dyed platinum while her phone keeps ringing like crazy. She does that. Engagement's over. Then she meets Dorcas her first time entering a gay bar. The focus is mainly on Narcissa figuring herself out though (and then smut).
Excerpt under the cut:
“We should start thinking about producing an heir.”
Up until this point, their impending marriage has been at the forefront of Narcissa’s mind. It’s something she’s neither dreaded nor been more than moderately excited about: the inevitable next step in what has thus far been an uneventful and therefore perfectly suitable relationship with Lucius Malfoy. But this… this clinical outlook on their future together—producing an heir, a child, with Lucius’ weird, long chin and his cold, spindly fingers. A child with his name but Narcissa’s dark hair and pointy nose, makes something cold and heavy settle in her stomach. A sharp, stiff gust of cold wind that rushes through the dining room, settling deep in her; it makes her stop.
She stills, completely, gazing out the window. The sky is gray with rain clouds, and it feels fitting, despite the late summer month and the fact that not an hour earlier, she’d been wishing for sunshine and the excuse it brought her to get out of the manor for a bit.
“Narcissa, darling?” Lucius says. She shudders at the way darling slips so easily from his lips, and does her best to suppress it. “Are you listening?”
“Hm? Oh, yes.”
Lucius hums. “What do you think about the name Draco?”

ARB Birthday Special: Lola Takahashi
Tumblr media
~~ July 30th ~~
“A wonderful dress can infuse a woman with confidence and inner beauty, empowering the way she moves and feels.”
Login Lines:
“Hm? Oh hey, babes! It’s sooooo good to see you! How you’ve been? Oh? What’s this?”
“Oh gosh, it’s that time of year again, huh? Aw, thank you for the present sweetie! Here’s one from me to you!” *mwah*
Voice Lines:
“On the contrary, I actually like celebrating my birthday. Aside from everyone celebrating me in all my amazing and sexy glory, it does allow me to reflect and I feel proud getting to where I am today. I worked hard, I deserved to be celebrated.”
“My phone keeps blowing up with notifications from my PROFILE, I get a happy birthday message at least every few seconds, don’t get me wrong it’s very sweet and I’m so grateful to my adoring fans but I have to put my phone on silent for the rest of the day.”
“Just like last year, the entirety of Saitama is very keen on celebrating my birthday with me. I’ve been hoping from party to party all day! I don’t mind of course, I love my city dearly and it fills me with such joy seeing everyone enjoying themselves.”
“Sayaka! Sweetness! I’m so happy you managed to show up! Are you having a good time? Oh, I’m so glad! C’mon, let’s head over to the Heaven area, there’s someone I want you to meet-hm? You have something for me?”
“Oh Honey! These are so adorable! I love them! Honestly, it feels like we’ve known each other far longer, I see you as a sister too and I genuinely can’t imagine my life without you, Kureha, and little Yoshiko. Don’t worry about the extravagance this is more priceless than any diamond necklace or platinum earrings I have.”
“Kureha! How’s my little ray of sunshine?! Aw, c’mon, you know I’m kidding, would you feel better if I say that you’re my special little rain cloud? Ahahaha, okay, okay, I’ll stop! So, judging by that look in your eye, you’ve come to give lil ol’ me à présent so come on! Lay it on me!”
“Aw, sweetie! This is so beautiful! It reminds me of your speakers, so very aesthetically pleasing. Hm? The sun is supposed to represent me and the moon is supposed to represent you? Oh god, you’re such a poetic emo, it’s so adorable! Aww, hold on, babe, come back! I was just teasing!”
“Dolly Darling! Thank you thank you thank you soooo much for hosting this party! I’ve been here, there, and everywhere but no place is better than the Afterlife! Look! You even got a statute of me! Damn, that looks good! Hm? Oh I see that look in your eyes, what do you got for me now, pretty?”
“No fucking way!! You actually managed to get it! Ugh, you have no idea how badly I’ve been craving these! Especially since they don’t sell them in Japan anymore! Oh thank you thank you, baby! You’re the best! You treat me so well!”
Sayaka Lines:
“Happy Birthday, Lola! You always know how to throw a fun party, I’m having so much fun! Oh, wait, before we go, I need to give you your present! Here you go, dear!”
“I know it’s not fancy or extravagant as what you usually wear but I had meaning to give you something like this for a while, you’ve always been like a sister to me, way better than the one that I already have and words cannot describe how lucky and grateful I am for having you in my life. I know that our bond is deep to the point where we don’t need something like these but sometimes it’s nice to have a physical reminder of how much family is important.”
Kureha Lines:
“Happy Birthday, Lola. You are the only person that I would endure going to a party longer than 20 minutes for, also could you not call me that?! That’s so cringe, ugh, that’s even worse! Will you just shut up and take this already?”
“I cashed in a favor with a jeweler friend of mine, the design was my idea. I know it looks like my speakers but that’s not the point, the sun represents you because of how brightly you shine and how you always light up the area around you whereas the moon represents me, calm, toned down, a beacon in total darkness…ugh, and with that, I’m leaving. Happy birthday, dumbass.”
Bonus! Dolly Lines:
“Heyyy bitch! Happy birthday to the sexiest whore in the city! You know that I love to do something special just for you, the whole staff was begging me to do a celebration in your honor anyways, I’m just glad you managed to show up. Anyways, I wanted to give you a little something since it’s your big day and all, something tells me that you’re gonna need it after all this.”
“Haha yep, I knew you’d like it. I know how bummed you were when they stopped selling these here so I decided to cash in a little favor and get you a carton, it wasn’t that difficult to get but try not to smoke the whole pack in one sitting, gotta save that beautiful voice of yours, okay? Happy birthday, baby.”
