“D&D Adventurers League, or simply Adventurers League for short, is the organized play association for the Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) roleplaying game which is officially administered by D&D's publisher, Wizards of the Coast. Prior to 2014, it was known as the Role Playing Game Association Network (RPGA Network, or simply RPGA). (From Wikipedia.)” <- including this so “idk/show results” isn’t an option.
If you are not sure if you’ve played an Adventurers League game, you probably didn’t. Adventurers League sessions play by Wizards of the Coast rules, and are primarily played publicly in supported game stores. If you did play, you most likely were given a log by the DM to fill out information about your session, so that your character can be played with other DMs and players in Adventurers League sessions.
If you want to play D&D but don’t have any friends to play with, the Adventurers League is a good way to find a session! I’ve seen a lot of intro/tier 1 sessions meant for beginners to learn. It can be stiff on rules, but games mostly consist of strangers meeting up to play.
My partner and I are dabbling in Adventurer's League so that we can actually play together, rather than just alternating as the DMs for our group. They're playing a half-elf rogue called Kerro, and I went with a human battle master fighter named Cressa. They may or may not be very gay for each other, and enjoy baking bread for homeless children.

Making the Most of an Abjuratiom Wizard in D&D 5th edition
Recently, I dragged my first Adventurers League character, Qisandoral Arreistanus (character sheet on DDB here), out of a long, long retirement for another adventure in our play-by-post group. Qisandoral is a high elf wizard of the Abjuration school. You can think of him as Mr Spock in a fantasy setting. I hadn’t played a wizard in literally years, and since I had leveled up this character a few…
Decided to be more active on this site again so I can post about our D&D and TTRPG sessions if I remember to do that. I’ll try my best to be active on social media since I want to share my love of tabletop games as well as the cool and often funny adventures I run for my lovely players.

this was my first introduction to Generator Rex, to Rex Salazar specifically. I saw it for like a few minutes when I was 8, but these scenes burned themselves into my brain, and in another 10 or so years I re-discovered the show, became obsessed, and memorized every scene from every episode (except the prank one, because that episode was a mistake). Why?
because this scene permanently impacted how I saw heroes. they aren't there to beat the bad guy. they're there to save people. and they do it not because they are forced to, or guilted into it. they do it because they want to. because they care if people get hurt, even if those people are complete strangers.
these scenes are largely responsible for my disdain for modern live-action superhero spectacles, where the heroes "save the day", but leave countless civilians dead.
it is also the reason why I have come to love shows like Justice League Unlimited:
Or Invincible:
or the new show, My Adventures with Superman:
they GET IT. they GET WHY SAVING PEOPLE IS IMPORTANT.
because at the end of the day, it's not beating up the villain of the week that is important. it's saving lives.
Played in an online Adventurers League session for RECCon 2020 Virtual Convention with 3/7 of my main campaign party members and our DM, Hard Hennesy, who's a good friend of ours, decided to draw us a little something 💖
