infodump in the tags about charlotte since she has been appearing more frequently in my thoughts
#oc talk#i said before that shes EXTREMELY attention-seeking. this is a behavior that has been repeated since childhood#and as dumb as it sounds it all started because a stupid ass friend left her alone when she was going through teenager stuff#she was genuinely distressed and tried to talk to her parents about it but since they were so busy working they didnt really paid attention#and she; having a completely black and white mentality; assumed both her friend and parents hated her and started to get nasty#she secretly tried to get everyone else in school to stop talking to her ex friend (according to her); but she didnt succeed#and got even more angry. her anger; from assuming EVERYONE hated her even her own parents; got a point where she couldnt pay attention#all she wanted was 'revenge' from a supposed betrayal. and then this girl got a boyfriend. her last resource was to 'steal' her bf#get a girl who was popular in school + a hormonal teenager and what you get? the bf dumped her lol and then she dumped him a week later#she got her 'revenge' and it felt great!!! but now she was known as the bf stealer or smth and... tbf she didnt mind that much#she now had people's attention even if it was bad. everyone was talking about her and that was good enough.#however she didnt had many friends after that. and the ones she had were kind of manipulated into trusting her.#TIME PASSES and shes now a 23 y/o. her black and white mentality never went away and craves attention way more.#she recently moved to donnarose so technically no one knows about her 'troubling past' as a teen.#finnley and dalila were basically looking for a roomate that could do the house chores for them and in return they can live with them#their house is not that bad so she accepted and left the shitty apartment. and thats how they met! she lived with them for a while#she basically used sweet talk to make them trust her. but when she opened about her past they thought it was interesting lol#keep in mind they still had contact with chase. the guy they started to talk with bc they were curious about him even when hes... himself#so now she tries to keep ALL their attention to herself. she and chase never got to actually meet each other#except finnley mentioning her and 'their housewife lol' sometimes; but i imagine she didnt liked it when they talked about him#well i gotta go to sleep but i dont think the event on her teenhood was what caused it. she was always like that it just made her explode

many things have already been said about how the southern raiders proves that katara and aang are incompatible, but i think the real nail in the coffin isn’t just that TSR reveals a lack of understanding between the two, but a lack of trust.
the minute katara tells aang she’s going to find yon rha, her mother’s murderer, his first question is “um… and what exactly do you think this will accomplish?”
right off the bat, his response to katara’s serious, emotionally-charged announcement comes off as accusatory and condescending, so it’s no wonder that katara responds defensively:
“i knew you wouldn’t understand.”
at this point, aang is supposed to be katara’s closest friend. they’re just weeks away from getting into a lifelong romantic relationship. and yet katara doesn’t respond to aang’s remark the way you would expect someone in her position to react: she shows no betrayal, no disbelief, doesn’t even seem to really be hurt by the fact that her dear, trusted friend doesn’t see why she would want to find the man who murdered her mother.
her choice of words is also particularly telling: she doesn’t say “you know what it will accomplish” (which would indicate that she at least has enough faith in aang to believe that he realizes what this means to her) or even “you don’t understand” (which would be a more realistic response stemming from hurt and anger) but rather “i knew you wouldn’t understand.”
this means that katara, at the point where she and aang should have been closer than ever, didn’t expect his understanding. she didn’t expect his support, or his sympathy, or his compassion. in fact, her reaction suggests that she was prepared for this exact response all along, that all she did expect from aang was precisely what she got —disagreement, dissuasion, and a complete lack of empathy and understanding.
why is this something you would expect of your best friend? shouldn’t you believe that you can count on them for support? shouldn’t you be hurt if they don’t support you? shouldn’t you at least be surprised if they don’t?
katara doesn’t trust aang to do for her even the bare minimum of what a friend should — and at the same time, neither does aang trust katara. he immediately assumes that her trip is about revenge, and then compares her to jet. shouldn’t aang know katara, his dearest friend and the girl he loves, better than this? shouldn’t aang know what katara is and isn’t capable of? shouldn’t he trust her to make the right decision?
instead, it’s zuko, who isn’t even katara’s friend at this point, who insists that it’s about justice and closure, not revenge. it’s zuko who stands by her side without judgement and believes in her to make the right choice. it’s zuko who trusts katara to stay true to herself.
kas love to talk about how kat.aang’s friendship is the perfect basis for their romance, but in TSR it seems like katara and aang aren’t even friends. neither of them trust or understand each other the way friends should, let alone best friends who supposedly harbour romantic feelings. the southern raiders doesn’t just prove that katara and aang would be incompatible in a relationship — it calls the very foundation of their friendship itself into doubt.

Tumblr media
“Why are you letting me go?” I asked the young boy standing in front of me.
“You don’t deserve this,” he replied, tossing the chains aside as he helped me stand. “Come with me.” He held out his hand and I took it, letting him lead me out of the compound.
He led us to a house through some woods behind the compound, promising me we’d be safe there.
“My father doesn’t know about this place. Thor bought it for me when dad sometimes got really drunk and we needed somewhere to hide.”
I didn’t know what to say but thankfully he didn’t seem to mind. He tucked me in the small bed, pulling the covers up to my chin. He reached for the lamp on the nightstand but I stopped him.
“Can you leave the lights on.”
He smiled, though it didn’t meet his eyes. “Of course, little one.”
I jolted awake, breathing heavily as I took in the surrounding room and the throbbing pain in my head.
“Hey, darling,” Loki said softly, gently guiding back to the bed. “Lay back down. It’s alright.” He pressed his lips to my hair as he pulled the covers up to my chin. “Just rest. It’s alright.”
“W-where’s Odin?”
“Gone, darling. He won’t hurt you. I’m so sorry.” Something wet dripped onto my cheek and I looked up, finding tears streaming down his cheeks. I carefully wiped them as my mind clouded with memories.
“My name’s Loki.”
“Y/n.”
My eyes widened.
“You can’t tell anyone about this, Y/n. When they ask how you escape you just tell them you ran away, alright?”
“Why can’t I tell the truth?”
“You just can’t. If my father finds out the Avengers know I helped you… it makes us look weak.”
“I won’t tell anyone.”
Loki was looking at me, waiting for me to say something but my throat felt dry and no words were coming out as I sat back up.
“Darling, what is it? Should I get the healer?”
I shook my head. “Does your father know?” I hissed. “Does everyone know except me?”
“Darling… what are you talking about?”
“It was me… wasn’t it?”
He said nothing.
“Wasn’t it?!” I yelled, pushing him away from me. “Is that what this is? You feel sorry for me? Like I’m that little girl again? Well, I’m not!”
“No! That’s not it! I knew you didn’t remember and I… I wanted to find out why.”
“Why does it matter to you? Why do you care?” Tears filled my eyes. “Why didn’t you tell me?”
He dragged a hand across his face, inhaling deeply. “I wanted you to remember on your own.”
“That only answers one question, Laufeyson,” I hissed. “Why make this deal with me? Why save me in the first place?”
“Because you didn’t deserve what Odin had planned for you… and I made the deal with you because I wanted to see if what I felt was real… or if it was just because I saw you as someone I could protect.”
“And?”
He finally turned to face me.
“I don’t know anymore. It wasn’t supposed to be this way. This was just supposed to be a mutually beneficial deal.”
“And what is it now?”
He sighed. “You can’t tell me you don’t feel it too.”
“I feel nothing,” I lied. “All this time I thought I was going crazy. Everything about this place seemed familiar but I thought I was losing it. All this time you’ve been hiding who you really are. Why not just tell me when you found me?”
“I wanted you to remember on your own.”
I scoffed. “Funny that it took getting slapped by your father for me to remember.”
He sat on the bed next to me. “I never wanted that to happen.” He moved his hand to my cheek. “You weren’t supposed to get hurt.”
I removed his hand. “Yeah, well I did,” I spat.
My heart clenched as I looked up at him, finding tears in his eyes, and the guilt slowly started to seep in.
“Are you going to hurt me?”
“Darling, no.” He shook his head, lifting his hand, but he stopped, his hand hanging in midair. “May I?”
I nodded and he returned his hand to my cheek, gently wiping away my tears. “This isn’t how I wanted you to find out.”
My eyes widened as it finally occurred to me. “The little girl you said you saved…”
He nodded.
“You took a beating for me.”
“Darling, I would take any beating for you.”
“Don’t say that.”
He smiled softly, bringing his lips to my forehead. “I mean it,” he murmured. “What Odin did was nothing compared to the pain I would’ve felt if he’d hurt you… the pain I felt when I saw you lying on the ground after he hit you.” He pushed a strand of hair behind my ear. “I’m sorry I let that happen. I failed you, darling.”
I shook my head, pushing the blankets off my legs and sitting up on my knees. I wrapped my arms around his neck and I felt his hands move around my waist.
“Darling… as amazing as this feels… you need to rest.”
“Then lay with me.”
He pulled away slightly, resting his forehead against mine. “You’re not still angry with me?”
“Oh, I’m seething,” I smirked. “But I find that the best cure for anger is cuddles.”
“Couldn’t agree more.”
He climbed into the bed next to me, being careful not to hurt me as he pulled the blankets over us and I buried my face against his chest.
It wasn’t long before I began to fall asleep, my eyes growing heavy as I listened to the sound of his breathing.
“I think I’m falling in love with you,” he murmured, kissing my forehead as sleep finally claimed me.

Hi. I’ve got terrible flu and decided to heal myself with some self-indulgent Rowaelin (mostly) fluff. If you end up hating this, I’m totally blaming the meds lol who would’ve thought one of its side effects was poor editing?
I’d also like to thank @leiawritesstories for letting me use her professor’s Einstein joke. Absolutely priceless.
Word count: 6,2k
CW: swear words, drinking, mentions of cheating.
˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜
That’s it. I’m going to fuck his dad.
That was Aelin’s first thought when she saw the picture Lysandra sent of Chaol in a club with his hand under a girl’s skirt. With an attached message saying they left the party together.
At that point, Aelin was truly and thoroughly pissed. Their relationship wasn’t very fulfilling and she didn’t love him, but he had been a comfortable constant in her life for the past few months, specially since dating could be a handful when one’s not in a serious relationship already, with all the games, bad experiences and walking on eggshells. She couldn’t afford this now, getting through college was her main goal. But Chaol and her were supposed to be partners. Aelin could deal with a lot of things, but betrayal wasn’t one of them.
It was Saturday, so she woke up late to find the picture, and stayed a lot of time frozen in place, just reeling. To then start pacing around the house. Her third reaction to the betrayal was to forward her cheating (ex) boyfriend the picture and text “Don’t you dare trying to fix this.” when he started to apologize and request a conversation. Immediately after, she calmly laid in her bathtub, used her finest oils and lavender soap, put on a black lacy lingerie, black dress that was flirty but not too revealing, and red lipstick. She wasn’t getting ready to fuck Chaol’s dad, no. She was getting ready to have her revenge.
Her mind was on fire as she started driving to Anielle. Was she sure about that? Almost. Mr. Westfall never really liked her, but he and her parents were all politicians, and at least she was respected for the weight of her last name and her family’s legacy. Besides, even though they disagreed on everything, she had incredible assets. Aelin was confident enough to admit her looks made her hard to refuse. When added to the fact that Mr. Westfall didn’t care enough about his son to have this kind of loyalty to him, her mission was almost too easy. She didn’t care if Chaol’s dad was one of the most hateful people she ever met, getting revenge was enough to get her off. Her friends were always trying to warn her about him.
Aelin, his looks don’t make up for his personality.
Aelin, he’s too boring for you.
Aelin, he’s not a boyfriend, he’s a charity case.
And what did she gain from dating Chaol? Exac—
“What the fuck?”
When she looked up, there was a car in front of hers. One she just hit. Fuck. And it also wasn’t looking good. Aelin was starting to panic when she saw Rowan Whitethorn getting out of the car she just hit. Great. Her ex’s roommate. He was actually a sore spot on Chaol’s life, but she never figured it out besides not making it into the hockey team which Whitethorn was captain. Still, she wanted nothing to do with the people in Chaol’s life. Besides his dad, for one night. And the two friends they had in common. She was shutting the bastard out.
She left the car, looking intently at the damage until Rowan’s snap at her became impossible not to notice. “Seriously, Aelin? How fast were you going?”
“Oh, please. It’s not my fault you drive like an old lady.” Aelin couldn’t help the snarky comment. Without a car, her avenge was ten times more difficult to achieve now.
She watched Rowan close his eyes and breathe in and out a few times, deeply. Then he ran a hand through his silvery-blonde hair and asked “Are you injured? I’m fine so I’m just going to call insurance if you’re good as well.” It would be a jerk move to be sassy now, so she just told him to go ahead and make the call, and they decided to wait on the sidewalk while someone came to pick up their cars. They really were lucky no one got hurt. Both of the cars looked like a raisin where they crashed.
She was also really lucky Rowan wasn’t pressing charges. Actually, he didn’t even seem overly pissed, just mildly so. She knew him very little, but as Rowan was definitely the quiet type, he was never rude to her, which made her try harder to understand Chaol’s spite toward him. She looked sideways and saw her crashmate look up, breathe deep and think hard on something. Probably trying not to be pissed at her, the person who wasn’t looking where she was going and bumped into his car. Which now looked like the outside of a passion fruit. By now, she was actually thinking he was too nice.
At first, they didn’t say a thing. Just stayed sat on the sidewalk, slowly breathing while waiting for someone from the insurance company to come. At some point, Rowan silently offered her his water bottle, which she gladly took and then cleaned the lipstick smudge left there. She didn’t really know Rowan, but his steady presence was soothing. People watching on the street, with a breeze cooling her down, and breathing evenly for the first time since she found out she was being cheated on, Rowan probably had no idea how much this was calming her down. She was still mad at Chaol, but it was good to clear her head a little. Aelin wasn’t even counting the time, she was just happy to see it pass by her. At this moment, she didn’t feel like controlling anything.
A while later, Rowan broke the silence. “So, where were you going in such a hurry?” Even though his question was snarky, he kept a gentle tone.
Aelin wasn’t a very open person, and she didn’t feel ready yet to talk to any of her friends about the downfall of her relationship, but something about Rowan made him seem approachable. Safe, even. So she told him the truth.
“I was driving to fuck Mr. Westfall”.
Rowan’s cheeks flushed a little, but he kept his gaze intent on her. “You call your own boyfriend by his last name?”
“No, I mean his dad.”
At that, Rowan just gaped and stared at her, as if waiting for the clarification that it was a joke. Except that it wasn’t. She just raised one eyebrow at him and waited for his brain to start working again.
“I met him only once and he’s one of the most unpleasant people I know. You can’t be serious.”
“I never thought of him that way. In fact, I kind of always hated him, but Chaol and I broke up and I’m so mad at him I just feel like sleeping with his dad out of spite.”
He looked up a little and asked quietly “Can I be honest with you?”
“Always.”
He watched her a little and uttered with a small crooked smile “I always thought you were dating down by being with him.” Sounds like this was everyone’s opinion on her relationship. “Ugh, I know. My friends told me this at least a thousand times, but I didn’t really listen. You and my cousin Aedion are teammates, right?”
He peered at her, unsure where she was going. “Sure.”
“You know his girlfriend?”
“Yeah. Alyssa?”
For the first time that day, Aelin laughed. “Lysandra, yes.” Then she remembered where the conversation was going and the mood sobered. “So, she sent me last night a picture of him with another girl at a club, and told me they left together. I saw it this morning, forwarded to him and he didn’t even deny he cheated, just tried to mend our relationship. The rest you already know.”
Rowan looked thoughtful while processing the information, then asked “and you think sleeping with someone you dislike with help you somehow? I’d prefer to go for Dorian if I were in your shoes.”
“I’m really just doing it out of spite, and Mr. Westfall is the person Chaol has the strongest feelings, even though it’s hate. Besides, I had a quick fling with Dorian before dating Chaol and the three of us dealt well with it, it wouldn’t make that big impact.”
Rowan still looked quizzically at her, but he seemed amused. “I’m still not sure your big impact makes up for sleeping with someone that repulsing, but I’m sorry my slowness delayed your revenge. I would never purposefully come between a girl and her evil masterplans.”
Aelin just laughed, but didn’t want to stop the conversation. So they started to tentatively ask each other about college, which developed to an exchanging of funny stories. The pink tones of the sunset were reflected on Rowan’s face as Aelin did an impression of her professor. “And he said” —she took a moment as trying not to laugh— “Einstein. Yeah, sure, do the Einstein thing: grossly irresponsible research that’s gonna kill us all,” and then she lost it, both of them laughing so much they had to take gulps of air after.
In fact, they were having such a good time they missed when the crew came to take their cars. Not wanting their little encounter to be over, they decided on going to eat a burger together nearby. Casually. As two new friends who liked spending time together. Aelin was definitely not thinking about the way Rowan’s body made his shirt stretch, or how his scent of pine and snow hit her when he held the door for her, and it reminded her of home. When they sat on the table, she was decided to toss these thoughts aside. She should go with the basics. And fast, since he was looking intently at her silent figure as if trying to figure her out.
“What’s your favorite color?”
He looked surprised, but quickly answered. “Green.”
“Fitting.”
“How so?”
“You smell like pine.” So much for her ability to shove dangerous thoughts aside.
“Oh.” —he still had that dumbfounded expression on his gorgeous gorgeous face— “It’s probably from my shampoo or something. I hadn’t really noticed it before.”
Genuinely curious, Aelin couldn’t seem to shut up. “Is your hair naturally that color? It’s like you were born a Benjamin Button except that your hair stayed that way,” Rowan looked at a loss of words, so she added, “But I mean it in a good way! It’s quite cute, actually.”
Ignoring completely everything besides the last phrase, he just blushed and sheepishly asked “You think I’m cute?” Great. Aelin had her mouth opened as she tried to come up with an appropriate answer and they both were blushing now. With a much appreciated intervention, Rowan’s phone starting to vibrate endlessly and he rolled his eyes at whatever was happening on his screen.
“That would be Fenrys. He refuses to call me, but keeps sending a thread of meaningless texts until he has my attention.” He seemed fondly exasperated at his friend, which just made Aelin cackle more.
“But is it serious?”
Still texting this Fenrys guy, he replied “Of course not. He just want us to go clubbing with him.”
Her eyes widened. “Us?”
“Yeah, I told him I’m already busy and he told me to bring whoever I’m with. In my defense, he would invite my mom if it meant he would get his way. And he’d totally own it because he’s that kind of social butterfly.” The way he talked about Fenrys kind of reminded Aelin about her relationship with Aedion, like he was fondly exasperated of his annoying little brother. That only piked her interest even more.
“Okay. Let’s go.”
Rowan looked at her as if trying to understand. “Clubbing with Fenrys?”
“Sure, why not? I’m already dressed like I was going to, anyway.” She was laughing at her own joke while Rowan’s eyes roamed through her. Aelin didn’t know exactly what it meant, but the heat in his eyes burned on her skin, and the feeling was exhilarating because it had been a while since she last felt desired. Her thing with Chaol had been mundane, driven by routine. Hot team captain that looked at her like this? Aelin could deal with that.
When the food came, Aelin realized she was starving. She didn’t remember eating anything the whole day, probably forgetting to do so since finding out about being cheated on. And that burger was so good it should be illegal.
“That good, huh?” Rowan mused.
Oh, fuck. She was blushing now. Had she been eating too greedily? Did she forget to clean something off her face? Aelin was about to apologize when she noticed Rowan wasn’t reprimanding her, he actually looked amused. Wow. That was a new one. Still feeling shy and without knowing what to do, she just gave him a small smile. And received a full grin back.
“So… Were you going to see your friends when I slammed into your car?”
“Actually, I was going to my dad’s birthday. It’s only tomorrow, but I like to talk to my parents a little before the very chaotic part of the family arrives.”
She couldn’t help the giggle that came. “I don’t have a big family, but I’m very familiar with the ‘chaotic’ part. By the way, sorry for the crash. I hope you still make it tomorrow.”
“My cousin already offered to give me a ride tomorrow, don’t worry. I’m not half as mad as I should be about that crash. In fact, I’m not mad at all.” He tilted his head and seemed to be confused at himself, but both of them looked pleased. Good. She was liking this evening far too much for Rowan to have normal feelings about an accident that was totally her fault.
Talking to Rowan was easy. She didn’t know how to describe it. Aelin had been on so many dates —was that a date?— where she had to scramble her mind to find something to keep conversation going at least for another hour or so. Honestly, she didn’t know if she could do this after such a long day, but keeping a conversation with Rowan wasn’t an effort at all. They just jumped from one topic to another without even realizing it. It felt like they were in sync.
When the time came, they requested a car ride that dropped them in a place that definitely didn’t look like a club. Not the ones she frequented, at least. It was a big house that didn’t look like a frat, with a mechanical bull out front and a lot of drunk people. Rowan just said they should look for Fenrys and whoever was with him and held her hand. It was probably a meaningless thing, just trying not to lose each other in the crowd, but the moment his calloused hand gripped hers, Aelin could feel her whole body set alight just by that small act. She felt like an early teen getting noticed by her school crush. They only stopped walking when reached a table with two guys that looked a lot alike and… Elide and Lorcan? What the hell?
It turns out that Fenrys was a blonde guy with a brunette twin that left Aelin dying to ask if one of them painted their hair. They had been friends with Lorcan and Rowan forever, and even though Elide had only been seeing Lorcan for a few months, they acted like an old married couple so she already knew everyone in his life. After they were sat, Rowan carefully scooped closer to her, but didn’t go further because Lorcan suddenly snapped at her.
“Aren’t you dating that Kale guy?” No wonder why he had looked more annoyed than usual since she appeared holding hands with Rowan.
“Kale guy and I broke up.”
With an almost imperceptible smirk, he prompted “Good riddance.”
“Agreed.”
A bit after that, Elide asked Aelin to go get new drinks with her. When Lorcan and Rowan offered to do it, she shot daggers at both of them, leading to an apprehensive retreat. She meant business, them. After they had their Mojitos ready, Elide carefully stopped her from going back and whispered “Are you sure you’re okay? Lys told Aedion and I what happened, we were worried about you.”
“No need to fuss, losing my mind over that breakup is very six hours ago Aelin. I’m a new person now.” Aelin said that as a joke, but it was kind of true. She did feel different. Lighter. Anyway, she didn’t know what Elide saw in her at that moment, but it was enough to leave it alone for now. “Just don’t drink too much alcohol, you know the reactions it gives you.”
Aelin was genuinely confused now. “What reactions?”
“It makes your legs spread.” Elide wiggled her eyebrows and it was enough to make both of them crack up. The laughter had subsided a little when they reached the table, but Connall still asked what they were laughing about.
“We” —a brief pause. She couldn’t possibly tell the joke in front of Rowan now— “were wondering what exactly is this party.”
“A graduation party” Fenrys proudly answered.
“Cool. Who’s graduating?”
“I don’t know.”
The whole table seemed to stop a that. “What?”
“I’ve been going out with someone. Casually. She invited me to come to her friend’s graduation party but I asked her if I could bring a friend, since I’m only going to see her later.” A slow smirk. “So here y’all are. Enjoy the party.”
The whole crew still looked ashen a few beats later, when Rowan asked “So your version of ‘a friend’ is five people that girl doesn’t know?”
Fenrys looked completely confident when he smiled and answered “No need to fake outrage, you’re loving the free drinks.”
Honestly? She was. The drinks were flowing and Rowan’s friend group was really fun to be around. Except for Dorian and Nehemia, Chaol’s friends were always looking down on her for her life choices or political opinions. This change of scenario was refreshing.
Aelin couldn’t remember how many drinks she had, but she did remember promising Fenrys she’d ride the mechanical bull later. Apparently, ‘later’ was now. At first, she couldn’t get up on the bull, so Rowan went to her rescue and propped his hands so she could step on them to get her right leg on the other side of it. But they probably had the same idea on getting her momentum, because when Aelin jumped to ride the bull, Rowan also pushed her feet up, which sent her airborne until she landed on the other side of the air mattress. Aelin could barely distinguish Rowan’s voice asking if she was okay from all the laughter in the room, and it turns out she was laughing too. In fact, she really hoped Elide had it on camera.
On their second try she managed to land properly on the bull, and she felt glorious until that thing started moving. Aelin had no idea how much time she managed to stay sat on the bull, the only thing she knew was that she managed a few seconds before lying on it and holding on its neck with both arms like her life depended on it. She was really grateful for the spandex shorts Elide had brought for the occasion and ended up lending her, because otherwise she would be flashing everyone now. It probably wasn’t a long time after, but it certainly felt like a lifetime when the bull made a particularly sharp move and she finally fell. She would be grateful if her thigh didn’t hit one of the bull’s horns on her way down, which was likely to bruise soon.
Aelin had only a few seconds to lie down and reevaluate all her life choices that led to this mechanical bull until Rowan appeared before her. “Hey, you okay?” He looked concerned. Adorable. Little did he know she felt like she had died and came back by divine intervention. He checked her up and decided she was fine enough to go on, but the party started to fade away before she finished applying the ice pack that seemed to materialize on Rowan’s hand. The only thing he said to stop her complaining was “You’re injured, it’s absolutely necessary.” She wasn’t actually minding the hovering, but it was fun to tease him.
Elide, Lorcan and Fenrys already had plans that didn’t include them, but Connall was meeting his boyfriend Vaughan at another party and invited them along. Before making a decision, she quietly whispered to Rowan, “I don’t want to go to another party, but I really don’t want tonight to be over.”
“I live close by, we could go to my place if you feel like it,” Rowan suggested tentatively, but then quickly started to rectify his intentions “and I don’t mean anything by it, you know? We could just talk. Or not talk, really. Shit. I didn’t mean it like that.” —his cheeks reddened more each sentence— “What I’m trying to say is that whatever you want to do, I’ll be happy to oblige.” Rowan look positively ill by the end of his babble. She wondered if she’d ever see him that flustered without the booze.
The fact that Aelin would be going to her ex’s house was just a fleeting afterthought when she accepted the invitation.
They were very close to the exit of the house when a girl wearing a mortarboard hat and a bodycon dress bumped into them. Her shoulder slammed against Aelin’s, but she could smell a heavy scent of beer in her. The hostess, then. She looked confused to see both of them, but perked up again when Aelin started cheering her on. “Congratulations! And thank you for having us, we’re heading out now”
The girl sent Rowan a glance that didn’t hide she liked what she saw, then winked at Aelin before saying “You go ride that bull, girl.” The only answer she received was Aelin’s bark of laughter and Rowan’s mortified face.
Aelin decided his place was close enough to go by foot, but Rowan only agreed to it before checking how bad her bruises were looking and lending her his jacket so she wouldn’t catch a cold. She didn’t have the heart to tell him his jacket wasn’t going to stop a virus from entering her body.
Aelin looked up and sighed. “God, I could use a snack now.”
“There’s a 24-hour store nearby, wanna grab some food?”
“Yeah, sure.”
“What are you craving?”
She weighted her options a little before answering firmly “Cake.”
“Please don’t tell me you make those boxed cakes.” He looked horrified.
“Wrong. I don’t make any cakes. I’m very good at eating them, though.”
Rowan’s eyes glistened when he replied “Good to know. I’m very good at baking from scratch, but I’m not good at eating them.”
Aelin’s jaw was on the floor. She couldn’t have heard it right. “That doesn’t make any sense.”
He was laughing at her disbelief, which made her even more confused. How dare he. “I like to cook basically anything, but I find baking particularly relaxing when I’m stressed out, so I do it and then give it to someone else. I don’t like sweets.”
Oh my God. Was he even real? One person who only liked to bake, and another who only liked to eat. It was like they were meant to be. Aelin would never consider dating someone who didn’t like sweets, but this scenario turned out to be the best one she could imagine.
Inside the store, they settled for popcorn and also some booze.
“What do you want to drink?” Rowan asked her while reading the labels.
“Impress me.”
“Are you okay with red wine?”
“Red wine?” She tilted her head. “Are you trying to seduce me, Whitethorn?”
He had the gall to look sheepishly at her. “Only if you want me to.”
That made Aelin’s grin become predatory. “So you should know I’m a Pinot Noir kind of girl.” They only stared at each other for a while, the air heavy with the meaning of the words left unsaid. Then Rowan cleared his throat and chose some bottles.
When they finally got to the place he shared with Chaol and other two students, everything was dark and deadly quiet. Once in the kitchen, Aelin quickly settled into the role of sous chef. Except that this sous chef only helped when separating the ingredients and by giving moral support, but neither of them were calling her out on this. After baking, they happily sat on the kitchen floor with one bowl of popcorn and two glasses of wine while waiting for the chocolate cake to be ready —the one Rowan made from scratch, specially for her. She couldn’t get over this part—.
“So, don’t get me wrong, but your parents are those two big names in Terrasen’s politics. What made you go to med school?” People meddling in her career was a bit of a sour spot in her life, but he didn’t sound judgy, only curious. That was probably why she managed to give him a real answer, without being snarky.
“Honestly? I don’t know. The idea of healing people excited me, so I told my parents I wanted to be a doctor when I was eight years old. That never changed, and they were surprisingly cool about it. I’ve never felt like a rebel because I always had a choice.” Rowan looked proudly at her, so she prompted. “You?”
“I’ve never felt a huge calling for any profession. When the time came, I chose International Relations because it felt right. I wanted to be a bird when I was a kid.”
Aelin cackled hard at that. “Yes! How is this so fitting? You hover like an old Buzzard.”
He looked confused, until he was laughing along with her. If Aelin was sober, she’d worry about enjoying Rowan’s company way too much. She settled with the thought that it was just refreshing to spend time with someone who actually laughed at her jokes, that was all. When she came back to the moment, he was looking thoughtfully at her and running his thumb along her hand. She used her free hand to caress his cheek and he broke the silence a beat later.
“Are you still going after your ex’s dad?” Seriously? That was what he was thinking about?
Aelin’s hand that was resting on Rowan’s cheeks traveled to his silvery-blonde hair while she answered “I could really go for a silver fox now.”
His eyes widened slightly. “Mr. Westfall’s hair is not silver.”
“I know.” She was just glad he didn’t notice how terrible that pick up line was. Rowan just blinked as his whole face flushed. His mind was probably scrambling to something to say or do when they were interrupted.
“What. The. Fuck?” Said a very familiar voice.
She immediately noticed a smell of vodka and women’s perfume. When they looked up, Chaol was fuming on the kitchen entrance.
Rowan decided to start things peacefully. “Hey. I didn’t know you’d be here, you never stay in on the weekends.”
This was news to Aelin. “What does he mean you never stay home on the weekends?” Was she really that stupid?
“Get the fuck out of my relationship, Whitethorn—“
“Um, we broke up” Apparently, she still had to remind Chaol of this slight detail.
But he detected the smell of cake and continued. “Are you fucking baking for her? This is trying too hard to get in a girl’s pants, even for you.” Right now, Aelin’s only concern was on the oven. Was the cake ready? It smelled ready. She needed Chaol out of the kitchen soon. She was going to summon Rowan when she glanced at him and noticed he looked positively murderous.
“Seriously? You and the guys are the ones who eat my stuff the most. In fact, I’m practically the only one who cooks in this house. I saw you eat half a cake by yourself the other month, but you only tolerate me when it’s handy for you.”
“Can you blame me for not tolerating you when you’re foreplaying my girlfriend with chocolate cake? How long have you been planning this?” Aelin really couldn’t tell if Chaol was more pissed about her being with Rowan, or about her being fed by Rowan. But she decided to sort that out later, not wanting the cake to burn. She helped Rowan do it, it felt like it was her baby. Their baby. Whoa, too soon. She had too much to drink tonight. But then something clicked.
“Are you telling me you had access to half a cake and didn’t care to share with me, Chaol?”
He looked at her like she was a petulant child. “Aelin, we should go to my room and talk about this. I told you we can work things out. Going after Whitethorn just to spite me was a low blow, but I get why you’re angry. I see you, baby. It was just one mistake and honestly? It’d help a lot if your friends just stayed out of our relationship and—“
She had completely tuned him out by that point. Aelin was just nodding her head up and down, trying to distract him from Rowan and the cake. And Chaol seemed to believe her magnificent drunk acting. But then his red angry face and continuous babble —that actually meant something, but she didn’t feel like acknowledging it— reminded her of a tomato. Even better, of one of those Annoying Orange videos she used to watch a decade ago. She was trying not to laugh, but her shoulders were already shaking, and when Annoying Chaol stopped his speech and really looked at her, she couldn’t keep it together and started cracking up. Rowan sent her a confused look at first, but then started laughing too when he saw her amused expression.
Defeated, but too proud to assume so, Chaol just rolled his eyes and said “Come talk when you stop acting like a child.” before slamming the door and leaving the house. Both Rowan and Aelin managed to recompose themselves a bit before looking at the spot her ex was in and cackling again.
As she imagined, the cake was delicious. She was trying to eat as much as she could, but stopped when Rowan said she could take the whole thing home. He watched her in awe as she stood up, put both of her hands on the table and proudly announced “I’m going to take my ex’s advice and stop acting like a child. Do you want to see my last childish act, Buzzard?” Reluctantly pleased, he agreed and followed her up the stairs with two closed wine bottles.
Aelin couldn’t decide if it was a waste of Pinot Noir or not when she entered Chaol’s bedroom and painted his drawer with red wine. Shirts? Check. Underwear? Check. Very white socks? Check, check, check. Was tie dye still trending? She certainly hoped so.
She found Rowan propped against the doorframe, looking completely astonished. When she arched an eyebrow, waiting for a reproach, he just indulged her more. “You know, his bedsheets are looking awfully clean.”
“Remarkable observation, Buzzard.” Then she threw a bit more than half a bottle all over his bed, hoping it would stain not only the sheets. Two bottles of red wine spent on petty revenge, completely worth it. She hoped his other woman (or was it women?) would like the new theme. He could say he entered his new era. Finishing her abstract artwork, she schooled her face into a surprised look and said “Oh no! Now there’s only three beds! What are we going to do?”
“Do you think your ex will mind being the big spoon?” She cackled. Hard. It was difficult to picture tall, broody and brawny Rowan Whitethorn being the little spoon. He just put an offended hand on his chest and looked at Aelin in mock outrage. “Sexist much, Ace?” —Her new nickname falling like honey from his lips—, “Actually, I’m not even familiar with the wonders of little spooning. Girls always assume I’m going to be the big one.” Now, both of them were laughing, and somewhere between that and catching their breaths, Aelin held his hand and led him to his own room. He looked even more confused when she told him to lie down on his side. Rowan didn’t seem to catch up on her plans, but apparently he trusted her enough to oblige.
Their drunken mirth subsided at the same rate the tension grew. By the time Aelin laid behind Rowan, the room was deadly quiet. But it wasn’t necessarily a bad thing, she felt… comfortable. It felt good to wrap one arm below Rowan’s neck and the other above his waist. At this point, she was certain they felt like two pieces falling into place. Aelin started using one of her arms to stroke his hair.
“Are you liking little spooning so far?”
The only answer she received was a grunt. “You are no better than a house cat.” was the only thing she said while continuing her work. She just wasn’t certain about her next step. He probably felt like this too, by the way his body shivered when she accidentally tucked her nose behind his neck and breathed right on his spine. So when he started lazily stroking her thigh from behind, the only warning she gave him was saying “Tell me if you want to stop,” before kissing down his neck.
His breathing turned heavier and she loved inhaling deeply his pine scent while kissing such a soft patch of skin. Rowan turned around, held himself up with one hand and brushed Aelin’s skin before dipping down and kissing her.
It was brief and tentative, but enough to feel the softness of his lips. For a beat they only looked at each other. She could see the gentle breeze coming from the window mess with a few wild strands of Rowan’s hair. When she focused back on his eyes, they were intent on her, its green shade even darker under the moonlight. He silently dipped his head and kissed her for real this time. And heaven didn’t get close to how she felt.
She could swear he was the oxygen that set her body on fire. She dragged her nails through the back of his scalp, making him shudder again and kiss her harder. Since Aelin had already learned his weak spots, it was only fair he learned hers. She moved them until she was straddling his thighs, grabbed a fistful of his hair and made him look into her eyes. Rowan looked completely captivated. Good enough to lead his mouth to her neck. By the time he was lavishing her collarbone, Aelin had started to move her hips against his, deepening the frenzy they were in. When she took his shirt off, she… stopped.
Sensing her hesitation, Rowan gazed at her and his eyes looked understanding. They were both drunk. This wasn’t a ‘now or never’ kind of situation, Aelin was almost certain she would still see a lot of Rowan. Soon. Besides, the little time she had before sunrise wasn’t enough to do all the things she wanted to do to him. Whatever was brewing between them, she had a feeling both of them thought it was going to be great. So she would take her time.
He kissed her forehead. The tip of her nose. Both of her cheekbones. Her chin. And then a peck on her lips. Another few ones. Until he started kissing her again for real, but this time it wasn’t essentially steamy. They were more on the soft side, and Aelin didn’t know which one she preferred. She was feeling hot as well before, but the main feeling she got now was affection. At that moment she was hit by the realization that she had never felt that much cherished by a lover before, and it felt incredible. Her connection with Rowan felt incredible. Even though they hadn’t paid attention to each other until twelve-ish hours ago.
There was some noise from the little movement on the streets, but nothing enough to burst the little bubble they created for themselves. They kissed and talked and laughed until the moonlight that gleamed on them was slowly replaced by the sunlight that was now painting their skins.
“Will you get mad if I tell you I’m actually glad I smashed your car?” Aelin was smiling as if she didn’t know she could get a law suit from this crash.
“No. In fact, I’d be offended if you were sorry at this point.” A brief kiss. “So, I don’t know when I’m getting back from my parents’s because I’m depending on Enda, but maybe I can see you tomorrow?” It was cute how hopeful he sounded.
“Weren’t you supposed to wait three days to text?”
His eyebrows rose dangerously close to his hairline. “You want me to wait three full days? That sounds like a terrible waste of time.”
She couldn’t help but laugh at his reaction. “Just kidding. Tomorrow is actually a slow day for me, text me when you’re free so we can figure something out.” She appeased him while saving her number on his phone. To her credit, he looked truly pleased now.
“Good. May I also send you a date suggestion? If it’s completely shit, you can make me wait three days.”
She kissed him for the last time that day.
“Tell me tomorrow.”

Chapter 10
“I know what you’ve heard. He’s mad and bad to the bone. He wins whatever the cost.” Until me. “He’s changed.”
Once again, I'm saying that all of this is going to be true simply because the author says so.
If she wasn’t a coward, there would be a 9th hour betrayal, and this series wouldn’t be a romance at all.
Along the parapet, TLs and MLs are locked in a fierce battle—for rights to Dior?
In the grand scheme of all human history, what is a single person? The entire idea of these two armies fighting to the death over ONE (1) girl is so comically absurd when you stop and think about it.
I’ve seen him do this with others, and I know he’s preparing himself for battle. For the horrors to come. Unease pricks the back of my neck. Elizabeth’s warning... Clay’s warning... Am I a fool to ignore them?
I ain’t calling you smart, that’s for sure.
Look. If you wanted to spend all eternity snuggling up with your boo, you sure picked the wrong afterlife.
“Be careful who you trust. There’s a spy among you. That’s how we found your location.”
I can’t even pretend to be surprised that there’s backstabbing going on in Troika.
Before Killian, I wasn’t a romantic girl. I existed with no real purpose, anger directing my actions. He’s changed me for the better.
She claims that anger directed her actions, but I’m not convinced that acting foolishly because of love is somehow “better”.
“You can’t stay here. I’m sorry, lass, but this might sting a bit.” He squeezes the trigger, nailing me between the eyes.
Chapter 10 summary: Outside, Clay makes one last effort to remind Ten that Killian is supposed to be her enemy. As usual, she refuses to listen, especially when Clay doesn’t know Killian; not like she does.
The protective dome around them falls, and Ten watches a battle unfold several feet up in the air. I said what I said about that.
She presses on, and eventually finds Killian. They gush about how much they love one another; it’s seriously a step away from “You’re my schmoopy-doopy sweetie-wheatie pumpkin pie!”
Eventually, Killian tells Ten about how Rosalind went down to visit Dior, and she was “killed in action”. And another Myriad agent went to visit Dior’s unsigned boyfriend, and he never returned. Both agree that if Troika had killed them, then they would have been boasting about it, so they think that something foul is afoot. Killian also warns that there’s a spy in Troika, which is how they found Dior’s hiding spot.
He then reveals that he’s got Sloan with him, and begs Ten to take her anger and frustration out on the girl who murdered her. Ten asks Sloan if she was able to get her revenge on Dr. Vans, and Sloan agrees. Which tells Ten that Myriad has access to Many Ends, since Vans was also unsigned. Sloan says that she’s tortured Vans, but it hasn’t eased her pain.
And it’s at this point that Ten realises that hurting the people who hurt you isn’t going to make that pain EVER go away. She reflects on how her parents hurt her, but she’s let her father’s betrayal go.
Ten asks Killian to give Dior her dog back, and he agrees that he’s working on it. He then shoots her in the head, although I’m certain that it’s nothing but a bit in order to convince somebody of something.

A wish from the heart.
Hi @taylorswift  I’m Melissa a Mexican citizen who has bee listening to you since I was 14, I grew up in a small town near Harlingen, Texas and your music got me through so much, it even thought me English. You see I was an immigrant child at the time and when I finished high school I packed my bags and came back to Mexico to study collage and be able to make a life for myself but your music was something that I always held near my heart.
I know I probably don’t know you but I feel like I do because your lyrics and music has been with me through each stage in my life and I’ve been able to relate on so many levels.  A place in this world gave me the courage to literally go back to Mexico and make a life for myself. White horse my anthem during my first real breakup. Better than revenge got me through my first girl-friend betrayal because yeah, she ended up with the guy I was dating at the time and even 22 was played so loud and on repeat on my 22nd birthday when reputation came I did something bad and don’t blame me just hit right on because I was going through my bad girl i don’t give a fuck era and I feel like The man just defines me I’ve been able to create a pretty nice professional career but the last firm I was part of I just felt excluded for being a woman not getting invited to after office drinks where only the guys were going and promotions where happening. Honestly I can keep naming your albums and songs all night long like Bejeweled that got me through my marriage separation and postpartum. It breaks my heart knowing that I won’t be able to go to your first concert in Mexico because I registered like I was supposed to and I wasn’t even selected for a code to be able to purchase a ticket and it makes me so mad because I’ve always wanted to see you and they are even so many people who registered on behalf of someone else and it’s just a big mess. I hope you have an awesome time in Mexico City, I’ll still be here hoping and wishing for a miracle and being a loyal fan

He’s Lost - Bakugou Katsuki - Part 1
Tumblr media
Bakugou x f!reader
Warnings - Angst, Physical Harm, Cursing, accused Cheating, Katsuki’s insecurities
BAKUGOU’S MASTERLIST
A/N: This is my first writing piece but this has been stuck in my mind since v-day is coming up so I had to get it out. Plz enjoy!!
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4
Summary: Y/N is so busy around Valentine’s, her lack of attention towards her Pomeranian is causing him to freak out and do the worst of the worst
Love is in the air! The birds are singing, The breeze is blowing, the setting sun is shining, and the explosive teen is.....well, bruting.
Can you blame him though? Y/N’s been a little distant ever since February started. Even right now, instead of enjoying their time together in a quiet park, she’s staring down at her phone doing who knows what.
Why? Was he not good enough? Has she gotten tired of him? They’ve only been together for a little over a year. Is she talking to someon- no. Katsuki stopped himself from thinking like that. There’s no way his precious teddy bear would ever do that. Not only that, he was the best there is. Why would she even try to go?
“You dumbass. You’re missing this.” Bakugou sighed. “Huh? What? Missing what?” Y/N looked around looking for whatever “this” was until Bakugou grabbed her chin to force her to look him in the eyes. “THIS DUMBASS! US! You’re so focused on that dumb phone. Jeez, can’t a guy just get his girl’s attention.” Bakugou said dramatically.
It wasn’t that Y/N wasn’t giving him attention, it’s that it wasn’t the same. Yea she right there snuggled into his arm. And yea she was petting his hair just the way he liked. And YES, she was peppering his face with kisses from time to time. But it all felt off? Like only half her energy was put into the love and affection.
“Suki, aren’t u being a little dramatic. I’m right here with you baby. I’m sorry if I’ve been a little distracted. Come here dummy.” And as Y/N pulls Bakugou in for a tighter hug all he can do is release a “hmph” while falling into it...until her phone went (ding!) once again. And she went to check it. Once again.
Bakugou was getting tired so he got up and suggested they’d head back to UA. Y/N only got up and began to walk beside him, hand in hand, while still checking her phone time to time. And Bakugou was getting sick of it
*Wtf is she doing on that piece of junk? What could be so important she would half ass our entire evening together? .....Could she possibly be talking to someone else?............no.* Bakugou let those negative thoughts die down as they continued their journey back.
——————————————————————————
A few days later
“COME ON!!” Bakugou screamed as he realeased a blast towards Kirishima. When Bakugou invited him to train, The red head initially thought it was to ...you know..TRAIN. But after some time, the blonde’s best friend began to see the bigger picture.
“Dude. What’s up with you man? We always go full on during training, but it’s not even like you’re trying to hit me. It feels like you’re just taking your anger out on me.” Kirishima said.
“Congrats on noticing shitty hair, I’m glad somebody’s noticing my damn mood.” Weirded out by his friend’s unusual openness, the red head continued to ask.
“So what’s up?”
“Nothing.”
“But you just-“
“NOPE!”
Bakugou exclaimed as he began to gather his stuff to leave the training area. “BAKUGOU!” Kiri shouted. “WHAT!” “.......it’s Y/N isn’t it?”
Upon hearing that, the blonde turned to look at his best friend with this sad puppy dog look. And man, if Katsuki had doggy ears, everyone would see how low they’d go. His best friend didn’t need to see it though, he could tell those ears would be 6 ft under if they were actually there bc there’s nothing hiding Katsuki’s vulnerability when it comes to Y/N. As the two best friends go to sit on the bleachers, Bakugou takes a deep breath before saying his thoughts.
“I think Y/N is cheating on me.”
“................HUH???!!!!”
Kirishima went from “caring and considerate” to “WHATDIDHESAYYY” in seconds. Y/N L/N?? Cheating?? Ok. Y/N was one fiesty girl, and she definitely had sass, power, attitude, and a little mischief, but she also had kindness, compassion, consideration, and honesty flowing though her. Not to mention extreme loyalty. There’s no way.
“Look man, with all due respect, I think you’ve finally lost it.” The red head laughed. “I’m being serious shitty hair.” The blonde stated. “She’s been so distracted lately. She’s always with me but it’s like her mind is also somewhere else. And not to mention that damn phone she’s always on now. She can’t go 30 minutes without checking it at least twice. And not only that, when she does leave to do whatever, she’s gone for hours at a time! What’s a guy supposed to think with all of that?! I mean it’d make sense if she wanted to leave. I get it, I can get loud, and yell, and I get angry a lot but.. she knows I never mean it, right? I call her a dumbass like i do everyone else...ugh but she isn’t just everyone else, she’s my girlfriend and she’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me.....SO WHY TF IS SHE CHEATIN-“ before the blonde could continue, his best friend cut him off.
“BAKUGOU” “WHAT??!!” “....talk to her.” Kirishima said. “What?” Bakugou asked. Kirishima continued. “Cheating is a real sensitive topic in a relationship. I don’t wanna give my opinion on something that could ruin something amazing. C’mon man, we both know Y/N isn’t like that but who am I to tell you what to do. I wanna help, I do, but I think it’s best if you go to her with all this. Honestly though, if you asked me, Y/N would be the last person I’d ever think of when it came to cheating on ANYTHING. Especially the guy she cares so much about.” And with that last sentence, Kirishima stood up from his spot and pat Bakugou on his shoulder before exiting.
With Bakugou left with nothing but his thoughts and Kirishima’s advice, he left and headed straight towards your room.
——————————————————————————
“Shut up!” You excitingly screamed though the phone. “You really found the last part?”
“Yup, it only took about 6 different stores across the entire city.” Shinsou sarcastically replied. “You owe me.”
“Yeah, yeah, I know and I appreciate it. Katsuki’s gonna love his gift!” You said.
With Valentine’s Day around the corner, you’ve been preparing only the best Valentine’s Day surprise for the best boyfriend in the world. You’ve been so busy planning your surprise that I guess you could say you haven’t been giving Katsuki the massive amount of attention he’s used to from you, but you can definitely say it’ll all be worth it when he sees one of his presents that you’ve been working on. A silencer for his gauntlet blasts that not only decreases the volume of his attacks, but also increases his attack power. You remember how Bakugou had vented about his attacks being too loud that they scare people, but when he tried to keep them quiet, the attack isn’t as powerful so saving can be quite difficult. He only spoke about it once, but you could see the look on his face whenever he was out using his quirk around civilians. So why not give him a device that’ll help with his loud little problem. Now were you a support class student who knew how to make support items? Hell no. But were you a loving girlfriend willing to give her man the best Valentine’s Day ever? Hell yeah.
The piece of gear would’ve been easier to make IF it weren’t for a pesky piece of the project getting destroyed by Shinsou after he made Denki electrocute himself while he was right next to your prototype on the table. So to make it up to you, Shinsou went all around town looking for the piece you needed to complete your support item for Katsuki. Finally, all pieces had come together.
“He better. That damn bastard doesn’t know how amazing his girlfriend is. Instead of ignoring his ass these past few weeks, you sent ME to get all this shit for you so you could keep your precious Pomeranian happy.” Shinsou said while rolling his baggy eyes.
As Bakugou approached the outside of your dorm room’s door, he heard your voice.
“You know, you’re so right. That Pomeranian is unaware of just exactly how amazing I am. I really could’ve left whenever but I stuck around.” You snorted. “Well I’m glad I had you with me through it all Shinsou.”
*Pomeranian? SHINSOU?!? Through IT ALL?!?!? YOU WERE WITH THAT PURPLE HAIRED, SLEEP DEPRIVED ASS MIND CONTROLLING FREAK?!?? AND YOU WERE WITH HIM THE ENTIRE TIME YOU’VE BEEN DATING BAKUGOU?!?*
Oh to say Katsuki was pissed was an understatement. He felt all these emotions hitting him all at once. Anger, Disgust, Pain, Betrayal. It all became too much for him before Katsuki ran away from your down with his bed down and silent tears hitting the floor. When he let himself fall to the floor in the privacy of his room he screamed into his hands. His first love, his first real relationship, his teddy bear betraying his love, loyalty, and trust for over an entire year. After hours of crying, Katsuki was able to pull himself into bed. He couldn’t even bring himself to shower even though he spent all that time in the gym with Kirishima. He just wanted to sleep to escape reality. As he looked at his phone, he saw 1 missed call from Y/N, and 1 text saying “Goodnight love💗💥!” Bakugou scoffed at the text. Figuring u must be texting Shinsou the same thing. As Bakugou placed his phone down, an evil thought came to mind. Ruin her.
Bakugou smirked to himself as he had this pyscho and sinister look on his face. He would ruin Y/N. They haven’t officially broken up yet, so he could hurt her just as she hurt him. And Bakugou wasn’t stupid or so he thought he’s aware Valentine’s is coming up, so why not break little Y/N L/N’s heart on a day dedicated to nothing but love and happiness. It’ll be the perfect revenge on a little satin like her. Bakugou finally turned on his side with an evil, satisfied smile, and fat tears in his eyes once more.
——————————————————————————
The next morning, Katsuki got up with a broken heart, but he figured if he wanted his plan to work, he had to fake this smile. Getting up, getting ready, and getting dressed was business as usual, but meeting up with Y/N in the morning was now off the schedule. Instead of going into her room to check on her like he usually does, he just went straight to breakfast and straight to class without speaking to anyone.
With Class 1-A seated and Mr.Aizawa at the head of the classroom, the students can finally start their first lesson of the day. Until, the door slid wide open. There stood an exhausted and quite frankly dishelved Y/N. “My apologies sensei. I was up late last night and overslept. Please forgive me.” Y/N said as she bowed her head in sorry. “Just take your seat L/N.” The tired eye teacher said.
As Y/N walked to her desk, she noticed Bakugou wouldn’t even glance her way. She was a little thrown off since it would be normal for him to at least give her a judgemental look for sleeping in, but no. Nothing.
Bakugou on the other hand was writhing in agony. Oh how he wanted to check on Y/N and make sure everything was fine, but that voice in the back of his head couldn’t help but tell him to ignore her since she’s a cheater. She may have been the girl he’s loved dearest, but she was also the one causing his heart to shatter.
After a few classes, Y/N tried to approach Bakugou several times, but each time he brushed her off. And when the bell finally rang for lunch, you can bet Katsuki was the first one out the door. Y/N followed him of course, in worry and concern.
“Babe! Baby! Katsuuu!!! KATSUKII!” Y/N whined for her boyfriend to at least look at her but once again. Nothing. Bakugou wanted to hug her and hold her tight but he couldn’t. Not after what she’s done. Right before Bakugou entered the cafeteria, Y/N pulled him aside and held onto his wrists.
“Baby? Hey, what’s up with you? I’ve been calling your name and trying to talk to you but you keep brushing me off. You also didn’t stop by this morning. Is something wrong, love?” Y/N was hoping for something. ANYTHING at this point. And it was like the gods heard her prayer because she definitely got....something. “My bad.” The blonde haired boy dryly replied. “....Oh, um, ok suki.” The poor girl just thought her dear boyfriend was having a bad day, so she just left it alone and let him go. But still, even on his worse days he would at least visit her in the mornings. As they sat down with the bakusquad, the entire table noticed how Bakugou sat up and moved across from Y/N after she chose to sit next to him like usual. The tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife, and Kirishima could already feel what had gone down. He at least knew his bro didn’t talk to his girl. Not manly at all.
——————————————————————————
Valentine’s Day
During lunch, Kirishima has finally decided to speak to Bakugou about this whole thing. He hasn’t been getting any updates since their time in the gym, so when it was just him and his best friend having lunch together, he went for it.
“Man what the hell is going on with you and Y/N? I’ve noticed you’ve been avoiding her like crazy,” Kirishima said while stuffing his face, nervous about the answer. “I was right all along.” The blonde sadly spoke. “She’s been cheating on me since the start of our entire relationship. And with that baggy eyed freak from 1-B.”
Kirishima couldnt believe what he was hearing. He almost choked on his food. Y/N was actually cheating. I guess people don’t know people as well as he thought. “.....wow...I’m sorry man.” The red haired friend said. He was at a lost for words and didn’t know what else to say. *sigh* “don’t be. It all goes down tonight.” Bakugou said with a sad smile. “What do you mean?” His friend asked. The blonde looked at him right in his red eyes. “I’m breaking her heart tonight, on the one day of the year dedicated to love.”
Meanwhile
Instead of going to lunch, Y/N spent her time finishing up Katsuki’s surprise in his room. Yeah, he’s been having a bad past few days so why not bring him a smile with these amazing gifts on the day of love. Although Y/N didn’t really feel the love today (due to Katsuki again being so distant and ignoring her “good morning blasty💥💗!” And “Happy Valentine’s Day my love♥️!” Texts) she was determined to make sure Katsuki knew just exactly how much she loved him. She was almost done setting up in his room. Rose petals on the bed, Candles everywhere, 4 different gifts including his new support item made by you, his favorite meal is going to be set here on his table, and you and him together spending every loving second with each other. Y/N didn’t realize that because of her setup, she missed the entire rest of the day. “Meh, so worth it when I see the look on Suki’s face.” Tonight is going to be perfect.....or so you thought.
You didn’t expect to find Katsuki in your room, sitting on the edge of you bed waiting for you with his head hanging low and his shoulders slumped.
*maybe he has a surprise for me....? Yea that has to be it!* Y/N happily thought as she closed the door.
“Suki!! Happy Valentine’s Day!” Y/N said with all the love in her heart as she ran and jumped on the boy for a hug. But Bakugou didn’t say anything. He didn’t move. He just glanced back up at her, giving her this cold stare. Y/N was too busy professing her undying love for her boyfriend to even notice his scary silence. “Suki I’m really glad it’s you who I have in my life,” the love sicken girl bashfully spoke while looking at the ground. “You make me so happy and I feel so blessed being able to spend my life with you in it. I really hope you know just how much I care and lov-“ Bakugou couldn’t listen to this bullshit anymore. He pushed Y/N off of him just before she could say those 3 words that would get him to break.
“Hey! Suki? Why would you do that?!” Y/N exclaimed while standing back up. “I hate you.” The blonde spoke coldly. As those words left his mouth, Y/N heart and world were falling apart. Her eyes went wide open and her jaw slightly dropped. As she was about to say something else, Katsuki cut her off with “I’m breaking up with your dumbass. Right here. Right now!” Bakugou yelled. Y/N was in shock. She felt hurt, pain, she was just feeling so broken.
As tears filled her eyes, she asked “w-why?” as she tried to reach out to him. “Why? WHY?!” Bakugou screamed as he stood up above her slapping her hand away. “THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN WHY, Y/N. YOU’RE A FUCKING CHEATER, THATS WHY!” The blonde yelled in her face. Y/N couldn’t believe it. He thought she was cheating? Why would she even do that? She already has the best person in the world for her so why? “DONT EVEN GIVE ME THAT “it didn’t mean anything, Suki!” BULLSHIT. I DONT GIVE A FUCK, CUZ YOU’VE BEEN CHEATING ON ME AND PLAYING ME FOR A DAMN FOOL THIS ENTIRE FUCKING TIME!” Bakugou went on as his voice began to crack while tears flowed down his porcelain face. “YOU LIED TO ME. I GAVE YOU MY ENTIRE BEING AND YOU FUCKING LIED. YOU DUMB FUCKING BITCH, I CANT BELIEVE I EVER LOVED A SORRY EXCUSE OF A PERSON LIKE YOU. I HATE YOU SO DAMN MUCH, I DONT EVEN UNDERSTAND WHAT THE FUCK I SAW IN YOU!” Y/N’s heart hit the ground. No actually, it went 6 ft under because after all that he’s said, her heart is dead. Broken. In agony. “Suki I-“ “DONT FUCKING CALL ME THAT L/N.” Hearing him refer to her with her family name hit so hard. “KATSUKI PLEASE! I DIDNT DO ANYTHING I SWEA-“ as Y/N tried to reach out to him, he interrupted her again and pushed her hand away. “I SAID DONT CALL ME THAT!”
The blonde yelled, except this time....he didn’t only yell. The burning scent of smoke came into his nose and the loud explosion could be heard throughout the building. The product of what he just did came to him. He just attacked the love of his life. As much as Y/N hurt him, Katsuki still loved her with his everything. And the fact that he subconsciously attacked her broke him even more. Y/N’s screams of pain reached his ears, as he looked down and saw his precious teddy bear with a burned arm and fat tears on her face, crying in pain.
Bakugou ran down to her level to try and help her. “Y/N! Hey, hey teddy bear look I’m so-“ Y/N pushed him away before he could continue. “WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU BAKUGOU?!” Ouch. His family name felt like poison coming from your tongue. “Princess, I’m sorry I didn’t-“ “SHUT UP AND LET ME SPEAK FOR ONCE YOU FUCKING IDIOT!” Y/N screamed as she stood up to face him. “I DIDNT FUCKING CHEAT ON YOU. WHY THE HELL WOULD I DO THAT WHEN YOU’RE THE BEST DAMN THING THATS EVER HAPPENED TO ME?!..ah!” Y/N was cut off by the stinging of her wound, and Bakugou couldn’t do anything but stare. Y/N grabbed onto her wound before continuing. “I love you Bakugou. I wouldn’t even dream about doing wrong by you. I thought I was a good girlfriend or at least a good person-“ Bakugou quickly interrupted “No! Y/N you are, I just-“ “If I am then what the hell made you even think of me so lowly? What the hell did I do to make you question my loyalty? What the hell did I do that was worthy of you burning my fucking arm?!” Y/N cried out.
Silence fell upon the room. It felt like hours before anybody said anything. Both people had heavy tears in their face now. One crying because he realized he was an idiot and harmed the girl who did nothing wrong, and One crying because she did nothing wrong but ended up being a villain in her loved one’s life. Y/N broke the silence with a scoff.
“You know what Suki?” Y/N said looking him in the eyes. “Yes teddy bear?” Bakugou quickly replied with wide, desperate eyes upon hearing the loving nickname, thinking they would move on from this horrible incident. “Get the fuck out.” Y/N said in a low voice. Bakugou was shocked. He knew he fucked up horribly but after realizing the truth, he can’t leave you! He loves you too damn much for that! “What? Y/N please listen to me, I’m sor-“ “I DONT GIVE A FUCK! Leave..please.” The sad girl cried. Bakugou grabbed onto her shoulders begging her to not end this. “Y/N please! Please princess! I’m so fucking sorry! I’m an idiot, I know, and I definitely don’t deserve you but please I can’t lose you.” Bakugou said with tears falling down his face. “Please don’t do this to us. Please don’t do this to me, I’m BEGGING YOU.” “Bakugou-“ The sad boy cut you off, shaking his head, “ NO ITS SUKI. YOUR SUKI. YOUR KATSUKI.......please teddy bear I need you.......h-here let me help yo-”
You harshly pushed the boy off of you and as he tried to desperately go back to you, you used your quirk to keep him at bay. “Bakugou Katsuki. I’m leaving this room since you won’t, and I won’t come back until I know you’re out of my room.” Y/N began as she looked at him with cold, sad eyes. “From now on, you won’t have to worry about this bitch because I’ll stay out of your life, I swear. Don’t look at me, don’t touch me, DONT EVEN TALK TO ME. Just leave me alone....we’re done.” And with that Y/N ran out of her room, and out of the building, needing to get away from the place for a little bit. She could deal with her wound later. She just needed to get away. Bakugou just stood there in sadness and shock. As much as he wanted to run after you, he figured he’d give you a little breather. You guys could fix things in the morning...right?
Bakugou waited an hour in your room waiting for you, but you were right. You really weren’t coming back until he left your private area. So that’s what he did. With a heavy heart, he picked himself up and dragged his feet back to his dorm. He looked like a mess. He knew he did. Messy hair, red swollen eyes, dry lips. His entire body screamed heartbroken. When he open the door, instant regret and love hit him at once. His room was covered with rose petals and flowers, there were candles everywhere, heart shaped balloons all around, he had 4 different boxes of gifts, and two plates of extra spicy curry was set on his table, obviously cold now. What caught his eye was that one of the gift boxes had a note attached to it. With tears in his eyes, he read it.
Hey Suki! It’s Valentine’s Day! I love you to the moon and back and so much more. There’s no words that are able to describe the way I feel about you. You drive me insane in all the right ways and I love it! Lol. I hope you like your Valentine’s Day surprise. I’ve been working for weeks on it, so I’m sorry if I’ve been a little distracted. I know I’ve been kinda absent these past few days but I promise I’ll make it up to you love! Hopefully I can start with this gift that I’ve been working on. Enjoy your brand new grenade silencer! Made it myself just for you. There’s nothing else in the world like this. I love you Bakugou Katsuki!
(P.S. If Shinsou from 1-B gives you shit about it, it’s because I made him drag his ass everywhere to look for a missing part so I wouldn’t have to leave you so much)
XOXO, Your forever teddy bear <3
As he quickly opened the gift, he saw it. A silencer that would attach to his gauntlets to make the sound quieter and the blast even more powerful. It was incredible. You are incredible. He only ever mentioned the sound of his blasts once, and you listened and you fixed it.
Bakugou shook as tears began to fall onto the paper. He couldn’t believe it. Everything started coming together now. The reason you were so distracted was because you were setting this up for him. You were always on the phone because you were assembling pieces and ordering gifts for him. You weren’t cheating on him with Shinsou. You were making sure he could find something that you needed for him. Y/N L/N was truly the best girlfriend in the world. Scratch that, she is the best girlfriend in the world. No scratch that too, she’s just the best, period. And Bakugou’s idiotic self ruined everything for him. All because he couldn’t have a little faith in his teddy bear. As Katsuki cried and cried, he set everything aside.
He took the petals off his bed. He didn’t deserve it. He blew out the candles around his room. He didn’t deserve it. He popped the balloons, and ignored the food. He laid in bed with more tears than ever, and looked at the ceiling. He finally turned to his side to fall asleep, but not before grabbing the picture on his bedside nightstand. A picture of you and him. He remembers that picture oh so clearly. It was his birthday, and while he didn’t want to celebrate, you did everything in your power to make it the best one yet. And you did just that. Bakugou hugged that picture so tight, because he didn’t have you in his arms tonight. He didn’t think he would ever have you in his arms again. So Bakugou Katsuki continued to cry until he was asleep, escaping from the reality of him losing his love, his teddy bear, his princess, and his Y/N.
Bakugou Katsuki never lost, no. He’s always been ahead, always number one, always the best. He always won and achieved and nothing ever stopped him. Except this time, the only thing that stopped him and caused him to lose, was himself. He lost. He lost his everything. His world, his rock, his heart, his Y/N. He’s lost without her in his life, and at this point he thinks he’s lost at life. There was nothing that could fix him unless it was you coming back to him.
Bakugou Katsuki? He’s lost.
A/N: HOLY SHIT! That was my very first writing piece and it was just a Drabble of a thought I’ve been having. Sorry if it’s a little off and weird, I’m still new to writing but hopefully I’ll get better. This was NOT spell checked so my apologies for any mistakes. I hope you enjoyed reading this! Thx for the love!

Please Fix the Story pt 26 - The Higher Realm
The Higher realm continues. So close to the end!
Master post linked here
Enjoy!
______________________________
Time passed, but it was difficult to tell how much. Time worked so differently in the different realms. How long did we really spend trying to save one lower realm? Minutes? Decades? It felt like no time and forever. Adonis and I traveled to lower realm after lower realm, fixing the stories, stabilizing the world before heading back to the higher realm.
Some lower realms were easy, if a bit annoying, such as the high school dramas. In those I would often play the “average” new girl at a school. I would meet new people, and was supposed to go on to have romance, betrayals and coming of age realizations. I quickly realized that befriending all my supposed romantic leads instead of dating them, reconciling with my rivals instead of humiliating them, and pushing towards success all together was a much more satisfying strategy. Fortunately, graduating valedictorian with a happy and psychologically healthy group of teenagers often stabilized worlds that had been torn apart by half-baked character design or infighting between rivals.
I took calculus so many times that I could recite lessons in my sleep, but at least the worlds were saved. Despite our success, however, Adonis was often frustrated. He had his own vision of how we were to save these realms. His plans almost always involved us dating, making the high school romance “successful”.
I refused.
He had been a lot more likable since our first meeting, and I was able to consider him a close friend and ally… but I felt uncomfortable at the idea of even pretending to have a romantic relationship. It was definitely a more difficult route to stabilize the world without a romance, but I chose it every time. Adonis pouted and complained, but couldn’t argue with success, and I was successful.
Some lower realms were more difficult. In particular, zombie apocalypse stories were my least favorites. The worlds often couldn’t be stabilized until a cure was found or humanity’s survival was assured. This meant that Adonis and I sometimes spent decades within these realms, working to build armies, or teams of scientists. There was hardly ever any running water, which meant showering was few and far between.
My unwashed self was made even filthier by my absolute failure at using anything with range. Bow and arrow, guns… anything that would keep me out of the gore, I couldn’t hit even the largest of monsters. Fortunately I picked up a sword with relative ease, which allowed me to fight… but this also meant I got covered in rotten blood and guts.
I hated zombie worlds the most.
Realm after realm. We worked constantly, spending very little time in between in the higher realms. Adonis would often try to use those moments to push his ideas regarding fate and the higher realm’s story, but as soon as I rejected him, which I did every time, he would simply scowl and pull us into the next lower realm to save.
It was getting old.
“How many lower realms are there?” I asked one evening as we recovered from our latest mission, rubbing my sore shoulder where I had taken a blow in the last sci-fi alien battle. The wounds disappeared with the realm traveling, but my mind still could feel the wound, projecting the pain long after I had left that form behind.
Adonis leaned back in his chair, his grin a little too bitter to be a natural expression. “How many unfinished stories are there? Infinite, Bel. There are infinite lower realms. We will never be able to save them all. Not like this.”
“It’s not like there’s a lot of options.”
“There are options. You just don’t want to hear them.”
“What, this fate you keep talking about?” I sighed, closing my eyes, tired. “ It sounds like a terrible idea.”
“It’s not.” His voice was quiet, but the intensity shown through all the same. “It’s our duty. Everyone’s survival depends on it.”
“But what you’re saying is: we follow along some sort of script…”
“Fate.”
“…fate… here, in the higher realm. And that is somehow supposed to fix the lower realms?”
He chuckled. “You’re oversimplifying it, but pretty much. We follow our fate, and the heroes of the lower realms will find their happiness tied to ours.”
“What if they don’t want that ending? What if they don’t want that happiness?”
“Of course they do! Everyone wants a happily ever after with their destined one.” He snapped. My eyes flickered open to study his enraged expression.
“I don’t.”
“You’re selfish!”
I shrugged. “Am I? If you’re right, we submit to fate here, everyone in the lower realms gets an automatic happy ending… but most of those worlds aren’t breaking because they don’t have a happy ending. They need a wider world, different ideas… and what about the side characters, even the villains… what about their happiness?”
“They don’t matter.”
“Why not?” I raised an eyebrow. “Just because they’re the villains?”
“They’re evil.” He stood up, trying to tower over me. An intimidation tactic, one that might have worked before we’d spent countless years fighting in life-or-death battles together.
“Have you met the heroes and heroines of some of these realms?” I laughed. “They’re not much better. I don’t think these roles are as clear as you would like them to be. And I don’t think you and I having a happy ending together, and forcing a simplistic ‘and they lived happily ever after’ on all the lower realms will actually fix them. In fact…” I stood up, and he stepped back slightly at the danger in my tone. “I bet we would break them all the more. Are you really so foolish as to think that saving a universe of worlds would be so simple?”
“…” Adonis was gritting his teeth, his hands clenched so tightly the knuckles were white. But I didn’t back down. Didn’t step back. I knew he wouldn’t hit me. He wouldn’t dare step out of the role he imagined himself to be in. Wouldn’t dare cross a line that might ruin his chances at the happy ending he seemed to crave so desperately.
“…” The silence stretched on between us. We were at an impasse. He wanted to follow fate. He wanted clearly defined roles and rules to follow. And I?
I wanted freedom.
*** Soul transfer 11% complete. ***
It’s been forever since I last saw those words… I thought it had disappeared. For some reason, I felt a deep sense of relief at the glowing blue sentence. Something within me had frozen during these many trips to the lower realms, but finally it was growing again.
“The next world is waiting.” Adonis spoke up, his tone flat. I noticed an odd shifting of his gaze, a reluctance to meet my own, and felt a sense of unease.
I won’t like this next world. I cracked my knuckles and gave him a thumbs up. Well, no sense running from a challenge.
We left.
______________________________
I woke up in a luxurious canopy bed. Staring up at the fabric , I raised my arms and have a cheer.
“YES! NOT A ZOMBIE WORLD!”
On the downside, the setting appeared to be a more primitive era, medieval at best, which meant no running water, but at least I appeared to be noble or wealthy.
At least if I suffer, I’ll be clean while I do it!
“Princess?” A young woman dressed as a servant entered the room, seeming very confused. “Are you all right? I heard you yelling.”
I smiled brightly at her. “No worries. It was just a nightmare.”
She visibly relaxed. “Even so, you seem in a much better mood, if I may say so.”
“Really?”
“Yes, you haven’t broken a single thing this morning.” She, unfortunately did not seem to be kidding. “I’m so glad you’ve accepted your father’s decision.
I didn’t have my character’s memories yet. I needed to accept the mission first. In the meantime, acting too out of character could destabilize an already poorly functional world.
“I’m still… thinking it over.” I spoke up cautiously.
“It’s not so bad, your highness.” She smiled at me. “Most young girls feel a little uneasy when their father arranges their husband. But you’ll be happy. I just know it.”
Arranged marriage?
“After all, Prince Harold is reported to be a true gentleman, a might warrior, and a handsome young man!” She sighed dreamily. “Any woman would be thrilled for a chance to be his bride.”
“I’m. Sure.” I spoke through gritted teeth, the satin sheets crumpling in my grip. Adonis, when I find you, I’m going to make you regret every life decision you’ve ever made… and the ones you’ve only considered making. What kind of lower realm did you land us in? As I plotted my revenge, the mission screen popped up.
**** NEW WORLD: A Divided Kingdom****
This is a romance fantasy story featuring a prince and a princess from different kingdoms, putting aside their differences to save the world.
“I already don’t like this.” I muttered.
The Princess Alaire of the Yenlar Kingdom was a clever, independent woman, horrified at the idea of an arranged marriage. Prince Harold of the Bestion Kingdom felt differently. He fell in love at first sight and vowed to woo the young maiden. The couple was different in almost every way, and seemed destined to bicker and fight.
“Then how about we don’t get married?”
But fate had other plans…
“Of course it did!”
A terrifying beast threatened to destroy both their kingdoms, and to survive, the political marriage had to go forward. Uniting the kingdoms, and therefore their armed forces, was the only way to save their people.
However, despite the happy ending, the first book was not well received by readers and the trilogy was abandoned due to poor sales. The reason given was that the romance was “forced” and unbelievable.
Your mission is to bring a satisfying end to the story, while making ensuring the survival of both kingdoms.
**** DO YOU ACCEPT THIS MISSION? ****
YES? NO?
“Quick question.” I spoke quietly to the glowing words in front of me. “Do I have to marry the prince to ensure an ending?”
The kingdoms will not unite without the political marriage.
“That wasn’t what I asked. I asked if I HAVE to marry the prince. What if I can save both kingdoms without a political marriage?”
The stability of the world is all that matters.
“No lecture on the necessity of fate?”
**** DO YOU ACCEPT THIS MISSION? ****
YES? NO?
I grinned. “Sure. Let’s do it.”
As the words faded away, I jumped out of bed. My head spun slightly as I accepted the memories from the poor princess of the original story.
She had not been happy.
She had dreams, ambitions. The Kingdom of Yenlar allowed for women to inherit the throne, and as the firstborn she was ready to take over from her father, to rule her nation. She had spent her entire life preparing. Studying law, economics, warfare…
And all of it had meant nothing in the end.
She had begged for a political treaty. One that did not involve marriage. The Kingdom of Bestion had refused to even discuss it. They stated that there was too much distrust between the kingdoms to move forward without some sort of permanent assurance. Even the threat of annihilation from the ancient beast of legend wasn’t enough to have them reconsider. That wasn’t the full story, though.
Later she discovered that Prince Harold had seen her at a party. He had supposedly fallen in love with her at first sight, and became determined to marry her. He had learned of her plans to marry a minor noble, one who would support her position on the throne without causing an imbalance of power within the nobility. He had no chance, as far as she was concerned. The threatened destruction of their people was just the perfect opportunity to force the matter.
She had lost all power. Becoming a figurehead, a beautiful statue beside the true king, Harold. He ruled over both nations with an iron fist, treating her own people more harshly, much to the approval of his staff. She slowly became bitter and deranged, watching the destruction of the people and the nation she loved so dearly.
Beyond the end of the first book, when the realm’s story ended, she had attempted to poison him and failed. Harold had been disappointed, but felt that she still had use as a figurehead. They faked a stroke, and kept her mute and weak with poisons. A lovely doll. A perfect figurehead.
…is this a fantasy or a horror? Sheesh, no wonder the trilogy wasn’t going to sell. I shuddered, still standing awkwardly next to the beautiful bed that had belonged to a lovely young woman.
I will change this story. I spoke silently to the memories, feeling a sense of relief that didn’t belong to me as I did so.
First, let’s try to reason with Adonis. He and I had worked together in multiple realms, side by side. We were friends. We may not see eye to eye when it came to our approach towards fate and the lower realms, but he had never forced me to do something I didn’t want. He had always respected me and backed off when I said no, even if it made him unhappy.
Hopefully this time will be the same. I thought uneasily. Hopefully he will listen.

“No.” His tone was gleeful, but his face was calm, towing with a silver goblet rather than meeting my gaze.
“Are you joking?” I leaned forward, keeping a gentle smile on my face to fool the guards and our fathers who sat on the other end of the enormous dining table.
“I’m perfectly serious, Princess Alaire. Our kingdoms face certain doom at the hands of the ancient beast. The only way to survive is to work together. We can only work together if we trust each other. The only way the Kingdom of Bestion will trust the Kingdom of Yenlar is with a marriage alliance. It’s out of my hands.”
I reached forward and took the cup from his hands, forcing him to look at me. “Why are you forcing this, Adonis? You know it didn’t work out so well for the originals.”
“Careful Princess.” His eyes glanced over at the nearby guards. “You don’t want anything to destabilize the situation further, now do you? Better to act as a proper princess should.”
“Answer the question. This plan already failed. Why do you think it will work?”
“Simple.” He leaned forward and plucked the goblet back from my hands. “We’re different. You may not want to admit it, but we have spent lifetimes at each other’s side. Growing up, going to school, facing enemies, fighting together… we could make this work. It would be a wonderful ending.”
“You know what happened to Alaire after the first book.”
“I would never do that to you.”
“But you are.” I growled, wishing I could punch him. “You are trying to make me a beautiful figurehead, just like Harold did to Alaira.”
“We would rule side by side.”
“What use is that promise, if you are already ignoring my wishes and forcing me to do this in the first place?”
He shook his head. “You have to trust me. This is the only way we can defeat the monster, and stabilize this realm. We’ll save this world. Together.” He smiled. “It’s our fate.”
I threw a plate at him, forcing him to fling himself on the floor to avoid injury. Walking out, I ignored my father’s shouts of rage. Picking up a bag I had packed ahead of time, just in case, I changed into some light armor, grabbed a sword, and headed out into the forest.
If I couldn’t win by a political alliance, I was going to find another way to save the world.
I was going monster hunting.
I searched Princess Alaira’s memories of the legends and stories, going out in a northern direction towards the area known as Death Valley.
As I marched onward, my thoughts wandered over the time I had spent since I had woken up in the Higher Realm. I couldn’t help but feel disappointed with Adonis. He might truly think that he was saving the world by insisting on going through with the marriage, but his lack of willingness to even consider other options was frustrating. He was the only person consistently by my side through every one of these worlds, someone I considered a friend, and being unable to rely on him served to make me feel all the lonelier.
My mind briefly touched on the assassin of the first realm, Liam. I had thought with his comments and actions that he had known about my mission… that he might be from the higher realm too. But no matter how much I looked for him, no matter how much I hoped to see him again, I never did.
Maybe I was wrong. Maybe he was someone from the lower realm, and I’ll never have the chance to see him, to thank him.
I felt a sense of despair. How long can I keep doing this? Is this why Adonis preaches following our fate so much? Is he as tired of traveling, tired of the missions and the different lives? Is he just hoping to end all this?
I sighed, keeping moving. I’m not that tired, not tired enough to sacrifice my freedom. Not yet, anyways.
It took several days of traveling. Fortunately from my years of experience in zombie worlds, I was well prepared to survival in the wilderness. At least here the rivers were clean, allowing me to bathe occasionally. Finally I was at the entrance of the valley, staring up at the pillars on either side.
There were ominous words carved deeply into the stone.
Only death lies ahead.
I stared at the words silently for a few moments, and then shrugged.
“Still better than marrying Adonis.”
I moved forward.
______________________________
The valley was dark, a deep fog settled in permanently, apparently unaffected by the weather beyond its borders. Dark twisted purple trees rose all around me, their roots tearing through the earth desperate searching for nutrients. The valley was quiet, suffocating in an unsettling silence. My presence there felt like an intrusion, my instincts screaming at me to run away, to escape.
I kept moving.
There were no other signs of life. But I knew at least one other being lived here, the reason why nothing else dared to.
The Ancient beast.
There were no descriptions of it in the legends. Just that it was deadly, enough to take on entire armies. And that it was terrifying.
I feel like I should have seen something by now, if it was so large. I sighed, sitting on one of the trees, staring up at the mountain ahead of me. Shouldn’t it be easier to find an enormous beast that terrified an entire world?
Wait.
I looked up, struggling to see the top of the mountain in front of me.
I’m in a valley…
The mountain moved up and down, with regular motions.
There shouldn’t be a mountain here.
It was breathing.
I drew my sword, inwardly despairing. I had underestimated the sheer scale of the monster. I had thought it would be the size of a house, an elephant. Instead it towered stories above me, unimaginably large.
I was doomed.
There was a rumble as the beast in front of me shifted. I couldn’t tell the shape, just an impression of scales and spikes. Slowly, something lowered down in front of me, stretching forward in all directions, filling my vision. I saw teeth larger than my own body, the white of them contrasting with the dark fog around us. As I prepared myself for my death, an eye opened to stare at me.
It was a beautiful dark blue.
“…”
Suddenly, I felt relief. It was incomprehensible. I was standing in front of an ancient beast, enormous and terrifying, and instead of fear and dread… I felt safe.
I raised a hand, almost despite myself. “Hello there.”
The eye blinked. I comforted myself that it hadn’t eaten me yet.
“I think you look awesome. I’m Princess Alaira from the nearby kingdom of Yenlar. I actually came here to kill you, to protect my people… but now I realize that you could crush me like an ant, and that was a bad plan.”
The eye blinked twice. It seemed more confused than anything.
“I have a much better plan, if you would be willing to listen to me.” I let out a laugh, slightly startled at how… villainous it sounded.

The creature let out a sound like thunder. I felt that it was laughing too.

The wedding was this morning.
I was surprised as I drew near to see the party going. You would think that after I disappeared, they might have canceled or delayed it. I assumed that Adonis had felt sure that I would agree with him in the end. That I wouldn’t be able to let the world end just because I didn’t want to marry him.
Well too bad, buddy. This princess has a different plan in mind!
I could see him, standing on the elevated stage before two thrones, waiting. I couldn’t see his expression from this distance, but I imagine he was barely hiding his worry. Alaire’s father and Harold’s father were also waiting on the platform, their postures betraying their impatience.
“Let’s get this party started!” I yelled.
ROOOOOOOAAAAAAR!
The ancient beast let out a triumphant roar as he flew closer and lowered his head, letting me jump down onto the platform before landing behind me, a large, threatening mountain of a creature.
“Alaire?” The king called out, confused. “What are you doing?”
“Hello, Father.” I also nodded to Adonis, who stared back.
“What is this?”
“Your daughter is a witch!” The King of Bestion shouted, drawing his ceremonial sword. “She betrayed us!”
“Hold on, father.” Adonis held out his hand, stopping his attack. “I’m sure it’s not what it looks like.”
I grinned.
“Nope. It’s exactly what it looks like. I’ve teamed up with the Ancient being. We’re friends now.” I gestured at the monster high above us, who let out a grim chuckle, shaking the ground. “So now I make the rules, got it?”
“…”
“I’ll take everyone’s stunned silence as happy agreement! Now, first rule: Wedding canceled.”
“What?”
“What?”
“You can’t do this!”
The three other royals on stage shouted simultaneously. I simply pointed again at the enormous creature.
“I can do whatever I want. The big scary monster behind me says so. Next, the kingdom of Bestion will surrender to me, as will the kingdom of Yenlar.”
“You want to rule the world?” Adonis’s gaze was… disappointed. I grinned shamelessly. “Nope. But here’s the thing: Our kingdoms face certain doom at the hands of the ancient beast. The only way to survive is to convince the monster not to kill us. The monster only trusts me. So I have to rule both kingdoms.” I shrugged. “It’s out of my hands.”
I threw his words from earlier back at him, and felt satisfied as he winced in recognition.
“We… surrender.” His words were quiet, defeated.
“You unruly child!” My father tried to shout, but a roar from the monster above us silenced him. He quickly surrendered too. I accepted both surrenders, quickly organizing the meetings to bring our governments together under one rule. Fortunately, the princess’s years of study served me well, guiding me smoothly through the process.
______________________________
I had one more confrontation with Adonis, the night before the coronation. He was escorted to my rooms by guards, saying he had a request. I hesitated briefly, but allowed him in, waving the guards behind the door so we could speak freely.
“What was that?” He shouted as soon as they had left.
I stayed sitting, forcing myself to be calm. “I fixed the story.”
“You ruined everything! Even if it stabilizes this world, it will ruin it in the long run.”
“Says you.”
“Trust me.” He threw up his hands as he paced back and forth. “Everything will go a lot smoother if you STOP CHANGING THE STORY.”
“I thought that was why we were here, though?” I sighed, leaning back in my chair and cleaning my nails with a blade. “To fix the lower realms, to save these worlds? That requires change, right?”
He paused in his movements, glaring at me. “Stop acting stupid. These worlds are broken because they didn’t follow the rules. We have to follow them perfectly.”
“I don’t want to though.” I shuddered. “No offense, but if the story is going to require us to have a romantic relationship, I’m finding an alternate solution.”
“That’s what the story requires, you have your role to play. You know the consequences of not playing the right part.”
I sighed. “No, there’s always different paths to take. You’re a good friend, and I’m glad to have you by my side, but that’s different than love.”
“…”
“You clearly don’t love me either, so why are you making such a fuss about this? As long as we complete what we came here to do, that’s all that matters, right?”
“…”
“Right?”
Adonis stepped closer to me, his atmosphere slightly threatening. “Why are you so different from what you are supposed to be?”
“What are you…?”
“Why can’t you just accept.”
His hand grabbed my wrist, the grip painful.
“your.”
He pulled me closer until our faces were inches apart. His bright blue eyes were blazing with anger as they stared into my own.
“fate.”
Letting me go, he walked away, putting some distance between us, before turning back to face me.
“This lower realm is stabilized. We should return.” His smile was cold. “The next mission is a little different from our previous ones. We’ll talk about it later.”
“…”
“And next time…?” He laughed, a bitter sound. “You’ll play your part whether you want to or not.”
THUD.
The blade in my hand threw through the air, stabbing into the wall inches from his face. I smiled cheerfully as he looked back at me, shocked.
“Try touching me again, and I’ll cut off something you’ll miss. We’ll discuss missions and roles again in the higher realm, but for now?” I rang a bell and guards came in, escorting him out. “I have a coronation to plan.”
______________________________
My coronation was held outside so that the Ancient beast could stand behind me. It seemed cheerful, letting out victorious roars and swaying from side to side. The people cheered as well, seeming a lot happier than I expected them to be. I guess they’re relieved that they won’t be eaten by the giant monster? I wondered idly how I was going to incorporate the creature into the day to day life of a monarch. For an odd reason I had very little doubt that the monster would stick around.
However, all my plans came to nothing. As the crown was placed on my head, bright blue words formed in the air in front of me:
100% complete.
**** You have finished the mission! ****
It was time to go.
At little sad, I looked up at the ancient monster above me. “Thank you, friend for your help. I wish I could stay with you longer.”
A mournful cry echoed through the world. It seemed to understand that I was leaving. Before I could say anything more to reassure it, the world around me shimmered and disappeared.
Only to reveal a furious Adonis standing in front of me.
“Happy now, Your Majesty?” He sneered.
“Oof, someone’s still a little angry that I used an ancient monster conquer the world. Believe it or not, I’m sorry that I’ve hurt you. But you know why I did what I did. Let’s talk about it in the morning.”
I walked away, feeling his glare on my back long after I was out of sight.
______________________________
When I woke up, I realized that I couldn't move.
I panicked, struggling to move my arms and legs, only managing to turn my head slightly. Enough to see Adonis’s smug expression as he sat by my bed.
“It’s time for our story to progress, Bel.” His smile was strange, twisted. I couldn’t talk back, I shook my head slightly side to side.
“I’m the hero, you are the heroine. If the relationship between us can’t be advanced by working together, than it must be forged in adversity." He reached down and picked me up, carrying me out of the small cottage I had arranged for myself and into the castle courtyard. Whatever drug he had injected me with was slowly wearing off, and I struggled in his arms, finally able to shout.
“Put me down!”
To my surprise he did, and although I struggled to stay upright, I kept my balance and glared at him.
“What are you planning?”
He sighed quietly. “I’m tired of always being the one to compromise. It’s time for you to make a sacrifice, Bel. I’ve avoided this so far, worried that progressing our story this way would kill you, but it seems that it is our fate that we take this risk. It’s… unfortunate. I do very much hope you don’t die.” He paused, trying to smile at me. “Don’t worry. It’s only temporary. I’ll come and rescue you soon.”
“A sacrifice?” I felt cold, even as I stood in the warm afternoon sun. My thoughts were slow to form, possibly a side effect of the medication. “Why?”
He shrugged. “There’s an order to everything. Rules. Law. They are all that stand between us and pure chaos. No one can ignore them. Not you. Not even me.”
“Then sacrifice yourself, asshole! Why send me?”
He shrugged. “It’s your role to play, not mine. Your fate.”
“Screw fate! I don’t care if you say it’s temporary or not! Friends don’t sacrifice friends!” I was furious, still weak and feeling helpless.
His hand reached out and brushed my cheek, the touch freezing my skin. I wanted to move away but I could still barely move, only managing to glare at him. “Don’t look at me with those eyes. It’s not my fault. If you want to blame anyone, blame the story.”
“Ad…”
“Sorry, you must accept your fate.” I felt a pinch in my arm, the stick of a needle as he injected something into the muscle. Immediately darkness overwhelmed me.
“We all do.”
Everything faded into darkness.
______________________________
When I woke up, I was in a strange world, surrounded by forest. I lay on my back, still feeling weak, fury coursing through my veins.
Adonis and I had worked well together, despite arguing multiple times in the past. But now… any goodwill I had towards him was gone. He had betrayed me. Knocked me out and sent me to somewhere dangerous, somewhere I could be killed, just to follow his precious fate. To get the story he wanted.
“Are you lost?
I looked over at the source of the voice. It was a tall young man with dark hair, wearing grey, non-descript clothing. He kneeled down next to me, and I found myself staring into dark blue eyes.
“Seems a good description for my current situation.” I smiled despite the dizziness. “Nice to meet you, Stranger.”
He grinned, reaching out a hand to help me up. “Call me Liam.”
Liam? Could he be…?
“…Nice to meet you, Liam.” I laughed. “Or should I say: nice to see you again?”

megstiel and samruby
starting off with the sexiest ones sooooo true <3
megstiel: look, it’s gender swapped enemies-to-lovers where the girl is evil one getting soft and the guy is the good, pure hero going bad (okay, this is samruby a bit too…) how am I, a simple bisexual, not supposed to be into that. I love that meg was a whole fleshed out character with a story and history and motives of her own way before meeting castiel (unlike most female interests on this show #RIP) and that their relationship was basically all chemistry-based in the beginning because they had sooooooo much. and then s7 happened and she stayed with him under the pretense of it just being her main form of self-protection, but it’s clear they actually began to care about each other and wanted to keep the other safe. she actually looked out for him and defended him against the winchesters when he was already in a very vulnerable, self-hating period and I’m like “yes go off queen.”
sometimes I wish the rest of her arc hadn’t been just about them in the end but it’s okay because it was such a bittersweet, tragic ending and done well all considering. I also wish they had a lot more onscreen interaction while they could and it makes me insane how they never show cas grieving her, even for people who somehow only saw it as platonic (which HOW????) you can’t deny that was an important friendship for him at least y’know. but also consider: when he calls her thorny beauty <333
samruby: SAMRUBYYYYY. I used to be “I don’t actually ship it, because it’s #toxic” can you believe. now I’m very “I see it, I enjoy it” + your samruby endgame & t4t truthing definitely made me see the light and enjoy it more and see the true depth of it. so many people were involved in manipulating sam to make the apocalypse happen from the angels to azazel & lilith, but ruby never saw sam as just her part of the lucifer group project. she ALWAYS saw it as helping sam reach his true potential and stop being afraid of his powers and become the king of hell she knew he could be.
and she cares about him soooooo much. we don’t talk enough about how she’s the only reason he’s still alive. like, his revenge mission in-between s3 and s4 was becoming a suicide mission and she refused to let him isolate himself and work/drink himself to death. she protected him, stayed with him, and helped him get stronger & smarter instead. she's literally the only reason he’s still alive, the reason why he kept fighting and got confidence in himself.
also as basically the only m/f romance we get to see interact naturally and often onscreen because spn refuses to let women be main characters, their interactions in s4 make me sooooo. like yes there is the obvious inherent sexiness of blood drinking, that is a given. but they have multitudes! they’re SOFT around each other!! the way she encourages him and cheers him on as he masters his abilities <3 the way he smiles at her approval and support <3 <3 the way she jokes about him being a buff nerd <3 <3 <3
I think in canon the ending is definitely a tragic love story, with ruby truly believing they felt the same and were on the same page (which is still delicious tho.) but with how many pointless characters got added and brought back later on, there was sooo much they could’ve done with a ruby resurrection (not whatever that cameo in s15 was.) a redemption arc, her turning against lucifer, her mysterious past being explored, her and lilith being besties. a sam and ruby relationship post-apocalypse would've been so interesting. like it was the biggest betrayal of his life but also he owes her everything and truly never felt more powerful & confident in himself than when he was with her. also I think it’s insane that they almost never bring her up after s4. like that was the most important relationship of his life outside of jess and you’re just never going to bring that up. I cannot find the suncaptor post about it, but is that he feels like he can't grieve her?
last note: my controversial samruby opinion I guess is that I refuse to think ruby 1.0 & ruby 2.0 are different demons (RESPECT the long con) but do enjoy the ruby-is-jess headcanons when I’m feeling evil (jess and ruby both believed in sam and hated how his family treated him, coincidence? maybe, maybe not)
send me a ship and I’ll give you my (brutally) honest opinion on it

Can I request about Harry Potter x reader? Lovers to Enemies?
The reader got ridiculed over and Harry even cheated the reader.
(Y/n) joined to Voldemort’s side when she can’t take of Harry’s bullshit. Voldemort thinks it was a joke but (y/n) proves that she was worthy to be a death eater.
(Y/n) did got her revenge on Umbridge and killed her off. What shocking the most is (y/n) stepped in to protect Voldemort and had a duel with Harry who seemed distracted when he learns that (y/n) was now working with Voldemort. (Y/n) wont feel a thing towards Harry anymore as she nearly the one who came close to kill him. when Voldemort loses and dies, (y/n) disappeared into thin air and vows vengeance for Voldemort.
Hello dear guess what your the first official person to request a one shot which is amazing thank you for considering me ✨ *virtual hugs*
Soo this is my first request I hope you like it if not sorry I'm not an expert mega writer.
Alright so for this request alot of angst is involved and this time with the reader being a eater without further ado letss get into it:
Death eater reader X Harry Potter
Tumblr media
Betrayal to my heart💔
Potter...when you think of potter you often think of the infamous boy whom lived. Kind, courages and famous willing to go out of his way to help people In need. Well not this time.
Y/n was sitting in the bathroom of Hogwarts within the Gryffindor common room crying. "Bastard!" You screamed as tears come over your face running with snot and puffy eyes. How could the one boy you fell in love with break your heart he was supposed to love you until the dark lord is gone. Y/n looks at the necklace he gave her "remember me when we fight together y/n" your face in anger threw the necklace at the wall. You wore Gryffindor robes with expensive decor you should've just dropped Harry from the start.
"Harry...potter...Harry how could you" you mumble to yourself as you sit there in the porcaline bathroom. Your hands wiped your tears away looking into the mirror when a whisper approached. "Yyyyyy/nnnnn comeeeeee tooooo meeeee" you heard in interest you came closer to the voice that came off like a snake. "Commeeeeee" the voice hisses it sounded as if it were coming from the forbidden forest.
As you ran through the Hogwarts castle you came across the back looking past Hagrid's hut out side to the forbidden forest. "Merlin it's all the way out there but- that's where professor Dumbledore said not to go" before leaning against the walls of hogwarts. You cringe at the memory of when Harry broke your heart.
"ginny i-" he whispers as she came closer kissing the boy y/n loved dearly on the lips. You came in round the corner as you saw the horrible sight "traitor" you tear up running to the Hogwarts bathroom.
You grew furious and determined striking out of the room towards the forbidden forest. "Potter shall pay...no rue the day he messed with me" you ran towards the forest in the middle of the night. As you ran for what seemed like hours a gust of wind blew across your hair. "Gah must be a storm coming" before a black mist appeared with a hiss "hahaha foolish girl" a pair of red eyes appear within the fog when a man with a smooth face smiled evily. "M-merlin it's the dark lord" he sneers and points his wand at your throat "I shall kill the girl the boy loves-".
You cut him off "actually we aren't together anymore I-i hate him" you stutter while holding your hands in the air. "and I-i" a rise of hatred came over you as you shout to the dark lord "I shall join your army as your henchmen, a soilder, a death eater to kill the boy I loved".
Voldermort had a meciless laugh escape his lips. "Whyyy ssshould I let a foolishh girl like you join myyyy armmyyy" before you grabbed your wand "I hate potter and I want revenge". Voldemort mutters out "Avada-" you scream back "EXPELLIAMUS!" You shout as a red light shot through the green curse knocking Voldemort between the trees.
"I'm powerful...I have more knowledge then you think I can give you all the information of potter if you let me" you glare at him. The dark lord smiles as a power hungry greediness hurls over him. "I indeed take back my word for you as foolish but dear child...this is no easy task" you stand your ground. "I-i don't care I want to kill him" before he grabs your arm "very well- so determined and your eyes are full of hatred" he grabs your arm and presses his wand revealing a tattoo within your arm. "You ssswear your loyalty to me" you mutter "yes of course" a mark with a snake and skull appears. Your skin felt as though it were burning but you ignores it...it felt so right Soon the boy whom lived shall die before your very eyes.
Voldemort smiles "you will need training Bella can teach you as I...need information we shall strike once the moon rises high" he apparates as he put his slim fingers around y/ns shoulders.
Days...months pass by as you train within your army. Becoming powerful by the day the dark lord praises you. Your apperance changed you no longer have your usual uniform but a dark hood with your hair shorter. Your wand is a different shade almost as if your no longer innocent. "Your ready y/n" he applauded proudly.
He raises above the army "tonight we shall strike and y/n shall lead us to the entrance". As the crowd cheered you looked over proudly. "I'm going to show potter no mercy!" You scream proudly.
As the army apparates you teamed up with Bellatrix and Fenrir following behind you run into the doors of Hogwarts prepared to await whatever stood in your way. "Oh Merlin it's her" a short lady in pink sneered her face cringing like a frog. "Who do you think you are entering my school" before you grow furious "AVADA KEDAVRA!" A green light shoots her back she stood still dead. The woman manipulated you and tortuered you when you trained in the orders army.
Voldemort starts to shout "now!" As the army breaks in while the students slept. Every boy and girl dying over the death eaters. Harry rushes down as the sight was brutal dead students all over the grounds of the main entrance. As you look up smiling "oh hello potter" you cackle evily. Harry quickly rushes to grab his wand "y/n what did you do!" He grew scared as to your new apperance and mark on your arm. "Stupify" you shout as he ran up the stairs you begin to follow him. "y/n stop this isn't you...what happened to the kind girl that wouldn't hurt anyone" before you shout "you caused this potter!" Before chasing him again up to the very top of the castle.
The final showdown Harry against y/n when Voldemort appeared behind you "very good child" you smirk "of course master". Harry grew confused "m-master you...a death eater?!?". You growled "Silence potter" as the dark lord places his arm around your shoulder "very good but I shall kill the boy y/n" as Harry shouts "expelliamu-" "stupify" you shout protecting the dark lord. "Hahahaha foolish boy I never gave up here I am" before he shouts "AVADA KEDAVRA!" A green light shoots out before Harry shoots back a red light.
All of a sudden the red light shot out as Voldemort shouted once more Harry with the love of his parents screams "EXPELLIAMUS" as Voldemort couldn't handle the power. Harry shoots with his wand as Voldemort falls flat the light hitting him in the chest he falls to the ground. "He's dead...master is dead" you grew wide eyed.
You begin to sneer "I'll get you potter and your mudblood friends every last one! Hahahahhaa!" You disappear into thin air aparating out of sight. "Merlin what happened im sorry...Merlin I'm sorry" he sighs as his scar starts to hurt.
A lovers betrayal caused by potter's demise never to be repaired always broken. A betrayal to y/ns heart.

Ayoooo talented writer! Can i please request a akaashi x reader where they meet at some party and have one of those cool convo (you know those who always seem to happen in the kitchen ahah) and they fall for eachother but are too shy/insecure to exchange their number but can’t stop thinking about eachother until they meet again... ;)
Warning(s): drinking, cursing, fluff-attack lol
I changed it up a little bit! The timeskip would be a little tricky in this sense, but I hope you enjoy it regardless!
Apple Juice. (Akaashi Keiji x Reader)
---------------------------------------
“Y/N-chan, you don’t want a cup of rice punch?”
“Don’t be a downer, Y/N~”
You watch with mild interest as Daichi tugs on the collars of both Sugawara and Hinata, stifling a small giggle alongside Yachi as the two members of the Karasuno volleyball club now lay limp in Daichi’s grasp. Suga pouts at the captain as he downs his second cup with flushed cheeks, and you quirk your eyebrow in amusement as Hinata holds both arms out at you as if he wants you to take him like a child.
Daichi smiles for the picture you snap with your phone, not letting go of either of their collars.
“Have fun, ladies. This is the fun before training camp officially starts. Don’t let these idiots make you do anything you don’t want to.” Daichi sighs in apology, tugging the two pouting boys along as you hum in amusement, sipping on the juice in your cup.
“I feel like Daichi is such a dad, no?” Yachi states casually, and a coy grin spreads across your lips in response.
“In like...a platonic way, right?” You grin into your cup as Yachi enters a blushing fit in embarrassment, swatting you on the shoulder as Kiyoko giggles on your right.
“Like there’s any other way I’d mean it!”
“Ah Hitoka, you’re so cute and fun to tease- I’m sorry.” You stroke her hair gently through her embarassed antics as Kiyoko’s giggles only increase in volume. The third-year nudges your side slightly as she covers her mouth with one hand, suddenly noticing something on the other side of the room.
Akaashi Keiji couldn’t help but feel the corner of his lips twitch at the way you had affectionately been cuddling Yachi, watching mildly as you did so with a laugh bubbling from your throat: not realizing that he had gone from hardly listening to Bokuto to not listening at all as the blue-eyed boy seemed to be looking on in a dazed-like manner.
“Y/N-san, don’t look now, but it seems some of the Fukurodani boys are looking in this direction- I said don’t look now!”
Kiyoko audibly sighs into her palm as you stupidly raise your head in searching, meeting the eyes of Akaashi Keiji, setter for the Fukurodani team, as he seemed to have been supposed to be listening to Bokuto’s antics, instead accidentally catching your eye in the background.
You both look away at the same time, a heat on your features as you groan in slight embarrassment, Yachi finding solace in erupting in a fit of giggles at your embarrased misfortune in a small plight for revenge.
“Hitokaaa-”
“Come on, Y/N- you’re so pretty tonight, I bet he wasn’t the only one looking.”
“I told you not to look, how did you make it so obvious?” Kiyoko questions in genuine confusion as you glare playfully in her direction.
“And this is the part where I go find some lemonade.” You mumble, a tad bit embarrassed at the nature of the conversation before standing, dusting your jeans off. “Would either of my two lovely best friends want anything?”
“Nooo don’t be sarcastic we love you-”
“That could have been my potential husband, but now look who’s never going to get to talk to him out of sheer shame.” You joke, sticking your tongue out before making your way into the kitchen, shaking your head at the giggle they share when you turn around.
Kuroo grins when you enter, and you wave a little in greeting with a small smile: you knew him from the practice matches Karasuno had against Nekoma, having established a pretty good friendship with him afterwards.
“Just the girl I was looking for!”
“Oh.”
Kuroo visibly wilts as Bokuto laughs heartily by his side, a look of betrayal on the Nekoma captain’s features as you laugh at the sight of it, accusation seeping into his tone.
“Don’t look at me so dejectedly!”
“Don’t give me a reason to be so dejected.” You quip, eyes widening when you see the blue-eyed boy from earlier standing behind the two, recovering to clear your throat and reach for the lemonade.
“Oh! I’ve got you, allow me~”
“Bro, you’re such a gentleman.” Kuroo sniffs as you sweatdrop, watching Bokuto uncap the bottle of rice punch and pour it into your cup until it reaches the brim. Before you could say that wasn’t the beverage you wanted: you blink at the look of hope and pride in the Fukurodani captain’s eyes at how proud he was of his actions.
“Drink up, Y/N-chan! The drinks are on me, tonight!”
“Boo, just say you’re flirting and go.”
“What did you just say?!”
Your voice falls on now deaf ears as you watch the two captains argue, feeling a little bad that Bokuto had bought the drinks and even poured one for you, deeming that maybe one cup was okay. You examine the liquid before going to raise the cup to your lips-
A hand rests on your wrist lightly before the cup can leave the surface, and you watch in confusion as the setter from earlier shakes his head no. You hardly notice the captains still arguing as he swaps your cup for his, the red-cup brimmed with a golden liquid swishing around in front of you as it hits the counter with a tap.
“Apple juice.” Akaashi says, bringing the rim to his lips and drinking some of the rice punch as Bokuto asks him a question. He isn’t able to hide his grimace as you blink in wonderment.
“Akaashi, I’m a gentleman, right? Being gentlemanly doesn’t have to mean flirting!”
“Mhm.” Akaashi nods, drinking more of the liquid back until it’s gone, wiping his lips with the back of his hand before grimacing some more, successfully disposing of the evidence.
“Ah! We’re going to karaoke upstairs, Y/N- you’ll come, right?!” Bokuto questions with stars in his eyes as you blink out of your daze, finding yourself nodding back before Bokuto whoops and grabs Kuroo before dashing up the stairs, yelling something about Akaashi to follow.
“Oh yeah. I’ll be there for sure.” Akaashi calls after bluntly as you laugh, taking your first sip of the cup as you take a seat on the counter, feeling a warmth in your chest at the setter’s previous actions.
“Is he usually that hard to say no to?”
“You have no idea.” Akaashi sighs as takes the seat next to you on the countertop, unscrewing the lid for the lemonade before pouring some into another cup.
“Swap with me one more time. This is the one you wanted, right?”
“No no! It’s okay-!”
“Give me that.” Akaashi rolls his eyes, taking the apple juice from you and replacing it with lemonade. “You saw me pour it. I’m not a creep who goes around swapping girl’s drinks.”
“But I trust you-”
“Your potential future husband, right?” Akaashi can’t help but smirk a little into his cup as you seem to bust a fuse, cheeks reddening immensely as you nervously chuckle, tracing the rim of your cup.
“So you heard that, huh?”
“It wasn’t exactly quiet.” Akaashi shrugs, sipping on his apple juice as you scoff in mock-disbelief, smiling nonetheless.
“Well, maybe I wouldn’t have made such a comment if you weren’t looking at me in the first place, hm?”
Akaashi’s brow quirks ever so slightly at your bold-statement, feeling the rice punch begin to take effect as he tilts his head attractively, amused smile growing on his lips.
“Is that right?” His voice drops a little, and you find your throat a little drier than usual before you break eye-contact, feeling a strange nervousness in your chest as you sip some more lemonade.
“So you don’t drink?” You change the topic quickly, cursing at how high-pitched your voice came out before Akaashi hums, nodding.
“Not until tonight, at least.”
“Well, you could have just waited and poured it down the sink when they left?”
“Yeah, but then I couldn’t look cool for the girl with the pretty laugh.” Akaashi replies evenly, not realizing the weight of his words until a mere moment after, your cheeks flushing as you look away, him doing the same.
“Sorry, sorry...that was weird. I think that punch is getting to me.”
“No, it’s uh...fine.” You say awkwardly, shifting a little closer to him before you can stop yourself. “I think you’re pretty too.”
You clap a hand over your mouth as Akaashi tilts his head in amusement, watching in an entertained-fashion as you cover your face with your hands.
“Thank you?”
“I haven’t even drunk anything, I don’t have an excuse.”
Akaashi hides his smile with his hand, a pink dusting his cheeks as he finds that maybe Bokuto dragging him to this party was worth it.
“Would you maybe...?” Akaashi leans a little closer, lifting his hand to the back of his neck-
“Y/N, Nishinoya and Suga are vomiting by the cars- oh shit, am I interrupting?” Tsukishima’s eyes widen, seeing the proximity between the two of you before you offer Akaashi a goodbye smile, feeling like that was the best course of action after making a fool of yourself.
“I’ll see you later. Thanks for the chat.”
“Wait-”
Akaashi watches as you embarrasedly rush off, hand grabbing Tsukishima’s in the process as the setter blinks in bewilderment, feeling dissapointment flooding his chest at your lack of presence. The blonde had looked at Akaashi in utter confusion as Tsukishima was dragged out by your hand.
Sighing, he downs the last of his apple juice dejectedly, the sweet liquid not making up for the bitter feeling in his stomach of not getting his question out to you.
He didn’t know if it was irritation from the alcohol, or the desire of wanting to see you again, but he bit the rim of his cup, blue-eyes slightly annoyed as he thinks about you grabbing Tsukishima’s hand.
What was he to you?
Akaashi blinks out of his daze.
Wait.
...why does he care?
The setter blinks out of his thoughts when you return, the plastic cup lowering in his grasp as you bite your lip bashfully, looking off to the side awkwardly. A smile unknowingly tugs at his lips, a weird sensation of relief flooding his system.
“Turns out it was a false alarm...I was just going to grab another drink and leave you-”
“No. Stay.” Akaashi’s words come out a little quicker than he intended as you blink in bewilderment before he clears his throat, hand going to grab one of the bottles.
“Lemonade?”
“Nah.” You grin, grabbing a new cup before tilting it in his direction as you take your seat again, your thigh touching his as you wish you liked the taste of liquid courage. Your fingers draw circles on the granite of the counter top as methods of successfully getting your number flit through Akaashi’s head, the setter finding himself intentionally grabbing your hand to hold it steady around the cup as he pours.
The tension stayed heavy as the music faded into the background, the setter’s hand still clasped around yours gripping your cup. You smile goofily, Akaashi wanting nothing more than to close the distance with the pretty stranger at the once undesired party.
“Apple juice.”
“Wise choice.”

a rocco route
so much love for rocco on my dash got me thinking... what a rocco route would look like if he stayed in the villa on day 8.
everything up to that point could stay the same. his mistakes, the things he and mc say to each other, all of it. perhaps a tweet that would make him think twice though, like:
"______ made a huge mistake. he should've kept in his pants because the girl he dismissed is amazing. he doesn't know what he's missing out."
or something a little more impactful.
rocco anc mc have a dreaded conversation that somehow was provided by bobby, because he would probably tell marisol that no matter how much she likes him, mc deserves an apology.
they occupy a daybed and have a dreaded conversation where rocco might be incredibly lost for words. he makes a comparison to a similar situation he went through before to going to the villa, and there's probably a fun anecdote where he made a huge discovery about himself.
mc can just forgive him, or she can give him a hard time. if he's supposed to stay and be an li, then he'll realize that just because he had feelings for marisol it didn't mean the ones he had for mc were gone.
he's now feeling guilty about the betrayal and tries to find a way of fixing things, but it might be too late. he could be out here making food, mocktails, offering a massage, acting all distracted to pay attention to anyone else that isn't mc.
at the recoupling, mc has the power to pick him. when she does, he shoots an apologetic look at marisol, and that would make her have resentment towards mc.
they have the opportunity to go to the hideaway, and if that happens, rocco might lose his mind over her, because i believe he associates intimacy with love. he's very confused at this point, but the choice of bedding him is yours.
the next day, operation nope happens, which leads me to believe he would be hearing about it sooner than the others. because bobby will ask marisol and she might comment about it with rocco.
he's now worried, that mc would get revenge, and stay put, quietly watching and hoping she won't. if she does, he's disheartened, but doesn't say anything besides "i made a mistake, you made this solely to hurt me, even after what happened between us last night."
he might go to marisol's arms if mc participates actively in the operation. if she doesn't then he's fucked, because now he's sure those feelings are growing stronger every day.
in the meantime, he might've talked it out with gary and apologized for going behind his back, even though he doesn't know it's possible gary had a couple of kisses with mc while they were coupled up.
when chelsea arrives, that's what concerns me, because i really think he would be charmed and that's just another moment that would make mc doubt his loyalty. enough to say something to him.
"no, i made that mistake once. you should know how i feel before thinking i would trade you for someone new."
"rocco... you traded me for someone who was here... i don't know if i can trust you."
"i understand. but i want you to know, i have been rethinking my decisions and the more i do, the more i know for sure you're the girl i want to share this journey with."
things get heated with the tension of operation, and after the disaster recoupling, i would make gary or bobby choose mc, leaving rocco distressed and upset. he could say something to gary like "i thought we had put the past behind us." or if bobby, "that was the snakiest thing you could've done mate, and that's coming from me!"
it depends on who has a higher 'heart score' with mc, and this is the order i would put them in:
jakub = hope
noah = priya
ibrahim = lottie
gary/bobby = chelsea
gary/bobby = mc
rocco = marisol
he's forced to choose marisol, which increases the angst because now he's gonna share the bed with the girl he liked just a few days ago, and who's eager to be with him again.
before anything else happens, casa amor days come, and i would make rocco have the almost fight with the boy that stole mc, and that boy is the one bringing blake back.
mc would have a discussion with them on the roof terrace, and say "i thought you were my friend, and i expected this from rocco, but a betrayal like this coming from you? i don't know if i can forgive you."
at the bean bags the other boys, noah, ibrahim and rocco, are talking and you have the same dialogue. he asks mc for a moment alone and says the same thing the others say on the paid scene. "i missed you, that's all."
during this playthrough i would love to insert some moments where rocco and marisol share the coping of the pool, or the kitchen space while talking, to get that angst high.
the stick or switch brought blake, but the next recoupling is for mc to save someone, and the ones endangered depend on whether mc brings someone or not. if she did:
chelsea stays coupled up with bobby/gary (her partner that stayed loyal)
lottie saves noah
bobby/gary (who stole mc) saves hope
and everyone else goes home, which would be unfair to rocco.
if he left here, i would make him give a really hurt speech. "i thought i could have a second chance, but i understand why you wouldn't be able to trust me again." he sniffs while putting his things in the bag. "i caused this, and i'm really sorry for hurting you. if anything, i brought this on myself."
but if mc stayed loyal, then these islanders are single:
mc // chelsea's partner (bobby/gary) // rocco // lottie
lottie saves noah
mc saves either jakub/elijah or the boy that stole her
chelsea's partner saves hope
rocco saves chelsea (and cmm would make sense, but i digress)
this would be a turning point to make chelsea tell you about her crush, but she doesn't, and tries to shake it off, not saying anything, like she does in the game.
elisa and jo come in, and i think it would be delightful to see how into jo's stories rocco is. same as mc's partner at this point.
once the next recoupling comes, i think it would be feral (but also amazing) to make marisol talk to mc about rocco, because she thinks she has a chance with him. when asked about graham, she responds "graham is nice and all, but i really think i have a shot with rocco."
to which mc would reply "i want him. it's his decision who he wants to be with. we've been through a lot, but i reckon if he likes you, i don't see why i should stay in the way. but marisol, asking me this, after everything that happened, is really selfish. you have someone that likes you, and i should have a chance to be happy."
rocco picks mc, saying "i'm so relieved because i thought you and bobby/gary were getting along... i didn't wanna lose the chance to be with you. already did that once and i'm not gonna repeat my mistakes."
returning!hannah and lurik come, lurik is all over mc, hannah is all over rocco, saying how much she wished she had a shot back then, and that they always shared so much about their vision of what love is.
another angsty moment except rocco is not giving her the time of day, but that's not clear enough for mc to see. he knows if he fucks up, mc is gonna run towards anyone that would take her, which is a lot of people.
after couple trouble, he says 'i love you', and completes with
"i knew it a while ago, i just didn't say anything because i didn't want to scare you, or to put that pressure on you. i know how intense it can be when someone says 'i love you' too soon, and well..." he laughs. "i wanted to do it right."
i would like to see rocco being eager to participate on the 'baby challenge', because i really believe he loves children and would be comparing notes with noah. plus, i know rocco stans would have their uteruses skipping several beats with the edit of him holding the doll in that... thing that carries the doll on their chest lol
i think from here on it's pretty standard. the last date might contain a very sweet speech, but for a rocco stan it would mean the world, because after the mistakes he made, i think this redemption would be great.
everyone in there made mistakes, and the fact that i don't like him doesn't influence on the fact that he was an interesting character. he just had a really short term in there, but if he had stayed, i think his route would be the most flavorful, given marisol would be trying to be with him, and she's charming as fuck!
anyway, hope you rocco stans like this. a post i saw today got me thinking about it and i needed to put it somewhere.

The Alpha and The Omega Part 2
Alpha Maul x Omega Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: Darth Maul becomes Maul and has to figure out how to both survive and thrive in the galaxy on his own. It’s more difficult than he thought it would be, especially after being thrown into a mix of bounty hunters with a unique gene that he also shares that are more than willing to allow him into their pack. Can he learn to trust those around him after a life time of near solitude?
Word Count: 4.9k
WARNINGS: Mentions of death and injuries, hints to slavery. A/B/O dynamics. Maul’s injury is not the canon one
PREVIOUS         NEXT          MASTERLIST
  No.
This wasn’t how it was supposed to end.
    Maul was falling, plunging into the depths of a reactor shaft on Naboo. He had killed a Jedi Master; finally, after all his years of training and harsh lessons, he had succeeded in this long-awaited trial. He didn’t plan for the Master’s padawan to be so strong and so quick. Right when he had started to celebrate his victory by taunting his opponent who had hung from the very shaft he was falling into, he was caught off guard. The padawan had leapt up, used his fallen Master’s saber and plunged it straight through his chest before kicking him down into the abyss.
    Maul could still feel the padawan’s rage billowing through the surrounding force, his pain and sadness and he took pleasure in it. The fact that he had cracked the padawan’s resolve was a consolation to his failure. He had failed his mission, he had failed himself, he had failed his Master; years wasted. His life, wasted. His eyes widened in a realization and harnessing his physical pain, Maul was able to take hold of an air vent, hoisting himself up and into the tight tunnels and calling the working half of his saber into his grip with a burst of fury through the force.
    Every time he had thought he was able to keep something from Sidious it was revealed that his master had planned his movements long before he made them. No, he had not failed his Master, he had followed his plan accordingly. Sidious wanted him to fall on Naboo; he wanted the Jedi to believe they had once again eradicated the threat of the Sith and take on a new apprentice. Newfound anger at his betrayal fueled him to climb through the ventilation until he finally reached the surface. The wound in his chest was not fatal, it had passed between both of his hearts but still ached and throbbed; the burning of the instant cauterization kept him from bleeding to death. He should have died from the impact of the fall.
    He had to leave, he couldn’t let the Jedi or his master know he had survived. Concealing his force signature like he had had to master years ago, he kept to the shadows. He feared the Jedi would recognize his ship; he knew his master would, so he almost regrettably left it behind. The citizens were still celebrating their false victory drunkenly in the streets so it was far too easy to steal a small ship and escape the planet since the blockade had been eradicated.
    He made his way to the furthest reaches of the outer rim on the boarder of wild space to evade his master’s detection. He spent a year bouncing between planets, nursing his injury and keeping up his original training by fighting fearsome beasts. When he had returned to his full strength, he dared inch slightly closer to civilization. He had returned to Tatooine in hopes of gathering some supplies despite his almost empty purse.
    He had fallen into bounty hunting by accident. He came across a small moisture farm and with the intent to rob it, had found himself face to face with an utterly terrified Twi’lek male. Maul was about to unsheathe his weapon but stopped when the man before him dropped to his knees.
“Please! Please don’t take me back to Jabba! I know he has a price on my head but I can’t go back there!” sobs cracked through his words and Maul grimaced in disgust at the man’s weakness. “I- I don’t have much but I’ll pay you what I can if you leave me alone and forget you ever saw me. Please.”
     Maul did no such thing. With the promise of credits, he ignited his blade and took the man’s head in one fell swoop. Carrying his head over his shoulder by one of the Twi’lek’s lekku along with the credits he had offered him for his freedom, he made his way to Jabba’s palace to collect a reward. Sure enough, he was promised a handsome sum for killing the thief and presenting his head to Lord Jabba.
    He sat at a small table in the corner of the cantina while he awaited his pay. He scanned the room, taking note of every patron and exit while the band played music he didn’t care for. His eyes met the visor of who he assumed was a bounty hunter under Jabba’s employ. The Mandalorian warrior strode over to him slowly after muttering something to one of the servant girls. The man pulled the only other chair out from Maul’s table and settled himself down in it, followed quickly by the girl carrying two amber bottles. She gave a dainty bow before she trotted away, leaving the two men in a heavy silence.
    Maul could smell him; he didn’t feel like a threat to him per say as he could tell the Mandalorian wasn’t a force user, but he did waft a heady scent that made the flesh on the back of Maul’s neck raise up. He bared his teeth to the man and growled before taking a swig of the bottle; never taking his eyes off of the stranger in front of him.
“Easy there Alpha. I’m not here to start trouble.” Maul pretended like he wasn’t confused by the title he had been assigned. Some bounty hunter lingo perhaps.
“I haven’t seen you around here or around the guilds before. How long have you been hunting?” the man never removed his helmet to drink his beer, rather placed a metal straw in the opening and sipped it from under his helm.
“Not long,” Maul wanted to give this man as little information as possible without rousing suspicion. He had interacted with bounty hunters before and was under the impression they didn’t ask questions, unlike the Mandalorian. Maul watched intently as the man reached into his utility belt and pulled out a card before sliding it across the table in his direction. He quirked his brow ridge at the man waiting for an explanation.
“We tend to take care of our own. Guild Master on this card has a set up on Corellia. She’s a mated Omega, she’ll help you get started up, might be able to pull a few strings and get you into the Guild,” he rapped his knuckles once on the table and stood as a Gamorrian Guard approached with Maul’s payment. He took the purse quickly and made his way to the exit but not before shooting the stranger one last glance.
“Good luck out there brother,” he rasped through his vocoder and giving a lazy two finger salute.
      Maul made his way back across the desert as night was starting to fall, a relief from the blistering heat. He had some strange exchanges in his life but none that had left him so confused. Why had the man called him Alpha and referred to him as a brother? What in the name of the force was a mated Omega? He had never heard of that species before despite his Master’s thorough tutelage. He sat in the cockpit of his ship holding the card in his crimson and tattooed fingers, lost in thought. He hadn’t considered what his life would turn into with his newfound freedom.
    He knew he wanted revenge and the notoriety he was promised, how he would achieve it on his own he had no clue. He considered how he might be able to gain influence in the underworld and high contacts should he become a renowned bounty hunter. He had the skillset for it. He needed the credits too. Sighing, he punched in the coordinates to Corellia, confident in the idea that his Master was convinced of his demise and made his way there.
    He never much liked Corellia, he had been here several times before. Despite the fact that it was easy to get lost in a crowd, it was also difficult to perceive incoming threats if he dropped his guard. He wandered through the streets, keeping to the alleyways when he could with the hood of his black cloak pulled over his head, obscuring others’ ability to see his face. He glanced down between the card in his hand and the neon signs above the various businesses. Trying to locate a cantina called The Den, supposedly in Coronet owned by a Theelin named Zeni.
    Sure enough, after rounding a dozen corners he finally found a hole in the wall with a little sign that read The Den, in red lights. Two characters he didn’t recognize from any languages he was familiar with, unlit, one painted on either side of the basic neon lettering. He pushed open the heavy door and was pleasantly surprised to find it larger than it looked on the inside. The room was dark, lit by low glowing lights. Cigar smoke wafted lazily through the air but not so much that it made you choke. Various tapestries and flags decorated the walls along with photographs of people he wouldn’t have been able to recognize if he had cared to try.
Only a few patrons sat scattered around the cantina, their attention on data-pads and bounty pucks. He spotted a dark blue haired, purple skinned Theelin behind the bar chatting flirtatiously with a large Chiss male.
    A scent, different but akin to the one the Mandalorian had permeated the room, swirling with a strong flowery one. The odd pair’s eyes snapped up to him the moment the door closed behind the Zabrak. He took a bar stool a few seats down from the Chiss and stared straight ahead, feeling the man’s eyes narrow in his direction. The Theelin woman he assumed was Zeni strode over to him after patting the Chiss’s arm affectionately.
“Don’t mind him, you know how Alphas get when unmated ones come around their Omega,” she was absentmindedly wiping down the dark bar with a damp rag before setting a glass down, “what can I get for you?”
Maul reached into the pocket of his robes and pulled out her card and set it down on the counter.
“I was told you were the one to come to if I wanted to join the guild.”
“You got a sponsor? Proof of successful hunts?” she quirked a brow at him as the man he assumed was her mate kept a close eye on him. Maul was confused.
“I wasn’t aware you needed a sponsor to join the Guild.”
“Not the collective no, but if you wanna join this house you’ll need someone to vouch that you’re not an over aggressive Alpha or too submissive Omega,” the Chiss answered before Zeni could. Leaning across the empty space he extended a hand, “Call me Coth, Zeni’s Alpha.” Maul hesitantly took the man’s hand and gave a firm, curt shake, “Maul.”
“You’re unmated,” Coth stated, it wasn’t a question. Maul at least understood what that meant.
“I do not have a mate no. Is that important?”
“No,” Zeni cut in, “we’ve quite a few lone Alphas in our ranks, few unmated Omegas too, as long as you don’t give the girls too much trouble, we won’t have a problem.”
Maul was getting frustrated with the terms he didn’t understand, “What are these Alphas and Omegas? I’ve only heard of them over the last few days from another bounty hunter. Is this some kind of title?”
The mated pair exchanged a bewildered look, “You don’t know?” Coth asked. Maul simply stared at them while Zeni sighed heavily and reached behind her, pouring a massive amount of liquor into the empty glass she had placed in front of Maul. Coth had scooted over to sit next to him.
“He wouldn’t be the first,” he started, “do you remember when ‘Meg first came around with Bane? She didn’t know hardly anything. Terrified of every Alpha she smelled, poor thing.”
“Of course I remember, I wouldn’t let her catch you referring to her as a ‘poor thing’. She’s probably our best Omega, she does work for the collective too now, not just our house. Still don’t know where she came from. I think Bane knows but you know how he is. Moves around a lot that girl, just like he does.” Coth nodded at Zeni’s words before turning his attention back to Maul who was only half listening at this point as he nursed his liquor.
“Long story short, it’s a gene. It’s why you can smell me and my honey there. You’ve got the Alpha which makes you stronger, faster and a bit smarter than the rest of your species.”
Maul mulled over Coth’s words. From what he had learned, most of his kind from Dathomir had some kind of connection to the force, perhaps this added gene was why he was chosen to be Sidious’s apprentice.
“And what of the Omega?” he turned to Zeni and she grinned. “Same deal for the most part but we always fall in line behind our mighty Alphas,” she leaned over the bar pinched her lover’s cheek and gave him a playful growl before turning her attention back to the Zabrak.
“Listen I’ll cut you some slack, if you got this card, it means someone in our house gave it to you so you caught someone’s eye. Who gave it to you anyway?”
“I never got a name, he was a Mandalorian at Jabba’s palace.” Coth’s eyes gleamed, “Interesting, he’s never recruited anyone before.” Coth stared off into the corner of the bar while Zani spoke up again.
“Like I said I’ll cut you a break Maul, I can’t just grant you instant access to the guild’s bounty list; especially without a sponsor but if you can consistently turn in public bounties through us for six months and prove to be reliable, I’ll grant you membership and you can start taking some pucks,” she looked to her mate for a final approval. He gave her a curt nod and she refilled Maul’s drink with a pleased smile, “what do you say?”
Maul shot back the last of the liquor and stood, “prove my worth, join the ranks. Sounds reasonable..”
Coth also stood and retrieved a data-pad with a list of public bounties, “good, here. Take your pick, bring em back to us and you’ll get the reward through our broker.”
      Over the next two months Maul proved to be an almost mechanically reliable hunter. He only ever took bounties that were listed with the option to bring them in dead, made his job easier. He found that it wasn’t as lucrative as he had hoped but he was only taking public bounties at the moment. They tended to be cheap but there were a lot at his disposal. The jobs were too easy for him, he was a born hunter and a trained killer yet he was hunting down mostly thieves who stole from the wrong people. His strength through the force came to every advantage, he enjoyed toying with his victims; making them run, giving them a false hope that they would escape but they never could.
    To say he liked the other hunters at the Den would’ve been an overstatement but he didn’t necessarily dislike them either. Zeni was always friendly and welcoming when he came to drop off the bodies and collect his pay. Coth was as pleasant as an Alpha could be to another. He slowly started picking up social ques about the sub culture. Alphas were fiercely protective of their Omegas and although the Omegas were a force to be reckoned with all on their own; he realized how true Zeni’s earlier statement had been. They always fell in line behind their Alphas and their Alphas took great care of them. He still hadn’t met an Omega that wasn’t already mated and he wasn’t sure that he wanted to; the bond looked like an anchor, a distraction.
    After collecting a series of quarries, he returned once again to Corellia to collect. When he entered the familiar cantina, a new scent almost knocked him out with its intensity. It was soft and earthy, lightly floral but incredibly strong. Noticing that Zeni was preoccupied talking to a woman at the bar with Coth by her side he took a seat in one of the empty booths and started looking through the newly available bounties from the public database trying to push through the fog that clouded his mind. He could just barely sense an individual in his proximity that had a strong connection to the force and it made him bristle.
 ~~~~~
      Your pupils blew out the moment the scent hit your nose. You had been around your fair share of unmated Alphas by now but you had never been so affected before. You turned away from Zeni to scan the bar and your eyes fell on someone you had never seen in the cantina before. A crimson Zabrak’s eyes bored into yours for only a moment before he turned back to whatever it was he was doing. Zeni had to wave her lilac hand in front of your face to bring your attention back to her while Coth chuckled, obviously aware of how you were affected.
“Who the fuck is that?” you asked nodding your head in his direction. Coth quieted down long enough to answer you.
“Name’s Maul. New to the game, Fett gave him the card but he doesn’t have a sponsor.”
“Never heard of Fett handing out your card,” you quirked your brow over to Zeni.
“As far as I know he never has. Maul must’ve had some crazy strong pheromones going off to catch that Alphas attention,” she chirped, “since it was Fett who extended the invitation and he’s obviously an Alpha I told him he can take public bounties and cash em in here for a while ‘till he proves to be a good addition to our pack.”
    You nodded pensively before downing your drink. His scent was heady, a strong woody and musty, lightly smoky smell that heated your muscles under your skin. You had finished your heat recently so you were confident that the only pheromones you were releasing were your normal Omega ones. Still, you felt his eyes on you and you could feel the dark side of the force surrounding him. Interesting.
“How’s he doing? Why doesn’t he have a sponsor?” you tried to ask nonchalantly while you looked through the pucks Coth had set out for you to take your pick from.
“He won’t ask for sponsorship and no one’s offered. He’s doing great considering he didn’t have a clue he was an Alpha when he first wondered in here.”
“He didn’t?” the mirrored déjà vu was not lost on you.
“Nope, but he’s taken care of the most dangerous thieves that have been posted publicly, finds em quick too,” Coth praised, “plus he’s left the mated Omegas alone, hasn’t challenged any of the other Alphas either. Keeps to himself, still doesn’t have a mate as far as I can tell,” he gave you a not-so-subtle wink and jab with his elbow.
You glared at him from under the rim of your hat. “So he needs a sponsor..” you turned your attention back to Zeni picking up three of the pucks and sliding the rest back to Coth.
“I’m way ahead of you ‘Meg,” she set two glasses with a few ice cubes in front of you and a full bottle of whisky; the spicy kind you liked, and turned her love sick gaze back to the Chiss she called her mate. You took the glasses and the bottle and turned to walk towards the strange Alpha.
    You watched a scantily dressed Twi’lek slide into the worn booth next to him and try to mutter something into his ear, you smirked when he made an effort to scoot away from her but this woman was persistent. She had no scent, she wasn’t an Omega, she had no business trying to woo an Alpha. Fucking Betas, you thought. They made up the majority of the population and couldn’t tell the difference between Alphas, Omegas and their kind. She didn’t notice you while you set the glasses down softly on the table; bottle still in hand. When you cleared your throat, she looked up at you with an annoyed huff. You swept your coat to the side, showing the blaster strapped to your thigh, “beat it bitch,” your voice was sultry and smooth but carried an authority only a respected Omega could.
    You watched her scurry away looking frightened and ignored the snorts of amusement coming from the bar. Every patron in the Den knew you and your reputation. You had no problem challenging anyone who stood in your way. Whether that came from the skills you had learned as a Jedi or an attitude you picked up from Bane; you didn’t know and didn’t care. It worked.
    The Alpha said nothing as you glided into the black booth opposite him and slid one of the empty glasses over to him; passing him the bottle once you had poured yourself a generous serving. You allowed yourself to enjoy the spicy malt liquor and watched as he also poured the amber liquid over the ice cubes in his glass. His scent was over powering, it turned your insides into butterflies; something the other Alphas had never done. The pheromones he released told you he was vaguely interested in your presence, welcoming it, almost. But his force signature told you he was wary, waiting to see why you had approached him in the first place.
    For a few minutes the two of you sat in silence, eyes locked on one another while you basked in the other’s aroma and sipped your drinks until you broke the silence.
“So, you’re the new Alpha in town,” you cocked your brow at him.
“That’s what I’ve been told, yes,” he poured himself a second drink and you hummed.
“I hear you’ve been taking up the public listings and doing fairly well for yourself,” you leaned back and stretched your free arm over the back of the booth.
“Is this going somewhere or did you just want to buy me a drink?” the corner of his mouth quirked up and his golden eyes narrowed slightly as he also leaned back, spreading his legs to a more comfortable and dominant position.
You nodded your head, respecting the fact that he valued his time. Still, you made him wait till you finished your drink and sighed. “I also hear you might be in need of a sponsorship.”
“As you said, I’m doing quite well for myself. Not so sure I need one.”
You poured yourself another glass and hummed again, leaning forward towards him and resting on your elbows with your drink clasped between your hands. “That maybe the case but without one it’ll be a while before your granted membership. Even then, new initiates only get last picks.”
“Are you offering me something?” he leaned forward slightly, searching your face for your intentions before you could speak them.
“As a matter of fact, I am. The hunter who sponsored me was high ranking so when I got in; I got better pickings by affiliation. I’m giving you the same chance I had by offering you, my sponsorship.”
“What exactly would I have to do?” he growled. Obviously not keen on the idea of owing anyone anything.
“Nothing you’re not already doing,” you placed the three pucks you had gotten from Zeni on the table and pulled a fourth out of your pocket you had gotten from a private hire. “Come with me and help me take care of these four, come back and collect fifty percent after fuel costs. Simple. After that you’ll have full membership and higher paying bounties to choose from. Few weeks instead of a few months, thousands instead of hundreds.”
    You leaned back and gave him time to look over the information each puck carried. Even if he decided to try to run off with the info and catch them on his own, no guild master would cash him out without a membership. You barely caught the slight widening of his eyes when he saw the cash reward. You felt his need through the force and smelled it from him. You knew he would accept your offer but you allowed him to drag out his answer for a few minutes while he mulled it over.
“Alright,” his voice was velvety, “I’ll play along. When do we leave?”
“Is your ship somewhere you can leave it unattended? We’re taking mine.”
“Yes, it is.”
“Good, meet me at the refueling station by night fall, docking bay number 7. I have to resupply. Bring whatever you’ll need for a few weeks,” you stood and collected your pucks, tucking them safely into the bag that hung from your shoulder, “don’t keep me waiting Alpha,” you cooed before sauntering out of the cantina.
    Maul poured himself a third drink from the bottle you left, he had more than enough time and was hoping to drown out the strange thickness your scent left on his tongue. The seat you left open was quickly filled by none other than Coth. He was grinning dumbly, wide and toothy; his red eyes gleaming.
“Did she offer you a sponsorship?”
“Yes, we’re leaving tonight,” he didn’t quite understand why he felt so comfortable talking to Coth. Perhaps it was because of the pack mentality this house seemed to have, maybe it was something to do with the unique gene they all shared. It could just be because he spent his whole life alone besides his master and although he would never admit it, he marginally preferred occasional company. He wasn’t a threat to this Alpha’s mate and thus Coth wasn’t a threat to him; so, he pressed on, “why is her scent so much… stronger than the other Omegas?”
“Who ‘Meg? She’s unmated. Hasn’t even been scented by another Alpha. Not that no one’s tried. Usually, Omegas are mated shortly after their first heat but she’s been around for three years or so now and she’s a force to be dealt with. Probably the least submissive Omega I’ve ever met. Cad Bane sponsored her and even he respects her.”
“Why did she turn down the others’ advances? I thought Omegas were supposed to be pliant.”
“They are with their Alpha. She’s especially headstrong though. I overheard her chatting with Zeni one time when she actually got pretty smashed, going on about how it would be an honor to submit to an Alpha but it had to be one worthy of submission.”
    Maul nodded and was pleasantly surprised with what he was told. He of all people could understand being willing to fall in line but it had to be to a greater power than the one possessed by the follower, not just anyone. He finished his drink and thanked Coth for the information and gave Zeni an uncharacteristic wave before he left the cantina; much to her delight.
    He made his way back to his ship and gathered a few pairs of extra clothes and the rest of his ration bars in his pack before paying the caretaker of the of the ship yard enough credits to dock his ship there for six weeks. He hoped that would be long enough, Corellia wasn’t exactly cheap to store your ship on for long periods of time. It would be worth it if he really could come back to better prospects. He never sensed that you had lied to him, neither through the force or through your scent. He took his time and bought a few meat kabobs from a vendor on the street before heading to the location you had given him.
    Sure enough, when he arrived at dock 7, he saw you chatting with a Quarren while one of his employees loaded a few crates into your cargo bay. He took a moment to admire you, your scent wasn’t nearly so intoxicating at this distance. He silently appreciated the way the glow from the setting sun lit up behind your silhouette and cast a slight shadow over your face under the brim of your hat but your eyes never lost their glow. How your posture was relaxed and friendly yet carried an air that demanded respect from those around you. You had smiled brightly at something the supplier said and let out a melodious laugh that rang through the cooling dusk. He felt a pang of jealousy that almost startled him. He had no reason to be possessive of you. Still, when you turned to him, a smile still across your lips and motioned him over to you he held a sense of pride with being beckoned to your side. He was utterly fucked, wasn’t he?
 As the two of you walked up the ramp and closed the hatch behind you, you turned to face him.
“You ready for some big game Alpha?” he nodded.
“Maul, my name is Maul.”
“Alright Maul, if that’s what you prefer. Call me ‘Meg.”
Yes, he was indeed fucked.
Jasonette - A Second Chance Pt. 1
Next
This one-shot contains major character death as well as blood and violence. BTW, to clear up their ages at the beginning of the story.
Alfred: IMMORTAL, MY CHILDREN
Bruce: 44
Dick: 29
Jason: 24
Marinette: 23
Tim: 21
Damian: 14
(Marinette’s POV)
Ladybug had failed all of Paris. She had gone into today’s battle, thinking that she and her partner Chat Noir would work together to defeat Hawkmoth. But, right when she had asked Chat Noir to take Hawkmoth’s miraculous, he froze. He then did the worst thing she could imagine he laughed. Chat then walked up to Hawkmoth while Hawkomth chuckled, “Little Bug, even your partner doesn’t support you anymore. Just give up.”
Ladybug froze, her mind racing. Her partner had betrayed her. He had decided that the cause they had been fighting for the last decade was no longer worth the fight. (I was going to make you’ll do the math, but then I saw I already told you Marinette’s age above, lmao.) She screamed in frustration and then shouted, “ Never!”
Ladybug or Marinette was a great fighter, especially after having been in the superhero gig for so long. But, Chat Noir was also pretty good, and he was allied with both Mayura and Hawkmoth. It was safe to say that the odds weren’t looking well for Marinette. She was growing tired, and Tikki didn’t have much energy left within her.
That’s when it happened, Marinette made a mistake. The next thing she knew, Hawkmoth had her pinned to the ground and had pulled off her miraculous, consequently revealing her identity. Hawkmoth handed over her miraculous to Chat Noir, who put it on. Chat, then turned into a deep purple, and a voice asked him, “What do you wish for, oh young one?”
Chat replied, “I wish for the rebirth of my mom, Emilie Agreste.” Marinette’s heart stopped. Her ex-partner was Adrien Agreste. And if he’s assisting Hawkmoth, that must mean that Hawkmoth is Gabriel Agreste, her idol. Then Natalie Sancoeur must be Mayura. Marinette came to those conclusions in a matter of seconds. But, after a minute, she started feeling sluggish.  She felt her heartbeat slow down. She was so tired. She just wanted to sleep forever. She didn’t feel so good at this point. Through her blurry vision, she saw a woman that looked like Adrien’s Mother appear. As Emilie returned to full consciousness, that’s when Marinette started losing consciousness. The last thing that she heard in a whisper was, “ A life for a life, that was the price.” Before she closed her eyes,  succumbing her body and mind to the darkness that lay ahead.
(Talia POV)
Talia Al-Ghul was expecting a lot of things today. What she was not expecting was to find Paris in a mid-battle, for one of the heroes partners to betray them, the villains winning, and then said hero dying. She looked at the body of the girl that everyone was staring at and thought she didn’t deserve to die like this, plus she might be useful to the league. Talia pulled up her mask to cover her face and then blended in with the shadows. No one actually so her until she grabbed the girl and disappeared. Her actions prompted a lot of commotion back at the battle location.
Talia boarded her plane, carrying the body in her arms. She was slightly worried about the potential effects the Lazarus pit could have on her. She had experienced the worse side-effects, courtesy of one Jason Peter Todd-Wayne. Talia could still remember his screams as he clawed his way out of the Lazarus Pit and started to attack all the assassins with the intent to kill anyone and everyone. They had barely managed to restrain him. She hoped that this girl would not receive similar side-effects. But, based on the amount of trauma and betrayal she held within her like Jason, it would be inevitable.
Once Talia arrived at the league with the dead girl, she walked out of the plane got some bandages. Talia then took the girl, or rather Marinette. She found out from a face scan that pulled up all her legal documents as well as her background information, to her father, Ra’s. Once she arrived before her father, she bowed her head in respect for him.
“Ahhh, daughter, you’ve returned. And who is this you’ve acquired.”
Talia answered, “Her name is Marinette Dupain-Cheng, twenty-three-years-old, and an excellent fighter. She lived in Paris, France, and was the main hero. Today was the final battle, and her partner ended up betraying her, getting her killed in the process.” She then handed over all of Marinette’s legal documentation as well as her background info to her father.
Ra’s looked through it and then asked, “How would she be a useful asset to the league?”
Talia responded, “After what happened with Marinette, she would have a thirst for revenge on the people that wronged her. I’m enunciating that we can use that to our advantage. The only problem is that Marinette carries around a lot of trauma, betrayal, and loneliness like Jason Todd. I’m concerned that she might have the same reaction for dipping in the pit.”
Ra’s nodded, considering the idea and agreeing that a person with the thirst for revenge would be a useful addition to the league.
Talia watched Ra’s, hoping to get an idea of what he was thinking. He then beckoned for her to follow him. He leads her to the Lazarus Pit, and Talia now knew that Ra’s supported her decision. She put Marinette down and wrapped her in bandages before dipping her in the pit. What happens next is alarming.
Marinette has the same reaction as Jason. This time though, everyone was ready. Talia quickly took hold of her and started whispering how she got to her destination and how she came back to life. Unlike Jason, though, Marinette doesn’t have as much of a temper, which helps Talia efficiently calm her down faster. Talia then tells Marinette, “Would you like to be an Assasin and fix those who have wronged you?”
Talia wasn’t asking. They would force Marinette if she refused, but they wanted to be her ally rather than as her foe. But what would she choose?
(Marinette’s POV)
A burning sensation was all Marinette felt. But she was supposed to be dead. So, what was she doing alive she got out of the green ooze that she was inside. Marinette frantically looked around while clawing the bandages on her to get rid of the burning sensation. When it didn’t work, she tried to claw her way out of the goop to ease the burning until someone caught her around her middle. The same person took her out of the green goop and started whispering reassurance in her ear. Marinette relaxed until the women asked a question that would change everything, “Would you like to be an Assasin and fix those who have wronged you?”
The logical side of her brain argued that she shouldn’t yield herself to killing others, that it was wrong. The other side of Marinette’s brain felt hazy from dipping into the ooze. It was also hazy because of her grief, pain, betrayal, trauma, and loneliness argued that revenge was the only way to go. She slowly let the murky part of her brain take over until revenge felt like eating ice cream on a hot summer day, great. She nodded her head in agreement with the proposition. The woman smiled and then introduced herself as Talia Al-Ghul, the demon head’s daughter. She spent the rest of the day explaining everything about the league to Marinette. Talia also explained rules that applied specifically to her. By the end of the day, Marinette had an outfit that she would use on missions and during training. Talia then left Marinette to settle in. Marinette looked around the room and sighed, getting ready for experiencing this every day from now on.
(Four months time skip)
It had been four months since Marinette became a member of the league of assassins. And as expected, she was a valuable member of the order. Her need for revenge drove her to work harder on missions.
One morning, Talia awoke Marinette with some news. “You will be going to Gotham to check on my son, who should be 14 now. You will observe how he communicates with his family, and if there any problems arise, you will assist them. Report back to me every day, understand?”
Marinette nodded, “Yes, Mistress.” Talia nodded back and then left to get the plane ready. Marinette wore her usual assassin outfit.
Marinette then went outside and stood before Talia. Shed waited for Talia to give her to okay to board the plane. Once she did, they both got on and reviewed everything they knew about Damian and the Waynes. By the time they arrived in Gotham, Marinette had memorized the information of every single Wayne. She said goodbye to Talia and tracked down Damian, watching him from afar in the shadows.
(Time Skip of a Week)
It had been a week since Marinette started observing Damian. She had to say that he was growing soft. Although, it had been four years since Damian was under league supervision. Everything was going all right on the bat’s patrol until it wasn’t.
The bat family was fighting some thugs at the docks when a thug snuck behind Damian, or rather Robin, and shot him in the stomach. Damian fell to the ground in pain, but still alive. This action provoked Marinette to let out a deep, feral growl. She then grabbed some of her throwing stars and launched them at the thug, effectively killing him in the process. Her actions lead the bat clan to shift their attention to her. They quickly fought off the remaining thugs. They then walked up to a bleeding Damian and Marinette standing in front of him as if to guard him.
Batman then asked, “Who are you, and why are you here?”
Marinette answered, “My name is Dark Angel. I was sent by Mistress Talia to look after Damian for a little bit and see how he’s fitting in.”
Batman then stated, “You killed the man.”
Marinette shrugged, “It comes with the job description. I’m an assassin. You know, a murderer who targets people that would be better off dead?”
Batman sighed, “Nobody is better off dead.”
Marinette shrugged again, so done with this conversation, “Speak for yourself.”
(Jason’s POV, sorry for the abrupt change)
Jason stared at the woman in front of him, who must be his age. He recognized her behavior from somewhere. Jason suddenly realized where he had seen this behavior before he exhibited this demeanor after he came back to life. That meant that she had died, and Talia was using her want for revenge like the league used his.
Jason asked, no stated, “You died.”
Dark Angel stiffened, “Who wants to know?” Yup, her reaction confirmed his suspicions she had died and was then brought back by the Lazarus Pit. Most likely recently by how raw her emotions still were.
Jason walked up slowly to her and remarked, “You died and later brought back to the Lazarus Pit. You probably have a thirst for revenge. I can see a lot of you in me. I can help you.” He tried to be as gentle as possible, which was hard considering his character.
Dark Angel backed away while shaking her head, frantically", No, you know NOTHING ABOUT ME! YOU DON’T KNOW THE BETRAYAL, THE TRAUMA. YOU KNOW NOTHING!!!“ She then ran away, trying to get away from the Bat Clan.
Jason looked over at Bruce, or Batman, with determination clear, in his eyes, "I’m going to go find her.”
Batman nodded, “Take RR and Nightwing with you. I’m going to take Robin back to the Bat cave, where Agent A can patch him up. Once you find her, bring her to the cave so that we can talk with her.”
Jason then nodded and grappled in the direction that Dark Angel went, with Red Robin and Nightwing following in his wake. After running for a little bit, they caught sight of her blending in with the shadows. They decided to split up to cover more ground. Jason ran as fast as he could along the rooftops when he finally caught sight of Dark Angel. She looked to be crying. When she saw him, she jumped off the roof and opened a portal falling through. Jason jumped after her and barely went through in time. He then fell on top of something and groaned. Jason got up and looked around. He realized that he was standing on the Eiffel Tower, was he in Paris?
(Marinette’s POV)
After Jason or Red Hood confronted her and tried to compare herself to him, she ran. She started crying, the emotions too overwhelming to not cry. Marinette cried for a little bit. But, she then caught sight of Red Hood running up to her. She glared at him and asked Kaakki to open a portal. A week after she had managed to become an assassin, she had returned to her room and got the miracle box back in her possession. Talia had no idea, and Marinette had no desire to tell her.
She jumped through the portal, she landed on the Eiffel Tower, and took a deep breath. Behind her, she heard a loud thud and then a groan. She whipped around to find that the idiot Red Hood had followed her through the portal. She saw him get up and look around before a look of realization spread through his face. Marinette saw him look at her. She quickly ran away. She felt him running after her. But she had a mission, and she wasn’t going to stop until she accomplished it. Marinette’s mission the demise of everyone that ever hurt Marinette.
She ran to the Agreste Mansion and went through Adrien’s open window. She saw him sitting at his computer happily looking at something. That asshole, he killed her and was enjoying life himself. “Adrien,” she crooned sweetly, “How are you? Are you having a good time since you got your mother back by killing someone else?”
Adrien looked frightened, “How do you know that?”
She walked up to him, hips swaying. She then pulled out her dagger and slid her finger across the blade, “I know a lot of things about you. Like how you are a selfish, asshole.” She then pulled him closer to her and put the dagger to his neck. “You deserve to die, slowly and painfully, and I will happily help you.”
Before Adrian could scream for anyone, Marinette had already stabbed him in the stomach where his lungs were. She was going to do his heart or behead him, but that let him off too easy. The look of pure horror etched onto his face as he fell on the floor with blood all over him, and the floor had Marinette smirking. She grabbed the cat miraculous off of Adrien’s finger and the ladybug miraculous off of his ears. She knew that Red Hood was behind her, but she couldn’t care less.
Next, Marinette went looking for Gabriel and Natalie. It looked like Emilie was out right now. So, Marinette wouldn’t kill her. She also didn’t take part in killing her. She found Gabriel and Natalie in the house’s atelier. Once they saw her, they prepared to attack her. But she had already whipped out a gun and had shot both of them. She had tried to shoot them approximately below where their heart was. As Marinette got closer to examine them, she realized that she had damn good aim. The bullets had hit them directly in the area she was hoping. Close enough to kill them, but far enough to cause them pain. Their blood was gushing out of them, and Marinette could tell that they would die. She grabbed the butterfly miraculous and the peacock miraculous. She brought Adrien downstairs to lie next to his family. Marinette then went back into the shadows with Red Hood following her right as Emilie arrived.
Marinette watched as Emilie looked at her dead family and started sobbing. Emilie then took notice of the note next to them.
It read:
THEY TOOK A LIFE, AND NOW I DESERVE TO TAKE THEIR LIFE FROM THEM IN TURN. EMILIE, YOU ARE SPARED BECAUSE YOU TOOK NO PART IN ANYTHING.
~DARK ANGEL
Marinette watched Emilie drop down to her knees and continue wailing while crushing the note in her hand. Marinette watched closely, and she wondered if her parents did the same or if they replaced her like everyone else. She shook the thought off and then went to another house, the house of Liar Rossi.
Marinette her house, and went around it trying to find the liar. She found Lila in her room, practicing her crying. Marinette smirked to herself. She always knew that Lila had to practice crying with how many crocodile tears she let loose every day. She snuck up behind Lila and whispered, “I’ll give you a real reason to cry.”
Lila stopped her tears and turned around, scared out of her mind. “Who are you?”
Marinette snickered, “I’m Dark Angel, or more specifically, you’re worst nightmare.”
Lila started crying again, except this time, her tears weren’t as fake as her life. “PLEASE DON’T HURT ME, I’LL DO ANYTHING! I HAVE A LOT OF INFORMATION ABOUT THIS COUNTRY’S GOVERNMENT!”
Marinette took a knife out and ran it across Lila’s skin, causing a scream out of her, “Here’s the thing, Ms. Rossi. You are extremely selfish. You were willing to sell out your country just like that. Plus, I know you’re lying. It doesn’t take a genius to figure it out. So, here’s the deal, the more you lie, the more I torture you.”
Lila spent the next thirty minutes telling lies. When Marinette knew she would be confessing, she gave Lila’s phone to Red Hood so that he could film her confession. Lila then broke, “OKAY OKAY, I AM SO SORRY!!! I DON’T KNOW ANY OF THE CELEBRITIES I CLAIM I DO. I DON’T HAVE TINNITUS EITHER! MARINETTE DUPAIN-CHENG WASN’T BULLYING ME, I BULLIED HER. I THREATENED HER IN THE FIRST PLACE WHEN SHE FOUND OUT MY LIES AND THREATENED TO TAKE AWAY ALL HER FRIENDS. I SUCCEEDED. I WAS ALSO WORKING WITH HAWKMOTH AND HELPED MAKE ADRIEN WHO WAS CHAT NOIR BETRAY LADYBUG!!! NOW PLEASE DON’T KILL ME!!!”
Marinette sneered and said, “Don’t worry, I won’t kill you.” Lila looked at her in hope until she stabbed Lila in the stomach, saying, “Oops, I lied.”
As Lila died, Marinette went to Red Hood and took the phone from his editing the video before sending it to all of Lila’s contacts. When she sent it to Alya, she asked her to post the video on the Lady blog before watching it. She then looked over at Red Hood, who was looking at her in shock. “Don’t worry, pretty boy. I’m not assassinating anyone else. Just torturing them.”
She then went to each of her classmates’ houses and tortured them, depending on how loyal they were to Lila. The person who Marinette tortured the least was Juleka, and the person that she tortured the most was Alya. Once Marinette had finished torturing all of her ex-classmates, she looked over to Red Hood and said, “Okay, I’m ready to go now.”
Red Hood looked at her, confused, “If you were going to go with me either way, why did you run?”
She shrugged, “Your clan had found me out. I wanted people dead. Plus, I was emotional as hell after your whole speech. I also still need to check up on Damian.”
(3rd Person POV)
Red Hood nodded and beckoned for her to open a portal. Marinette did so, and they both dropped through, ending up in the Bat cave. Their sudden appearance surprised all of the current occupants of the cave. Marinette walked up to Damian and asked him, “Are you okay?”
Damian replied, “Tt, ” and then nodded in affirmation.
Before Marinette could say anything else, Batman told her, “I now want you to explain to us who you are, why you’re here. Got it!” He then gave her the Bat glare in case she wouldn’t listen to him.
Marinette nodded and then spoke, “Hi, my assassin name is Dark Angel. My birth name is Marinette Dupain-Cheng.” A flash of recognition flashed through everyone’s faces. Unbeknownst to Marinette, Hawkmoth had been broadcasting the final battle. Everyone had seen when Hawkmoth had revealed her identity and when she had died. “I was a superhero in Paris. My partner and I were in the final battle when I found out that he had betrayed me and Hawkmoth’s side and was playing me this whole time. The villains won, and they made a wish to revive a dead person. In return, someone else had to die. In this case, it was me. The next thing I know, my whole body feels like it’s burning, and I’m inside of a pit full of green goop. Mistress Talia promised me revenge for the people that had hurt me. I excepted her offer. Since then, I’ve been an assassin for four months now, training every single day for hours. Talia told me to watch your family for a little bit as a mission, which was what I was doing until Damian got shot. You know the rest.”
Red Robin looked at her skeptically, “Where did you and Red Hood go when we tried to find you.”
Marinette looked at Red Hood before carefully answering, “I had some business in Paris, so to speak.”
Nightwing then asked, “And what was this "business” and how the hell did you get to Paris?“
Marinette sighed, rubbing her forehead to ease the throbbing, "You’re not going to let this go, are you?” When she saw everyone shake their head, she answered, “Fine. I was able to get to Paris because I have a miraculous that can open portals.” She showed them the miraculous and then demonstrated it to them. “Once I got to Paris, I committed my revenge. I killed my old partner, Hawkmoth, and Mayura. I also killed a liar who took away everything from me and was also working with Hawkmoth. I also exposed the liar. Finally, I tortured all of my old friends. Yay, I told you everything. Can I go now?”
Everyone looked at her, horrified that she was talking so casually as if she hadn’t just admitted to murderer and torture. Before anyone could say anything, Red Hood shouted, “No!” While taking off his helmet.
Marinette looked at him in irritation, “No? And why fucking not?”
Jason looked over at her, “Because I’m not letting Talia use you anymore.”
Marinette sighed, knowing he was right. Now that she had gotten her revenge, her mind was a lot more clear, and she realized why Talia wanted her to be an assassin in the first place. “Fine, so I’m staying here?” Everyone nodded, still in a daze from everything they just learned.
Marinette shook her head, and Alfred (THE AMAZING GOD THAT HE IS) came into the Bat Cave when Marinette was going to ask someone to lead her upstairs. As Marinette walked upstairs, she hoped that things would work out for her.
(one month time skip)
Marinette had been staying with the Bat Fam or rather Waynes for a month now. She honest to kwami had no idea how they were still alive. The number of times they pulled a weapon on each other was frightening, to be honest. As she got to know each of them, they felt more like her brothers and father, except for one person, Jason damn Todd. She really liked him. He was so gentle with her, and at first, she didn’t understand why. But one day, Jason told her his backstory. To her surprise, it was similar to hers. Once she figured that out, they connected on a whole other level. In fact, they had both sworn that they would try not to kill again. And naturally, the one guy who will probably ever understand her, she had to have a crush on.
Another problem was Talia Al-Ghul. She still hadn’t come to find Marinette. So she was either planning something big. OR SHE WAS DEAD! What, a girl could dream. Marinette then heard a crash downstairs. She ran downstairs and what she saw had her reeling. Talia was in the middle of the living room, playing with her dagger. Once she saw Marinette, she smirked, “Marinette, you’re here. We can go back to the league now.”
Marinette shook her head, “I like living here, and I don’t want to leave.”
The smile that was on Talia’s face disappeared, “Even if you do like it here, you still have to get revenge on the people that wronged you.”
Marinette clicked her tongue, “That’s the thing, I already did revenge on them. I killed the main ones and tortured the rest.”
Talia yelled in defeat, “Well, if you won’t come back, then you’ll just die!” (I know I made Talia super sweet at the start of the story. But let’s face it. She’s a manipulator and a bitch) She then charged Marinette with her dagger in hand. But before she could reach Marinette, she was dead on the floor with multiple bullet holes going through her.
Marinette, with a gun in her hand, sank to her knees sobbing. The Wayne family, having heard the gunshots, hurried to the first floor. There they found a sobbing Marinette and a dead Talia. Jason hurried to Marinette and pulled her into his arms. “Hey, Pixie, what’s wrong?” Marinette shook her head, still sobbing. The rest of the family, seeing that Marinette wasn’t calming down, decided to give some words of support before taking Talia out of the room and cleaning the blood.
Jason picked up Marinette, who was clinging to his leather jacket and took her upstairs to his room. He whispered soothing words in her ear the whole way. Once they arrived, he put her down on the bed and cuddled her, “Marinette, Pixie, Baby, I need you to tell me what’s wrong so I can help you.”
Marinette’s sobbing started dying down. Eventually, it was only an occasional tear with some hiccups and sniffs. “I made a promise that I wouldn’t kill anymore. I broke that promise. Deep down, I really am a murderer.” She started sobbing again.
Jason sighed and crooned to her, “Oh, baby. Do you really think that? I used to murderer people all the time. Does that still make me a murderer? No! It doesn’t make you a murderer either.”
He then started kissing her cheek, her eyelids, her button-nose, her forehead, her head, her jaw. He trailed kisses down her neck while speaking, “I- love-you-so-much. And nothing-is ever-going- to change-that. You- are not- a- murderer.” He then planted a fervent kiss on her lips, which she deepened.
They continued kissing until Marinette broke away to say, “I love you too. You helped me so much when I was broken.”
Jason looked at her in the eyes with a raw intensity, “Then if you love me, never blame yourself for what happened to you.”
She smiled softly, “I promise”, before kissing him once more, with a deep passion.
He pulled away this time and told her, “You have a chance to have a second chance at life. Not many people get that. Use that second chance to fulfill everything you ever wanted. Leave the past behind. Be who you really are. Who you were before everything. But move into the future, with me by your side.”
“A second chance,” Marinette whispered, “A second chance.” Before kissing him once more. She was going to be okay. They had each other, and they were going to get through everything together. Together no matter what, they were going to give themselves a second chance, and they were going to spend every second of it together.
