Even if they aren’t kissing it’s imperative that everybody thinks they are. Hunter having a reputation among the scouts as “the empress’ scary guard dog” and having a reputation among public gossip mongers as “the empress’ “”””personal attendant”””” and him actually being both but also neither but also a secret third fourth and fifth thing. Nobody can figure them out. Including themselves. And also Amity and Willow whenever they officially are involved.
SKLDFKDS. YEAH HONESTLY THIS IS WHERE I AM AT THIS POINT TOO. they have absolutely no boundaries and extremely little sense of propriety, even if they do In Theory try not to be clingy in public. like their level of "we're Totally not being clingy right now" reads to most other people as ".....um..... harold....."
hunter and luz are like okay. well. we're not together like that. but we Could Be if we Wanted to be. we just aren't really interested in it. who cares. & amity in the background is pounding her forehead against a wall like "HOW DOES IT NOT FUCKING MATTER TO YOU IF PEOPLE THINK YOU'RE HAVING SEX. YOU CAN'T JUST LET PEOPLE BE WRONG"

Ok, but for your amusement, might I suggest:
Tucker decides Danny needs a break and a shot at a love life. Tucker blackmails Danny into ATTENDING (though he makes the mistake of not specifying for how long) and Danny runs into a bored Wayne kid. Neither want to be there. Both were blackmailed with the kindest intentions. Both decide to team up to make their well-meaning but obnoxious meddlers pay.
I MIGHT HAVE GONE A LITTLE CRAZY WITH A REPLY HOLY FUCK, I'M SO SORRY. WARNINGS FOR THE END: MENTIONS OF GUNS, THREATS OF VIOLENCE, VIOLENCE. Happy ending <3
"Danny, you need a break." Tucker said, and Danny sighed.
"This again? Guys, I'm fine."
"You're not fine, Danny." Sam insisted, standing next to Tucker. She had originally struck up this conversation when they were still in Amity Park. "You're going through a lot right now and you need a distraction that isn't work or ghost related. Gardening didn't work-" Because he froze every plant he touched, "Meditation didn't work-" because when he closed his eyes and tried to relax he would have flashbacks about the countless things he'd seen since the accident. "So the next step is dating."
Danny rolled his eyes. "Hard pass."
"Come on dude, Sam is right. If nothing else you can at least do some people watching and get to know the city better!"
Danny simply continued to scroll on Tiktok, wondering how hard it would be to do one of those dancing videos he saw everywhere. Then again he'd actually need to know how to dance for that to work. He was so busy looking at the video he didn't notice the glance his friends passed between each other before they sighed.
"You've given us no choice, Danny." Sam said, "Tucker."
Tucker held a phone out to Danny to make him see the screen as Danny's face burned red at the picture. It was a picture of him in his Phantom form after a fight with Skulker where a good chunk of his suit had been destroyed, showing off more than Danny was comfortable with.
"DUDE! I told you to delete that!" Danny said, jumping off the couch towards Tucker who was pulled out of the way by Sam who then armed herself with a frying pan. "Delete it, guys!"
"No way! And if you don't at least get out of this house and at least make a friend I'm going to make a Phantom Dating Profile using this picture!"
"You wouldn't dare." Danny glared.
"Try us." Sam said, "We'll even send it through the Ghost Zone now that the Phantom Phones are working we're bound to get some replies from interested ladies."
Danny faultered, then groaned. "Fine."
"Hell yeah, we even made it easy for you." Sam said, handing Danny a piece of laminated plastic. "One ticket to the Wayne Gala this weekend. Tucker got permission for two people to go with him. Which means the three of us are going to a party!"
"A party. A Wayne run party? You guys are just begging for trouble." Danny sighed, "Besides, I don't own a tux, remember?"
"Leave that to me."
Two days later the party arrived and the three of them walked up the drive towards the building where the event was being held.
Sam was wearing a beautiful A-Line dress that was jet black in color with a rose shaped black bracelet that was wrapped around her wrist over the back of her hand and connected to her middle finger.
Tucker was wearing a black suit with a white button up shirt with slight rose shaped patterns on it, a black tie and a thin gold chain connected to his left vest pocket. he looked very sofisticated.
Danny felt like a fool though. Silently wishing he had never let Sam pick out his clothes. He was wearing a white button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up, exposing the black compression sleeve on his left hand, a gray vest, black suit pants, black shoes and a black tie. He was wearing a silver watch on his right hand which served as a ghost portal maker in emergencies.
He also knew that the 'pocket watch' in Tucker's Pocket was the same kind of device, and the rose Sam was wearing would release harmless smoke out of it if they needed a distraction.
Danny still felt like this was a bad idea. No, actually, this was a terrible idea. Not only because he looked out of place compared to his friends but compared to the rest of the party he hardly seemed like he fit in. He was going to draw so much attention to himself.
They walked to the front doors, showing their invitations and id's to the guards before walking inside. It wasn't as loud as some other parties they'd seen since coming to Gotham but it also was more crowded. There were people everywhere in expensive outfits, talking about... something that sounded like rich person gossip, it was boring.
"Have fun you two, don't make fools out of yourselves." Sam said, waving as she walked over to mingle with a young woman with blonde hair and another girl with short black hair, both seemed to recognize her.
"Oh, hey those guys are from my team, I'll catch you later, Danny. I wanna talk shop." Tucker said, rushing off just as quickly as Sam did as Danny sighed.
'I wanna go home.' He thought as he began to wade through the sea of people, trying to find his way to a wall where he could make himself look as small as possible. Not that it would be hard, his body was so busy developing new powers all the time it had decided that he didn't need to grow anymore after he turned 16 and stuck him at a solid 5'6".
He finally found his way to a corner, letting out a sigh as he sat down on a chair and looked out at the party happening all around him. He started to subconsciously count the people in the room, even going so far as to closed his eyes and sensed the very souls in the room. 56 people in his room, 17 in the room Sam was in, 10 upstairs. Danny then opened his eyes and got a sense for the room in another way. 45 windows lined the entire South side of the building if he was going his math right, with two sets of double doors near the front of the building. The building was mostly open floorplan which helped keep an eye on everybody but in an emergency it would be a stampede.
A man walked over, crossing his arms as he leaned against the wall with a growl. He was wearing clothes similar to Danny's but with a red shirt, but what caught Danny's attention was how he felt. He was luminal but not like Sam who felt like a walk through the garden or Tucker who felt like gritty sand, no the feeling that came from this man was like fire. A burning pain that also felt like grease stuck to the back of Danny's throat.
He was luminal but the ectoplasm that made him luminal was so fucking tainted that it made Danny want to gag.
Seeming to notice Danny's glance the man looked back at him.
"What?" He growled.
"Nothing, just thought your hair was cool." Danny said, noting the white streak at the front of his bangs.
The man blinked, touching his hair. He was about Danny's age if he had to guess, maybe a bit older.
"Thanks. It's a birthmark." He grumbled, but Danny could tell that it was probably a sore subject. If death turned his hair white he could only assume it did the same to this guy too. "What's your name kid? Never seen you at one of these boring as parties."
"Danny. Danny Fenton. And I'm not a kid, I'm 19."
"Same age as me, neat. The name's Jason." Jason introduced, himself. "You work at Wayne Enterprises?"
"Kinda, I'm just the janitor, my friend was the one who was invited. I'm just one of his plus ones."
"Yikes, what'd you do to deserve a punishment like that?" Jason asked as Danny laughed.
"My friends decided that going to work then living as some kind of godless cryptid that sleeps the rest of the day 'isn't healthy' so they dragged me out here in hopes that I'll make friends. Though they may have heavily implied that they expected me to either find a date or hook up with somebody while I was here. When I said no, they blackmailed me here. I'm just hoping that if I stay small and don't complain then they'll just let me exist without getting in my face for a while. What about you, what are you in for?"
Jason hummed and nodded, "Similar story. My dad and siblings are all here and said that if I didn't at least make an appearance this time that they would hide some of my books. Among other things. Plus my older brother used the whole 'you never spend time with us' whimper while my two sisters gave me puppy dog eyes."
Danny and Jason sighed before Danny looked at him. "Wanna hang out so they think we're playing nice and leave us alone?"
"Sure." Jason chuckled, "So which ones are your friends?"
"That one there." Danny said pointing to Tucker, "Tucker Foley, he works as a Programmer at WE. Then over there is Sam Mason, she works as a Gardener."
Jason's eyes widened, "Doesn't your friend Sam work at the Wayne Manor?"
"Yeah? How do you know that?"
"My dad is Bruce Wayne." He said, his eyes going to Tucker before they landed back on Danny and he laughed. "Wait. You're that Janitor?"
Danny swallowed a lump in his throat. "I don't understand?"
"My dad came home one day and said that somebody told him that there was information happening at Wayne Enterprises that was above his paygrade an we've been teasing him about it for weeks. Now every time he asks anything we reply with 'that's above your paygrade, Bruce'."
Danny groaned, his cheeks burning red. "Oh my god, I can't believe this. I didn't even mean to say that, I just panicked when he suddenly showed up in storage for no reason and caught me... uh... testing stuff."
"Testing stuff?" Jason asked as Danny nodded.
"Y-yeah. See, I work as a janitor because I didn't graduate high school and unlike Tucker I can't just breeze through school and show off my hacking skills to get a job. So I've been using some of the tech that gets thrown away to make something that would help me temporarily lift some of the fragile heavy objects around the building and place them harmlessly down so I can clean under them. But then Bruce caught me, I panicked and that was my reply." Danny was quick to explain, which wasn't a lie he was working on something like that but it was for the Ghost Zone to help him move some heavy things around his Lair and hold down things that often floated off for no damn reason.
"You know, that does explain a couple of things. I can't imagine your boss seeing you mess with tech would be a fun thing to explain. But... if you're so smart why didn't you graduate?"
Danny shook his head, "I'm not smart, I mean not like Tucker or Sam or my family. My sister is in Metropolis studying Psychology and is already a good way through her degree because she graduated a year early. Tucker and Sam graduated and are both working on getting degrees in something but nah, school just wasn't something I could do. Sitting behind a desk learning from a book isn't my thing. I'm better at using my hands, figuring stuff out on the fly, and trial and error shit."
Jason thought about this for a moment before he smiled. "I don't blame you, school is bullshit. Just like stupid galas."
"Mhm..."
Jason suddenly smiled, "Dude, I have the best idea to get back at all of them."
Danny smiled back, "Oh, you have all of my attention."
That one choice was how Danny ended up leaning against a wall closer to the crowd while Jason loomed with one hand near his head, talking to him about absolutely nothing important just to play the position while Danny occasionally chuckled. To anybody outside of the conversation it was supposed to look like they were flirting, which in a way they were but they also weren't.
"Do you like raisins? How about a date?"
Danny chuckled, at the horrible pickup line. "Excuse me, sir, do you have the time? I would like to know the exact time when I got a crush on you."
Jason snorted, "Are you a magnet? Because you sure are attracting to me."
Noticing Tucker and Sam looking his way Danny reached up and gently touched Jason's black tie to sell it more, but he was careful not to touch Jason otherwise. "Let's flip a coin." He told the taller man, "Heads I'm yours, tails you're mine."
Jason's cheek got ever so slightly red as he cleared his throat. "Are you a parking ticket, because you've got fine written all over you." He said as Danny chuckled again, watching Sam and Tucker quickly walk away to give Danny privacy.
"If you were a vegetable you'd be a cute-cumber."
Jason relaxed again at the cheesy flirt as Danny touched the silk tie in his hands. Not because he was actively trying to flirt with Jason but because it felt really nice and expensive. Jason snapped him out of his thoughts with another flirt. "Do you believe in love at first sight, or shall I walk by again?"
Before Danny could think of another flirt another man walked over, this one about 24 or so in age. He had wavy black hair and blue eyes with tan skin.
"Little Wing! Who's your friend?"
"Ugh." Jason groaned, moving slightly as Danny let go of his tie. "Take a hint, Dickie-Bird." He groaned.
The new person simply ignored Jason though and held out his hand.
"Hi! I'm Dick, Jason's older brother."
Danny shook his hand, "Danny. Danny Fenton, it's nice to meet you."
"You too, Danny! You look a little young to be working at WE, are you here with somebody?"
"A bit of both, I'm a janitor at WE but I'm here with my friend Tucker."
"Really? That's awesome! How old are you, Danny?"
"I'm 19."
This seemed to relieve Dick in a way that confirmed any suspicion that Danny had about him checking to make sure Jason wasn't doing anything illegal though he found himself ever so slightly annoyed. Did he look that young? No, people were just blind.
"Neat! Well, I just wanted to make sure Little Wing here didn't ditch the party, so I'll let you guys go back to what you were doing. Have fun~" He said, then walked away as Danny chuckled and looked at Jason.
"'Little Wing'?"
"Dick gives everybody nicknames, it's stupid. Now, where were we?" He asked, suddenly slamming his hand back by Danny's head as his cheeks grew warm. "Oh, that's right, I was going to out cheese you with these stupid fuckin' flirts."
Danny snorted, "Do you play soccer? Because you look like a keeper."
"I'm studying to be a historian. I'm really interested in finding a date."
This continued for a long time until they ran out of flirts and by that point Bruce Wayne was about to do a speech. At least that was the plan until suddenly the doors slammed open as party was crashed by a large group of people all wearing matching masks. Masks that looked like Ghostface from Scream.
There were at least twenty of them, all heavily armed with guns that they fired into the air. Jason cursed and Danny quickly grabbed him by the arm.
"Don't." He said, looking for Sam and Tucker who were trapped on the other side of the room. They were separated, they were in a large room but with so many people they might have been trapped in a hallway. "Where's your family?"
Jason looked around, "I see my dad and youngest brother. My two sisters are with your friend Sam. I don't see the other three though."
Danny shook off the question of 'just many of you are there' and instead nodded. "Okay, my friends are together too. So we should stick together, everybody else is in groups. Rushing anywhere now might start a stampede."
Jason frowned then glared at the criminals who were pointing their guns at everybody.
"Okay~ I think it's time we get this party started. Now, let's make this easy. If you don't actively work at Wayne Enterprises or aren't related to Wayne Family via blood or adoption get on your stomachs on the ground, the rest of you stay on your feet."
"They're looking for somebody..." Jason mumbled as Danny nodded.
The majority of the crowd laid down while only about a third of the crowd remained standing allowing them to see each individual person.
"Very good!" The criminal in charge praised and looked around. "Now, anybody who makes the wrong move will get one of the people laying on the ground killed. I know a lot of you are stupid enough to try to play heroes so instead of you getting shot we'll shoot whoever is closest to us."
"Shit." Danny and Jason both said together before passing a glance at one another.
The one in charge looked around again until he looked at Danny and pointed at him. "You. Step up."
"No way." Jason said as the man pointed a gun at a young woman who sobbed in fear.
"No no, it's okay. I'm coming." Danny said, patting Jason's arm as he walked carefully through the crowd towards the gunmen.
"Nice to see you again, brat." Hissed the man as Danny raised a brow. Before he could question it though the man pointed to Bruce Wayne. "You. Step up."
"Father." The young kid standing next to Bruce Wayne said going to argue but Bruce just told him to stay put then walked towards them. Bruce kept his hands up, looking at Danny with a clear look of recognition.
"Why don't you let the kids go, there's not a lot of them but those who are here don't need to be involved in whatever demands you have." Bruce said.
"Hah, no way, Bruice-Boy." Hissed the man as two of his men grabbed Bruce by his wrists, yanking his arms behind his back and knocking him back down to his knees. "We came here today for you, but damn we're lucky that this one is here. See, if it weren't for the kid here-" The man grabbed Danny by the front of his suit, shoving the barrel against his chin. "We wouldn't need to do this. This is what happens when you meddle, brat."
Danny's heart sank before he glared. "It's you. You're that bastard who boke in a few weeks ago!"
"Yeah! And if you had just minded your damn business this wouldn't be happening now. If you had just let us do what we were going to do then it wouldn't be a problem."
"You were trying to burn down part of the building with people still inside, I wasn't going to let you."
"And how is that turning out for you now, brat? Hm?" He moved the gun from Danny's chin as shoved Danny back into the arms of two more men who grabbed Danny's arms and shoved them behind his back but let him stay on his feet. "Now, Mr. Wayne, let me explain. See, you and your company were trying to find a cure for something found in the water supply that was making some kids sick, but see were were making a lot of money selling the cure at the highest price. We were going to destroy your progress but unfortunately we were stopped by another kid who thought he was a hero. So, this is what we're going to do. You're good at fundraising so you're going to help us fundraise ransoms for each and every one of these people from their own pockets. The more a person pays the more limbs they get to keep. We'll start at 20,000 per limb." He pointed his gun at Jason. "We'll start with the young man closest to doing something stupid."
Danny growled, glancing at Sam and Tucker. Their eyes met and Danny flashed them green. Sam nodded then with a swift motion told her friends something before smashing her bracelet on the ground.
In an instant their area filled with smoke that rushed out covering the men with smoke and protecting the majority of the crowd laying on the ground in a layer of smoke while only those standing could be seen. Danny reacted as well, knowing that more people would be able to see him . Dropping his full weight down he yanked the two men holding him together as they smashed their heads together and let him go. Danny then elbowed the one to his right in the crotch before standing up, grabbing the barrel of his gun and yanking it upwards, squeezing the metal so the gun would be unusable before he pulled it from the mans hand. Flipping on the safety of the gun he spun it and smacked the man in the temple with the butt.
Danny spun the gun, moving it to his left hand before disarming the man of his gun and kicking it into the smoke in the direction of the stairs in hopes of keeping it away from people. Snapping out of their dazes Bruce and Jason also seemed to react as Bruce slammed his head back, breaking the nose of one of the men before elbowing one in the center of the chest knocking the breath out of him while Jason grabbed the barrel of the gun the main guy was using and shoved it up, causing the gun to go up and break some of the ceiling plaster but preventing people from getting hit. Deciding to leave those men to those two Danny go to work again, but this time in a slightly different way.
He hated fighting humans.
They were too fleshy and not durable like ghosts so he chose not to fight and the smoke provided the perfect cover as he froze the feet of the enemies who were still posing threats while mysterious snake like shapes wriggled under the smoke and yanked the men under to where they would later be found wrapped up in plants or ice. One by one the men were taken down until there was a pained cry that made Danny turn when he heard Bruce shout.
"Jason!"
Danny turned, seeing Jason rubbing at his face. There as a cut above his brows from a knife. He had managed to get the gun from the man but he had pulled out a knife.
Protect.
Danny snarled, taking a step forward as the man went to stab Jason. Danny and Bruce moved at the same time with Bruce covering his son. But Danny made it to them before the man could make contact and he got in the way of the attack. Danny held the wrists of the man as he barred his teeth.
Danny shoved the mans hands upwards, knocking him back slightly before he spun and did a roundhouse kick. An attack that he might have put just a bit too much power into as the man was thrown a good ten feet backwards towards the stairs and the doors that he had broken down. Danny could hear the man wheezing and coughing, seeing him flailing desperately under the smoke but not getting up.
No sooner did Danny relax and turn back to the Bruce and Jason then did Batman (who seemed shorter today for some reason), Red Robin and Signal showed up with the police and a verity of confused looks.
"You sure you're okay?" Danny asked Jason who nodded, his forehead bandaged.
"Just a scratch, headwounds bleed a lot. I'm more confused what the hell just happened. Normally the bats react more quickly than that when they send in a smoke screen."
Danny chuckled, "You have a lot of experiences with the bats?"
"I'm a Wayne, it comes with the territory. Are your friends okay?" He asked as Danny looked towards Sam and Tucker who were mostly just waiting for Danny to finish but Tucker was also hacking on his phone to erase whatever data he could from the security cameras as he possibly could.
"They're fine. I'm going to get an earful for being reckless though."
"I don't think you were reckless. But... how did you learn to fight like that?"
"Uh... long story. Where we come from though the saying 'fight or die' was serious and there were daily reminders of it. But again... long story."
Jason nodded, looking drained. "Well... I know that this whole thing was just a way to get our groups off of our backs but how would you like to get dinner together some day? Just as friends, I mean I'm not against maybe trying some day but right now I kinda wanna get to know you. Besides, I'd like to thank you for protecting me and my dad."
Danny thought for a moment before he smiled. "Sure." He reached into his pocket and handed Jason his phone. Jason typed in his number then handed the phone back. "Get home safe, Jason."
"You too, Danny."
Danny started walking away when Bruce suddenly called out.
"Danny." Danny stopped and turned towards his boss, shrinking down slightly before Bruce smiled and put his hand on his shoulder. "Are you okay?"
"All good."
"Are you sure? You did really well out there but if you're hurt you should get looked out."
"I'm not hurt, Mr. Wayne, I promise. Just really tired."
"Alright, if you're sure." Bruce moved his hand and smiled, "Thanks for saving us, Danny."
"Any time, Mr. Wayne, but let's not make a habit out of it, okay? I moved to Gotham to get away from craziness like that." He said, waving his hand as he walked to his friends as he wrapped his arms over both of their shoulders and they made their way home.
"So, you guys have fun?" Sam asked as Danny looked at her.
"You know what... kinda, yeah. At least until the end."
"Did you get his number?" Wondered Tucker.
"Of course I did."

okay here me out
(WARNINGS: suicidal thoughts. Also please do not repost or reblog.)
So we all know that mr Tamaki Amajiki is big anxiety right?
Well imagine if he had a partner that was just as anxious and nervous as he was.
Like Mirio introduced you to him and you guys were like: Im JuSt LiKe YoU, YoU'rE jUsT LiKe mEeeeeE ITS SOMETHING ANYONE CAN SEEEEEEE
Or maybe Tamaki was like: Its okay, Tamaki. Just imagine them in their underwear.
...OH NO THEY'RE HOTTTT
anyway but like you two enjoy just staying inside and cuddling.
I feel like you both would do cute things to show your guy's love for each other, maybe like, gift giving, or holding pinkies, or soft little forehead kisses.
Oh you don't feel like going out? Good. Tamaki agrees and you two watch a silly TV show together.
Sometimes you two don't even need to talk to each other, you guys can just stay close together and thats enough.
Imagine if you two have a kid, boy, girl, whatever. And they are just like the most EXTROVERTED PERSON TO EVER LIVE.
Don't get me wrong you both are super supportive of your little pastel child but HOLY HELL. They do get along with Mirio a lot, however, which is adorable.
Oh, they wanna bring friends over? Do it when you and Tamaki are not in the house just incase the friends want to see you guys or you both accidentally run into them.
But all in all i give this relationship a 7/10. Very cute.
Now imagine Tamaki with a super big and buff s/o.
Have you seen Black Clover? Okay so you built like Yagi. Like big buff hot and intimidated for looks.
You seen Jujutsu Kaisen? Okay then you built like Maki. Personality wise.
Sorry, but at first Tamaki avoided you like the plague. To him, he thought you were kinda scary. To make things worse for him, you were a Bakugou. Katsuki's twin to be specific.
But you were also good friends with Mirio and Kirishima, so maybe he could try talking to you.
Just kidding he hid behind Mirio every time you went up to talk to him.
So one time he was walking around the campus when he saw you outside training outside in the courtyard. His first thought was to run away and hide, but then you called him over.
Not wanting to be rude, he hesitantly walked over to you, trying to avoid eye contact at all times.
Then you asked him if he'd want to hang out sometimes.
Tamaki was so fucking shocked and confused, this poor baby. Have you seen the owl house? Remember how Amity Blight blushes? Yeah, thats how he blushed. When he didn't respond, you just took it as a silent rejection. But before you could say anything, he nodded very stiffly and slowly.
Somehow you two are dating now.
Oh ho ho ho. You thought it was done? No.
Your mom wanted to meet your boyfriend. Mitsuki Bakugou, your mother.
So you asked Tamaki, and he was pretty hesitant at first. But he wanted to make you happy and proud of him, so he said yes.
Tamaki stayed next to you like you were the last thing on earth all through the dinner. Katsuki was glaring daggers at him from afar, but stayed quiet because...lets be honest. Your twin brother is kinda afraid of you.
Tamaki spoke when spoken too, and was very polite. He tried to keep his voice as steady as possible and even kept eye contact with your mom for about two minutes.
When the night ended, Tamaki was rewarded with kisses and cuddles.
Basically, you two are a version of Yuta Okkotsu and Maki Zen'in from Jujutsu Kaisen. I give this 9/10 you two are so silly.
Okay. One more.
If you've seen Bungo Stray Dogs, you know of Dazai Omasu. A very silly and suicidal guy. Yeah, you have his personality.
And EVERYONE knows Satoru Gojo, right? Its your lucky day because you have his looks!
Anyways.
Tamaki is super intimidated by you because you're obviously very popular and flirty and playful.
So one day you're kinda just walking around UA and you see Tamaki talking with Mirio. Since Tamaki is a super shy guy, you were like: yes, a new target.
You walked up to him and Mirio, talked for a bit with Mirio, than proceeded to flirt with Tamaki.
Tamaki was confused as hell. Why is this super hot and popular person talking to me? He thought.
Eventually, you left, but not before saying to Tamaki: "Don't bother calling me by my last name. After all, it'll be yours soon." You winked and walked away.
Yeah, Tamaki fainted.
You two eventually started dating when you got dared to kiss Tamaki. (Don't worry you asked permission first.)
Oh, people are flirting with you? Well, prepared to be ignored because your focus is all on Tamaki!
At one point, Tamaki got super sad when you kept making jokes about killing yourself. He cuddled with you and cried, begging for you not to leave him.
Please don't, he'll miss you a lot.
He feels the need to always be around you, not wanting to slip up and give you a chance at suicide by not being there.
I give this relationship a 10/10, very awesome.

Half A Corpse
Chapter One
The soft hum of the radio filled the silent car ride, the four bodies inside somewhat anticipating what was to come. It had been a couple of days since they had left the ruins of Amity and were making their way to their new home in Gotham.
If any of them had their own way they would have stayed in Amity and mourned what they had lost. Every Amity Parker would have, even Dan. But with some prompting from none other than Clockwork, they all made their way to their new homes. Where was that? Wherever their hearts took them.
Most, like the Nightingale's, left for Gotham. Others, Metropolis. Some strayed from the trend and moved to places like Central City or even far into the countryside. But it was as Clockwork said, and they went where their hearts took them.
“This place smells of death.”
Jazz couldn't tell if her sister was complaining or not but she wouldn't blame her if she were.
“Haven't you been to Gotham before?” She asked, her eyes drifting upwards to the rear view mirror to look at Dani, only to see her sitting upside down. “Also if you keep that up I'll be the one going to jail not you.”
“It was actually the first place I went because I thought it was interesting,” She said while shifting herself into an upright position “but I could sense that it was someone's haunt so I didn't intrude.”
“Good thing you didn't. She doesn't have the ability to deal with many of the issues within her city but Lady Gotham is a powerful spirit nonetheless, and doesn't do well with outside ghosts.” Dan stated, putting down his book to give his full attention to his little sister.
“Well if that's the case why did she let us in?”
“Because Clockwork and I asked very nicely.” Danny yawned at her. He was still waking up from his nap. He was very, very tired.
Dani didn't ask any more questions. She was already off of that topic and was now observing the city around her. She was completely enamored. Fascinated by how well both the modern and gothic architecture complemented each other. To her (and probably everyone else in the car);
“It gives dark academia vibes, ya know! Just modern. And with lots of crime.” Her voice filled with awe and wonder.
“Excusing the fact that you've been on the internet too much as of late, it would have been better if there was a little more sunlight.”
They all couldn't have agreed more. True to every Gothamite's words, the sun did not shine in Gotham. And with all the smog, probably never will.
From there on the car ride was filled with convocation. Everyone had something to say about their new city. Their new home.
***
Danny never thought that he would be having a conversation with Sam about what it meant to be low-key but here he was.
“Yeah, I know you said that you wanted something low-key but there was no way I was going to let you guys live in some shabby apartment. So I bought a place and renovated it for you guys.”
Danny rubbed his temples feeling a headache coming on. “Yeah okay I thank you for that. But what's the cafe, book shoppy thing down bottom huh?”
“Well you guys said that you wanted to be self-sufficient.” Sam stated as if that would answer his question. Based on pure context alone it did.
"Sam, you know we literally live in a place called Crime. Alley. Right? I know we border the Narrows but that's not the point.”
She sighed. “You guys refused my help because you said it would ‘feel like using me’, “ Danny could just hear the air quotes from over the line, “but let's face it! Jazz is doing college full time and you and Dani will be going to school. The only person left to work in Dan. And no offense to him but he looks shady AF.”
A shout came from the other side of the house informing them that no offense was taken.
“Anyways,” she continued “Dan looks hella shady. And from what I can tell, no one's gonna hire a shady person. Especially if they come from Crime Alley or the Narrows. The only work he would probably get is from a shady garage or joining a gang and doing straight up crime.”
Danny sighed and shook his head, plopping himself into one of the beanbag chairs Sam furnished the house with. She had a point and she was also painting a clear image in his head about how that would work out.
“Besides, I set up a protection circle after renovations were finished and I've gotta say it's the best work I've done yet.”
He could feel Sam's pride through the phone. She was probably puffing up her chest like a peacock.
“Yeah I felt it coming in. I don't know shit about magic but I could tell that it was pretty good. What does it do again?”
The next hour was filled with endless chatter between the two. It became even longer once Tucker joined the conversation.
Jazz couldn't help but watch her little brother talk so animatedly with his friends. He just looked so happy. Like everything that had happened to them didn't even happen. It was kinda unnerving. What she was seeing here, the happy go lucky boy she saw in the orphanage all those years ago, and what she saw a couple back just wasn't adding up. That couldn't have been her brother. It couldn't. But it was.
Her breathing was becoming ragged as she started to shake. She sighed in relief feeling the presence of Dan beside her.
“He's going to remember, you know.” He said, handing her a cup of jasmine tea. She took it gratefully and Dan continued. “Clockwork said that the seals would break eventually-”
“He also said that he needed a trigger.” She snapped at him. After a moment of realization she apologized. He continued.
“CW doesn't do anything uncalculated Jazz I just want you to know that.”
“What do you mean by that?” She asked, her voice quivering a bit.
“He had a whole life before he met you, Jazz. One he doesn't remember. That should say something sis.”
He walked away before she could say anything else.

@stealingyourbones @gilbirda look at what you've made me do! Look at what you've inspired! :D
Infinite Realms Green Lantern Corps Phantom au.
Hal to Watchtower "I've arrived at the location the power ring was last picked up on the scanners I'm in a small city named Amity Park Illinois"
Hal located the building that his power ring is directing him to. A house with a sign that says Fenton Works In bright neon.
As Hal walks up to knock at the front door he sees a ufo-looking contraption on the roof Hal mutters "there's no way that thing is legal to have in a residential area".
A red-headed young woman in her early twenties answered the front door to Fenton Works. Hal's ring recognizes her as Jasmine Madeline Fenton the person the power had been looking for. Hal's ring also recognized that her young brother Daniel James Fenton is also home Madeline Walker Fenton and Jackson James Fenton are not present Hal's ring whispers to him. Good Hal thinks less people to deal with this should be an easy in and out mission.
"So you're Earth's new Green Lantern that the ring has chosen" Jazz looked at Green Lantern Hal Jordan who stood on the front porch of Fenton Works. Jazz had just arrived back home from Gotham after taking some mandatory vacation time from Arkham Asylum. Jazz looked at Hal in his civilian disguise that probably was just his everyday clothes. She mentioned that they should probably talk about this inside. Jazz invited Hal in.
"This is about the Green Lantern ring that came flying through the wall at me isn't it." Jazz said aloud. Hal nodded in yes motion as he moved to walk in.
"Are sure you also aren't here for Danny?" asked Jazz as she stepped aside as the Justice League member walked in through the front door. They headed over to the living room and sat down on the couch. "Why would I be here for your younger brother," Hal asked Jazz in confusion. "Oh, you didn't know Danny had been chosen by a Green Lantern ring back when he was 16" Jazz replied to the Lantern's question. Hal's ring discreetly tells him that there is no record of Danny James Fenton being a part of the Corps.
"Danny! get down here" Jazz yelled upstairs. A groggy sleepy 18-year-old Danny comes down the stairs and into the living room "Jazz you know I just got back from a long-ass patrol Vakta was being a hard ass again I barely got any sleep you know how she is when she's like that. Whoever said you can sleep when you are dead is a filthy liar". Danny stopped in front of the couch sleepily rubbing at his eyes. Hal noticed the Emerald Green ring on his right hand that his power ring was having trouble properly identifying without a more thorough scan according to his ring it was a power ring of some kind.
Danny finally noticed the other person in the room "Oh hey you must be Jason Jazzys boyfriend, Jazz keeps talking about you a lot whenever she calls home, from the way she likes to talk about you I thought you would be a lot younger". "Danny no this isn't Jason" a red-faced Jazz replied, this is Green Lantern Hal Jordan.
Danny cuts Jazz off to say irritatedly "the same Hal Jordan that belongs to the Justice League the same League that ignored our calls for help 4 years ago". "Danny! be nice," Jazz says "maybe now that the Justice League is finally here" Danny has more to say but is cut off by Hal stopping the argument the two siblings were about to have.
Hal jumps in saying that "I am here because your sister Jasmine was chosen by her Green Lantern ring to be Earth's next Green Lantern and you also apparently where chosen by a power ring".
Danny answers Hal "uh you're a little too late for me I've already been contacted by the Green Lantern Corps back when I was 16". Hal answers back by saying that there's no record of you or your power ring back on Oa. Danny replies to Hal " It was the Green Lantern Corps that patrols the Infinite Realms that got intouch with me, my sector is Infinite Realms sector 4348247".
Hal just stares at Danny in confusion. "Uhh hey kid you don't mind if I scan your power ring do you"? Hal asks. "Sure go ahead and scan my ring if that will make you believe me" Danny answers back sarcastically to Hal's question.
Hal chooses to ignore Danny's sarcasm the poor kid looks dead on his feet, and as he scans Danny's ring the results confirm that Danny has an authentic Green Lantern ring and is a member of a Corps called the Infinite Realms Green Lantern Corps. Hal asks for more information and the ring replies that it is unable to access classified information.
Suddenly Hal receives a message directly from the Guardians back on Oa that Green Lantern Hal Jordan Green Lantern Jasmine Madeline Fenton and IRGLC Daniel James Fenton Phantom are to report to Oa immediately. Danny just presses his head into his hands and groans out that it was supposed to be his day off.
So here's a little Snippet of a Danny Phantom Green Lantern Au that I wrote on my notes app on my phone.
Sorry about any spelling and grammar mistakes I wrote this with no sleep. Kek

Death by Exposure
Written for the Phic Phight Prompts: At first Danny had been worried sick that Wes had figured out that he was Phantom, but when no one believed him it had sort of become funny. Still, after the anti-ecto act, and the GIW, and his own parents very public very violently vitriolic screeds against ghosts, Danny had to wonder what he'd ever done to Wes that the guy would risk exposing Danny to all that. (from @hpwotters-blog, or at least I think that's you're tumblr.), Wes Weston wakes up to find an injured Phantom on the fire escape. (from @half-deadmagicperson), With how much time he spends on basketball and his delusional conspiracy theories, no one would ever suspect that Wes Weston has another secret hobby… (from @kadziduo), And Wes has been spending more and more time around Fenton and Co. lately - hey! he’s only trying to get some much-needed evidence against them, not trying to get all buddy-buddy with them. And anyway, they’re an entirely annoying bunch, so he wholeheartedly blames them for the fact that he’s currently being monologued at by the ghost holding him hostage. (from @a-closet-emo)
Chapter 5: Exposed
AO3 Link
[Warnings death mentions and kidnapping]
Much to both boys' surprise, Wes and Danny bonded during the remaining days of spring break. Even after Danny was fully healed and could go home, they hung out together. Wes even helped him in a ghost fight once or twice. When Sam and Tucker got back from their respective trips, they were dumbfounded.
"Danny, this is definitely just another ploy to gather evidence that you're Phantom," Sam pointed out. "I know you're not the brightest bulb, but even you have to see that."
"First of all, rude. And second of all, I showed up on his fire escape, bleeding out, and he patched me up," Danny told her. He'd already told her twice before. "I really don't think he's all that eager to expose me anymore. For now, at least."
"And how long is that gonna last?" Tucker asked. "How do you know he'll still feel that way tomorrow? Or next week?"
"I rarely ever say this, but Tucker's right," Sam said, crossing her arms. "Your parents and the Guys in White have created a propaganda machine that's constantly pumping out new anti-ghost sentiments. Wes may have resisted so far, but for how much longer?"
"Will you two just trust me?" Danny pleaded. "Ever since he figured out I'm Phantom, Wes has learned a lot more about ghosts than your average Amity Parker. He knows as well as we do that the Guys in White are lying about ghosts being non-sentient. And you're right, he still wants people to know I'm Phantom, but you were also right a couple months ago when you said he didn't want me to get hurt. Do you remember that?"
"We do trust you, Danny," Tucker said. "We just don't understand why you'd trust Wes, unless you're like, being overshadowed, or you lost your mind or something."
"Is that it?" Sam asked. "Have you gone completely insane? Next thing you're gonna tell us is that you've started thinking of Vlad as a father figure."
"Ew," Danny cringed. "It's nothing like that. I just think maybe we misjudged Wes a little bit."
"I'll believe it when I see it," Sam scoffed.
"Great, 'cause he's having lunch with us on Monday, when school starts back up again."
"WHAT?"
Sam and Tucker were none too pleased when Wes joined them in the cafeteria, just like Danny had said he would. But he didn't go on his usual tangent about Danny's secret identity, and, "How am I the only one seeing this? Wake up!" Even when Danny openly mentioned something that happened while fighting ghosts as Phantom, Wes kept it confined to their table.
He did ask a lot of questions about ghosts, though, and every time Danny answered them, Sam and Tucker would give him a look like he'd just sold Fenton Works for a handful of beans.
"What are you doing?" Sam hissed in his ear. "He's going to use this information to expose you!"
"Eventually, maybe, but relax," Danny muttered back. "He's changing his tack, okay? He wants to prove ghosts are sentient first and get the anti-ecto acts repealed."
"Oh, sure, that's a totally attainable goal for a high school student." She rolled her eyes. "Do you really believe he's going to do that?"
"I don't know, but he seems to," Danny told her with a shrug.
"I know you guys are talking about me," Wes said. "If you won't say it to my face, don't say it at all. Put up or shut up."
"Sam says she has no faith in you," Danny told him, and she gasped and punched him in the shoulder. "Ow!"
"That's fair," Wes said. "She's gonna eat those words, though."
"I'd like to see you make me!" she sneered.
"I'd like to see that, too," Tucker piped up cheerfully. "It's always fun to watch Sam eat her words. Those words better be vegan, am I right?"
Danny laughed before saying, "actually, I think words are technically an animal product, since they come from humans. Guess Sam may have to go off her diet." The two of them busted up while Sam scowled, and Wes looked confused for a moment before chuckling awkwardly, just so he wouldn't be left out.
Wes continued to spend more time with the three of them. He could often be found taking notes on things they said about ghosts for his new conspiracy theory about the G.I.W. covering up the fact that ghosts are sentient in order to enact the legal genocide of an intelligent species.
"What are you doing hanging out with that loser so often?" Dash asked derisively as he caught the ball Wes sent his way and passed it to Josh. Wes had just told him that he was meeting Danny and his friends once basketball practice was over. Dash faked a gag for dramatic effect.
"Lay off, dude, I'm gathering evidence," Wes said. The whole school still thought Wes was obsessed with his 'Fenton is Phantom' theory, and he didn't have enough evidence to start spreading his new theory yet, so he used that as his cover. It was harder than he thought to prove that ghosts were genuinely sentient when the commonly held belief was that they were pretending to be sentient, for God only knew what reason. "If I spend time around them, they'll eventually slip up and give me everything I need."
"Dude, you're off your nut if you're still trying to prove your stupid theory," Dash said with a snort. "He's not Phantom. Just admit you're crushing on him and stop making excuses."
"I am not crushing on Danny Fenton!" Wes snapped, insulted by the insinuation, one that was made far too often for Wes' liking. "Fenton's a complete dumbass, a liar, and an asshole. I'm gay, not stupid. I would never be attracted to someone like that."
"Uh-huh, sure." Dash clearly didn't believe it. Wes just sighed and stopped arguing, knowing it would be useless if he did. Nobody ever believed anything Wes said, so that was hardly new. It was annoying though.
When basketball practice ended, he headed to Fenton's house. Sam, Danny, and Tucker were all going to teach Wes how to play Doomed, which promised to be an... interesting experience.
Wes had never really played any video games before. He'd tried out a few at an arcade once, years ago. Kyle got to pick where they had their party on odd numbered years, so they went to one for their eleventh birthday. Wes hadn't lasted more than five minutes on any of the games there, and it ranked among the worst birthday parties he'd ever had for the pure frustration. He got back at Kyle for their twelfth though, when Wes got to choose the place and they had their birthday party at a bird sanctuary.
He knocked on the door when he arrived, and Danny answered it and immediately ushered Wes up to his room before his parents could intercept and trap Wes in a one-sided conversation about ghosts. Well, actually, with Wes there might've been some audience participation.
After an hour, Wes had made a character and approximately nine thousand derisive comments about video games, but he hadn't even managed to beat the first level. The other three were extremely amused.
"I told you I'm not good at video games," he reminded them, having to shout to be heard over their uproarious laughter as he repeatedly ran his character into a wall... again. "I told you all, like, a dozen times, but you insisted!" Even Sam had, which had surprised Wes, because she didn't seem like the gamer type. "I don't have the finger reflexes and shit."
"You spend all day behind a camera!" Tucker pointed out, panting with laughter. "How do you not have finger reflexes?"
"It's different reflexes!"
"You know what, Wes, maybe you should stick to bird watching," Danny said, patting his shoulder with fake sympathy.
"I didn't want to play in the first pla—"
"Bird watching?!" Tucker shouted, interrupting him. "You're shitting me right now."
"No, I saw his bird watching journal," Danny said. "It's intensely nerdy." Wes shot to his feet to chew him out for exposing his shameful secret, but whatever he said, it couldn't be heard over Sam's witch-like cackle.
In the end, Wes couldn't help getting dragged in, and started laughing himself. Even as he said, "Fuck you guys," he was smiling.
They took a break from gaming when Danny's parents left to check out a ghostly disturbance that Tucker had called in a fake tip about. The four of them headed downstairs to the lab to give Wes a tour.
"If he's going to hang out with us, he needs to at least know how the ghost portal works," Danny insisted, though Sam and Tucker grumbled complaints the whole way down the stairs. "Let me show you." Danny gave him a demonstration of how he returned ghosts from the thermos into the Ghost Zone, and how to know when the portal was just closed, and when it was actually sealed.
"This is pretty cool, actually," Wes said. He'd heard about the portal, of course, the Doctors Fenton could hardly shut up about it, but looking at it was a different story, "seeing another dimension."
Danny snorted. "Careful, Wes," he warned lightly. "That's the same thing I said, right before I died in it." Wes stopped cold.
"You what?"
"Oh... I guess I forgot that for all your yelling, you don't actually know how I became half ghost, do you?" Danny's smiled turned pained. "Yeah. The portal didn't work at first, and Sam and Tucker convinced me to check out the inside. It uh... kinda turned on while I was in there and...." Danny trailed off for a moment, swallowing and furrowing his eyebrows, as though he was remembering something deeply unpleasant. "Well, short version is it kinda killed me, kinda didn't, and that's why I am the way that I am."
"Just so you know, Wes," Sam said darkly, "It's super rude to ask a ghost how they died."
"It's okay, Sam," Danny told her, pulling himself together. "I'm the one who brought it up."
Wes refrained from making a biting comment about how he wasn't the one who'd goaded Danny to his death to begin with. It seemed like it would be in poor taste, given the setting and present company. Danny clearly didn't like thinking about it. Instead, Wes pointed out a huge object against one wall, covered in a tarp, and asked what it was.
Danny jumped on the subject change and tore the tarp away to reveal the Specter Speeder, and told Wes all about how it worked. "Maybe some other time, we'll take you with us on one of our trips into the Ghost Zone," Danny offered.
"Really? That would be awesome!"
Sam and Tucker groaned. They still weren't fully on board with Wes spending more time around them, and it wasn't like Wes wanted to get all buddy-buddy with them either. If anyone brought it up, he'd tell them the same thing he told Dash. He was gathering evidence against them, nothing more. They were all annoying, anyway.
Wes left when it was starting to get dark out. All told, despite monumentally sucking at Doomed, he'd gathered a lot of good information on ghosts and ectology when he was in the lab, and he could definitely use it to support his theory. As soon as he stepped off the front porch, something grabbed him out of nowhere, and he was flying away.
"What the?!" Wes struggled, but it was no use. He looked up to see his kidnapper, the ghost of some kind of medieval nobleman or something, wearing fine purple and black robes and a bitter expression on his blue face. "Fan-fucking-tastic." Wes pouted and crossed his arms. Of course something like this would happen. This is what he got for befriending Danny Fenton.

Shoutout to the amazing @sharksinflowercrowns for being my beta.
Deck the Halls of Wittebane Manor
CHAPTER TWO…
"So here we are… Bonesborough… Just like I remember it.” Luz exclaimed, putting her head out of the window, as her brother drove past the sign on the side of the road. " Oh, how I missed this place! I can't wait to see Eda and King and Amity and everyone else!"
"Luz, I'm gonna turn this car around right now, if you don't sit your butt down. What are you, five?” Hunter sighed seeing his sister poking her head out of the window of his car. "Vee, ask her to sit down for once."
Vee, his other sister who was quietly sitting in the backseat of the car looking at her phone, just turned to look at Luz for a second. Seeing that she isn't going to listen to anyone in the car, Vee just shrugged helplessly as she went back to scrolling through her social media on her phone.
"Come on! It's been a while since I saw them. Gimme a break, I am super excited to see them." Luz retorted, sitting back down on her seat.
"You can unleash your excitement when we actually get there ok? For now, I'm gonna have to ask you to contain your excitement, since we're in a moving car." Hunter rolled his eyes, pulling up into an empty house with the gates already open. "We're here…" He trailed off looking at his childhood home. Memories came flooding back to him. Some good ones followed by a lot of bad ones. He froze in his seat, staring at the grand mansion.
"Hey, you good?" Luz asked, placing a hand on his shoulder, making him snap out of his impromptu trance.
"Yeah… Yeah, I'm ok.” He nodded as he proceeded to unbuckle his seatbelt subconsciously.
"You don't have to do it, you know?” Vee asked from her seat, concerned about her brother. "If Darius really wants this old thing renovated, we could do it for you."
"It's ok… I can do it." He cleared his voice, shaking the feeling off. "Thanks for the offer though." He got out of the car and looked around. He saw a guy in a leather jacket, approaching him while waving at him. Hunter immediately recognized him and waved back with a smile.
"Hey boss. Good to have you back.” He said, giving a fist bump to Hunter in the most amicable way despite addressing him as a superior.
"Steve, good to see you too man." Hunter replied with a slight chuckle, happy to see his main man. "And what did I say about this "boss" nonsense? You know, you can just call me Hunter."
"Eh, don't sweat it. Once a boss, always a boss." Steve shrugged nonchalantly. "I mean, you do deserve that title. Look at everything you've done for the company. Not an easy task. Only a true boss can pull it off." He winked encouragingly.
"Haha… Maybe…" Hunter rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "Anyway, what are you doing here?” He regained his composure.
"Yeah right. Darius asked me to open up the house for you. Not gonna lie, I'm glad you've returned. This house almost seemed kinda haunted without people living in it. Gave me the creeps." He shuddered visibly.
"Hunter! If you're done socializing, get your butt over here and help us unload these!” Luz shouted from the back of the car while unloading their luggage with Vee.
"Coming…" Hunter rolled his eyes as he walked towards the back of the car, to help them. Steve offered to help too.
After they managed to unload their obviously over packed luggage, Steve waved everyone goodbye and took off in his bike. Hunter, Luz and Vee entered the somewhat ancient house after a long time and looked around due to not so different reasons.
Hunter felt a bit nostalgic as he took in the view of the interior. He had mixed feelings about this whole thing. On one hand he was glad that this house got rid of Philip and on the other hand it was giving him some serious PTSD. He gulped as he walked in further making his way up the stairs to his old room with his suitcase in his hand. "You can take whatever room you want, except the one on the left corner." He pointed out. "I'll be in my room if you need me. But please… Don't need me." He continued to walk to his old room.
He reached the door and saw that his room was still locked. Just the way he left it all those years ago when he ran away from this place. The same padlock that required a code to open it up was still hanging, with some dust gathered around it. He brushed some of it off using his finger to reveal the number combination. He wondered if he could still… Aha! He put the code in so smoothly as if he only locked the door this morning. The door opened with a slight creaky noise. He wordlessly entered his room and shut the door behind him.
Luz and Vee looked at him sadly before picking up their own suitcases and heading upstairs.
"Poor Hunter. I wish I could make him feel better about this, you know." Luz said, looking at Hunter's now closed room. She had been here before. When Hunter was still in his uncle's custody. In fact, Luz had been the one who discovered that Philip was in fact not who he seemed to be. She was one of the first people to discover his dark secrets. Coming back to this house did bring back some horrible memories.
"Yeah, he's been through a lot here, you know. This place can be a real nightmare. Even though I've been here only for a couple of days. I can only imagine what Hunter is going through." Vee sighed. She too had her own share of trauma in this house. In fact, that's where she met Luz. Luz helped Vee escape the clutches of Philip and offered her to stay in her own house. After a couple of months, Luz's mother, Camila officially adopted Vee as her daughter and now they were siblings who shared an unbreakable bond.
Luz and Vee picked two consecutive rooms beside Hunter's room. The three of them had so much to process along with so much to unpack.
As soon as Hunter entered his old room, he let out a breath he didn't know that he was holding. He was standing in his old room. His room, just the way he left it. His old bed with patched up sheets and a patched up pillow. He could see the foot of his pink frog plushie prodding out from the side. A drawer of his desk full of old books scattered all over it, was still half open because he failed to close those years ago, when it wouldn't budge with so many papers stuffed into it. The walls were still filled with old posters that displayed his various interests back in the day, now falling apart due to the weakening of the adhesive on the tape used to put them up.
He sighed as he put his suitcase down and plopped onto his bed. He closed his eyes taking in the scent of his old living space. Since it had been abandoned for a while, the scent wasn't exactly pleasant, but he didn't really mind it. This wasn't a grand moment to remember for the rest of his life or anything but this wasn't a bad moment either. He let the familiar feeling of his old mattress engulf him, although it was quite harder than the one back in his current room at Luz's house in Gravesfield. He finally had a moment of peace, but it was short lived when he heard intense knocking on the door.
"Hunter! We're gonna visit Eda and King. And then maybe Amity. You coming?” She asked from the other side of the door.
"Ugh…" He groaned covering his eyes with both of his palms. He knew resisting Luz would be a fruitless effort. He knew better than to decline her. Especially if it involves family gatherings. "Do we have to go now? Like right now?” He asked, daring to hope that she might actually change her mind.
"Yup!" She answered immediately that Hunter could practically see her jumping up and down with excitement, even though the door was shut. 'I can't wait to see them again. Besides, I might've already told them that we're coming soooooo… Don't you think not going there would be rude?” She said as if she didn't just pull Hunter into one of her sneaky plans.
"I'll be there in a minute…" He sighed as he stood up and stretched for a couple of seconds. He took a deep breath as he approached the door. 'It's ok Hunter… It's only for a week and you're making your family happy.' He said to himself to calm his nerves before opening the door.
"Took you long enough." Luz said as she noticed him opening the door, right before she had a glimpse of his messy room. "Whoa… Dude, your room…" She trailed off, absentmindedly pushing Hunter out of her way to step into his room.
"Yeah… um… I know it's pretty messy… I made sure no one could enter so… I kinda left it locked." He fumbled with his hands looking around. "I'll clean it up soon."
Luz turned around to face him. She saw that he was fidgeting with his hands. Something he did when he was nervous. She could tell that he was being self-conscious about his room. He knew that Luz wouldn't judge him, but as the saying goes 'Old habits die hard'.
Luz's expression softened as she saw this. She approached him and reached out her hand to place it on his shoulder. "Hunter… I can tell that this is actually a lot to handle for you. But you chose to face it bravely. I'm so proud of you." She said, smiling at him warmly. "If it's too much, just know that we could leave as soon as you feel uncomfortable. No judgments, no questions asked. We'll always be there for you, no matter what."
Hunter relaxed a bit, after listening to what she said. He was really grateful that he had two awesome sisters. As annoying as they could get, somehow they always knew what to say when he was upset. "Thanks." He said with a tiny smile appearing on his face. He looked around his room as if inspecting it thoroughly. "Maybe Darius was right. This place could use more life…." He turned back to look at Luz. "...Right after we get back from visiting the family."

Note
I think Dana explained the betas though, it was the characters in a much different, heavier and darker story, that probably would have leaned more into the idea of witches and… well hell. Since Hieronymus Bosch drew lots of purgatory images. But you cant really do that for Disney. Plus to be fair, you’re meant to be able to throw ideas at a wall (even if they are very unlikely to work) for concept art and then be willing to immediately dump stuff and try new ideas without getting attached.
Side note, while the big selling point for the Betas is that they are edgy or can be used to explore darker subjects, people sometimes just make them borderline evil, or just… actual evil, did you know its very easy to find beta fics tagged with non con and/or underage? Yea. They make Willow actively hateful and sadistic or make the Lumity ship a copy paste of Catradora, aka have them beat the life out of each other but then say uwu owo its not toxic, they love each other.
(seriously i cannot take ship discourse in fandoms seriously, they'll say one ship is toxic or problematic and turn around and ship the same thing but worse.)
For the first point... You're absolutely right. I should not judge for someone exploring different possibilities in concept art because I have no idea when in production that art was made or what the idea for the show was at the time. A LOT of things go through a half a dozen rewrites before the public ever sees them. Frozen apparently came down to the wire for its final plot and it's a miracle we got what we did at all. And even then, I think that movie is still a bit of a mess at times.
Also, fun fact, I have considered an Owl House AU where Luz went to hell instead. In that, Eda would be a demon looking for redemption and her only real ally, but also the only one trying to be real with her so Luz keeps thinking the demons who want to manipulate her are the ones to trust. Amity would have also been an angel undercover and supposed to be giving reports to god about the comatose child who's soul went to hell for some reason when the worst she deserves is Limbo. I could do a concept pitch blog for it but *shrug*
So I think it's personally wrong to conflate canon material with fan material and what is being criticized. Fanworks and the like are one of the safest places to explore different topics or express pain and the like you've had. It also only commonly has one or two eyes on it to say something might be toxic while media on tv usually has a few dozen and the fact that no one catches the red flags is... questionable. Especially why those red flags exist.
(As a note: I can't weigh in on if Catradora is toxic or not because I have watched only one episode of that show. Not even the first. I really ought to though since it seems up my alley.)
WITH THAT SAID, fanfiction authors aren't exactly going to always be respectful about such topics and the like and it took the majority of a year for anyone to tell me people used the Betas for more than murderous, drug addicted psycopaths. Even those people praised a story for having the two get into random fist fights with strangers in a Denny's parking lot so... Yeah. I'm not going to say the characterization of the Betas in the fandom is the best, or their use for that matter.
With all that said, I feel like the nicer Amity has become, and the more the two have come closer and closer to their Beta designs, the less I see of the Betas. Even now, I see lot less blood smears and sadistic grins and a lot more "It's just a normal Lumity picture except a different design." These aren't criticisms really but more just me ruminating on the fact that I think the fandom lost a lot of people who liked the edgier possibilities because of how poorly the show handled its own edge.
As for me as a content creator, have I ever considered using the Betas? I mean, I have for a one off or two, notably a one off where Luz is a dragon and Amity the willing sacrifice to her, but a one off can be hard to capture anything really interesting about them. I'd say I've only had one idea where I maybe wanted to use the Betas and that idea is a Noir Mystery? (It's complicated) story where Amity is a brothel owner in part to make her mom mad, Boscha is both bouncer and stripper for said brothel and dating Amity and Luz is a detective but not super gritty or the like. More Columbo (from what I hear, haven't seen it myself) than normal pulpy fiction Noir types. Also her detective style would lean a lot more into reading people and connections than forensics.
Another story I could do a concept pitch blog for since god only knows when or if I'll ever get to it. That idea is WAY more fleshed out than the going to hell one though.
But yeah, the betas are fine in my opinion to exist and mostly fine in how the fandom uses them because... I mean, if you don't like what they're being used for, just don't consume it. It's not necessary AT ALL to be a part of the fandom and I think a lot of fandoms really need to learn to chill about content creators creating content they don't like.
I don't think people realize the sorts of spaces they're creating within their own fandom because of that or the damage to their show's popularity either. It's a complicated topic and one I've had to give a lot of thought as, well... Ex-erotica writer, remember? And I've still done one erotic story for TOH too, even if it's aged up.

rowan & amity: "will you help me" (tell me about this boyyyyyy)
he frowned. "this isn't a thing i can help you with, boss."
amity scowled. it was cute, in a pinched, hbic kinda way. rowan shifted where he sat, crosslegged on the counter, watching amity as she trained. or tried to, anyway. she wasn't doing very well.
"you've been a death guy--"
"moros."
"--whatever. for like a decade, yeah?" when he nodded, she continued. "then why won't you help me?"
rowan shook his head. "i told you, it's not that i won't, it's that i can't."
she crossed her arms, one foot tapping. clearly, she wanted him to continue. with a sigh, he hopped off the counter, socked feet against slick hardwood. "you said you do law." she nodded. "so you do a lot of speaking, right? you did debate or speech club or whatever in high school, right?"
"i don't see where you're going with this, but yes."
"you ever do tongue twisters?"
"...pardon?"
he gave her a look. "y'know, tongue twisters. like, sally sells seashells bullshit."
"i mean, i guess."
"so you know that thinking about it makes it harder to do. you can't think too hard about the phrase, or you'll fuck the whole thing up."
amity shifted her weight. "i mean, i never faced that problem myself," she said, fidgeting with the chain at her neck. he fixed her with a look. "alright, so you're saying that's my problem, then?"
he nodded again. "i saw you back at that house. you were just trying too hard. you gotta stop thinking about it and just do it."
"yes, well. this doesn't exactly come easily to the rest of us."
one dark eyebrow lifted. "you think this came easy to me."
she gestured. "you saw me at the house. i saw you."
rowan nodded, slipping his hands into his pockets. "alright, fair," he said, turning back to take his seat. "but i'm ten years up on you, boss. it takes work to make it look this easy." he hopped back onto the counter, letting his heels bounce against the bottom. "and i'm a moros. you aren't. you wanna get good, you gotta put in the work."
"i'm trying."
amity opened her mouth, then closed it again. bingo. instead, she blew a stray strand of hair from her face. "well, how long did it take *you* then?"
"me?" he chewed on a thumbnail. "to do that? seven months."
her eyebrows shot up. "seven months?"
he nodded. "i didn't have anybody to show me. my awakening was... bad. i was really isolated for a long time after, both in the hospital and in my life. i only really had two friends. i tried telling them what i saw in stygia, but they didn't get it. duh." he shrugged, dropping the hand at his mouth finally. "there weren't any other mages near me. i didn't meet another for two years."
amity's posture had changed, somewhat. less defensive, more curious. "what changed?"
"i got stupid and posted about it online." he laughed. "i had just left home. i needed *something*. so i found this old forum and posted about it. most of them thought i was crazy. hell, *i* thought i was crazy. joseph was the only one who thought i was an idiot."
"joseph?"
"yeah, he was my mentor a while back. he was actually an admin on the board. he deleted my post to keep up the veil, but then he got in touch with me. helped me figure it all out."
she looks entirely too pleased with herself. "so you *did* have someone teach you."
"not what i said." he held up a finger. "he helped me figure out, like, mage shit. not the actual magic. remember, i'd been doing it two years then. i can't teach you to relax, amity."
she grumbled. "i like boss better."
"i know."
there was a moment of silence. amity stared at the candle, the only illumination in the open space. "where's joseph now?"
"dunno. lost touch with him after he went rogue."
her head snapped up. "went rogue?"
rowan raised his left hand. "he became a seer a few years back. haven't heard from him since."
"...i'm sorry."
"yeah, well." he nodded his chin towards the candle. "do it. now. don't think. just act."
amity's eyes flicked down.
the room went dark.

out of spells- Gasps! from door kicked down! Oh, my word! He really wants me to talk about his URL! Okay. If you really really want me to. I will. Ahem.
I think you've more or less become my main Hunter and I'm not mains exclusive it's all from your confidence to send me things whenever you wish it. Your presence doesn't fail to get me jazzed to see your blog and Hunter daily for that reason. They do have a lot in common and that can make them but heads. I'm glad to have your blog so you and I can explore these relationships when the canonical show does not have the time.
Tumblr media
You just have a way of writing Hunter that feels so true to the original and in some ways even better than canon! I know that we roleplay a lot, but I enjoy how your Hunter and my Amity don't hold grudges against each other and just hate on one another for the sake of angst. It feels much more real to have them rip into each other through joking and sibling-like ways.
Yes, they will/are siblings now your honor. I hope one day Hunter and Amity will be in-laws. Anyway, all of that is said just to come right to the point you're my real-life Hunter-embodied friend. I can't believe our ages even match up with real years. Thank you, so much for discussing headcanons with me and just being Awesome in every way! You’re a sweet friend!

Detection (true version)
This is the second version of this prompt I've written. I decided I liked this take better. Like the other one, it is a loose continuation of Flight Simulation.
Prompt by @faedemon: Ghosts are naturally drawn to death. When people die in Amity Park, Danny keeps finding the bodies. (PR263)
.
"You know," said Detective Collins conversationally, "if most of these guys hadn't been dead longer than you've been alive, I'd be wondering if you were some kind of serial killer."
Danny hunched his shoulders.  As a… whatever he was, he had some powers.  Intangibility, invisibility, overshadowing, transformation, ghost sense, and now… this.  He guessed it might be an extension of his ghost sense.  After all, both had to do with finding dead people.
"What is this one, the sixth?"
"Fifth," corrected Danny, although that didn't make him any less miserable.  He stared through the trees at the swarm of forensics people.  This was the fifth dead human body he'd been drawn to since the Accident, not counting the incidents at the cemetery and the hospital.
Collins scribbled something on his notepad then snapped it closed.  “Okay, off the record?”
“Huh?  Uh, sure?”
“Is this some new thing from your parents?  Did they make a dead body finder and scrap it because it didn’t find ghosts?  Because, if so, the department would definitely like to get our hands on one.”
“What?”
Collins sighed, slightly, and continued at a slightly slower pace.  “If the reason you’re finding all these bodies is that you’re using one of your parents’ inventions, the police department will buy it from you.  Heck, we’d commission a dozen from your parents.”
“It isn’t an invention,” said Danny.  “But, I mean, that sounds like a good idea.  I don’t know how it’d work, but if it did, I could see it.”
As soon as he finished speaking, he wanted to punch himself in his face.  A perfect excuse, and he just hammered it to pieces.
“Pity,” said Collins.  “But this,” –he pointed at where Danny had found the skeleton– “isn’t normal.  Finding five bodies like this by coincidence is unheard of.  Did you get cursed or something?”
Danny shrugged.  Honestly, he might as well be cursed.  “My ancestors on my Dad’s side were witch hunters way back when, so it wouldn’t really surprise me, but…  I haven’t heard of any curse?  That doesn’t mean that I would have heard of a curse, even if there was one…”
“Hm.  Think you’re haunted?”
“My parents are ghost hunters,” said Danny.  “They aren’t always the most observant, but–”
“Danny!”  There was a crash near the park entrance.  Danny winced and blushed.  Marley Park was one of the biggest and wildest still in Amity Park’s services district, but they weren’t actually that far from the entrance.  It was very easy to recognize the sounds of his father’s driving.
“Did anyone tell them this was an active crime scene?” muttered Collins, flipping his pad back open.
“Probably multiple times,” said Danny.  Collins flinched a little, having probably not intended for Danny to hear.  Oh, well.
Danny’s parents thundered down the path, followed by a lot of shouting.
“Danny, baby!” said Maddie, throwing her arms around him.  “What happened?  What are you even doing all the way out here?”
“He found a body,” said Collins.  “Specifically a skeleton.”
“What?” said Maddie.  “Again?”
“Ohhh,” said Jack, almost growling.  “I know what this is!  This is some blasted ghost trying to make our Danny look bad!”  He pulled out a bazooka.  “When I find it, I’m gonna–!”
“Mr. Fenton,” said Detective Collins, “please, there are no ghosts here.  We took ectoplasm readings when we got here, first thing.  This is a crime scene.  You need to put your weapon away.”
Jack grumbled, but did so.  The other policemen in the area, who had put their hands on their weapons, slowly relaxed.
“Anyway,” said Collins, “this is an older body, so we…”  He trailed off and made a face.  “I think we all can agree this isn’t a coincidence anymore, but it’s safe to say that Danny wasn’t involved in the actual death of this person.”
“Of course,” said Maddie, who was still checking Danny over, as if the years-dead skeleton could have hurt him.
“Anyway, if you, any of you, ever figure out what’s causing…”  He gestured at Danny.
“Right,” said Maddie.  “We’ll let you know.”
Danny shrugged, because he sure wouldn’t.
“And our offer to refer you to a therapist still stands.”
“Thank you,” said Maddie.  “We’ll talk about it.”
Danny was bundled down the path and into the back seat of the GAV.  He slumped, feeling exhausted.
“Danny,” said Maddie, after Jack had started the engine.  “Why were you out here?”
Jack backed up enthusiastically, and Danny used his need to adjust his position as an excuse not to answer right away.  “I was just walking,” said Danny.
“Without your friends?” pressed Maddie.  “Or did they just leave before the police showed up this time?”
“They weren’t there,” said Danny.
Of course, the reason they weren’t there was that they hadn’t been able to keep up with the ghost fight once it started to go through walls.  And then, of course, Skulker just had to pick Danny up and rub in the fact that Danny couldn’t fly.
Jerk.
Danny much preferred Technus.  At least he only trapped Danny in video games and acted like an avuncular and completely out of touch mad scientist.  Dealing with him was almost fun, if completely terrifying sometimes.
(Pac Man was an abomination that should never have been created.)
Anyway, Danny had, eventually, managed to get Skulker back to ground level and fish him out of his stupid helmet.  By that point, though, he’d been in the park, and then he had to get out of the park and that’s when he’d noticed the pull.  And there was only one thing that particular pull led to.
Danny couldn’t just leave the body once he’d found it.  That would be… Well, illegal, probably, but considering he was a kinda-sorta vigilante whose existence was illegal under the Anti-Ecto Acts, he didn’t really care about that.  It was more about leaving a person forgotten and unmourned.  Not given proper rites, whatever those were for the person in question.
Maddie sighed at him.  Danny squirmed in his seat.
“They really weren’t with me at the park.”
“But you still haven’t said why you were there.”
“I was just walking.”
“Mhm,” said Maddie, dubiously.  “But why there?”
“Why not there?”
“Because it’s all the way across the city!” said Maddie.
“You’d tell us if you knew you were being haunted, right, Danno?” asked Jack.
“Yeah,” said Danny.  Well, if a ghost was really harassing him, he might.  He’d told them about Johnny.  He hadn’t told him about Skulker, though.  Was what Skulker was doing really haunting, though?
Attempted murder, though, sure.  Danny didn’t think he could leave without his skin, after all.
Maddie sighed.  “Alright.”
That signaled the end of the conversation, and Danny slid his phone out of pocket to text Sam and Tucker.
Danny: im w my prints
Danny: left the park
Sam: u ok
Danny: ye
Tucker: u sure? skulker got u rely good that time
Tucker: and he picked u up. still p sure u cant fly
Danny: shut up
Sam: yeah tuck thats the thing hes sensitive about
Danny sighed and put his phone away.  It was over and done with.  Everything was going to be fine.
At least, until the next time he found a dead body.  But how many missing dead people could there be in Amity Park?
.
The next time they went on a field trip, Danny wanted to beat his head in for even thinking something like that.
“Uh, Danny,” said Tucker, “you’re eying that wall really intensely.”
“Yeah,” said Danny, “that’s because there’s a corpse in it.”
“What.”
“Yeah, that was my reaction.”
“Hey, guys,” said Sam, walking up behind Danny and Tucker.  “I hate to interrupt your contemplation, but the art’s hung up over there.  Why are you both staring at a wall?  Are you turning into cats?”
“Well, Danny can already detect ghosts–”
Danny elbowed him in the side.  “There’s a dead body in the wall,” he muttered.
Sam’s eyebrows went up.  “In an art museum?”
“That is where we are.”
“You know what I mean.  What’re you going to do?”
Danny ran a hand through his hair, frustrated.  “I don’t know.  It’s not like there’s any,” –he waved his hand at the wall– “evidence, so I can’t just call.”
“Didn’t that one detective dude give you his phone number?” asked Tucker.  “Maybe he’d believe you.”
“I don’t know…”
“You could come back as, you know, and phase it out,” suggested Sam.
“My alter ego has enough problems without being associated with murder.”
“Maybe you could be an anonymous tip,” said Tucker, fiddling with the power button of his PDA.  “I could look up how.”
Danny made a face.  “They all know who I am.”
“All of them?” asked Tucker, skeptically.
“You try calling in five separate skeletons while being the son of ghost hunters.  Yes, they all know who I am.”
“You could still leave a letter.”
“You could ‘accidentally’ put a hole in the wall,” said Sam.  “Or you could phase something halfway in, and then when they have to clean it up, they’ll find it?”
“Doesn’t do much good when they might be the people to put it in in the first place,” said Danny, making a face.
“Could you tip someone off as… you know?”
“Same problem phasing it out of the wall.”  He covered his eyes, feeling the approach of a headache.
Ugh.  He was going to have to punch a hole in this wall.
He’d have to do it soon, too, otherwise the tour would move on and he’d have to try something else.
“Mr. Fenton, Miss Manson, Mr. Foley,” called Mr. Lancer, “we’re– Mr. Fenton!  Catcher in the Rye!  Why would you punch the wall?”  Over his shoulder, the tour guide and a security guard started jogging over.
“Uh,” said Danny, cradling his hand, because punching through drywall with his stupid unprotected human hand hurt.  “Because… There’s a skeleton in it?”
Why did he feel the need to tell the truth in stupid, stupid situations like this?
“Mr. Fenton,” said Mr. Lancer, thunderously, “stop making up–”  Danny knew the moment Mr. Lancer actually looked into the hole in the wall, because his face went the color of milk.  “The Cask of Amontillado,” he said, then sat down.
.
“So,” said Detective Collins, looking at the wall.  “You want to explain how you knew this one was there?”
Danny didn’t have to fake the tears of frustration in his eyes.  His powers were so stupid sometimes.
“Well,” said the detective.  “This is sure going to be a murder mystery and a half, then.”
.
“So, are we off to solve a murder?” asked Tucker.
“Why would we be solving a murder?” asked Danny, dropping his backpack on the floor of the bus, where they were waiting for the police to be done with all of them.
Tucker blinked.  “Because you just found a dead body.”
“It’s hardly the first time,” said Danny, quietly.  He didn’t exactly want something like that to become common knowledge among his fellow students.  Not that he expected it would stay quiet or anything.
“Well, yeah, but those were just, you know, accidental deaths.”
“We don’t know that.  We don’t know anything about solving murders, either.  Why are you suddenly so gung-ho about this?  I thought dead bodies freaked you out.”
“Sure do,” agreed Tucker.  He shrugged.  “Murder mysteries are cool, though.”
“Wow,” said Sam, looking up from her paperback.  “You aren’t okay with hospitals, but murder–”
“Look, it happened a long time ago, okay?  Guy was a skeleton.  Whoever killed him must be long dead by now.”
“Yeah,” drawled Danny.  “Long dead.  Because length of time spent dead is a good indicator of how much of a problem someone is going to be.  How long have Desiree and Poindexter been dead?  How about Technus?”
Tucker opened his mouth, closed it, went through a variety of emotions, then pushed himself to the end of the bench, muttering.
Danny leaned back, too.  Rumors at school and his bruised knuckles aside, this was almost peaceful.
“HEY!” bellowed Dash from the front of the bus.  “CORPSE SNIFFER!”
Aaaaaand there it went.

I don't have a name for my story yet, but I'm considering calling it "Missing Pieces", so let me know what you think of that title. I finished the first 2 chapters. It's not that great, but maybe I'll rewrite the story when I'm better at writing. Until then, I might as well set a foundation by writing the story now. You know what they say. "If you try to make it perfect, you'll never finish." So, here's chapter one of my Batfam and Danny Phantom fanfic that was inspired by "We came to this world together" by @random-ramblings0300 or Cloudy_with_a_chance_of_feels on ao3.
(This version of the first chapter has been scrapped. I wrote a new first chapter of posted it.)
Chapter 1
Tim stared at the social media post in front of him. There was a picture of three teenagers. There was a goth girl with pale skin, black hair, purple eyes, and a black crop top with a purple skull on it, as well as an African American boy with green eyes wearing a yellow sweater, black glasses, and a red beret, but the shocking thing that Tim Could Not take his eyes off of was the boy who looked exactly like Damian, but with pale skin and blue eyes.
"Something wrong, Timmers? You've been staring at your phone with a surprised look on your face for a while," Dick said.
"Come look at this," Tim had to show this to the others.
"Whoa! He looks kinda like Damian!"
"The Demon brat has a look alike! He's going to Hate this!" Jason laughed.
Bruce noticed the resemblance, but didn't say anything.
Then Damian walked into the room.
"What are you people on about?" He asked annoyed.
Tim showed him the picture. Damian tensed, his eyes wide. He grabbed Tim's phone.
Damian stared at the picture and couldn't believe his eyes. Was this possible?
Was it possible that his little brother was alive?
Damian looked at who posted the picture. It was the goth girl in the photo, but both of the other teenagers were tagged. He clicked on the name @Astro_Haunt to see the boy's account page pop up on the screen. It appeared that his name was Danny Fenton. Danny could stand for Danyal. That was the name of Damian's twin. Danny loved space and posted about astronomy a lot more than anything else, Damian thought of how his brother had always loved the stars. He found out that Danny lived in Amity Park.
"Gimme back my phone, Demon Brat!" Tim yelled as he snatched his phone back.
"Seriously, what's up with you?! You're acting kind of weird after seeing that picture."
Damian suddenly realized he had been holding his breath.
"I...
There's something I never told you guys that I probably should have...."
"And it has to do with the boy in that picture? That would mean-"
"You have a twin. Why didn't you tell us?" Bruce cut Grayson off.
"I-I believed he was dead," Damian looked away.
"We fought to the death when we were five years old and Grandfather decided he only needed one heir. We both lost something that day. I won the battle, but..."
"You lost your twin," Grayson finished.
"I asked mother to put him in the Lazarus pit, but she never told me if she actually did or not. I always hoped she had brought him back and sent him somewhere safe, but I never knew."
"Well, I guess we know what she did now," Todd added.
"If it's really him," Drake responded.
....................
That's the end of the chapter. The members of that batfam that aren't in this chapter are probably going to be in the story later. They just aren't home right now. Alfred is probably in the manor somewhere. He's just not in the same room as everyone else. The next chapter is more about Danny. I also cannot plan ahead very well, so I will be just as surprised as you by the path that this story takes. I also probably won't post a chapter until the one after it is finished. What do you think so far?
Edit: "The Missing Piece" doesn't sound bad either I guess.

The Owl House, Season 2, Episode 13, "Any Sport in a Storm," First Impressions!
Tumblr media
Well, I suppose this was bound to happen sooner or later. Time to possibly upset some people.
Please, go easy on me.
Okay guys, no recap this time. If you're reading this, then you've already seen the episode, so let's just jump right into it.
I’m going to be honest, but I feel like this might be the weakest episode of this season. Like, it wasn’t bad by any means, but it definitely felt pretty awkward and disjointed.
For one, the pacing was really off. I know they have to cram a lot into these episodes so there’s often not a lot of time to let things marinate, but at least the other episodes built up momentum toward an established goal. Here, it seemed like they took a bunch of ideas that they didn’t have any other place for, strung them together, snatched up a bunch of background characters we haven’t seen for a while to fill in the spaces, and worked out how they can get them to connect afterward. Like, we already had a sports episode that ended with a big game, and that was the climax of that episode. Here, there’s a whole new sport that’s even more Quidditch-like than Grudgby is (awkward) and it happens in the middle of the episode and doesn’t seem to be of all that much consequence by comparison, and then it’s off to the Emperor’s Coven stuff. I mean, the animation of the game itself was really good, but it just seemed to happen and then it was over.
Also, why did Professor Hermonculus suddenly have his own team? And why would he take Willow leaving his class so personally to such a ridiculous level?
Also, people changed their minds from one extreme to the other really quickly! From Hunter going “Yay, torture!” to “I must risk everything to save my team!” and Darius switching from despising Hunter to suddenly giving him his full respect and support. Like, sure, it can be explained away if you tried, like how Darius mentioned how much of a push-over Hunter is at the beginning of the episode to explain why he respected him only after Hunter grew a spine later, but there were a lot of these sudden shift in this episode that it got really noticeable.
As for the Luz and Amity sideplot, well, at least they didn’t overshadow their friend’s plot like they did in the Gus episode. But even so, it still felt pretty…superfluous, I guess? As if in, “Oh, we need some explanation for why Amity got her hands on these books, so let’s just bring back Tibbles!” So if Amity was the only person to ever buy those books, why advertise a meet-and-greet in the first place? I get baiting them, but that didn’t seem to be Tibbles’s aim at all. He just looked ready to write the whole thing off.
Why hadn’t he done that by now? And why is Mattholomule and Tiny Nose (sorry, Tinella Nosa) even involved?
Ugh, I hate complaining so much about something I like. Like I said earlier, this episode wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t that good compared to the rest of the season. It felt like one of the lesser season 1 episodes that would just make me go, “Huh,” before moving onto the next. Maybe it’s because season 2 has just been churning out banger after banger, so suddenly getting one that just doesn’t work for me feels a lot more jarring than it would have otherwise.
Plus, things have been kind of stressful for me as of late, and The Owl House has really become my end of the week pick me up, so maybe that’s why I’m more disappointed than I would be otherwise.
Which isn’t to say there isn’t a lot of good here. Like I said, the animation on the actual game was really good, with a lot of creative flying tricks used.
And as awkward as I found their arc, it was still adorable to see Hunter make friends. Him and Willow isn’t a pairing I saw coming (sorry, Hunter X Twins shippers), but now that I think about, they do have a lot in common in being made to feel left out and inadequate. Also, I got a laugh in seeing Viney as part of the team, seeing how she was another crack ship for Hunter that pops up a lot. And Skara joining Willow’s team almost immediately after Moringmark dropped that comic about her having a crush on Willow and her SWOLENESS got a laugh out of me. Though when did they become friends? I know Skara was nicer than Boscha, but this still seems like a big leap.
Speaking of which, that Penstagram looked like it was right out of that very comic. Lol at Eda basically stalking Raine’s profile.
As throwaway as the Lumity subplot felt, I do love how much of a thing their relationship is so now everyone knows about it, to the point where Boscha finds it annoying. And it was fun how it poked fun at all the theorizing that fans do. Honestly, the author being Luz’s mom from the future never occurred to me. But it makes sense, right?
RIGHT?!
Okay, speaking of which! Y’know how Hunter and Darius talked about the previous Golden Guard, and how Hunter wanted to wear his sigil?
Tumblr media
Look familiar?
Tumblr media
Yeah, okay.
I wonder about that previous Golden Guard. Was he also a Grimwalker? Like, a previous clone of Belos’s brother? Is Belos just going through them one after the other? But Darius insinuated that the previous GG had magic, which a clone of a human ought not have. Was the previous GG a full witch but Belos offed them and replaced them with Hunter once Hunter was created, and that was why Darius resented him so much?
While I found his sudden turn jarring, Darius was the scene-stealer here. Always great to have Kestone John ham it up, and I really enjoyed him being someone who just wanted to clock out and go home. Like, he wasn’t even going to take those kids to the coven, he was just going to drop them off at the school and hurry back home because screw it, it’s supposed to be his day off. I wonder if this is leading to more of him and Hunter having an actual friendship. And I love how petty him and Alador are at each other.
So yeah, a lot to like, but I felt the way it all fit together to be weird and awkward, and it just didn't do it for me.
Oh well, they all can't be slam dunks.

For the drabbles, maybe Luz breaking down and telling Willow what happened on Earth?
A Promise is a Promise
Tap!
Tap! Tap!
Tap! Tap! Tap!
Willow blinked the sleep out of her eyes as the sound of...something hitting her window had finally broken the spell of sleep put over her. Reaching for her glasses, Willow put them on and saw that it was currently one in the morning.
"What the--"
Willow then got startled by what sounded like multiple pebbles hitting her window at once. Getting out of bed, she walked over and looked outside. Down below, she saw Luz of all people looking up at Willow, anxiety plain and explicit on the human's face.
"Luz?!" Willow whisper-cried as she opened the window, "What are you doing here?! It's one in the morning!"
"I need to talk to somebody!" Luz called back, "Can I please come in?"
"I mean, I guess, but--"
But Willow didn't have time to finish that sentence. Because the second she gave Luz the green light to come in, Luz used a plant glyph to shoot up a vine to Willow's window sill and swing herself up. Once in the room, Luz began to pace, her anxiety looking as if it grew with each step she took around Willow's room.
"Sorry that I came here so late," she went on. "But this has been eating me up inside all week, and if I don't come clean to somebody, I might just pop!"
"Luz."
"I first thought of telling Eda, but that might make her worry. I thought about telling Gus, King, or maybe even Hooty, but there's no way they can keep a secret. And I definitely can't tell Amity!"
"Luz!" Willow grabbed her friend by the shoulders and looked her straight in the eye. "Will you please tell me what's going on? Whatever's bothering you, I'm sure we can fix it. Just like you've fixed a lot of things for--"
"I can't stay in the Boiling Isles."
Willow felt as though a mountain fell on her with how heavy that news felt. It took a lot of strength not to fall over from it as she stared at Luz with a mix of shock and astonishment.
"...Wha...what?"
"I can't stay in the Boiling Isles," Luz repeated, eyes gleaming, "After seeing my mom, I told her everything about this place, the friends I made, and everything I've gone through to get back. And...and when it was all said and done, she told me--begged me--to promise that I'd come back home and stay there. No matter what."
Now the weight was starting to feel too much to Willow. She needed to sit down and very much did so as she went over to her bed. But while she sat, Luz continued to pace.
"So...so when you leave--"
"When I leave, I won't come back," Luz interrupted, tears beginning to be let loose.
"Can't you just tell your mom you want to stay?"
"Would you tell your dads that you didn't want to be with them anymore?"
"I..." Willow sighed, "Of course, I wouldn't. That'd break their hearts."
"Exactly! Mom was already freaked when it finally hit her that she might not see me again. I-I-I can't just leave her, no matter how badly I want to stay."
"Maybe you can convince her to let you visit," Willow suggested.
"She was crying, Willow! She's so worried that she actually cried! There's no convincing after that!"
"Then what if we'll come visit?"
"That's too risky! You'd always have to wear disguises so nobody will know you're witches and try to dissect you or something!"
"Humans do that?!"
"They could! I'm sorry, Willow, I really am, but I have to leave. But believe me, I don't want to! I don't want to leave Eda or King. I don't want to lose the only friends I have. I don't want to break up with--"
Luz stopped her pacing as a realization dawned on her.
"Oh man, I have to break up with Amity!" Luz panicked even more, "We just started dating, and now I have to end it! How do I even do that?! I never thought I'd have a girlfriend, let alone break up with her! Especially one as awesome and pretty and smart and kind and fun and-and-and--"
"Luz!" Willow got up and grabbed Luz by the shoulders again, "Stop, you're spiraling!"
"Can you blame me?! Look at my situation!"
"I know! I know," Willow's hands slowly made their way down to gently hold Luz's. "This is a very tough situation. One where there's probably no good answer. But...panicking about it isn't going to solve anything."
"Then what do I do?" Luz begged for an answer.
"I...I don't know. I wish I did, but I don't."
Luz's shoulders sagged.
"I just want to make everyone happy," she said, her voice only a hair of a whisper. "How can I do that when thrown into this position where someone is going to have their heart broken?"
"You can't. I'm sorry."
Willow then pulled Luz into a hug. One that Luz accepted by squeezing Willow back that it hurt. But comforting a friend in need was beyond worth the pain.
"I think you should tell everyone," Willow gave her final suggestion, "If not to have more people to come up with ideas to help you, it will help you feel a whole lot better. Keeping the truth in clearly isn't doing you any favors."
"I know," Luz confessed, "But...but--"
"I know you don't want to break anyone's heart. But you're going to do that anyway if you left without telling anybody anything. Is that really better?"
"...No," Luz shook her head. "It's not."
"Exactly. So tell them. Not just for your sake, but for theirs."
"...Thanks, Willow," Luz said, hugging even tighter.
"You're welcome, Luz," Willow hugged back. "It's what friends are for."

Note
Eda's framed warning notice implies that she regularly checks out books from the library regardless of her card being revoked under various disguises because she keeps mishandling the manuscripts, and the librarians need to keep her image handy in case any newcomer is Eda in a thin disguise.

1. Yeah, I figured that much - it just amused me that the librarians went so far as to frame the photo. I'd think that just having her picture on hand would be enough. Of course, it wouldn't surprise me if Eda has stolen the photo in the past, so they put it in a frame to make it more difficult for her to get away with it.
Either way, it really goes to show how much of a name Eda has made for herself in causing trouble everywhere she goes.
2. Oooh, that's a very neat bit of information! Funnily enough, I was discussing Episode 4 with my siblings after finishing it, and one of them was wondering why Luz can draw circles so cleanly, since it's pretty hard to do. My actual response was to bring up FMA as another example of a series in which characters are required to draw perfect circles as an inherent part of the magic system and can generally pull it off without any problems... so it's quite the coincidence that these two facts turned out to be explicitly related! Thanks for letting me know!
3. Yeah... it's pretty telling that Amity compares Luz coming to the library to the idea of Amity herself going to cause trouble at the Owl House, which is where Luz lives.
I appreciate how nuanced the dynamic between Luz and Amity is. It's not just a simple case of "bully character is Mean so main character stands up against her and gives her a taste of her own medicine which is fine because she Deserves It" - the show makes it clear that Amity has her own perspective on things that happen that doesn't necessarily line up with Luz's, and that she can be hurt and that it matters how she feels, too. In Episode 3 and Episode 5, while Luz was acting in defense of her friends, Amity was genuinely hurt by what happened in both episodes, though I don't think Luz really understood that until the latter episode.
In Episode 7, Luz was trying to befriend Amity rather than get back at her, but she still overstepped her boundaries and inadvertently got involved in something she shouldn't (Amity's feud with her siblings). Amity saying that Luz was a bully was a bit funny considering her own previous actions, but she still had a point, even if she was missing some key details about what was actually going on. Just because Luz is our protagonist, and we know what she's thinking and why she does certain things, doesn't mean that she can't make mistakes or hurt other people. Meaning well doesn't prevent you from doing wrong, and anyone can be a bully to someone else if they aren't careful. Including Amity, including Luz.
And to be honest, "Amity has a point" could be said about most episodes she's been in - Luz was helping Willow cheat in Episode 3, Luz was going along with Eda's cheating while being fully aware of what was happening. And of course, as you've pointed out, in Episode 7 Luz did invade her privacy, and was also partly responsible for the whole mess with Otabin. Amity may be rude, but she's very much right that Luz has a habit of making problems for her.
It's mostly unintentional, and a lot of it is just Luz having a hard time saying no to someone she trusts or someone she thinks is cool, but all Amity can see is the end result, and that's Luz doing something to get her in trouble again. But because Luz means well, and because she doesn't want to hurt anyone, she's able to make things right in the end. I think (or at least I hope) that Amity's starting to understand Luz's intentions a bit better as well.
4. Yeah, that makes sense!
5. This is actually how I read that scene! Amity herself didn't really gain any benefits from volunteering to go next there; the teacher himself said "you know I like to save the best for last", so she would've known that she would get the perfect chance to show off if she waited. And given that she's a star student, extra homework wouldn't faze her at all, so it seems unlikely that she would volunteer just to avoid it (though I suspect that this is the answer she might give if anyone questioned her about her actions).
The most logical reason she would have to volunteer herself in place of any other student is that she wanted to prevent her classmates from having to deal with the extra homework. Not to mention, whoever was chosen to go next would inevitably have to deal with resentment from the rest of the class (all two of them) for getting extra homework put on them. If the teacher did choose Amity to go next, she'd miss out on a chance to make fun of one of her classmates for messing up, and she wouldn't gain much for it. It seems more likely that she was trying to help out the others rather than herself in this situation. But of course, since Amity is Amity and was acting very smug about the whole thing, it's pretty easy to miss.
6. Oh.

Aroace Hunter Week 2022 Day 4: QPR
@sergeantsporks
Rating: Gen
Characters: Hunter, Luz, Amity, Rascal
Relationship: Luz/Amity
Note: I first thought of Rascal, but I decided against it. I like just learned what QPR means a couple days ago and I don't know if people will be offended about the QPR being a bird. Also I really love Luz and Hunter's almost sibling relationship.
Hunter was reading alone in the room that Eda had given him. He was reading one of the many books that the Owl Lady had about wild magic. While Hunter had read multiple books on wild magic in the library of the castle. None of the books there had this much information even if Eda's book condition left much to be desired.
Suddenly there was a loud bang as the door swung into the wall. Hunter jumped and looked at the doorway. Luz was in the doorway and quickly rushed forward. She laid in front of him on her back. Her face was flush. She covered her face with her hands. She groaned.
"School that awful huh?" Hunter asked. He closed the book and gave her his full attention.
"No, it's Amity." Luz said
"Trouble in paradise?" Hunter asked
"I asked her out on a date." Luz said. Hunter frowned.
"And that is a bad thing?" Hunter asked.
"Yes...no...UHHHHHHHHH." Luz said. She set her hands down on the floor away from her body.
"You're going to have to explain this to me." Hunter said
"I want to have a perfect date with her, but I don't know what to do." Luz said
"Well what does Amity like?" Hunter asked
"She likes Azura, reading, abominations..." Luz listed
"Why don't you two read Azura together or some other book then." Hunter said. He shrugged his shoulders. Luz turned over and looked at him.
"That isn't really romantic." Luz said
"If you wanted romantic you wouldn't have come to me." Hunter said. Luz huffed. "I wouldn't be too worried about your date. Amity cares about you a lot." Luz smiled. "For some reason that I don't understand." That caused Luz to pout and cross her arms.
"I'm a joy to be around." Luz said. Hunter rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, you barging into my room and then demanding my help for a date is a joy." Hunter said sarcastically.
"I didn't demand your help. You asked and then offered advice. Bad advice keep in mind." Luz said. Hunter rolled his eyes.
"Did you expect anything different from someone who has never been on a date before?" Hunter asked.
"Fair." Luz said. They lapsed into a comfortable silence. Hunter returned to his book. Luz pulled out her homework. She began to do it.
"Do you ever want to go to Hexside?" Luz asked. Hunter looked up at her.
"No, why would I go to Hexside." Hunter said
"Oh, I don't know, to learn." Luz said
"I finished school years ago." Hunter said
"What?" Luz asked in shock.
"Yeah, that's why I am...was the Golden Guard. Did you really think that I was head of the coven and taking classes?" Hunter said
"I never thought about it, but I guess that makes sense." Luz said "What school did you go to? I'm guessing you were a Glandus student."
"I was homeschooled. I had the best tutors." Hunter said. Luz sat up on her knees.
"Wait, so you never went to a public school." Luz said
"Yeah." Hunter said
"So you've never interacted with people your own age?" Luz asked
"I interact with you and your friends." Hunter said
"That isn't what I meant." Luz said rubbing the back of her neck. "I meant like growing up before me." Hunter sat up on his knees and looked away from her.
"Yeah, I guess so." Hunter said. He blushed pink in embarrassment.
"So you never had a friend before me?" Luz asked in concern.
"I had Rascal." Hunter said. They looked over to the red cardinal palisman. They chirped and landed on Hunter's shoulder. The rubbed his cheek. He reached up and petted them.
"I understand what that's like." Luz said. She looked away. She crossed her arms. "I never had any friends until I came here." Luz then looked over at Hunter and gave him a small smile. "I guess we're both loners."
"Yeah I guess so." Hunter said. He returned the smile.
