so I’ve seen lots of fics about Bruce coming back and finding out things like Tim loosing his spleen or Damian getting shot (on multiple occasions by different people) and he almost always finds out by either having dug into the Batcomputers records and stumbling across it or just seeing it on scans or something after Tim or Damian is injured

but imagine for a moment Bruce finds out, not on his own, but by the others telling him.

And by “tell him” I of course mean that they all automatically assume that he already knows about all of it(because he’s the worlds greatest detective so obviously they don’t need to say anything) so they never bring it up until they mention it one day in passing and nearly give him a heart attack.

for example:

Bruce: Tim, I need you to come with me to speak with Dr. Thompkins down at the clinic about that new drug that’s been circulating

Tim: Oh, sure thing, just let me grab my mask

[Bruce not saying anything but looking at him confused because Tim is already fully suited up and wearing his domino mask?]:

[Tim, now wearing a surgical face mask]: Ok, I’m ready! [Bruce just staring at him, waiting for some explanation. He doesn’t get one.]:

Bruce: Tim

Tim: hm?

Bruce: Why are you wearing a face mask..?

Tim: Oh! Well Dr. Thompkins got mad at me last time I came to the clinic without one because there’s a lot of sick people there and I should be more careful since I’m immunocompromised-

[Bruce, immediately cutting him off]: Wait, what?

[Tim, slightly confused]: She got mad at me when I didn’t wear one last time..?

[Bruce, equally confused and growing very concerned]: No, not that. You’re immunocompromised?

[Tim, now completely lost because this is all common knowledge?]: Uh, yeah??

[Bruce, even more concerned]: How??? What do you mean??

[Tim, getting annoyed and rolling his eyes]: Well that’s what they call you when you have no spleen, Bruce.

Bruce: What.

[Tim finally realizing that, just maybe, they skipped a step]: I have no spleen? It got stabbed so Ra’s took it

[Bruce, about to have an aneurysm]: RA’S DID WHAT-

______ Or like him finding out Damian had his entire spine replaced

Bruce: Hey, do you think it’s strange Damian’s so small?

Dick: No?? He’s ten?? Ten year olds are small?

[Bruce, audibly concerned]: No, I mean don’t you think he should have grown some by now? Is he not eating enough?

[Dick, immediately relaxing]: Oh, that? Yeah, it’s fine

[Bruce, still concerned]: Are you sure? I was taller than that at his age

[Dick, waving his hand dismissively]: Nah, he’s fine. I think the spine replacement just stunted his growth a bit

Bruce:…

Dick:..?

[Bruce, near hysterically because all his kids somehow keep losing pieces of their insides and none of them seem bothered by it??]: his wHAT- ____

Dick has to spend the next several hours trying to stop Bruce from making everyone do a mandatory medical examination so he can make sure none of his other kids are missing anything

Dick promises that it was just the two things

Bruce is not reassured

like i know netflix doesn't care, because they're all about new subscriptions over anything else, but do they not realize they've created a self-fulfilling prophecy? they cancel shows after 1 or 2 seasons because they didn't get the instant viewership they wanted, which makes people jaded and resolve not to watch new shows from them until it's finished, or at least has several seasons under its belt, which means that their new shows doesn't get the instant viewership they wanted

Here's what I'm thinking about on this fine evening: Ketterdam has a HUGE CANAL SYSTEM that runs pretty much through the entire city and I, somehow, completely missed that.

Here's the Ketterdam map, right? We know her. We love her.

BUT, let's zoom in a little:

You can see very clearly here that those thicker, darker colored lines connect distinctly into the harbor, which means that they are ALSO WATER.

So, if a person with a Six of Crows obsession and maybe a little too much time on their hands were to take that map and color it so that all of the water was blue, it would look something like this:

Now, I may just be stupid, but I'd like to believe there is at least one other person who will be as baffled upon seeing this post as I was when I made this realization. It's water!! Canals are a major form of transportation in Ketterdam!! This not only is very interesting to me in regards to Ketterdam’s culture, but it also changed the way I pictured the city in my head. This is life-changing stuff, people.

This whole scene with Allen talking to Nolan in the prison was so good on its own merit, finally getting to hear how Nolan himself had internalized everything he did back on earth during the S1 finale had not only affected him, but his son as well, and he feels absolutely TERRIBLE about it.

But that last bit of dialogue he says right before the screen cuts to black caught me so off guard, left me speechless for a moment.....

The way JK Simmons delivers the line, it's a line of honesty but of total surprise as well. The way his voice softly quivers and trails off as he starts to realize this, like he wasn't expecting to feel this way, after everything he had said about her and how painful was for Debbie to even hear those words.

After all of that, he still misses her.

Way to go, JK. You are a GOAT for voice work like this.

A complete panic knit for my friend. I started to think about what would happen if we had another 18° winter and so pumped out this hardy, if unpractical, sweater. It’s non-superwash wool, but I figure it’s better to have as an option on a really cold day than not. I finished it off with some little bone buttons that I love so much.

I sketch out the weird surreal-y forms based on what shapes I see stained onto the bone itself— the natural discolouration from decomposing in the woods. It kinda feels like I’m capturing their ghosttttt!!!!!! Every scapula is from the animal depicted on it (a horse and a deer, in this case).

Okay I've been lurking in the DP x DC fandom and had an idea I'd like to share.

*throws a handful of deer vertebrae at you*

You know how cat/wolves/lion fight their kits/pups to teach them how to defend themselves? Well ghosts do that too.

Danny having regressed to a somewhat feral ghost state (insert angsty backstory) arrives in the DC universe, sees all these baby heroes (to him) fighting and struggling against some of their foes and goes 'must teach the babies how to fight' and straight up start throwing down (gently by his standards)

Of course the league, batfam, or whoever don't see it like that. So they're fighting this creature with all they got and from their point of view it is not going well.

Eventually it devolves to a point where they are seriously losing and the powerful creature gets to one of them (hero of your choice), fangs at their throat... But it doesn't bite down ?

Instead, the being slightly pinch down before crooning and playfully nudging them with his head. Then he back up and lets his guard open as if saying "okay now your turn to attack :D"

Cue 2 realizations:

-this being is not trying to hurt them and from up close looks awfully like a teenager

-it wasn't fighting at full strength ? how powerful is it really ?

(later, Danny does the almost bite to Jason and ends up spluttering like a cat tasting saltwater and immediately wraps around him like a boa to heal him from the pits)

Garfield flies on down to Tim but pauses in his step as an eery sound echoed around every street and building. "I'm sorry did the Devil Ghost Guy just giggle?!"

Tim took a long sip from his thermos looking up at the two clashing figures in the sky. "You heard it the same as I did."

"He's fighting SUPERBOY!"

"Yup."

Beast Boy looks over at Tim utterly baffled. "How are you so calm right now. Did he mind control you or something? Can he mind control people?"

Tim lazily shook his head as he readjusted his position on the concrete rooftop that he was watching the action from. "I mean, not that I know of. They've been at it for two hours now."

"tWO HOURS?"
